Reminder Reflections 193
The best part of being authentic is that there is no image to maintain. You will delight some and disturb others, and none of it will concern the truth of your being.

Why Seek? You Are the Divine You’ve Been Looking For

The Illusion of Seeking
For centuries, seekers have wandered across mountains, scriptures, and meditative depths, searching for the divine like a hidden treasure buried beneath existence. Yet Vasugupta’s Shiva Sutras deliver a cosmic paradox: You are the very divine presence you seek. The mind, conditioned by separation, creates the illusion of distance between ‘you’ and ‘the divine.’ But when this illusion crumbles, realization dawns—Tat Tvam Asi (You are That).
Vasugupta’s philosophy in Kashmiri Shaivism doesn’t demand renunciation or external pilgrimage. Instead, it unveils an inner pilgrimage—one that leads not outward but inward. The Shiva Sutras teach that the moment you shift your perception from ‘becoming’ to ‘being,’ from ‘seeking’ to ‘seeing,’ you dissolve the walls that separate you from your true nature. You are already whole; you just need to remember it.
The Mirror of Awareness
Imagine standing before a mirror covered in dust. You strain to see your reflection, but all you witness is distortion. Similarly, our minds are clouded with conditioning, past experiences, and societal constructs that blur the truth of who we are. Vasugupta’s teachings are not about adding knowledge but about wiping away this dust so that our true self shines forth.
The concept of Pratyabhijna (Recognition) in Kashmiri Shaivism states that liberation isn’t about attaining something new—it’s about recognizing your inherent divinity. The observer and the observed are one. Shiva is not an external deity but the very consciousness witnessing through your eyes at this moment.
The Power of Direct Realization
Religions often emphasize gradual progress—lifetimes of karma, austerities, and devotion. But Vasugupta’s realization is immediate: The divine is not far, but forgotten. The path to self-realization is not a long journey; it is a single shift in perception.
This moment—right now—is divine. The sacred is not reserved for temples and rituals; it breathes through your every experience. When you stop searching for God outside and recognize that the searcher itself is divine, a quiet revolution takes place within.
Practical Toolkit: Living Your Divinity Daily
How can you incorporate Vasugupta’s wisdom into daily life? Here’s a practical approach:
The ‘I Am’ Pause: Several times a day, stop whatever you’re doing and silently affirm: I am already whole. I am the divine experiencing itself. Let this moment sink in.
Mirror Meditation: Look at your reflection, not as a body but as the presence behind your eyes. Ask yourself, Who is looking? Recognize that the observer is beyond the physical form.
The Shiva Gaze: Instead of reacting to situations, practice being the silent observer. Let thoughts, emotions, and events pass like clouds in the sky. Don’t resist; just witness.
Breath of Recognition: With each inhale, mentally affirm I am Shiva. With each exhale, release the illusion of separation. Feel the shift from seeking to being.
Divine Expression: Act as if you are already divine—not in arrogance but in deep responsibility. How would the divine walk, speak, and act? Embody that energy in everyday interactions.
Beyond Seeking: The Ultimate Freedom
Once you recognize that you are what you seek, a tremendous weight lifts. Fear, doubt, and yearning dissolve, replaced by a quiet knowing. You cease to chase enlightenment and instead radiate it effortlessly. The illusion of distance evaporates, and you see clearly: You were never separate from the divine—you only believed you were.
The Shiva Sutras are not just philosophy; they are an invitation to wake up from the dream of seeking and step into the truth of being. So, why seek? You are already home.

🗝️ The Cup: Vessel of Emotions, Intuition, and the Soul's Overflow 🗝️
In tarot, the cup is more than a mere vessel; it represents the heart, intuition, and the profound world of our emotions. The cup carries water – the element of the soul, fluid yet deep, soft yet transformative. When we draw a cup, we're being asked to listen deeply to our inner voice, to connect with the nuances of feeling, and to honour the wisdom that flows within us.
🌊 The Cup in Tarot 🌊
The Suit of Cups reflects our emotional landscape, relationships, dreams, and inner desires. Let’s look at how a few cards bring these energies to life:
Ace of Cups 💧 — The seed of love and intuition. This card brings the first touch of emotional awakening, a gentle invitation to open the heart and let love or inspiration flow in.
Five of Cups 🥀 — Embracing loss, finding new hope. While it’s often seen as a card of grief, it reminds us that healing begins when we acknowledge what has passed and allow space for what can be.
Ten of Cups 🌈 — Harmony, fulfilment, and joy. In this card, we see the soul's dream realized – a true sense of belonging, emotional wholeness, and connection.
🔍 Reflections for Your Path
Where in your life are you being called to open to deeper emotional truth? Are there feelings you’ve set aside that need to be embraced and honoured? Cups remind us that while emotions may be powerful, they’re also sacred and lead us closer to our authentic selves.

How Do Other People Reflect Your Inner World?
I ran this morning, prepping for my half marathon in four weeks. I use my phone to track my miles, laps, etc. I planned to do twelve miles today but set my target to ten miles on the phone. I wanted to protect myself from disappointment in case I could not make the twelve miles. (I did run 12.39 miles finally—I cannot resist stating that here.) If we’re emotionally triggered by someone’s…

"Above all, don't lie to yourself."

Fyodor Dostoevsky was the most popular and influential novelist of 19th century Russian literature.
Born: Moscow - 11 November 1821 Died: Died: St. Petersburg - 9 February 1881
Siberian Exile: Dostoevsky experienced significant hardship early in life. In 1849, he was arrested and sentenced to death by firing squad for his involvement with the Petrashevsky Circle, a group of intellectuals critical of the tsarist regime. However, at the last moment, his sentence was commuted to four years of hard labor followed by exile in Siberia. This traumatic experience deeply influenced his later works.
Near-Death Experience: In 1849, while in prison awaiting his execution, Dostoevsky and several other prisoners were taken out to be shot. They underwent a mock execution, a psychological ordeal where they were lined up before a firing squad and had their sentences read aloud. The experience had a profound impact on Dostoevsky's outlook on life and death.
Gambling Addiction: Dostoevsky struggled with a serious gambling addiction throughout his life. His gambling habit led him to financial ruin, and he often found himself in dire straits. The theme of gambling and its destructive consequences is explored in his novella "The Gambler."
Marriage and Personal Life: Dostoevsky's first wife, Maria Dmitrievna Isaeva, died of tuberculosis just three months after their marriage in 1857. He remarried Anna Grigoryevna Snitkina, who played a crucial role in managing his finances and supporting his writing. Their marriage was a source of stability in Dostoevsky's tumultuous life.
Writing Under a Deadline: Dostoevsky faced financial troubles throughout his career and often wrote under tight deadlines. His most famous work, "Crime and Punishment," was serialized in a magazine. To meet the deadlines, he had to write quickly, which is a remarkable feat given the novel's complexity and depth.

Unveiling the Essence: What is the Meaning of Life?
Introduction:
The age-old question of the meaning of life has intrigued philosophers, sages, and seekers for centuries. It is a query that transcends cultures, religions, and belief systems, touching the very core of our existence. In this exploration, we embark on a journey to unravel the profound essence of this timeless question.

The Quest for Purpose:
From the moment we become aware of our existence, we seek purpose. It is a fundamental human longing to understand why we are here and what significance our lives hold in the grand tapestry of existence. This quest for purpose is deeply ingrained in our spiritual DNA, urging us to look beyond the surface of daily routines and dive into the depths of our being.
Diverse Perspectives, Universal Themes:
Throughout history, diverse cultures and belief systems have offered their unique perspectives on the meaning of life. From the concept of Dharma in Hinduism to the pursuit of Nirvana in Buddhism, and the call to fulfill one's mission in Existentialist philosophy, common threads emerge. These threads, woven into the fabric of our shared humanity, speak to a deeper truth that transcends the boundaries of time and space.
Beyond the Material Realm:
In a world often fixated on material pursuits, it is easy to lose sight of the spiritual dimension of our existence. The meaning of life extends beyond the accumulation of wealth, status, or possessions. It beckons us to explore the realms of consciousness, compassion, and interconnectedness with all living beings.
A Symphony of Connection:
Consider, for a moment, the intricate symphony of existence. The harmonious dance of planets, the delicate balance of ecosystems, and the intricate web of human relationships all point to a profound interconnection. Could it be that the meaning of life lies in recognizing and honoring this inherent oneness?
Awakening to Conscious Evolution:
As conscious beings, we possess the remarkable capacity to reflect, grow, and evolve. It is through this conscious evolution that we unearth deeper layers of meaning. It calls for self-awareness, introspection, and a willingness to transcend the limitations of ego-driven desires.
Living with Intention:
To embark on a meaningful journey, one must embrace intentionality. Living with purpose means aligning our actions, thoughts, and choices with our inner truth. It is about nurturing virtues such as love, compassion, gratitude, and empathy, which serve as guiding stars on our path.
Conclusion: Embracing the Journey:
The meaning of life is not a fixed destination, but a dynamic and ever-unfolding journey. It invites us to embrace the fullness of our existence, to seek deeper understanding, and to live with authenticity and intention. In this pursuit, we find that the meaning of life is not a singular answer, but a mosaic of experiences, connections, and moments of transcendence.
As we navigate this labyrinth of existence, let us remember that the very act of questioning, seeking, and reflecting is a testament to the richness and depth of our human experience. May we walk this path with open hearts and minds, ever eager to uncover the profound truths that await us.

The Things We Leave Unsaid
The things we leave unsaid, isn't that normally what happens? As we go about our daily lives we often leave things unsaid; the things that if said, can bring us more peace. The things we leave unsaid that we wish had been said.
Talking things out around illness
Also, there are things we want to say, but the opportunity isn't there and if it is, we dare not say for fear of offending. Even if it's not something that offends, we're not sure whether the other person will be ready to hear what we want to say. Around illness that becomes even more difficult.
Being able to say how you feel is important Words shouldn't be intimidating, they should always be caring, compassionate and empathetic. Self-expression is important, particularly when circumstances change and time is not on your side, particularly around a loved ones terminal illness.
Sometimes it's not down to us, or our fault. When it comes to a terminal illness, not everyone with the illness, is ready to talk about the things that may affect us after their passing and that's not on us.

It is fascinating how we measure distance, isn't it? Not the physical kind that stretches between points on a map, but the kind that exists between who we are and who others believe us to be. It's fascinating how this gap can be vast even when standing face to face with someone, or surprisingly small across continents with a stranger who truly sees you.

𝗟𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗲
𝗟𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗲
STOP expecting loyalty from those who betray their own. START embodying the loyalty that stands the test of time.
History proves it: Humans have mastered deception. Dogs have mastered devotion.
I've witnessed it firsthand.
Here’s what separates the loyal from the lost (swipe for the truth 👉):
1️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲: → Power tests integrity → Loyalty without values is slavery → Betrayal starts with self-deception → Trust is built, never owed
2️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁: → Do you honor your word? → Do you stand by those who stood by you? → Do you protect what sustains you? → Do you value relationships over transactions?
3️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺: → Bhairava’s dog followed Dharma to the gates of liberation → Loyalty is not blind—it is wise → True devotion outlives even death → Those who forget loyalty, lose themselves
4️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵: → A man turns on his own, but a dog stays till the end → Nature gives life, yet man destroys it → Love asks for loyalty, power demands submission → The loyal are rare, the betrayers are many
𝗦𝗼, 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲—𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴?

Message for 11th October ~*Eternal Star*~
✨
Feel the star that you hold in your heart and follow your own inner guidance no matter what others say. What feels right in your heart is the truth so let your heart be your guide. Do not agree to something that doesn't feel right. Others believe that they know what is best for you. Remember you can always choose to disagree. You will still be loved no matter what you do.
✨
"I am guided by life, I am guided by this breath, I am guided by the light that shines inside me. I am guided by all that I Am."
