i am. so sorry if i have ever used the phrase “i have an au where—” and led you to believe that there is an actual fic out there for you to read rather than, at best, a post where i explain the concept, and at worst it is simply something that lives in my brain

☆ Welcome home Neighbor~! ☆
----------
Human Reader x Welcome Home!
Something is wrong with this House, and it wasn't the atrocious color scheme.
Chapter 7/?
Word Count: 3,762 Out of 20,428
————————-
Julie quickly abandoned brushing your hair, practically throwing the brush on the couch as she lept off of it, taking off in the direction of where you assumed her room was.
You moved to pick up the brush from the couch, scooting yourself to be more comfortable as you brushed through the back of your hair on your own,
You had to admit, Wally and Julie did do a good job of getting most of the knots out, but some were harder to get than others sadly.
Seeing as Julie was absent from the couch, Wally moved closer to you again, both of your arms practically touching as he stared at you, the buzzing behind your eyes suddenly didn't feel comforting anymore.
Wally stared at you for a minute or two longer as you brushed the knots out of your hair, struggling with a few of them before he spoke,
“are you excited to meet home?”
You tried desperately to focus all your attention on your hair, pleading internally for him to stop staring at you, your hands shook as they held the hairbrush.
“I mean yeah, They’re Julie's friend, and Julie seems nice so,”
Your words felt clunky and scattered as they left your mouth, Wally staring made you anxious, and you didn't know if it was because of your normal anxiety, or the fact he might be the reason you were here to begin with.
“they're my best friend too,”
Wally leaned back on the couch, breaking his stare for a moment as he sunk into the soft plush of the sofa.
“there was this one time me and julie were painting, and home, being the trickster they are, moved one of their shutters to splash paint on me!”
Wally broke out in his monotone laughter again, if you had any comfort from Wally looking away from you it just left.
“Wait, Home is an actual home?”
You put the hairbrush in your lap as you, regrettably, made eye contact with Wally again, you knew you were currently living with talking puppets, but a sentient house? That was a whole new world of insanity.
“ha ha ha, yes, of course, i live with them after all.”
Suddenly it all clicked in your brain. Home was the red house in the center of the Town with large eyes, and worst of all Wally lived there.
“neighbor? are you alright?”
Wally waved his hand in front of your eyes, you must have dissociated and never noticed.
“Haha, uh yeah Im alright Wally. Sorry, this is all new to me,”
A pathetic excuse, but it seemed to calm Wally. Your hands busied themselves with picking at a few loose threads on the clothes Sally gave you, they shook as you tried desperately to calm yourself.
“So, your hair…”
You tried to busy your mind with more questions to Wally, you didn't know a whole lot about him after all, and he still had his hair curlers in, though he began pulling a few out.
“Do you have to style it in the morning? Or is it just like that?”
Wally hummed lightly as he thought before speaking,
“well, i take a shower, then i curl my hair, then i have to gel it and sometimes i use hairspray..”
Wally seemed to enjoy talking the most about his hair routine, you zoned out until Wally was finished going into detail on his complex hair routine in the morning.
“Wait, you have a shower? I thought you guys were felt and didn't really.. Need those,”
“ha ha ha, what a silly silly thought neighbor,”
Removing the final curler from his blue hair, he set them all on Julie's table before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a makeup mirror, moving his hair into the proper spots before he would need to gel it,
You had to admit, he looked nice with his hair down,
“what are we supposed to do if we get paint on us? leave it? we need showers just as anyone else would,”
…You would have to ask Howdy when you got home later to use his then. The feeling of dirt on your skin became very irritating very fast.
“Well, that's good to know I guess,”
You pulled your legs up on the couch, curling in on yourself while you picked at your nails, removing any dirt that may have been stuck from the previous day.
“what are those?”
Wally once again was back to breathing down your neck to your dismay. He practically leaned on you as he hovered his hand over your arm, almost as if he was asking to touch you,
You allowed him, not seeing a reason to not let him as you moved your arm to his hand. You could swear his smile got wider.
“wow, you humans really are intricate,”
Wally moved from your arm to your wrist examining your hand, focusing his attention on your nails specifically.
“why are the tips of your hands harder than your skin?”
He tapped at your nails with his finger, and you couldn't help but giggle at his childlike wonder at how you worked, all of the neighbors acted excited to know more about you it seemed.
“Well those are nails Wally, they're kinda like.. Claws, and they grow a lot, so does my hair,”
Just as you finished speaking with Wally about your nails and hair, Julie came running back into the room, holding various cans of paint in her small arms,
“C'mon, cmon!! I can't wait to give Home a good ol’ Spa Day!”
Wally stood from the couch to help Julie with the various paints she was holding, he tried desperately to flip his hair out of his eyes, and he failed, miserably.
So being the kind and anxious person you were, you quickly pulled his bangs from his face, trying to not think about it too much as you walked to the door to hold it for them.
Wally seemed to appreciate your kind act as he gave you a friendly smile that was somehow brighter than normal. He walked beside you and Julie as you walked to Home, and oh boy you were not excited to meet home anymore.
You moved one of your hands to hold the bridge of your nose, feeling the hum behind your eyes pick up in frequency as you approached the red house.
Desperately trying to console yourself before you would be forced to speak and interact with Home, you took a few deep breaths, composing yourself as you approached the red house.
Julie was walking to a song in her head as she walked with a bounce, it reminded you of how a cartoon character would walk, she turned to you, her eyes practically sparkling.
“Are you excited to meet Home? I'm excited, that's for sure!”
Wally turned around too, you suddenly felt very pressured to feign excitement. I mean it would be rude to not, Julie was friends with Home and Wally lived with… in…?
With. Wally lived with home,
“Uh.. Yeah, I am..!”
You forced yourself to smile, the corners of your mouth twitching in betrayal to the joy you were feigning. You just hoped neither of them noticed,
Julie smiled and went back to walking at her upbeat and charismatic pace, while Wally's eyes lingered on you a while longer, You looked anywhere but at him.
It didn't take long to approach Home, with Wally calling out to them as Julie practically dropped the paint she was holding to run and hug the side of the house,
“Home!! It's been too long..! We have this amazing idea..-”
Homes shutters creaked as they waved them in a fond greeting to Julie as she continued to ramble, Wally smiled fondly as he walked past Julie to the front of Home,
You followed behind Wally reluctantly, trying to convince yourself Home might be chill, maybe you were being too anxious, after all this was a world full of puppets.
You couldn't be more wrong, unfortunately.
The trees and flowers surrounding it did nothing to distract you from its eyes. They were big pools of black emptiness, with no pupils.
 A faint black ink seeped from the bottom of the windows, leaving an uncanny valley to creep into your head the more you stared.
If Wally was talking, you weren't paying attention. He set down the various cans of paints as he waved his hand in front of your face,
“neighbor? it's rude to stare..”
You snapped out of it as Wally focused his attention directly on you,
“Oh, sorry Wally, it's.. nice to meet you... Home,”
Home waved the front door, clicking and shutting it a few times as Wally smiled,
“they say hello,”
Julie made her way to the front of the house, the paint cans clinking together as she focused on not spilling them.
“You can understand them?”
 To you all that Home sounded like a series of clicks and creaks, but maybe it was Morse code..?
Wally let out a laugh,
“haha, of course i can silly, me and home talk quite often actually,”
Surprisingly that didn't creep you out as much as you thought it would, it only made sense for Wally to begin to understand Homes way of speaking after a while. How long had Wally lived here anyways..?
“well! ill be back soon neighbor, i must gel my hair before it dries,”
Wally walked to the door and Home politely opened it for him, Homes eyes going cross as they tried to look at Wally before closing the door behind him. Leaving you and Julie alone with Home.
“As i was saying Home! I have sooo many blues that I think would look darling on your shutters!”
Julie sat criss-cross on the ground in front of Homes… eye? As she popped open a few cans of paint. The smell reminds you of when you had to paint your old room.
You tried to desperately shake off the feeling of being out of place, sitting down didn't calm you either. You still felt like you were being analyzed and picked apart, but Home wasn't even looking at you.
Oh but when they did... It was a whole different story.
Your hair stood on end as Home took its attention off of Julie. Staring at you. You suddenly felt small as the smell of the warehouse somehow hit your nose.
Visions of Homes' old Rusted eyes that were forced shut from years of wear and abandonment danced across your vision. This all felt too much.
You lightly stimmed your hands as you desperately tried to calm down. You were fine, Julie wouldn't let anything bad happen to you after all, right?
Looking up at where Julie once was, you saw nothing. Julie was gone. Leaving you alone with Home.
You stood quickly, tripping over your feet as your vision became more spotted, Black spots pranced around your vision as you swear you could have seen Red strings attaching themselves to nothing in Homes eyes.
An empty void. Filled with nothing but swirls and Red, you were its next victim.
Your legs shook, and the ground beneath you somehow felt uneven and like it would collapse at any minute.
You had to get back to Howdy.
You took off in the direction of Howdys shop. Who cares if Wally and Julie would look for you later, you needed to get somewhere safe.
Before you could get far, however, you felt the hum behind your eyes increase. Feeling like a swarm of bees behind your eyes, no. Wasps.
 Stinging at your brain as you tried to think of ways to escape.
You collapsed. Your heart felt as if it was practically beating out of your chest.
Your hands gripping desperately onto the soft grass, trying to get your bearings as your eyes felt like they were swirling.
As the pain amplified in your head,  you gave up. Laying down on the grass as you felt something faintly grasping sharply at your Ankles, you had no energy to fight anymore.
Before you slipped under the warm blanket of unconsciousness, however, Your brain was quickly snapped out of the spell it was under as Homes door swung open.
You turned around, your head feeling faint as you saw Wally standing in the doorway, his hair faintly in the position of its usual Pompadour, stray hairs fell in his eyes as he panted.
“Neighbor! Are you Alri..-”
You didn't give him a chance to respond. Practically crawling away from him before you could kick yourself back up on your feet, Running straight to Howdys.
You could faintly hear Wally yell after you as you picked up speed, barely brushing past Eddie as he walked to his Post Office. If he said anything to you it was Ignored.
Practically falling onto the glass door of Howdys shop, you gripped firmly onto the handle. Scared of your shaking legs collapsing.
Howdy was nowhere to be seen. Tears prick at the corner of your eyes as you could hear Wally and Eddie yelling after you, You slammed the door shut without care and took off to Howdys Office.
You run to the bathroom and click the lock shut with inhuman speed. This was the only place with a lock that you knew of, and you needed space.
You wanted to go home. You collapsed onto your butt, pushing yourself away from the bathroom door as you felt a cool breeze hit your skin.
You shook as your hands slammed over your ears and a ringing picked up in them. You were scared, and as much as you wished Howdy was here, you couldn't keep burdening him with your issues.
You could now hear Wally outside the door, oh how you wished it was Eddie instead.
“Neig…bor? If you can hear me, say something,”
As he spoke his voice sounded.. Different. It no longer held a calm tone to it, he sounded worried.
You stomped your foot in response, you didn't feel verbal as of now but you wanted to hear what he had to say.
“Good..! good, i know you must be.. scared.”
Understatement of the year ladies and gentlemen! You rolled your eyes to no one.
Wally sighed before continuing,
“would you mind if i came in? it will only be me, eddie went to franks,”
Again, you wished Eddie was here instead. The kind mailman wouldn't hurt a fly, Wally, however, you didn't know.
…If he lived with Home he may know something though.
You scooted closer to the door, pressing your back against it,
“I'd rather talk with the door closed... Your staring is creepy.”
You didn't feel like sugarcoating right now, your anxiety would normally do so if you weren't so amped on adrenaline, and probably hunger.
Wally laughed an airy laugh, this laugh felt different from his other ones though, he sounded.. Normal.
“Haha.. what if i promise to keep my eyes on the floor?”
A thump hit the door as you felt something push against it, seemed like Wally was getting comfortable.
“No.”
You heard shuffling,
“what if i say please?”
You lay your head on top of your knees, groaning at Wally's poor attempt to persuade you into opening the door.
“....if you open the door.. i can tell you what happened with home.”
Your head snapped up from your knees as you almost hit the door in shock, you quickly stood and unlocked the door on shaky knees.
“You need to tell me everything you know.”
Wally looked up from his spot on the floor as he flailed to stop himself from falling as the door opened.
Suddenly his smile didn't seem that forced, and his messy hair looked natural,
“okay,”
It took you and Wally a few minutes to settle in the bathroom, it was a bit awkward sharing the small space with someone you once held distaste for, but here you were.
“So, spill puppet man.”
You stared at him with hopefully the same intensity he once did to you, it seemed to be working as he averted his gauze. His hand raised to fidget with a few loose strands of hair,
“you must understand, home is good at heart.”
“I didn't ask that.”
Your posture went rigid as Wally went to Homes defense. If Wally was going to act like Home was a good guy after what just happened you would go back to sulking.
“right, sorry.”
Wally met your eyes again as he stopped fidgeting and clasped his hands in his lap,
“home wants us all to be happy, this place is made to be happy,”
His eyes met the floor again as he continued,
“so, sometimes when home meets someone who… isn't. happy,”
Wallys' hands picked at a few loose threads, looking as if he was reminiscing on a bad memory.
“they try to fix it. they bring them here, or they try to fix you”
Suddenly you couldn't breathe.
“So Home brought me here?”
Wally looked at you, his nonexistent eyebrows creasing in worry and sadness,
“yes and no, see-”
You stood, all feelings of anxiety practically flooded into the floor as you became angry,
“What do you mean Yes and No.”
Wally grew nervous, feeling the tension rising in the small space you both occupied at the moment,
“dont get the wrong idea Y/N..! i didn't know this would happe..-!”
“You didn't know this would happen..? What do you mean You?”
Wally grew more anxious. He looked like he was about to cry, which is when you started to try to calm yourself down. Taking deep breaths and dropping the fists that your hands had formed impulsively.
“Wally, I need you to be honest, did you have something to do with how I got here?”
Wally didn't need to say anything, you already knew from the way his pupils shrunk to pinpricks. He kept trying to form a sentence, only to fail.
“Wally. I need to get home, how did I get here?”
Wally let out a nonexistent breath that he seemed to be holding,
“i.. i don't know much myself. Home, in a way to protect us, blocks our memories.”
Of course he didn't know, this was just your luck.
You slid back down the wall holding your head, your fingers digging into your various locks of hair as you groaned.
“Wally you need to tell the others. This isn't right, they deserve to know.”
“what makes you think they don't?”
Your eyebrows furrowed as you looked at Wally, feeling anger bubble in your chest,
“Because who would be okay with this? This... This is inhumane! Having memories wiped..? All in the vain attempt to be happy!?”
Wally sighed as his head drooped, a few stray hairs falling out of the loose pompadour he once had.
“neighbor you must understand, this place is safe. there is nothing to worry about here, everyone is friendly, why wouldn't you want to stay?”
Wally had you there, this place did seem miles better than the life you lived in your town.
“Because I have a life at home, Wally. My Home. And I don't exactly fit in here. Yknow, because I'm not a puppet”
You raised your hand to point a finger at him,
“By the way if I turn into a puppet, the nonexistent crime rate here is gonna skyrocket.”
Wally again let out a genuine laugh before speaking,
“no, no you won't turn into a puppet, honestly i don't know where home found you, your nothing like we’ve seen before.”
You groaned and dropped your pointing hand,
“Great so I'm basically still as lost as I was yesterday. This is getting nowhere.”
Wally stood and moved to sit beside you, putting his hand on your shoulder,
“if it makes you feel any better frank may be able to help, i can ask if we can speak with him tomorrow,”
“That seems to be the best bet sadly,”
You both flinched as you heard knocking at the Bathroom door before a familiar voice spoke,
“Y/N..? Are you in there?”
Wally stood quickly as he dusted himself off, straightening his cardigan before attempting to fix his hair the best he could, you tried to stifle a laugh at the man's obsession with his vanity.
“Yeah, me and Wally are in here Howd’s,”
You walked to the door, unlocking it and opening it widely to show Howdy you and Wally were, in fact, in the bathroom.
Howdy smiled and gave Wally a fond smile, before focusing his attention on you, his eyes going wide with worry.
“Y/N! Are you alright, your looking pale..”
One of his hands shot to your head while the others gripped onto your arms, he seemed scared that you were going to faint at any moment,
“Ah.. I'm alright Howdy, just had a bit of a panic attack, Wally helped me though,”
Wally walked beside you and gave a smile to Howdy,
“it wasn't any trouble at all, just helping where i can,”
Howdy finished analyzing your face and holding a palm to your forehead to acknowledge Wally fully,
“Thank you Wally, I must have been too busy organizing the Stock to notice Y/N enter the Shop,”
Howdy stepped away from the door to give Wally and you room to exit, Wally walking ahead of you,
“again it was no problem howdy..! happy to help,”
Howdy laughed before jabbing his elbow into Wallys' arm,
“You're also happy to help yourself to some apples..! Isn't that right Mr.Darling?”
Wallys' smile curved mischievously as he walked out of the Office, leaving you and Howdy alone in his Office,
“..What happened to get you so shakin’ up Honeybee..?”
You met Howdys eyes again and he looked concerned as always, you wished you weren't such a bother to him.
“The usual, Wally talked me through it though, but I'm still nowhere closer to getting home.”
Howdy walked closer to you, putting a comforting hand on your back,
“If it makes ya’ feel any better, Poppy made you a blueberry cupcake, Her baking always makes me feel better at least,”
You giggled as your anxiety ebbed from your body at Howdys comforting gesture,
“Sure, can't wait to try the Towns famous bakers cupcake,”
—-----------
Wally stepped into the dark living room. His hands still fluttered around a few loose threads before Home shut the door behind him.
A flurry of Slams came from his bedroom door.
“Wait..! Im happy..! They didnt do anything, i promi..-!”

“Remember when you used to look at me like that?” Your voice is soft as the couple strolls down the beach before you, lost in each other's eyes while the sun sets behind them. Really, it looks straight off of a romance novel cover. You reminisce on when that used to be the two of you, taking trips together or coming down to this very beach when he was home from races. Taking midnight walks or grabbing an ice cream to share.
He had been distant from you for the last few months, really the last half a year. A completely different person than the man you had fallen in love with just over three years ago. His answering huff strikes a nerve as you turn to look at him. “What?” you ask, leaning your head onto the bench you’re sitting on, eyes trailing the side of his face. He had the most beautiful side profile, even if he was currently squinting down at his phone screen.
“Don’t you think that’s a bit dramatic, babe?” his voice laced with laughter, not bothering to look up from his phone. You tried talking to him about this a few weeks ago, but he had brushed it off - telling you that you were reading into things too much and that he was too busy to deal with it.
“Not really, Lando.” You mumbled, unsure if you really wanted to start this argument here. Though you weren’t sure the next time you would be able to talk about this, he was always gone and you knew he would try to brush it off again. “You’re not the same as you were when we first started dating.” Your voice wavers slightly as you speak, returning your face to the ocean.
“People change, I don’t know what you want me to say.” His voice is laced with frustration as he speaks, typing angrily on his phone screen. “I don’t treat you poorly, you live in a beautiful place. I give you everything you ask for. I don’t know what you have to complain about.”
Your chest tightens in response as you let out a deep breath. “You know I don’t care about the physical things, Lando. It’s really shitty of you to even insinuate that. You asked me to move in with you, I had my own place. I buy my own things.” Rubbing your hands over your face, you shake your head for a moment. “Physically, you’re here, but emotionally? I’ve been on my own for a while now.” you explain as you take a steadying breath.
Finally, he locks his phone and turns to face you. “I’ve been busy, what else do you want from me?” his tone is hurt, as you expected. “I want you to care about me, I want you to love me the way you did when we first started dating. I don’t know what has changed, I don’t know if you don’t love me anymore. I don’t know if there’s someone else - but I’m tired of carrying the emotional load of this relationship on my own.” You can't keep the tears from falling anymore, so you swipe them quickly from your face. “When’s the last time you asked me about my day? When was the last time you asked about my family? My job? My hobbies? About me?” you continue, hands trembling. “Do you even know that I got a promotion?” you ask - tone bitter as you shift away from him.
His eyes soften for a moment, his hand comes up to rub his chin. A tell that he’s uncomfortable with the situation and doesn’t know how to proceed. “There’s- ” he hesitates for a moment, “I just have had a lot going on. A lot has been changing, and I think that I’ve grown out this time of my life?” he’s quiet when he finishes speaking, keeping his eyes locked on the waves crashing the shore.
Your heart feels like it’s been stomped on, “What do you mean?” you can’t help the way your cheeks burn, nausea catching you off guard for a moment. There’s no way he means what you think he means. He wrings his hands together in front of him, letting out a long sigh. “I just think that we’ve outgrown each other. I think we have different priorities in life, and that we should go our separate ways.”
“Oh,” you breathe out, you’re not sure how much time has passed - but you see the sun nearly below the horizon. Ironically close to how you’re feeling, left in the dark. “How long have you felt this way?” you ask, you’re not even sure if you said anything with how quiet your voice is. His response isn’t much louder, “I don’t know, maybe a few months? Four or five?”
A surge of anger courses through you as you stand from the bench, clenching your fists. “You asked me to move in with you, I gave up my apartment and my space. All while you were feeling this way?” you spit out at him, pacing in front of the bench. “What the hell, Lando?” you rant, coming to a stop in front of him.
“I thought it would fix how I was feeling. If we lived together, it would show me what my next step was. The next step to building our future together. But it made it worse. I feel trapped.” His words strike you as though you’ve been slapped, making you take a step back.
You’d made him feel trapped, unhappy.
“I don’t understand?” you ask, pressing your lips together. “I gave you your space, I kept my job, and you’re gone all the time for races. I stopped going to races when you asked, I stopped our daily calls?” you explain needlessly. He sits silently as you continue, “You said you were happy, why didn’t you tell me you felt this way? We could’ve done something to fix it? I could’ve moved out!” you exclaim, tossing your hands in the air. “Why did you give up on us?” you ask, voice broken.
As he opens his mouth to answer, his phone screen lights up in his lap. He tries to quickly lock it, but it’s too late. A scoff leaves your mouth when you see her face pop up, “It’s her, isn’t it?” you ask, stepping back while he stands up with his hands out.  “Baby - I promise we haven’t done anything. I didn’t cheat. We’ve just been talking, and she understands me. She understands how I feel. It feels new and exciting.” he ignores your question, stepping toward you.
“You’re giving up three years of us, for her? Someone you told me to never worry about? You think you’ve outgrown this portion of your life? You haven’t grown at all. You’re still an immature little boy, you think she’s going to fix the fact you’re afraid of commitment? That’s why it feels new and exciting, Lando. You’re scared.” you hiss, not caring that the few people around are starting to stare at you. He reaches out for you again, “Don’t touch me. You can have her,” you wipe your tears again. “But do not call me for anything. I’m moving my shit out and I don’t want to hear from you ever again, do you understand me? Never, Lando. I don’t care what you do or who you do it with.” Your voice cracks as you continue, heart-shattering into pieces. “I wish you’d told me months ago so I wouldn't have wasted my time moving here, moving away from my family, giving up everything for you.”
“Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to hurt you.” A sad laugh leaves your mouth before you can stop it, “Didn’t want to hurt me?” you ask, “didn’t want to hurt me?” you repeat louder. “Well, you fucking did!” you’re yelling at this point, hands thrown in the air. “Fuck this, fuck her, and most importantly - go fuck yourself. I’ll have my stuff gone by the time you get back from the race.” you seethe, storming off in the direction of the apartment. Turning your back on everything you’ve known for the last three years, everything you’ve loved, and everything you thought was your future.

03. The unnie, the leader, the Aussies and the copycats
For the past 5 hours you sat on the floor sorting through your clothes and organizing everything out of your suitcase. You were in awe of the bedroom, stopping every five seconds just to look around the room admiring every detail. Essentially you wondered how much everything cost, knowing it must’ve cost a lot but considering you were currently housed in a condo that had expensive and luxury items and the most expensive gaming equipment there is, you knew that money was the least of their worries.
Tumblr media
As you walked over to open the door you heard muffled voices giggling and talking about whatever. ‘The rest of the members must be back’ you thought to yourself. Letting out a nervous sigh, you walked out of your bedroom and down the beautiful hallway that had trophies behind glass panels and group photos hung from each other their victories. They even had baby photos of themselves by their doors.
“Ahh! Welcome yn!” Haseul chirped out of excitement grabbing everyone else’s attention. You found yourself standing next to Minji as she looked over at you with a smile before clearing her throat.
“Alright guys lets welcome our new team member to our family! yn!” She introduced and everyone applaud. Haerin and Hyein stood up like the goofballs they were and cheered.
“Yay!!! another unnie!!” Hyein shouted leaving everyone laughing. While Haerin just repeated everything she said.
“okay little ones we get it” Hanni, the first Aussie spoke.
Minji then cleared her throat again and it went quiet. Leader powers. “yn will be practicing with duelist and controller agents, but we will speak more about that tomorrow morning during training, also speaking of training, we have been goofing off recently when training and that is not going to look good when competitive season starts next month and Fallen Angels start clowning us for being losers.” You couldn’t help but mindlessly smile as Minji spoke about what needed to be fixed and done because she looked so cute while doing it.
“Any questions?” she asked cutting you out of the zone as you blinked repeatedly before shaking your head no.
After the little meeting you stayed in the living room as each member introduced themselves. “Hello im Yeojin, you can come to me whenever you need anything or just want to hang out” the short unnie stated before giving you a hug.
Next was Danielle who was another Aussie, she was so nice and loving towards everyone and always stayed positive, “aww you’re so cute!” she smiled brightly.
“you’re saur cute” Hyein mocked from behind her while Haerin just repeated what Hyein said earning a side eye from Minji.
Hanni caught your eye as she walked over to you with a smile, “how do you like it here so far?” she asked.
“It feels like home, i can already tell im gonna enjoy it here” you responded not knowing that made Hanni feel happy inside and out hearing those words.
“Well Im glad we make it feel like home for you, I hope you enjoy it here and maybe we can become closer and hang out a lot” she said while pulling you in for a hug. It seemed like everyone here was a hugger but Minji, who stared at you and Hanni from the corner. Weird.
Tumblr media
Summary: You were scouted to be on a pro esports team when you started to find yourself falling for the leader, Minji as well as Hanni. Leaving you in difficult situations that eventually effect your performances. As Minji starts being harder on you, you can’t help but lean on Hanni for support, but deep down you wonder if any of them feel the same way you feel for them.

“welcome to the circus!” sleepy boys inc. &co fanfic — chapter 1
hi! this is my first time writing a fanfic, posting an actual thing on tumblr and also the FIRST chapter of my circus au sbi&co fanfic!
this would normally be posted on ao3 but i’m currently waiting for my invitation.. but im very excited to share it with people and my friend recommended posting it on here since apparently fics do very well on here:)
BETA READ BY CLEETUSPAWS (THANK YOU SO MUCH!)
Tumblr media
the rain hit the stone tiles of the street with loud pitter-patters, accompanied by the splash of a red pair of vans and black converse walking through a puddle. toby sighed when rain hit his head through the umbrella, looking up at the inconveniently placed hole. he turned to tommy with a frown, who was blissfully unaware and munching happily on his shitty sausage role from the sketchy bakery a few blocks away.
“tom, the umbrellas got a hole in it.. and my hairs getting wet.”
toby sighed, tapping tommy on the shoulder with a small slightly annoyed smile, pointing to the hole once tom had looked over.
tommy looked puzzled,
“what the fuck man? this umbrella was fine like— two days ago, when that guy gave it to me.. did you bite it or something tubs?”
he snickered, nudging the other boy with his elbow, a smirk plastered across his face, causing toby to fall backwards a tiny bit. he gasped, folding his arms.
“hey! don’t you be nudging me, also, i’m not a rat, i didn’t bite the umbrella. i don’t think it would be that tasty anyway..”
he grinned, nudging the blonde back with a laugh.
tom laughed out loud, finally moving the umbrella around so the hole was behind the both of them, the rain still cruising through but luckily far enough away that it wasn’t bothering the two. the hair of the two swayed in sync in the soft breath of the wind and the rain seemed louder on the top of the run-down umbrella now. or maybe they seemed quieter; it was hard to tell.
they had been quieter with eachother than normal recently, anyway. tommy had noticed it, assuming tubbo hadn’t so much. if toby noticed anything wrong he would obviously tell him, right? that’s how it’s been going since they were twelve years old— how its been going since they declared they were best friends in that shitty run down orphanage. shivers run down his spine at even the mention of that place. what a nightmare of a shithole, tom felt a pang of guilt for all the kids who were still stuck there, trapped in the foster system. he just hopes they wake up one day and take the chances of escaping.
tom snapped back into reality after a short moment, rolling his eyes at the fact he had a full train of thought about the life he so desperately wanted to leave behind in the dirt. maybe one day they’ll be able to help out some kids to escape that dump.
well, obviously not now.
scraping his lunch funds together was difficult enough for him.. let alone having to donate to the homeless shelter camp thing so he and toby can still ‘live’ somewhere.
“it’s practically paying rent, just masked as a nicer thing.” he explained to toby once, after they’d dropped whatever money they had left at the end of the month into the red bucket gripped by the owner of the land.
toby sighed, looking over to tom who had a wry look in his eyes, turning away quickly. he made an awkward facial expression before speaking:
“is it a mcdonald’s night.. or have we already spent too much money today?” he quizzed, glancing up to tommy and watching his hand as he brought it up to brush it through his hair, the blonde strands falling over his forehead again comfortably.
tommy thought for a moment, suddenly turning up to tubbo with a cheeky smile.
“you know what tubzo? why not man? we deserve it. we’ve been working all week and shit..” he gushed, gripping the umbrella tighter in his hand. toby seemed to catch up on the excitement, grinning back at him.
they walked faster now, turning onto a different street other than the one which would direct them home, chatting along until tommy stopped. turning to a telephone pole and looking at the brightly coloured poster stamped on it.
‘CASTING OPEN’ it read in a big pink font, a black shadow decorating it. under that violation to the eyes, there was extra text. holy shit.
there layed the logo of the ‘syndicate circus’, the swirly writing all too familiar and sported with the three colours for the three members. yellow for acrobur (‘what a stupid fucking name,’ tommy thought, who hates their child that much? he hates to admit acrobur was probably his favourite, though..), a bright green for crowman and a vibrant red for the blood god. jesus christ.
he poked tubbo on the shoulder, pointing to the poster and aggressively tapping on it.
“toby. are. you. seeing. this? castings for SYNDICATE? TUBZ. THIS WOULD BE INSANE.” he marvelled, grabbing the poor boy by his shoulders and shaking him slightly.
toby scoffed,
“tom you’re being a bit ambitious.. they wouldn’t let two teenagers - who barely have any talent at all - within fifty feet of the tent, let alone in it.”
tom rolled his eyes, crossing his arms, “you’re so boring, toby!” he ranted, sounding agitated,
”such a pussy. you know that right? you’re a puss.”
his tone changed to a teasing one, poking at the brunette with a cheeky grin.
tubbo blinked, crossing his arms and raising his eyebrows, waiting for tommy to continue.
tom scoffed, hands moving around in strange gestures as he attempts to explain—-
“okay- look, toby, like.. you’re good at those fuckin trampolines and i’m like really funny!”
tom stared at tubbo while he thought, his mumbles snapping the other out of his train of thought,
“and like.. i’ve always loved syndicate circus and i just think it’d be REALLY cool..”
toby stared with a blank face, a smile creeping up slowly,
“well- you’re not that funny. but its just.. we might not have enough money to support that, tom.”
tommy massaged his temple, right. money. that’s a good point. oh well!
“who fuckin cares about money?? imagine how much we could make from joining THE syndicate circus!” he exclaimed.
toby lowered his head, thinking again before looking up to tommy about to speak—
“come on, man! pleaase?? please please? pretty please, toby..????” tom begged, trying his hardest to do some kind of puppy-eyes.. and failing.
tubbo sighed. ‘anything to make tommy be quiet,’ he thought, turning to check the date on the poster.
“fine,” he muttered, “but as soon as ANYTHING goes wrong, we’re out of there. got it?”

CHAPTER 2
"Well, this is home, fellers." Shorty said to the boys as Daisy picked up some of her stuff wondering where the hell she would sleep.
"Kinda messy, but she cleans up nice." Daisy finshed.
"It's a dump, man!" Ernesto said as Daisy glared.
"Are you calling me a messy woman , because I sleep here just fine,although now im gonna have to find somewhere else to sleep." Daisy said raising her brow.
Ernesto looked anywhere but at her.
" Hey, I ain't no animal!
, I don't have to stay in no shed!" booker exclaimed.
"No, you ain't an animal." Daisy stated placing down a box of sandwhiches, grabbing a cup to make herself a drink.
"Animals got rights, you're a ranch hand." Shorty finished coming out of the kitchen.
"This is where ranch hands stay,Daisy didn't minf staying here." He continued.
"This sucks,hey are we gonna have to stay with her,no offense." Keith said.
"None taken,I'll probably find a tree or somthin'" Daisy said finishing her drink standing by Ernesto.
" Ernesto would love waking up to your beatiful face everyday." Ernesto said smirking.
"Im sure you would Ernesto." Daisy laughed.
"They got sandwiches from juvie out here." Ernesto said with a unamused laugh.
" This is crap." Booker said throwing it to the ground.
"Well, if you hungry, it'll taste good." shorty said as Daisy took a sip from her cup.
"I'd pick that up if I was you,
unless you want a visit from the locals." Daisy said with a laugh.
"We got a lot of wildlife around here,Fox, coyote..." Shorty said.
"Bear." Daisy chirped as the boys stared.
Ernesto stopped chewing on his sandwich,giving Daisy a "Is he forreal." look.
Daisy cackled going back into the kitchen.
-------------
"Come on, Moss." J.t said to the dog,who let out a bark.
"Jim Hope?,June Anderson,
Nice to finally meet you in person." June said coming outside.
" Nice to meet you,Call me J.T." He said to the blonde.
"Well, did Shorty and Daisy help you settle in okay?" J.t asked.
"Fine,My daughter is so excited about all the room
she's got for her pets,She likes Daisy alot too,Speaking of she's welcome to stay with us,I understand the cabin she stays in is where the boys currently are." June said to him.
"Good,and im sure Daisy would like that,Colt would probably force her anyway,
Would you like a beer?" J.t said to her.
"No." June answered.
"Listen, I wanna tell ya,I wasn't really expecting this,I mean you coming here with your daughter and all,See, this really isn't a place for..." J.t started to say.
June gave him a look.
"I mean, we're not really used to having women around here,Besides Daisy." J.t finished.
"Oh,Better get used to it if you want your program to work,Daisy seem very excited to have someone that isn't a guy to hang out with,
Now I'd like to meet the boys." June said to him.
"Yeah, sure,Follow me." J.t said with an awkward cough.
-----------
"Some brooms in there in the kitchen,in case you wanna sweep this place out." Daisy said to the boys who were making sandwiches.
"Any questions?" Shorty asked.
"Yeah,Do I have to share a room with the cholo?" Booker questioned.
Daisy scoffed at his audacity,Ernesto,however didn't take it lightly.
"What's up punk!" Ernesto shouted slashing the knife in his hand towards Booker.
Short backhanded the boy causing Daisy to launch back.
"Hey you want a piece of me?" Booker said launching at Ernesto,Daisy had enough,her fist hitting him in the face,he ended up hitting the door.
They looked at her in suprise before Booker launched at her.
Keith tried to jump on shorty untill he was thrown onto the bed.
"la tocas te lo juro por dios!" Ernesto Exclaimed as Booker launched at Daisy.
(you touch her , I swear to god)
It wasn't untill Colt came in,Grabbing booker by the hand.
"Try to harm my kid again, see what happens!" Colt exclaimed.
"I'm gon' get you, punk!" Ernesto exclaimed untill shorty pointed at him.
"Now Listen you little turd,
This whole rehab idea is J.T.'s, not mine,so don't expect me to put up with any of your crap." Colt started to say.
"Oh,whatever you say, Pecos Bill,Whatever you say, just don't hurt me." Booker said before launching at Colt.
What an Idiot.
You're a wise guy, and a slow learner,This ain't no summer camp, boy,You got me?,I've done my time, and I know
how to handle dirt like you,and belive it or not Daisy has too,Speaking of,She's off limits!" Colt said grabbing booker by the neck and pinning his arms back,before staring at Ernesto.
Ernesto however was staring at Daisy who had knelt in front of him.
"Dammit,Daisy,June said you can stay with her!" J.t Exclaimed,following after June , who had a dissapproving stare.
"Anybody pulls a knife on anyone again...You're gonna have an unfortunate accident with it." Colt stated sternly,Shorty smiled at Ernesto,Who Daisy helped off the ground.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Ernesto said,Colt glared,pulling Daisy out with him.
"Hey let go!,I have to get my stuff!" Daisy exclaimed.
"Gotta get my stuff,My hat looks good on you Ernesto,keep it I have many." Daisy said to the boys,before winking at Ernesto.
"You throw a hell of a punch." Booker said.
"You were an ass,but Im calling a truce for now,also try not to piss off colt." Daisy said to them.
"He sounds very protective of you." Keith said.
"He's my Dad." Daisy stated.
"Oh." Keith said scratching his head.
"Yeah,anyways there's one thing shorty forgot to tell you,when you're cleaning up around here,watch out for rattlesnakes,They like to find little dark spots to hide." Daisy finished.
"G'night boys." Daisy cackled leaving the cabin.

two young hearts
a lot of narrations i know but its necessary to the plot
luckily chase’s parents were not home
alex didn’t know how to explain to them what exactly happened because he knew that chase wouldn’t want to alarm them
molly was stuck with nico doing damage control and alex wondered if they were getting along or not but he had bigger concerns
karolina and gert were currently making some hot drink for chase since at karolina’s insistence helped her when she went through the same thing
so that left alex taking care of chase in his room waiting for a sign of conciousness which he isn’t getting
“im so sorry for this” alex sighed
he didn’t even know why he was talking because chase wasn’t going to respond to him but i guess let your feelings out you know
“i wish i knew how i could stop this wedding from happening” alex asked into the open nothing
he wanted to continue talking so he did
“seeing you just pass out right in front of me… it was just the scariest thing ive witnessed because i felt like i couldn’t do anything. and i want you to know something” alex didn’t know whether it was the right time for a confession especially considering what karolina said days ago
“i would drop everything just to make sure you’re ok. nothing matters more to me than you and you’re everything to me and i just wanted you to know that” alex subconciously had his hand find chase’s hand
there was a lingering i love you in his throat waiting to be said but he didn’t want to overwhelm chase anymore than he already is
minutes passed before alex heard a groan behind him
“chase hey. you’re ok, its ok i got you” alex squeezed his hand
“fuck what happened” chase rubbed his head
“you passed out” alex told him
“as if my life couldn’t have gotten worse” chase sighed
“hey don’t blame yourself. you seemed stressed for the past couple of weeks” alex tried to comfort him
“it was that talk i had with nico that was my breaking point” chase just groaned again
“what did she tell you” alex was curious
“the same thing as last time” chase said but alex knew there was something else
“chase i know you… there’s something else she told you” alex wanted the truth but chase shook his head
“i can’t at least i can’t tell you right now” chase looked at him sadly
alex decided to to press any further besides chase was still exhausted
“you scared the fuck out of me” alex then went back to the topic at hand
“god alex im sorry” chase winced
“i just felt like i couldn’t do anything. you weren’t responding to me and i-“ alex was frantic when chase passed out and he was pretty sure everyone knew
“hey im still here” chase smiled softly
“i know it was stress but i was still so scared” alex admitted
“i’ll be fine i promise” chase assured him
“you know i would just leave everything behind just to help you” alex scooted closer to chase
“even…” chase stopped himself from speaking
alex knew who’s name he wanted to say but he he nodded
he softly kissed his forehead and he saw chase blush softly
“was that ok? im not making you uncomfortable” alex asked
“its fine” chase smiled again and alex wanted to cry
karolina and gert eventually came in and sighed in relief when they saw chase awake and responsive
“welcome back to your life” karolina teased trying to light up the mood
“thanks karo” chase sighed
“you feeling ok” gert touched chase’s forehead
“im fine im just tired” chase squeezed her hand
“did molly ever text you” karolina turned to alex
“yeah she did all the damage control she could do and she left nico’s place a while ago” alex said
“i guess we should leave you to rest” karolina then waved chase goodbye
“if anything happens you call one of us” gert leaned down to kiss chase softly
“see you later” alex smiled softly and chase just smiled back at him
once the three of them were outside, gert addressed the lingering problem
“what are you going to tell nico” gert asked alex
“i don’t know” alex sighed
“want my advice. just be blunt with her” karolina shrugged
“karo’s right. i mean give her the same energy back” gert nodded
alex apperciated the advice before getting into his car and started driving home
he almost kissed chase honestly his face was five feet away and he knew how hopelessly in love he was but he would continue helplessly pining
but also he had to figure out how to call off this wedding but he was afraid too honestly because if he did call it off then the tensions would be worse then they are now

Note
I come out of my Tumblr hiatus to bring u a thought. Pirate! Eddie. Him with the jack Sparrow look. The eyeliner. The clothes. The hat. He fucks u into practical unconscious bc 1. The dick is heavenly and 2. He doesn't know when he's gonna see u again bc 3. Your a royal and not supposed to be sleeping with the enemy. Idk just some food for thought
hey this physically did something to my brain it has stopped working. i also made it soft im sorry.
sneaking on pirate eddies ship to escape your marriage to lord creel (heh) nd his crew finding you and dragging you up to his chambers. you're terrified, you've heard the rumors about how ruthless a pirate munson was, how he and his creq ravaged villages and ships. but you were more scared of your life back home.
being brought to him and forced to kneel at his feet, where he sits in a makeshift throne of sorts, a big ancient looking thing. he's a beautiful and intimidating man. both everything like the legends and nothing like them at all. his white open vested shirt parts at his chest, revealing dark tuffs of his chest hair, and the start of inked lines that you guess are tattoos. his hair is long and wild, eyes soft a doe like, despite the kohl liner rimming them.
he taps his fingers idly on his the arms of his chair as he assesses you, quiet as he takes you in, dark eyes roaming over your tattered wedding gown.
a hint of a smile, "a runaway bride?"
you keep your head held high despite your racing heart. outside of his room his crew is tripping over themselves to see what's going on. "im no one's bride."
one of his eyesbrows lift, and you realize, despite his appearance, how nicely he presents himself. the whole get-up is purposeful. looking as feral as he unhinged as he does, he still gives off an air of superiority and regalness. "well." he says slowly, tap tap tapping his fingers. "i suppose you aren't now." he looks you over again, "did you hide yourself away on my ship hoping I'd keep you safe from your beloved?"
as he speaks he flips open a metal case near him, plucking a cigarette from the tin. he lights it as he waits for your answer.
"i just want safe passage." you hedge, watching how his rings glint as he cups his hands around the cig when it lights, fanning the smoke as he leans back comfortably. "i know i can't get that for free. i sought you out on purpose for that reason."
a plume of smoke blows from his lips. he looks intrigued, motioning towards you broadly, "go onnnn."
at this, some of your maidenhood returns, your eyes turning downcast. you're still wearing your engagement ring. the damn thing was too hard to get off when you'd tried before.
"m'not naive enough to think any pirates will do me favors. especially when im Henry Creels bride." you make yourself look at him, seeing the recognition of that name light his face. many people are scared of that name, but munson just looks curious, flicking ash of his cig as he listens. you lick your dry lips, "which is why....i plan to be of service. I know where my fiancé kept his investments. i know where he's kept hidden jewels."
even eddie munson isn't above greed. he's a pirate after, all. he licks his lips, and he stubs the cigarette out. standing, his heeled black boots thump against the wood of his floor as he comes to you.
you meet his eyes as he looks down at you, hair hanging down around his face is waves. pretty, you think.
when he holds his hand out for you, you take it, letting him pull you to your feet. he grins at you then, mishevous, and dimpled. "i think we have eachothers best interests at heart, little runaway. welcome aboard hellfire."
BRAIN BUZZING!!!!!! letting eddie lead you across sea, getting close with his crew after that, late nights in his chambers playing board games and teaching him how you and your childhood friend prince!steve used to dance (prince!steve whos currently scouring the very sea you're on to find you because hes in love with you. he's hitched a ride with pirate robin, his new best friend) at balls. he's clumsy and always steps on your feet but you think its endearing. finding out the rumors about him are basically just that, rumors. because eddie munson has a heart of gold.
and when you let him take you to bed weeks later, you're both feeling heavy with the fact that your journey is coming to an end. he'll have the treasures you promised him soon, and you'll be far and free from henry.
you let him lay you down and strip off your silk gown, run your hand down that smattering of hair down his chest until you reach that hard cock you've been craving between your legs since you first stowawayed on his ship.
he makes love to you, its your first time, sweet and intimate and hot, trading sacred murmurs you'd never speak out loud in the heat of the day. the bed rocking with his motions as he takes you, cradling you to him, lips pressed to your ear, your temple, your cheek.
"love you, my sweet little runaway. I'll never forget all that you've given me. your light, your laughter, this precious cunt. I'll take it all with me, forever."

everything happens for a reason part one - zuko x fem!reader
I am not your concern
masterlist | part 2
summary: as a servant in the fire nation, you’ve learned that life is often unfair. but as you venture through a tumultuous relationship with a certain prince, you come to learn a very tricky lesson: everything happens for a reason.
a/n: im so excited about this guys you dont even know. i have so much planned and i hope you all love it as much as i do - just for reference, in this first chapter y/n is 9 and zuko is 10
wc: 2.3k
warning(s): mentions of a raid, reader and zuko both being little shits lmao
chapter title comes from not your concern by the hush sound!
Tumblr media
Y/N sprawled out on the grass and sighed contentedly as the sun shined down on her and her mother. Today was easier than most as they had been given the day off, an occasion that was rare in the royal palace. She closed her eyes and breathed in the fresh scent aerating their surroundings. Her senses were blessed with a mix of sea salt and fire lilies, an ever present reminder of the two worlds she walked in.
“Y/N,” her mother chided as she glanced down at her daughter from her sewing. “You shouldn’t lay in the grass like that. You know how hard those stains are to get out; I don’t need even more work on my plate.”
“Yes, mother,” she sighed as she sat up with mock exasperation. “I just feel like I should take advantage of this! We spend all day inside, and now that we’re out here you’re worried about things like stained clothes.” Y/N pushed herself to her feet and spread her arms out as she spun in a small circle. “Life is short, and I already spend all of it sewing and healing. Don’t you think I deserve some grass stains?”
“Did you find your way into the poetry books again?” she joked. “Of course I think you should have fun, but you know how things are here. I’m just trying to keep you safe.”
She continued to twirl, the soft breeze a welcome sensation on her skin. “I know, I know, but you don’t need to worry! I can—”
“Dear, watch where you’re going!”
Her mother’s warning didn’t reach her in time, a fact that became known to Y/N as she collided into the boy in front of her. A small gasp escaped her as recognition filled her now wide eyes.
“Prince Zuko!” she exclaimed, nervous hands finding their positions as she bowed. “Please forgive me for the accident, I didn’t realize you were there.”
Y/N had never spoken to the young prince directly — she mainly shadowed her mother while she did her work around the palace or honed her healing abilities under the watchful eye of Rika, their most skilled healer — but she knew enough to understand that she was to never disrespect the royal family in any way.
“Don’t worry,” he said with a small smile, alleviating the tension that had built up in her shoulders. “I’m sorry too, I wasn’t paying attention either. I actually came here for some help.” As she straightened her back, she noticed the bundle of fabric he was holding. “Are you Kura?”
“Oh, no. That’s my mother.” She pointed behind her where her mother greeted the prince with a respectful nod and smile of her own. “Did you come to get something fixed? She’s the best seamstress in all of the Four Nations.”
“My daughter flatters me,” Kura chucked. “What is it that you require, Prince Zuko?”
“She’s right, actually.” He held up the bundle of cloth which Y/N now recognized as one of the many outfits he owned. She didn’t consider herself a jealous person, but the prince’s extensive wardrobe was an exception to that rule. She had one set uniform for her work supplied by the Fire Nation, and a threadbare set for everything else that her mother had bought for her after saving up what little copper they had to spare. Y/N didn’t mind it too much as she was able to practice her sewing whenever the seams broke, but she was sure that her handiwork made up more of the outfit than the original by now.
“I tore one of the sleeves while I was training with Azula,” Zuko expressed with a frown. “I showed it to my mother, and she said that Kura would be able to fix it. I had to go through every single servant to find you, so I really hope you can. ”
Kura set her current project down and took the cloth from the prince, examining it with the skillful eye of a seamstress before meeting his eyes with another smile. “Of course, dear. I should have it ready for you by tomorrow; my daughter will deliver it to your quarters around midday.”
“Do it well,” he demanded. “I can’t focus on my training if my clothes are falling apart.”
“Hey!” she spoke up, scowling as she crossed her arms. It was like every shred of sense Y/N had disappeared the moment he talked down to her mother. “This is our day off, so you should be thankful that my mother is taking time out of her day to do this for you. Be nicer to her.”
“Y/N!” her mother scolded, her tone frantically apologetic as she turned back to the prince. “Please, forgive my daughter. She speaks her mind far too often, she doesn’t mean any disrespect.”
“No, you’re right.” A thoughtful expression found its way onto the young boy’s features, his eyes trained on her own displeasure. “My father always talks that way to the servants and I guess it came off on me. I’m sorry. It’s not nice.”
“Apology accepted,” Y/N said reluctantly.
“Thank you for your help. I’ll make sure to tell all my friends about your work.” The young prince smiled and walked off, though not without a curious second glance at the girl who righted his wrong.
As soon as the prince was out of range, Kura began to berate her daughter. “Y/N, by now you have to understand that under no circumstances may you ever speak to a member of the royal family like that! Do you know what kind of punishment you could’ve gotten if anyone else was around to hear that?”
She sighed and settled back on the ground, plucking a blade of grass from the ground. “I know, mother, but he needs to learn manners, prince or not!”
“That’s not how it works here. Our job is to serve the royal family without question. Sometimes they say mean things, but we can’t do anything about it. Apologies are not yours to demand or accept.”
“That’s not fair,” she mumbled as she wrapped the strand of grass around her finger. “Back home I could say whatever I wanted.”
“I know, honey, I know. But we’re not at home anymore, so the rules there don’t apply. We have to follow the rules that are put in place here. Can you promise that you’ll do that for me?”
“Yes, mother.” It was a phrase that seemed to always be at the tip of her tongue now that constant apologies were littered throughout her days, usually accompanied by a sigh.
“I miss home,” The murmured sentiment was almost too soft for Kura to hear and her heart sank. Her daughter’s gaze was trained on the ground, idle fingers tapping against her legs, and she put a momentary pause to her sewing with a sigh.
“Dear, don’t you have a healing session today with Rika?”
“You know I don’t,” she grumbled. “It’s my day off, which no one seems to remember.”
“Y/N.” Kura’s voice was more firm and she now understood that it wasn’t so much a suggestion as a demand. “I think you should pay Rika a visit.”
She heaved an exasperated sigh and stood up in a far more exaggerated gesture than necessary. “Alright. I’ll see you later tonight, mother.” And as Y/N began her walk back to the palace, a sour feeling brewed in her chest.
Kura watched on, unable to prevent the fear that permeated her thoughts. They were fortunate that the young prince was generous, but along with his mother they might’ve been the only two who shared those views in the royal family. She hated having to constantly admonish her daughter — the girl was too young to constantly live in fear, especially having already been through so much — but in the Fire Nation they couldn’t afford to do anything less. A spitfire girl like her daughter was constantly treading on thin ice, and it was all she could do to keep her safe.
Kura feared the day when she wasn’t there to protect her.
-
After a short walk that consisted of muttering things to herself and taking her anger out on the pebbles unfortunate enough to be in her path, Y/N found herself back at the palace. She let herself into a side entrance meant only for servants and set on her way to the infirmary when she collided with someone else — an apology was already on the tip of her tongue when she recognized it was Prince Zuko once more. She truly had rotten luck.
Y/N shot quick glances around to ensure that they were alone, then lowered her voice just for extra security. “My mom says I’m not supposed to talk to you like this, but I don’t care. Just because you’re the prince doesn’t mean you can just go around bumping into people!” she whispered angrily.
“But— you were the one who bumped into me the first time!”
She could feel her face heat up from embarrassment and she crossed her arms. “Just— whatever! Do you want something or do you just like popping up in places you're not supposed to be?”
“I guess I just wanted to talk to you,” Zuko shrugged. “I’ve never really seen you around before, and you’re interesting.”
Y/N scrutinized him trying to find out if he was tricking her somehow, but after staring at him for a solid ten seconds she finally caved. “Fine,” she said, already beginning to walk. “But you’d better make it fast. I have to get to a healing session.”
He took a few quick steps to catch up to her and frowned. “I’m the prince. Technically I could order you to stop and you would have to listen.”
“Yeah, well when it’s just the two of us, you’re just another boy. I don’t have time to talk to boys for hours.”
His brows creased for a moment as he thought about it, then ultimately shrugged once more. “Okay. You said you were going to a healing session- does that mean you’re a waterbender?”
She nodded, and Zuko waited for her to explain further. He heaved a sigh, realizing that he was going to have to carry this conversation. “Well.. what’s a waterbender doing in the Fire Nation?”
She fixed him with a puzzled look. “I’m a servant. That’s why I’m here.”
“I know that,” he frowned. “But most of the servants here are from the Fire Nation, and there are hardly any around your age. I’m just trying to get to know you better.”
Y/N sighed heavily — she now knew that the child prince of the Fire Nation had zero sense of boundaries, and if she wanted to get him off her back she had to answer to his satisfaction. “My mother is a waterbender from the Northern Tribe. She left home when she was young to travel the world and help who she could with her healing, and eventually she fell in love with an earthbender. That was my father — they ended up marrying and settling down in his village where they had me a few years later. Last month, my village was raided by the Fire Nation, and my mother and I were captured after they discovered we were waterbenders. And now I’m here, being annoyed by a prince.”
Zuko frowned once more — it seemed if he continued hanging out with this girl the expression would be stuck permanently on his face — and he suddenly felt ashamed for pushing. “I’m really sorry,” he muttered. “I had no idea.”
She heaved another sigh and shook her head. “Yeah, well they probably keep a lot of the bad things they do from you. It’s easier to send raids to destroy families when your children don’t know.”
“What happened to your father?” he questioned.
Y/N’s body stiffened, and she had never been more thankful to see the infirmary door. “Save your questions for next time,” she grumbled.
Zuko’s eyes lit up, her earlier stumble going unnoticed, and a small smile found its way across his lips. “There’s gonna be a next time?”
She managed to cover up her own growing smile with an ambivalent shrug. “As long as you don’t bump into me again.” Y/N opened the door and gave him a polite parting nod before disappearing inside.
“Good afternoon, Master Rika,” she said with a small bow. “I know this is unexpected, but my mother insisted that I come here to—”
“Let me guess,” the older woman interrupted with a raised brow. “Kura got tired of you and sent you here to annoy me instead?”
Y/N chuckled and rolled her eyes good-naturedly as she pushed the sleeves of her tunic up to her elbows. “When have I ever annoyed you?”
“That’s a question you don’t want me to answer,” she joked as she rummaged through the closet to get supplies. “Besides, what was that smile for? Meet a boy on your day off? A girl?”
Her eyes widened momentarily and she felt the heat rush to her cheeks intensely. “I don’t ask you about your life while we heal, you shouldn’t ask about mine!”
Zuko, who had been eavesdropping by the door in an extremely un-covert fashion, felt an even bigger smile. The girl was prickly as a cactus, but he found himself strangely drawn to her — not in spite of it, but because of it. He was so used to anyone he talked to outside of his immediate family and friends bending at the knee to fulfill his every will, and it was exhausting at times. But this girl — Y/N, as he had learned — was the complete opposite.
He started to walk away, sure that he was late for some kind of session of his own. Zuko found himself thinking of the glimpse of a smile he got, already finding himself scheming up ways to make it return.
And despite her request, he was almost certain he would try to bump into her again.

with these hands, I vowed to love you
with these hands, I vowed to care for you
and with these hands, I ruined you
Childe (angst)
tw : slight gore and just pure pain
...
It was that time of the year again, going back to the snowy region was a bliss for you. Having to visit your fiancée's family was an unspoken tradition after he introduced you to them. They practically took you in as one of them immediately, especially that little angel brother of his.
Teucer.
The train ride was comfortable , the window giving you the familiar beauty of the snowy landscape of snezhenaya. It was snug inside the rather spacious compartment Childe rented out, even when you told him that you'd rather share a normal one due to your thrifty nature he'd shrug it off, claiming it that he has too much mora and nowhere to spend it on other than you.
Gifts from him would scare you as you knew these weren't anywhere cheap. Everything he gave was expensive, he loved showering you in gifts and it made you feel so overwhelmed.
"Ajax, you're spending too much." you were visibly sweating beside him as he picked out another one of the dresses on display at the local boutique of Liyue.
"I think this one would suit you better, don't you think so love?" of course he wasn't listening, placing the dress in front of you
"Ajax." you frowned at him
" I just want to spoil you." he whines
"I know but sometimes its just..." you stopped yourself before saying anything further in fear of offending him
"Was it too much again?" the tone in his voice softens as he puts back the dress, he knew how you didn't like that habit of his, formed from the first time he saw you down by the docks.
"One dress, Ajax. One is enough since you picked it out for me." you gave in not wanting to see him so dejected, he immediately brightens up as he pecks you on cheek before rushing off to a different aisle of clothing. Sighing, you sat down on the sofa present in the shop, watching the ginger decide thoroughly of what dress to buy.
But of course, your love for one another runs deeper than things bought off gold nor silver. No, it ran deeper than anything else, rivaling the oceanic depths.
"What are you thinking about hmm?" he hums below you, head resting against your lap.
"Im just happy to be visiting again, that's all." you smile, nimble hands brushing through his soft hair "Sleep well?"
"You bet I did." he grins taking your hand and placing a kiss to your beating pulse and then another and another, showering you in his deeply rooted affection. Soon his kisses reached where they are supposed to belong, those soft lips of yours and then inching their way to the sensitive spots on your neck, leaving marks only he can place on you.
Breathless and bothered, you pushed him back "The attendants are gonna see, you idiot." at least you still had some control in you
"They will only arrive when we call them , so its fine to have a little fun before we arrive." there was that sly grin of his as he continued in where you both left off, ears perking to hear more sounds exclusively for him and him only.
"You horny bastard!"
...
It was cozy by the hearth, you and his siblings huddled together in one single fleece blanket, steaming cups of hot cocoa in hand. Childish giggles and hushed stories erupted amongst you. Teucer having wrapped in your arms as he snuggled closer. Anthon and Tonia flanking your sides.
"Hey, who's fiancé do you think you guys are coveting?"
"Oh don't be like that, your siblings just miss them." his mother chided from the couch where she sat, an open book on her lap, she didn't seem to age and always looked so young that at first you were shocked to have been introduced to her.
"But mom, I haven't seen her all day." her son pouts as if he were still a child denied his candy
"Give me a break, you're always clinging onto her you know." his sister rolls those identical thalassic eyes at him "You wont die if you go a day without her."
"Listen here you little---"
"Ajax." you interjected, as much as you enjoy the siblingly banter of theirs, you cant have them going at each other with offensive words. His pleading gaze aimed at you as he practically begged for you both to go home.
"Please?"
"After I put Teucer to bed." you sighed, standing up with the youngest in your arms
"Seriously this guy." his sister groaned "I was having a good time."
"Tonia dear, we can continue our conversations tomorrow." you winked at her, it was a promise
"Fine."
Both of you bid farewell to his mother and made your way towards Teucer's room and tucking him in.
"Happy?" you turned to your fiancée, a narrowed look in your eyes as he grinned beside you
"Of course, sweetheart!" he pecked your lips as he pulled you closer
"Can you not do it in Teucer's room? Have some shame." his siblings' comments were endless, this time it was from his older brother.
"That's why were going home." Childe picked you up as you made a surprised yelp making the other party roll his eyes "Also, get ready to lose tomorrow brother. I'm getting that white deer for my lady."
"I'm looking forward to it."
The walk was short towards Childe's home as he preferred living alone. It was a grandiose manor and you were sure you will never get used to how big it was and filled with such furnitures of the finest quality.
"Well, how was your day darling?" you hummed, arms snaking around his neck
"Oh you wouldn't believe it."
...
It was there.
You felt it in the cold breeze that wafted into the room.
A shift in the flow of the wind, it was different yet familiar at the same time. Leaving the window open as the harsh temperatures of the night climbed and crawled inside. The curtains danced in the turbulent current of the gale, carrying songs only you could hear. Songs that made mountains tremble and build civilizations at the same time.
there was something foreboding, something terrifying and something heavy and dark that devoured anything in its path.
You heard him first before he came in through those doors, that tousled ginger hair of his caked with melting snowflakes in the warm glow of the lamps. His rugged appearance caused by the hunting competition between him and his older siblings induced his worn out state. That soft yet jaded smile of his was what welcomed you as he trudged inside the bedroom, lazily discarding his clothes on the basket for dirty laundry and entering the bathroom for a quick shower.
"why is the window open? " he asks you, sliding inside the warm covers
"I just wanted fresh air ." you smile as you shut the windows and pull the blinds enough for you to see the moon that hung above the sky. Joining him under the covers, you cradled him, his head resting on the crook of your neck. Your hands finding their way into those soft locks of his , entangling them as he hummed softly against you. Those arms of his that held weapons and skin littered with scars both old and new now held you close, so tenderly as if he'd never taken a life before.
"sing me a song, sweetheart. " his queries were simple yet genuine
"of course." you sang until you equated him to a sleeping newborn
It was warm, so warm that you could have mistaken it for a summer afternoon in Liyue, resting on the couch with silken pillows and window showcasing the view of the harbor below. The steaming cups of soothing tea Beidou would brew for you when nights became cold at times she would pay you a visit after trading that would take weeks, months and rarely years.
you slept.
Why is it cold? you wondered, Did Ajax open the windows?
You were blessed by the tsaritsa so such climates shouldn't matter to you.
You woke up.
A shadow was cast over you by the man youve sung to sleep. Virulent blue eyes looked at you with so much abhorrence, for a second you couldnt recognize them and thought it was a stranger to which you were ready to terminate.
"Ajax?" your voice was hoarse, as you slowly lost the feeling in your lips.
He was crazed, still trapped in that dreaming state of his, drifting between experiences. Today was a re-enactment of a memory he would never speak of, not even to you. There were parts of him he'd never tell you, such a soul as yours should never hear.
You choked and coughed as the metallic taste of mortal ichor filled your throat. How could you have not felt anything earlier? Was it because of your futile attempts to coax Ajax back into reality or was it because of the numerous thoughts your mind came up with to he answer as to why he is in such a virulent state. Excruciating pain filled your whole body as you writhed and struggled under his grip. It felt as if something was being ripped out of you.
"Ajax, darling come back to me." you cried, it took so much to even utter a word as you bled out, you know not where but you could feel it. The liquid vital for your survival was seeping out of you, flowing like a lazy river on an autumns day, only that it was warm, sticky and addicting.
"Ajax?" a hiss comes from that mouth, he cringes as you freed your numb hands to hold his face and he let you, seeing as to there was no point in stopping you as you dangerously danced on a tight rope of life and death. You couldn't tell in that delirious disposition of yours if his eyes were shifting between Ajax or the primal eyes of a beast hunting its prey.
It wasn't too late was it?
But why didn't your eyes meet his?
Who snuffed out all the lights?
"I've abandoned that name a long time ago."
The cold took over you completely, freezing you until you broke under his touch with words left dying in your ichor filled lips
and then fear was the last thing you felt.
fear that he might not return to his sweet, charming self.
fear that he will curse everything in his path.
fear that he might attempt to use different various methods to bring back what was lost
and fear of his ruination.
you care not for your death, even in your last minutes of life, you dare not blame him for what he's endured so far. only wishing he never had to experience such in the first place.
This is what the wind warned you about in its lullaby.
...
Childe woke up for the second time.
Oddly more worn out than the day before, but your songs always worked, how come? . He wondered if you left to make breakfast as the covers felt empty as he reached out for you. No, you were a late riser, always having to slumber in the middle of the warm covers of the bed you both share. It was he who mostly did the cooking in the morning. So your presence gone was a displacement in the moment of his waking.
His eyes had to adjust to the view of the room as he sat up, a yawn escaping his lips as he called for you. The pitter-patter sound of the water on the bathroom tiles were non-existent as he strained his ears to hear for any trace of you.
"What..." he was confused as to why the room was trashed, furniture broken in half and strewn about the room, the drapes shredded and laying on the floor and the mirror shattered to pieces, shards sharp enough to cut through skin yet he slept through such a thing?
his first concern was your safety as you had not been present in the room and it him.
the heavy stench of blood lingered in the air. His enjoyment for such things turned into something suffocating because blood was never shed in his own home nor in his very room. In the state of confusion, something dark caught his peripheral vision. A large blemish in the covers beside him, it was dyed a deep dark crimson and he knew well what it was. He began to shake in worry, telling himself not to panic until he finds you safe. All he could remember was you singing him to sleep, held captive in your soft arms, encased in your warmth, so how did it come to such a morning that looked like a result of a monster's tantrum. He calls out for you, his bare feet on the floor as splinters punctured them and he didnt care. he had to find you.
The hallways looked haunting, the portraits on the walls taunting him and he swore he was going lose it if he hadnt found you sooner, every room was achingly vacant and it felt like a dream. He calls for your name again in a frenzy as he rushes through the place, had the mansion been this big? he thinks as he runs down the stairs.
There in the fireplace, the dying embers of fire lit from the night before, wood giving away and turning into coal as the burning smell mingled with similar stench that engulfed the bedroom, the same dark liquid on the sheets was present as well, only that it was painted into the wall and bled down creating a cascading waterfall.
Because there you were, with arms spread out as if welcoming each and every sinner for solace and blessing them with forgiveness, the drying mortal ichor behind you creating a halo. Your lips upturned into something soft as if you'd do anything disgraceful to keep the effeminacy on a soul lost to ruin.
an angel crucified.
that oh so heavenly face of yours could rival anything beautiful, even statues would crumble under you, nations would go to war for you and bodies of those who want you would turn into a throne built for you and you only. You were immortally ethereal even in death.
Ajax, dear sweet Ajax felt his legs give away, energy having siphoned from him as he trembled so much that it could rival the mountains when they shook. Thalassic eyes, wide blown into grief, anguish and all other emotions crashed against him like strong waves that could drown anyone caught up in it. He knelt as pain spread through him like wildfire, burning, scorching and killing. Agonized cries filled the room and if someone were to pass by, they couldve mistaken it for a dying animal. He gasped and choked on his own breath as he dared to look at you, the tears freely flowing from his eyes, down to his pale cheek and finally falling off his trembling chin to be hungrily absorbed by the carpeted floor that was also tarnished by ichor.
He felt crazed as he wept and in that moment of insanity, he remembered. That most disgusting sin he's ever committed that he should never be pardoned for in the life he has right now and the next ones he will be in. Through the blur of tears, he saw his hands and he wished he didnt.
Sullied hands befitting a murderer.
He screams into the ground, doubling over as his hands find their way into his hair, gripping it and ripping out those jacinthe locks of his. He could never forgive himself now and he never will. He wails out loud until his own throat collapsed into a croaking mess.
and then he couldnt find himself no longer.
The sand of time seemed to trickle down slowly. His eldest siblings came looking for him, to continue the hunt. A once peaceful encounter turned into a nightmarish reality as they witnessed their brother rocking back and forth with you gingerly wrapped in his arms, mumbling your name. Lips pressed to your forehead as he prayed and begged for forgiveness over and over in hushed torn whispers as if it were enough to bring you back and cover that gaping hole in your abdomen.
"What did you do?"
...
"Brother, when are they coming back?"
Oh darling Teucer, innocence reflecting off his eyes as he tugged on his brother's sleeve. The toy you gifted him clutched tightly at his side.
"I dont know kid, their mission was sudden so its best to wait. Can you do that Teuc?" the truth about you was kept behind closed doors, only adults can speak of and if they did, it took time to keep the conversation smooth and off of any grief nor sadness when your name reached their tongue. The younger ones would never know until the time is right. When everything was taken care of and hearts moved on.
Your funeral was held in secrecy yet was it was grand. Something that would hold the significance of your memories with them. It was beautiful, your favorite flowers lined along your coffin, and you. Looking ever so ethereal even when death has kissed you, clad in that dress Childe bought for you.
"uh huh!" the youngest ginger nodded eagerly and skipped away as the eldest sighed into his hands, the pressure weighing heavily on his shoulders as he worried more and more about his younger sibling. Another memory, a mind broken and a his soul withering. was there any way to save him?
Days seemed to go by as any glimpse of the man was scarce. Until one day they ceased to see him altogether. It started at lunch, a week after the funeral when it took everyone to coax him into eating more as he lost weight  and trickled down to a whole day. Cooped up in his room, clinging to a pillow with the fading scent of you. and then he was gone, like a snowflake melting upon ones forehead. They grew anxious and thought of the worse until they caught wind that he was back in Liyue from one of the agents only then were they allowed to breathe a little better.
"Childe, what finds you here?" the calm tone of the geo archon's voice broke him out of his trance
"Have you seen my fiance?" Zhongli blinks at the question of the harbinger, he knew what befell you and yet this man before him seemed clueless enough as to what he committed. How Childe did what he did, he seemed to sympathize with in a way that would make him understand his behavior.
" I have not." he couldnt bring himself to tell this man the truth. Perhaps he was sparing him, spearing that mind of his into spiraling down into nothingness and a heart that was held by a thin piece of thread. "Perhaps it is better to enjoy yourself while you wait for them."
To deviate oneself from the loss might be the best way Childe right now until his mind is ready to accept the torment of the heavy truth that would slew this man.
"I see. " he smiles and yet it feels so empty to Childe, the reason? He wouldnt know or atleast his mind wouldnt allow him to know
"Ill see you around then Xiansheng."
Everything that he portrayed lacked and all he could do as he's always did.
...........
i had to.
I hope yall would get Childe :)

Voices.
Pairing: Chris Evans x F!Reader
Genre: nothing but floofy-floof
Warnings: none
Requested: nope
Summary: in which you can hear the voice of your soulmate in your head and Y/N's soulmate is someone really special— her celebrity crush.
Author's Note: Hiya peeps! do y'all know how long ago I wrote this fic, like— at least 2 years ago. damn. so in advance, im sorry if there are any grammatical mistakes or bad punctuation in the fic that I forgot to correct (apology for bad english 😌)
oh and
bold/italics - chris
only italics - y/n
---
Hey, you still there?
Y/N snapped out of a trance and focused on the voice. Yeah, yeah I'm still there, she thought to herself. She was hearing the voice of her soulmate, or rather, was speaking to him, telepathically. The thing is, you could hear the voice of your soulmate in your head. You could talk, hold conversations, but the only thing was that you couldn't ask for their name.
You had to guess. Most of the people made plans, like let's meet here or there and concentrate hard enough, I'll see your name written on a paper. It was a thing, I mean, if you concentrated hard enough, you could see what your soulmate was doing. It was like a cheat code of sorts. Most of them found their soulmate in that way.
You see, Y/N loved surprises, so she wasn't going to find her soulmate just yet. Y/N wanted to figure it out for herself. Your soulmate couldn't hear every single one of your thoughts, though (which was how she had zoned out mid-conversation). Listen, we should meet up sometime.
Aw, already? she thought with a pout on her lips. Yes, I'm very excited to meet you, I've been waiting for too long, the voice replied, chuckling. It was a manly voice, really deep and raspy. She loved it. When Y/N was small, about 4-5 years old, all she could hear were swear words and dirty thoughts; characteristics of a teenage boy.
From that, she inferred, that soulmate was much older than her, about 8-9 years older than her. She didn't mind, She was kind of into older guys anyway… But I like this game we have! Why do you want to ruin it? she asked, shaking her head. Alright, sweetheart, just for you, I'm holding back. But I don't have much patience, the voice laughed. Y/N smiled.
Without even meeting her, Chris loved the voice in his head. She sounded so sweet and welcoming, maybe she was younger than him. He couldn't wait to meet her. Chris had tried to plan their meeting for so long now, but she just wouldn't give in. She was also a feisty one. He smiled to himself as he walked down the street, engaged in thoughts about his soulmate.
In his haste, he accidentally bumped into someone. "I'm so sorry!" he blurted out, instead hearing a soft ouch, shit in his head. His brows furrowed. The lady he had bumped into just kept on walking. Are you alright? he asked his soulmate in his mind. Yeah, just bumped into someone while walking.
I bumped into someone just now too! he told her excitedly, still staring at the lady who had now stopped in her tracks. She turned around, scanning the crowd. Then she looked at him, but maybe she didn't realize that she had bumped into him. Holy shit, I see— Then it all went blank. See what? Chris questioned desperately.
He still wasn't sure whether the woman he had just bumped into was his soulmate or not.
Why can't I say the name of the guy who played the role of Captain America?
Chris froze and stared at the lady, jaw dropped. She was lost in her thoughts, confused. He slowly walked to her and stood in front of her; she stared back at him, her heart racing. This was her celebrity crush, who was currently looking at her as if she hung the moon. But why? Why was he looking at her like that?
"You can't say his name because that's me, you technically can't say his name because you aren't allowed to," Chris whispered to her, smiling softly. Her eyes widened.
"You! You're the voice I hear in my mind! Chris freaking Evans is my soulmate?! How did I not realize?!" The woman exclaimed, shocked. Soon though, she got a wide smile on her face. His eyes widened too, hers was the voice he heard as well! "What's your name?" he asked her as they hugged. "I'm Y/N Y/L/N," she replied, smiling.
"Wanna join me for a coffee?" he offered, holding his hand out. She put her palm on top of his and nodded. Both of them entered a nearby coffee shop. "So, what do you do?" he asked her after ordering two coffees. "Nothing. I'm unemployed right now, just got out of my last job. I gave an interview yesterday at Ralph Lauren, just waiting for a call back," she shrugged.
"Oh, into fashion?" he asked her, smiling. "Yeah, got my degree and all. Just needed a job, Ralph Lauren offers a good amount of money," she chuckled. Chris smiled again. "Reminds me of Rachel Green." She laughed more, which warmed his heart. Her laugh was adorable. Suddenly, her phone rang and she looked at him, wide-eyed.
He nodded dismissively and she picked up the call. She spoke for a while and when she ended the call, she had the biggest smile on her face.
"I got the job at Ralph Lauren, I'm starting tomorrow!" Y/N squealed. They couldn't have picked a better timing. "Congratulations, Y/N!" he told her, grinning. After spending some more time at the cafe, they parted ways. She went home while he went back to the sets where they were filming Avengers: Age of Ultron.
"Hi Chris, you were out for a long time, what's up?" Chris Hemsworth asked, smiling at Chris Evans as they stumbled upon each other. "Nothing, just met my soulmate, had a cup of coffee with her." The older Chris feigned nonchalance. "You what?! That's awesome, man! So, how is she, what does she do?" Hemsworth asked him excitedly as both of them walked inside.
Robert and Scarlett were there, talking. "She's so beautiful, I stopped functioning when I saw her. She works at Ralph Lauren, she's a fashion designer," Chris told him with a smile. Robert and Scarlett looked up. "Who?" Scarlett questioned. "Y/N," he said simply, sitting beside Robert. "Who's that?" Robert inquired. "My soulmate." Chris smiled, as if in a trance.
"Boy, you look like you're in love," Scarlett laughed. "Because I am, she's that beautiful," he told her adamantly. "Whoa, did you ask her out?" Robert snorted. "I'm back from our first date." We had our first date right now, didn't we? he asked her in his mind.
Of course we did, I loved it. Hope to meet you again soon, her voice replied and he could practically feel her smile.
Sure, I'm in town for a few more months, I'll mind-text you as to when I'm free, he told her, sporting a smile on his face. She outright laughed in the comfort of her own home. Mind-text? Sounds fun, she agreed and focused on the Netflix series she was watching, turning off the "magical telepathic link" between them.
Chris, too, focused on the others only to see them smiling at him. "Talking to her?" He nodded at Scarlett. A few minutes later, all of them went to another room to begin with the shooting of a new scene.
---
Y/N danced as she prepared dinner, singing along to You Don't Know Me by Jax Jones. It had been a month since she last saw Chris. He had promised her a date, but he didn't get time. She couldn't blame him, he was a busy man. Y/N was shouting the lyrics of the song in her head, unaware of the fact that Chris was snooping in on her mind.
Hey, calm down, she heard Chris chuckling in her mind and shrieked in real life. What are you— are you snooping on my mind? Chris! she thought, scandalized. He laughed more. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I wanted to ask you out. Are you free right now? We could meet in the same coffee shop, he asked. She grinned and nodded to herself. Of course, I'll be there in 15.
She quickly got dressed, wearing a pair of track pants and a t-shirt (like she was wearing on their first date). She didn't bother with her hair or makeup, it looked good anyway, she just bolted out of the house. Y/N entered the coffee shop to see Chris already sitting there, wearing a suit. She cursed herself mentally, making Chris look up.
He stifled a laugh. She went and sat in front of him.
"I'm so sorry I look like a single mother of two kids who hasn't slept in a year," she moaned, "I didn't know you were gonna show up in a suit." She facepalmed for good measure. "It's quite alright, you look beautiful. I wouldn't have you any other way, I should say. I'm coming back from a party right now, therefore the suit."
She blushed softly at his compliment. He ordered two coffees for them and they started talking. "So, how's your job at Ralph Lauren?" Chris asked, smiling at her. "It's amazing, I got promoted. Now I'm the head of the department, with my own office and all," she told him, smiling back. "That's great! Oh, congratulations, honey," he grinned.
"Thanks," she muttered, blushing slightly when he called her a nickname. "You look cute while blushing, has anyone ever told you that?" Chris winked as their coffees arrived. "No one, ever. I don't interact with people much, it's a tedious job," she half-joked, smiling.
"Really! So who are the people you talk to?" he joined in. "Well, there's my assistant, my mother, my bro and you. That's all. I've got some friends, but I rarely talk to them, only on the phone while texting, that is," she shrugged. "Nice, nice," he nodded as they finished their coffees. "Allow me to drop you home," Chris offered, taking out a key which she found out was for his bike as they left the café.
"No it's alright, I'll go," she refused immediately. "Nonsense, you're practically my girlfriend! I'm going with ya," he shook his head. They looked like an odd couple; one wearing a suit while the other looked like she had just woken up. Surprisingly enough, the one who looked like she just woken up had the best fashion sense among them. "Hop on," Chris grinned.
She sat down behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. Both of them chatted for the 2 minutes that took them to get to Y/N's home. Once they reached her building, she got down from Chris's bike and turned to him.
"Thanks, Chris, this has been an amazing second date. Can't wait for the third," she told him with a smile. "Me too," he smiled back. A few seconds later, she turned to leave but Chris suddenly grabbed her hand, turning her around. "Wha—" She didn't get to finish her sentence as Chris pressed his lips to hers. She kissed back, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"I just had to, sweetheart," he panted as they pulled away from each other, breathless. "Wow," she breathed out as Chris rested his forehead against hers. "So, um, see you on the third date, yeah?" Y/N giggled as they stepped away from one another, smiling. "I'll make it as quick as possible. Can't stay away from you, darling," he winked.
"How flattering," she winked back and turned to leave, purposely adding a sway to her hips knowing that he was watching. And fuck, was he watching. "Oh, the things you do to me, my dear Y/N."
"I heard that!"
"Good!"

And his wife is secretly pregnant :o so they get into a scrabble and all is revealed but happy ending coz i cant do sad ending ny heart might shatter
Baby Daddy
Tumblr media
hey, bub. thank you so much for requesting! here's an asahi angst to fluff with a pregnant wife. i hope you like it ❤️ stay healthy and hydrated!
Tumblr media
genre: angst to fluff
warnings: mentions of nausea, mentions of monthly period, suggestive content
ft. asahi azumane
reminder 1: lashing out on your wife is not a good practice, especially if you're unaware that the said wife is carrying your child inside her womb
reminder 2: never slam the door shut on your wife
Tumblr media
With shaky hands, you stared at the pregnancy test you were holding. Tears of happiness were streaming down your cheeks as you took in the two lines signifying that you are indeed pregnant.
You've been feeling nauseous these past few weeks and the moment you noticed that you skipped your monthly period, you immediately bought a pregnancy test to confirm your suspicions.
And so, there you are, now holding the positive test as you let the feeling of hope and happiness embrace your being. You smiled and reached down to place your free hand on your nonprominent baby bump. Sure, it was too small to be noticeable yet but the fact that you knew that there's a life forming inside you made you happier than you could've ever expected.
"Hi, baby. I know you can't hear mommy yet, but I want you to know that she already loves you very much," you whispered while rubbing small circles on your skin.
Once you finally calmed yourself down from the exciting news, you took a shower and put on some presentable clothes, the red silk of the dress you're wearing shaping your body perfectly.
You stared at yourself on the mirror and smiled in satisfaction. Despite how the dress accentuated your curves, it wasn't too tight to suffocate your lower belly. You put on some light make up and kissed your wedding ring as you finished.
The next thing you did was proceed to the kitchen to prepare some fancy dinner for both you and your husband, giving the table a finishing touch with a bottle of wine for Asahi.
You glanced at the clock and noticed that it was already 9 in the evening yet your husband was still out. You decided to send him a message but only frowned when you received no reply. Sighing, you instinctively placed your hand on your lower belly as you felt a sudden distress.
What if he didn't want the baby?
What if he leaves you?
What if he realizes that he no longer loves you?
What if-
The sound of door opening interrupted you from your thoughts and you immediately stood up to welcome your husband.
Lately, Asahi had been coming home late, always overworking himself to the point of exhaustion. To be honest, you were seriously starting to get worried but everytime you tried to confront him, he would only grunt at you and head to sleep.
You made your way to Asahi and helped him with the stuff that he was carrying, making sure that you only took the light stuff in your arms. "Welcome home, love," you said affectionately and pressed a lingering kiss on his lips.
Unlike the usual, Asahi didn't wrap his arm around your waist nor buried his face on the crook of your neck. You frowned at the lack of affection but decided to let it pass.
"What's the occasion?" he asked, finally taking notice of the food you prepared. The smell of steak was still lingering in the air and despite how it slightly made you feel lightheaded, you held it in knowing how much Asahi loved it everytime you cook steak.
"Nothing," you said as you placed some of his stuff down. "I just wanted to make you some nice dinner since we haven't been spending that much time lately."
Instead of answering, he only sighed and flashed you an apologetic smile. He made his way to his seat and waited for you before eating.
Silence enveloped the two of you and you can't help but feel your palms starting to get sweaty. The way he seemed to rush his food made you feel as if he was only eating as to not offend you. As you were about to speak, he downed his glass of wine in one go before standing up.
"I'm finished. I'll go ahead to bed, okay?" your husband said as he placed a kiss on top of your head, the sweet gesture doing nothing to soothe the negative feeling bubbling inside you.
You stood up and wrapped your arms around him from the back, hands gripping each other to lock him to your embrace. "Love, I missed you," you murmured against his back.
"Y/n, I don't have time for this. I'm tired, okay?" Asahi tried to uncoil your arms around him and groaned when you won't let him.
"Don't want to let go yet. I know that if I do, you'll go to bed again and when I wake up, you'll be gone. Can't I have even just a little bit of your time?" Your voice almost cracked at the end as the toll of his absences finally made its way to you.
He applied a little force to remove your arms before turning around to face you, a deep scowl now present on his face as he stared down at you. "Time? You want time? I'm sorry if I don't give you enough. Unlike you who just stay at home and do nothing, I have work. I have priorities so I'm sorry if you think that I'm not giving you enough attention. Geez, y/n. I'm your husband, not your damn babysitter."
"You call yourself a husband when you can't even prioritize your own wife?" you spat angrily at him.
You knew that you offended him by the way his jaw clenched yet you stood your ground because you knew that the problem wouldn't be resolved unless you confronted it head on.
"I wasn't aware that it's a wife's job to nag at her husband nonstop," he spat back. "Stop being childish and maybe then you'll do something productive and not just spending your time sitting pretty."
Asahi didn't let you speak and opted on turning his back on you. Within a few seconds, you were left alone as the door of your bedroom slammed shut.
You felt your blood run cold as you stared at the door in front of you. "I'm sorry," you whispered, not to yourself nor to your husband but to your baby.
Quietly, you began to clean up the table and wash the dishes. You groaned as you felt an upcoming headache starting to form, no doubt due to the stress you're currently experiencing.
You dried your hands and turned off the lights before making your way to the guest room. Your husband basically slammed the door on you which means that he didn't want you to disturb him, right? So if it's space that he wants, it's space that he'll get.
You curled yourself against the bed, the empty space beside you making you feel lonely. You were used to sleeping beside Asahi. Despite him always coming home late, you never missed the feel of him pressing apologetic kisses on your skin.
It wasn't long until a sob escaped your lips. Your fingers gripped the pillow beside you tightly as you burried your face against the soft cotton, silently wishing that it was your husband you're embracing instead of the white material.
Unbeknownst to you, Asahi was just as distressed as you were.
He couldn't stop himself from tossing and turning as he anxiously waited for you to open the door and fit yourself in his arms. He didn't mean to slam the door at you. He only applied a bit of force not knowing that the impact would be that much.
God, he didn't even want to fight you.
But the feeling of stress and exhaustion from his work along with the expectations of people made him irritable which then resulted to him snapping at you.
Not being able to resist you anymore, Asahi swallowed his pride and made his way to the bathroom to splash his face with cold water to wake himself up before he talks to you.
But he guessed that the cold water was no longer needed.
Because there sitting on top of the toilet seat are two pregnancy tests with both positive results. He carefully picked up one of the tests and stared at it with shock evident on his face.
You're pregnant.
You're carrying his unborn child and he just shouted at you, called you childish and disregarded your feelings.
Instant regret made its way to him and he felt his heart rate picking up. "Shit," Asahi whispered to himself as he paced left and right inside the bathroom, hands gripping the pregnancy tests tightly.
Asahi quickly made his way to the living room, eyes widening in fear upon seeing you nowhere. He surveryed the whole house while calling out for your name and only stopped when he saw your curled up form inside one of the guest rooms.
He sighed in relief and made his way to you, gently scooping you in his arms to carry you back to your shared bedroom. He removed the few stray hair from your face and placed a small kiss on your forehead and both of your swollen eyes, obviously the result of crying.
"I'm sorry..." he whispered as he showered your skin with kisses.
"Azumane," you called out with a raspy voice as you woke up from the light feeling of lips trailing on your skin.
Your husband stopped what he was doing and looked at you. "You're pregnant." It wasn't a question, no. It was a statement, one that was enough to bring tears into your eyes.
"I am," you said with a nod and took his hand, placing it on the spot where your bump will soon make its appearance.
Despite being cover by the dress you're wearing, he leaned down and kissed your lower belly lovingly. Pulling away, Asahi shifted himself to lay beside you, his hand reaching for yours to bring it to his lips.
"Im so sorry for what happened earlier," he whispered. He took your lack of response as a signal to continue speaking, one hand sliding around your waist to pull you closer to him.
"Im sorry for shouting at you and for neglecting my job as a husband. I was too focused on proving myself to my co-workers that I forgot the person waiting for me at home." He let go of your hand and wiped your tears with his thumb, his hand cupping your face as you leaned to his touch. "Please don't cry, my love. You know I hate seeing you cry."
"It's your fault," you mumbled with a shaky voice. "It's just... It's so unfair that I'm your wife but I still have to ask for your time and attention when in reality, you should be the one to give those to me without me asking."
"I know. I know, love." Guilt and regret were evident in his voice and the more Asahi watch you let everything out, the more he hated himself for being a bad husband. "But I promise you it won't happen again. I'll be a better husband and the best father to our child. So please..."
You nodded and buried your face to his chest, his scent helping you calm down as you cried everything out. Your hand gripped the back of his shirt tightly as you sobbed in his arms, warmth enveloping you as he rubbed your back soothingly.
"You're okay, we're okay," Asahi whispered, pressing a kiss on top of your head as he held you without any intent of letting you go. "We're okay, right?"
You looked up at him with tear stained cheeks. "We're okay," you said reassuringly.
After a few minutes of enjoying each other's embrace, Asahi slowly pulled away. A whine escaped your lips making him chuckle slightly.
"You dressed up for me?" he asked as he raked his eyes down your figure.
"I wanted to look good for you," you said shyly. "I haven't got the chance to change since you basically slammed the door on me."
"I already apologized with words." Asahi gave your lips a peck before settling himself between your legs, eyes looking up at you as he slowly hiked your dress up, a gasp escaping your lips as his fingertips grazed your thighs.
"Now let me apologize with my actions."

Pairing: George Weasley x reader

————————————————————————
Y/N is very content with being a background character, she’s quite used to it actually. Growing up with 3 older and much louder brothers she was pretty happy with sticking to the sidelines, letting them be noisy and crazy while she kept to herself. Y/N grew up with mostly boys around her, her mother passed away when she was young. Y/N would always beg her brothers and her dad for stories of her mother, wanting to feel closer to her. Y/N’s dad would fondly retell memories of his beautiful wife, reminiscing on how witty and charismatic she was. He’d mention all the small, quirky things she would do which made him fall hard and fast for her. Y/N longed for that kind of love, she longed for someone to take notice of her in the way her dad did for her mum. Ever since Y/N was a little girl she yearned to be heard and seen but that proved difficult when you’re as shy and quiet as her.
Judging by most of the people in Y/N’s life she seemed to attract the boisterous types, guessing her quiet nature balanced them out. She loved her friends with her entire heart, even if their personalities were the opposite of hers, Y/N wouldn’t change their qualities if she could.
One of her friends, although still lively and vibrant as the others, also had a calm and tranquil side to him. George Weasley. Y/N had only known George for a few years having met at Lee Jordan’s 18th birthday 3 years ago. Somehow that night she had ended up climbing a tree with the tall redhead whom she had only met 30 minutes prior.
“How the hell did you get up to that branch?” Y/N mumbled, trying to figure out how to reach the higher branch where George Weasley was currently sitting, his long legs swinging back and forth as he chuckled at the girl below him.
“I used that branch sticking out there and then swung my leg up to get here.” George points to the branch to the girls left.
Y/N grunts as she attempts what George said but huffs and pouts her lip feeling defeated, “you forget that I have little legs, unlike you Mr. giraffe.”
George rolls his eyes and stretches his hand out, “try again, I’ll help pull you up.”
Somehow, George manages to pull Y/N up and they sit comfortably next to one another up high in the tree. “There you go little bunny, don’t go falling off now.”
Y/N rolls her eyes at the nickname wishing she had brought her cider up with her feeling very self-conscious and unsure of what to do her shaking hands.
The pair fall into a comfortable silence, watching the party goers below them gathered around a very intoxicated birthday boy chanting as he chugs another beer, “we love to drink with Lee cause Lee is our mate and when we drink with Lee he gets it down in 8…7…”
Their voices drown out as George gently nudges Y/N’s shoulder pulling her attention back to him, “soo, Y/N I hear you’re not much of the talker?”
Y/N blushes hard grateful for the lack of light outside. “No I guess not. Not many are interested in what I have to say.”
George smiles, his eyes not leaving the girl beside him, “well I am. Tell me something.”
Y/N chews on her bottom lip nervously and looks back at the drunk crowd, “like what?”
George shrugs, he didn’t really mind what the conversation was about, he just wanted to hear the pretty girl speak. “I dunno, anything. Tell me about something that makes you happy.”
Y/N racks her brain for something to talk about, her palms getting sweaty from the long silence. Finally, she settles on something that always fills her with joy, her mother.
“Um okay so,” she starts staring at the leaves swaying in the tree, pushing down the anxiety. “Before my mother died she always had this film camera with her, my dad used to joke around saying that she loved this camera more than him,” Y/N chuckles quietly before continuing “She would take photos of the most random things, we have this big box back home filled with all the photos she ever took with that camera.” Y/N pauses, fumbling with her fingers. “I wish we still had the camera. You see after my mum passed, dad had to look after us 4 kids and with only one income coming in, it was pretty tough. For my 12th birthday I reeeaaally wanted a new bike, I’d complained for years that I couldn’t have my brothers old one because it was a gross boy’s bike. So, my dad sold my mums camera to get me a pink one. Kind of wish he didn’t because I would have loved to still have mum’s camera with us.”
Y/N finished and chewed her lip realising speaking about her dead mother probably wasn’t a great conversation piece, but any story of her mother always made her feel warm inside.
George hadn’t taken his eyes off her throughout the whole story, his heart fluttering when her eyes had lit up as she spoke about her mother.
“I’m sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear, it was the first thing that popped into my head.” Y/N mumbled.
George simply shook his head and replied, “you don’t ever have to apologise to me for saying what’s on your mind Y/N. I’ll listen to whatever you have to say.”
For the first time in a while, Y/N felt seen.
Y/N’s phone dings and she pulls it from her pocket to read the message.
-Hey bunny :) so 4 tonight, we’re aiming to get to urs at like 7. does that work for u?
It was from George. Even if she didn’t have his number saved, she’d be able to tell it was from the redhead simply from his choice of nickname. Y/N hated when he called her bunny but George insisted on using the nickname ever since Lee’s 18th mainly because he thought it was cute not that he would tell her that.
Y/N’s heart thumped harder in her chest purely from the fact that George had texted her. Her crush on George had amplified over the years of knowing the boy, feeling both thankful and uneasy at the fact that he had so effortlessly slotted into their tight friendship group mainly because he was always around making Y/N a stuttering mess.
Y/N’s fingers fumble as she types out a response, it was her birthday today and all her friends we’re persistent in throwing her a party. They had agreed to a small gathering at Y/N’s place, Y/N didn’t want them to make such a fuss over it.
-Hey Georgie, 7 is perfect! Cant wait.
-See u then bunny, hope ur ready to get ur drink on ;)
-IDK, after the other weekend I dont think im ready to face alcohol again
-nope! no excuses from u, u only turn 21 once
Y/N chuckles at George’s message and goes back to tidying her house, ready for tonight.
~~~~
As soon as it hits 7pm her friends are barging through her front door lugging drinks.
Each of them greet Y/N giving her a hug and wishing her happy birthday.
“We’ll do presents later, first let’s get some drinks into us!” Angelina cheers as she starts to mix some deadly concoction. Alicia connects her phone to the speaker, the living room filling with music.
Y/N jumps as a voice pipes up from behind her, “happy birthday little bunny.”
She turns facing George as he places a brightly coloured wrapped box on the counter with the other presents. He opens his arms, engulfing her into a giant hug. Y/N wraps her arms around his waist, giving him a tight squeeze, “thanks” she mumbles into his chest before pulling away looking up at his warm eyes. They stare at each other for a second before the moment is broken when Fred places something on Y/N’s head.
“A birthday tiara for the birthday girl” Fred states loudly, Y/N glances at the mirror hanging from the wall on her left sees a plastic silver and pink tiara perched upon her head.
“Oh god,” Y/N mumbles adjusting it slightly.
Lee shouts over the music, drawing everyone’s attention over to him. “Okay everyone, the ever lovely Angie has made us each a questionable looking but delicious drink to start the night. So get your butts over here and let’s get this party started!”
A few hours and many, many drinks later, everyone is huddled in the living room, sitting on the couches watching Y/N open her presents. So far, she had gotten some perfume from Angelina, chocolates and a gorgeous photo frame from Alicia and Fred and Lee had gifted Y/N with a bottle of wine and voucher from the little boutique at the corner of her street. Y/N’s cheeks were hurting from smiling so much and her heart swelled at the sweet gifts her friends had gotten her.
“Okay, only one left,” Alicia says, clapping her hands excitedly.
“Probably the best one,” Fred whispers to Lee.
“Of course it’s going to be the best one you idiot,” Angelina says as a matter of fact, overhearing the two boys.
George, who is sitting to Y/N’s right, hands over the brightly colour box, trying to hide his excitement and nerves. “Here you go Y/N, happy birthday.”
The box feels heavy in Y/N’s grasp as she places it in her lap tearing off the wrapping paper. Y/N glances around, noticing everyone’s eager eyes on her. She sees Angelina nudge Alicia’s side smiling at each other knowingly. Y/N furrow her brows, slightly confused then draws her attention back to the box. She ripped off the paper carefully and uncover a brown box, no hints as to what is inside.
“Oh my god, hurry up and open it the suspense is killing me!” Fred says impatiently, George whacks him across the head telling him to shut up.
Y/N take off the lid and immediately her mouth gapes open finally seeing what’s inside. She shakily lifts the film camera out of the box and hold it so gently as if it’s made of diamonds and gold.
Small tears prick in Y/N’s eyes, shocked and surprised at George’s gift, it looks exactly like the one her mother had.
She manages to squeak out a small, “you remembered?” referring to the first conversation they had 3 years prior.
George has a small smile etched onto his lips. “Of course I did, I remember everything you tell me. I take a lot of pride in knowing everything about you actually.” He says, puffing his chest out proudly.
“Yeah like what?” Y/N cradles the camera in her arms.
“Well,” George starts. “I know that you hate the smell tequila because it reminds you of your 18th when you spent most of the night by the toilet. I know that you can’t sleep if the room is dead quiet. I know that you love buying plants but can never seem to keep them alive. I know you never wear matching socks because you think it’s a fun way to spice up an outfit.” He finishes smugly.
Alicia and Angelina let out a small aww in the background reminding Y/N of the 4 other sets of eyes watching her and George right now.
“Well there’s one thing you don’t know about me.”
“Yeah? What’s that then?” George counters.
Y/N doesn’t know where she musters up the courage from to speak the next words, maybe from the alcohol buzzing through her body or finally being sick of keeping this to herself for the past 3 years. Whatever it may be, she’s rather proud of herself, ignoring the way her stomach churns.
“That I have a huge crush on you.”
She expected George to laugh in her face before rejecting her gently. What Y/N definitely didn’t expect was him to cradle her face in his large hands, pressing a sweet but passionate kiss to her pink lips. She squeaks in surprise before melting into the kiss, gripping onto his shirt tightly, scared he would slip away.
Much to Y/N’s dismay George pulls away from the kiss tucking a strand of her hair back behind her ear, “no I knew that too.”
“Wha-how?” Y/N stutters.
The attention is pulled to Alicia as she begins to speak, “it wasn’t much of a secret babe. Everybody knew you were crushing on George. Can’t believe it took either one of you so long to do something about it.”
“Little Georgie here spent months trying to find that camera for you as a way to confess his undying love for you.” Fred reaches over and ruffles his twin’s hair who shoves him off.
“Yep, we were all so bloody excited for you to open his presents so you two can stop pining over each other.” Lee adds downing the rest of his drink then standing up. “Right, now the two love birds have finally confessed their feelings. Who’s up for a round of beer pong? Reigning champion here has yet to be defeated.”
“You’re on Jordan, that ego of yours has gotten large enough.” Fred challenges, everyone moving over to the table to set up for beer pong. Leaving Y/N and George alone on the couch.
George wraps his lanky arm around Y/N’s shoulder pulling her into his side, “I hope you’re enjoying your birthday bunny.”
Y/N grins widely, playing with her new camera before lifting it up and aiming it at George. “best birthday ever Georgie, thank you.” She squeezes the button down, snapping a picture of George who is staring at her like she’s the only person in the world.
Y/N is very content with being a background character, she’s quite used to it actually. But for once she doesn’t mind being the centre of someone’s undivided attention.
It was the day after your three-month anniversary with Bakugou. You’d spent all day together yesterday, and for the most part, everything seemed normal.
Perhaps it was because Bakugou wasn’t texting the girl he’d been secretly hanging out with behind your back all day, or maybe it was because he’d planned to meet up with said girl after you finally left him alone.
Bakugou wasn’t interested in you anymore, but frankly stringing you along for his own benefit was a lot easier. Breaking it off would leave a bad image on his part, and the last thing he wanted was a smudged reputation.
Which was why he kept quiet about this other girl, and only met with her when he was certain he wouldn’t be caught. Sneaking off when everyone went to sleep because they assumed he was asleep.
It didn’t help that they lived fairly close to each other so taking time to leave school meant they could hang out with one another at their homes and suspicious eyes would be none the wiser.
Bakugou had lied to his mother about still being with you and claimed that you’d just moved on and left, making you look like the bad guy. So Mitsuki welcomed this newer girl, and showered her in affection much like she had done with you.
Except you were still with Bakugou. And he’d just told you he loved you again. Kissing the top of your head, seemingly unphased as you yawned, ready for bed.
“Goodnight.” You spoke quietly, wishing Bakugou a good night’s rest as you headed off down to Kirishima’s dorm, where you planned to watch him play a new game he’d recently gotten.
“Hey, Kiri!” You smiled, giving him a big warm hug. Kirishima’s heart ached at the little nickname you’d given him, squeezing and wrenching inside his chest as he smelled your sweet-smelling shampoo, your arms squeezing around him as you hugged him.
“Hey (Y/n), is that a new sweater?” Kirishima asked, smiling as he admired the crimson color.
“It is! I’m glad you noticed. It kinda reminds me of your hair now that I think about it.” You giggle, reaching up to ruffle his soft hair. He’d recently washed it and it currently laid down, unlike his normal hairstyle, his large pointy spikes were nowhere in sight.
Kirishima’s little heart only began to beat faster as you entered his room, sitting beside him as he loaded up the game. Resting your head on his shoulder, you would cheer him on as he played, currently whooping ass against Sero and Kaminari who he was playing with.
“Kaminari asked why you couldn’t come watch him play.” Kirishima chuckled, glancing over at you, noticing how tired you looked.
“Well, maybe I’d go watch him play if he didn’t suck.” You joked, hearing Sero ‘ooh’ over the burn you just slapped over Kaminari.
“Damn Kaminari, they got you good.” Kirishima teased, nudging your side as you giggled, sitting up. You stretched your arms and yawned. Kirishima quickly muted his mic and paused.
“You tired, let me walk you up to your dorm.” Kirishima was ready to tell the boys he’d be back in a few but you shook your head.
“I’ll be alright, keep playing. Kick some more ass for me.” You ruffled his hair once more and patted his head before heading out of his room, waving as he waved back.
You made it back to your room and got ready for bed, nearly falling asleep without realizing you didn’t have your phone.
It’d been maybe three hours, before you rolled over, curious about what time it was when you noticed the blank space on your nightstand, where your phone would usually charge.
Sitting up tiredly, you rubbed your eyes and glanced around. You’d completely lost it, you couldn’t find it anywhere, in your dorm at least. You were unsure if you’d had it when you visited Kirishima, but your only thoughts went to Bakugou.
Maybe you’d left it in his dorm when you visited to study with him. Now that you thought about it, you’d brought your books and stuff back down before he went to bed and you returned to tell him goodnight, but he never let you back inside.
It was dark outside, and completely silent in the dorms. Everyone was clearly asleep. Or so you thought.
Creeping up to Bakugou’s dorm, you were surprised to see a little light peeking under the door. You weren’t one to snoop, but you certainly knew for Bakugou to be up at this hour, something would have to be up, maybe he was sick, or couldn’t sleep?
You pressed your ear to the door and listened for a few seconds.
Those few seconds, time stood still.
“So when are we gonna make it official?” A girl’s voice wrecked through you, your eyes watering as you listened.
“I’m working on it. I just need (Y/n) to fucking leave me alone. All they do is follow me around like a lost fucking puppy, it’s annoying.”
This was not happening. He’d just said he loved me a few hours earlier. Why was he being so mean?
“Good, because I don’t how much longer I can keep this a secret. I need to see you, Katsu.” You wanted to throw up. You felt so sick. So hurt.
So betrayed.
You were overwhelmed with emotions, sadness, despair, hurt, anger.
Raising a fist, you pounded on that door like your life was in danger. You could hear a few whispers and footsteps as Bakugou quickly opened the door, surprised to see you. You barged in, shooting one glance at the girl sitting on his bed in one of his shirts, the same one you’d worn earlier that week.
You found your phone laying under a few papers on his dresser. You turned to see Bakugou just staring at you.
“Hey-”
“Don’t” You say quietly as you speed-walk past him and back down the hall. Bakugou doesn’t follow you, or try to stop you, or call out for you.
He slinks back into his dorm and resumes his time with his new girl, taking that as his sign that he was officially single.
Clenching your phone in one shaking hand, you can’t help but feel utterly worthless. And somehow your feet seemed to move on their own, right down to Kirishima’s dorm.
When you felt the door open, and heard a sleepy Kirishima ask if everything was okay, you finally realized you’d trekked down to his dorm without even realizing.
“N-no. It’s not okay, I’m not okay.” You whisper as he pulls you into him for a hug. He stands there, consoling you quietly, not even saying anything. Just rubbing your back as you sob into his shoulder.
He’s concerned, that’s evident by the way his expression is softened, and his eyebrows knit together, wondering just what had happened to have landed you here.
But as he finally pulls you back into his room, the only light coming from a pink and orange glowing Himalayan salt lamp. You’re shaking in his arms as you sink to the floor.
It’s the first time Kirishima’s ever seen you like this.
So hurt.
“You don’t have to say anything, but I’m worried about you. You tell me when you’re ready okay? Do you need anything right now?” Kirishima’s spoke quietly, and softly, his large, rough hands for once being so gentle and delicate.
You sat and thought for a few minutes, just shaking in his arms as you tried to calm down. You were overwhelmed, too anxious about what had happened, if you weren’t enough for Bakugou.
But you finally spoke up, breaking the silence that had fallen over the two of you.
“I-I’m...” You breathed, finally looking up at Kirishima. You could feel the snot as it leaked from your nose and how wet your cheeks, chin, and neck were, but Kirishima didn’t look at you any differently.
With red puffy eyes you glanced down and opened your mouth to speak.
“Bakugou, he was, I think...” You paused.
I saw what I saw. I heard her. That girl. He was cheating.
“Bakugou cheated on me.” You whimpered, more tears beginning to fall from your eyes. Your face fell back into Kirishima’s shoulder as your frame shook from pure despair.
Kirishima didn’t respond. He sat, his hands rubbing up and down your spine as you cried, anger boiling inside him.
Never, not even once, had he assumed, or even pondered that Bakugou would ever be unfaithful. His priorities of being on top seemed to overweigh everything else.
So when he’d started dating you, he was albeit a bit jealous, but he supported you and Bakugou’s relationship, despite wanting to be with you himself. But soon he realized you were taken by someone else, and he would respect that.
He changed his usual somewhat flirty comments, and kept things strictly friendly, but he couldn’t help but notice you still made his heart race.
But Bakugou, cheating? That was something he didn’t see coming. But regardless if it was shocking or not, it wasn’t right.
Kirishima didn’t agree with his actions at all, and seeing just how hurt you had been by his actions, it made him feel even angrier.
“Kirishima, I-I don’t know what to do. I thought he loved me. Why didn’t he love me?” You looked at him with tears pouring from your eyes. Broken sobs cracked from your wet lips, and Kirishima’s heart shattered.
Kirishima closed his eyes and placed a hand behind your head, nuzzling your face into his chest as he leaned into you, burying his own face into your shoulder.
“He’s an idiot. It’s gonna be alright. I promise.” Kirishima hushed you quietly, rocking you back and forth in his hold as you finally began to calm down, eventually falling asleep as he came to halt.
Reaching for a blanket, Kirishima wrapped it around you and held you tightly against him. His blood boiled inside him as he began to doze off himself.
“You are so amazing, please don’t let anyone tell you differently.” Kirishima whispered against your hair, resting his own eyes.
As time drained on during everyone’s slumber, a storm was brewing within Kirishima.
Waking in the morning, you awoke in Kirishima’s arms, just where you remembered falling asleep. You nudged him awake but that usual morning smile you wore whenever you’d see him in the common area for breakfast was no where in sight.
“Good morning.” You spoke quietly. It was awkward. But Kirishima quickly ruffled your hair.
“Bed head.” Kirishima pointed out, smiling at the disarray of your locks. You quickly turned away to try and fix what he was talking about.
“Hey relax, it’s okay.” Kirishima chuckled.
“I’m sorry for waking-”
“Don’t apologize. We’re gonna get through this together okay? I’m here to help however you need me too. Do you want me to walk with you to school?” Kirishima offered, helping you stand up as you both began to wake up.
“I think that would be nice. Thank you.” You can’t help but stare at the ground, feeling like a burden. You’d roped Kirishima in with your problems and now-
“I’m really sorry that Bakugou did that. It’s unmanly as hell. If he was unhappy he should’ve talked to you about it, going behind your back was straight up fucking idiotic.” Kirishima’s words sort of spilled out, immediately catching your attention.
“I didn’t mean to-”
“It’s okay. I agree with you. If he was upset or unhappy, I just wish he would’ve told me.” Your bottom lip quivers as you speak about it, the memories flashing through your mind of seeing that girl on his bed, him talking about you like you weren’t even together.
About how he despised you.
“Go get ready for class, I’ll meet you by the stairs in ten?” Kirishima was already pulling out his uniform and removing his shirt as you headed toward the door.
You nodded and left quickly, running to your room avoiding being seen. And just as he’d stated, you met up by the steps in ten minutes and headed downstairs.
And there he was, waiting, like nothing had happened. Kirishima’s hand shot to yours, holding it tightly as you walked in the opposite direction. He lead you through the back doors and outside where you took a deep breath of the crisp morning air.
“It’s gonna be difficult, but try not to think about him. Every time you find yourself drifting back to him, try and replace it with something that makes you happy, like uh braiding my hair! Or making paper airplanes with Kaminari and how you beat him every time.” Kirishima laughs, lifting your chin up with his thumb and forefinger.
“He did a really scummy thing, and it hurts, I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but I’m gonna help however I can, and however you need me too.” Kirishima’s support was flooding your system. Your heart felt warm, despite feeling broken and cold hours earlier.
You didn’t thank him verbally, instead you threw your arms around his shoulders, hugging him tightly, smiling.
Kirishima hugged you back and smiled. He missed your smile.
Days turned into weeks, and things had slowly gone back to normal. You smiled more often. You informed Kaminari and Sero about your split from Bakugou, and eventually told most your friends, but not in detail.
However, Kirishima stayed by your side the most. And as you healed, you realized how much Kirishima had been there for you through all of it. And how maybe you had possibly got tied into things too fast with Bakugou.
While a part of you did love Bakugou during your time together, now you were beginning to realize how you really felt for Kirishima, a flame that had begun to burn long before you and Bakugou had been together.
But it seemed as you healed, and began to move on, finding your own happiness outside of Bakugou and the way he had treated you, Bakugou began to miss you.
Missing the way you’d kiss him, or hug him before bed. Missing the way you left his shirts smelling like you. Or the way you would always write little love notes on his study sheets.
Seeing you spend more time with Kirishima, seeing you so genuinely happy, the kind of happy you seemed to be when you used to be with him, made him mad. It made him miss you.
And sooner or later, his anger bubbled over and he snapped.
“Aye what the fuck?!” Bakugou shouted, watching as you quickly cowered away from Kirishima as Bakugou approached the two of you.
“You got a problem? We can take this outside if we need to.” Kirishima spoke up, quickly earning most of the ears of your peers.
“Yeah why the fuck you up on them like that?” Bakugou stared at you. Your face contorted in anger as you stepped forward.
“I’m sorry?” You laughed, staring at the blonde who was now your ex-boyfriend.
“You better back the fuck up.” Kirishima commented. Kaminari and Sero quickly stood to aid, positioning themselves on either side of you, positive you could handle yourself against Bakugou, but albeit cautious.
“No. Why’re you all up on them, you fucking got a thing for them? Spit it out shitty-hair.”
“No. You don’t get a fucking say in this. You fucking cheater. Ruining something so fucking special. Do you have any fucking idea how badly you hurt them? You didn’t even care to apologize. You fucking asshole. You don’t get to be upset.” Kirishima snapped. A few gasps from students. Bakugou’s face dropped at Kirishima’s words.
“I-I was just bored! All we ever did was just hang out-but I-”
“You what, Katsuki?” You approached him. You stood right in front of him and shook your head.
“I loved you. I really did, I gave my all to you, I sacrificed time and effort to make you happy because I felt like I was nothing compared to you. I have never felt like I was so below someone while being with them until I was with you. Constantly compared to you, it was fucking awful. You’re a cheating piece of shit. And I’m so sorry that you miss me now because I certainly fucking don’t miss you.” You spoke, your chest heaving as you sighed, turning and pulling Kirishima outside, along with a few others who had sided with you.
Bakugou stood silently, feeling the eyes of everyone on him, judging him as he headed up toward his dorm.
“That was awesome!” Kaminari cheered, patting your shoulder.
“I didn’t know I had that in me.” You smiled, hugging Kirishima. Kirishima stood silently beside you.
“Hey, you okay? Forget about him, it’s over, we won, did you see the look on his face?” You nudged his side. Kirishima groaned and pulled you into him, slamming his lips on yours.
Your eyes widened as he kissed you, but you didn’t fight it. You closed your eyes and melted into the kiss, eventually drawing your arms up over his shoulders, deepening the kiss as he leaned into you more.
Kirishima pulled away and quickly glanced to Kaminari and Sero who’s mouths were formed into small ‘o’s quickly looking away as Kirishima chuckled.
“Woah.” You breathed, smiling as you stared at Kirishima.
“Sorry I have been wanting to do that for a long time.” Kirishima apologized, rubbing the back of his neck. You couldn’t help but laugh.
You leaned up and kissed him again, smiling as he kissed back, your lips moving rhythmically against one another.
Shortly after, Kirishima made sure you were ready for a relationship before asking. Recovery from your previous relationship had gone well, and once you were ready, Kirishima didn’t hesitate to ask. He would’ve waited a lifetime for you.
And Kirishima showed you love, real love. He cherished you, brought you up when you were low, and allowed you to shine, just as you did for him. Supporting him through his highs and his lows, helping him when he needed, and loving him for who he was.
You felt whole, truly happy. The kind of happy you hadn’t felt for a while. And you didn’t think about Bakugou once during it. If you interacted, you were curt, and always handled the situations quickly. You didn’t need to focus on him.
And when you beat him during a test, it only proved you had grown stronger.
Bakugou had lost this battle.
And you were winning by a long shot, with a happy, healthy, relationship with someone who loved you, someone who truly loved you.
And that flame inside you, burning for Kirishima, only grew.
God Im Sorry (A tapeworm clef fanfic)
Before we begin. This is all for jokes. I am so sorry for anyone who has to read this. Its also just a draft and will be complete at some point. For now enjoy what little I give you.
You find yourself resting on the couch of your dearly beloveds bed quarters. You scroll through your phone looking fondly at old text messages of when you and your husband to be's first text messages. All the ridiculous nicknames you two exchanged, all the flirting, photos, and various other things you two have sent to each other over the years. You couldn't help but giggle. You find it hard to believe this all started cause you decided to help some weird blonde guy with a ukulele out with his broken leg.
You two have been dating for almost 8 years and two months ago, the man, Dr. Alto Clef. He took you on a date. Just a nice simple stroll around the woods, which ended in a nice picnic by a river. In which you saw the man you have fallen head over heels for, get down on one knee and began plucking at the strings of his ukulele. Singing a sweet melody like a song bird in the spring, before pulling out a wedding ring and asking those simple words of "will you marry me". Your heart flutters with glee as you chuckle. You feel giddy and so over joyed with happiness. Right as your giggle fit calmed down you heard the front door open, and there stood your beloved. With a wide grin on his face as he held some folders in his hands. He had a doctors appointment that day since he had been feeling strange. With his face showing his usual bright beaming smile and his three beautiful eyes showing their usual mischievous gleam, it was clear that he was in more than perfect shape.
"Heya there pumpkin. I'm home. And I've got some great news." He spoke in a raspy slightly southern voice. At first it was grating on ya, but now its like all your favorite songs combine into one incredible tune. "Welcome home sweetheart!" You chirped as you ran up to your beloved teddy bear to give him a quick peck to the lips as you hugged him close, "What's the good news teddy? I can tell from that big dumb grin of yours ya got somethin real good to tell me. What did the doctor say?" You said as you affectionately pinched his cheeks causing him to laugh as he took both your hands to hold. "Well besides me being fit as a bull. Looks like I'm gonna be eating for two from now on."
You blinked and tilted your head in confusion, slowly processing the information as you stepped back a lil. "How? Babe I never top and we always use protection. Who-" "Oh no pumpkin. I ain't pregnant" He interrupted, chuckling as he ruffled your hair. "I got a tape worm. The doc took some sonograms of my stomach to see if there were any issues and yeah, there's a lil fella in there. Look." The blonde handed you the folder, which you opened and began reading through and your face turned pale at the sight of the tape worm in the photo of an ultra sound. You gagged a lil as you shoved the folder back into clefs arm. "Babe that's not okay!!!! That's a parasite!!!! Its gonna just keep reproducing and shit and its gonna fuck up your insides." You said quite loudly, usually you were quiet but this, this was making you quite distressed. Your fiancés face turned from a smile to a disappointed frown "I thought you would've liked clef junior....".
You stood baffled at the situation before you. Your dearly beloved, just, accepting and seeming to be happy about the fact he has a god damn TAPE WORM living inside of him. You've seen some shit in your days working for the foundation. A sheet of music that makes people go bonkers and try to bleed, Kondraki -clefs ex- ridding on god damn 682, and other shit that would boggle anyone's mind. But this. THIS RIGHT HERE. Just.... Leaves you speechless. "Pumpkin?" the third eyed man spoke in a concerned tone, which rarely came from him. "Are you okay?" You held your head in your hands as you sat back down on the plush couch and just took a deep breathe, and just as quickly as you sat down you sprung back up, grabbing your jacket and zipping it up. "Babe.... I just.... I need a moment.... I'll be out for awhile.... This is just, strange even for you and I need a moment to think about this." You sped walk past your -potentially ex- husband to be to the door. You shut the door, seeing Clef's face look uncharacteristically sad at you. It hurt you a little to leave your teddy bear like that, but you still needed time to just, think and process this whole situation.
You leave the housing area for researchers and quickly the site as well. You hail a cab and as soon as you enter the bright yellow vehicle you tell the faceless driver to "Take me to the nearest motel." Which he happily complied especially with the hefty tip you gave him. You just, Needed awhile to think and god knows how long that could be so you may as well rent out a room away from that hell site foundation to have a clear mind. After all who knows what might happen. Fucking Dr. Bright could tell you to give it a chance and raise the worm together with your teddy bear or some shit. You never know with this job and the people you worked with. While in your thoughts you rented out a room, room 105. Great another reminder of your hell job, even though it was just the simple numbers of 0 and 5 you can't help but be reminded of your faceless higher ups and the fact you work for them.
You found your room and quickly made your way inside to flop down on the bed, beforehand making sure to put up the "Do not disturb" sign and locking it. You burried your face into the hard cheap pillows of this motel, missing the one you had back at your place with its soft textures and the scent of your beloved.... Which once again brought you back to the worm. That fucking worm. Why the hell was your husband so keen on keeping it? He's at least some form of scientist he should know that tape worms are a dangerous parasite that affect your health. You stare up at the popcorn ceiling just, trying to wrap your head around WHY. Why would your partner; your future husband; the one who knows everything about you and you know everything about them.... just why are they keeping the tape worm?
You of course knew the stuff your teddy was known for, sleeping with that statue after a date, killing a dangerous reality bending child, father to 166 (who you were honestly happy to take in as your new step daughter). Out of everything. The tape worm makes you break. Makes you rethink your relationship with the man you've been dating for years at this point. All you can do at this moment is sigh, hearing the phone in your coat pocket buzz. You pull it out and set it to "do not disturb" as you set the device aside on a night stand. "Maybe I should sleep it off. Maybe I'll have a clearer mind then...." You say to yourself as you threw your coat off and roll onto your side. Feeling uncomfortable in your current clothes but you didn't pack a bag so, you just ignore the discomfort until eventually.... You drift off to sleep. The shallow hum of power surging through the building and the busy city outside envelop you as you feel unconsciousness take over.
While in your state of unconsciousness you hear a silky smooth, deep yet gentle voice speak to  you. "Y/N... Y/N its time to wake up Y/N". You slowly awoke, opening your groggy eyes, what laid before you, you didn't know. They had a handsome chiseled face, comparable to the statues found in ancient Greece with even a similar tone of white marble. They had thick luxurious hair that went down to their waste, rippling muscles that went down both torso and back.... They were ungodly white though. And didn't have legs. You stared at the bottom half and slowly processed what you were looking at..... A fucking tapeworm man. A fucking humanoid tape worm what the fuck. "Im going back to bed" You said as you laid on your side, and tried to ignore the hallucination.
The tapeworm creature, slid over you just to get to the side you were facing. You shivered feeling it’s disgusting body wiggle about. You close your eyes tightly as you did your best to ignore it. You could feel yourself holding back even more shivers as you felt their cold hands touch your face. “Y/n…. Look at me…. I just want to talk.” “And I just want to be left alone and not think about tapeworm men trying to seduce me while I’m contemplating breaking up my engagement.”
helpppppp i read that scenario of reader sleeping over, and I couldn’t help but imagine that they all share the same room when that is. Also what do you think the twins would do to get readers attention over the other?
Im gonna set this back when you’re in the middle school or something.
You and the twins are already comfortable with laying on each other’s bed whenever you/they visit. Your mother, Amos, even brings snacks to your room for them to eat and she always gets excited whenever they come to your house.
She’s even the one who insisted if you wanna invite them for a sleepover! Your father, Decarabian, always disapproves whenever you ask him if you can sleep at the twin’s house. (Also because uncle Andrius is there and he doesn't want you to get close to him)
Himmel and Venti were having friendly bickering and thinking over what gift they should give to your mother as thanks for welcoming them in. Amos accepts anything! She really appreciates they’ve put an effort to do it but later on, feels guilty and that they didn’t have to do it.
Speaking of gifts, your birthday is almost coming. Himmel and Venti thought at the same time. And while Aunt Amos is here...
You already know that they also have the same idea to ask your mother what you would like to have as a gift but have different methods to approach her.
It was Himmel who first asked aunt Amos about it. Well... not really her but someone else. It was after dinner and he decided to help her out and the maids in cleaning the dishes. He was really nervous and shy to ask her. Is it really alright if he questions aunt Amos what are your favorites? Will she get disappointed that he doesn’t know what your likes and dislikes are for the entire years he grew up with you?
Himmel sighed and continues to wipe the dishes with a dry cloth and puts them inside their respective racks.
“Master Himmel is everything alright?” A maid suddenly asked in concern, surprising him.
“We can handle everything here. If you’re getting tired, we’ve already prepared and tidied the room as what the Young Mistress has ordered.” She continued. The boy blinked before shaking his head and giving a soft smile to her way.
“Oh please don’t worry about me! I’m just thinking about something.” His attention was back on the ceramic plate and he carefully does dry it.
“Is it perhaps the Young Mistress’s birthday is coming soon?”
Himmel almost dropped the plate if it were not for him to quickly regain his balance and tightly hold on to it for dear life. He looked at the maid in utter shock, his face was scribbled with bafflement and embarrassment as he owlishly blinked at her.
Was he really that obvious the maid managed to point out his current problems right on spot? Well, It’s better to talk to her about this right? She knows you more than him after all.
Himmel nodded and set his gaze on the plate, mirroring his appearance.
“What do you think [Name] would like to receive as a gift?” He muttered under his breath as heat began to crawl up to his face up to the tip of his ears.
“Young Mistress’s favorite?” The maid echoed. She then placed her gloved hands to her chin, deep in thought.
“I’m sure she’d love anything as long as it’s from you. It’s the thought that counts, is it not?” She said before turning off the faucet to avoid wasting water.
Himmel was quiet for a minute.
Anything, huh?
Venti would directly ask Aunt Amos what gift you would like when she was preparing night snacks for the three of you. The younger twin snuck out of the room and left you and Himmel alone to play some video games.
As much as he’d hate not being included there and missing out on the fun, the most important matter right now is the gift you’ll get for your day of birth!
“Aunt Amos! Aunt Amos!” Venti cried and slammed the door open to where the kitchen is. The said woman shrieked at the sudden intrusion and looked over her shoulder to see the culprit behind her almost heart attack.
“Venti... goodness you gave me a fright there.” Amos chuckled and continued to prep up an iced tea.
“Aunt Amos, I wanna ask you something!” He said and leaned over the counter to take a peek at what she’s doing.
She stopped whatever she’s doing and wiped her hands with her apron before setting her focus on the short male.
“What is it?”
Venti walked back and cleared his throat behind his fist as if he were going to make a speech.
“A man is sitting in a pub feeling rather poor. He sees the gentleman next to him pull a bag of 100 Mora out of his pocket.
He turns to the rich man and says to him,
'I have an amazing talent; I know almost every song that has ever existed.'
The rich man laughs.
The poor man says, 'I am willing to bet you all the money you have in your wallet that I can sing a genuine song with a lady's name of your choice in it.'
The rich man laughs again and says, 'OK, how about my daughter's name, [Name]?'
The rich man goes home poor. The poor man goes home rich.
What song did he sing?”
Venti ended his riddle with a smile at the woman. Amos seemed to be contemplating his question very well and it’s not often she gets to participate in his brain-teasers. So this is very much a surprise for her.
Well, enough about that, she has to answer this quickly and she doesn’t want to make him wait for her longer. Going back to his riddle, was the rich man supposed to be her husband? Venti did mention your name when the poor man asked the rich man.
A song that has your name...
“Is it Happy Birthday?” She answered.
“Bing bong!” Venti’s fingers were formed to an okay sign and gave her a big grin.
“Knowing the answer is Happy Birthday, I suppose you’re also going to ask me about [Name]’s gift, am I correct?”
Venti let out a hearty laugh and winked at her. “Correct once again, Miss Amos!”
“Sooo...” He held on to the chair’s backrest and gave her the best puppy eyes he could muster to get another answer from her.
“Please please please please tell me what [Name] would like— no, LOVE to get on her birthday!!” He begged and clasped his hands together as if he was praying to a god.
“Now, now, isn’t that cheating? Your brother never asked me about this so isn’t it fair for you if you guess as well?” She remarked as she arranged the brownies on the plates.
“Wait— Himmel didn’t ask you?!”
Oh, how foolish he was to think the older twin actually asked your mother. Was he thinking too much when Himmel helped her out in cleaning the table? Perhaps yes, perhaps not. Or maybe Aunt Amos is hiding something that even she cannot tell the hidden secret to him?
“Well, I suppose I can give you a hint on what it is.” Amos motioned for him to come closer in which Venti quickly obeyed. Venti took note of all the words left from her lips in his head and is beginning to plan out events on the next days before your birthday.
His smile was brighter than the sun in this nightly hour and his eyes sparkled in excitement and joy. Even though her hint lacks information and clues he could deduct, he at least speculated it must be that item!
“Thank you, Miss Amos! That’s already a good hint for me! Now if you excuse me, I suppose we can eat this already...?” He sheepishly asked as he looked on the tray placed with a pile of brownies on a plate, a pitcher of iced tea, and three tall fragile glasses.
“I was about to ask you if you can bring it to the room. Be careful not to trip on your way!” The young male bobbed his head and picked up the tray with his two hands.
“Will do! And thank you for the snacks again!” And then off he goes, his slippers slapping against the tiled floor to make his way back to the shared room.
Amos watched his form disappear before her eyes flicked to the doorframe. A small smile appeared on her lips and crossed her arms over her chest.
“You can come out now, dear.” She said. A good minute of silence was only present in the kitchen before a tall man stepped out of the darkness, sighing heavily as he threw her a look of disappointment.
“Did that little rascal really have to use me in his riddles?” He groaned before taking a look over the leftover pieces of brownies.
“What? It’s kind of amusing and smart to do it. I’ll give him kudos for that.” Amos opened her lips and popped in small bits of the dessert in her mouth to take a taste of it.
“Hmph,” Decarabian huffed as he poured a drink to the glass.
“And let me guess that Himmel also asked you about [Name]’s birthday?” He almost spat out his drink when his wife mentioned the name of your friend. It would be a waste if he did that and he doesn’t like to cause a mess in this area already.
“I told you he’s a good kid. You just have to get rid of that frown of yours and your authoritative aura. Himmel’s always doing his best and now he even had the courage to approach and ask you.”
Decarabian could only stand still and remain silent as he sipped his drink.
ive written a shared room scenario before and this is set on college au. Do take note this has nsfw content in it
