I guess my fandom red flag/annoyance is that I don't trust when people act like misogyny and homophobia/transphobia are not interconnected in fictional settings. For example, homosexuality is accepted but women are oppressed and vice versa. E.g. In Norse Marvel fic, Sif being accepted without question while Loki is oppressed for his gender identity and/or sexuality (fandom tends to do this). Or if they go off about Sif's struggles becoming a warrior but it was all peachy for Loki in terms of gender identity and sexuality (comics tend to do this). I think those two things should go hand in hand IF YOU PLAN TO INCLUDE EITHER OF THEM in world-building and it is myopic to ignore that.

From experience, the people doing this will either be dismissive of misogyny or dismissive of transphobia/homophobia based in which of this issues are taken seriously. Or at least people too eager to either call women bitches or make weird homophobic/transphobic jokes.

I know people are saying that Earthspark has a immigration theme going on, but I can't really see that. There's many factors to consider that is more than just that.

The Decepticons tried to take over Earth (or destroy it, because Shockwave seem to have flip on it).

The Cybertronians bringing war to Earth.

Optimus repeatedly saying that Ghost was their best option because no other group were willing to help them.

The Cybertronians cannot go back home and have to live under human terms.

Decepticons being dehumanized when captured.

Cybertronians as a whole being discriminated against and dealing with bigotry.

And, most importantly, Earthspark is a post-war setting, taking place fifteen years after the war.

So while I can see elements that Earthspark is immigration themed, once I considered all of the factors, the story of Cybertronians seem more similar to the what the losing side had to deal with after the war over. Such as what happen to Germany after WWI and WWII.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I don't get why there are so many people saying ser. Criston is Dornish. I mean, technically he is not (?) House Cole serves the house Dondarrion, which is settled at the Stormlands. Okay, so at this point in history, Dorne still resists the Targaryen conquest, so whenever ser. Criston says he fought at the Dornish Marches he actually meant he was fighting against the Dornish!  And I really don't see why would he cherish the Dornish culture as people appear to think he would/should. The only thing he says that may contribute to this idea is that the Sunspear's port deeply well, but even then what he really says is that he was a soldier at the stormlands and that he knows the sunspear's port deeply well. Ok, now regarding his appearance (on the show): Blackhaven is located at the Marches which is a border region (a quite conflicting one), so we can speculate that maybe the people in that region may resemble both the people of Dorne, and the people of Stormsland. Or we may speculate that maybe his mother was Dornish. And we can reflect upon what all of that would mean, but I really don't see why should we face ser. Criston as an attempt to represent the Dornish culture :/
