A Strategic Approach to College Savings Using Life Insurance for Long-Term Financial Security
Saving for college is a significant financial commitment, and families are constantly seeking strategies to ease this burden. One often overlooked option is saving for college with life insurance. This strategy offers flexibility and financial stability since it not only creates a safety net but also lets cash worth increase with time. Understanding the benefits of a life insurance college fund strategy can help families create a versatile and effective college savings plan.
What is Saving for College with Life Insurance?
Using a permanent life insurance policy—such as whole life or universal life insurance—saving for college with life insurance means building cash worth over time. Permanent life insurance policies generate cash value that is accessible to the policyholder for the duration of their lifetime, whereas term life insurance only offers coverage for a predetermined time. This growing cash value can be borrowed against or withdrawn to help cover the costs of college tuition, books, or other educational expenses.

Why Consider a Life Insurance College Fund Strategy?
A life insurance college fund strategy offers several unique advantages over traditional savings plans. Unlike 529 plans or other college savings accounts, the cash value in a life insurance policy can be used for any purpose, not just education. This flexibility ensures that if your child decides not to attend college, the money can still be utilized for other significant financial goals. Furthermore, the cash value grows tax-deferred, making this strategy a valuable tool for building long-term wealth.
How Does Life Insurance Help with College Savings?
The life insurance college fund strategy is particularly appealing because of the potential for tax-advantaged growth. As premiums are paid into the policy, a portion goes toward building cash value. Over time, this cash value grows, and when it’s time to pay for college, the policyholder can borrow against or withdraw from it. Since loans from life insurance policies are not taxed, it’s a tax-efficient way to access funds for higher education.
Flexibility and Security in College Planning
Unlike traditional college savings vehicles, saving for college with life insurance provides more flexibility. In cases where a child may receive scholarships or choose an alternative career path, the funds in a 529 plan can face tax penalties if used for non-educational purposes. Life insurance, on the other hand, does not have this limitation. The cash value remains available for a wide range of uses, offering financial security beyond education.
Start Early for Maximum Benefits
Starting alife insurance college fund strategy early is crucial for maximizing the benefits. The earlier a policy is purchased, the more time the cash value has to accumulate. By the time college expenses arise, there will be a substantial amount available to cover educational costs. Additionally, starting early ensures lower premiums, making it a more affordable long-term solution for families planning for the future.

Conclusion
Saving for college with life insurance is a flexible and tax-efficient strategy that provides both financial security and peace of mind. With a life insurance college fund strategy, families can build wealth, ensure protection, and fund educational expenses without facing the restrictions of traditional savings plans. Visit retirenowis.com for professional advice to investigate how this strategy might be customized to meet your financial objectives.

Actually? You know what would be darkly hilarious?
If, when the GIW can't get ghosts declared both malicious AND non-sapient/sentient? They push for "dumb animals" instead.
Which is accepted. Ghosts are animals. Checks out, says scientists everywhere.
HOW "dumb"?
What? Says the GIW, mid-victory high fives. They did not expect a follow up question. They SHOULD have, as this is the SCIENTIFIC community and that is literally their job, but here we are.
How. "Dumb"? The scientists repeate slower. What methodology did you use? What is your sample size? Are their different sub-species? Is this dimension like ours? Is Ghost the equivalent to Mammal? It says here their are humanoid ones.
What IQ are we talking about here and HOW DID YOU TEST??
A goldfish, parrot, and dolphin are all animals. WILDLY different levels of intelligence. You can't treat them the same. Technically speaking, WE are animals.
The GIW does not like where this conversation is going. Tries to shut it down.
.......well NOW the scientists are both offended AND invested. How DARE you try to push faulty science and hide the Truth from them! They're gonna do their OWN studies! *picks up the phone and dials that one embarrassing spiritualist friend they had in college* Hey! You still think you can summon ghosts? I'll pay you to try it for Science!
And like? As a Ghost? It's degrading as hell. But ALSO these fuckos just Whoopsie'd you into having both protections under the law, since animal abuse IS illegal, AND just put the ENTIRE planets scientific community on their asses.... by accident.
So you take a deeeeeeep breath you don't even need. Remember you're doing this for the little ghost babies and fluffy ghost animals. And show up at a research facility like "yes, hello, I am Ghost. Here for you to poke and prod at. Please ask me to name the object on the flash card or whatever IQ tests do these days."
Should you HAVE to prove your own fucking sentience? No. But? You do it. You're even polite about it. Ask for a copy of the study they plan to publish so you can BEAT some mother fuckers with it. The scientists nod in understanding and use the BIG font for your copy so it'll hurt more.
They've been there.
And just? Shitty people getting what they wanted only to have it blow up in their faces?? I see all these angst "but what if they were declared ANIMALS" prompts and I just?? Are we talking PARROT or goldfish!? One has the average intelligence of about a human 4yr old and the other is a FISH! People get RIGHTFULLY furious when you treat INTELLIGENT animals badly.
And would, in fact, adapt pretty easy to discovering one of said animal has become HUMAN lvl intelligent. It's easy to grasp the idea of human intelligence lvl dolphin or monkeys. Maybe there was some mutated strain, maybe in uetro tampering. Who knows. But if I tried to sell you a human intelligent housefly? Gold fish? Lizard?
You wouldn't believe me. There is some kind of trick at play.
So if GHOSTS are seen as animals? Everyone nods and then later? Someone comes in TV and very excitedly informs you "we found INTELLIGENT LIFE amongst the ghosts!" You'd believe it. Probably be really excited by your conversation starter for the day. Get a taco and move on with your life.
But? Having to willing sit for a barrage of testing? Is going to suuuuuuck so bad. Poor Danny. SATs all over again. For HOURS. At multiple facilities, just to be CERTAIN it's not a one off. All because he not certain he can insure good behavior from other ghosts and This Is IMPORTANT. He ALSO can't be certain it's even SAFE.
Might be a trap.
But if he has to do it again and again and again? Mexico to Bavaria to China to the Maldives? If this is what it takes for the scientific community to bitchslap the GIW into ORBIT before the UN? Hand him that pencil.
He has no where more important to be.

I spent, at a minimum, at least $500-$1,000 a month exclusively on my self improvement. Here is most of what I spend on, in no particular order:
Education (classes, books, courses, certifications, college tuition, seminars, etc.)
Private lessons for languages, musical instruments, sports, etc.
Personal hobbies and passion projects
Crest whitening strips (great when in a pinch), Invisalign, professional whitening, preventative dental care, prescription whitening products from my dentist
Investments such as index funds, REITs, ETFs, CDs, individual stocks, commodities, appreciative luxury items, precious metals & gems, etc.
Organic food, vitamins, supplements, high quality healthcare, therapy, massages, prescriptions (Rx skincare, etc.)
New glasses & contacts (getting some bayonetta glasses from Burberry soon, very excited)
Sports, gym membership + sauna, hot yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, tennis, skiing, dance, etc.
Personal care such as bath/shower products, body care, haircare, skincare, makeup, brightening eye drops, perfume, etc.
Travel, events, concerts, festivals, etc.
Shopping (clothes, accessories, home goods, etc.)
Eating out at restaurants and going to coffee shops
Beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures, waxes, brow tint & threading, salon blowouts, hair cuts & colors, facials, lash lift & tints, vitamin IVs, etc.
Regular visits to my dermatologist, dentist, psychiatrist, eye doctor, primary care physician, gynecologist, and any other specialists
Semi-regular appointments with a personal trainer, holistic nutritionist, and dietitian
I don't do all of these every single month, but most of these are recurring throughout the year and budgeted accordingly. Eventually I might add in more intense cosmetic work like medspa services, Botox, etc. If you can find a workplace with a great benefits package such as high quality healthcare, an HSA/FSA, health & wellness reimbursements for the gym, disability & life insurance, etc. I would highly recommend it and max out all the benefits you can.

I'm on my second career path choice after disliking my first choice (both fields required schooling), and I'm finding that I also strongly dislike my second choice. I'll be 27 soon and I'm feeling like a failure. All I want is to make decent money and not be miserable. I really thought the fields I chose would be right for me when I chose them and had to learn the hard way that they weren't. I'm tired, tired of being a perpetual beginner and of spending so much time and energy on schooling and "figuring it out". I just want to be doing the thing and move forwards so I can focus on the things that really matter to me. Any advice for someone in this position?
It sounds really frustrating. I wish we lived in a world where a person was free to explore careers without attaching a university size price tag to it. Here's the deal though: 27 is not old. I know it feels old, but I promise you it's not. I'm 37 myself and exploring my options and I don't feel too old at all. Many people do it. Since you're asking for my advice, I think for now you can work the highest paying job you can stand and pay off debt. Personal fulfillment in one's career is something to be envied, but obviously not the reality for most people. Show up, cash your check, pay down debt, and invest time and energy into your relationships and hobbies. I imagine your disillusionment with the first two careers might have been caused by any number of factors: 1) A misunderstanding of what working the career looks like day to day. 2) A youthful ignorance to the realities of capitalism. 3) The personal transformation that occurs between the ages of 18-27 changed you into a person that's no longer interested in the things you once were. The good news is that your personality begins to settle as you approach 30. You know much better what you need and want, your limitations, and the limitations of the world around you. I think you'll find the career path you're looking for. Just buckle down, make some money, make a secure place for yourself financially and socially, then revisit the subject when your sense of self solidifies.
Now I never talk about this because it's plain rude and makes me look like a jackass. When I went to college at 18 I had a small fortune from my dead father's life insurance. $250,000 or right about there. I spent all that money in 4 years and landed flat on my ass at 22 with nothing. I worked assembly line, food court, drug dealing, writing for scam websites, retail, online sex work, and even sold buttons at sports games. It took me until I was 28 to go back to school and I had to take out student loans to do it. But by that time I knew what I wanted. That initial failure of losing all that money, in the end, gave me the life experience to make wise choices. It was soul crushing the entire time but even the poor can make due with friends and a sense of humor. Don't beat yourself up. The past is the past. You will be fine.

When I was a teenager, my dad decided it was a good idea to keep as much cash as possible in the bedroom safe. I don’t remember exactly when this was, but it was probably around 1987. That’s when the stock market crashed so badly that people feared another Great Depression.
My dad didn’t trust banks, because his dad didn’t. Grandpa came of age during the Great Depression. He remembered and feared bank runs and bread lines and not being able to find things, forget about not being able to afford them. He grew up to be the kind of man you don’t see anymore. No one saves jars and scraps of tin foil. In his youth, those were hard to come by. We live in an age of abundance now.
At least I thought so. Since watching the Dow fall and fall and fall, before springing back up again, I’ve been thinking about my dad’s decision to pull cash out of the bank and keep it close – about his fundamental distrust of banking, finance and that class of men who manage to make money, not with labor, but other people’s money.
I’ve been thinking about how the fear of another Great Depression seemed to fade into the background as I grew up and entered college, to the point where having doubts about investing your life-savings in the stock market was quaint and old-fashioned. Even my dad seemed to accept this fashionable faith in the markets, however grudgingly.
By the middle of the 1990s, the world was roaring with globalization. The internet and the information economy had arrived. Company pensions were passé. The new trend was putting your nut in a bunch of letters and numbers: 401Ks, IRAs, 501c3s, etc. As long as we had “diversified portfolios,” we had little to fear, we were told. But if things went really wrong – like people-jumping-out-of-windows kind of wrong – we could still have faith. The government was behind us.
The Great Recession tested that trust. But however bad it was, and it was bad, I don’t think anyone felt like the government was going to stand by and watch the world burn, as it did in 1929. If anything, people expected the government to do too much, and it did. It bailed out Wall Street bankers to the tune of hundreds of billions, and not even once did it perp-walk any of those Brooks Brothers to jail.
...
But normal people, which is to say, you and me and everyone we know, are at the heart of this unfolding story. It took six or seven decades, give or take, for public trust to recover from the stock market crash of 1929 and the ensuing decade-long Great Depression. And it recovered thanks to efforts made by the government to earn back that trust.
But the government is shredding it now, and I’m not just talking about tariffs. Bloomberg reported that Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency has arrived at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The FDIC is the reason why no one under 100 years of age has ever witnessed a bank run. It insures every account under $250,000. If your bank goes under, your money doesn’t go with it.
If DOGE does to the FDIC what it has done to other public agencies, the dreams of maga really will have become a reality. It will have turned the clock back to a time when the government was so feeble that by 1929, it could do little but stand by and watch the world burn.
I don’t remember what Dad did with that safe. He probably still has it. And knowing his inborn distrust of banks and that class of men who make money with other people’s money, it’s probably full of cash.
I never once in my adult life thought about following his example.
But lately, I have.

I have to say I LOVE viewing health insurance and the cost of healthcare as a ‘tax’ regardless of its private or public, it really puts it into perspective. Definitely am going use that myself when talking about this.
We have to pay for it regardless, better to have a system where you pay less overall and helps people who don’t have the resources to pay for it still can get help from it. A system where people aren’t being bankrupted for things that are already tragedies.
Thanks!
I really think this has to be how we look at it, especially when comparing wealth and taxes between different groups.
And with that in mind, I want to also point to what I would consider common "life taxes".
These are fees one needs to pay to live a bare minimum healthy life.
What do you have to pay for the simplest possible housing to keep you off the street that you could legally live in? (In other words, not a slum that should legally be condemned.)
What is the cost of the cheapest foods you could eat for a year to not starve or develop vitamin deficiencies?
What is the price of water or garbage disposal or electricity?
What is the price of medical care you may need?
These are bare minimum costs you have for survival. These things aren't about thriving. They aren't about being happy. Just being alive and relatively physically healthy.
But if you're working (which you will likely need to be to pay for the previously-mentioned life taxes), you likely have others you need to consider like transportation or a phone.
We can consider these employment taxes. These are costs incurred by being employed. Although the specific costs can vary wildly based on where you work and what you do.
Once you start thinking of these bare minimum fees someone needs to pay just to live and then be employed so you can pay for living as taxes that you are paying to corporations, you can start seeing how unequal conditions really are.
If you are poor, you won't be taxed as much by the government, but a majority of your income is going to be going towards your life taxes and your employment taxes. You won't have much else to spend which means that a lot of hopes of starting your own business or investing your money just isn't feasible.
As you start to climb the ladder, things can get complicated. Your wages increase, but then there's going to be a point where you lose access to programs that previously supported you. Affordable housing programs, Medicaid, food stamps... And you may find yourself having to pay more taxes to the government now.
So, did you really even get ahead?
It's often said that you need to spend money to make money. But the game seems to be rigged so that people at the bottom can't afford to have any money left over to invest in improvement.
Especially considering that a lot of ways to get better pay end up incurring more employment taxes. Those being through college or trade schools.

Tonight is definitely one of those nights I wish I had enough income on Fansly to drop to part time work elsewhere 🫠 I have 14 assignments and an exam due by Monday and honestly I am struggling 😅
I average about 35-40 hours a week of time invested in college work
I have a 40 hour a week full time job
And I invest around 10-15 hours a week lately on my content between posting, interacting, building drafts, editing, etc.
I still have to make time for cleaning, errands, family, other life needs. I'm high-key drowning for the sake of a better future but ooooh boy is the grind insane and I don't have the savings to take off more than like 2 months from my job, but I don't have that kind of vacation time and I need the insurance 😭
Why are liveable wages and realistic work week hours so insane to achieve in my country????

Possible trigger warning for mentions of death!
So in 2016, my aunt passed away of cancer. She had 2 kids who, at the time, were 14 and 12. My aunt ended up leaving a solid chunk of life insurance and every month from the time she passed away, until they turned 18, the children were given checks. Well the youngest just turned 18 in July and is starting college. She just found out that her sperm donor wasted all the money and she has nothing. He is telling people he "invested it" and the business went under a few years ago and he lost it all. (that doesn't explain the missing checks though). Yet somehow, he was able to build a new home, buy an RV, and a truck, and take weekly camping trips plus monthly plane trips to Vegas with his new (unemployed) wife. Well he made a long rambling post on Facebook about how proud of his "little girl" he is cause she was just dropped off for college, and he is sad he isn't with her. (he is on one of his many Vegas trips with his wife instead of being with his daughter while she moves on to campus). I called him out. I shared the post demanding where her, and her older brothers money went, since she had to take out nearly 40k worth of loans for 1 year old college. Apparently none of his family knew about this and he's calling me every name under the sun because I handled a private issue with him publicly. Hell, even my family said I should have kept it private. Should I have?
What are these acronyms?

Community College came and collected my youth
How many years did I spend there? Too many
Investment at first it seemed
Lend my body to a minimum wage paying job
Did what I was expected to do after high school?
I'd like to say it was a learning experience, and that I'm grateful for the time spent there, and that I'd happily do it again, but I wouldn't, I won't
Stories and sentences seem to be in my immediate future, give it a couple of months. Unsurprisingly, I did not expect this
Hand has a mind of its own and works independent of my will
Don't do much, but read and write, and even that I can't claim to do well
Reanimated with each reread
End my lines on a cliffhanger
A doctor a day promises to keep the insanity away
My medication ran out and my health insurance was cancelled
So, how can anyone, honestly, expect me to get well?

Let’s Talk Money Magic
Money bowls. Green candles. Magical Cashbooks. These things all work but how effective are they really in the brand scheme of things?
Let me let you in on a little secret. They aren’t that effective. Well, they are, but they aren’t, and I’ll tell you why. Have you ever done a spell or a manifestation for money, but your car may have broken down, and your insurance gave you a large sum of money to fix it? You still have your money, but at what cost? Or perhaps you came into a large sum of inheritance out of nowhere due to a family member passing. This is more of an extreme example, of course.
This all ties into mundane and magical. If you don’t have a mundane path for that financial sorcery to fall upon, how else are the spirits/universe going to give you what you desire? They are going to find a way, just might not be in the way you want.
At the end of the day we live in a capitalist society, everyone is one paycheck away from becoming homeless these days. In order for financial magic to work we need multiple lines of income. Either that be a job, investments, a business, etc. That’s just the reality of things. You may receive that occasional sum of money from the government for an unclaimed amount but how often does that actually happen? The answer is not often.
Money and Mindset
I’m order for us to become successful with money we need to change our mindset about money. A lot of us have trauma stemming from generations having to due with finances. Some might call these energetic blockages that stop us from reaching our full potential. Which in a way that is true. It stops us from deciding and reaching our goals.
Through changing our relationship with money and our mindset. We start to notice a shift in our life. Maybe we find our passion that leads us to what we want to do as a career that’s more prosperous. Maybe we go into a business and we have great sales. We look into proper investing techniques and make a big decision and it happens to pay off.
Look at your ancestors relationship with money, your parents, and yourself. This is where you need to dig deep and look at it. Once you change your relationship with money, it flourishes in other aspects of your life. Healing that wound with finances is what’s really going to help you.
Being abundant is not about getting a check here and there. It's about enchanting your life.
Money Magic and Disabilities
In a world where we need to constantly learn, adapt and change we need to look at ways for us to make money in order for us to be financially abundant. However we run into situations like being disabled and not being able to work a career, relying on the government. Not everyone will be so lucky to even be able perform successful constant money workings.
Pushing this financial magic can be harmful, especially to those who are disabled and can’t work. So what can we do in the meantime? Here is my post on what we CAN do in the meantime.
For those who are able-bodied, the reality is that in this day and age, you will have to monetize your craft and seek higher education if you are to be financially abundant. Here is a link to a post on different avenues to do just that to build upon skills.
Also, bad grades? No problem. Check out your local community colleges; they sometimes offer free course upgrades.
The Mundane Before Magic
The spirits cannot grant you wealth without a direct avenue for it to deliver itself.
For example, you want a job but are not searching for one. If we look at probability here, there is a very low chance you'll be getting that job without actively looking. Magic can only give you so much before you have to start putting work into it.
Now, if we consider you wanting to get a raise at your job, you've put in the mundane work, lined up all of your avenues, and finally done the magical to set it all up. Your chances of getting that raise are much higher.
Now, the more avenues of income you have, a business, a job and investments, AND you did prosperity workings on top of that. That's where you'll get the real results. However, let's be honest, who has the time for all of that? It is true, though, that the more avenues of income you have, the easier time prosperity magic will come to you.
How to use Money Magic
Now let’s go into how to really work with financial magic. I talked a bit about this in this post.
Prosperity altars are so important, in my opinion, if you want to start building wealth in a magical sense. What not a better way to build wealth than by working with the spirit of money itself?
Here are some basic item suggestions to get started. You're going to want to keep within the gold and green colour scheme, which symbolise wealth and prosperity.
Altar cloth
Corresponding prosperity crystals
Corresponding herbs
Money tree
Prosperity incense
Candles
Coins
A money bowl, Jupiter cashbox, manifestation mirror box, etc
(Realistic) Petitions
Alcohol offerings (Rum or Whiskey)
Want to change your mindset when it comes to money?
In Jason Miller's Book Financial Sorcery, a ritual called Moving Your Setpoint helps you transform your past mindsets into your desired mindset. I have not personally tried this ritual, but I've heard success from those who have.
Alternatively, you could try a dedication/values ritual where you dedicate yourself to the best version of yourself or even a phoenix ritual of transformation.
Blessings

No one asked, but I wanted to share why fanfic posts might take a little bit, and why asks in regards to polycule content, dreamscape short series, or Johnny x manager fic are greatly appreciated as a distraction.
TW for abuse, depression, weight, ed, self harm, suicidal thoughts
Honestly, I hate making posts like these because I think most people either don’t read them or roll their eyes at them because they think it’s a desperate attempt for attention. And I guess that’s not wrong. But the truth is I’m short of irl friends lately, my best friend being the only person ik irl that I still talk to and he’s rarely available because of his work schedule and the fact that I think he’s tired of me………. Which I don’t blame him for. I don’t have money for therapy, my insurance doesn’t cover it. I don’t want to invest in a private diary when my storyteller heart wants people to read my story instead. So here we are. My call for attention/cry for help.
Tbh, I’ve always been the weird girl everywhere I go, and it’s something I’ve struggled heavily with, prior to and after being diagnosed with autism and depression. Growing up, I had no friends. I went to a K-12 school with the same people who thought I was too weird to interact with, so I was never invited over for playdates, parties, sleepovers, etc…. In college, I was still the weird girl, but people didn’t seem to mind, or so I thought, until I started going through friends faster than I could make new ones, and I really never had anyone to blame but myself, because if everyone wants to leave me, then there’s only one common denominator…….. Me. I knew I was the problem— I know I’m the problem. And I always try to fix myself, but I never seem to do anything right. So I just leave. I graduated college, and I’ve got my internet friends who I keep at arm’s length out of fear of being hurt again, or unwittingly hurting them, and I have my 1-2 irls whom I still talk to. That’s it. My life’s been very lonely… Which is why I’ve always written fanfiction.
As a kid, I started writing 1 Direction fanfics, dreaming of Louis and Zayn saving me from the kids who were bullying me lol. In middle school I started writing fanfics for every piece of media I consumed, which is why I started consuming so much TV that I fell behind in school because I cared more about watching the new episode of Teen Wolf than doing my math homework. And I wondered by people thought I was weird. Throughout the years, my hyperfixations have come and gone- Harry Potter and Star Wars seem to resurface the most, and I got semi-famous in a different fandom before I had to leave due to bullying/doxxing. Now my escape is NCT. I find comfort in fandoms— In stories— because I long for a found family trope in my life, or a love so strong that I’m swept off my feet because I’ve never had friends that stick around or a partner before.
So what’s this all gotta do with why I can’t post? Well. Since graduating college, I’ve been living at home with my parents who have always been emotionally and semi-physically abusive— And it’s really not something I like to talk about or complain about because I recognize that in comparison to many other people out there who experience abuse, I’m really not even a victim, so my story shouldn’t take up the space that’s reserved for people who need genuine help. Also because I am privileged with many other things in my life, such as my family’s socioeconomic status and my own savings and income, and my ability to escape my family my traveling as much as I do. So it’s really just. Not fair for me to complain that much. But I still want to explain why this toll is weighing so heavily on me that I can’t write…. My parents got back from a two week trip visiting my brother in college- And to anyone who knows my family, they all know my brother is the favorite, there’s no secret there, it’s just the Jewish way to prefer the son over the daughter, especially when he’s into science and I went into entertainment. During their trip, I fell into a deep depression because I have no friends to hang out with irl, hardly anyone to talk to otherwise, my parents and brother wouldn’t talk to me because they were busy with each other, I realized none of my friends still technically in my circle hadn’t reached out in a long time despite my pleas for help on Discord and Instagram, and I was struggling with my weight again. I didn’t leave my house more than 4 times in those 2 weeks. I woke up, weighed myself, would curse at myself and hit my head on the wall or slap a hairband against my wrist because I was disappointed in not losing weight, skip meals throughout the day, sleep/lay down most of the day, and cry until I would fall asleep. I was so inactive and in so much pain that every time I stood, my head would spin and my eyesight would go dark. When laying down, my legs would go numb because I wasn’t standing enough for the blood flow to work. I was so so so depressed and no one that I reached out to would help. Not even my parents or brother. I actually looked forward to my parents coming home— Which is a shocker considering I usually dread them coming home because of the emotional abuse, but I needed someone around to keep me semi-sane……… Problem was, I forgot to do one chore. My parents leave me to house sit enough for them that I just know what to do now, so they don’t need to leave a list like they did when I was a kid. Clean the floors before the Roombas run on Mondays and Thursdays, take out the trash and recycle on Wednesday nights and bring the bins back in on Thursday afternoons, water my mom’s plants on Mondays, do the dishes, clean the fridge out because there were lots of moldy foods that needed to go, raise and lower the blinds every day, do the laundry- My mom needed me to switch around loads she started before she left and wanted me to make their bed for them, so I did- do the dishes, make fresh iced tea before they get home, etc etc etc. I did all of that. I was so good. Except. My mom had asked me to drop off a box at the post office, and I’d “forgotten”. I’d put it in the car with the intention of taking it, but as my depression got worse, I kept making excuses to not go to the post office, and one day I even drove there but couldn’t convince myself to get out of the car and go inside to stand in line around other people and talk to other people because I knew they would take one look at me and think I’m weird and fat and would judge me for it. It’s so stupid. I know. I should’ve just taken the damn box in. I know. But…. I just fucking didn’t.
So when my parents got home the other night, my mom said they’d spilled hand sanitizer in a bag of food they’d brought home- Thankfully the food was wrapped, but the liquid was everywhereeeeee, so I offered to clean it and help them bring their bags in, because my mom is slightly handicapped and my dad is too old to lift the luggage nowadays. I cleaned their mess, brought the luggage in, and offered to help them with anything else but they told me no… So I sat. And my mom went out to the car for something. And she saw the box. And she came back in and started yelling at me for 20 minutes while I kept apologizing over and over again, but she didn’t care. She told me to shut up and threw the box at my head. I tried to diffuse the tension by going up to my room, but my mom spent the whole night stomping around the house, screaming about how stupid and useless I am, telling my dad that I’m the worst and I do nothing for her. “I’m tired of doing everything and getting nothing in return!” were her exact words at one point as I hid under my bed with the door closed and lights off in the hopes they would forget I even existed. The next morning, I was so upset that I didn’t want to talk to my mom. However, she wanted to act like everything was normal— A usual tactic my mom and dad use. When they yell at me like that or try to hit me (like when I tried to kick a Trump supporter out of our house before I threatened to call 911 if my dad hit me) or even go as far as to hit me, they will pretend like nothing happened the next day and make me and/or my brother out as the bad ones when we don’t go along with it. Well, I wasn’t really impressed with my mom’s behavior when she’d come home, and my depression was only getting worse, so I didn’t feel like acting normal, which has seemingly pissed off my mother because for the past 2 days, she and my father have refused to look at me or talk to me.
I ran out of groceries tonight and because of my grad school application interview, I didn’t feel like making dinner, so I planned on going out with my parents……. My mom ignored me as I waited for them to be done with work so we could get dinner before I needed to do my interview. My brother suddenly called, and my parents were thrilled to talk to him for 20 min while I waited patiently, despite running out of time for dinner. When they got off the phone with my brother, they continued their work meeting (in our living room) at 6:30pm……. They spent that “meeting” bragging about how amazing my brother is, how amazing his friends are, how they’re buying all these gifts for my brother and his friends to celebrate their graduation. I don’t say the following to complain about the gifts themselves, I say it to point out the vibe of my family: When I graduated last year, my parents didn’t get anything for my friends, and they couldn’t even remember any of my friends’ names………. And again, I don’t say this to complain “omg I didn’t get a gift!” like I’m Violet from Willy Wonka, but I didn’t get a gift for graduation. Technically it was my internship in Korea, but they only paid for the flight— WHICH IM FINE WITH!!! I told them I didn’t want anything more!!! It’s just…… They brag so much about my brother and they know so much about his friends and they care so much about his life to buy all these gifts for them… They didnt show that care or interest in my life. Ever. So I got upset, and instead of waiting any longer, I resigned to making a cheese quesadilla for dinner and going to my room to prep for my interview- Which I’m not complaining about the food necessarily, I’m grateful to have food, it’s just that my parents were rude when I told them I was waiting for them and they knew I didn’t have much time. And the cherry on top is that my interview went really really well……… They haven’t asked about it. I came down and sat with them in the living room for a few minutes but then my mom got upset and stomped to her bedroom, slamming the door; and my dad rolled his eyes at me before going to join her.
All of this is small. Likely inconsequential. And I’m just some privileged brat whining on the internet…. and idk how many of you are even reading this far. Most people prob didn’t even open the “read more” part.
But all of this is to say that my underlying depression has gotten progressively worse the past month, hindering my ability to write properly, negatively impacting my ability to escape into my happy place that is NCT. Because of outward factors like my lack of human interaction, lack of friends, and my poor treatment from my family (which really goes much deeper than I expressed in this post lol cuz we didn’t even talk about my sister I went no-contact with lmao) has all made my mental health far worse. Most days I don’t eat or get out of bed. I think about ending my life a fair amount, I’m just too much of a pussy to do it because I don’t want it to be painful… But I’d prob do it and make everyone happy without the weird, useless girl around once I figure out a good way to do it.
I am writing my Johnny book, but not a lot and not to the high quality I expect of myself for posting. I can’t be bothered with smut right now. I don’t have energy for writing anything else. So until I feel better. Or until you see a goodbye message, posting is going to be a little less common……… But my escape these days are your guys’ asks. Whenever I see one come through, I get up to go to my PC or laptop to reply to you guys because it gets my brain thinking and it’s not a long term commitment like a full length fanfic. So please. Don’t be scared off while I take a break from writing for a bit. Please feel free to still send asks because they’re never, ever bothersome to me— They’re incredibly welcomed.
I wish you all the best. Much love. Please take care of yourselves. This isn’t a goodbye or anything like that, so let’s not treat it like one 💚
#not proof read at all so I prob missed stuff or fucked up idk#op#important#Aurora rants#delete later

August has always had a chip on his shoulder when it came to his father. He felt like there was no reason that his father up and left him and his mother to fend for themselves so that he could pursue politics.
When August was nine years old, his mother fell ill and he dropped out of school to take care of her and work. He would do odd jobs around town to help pay the bills. He didn't let anyone in on this because he was afraid of what social services may do if they found out.
At the age of 13, his mother passed away from her illness and now there was nothing he could do to hide it. He didn't even have the money to have her buried. Luckily someone paid for her to be cremated and he was able to keep her ashes with him, but he was shipped off to Clearwater to live with his father and his new family. Even though his father tried to explain multiple times why August didn't know he was reaching out, August wouldn't allow himself to believe that his mother would do something like that so he has always blamed his father.
When August was old enough, he went off to college and got a business degree so that he could get out of the home he was forced to live in. At that age he also received the life insurance payment from his mom and now he had all this money in the world and he didn't know what to do with it. After college, he got himself into a small apartment and saved the money until he found something that he really loved. He was the manager at a few different types of business. He finally decided to change his last name from his father's to his mothers because that's who raised him.
August tries not to take his anger out on his half siblings, but with how into politics their father is he can't help but to hold a grudge as he is jealous that he decided to spend all of his time with them and not even acknowledge August.
August also spent a lot of money investing in stocks and tried to be the best business man that he could be. He decided that he was going to finally treat himself when he hit big on one of the stocks and he hit the lottery. He decided to open up Pandora's shop and find himself a nice house up in Avonlea Gardens with a pool, outdoor patio, and hot tub. He has had a few partners here and there, but nothing that has stuck as he has always been afraid of opening himself up completely.

College is free now when I went to college I had to pay for it and still got some student loans and debts I gotta pay for now but yeah College it is free now you don't have to pay to go to college and it is free now permanently and that is huge I like that I wanted to announce that for the city of Pittsfield Massachusetts .
I found the cure for HIV / Aids the drug Cabenuva and Demivato and many more other drugs you have to take the medication as it is prescribed to go undetected for HIV / Aids the acquired immune deficiency syndrome the drug along with better self care like your diet and exercise doing that you will restore yourself back to fully functioning health remember take your medication as it is prescribed and the cure happens one day at a time . I'm also currently working on providing free cancer screening for people on Medicare / Medicaid and even for people without any medical insurance and the cure for all cancers and the treatment and cure for all stages of cancer for people on Medicare / Medicaid and even for people without any medical insurance and hospitals to work with a person's medical insurance company on affordable co- pay for all levels of insurance coverage making it impossible to turn away any person needing that diagnosis , treatment and cure for all cancers excluding none and for all stages of cancer . I see it all the time a person getting turned away because of their medical coverage or lack of coverage and that is unfair in the medical field the job is to treat all ills and reverse the order bring that person back to full health and I sponsor this for all countries across the globe and all hospitals I authorize it to see it go into plans of all clinics and hospitals now , thank you . My job is to bring back the terminally ill from their death bed with a cure for cancer and with the new assisted treatment from doctors to help patients with the right medical coverage or lack of medical coverage and give them the care they need or the cure they need to reverse that illness and bring them back to full health . What I'm saying to you is that I want to take a person from their death bed all the way back to full recovery from that person with terminal cancer on their death bed and their family considering them gone and they already moved on with their lives and restore that person to full health through the cure for cancers I have some under my name already now thank you so much please keep them coming I will invest in that more cures for cancers any and all cancers now which I'm now sponsoring and the medication already found under my name and watch and administer that to that terminally ill person and bring them back to full health don't pull the plug on them yet I'm here to rescue you from that painful death and prolong your life longer for you and I sponsor them being given full fair treatment with medical coverage or the lack of medical coverage or not even the adequate or right medical coverage I sponsor bringing them back to full health as a hospital owner and incubator and hospital tech buildings owner myself .

Don't forget to read Joyce Meyer Book good health produces a good life
From the 4th key she goes in about exercise
And yes Clapp park if you wanted to know is 3 Laps around the track equals 1 mile you can take that measurement and guesstimate your own park in your home town get your exercise in I usually go for three hour walks at a time when I do get to exercise but you now you get to count your miles now it is 3 laps going around the track makes a mile in Clapp park .
Some common and serious diseases exercise may help you avoid include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer or other conditions affecting the immune system. Let me explain.
Heart Disease
Energy for exercise depends on getting enough oxygen and fuel to your muscles. Both of these things take place through an intricate process in the body and are accomplished through the bloodstream. Blood is your body’s transportation network, and your heart drives it. As your demand for fuel and air increases, your heart pumps faster and faster, speeding the blood along on its important delivery route. The blood vessels that feed your exercising muscles dilate too, so they can carry more blood to the places that need it. Regular exercise as simple as walking a couple of miles most days can cut your risk of heart disease and stroke in half! The best way to prevent these and other forms of cardiovascular disease is steady, moderate exercise, which keeps your blood vessels wide and clear and your heart strong.
Diabetes
The way the body breaks down sugar helps your muscles get the energy they need. Diabetes is a sugar disease caused by high levels of glucose (a type of sugar) in the blood. These high levels are the result of a diet high in fat, sugars, and starches, along with a sedentary lifestyle. You might think a lot of glucose would be a good thing—more energy—but elevated glucose levels over a long time cause lots of problems. To understand this better, let me explain how glucose works in the body with insulin. Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas and it acts like a key to “unlock” muscles so they will receive and absorb glucose. The more glucose people have in their blood, the more insulin they need. Eventually the muscles get stuffed and resist insulin’s “unlocking” function. This is called “insulin resistance,” and it sets in motion a process that ultimately results in diabetes. A steady exercise program reduces your chances of developing diabetes by nearly two-thirds. Combined with a healthy diet low in sugars, starches, and saturated fat, it makes your risk of diabetes negligible. For people who already have diabetes, no amount of exercise will reverse the disease, but it will help control glucose levels and allow these people to take as little insulin as possible.
Cancer and Immune Diseases
The connection between exercise and cancer prevention is not as direct as that between exercise and reduced cardiovascular disease or diabetes. Exercise has little impact on some cancers, yet it reduces the risk of breast cancer by 37% and provides similar protection against prostate and colon cancer. It does this by stimulating your immune system. Your immune defense, centered in the lymphatic system, circulates white blood cells through the body, where they find and eliminate cellular threats such as bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells. Unlike blood, which is pumped through the body by the heart, lymph depends on muscle contractions to squeeze it through the body. Moderate exercise more than doubles the rate at which your lymph circulates. The faster those white blood cells move, the more cancer cells and viruses they can pick off. I hope you have learned in this key how much exercise can do to improve and preserve your health, and I hope you are ready to begin an exercise program you can stick with for years to come.

More people in America have college degrees than people who can read at the level of the standard 7th grader. These people are not blue collar workers, they are administrators. People who are barely literate are overseeing your child's education from elementary to college. They're deciding if your child's behavior deserves expulsion, or recommending your child be put on prescription drugs. They're overseeing your cancer treatment at hospitals. Some are doctors, some are telling doctors what they can and can't prescribe you, some are telling doctors to put people on ventilation when they don't need ventilation. They're denying you medical treatments at health insurance offices. They're denying your claims in other types of insurance offices. They're overseeing your 401k and other retirement plans. They're in police departments deciding what to charge people with, and telling officers to raid the wrong house. They're in Sheriff's offices denying law abiding citizens carry permits. They decide what goes on your legal background check and medical records. They're developing "treatment plans" for people with mental health and addiction problems. They've been in the Navy deciding who needs to be spied on and who to drone strike. They're in judge's chairs deciding who deserves life and who deserves death. They're in real estate investment firms deciding how much your house is worth. They've been in big tech deciding what content should be censored and who to ban. They're in consulting firms telling politicians what is and isn't a good idea. They're denying people housing based on just a Google search of their names. They're in the white house deciding how to interpret the constitution, and how much leeway the wording of the constitution gives them. They're in colleges deciding recruitment quotas. They're voting based on feelings. People who can barely read have been, and still are, running your lives.

Norris Bumstead Herndon (July 15, 1897 - June 7, 1977) was the second president of the Atlanta Life Insurance Company, founded by his father, Alonzo Herndon. Alonzo Herndon took the seven-year-old to the founding meeting of the Niagara Movement, the precursor organization to the NAACP.
He was born in Atlanta. He was the son and only child of millionaire African American businessman Alonzo Franklin Herndon and Adrienne McNeil Herndon (born Elizabeth A. Stephens), a well-known actress and professor of dramatics and elocution at Atlanta University.
He graduated from Atlanta University and Harvard University’s Business School. He was one of the only two African Americans in his graduating class. He joined his father’s firm, first as a cashier, and then eventually as the company’s first VP.
After his father died in 1927, he was elected the second president of Atlanta Life Insurance Company. When he took the helm, company assets totaled just over $1 million, but through decades of cautious management and prudent investments including some significant acquisitions, Atlanta Life’s assets grew to $54 million. At the time of his retirement, Atlanta Life had grown to a company with assets of $84 million.
He gave generously to the UNCF, the local African American YMCA, Atlanta University, Morris Brown College, First Congregational Church, the NUL, the NAACP, as well as many other organizations. He donated the land on which Atlanta University’s Herndon Stadium sits, and the money to build the structure. He was a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Grand Order of Odd Fellows and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence #alphaphialpha
