Imagine the Matsu bros having a S/O... that’s a lot like them!! (Personality wise)! DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN!

Hmm.. You know, I’m actually of the opinion that “Opposites Attract” so while the Matsus could honestly have a successful relationship with any personality type, I think they’d actually have a super high compatibility with someone who was much different than them… Is that weird?

Like personally I really enjoy when each person in a relationship has something to teach or offer the other that they might not have figured out on their own.

Still, everyone deserves to have their fave love them back so:

Osomatsu

He could work really well with someone that was similar to himself. He’s a pretty laid back guy who values honesty and fun so if someone else is as honest with him as he’d be with them, he’d be happy that the two of you were on the same page. He’d also love someone to goof and laze around with all day. He’d get along well with an S/O similar to himself or an S/O that was very different, he’s a surprisingly easy guy to get along with.

The only downside really is that one of you would have to be the “responsible” one sometimes, otherwise neither of you would ever really get anything done… And one of you would have to be mature enough to continuing deepening the relationship, not just relying on the other or becoming too dependent on each other.

Like all of his brothers though, Osomatsu would be happy with anyone regardless of personality as long as there was love and they weren’t too conflicting. I think that like Karamatsu and Jyushimatsu, Osomatsu isn’t exactly picky when it comes to personality types.

Karamatsu

Karamatsu would honestly be happy with anyone, though I do think he might have a slightly easier time (at least initially) with someone who was different than himself? Someone who was more assertive and avoidant of attention who could help him be more assertive as well? Still though, Karamatsu would honestly be happy with anyone that loved him, he’s not hard to please.

Still, I think it would definitely benefit him to have someone that could approach him or ask him what’s wrong and get him to speak up about stuff that was troubling him as he has a hard time being open about his feelings due to his naturally timid nature. So anyone who makes it clear that they are willing to listen and want him to be honest is a pretty good fit for him I’d say.

Choromatsu

Choromatsu is what I like to refer to as someone in Column B. I think he might actually struggle a little (initially at least) with someone who was super similar to himself. While Choromatsu would probably tell you that he wants someone just like him, really what he needs is someone who can help him relax a little, someone a little more mellow. Choromatsu feeds off of anxiety and fussiness so if he’s around someone that’s also like that, it just causes him to be more… Difficult.

While I’m not ruling out Choro being with someone similar to him, I definitely think it would be a rocky start. I really think he could benefit from someone who balances him out well and helps him relax a little… It’s not enough to be fans of the same Idol or fans of the same anime, because eventually you’d run out of things to talk about, and both of you being super focused on trying to find jobs and stick to status quos would just result in possibly stressing each other out.

Ichimatsu

Ichimatsu is DEFINITELY someone in Column B. While I think he could be really great friends with someone that was similar to him, I think it would be very hard for him to have a romantic partner that was like him. One of Ichi’s biggest issues is that he’s his own worst enemy, so if he was dating someone that was also self-loathing, socially anxious and dour I feel like it would just… Cause both parties to end up going in circles.

Ichimatsu is gentle and empathetic but he’s not the most confident in himself when it comes to praising others or cheering people up. Oh, he’ll try, he’ll definitely try, but if he has an S/O that’s just like him, he’ll probably end up stuck in a loop… And then his S/O would get stuck in a loop, and then they’d both be stuck in a loop.

Again, like the other brothers, it’s not something I’d completely rule out, but I feel like Ichi wouldn’t really… Enjoy dating someone that was just like him… At least not at first. On the flip side, maybe dating someone that was just like him could help him realize that he’s not all that bad. There are a lot of possibilities but yeah, I think him being with someone that was a little more confident and friendly would make for an interesting dynamic where both parties could learn a lot.

Jyushimatsu

Jyushimatsu, like Karamatsu, would be happy with anyone and doesn’t really fit A or B. He does well with both extroverted and introverted people and doesn’t seem to have a preference one way or the other. I think if he had an S/O that was super similar to him, he’d be fine with it! Another excitable person to play with and laugh with? Sign him up! The more the merrier!

His personality doesn’t clash with others easily and he’s good at maneuvering himself in social situations based on the context of what’s happening or how the other person is feeling. If you need a pick me up, he’s got it. If you need to just sit and be sad, he’s got that too. It’s actually hard for me to picture him in a relationship where he’s clashing with the other person personality-wise.

Todomatsu

Todomatsu is what I like to refer to as someone in Column A. Yep, finally, a different column! Unlike Choromatsu and Ichimatsu, I could see Todomatsu thriving with someone that was very similar to himself, even as a romantic partner. In fact, I think he’d absolutely love having someone around that “got” him or wanted to go shopping with him or to the gym with him. He’d love having an S/O he could take to parties and social gatherings with others, someone who was fashionable and cute like him. Todomatsu tends to like to stick with people who are more sociable and trendy like him anyways, I think he’d have a hard time reaching out to someone that was more reclusive and anti-social.

Again, while I don’t think it’s impossible for him to be with someone that was super different from him, I think he’d definitely struggle. It would be a rocky start and a strong foundation would need to be developed if the relationship were to get any more serious. It would take a lot of time and patience on both parties’ ends.

THAT BEING SAID, with enough communication and patience the Matsus would honestly be happy with anyone and really these are just possible hiccups I could see for some of them in the early stages rather than how they would be later on.

[Spoiler Free Review] Hanayaka Nari, Waga Ichizoku

Since I really enjoyed writing my first review, I’m back with another one~ This one will be a bit shorter.

I think there are still people playing this game even if it’s quite old since Otomate keeps porting it to different platforms (PSVita and Nintendo Switch). I got myself the PSP version.

Story

Our protagonist, Haru, comes from a poor background and starts working as a maid at the Miyanomori mansion to support her family. She meets the six Miyanomori brothers – each born from a different mother.

It does sound pretty fun at first for Haru who used to work at a factory. However, she quickly understands that it is not going to be an easy task - especially with those brothers who treat her like garbage.

A short while after she starts working, the head of the family, Genichirou, announces that he’s going to retire and therefore needs to chose the next head. He challenges all his sons to entertain him and collect points: the first one to reach ten points will be chosen...

The characters

About the heroine

Her personality was pretty common : she’s a clumsy airhead, and an idiot (to be very blunt) One might think that this is the ultimate combo to make a character annoying. Nonetheless, I found her very cute. Her design also meets my taste (I love braids hehe). I love characters who try their best no matter how hard they are struggling. Moreover, her personality was a great contrast with most LIs’, and allowed funny and adorable dynamics.

Miyanomori Tadashi : (34) Serious megane dude x ore-sama x oldest son

(CV : Miyauchi Atsushi)

He lives to work and works because he likes working (this man HAS NO LIFE).

I’m usually not into those guys who look stuck up because I want spicy development. However, he was unexpectdly awkward, which resulted in hilarious relashionship development with Haru, especially in the good ending (I swear I cracked on my bed like a psycho).

I!! Like!! Dense!! and!! pure!! Ossans!! (hey Nanase Izuki ⊂(･ω･*⊂) )

He was kinda harsh with Haru at first and didn’t trust her at all but he gradually opens up and listens to her troubles as a maid.

His route dealt with themes such a friendship and social status. It didn’t reveal anything about the Miyanomori family...

Isami : (31) military x tsundere #1 x idiot

(CV : Tasaka Hideki)

Heyyy it’s the first tsundere!! His relationship unfolds almost the same as Tadashi : tough at first, sweet by the end.

It was hilarious how his personality did a 180 : from tsundere to absolute idiot sweetheart. However, I have to say that I was sometimes bothered by what he was saying as it was borderline manipulative when he wanted to sound sweet... HMM...

Except that, his route was well balanced.

Mom rating ; Honjouin Toki : 2.5/5 (She was okayish?)

Shigeru : (26) crossdresser x carefree x teenage crisis

I’ll go straight to the point : I don’t like him (；⌣̀_⌣́)

This might be a bit spoilery but I found him very childish even though he is 26. His relationship with his dad is terrible but that doesn’t justifiy how annoying he is. He also had a lot of “what is this feeling?” trope during his route, and I felt like it wasn’t handled the way I like it. The two previous bros also took quite a long time before noticing how they felt about Haru but at least they were cute trying to figure out...

Mom rating ; Yasuda Shizuko : 2.5/5 (I honestly have no opinion about her so I’m just going to give her a the average mark)

Susumu : (22) good boy x dense x angst

I liked him since the beginning because he is the only guy who has always treated Haru like a humain being, unlikes his brothers!!

I thought he would be a good boy whose route wouldbe fluffy and tame... I’ve got it all wrong. He is not that kind... He’s willing to make huge sacrifices for the sake of his beliefs.

I think he has quite a weird relationship with his friend, but no complaints since all the drama was necessary for Susumu to realize his own feelings.

I can’t say anymore because of spoilers huhh

Mom rating ; Ariyoshi Fumiko : 4.5/5 (she was very supportive but a bit of an airhead)

Hiroshi : (18) childish x creative x growth

He’s that cute and happy guy in otome games who likes playing pranks on others...

He’s only 18 and yet, I feel like he has grown so much in his route (unlike SHIGERU). He was very pure and assertive. I was glad that there was finally a guy open about his feelings. His childish side didn’t bother me at all since it was to be expected from the previous routes.

I loved how the ending and his decisions showed that he had grown to be a fine man. His character development was the best imo.

That glow up five years later tho...

Mom rating ; Saeki Yoshi : 4.5/5 (!!!spoiler!!! : I liked the fact that his mom accepted his relationship with Haru)

Masashi : tsundere #2 x sharp tongue x clever

What a brat. What a smart brat. I have mixed feelings about this character. I like and hate him at the same time XD stop insulting me

Although he keeps calling Haru an ‘idiot’ (because he’s such a tsundere), he grows fond of her (´･ᴗ･ ` ) He knows nothing about love, and because of some minor *incident* he thought that he had to take responsibility and marry the heroine lmao

Anyway, the latter half of his route is drama with his father (actually, everybody got drama because of Genichirou, that prick) that he handled pretty well despite the fact that he’s the youngest. Playing him last before the secret character makes a lot of sense, as it completely exposes the character’s identity and objectives).

Tsundere rating : 5/5 (I’ll give him a Tsundere Award)

Is the character dense ? yes / HE IS DARN SHARP??? (I was impressed during that one scene where he carefully used his brain to understand what was going on, unlike his older bros)

Mom rating ; Imura Chiyoko : 0/5 (worst mom ever)

Secret character : (???) double-faced x and no more tag because I can’t think of non-spoilers

I can only say I liked the secret character, even though I would have liked to see less angst... That will probably come in the fandisc...

My character ranking : Hiroshi > Susumu > Secret Character > Tadashi = Isami = Masashi > Shigure

I really liked them all though ;;; (except Shigeru *coughs*)

Cons

Long common route, which feels tedious to skip when changing routes.

Bad resolution on PSP

Each route follows more or less the same pattern

Pros

Animated backgrounds and lip-sync (even though this game is from 2010 ?!!!)

Large cast of suitors, you’ll eventually find one you like

Very cute optional “quest” system

The bottom line

I kinda regret not getting the Vita port for high res CGs *cries* Since I started playing on PSP, I’ll probably buy the other games on PSP. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, I can positively recommend this game to anybody. I think it has everything: plot, fleshed-out characters, funny moments, action, mystery, angst… and romance of course. I was pleasantly surprised by the dynamic between the brothers since I thought they would be at each other’s throat to become the heir. Turns out I was wrong (phew!) and it is actually the complete opposite. Their bickering was truly heart-warming ~

The Greatest Big Screen Adaptation Of A Video Game Ever Produced? Well, Actually, Yes.

Time once again to talk Cineville, aka my monthly film series at Wonderville, in which I challenge the stigmas that are associated with movies that are associated with video games. Including the one golden rule of all big screen adaptations, which is how they all suck.

Granted, that’s true most of the time… except when Takashi Miike is calling the shots. Yes… Audition, Ichi The Killer, Visitor Q, 13 Assassins… that Takashi Miike.

I’ve discussed its brilliance several times already, in several places, like when I had a video game focused-film column for Kotaku once upon a time. So I’m happy to finally present what I consider to be the absolute greatest big screen adaptation of a video game ever… even if that bar is super low… aka his interpretation of Ace Attorney.

I suppose the aforementioned stigma is why it’s one of the lesser talked about Miike flicks, but even I was taken aback by how, when promoting the screening at my Anime NYC panel last week, every single person in the audience gave out an audible “I had no idea this was even a thing!” gasp.

Unlike last month, we’re back to our last Monday of every month schedule, which means it’s… omg… tomorrow night, November 25! But it’s the same slightly earlier start time like before; this time it’s because it’s kind of long movie, 7:30pm. Plus the same address since the very beginning: Wonderville is located at 1186 Broadway, in Brooklyn. And finally, as always, this is a free event!

Michiru: Well, it's not so much the omikuji itself that's interesting, but what you do based on the result. Akira: Sakurazaka Shrine, is it. Akira: There are many shrines that favor the performing arts, but as for characteristic omikuji, it must be that one. Michiru: Correct, Akira! Shiori: Sakurazaka Shrine... So there's a place like that. What kind of omikuji are they? Michiru: Fufufu ♪ You'll see if you come along! My mom will drive us there, so let's hurry and go! Shiori: Ah... She's leaving. The proof is in the fact that you came here to Sakurazaka Shrine!" Shiori: What exactly are they doing...? Akira: An improvisation, huh. Michiru: That's this shrine's omikuji♪ Shiori: This is an omikuji...? Michiru: On the omikuji, something like 'there's good luck in doing such and such' is written, you see? Michiru: So everyone who comes here on New Year's day will do what's written on the omikuji to increase their luck in the performing arts. Shiori: ? So you're saying 'there's good luck in doing an improvisation' was written on their omikuji? Michiru: Right! Surprising, isn't it~ Apparently, they were originally regular omikuji, but... Michiru: Looong ago, a nearby school would come to the shrine and perform prayers associated with the omikuji's contents. Michiru: They began to gain fame little by little and gradually the contents of the omikuji changed as well... Michiru: Nowadays it's exclusively the performing arts column where things like doing an improvisation is written. It seems the school in question that started it doesn't do it anymore, though. Shiori: I see... So it has that kind of history. Shizuha: Oh? Lalafin: Ah! It's Siegfeld's...! Michiru: Shizuha-chan, Tsukasa-chan, Lalafin-chan! Happy New Year~! Michiru: Of course~♪ Michiru: The truth is, Akira decided to reply to the invite herself before I could even see it~ Tsukasa: Then the one who wrote "We have no time for the likes of Frontier" was... Michiru: I don't know how much it mattered to them, but if we're going to be standing on the same stage at the Performance Festival, it's good to clear the air. Shiori: Ah...! Michiru: Hm? What's wrong, Shiori? Ichie: Huh? Tamao: You are... Rui: Siegfeld's...!

Carrying Out a Tradition

[New Year's Morning, Tokaso Dormitory] Rui: Tamao-senpai... Is this okay? Tamao: A little tighter is fine. ...There, like that. Tamao: Rui-chan, thank you for helping me put on my furisode. ...How does it look? Rui: I-I-I-It looks really nice on you! No other Stage Girl looks as good in a furisode! Tamao: Apparently, the "Sakurazaka Pilgrimage" was an important event that everyone participated in during my grandmother's time at Rinmeikan, but... Tamao: ...She must have been nervous. I'm pretty sure she's still in middle school, right? And being surrounded by high schoolers...you see? Ichie: Ah, I see, gotcha. Otomate recently announced a couple of upcoming new titles as well as new info and confirmed release dates of their previously announced games during the Otomate Party (2019) Event held in Tokyo International Convention Center, Japan.

There are currently twelve games (both old and new) that were recently announced coming for the Nintendo Switch.

Heart no Kuni no Alice – “Alice in the Country of Hearts” Wonderful White World & Wonderful Black World

This was originally a QuinRose game published by Prototype back in 2007 both for the PSP and PC systems. It was later ported as a mobile game in 2014 (Android and iOS) and then to the PS VITA in 2015.

Fun Fact: An English patch was completed and released for this game back in 2018.

Story (VNDB): Alice is realistic; especially about love. One day, she is taken to the world of heart, which is full of danger. For example, an owner of a hat shop is a gangster, and every theme park worker carries a gun; almost all of the people are dangerous.

She somehow starts to enjoy her life there, after she is forced to take a drug which prevents her from returning to her original world. Will she find a way back? Will she fall in love?

CUPID PARASITE

Parasite Cupid is a love comedy otome game about a protagonist who’s a bridal matchmaker that’s also *secretly* a cupid (goddess) at the same time. Her goal is to help “five parasites” (five ikemens) who can’t find true love.

No further details have been revealed for this game yet other than all the ikemens are “yokais” (non-human, demon spirits). Seiyuus (Voice Actors) include Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Takahiro Sakurai, Yusuke Kobayashi, Ryouta Ohsaka.

Fun Fact: If you love the art for Bad Apple Wars, you will love this game’s characters designs, as it’s created by the same artist Suou.

This will be the first fandisc of 2018’s hit Otomate title Piofiore No Banshou. This fandisc will be written by Kazura Ringo and will be directed by Asahi Takamura. Both are the same screenwriter and director of the first game.

MEIJI KATSUGEKI HAIKARA

The game is developed and supervised by Ichi Column, the popular game studio known for their hit Hanayaka Nari series. No further details have been revealed for this game’s plot yet other than that its setting will be in the Meiji Period (😂just like how the title gives it away lol).

Rejoice! Our favorite title, Amnesia Memories finally gets a Nintendo Switch Port. This game is confirmed to release September 12, 2019. Furthermore, the game’s first and second fandisc, Amnesia Crowd and Later, will also be making it’s way to the switch console. The bundled fandisc is set to release on October 3, 2019.

They’ve actually pre-announced this game during last year’s Otomate Party (2018). Sadly, this title’s release date was pushed back to 2020. The game was designed by the famous Japanese Illustrator Satoi. This artist is popular for her famous works such as Diabolik Lovers series, Re: Birthday Song series and Ozmafia.

BILSHANKA SENKI ~Genpeiden~

Just like Olympia Soriee, this game was also pre-announced during last year’s Otomate party (2018). This game is a collaboration between Red Entertainment and Otomate.

The story premise takes place around the Heian period during the civil war of Genpei (1180-1185), opposing the two clans Yorimoto and Taira. Most of the main characters are inspired by real personalities of the time. The heroine is the last daughter of the Minamoto and is named Shanaou, birth name of the famous General Minamoto no Yoshitsune.

Seiyuus (Voice Actors) include Makoto Furukawa, Soma Saito, Kengo Kawanishi, Yuichiro Umehara, and Jun Fukuyama.

Gensou Kissa Enchanté

To end this roundup with a bang. Here, we have more deets and a confirmed release date for the game Gensou Kissa Enchante. The game premise is about a young girl, Kotone Awaki (protagonist) working at this non-human café in a separate world.

Fun Fact: This game’s scenario writer is Nao Kojima, who’s widely known for his famous works: Hakuoki, Code Realize, and Variable Barricade. The game’s head illustrator was also by Japanese artist Yuuya. You’ll find some of her works very familiar if you’ve played the titles: Hanayaka Nari series, Dandy Shot “Pub Encounters” and Jakuo no Lyla.

Seiyuus (Voice Actors) include Kenji Akabane, Yuichiro Umehara, Kaito Ishikawa, Yuki Ono and Junichi Suwabe.

Santa’s Candy Cane (Saiouma)

Prompt #13 from the Holiday/Christmas prompt list for Anon! Tbh, I started out with a really good idea for this and then I happened to forget what that idea was the moment I finally got around to working on it. So, I kept experimenting with other ideas until I ended up with the one I have now.

Title: Santa’s Candy Cane

Prompt: “Ho ho ho, bitch.”

Summary: Kokichi decides to wear a revealing Santa costume and surprise Shuichi when he comes home. Who knew that the usually timid detective was going to react the way he did...

One-shot is under the cut!

Kokichi stared at himself in the mirror, a wide grin spread across his lips.

He wore a red velvet, long sleeve crop top with white fur at the ends of the sleeves and the collar, a matching red velvet miniskirt with a brown belt, red and white striped stockings, and black heeled boots with white fur at the top along with white gloves on his hands and a Santa hat atop his head.

“This’ll do the trick.” he said.

He shot finger guns at his reflection.

“Ho ho ho, bitch.” he said.

He let out his signature ‘nishishi’ as he heard the front door to the apartment open.

Ah, that must be Shuichi, he thought to himself.

“I’m home!” he heard Shuichi called out.

“I’m in the bedroom!” he looked away from the mirror. “Babe, I need you to do something for me!” he called out.

“Like?”

“Go sit in the living room and close your eyes. I’ll tell you when you can open them.” he requested.

“...Okay?”

Kokichi listened as Shuichi walked across their apartment to the living room.

That was a close one...I can’t have him walking in on me, now can I, he wondered to himself.

He tugged down on the hem of his miniskirt a little as he rose his head to look at his reflection once more.

“Okay...I’m good to go.” he turned and began to make his way over to the bedroom door. “Time to knock him dead.” he said with a giggle before stepping out into the hall.

He made his way into the living room, immediately spotting Shuichi. He was seated on the couch, his eyes closed like he had instructed him to earlier. He had to repress a giggle.

Aaaaaagh, he looks so cute like that, he thought to himself.

He walked over and stopped in front of Shuichi, placing a hand on his shoulder and leaning in towards him.

“You can open your eyes now.” he said.

“Okay...” Shuichi’s eyes slowly opened. “Kokichi, just what in the world is—“ he stopped, eyes locking on Kokichi.

“Nishishi~! Tada!” Kokichi pulled away, showing Shuichi his outfit. “Well? What do you think?” he asked.

“Uh...” Shuichi trailed off, his eyes raking over Kokichi’s body.

“You’re speechless.” Kokichi reached up and began twirling a strand of hair around his finger. “Is it because I look drop dead sexy in this?” he asked teasingly.

“Geh! That...!” Shuichi’s cheeks flushed an adorable shade of red. “It’s just...why exactly are you wearing that...?” he mumbled out.

“What, I can’t?” Kokichi asked.

“I didn’t say you can’t! But...” Shuichi brought a hand up to his mouth, averting his gaze. “Why...?” he asked.

“Oh, that’s what you mean...” Kokichi brought his hand to his chin. “That’s a good question, Shuichi.” he said.

“You chose to do it, so you at least know why!” Shuichi complained.

“Nishishi~! I was only messing with you, my beloved. I wanted to surprise you!” Kokichi chirped.

Shuichi arched a brow in confusion.

“Surprise me?” he questioned.

“Yup! That was the plan! And I think I succeeded, seeing as you were left speechless when you saw it.” Kokichi said.

“W-Well...who wouldn’t be if they saw their lover in a revealing outfit like that?” Shuichi asked, gold eyes locking on Kokichi’s purple ones.

Kokichi swore his heart skip a beat at how Shuichi casually used the word lover. He hated that every little thing the detective did made his heart flutter or skip a beat like some high school girl in love. But at the same time, he loved it.

He shoved that feeling down as he placed his hands on his hips.

“Touché. Say, Shuichi,” he began to close the distance between them, swaying his hips in a seductive fashion, “What are you feeling right now?” he asked.

“Huh?” Shuichi answered.

Shuichi watched as Kokichi removed his hands from his hips and placed them on his shoulders.

“I said,” Kokichi straddled him with his knees on either side of Shuichi’s thighs, “what are you feeling right now?” he repeated.

“What I’m feeling right now...” Shuichi trailed off.

“Yeah.” Kokichi moved his hand up the side of Shuichi’s neck. “Seeing me in this outfit as I’m straddling you on the couch...does it stir some kind of emotion from within you?” he asked.

Shuichi found himself paralyzed under Kokichi’s sensual gaze. Kokichi brushed his thumb along Shuichi’s lips, causing electricity to shoot through the detective’s body.

“Hm?” Kokichi hummed out.

Shuichi watched Kokichi run the top of his tongue along his bottom lip, swallowing. He felt the sudden need to capture Kokichi’s lips in a kiss, plunge his tongue inside, and taste every corner of his mouth. He wanted to pin Kokichi to the couch and watch him writhe and moan in pleasure from under him as he slowly took off his clothes and ravished him.

His heartbeat quickened as various scenarios played through his mind. The intoxicating scent of Kokichi’s peppermint lotion combined with the lavender from his shampoo made him lose the little bit of rationality he had.

Before Kokichi could react, Shuichi turned them so that Kokichi was under him on the couch. Kokichi blinked up at him in surprise as Shuichi pinned his wrists above his head with his hand.

“Shuichi...?” he spoke.

“You...” Shuichi trailed off.

He observed Kokichi, eyes tracing over every feature from the blank expression on his face, his tantalizing purple eyes, his slightly parted lips that were a blush pink color, the light red that began to stain his cheeks, his slender figure, and the way the miniskirt was hiked up. His imagination began to run wild as his eyes danced along the hem of the skirt. Just thinking about what was under the skirt made a switch flick on from within him.

“Shuichi—“ Kokichi only managed to say Shuichi’s name before their lips met in a sudden kiss.

Kokichi was taken aback by the roughness of the kiss. Shuichi kissed him harder, making Kokichi kiss back with as much fervor. Shuichi pried Kokichi’s mouth open, plunging his tongue inside. Kokichi moaned into Shuichi’s mouth as their tongues danced together.

Using his free hand, Shuichi slipped it under Kokichi’s crop top, tweaking his right nipple. Kokichi gasped into his mouth as Shuichi pulled away, proceeding to pepper his jawline with kisses.

“Shu...ichi...” Kokichi panted out.

Shuichi continued, trailing kisses down the pale column of his neck towards his exposed collarbone. He straddled Kokichi’s leg as he tugged lightly on the hardened nub, nipping at his collarbone.

“Mmmm...shit, Shuichi...” Kokichi groaned out.

Kokichi could feel himself growing hard as Shuichi moved lower. He shifted his hips a little so that Shuichi’s thigh was pressed against the growing bulge in between his legs.

Shuichi pulled away from Kokichi’s chest, glancing down at his thigh.

“I didn’t even do that much and you’re this hard already?” he asked, raising his gaze back up to meet Kokichi’s.

“That...!” a furious blush danced across Kokichi’s cheeks. “That’s all your fault!” he whined.

“My fault? How so?” Shuichi asked.

“When you do those things to me, I...” Kokichi averted his gaze. “I get like this...” he mumbled.

“Heh...” Shuichi swiped a thumb across his right nipple, eliciting a small whimper from Kokichi. “Well, I can’t leave you like this, now can I?” he asked.

He released his hold on Kokichi’s wrists and he slid his hands down the sides of his body, cupping the curve of his ass.

“Raise your hips for me.” he said.

Kokichi complied, watching as Shuichi began to pull the stockings off of him. After tossing them off to the side, he moved in between Kokichi’s legs and began kissing along his inner thigh.

“Shuichi...” Kokichi reached out to tug on Shuichi’s hair. “Don’t tease me like that...just suck me off already...” he said.

“Alright.” Shuichi replied.

He flipped Kokichi’s skirt, revealing his hardened length. He watched Kokichi for a split second before beginning to drag his tongue along the underside of it. Kokichi hissed, his head tipping back as Shuichi swirled his tongue around the tip.

“Mmmm, shit...” he moaned.

Shuichi wrapped a hand around Kokichi’s length, pumping it as he closed his mouth around the tip. He bobbed his head, listening to the moans and sighs that fell from Kokichi’s lips.

“Shuichi, go deeper...take me in your mouth deeper...” he demanded, tugging more on Shuichi’s hair.

Shuichi complied, engulfing more of Kokichi’s length. He puffed his cheeks out, making sure that he didn’t drag his teeth along his length.

Kokichi moaned loudly as he swung his legs onto Shuichi’s shoulders and pressed them against the sides of his head, keeping it nestled in between his legs. Shuichi placed his hands on Kokichi’s thighs, pushing them away from his head so that Kokichi wasn’t choking him.

“Oh, shit...Fuck!” Shuichi continued moving his mouth up and down Kokichi’s length. “Oh, that feels so good!” Kokichi cried out.

He began bucking his hips up, reaching up to tweak with one of his nipples. He twisted and pinched it, moans tumbling out of his mouth uncontrollably as a familiar heat began to coil up in his stomach.

A Small Game

Cutting it close for posting on the right day, but here’s my piece for the winter mini exchange over on @dcmkkaishinexchange. my recipient is @hachikoshrine.

I stayed as close to one of the prompts you gave as I could. I hope you enjoy!

When Shinichi woke, he wasn't expecting it to be to a crash from downstairs. However, guessing that it was just Ran, he took his time getting ready. When he finally made his way downstairs, it was to no such sight. He walked into the kitchen to see it almost completely trashed. So, at least he knew where the crash had come from then. There was a small stack of pots and pans leading up to one of the higher windows and took a moment to comprehend it.

The last time that anything similar had happened Kaitou KID had broken in in the middle of the night to do--well actually he didn’t know. Shinichi, slowly started moving to see if he could find anything missing or even just a note.

When he went up to the library to investigate, there was a convenient note sitting on the desk

good moring, my Knight. it is time to start moving, for another is waiting for you in her Abode above the place of waking,

He stared at the note for a moment. The randomly capitalized words were a bit annoying, but obviously had some kind of significance, the thief had definitely never called him a knight before. The objective of what KID wanted him to do was pretty obvious too. It wasn’t hard to figure out that “the place of waking” was probably Poirot and the “Abode” was the detective agency. So, somehow, KID knew that he was supposed to head that way before it got too late in the day.

Shinichi did a quick scan of the room to make sure everything was still present. One things stood out to him immediately. One of the small presents that one of the Detective Boys had given him was missing from its proper place.

Shinichi took a moment to figure out where KID might have placed the darn thing as a way to mess with him, but he couldn’t find it at all.

Knowing that his only lead was the darn note that the thief had left, Shinichi decided to follow it, hoping that he’d be able to retrieve the trinket at the end of whatever game KID was playing.

When he arrived at the detective agency it wasn’t hard to find the new note as it was simply taped to the first door up the stairs. Obviously, KID either didn’t want to risk running into Ran, or was only a little ahead of Shinichi himself in the game.

In case you were wondering, The thing you are missing can be found in the place of your pondering.

This new note was not quite as obvious as the first. “The place of your pondering” could mean many things to Shinichi: his home library, the school, the detective agency he was currently outside of, the police station, etc.

For now though, he decided to let the note sit in the back of his mind while he spent the rest of the morning with Ran. No, they weren’t dating. They had decided that, after a week of trying, their dynamic just didn’t work for that kind of relationship and had defaulted back to business as usual. However, they still hung out together quite a bit, and that’s what the intention for the day had been until KID had initiated their little game.

Shinichi decided to head on up to the flat above the agency since Ran was more likely to be up there than down where she would have to deal with her father. Before he could even knock, the door opened

“Shinichi! I thought you wouldn’t be here until later!” Shinichi found himself being grabbed by the shoulders and dragged into the flat without being given the chance to respond. “I hope you don’t mind, but Aoko called this morning and said that she and Kaito were planning on being in Beika today and asked to meet up with us. I said that we had some plans but offered to let them tag along so they’re already here.”

Shinichi took a moment to comprehend what Ran was telling him before responding, “That’s fine.” Surprisingly, Ran and Aoko were friends because they had met through Kaito and Shinichi meeting up with each other as much as they could get away with when the boys were younger (and didn’t have cell phones).

The group of four proceed about their day, and Shinichi still couldn’t figure out where the note was trying to send him. He could feel Kaito kind of staring at the back of his head and it was starting to make him uncomfortable until the other boy finally spoke up.

“What are you so stressed about Shinichi?” Kaito was staring at him like he already knew more than he was letting on.

Shinichi turned to him and kind of sighed before giving the most basic explanation he could think of, “KID, the thief one, is playing a bit of a game with me. I’m trying to figure out the second clue he left me.”

Kaito kind of chuckled, “You need some help, Ichi? I could take a look at it.”

Shinichi sighed at the silly nickname Kaito had come up with when he started refusing to respond to Shin-chan, before turning away from him, “Not yet. I want to see how far I can get without any help first.”

Kaito shrugged, “Suit yourself.” It was silent for a moment before he spoke up, “Hey, I need to go to the library before we head back to Ekoda. So I’m going to break off and go do that. Let the girls know for me, yeah?”

Shinichi absently nodded before moving to catch up with said girls since they had lagged behind with their conversation. For some reason, Shinichi’s mind couldn’t let go of the fact that one could often study or look up weird facts in a library without getting questioned too badly. He eventually decided to head that way when the group of four split to go home.

Kaito and Aoko had broken off to head back to the train station and Ran had gotten a call from her dad asking her to head back, so Shinichi quickly made his way to the nearest public library to the detective station. One of the columns outside had another piece of paper taped to it, and when Shinichi walked up to it it was obvious that it was his next clue.

Though the odd capitalization continued, in this note it made some since in helping him identify the right phrase to focus on. It was pointing him right to the Sherlock Holmes books inside. When he reached them, he pulled the books off the shelves until he found the small bracelet from Ayumi and what was hopefully his last clue.

The capitals in this note obviously spelled out something by itself, and it was a name that Shinichi very quickly recognized due to his friendship with the very family it mentioned. K-U-R-O-B-A. He pulled out the other notes, that had been slowly collecting in his pocket and picked out the capitals there as well: K-A-I-T-O. Shinichi shook his head when he realized what it meant--the dork hadn’t even tried to scramble them up a bit.

Nevertheless, Shinichi headed back to the street where he started this morning: home. When he arrived, he definitely wasn’t expecting the sight that greeted him. A white clad thief holding a small bouquet of red and lavender roses.

When Shinichi approached the person he now knew was his best friend, the only word he could hear was “So?”

Shinichi smiled before replying, “Kaito, you’re such an idiot,” and a puff of smoke later, the person that was standing front of him was no longer a confident white-clad thief, but a sheepish best friend.

“Sorry, Ichi. I wanted to tell you sooner, but I didn’t think it was safe enough.” Kaito cleared his throat, “uh, the-these are for you,” he said holding out the roses.

Shinichi took them and looked at them for a moment. Six total roses. Three of each of the two colors. “Kaito, you are aware of the bouquet that you just handed me means, yes?” At the other’s slight nod, he smiled. “Don’t think this ends the detective-thief dynamic we have at heists.”

“Hey! As if I could-”

“I love you too, dork.”
