The newest episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur had me thinking

In the first episode, Casey reveals that she’s 13 years old to James Jr and Adria...

In "Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow" it's implied that Lunella, Casey, and their classmates are in 8th grade. This would make them 13-14.

It's usually tradition that Jewish girls have their Bat Mitzvahs on their 12th birthdays (13th for the boys). But they can be postponed by the Bat/Bar Mitzvah kids or their parents. And with what we've seen so far, Casey's dads are big on the Bat Mitzvah traditions, but also want her to be happy.

And we know that before Lunella, Casey didn't have any friends.

Could Casey have had her Bat Mitzvah postponed until she made at least one friend?!

While Knocked Loose received a fair amount of praise for their first two albums, the band’s third long-player, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To — which dropped three weeks ago — has been receiving absolute raves: “Hardcore punk’s dark stars go supermasive,” says the Guardian. “The Kentucky metalcore quintet cleverly channel pop — and even reggaeton grooves — to create an album of crushing intensity and vast scope.” And last night the Bluegrass State five-piece cut loose at a sold-out Brooklyn Steel.

Knocked Loose: Upon Loss singles (2023)

Nothing, and I mean nothing, was more morbidly horrifying and sorrowful in 2021 that A Tear In The Fabric Of Life, the epic metalcore concept e.p. doubling as a stop-motion animated feature that became a stand-out release for themselves and the genre. They literally pushed their devastation to new limits that they had both their loyal fans and newcomers floored beyond amazement. 

So why stop there? Why not keep most of that momentum going without burning out? That’s the flag they’re placing on a (currently) stand-alone single hinting at a new full-length and it’s a two-parter. They’ve returned with an intensity between A Different Shade Of Blue (2019) and their previous outing. The first-half “Deep In The Willow” shows us that Knocked Loose are as unhinged and uncontrollable as they always were; going to war and relentlessly tearing it up complete with tempo changes and beatdowns. Bryon Garris never got over his endless panic mode that never failed to keep nerves in check. Then a rapid drum beat - as soon as it switches itself to “Everything Is Quiet Now” (it’s anything but), Knocked Loose becomes that fired-up tiger focused on gunning down its prey, catching it, slowly devouring it, and going along it’s day like it’s no problem. Guitar riffs wielded by Isaac Hale and Nick Calderon swing around furiously along with Kevin Otten’s basslines going full undertow while Kevin Kaine’s drumming goes right to the jaw. Goes to show they’re not done taking bodies and lives. Not by a longshot.

The difference between Arthur’s relationship with Eliza and Mary was that Mary was who he loved and Eliza was who he had a kid with.

Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like he hated Eliza or anything. They just so happened to be at the right place at the right time- she was a waitress and Arthur was just passing through. Eliza getting pregnant was likely something neither of them had expected. Yet, Arthur did the right thing by not completely abandoning them. Instead he visited as often as he could and gave Eliza money to help out. He also tried to do right for Isaac, showing the kid that he did have a father.

With Mary, it hints that they met when they were young and have been on and off ever since. She was the one who received a ring from Arthur. Despite their less than smooth relationship, they found their ways back to each other. And despite knowing that they’d never likely work considering who they were, they still longed.

I feel like this can also be shown when Arthur has his conversation with Sister Calderon when he says “I had a son” then “I had a girl who loved me, I threw that away.” I’m pretty sure that even though he mentions Isaac, that girl is Mary, not Eliza
