Mysterylover Watches Bleach episode 355 “Hime Gets Donuts and a Tsundere”

1. We join Urahara and Ichidad as they talk about Ichigo’s future. Decide the fate of our hero, dudes. 

2. RUKIA!!!! OMG RUKIA’S BACK GUYS I DID NOT EXPECT THIS RUKIA!!!! OUR LEADING LADY SHINIGAMI HAS RETURNED

3. Back in Video Game Land Ichi’s sword gets broken and itl ooks like the bad guy’s gonna win. I’m sure that he will indeed die here and the other 400 or whatever chapters are about Ruki and Hime dueling monsters in revenge.

4. ORIHIME IS HERE!! Another leading lady arriving to help s ave the day. The villain calls her hte “healing item”, which I guess is true, though given the extent of her powers I feel like Hime can be so, so much more than that. 

5. Hime goes to heal Ichi and Chad shows up and apparently he set this up. Dude that’s the smart move should’ve done that from the beginning. But apparently he ‘didn’t want to get her involved’. Eye roll. 

6. Oh and Chad got hurt by the villain dude too. Damn he really has it out for Ichigo’s friends. I think. LOL I don’t know I’m not sure what his plan is.

7. Villain dude: What’s taking so long? Hime: DON’T RUSH MY PROCESS. Roughly paraphrased.

8. FYEAH HIME JUST OWNED THIS AHOLEWITH A NEW ATTACK SHIELD THING. OUR GIRL IS FINALLY TAKING ON ANOTHER VILLAIN!!

9. Hime’s been training her ass off it seems just in case more shinigami trouble came their way. That’s our girl. LOL Ichi did you really think you were the only one with superpowers?

10. Of  course being Hime she heals the villain too. And we get a cute IchiHIme moment where he’s grateful for her help and she smiles.

11. WE get some fun banter between Orihime and Pigtails over the intercom. I’m relieved there hasn’t been too much fighting over Ichi between these two. 

12. GIVE ORIHIME A CHAIR DAMMIT. Oh and she finally gets to eat all the donuts she wants BTW. 

13. Hime and PIgtails are eating donuts and bonding over Orihime’s backstory as she talks about how her parents were apparently abusive shits and her brother - who I still remember, BTW, more than half the random guards from last arc - saved her from them.

14. I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW. And Pigtails is asking her how she’s so smiley. We’re getting honest character development here.

15. Pigtails - whose name is Riruka - is having such a moment with Hime right now. Hime is calling her a nice person and she’s blushing and baka-ing at her. Well we can now check Redhead Tsundere off of the Orihime Harem checklist. 

16. DAMN THE OTHER DUDE CUT ICHI’S FREAKING EYES OMG. THAT’S GOTTA HURT.

17. The dudes are like no hime don’t heal him let him fight without eyesight he’ll be fine manliness and all. 

18. OK THESE ASSHOLES LOCKED HIME IN A CAGE TO STOP HER FROM HEALING ICHI THEY ARE OFFICIALLY ON MY SHIT LIST.

19. We end with Ichigo having a powersplosion, a sword in the gut, and apparently reaching fullbring. Boom just like that.

20. LOL I know I said I was gonna speed things up and here I took anohter full episode. I can’t help it guys there’s so much weirdness to comment on.

Mysterylover Watches Bleach Episode 362 "The Gang's All Here"

1. Oh EFF YEAH A GOOD OLD FASHIONED ICHIGO POWER UP SEQUENCE WE'RE BACK YA'LL

2. And as usual Ichi kicking the crap outta the asshole villain of the story arc is really cathartic and satisfying.

3. Though the choreography and powers on this fight aren't exactly all that exciting. I mean, after Aizen's mega powered monologuing I guess everyone's gonna seem underwhelming.

4. RENJI'S HERE TOO! DAMMIT I MISSED YOUR SMEXY SMIRK. GODD TO SEE YA AGAIN.

5. Ooh so this is an "all your powers combined" kinda deal? That's one of my favorite action movie tropes. Noice.

6. AND HITSU TOO. I MISSED ALL YOU SOUL REAPER CREW SO MUCH LET'S MAKE THE NEXT ARC ALL ABOUT YOU GUYS AGAIN.

7. Blah blahblah backstory on kugo villain dude blah blah whatever let's just get to the part where Ichigo kicks the crap outta him

8. RukiBro (who is also here!) apparently agrees with me and is equally done with Villain Dude's shit. ILU RUKIBRO.

9. Hime meanwhile is upset that Ichigo has turned on her very bestest of all bestest buddies Kugo. I guess I should be happy he only made her think they were buddies instead of writing a "Reader X Orihime" AU fic for himself.

10. Hime makes it to the scene while angsting about Ichigo crying. Damn I bet this arc is not gonna be fun for her.

11. OH NAH HE TOOK ORIHIME'S BROTHER'S RESCUING HER AWAY FROM HER OH HELL NO.

12. And he's screwing with their minds even more and they look really upset. Thank god Ura gets here in time to help them.

13. Ura apparently planned for him to overload them and potentially knock them out. Genius plan Ura. (Sarcasm)

14. And pigtails and the others are getting power ups. We're gonna get a big group fight!

15. The villains are continuing to be rather boring, but at this point I'm headcanoning that they're just an excuse to get Rukia back.

16. We do then get our big mass battle with lots of Shinigami action and stabbing. I'm just realizing now that this is the third arc in a row that benched Hime during the big fight. Dammit.

17. Pigtails vs Rukia? Renji against Boots lady? Those fights I'm into, though I bet they'll be pretty onesided. Pigtails has yet to do anything Rukia levels if badass.

18. And we end with a guy getting cut in freaking half. GODDAMN.

Updates for Fans of Mysterylover’s Blog

Hi ya’ll!

So in the name of time management, I’ve got a few announcements.

First, for fans of Bleach: I’ve decided I’m going to wait for the new anime to start to experience the Thousand Year Blood War arc. I’m thinking since it’s current I can be with the zeitgeist that way and be surprised as the eps come out.

Second, for MHA fans: I’m going to try to move my manga reactions to Sundays, when the chapters come out. I’ll try to avoid spoilers until then to stay fresh!

Mysterylover watches Bleach episodes 271-272: “So That’s Why People Ship Ulquihime”

1. 271′s title: “Ichigo dies”. Checks episode count. “Um, yeah. Sure.”  Anyway Ulqui is all like “Look Hime I’m totally gonna kill Ichigo I’m serious, I’m totally gonna kill the main character less than 300 episodes in.

2. He does do a good job of making it look that way though, as he blows a freaking hole straight through Ichi’s chest. He sure likes to blow holes in chests.

3. Gee if only Ichigo had a love interest who could TURN BACK TIME WITH HER WILL. She immediately proceeds to save him with her awesome shield powers, though Ulqui stops her 

4. Thankfully Ichi’s other love interest is there to distract him while Hime does her thing. Noice job Uryuu, you’re killing it this arc. 

5. I’m pretty sure Ichi really is dead right now (since after all we have a Time Reversal Heroine, so Only Mostly Dead is all good.) 

6. DAMN ULQUI GETS UP CLOSE TO URYU AND MAYBE TAKES HIS ARM OFF. Anyway poor freaking Hime has to look at Ichi’s corpse and since she doesn’t know he’s the Main Character of a Shonen anime, she thinks he’s really gone.

7. Meanwhile the Battle of the Bishonens continues to rage. You know, this whole arc reminds me of the Overhaul arc from MHA a bunch (or obviously since Bleach came first that means MHA was cribbing from Bleach, duh). Hime is Eri, Ulqui is Overhaul, Ichi as Deku, etc. 

8. Anyway waiting for our poor truamatized heroine to pull that Backpack Healer 100% mode sometime soon. 

9. Apparently Ichi can hear Hime while dead and with a freaking hole in his chest. That’s some shippy stuff there. Anyway Ichi’s all awakened and shit and it looks pretty badass. THIS WASN’T EVEN HIS FINAL FORM. Also now he and Hime have matching hair!

10. Battle of the sexy demons now ensues with Skullface Ichi battling BatWings Ulqui in imagery ripped from Night on Bald Mountain. 

11. Ichigo’s bisexual harem follow the fight, sadly with only commentary and no cheerleader outfits. 

12. Ichi actually beats Ulqui and prepares to kill him. I wonder if he’s gonna stop himself, or if Hime’s gonna intervene? 

13. WTF we’re cutting back to Rukia?! OK Ruki I give you half the episode tops I need to get back to learn my Smexy Villain Crush’s fate. 

14. Well at least we get some RenRuki fllrting out of it. I’m always good for that.

15.  OH BUT LOOK the IchiUlqui fight is intruding on the RukiRen stuff. Anyway Hime protected herself and Uryuu thank god. So we get Ichi blowing a hole in Ulquis chest. Tit for tat lol.

16. OOH URYUU STOPS HIM!! Option #3! URYU GETS TO DO THE WHOLE “IF YOU KILL HIM I’LL LOSE YOU” THING TO ICHI. Cause he’s Ichi’s love interest, duh. 

17. OH SHIT ICHI’S SO FAR GONE HE SMACKED ISHIDA. But Hime’s voice actually gets his attention, good. Yas Ichi obey Hime’s voice she is your commander.

18. OH SHIT HIME BLAMES HERSELF NO HONEY DON’T!!!  Are you a Shonen hero if you’re not blaming yourself for other people hlping you. 

19. Anyway Ulqui’s fine and he cuts Ichi’s cool new horn mask thing. And DAYUM Ichi the long hair is GOOD on you, Actually pretty. 

20. HOLY SHIT what is that look on Ulquiorra’s face!? Regret? Remorse? What? Anyway some hole in the sky heals Ichigo out of nowhere. Well good at least he’s not “dead”. 

21. We get a brief Touching Reunion between Ichi and Hime before he notices Ulqui’s hurt and has a Shonen Love Interest Hurt Freak out about it.  Anyway Ulqui has decided to start talking again. And now he and Ichi are both shirtless. 

22. Ichigo is feeling bad that he stabbed enemies and friends alike. And ASKS ULQUIORRA TO CUT OFF HIS ARM AND LEG. WTF ICHIGO? That may be the single stupidest most reckless thing I’ve EVER heard a Shonen lead say and THAT IS QUITE AN ACCOMPLISHMENT.

23. HIME URYU YOU TWO BETTER SMACK SOME SENSE INTO THIS IDIOT. Anyway They get interrupted by something and Ulqui says “kill me”. OMG damn Ulqui that’s DARK.

24. Ichi refuses. Damn WTF is up with you Ichigo. Even Ulqui looks weirded out by this. Damn is he really dying?

25. He looks over at hime and says “I was getting interested in you people”. LOL have you fallen for Hime now too Ulqui? It’s ok, get in line.

26. We get an angsty series of Ulquihime flashbacks as he’s dying. Lots of which involve touching her chest. 

27. He reaches out to her and asks “are you afraid of me”. Hime of course ain’t afraid of nothing. He gets to die looking into Hime’s eyes? Damn what a way to go out dude! And she grabs for his hand before it dissolves too. HOLY CRAP those are some serious shipping vibes these two are giving off all of a sudden. Right on the guy’s deathbed too. Timing dude!

Mysterylover Watches Bleach Episodes 310-342 "Our Leads are All Grown Up"

1. Man, interesting how the OP plays differently now that we know what so many of those cuts mean. Like why Rangi is crying onto Gin. Dammit Ichi why couldn't you have been like five minutes earlier.

2. Damn so much destruction to the city now. Anyway we get some confirmation that Una has saved the Blonde Twins or hopefully has. That's nice.

3. And Kenny and RukiBro are OK too! Kenny reunites with Tiny Pink Shinigami - Yachiru, that's her name. Yay! But those antics end as we cut to Ichigo.

4. Ichi and Ura get to talk and apparently Ichi's friends know the truth now, thank god. No more Memory modification spells.

5. And Ichi's bummed because he gave up his powers. i feel you man, anyone would be. But hey at least you saved us from more Aizen monologuing! (for now).

6. Ichi is theorizing that Aizen just gave up. And feeling bad for him. Because are you a real shonen hero if you aren't feeling bad for the supervillain?

7. ORIHIME!!!!!! And the whole crew is here!! Ruki Renji Chad and Uryuu too!!!

8.Orihime is like "YOU GOT A FAB HAIRCUT I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE YOU" and Rukia is grinning at her like "that's my girl". Ichigo then falls over. Orihime hurry up and heal him.

9. Dammit we're cutting away to something else. OOH AIZEN'S GETTING SENTENCED TO PRISON AND WHAT?! I thought he was sealed up dammit now he can monologue more. Which he IMMEDIATELY does.

10. Anyway we cut over to poor Rangi who looks depressed. Gee I wonder why. Eff you Aizen. Also Hitsuu who is very very cold. And Rangi has a sad Gin montage. To stab me in the feels. And she says THE L WORD OMG.

11. BACK TO ICHIGO AND THE CREW. Thank God. They're at Rukia's place. And Ichi's been out 10 days holy crap. And yup they all know he gave up his powers.

12. Oh and his hair is shorter now. Rukia exposits about what's happening. He'l pass out again and then lose the powers for good. Darn that's rough buddy.

13. But he's dealing with it! Yay that's our protag. He's just happy everyone made it out ok. And Uryuu's like "bae you're gonna lose your powers that is not ok"

14. Ichi's just taking it like a pro. Damn he's so mature. Proud of this guy. And now he wants to see all their friends. Like the mature, kindhearted shonen lead he is. Holy crap.

15. 342 HAS A NEW OP! Which I think has to do with the filler arc I skipped over. But hey, new oP! Anywy the filler arc I skipped appears to be part of this episode so I'm just gonna skip it and try to guess where the filler ends and canon begins.

16. OK seems to be the end of episode 342. We go back to the room we left behind at the end of 310. And the Crew is looking sadly at Ichi as he loses his powers.

17. And he says Rukia's presence is fading away. That's depressing. Without his pressure he can't see dead people anymore. So they have to say goodbye.

18. Ruki is a tsundere about it. And tries to cheer him up by promising to stalk him. OH SHIT SHE REALLY IS DISAPPEARING.

19. Wait Hime and the others can still see her right? DAMN THO THIS IS SAD.

20. And we end on Ichi staring at nothing. DAYUM THAT'S DEPRESSING. And a sad Rukia montage. BUT SHE'S NOT DEAD OR ANYTHING THOUGH BUT WHATEVER LET'S HAVE A FRIENDSHIP MONTAGE OF ICHIGO AND RUKI GOOFING OFF.

21. So yes I am going to see the next arc! People were asking about that. I'm fine with seeing what comes next. This was a good arc, but there's still, in my opinion, loose threads open. Aizen's not dead yet and I'm sure he's itching to get back to monologuing. The supporting characters have yet to have closure on their arcs - Rukia kinda has, but Uryu and Hime haven't. And now Tatsuki knows! I wanna see that world, where Tatsuki's part of Team Ichigo. So yep, still needing closure on Bleach, not gonna stop now.

22. And also, thinking about this arc. I think it was good, but definitely overlong and needed to give some more closure to the Arrancars. (WHERE THE HELL IS GRIMMJOW?! OR Nel for that matter). So hopefully we'll see that going forward. Onto the next arc!

Mysterylover Watches Bleach Episodes 353 "Pigtails, Meet Hime"

1. Right off the bat we have Ichigo back in dark robes and with a sword! Yeah that feels like Bleach.

2. We get our basic Shonen fight where the hero gives it his all and the villain just catches his sword.

3. Just when the villain is getting into a good monologue his sidekick shows up to give Ichigo a harder time.

4. And now our main character has been turned into a black square. Um ok. This arc is so weird.

5. OK I see Ichigo is now trapped in a video game. That's pretty much what this whole arc feels like. Bleach does Wreck-it-ralph.

6. And apparently the villains are now playing Ichigo's weird Video Game. These two vs Chad apparently for Ichigo's Soul

7. The villain Duo and Chad trade blows for a little while. It's your basic back and forth and honestly not too exciting. I'm really missing Hime and Rukia right about now.

8. Oh, and apparently Ichigo's game is done cooking or whatever. Some gauge on the game box fills up. It's all very bizarre.

9. Pigtails is back! Thank goodness I needed my usual dose of Bleach Ladies Running around and kicking ass. She's saving Ichi's but, I think at least.

10. What's happening with Sado?! Damn Ichi's friends dropping left and right now.

11. OH SPEAKING OF! We finally check back in with Uryu and Orihime. Thank God I was worried the plot had abandoned them.

12. They go through some exposition and seem to have figured out what's going on. You two need to get on that now so Ichigo can get out of the video game or whatever it is.

13. Thankfully the weird cast has gotten Ichigo out of the game already. OK well that felt pointless.

14. After a lot of exposition that I really don't followe we cut back to Hime. She and Uryu have hashed out what's going on and Chad finally brings her in on the plot. Thank God now we've got the time reversing goddess on our side the plot should hopefully pick up the pace a bit.

15. And back to Ichigo and the fullbringers playing video games. Man they're just like all teenage boys.

16. OOH but now Pigtails is meeting Hime! Please be best gal pals I'm missing all the lady friends from the last arc.

17. Hime owns the whole ep of course as she sassily states she's over her issues with healing and ready to have Ichi's back. FYEAH that's our girl.

18. We end with Hime joining the video game and a little bit with Urahara. Wow that was a lot in one episode ya'll.

Mysterylover watches Bleach episodes 308-309 "I'm So High on Ichigo Right Now"

1. Recap! Time. Previously on Bleach: Gin killed Aizen and it was AMAZING. Sadly Aizen proceeds to lose his shit and sadly is apparently Not Dead. WHY. WON'T. YOU. DIE.

2. Butterfly Aizen proceeds to stab Gin, who flashes back to Poetry Symbolism with Rangi, while the girl in question wakes up.

3. I just realized all 3 major beats of this arc involved an Espada/Lieutenant of Aizen (Nel/Ulqui/Gin) being moved by a redheaded hero (Ichi/Orihime/Rangiku). Parallels!

4. Dammit looks like Aizen really did kill Gin and it was All According to Keikaku. I can't believe I got my hopes up for a minute that someone finally axed off this asshole. Aizen, death and taxes are all inevitable.

5. Holy shit Gin did all this for Rangi? damn. And now he's dying in front of her? That's just cruel. Aizen you just killed Gin and made Rangi cry I've officially had it with you.

6. Ichigo's here, finally. Please do your MC duty and kill off this asshole Ichi. Also Ichi has longer hair and a boob shirt, so he's clearly trying to dress like Rangi now.

7. Anyway Ichi's here and Tatsuki says she can't 'sense' him. And GIn's not dead yet and says Ichi's good enough to beat Aizen now! Yay fucking finally.

8. ICHI CUTS AIZEN OFF MID MONOLOGUE AND SLAMS HIM INTO THE DIRT FAR AWAY FUCK YEAH THAT'S OUR PROTAG.

9.Their sword slashes are breaking mountains. Thankfully Ichi looks completely indifferent to Aizen's BS right now. Aizen brags he can win and Ichi catches his fucking sword with his bare hands. FUCK YES.

10. Aizen traps Ichi in Big Long Name Prison and Ichi breaks through in like 2 seconds. YESSSSSSSSS. If he finally shuts Aizen up then from this point on I swear my fealty to our MC.

11. ALSO DID ICHI JUST DEKU HIS LEFT ARM?! Anyway Ichi continues throwing Aizen's BS in his face and I am LIVING for it.

12. Anyway Aizen has his 3rd act breakdown and turns into the typical Disney Villain Lovecraft form.

13. And Ichigo continues to be awesome, giving him a "THAT ALL YOU GOT?" Ichigo then proceeds to say "I've grown sick of your arguments". YOU'RE AS SICK OF HIS MONOLOGUING AS I AM AREN'T YOU ICHI!!

14. Did Ichi just pull a "THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM" on Aizen?! THAT'S AMAZING.

15. Anyway we cut to Ichi in Watery land getting stabbed by NotIchi. WOW THIS IS SO JUNGIAN OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. So yes back in present this was not in fact Ichi's final form.

16. And Ichi's final form will apparently result in him losing his soul reaper powers. OMG. I get it. "This is my final Smash". I am very proud of our young hero and only sorry he has no Kacchan to share his OFA with and become the best version of himself.

17. AND THAT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH TO BEAT AIZEN ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME JUST FREAKING DIE ALREADY

18. URAHARA OUT OF LEFT FIELD THOUGH FINALLY SEALING AIZEN UP FOR GOOD OMGGGGGGG!!!! Also as an aside, all 3 are now pretty and half shirtless again. Battle of the Low-Cut Man Shirts.

19. And the seal cuts Aizen off Mid Final Monologue Oh Yeeeessss sweet justice.

20. AND JUST LIKE THAT THE ARC IS DONE OMG. We cut to all my ladies smiling in relief (Orihime and Rukia get to appear for a frame or two FINALLY) and the sad music is telling me THIS. ARC. IS. IN THE BOOOKS!!!!

Mysterylover watches Bleach episodes 243-244 "Goofball Hime Returns!"

1. NEW OP! The highlights of this one include a look at our stylishly dressed and sexy new cast of villains, and a hero lineup that includes a badass Orihime wielding some kind of weapon. Sadly, none of the Soul Reaper characters. I'm sure they'll return eventually, but I guess this is the Humans Only arc.

2. OOH, Ichi reveals there's been a time skip and he's now a senior! And Hime and Chad revealed to everyone that Ichi's a superhero, so no more secret identity crap. Except he doesn't have a secret id anymore. OK...

3. OOH and Ichi's sisters are getting powers now! Cool, are they gonna fight this arc? AND IS THAT TATSUKI WHAT'S UP WITH YOUR HAIR GIRL?!

4. Ooh and Uryuu's back in focus since he's the only one with powers left. And Ichi's missing Rukia, who - DAMMIT - hasn't showed up to visit her other human friends. Seriously Ruki?

5. OOH and we're dealing with high school stuff. And Ichigo gets good grades? I didn't know that. So he's not the classic, bottom of the class Shonen hero IQ? COOL.

6. "I'm enjoying my quiet retirement" Ichi basically says. Oh damn dude you know that's an invite to IMMEDIATELY have it ripped apart. In film speak that's like saying "DESTROY ME PLOT"

7. And Ichi's still a tough badass, even without superpowers, so he beats up a purse snatcher like the superhero he is. THAT'S OUR ICHI.

8. Though apparently the guy whose purse he saved is evil or something. DAMMIT PLOT HE HAD 3 DAYS LEFT TILL RETIREMENT

9. Tatsuki has a part time job at the dojo! And OOH YES THERE'S MY GIRL FINALLY!! ORIHIME, who struts down the hall like a goddess who everone she passes immediately falls for. And she's got longer hair and she comes in by rolling down a pole!! Tatsuki reprimands her.

10. OMG TATSUHIME IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER. And Ichigo is officially attempting to join their OT3. I legit enjoy all 3 corners of this trio now.

11. ORIHIME IS GETTING TO BE WHACKY AND ECCENTRIC AGAIN. I've missed eccentric Orihime, she's been through so much crap recently we haven't gotten to see her goofing around. And Ichi highlights that her "eyes now look like #3". LOL THIS IS HILARIOUS I LOVE IT.

12. "boss" So Ichigo has a job? And he immediately gets fired. Or quits. And then a gigantic thug team shows up to...threaten him? URYUU SHOWS UP TO THREATEN THEM LIKE A BAMF.

13. And it appears our new villains' boss is a sexy maid. NOICE. And Ichi and Uryuu are bickering about how to handle the thugs in 244. (just kiss already). OOH URYUU IS CLASS REP? I DIDN'T KNOW THAT.

14. This really is my week for shipping Shonen heroes with their glasses clad, class rep BFFs.

15. And they get beaten up by a BAMF SEXY LADY WHO IS ICHIGO'S NEW BOSS OMG I'M IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT WHO ARE YOU SEXY BOSS LADY?! YOU REMIND ME OF IZUMI CURTIS.

16. So we meet Ichigo's boss and determine what his job is. It is very strange. His boss apparently has kids and she is able to flop from sexy badass to loving mom in an instant. I LOVE HER.

17. HER NAME IS IKUMI? Screw I'm just calling her Izumi. THIS IS WHAT COMES OF BINGING FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST AGAIN. Everyone is FMA.

22. Orihime comes by his window with bread and is now in Ichi's room feeling awkward. "LOL HIME YOU'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE" says Ichi. Oh, do tell? Also Hime and Ichi are now comfortable bickering a little, which is definitely making me ship them hard.

23. Hime asks if he's being stalked. And Ichi tells her it's ok that she's so inquisitive. Uryu is stalking them and annoyed apparently that Hime is stealing his boyfriend. Then follows our new villain stalker off to see what's up. AND OMG URYU DON'T BE DEAD!!

Mysterylover Watches Bleach Episode 361 "MY GIRL IS HERE!!!!!!!!!"

1. So yep Ichigo's really been stabbed. Shonens sure love getting impaled, don't they?

2. We get a lot of the villains babbling about All According to Keikaku or not or something and I wish they'd just shut up so the arc can get moving.

3. Andwe get tons of back and forth as to whether or not Villain Dude's Self-Insert AU Fic powers were used on Ichigo. You got them monologuing, Ichigo, I can't believe it.

4. Also you know while you're monologuing Ichigo is bleeding and shit? Probably dying? Hello? Medical help? Dammit wheres Real Orihime when you need her.

5. LOL I'm so confused why do the fullbringers seem to think this is a good thing? Did Villain Dude get them too? Did I miss something?

6. So Uryu is asking was this all according to Keikaku or not? Apparently? They were trying to screw over Ichi from the start? I ask why?

7. OK what I'm getting is that the villains planned this whole arc in order to backstab Ichi. Seems like you could've just snuck up on him and stabbed him whenever, dudes. But OK.

8. And EW now Villain dude is stealing Ichi's powers. HIs new powers I guess. Yikes man.

9. Naturally Ichi gets to respond with appropriate Shounen ANGST. With rain and everything. DAMN.

10. We get a dramatic inner monologue with Ichi finally deciding he wants to make his mom proud at least. LOL he's so dramatic. I mean it's appropriate to the situation but still.

14. And Ichi is too! All Shinigami'd again! Robes and everything! It's lke the first episode all over.

15. And Ruki is scolding him. Why does she always have to pick up after him is the basic gist. I LOVE HER.

16. There's a lot of plotspotion as to how this is possible but I don't really care. Bottom line Ichi's powers are back, Ruki's back, and Bleach is truly back.

17. And we get lots of big flashy shounen attacks as ichi fights villain dude again, shinigami mode this time, and it's awesome. HE CHANGED THE WEATHER. THIS IS ALL MIGHT LEVEL SHIT YA'LL.

1. So we're apparently starting a new Training Arc right at the climax of the Villain arc? Huh. That's a weird choice, pacing-wise. Anyway it's a Hyperbolic Time Chamber kinda deal so we should be ok.

2. We get a lot of lecturing about technical shinigami training terms from IchiDad. I assume that this will all make sense eventually but right now I am wondering "Will this be on the test?"

3. Over in Karakura Town For Reals we are reunited with TATSUKI!!!! OMG I've missed my girl Tatsuki soo much I thought you were joining this arc Tatsu get on that!

4. We follow up with more ichiTraining. I swear to god Ichi does nothing but train.

5. Then back to Tatsuki, as she escorts her Utter Shithead Pervert sidekick squad around Empty Karakura town. Aizen and Gin arrive. Ya'll better not hurt my girl Tatsuki, I will mentally END you.

6. Ichi goes into water and meets a really pretty dark haired dude in a cloak. Who is apparently Ichigo's sword thing Zangetsu. Huh. Wha?

7. Ichi and Zang duel for a bit, I have no idea how that works. AND THEN OH SHIT AIZEN HAS SPOTTED TATSUKI OH NO

8. We spend more time then watching Ichigo dueling his mental world thing again and it's cool looking and all but DAMMIT I WANNA KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING TO MY GIRL TATSUKI

9. Tatsu and Keigo are chatting to deliver some exposition about Other Sidekick whose name I don't remember's friendship with Ichigo.

10. AND AIZEN SPOTS THEM AND IS LIKE "WOW THIS CHICK SEEMS COOL NICE TO MEET YOU I AM MAIN VILLAIN", holy shit that cliffhanger!!!

11. Sadly 306 then cuts back to more IchiTraining. Dammit Ichigo I know you're the MC but you can't leave me hanging like that!

12. So yada yada yada I AM YOUR HOLLOWFIED FORM yes yes embrace your inner looney-ness from fighting Ulqui I get it.

13. BACK TO AIZEN MEETING TATSUKI! Sadly before Tatsuki can whoop out hidden badass powers and clean Aizen's slate, some other dude I don't remember shows up. I'm just gonna call him Not!MR Satan because that's exactly who he is.

14. Not!Mr Satan fights Aizen for like two minutes, but obviously This Does Nothing. Because it's Aizen and nothing will. Fortunatley for NotSatan he's saved by MY GIRL RANGIKU!!

15. And then more Ichigo Training. I'm sorry if fans are hoping I'll react dramatically to this, because I tend to find anime training arcs kinda repetitive.

16. I'm noticing all the dudes in this show underestimate the badass ladies, who thankfully just ignore them. LET RANGIKU HANDLE THIS NOT!SATAN.

17. Tatsuki, who has a thing for beautiful and busty redheads, spends a lot of time gushing over Rangiku. Orihime has some competition it seems.

18. Sadly before Rangiku can kick Aizen's ass, Gin drags her off so they can finally explain to me why they're apparently a ship.

19. Gin asks her why she's here and she says she wants to know why he Turned to the Dark Side and all. He does not in fact answer her question but instead tries to kill her. Um ok. Well Ulquiorra and Orihime basically started this way so let's assume more stuff is on the way.

20. Tatsuki is unfortunately saddled with NotMrSatan being douchey, so on her behalf I apologize. Anyway Rangi appears to have been defeated by Gin and Ichigo is, big shock, still training.

Mysterylover Watches Bleach Episode 359-60 "Villain Dude's Fanfic self-insert AU"

1. This episode's title intrigues me. Ichigo is gonna fight HIme and Chad? HELL YESS LET'S SEE THIS 'I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE SOMEWHERE FIGHT' SETUP

2. We actually start with some Urahara and some Ichi yelling at his mentor.

3. We finally also get some exposition about the Villain Dude;s powers. Basically memory alteration from a magic book, as you do.

4. Bleach does Evil Dead basically. Ichigo and his mentor whose name I haven't really memorized, and who isn't interesting enough for a nickname, have to save the day.

5. And they're even confronting him in a creepy old mansion? This is officially a Scooby Doo episode.

6. The gang's all here! I'm going to headcanon that the villain's real motive is the have Hime Chad and Tatsuki for his besties. That I can relate to.

7. Ah damn Ichi's fighting Villain dude? Boo I was promised heartbreaking Ichi vs BFFs battles.

8. So this guy's human, right? I think this'll be the first time Ichi has to kill another human. That got dark.

9. OH FINALLY HERE THEY ARE! Chad and Hime break in to defend their new Bestie of all Time, Villain Dude.

10. We then get a montage of Villain Dude's self-insert fanfic au where he's part of Bleach's plot. LOL that is my headcanon for this now.

11. Oh Pigtails is Ok? I must've missed something I thought villain dude took her out.

12. We then clarify that yes indeed, Villain Dude's powers actually ARE self-insert au fanfic. That is my official name for his powers.

13. Oh we also get more of our much needed Ladies Kicking ass as Pigtails and Dirty Boots power are also having a fight while Hime is fighting Ichi.

14. The latter fight is indeed going on, though I wish it was a one-on-one with Ichi and Hime. That idea just sounds so cool. Our two main-ish characters, who've had their friendship as a plot point throughout the whole series, going head to head.

15. Ichi and Whatshisface are now teamed up against our trinity of antagonists. I really wish someone more interesting was helping him. Like Pigtails.

16. Whoa apparently Whatshisface is turning on Ichi. Fortunately Ichi's kinda boyfriend is here to back him up.

17. And Whatshisface stabbed Ichi in the chest. I'm sure he's dead and the rest of hte manga is just Hime Chad and Rukia mourning him.

Mysterylover watches Bleach Episode 346 "Everyone Wants Ichigo Now Apparently"

1. So to recap, Folks are getting attacked and Ichi is frustrated that there's nothing he can do. So he calls a weird number.

2. This arc sure is different. Like we've flipped over into a completely different genre. From Shonen to Spy Thriller.

3. Over at school Hime brings us the news that something's up with Chad in the most...Orihime way possible. And she also has developed the "jumping out the window" shonen ability.

4. Ichi blows her off when she attempts to invite him to visit Chad with her. What's up with you Ichi-grumpy pants?

5. I'll admit I don't really like Orihime's redesign. She's mostly just drawn a little older and with bigger boobs, but the redesign makes her look too One-Piece girl for my comfort. Though she totally rocked that jumper last episode. This design needs baggy clothes.

6. Anyway since Hime actually cares about the plot she's checking in on Chad to try and investigate what's up and remembering the threats Uryu-dad made.

7. Ichi meets up with Mysterious New Human Villain at night so they can have a Serious Plot Talk in really moody green lighting.

8. Ichi gets taken to their secret lair (Am I safe in assuming these guys are villains? They're drawn to look like villains but so far they seem to be helping Ichi out. I dunno, just a vibe

9. OOH, they're gonna get him his Soul Reaper powers back! OMG!! Didn't see THAT Coming!

10. Anyway Pigtail Maid Villain is here and throwing a temper tantrum at her minion, who she proceeds to punch in the chest and hurt her hand. How random.

11. Aaand back to Ichigo and the bombshell he just heard. He responds by threatening the guy who might be able to help him.

12. The guy takes Ichi drinking, which makes me wonder what the drinking age is in Japan. Anyway Ichi is apparently being introduced to the Origins of Quirks. (human based superpowers)

13. This guy can apparently turn booze green and make it dance. Huh. Must make him a hit at raves. Anyway more specifically he controls stuff the "soul" of an object.

14. So telekinesis basically. And apparently booze has a soul. That's....creepy. So are there like soul reapers for booze? Rukia's Booze Reaper buddies?

15. And apparently these guys can walk on water with this power. It sounds kinda like these guys all have similar powers to Orihime, but less cool than hers.

16. FULLBRING, so that's why this is called the Fullbringer arc! I was curious. Anyway Maid Girl is finally here.

17. We get her name but I'm still calling her Pigtail Maid. Oh and Chad's with her! And he looks creepy but hey maybe that makes this a little more legit.

18. Or even less so. Is Ichi freaking out about this cause Orihime was worried? I wonder, it seems like an unusually extreme reaction for hime and that's the only explanation the episode has given.

19. Pigtail Maid apparently finds Ichigo really really hot. Ichi must be working something this arc, that's two girls in one episode swooning over him. Didn't used to do that...did he do something with his hair or something?

20. I mean last arc he was running around buff and shirtless half the time and no girls were swooning then. And he looks not really different this arc. Anyway they're expositing about why Hollows have holes in their hearts, which is kinda poetic.

21. Anyway we get a long exposition speech that amounts to "another dude has hollow + soul reaper powers and you can swap". I think. It's long.

22. Anyway Ichigo cares more about what's up with his friends than getting his powers back. YAS THAT'S OUR PROTAGONIST. You go be a hero now.

1. So we pick up again with Ichigo fighting the giant pig. This is a thing that is still happening.

2. Ichi, it seems, needs to call on the feelings he ties to his Soul Reaper Badge to unlock his Final Form.

3. We cut away to Hime leaving Chad some bread. Man Hime just looks after everyone huh.

4. WHO IS THAT FOLLOWING MY GIRL KICK HIS ASS HIME

5. And we go back to Ichigo continuing to fight the giant pig. Damn this is so weird.

6. Ichi is actually having trouble fighting the giant pig. Aizen was a cakewalk compared to this guy apparently.

7. Everyone's fanboying over Ichigo again. Dude didnt take long to gain a fandom here, no matter where he goes it happens.

8. And Ichi finally defeats Pork and unlocks his Super saiyan thing! OK good go help Hime with whatever this is.

9. Pigtails lets Ichi back up to normal size! Yay, no more fighting pork. I guess?

10. WHOA WTF RUKIA?! RUKIA'S VOICE ON ICHIGO'S BADGE!? She's asking what he's done. So is this really her? Ichi imagining her? A ploy? I still don't trust these shifty jerks so maybe they've trapped Ichi in something bad.

11. So back to Hime and the guy following her. A lot of sexist nonsense follows where he apparently wants to fight her to prove his manhood but can't because she's too pretty. Le sigh.

12. This keeps going. He's like "youre so pretty I can't fight you" and Hime, who has better things to do but is still very nice, is all like "ok dude."

13. OOH he revealed he hurt Uryuu all bets are off! Hime's mad now. Go rewind this asshole Hime.

14. But Uryu's real attacker shows up. Ok someone fight someone already.

15. Back at Ichigo's training grounds Ponytail doesn't want him to train over night so apparently he has to wait a bit. WTF is going on already?!

16.BACK WITH HIME AND THE ACTUAL PLOT. So Uryu attacker guy wants to fight and kill Hime.

17. But first h goes after Hime's stalker, and nice girl Hime jumps in the way and makes him stop, because she's so nice. And he'si mpressed.

18. OOH BUT HIME IS LIKE NAH BITCH I'M NOT DOING THIS TO BE NICE I'M DOING IT TO TAKE. YOU. DOWN.

1. So Ichi did you agree to get your powers back? Y/N? What's the deal here? Anyway Chad and Probably a Villain are talking about Ichi's reaction

2. Another hot lady villain pops up to object to the plans about restoring Ichi's powers or something. She seems to know Chad. And Pigtail is mad and being a Tsundere about Ichi.

3. A guy with a chain on his chest is having a heart attack in a parking lot. Huh. Spooky.

4. Some spooky guy with a book is monologuing about life and stuff and kills chains guy. OK is this the villain for the arc?

5. Pigtails is now stalking Ichigo. Apparently. So back to Uryuu's hospital room

6. Orihime is visiting him with a bag filled with about a billion movies. YES HIME. YOU ARE STILL THE BEST.

7. Hime is here to ask and presumably figure out what's going on in the plot. Apparently she and Uryuu BOTH have a 6th Ichigo sense.

8. Hime will take care of this Uryuu don't you worry your pretty little head about Hime. SHE CAN REWIND TIME DUDE

9. Pigtails is not a very competent stalker. Ichi's gonna see her. Anyway Hime catches up with Ichi and hopefully will protect our newly damselified protag.

10. Pigtails seems jealous of Hime because of course she is. Ichi must be SO confused RN.

11. Anyway we finally get some introspection from our lead as he runs to dramatically pick up his Soul Reaper badge from the river. Metaphorically at least.

12. Lots of Ichi brooding shots follow as he thinks back on the events of the last few episodes. Conflict!

13. His sisters are really mad at him because he isn't eating apparently. Major grade depression there.

14. He's apparently blowing off the chance to get his powers back. Dayum.

15. Ichi is now eating with his sisters which is good. And decides to lie to them about possibly meeting someone.

16. Chad why are you so sinister now. I'm so convinced those guys are shifty.

17. Chad reminds Ichi of their old promise. Dude are you trying to guilt trip him that ain't cool.

18. Anyway Ichi blows him off. Dude hurry up the pacing here is starting to drag.

19. Ooh Ichi runs into a villain! Cool action now? Anyway Ichi and his sis talk groceries and then get attacked by a hollow.

20. And Not! The villain beats it! Which changes Ichi's mind much to Pigtail girl's pleasure. So now new quest! Get them powers back.

1. Chad's Orihime sense is tingling and now he and Ichi are gonna go help her. Please let them find these assholes in a pile of body parts on the ground at Hime's feet.

2. Ichigo, being modern, is trying to call her, but Chad is like "dude her on the phone will distract her from fighting". The music is super melodramatic but Hime's still standing up like a badass

3. OOH I AM LOVING HIME'S EXPRESSION LIKE NOW. And she said "please be quiet" to this asshole. I LOVE HER.

4. OH GODDAMIT DID THEY JUST DAMSEL HER INSTEAD OF LETTING HER KICK ASS DUDES WHY?!

5. She looks awfully traumatized and her shoulder hurts. Oh god this is that thing Sasuke and Itachi have, right?

11. Oh back to Ichigo's hot boss! And she's pissed at how much time he's taking off.

12. And she's also telling him that she's an adult and he can trust her! Oh damn it just occured to me that Ichi's story started with losing his mom - and now he's got a supportive female adult in his life. Is that gonna help him out? I hope!

13. Ok so Suki's not just a fullbring but the original leader! OK I'm gonna say he's Fullbring Aizen. Same basic deal, defector from the original clan.

14. And apparently he's after Ichigo and going after the people he cares about. I guess we should've guessed that before.

15. And of course Shonen Rule #1. when in Doubt, Train a bunch.
