Come on. He's the ultimate unironic wife guy.

You, his wife, are the light of his life. He adores you. He doesn't shut up about you. Your friends and family know this, the Jackals definitely know this, even his fans know this because he can't resist posting about you even when the social media managers get on his case. The moment your name or the words "my wife" pass his lips, anyone within earshot knows that it's all over.

He never misses an opportunity to tell you how much he loves you. You need to know that, in his eyes, every little thing about you is perfect. Not only that, but he's a really touchy guy. He loves holding your hand, putting his arm around you, barraging you with kisses, any form of skin to skin contact with you. You and everyone around you have gotten used to the constant PDA over the years. He's just so pure and sweet about it that no one can even say a thing about it.

One of the things he loves about being a professional athlete is that it gives him the means to spoil you. Designer items, the latest tech, lush vacations, whatever it is that catches your eye, he's already got his credit card out. He's not trying to buy your love, he's showering you in his. No matter how often you insist that all you need to be happy is him, he can't resist a little treat every now and then.

The day you agreed to marry him was one of the best days of his life. Every time he takes notice of the ring on his finger, a little jolt of joy goes through him, even after all this time. The mere fact that he gets to spend the rest of his life loving you is simply unmatched.

IWAIZUMI HAJIME

There's a reason that Iwaizumi Hajime (27) Athletic Trainer is written as a knight in every single medieval AU. He's chivalrous, hard-working, and utterly devoted to his wife. He might be quieter about it, but his love for you is an undercurrent to everything. From the kiss pressed to your forehead when he gets up to start the day to the moment he pulls you against his chest in bed each night, there are a hundred little moments when he shows just how much you mean to him.

Most obvious to everyone around him is the small smile that comes across his face every single time he talks about you. "Oh, my wife picked it out." "Yeah, she did make this." "I'm taking her to dinner tonight, actually."

You will never walk closest to the street on his watch. Forgot your jacket? No you didn't, he tossed it in the back seat. When you're washing dishes after dinner, he's right there with the towel to dry. Craving ice cream at 10 pm? The corner store is only a few minutes walk for him, no it's no trouble, don't be ridiculous. It all just goes to show that he's constantly thinking of you - what you might need, what you might want, what might make you smile. If it's within his power, why wouldn't he do it for you? It's just inconceivable.

You make his life better. All he wants is to do the same for you. He might never say it out loud, but being married to you is the fairy tale life he hadn't dared to hope for. Spending every day by your side is enough to make him the happiest man in the world.

SAKUSA KIYOOMI

His wife is his person. The world is full of irritants, uncomfortable situations, people who rub him the wrong way. You are the one that soothes it all away. His safe space. Coming home to you every day feels like a weight sliding from his shoulders.

He took to the simple day-to-day of married life so well. Dating was never his scene. Truth be told, you've felt married long before he put a ring on your finger. Everyone says the pair of you are the token old married couple. He might scoff, but to him it's the best kind of compliment.

He takes real pride in the home you share together. It's a sacred place that deserves to be kept neat and clean and comfortable. No matter what kind of day he has, he'll always spend at least a little time making sure everything is running smoothly for you, keeping up with the small things that he knows make your life a little easier.

His favorite moments are the quiet ones you share together. When either of you has had a less than perfect day, it's an unspoken rule that you'll be spending the evening together, curled up in your own little world where nothing else matters. Nothing is more comforting to him than the feel of you in his arms, breathing in your familiar scent. Everything else simply melts away.

Marrying you was the easiest decision he's ever made. There was no alternative. In the course of his life, he knows that he's doing something right, because with you by his side, he knows he can face anything else that may come.

the thing about being active about fandom that i think a lot of people either don't realize or even forget is that if you want people to engage with your creative work or your ideas or you characters in a meaningful way you have to engage with theirs.

i sometimes see a lot of complaining that no one engages with art, but i notice that often that person is not making any efforts to read/enjoy/encourage others. there's very little sharing of one another's work. you can't expect to be cared about if you're not also caring. it simply does not work that way.

it's not enough to write that 30k fic and slap it up on ao3/tumblr/wev. you have to read other people's fic. get excited about other people's characters. you have to engage with and talk to fellow fans. sometimes that means their work aligns with your wants and interests. sometimes it does not. sometimes it's stunning quality, sometimes it's not, but the author/artist/poser/theorycrafter is trying and making strides, and that's a great time to be as encouraging and uplifting as possible. give someone's thoughts a "yes, and?" or reblog someone's links to hype them up. leave an encouraging comment even if you didn't love something.

the kind of sharing unique to fandom requires other fans to enjoy what you share, and to do that you have to show the love you want to see. sometimes this means opening your mind and trying to see a vision beyond your own.

to be clear, fandom is not a transaction, nor is anyone entitled to your time or effort. but fandom is a community, and it means treating other fans and fan creatives as valuable members of that community. we are all here because we love the same stuff, even if in different ways. we invest in one another and all benefit when we do.

so consider making one new connection with a fellow fan. water someone's garden and see what blooms.

A/N: HELLO TUMBLR!!

It has been a long time since I posted, but I am finally writing again. Thank you for your patience. And I'll ask for a little more. I'm writing again, but I am taking things slow to avoid overextending myself.

So I figure I'd start with a warm, comforting Crosshair fic. This was what I fixated on to get over my own work stress this week. So I hope you find it helpful, too!

It's been a long day.

No, it's been a long year.

Just a million different moments spread across each day that began to stockpile in the pit of your stomach. Stress building like bile until the thought of another rotation made you nauseous.

"Just quit."

The voice may have been rough, the tone dismissive. But you knew Crosshair only said it out of concern.

You could see it in the way he hovered. Hear it in the gruff clearing of his throat as he refilled your water again and again.

He didn't like problems he couldn't solve. And your toxic job was top of that list.

"You know why I can't, Cross," you sigh as you settle further into the couch. Your apartment was small, but you do what you can to make it cozy. Usually. Lately you've slacked when tidying up. Another worry for the pile.

"Excuses."

He tosses the towel used to dry the dishes from dinner before joining you. Without asking, he pulls you from your nest into his lap as he moves to take your seat.

The moment his arms lock around you, your body melts. Not fully. Not enough to fix anything. But just enough to take the edge of.

Somehow, that is sweeter than anything else you could imagine right now.

"No, it's reality. I pull in a decent paycheck and I'll never be fired. Those are invaluable benefits. Besides, every job has office politics and dumbasses in charge."

He huffs and tucks your head under his chin, curling around you. You're so glad he finally got over himself and let you get close. Crosshair was so touch starved his craving for physical reassurance was higher than yours.

Thank goodness, too. It was selfish, but knowing he needed you even when you felt like such a failure gives you strength.

"You're hurting yourself," he rasps.

"I can take it." Your voice doesn't waiver, but a current of uncertainty shocks you. You can ... but it leaves you so tired. You feel like a shell of yourself most days.

"You're strong. But you don't gotta prove it."

You feel his lips brush against your hair. He liked burying his face into you. It made you smile every time. You return the favor, shifting in his arms to press into his chest.

"Nothing to do about it now. Just ..." You trail off and press a kiss to his collarbone. "Can we just say like this until I feel better?"

He doesn't answer you. Crosshair only reaches over to grab the remote for the holoprojector.

He puts on your latest favorite drama. Something to get swept away watching. Something perfectly distracting to occupy your mind as the soft warmth of Crosshair's body against your own relaxed your muscles.

Eventually, you feel yourself begin to drift off. You resist, unwilling to sacrifice any time with Cross before he has to leave again. But you can't fight the overwhelm of comfort he brings you. And he wouldn't want you to.

You're lucky enough to feel his cool lips press against your forehead before sleep claims you.

No matter what you have to face tomorrow, you know his warmth will be there to welcome you home after.

All for show 2/? - Choi Seung Hyun/T.O.P x reader

Summary: After growing bored at home, you finally decide to sneak off and surprise Seung Hyun for his birthday, only to get a surprise of your own.

Not having any more shows, it was starting to drive you nuts, especially with your manager adding another three months to your break, like you were a child in timeout. You were basically stuck at home, doing over the phone interviews and photoshoots for brand deals. You spent most of time at home, either writing new songs, or finding stupid silly things to send a picture of to Seung Hyun. You both had started a little habit, anytime Seung Hyun saw something beautiful or captivating, he'd send you a picture, and you'd always find the weirdest funniest things to send him pictures of.

You had been trying harder to learn more Korean, thankful for your new friend for always helping you whenever you needed, Seung Hyun was always happy to help you, it charmed and flustered him that you were willing to make that big of an effort just to be able to speak with him more clearly. You were slowly getting better with it, still having hiccups and issues every now and then, but you always ended up getting it in the end. The boys knew, they needed to keep your and Seung Hyun's friendship under wraps, knowing your style of music and dancing wasn't exactly the thing, YG would want to see associating with his boys, not right now at least. You weren't concerned about it though, mainly just focused on Seung Hyun, his friends whenever they'd pop into the room during your calls, and your music, if your manager wouldn't let you perform, you were at least going to make sure your fans were getting new music while they waited.

Seung Hyun on the other hand, was being tossed from tour shows, to interviews, to variety shows, and rehearsals. Despite all of his running around, he'd still always find time to speak with you, you just seemed to make him feel better about his stress. As he plopped onto the recording studio's couch, Seung Hyun tapped your contact, pressing the small 'facetime' button by your name. "Aein! What are you doing!?" He laughed loudly, as soon as the call was answered, Seung Hyun was met with you sitting on top of one of the doors in your house. You were grateful for your overly tall ceiling, allowing you to always sit on the doors or just climb around on the awkward architecture parts of your home. "나는 스파이더맨이야! (I'm spiderman)!" You shouted, proud of yourself for repeating the phrase you had spent the last three hours trying to learn, Seung Hyun couldn't contain his laughter "Aein, Please! You're going to fall!" He pleaded, trying his best to get you to get down, not wanting to see you fall and hurt yourself. "I'm okay! See, like thirty pillows under me!" You giggled, turning your phone to show him the mountain of pillows and blankets sitting on the floor, beneath you. "You're so silly" He chuckled, turning his phone towards Ji-Yong who sat not far away from him "Is that where Americans sit in their free time?" He joked playfully, watching as you stuck your tongue out "For me? Yes" You replied before leaning your chin on the top of the door as you watched Seung Hyun appear back into the camera's frame.

"How's your day been, Aein?" He asked softly, resting an arm underneath his head as he watched you drop your phone down, before climbing down off of the door, ready to show him your latest creation of music. "아주 좋아, 새로운 노래를 만들었어 (Very good, I made a new song)" You smiled softly, making your way into the in-home studio you had built for the exact reason of Christopher being a dick. "Your Korean is getting really good! Are you learning from another person?" He teased, smiling as you blushed hiding your face for a moment "No, I just have a lot of free time, and I enjoy talking with you" You smiled, sitting down in your office chair as you set your phone up on your desk, trying to find the file on your computer. "So, I have a music video idea for it, but I was wondering...if you boys were free, and able to, if you would want to come help shoot for it?" You smiled softly, picking at your night pants nervously, you hadn't asked anything like this before, usually you left it all to Chris, but you really wanted the boys there, specifically Seung Hyun. "I'll talk to YG, see if we can't make it happen" He smiled softly, watching as you jumped up excitedly, squealing and doing a lap around your recording studio as you cheered "They haven't said yes yet!" He laughed, you just sat back down in your chair giggling "Yes but you said you would talk to them!" You smiled, pulling your knees to your chest as you took in every feature of Seung Hyun's before he had to end the call. "당신은 아름답습니다, 나의 뮤즈 (You're beautiful, my muse)" He muttered, smacking Ji-Yong and Dae-Sung's legs as they made playful kissing noises next to him. "No! You can't say that!! I worked for almost two hours to learn how to call you my muse!" You shouted laughing, jumping up into your chair, covering your face, of course he would pull that line before you could. "Aww, I'm your muse?" He smiled, holding a hand over his heart as he watched you "Yes, you are, is that a problem?" You giggled, picking up your phone as you finally found the audio clip from your last recording session "Nope, no problem" Seung Hyun replied smiling, hoping you wouldn't notice the blush on his cheeks "So! This song is..very different, and I want the boys around you to hear too! You guys have listened to my music before, so, I tried making a song that I liked making, not Christopher basically writing it for me, and I haven't had time to edit everything, so the music hasn't been added" You explained nervously, setting your phone down to face the computer screen as you hit play, you paced nervously behind your phone as your voice started to play through the speakers.

Whenever the recording finished, you squealed pausing it as the recording of you playing around in the recording booth started to play "Wait! Wait! That was my song!" Seung Hyun laughed, recognizing his lyrics for one of his singles, you just shushed him loudly, sliding into the floor as you snatched your phone from the desk "No it wasn't, you're hearing things" You protested, giggling as he just gave you a questioning look, you just sighed smiling "it's fun to do that" You admitted shyly, watching as he just chuckled softly, running a hand through his hair. "I like that song, it was pretty" Seung Hyun replied softly, smiling whenever you jumped in your spot slightly in excitement "Really? You really liked it?" You gasped excitedly, moving from the floor over to your desk again, smiling brightly. "I did, you sound beautiful, and the song itself is beautiful" He smiled softly, glancing over as Tae-Yang stepped out of the recording booth, pointing towards Seung Hyun, letting him know he was next to record. "Thank you, It means a lot, especially coming from you" You smiled softly, a bright blush covering your cheeks as he gave you the usual sweet smile, he would anytime you'd say something sweet or endearing to him. "녹음을 해야 해서 곧 집에 돌아가면 전화할게, 알겠지 아름다워? (I have to record, so I'll call you when I get home soon, okay Beautiful?)" Seung Hyun replied sadly, watching as your face fell "Fine, I guess I'll let you off of the phone.." You whispered playfully, giggling loudly whenever Seung Hyun playfully poked his bottom lip out in a pout "I'm sorry, Aein, but I must go, I'll talk to you in a little bit, byee~" He smiled softly, you just smiled sweetly "당신을 사랑해요, 여보, byee~ (I love you, honey)" You replied quickly before ending the call, squealing loudly as you processed what you said. You had both been steady friends for a few months now, talking almost every day, along with falling asleep on the phone together, while you flirted and teased each other, neither of you went as far as saying 'I love you' until now.

Seung Hyun would be taken by surprise by your statement, he felt giddy at your words, smiling brightly as he made his way into the recording booth to do his verses. Taking notice to his friend's smiley, giddy state, Ji-Yong raised his phone, recording a quick video before sending it to you with the caption 'What in the world did you do to our boy?'

You'd giggle loudly whenever you'd watch over the video that Ji-Yong sent you, replying back as you smiled brightly 'I did nothing, other than learn Korean :)' You'd turn to focus on your next plan, a secret plan, that nobody knew, other than your assistant, You were flying to South Korea, planning on surprising Seung Hyun for his birthday next month. Thankfully, Dae-Sung was happy to help you, and happy to keep a secret for you, making your plan go through so much smoother. Whenever the day would come to fly out, you'd keep your head down, not wanting to be spotted by paparazzi, they'd immediately snitch you out to your manager and then your plan would go down in flames.

You had been working so hard as you boarded the private plane, convincing Seung Hyun that you had forgotten his birthday entirely, before going on a 'mental reset retreat' for the day. It broke your heart seeing how disappointed he looked that he wouldn't hear from you anymore until tomorrow, but you knew it'd be worth it whenever you got to see him in person again. As your plane landed, and you made it through security and everything else necessary to enter the country, you were immediately greeted by Dae-Sung and his security. "Y/n!! I've missed you!" He squealed, hugging you tightly as he smiled, grabbing your bags quickly from you as he smiled "Ready to go see Seung Hyun? He's got no clue, he's actually been listening to your music since you got on your flight, I think he's hating the not talking to you" He giggled softly, motioning towards the doors where a car sat outside waiting for you all "나도 너를 그리웠어! 정말 준비됐어, 승현이랑 보내는 시간이 그리웠어. (I missed you too! I'm really ready, I missed spending time with Seung Hyun)" You replied, relaxing a bit now that you were finally on the ground and not thousands of feet in the air. "당신의 한국어가 정말 잘 하시네요, 빨리 배우시는 것 같아요. (Your Korean is really good, I think you're learning it quickly.)" Dae-Sung smiled, holding the door to the car open for you, before climbing in behind you, you sat nervously as the car slowly approached a rather larger home, entering the gate before it came to a complete stop "Holy shit" You whispered, following Dae-Sung as he stepped out of the car "Just stay behind me, He's got a fancy doorbell, so he might check it and see you" He explained smiling, you just nodded excitedly, holding onto his arm as he walked up to the front door, ringing the bell before placing his hand over the camera of the doorbell "Seung Hyunnn!~ It's Dae-Sung!" He called through the door, not wanting to freak his friend out by the lack of view in his camera on the doorbell. As Dae-Sung heard the locks start to undo, he was quick to step back smiling at you "You have to come see us before you leave, have fun! Don't break our Hyung!" Dae-Sung teased before rushing to hide in the car, excitedly watching as Seung Hyun opened the door.

"Aein! What in the world are you doing here!?" Seung Hyun gasped, pulling you into a tight hug, smiling brightly as you hugged back "I wanted to surprise you for your birthday! Did you really think I forgot!?" You giggled, nudging his shoulder slightly as you pulled away softly "Honestly?..A little bit" He smiled, before stepping back opening the door wider to let you in "I would never! You're my best friend, Seung Hyun, of course I'm going to remember your birthday" You smiled, looking around, marveling at how beautiful his home looked in person. "I just- You're here!" He laughed excitedly, hugging you again causing you to giggle loudly "I am! For a whole two weeks!" You smiled, he just hugged you tighter, too excited to do anything else at the moment. You just hugged him back the entire time, feeling your heart swell, not having that many friends or family, you never really had anybody that was ever excited to see you, yes you had fans, but nobody in your personal circle. So Seung Hyun being over the moon excited, made you feel truly loved and wanted, especially whenever Seung Hyun treated you the way he has.

Whenever Seung Hyun finally stopped hugging you, you both sat down on the sofa, smiling as you went through your bag, trying to find the envelope you had managed to keep track of for the last three weeks. You had taken forever with writing it, wanting to make sure you could write it in Korean before you gave it to him. "생일 축하해, 내 사랑 (Happy birthday, my love)" You whispered with a soft smile, Seung Hyun just laughed loudly as you handed him the letter, holding a finger up as he rushed to his bedroom, coming back out with a similar envelope "I swear! We have the same amazing ideas!" You giggled, covering your face as Seung Hyun handed you the letter he had written for you. "Okay, Read them at the same time? Or..?" Seung Hyun smiled softly, you thought for a moment, before moving over to the other side of the living room "Okay, now read it" You giggled opening the folded piece of paper, smiling softly at Seung Hyun's neat but also messy handwriting, it was always cute to you.

Meeting you was something I never thought I would do, and yet, you walked into my life, and have taken over every thought I've had since then. You're so amazingly sweet and caring, you always know just the thing to make everybody laugh. Your personality is the most beautiful thing I've ever had the honor of experiencing; you've lightened up every dark part of my life, and I can't thank you enough. I've never felt like I was meant to be happy, or like I deserved that much time or effort from people, but just in a handful of months, you've learned a whole new language just to have deeper conversations with me, and that means everything to me and more, sweetheart. you spent almost an entire day making sure you could say 'I love you' perfectly in Korean, for me. You're absolutely breathtaking at every moment of everyday, always stunning me and leaving me speechless, anytime I see you. I'm not sure how to thank you for everything, you're my saving grace, you found me in a really dark part in life, where I was debating on giving up music as a whole. I was giving up on trying to show the world who I was really was, until you came around. I've always fought my entire life for people to see me as anything other than a 'sexy body' and I didn't even need to try with you, you saw through everything, and I never had anybody do that. Nobody's taken the time to want to talk with me unless it had something in favor of them..but you always seem so excited and happy to talk with me, and the most we've done was flirt together. Seung Hyun, even if you fight me every time I try to tell you, you are a good, amazing, handsome, work of art of a man. You've been through a lot from the stories you've told me, and the fact you're still just as amazing as you are, makes me so proud to call you my best friend. In just the months I've known you, you've changed my life and mind for the better, you've single-handedly showed me I'm so much more than just a voice and body. I used to hate myself, a lot, everybody around me always putting it in my head that I'm stupid, or useless for anything other than performing, that if I don't dress a certain way, I'll be hated; You've changed that though, you helped me see that I'm capable of so much more than people say, that I can be loved and beautiful just the same in either a performance outfit, or my sweatpants and hoodie. As you both finished reading your letters, your gaze met Seung Hyun's, trying your best not to let the sob slip from your lips as you noticed the tears going down his cheeks. "Aein?.." He whispered, wiping the tears on his face the best he could, as he moved to kneel in front of you. You just let yourself cry, wrapping your arms around him tightly as you leaned down, his arms wrapping around you tightly as he tried his best to not cry again from the sounds of your sobs. "You deserve to be happy, My love" You whimpered, clenching the back of his shirt in your fists tightly, trying to calm your breathing as you spoke again "I-I love you, you're so, so sweet to me" You added on, squeezing him tightly before he pulled away, gently wiping the tears from your face "I love you, Aein, but please don't cry" He whispered softly, cupping your cheek as you sniffled slightly "I-I can't help it, y-your letter was really sweet" You whimpered, leaning into his touch as you managed to stop crying after a moment "Thank you...I wrote it the night you said 당신을 사랑해요, 여보 (I love you, honey)" He whispered, caressing your cheek gently with the pad of his thumb, you just blushed softly, hiding your face in your hands as he stood up, moving to sit next to you. "I'm glad I wasn't the only one then, because I wrote that whenever I was learning how to say it" You admitted giggling sheepishly, resting your head on his shoulder as you interlaced your fingers with his. As he moved his lips against yours, he couldn't help but smile, slowly pulling away to meet your gaze "You're so amazing" You whispered, panting softly as you tried to catch your breath, Seung Hyun chuckling as he pulled you close to him before leaning back, causing you to fall, laying on his chest. You both laid in silence for a bit, just enjoying the feeling of being around each other again, before you giggled softly "Hey, Seung Hyun?.." You giggled out, smiling as he glanced down at you, through the strands of his hair that had fallen in his face "Hmm?" Being a famous singer and song writer wasn't just about fame or money, your love and passion for those inspired you to make music, the type of music that people can relate to, can vibe to and would absolutely love. You find ways to express your emotions in other ways. Making music, your fashion and your art. You really seek for something, anything, yet you still don't know what you really want.

When you were just a little girl, you'd be on and on about beung famous and rich, about how you'll be the star of the show. Now you're here, in your studio, staring at the blank screen of the computer in front of you as your mind won't leave you alone about your longing for that thing even you don't know. Grabbing a pencil and you sit up straight then began to write, making sure to find the right words or not. Trying to express that feeling of emptiness, feeling of being.. not enough. You feel empty, alone and.. sad.

You had many unreleased songs, most of them were songs about your struggles, pain and loneliness. You didn't plan to release them anytime soon.

You sighed and folded the paper and shoved it in the drawer before you left to get ready for your interview for today. You've been going viral again after one of your old songs started to go viral because it was used for an Edit Video of this one Kpop Idol that you were familiar with. After checking it out, you can't help but smile a bit, G-DRAGON, aka Kwon Ji-yong. Oh he was cute alright. And after that, you were listening to POWER by G-DRAGON on repeat while you were getting ready.

As you finished quickly, you made it just in time. It was bigger than you thought. The room was big, furnitures in the center and a coffee table in front, it was pretty simple, just the room size got you wondering why they need such a big ass room. But still, as your name was announced, you walked into view of the camera with your best smile and greeted the host with a polite smile.

“So Ms. Y/n, what are your thoughts about your old song that's been going viral again even though that song was years ago?” You hummed and took a good moment to think about your answer. “I am really happy that people are liking my old songs too, it brings me great gratitude to all my fans. I don't mind if they would like some or all my old songs, all that matters is that they do enjoy listening to the songs.” You replied with a smile as the host nods and nodded in respect.

“Ah what about the famous edit that blew up? Using your song for the Kpop idol G-DRAGON.” You raised an eyebrow and chuckled. “I love it. The edit it amazing, my song definitely fits the Dragon himself. Very cute if you'd ask me. I had to watch it a few more times because my goodness this is the cutest man I've seen in ages.” You said with confidence and your honesty, you really found him cute, especially the edit.

“Ah so then, your thoughts about G-DRAGON and his music?” You had to take a deep breath, oh you were definitely gonna give them your 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 thoughts.

“I think G-Dragon is very cute, i absolutely enjoy his music. It's just amazing! I just learned more stuff about him after i saw that edit of him. And he definitely ate and left no crumbs for not even hesitating to diss someone or something. His music gets me hyped and motivated, and when i see his cute face i just close my eyes and thank god that i find a REAL man out here. And oh the way he raps, god save me, i wanna hear more of his songs old or new, whatever. G-DRAGON, the living legend, ICON!” The host bust out laughing at the way you describe your answer, but he was satisfied with it and so are you.

At the near end of your interview, it was the last question..

“𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗚-𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻?”

You nodded with a snap of your fingers. “Yessir, absolutely. I would LOVE to see this man.” You said as you smiled happily though you'd doubt you'd be able to actually meet THE G-Dragon here, but a small part of you wished you would meet him, because you're already becoming a big fan of him, Hell, you wished you knew him sooner!!

“𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟/𝗻.”

Your eyes widened as you saw the familiar red hair and head scarf of THE living legend himself. He couldn't help but chuckle at your adorable reaction. “OH MY HEAVENS-” You ran up to him, but you didn't hug him. Oh not yet, you simply stood there, just admiring him which made him chuckle and give you his signature sweet smile. “Oh he's even cuter in person, is this heaven?” That only made him laugh softly and gently pat your head. “You are very gorgeous.” He said softly and he opens his arms for you, to which you gladly hugged him.

That interaction between you and Ji-yong left your fans and his fans in absolute shock. The moment was wholesome and very heartwarming. It was a moment you would never forget, especially when you even saved that photo of you two hugging. Ji-yong, too, couldn't help but keep the photo too, even printing it out and have it somewhere in his stuido. And each time he'd look at it, he can't help but smile softly, missing the warmth of your embrace, the angelic sound of your voice, the excitement and happiness he hears in your voice when you saw him.

After some days, you eventually found his Instagram, and liked his recent posts, even his stories too. You just can't help but miss him, you two didn't even have a proper talk in that interview because he showed up at the END of the interview. You find yourself smiling and giggling when you received a notification that Ji-yong liked some of your posts too.

It started off like that, just showing each other your support and love for music, until it turns into texting each other daily, until it turns into having calls here and there. It's been a long time already, nearly two months, you don't even know, you were just feeling so much more better. After one of his tours, you gave him a surprise visit at the dressing room while he was getting his hair styled. And before he went out, he gently placed a kiss on the back of your hand and said..

“𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘪 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘍��𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺, 7𝘱𝘮?”

You couldn't even speak, but you managed to whisper a small “Yes..” and he smiled softly at you, feeling so happy.

You don't even feel that lonely anymore after meeting Ji-yong, that emptiness in you, was slowly going away, replaced with the fast beating of your heart when you were waiting for Ji-yong to pick you up, it took about five minutes or so. He arrived in that shiny car and he rolled down the window, he gave you a little smirk. “What a lovely view.” He said before he got out and led you to the door, opening it for you and even helping you get in carefully.

I've been thinking about how I'd go about byler in S5.

When I got hooked on byler it was the same way I got hooked on every other ship; it's heavily supported by subtext, regardless of if it's confirmed by the text later on or not. Sasunaru, reylo, bkdk... all are ships that have intricate and beautifully woven subtext that made us fans speculate for years. In some cases discourse is still ongoing. That's a hallmark of some great writing as far as I'm concerned (all of these ships crashed and burned in different ways but until they did the writing was truly stellar).

Stranger Things and byler are in the same league. I just believe that this time the outcome will be a lot more satisfying. So how do we get the GA to root for it when it happens? I'm not the Duffers but I know some things I would do to help it along:

Dial up the homophobia. When byler becomes canon there can be absolutely no question; the bad guys of this show are the bigoted close-minded homophobes. It must be explicitly shown how mindlessly cruel this specific type of hate is and that it's incompatible with viewing yourself as a hero or good guy. I'd continue to spin the thread from last season and have the town blame pretty much all that goes wrong in Hawkins on your resident nerds, outcasts and misfits. Mix that with the aids crisis and the Reagan administration and next season is gonna be brutal. But it needs to be to drive home that in Stranger Things, if you're a homophobic bully, you're the monster.

Make the subtext hornier. One of the things I adore about Rian Johnson and Masashi Kishimoto is how they do subtext, particularly sexual subtext. Funnily enough dudebros in both the Star Wars and Naruto fandom, just like a lot of Milevens, didn't pick up on any of it. The Last Jedi is filled with Freudian sexual imagery. From Rey falling onto a hairy seaweed-filled cave hole to Kylo's light sabre design, yoni-shapped doorways and their joint fight towards the end—all sexually loaded and masterfully tongue-in-cheek. Naruto had a much longer run and was consequently more parsed out with it's subtexual imagery. Still it's not hard to find if you know how to look (there are some really excellent accounts on here if you wanna dive into that rabbit hole). Stranger Things has the beautiful benefit of being a horror; a genre that excels at showing our suppressed desires in grotesque and weirdly relatable ways. Phallic monsters, fluids everywhere, exposed scratched up and damaged skin, tending to wounds in intense and intimate ways, grime and dirt, panting, moaning, grunting through pain... It's up to the Duffers how in the face they wanna be about it. But it would be a missed opportunity if they don't crank up this type of imagery at least a little. Also, I want to see Mike suffer. Let him sweat and have a nervous breakdown over allegory.

Show that repression = impotence + harm. Freud, no matter what you think of the guy, is all over horror. This quote from Men, Women and Chainsaws sums it up pretty neatly; "Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways". Well bitches, now is later and it's time for the subconscious to come out of the closet and ruin everyone's day. Will is gonna be stuck in the victim part of the Final Girl trope until he fully embraces his queerness by having his feelings reciprocated by Mike. Mike, on the other hand, will probably actively find himself and the people closest to him in dangerous and harmful situations as a direct consequence of all the shame, fear and desire he's bottled up. Until he too, embraces his queer self by confessing his feelings to Will. Poetic cinema. However the Duffers go about it, the lesson everyone watching S5 needs to leave with is that forced conformity is harmful to you and everyone around you, and that there is no greater horror than the horror we subject ourselves to when we deny and repress the truth of who we are.

Well there you have it, this is what I would do to promote byler, get the GA on board and tie together this wild, wonderful, nerve-wracking ride we've been on for the last ten years. Godspeed to all of you, however it goes.

Kinda agree with both, but more often than not, I see people using wrong characters tags and characterizing a character with the actors' personality not because of lack of writing ability but instead to boost the popularity of their own work or just because they dont really want to learn about the character. Tbh I think creating fanfiction comes from two fronts: loving/hating the original work and having fun. If either are poorly balanced that's okay, but we need to keep some organization around here.

If your character doesn't have the same personality as the original guess what: you can use ooc!nameofthecharacter which is basically a tag fans came up with to alert other fans about their decision to not stick to the original character's personality. Same as the fight between x reader and x oc. If your "reader" has a name different than Y/n guess what! That's an OC! Which there's absolute no problem, people can do whatever they want in fanfic just admit you're doing it. It's simple. Don't use tags that don't belong there, don't use the wrong rating just to get more people to read your fic, bla bla bla. In doubt, ask other writers on Twitter, Tumblr, wherever you want.

Talking about getting people to read your fic: I mean, I've seen authors rewriting their own work with different characters. Not once, not twice but three times and by two different authors. I'm not talking about repeating a trope, I'm talking about authors who wrote a very good story for Fandom A that got them many likes and notes to the point that a year later they decided to use the same prompt, the same character dynamics, the same dialogue, the same personality of the main characters but just changed their names for characters from Fandom B. Basically they copied paste to have something to add to this new fandom instead of creating something for the new fandom. Are they allowed to do that? Of course, they can do whatever they want but is really fucked up.

It seems like fanfiction became this thing you should consume and produce, and if you dont have enough notes on it, you're doing it wrong. I've seen people make trailers and dialogue videos to capture the attention of reader on tiktok and tumblr. The worst thing is that they come up with parts just like marketing teams do. Which means that these parts of the fic most often than not are not even in the text of the fic. The authors come up with phrases and dialogues that wont ever feature in their own work. This is very different from actually working on your fic and being excited about something you wrote and wishing to share with other fans, which is the most sensible way. Because why would you use wrong tags, why would make "promotional work", why would face your fanfiction as if you are an influencer???? Fanfiction is not about this. You shouldn't be writing to become the most famous author of AO3. No one who is the most famous author of the Fandom A or B has ever started writing because of this. Nobody fucking cares, this is not a fucking a business.

So, even if it's not a business and maybe we shouldn't be so rigid about what people want to do with characters and how they want to portray them, maybe we should care at least a little bit. Just enough to avoid letting people transform fanfiction into a business. Just enough to avoid letting people use the platforms as they're not intended. Just enough to keep this thing organized and not a mess just because some people want the attention TikTok environment has convinced them they should have.

I think we have been normalizing too much. It's easy to accept anything when you have a small fandom because we're fearful of not having enough content to consume, but I think the problem is that this problem of characterization is happening too often. Out of all Lilia's x reader fanfics maybe 2 or 3 are in character. And if the authors are doing it because they can't write Lilia than that's okay. But we can still be fucking pissed about it, choose not to read it and try to bring awareness to this problem.

Guys, I love you all to bits–and I'm obsessed with Patti just as the rest of you. But, my brothers in christ, I bEG of you to stop mischaracterizing her roles as patti clones. it's frankly a little insulting to patti's insane acting range! I really don't think Patti and Lilia Calderu, per se, act or talk or think alike at all, for example. And while she does bring a very particular, italian, patti-edge to everyone she plays, she still plays them entirely different to each other. Lilia may have Patti mannerisms, a Patti essence of sorts, but she's very different to our girl. Same applies to Joanne, to Avis Amberg, to Nellie Lovett, to Reno Sweeney, to Joan Ramsey, to Evita Perón, (fucking Evita Perón-) to Kitty Duval, to Libby Thatcher, to Fantine, Norma Desmond, Mama Rose, Helena Rubenstein, Maria Callas?? Joan Clayton, Dr Seward?? 😭🙏 Her acting isn't even the same in two performances of the same character, I think it's a little underwhelming to portray all her characters as entirely Patti just because of her icon status and the fact we all want to sleep with heR-

I have the slight impression that if it weren't in a fic, Charles' little ✨️possessive✨️ and ✨️kind of obsessive✨️ thing wouldn't be very healthy.

That said, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this side of Charles, because for Max this is normal (he's an unreliable narrator), and the only times we can see how possessive he is is when we see someone else's POV, like Daniel.

thank you for picking up what I've been subtly putting down! yeaaaaah they've both got problems, it's just that charles' tend to manifest in attachment issues- attachment to ferrari, attachment to his ghosts, attachment to max. (yes, max is an unreliable narrator. so is charles.)

if either max or charles were more well-adjusted, it wouldn't be a healthy relationship by any means, but they kind of balance each other out from what would be toxic otherwise. max with the unrelenting need to not be left behind- he almost demands that charles stay with him in search history. charles with the possessiveness that max is only his, no one else can have him.

they fit together- charles provides the obsessive dedication that max needs, and max provides almost complete devotion to charles. (you see it a bit in chapter 18 of SH, where max thinks about how he'll be whatever charles needs, without regard for himself.) (you also see it throughout SH- charles is always there. He's either there, or he's flying out, or he's following after max. if you take a step back, you'll realize sometimes charles is on his way before max even needs him- he was going to show up anyways.)

the only time you see a shift in that dynamic is when daniel is involved. this has to do pretty completely with what daniel has done for max, and the way he was there when charles wasn't. charles isn't a fan of anyone else meaning that much to max by any means- but he can see where daniel has helped support and teach max, and he can see that they have a special relationship.

he does have his own fair share of issues with it (walking in on them at the party) but he grapples with those a bit in 1+1+1, where the three of them actually navigate a dynamic together.

I believe the "Appendicishit" quote you're talking about is this one:

"He's starting to think Charles has been loyal even longer."

max has finally realized in that quote that he and charles have been intertwined in their relationship for longer than he initially assumed- max only starts thinking about charles in an admittedly romantic way when he gets his tonsils taken out in "Dad- I mean, GP-", and even then it's begrudging, not something he's willing to admit. (not sober, anyways.)

you'll notice in the charles POV I posted that max kisses charles when they're younger, and that's pretty much the moment charles locks in and decides that yes, it's max, it's always going to be max.

this is obviously a couple years before max figures that out, because max doesn't remember kissing charles, so he's a little bit behind in that sense. charles also struggles while in F1 about not wanting to love max, because bad things happen to people he loves.

max only allows himself to think about charles when he's intoxicated or otherwise under the influence (daniel and carlos have heard a lot about charles).

I may write an outsider POV of someone else where they're a liiiittle bit concerned about just how intertwined max and charles are. debating on who would be best to showcase that at the moment.

umineko fans are the original "if you don't like it you just didn't understand it" people. I genuinely cannot think of anyone more annoying and obnoxious, except SNK fans, except not even them, because in Umineko's case that behavior is enabled by the author himself. It's crazy how a story that spent hundreds of hours discussing the value in several coexisting interpetations will have both characters and fans turning around and tell you that actually you're completely wrong for thinking a certain way

The crazy part is they don't even realise how their smug attitude about being part of R07's very special club of people who "have love" and the superior way they act about holding the true answer are EXACTLY the Erika traits they criticise in readers who don't think like them. "He spells it out but you still cannot see it? Lol" "are there still people who can't accept the literal canon answer? lmfao" "you know you're exactly the goats r07 wrote about right?" (Because r07 is a god who cannot possibly be contradicted, this is supposed to be the worst insult somehow) (these fans cannot seem to decide who the goats are an analogy for, considering they'll scramble to say they only represent the story's witch hunters as a criticism of true crime fans when you call out r07's arrogance, yet they'll smugly tell you you're just a goat when you question the story itself. Thank you, it's nice to know that Ryukishi wrote about me, but that doesn't answer the fucking question, Brian)

It's incredibly ironic. How did a story like Umineko create and encourage so many people to sanctify one "official answer" and taking any other attempt as an insult?? Like is anyone feeling how ryu07 completely fucked up at what he was trying to do?

"So I won't open the catbox and reveal what actually happened on the island." oh, that's cool, I actually really like that! I agree that ultimately the true events of that day are a pretty trivial part of the story, and it's way more interesting not to know - "anyway it's Rudolf and Kyrie and it happened exactly like so and so, and Shkanontrice did this and that".

... Okay, well I really wish that had remained a mystery forever, since the point was that any truth would've been anticlimatic, and the choice to reveal that genuinely kills a lot of what made Umineko's appeal to me, but I guess we can still have fun with EP1-4 and try several alternative theories for the sequence of events- "here's the manga explaining everything in detail and if you didn't get it have you tried maybe having some more love? It would be sooo clear if you had love lmfao. you literally cannot comprehend my work unless you have"

I really wish that guy would stop making assumptions about the inner mind of complete strangers who read his work, but I do enjoy getting to choose an ending! it really fits in with Umineko's theme of choosing the truth for yourself and making your own path that you can be happy with, as long as you keep thinking- "the Magic ending is meant to be the true end btw. if you prefer the other one you pretty much have no heart lol, it's obviously framed like a bad ending and there's only one acceptable choice and one way ange can find happiness"

... man, I'm so bored. Why write a game like that and then make it so that some choices are better than others instead of letting people think for themselves? Why would you force an interpretation on people/Ange when I've been led to believe that the narrative was against that sort of things? You want to highlight the value in your vision of "magic", fine, but why am I the heartless bitch for disliking that perspective and even trying to see things differently?

Why would you write a whole game around the really fun concept of several tales happening at the same time and the existence of endless truths inside the same catbox only to open the catbox and tell me "NO, you need to think a certain way, and if you don't like my answer FUCK YOU"

I understand that maybe he just had a specific answer in mind but I'm sorry the way he write the ending simply does not match the vision he seemed to have in the earlier chapters.

I genuinely respect Umineko as a work, I think it's one of the most ambitious stories I've seen and there is some amazing writing in there, but if Ryukishi wanted to allow for people to keep thinking and discussing what it means, he has failed miserably and I'm not talking about confession of the golden witch, I'm talking about the way he and his minions have shut down any possible discussion under the guise of "you just don't get it" (rephrased to "you don't have love" to make it sound more enlightened) and it's soured my enjoyment of something that should've been an amazing story. What is even left to discuss here when everyone has pretty much already made up their mind?

Voice actors are NOT the same as actors.

It takes a specific kind of skill-set and training to be able to warp and meld the voice. It takes a certain kind of talent and dedication to hone that talent into the ability to meld the voice and invoke emotion with one's voice alone. Actors are used to using their voice secondarily to their body language and their facial expressions. It's all mirrored back on camera. They do have nuance. But it's a different kind of nuance and a different kind of training to produce that nuance.

Voice actors might get their likeness transposed on their character's design, and maybe their mannerisms might seep into the character's animation. But when it's all said and done: their presence is in their voice. They are bringing a character to life, showing that emotion in their voice, trying to keep a specific accent, drawl, pitch, tone in that voice and keep it consistent for their recording sessions.

The voice actor is like a classically trained musician who can play first chair in a competitive, world-renown orchestra. The actor (who fills the voice actor's role) is like a moot who played violin in beginner and intermediate high school orchestra and thinks they can get into Juilliard with that 2-4 years of experience.

This doesn't mean that the HS orchestra moot can't play. They can even be really good at it. Maybe they won competitions and sat first chair. But they are not in the same league as the person who's been training their whole lives and lives and breathes to hone their craft using the instrument and all of the training they've ever acquired to perfect it. They are not meant for the same roles. They are not in the same caliber. You do not hire the HS equivalent when you want to play complex music in a competitive orchestra.

Actors are not the same as voice actors.

And furthermore, actors - especially big name actors - taking the roles of animated characters for big budget films or TV pilots makes no sense anyways when - at least in the case of TV pilots - there's not a point to hiring a big budget actors anyways. That money could be used elsewhere (like paying your animators), and the talent that is brought onto the screen for X character could then be hired on to voice said character no recasting required.

I wouldn't say voice acting as a profession is in danger exactly, but it's certainly being disrespected and overlooked for celebrity clout, and this has ALWAYS been an issue. Shoot, even Robin Williams knew that much - which is why he tried so hard not to be used as a marketing chess piece for Aladdin and got royally pissed off when it happened anyways. People shouldn't go to any movie (but especially not animated films) because "oh famous actor is in it". People should go because it's a good movie and the voice acting is good.

People who honest to god think that voice actors are replaceable because "oh well anyone can voice act" or "I like xyz celebrity so naturally it'll be good" ... Honestly I just wish you'd reassess your priorities because you're missing the point and are part of the problem.

Voice Actors ≠ Actors.

I love singNsong again reminding people in Side Story that Dokja wanted other people to read TWSA (he wrote reviews and comments! It was his first wish), and he only stopped bothering because people harassed him for it. He didn't gate-keep the story. When he's avoiding talking to Sangah about it at the beginning of ORV, it's because he knows what happens when he tells people about the story, not because he's gate-keeping it from her. He notes he's not proud of his hobby (likely because he's been bullied all through his life, including for reading the thing he loves): he finds it embarrassing to talk about, and better respects her studying Spanish in her free time (learning another language is a generally accepted thing in society). He assumes she won't care or will look at him funny (or worse) for when she learns about the novel he's into.

Basically anyone writing "let's gatekeep ORV" posts because of the anime announcement or because they dislike the manhwa or some other weirdness, y'all are the villains in the scenario.

The literal climax of the story is about sharing ORV with as many people as possible. What story were y'all reading?

This is what I was worried about with Minah – that she'd come under suspicion purely because she hasn't come under suspicion before, of no fault of her own. We did see today that she could handle herself under pressure well today, but when everyone's piling onto you, almost everything can be taken as suspicious. A weak argument with panic is a sign you're guilty, a strong argument without panic is a sign you're guilty (because you're clearly good at keeping calm under pressure and are a good liar, and look, you've had a defence all figured out, so you must be guilty!)... I really hope she stays, the show's editing could definitely be making it out to be worse than it actually is (since they know we're invested in her as the only original traitor), but sometimes you're an unfortunate victim of circumstance and there's nothing you can do (think Nicky in S1). PLS DON'T GO MINAH I CAN'T LOSE BOTH MY FAVS TWO EPISODES APART

Sad to see Alexander come under suspicion too, I really like him and it's always nice to see someone with logical reasoning – it was wrong, but his argument about the odds of a recruitment being much higher than the odds of Leanne (or Minah, but everyone knew she was one of three with a shield) getting targeted was completely sound! Much stronger evidence than a diplomat, someone who's been in many actually high-stakes situations because of his job, not appearing panicked after the events of a gameshow...

Really happy to see Linda making some moves, even if she was banished – I didn't hate her and enjoyed the 'how is she still around' memes, but she really grew on me/redeemed herself as a player in my eyes in her final episode, which was great to see! Also the Linda Minah conversation at breakfast... aaa it was so sweet... it's the first time I've seen such open loyalty between Traitors (and yes, Minah did go with the tide and turn on Linda, but she had tried her best to steer suspicion away from her previously)

I am really happy about the Charlotte recruitment! I don't really have an idea on how strong it is strategically (especially considering Charlotte hasn't been focused on very much by the edit in the past few episodes, so we don't know too much about where she'll stand), but I have really enjoyed what I've seen of her, so I'm really excited to see what her and Minah will be like as a Traitors duo (and what she'll be like as a Traitor in the first place).

(As I said in another post) I am feeling slightly better about Ep6 because of this too, since because Minah was committed (at least this ep) to continuing the sisterhood, we probably weren't robbed of a Minah Dan traitor duo because that probably wouldn't have happened anyway

On that topic, rip Dan you would've loved the riddles (aka forms of logic puzzles) in this episode's task

I wouldn't be surprised if Lisa gets murdered tonight, considering she's pretty much confirmed Faithful to everyone there now Linda was revealed to be a Traitor (unless they keep her as a potential recruitment, but I don't think the intention is to do much recruitment – every one risks destabilising your place in the castle)

The dramatic zoom-in to the not-so-significnt secrets on the scrolls on Uncloaked was so funny (also I love the Linda Fozia dynamic so much, Fozia's last words in the Traitors proper were so on point as well)
