Yasammy Week ~ Day 3: Prom

“Mom, we really have to go.” Yaz mumbled, eyeing the large pickup truck Sammy’s father had parked near the entrance of the Gutierrez Cattle Ranch. The engine had been running for little over an hour now, no thanks to her misty eyed mother, who decided she needed an album’s worth of photos of their Prom Dresses. Sammy didn’t seem to mind, in fact, she was fully on board for the mini photo shoot. Yaz rolled her eyes, but smiled nonetheless. Prom could wait a few minutes more.

Not sure how to feel about Mrs. Fadoula’s angle here, but it’s good enough !!! Also, yes, Yaz is holding a mum, because Sammy is a Texas girl and she wants to spoil her girlfriend. I know they’re more of a Homecoming thing, but she’s just extra like that :3 (Yaz has no idea what to do with it). Yes, Sammy will be going to prom in cowboy boots, because Yaz is wearing sneakers under her dress, too.

Their designs here are based on what we see of them in the finale of Camp Cretaceous, when Yaz and Sammy grew out their hair. Very pretty :3

she likes pastries because they're a challenge! all I've heard from people is how difficult they are to make lmao. they especially like stuff like macarons, filo, and croissants specifically because they're fussy and hard to master. their favorite flavor is proooobably strawberry :3

I've said this before I think but, you can tell she likes you because you'll be getting random sweet (or savory, if you can't handle sweet/are diabetic) things (especially things that are time consuming or otherwise a chore to make).

they also work a part-time job as a candy maker, because honestly being a therapist who works basically pro bono (being paid by the county/state to do services for people who can't afford it normally) does not pay well. and she just enjoys the job too :) it's a nice way to destress and stim by pulling candy.

Well, the story is veryyyyy early in making, since… this is the third character I’ve actually drawn and is coming up with concepts with… errrrr, well at least I made a full concept for Father Matthew 😔 at least that goatman got my back…

welp I should say a bit about her then! Her name is Carmilla Rose! She’s also known as The Library Witch to the neighborhood children, of course that’s probably just a rumor… hah.

I have a lot of early concept art as well, the fully colored sketch is a concept as well, it’s all concept… the only thing I can agree on is that she is an old goth looking lady so… here goes something!

anyways, I have some of the story done, it was originally gonna be a lot more horror, it still has a bunch of horror in it, but I also want it to revolve a lot around the kids in the Neighborhood and their personality… so I guess a lot of world building!

Tbh, this is probably a lot more in-depth then my usual stuff… also I mayyyy have made a blog for this story… but I’m not gonna link that juuuustttt yet, I gotta have a bit more solid footing for this story!
