Here is the tribute event to memorialize her in 2013. It’s been ten years. Time sure flies…

I’m going to let this go, but I will continue to paint my toenails mint every summer in memory of her.

I  know I should have posted this yesterday (the 18th), but I still wanted to make a post yesterday should have been Talia's 18th birthday. Talia I love you so so so much. All the time I wonder what you would have been like today, and what you would have accomplished. What celebrities make up would you be doing? I am so sorry all of that was taken from you!

It’s been 10 years since I saw the Facebook post that brought me to tears.

10 years since this precious child breathed her last.

Let’s end cancer. It’s ended too many young lives.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am. Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time. God speed little one, may you be free from pain and suffering, may your soul feel the light and love that you brought to so many of us on this Earth during the short time you were her with us. We will miss you more than you will ever know baby girl.”

I can’t believe it’s been nine years since Talia took her last breath.

Talia Joy Castellano tried to put a face on childhood cancer and encourage people to focus more research on it.

She loved makeup and fashion.

She was hilarious.

She was only 13. Too young.

The world is darker without her.

Today is world Cancer day, cancer is definitely the most difficult thing I've ever had to deal with and no one should have to go through it. I am still #grateful for the %blessings that have come into my life through my journey with cancer like getting to know my #inspiration @taliajoy18 and having her bless me with the #love and #friendship of her family who are now also inspirations to me @mattia_joyce @momma_joy and @bellamariejoy I will forever be #grateful. #Music is also a huge part of my #healing in the words of #JessieJ music is a #healer and music has gotten me through some of my darkest hours, I feel so lucky to have the memories of meeting @isthatjessiej and @cezdarke who I now consider #friends and I carry in my heart as I listen to Jessie's music along with other artists everyday to get me through. On most days I feel like #fuckcancer although, I am grateful for the person I've become and the blessings that have come along. I will forever support @taliaslegacy and her family in the fight against cancer as well as be part of the #heartbeatfamily supporting a legendary artist for the rest of my life and beyond.
