Upał daje się we znaki nawet najbardziej wytrwałym. Otwarta przestrzeń nie daje przed nim żadnej osłony. Jedynie kilka dużych pinii i oliwek zapewnia minimalną ilość cienia. Na tej otwartej przestrzeni snujemy się aby zobaczyć ruiny pałacu Knossos, stojącego tu już 5000 lat. Odrestaurowane fragmenty, pomagają sobie wyobrazić, jak kolorowo i majestatycznie wyglądał pałac w latach swej świetności. Spacerujemy pozostałościami rozległych korytarzy, wyobrażając sobie co jeszcze skrywa ziemia, jaki labirynt jest pod nami. Może nadal czeka w nim Minotaur?

What do you think about the tv show kaos on netflix? I watched on episode with my mom once and they made astyanax a full on adult thats hooking up with perseus . They made troy a neighborhood in iraklio . Like the one in krete .

I haven't watched anything from it. I've heard people saying good things and bad things about it but I know I'm not in the mindset to enjoy whatever good parts it may have right now so I just haven't watched it. I don't like the whole thing with taking mythological characters and essentially using them as marketing to get people interested in your story that completely changes everything about these characters. It's a bit like taking spiderman, changing everything about his story and personality and putting him in a movie about losing your sister to opioid addiction. You're just using spiderman as wrapping paper at that point.

Write about your own fantasy dysfunctional family of gods and make it a series, that'd be more fun, I would watch that. Anyway i have nothing to say about the series itself, I have only seen a couple screenshots and a couple people talking about it.

16.03.2025, 11:00: Ausflug nach Rethymnon

Rethymnon ist eine Hafenstadt im Norden der Insel Kreta. Sie ist nach Iraklio und Chania die drittgrößte Stadt der Insel.

Wie alle Orte auf Kreta haben die byzantinischen, venezianischen und osmanischen Zeiten ihre Spuren hinterlassen und seit 1913 gehört Kreta zu Griechenland.

Bei einem Spaziergang über die Festung, durch den Hafen und durch die Altstadt kann man die Spuren entdecken.

Auf der Festungsanlage „Fortezza“ errichteten die Osmanen ab 1646 auf den Ruinen der venezianischen Bischofskirche San Nicolo die Sultan-Ibrahim-Moschee.

Bei unserem Spaziergang war es sehr stürmisch, so dass man die 28 °C nicht wirklich gespürt hat. Nur in windstillen Ecken wurde es einem recht warm.

Das größte und schon von weithin das Stadtbild prägende erhalten gebliebene Moscheegebäude ist das der Neratzes- oder Gazi-Hussein-Moschee mit seinem schlanken 34,5 Meter aufragenden Minarett und den drei Kuppeln.

Die Porta Guora auch “Großes Tor” genannt, ist einer der wenigen Überreste der ehemaligen Stadtbefestigung aus dem 16. Jahrhundert.

Die Kirche Tessaron Martyron ist vier, von den Osmanen 1824 hingerichtetenMärtyrern, gewidmet: Angelis, Manuel, Georg und Nikolaus.

Die Kirche St. Antonius von Padua in der Altstadt wurde 1897 für die römisch-katholische Gemeinde Rethymnos erbaut und wird bis heute für die Messe genutzt.

Sehr schön ist auch die weiße Kirche der Engel.
