Well, I damn sure won't be romancing Davrin after all. I JUST remembered who the hell is voice actor is, and that was followed by remembering WHO THE HELL his voice actor is. Transphobic piece of...And this is the game incel gamerbros are calling 'woke'? One of the companions VA's is straight up one of theirs. You've gotta be some kind of fucking monster to be following ANDREW TATE in 2024 and nvm the terrorists of Libsoftiktok in 2024 Judge folks by the company they keep. That Ike Amadi follows extreme right political and cultural figures on Twitter is troubling. How incredibly frustrating that someone can take part in such a forward-thinking game and be part of such a progressive cast and still follow people like Andrew fucking Tate and Libs of TikTok.

Maybe, maybe he's following them just to like... Keep an eye on them? I don't know. Obviously, following an account does not necessarily mean you agree with it, but he follows quite a few of these people. We don't actually know for sure what is going on, but I don't think an explanation is too much to ask when we're talking about some of the most dangerous and well-known far-right accounts on the internet.

EDIT to add: This was originally post 2 of a 2 post series. tl;dr: Davrin's VA follows (and occasionally engages with) a BUNCH of the worst of the worst of the ultra-right-wing, ultra-anti-LGBT, specifically-trans-hostile, bigoted social media sphere. Andrew Tate, LibsofTikTok, Jordan Peterson, you name it he's at LEAST followed if not engaged. (at one point he was also anti-vax and anti-mask)

i'm legitimately crushed about this stuff with Davrin's VA. I was absolutely, for CERTAIN, going to romance the character but now that I know whose voice it is making those words, I can't - and especially when you choose to associate yourself with something as hateful as a couple of the accounts he interacts with, the company you keep becomes part of you, and I CAN NOT "separate the character from the actor". The actor is literally their voice. They're inextricably linked.

I'm not gonna be shit to Davrin in game. I'm not. But it crushes me that people are like this, and I'm gobsmacked that a) a game billing itself as progressive would hire someone like that, and b) no one seems to give a rat's ass.
