The difference between Arthur’s relationship with Eliza and Mary was that Mary was who he loved and Eliza was who he had a kid with.

Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like he hated Eliza or anything. They just so happened to be at the right place at the right time- she was a waitress and Arthur was just passing through. Eliza getting pregnant was likely something neither of them had expected. Yet, Arthur did the right thing by not completely abandoning them. Instead he visited as often as he could and gave Eliza money to help out. He also tried to do right for Isaac, showing the kid that he did have a father.

With Mary, it hints that they met when they were young and have been on and off ever since. She was the one who received a ring from Arthur. Despite their less than smooth relationship, they found their ways back to each other. And despite knowing that they’d never likely work considering who they were, they still longed.

I feel like this can also be shown when Arthur has his conversation with Sister Calderon when he says “I had a son” then “I had a girl who loved me, I threw that away.” I’m pretty sure that even though he mentions Isaac, that girl is Mary, not Eliza

To add on to the idea of oc not being able to conceive….would Jaehyun kill her then if she didn’t? or would he go through every method. I initially saw the vision of her having an IUD implanted from way before and not telling him but that wouldn’t make sense cause she made Jaehyun use a condom so 🥸

well let’s remember that condoms aren’t only used for pregnancy prevention; they’re also used to prevent disease spread. the logical thing to do when you’re hooking up with someone you’ve never met before and whose sexual history you don’t know is to use a condom. so if you really want to imagine the IUD thing then it’s not completely impossible (i hope this doesn’t sound condescending like i’m sure you know this but i just wanted to make it known that it’s most def still possible)

but yes i would certainly say he’d kill her if she couldn’t conceive lol. this is a man on a mission and he always kills girls when they don’t meet the mark. he’s not gonna stop till he finds “the one” or something makes him stop (death, prison, or crippling health - whichever comes first)

I'm absolutely losing my mind seeing "We need to not treat men and masculinity as inherently evil and worthy of hatred, and not fall back into biological and gender essentialism because that hurts everyone, including trans women" being misinterpreted as "Women need to stop oppressing men", "I think trans women are actually men" or "You specifically who have trauma around men need to get over it because men are the real victims". It's so willfully disingenuous. It makes me sick how willing people are to read in bad faith, especially how willing other trans women are to suddenly start harassing and dogpiling another trans woman.

I am a trans woman too, I understand what it's like to feel unsafe, but it helps no one this cynical attitude that crops up every time someone suggests being kind to men in our lives. "You could save a man you know from falling down the alt-right pipeline" is not the same as "It's your fault that men murder you". "There are people who could be on our side if we don't meet them with immediate hostility" is not the same as "You need to shut up and stop criticizing power structures for the sake of your oppressors' feelings" (I promise there are a lot of people who can be taught about their complicity in oppression without immediately shutting down but you need to work with them). This kind of attitude isn't somehow more informed or correct. It's just lashing out to avoid considering one's own agency.

Making a better, safer world for ourselves requires all kinds of work, but it's always work. It's hard to try to reach out to people who could very realistically harm us, it's work that not all of us can afford to or are able to do and that's fine because we're all just trying to survive. But some of you would rather condescend, tear each other down, and make more enemies before even considering it a possibility.

I know we're not on the Hearts chapter but, I have a feeling the SSR will be Cater? But also him having the tear animation, since I have a feeling his dream will be a bit like Ruggie's q-q

I'm leaning towards either Cater or Ace, personally! Trey and Deuce have kinda already had their character arcs -- though someone else did mention to me that they thought it might be Trey, because so far all the vices have gotten one. though that might just be coincidence. we'll find out I guess!

my red-string-on-corkboard theory is that Ace is gonna get his arc + UM during whatever goes down with Grim, so while I could be completely wrong, I think it'd be nice if it were Cater's time to shine! ...also I am VERY curious as to what his dream is gonna be. 👀 like, I don't think he's gonna be all angsty or anything, he's a pretty cheery guy even though he pretends to be more vapid than he is, but...what would he be like if he were less. y'know.

DPxDC The Invisible Bat

I've been listening to Alone Again by Weathers on repeat lately, so this post is inspired by it.

Rumor on the street says there is a new Bat in the flock. Yet, there is no proof - no one has seen them, no one has heard them, no one knows if that's true or not.

But, the thing is, every once in a while, a fight with one of the Bats is... harder than expected. A second hit, heavier than the first one, is delivered to the same place Batman's fist landed. Another bullet comes from a different direction than where Red Hood was standing. A cold edge of a blade is pressed to the neck just seconds before Robin's katana does the same.

Over the next few weeks, the rumor grows. Until, one day, someone calls it Invisible Bat, and the name sticks. The unnamed presence that follows the vigilantes gets its recognition.

Meanwhile, the Bats have no idea to who or what is following them. All they've been able to learn about it so far is that the Invisible Bat doesn't like the attention, registers as a vague cold spot in thermovision, and escapes without a trace every time they acknowledge it.

A month of fruitless attempts to either capture on camera or befriend the Invisible Bat later, Damian suddenly stops in his tracks in the middle of the Cave, like he's just seen a ghost. Then, he leaves to find Tim in a rush.

Two days after that, Nightwing finally catches their new team member on film. The old camera he borrowed from Tim on Damian’s insistence shows a picture of a boy with white hair, wearing what looks like a hoodie and jeans, with eyes bright and green, like Lazarus Waters.

Is this Al Ghul Twins? Is this 'Danny escaped GIW and now helps the local vigilantes'? Is this some sort of amnesia prompt, where Danny only remembers his Protection Obsession? Is this de-aged prompt? Who knows.

I only wanted the irony of Gothamites calling Danny the 'Invisible Bat' while his first alias was 'Inviso-Bill'.
