Indeed the world does, Percy. Indeed the world does. But that's not the whole picture. It feels like the world is a puzzle with half the pieces hidden from me. Intentionally. And sometimes, when I find a new one, other pieces go missing. Important ones too. And normally, I'm lucky enough to have those pieces stay. It's common for one to go missing. It's less common for more to go missing. 2, maybe 3 pieces missing. But they are hidden from me in places I may never find. They are hidden, with the hope that I stay looking. The hope, that in my searching, I never see the complete picture that *doesn't* existed. But I would never be able to imagine the complete picture. Some of the colors are off. The lines are inconsistent, the shapes too zoomed in. I never saw the box, so I can't just hold that mental image over my head. I turned four, and I was sat down at a puzzle. I didn't get a choice. The adult said "You will finish this puzzle. But to make it interesting and break up the monotony, I'm gonna hide some pieces (they wouldn't do that for everyone. Just people like me.)"

So of course, I start filling out the border. Not all of it is finished when I can't find the pieces. I, of course being a naïve child, start on the inner circle before finding the rest of the pieces. Oop, missing piece. O had basically gotten to the middle, finding pieces that would fit and wouldn't fit everywhere. Finding spots I could place them, everywhere. But then, I find the first important missing piece. A face of some sort (emotion). I can't find it all in my pile. I look around, eventually finding it in some Windex (somewhere I wouldn't look normally. No one would look at Windex without needing to.) I put it in. I can see it! Emotion! It makes sense now! And then I get stuck somewhere else. Sound? No, communication. I could make that face out a little. But not wholly. So I look. And I look. And I look. I have to move on at some point, and Bam! There it is, already there? But... Now texture is gone. And the whole puzzle feels... Off. Wait. Texture is still there. It's just not this texture. It didn't used to be off. The other texture was off before. What the hell? And, I know it's texture because I can move it back. But that doesn't fix it. It's still off. The new spot feels fine though. The new texture feels fine too. The old one is still off. As are a few others. But this new one is lovely! It feels great! Why can't my bed feel like this? I move on. Then I find taste. Sweet, savory, spicy, green? Green, umami, crisp, others! Most of them are good. But I don't like teal. It doesn't taste right. I don't wanna look at it. I don't want to even imagine it. Blech, keep me away from teal. It's so bad. But a lot of things taste like teal. Things other people like. A lot of other people. I want to like it too! But I can't. It's horrible. Why can't I be like them!

I find something I really like! It's the best! But other people find it weird? Is it weird to like this? Am I supposed to dislike it? Why don't they like it? Maybe I should like it in private? I want to be friend with them, but they don't like talking about it, so I guess I should just keep it secret. But that one thing becomes most things. So I only like things that are generic in front of people. And I hate it. I want to talk to them! Why can I only talk to them about their shirt color?? Or the restaurant the like? And why is it never in depth!!! ARRRGHHHGG I HATE THIS!!! THIS STUPID PUZZLE I WANT TO BURN IT!!!

And that is what it feels like. Accurately.

My favourite underrated thing about Louis de Point du Lac is that he truly is the least curious vampire to ever be made and he does not give fuck about vampires despite being one.

Its Claudia who goes to libraries, reads the folklore, tries to learn as much as she can and pushes Lestat for answers about who made him and where the others are. Claudia says Vampire Pride and Louis says hmmm Vampire Tolerance.

And Louis...truly does not care about vampire history,law, culture. He's never even thought to ask. There are vampire laws?...ok...Lestat never cared about them and he's not going to either, lol. He's broken a few and he will continue to do so. Oh you have a coven? he's not gonna join it, he's gonna do his own thing. but good for you good for you.

He has fire powers? thats kinda cool. he'll learn that but only cause it lets him vent his feelings about Lestat.

Lestat and Armand say the name of the vampire queen in front of him and Lestat straight up says, "Louis has no idea who that is" and do you think Louis cares, outside of the fact that for some reason it means he can't kill Lestat? No! Do you think in the 77 years he's been with Armand he ever took 5 minutes to ask a follow up question? No!

Do you think he will care about Akasha in season 3? Doubt it! Outside of her obsession with Lestat, who is the only person left on the planet he seems to be able to filter Caring About This Shit through

He blatantly breaks the 3rd law and publishes a book about being a vampire and when the other vampires get pissed not only does he not apologise he literally sends them his location and says 'you wanna fight? lmao don't miss'

I love him. Daniel Molloy is gonna need to bring his A game because Louis will not be solving a single mystery next season, nor would it even occur to him to try.

it makes you, your house, and your clothing stink, destroys your teeth, and gives you lung cancer. opposing it is. Correct. obviously addiction is very complicated and quitting can be hard, but just saying "smoking is gross and harmful as a practice (including vaping)" is True and Right actually
