“Sure, I’m pretty sure we can make something with fifteen minutes. Let’s do it in the living room though, there’s a little more space there and I don’t fancy the idea of turning my room upside down. How about you go downstairs and choose a spot while I look for some more pillows and blankets?”
Finally having enough time to do so, the analyst finally called the phone number placed on the voucher she had been given.
-Ichi-Peachy
The line would ring once, twice, thrice before she was greeted to a generic yet polite voice.
"Hello, this is Midori-san of PillowFort. How can we help you today?"

“Yeah, but they’re too small. So I just ended up falling. Ichi said they at least needed to be as big as my back, but that’s gonna take forever to happen.”
Ichi remembered catching Lily casually leaping off a really high place. It was a complete miracle that she just so happened to be around to catch her. After which, the little guardian was heavily scolded for her recklessness.
A quick smile was given to Val, but it melted as fast as it came while Lily talked. If Novas, er, supernatural people were common place. Then it was probably safe to let Lily chatter on about it. If Lily wanted to do so, Ichi would let her. Though she certainly wasn’t going to participate in the conversation the way Lily was.
“Even if Lily’s wings did grow to full size, helping her learn how to properly use them to fly would be an issue of it’s own.”

Pmph!
An unfortunate sound, or well.. Sensation.? It was the tune of a rather unfortunate analytic being caught at the wrong place at the wrong time and getting pelted in the back with a stray snowball. It wasn't anything big, of course, nor was there a rock inside of it either; no child was trying to kill their friend with it.
"He-Hey!" But the panicked whines that came with the snowball were as guilty as a child trying to kill their friend with it. On the upside, the culprit quickly came to their aide, ready to apologize for the mishap. Even better, though, was that it was a familiar face and voice.
"Ah-haha.. I'm sorry about that."

Ichi tried to be mindful about leaving enough for everybody, but she still ended up taking a little more than intended. It was exhausting being drained and sick, and she needed something to recuperate that energy.
Ichi wasn't so blind to not have already noticed the differences, but it seemed she was simply more comfortable ignoring them. It wasn't Fujio, it would never be Fujio. It felt like it was a different person entirely.
Though a bit of hunger remained, she still thought it would be better to simply leave the rest to Reid and Fujiko. Placing her utensils in the middle of her plate.
"That was incredible, who taught you to cook?"
Despite her unwillingness to see Fujiko, despite her inability to face what that would've meant. Fate was a funny thing that didn't care about her wants or desires.
Really, she only had herself to blame for her poor condition. Feverishly high body temperature and still marching though the rain, having just finished an interview with one of its students and getting caught in the weather.
Eyes feeling heavy, she tried to remember the way home past her heavy headache. Walking almost aimlessly. It was times like these where she regretted working so tirelessly.
-Ichi-Peachy
"Jeez.."
The weatherman couldn't have been any more wrong about the forecast. What should have been a "day of clear skies" was anything but; with the bustling streets around her being a few shades more dreary.
It was lucky that she always kept a mini umbrella in her bag but, seeing many of her fellow students run across streets with only their jackets to shield them from the down pour, it didn't look like everyone else was as fortunate.
It's only an emergency umbrella, though, and if things continued to get worse, it wouldn't last. Not by the time she got home.
Maybe I'll stop by Reid's..
It was close, dry and unmistakably always warm. With every step, it was sounding like an even better choice than before.

“Thank you, I like to try and keep it clean.”
It was harder somedays, like the days she didn’t even want to rise from the comfort of her bed. Ironically, now that she felt jittery she needed to allow herself to attain that lazy sensation once again. A gentle smile was tossed to Val as the analyst crawled under the blanket as well. Surely the familiarity of her own bed would help ease her awkward feelings.
“It’s only the rest of the house that’s harder to maintain, with two girls running around and all.”
Stiff.
That’s how Ichi felt.
She wasn’t sure if she was supposed to get closer or wait for Val to get comfortable first. Usually, it was Lily and Nezumi who initiated the cuddling, rarely the other way around. So, she sort just let herself try to relax her body. Silently waiting for the professional to give her a bit of help.
Finally having enough time to do so, the analyst finally called the phone number placed on the voucher she had been given.

“...”
Lily, who would’ve been the first to speak between her and her sister, stared silently at Manami. Perplexed. Trying to figure out whether the horns were an accessory or as real as her own wings. That was fine with Ichi though. Even if she wasn’t very fond of being the one to do the social interaction, it wasn’t like she couldn’t.
“Smooth Jives smoothie, Apple Juice, and Hot Chocolate please.”

“I like listening to your voice.”
Being the big spoon felt nice. It was as enjoyable as being the little spoon, but just different. Like this, it felt like she was able to physically hold onto something lovely. Hold onto something that made her happy and keep it there for as long as she wanted. Not having to worry about the fleeting feeling escaping.
Did that make sense?
“When you were little, what did you want to do? Is there anything you dreamed of becoming?”

The comfortable items were placed neatly before them, giving Val all the material she needed to work with. Taking a momentary seat on the couch nearby Val, staring at the items but lacking any real vision to them like the cuddler.
“Very well, just let me know how you’d like it and I’ll give you a hand. We can set this up quick enough.”

“At the very least, it’ll keep Lily still for the evening.”
Which was worth much more than could imagine. Giving both the analyst and Nezumi a break from the little tornado’s chaos. Ichi covered her arms as Val got up to leave, waiting until they were gone until she let her hands fall. First, she needed to figure out what to do about these...
When Ichi came down, it was with a light blue cardigan along with a stack of pillows and blankets. The blankets were more thicker, being used only for winter.
“Here we go! I think these should be enough. Have you found a spot you’d like to use?”
Finally having enough time to do so, the analyst finally called the phone number placed on the voucher she had been given.

“Of course!”
The analyst rushed over to the kitchen to grab four stools. Placing them in the spots Val explained to her. White, red, green, and grey seats while the legs themselves remained white.

Travel.
It was something both exciting and terrifying to her. On one hand, she liked the idea that there was so much more to the world than the little place she resided in. Other places with different cultures, types of people, and way of life different from her own. On the other hand, it was a scary thought to travel somewhere far away from home. Away from her safe place. So she simply settled for admiring the idea itself.
“What can you tell me about Venice? I’ve heard of it before, somewhere in Italy I think, but I don’t know much else about it. What’s it like there?”
Finally having enough time to do so, the analyst finally called the phone number placed on the voucher she had been given.

The analyst knelt down to peak inside the miniature fort. It was surprising how quickly Val was able to construct one, as well as how well made it was. After which, she plopped down inside to enjoy the space.
“Amazing.”
Excellent timing as well, as the sound of clicking was heard from the backdoor. The sound of Lily excitedly chattering to Nezumi growing louder as the child spoke eagerly about different type of bees. Nezumi of course, simply listened and nodded along to what they were saying. Even if Lily started to stumble over her words from how fast she was talking.

Lily frowned, not very happy about having a stranger over in her house without being told beforehand. Despite being visibly displeased, she still shifted her frown to a more neutral expression and then waved. Mostly due to the small tug Nezumi gave to her sister’s sleeve, signaling something to them.
“Hello. Who are you?”
Despite the fact that Ichi wasn’t very happy to see Lily’s initial look of visible displeasure, she couldn’t say anything about it. Especially since Lily did remain polite despite that. Which had to count for something.
“There are my sisters, Lily and Nezumi.”

The pillow fort was done, and no doubt Lily would come back soon to enjoy it with Nezumi. So, for the moment she was with Val for a little longer. Too little time to get comfortable, too much to sit in silence.
"What sort of plans do you have after this?"
No doubt she wished to invite the cuddler to stay a while. She lacked the tact to hide it. But she also didn't want to offer in case they had any more clients they needed to visit.

“Ah...”
She didn’t mean to sound disappointed, especially since she expected them to have other clients aside from her. Unfortunately, nothing could really change that. It did cheer her up hearing their offer.
“Yeah, I’ll do that next time..!”
The tiny firecracker ran down half the staircase before hopping on the handrail to slide the rest of the way down. She'd done it enough times to land safely at the end. That was all that could be heard, since after their little crash landing they disappeared from sight. Nezumi took the much more safe and reasonable approach of walking down the staircase while holding the handle.
Finally having enough time to do so, the analyst finally called the phone number placed on the voucher she had been given.

“Nice to meet-!”
“We’re gonna go put our stuff away!”
Lily took her little sister and dragged them away and up their staircase. To, supposably, put their things away. The little pillow fortress didn’t escape her from the corner of her eye. While she didn’t say anything, you could see the gleam in her eye. Before they vanished after descending up the staircase.
“I’m sorry, she gets a little... thorny with other people when Nezumi is around. I suppose she’s having a hard time learning to share the attention of her little sister with other people.”
Finally having enough time to do so, the analyst finally called the phone number placed on the voucher she had been given.

Or the longer it takes, the more likely she’ll end up breaking something.
Now whether it was something of value or their own bones didn’t matter, it probably could’ve been both. Learning was half the issue, the second was what would happen if the sporadic child got her hands on the ability to fly. Unlike Ichi, Lily seemed more excited about the prospect of flying, no matter how long it took to learn.
“Yes, yes! Then I could fly around everywhere! I could fly around with Nezumi, maybe I’d keep her in my backpack to be safe though...”
