They're pushing $70, $80, $100!!! for games that are completely unfinished, unpolished, and sometimes completely unplayable. Yes the game showcases were cool. The doom game looks sick and I don't even go there, but they're shaking the shiny keys to distract you and get you swept up in the hype. They're going to push so much fomo marketing to get you to jump for it full price.

Wait for sales. Wait and buy a used copy. Hell, wait a couple days (even hours!!!) after launch and reviews and breakdowns will start coming out. Our game backlogs are already packed, and mr big AAA studio can deal with some of us waiting to see if they actually delivered what was promised.

I’ve literally been saying this!!! I’ve ranted about this to like 5 different people! I feel like I’m going insane because people on Twitter are scandalized beyond belief and calling the writers at gamefreak gooners and like it’s just so bizarre to me.

I read all the leaks that mentioned people having kids with Pokémon and it was CLEARLY not pornographic. It was all very mythological, sex is just a part of folklore! It’s not like they’re writing in detail of penetration. Half of them just mention people being the Pokémon’s spouses. The ones that do involve children, most of them just have the woman wake up with a child being there now. Only one directly references any sexual actions.

I was stunned because like??? Have you never heard any folklore or mythology in your entire life?! I rlly liked how mythological and folklore-y it was. I instantly understood the tone they were going for and the themes they were riffing on. I thought it was incredibly obvious how this was just mimicking real life stories. The games had already mentioned humans marrying Pokémon in the past since Diamond and Pearl came out in 2006. None of this was any more Risqué than that, sexually at least (there was a lot of talk of ppl dismembering Pokémon for fun or hunting them for food but that’s not the topic) except for the Octillery story

Even when cisgender women rape other cisgender women in prison, they are not transferred to men's prisons. One does not have to believe that consensual sex in prisons is acceptable to acknowledge that this transfer is a double standard. And yet this is the treatment transgender women can expect, apparently: a brutal double standard of violence, wherein our presence in any space is that of, at best, a conditional visitor. Yet when push comes to shove, we are more impoverished, more violated, and more mistreated by our patriarchal society.

The state of Washington must reverse it's decision. If it cannot be compelled to do so, then Kim's sentence must be commuted - even if we accept that prisons can perform justice, surely we all agree that justice is never forwarded by torture; that a day served of a sentence in the form of torturing a minority is not, in fact, a day closer to any kind of justice.

The use of either solitary confinement or sexual violence against a transgender woman as a means of control is so far beyond the pale that it must be opposed under all circumstances.
