💖TRUSTING YOUR INNER VOICE - 3 MONTHS UNTIL 2025 - GLOW UP SERIES [WEEK 12] - 💖
Your life can drastically change in three months, and this is coming from someone who started last October unexpectedly in hospital everyday for three weeks, to then leave London and move back home and share a ROOM with my mom due to space issues and by the end of the whirlwind I finally got to move into my dream ocean view apartment in Europe. ALL WITHIN 3 MONTHS. How did I transform my life? What remained consistent was my inner voice, leading me towards faith and not fear. Being able to hear God’s direction and having the courage to take a leap into the unknown at each twist and turn. So no matter where you start this October, trust and know that miracles are possible, and if you stay true to where you are being guided you will end up exactly where you need to be.
UNDERSTANDING WHAT VOICE IS GUIDING YOU…
Are you leaning into fear or into faith? Each day, are you sticking to what you know or are you taking risks? Are you using your voice to speak up when you’re usually quiet? Are you still remaining true to your vision despite not seeing the results in the 3D? Are you trying to control situations feeling anxious and stuck, or are you remaining trusting and faithful to the visions God has placed in your heart? If you find fear is guiding your life, your TRANSFORMATION is going to a struggle, there is going to be friction, and this is where you need to get out of your own way. God wants to move you somewhere you’ve never been, you’ve been doing your vision boards, affirmations, praying, reading, trying your very best to LEVEL-TF-UP, and STILL feeling stuck…and this is because your inner voice is holding you hostage to what you’ve known, to the old version of you, the expired version. These next 12 weeks are for tuning into a different frequency, to locking into God’s direction and here are the steps…
1] You need to meditate to create space in your mind to hear the voice that wants to lead you to your highest potential. It’s always there waiting for you to listen, in order to HEAR you need SPACE.. and to get space you need to meditate. The aim is 20 mins per day, if you’re already comfortable with this aim for 1 hour. I know this might sound like a scary amount of time to sit in silence but think how easily you can spend 20 mins on social media doom scrolling…Do you want to GLOW-UP or do you want to stay stuck? This is what you need to ask yourself daily…But please walk before you run, here is 10 mins meditation that is simple and transformative and will 100% allow you mental space so you can slowly throughout the day start to hear your inner voice - God speaking to you.
2] Tune out of negativity (the news, low vibration music, gossip, scrolling through peoples highlight reel) and tune into high vibes… Listening to high vibes is going to move you energetically into a new space. There will be more peace and positivity. The high vibes include, morning motivation on YouTube find one that empowers you, cleansing your social media accounts of anything negative or deleting it full stop while you’re on your glow up journey. Listening to binaural beats, gospel, or anything that has empowering lyrics that lift you up.
3] Once you have removed the low vibes you also want SILENT vibes, this means going for a walk without your phone. Waking up and not checking your phone for 1 hour, having as many moments of silence as possible, and this is when you will start to hear. You might hear negativity in your mind at first, it might be overbearing, the voice might be telling you how stupid you are, how pathetic you are, but PERSEVERE. Get curious on why you have this negativity in your mind, journal on what was coming up for you, you want to clear out the negativity so you can hear the inner wisdom that is waiting to flow in.
4] PRAY FOR GUIDANCE. If you don’t have the direction, you are wanting to transform your life and don’t know what the next steps are, I promise you the moment you start praying and asking is the moment you receive the answers. It will come in the form of conversations, YouTube content creators will appear in your feed, you will have thoughts, dreams, a book will fall of a shelf, there will be direction from above. God wants to help you, you just have to ask and listen clearly for the answers. They will appear.
A little story time of my 3 month transformation from last October - December and how I completely transformed my life in that time…
Until next week, stay in your faith, your journal and remain hopeful that this time things are going to be different. Your transformation is in progress.

Coming Back to My Passion: The Pull of Music When Everything Else Says "No"
Tumblr media
For years, I’ve tried to convince myself that I wanted something different. Something serious, something more aligned with what I thought was expected of me. At one point, I even set my sights on international law. It felt like the right thing to do, the responsible thing to do. But every time I thought I had found my path, something would pull me back. And that something was always music.
The funny thing is, I’ve tried different directions—enrolled in culinary school twice (the first time stepping away because of health issues), completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training, and even became a certified English as a Second Language teacher. All worthy pursuits. But no matter how far I wandered, I always found myself back in music’s orbit.
Each time I got involved in music and things started to pick up, I’d feel alive. There’s something about performing—whether it’s at Folkarama, an open mic, or any small gig—that makes me feel seen. It feels like home. But here’s the twist: every time I leaned into my musical passions, I felt guilty. Ashamed even.
Why? Because it didn’t feel "serious" enough. It wasn’t academically prestigious, and because I came from a family of immigrants that weighed heavily on me. I’m the youngest of three, and I could never seem to figure out what I wanted to do academically. On top of that, I struggled with maintaining good grades—something I later found out in my 30s was due to ADHD. By the time I was in eighth grade, my confidence in my intellect had crumbled. I carried that insecurity with me for years.
I kept telling myself that music wasn’t a “real” option. That I should be doing something more "respectable" in the eyes of society and my family. And so, I wavered. Even when I had momentum with my music, I'd let insecurities creep in—the fear that I wasn’t a strong enough vocalist, or that I didn’t sound like other female artists. I'd let the weight of my family's opinions and my own self-doubt pull me away from something I loved.
I always had one foot in and one foot out. Never fully committing, never fully allowing myself to embrace music as more than just a hobby.
But something shifted this year. Something snapped in me, like a quiet but powerful voice saying, "Enough." I realized I’ve spent too long letting other people’s expectations and my own insecurities dictate my choices.
And that voice? It was telling me to give myself a real shot—to embrace abundance in all areas of my life, including the one place I’ve always felt most alive: music.
I may not be able to control everything, but I can control the actions I take. I can decide to honor my passions and let them guide me instead of letting fear or doubt steer the ship.
Now, the real question is: What are my end goals? I’ve spent so long trying to fit into other people’s expectations that I forgot to figure out what I want. And that’s what I’m focusing on now—defining success on my own terms.
Here’s what I know for sure: People will always have ideas about what’s best for you. But at the end of the day, you’re the one who has to live with the decisions you make. So why not make decisions that honor your heart? You can’t always control whether people believe in you, but you can choose to believe in yourself.
And that’s where I am now—letting go of guilt and stepping fully into what makes me feel alive.

When I say that I listen music all the time, I mean it. Even when I’m not listening to music, I’m still listening to it. My brain is just a non-stop radio.
And it’s not just remembering the lyrics, I legit hear the song in my mind. Extremely weird to explain.

What is that little voice in your head telling you on a day to day? Is it kind, sweet and supportive? Is it judgemental as hell, pushing you like a strict mother, making you feel as though nothing you do is ever good enough? Does it whisper how beautiful you are in the mirror as you wash your hands or point out the acne you're desperately trying to get rid of? Your inner voice is the soundtrack to your daily life and needs to be on your side, like a best friend, not your worst enemy. But how do you shift your inner voice from cruel to kind? I actually had to do this last week. I felt like nothing I was doing was good enough, especially as I'm in a chapter of self-growth. It was exhausting me. Thoughts like, your clothes are terrible, you desperately need botox, your bank balance is in the gutter, you need to do more, be more, become more...you are not good enough. My inner world was literally dragging me down day in day out. Full to the brim of judgmental thoughts. It was fucking exhausting. So what did I do to shift the gears ? 1] I noticed what was going on - this might happen immediately, but you could also be living with negative inner chatter for months if not years. So if you’re feeling icky and in a low vibe state take some time out to become aware, this means sitting in silence, or a guided meditation to take you out of your head. This little mental break will give your inner critic some rest bite so the real you can see what the hell has been going on.
2] I journaled, I wrote and wrote and wrote. I know journalling is not for everyone, but if you can. Just start asking yourself some questions mine was something like ‘why is nothing I do enough, I am trying my best, I really am, why is nothing I do is ever enough’ after some digging, the answers always reveal themselves.
3] Make a new pact with yourself to be kinder and more loving. I wrote myself a little love letter and decided I will be kinder. I will be more loving, I went deep and used examples of how and this worked like magic. It’s been a week already and my inner voice is more gentle and loving.
Sometimes a little check in with yourself to re-align is all that’s needed.

Intuition is unlike any other feeling. Intuitive perception suddenly arises in the form of a picture, and only then does it mould itself into thoughts; feelings, on the other hand, stem from the activity of generating thoughts, thus arising after them.
Intuition is the inner voice, or the spirit's voice, that never deceives itself. Feelings, in turn, originate solely from the operation of the intellect and often lead human beings down the wrong path. If we pay more attention to intuition, we can differentiate legitimate intuition from ordinary feelings. The Day Without Tomorrow

Unscripted With Payman Lorenzo - Podcaster, Author, Coach, and World Citizen
In this special episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down with the inspiring Payman Lorenzo for an unscripted chat. Payman’s story is one of resilience, passion, and transformation, and it was an honor to hear about his journey from Afghanistan to Vietnam, touching on his experiences across 14 countries and his fluency in six languages. From bestselling author to e-commerce entrepreneur and podcast host, Payman truly embodies what it means to live a dynamic, purpose-driven life.
youtube
Payman’s early years were shaped by his family’s move from Afghanistan to France when he was just four years old. He later moved to Canada at 14, and from there, his love for travel and exploration took off. Currently, he’s based in beautiful Da Nang, Vietnam, where he’s found a sense of peace and focus amid the city’s welcoming atmosphere and natural beauty.
Our conversation delved into the pivotal moments that changed his life, like his decision to leave behind a potential career in law after reading Tim Ferriss’ The 4-Hour Workweek. That book inspired him to carve his own path, much to his family’s initial dismay. He turned away from the traditional route of becoming an international lawyer to explore online business and entrepreneurship, even working in the oil fields of Alberta, Canada, and later as a football coach in China. This shift, though daunting, opened up a world of opportunities and allowed him to embrace a lifestyle of freedom and creativity.
One of the most powerful parts of our discussion was Payman’s emphasis on listening to your inner voice. He spoke passionately about the importance of tuning in to those gut feelings and hunches that often guide us towards our true calling. For him, that meant starting a podcast—a project that not only helped him find his voice but also transformed his life in profound ways. Despite being shy and struggling with self-esteem issues in the past, Payman found the courage to share his story and insights with the world. His podcast, Leaders with a Heart, now features over 400 inspiring guests who share their personal journeys and lessons learned.
Payman’s approach to overcoming negativity was also inspiring. He shared how he completely cut out negative influences, including news and social media, to focus on things that uplift and empower him. He emphasized the importance of surrounding yourself with positive people and content that aligns with your goals and values. As he put it, "We are what we consume, not just in food, but in thoughts and energy as well."
One story that stood out was Payman’s encounter with Coach Randy Brown, a former NCAA coach who endured the unimaginable loss of two daughters to the same disease within four years. Despite the heartbreak and a subsequent prison sentence, Randy rebuilt his life and now dedicates himself to helping other men release the emotional baggage they’ve carried for years. Stories like these, Payman explained, are what keep him motivated to continue his work, connecting with people who have faced immense challenges and emerged stronger.
Another memorable guest was Kim Vagner, who, a fter losing both her parents to cancer by the age of 25, took control of her life by transforming her health and career. Her commitment to wellness and personal growth has made her a successful coach and business owner, inspiring others to take charge of their lives.
Payman’s insights into personal and professional growth extend beyond his podcast. He’s also an e-commerce entrepreneur and coach, helping others leverage podcasting and YouTube to build meaningful connections and attract clients, even with a small audience. His philosophy is simple but powerful: business is ultimately about building relationships and trust. Whether it’s selling a product or offering a service, the key is to connect with people on a human level.
For anyone feeling stuck or overwhelmed by negative thoughts, Payman’s advice is clear: eliminate the negativity from your life, whether it’s toxic people, social media, or news. Instead, feed your mind with positive, empowering content and surround yourself with people who inspire you. He believes that by doing so, you can shift your mindset and unlock your potential to create a positive impact in the world.
In addition to his podcast, Payman recently launched an academy to help others find their “zone of genius” and share their stories through podcasting. His approach is focused on clarity and authenticity—guiding people to discover their unique gifts and use them to inspire and uplift others.
Our conversation wrapped up with a discussion about what drives Payman today. His ultimate goal is to create a ripple effect of positive change, one conversation at a time. By inspiring others to pursue their passions and share their stories, he hopes to contribute to a better world, where people are empowered to live authentically and make a difference.
If you’d like to learn more about Payman’s work, you can find his books Leaders with a Heart Volumes 1 and 2 on Amazon, and listen to his podcast for inspiring stories from people around the world. Thank you, Payman, for sharing your incredible journey with me. Your dedication to helping others find their voice and make a positive impact is truly inspiring.
Until next time, keep following your passion and remember to listen to that inner voice—it just might lead you to something extraordinary.
