I love this scene because I feel like half of these could be used as some very good reaction gifs.

can please someone help me find a specific episode of murdoch mysteries. I remember Brackenreid living in an apartment for a while after he had a fight with Margaret. He is also visited by another woman. i think she's a recurring character but i cant remember her name...

Thomas Craig and Sarah Strange in Murdoch Mysteries (2008) Mild Mild West
S2E1
While attending Buffalo Bill Cody's Western Extravaganza, Det. Murdoch, Insp. Brackenreid, Constable Crabtree and Dr. Ogden witness a killing when a stunt apparently goes bad. The stunt involved one legendary wild west gunman shooting the other who catches the bullet in his teeth. It's all trickery of course and he's not supposed to be shot for real. Murdoch determines that the man was actually shot by someone with a rifle. When the second member of the stunt team is also killed, Murdoch starts looking into their past to find a solution to the crime. A horse hair provides the vital clue. Insp. Brackenreid's wife has joined the temperance league and he has promised to give up drink. An encounter with the flirtatious Annie Oakley puts an end to that.
*McRawlins is said to make "only $40 a week" - more than five times what Murdoch is said to make in the third episode.

Inspector Brackenreid’s inconsistent homophobia confuses the shit out of me. But whatever! on to season 14.

The way Murdoch sounded so surprised when Choi asked about the science behind his UV light… 😭 an inspector who actually cares about the science behind his inventions and actively wants to know more?? He deserves this so muchhhh

The way Inspector Brackenreid protects his men is just insane, like I respect him so much for that

so every season or so, brackenreid vacates his role as inspector leaving some poor hopeful at station house 4 to take over. but no worries! you can count on him to make a comeback within a couple episodes next season- ready to swoop in and reclaim the title. the ultimate tease.

Season 18 episode 4, watched!
Again, not a lot to say about it. I love the little gag going on with inspector choi trying to acquire one of watts' plants. It was cute. The murdoch, watts, choi trio already feels so natural. The actors work great together.
It was interesting to watch choi's interrogation room dynamic some more and the contrast with Brackenreid's more physical threat.
And finally, not surprised that for all his growth, thomas brackenreid is a nimby, and always delighted to see Margaret remain a reasonable, open-minded person despite her original apprehensions. I love her.
I think the murdoch mysteries folks are doing a great job in keeping the show fresh when I (and I think a few people) worried that it was going to run out of steam.

Watts talking to Brackenreid about romance problems is actually everything to me, like basically everyone major knows about him, and yet he chooses the Inspector, whom in some ways is perhaps the most uncomfortable with it, and yet of course he's so sweet and gives advice I can't

Brackenreid: I'm at a loss for words! Henry: Despite being ‘at a loss for words’, Inspector Brackenreid yelled at me for the next 45 minutes.

"People kill for all kinds of reasons, Tom. But this, most certainly, is *not* a matter of national security."
Terrence Meyers, that is, Lyle Henderson (Peter Keleghan) as he’s known in his civilian life, uttering words Brackenreid (Thomas Craig) and Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) most certainly, never, in a million years, expected to hear him say, on Murdoch Knows Best [S15E08]!!

I love playing "guess the year" with Murdoch Mysteries! This episode (17x03. I'm catching up, slowly, but surely), we get some choice clues that make it a bit easier, but still fun!
Murdoch and Julia are talking about the theft of the Mona Lisa (or La Gioconda if, like Inspector Brackenreid, you're cultured 😁), which happened a fortnight before the episode take place. This puts the episode in 1911, so yay for that, but we want to know more. A quick Google search reminds us that it was stolen on 21 August 1911 (I thought it earlier, around Easter), which means that the episode starts at around 4th September 1911!
It hasn't been that easy since the time everyone thought Crabtree was dead and they showed the death certificate!
