Hey tumblr I need help finding a Naruto fanfic about iruka. Basically Naruto tells iruka he lost the headband he gave him and how sorry he was, iruka is like "then it did it's job" cuz it's a forehead protector after all. And how iruka can't protect Naruto anymore but he can do this and gives Naruto a new headband (ie his own again), later after Naruto leaves kakashi appears and gives iruka his own headband so iruka will always be safe even when kakashi isn't there mirroring iruka's words to Naruto

Sometimes I wake up and remember the time I was shipping KakaIru. I was so sure one day they would be canon, and we had literally NO MATERIAL to prove that. Full delulu but I was INTO IT like crazy.

I wrote an entire fanfiction of them getting together. Never published it, but they still live happily in my head. Never read/watched Boruto so idk if I'm even more delulu than before.

Sometimes I just start thinking about them again, and they are in their small house at the far end of Konoha, sitting on the roof and watching the sun go down behind the trees before heading to bed one hand on each other to protect themselves.
