The way Minthara talks about Karlach.. I didn't expect it??? She's so fucking.. supportive? And the way she sees other companions and their paths - the way she talks about Shadowheart.. I never thought she's going to be such a character?..

Hypochondria
part 2
Fate decided to play a little game and set up a disastrous dinner. Pulling heatwaves back and forth to prove that the path to hell is paved by good intentions.
warning: non-linear time line
Tumblr media Tumblr media
21:10
"I'm sorry, but do you guys know each other?" she asked, with a tone of annoyance barely hidden behind a fake smile.
Lando froze once again, like he had many times that evening. It was not his fault. His soon-to-not-be girlfriend set this seventh circle of hell up. How was he supposed to respond to that?
Y/N hesitantly responded. "No, of course not. I mean, I've only worked with the team here for few weeks anyway."
Her words got buried in the stare down between Anita and Lando.
"Seems like you do, by the amount of questions you're asking" she said directly at Lando, fully ignoring Y/N at that point.
"If I had known her, I would not have had to ask questions, right?" he responded, failing at letting his sassy side dormant.
"Is that why you never ask me any questions? Because you know me?"
He bit his tongue. Lando was trying to be good.
Anita made her signature "I knew it" smile once again, which finally set Lando off.
"One asks when they want to hear an answer."
20:13
He was not late, right? Only thirteen minutes. It still passed. And judging by the quick glance he gave at the table, Anita brought a friend. She does that often, he had no idea why.
Sometimes he felt like a ghost watching his own life. Just sort of floating around, letting things happen to him. It was easy with his status. Almost like racing was the only time he really cared.
As he walked over to the table, lost in his own head, life gave him a pretty big slap to wake him up. Next to Anita sat the one and only, the one who had haunted his dreams and reality for decades by now. Frozen, as if his blood suddenly decided to start flowing in the opposite direction, he blinked as he watched the two share a laugh while Anita showed something to the girl on her phone. Seamlessly, as if they weren't defying the laws of Lando's universe. It was like that one time when two girls he kissed around the same time found him, having no idea what he had done with the other. Strange panic, excitement laced with guilt. It was that, dialed up to infinity.
A day had barely passed since he first saw the mystery girl in real time. Without giving him any time to absorb that information and decide what to do with it. He was getting angry, everything was going wrong. The painful truth hit him - he would fuck it up anyway. Like he always does. Feeling like a dried piece of fruit, he got back to walking over to the table of doomed dreams.
He had no plan going in. Well, no, he did. But he had about five plans that strongly contradicted each other. But god, destiny did not even give him time to breathe.
12:29
Another car flashed unbelievably fast right next to their station. She watched them with awe and slight terror in her eyes. Funny how the desire for a little thrill in the driver's lives makes them willing to risk it all. She understood this desire, but never shared it. Safe and sound on the ground, that's where she was happy.
Happy was probably overreaching. These past few days were flowing in a blur, somewhat missing her.
It's been only a few weeks since she joined the formula medical team. A strange choice frowned upon by almost anyone in her life. She was just out of school, finished her degree and was set up for a perfect career in some decent hospital. But no, the prospect of waking up everyday at the same place was the definition of horror for her. Her university years felt like torture.
Her free spirit caused few issues in her past relationship. House with a picket fence was not something she considered an option. At least not for another ten years or so.
There she was, sarcastic as ever because how else are you supposed to deal with a chronic pain. Well, pain was an exaggeration. More like muscle fatigue, on occasion sharp pains in random places. Nobody knew why or what caused it. This search for answers was what got her to study medicine at the first place. Still, years after, no answers. So she just lived and hoped not to die randomly one day.
This was the downside, the one she shared with the public. What she did not share, as it seemed not that important, was the irregular waves of pleasure she felt, usually late at night. Self induced orgasms, is what she concluded once she finally experienced one in real life. What was there to complain about? Nice way of spicing up the day without even trying. If it weren't for these, she'd probably be more active in seeking out the real deal. Ever since her break up few months ago, it was a full on dry spell.
She was a little bit lost after school. Formula track was an interesting distraction.
/
Heatwave. It hit hard as the sun blazed into the track, as if the goal was to burn the whole area down. There were many instances of people crashing down and having seek medical attention. A busy day for Y/N. She loved it. Rushing around like a busy bee, helping around and chatting with all those interesting people attending the race. Lots of beautiful people. Some extraordinarily.
In front of Y/N was one of those heavenly looking people. Apparently a girlfriend of one of the drivers. Cheerful looking model, who apologized about seven times for being there. Y/N gave her some magnesium, gave her some advice on how much water she should drink and checked her basic stats.
"You're all good. Make to sure to relax, don't drink any alcohol today and you'll be fine," Y/N ended her examination with a smile.
"You're amazing, thank you! Can I snap a photo of you for my story? I'm happy to tag you," she winked, suddenly looking all better now.
"Thank you...Um, happy to take a photo, but no tags. I have enough stalkers already," she tried to get out of the slightly awkward conversation with a joke that did not land.
"I do too, awful, right?" she replied, in full seriousness. Y/N smiled, hoping a new patient would arrive soon while she let her search for the right light. Few too many snaps and fake smiles later, they both sat in the ambulance nearby the track.
"I think you're free to go. Of course, stay here as long as you feel like you need to," Y/N said to her, while filling a general medical report.
The girl shifted, looking more than fine again. In the corner of the eye, Y/N observed how she kept shifting and looking for her phone.
"Is everything all right?" Y/N asked, unable to stop herself.
"Um, I was sort of hoping my boyfriend would come to pick me up here. It would look really good."
Y/N smiled. "I imagine it would also feel good, right?"
"Yeah," she said, not in a tone that would suggest she felt any butterflies. She looked stiff.
Y/N took a deep breath, not sure why her mouth let those words out. "Whatever happens in the ambulance, stays in the ambulance, you know? Just throwing it out there in case you want to share something..."
A weak smile appeared on her face. A glimpse of realness. After few moments of obviously thinking it through, she allowed herself to speak freely. "Promise you won't tell anything to anyone..."
"I swore an oath one time, I think we can apply that to this situation." The medics were always told to provide excellent service to these people. Sometimes, it involved a little psychology as well.
Anita poured it out like an overflowing mug. "I'd love to be with someone who would drop anything to pick me up when I'm sitting in an ambulance. But, I feel like that's not coming anytime soon. He just...He just does not see me."
It was easy for most people to get raw in the closed safe space of an ambulance. Y/N had already heard many similar stories, despite being on this job for only few weeks.
"Does he make you happy?"
"Um...Not really. The sex is good. And the life that comes with him..." she seemed to loose herself in her thoughts.
"You should trust your gut. It's probably pointing you in the right direction," Y/N replied, trying to not push anything.
"You're probably right. He's the best thing around here, so why complain. Thanks! You're really the best. You sure you don't want to be tagged?" she asked once again.
"Sure, go for it," she said, hoping this would finally get the girl out and gave her the instagram info.
She felt an immense wave of embarrassment as she read the comment about how amazing she was.
//
Lando felt a very familiar stroke of humiliation - well, he did not, but he knew who did anyway. Anxiety was not uncommon.
He was done with practice for the day and was staying behind with the engineers to further analyse. He ignored his phone for a while, only finding out his girlfriend had to go to the medics after she came back to the McLaren garage.
His first thought should have probably not been about a wasted opportunity.
"Hey, sweetheart, how do you feel now?" he said while holding Anita's hand and trying to find traces of her feeling unwell on her face.
She felt a bittersweet punch, obviously him checking up on her while she was gone not passing through his mind.
"Yeah, all good now. We have some good medics over here. I took a photo of them, so hopefully they'll get some boost online."
"Oh, can I have a look?" he said with an obvious interest. She smiled, hoping it was because he cared about her. She gave him her phone and saw him freeze for a moment.
Out of nowhere, he was staring into the eyes he longed to drown in. He never got a look this close at her. Not his girlfriend. The awkward smile he understood as if it was his own. It was like being taken over by a tidal wave. He knew everything about her, except her name. It was all really overwhelming.
20:15
Lando should have connected the dots. Anita was a bubbly friendly person, of course she would invite someone who had helped her, over to dinner, in case he himself does not show up due to some unforeseen circumstances. He sat down, without saying a word. "Oh, you're here, amazing!" Anita greeted him with a light peck on the cheek. Lando almost flinched away, physical contact with her suddenly feeling wrong. He kept his eyes down on the table, all of this being a little too much. "Lando, meet Y/N."
Finally. A name to a face. Strong sense of relief and excitement washed over him. Of course it was that name, it suited her vibe completely. The best name. He finally looked up and locked eyes with her for the first time. She was already looking at him and visibly gulped as finally joined her.
These few seconds before the silence got broken were more like hours. They both studied each other like astronomers who get absorbed by the beauty of a distant comet. One they'd only read about and one that's finally passing the sky in their lifetime.
"And Y/N, this is Lando-"
She knew his face, of course she did. But never paid much attention to it, as he served more like a concept, than an actual person to her. Sitting across from him however brought a sense of understanding. No wonder everyone liked him and many people obsessed over him. He was gorgeous, electric. Y/N was grateful for the table that put a physical barrier between them, as the urge to touch him, to test if he was real, overtaking her brain quickly. Like a siren luring her to jump into endlessly deep waters. She had a hard time believing that she would refuse. Her one and only thought was that a person like that is born once in a century.
Except that's not exactly true. But unbeknownst to her, they were soulmates. She was destined to be eternally delusional about him. He was fated to dance around her until the end of time.
"-my boyfriend."
Anita's words cut through like knife. Both of her dinner partners shifted, as if she had splashed them with cold water, and returned back to reality. A great cloud of guilt sat on the fourth empty chair, which the waiters forgot to take away, invisible to Anita, but smiling evilly at Y/N and Lando. And they hadn't even said a word to each other yet.

Roommate Pt2
"Shit, my fucking head is pounding." I woke up, thankfully in my bed for the first time in a while. Looking to the side of me, I noticed the girl from last night that I couldn't remember almost felt bad. But for the first time, I kinda felt something for her, or maybe I didn't feel anything. My feelings have been a bit out of the order, to be honest. I have a habit of confusing feelings with lust. Now, the issue with kicking out a one-night stand is that I can't distinguish feelings and whatever the fuck I'm feeling. Especially with Bada and Howl, they are like older, annoying siblings who won't get off my case. I mean, I love them but it seems like they are fucking up my vibes. Like last time, they literally hastled me as I was walking out the door. I'm trying to meet the new guy.
This isn't the first time it has happened, but I guess it didn't occur to me that they were on the bitter side about my dates, but I thought that was just Badas' impression of my weirdly interest in stupid fucking people, because I mean the smaller the brain the better the sex. Then Howl came along, and it was fine for a while until he started acting like Bada as well. It was weird. "Why the fuck is Bada's man on my case like my older brother." I get out of bed realizing in the hour long I've taken to figure out my thoughts, the girl had left. "She was cute. I'll give her that. Hey, maybe I do like her." I statt walking towards my bathroom to take a shower. More time to think to myself yay. But maybe I was just overthinking everything, I mean, they must see me as a little sister. Yea, that would make sense, with me being younger than them in a foreign country, might I add.
"Yea, I know they are simply trying to protect me and probably think I should slow down with all the blind dates and stuff, but I'm not a little girl. They need to chill." As I finish washing myself, I step out the shower, wondering what Bada is cooking. I can smell food, just can't tell what it is exactly.
Meanwhile
"We have to tell her tonight, we can set up a dinner at a nice fancy restaurant and talk to her. Like slowly get it out, I mean, it shouldn't be hard, I heard America is pretty cool or just open about that stuff." Badas says as she finished making the American style breakfast that Mika loved. "I mean yea, America is more open about these kinds of situations, but we can't just tell her out like that, Bada." Howl states kind of arguing with Bada to make it be known that there was no going back after this. "Baby, look at me, I know, ok. I know this is a difficult situation but we have to do this together. This is something we have to do together, we have to get our girl baby this is our only chance." Howl smiles at Bada, pulling her close before whispering the words i love you in her eyes. They stand there in silence falling between the two, agreeing on their plan of getting their third piece of their heart.
Hours had passed since that close kept moment between the two. They arrived at the restaurant, and at first, they thought to keep the meeting causal until they realized maybe the beautiful atmosphere of a happy place with amazing food would soften the fact that the two people she has been basically living with were in love with her. "Reservation for Ms. Lee", they stopped checking their appearance for the 17th time of what it feels like tonight. They smile at the waiter while following him towards the table. "See, everything is going just fine. It's gonna be perfect. She will show up soon and we'll finally have our girlfriend. Game time, baby."
After about 10 minutes of sitting there and the waiter constantly coming over, pestering them about having to order something, they start to lose hope. "This was a bad idea," Howl says in despair. Though Bada still has a strong belief that you're going to come, she pulls herself together and tries to get Howl to believe as well. "Baby, I love you, ok. So I say this with all the love I have for you. MAN UP." In that very moment, Bada sees a glimpse of your pink and black hair coming through the door in a rush. Thanking the heavens for giving them another chance.
"I'm so sorry, guys. I got held up with Heaven." Mika states as she drops her coat on the chair and sits down on the opposite side of Bada and Howl. As soon as they both hear the name, leave your beautiful lips, their mouths fill with a hint of distaste. Praying to heaven completely forgetting that happened to be the name of your date or new fling. Bada and Howl had one thing and mind, and that was making sure you forgot that girls name entirely by the end of the night. "I'm here now though, I know it doesn't make up for the fact that I was so late, but I'm really sorry." Bada smiles as Howl seems to be wanting to just get it out already. Seeing this, she grabs his hand firmly, letting him know it will happen. "It's fine. We were just worried, but you're ok. So how about we just order now." You all look at each other, agreeing. Howl helps you with the menu, knowing of course you need no help he just likes to be close to you. Though they both know you'll need help ordering, your social anxiety playing a huge factor in that. Looking at the menu, you finally decided on a simple shrimp pasta. You could never go wrong with a classic. Howl orders a steak with mash and vegetables, and Bada follows along ordering lasagna, one of your favorites just in case.
"So, what did you guys need to talk about so urgently. Hopefully, this isn't about trying to get me to join the academy again. I don't care how much potential you think you see isn't a dancer in me, I promise." Mika says, deciding to start the conversation off with a slight joke to ease the situation. Truth be told, she didn't have the slightest idea why they both wanted to talk with her. No matter how hard she tried to ponder over the thought, it didn't make sense why they were here together. "No, I know you all camera shy and stuff, but you are a good dancer flower." Hearing Bada say that name brought her a sense of comfort, it was a name she had given her when they first met. She claims Mika sparked in the sun like a flower. Smiling at that thought, it does ease the tension, "Good, because all those people in one big room is just like a no for me." Howl sits up making eye contact with bada before deciding they should go to the restroom, getting the message they excuse themselves for a minute. Stepping inside Bada immediately breaks down her strong facade. Howl grabs her in his arms, trying to calm her down. "This is stupid she can never love me. It's so hard, baby. I'm trying to be strong for us, but she doesn't want me, I can tell. I see her with all these tall girls, and I think im like them, so why is it never me." Howl shuts up her crues with a simple kiss, breaking her away from the moment. "Your wrong baby, she will love you just like I love you, ok? You shouldn't be doing this alone. You're right. I need to man up and be their for both of you. Don't ever think for a second you're not enough ok, let's go out there and get our girl."
As they are left in the bathroom taking a moment for themselves, only terrible thoughts are crossing Mika's mind. What had she done that was so difficult to tell. She felt worse for not being able to remember it. She immediately thinks she might have crossed the line. Maybe Bada felt like she was coming onto Howl sneakily. Sure, she thought Howl was hot and mean fuck they both were and would it make her a bad person if she admits she has fantasized about them both a some point. But Bada was her best friend, and she refused to lose a meaningful friendship because she couldn't keep it in her pants. Throughout this meltdown, she is having she doesn't notice Bada and Howl come back from the restroom, nor does she notice she has started crying. Finally catching sight of them, she immediately breaks down. "I'm sorry for whatever I did, I promise I didn't mean to. Bada, you're my best friend, and I tried to hard not to make you feel any way. I even changed habits that I grew up with, like walking around with less clothes and other shit that may piss you off. Howl, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. Please don't kick me out." Hearing this, they both move towards the other side of the table, grabbing her with Howl, setting her on his lap, this of course catches her off guard, but Bada keeps her in place.
"You didn't make anyone uncomfortable flower, I promise. We aren't gonna kick you out, or I'm not." Bada says, rubbing her big cheeks to calm her down while wiping the tears. "We wanted to tell you the truth. We've been in love with you for years now, baby. At first, we thought something was wrong until we both talked it out and realized we both had feelings for you. Then, Bada told me that you had said something about poly relationships at one point, and we realized their was nothing wrong with it." Howl states, turning her around to straddle his lap, rubbing her waist as comfort. "W-wait, what? You love me. The both of you, I thought I was imposing with the constant amount of third wheeling, that's why I've been going on more dates." Mika speaks up confused. How could two of the most beautiful people inside and out love her. "Baby, we love spending time with you. If anything, we were trying to build up the courage to tell you. And now you have us." Bada says, hooking her fingers with yours and Howl. "No more dates, we are all you need." Mika smiles, looking off happy. I Thinking she was getting kicked out or just wrong for liking two people, and it worked out. Bada starts to usher both of her partners out of the restaurant to go home, says they could order in, simple wanting to spend time with each other. They faithfully agree and pile into the car, making their way home.
Stepping out of the car, going into the building, Mika notices that neither one of their new partners can keep their hands to themselves. Though Mika all of a sudden feels shy with all the affection. Howl reaches out for her hand in the elevator and pulls her to him, leaving open-mouthed kisses down her neck. While Bada turns around staring at her with a smile that could only be described as pure lust and desire. "You know, I'm starting to believe that our little flower here, knew we were listening to her fuck other people. Torturing us, weren't you?" She listens to what Bada says completely, forgetting she used to invite people over to her place after her dates. But before she could answer, the elevator stops, opening up indicating they have reached their floor. Bada walks out, going to the front door tapping the code in while Howl grabs Mika, throwing her over his shoulder. Yea, she was truly in for it tonight. Opening the door, they immediately walk into their room, Howl throws her down on the bed. Leaving them both standing in front of her. She had never realized how much taller they were than her. Towering over her, making her feel so small, and yet she doesn't feel afraid if anything, she is excited.
"Bada, right baby. You do like torturing us, don't you? Almost every single night, hearing your sweet, beautiful moans for some random shitty guy and girl you could find. You wanted our attention, didn't you, baby?" Mika nods her head as Howl pushes her down on the bed, working on kissing up her legs, reaching straight for her pussy. Staring at it like it's a prize he had finally won. "Giving this pussy up all the time, that shit ends tonight you her me little girl." It wasn't a question, no it was a demand. That he knew she would follow without a second thought. Peeling her panties down, he catches sight of the little bow on the front, motioning it to Bada how she gets on the bed smiling. "I told you she is our little flower." Bada comes behind your gathering you in her arms as Howl finally takes off your underwear. Pushing your legs up yo have you spread out more for him, with Bada holding you still. You hadn't even realized she had taken off her pants, leaving her just in her Calvin Klein thong and the blouse she chose to wear. You whine at the thought, catching both of their attention. "N-naked, please?" Hearing this, they need no further instructions. With Bada pulling off her shirt and bra, you feel her pulling down your dress, sliding it off, leaving you in nothing. Feeling her bare breasts pressed against your back leaves you moaning. Though Howl takes his time, slowly pulling down his pants and shirt, almost giving a strip tease. "Come on, we can't leave our flower waiting. We had to show her what she was missing." Bada moves her lips down to leaving love bites on you neck while playing with you breast.
Howl forgets about his underwear at the moment, leaving you to gawk at his abs. He watches you stare before diving straight in. Sucking and licking your cunt like it's his last meal. "You taste so good, baby." You push his head further in with your thighs, "f-fuck yes." Bada bites your ear while moaning. You trun your head, realizing she was fingering herself. She looks so fucking hot you can stand it. Howl pushes a finger in why his nose is positioned right on your clit, casuing you to scream out. You start to tap Bada motioning her towards you, "P-please sit on my face," and who is she to deny such a request. Positioning herself to hover over your face, she contemplates if this is the best idea, but she stops thinking when Mika pulls her thighs down, closing them around her head. Sucking on her clit her she moves Badas hips to ride her face, while Howl is jerking himself off still eating Mika out. With Mika's nose mumbling against Bada's clit everytime she moves she is so close to her high. "Fuck... baby I'm gonna cum." Bada yells out loud grabbing the headboard, as Howl feels Mika cuming in his mouth. Bada squirts all over Mika's face never had she felt such a high. Howl and Bada make eye contact, now realizing why all those girls that came into Mika's room screaming.
Howl grabs Bada kissing her while she leans in sucking on his lips, wanting a taste of everything Mika has to offer. Mika dares at them with pure love, wanting more. Bada pushes him down, getting on top of him while pushing him inside. While she is used to the stretch, she knows Mika isn't, and they will have to work her into it. So, Howl starts fingering Mika again, pushing in two fingers at a time overstimulating her. "S-shit....wait." but they pay her pleads no mind, and he grabs her thighs, pushing in another finger moving faster than before. Bada, seeing this, starts moving herself up and down. Dancing we coming into affect when they fuck. All you can hear from the room is skin against skin. "Yes...right there....fuck give it me." Bada says while slamming herself down onto Howl shaft over and over again. She feels the band in her stomach slowly start to snap, knowing she had just come before leaving her sensitivity. Howl notices this and moves his feet to stand on the bed and further slam his hips against her own, causing Bada to clench around him, holding onto his chest. "That's fuck baby. Fuck come all over me." That pushes her over the edge. Leaving her crying and coming on command.
Bada and Howl take a moment to themselves while he is still fingering Mika, even though she had come 2 more times. Howl stops while Bada gets off of him until they hear a phone ring. They ignored it for a moment until it hangs up and rings again. Howl reaches over realizing its Mikas phone, about to put it on, do not disturb. Until he sees the caller ID, "So you haven't cut ties with that heaven girl baby," Mika looks up and him wide-eyed, realizing he told her she would meet up later. Before she can speak, Howl flips her over positioning her on all fours. She feels the heavy weight of his shaft pulsing against her throbbing abused clit. He passes her the phone, and she looks at it. He wouldn't want her to answer it at a time like this, would he? But Bada grabs the phone, answering it while placing it against Mika's ear. She hears Heaven speak up, asking about where she is, wanting to answer quickly so she can end the call until Howl starts to push in. "W-wait...fuck...pleasee. Too..big." Howl stares at her perfectly arched for him. "You can take it, baby. I know you can. Good girls take it nice and well. You're my good girl right". Each word is punctured by an inch until he is fully inside.
"So full." Is all Mika can manage out, causing both Bada and Howl to smile at their precious baby. Heaven after a while goes silent on the phone, yet doesn't hang up. Bada quickly speaks up, while putting pressure on Mika's clit. "Our baby is a bit.. occupied at the moment if you couldn't tell. I would say she could call you back later, but she won't. Don't call this phone again." In the process, Howl starts hammering his hips into Mika's, holding her up feeling on the imprint in her stomach. "Would you look at that baby, I'm all the way up here. Can you feel me in your stomach, can't you? Claimed I wouldn't fit, but look at you. It's like your pussy was made to take me. Made just for us." Howls says while pressing down on your stomach. Bada moves to kiss you sucking on your tongue, leaving you just overwhelmed, never experienced anything like this. Completely cock drunk. "Gonna take good care of you flower, always."

Some thoughts after finishing the double that I need to expel from my consciousness:
1. I haven't enjoyed a show so much in a while. It had all the drama, and it didn't sacrifice it for the romance
2. Princess Wanning! She killed her dad and I think that was queen shit. She should have killed more people, frankly. She deserves to do so much murder
3. Shen Yurong how I hate you. This man is not only a murderer and a coward, he's also incompetent. None of his plans have ever worked. Mans couldn't manage to successfully kill his wife even if every god were on his side. I loved every time Xue Fangfei did psychic damage to him simply by existing
4. Xue Fangfei! Xue Li! Jiang Li! Xiao Limao! A'Li! Many other terms of address I've missed! She truly is that girl. She is gaslight gatekeep girl boss. She's a girl's girl. She stabbed a man in the dick 7 times. She has the man who once called her a pawn wrapped around her pinkie. When her man tells her he has to get into a political marriage for the nation she says do it then, and then he has to admit he was never gonna. She inflicted +9999999999999 damage on those who wronged her and Jiang Li. She can't fight to save her life (as evident) but can and will confuse her opponent into tripping over their own nonexistent shoelaces
5. I loved the progression of the relationship between A'Li and Xiao Heng. They weren't immediately lovers or friends. They fully used each other until they were willing to be used. The chemistry, the flirting, it's too much and too good. Also, Xiao Heng serves. See: the fans, the fucking gold plated murder fan, a walk-in closet full of capes, the most dramatic entrances known to cdramas, and all the audacity
6. BUT what were the last 20 minutes! They don't exist to me! My buddies Wen Ji and Lu Ji are watching their boss embarass himself at Duke Su's mansion and sharing in the hot goss, to me
7. Plus, I've gotta be missing something about the Longwu army. I do not understand them at all. Not a single one of them would survive the Nuremberg precedent. Not only are they not guided by ethics and morals, they're also not guided by loyalty or revenge or anger or hate or any understandable motivation. Instead, they're guided by a rock carving of a fish. wut. They find out the dude holding the fish works for the guy who betrayed and killed their general, their comrades, and even some of their family. And their response is: "How could they?!?!?! But we still have to listen to them because they have the fish!" Truly what. Someone explain this all-powerful rock fish to me
8. I do think that the Jiangs deserved more. And by more I mean worse. I think Xue Li should have told Jiang Yuanbai exactly how Jiang Li lived and died, and that she hated him for his negligence. I think she should have told the grandma too. They had their hand in this and they deserve to feel the full weight of Jiang Li's life and death and hatred
9. Also Jiang Yuanbai being like "It's not that I didn't know what was going on at home it's just that I was so busy working for the nation uwu". Sir, disrespectfully, no. You had not a clue. And if you did, that makes it worse. Like "Oh no! I'm so busy working that I have no choice but to let my wife frame my 8 yr old for her own attempted murder! The murder of the same stepmom that she, until yesterday, adored! Oh well, I gotta go to work so I'll just let that happen and abandon her for 10 years until politics makes it necessary for me to bring her home! And I'll feel really bad about abandoning her now, but I'll also never believe a single word out her mouth!" Actually, I think he should be hunted for sport
10. Anyway, that got off track! But I love this show, and how even the antagonists have arcs and backstories and aren't countering our girl just cuz. I love the fleshed out characters, all the looks it serves, the drama, and the adorable Wen Ji and Lu Ji and Jiang Jingrui

i've always been into romantic-comedies. whether it's books, movies, or shows. they're my favourite. they allow me to get away from reality and slip into my imaginary world. a world so great, filled with love and joy. it's like an over powered hide and seek spot.
but sometimes i get fooled. sometimes the love shown through these films and novels aren't real. love in reality is never how they are in the movies.
boys don't fly across the world to see you. boys don't put on a musical performance as a way to apologize. boys don't join the drama club just because you did.
i just wished he did.
choi beomgyu is his name. he's been my crush since kindergarten. i'm im grade 8 now. soon i'll be graduating into high school. he doesn't know. he's never known. and i don't plan on letting him know. how could i?
he charming, funny, caring, and so much more. the way he rakes his hands through his hair, the way his laugh is contagious to everyone around him, the way he can always lighten up the mood, the way he isn't only socially successful but academically successful, and the way just his presence is comforting.
my feelings for him never leave. even if i try my best to force them out, even if he's dating someone else, even if we go on summer break. they never leave.
it's now friday, 10 days before graduation. i sit myself next to him because my teacher changed the seating arrangement.
"hey y/n!" his cheerful voices rings through my ears.
"morning beomgyu!" i respond.
"did you do the math homework?"
"i did yeah. you?"
"uh nope," he scratches his head.
we often have these small conversations. just short and casual. just a hi and hello. usually it would end here. i guess not this time.
"haha do you need help with it?" i ask.
"actually yeah. i don't really get it," an embarrassed look plays on his face.
"you know, i could help. i don't really mind."
"really? you would do that?"
"of course, i have nothing else to do anyway."
"okay sure! how about after school? i have to carpool with soobin and yunjin though, if that's okay with you?"
soobin, beomgyu, yunjin, and more of my classmates live on the same street. so they often carpool together.
yunjin is one of my best friends. she's one of the only one's that know about my crush. but ut weirds her out because she has like a sibling relationship with beomgyu.
"sure let me just text my parents!"
"great!"
and just like that i have plans. plans with him. i know it's just studying, but it's something? i mean, i can barely look him in the eye, let alone help him with math.
the school day goes by in a blur. i can't get my mind off of what's happening after school.
its 3:15, 15 minutes before school ends. i go to the bathroom to freshen up a little, bringing my emergency bag. in which holds a hair brush, mascara, blush, bronzer, highlighter, and a lip gloss.
i go back into class, as everyone starts packing their backpacks, getting ready to leave. i too get ready to leave.
3:27, 3 minutes until the bell. we're already lined up waiting.
"hey y/n!" soobin call my name. i walk over to them.
"you're coming with us?" soobin asks.
"yeah, is that okay?"
"for sure we have an extra seat anyway."
"okay cool," i smile.
the bell rings and we walk out into the parking lot.
"hey mom! um y/n is riding with us, is that okay?" soobin asks his mother.
"of course! come on in sweetie!"
beomgyu gets in first onto the far left seat.
"sorry y/n, you're in the middle," beomgyu says, as they already have assigned seats.
"thats fine," i climb into the middle and soobin gets in too, closing the door.
the drive is quiet, with only the low radio playing. but uts a short drive.
i've never been this close to beomgyu. it's quite awkward but also comfortable in a way.
the car halts and we climb out of the car, walking over to beomgyu's house.
"i'm home!" he unlocks the door. and his mom hurries to the door.
"hi y/n! come in, come in," his mom smiles.
as we walk in, i notice the lovely furniture and layout of the home.
"you have a very nice home mrs. choi!"
"thank you! but please call me diana."
"okay mom stop mingling, let's go upstairs," beomgyu interrupts. and we make our way up.
i notice all of the family and chcildhood photos on the walls and tables. cute.
"no funny business!"
beomgyu rolls his eyes and shuts his bedroom door.
"okay so where should we start?" i ask.
"well i couldn't really understand question 1?"
"okay we'll start there," we set down our books on the foors and start studying.
a couple hours later, dinner is called. we walk downstairs to a neatly setted table and the smell of delicious food.
i sit next to beomgyu and diana serves the food.
"thank you! this looks delicious."
"of course! cooked a special dinner for a special day!"
"mom!" beomgyu makes a weird look to his mom.
"oops- anyway, y/n what wer eyou guys studying up there?"
"oh beomgyu needed help on some math."
the dinner goes by really well. i feel like diana and i have a connection, as we were talking the whole time.
we go back upstairs to continue our work.
"hey don't you have a bird?" i ask him.
"yeah, his name is toto."
"can i see him?"
"sure but be careful, he isn't good around new people."
we go into the birds room and there's toto in his cage.
beomgyu slowly takes him out.
"here put your finger out, like this," he demonstrates the movement. and i follow. "toto up!"
toto moves onto my hand carefully.
"woah! toto's never good around new people! he must like you! toto kiss," he point to my cheek as toto places his beak on it.
it's a fun moment. laughter and smiles. this is why i like him.
he puts toto back into his cage and we go to his room.
"hey i'm tired of studying can't we stop now?" beomgyu says after a few more minutes of studying.
"yeah sure what do you wanna do?"
"hmm i don't know? we haven't really talked all lot, i wanna get to know you more."
"oh well what do you wanna know?"
"do you have any hobbies?"
"yeah, i love reading and watching movies and shows i guess?"
"oh cool what kind?"
"mainly rom-coms. what are your hobbies?"
"well i play basketball for one. i also really love music and playjng the guitar."
"oh cool i love music too! who's your favourite artist?"
"i love taylor swift and seventeen."
"me too!"
silence falls between us, but it's not awkward. i make eye contact with him – something i never do. the tension between us is strong and the space between us is small. i can slightly feel his breath on my skin. his eyes travel to my lips and back to my eyes, and the same thing goes for mine. his moves in closer, now the space is really small. i can definitely feel his breath on me. he moves in even closer.
"y/n?"
"yeah?"
"i really really like you, for soo long. i like you y/n."
"y/n! y/n! y/n! wake up! you're gonna be late for school!"
i awaken by the sound and nudging of my brother.
"what?"
"you're gonna be late come on!"
of course it was just a dream. it always is. just my stupid imagination and mind. he would never like me. his way out of my league. why would he even like me? there's so many other girls too.
my mind is occupied with these negative thoughts, untily brother yells once again.
i shake my head to brush the thoughts away and quickly get ready for school, walking straight out the door.
the whole walk to school my head is filled with these thoughts and reminders.
love isn't real. it never was. i was just to delusional and blind to know it. true love is just in the movies and books. those scenarios never exist in real life, only in fictional films and novels, of course. no matter how much i imagine and hope and dream, nothing will change. it's just something i ask and beg for.
but is it ever too much to want someone with me, like in the books and movies, like how i picture a true love is?
when will i be able to stop imagining?
why do i still have to keep imagining?
is it too much to ask for something great?

"God, Nancy, I busted my ass in grad school to be this magazines "How to" girl and write articles like, 'How to know what color looks best on you' or 'How to use the best pickup lines.'"
"I want to write about things that actually matter, like politics and the environment, the earth - things I'm interested in, things I want to write."
It's true, you worked hard to get into a magazine like this. More to get a name for yourself, to get more offers and opportunities for your writing career. You wanted to write about stuff that mattered, stuff that you cared about, not about shoes or clothes.
"Keep busting your ass, you'll get there." Nancy replied as she gave you a tight lip smile. "Hey, I've got something to help cheer you up.. you know that guy from sports illustrated that you've been recklessly flirting with on the phone for like whooo, a month now? He made a very special delivery this morning." She said, holding up and waving what seemed to be a piece of paper while smirking at you.
"Oh, ha ha, let me see." You then replied, trying to snatch whatever she was waving in the air.
"Don't- no!" She practically yelled, attempting to hide the piece of paper in her hand.
"Hey!" You eventually got it and looked at your now tickets for a basketball game you always end up watching on tv. "Whoooo! Tomorrow night" This was exciting. Guess your 'reckless flirting' paid off.
"What happens tomorrow night?" Nancy said while smirking even more now.
"Only the most exhilarating and artistic display of athletic competition known to mankind."
"The lce Capades are in town?" She questioned.
"No, the NBA Finals are in town, and l got tickets!" You said loudly for your other coworkers to hear. "Nance, come with me?"
"All right, i'll go. But l am not putting out." She said, eying you up and down.
"Oh, please nance two stale jumbo dogs and a couple of beers, you'll be whistling a different tune." You said seductively while walking to your office right next to hers. Only a couple of little grey walls separating your small workplaces apart.
"You know what l like." she smiled.
"Ohhh mmmmwah" you sent a kiss her way.
"Good morning, ladies. Don't forget, staff meeting in 30 minutes." Your very nosy and slightly annoying coworker, Michelle, says as she walks by. Only a couple offices down and you can still hear her loud gossiping.
You and Nancy exchange a look as she walks away. Yep, Michelle was definitely made for this business.
"Robin, I haven't seen her all morning. Have you?" you asked. Robin, your best friend, going all the way back to college. She was your assigned roommate, who knew all it took was for her to spill soda all over your white rug and start rapidly apologizing to form an unbreakable friendship. Ever since then you'd bonded, especially since you both had a passion for writing and were pursuing a degree in that field. Obviously a magazine wasn't a first choice - hell not even a choice at all but this would open many opportunities for you and Robin and you both just couldn't pass up on it.
"Ten to one she's wallowing."
"l'll get her, you get the coffee and meet me in the corner in 20." You said rushing towards the door.
"Wait, Wait, Wait." Nancy shouted as she reached below her desk and pulled out a black bag and stuffed it with samples scattered all over her space.
"Take some samples." She said as she handed them to you.
"Samples! Great idea." You smiled at her, rushing out of there.
"Oh boy. Drama, drama, drama." Nancy said to herself as she stood up, grabbed her purse and also made her way out of the office area.
You rushed down the stairs, grabbed a shirt off a clothing rack that Robin would definitely like and made your way out towards the apartment you shared with Robin.
─────────────────────────
Arriving at his designated workplace. Of course this wasn't even a choice for him, if you asked the old Eddie where he'd see himself in a couple years he'd most likely reply with "Traveling the world with my band" or "Living out the rockstar dream". He'd never thought he'd be an advertising executive. It was either this in the big city of Indianapolis or a cashier at a local gas station back in Hawkins.
How could he turn down this job though? Steve, his best friend, who also happens to be one of his coworkers, talked to his dad, basically begging to let Eddie have a job given Steve's dad owns the business.
Luckily, although it took a lot of convincing, Steve's dad finally gave in and offered Eddie a job to work alongside Steve.
Eddie's grateful towards Steve for the opportunity, it helped him get enough cash to stop dealing, move out of his uncle's trailer, and move to Indianapolis to his own apartment.
Life was great for Eddie, he has a decent job, great friends, he even traded his rusty old van for a much better motorcycle. Everything was going well but yet he longed for something more.
"Hello Eddie." Chrissy, Eddie's coworker said as she walked past him parking his motorcycle not even sparing him a second glance
"Hey, hey, good morning, Cunningham" Eddie replied, now getting off his motorcycle and walking towards Chrissy. Who's now reading a magazine.
"What are you reading, girl? You catching up on your current events? ''Turn-On Tricks: How to Make Him Hot.'' You know, if you want to try those out sometime, we should get together." he said jokingly.
"Victoria and l have an appointment at Composure, the fastest growing magazine in the country, and seeing as how our clients run a lot of our campaigns in their nationally-syndicated little girlie magazine, it wouldn't hurt you to do a little reading."
As if on cue, "Hey Eddie" Victoria said as she walked out the building towards Chrissy and himself.
"Good morning, Victoria"
"You finally decided to show up today?" She asked.
"Yes I did."
"You ready?" Victoria asked Chrissy.
"Ready. Later Eddie." Chrissy said as both of Eddie's coworkers walked towards a taxi.
"Have a nice day, ladies." He said walking into the building.
─────────────────────────
You knocked on your apartment door, since you knew Robin was home there was no need to search for your key.
"Hi!" Robin said, laughing nervously as she opened the door. You could tell Robin was holding back her tears. You knew her better than yourself and it hurt seeing her like this.
"Oh.." She said as she started sobbing the closer you walked in.
"Good morning, sunshine. Don't cry, go get dressed. Staff meeting, 15 minutes. Let's go" You said as you walked by her to open the living room curtains. As much as you wanted to comfort her you knew she would turn into a sobbing mess if you started asking questions. You only had 15 minutes and getting her ready for her job seemed better than for her to be heartbroken and jobless.
"l'm going back to bed. l have no reason to live." Robin said as she jumped on her bed pulling the covers up.
"Sun's out. Oh..." You said as you walked towards the table and grabbed the little black bag that Nancy handed you.
"Okay, just..." She stopped talking as she harshly blew on her nose with a handkerchief.
"Okay, now..." you said as you sat down on her bed and tossed her the shirt you grabbed on your way home.
"Cashmere?" She asked with a slight smile on her face. You knew she'd like it.
"Put it on. It'll make your eyes look fiercely blue." You smiled at her.
"Oh!" She said as she clutched the shirt tighter to her chest.
"Get up Robin. l'm not going to let you lose your job on top of everything else."
"Oh." she said as if she was on the verge of tears.
"Come here." you extended your arms to pull her in for a hug.
"Oh, Y/N." she got up and pulled you into a tight hug.
"Okay." you said.
"Okay." she replied.
"You only dated the girl for a week."
"It was the best week of my life." She said as she bursted into tears.
"Sweetheart." you squeezed her tighter.
─────────────────────────
"Good morning, Ladies! What's up, Jonathan." Eddie greeted as he walked by his coworkers' offices, making his way towards his own office he shared with Steve.
"What's up, kitty cat?" Eddie said to Steve as he walked into their shared office, towards his side of the room.
"What's up, daddy? Big night?" Steve asked as he removed his headphones.
"Not bad." Eddie said as he placed down his helmet on the side of his desk.
"Orgy?" Steve asked.
"Where were you man?" Eddie snorted.
"Not at an orgy." Steve said as he walked to Eddie's desk.
"Did you hear?" Jonathan asked as he suddenly walked into the room.
"What, that my Knickerbockers are now in the championship series and Jonny 'the bone' here owes me 20 bucks?" Eddie said as he removed his leather jacket.
"Pay him." Steve said to Jonathan.
"Oh, man. Well, you were right. DeLauer Diamonds is looking for a new ad agency. Mr. Harrington wants to move on it aggressively." Jonathan said as he pulled out a 20 and gave it to Eddie.
"Yes! Oh, this is a good day. This is a good day! Guys, did you know that diamonds are about as common as taxis on Fifth avenue?" Eddie said as he pulled off his black Metallica shirt to put on a more work appropriate shirt. He felt eyes on him outside his office, probably his other female coworkers he always catches staring at him. It still surprises him that he somehow turned his title from "Freak" to "Ladies man."
"The value is entirely sentimental, maintained by a supply, demand and advertising." Eddie said as Jonathan showed him two shirts to choose from.
"Stripes." Eddie said, pointing to a striped shirt and catching it as Jonathan threw it at him.
"Now, DeLauer dominates the world diamond market. Meaning if l represent them, l basically represent the entire industry." Eddie said as he flicked a little ad of Mrs. DeLauer.
Steve and Jonathan then gave each other a look and muttered something only for them to hear.
"What?" Eddie asked.
"My dad gave it to the judys." Steve said.
"Chrissy and Victoria, they're already on it." Jonathan added.
"No way!" Eddie said disappointed.
"Yeah, well, you know, Mr. Harrington is kind of partial to hot leggy chicks, for some reason." Jonathan said as he looked towards Eddie who was now looking out the glass window at the three girls who were staring this whole time. They quickly looked away as Eddie gave them a glance.
"Yeah, we're the, you know, the sneakers and beer division. Precious gems aren't exactly our forte." Jonathan added.
Eddie, who was now fully clothed, pointed to the window as he made his way towards the door "Lips and Hips are over at a chick's magazine right now. I gotta get to Mr. Harrington before they sink-"
Jonathan got in the way of the door before Eddie could walk out "You can't. You can't. He's on a plane."
"Easy pal, my dads at a Chicago meeting." Steve said as he patted Eddie's shoulder and slightly pushed him back.
"And it's too late anyway 'cause Mr. Harrington's meeting them for drinks at Mullin's tonight to discuss their idea-"
"This isn't happening. You know why?" Eddie said, interrupting Jonathan.
"This was my tip. It's gonna be my pitch, my account, my campaign. This is my baby." Eddie said with determination.
"That's what I'm talking about." Said Steve.
"They will not ace me outta this." Eddie said as he fist pumped Steve and Jonathan.
"I heard that!" Jonathan added.
"Okay.. Mullins tonight." Eddie confirmed as he walked back towards his desk.
"I heard that!!" Steve mocked Jonathan.
─────────────────────────
You walked out the taxi and walked towards the other side to Robin blowing her nose and Nancy running towards you both with coffees in her hand.
"Hi!" Nancy greeted Robin as she handed her a coffee.
"Hi. I don't really wanna talk about it okay?" Robin replied as she discarded the handkerchief in her purse and closed the taxi door.
"Okay." Nancy replied, handing you your coffee.
"Okay." Robin replied as you three walked towards the entrance of your work before stopping abruptly.
"Why does this always happen to me?" Robin said as she started tearing up again. "Things are going great for like a week and a half, and then all of a sudden it's over and I am mystified. Seriously, I am mystified because it always starts out so well." She rambled as she walked away from you both and towards the entrance.
"Poor baby." Nancy said as you both tried to catch up with Robin.
"Let's just roll with this" You said.
"Vickie and I had such a connection." Robin said as she stopped again in front of the entrance and turned to face you both.
"The first time that we had sex... it was so beautiful, I cried." She smiled and walked away into the building.
"You cried?" Nancy asked as you both tried to catch up with her again.
"Yeah."
"You mean like one glistening year on your cheek, right?" You asked now side by side with your best friend walking towards an elevator.
"No, I was really emotional. I even told her that I loved her." She said.
"After how many days?" You asked.
"Five.. Two. It was how I felt. I just wanted to express myself. You know how my brain and mouth work."
"Okay. Well, what did she say?" You asked.
"Oh, Vickie didn't have to say anything. I know that she felt the same. But then she started getting really busy and I didn't know where she was. I kept calling her, and calling her but she was never home."
"You kept calling her?" You asked looking into her eyes with a "Really robin?" look.
"I didn't leave a message. She didn't know it was me.. my numbers blocked."
The elevator dinged and you all walked toward the opening doors.
"Oh. I'm.. I'm sure she thought it was one of her friends." Nancy said as you all walked into the elevator.
"Anyway I know why she dumped me. I'm too fat."
"You're not fat!"
"You're not fat!" You and Nancy said in sync as the elevator doors closed.
─────────────────────────
Arriving at your floor, the three of you walked into the doors and towards the staff meeting in your bosses office.
"Robin, if the most beautiful woman in the world acted the way you did, any normal partner would still go running in the other direction." You said.
"Oh, no. Nobody would go running from you, Y/N. You could barf all over them and they would say 'Do it again.'" Robin replied.
"That is both incredibly disgusting and categorically untrue. If I did the things you did, I'd get dumped too." You said as you three entered your bosses office and sat in the main area's couch, joining all your other coworkers.
"Okay, family, shoes off..." Your boss Linda entered the room and sat in a chair that faced everybody. Your coworkers, including yourself, proceeded to remove their shoes. "And breathe." She said as everybody inhaled.
"And out." Everybody exhaled.
"Okay Michelle let's start with you." Linda said.
"Well, the "Botox For Beginners" piece is done. Now, it's a little scary, but mostly upbeat. Now I'm on "What your Gyno Won't Tell You," which is also pretty scary but you know, upbeat. I finished my research on "deadly pedicures," about the woman who contracted that fungus from the unsterilized tools. It's a terrible story.. although surprisingly..." Michelle looked towards her boss and noticed her "terrible story" mistake.
"Upbeat." Nancy finished.
"Marvelous. What's next for "How-To with Y/N?" Linda asked. Now all eyes were on you.
"Well, I've been working on something that's kind of different." You said as your boss nodded confused.
"It's.. it's a political piece and it's-"
"No. Y/N. you work at Composure magazine. We are fashion, trends, diets, cosmetic surgeries, salacious gossip, that's Composure." Linda said.
"Okay, but-"
"Look, Y/N, okay. The column is new for you. When you turn it into a must read then you can write about whatever you want. Until then you can write about what I want. Understood?"
"Yeah." You said dissatisfied. You saw this coming. Your boss wouldn't let you write about what you wanted but hearing that once your column gets popular she'd let you write about whatever you wanted certainly catches your attention.
"Robin, what have you got?"
Nancy turned to Robin and gave her an encouraging nod. But there was an awkward silence waiting for Robin to answer.
"Um. I'm sorry, Linda. I wasn't feeling very well" Robin said as she looked at the ground not wanting to see the looks shared amongst others and the disappointed look on Linda's face.
"She got dumped." Nancy quickly added.
"Oh, no, Robin. What a hellish ordeal for you. But I gotta say, you are looking fabulous. Are we loving the way she looks?" Linda said, turning to the others trying to lift up the mood.
"We love the way she looks."
"Oh, you are so right."
"She looks great."
"She looks so great!"
Everyone said as they talked over one another.
"I haven't eaten since the split." Robin said.
"Good for you! Write about it."
You looked at your boss very judgmental. Obviously Robin feels uncomfortable throughout this entire conversation.
"I can't use my personal life for a story." Robin said as she lifted her head and was now looking at Linda.
"I understand completely... who will use Robin's personal life for a story?" Linda ignored Robin's protest and looked at the other workers.
"Oh I will." Michelle said proudly as she raised her hand.
"No, no, no! Linda, with all due respect, Michelle has no business mucking around in my personal life, and I can't... I can't let her. I'm-"
"I'll do it." You suddenly interrupted a rambling, distressed Robin. Of course you wouldn't actually put the heartbreak of your best friend's life in a magazine for the whole world to see but knowing Michelle and Linda, they obviously won't respect Robin's boundaries anytime soon.
Nancy and Robin both turned to you. "What?" Robin blurted out.
"I'll... I will sort of do it. It's- You will be my inspiration." You said looking at Robin.
"For?" Linda asked.
"Look at robin. She's a great girl, right?" You pointed towards Robin looking straight at your boss.
"Yes." Linda replied.
"An amazing woman." You said now looking at Robin. "But.. she has a problem hanging onto relationships and she doesn't really know what she's doing wrong, which is a lot like our readers."
"Uh-huh" Linda nodded for you to proceed.
"So, I was thinking that.. I could start dating a guy, and then drive him away, but only using the classic mistakes most women, like Robin.." You gave her a sincere look and turned back to your boss "make.. all the time. I'll keep a diary of it and.. it will be sort of a dating how-to in reverse." You said looking at Robin and Nancy who were now chuckling.
"What not to do." Your boss says smiling.
"Yeah." You smiled back.
"How to lose a guy in Ten Days." Linda said, looking at the wall, probably envisioning it in her head. "Yes. Go. Alice, what's new in the shoe?"
"Wait, wait, Linda. I'm sorry. Why ten days?" You asked.
"Five days is too short and we go to press at 11. Yes?" Linda turned her attention to Alice.
"Ten." You whispered to yourself. It's a lot longer than what you had hoped for given you only did this to save Robin from humiliation and to stop her from actually hiding under her covers for the rest of her life but then you remembered what Linda had said about you being able to write about whatever you wanted if your column made it big. Could this possibly be a ticket there?
You looked back at Robin and Nancy who nodded in approval and Robin mouthed the words "Thank you". You smiled at them with the big question flying around in your head. You were in for a long ride.
─────────────────────────
"Maybe toss in something spiritual as well." Linda said to Nancy walking towards the lobby with you and Robin right behind them.
"Ah, here's my ten o' clock. Welcome." Linda said as you all followed her as she walked towards a blonde and a brunette who seemed to be waiting for her.
"Hi." The blonde said with a smile.
"Ladies, Chrissy Cunningham and Victoria Green from Warren Advertising. We're going to cook up some fabulous tie-ins for the fall." Linda said, turning to you, Nancy, and Robin.
"Nancy Wheeler, Fashion and Trends. Robin Buckley, Fitness and Health." She said as Robin loudly blew her nose.
"Excuse me. Hi." Robin interrupted.
"And Y/N L/N our resident How-To girl." Linda continued.
"Oh, I've seen your column, Y/N. What are you working on now?" Chrissy said as she pointed at you.
"Oh-" You began but you were quickly interrupted by Linda.
"How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. She's actually going to start dating a guy and then drive him away in a week and a half." Linda said proudly as her, Chrissy, and Victoria started laughing.
"Sounds needlessly vicious." Victoria added.
"It's going to be fabulous. Now all she has to do is run along and find the lucky guy." She said turning to you. "Go, go, go." She pointed towards the exit and turned back to the two girls.
You, Nancy, and Robin both started walking towards the exit.
"Nice to meet you." You said to the two girls.
"Ladies come." Linda said as all three of their footsteps started to reside.
You grabbed Robin's shoulder from behind. "Find the guy. Find the guy." You said distressed.
"Okay." you whispered to yourself.
─────────────────────────
"Oh you are never going to pull this off." Robin said as you, Nancy, and Robin walked across the street towards a bar, arms linked with Robin. Moonlight reflecting on your dresses and Robin’s suit.
You put on a cute grey dress with enough cleavage to be shown but to still keep the guys wondering what you looked like with your top off. Matched with high heels and a cute purse. Normally you wouldn't wear this out especially to a bar but tonight, you were on a man hunt.
"Watch me. Tonight I'll hook a guy. Tomorrow, pull the switch. Before the ten days are up, I'm gonna have this guy running for his life." You replied as all three of you laughed.
"You're not gonna burn his apartment down or bite him or anything, are you?" Nancy asked.
"No. I'm gonna limit myself to doing everything girls do wrong in relationships. Basically, everything we know guys hate. I'll be clingy, needy."
"Be touchy-feely." Nancy added.
"Yeah." You said walking towards the bar's entrance.
"Ooh. Call him in the middle of the night and tell him everything you had to eat that day." Nancy said as you both chuckled.
"What's wrong with that?" Robin asked, looking at you both. You both looked at her with concern.
"I'm.. kidding" She then said.
─────────────────────────
A waitress escorted Chrissy, Victoria, and Mr. Harrington towards a table.
"There we are. He's waiting." The kind waitress pointed at Eddie waiting for them at a table.
"Hello, Eddie. What are you doing here" Mr. Harrington asked.
"Tom, I'm here for the meeting. Ladies." Eddie replied as stood up, shaking Tom's hand and nodded towards the girls.
"But you weren't invited." Victoria said.
"Yeah, but I should have been. I mean, It was my tip that DeLauer was shopping for a new firm." Eddie said as he passed by Chrissy standing in front of Tom.
"Yes, it was, but I have to think in terms of who's best suited within the company." Tom said, looking at both Chrissy and Victoria.
"Yes, sir, and that's me. I wanna handle this pitch." Eddie replied as Chrissy chuckled.
"Eddie, you sell Joe Blow better than anyone else in my shop, including Steve, but these girls sell luxury better than anyone else in the business." Tom said proudly as he gestured towards both the girls.
All four of them sat down as Tom proceeded.
"We have to put our best foot forward on this pitch. DeLauer would be our biggest account."
"Yes, sir, they would. Annual advertising billings of 50 to 60 million dollars. And I am the man that's gonna bring this home for you, Tom." Eddie said as he poured himself a glass of champagne.
────────────────────────
"Why this place?" Robin asked as you three entered the bar.
"Because it's perfect." You said grabbing onto Robin's shoulders and giving her a squeeze and walking further into the bar.
"Mullins is the apres-work watering hole for the upwardly mobile." Nancy added with her smart ass vocabulary.
─────────────────────────
"Now, to date, the diamond industry has always targeted men..." Eddie said as he poured champagne for Chrissy, Victoria, and Tom as he continued. "Sending the message that the woman needs the man to buy her the rock. All right, they say 'A diamond is forever.' We say, 'A diamond is for everyone.'"
"I like that." Tom said grinning towards Eddie.
"Yes." Eddie says confidently.
"Uh. We don't." Chrissy said laughingly. "'A diamond is for everyone?' It sends the message that diamonds are everywhere. Which means that they're not rare, and if they're not rare, they lose their status." Chrissy said while looking directly at Eddie.
Eddie rolled his eyes as Chrissy continued. "Status is the reason to buy them in the first place, which Edward would know if he understood women, which you don't." Chrissy finished as they all laughed at Eddie, including himself. Not because of what she said, but the fact that she's so confident with her words.
"You can't feel bad about that, Eddie. No man does." Tom said grinning.
─────────────────────────
"Here. Here." Robin said as she handed both you and Nancy a Martini.
"Dum, dum, dum, dum." Nancy mimicked a clock ticking while looking around the bar. You honestly forgot the real reason you were here for a second.
"Don't pressure her. She's perusing." Robin said, looking directly at Nancy.
"Yes, exactly." You said as all three of you scanned the room.
─────────────────────────
"Selling a diamond to a woman is like making her fall in love." Victoria said to Tom while dragging her fingers along her long diamond necklace starting from her neck to her cleavage.
Eddie scoffed but smiled at this knowing exactly what game Victoria was trying to play at.
"She has to feel giddy, desirous, adventurous and desperate." Victoria continued.
"Take a look around this room Tom. Most women in this bar are looking for just that." Chrissy added.
"Exactly. The skills required to market diamonds are the same as those needed to make a woman fall in love, yes." Eddie said, interrupting Chrissy.
"I'm not talking about lust Eddie. A woman in lust just wants chocolate. A woman in love wants diamonds."
"Yeah, I'm not talking about lust either, ladies. I'm talking about deep.. meaningful, head-over-heels, his-and-her towels, let's grow old together L-O-V-E. Look, I love women. I do. Whether they're four or 40."
Chrissy sighed at his little speech. Looking around the room she spots you.
"I respect women. All right. And I also listen to women." Eddie continued.
Chrissy's still staring at you. You're laughing at something your short hair friend said and she slowly gets an idea.
"And that's why I can sell myself to any woman.. anywhere, anytime." Eddie finished.
"Make a woman fall in love with diamonds, Edward.. or with you?" Chrissy asked, moving her attention from you to Eddie.
"Uh. Either one." Eddie replied slightly hesitating looking at Tom.
"That's cocky, Eddie." Tom said while drinking his champagne.
"No, not cocky. Confident."
Chrissy laughs at this. "I'd like to see you prove that." Chrissy said, raising her eyebrows at him.
"You would?" Eddie questioned looking at Chrissy then at Tom.
"The agency's co hosting a party for the DeLauers at the Astro museum. The party's a week from Sunday. Do you think you can make a woman fall in love with you by then?" Chrissy challenged Eddie.
"Ten days?" Eddie asked.
"Any woman, anywhere, anytime?" Victoria added mocking him from before.
"Any single, available, straight woman, yes." Eddie said.
"Yes. I'm not trying to trick you, Eddie. In fact, we'll choose a woman right here, right now in this bar. And then you'll decide." Chrissy said as Her, Victoria, and Tom laughed.
"So who's the lucky girl?" Eddie said as he adjusted himself in his seat to face the rest of the bar.
"Okay. Let's see here." Victoria began. "Ooh there's that blonde babe in the leopard print." Victoria said as she laughed and pointed to a woman with a messy pointy tail in a leopard dress that was worn out and way too tight on her.
Tom and Chrissy joined in on her laughter. "She looks like fun." Victoria added.
"Be nice, ladies." Eddie said as a little chuckle escaped his lips.
"Or, well, Miss Babylon 5. Now she's on the prowl." Victoria said talking about a curl headed curl with colored hair and mean stare.
"No. Her." Chrissy said.
"Her who?" Eddie asked as he turned to look at Chrissy.
"Her in the grey dress, cute hair, pretty smile." Chrissy added.
Eddie turned away from her looking around the bar for Chrissy's description, then he saw you. Laughing at something a curly headed girl next to you said. Eddie smiled as he saw you laughing.
"Her?" Victoria asked as she removed her gaze from you to Chrissy. Chrissy only held a finger to her mouth not sparing her a word.
Eddie was still staring at you, you're now laughing at something else another short haired girl says.
"Done." Eddie says not removing his gaze from you.
"What?" Chrissy asked.
"Done." He confirmed again, finally looking away from you and now looking at Tom.
"Done." Tom said as he nodded.
─────────────────────────
"See the guy next to the horrible guy in the green shirt that I would never even consider?" You said pointing at a guy with short curly hair, wearing a blue button up shirt with a black blazer over it.
"Very cute." Nancy said.
"Right? Good." You chuckled and squealed, making you way over to the cute stranger leaving Robin and Nancy together.
"Oh." Robin said as her and Nancy chuckled at your cute excitement.
─────────────────────────
"Okay, you're on. But here are the stakes. After I win this bet, this pitch is mine." Eddie said, looking at all three of them.
"Agreed." Chrissy added.
"Tom?" Questioned Eddie.
"Agreed." Tom said as he nodded. "You come to that party with a girl that's really in love with you, Eddie, you can make the pitch to the DeLauers."
"But, Tom, you can't-" Victoria was cut off by Tom.
"Nope. I've made up my mind." Tom said, raising his glass. "To the DeLauers."
"To the DeLauers." Eddie said, clinking his beer bottle to Tom's glass.
"Cheers" Chrissy and Victoria said, raising their own glasses towards Eddie's bottle and Tom's glass.
─────────────────────────
Nancy and Robin are laughing at how adorable you look laughing at whatever bad joke the guy next to you said.
"I was just wondering if you found..." You said talking to the cute stranger next to you making eye contact with your friends.
"She doesn't seem that interested." Robin said to Nancy who only hummed in reply.
"Exciting." You said looking at the guy in front of you.
"Yes. My wife and I love Indianapolis, especially this time of year." Oh shit, he has a wife. How did you not notice the ring on his finger? What do you do? What do you do?
"She'd been here before and I-" He'd been cut-off by a brunette wearing a pink and white dress grabbing onto his shoulder giving you the smile.
"Hi. Hi." She said, now showing her pearly whites.
You felt so awkward and wanted to leave.
"This is Y/N" The guy introduced you to his wife.
"Hi. Um." You said standing up while grabbing your martini. While his wife took the spot you were just leaning on. "You guys enjoy Indianapolis." You said slowly backing away.
"Okay." The guy said chuckling
"Thanks" The wife said straightforwardly.
"Nice meeting you." The guy said as you walked away, not even passing them a second glance.
Walking away, you glanced at your friends who were already staring at you, presumably the entire time, you mouthed "he's married" holding up your hand.
─────────────────────────
"Good luck." Tom said, patting Eddie's shoulder as he walked by him.
"Thank you, Tom." Eddie said as he left, leaving him with Chrissy and Victoria. Eddie took out a 50 and put it on the table paying for their drinks. "Now if you'll excuse me, ladies.. I have a bet to win." Eddie said, turning around and immediately looking for you.
"Ta-ta" Chrissy said as Eddie walked away.
"Now do you wanna tell me what's going on?" Victoria asked Chrissy.
"You don't recognize her?" Chrissy asked as they both stared at you.
─────────────────────────
Eddie pushed himself through the sea filled with people and began walking towards you. He smiled when he could finally reach you.
─────────────────────────
"Hi!" A man with long black curly hair walked up to you, stopping you in your tracks. He had bangs that framed his face perfectly and was wearing black jeans with a black blazer to pair it.
"Hi." You replied back with a slight smile.
"Hi." He said looking at the top of your head to your eyes. He had the biggest pair of brown eyes you'd ever seen.
You chuckled and waited for him to say something but he only chuckled back. He was obviously nervous so you tried to make it less awkward. You extended your hand with the little space that was between you both.
"Y/N L/N"
"Eddie Munson" He said as he gently took his hand in yours and shook it.
"Cute."
"Thank you." Eddie replied.
"Mm I meant your name." You said, offering him a closed smile. He looked away and smiled when he looked at you again.
"Thank you two times."
"Unattached?" You asked.
"Currently." He answered.
"Likewise."
"Surprising."
"Psycho?" You questioned.
"Rarely."
"Hmm."
"Interested?" Eddie asked.
"Perhaps." You looked away but then looked back at him.
"Hungry?"
"Starving." You said looking deep in his chocolate eyes.
"Leaving?"
"Now?" You asked.
"Mm-hmm."
"Okay."
"Okay." He replied.
"One second." You said pointing a finger and walked past him.
"I'll meet you at the door." He said loudly.
─────────────────────────
"Hey, guys." You said now standing in front of Nancy and Robin
"I think I got one."
"He was married!" Robin said.
"No, not him. It's the guy by the door. But don't look!" It was already too late, their eyes were scanning the door. "No, guys!"
Eddie smiled at your friends who were both staring right at him.
"He is really cute." Nancy said as they both looked at you again.
"I'm gonna check this one out and see if he's the keeper." You said as you handed Nancy your martini.
"Okay." Nancy replied.
"And if he is?" Robin questioned.
"Tomorrow night I'll.."
"Flip the switch" Nancy finished your sentence as she took a sip of your martini.
"I'm doing this for you." You said directly to Robin handing her your apartment keys
"Well, good luck. Be safe. Call me!" Robin said as you walked towards Eddie.
"Mm. Drama, drama, drama." Nancy said as her and Robin watched Eddie gently hold you by the waist and open the door for you.
Chrissy and Victoria, on the other side of the bar, were also watching the entire interaction and smirking at one another, clinking their glasses together knowing that you and Eddie were both secretly playing each other and how badly this was bound to end.

Tumblr media
"No no no! Only 10 minutes and my crush will be here! I don't even have my makeup on!" You panic as you rush getting ready, perfecting your house for the prettiest girl you've ever laid eyes on to come over.
You fell for the girl about 5 months ago. It all started with a math class. You were new to the area and you just joined a new college, she happened to be in your math class and you fell in love. Her red hair, cute face, the way she dresses, her voice, she also happened to be very sweet with everyone. One day you tripped in the hall, dropping all your books and you hear a soft voice saying, "Oh my god I'm so sorry! Let me get that for you." She bent down and grabbed the books and when you made eye contact its like the whole world stopped. You quickly thanked her and blushed all the way to your next class. Next thing you know a few months later you're besties and she's on her way to your house. Today wasn't just any hangout day though. You planned on confessing to her. You were nervous as you planned it all out. You were gonna bake cookies and before she leaves you planned to take out the chocolate covered strawberries you made with frosting on top spelling out "will u be my gf?" All you hoped for was that she would say yes. You've gotten close to her and you both have so much in common.
You got lost in your thoughts when you heard a knock on the door, and you almost ran to go get it. "Chaer!" You exclaimed as you ran to hug her. "You ready to bake cookies?" You smiled and led her to the kitchen where you laid out all the ingredients. You two talked for a while as you rolled out the dough and even had a little play fight with the flour. Her smile as she tasted the jelly. It was all so perfect. All you could hope for is that she felt the same way.
After you put the cookies in the oven you both decided to watch a movie while you wait. You put on her favorite movie and shared a blanket on the couch. You decided to make a move so you reached for her hand. Holding it in yours you sighed in relief that she happily took it. After a while you two ate the cookies and as she was about to say goodbye you almost yelled "wait!" You pulled out the strawberries and said "one more thing" you nervously opened the box to reveal them and she read them gasping in shock. She took a minute to think and process what just happened but ended up saying "yes y/n!! Of course I'll be your girlfriend I've been waiting for this since day one!" She ran to hug you and kiss your cheek. Now you could relax knowing she said yes and you finally have the girl of your dreams. She decided to stay and you two had a sleepover for the night. From this day forward you'd be known as Lee Chaeryeong's girlfriend.

Twice’s 10th member passes out/faints
The moment she left the stage, after thousands of photos each with a different pose for her lovely fans, she started to feel the effects of the poor night of sleep she had the night before. Sleeping for only 2 hours because of her excitement to go to this concert and talk to ONCE after so long turned out to be a bad -terrible- idea. Well, when she said this would be a problem for the future Y/N it wasn't meant to be this soon. A tingly feeling made itself known but she couldn't identify what were the consequences of it. Not wanting to be alone in case something happened the maknae went to the changing room where 3mix and the J-line were (the SMC ran to get something to eat together as soon as the manager said the ok to leave the place and head to the dorm).
Y/N - Unnies, I don't feel good...
As expected, the unnies started freaking out the moment these words left their baby's mouth. (mama bears mode on)
3mix - What are you feeling? What happened? When have you started to feel this way?
Thankfully J-line noticed that Y/N wasn't that aware of what was going on so they quickly helped her sit on the couch at the corner of the room. It was mostly Momo carrying her but this isn't the point, they just wanted to have her resting somewhere so she doesn't pass out.
Y/N - Thank you unnies, I was having a kind of weak feeling, idk what happened, answering one of your infinite questions lol
Jihyo - Don't joke around Y/N L/N, this is serious!
Y/N - Ok, ok, I'm sorry.
Jeongyeon - Fine, we're forgiving you just this time and only because you're not feeling well.
Y/N - Amen
Nayeon - That's right little miss. Anyway, what are you feeling babe?
Y/N - So, you know when you get when you're trying to stay awake but are too tired or that feeling you get right before you fall asleep when you're super drunk? Not that I've ever drunk but anyway- that's what I was feeling
Mina - We should put her legs up so we get the blood back to her brain.
Sana - Let me get some cushions, lay down lovebug.
Y/N - It's not necessary unnie, I'm feeling a lot better-
Getting up from the sofa was another stupid decision Y/N took that day, she felt her vision get blurry and the ground seemed to not exist. After that came the dizziness that made her stand still and voices full of worry from her sisters came from all around the room. However, her hearing and sight just shut off and the only thing she could see was the black dots that appear when you close your eyes very hard and everything turned into a mess of unclear sounds, almost as if she was submerged underwater.
Meanwhile, her sisters tried to talk to her and get her to lie down but she was already gone. When she fell while passing out, Sana being the closest to her, got her and helped her to the sofa with Jihyo who was holding Y/N's cheek taping it to see if she answered.
Jihyo - Y/N, Y/N, Y/N...
Sana - Come on darling, this isn't funny.
Nayeon - Wake up baby.
After 10 agonizing minutes, Y/N started moving and the unnies all sighed in relief.
Y/N - Jihyo unnie...? What happened?
Pulling her child near her chest she whispered a small thank god and replied.
Jihyo - You fainted sweetie... Don't you remember?
Y/N - Not really *rubs eyes*
Mina - That's fine honey, do you think you can get up? Actually, never mind. Can someone take her to the couch?
Momo - Fine for me, let's go babe *groan*
Momo gives their maknae a kiss on the forehead and puts her down on the couch. Sana gets the cushions and settles them below their baby's feet, giving her a huge hug afterwards.
Sana - You scared us sugar, what made you faint?
Y/N - I didn't sleep that well last night... Too excited to do so...
Nayeon - And you didn't go to one of our rooms because?
Y/N - I don't know... There was a lot on my mind and you're all sleeping.
Jihyo - Wake us up, I don't care boo. If we weren't here you'd fall headfirst on the floor and hurt yourself more.
Y/N - You're right captain *salute* lol
Nayeon - Pfffffffff- HAHAHAHAHHAHA sorry, Jihyo. That was funny.
Jihyo - I'll let it go, I'm happy to see you feeling better, doing idiotic jokes again.
Jeongyeon - Don't do that to one of my No Jam bros. Slay kiddo!
Y/N - Thanks unnie 😎
Mina - Drink this water hon, I don't wanna see a single drop in this glass.
Y/N - Okay boss :P
Mina - Less talking, more drinking Y/N L/N.
Putting her hands up surrendering Y/N drank the whole cup and started sitting up since all the tingly vibe she was feeling went away with the care of her unnies.
Momo - Do you feel better?
Y/N - Yeah! Much better, maybe I just needed some sleep and my body did without my consent lmao
Sana - Don't joke about that! The first thing you'll do when we get to the dorm is lie down and sleep. Cuddling with me of course!
Jihyo - No way! It's my kid you're talking about.
Nayeon - What? She's gonna wanna cuddle with me!
Momo - Don't be silly grandma, she loves me more remember?
Nayeon - That's definitely not true, she said it to you first, that's it.
Momo - Screams volumes for me.
Nayeon - Shut up, pabo.
Momo - YOU'RE THE PABO-
Jihyo - SHHHHHHHHHH, she ended up falling asleep. Let's allow her to get some rest.
Jeongyeon carried her to the car and when they got to the dorm took her to the SMC room where everyone was sleeping in a puppy pile. It was adorable and she didn't wanna miss the chance to get there with Y/N after she took a photo and send it to the group chat which made everyone flood it with messages but their thought was the same.
We love our dear maknaes.
A/N: I'm sorry for any errors, English is not my first language. Pls, let me know if there's something wrong, ty for reading <3

Rating Every Danganronpa Trial (That I've Played.)
Please keep in mind I've only played THH and SDR2 and I am kind of biased lol. Also, this is a long rant so buckle your seatbelts... or something.
Last Place:
"CELESTIA LUDENBURG GODDAMIT!"
THH Trial 3: I hated this chapter. The search was too long, Robo-Justice plot was annoying af, I hate that Hifumi believed Celeste about Ishimaru, Kiyondo was a useless plotline (I still love his character tho) and Kiyotaka could've had kick-ass character development like Fuyuhiko got in SDR2. Instead he just... died. I hated that Celeste lost her cool, the trial was annoying, and I hated it. 1/10.
"Kyoko's a ghost!!!"
THH Trial 5: I hated this dumb plot. Shortest trial in all of Danganronpa, and yet it felt like it went the longest. Don't care about the victim, debated whether Kyoko was a ghost for... a good 15 minutes? People are dumb, the investigation kind of annoys me. The only good thing was Owada's "Crazy Diamond" pick-axe in the shed. I wouldn't re-play it at all. Boring. 2/10.
"None of us know what happened to the world, but maybe she knows..."
SDR2 Trial 6: This trial was decent, but probably not as re-playable as it could be. I liked Hajime in this trial, but I feel like we needed a bit more to go off of, playing it I didn't understand that everybody was alive. Junko fanservice was bad. Felt really dragged on, but important points were not included enough (E.G: Kamakura) I don't get Junkos' motive this time but the remnant thing was pretty cool. I would replay it, definitely not my favourite. 5/10.
"We're all remnants..."
THH Trial 6: This was also an alright trial. A bit too much Junko fanservice but I liked Genocider Syo in this trial, she was funny. I liked Junko's plan but she was quite a bland mastermind. I would've rathered Togami or Kyoko but that wouldn't make sense for the plot. Hiro did nothing in the trial again... I kind of enjoyed this one, but last trials are known to be bad so this could've been a bit higher if Enoshima could've had a better motive than "Despair, despair, I'm bored, kill my sister." Re-playable by a slim amount. 5.3/10
"I did it all... for my beloved!"
SDR2 Trial 3: Chapter three trials are known to be worse than Chp.6 because the culprit doesn't need to kill two people, but they do, they get caught, and they spam F in the chat and scream about "stupid, not fair, because, apologise" etc. I find this trial isn't as bad as everybody says, the search was confusing, Hiyoko dying was funny, and I laughed. Mikan couldn't possibly set up her locked-room murder in time and then meet Hajime in the Music Venue car park. This chapter had so many loopholes (E.G: How did Hiyoko even die?) but I liked it more than the other ones. Weak execution, but great Despair Disease motive. Might reluctantly re-play for nostalgia. 5.5/10.
"You.... all killed her! You pushed Sakura into a corner! She died because of you!"
THH Trial 4: I'm going to get hate for this one... but... I'm not a big fan of this trial. I am biased, yes, but everybody is, and this is my respectable opinion. The investigation was decent, and so was the discovery. I find that Aoi trying to kill everybody was smart but dumb at the same time, if that makes sense. I kind of got bored after THH after a certain trial (no spoilers for the rest of this list) I loved the Alter-Ego twist, and Sakura's note was great. Junko messing with the suicide note was not cool though. I would replay it but it still isn't my favourite. 6.3/10
"Hey! You can't say that without any evidence! This is bullshit! You're stupid! Stupid, stupid, stupid!"
"Heh, I guess I just have pretty good intuition!"
THH Trial 1: Okay, I LOVE THIS TRIAL- I really love this trial. When somebody says "Danganronpa" THIS is the trial I think of. It isn't the best, and it's a very short chapter compared to SDR2 Chapter 5, but oh my gosh. I love it. I liked Sayaka a lot, and I also loved "Fake Junko" before I knew she was Mukuro. I thought that Leon was really cool too. I liked the introductory trials a lot, and this one is amazing! The series starts with a bang, and you realise "Oh shit this isn't as colourful and fun as I thought." The only reason this trial isn't higher is because it was obvious and easy. When I first played THH, I admit I didn't even notice 11037 on the wall and was stuck on the investigation for like... an hour... *disappointed sigh from me* but upon re-play it's easier than I remember. I know it's for Japanese speaking users who wouldn't know Leon/11037 in English. Highly re-playable, good twists, good introductory trial. 7/10
"Good bye my four dark devas of destruction..."
SDR2 Trial 4: I'm also probably going to get backlash for this opinion, but I still LOVE this chapter. I love the island, I love the motive, I love the strawberry and grape houses, and the elevator. I love the Hajime octagon meme! But, the trial was just DIFFICULT. I actually had a laptop infront of me the whole time with the answers up- I loved Mechamaru and the Sakura statue. I love Gundham and his hampsters. A great execution, a great trial room. Silly Fuyuhiko was the only reason Gundham got caught. I like that we got to switch between Nagito and Hajime's POVs and the Russian-Roulette scene. My only issue is that I'm dumb. That's it. 8/10, very re-playable.
"P-please Peko! Don't go! I NEED YOU! Don't leave me!"
SDR2 Trial 2: Okay, we are up to the final 4 in trials, and this one takes 4th place! I love it so much! I have ALMOST nothing bad to say about this trial at all! The relationship between Fuyuhiko and Peko was shown to beautifully during this trial. The execution was amazing, the music was absolutely a banger (as always) and oh my gosh. This trial made me so sad and emotional. Very smartly set out murder plan. Enough on the trial until a little bit later, my thoughts on the island are great. It's probably my favourite island in the game. The only thing bringing this chapter down a rank is the fanservice... THE DINER SCENE. If you've played you know what I mean... anyway, the only other thing bringing this chapter down is the motive. Twilight Murder Syndrome was a game I didn't care about. I didn't care about Sato or Natsumi. I didn't care about Girls A through E or Guy F. It got too confusing and annoying and I had to write down who each character was because they kept reffering to Mikan as Girl A. It got annoying, but I enjoyed this chapter and would replay it more than once. 8.5/10
In third place we have...
"AVRIL LAVIIIIINNNNGGGGGEEEE"
SDR2 Trial 1: Uh... even I'm surprised that a guy calling us "Avril Lavinge" got third place, but here we are. I don't care much for Teruteru or Imposter/Fake Byakuya, and the execution was a little bit silly. I loved this chapter, we got introduced to the characters and their aspects much better than in THH in the man hall, it helped us explore the island and learn the new locations/controls as well as hitting us with nostalgia. I have nothing bad to say about this chapter at all. I liked that Byakuya strangely tried to take charge (which was unlike what he did in THH) and I think that his dying resulted in Hajime realising he had to get his shit together and step up. Loved the references to the first game. Great humane motive, great chapter, great fun, not too hard not too easy. I loved this trial and chapter alot. 9/10.
In second place we have...
"Yep! You got it right!. I'm just going to confess, I'm the traitor."
SDR2 Trial 5: Yeah uh... I'M SO BIASED THAT THIS ISN'T FIRST, BECAUSE THIS IS TRULY THE BEST TRIAL OUT OF THE FIRST GAMES BUT WHATEVER THIS IS MY OPINION AND MY POLL HERE WE GO!
I loved this trial. Nothing bad to say. The chapter was amazing, the new island was great, the bomb thing. Awesome! The traitor being revealed? Awesome! I cried! NAGITO DYING SO BRUTALLY? AWESOME!!! I have nothing bad to say, and I loved this trial SO SO SO much! Hajime and the others in denial about Chiaki being the traitor was such a strong plot. I wish that the last trial of SDR2 was as good as this one, but it isn't :(. Let's start with Nagito COOKING. He absolutely ate, fire, luck, the whole plan was amazing! I don't know how he or the DR2 team came up with that, but whoever did NEEDS a raise bro! I think about this trial so much, I'm so dam passionate about it. The most brutal body discovery? Check! The saddest execution? Check! The best execution music? Check! The craziest body search and evidence search? CHECK! I loved this trial so so so so so so so much, and it deserves to be number one. Fully replayable, amazing, elite! I have no issues with it. 9.5/10
And... first place... omfg-
I love this trial so much. I can't even describe. When somebody says Danganronpa, THIS is the line I think of.
"JUST SHUT UP YOU SON OF A BITCH! SAY THAT AGAIN, I DARE YOU!"
"I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise. From one man to another..."
Peak Danganronpa (In my opinion). I agree, THH is the weakest of all the Danganronpa games in characters and visually. But if every trial cooked like this one, goddamit I WISH-
THH Trial 2.
I CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS CHAPTER!
Let's start: The motive, amazing. I loved it. Imagine your most embarrassing secret. "Nobody would kill over that" you'd be surprised. I loved the bromance between Ishimaru and Owada, and the sauna scene was just hilarious. The chapter body discovery was amazing, Byakuya framing Toko for no reason JUST to get her secret out was amazing (asshole move, but amazing) Celeste not mentioning the track-jacket colour... the emotion in their voices. The body search was fun! The new floor was fun! The free time events I chose were fun! I love Mondo, I love Kiyotaka, I love Chihiro. Another humane motive. I got chills hearing Kiyotaka's voice acting. CHILLS. Even though the execution story is terrible, and a bit goofy, just imagine being liquified... your body turns to mush, your internal organs fail you... your body eats itself and crushes itself, bones and all. GODDAMIT IT'S AMAZING. I also loved Syo in this trial. Who gave Byakuya the right to be such an ass though? I love it so much, I have nothing bad to say about it. I will replay it OVER AND OVER AND OVER I LOVE IT SO MUCH! 10/10
Anyway, sorry for this long-ass shit-post. Hope you enjoyed reading my opinions. I'm bored so I'm going to rank executions next, with shorter paragraphs. This includes the executions in V3, for those of you who love Strand of Agony and Der Flohwalzer!

lavender haze - christian pulisic
i feel the lavender haze creeping up on me
Tumblr media
summary - you are the sister of the infamous taylor swift. you have always been known as the “good girl” and upholding an innocent reputation. while traveling with your sister on tour, you cross paths with a certain soccer player while in london.
pairing - christian pulisic x fem!reader
song inspo - lavender haze (taylor swift)
warnings! - a little bit of strong language
word count - 2.5k
note - i have no idea why i wrote this if i’m being completely honest
part two
-
you woke up around 7 am, only about two hours left in your flight. you get up to find your sister who is somewhere on the plane.
it was your first time going on tour with taylor, and you weren't used to the whole private plane situation, being able to get up whenever. you had never really been in the public eye like her. sure you had a level of status and paparazzi was invested in your life, but nothing near what your sister deals with.
you walked closer to the front of the plane to find your sister wide awake and going her makeup. you looked to the other side of the plane to find joe still fast asleep.
"you're up early". she said as she continued putting on mascara.
it was true, you weren't very much of an "early bird". you liked to take your time waking up in the morning, and oyu often woke up around 10 am, never anywhere near 7 am, but you wanted to make sure you were up a little earlier to give yourself some time to wake up more before you landed.
you took a seat across from taylor and scrolled on instagram as she finished her make up.
"so, you excited to go to london?"
you put your phone down to look up at your sister.
"of course! the only time i've gone was for that one school trip in like freshman year. i'm excited that i can actually see the stuff i want to this time, and no have to follow an itinerary".
you and your sister sat in silence, mindlessly scrolling on your phones, and around 8 am joe finally woke up. his hair looked a mess, which earned a giggle out of you and taylor.
-
training finished a little earlier than scheduled, which of course, none of the boys were complaining.
"hey chris, wanna go to a bar tonight?" mason proposed.
"ben and reece are going, and we're also trying to get joao to go. you in?"
christian hadn't gone out in a few weeks and thought it was long overdue for a night out with the boys.
"yeah, i'm in. just let me know what time you guys are thinking".
"sick, okay".
mason and christian dabbed each other up and finished packing up their stuff from the locker room.
-
the plane was about to land, and as much and you liked the ride, you were ready to get on the ground. you were just so eager to explore the city. you had the whole day to do so, which made you giddy.
"calm down y/n, we land in like 10 minutes". taylor said, laughing a little bit at your eagerness. you couldn't sit still, it was like the most important thing in your life was about to happen. you had never been more excited for anything in your life. well, that might be on over-exaggeration, but to say you were excited was an understatement.
the plane finally landed, and you were the first one out the door, thanking the pilots and staff.
"finally here!"
-
having a chill day was just what christian needed. early training days were nice because that meant the boys had the rest of the day to do whatever they wanted. christian had gone out to but things from the grocery, and got to go see a movie, something he rarely did.
it was about 3 pm, and he was on his couch reading a book. mason had said 6 pm, so christian still had a good 2 and a half hours before he needed to start getting ready.
it was moments like these that christian loved. quiet moments, where he could sit and read, not thinking about anything else.
-
after a full day exploring, you were ready to get back to the hotel. it was only around 3 pm, but a whole day outside was more than enough for you. joe and proposed the idea of going to a bar for dinner and drinks later, which sounded amazing at the moment, but all you wanted to do was lay in your bed and read. you started the shatter me series, which was addicting to read.
time moved faster than you would have liked and before you knew it, it was 5 pm. they were planning to leave for the bar at around 6:15 pm they could get there at around 6:30, so you started getting ready. you didn't want to rush herself, and took your time.
you finished getting ready at around 5:50 pm, which gave you some time to spare, which you of course used to read.
ready? taylor texted, letting you know that she and joe were probably already in the hotel lobby.
yup, on my way down
-
the second christian got to the bar, he was greeted by his friends.
"there you are, mate! thought you would never show". reece yelled, acting like he was just so late. it was only like 6:09, not even a full 10 minutes late.
christian got a beer and joined his friends at a booth while they waited to order food.
"i was not in the mood to come earlier, but jesus, i'm hungry".
"yeah me too, i'll go flag down a waiter so we can get our order in".
just as mason leaves to get a waiter, people start crowding the front door.
"what the hell is going on?" christian asks, while trying to peer around their booth.
the insane crowd of people made it hard to see. the boys regained their focus back when mason walked over with a waiter.
"what can i get you all?"
-
as you arrived at the bar, you were met with a crowd of people.
great.
you had gone the whole day without crowds of people or paparazzi, but of course that streak to be ruined.
all good things come to and end i guess.
"just ignore the, lets go find a table. booth good?" your sister acts.
you always looked up to her, especially now and how she deals with all of the fame and crowds of people. you have to deal with it on a certain level, but never to the degree that she does, and you find it more than impressing. while trying to find a table you spot some familiar soccer player.
they play for chelsea! at least i think so.
you didn't know much about soccer, but you knew of some players, and considering your friend kendall is good friends with neymar jr, you knew a good amount.
you brushed the soccer guys out of your mind, only focusing on how hungry you were.
you got a nice booth in the corner of the bar. it was sort of hidden away from everyone, but you were still able to see the entire bar.
a waiter finally came to your table and you were more than happy.
"what can i get you guys?"
you spoke up first, eager to get your order in.
"i'll get a guinness, and then a cheese burger, american cheese, with french fries".
taylor gave you a shocked and puzzled look, but didn't say anything.
"i will have a cheese burger with provolone cheese and chips, thank you" joe said, putting an enphasis on chips as he looked at you.
ever since you met joe, the two of you had a running joke about fries vs chips, and the joke never went away.
taylor had gotten the same thing as you, and the waiter finished writing before walking back to give to order to the kitchen.
"y/n, what the hell, why did you get a beer?"
so that's what that face was about
"tay, i'm 23, not 5"
whenever you went out with your sister, you had never really gotten alcohol, and she still viewed you as this little girl, so whenever you showed any ounce of maturity, she simply denied it.
after about 20 minutes, your food was finally brought out, along with your drinks. you downed the burger faster than both joe and taylor, so you decided to hit the dance floor to pass the time, and now that you had some food in your body, you were feeling 10 times for energetic.
-
after christian had finished his food he walked over with mason to the dance floor. if there was one thing you needed to know about christian and mason, it was that they would never pass up an opportunity to dance.
christian and mason lost each other, and christian eventually found a girl to dance with. she was quiet a bit shorter than him, around 5'4" maybe.
after about one song, the music cut out. one of the bartenders said that they would try and figure out the problem as soon as possible.
"wanna get a drink?" christian offered. the girl nodded and they made their way over the the bar.
-
to your surprise, christian came up to you and asked to dance. how ironic. you of course could pass up the offer, and grabbed his hand. your back was pressed up against his chest, with his hand around your waist. you were enjoying yourself, until the music cut out. after the bartender said they would try fixing it, christian offered to go to the bar and get some drinks. how could you pass that up?
christian guided you to the bar with his hand still on your waist. you took a seat and was immediately met with the bartender asking you what you wanted to drink. you ordered another beer, to which christian ordered the same thing.
it was surprisingly not awkward between the two of you. you had realized you didn't introduce yourself, so you made sure to do so.
"i'm y/n by the way".
christian looked to you and gave you a smile.
god his smile was charming. you took a second to really look at his features. everything suited him so well, he was more than attractive.
"i'm christian".
he gave you a wink, and then the bartender came over with your beers.
the two of you chatted for a good two hours, before joe came over to tell you that it was time to leave. you sighed and told him you would be right out.
"looks like i gotta leave."
christian gave a little pout before taking out his phone.
"here, can i get your number?"
you gave him a smile and took his phone to put in your number.
"i'll see you around, y/n".
and with that you got up and caught up to joe and taylor.
-
christian sat there pleased before realizing who had come to get you.
was that fucking joe alwyn?
◯︎
the next morning christian woke up is a massive headache. he and his teammates had stayed out way too late, and he drank more than he should've.
even after all those drinks, christian still managed to remember you. after christian had gotten the chance to wake up a little more, he texted you.
hey, it's christian
this might be a long shot, but do you want to maybe go out to lunch?
christian sat there, anxiously waiting for a response. he knew it was very possible for you to still be in bed considering it was only 9 AM, but there was still a chance you would be up. christian turned on the tv to pass the time, letting his phone go dim while he focused on whatever show was on.
about 5 minutes later, christian's phone lit up.
y/n: yeah, that'd be nice! what time were you thinking?
christian picked up his phone and read over your text, and then read it over again to make sure he wasn't going crazy.
christian: how about 12-ish?
he waited for a response, and patiently looked at the three little dots that appeared on his screen.
y/n: 12 sounds great.
christian liked the message and then gave the address of his apartment.
christian: there is this really good place about 10 minutes walk from my apartment if you just want to meet me here.
you liked his text, leaving christian to his thoughts. he subconsciously started playing out how the lunch with you would go. christian never really go nervous for dates, especially something as casual as this, but you were different. he couldn't place his finger on it just yet, though.
◯︎
you called taylor to let her know that would be out in case she needed you for anything.
"a date? y/n, we haven't even been here two full days, how the fuck did you find someone to go on a date with?"
you weren't going to give her a straight answer, so you just brushed over the details.
"it's just this guy. it's super casual. i'll be back by like 2 okay. love you".
before taylor could protest even more, you hung up the phone. you touched up your makeup one last time before heading out of your hotel room.
you had gotten an uber to christian's apartment, and texted him that you were here.
christian: come on up to my apartment
and with that you headed to his apartment. once you got to his door you gave it a knock. he opened the door, and you tried your hardest not to blush. he wasn't even wearing anything nice, just a simple pair of black jeans, a white t-shirt, and a silver chain. he might have been wearing the most basic outfit, but it looked so good on him.
christian was the first person to break the silence.
"hey".
"hey".
"so shall we get going?"
you gave him a nod, and you stepped aside as christian stepped out of his door, locking it behind him.
on your way to the restaurant, taylor had called you.
"y/n, are you on your little date yet?"
"yeah i am, what do you want, taylor".
of course she had to call you while on your date, if that's what you can even call this. it was technically a date, but you felt like it was more casual than a date.
"just letting you know that you need to be ready to leave for the venue at around 5 PM, okay? joe said you and him can grab an uber, sound good?"
you agreed and hung up the phone.
"i'm sorry, that was my sister. we have plans tonight and she was making sure i didn't forget". you said with a little laugh.
christian nodded, and the two of you continued your conversation, before christian got a phone call.
"mason, i'm a little busy right now, but what do you need?"
"i know, it's at kai's house, i didn't forget. yeah okay. i gotta go, but i promise i'll be there. bye"
christian hung up his phone and sighed.
"sorry, just mates of mine. i too have plans tonight, and they were just reminding me for the hundredth time".
before the two of you knew it, you were at the restaurant, finally.
-
knowing joe alwyn, and a sister named taylor? you gotta be fucking kidding me, right?
-
mason and kai? so he most definitely does play for chelsea.
note - i did not mean for this to be so long, so i do have a part 2, which is linked at the top of this page. so sorry this is unnecessarily long

The Falling Star Incident
TW/CW: Acts of terrorism, plane crashes, swearing, mention of trauma, rape and death. Note: This is never a part of my HC, nor I ship RusAme, the tag is only there for views.
Project Personification Watchforce
Incident Date: 06/15/1986
Security Rating: Classifiied
Rated For: President of America and Russian President's eyes only
On June 15, 1986, an incident occurred with two personifications, PN-04 and PN-07, otherwise known as America and Russia respectively, within National Airlines Flight 2354 departing from New York to Seattle which resulted in a horrific loss of life incident.
Tumblr media
*Boeing 747-135 of National Airlines similar to accident aircraft*
*The following is a recreation of the incident and measures being taken place to this current date as of 8/9/2024*
[A national 747-135 sits at the gate at Newark Airport, ready for it's flight to Seattle, inside the airport, passengers roam to their respective flights as announcements sound off for various flights, a flight attendant gets to the Gate Attendant as passengers board the jumbo jet]
Flight Attendant: I hope I'm not late! Gate Attendant: Oh! Just 10 minutes before departure.
[The Gate Attendant checks her ticket, the Flight Attendant looks at the board and sees that National Airlines Flight 2354 is on time for departure]
Gate Attendant: Here you go. [He gives her his ticket] Same as your birthday?
Flight Attendant: What?
Gate Attendant: The departure time, it's the same as your birthday, September 25th.
Flight Attendant: Okay, I must go.
Gate Attendant: Have a nice flight!
Flight Attendant: You too!
[She goes off to board the jet, but after her, two men, one with blue eyes, blond hair and a cowlick and another who is taller, has platinum blond hair and violet eyes are surrounded by people from their governments, seemingly their handlers, guide them onboard the 747, on board, passengers stow away their luggage and take their seats, on the flight deck, the Captain, First Officer, and Flight Engineer prepare for departure]
Captain: Alright, it's almost time for us to depart, go through the checklist.
Flight Engineer: It's the first time I've been an engineer aboard a 747, I hope I don't mess this up.
[The Gate Attendants closes the doors to the gate, and onboard, the one of the Flight Attendants close the cabin doors, the Captain goes on the PA System]
Captain: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, we are now leaving the gate, flight attendants, please prepare for pushback.
[The tug then pushes the 747 out of the gate and onto the apron, the JT9D engines begin to spool up as they start up, on board, the lights in the cabin dim]
Flight Attendant 2: [On PA System] Please notice that the lights have been dimmed for this night takeoff.
[Back on the flight deck]
Captain: Turn on engines One and Two, activate the taxi lights.
[The tug gets the 747 onto the apron, it detaches and moves out of the way, and the 747 rolls towards the runway, after a while of taxing, it lines up on the runway, the Captain pushes the throttles towards takeoff thrust as the jumbo jet speeds down the runway]
Captain: V1, Rotate.
[The massive 747 then lifts off, on its way toward Seattle, however, during takeoff, the aircraft begins to shake and rattle during takeoff, but it then subsides]
Captain: Well, that just happened.
[33 minutes after takeoff, the 747 reached it's cruising altitude, on board, the fasten seatbelt sign turns off, and food service starts]
Passenger: Excuse me, I can I have a cup of water, just a water, you know.
Male Flight Attendant: Okay, I'll be right back.
[He then goes back to get a water bottle, to which he pours into his cup, back on the flight deck, a Flight Attendant goes to the flight deck to give the flight crew their meal]
Flight Attendant: Here's your meal!
Flight Engineer: Oh, thanks!
[In the top deck, there is some banter going on]
Passenger: You know, there's just something off about this.
Other Passenger: What do you mean?
Passenger: This food's like, I don't know, it's a bit bland. It's always like this on airlines. Like, what's the deal with it?
Other Passenger: They don't taste bad, I don't see that's the deal with it.
Passenger: Of course you don't, you just don't understand. Every food that I tasted whenever I'm on a plane, it always seems to taste really bad.
Other Passenger: [Groans] Whatever you say.
[The Flight Attendant is in the middle of the cabin checking on all the passengers, when the other Flight Attendant came through the curtains]
Flight Attendant 2: Hello, Alice!
Flight Attendant: Yeah?
Flight Attendant 2: What are you planning to do when you get to Seattle?
Flight Attendant: Oh, I'm going on a business trip after this flight, I'm looking forward to being promoted tomorrow.
[One of the flight attendants gets to the front of the cabin when she heard something]
???: Why am I sitting next to this sh!thead?
[She turns over to the blond man sitting next to the Russian]
Flight Attendant 3: Sir, is there something wrong?
???: You're d@mn right there's something wrong!
[The Russian spoke up] Russian: Always hot heated are you, Америка?
America: Shut the f&ck up, Russia! Like the time you decapitated England in front of me and RAPED me!?!
[America goes for a punch, which is blocked by Russia, and he slams him against the cabin]
Flight Attendant 3: Sir, you need to calm down!
[The handers try to subdue America, but he shoves them off as he squares up Russia, who has a sadistic smile on his face]
America: You wanna f&cking go?
[Russia smiles as he undoes his coat, revealing a bomb, America does the same to his jacket, also revealing another bomb]
Flight Attendant 3: Sir! You need to stop!
America: Shut it, b!tch! I'm gonna take you down to hell!
Russia: Not if I take you down with me.
America: Commie B@stard!
Russia: [Smiles] Capitalist Pig.
[The entire cabin is filled with tension as scared passengers, Flight Attendants and handlers try to stop them, back to the rear of the cabin with Alice and the other Flight Attendant]
Alice: And after that I'm going back home, so what about you—
[Suddenly, everyone is knocked back by a massive explosion that tears a hole in the 747, the flight deck shakes from the explosion]
Captain: Woah!
Flight Engineer: What's happening?!
[It was chaos in the cabin as luggage flies everywhere, passengers are sucked out, and the port engines catch on fire]
Captain: Mayday, Mayday, Mayday, this is Flight 2354, we're declaring an emergency!
[The crew struggles to keep the 747 flying as hydraulic systems are burned up and the airframe begins to go past it's stress limits]
Captain: Right, now put the thrust back—
[Suddenly, the fuel tank explodes as the forward section of the fuselage breaks away and falls, the burning body then falls back to Earth, the tail section breaking up from aerodynamic stresses, on a dark road, a couple was sitting by a car, when suddenly the burning fuselage crashes onto the ground with a massive explosion]
Guy: What the f&ck was that?!
[They look in horror at the aftermath of the crash as it begins to start a fire]
*END RECREATION*
The cause of the accident was due to America being sat next to Russia, and because of their hatred, they tried to eliminate each other via a bomb, resulting in the deaths of all passengers and crew, they both fell 35,000 feet and survived, and continued to fight until being picked up by local police, we had to cover up the crash under the guise of an electrical failure which caused the crash, and as a result, America and Russia should never be aboard passenger aircraft, and must be put into containers aboard cargo aircraft to avoid the same mistake from happening, these containers should be marked secret, and the flight crew should never be told about the cargo, however, should this ever happen again, the subject of terminating all the Personifications will be taken into consideration.

Local amnesiac clockman in dystopian city gets hired/abducted by the 12 complete messes based on literature, the lamest badass in the setting and his funny amnesiac daughter. Gets told to give therapy to said messes by looking for branches in ruined scp facilities while occasionally incurring on the wrath of capitalism and the little prince for some reason.
Said total messes are:
Straight up the korean poet Yi Sang because his most known poem had a character named "I"
Autism filled woman who is technically the actual boss of everyone
Woman don quixote
Fucked up japanese artist except her art is violence
Autistic french man with gap moe
Sheltered chinese man with the most fucked up family ever
A brit with a bat named revenge
Fish bisexual obsessed with murdering a metaphorical whale
Mommy Russian with only food and no hindsight in her head
Closeted young man with a fuckload of trauma involving ableist cultists
Straight up fucking Odysseus but in woman
And our ptsd riddled cockroach: Greg
See on one hand I genuinely appreciate the attempt here.
On the other hand this is extremely fandomized and I can't really learn anything from it as a result, especially considering that this covered stuff I already sorta know from just having played through the first major part of the game before having issues with it but more specifically from the fact that it's on the website for the game.
I need to reiterate my first bit here, I genuinely appreciate the attempt and I do not seek to belittle or insult the sender or anyone in question for attempting to enlighten me on the game but hear me out if you will...
All the information provided can be obtained from the website for the game or the first 10 minutes of the game; however it is only partially factual.
I am interested in Limbus Company, the game; not "Limbus Company The Abridged Version As Seen by the Fandom." When people go on and on about character analysis and plot depth and why it's so cool and interesting and deep and fun I want to jump in and engage with them on the narrative and such, but I can't because I'm not: A. Financially well off to Gacha for shit. B. Good enough at the game to get very far. And as a website that talks a lot about accessibility in games I feel like if anyone is going to shoot me down with a "git gud" it'd be kinda dumb, like sir/ma'am/individual of non-specific gender identity; you are on the "games should let you experience the story even if you're bad" website, please sit down.
I was honestly kind of hopeful that I would get some serious answers; and while some people have given me more serious answers than others; a lot of what I get is either specifically the start of the game which ignores/overlooks/doesn't mention the folks Dante is having an encounter with at the start, the fact they can use their clock head powers to turn back time and revive the sinners; or even the fact that they have no idea why any of it can happen. Like no one has even mentioned the whole star thing? I think it was a star? Something like that, anyways that thing was pretty cool and no one talks about it.
What I do often hear is how cooky and ku-ray-zee the main cast of silly little guys is; which I feel massively takes away from who they actually are.
"And our ptsd riddled cockroach: Greg" Alright since I've actually played through the first bit of the game so I know just enough about Gregor's story, why do we summarize a man who literally was a child experiment; who was betrayed by the only parental figure he knew; who was made to kill and murder without understanding of it literally like drugged or some shit to think he was just cutting apples; and who's body literally mutates into a cockroach down to just "lol he's a silly little guy with ptsd" ptsd from what exactly? Oh you mean the fucking Smoke Wars? One of the if not the biggest event in the PM Universe?
Like okay I understand I said "hey maybe don't send me entire documentary style paragraphs of text because my ADHD brain will not let me read them" and that's true, but I also really don't vibe with this whole concept of "this person doesn't know the characters at all so I'm going to call one bisexual, I'm going to call one a mommy, I'm going to call one a ptsd riddled cockroach named greg lol" Like I don't know how much of this is fandom and how much of this is real anymore. I know that some characters in PM's universe ARE LGBT so the idea of one of the Sinners maybe being Bisexual isn't too far fetched, but is that completely fandom interpretation or is it real? I sure as hell don't know when characters like Gregor who have deeper meaningful stories that tie into the world as a whole are boiled down to a one line joke about, I guess his name being Greg?
Like again I have nothing against the person who sent this or anything, I'm sure you meant well and I'm glad you're excited enough about the game that you reached out to me; that's all great and such, but I can't help but need to point out that you're talking to someone who knows almost nothing, but not nothing; about this game
and you're choosing to represent it in such a way that might be factual or might be fandomized and I can't tell the difference when the things I know are fandomized are present or when it mostly consists of jokes.
"Local amnesiac clockman in dystopian city gets hired/abducted by the 12 complete messes based on literature, the lamest badass in the setting and his funny amnesiac daughter."
Kind of not really. Like I'm not even going to get into the fact that technically speaking Dante is a Clock Person not necessarily confirmed Clock Man. I AM however going to get into the fact that they come to Dante's rescue(?) during what is essentially an execution; Dante is going to die and these 12 sinners jump in to fight for them for seemingly some reason we don't get to know yet. Hired is a much better word than abducted in this sense. Don't even get me started on "the lamest badass" because like, that entirely ignores the fact you're talking about who I can only assume is Vergilius AKA The Red Gaze, which is sorta huge considering what we've seen of Color Fixers, and you know; the entirety of the Comic/Light Novel Leviathan released prior to the game. What would a color fixer be doing with the sinners? What is his connection with Dante? Even having read Leviathan these sorts of questions are interesting and they create interest as someone who wants to question and explore the setting and it's themes.
AND I'M SORRY BUT "HIS DAUGHTER"??? Has that been confirmed because I highly doubt that unless there's some dialogue somewhere in the game that shows he adopted her or something, I mean yea he clearly cares about the orphans, but like I don't recall him ever adopting her and if he did I can't tell if you're telling me a fact or a fandom here because of everything else you've stated.
Are you beginning to see the problem here?
I literally have to wave off everything you just told me as no more than "lol silly jokes man lol" and I don't mean to be some asshole about it either but this isn't really going to help anyone get into a game or a story or anything because I don't really KNOW anything about it.
Again I'm not mad, I'm not trying to be rude; I've got nothing against Alex or anything! I appreciate someone taking the time out of their day to send me this but it ultimately doesn't tell me anything I'm just as much in the dark as I was.
This is specifically why it's so hard for me to interact with a lot of larger communities, a lot of the information I want is factual, from the source material; but I'm perhaps not skilled enough at the games to obtain it myself, so I turn to the community for information since people tend to enjoy talking about the things they like, and instead of getting actual information I get in-jokes I don't yet have context for, and fandomization that isn't actually true to the source material.
I understand I may come off a little harsh here, so for that I do apologize if I've come across rude. That being said, please do try to refrain from sending people who know next to nothing about your interests, a ton of fandomized in-jokes they won't understand, it feeds into the misinformation loop. Can you imagine if I went around telling everyone that Charon was Vergil's daughter when in reality he treats her as "something of a daughter" according to the publicly editable and horrible "fandom wiki" which is the only place that I could find information about it.
Tumblr media
This isn't the same thing as say a biological daughter, or even an adoptive one. Which could be an interesting plot dynamic. I mean do you guys remember what happened last time a Color Fixer had a kid? Or rather I should say, last time a Color Fixer WAS GOING to have a kid? That was kind of a big deal. It's not really a shocker to learn that the guy who really likes orphans would be nice to the child.
anyways sorry for the lengthy explanation of "this isn't really what I'm looking for" but I've literally spoke on this whole "fandomization of characters bothers me a lot" topic before several times for literally this exact reason.

1~ What quality do you value most highly in others? Considering the traditional and backwards culture my country is known to live by, I appreciate someone who's open-minded and thinks in a more modern, less discriminating way.
2~ Are you more aggressive or mellow? It depends...this is a very broad question. I can be aggressive when it comes to people or things I deeply care about, and mostly mellow-ly nonchalant towards everything else.
3~ Who has made the biggest sacrifice for you? My parents, easily.
4~ Do you take any vitamins or medication? I don't. Nothing regular.
5~ Do you want to grow old with someone? It would be nice to grow old with my best friend, but I also don't, like, actively pressure her to do so. She has her own future and family to think about, and I don't mind being one of the supporting characters in her arc. It would just be nice to have the rest of our lives together.
6~ Do you treat others better or worse than yourself and why? It used to be 100% better than myself, but I'm slowly starting to prioritize myself now too. That being said, I've started to enforce boundaries and to learn how to say no when I want to.
7~ What sound is annoying you right now? Eh, nothing. It's fairly silent at the moment.
8~ Where was your last vacation to? We had back to back trips to Bulacan, Vietnam, and Tagaytay the last month. My family also booked a last-minute weekend someplace south but I didn't go with as I went to Hans and Angela's engagement party that same time.
9~ Where was your last car ride to? My uncle's new place! He finally moved into the home he's been building and finishing up the last few years and it's beautiful.
10~ Where did you last walk to? Just upstairs, here to my bedroom.
11~ What gives you a peaceful feeling? Rainy weather.
12~ Are you a light sleeper? No, I'm usually nearly impossible to wake up which is why I always need 4-5 consecutive alarms set.
13~ When you sleep next to someone who usually falls asleep first? I get veeeerrryyyy conscious sleeping around other people, so it's usually them.
14~ How many people have a piece of your heart? Like less than 10.
15~ What do your salt and pepper shakers look like? They're not shakers; they're just tupperwares with their own scoops.
16~ When was the last time you hurt yourself? Intentionally? Years ago. Maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Unintentionally – happens a lot, so yesterday would be my best guess.
17~ Would you rather live in the city, suburbs or the country? City. I grew up in the suburbs my entire life and don't know the sound of a bustling city at all. I'd love to be surrounded by it now that I'm at pretty much the peak of my 20s.
18~ Have you ever built something? I'm sure I have.
19~ Are you more of a maker and giver, or a taker and user? Taker and user. I like going by other people's lead.
20~ Do you take naps? Rarely. Only when I'm extremely, extremely beat – like yesterday.
21~ Do you buy holiday gifts early or at the last minute? I always do it last-minute and get stressed every time lol, I never learn.
22~ Do you laugh when there is no joke and dance when there is no music? Dance, yes. But I don't think I've ever laughed out of nowhere. I always at least remember some kind of memory.
23~ If someone else were to describe you what would you hope they would say? That I have been mentally strong. Or thoughtful – that would honestly be nice to hear, too.
24~ What is the dirtiest habit you can think of? Like, of anyone? I saw someone on Reddit say they enjoy cleaning out their shower drain and that the more hair they get out of it, the better. Something I never expected to read that day tbh lol
25~ Do you ever need ‘quiet time’? Absolutely, and I need it more and more these days since there's now so much more demanded of me at my job, with everyone having eyes on my every move. By the end of every fucking week I'm just out and do not want to deal with anything and anyone.
26~ Do you think it is harder for a parent to outlive their child or for the child to outlive their parent? The former definitely, just because that's not usually expected to happen. My aunt had her son (my uncle) pass at 40; there's not a week I don't think of her and how she's doing.
27~ What was your best find from a flea market, garage sale, ebay or thrift? I found a copy of the WWE Encyclopedia in pristine condition at a secondhand book store. Copped that shit i m m e d i a t e l y.
28~ What is one selfish thing you tend to do? Prioritize myself and my feelings.
29~ What kinds of people do you find intimidating? Mostly people who have had more experience than I've had in our industry. It's intimidation coming from a place of respect, though – I try not to be actively scared of them and instead take the opportunity to learn from them no matter what their mentorship style is (unless they are assholes lol, which I won't tolerate. But thankfully I've never had to encounter someone of the sort).
30~ Out of everyone you know who has the most unique personality? Ades probably? He's the kind of smart that almost makes him weird, but I've never found it off-putting. I like hearing his thoughts whenever I can.
31~ When do you do your best thinking? After-work hours, ie anytime after 6 PM; or on the weekends – which is the time I get to think without needing to worry about deadlines.
32~ What was a choice that you didn’t want to make but you had to? Choosing to move on from my ex four years ago; I genuinely thought there was still a chance we could get back together. I was desperate and delusional at the start, trying to still keep up conversations with her whenever I could and thinking that any reply from her was progress in the direction I wanted. Soon enough I realized that she wanted nothing to do with me anymore and seemed perfectly fine and free without me, and that made it much easier to move past.
33~ Have you ever written a letter to a soldier? No.
34~ What does your favorite coffee mug look like? It's just a plain black glass mug.
35~ What age do you think it is most difficult to be? From my own observation of others around me, 25 seems to be quite the hurdle. Everyone seems to be so pressured and is doing a bunch of stuff to overcome the quarter-life crisis...but personally I think I've handled it quite well and am proud of that.
36~ Do you think you could handle a day in jail? I think my anxiety would eat me alive for the better part of it, but it's a day. I think I'd be able to manage, even if barely.
37~ Who is the most overbearing person you know? L.
38~ Have you ever been on a trampoline? Sure.
39~ What do you use batteries for the most often? My Army lightstick, hah.
40~ Would you prefer to wrap your own presents or have them all gift wrapped? I'm terrible at wrapping presents so I either have my sister do it (if we still have time, because I do my gift shopping last minute like I said) or I just buy a bunch of paper bags to put my gifts in.

How would you describe the Stilton family?
Or
How do you think a Thea Sisters x Geronimo Stilton book would go down?
How about I answer both? :3
OKAY SO the Stilton family is, dare I say it, one big dysfunctional mess :D There are good parts and members of the family who are vibing (see Aunt Sugarfur and her family, who made their debut in The Wedding Crasher), but they are an absolute MESS.
Thea is the crystal clear favorite, Trap is... well, Trap, and WILLIAM SHORTPAWS. Oh BOY. His whole "only I'm allowed to talk smack about him" thing and constant Steven He emotional damage dealt on Geronimo would probably be considered emotional abuse at this point. Actually nah I looked it up and it IS emotional abuse, from the neglect to the verbal abuse to the gaslighting (I SEE YOU WILLIAM PUTTING A LITERAL KID-FRIENDLY SHOCK COLLAR ON G JUST TO MAKE SURE HE'S WORKING AND EMOTIONALLY MANIPULATING HIM TO SELL HIS HOUSE AND BELONGINGS IN MOUSE HOUSE HUNTER). The entire package. Not the best look for the main patriarch of the Stilton family, is it?
AND NOW WITH THAT OUT OF THE WAY I've actually been toying around with the idea of a Thea Sisters x Geronimo Stilton book for a while now. Stuff going into the grindstone, maybe I might put out something but so far nothing's stuck besides "what if Violet and Geronimo switched places?" Okay hear me out.
Violet and G have been known to be very similar to each other: shy, introverted bookworms who like classical music, antiquities and history-related things; both of them are planners who prefer not to have things shoved upon them at the last minute; take sleep very seriously; can come off as "lazy" when they have a day off just to relax (Colette even calls Violet "lazy" in one of the Secret Thea Sisters' Diary entries, Italian because Scholastic hASN'T TRANSLATED THEM YET--); AND TO PUT THE CHERRY ON TOP, they love their families, although one is more problematic than the other.
As a pleb who hasn't read the Thea Stilton books, you'd think "hmmm okay, if Vi is that much similar to G, doesn't that just make Violet a genderbent G?"
Well, yes and no. Violet, for one, isn't a doormat. She's inarguably one of if not THE Thea Sister who's thrown the absolute most shade on people she doesn't exactly like (from roasting Colette on multiple occasions albeit from behind her back, to confronting villains like the Three Scottish Assholes (the Golden Grumps and Angus from Old Castle), A PERSON HOLDING THEM HOSTAGE (Dunya from Blue Scarab Hunt), AND a guy who literally had her life or death in his hands (Luke Von Klawitz from the Treasure Seekers). Then there's the time she schooled Enrico Mousetti in Dancing Shadows, and chef's kiss, beautiful, 10/10, would watch her roast the hell out of him again.
Violet is a confrontational person when it counts, and unlike Geronimo, she is not good with people pushing her around like it's nothing (if anything, it's one of her biggest pet peeves).
So I ask again: what if Violet and Geronimo switched places?
How it happens is up for you to headcanon, but what if Violet had to have one of those adventures where either Hercule Poirat, Bruce Hyena, Wild Willie or someone else burst in like "VIOLET HOLY F#^K" and dragged her onto a mission? She wouldn't take it sitting down, I'm sure :]
I'll leave you to think on that :]]]
Was the second question an excuse for me to vomit my brain out for the entire fandom to see? Yes.
Do I regret it? No.
Would I make fanfic about this sort of scenario when an idea more solid than daily brainrot comes to me? Maybe.
Anyway, I hope you like that answer Anon. I'm very surprised and mildly flattered on just how fast a question came into my inbox. Hope to answer your questions again ^^

sorry if this feels weird but i just wanted to say i'm in the exact same place and your tags felt like something i could've written. i've known my friend for over 10 years. we went from talking daily to texting each other every few weeks or once a month, and even when we do talk, it just feels forced. nothing really happened between us, we just kinda drifted apart. i do the same things everyday so i never have anything new to tell her and i'm convinced i've become the most boring person on earth lol. she's got a boyfriend some months ago, and i feel like he's slowly "replacing" me (she now takes him to places where we'd go together, she cancels plans with me last minute to hang out with him, etc) but i literally do not know how to talk to her about it without sounding jealous or pathetic or something, because i'm genuinely happy that she's happy, it's just that i feel like it hasn't been the same since he's in the picture. at this point i don't know what to do, because my friendships are the most important things in my life for me and there's noone else i feel this close to, she's always been like a sister to me, but at the same time i feel like i'm just living through memories of what once was and it kills me that she might not even register the fact that our friendship is slowly dying and that my presence in her life has just become so intrascendental that when i'm not there it just goes unnoticed :/ anyway so sorry again for venting, sincerely hope you manage to solve things with her💌
hello honey! tnx for sharing this with me
it really does feel like i could’ve written ur message too hjsksks honestly the fact that nothing really happened makes it harder to process bc there’s nothing to blame besides some kind of incompatibility that was never there before. communicating a situation like this is so tricky bc there’s a great deal of pride that goes into it, feels like asking for sth the other person doesnt want to give anymore and its not easy to go over our own ego like that
the boyfriend bit well its an added onus, its only natural that a relationship will isolate people for a while esp at the beginning, but in this case seems like it does highlight the distance :(
honestly have no idea what to do either bc im the kind of person that thinks 100x over if im being a bother or not and hate the idea of forcing someone into indulging me out of politeness. like just an example the other day i tried to talk to her ab sth thats been literally taking my sleep for weeks and i hadnt talked to anyone but my therapist after an entire convo ab her day etc etc and i could tell she was just not interested. i changed the subject, we talked some more ab her for a bit and that was it, but the regret of it is still here bc it felt like i was bothering her. i mean we go out, we talk, but i feel like its a lot more bc of me over like the last year or so.
and i hope you can make the best out of your situation as well ❤️ lets just try to not internalize someone’s disinterest bc there are more people to meet and more things to see in the world. uneasy feelings for sure, but we move! sending love

Legacy of the Fallen- Chapter 15
It's FINALLY here guys!!!! It only took me... 10 months to get this chapter finished (it might not feel that way to you because I've been updating posts, but I promise you it's been that long). The worst writer's block ever is finally over! The blight of Chapter 15 has freed me!
Now, that being said, I'm sorry for what is about to occur...
Prologue
Chapter 1
Last Chapter
Table of Contents
Rise
Dear Mother,
The sunset is beautiful today. The sky is a blend of cyan, orange, and magenta, with wispy clouds that look like crystals in the sky that were lit by the flame of the sun.
I feel like I owe you an apology for believing in a reality that never existed. I know I couldn’t really help it; why wouldn’t have I believed what Father told me? There’s just this feeling that I should have known. If I admit it to myself, I always knew you were gone. Why wouldn’t you be here with us if you weren’t?
I debated whether I should write this tonight, after all, you’re never going to see this and I will never get to meet you again. Is it weird that I’m grieving someone I never had? Or at least someone I can’t remember? The question I’ve had has finally been answered, and that place that just wondered before is now empty and I don’t know what to do with that. I don’t feel I have the right to grieve your death. It’s been so long, and Jacob lost so much. He knew his mother, loved her deeply, and I’ve lost nothing.
I feel like I should be angry, and part of me is. I should have known about all of this from the start; it’s part of my past and my identity too. I just can’t bring myself to be so, though. I just feel lost and anxious. What more is there that I don’t know? I’m faced with an entire world of things I’ve only seen glimpses of before- and then I didn’t know what I was looking at.
I wonder what my life would have been like if I had known, or even what it would have been like if that day hadn’t happened. Would I have even known about human life? Would you have taught me about it like I’m learning about Hecathian culture now? I would have been a princess? Rather than a nobody who never stayed in one place long enough to have anyone remember my name? That world is so far away from reality that I can’t believe that it could have been real.
Everything is so sudden, and I can’t help but fear that everything I’ve known is going to be gone forever. I’m most afraid because everything already has changed. The only thing that hasn’t is that I’m still the outsider who will never belong, and I’m okay with that. I just wish it would go back to no one knowing who I was too, so I could, at least, do it in peace.
What is the cost of learning the truth?
Everything.
Annamarie (Allenesaia) Olson
____________________________
Anna adjusted her grip on the training stick, its surprising weight causing it to waver in her hands despite its small size. She shifted her weight to her right leg; her eyes were glued to the base of the stick where her tired hands gripped the smooth, solid wood. Sucking in a breath, she swung it down to second position, stepping forward with her left foot to hit her mark.
The weight of Jacob’s eyes on her sent heat to her face as she transitioned into third, extremely conscious of not tripping over her own feet as he watched. She was definitely doing something wrong. His narrowed gaze, crossed arms, and general aura of judgement were not helping and sent her nerves crawling up her spine. She pushed down the bubbling frustration in her gut as she leaned into position four, her tired muscles straining after repeating the same steps for nearly hours.
Jacob had knocked on her door three hours after the sun had set, just as everyone else in their building was settling down for bed. For the first thirty minutes, he had her run in circles around the training room before proceeding to lead her through a series of stretches that twisted her into unnatural and nearly painful positions while she gasped to regain her breath. He then launched into what she could only describe as a lecture about the ‘mindset of a warrior,’ which she admittedly had difficulty following as she spent the majority of the time trying not to yawn in his face.
He must have noticed the glazed look in her eyes or her slumping shoulders as she sat on the cold stone floor, as she was startled to attention by a semi-loud shriek that echoed off the panelled walls. His eyes sparkled with mischief when they met hers, and he released a chuckle at his own antics. “Lesson one,” he offered her a hand to help her stand; she took it. “Always pay attention to what your opponent is doing.”
He pulled her up, her eyes flying wide as her feet almost flew off the ground. Once she regained her footing, he turned to grab their supplies. At that point, she had been ready to curl up under her blankets and sleep like any sane person would do at midnight.
Jacob was not sane though, as they were still here, with him critiquing everything she did. In the span of a couple hours, she had learned that the way she stood made it too easy for her to be pushed over, her wrists might as well have been poles with how stiff they were, and her manner of moving made her look tiny and fragile- an easy target. Never mind the fact that she was kind of small-framed and perhaps a little short, and physical education was one of her worst subjects. She didn’t really know what Jacob was expecting from her, after all, he did have eyes that could see she was far from being athletic.
“Stop watching your hands,” his reminder rang around the room as she cut through the transition from four to five. She imagined knocking his knees out from under him, before immediately taking the thought back. The hazy glow of the overhead light along with her heavy eyelids made it feel as though she were pushing her body through water. The large windows around the room were painted black by the complete darkness of the night, with barely a speck of stars visible from her position.
As she pulled her arms up to position six, her eyes flew wide as she felt the outer edge of her shoe caught on the other. She stumbled forward, slamming her foot down to stop herself from faceplanting. She winced at how the noise echoed, the sound vibrating in her ears. Slowly, she turned to look over her shoulder, meeting Jacob’s raised eyebrows. She puffed out a breath, subtly hoping he would recognise just how tired she had become. “This isn’t helping,” she sighed.
He said nothing while his stare held that slightly amused glint in his eyes that only boiled her frustration more.
“We’ve been here for hours,” she told him like he wouldn’t have known that. “And I just feel like I’m waving around a stick.”
“You are waving around a stick,” his matter-of-fact tone brought back that tiny urge she had locked away in her subconscious to smack him with said stick. “It takes more than two hours to master the art of waving around a stick.”
She pursed her lips, unamused. It’s not like anyone can become a dualist in a single night, she mused to herself. Instead of saying so, she nodded and broke eye contact. She waved the stick back and forth in her hand listlessly, listening to the soft whistle it left in its wake. “Okay,” she turned on her heel, resetting to begin once again.
“This time, angle your elbows more. You have noodle arms and you’re not giving yourself the space you could have.” He’d said it before, probably an hour ago. Part of her wondered if he had just wanted to say ‘noodle arms’ again. “Also, stop locking your knees or you’ll really end up flat on your face.”
She shot him a look, one she could only hope conveyed every ounce of irritation and exhaustion that ran through her small frame at that exact moment. Her muscles screamed at her as she took her stance, ignoring how her thighs were shaking from the effort of keeping her upright, and once again, she wondered if she would get the reward of her room’s soft blankets afterwards.
“Turn out your toes more,” his voice cut into her daydream of sleep yet again. “Angle your weight forward. Shifting your weight as you take each step gives your opponent those seconds to catch you off guard.”
She knew this point was important, she really did. This was the third time he had said something of the sort. Her understanding of this fact did not stop her from shooting him another look that told him how little she cared about being there at the immoral hour of two o’clock in the morning. The intrusive urge to smack him with the stick arose once again, paired with the unfortunate thought of how hitting him would actually take effort and energy.
The amused sparkle was back in his eyes, and the corners of his mouth lifted in a bad attempt at concealing his laughter. He was definitely onto what was left of her thought processes. The part of her that was awake enough to mind her inappropriately violent thoughts shrivelled with guilt and shame while the hazy side took greater pride in his awareness of her silent threats.
“I’ll cut you a deal,” Jacob let a soft laugh escape into the night, a bemused smile lighting up his features. “Three more sets and we can be done for the night.”
“One,” she countered, blinking her eyes so he would notice the redness that was surely there.
“Two,” he leaned forward slightly, his gaze softening. “Final offer, and only if you fix those issues we talked about.”
She narrowed her eyes in an attempt to glare, but only earned another chuckle from him. Why is he always laughing like that? She mused to herself halfheartedly. She somehow knew he wasn’t making fun of her, but it still irked her a little bit.
“Better start over,” he gestured for her to begin. “The longer you wait, the longer we’ll be here.”
Anna tossed her hair away from her face, almost expecting her curls to hit her back like they used to. She bent her knees, shifting her weight onto the balls of her feet, holding the stick at the forty-five-degree angle of first position with her right foot forward in preparation to advance. One. Remembering his words, she boxed out her elbows, strengthening the angles in a way that made her feel like a mannequin. She lunged forward, her arms straightening as they carved downward. Two. She felt the twist in her sides as she crossed the stick over to her right. Three. Her wrists were stiff and clumsy as they twisted to cross to her left, her thighs burning with effort with her slightly lowered position. Four. She winced as she clipped her shoulder as it whirled along her side, leaving the ghost of a cut as if it were a real blade. Five. As her arms straightened, she glanced back at Jacob, expecting to see the chiding look he had directed at her for most of the night. Six. Instead, his eyes were unfocused; distant. His brows were furrowed, and his fingers dug into the black sleeves of his shirt. Anna refocused, her arms raising above her head in the prep position. Seven. She sliced downward, her final step hitting the floor with a sense of finality. Eight.
She paused, waiting for Jacob’s criticism, only to be met by passing seconds of silence. She dropped her stance, turning to fully face him. He had barely moved, as though he had been frozen. His face was pale, arms slipped from his tight posture to now dangle helplessly at his sides. His face was slack, but his eyes were ablaze with unadulterated golden light. His lips suddenly moved, forming a single word that Anna had to strain to hear; a name.
“Adara,” Jacob’s broken whisper sent a chill down her spine. Anna was suddenly thrown back into the small office she had been in the first time she had heard that name, spoken with the same broken fear as he did now. She watched as the glow in his eyes fizzled out. He stayed for a couple seconds longer, and she could hear his breath shaking from where she stood, his face twisting with fear as he sought her gaze.
“I have to go,” his voice was soft, barely there. His feet stuttered as he turned; not to the door, but to the small room which stored their armour and weapons.
Anna watched him with wide eyes, suddenly wide awake. He emerged moments later, strapping on his armour as he walked and the deceptive golden rod tightly gripped in his hand. He moved to the main door, only stopping as he seemingly remembered she was there. His intense gold eyes bore down on her from across the room, communicating indiscernible things she couldn’t comprehend.
“Stay inside,” he ordered, urgency coating his words. “Don’t go out until I come back.” He hesitated, his lips twitching as though he were contemplating saying more. “If I’m not back by morning,” he swallowed. “Go to Cameron. Don’t trust anyone else, do you understand?”
Anna blinked at him, her lips parted as dozens of questions swarmed her mind. She nodded anyway, and then he was gone, leaving her alone in the dim light as his footsteps faded into the darkness of the night.

Amber’s burgundy eyes flicked up from where they had been tracking the tip of her pen glide across paper. She blinked at the clock on the opposite wall, barely registering the position of the hour hand hitting the two as its faint ticking rang loudly through the silent stone building. She stared blankly at it, watching the seconds tick by one at a time.
She swallowed and sucked in a breath, closing her eyes and gripping her pen so tightly in her hand it almost hurt. After a moment, she was able to lower her gaze back to scan over her encoded notes. It was hardly something of genius, as she had purposefully made it easy to crack. It only made it difficult to read as it was English written with the Hecathian alphabet; gibberish to anyone not paying attention, and a wealth of information for anyone who was. Her intended codebreaker would only take seconds to realize what it was, and he would take up the mantel of her investigation.
She lowered the tip of the pen once more, her ears soothed by the scratching as she wrote faster, line by line, pushing back against the exhaustion and pain fighting to overtake her. She grit her teeth, bracing herself against the dark wood, ignoring how her breath hitched and hissed out through her teeth. In her chest, she could feel her heart fluttering, as though she were in the battle of her life. Her insides burned.
Pain was an old friend; it was only fitting that it would accompany her on what was likely her last living day. She had to admit: poisoning was the last way she saw him finally pinning her down, yet here she was. He always enjoyed the more violent deaths, but she supposed it would have been difficult to ambush her in a fortress. It was a shame she didn’t plan for this occasion.
She continued scribbling her thoughts, a crashing wave of nausea wracking her body as she hunched over further in her chair, leaving her face only inches from where ink still dried. She could feel her hands shaking, her pen strokes slipping as she covered more of the page. She had to finish soon. It wouldn’t be long before she wouldn’t be able to make the trip. One hand reached back to swoop her loose hair over one shoulder, her fingers brushing against her damp, sweaty skin.
Was it really him who would do this to her? She found herself thinking as she wrote her suspicions. Or is it the one I’ve been hunting? The whispers of someone sneaking past guards to leave the grounds had not slipped her notice. The ever-present fear that more would follow the ways of the Yakeillen traitors arose once again. But why target me? She paused, blinking as her eyes refused to focus. She shook her head clear, wincing at her effort of concentrating harder on the page.
Since she had begun her fight, she knew that she could easily be the next one to fall. Documenting everything she knew, her suspicions, and the events of the game of power around her, was all she had left after they had all refused to listen to her. She had thought she was ready after being surrounded by death and consumed by grief.
She had been wrong. Now facing death, she was more afraid than she had ever been. Not for herself though, as death held a promise of peace she had never known. She feared leaving Elaine alone in their cruel world. She feared no one would take the neurotic ramblings of a teenager any more seriously than they did her voice. Most of all, she feared who would stand up for those who no longer had voices, and how many more would be silenced before justice would be won.
The pen tumbled from her hand, smacking down onto the page with a thud that signaled her finality. She watched it roll off the edge, circling around to teeter on the edge of the desk before falling to the floor below. She sat for a moment, glassy eyes darting about the words scrawled before her.
Then she whirled out of her seat, snapping her journal closed and tucking it under her arm. Stumbling forward, she left her room. Her footsteps echoed off the stone walls, even as she carefully made it down the flight of stairs between her and the front door.
She exploded out into the night, her feet dragging as she trudged the path she knew by heart to her former home. Above her, the half-moon winked at her from between the branches, granting her company on her journey. Her legs shook from the effort of holding her up, her feet buckling to the side. Her shoulder slammed into a tree, saving her from falling, but sending a shockwave through her that released a soft cry from her lips.
She could see light ahead, dim, but streaming out through the familiar windows of the training room. She attempted to push one of her feet forward, still bracing her weight against the trunk. Her muscles screamed in protest, and another wave of pain sent a shock of electricity through her spine. She stared helplessly ahead, so close, yet too far.
She could feel her mind fogging over, darkness at the edge of her vision. She closed her eyes, concentrating what little consciousness she had left on the one person capable of hearing her. She knew where he was; there was only one person in that building crazy enough to be training in the dead of night.
She silently screamed for him to hear her as her breath grew more labored, her legs giving way to let her sink down onto the moist soil beneath her. It was ironic, she thought, for him to be her last hope. She could now only hope they would listen.

Ryan woke to frantic pounding on his door, powerful enough for the heavy wood to shake on its hinges. He bolted upright, blinking his blurred eyes out into the pitch darkness. Only a second passed by before the rattling began again, and now he had no doubt who was on the other side.
He pushed himself out into the room, his feet slapping against the wooden flooring as he rushed to silence the urgent demand. He threw open the door to see a surprisingly unharmed Jacob, his eyes wide with horror. He was wearing part of his armor, which was normal for one of his late-night visits, but the way he shifted on his feet set off alarm bells in Ryan’s sleep-addled brain.
“Come with me,” Jacob spat out, his piercing stare pleaded with him. “Now.”
“What do I need?” Ryan was now wide awake. Jacob had been training the new girl earlier; had things gone awry and she skewered herself?
Jacob’s eyes darted for a moment, his mouth opening with no sound before he landed on: “I don’t know.”
Ryan gestured for him to lead the way, following him into the common area in his nightwear, poised to follow the path to the training room. His eyes went wide when he continued forward instead, leading them out into the night and onto the forested path. They turned off the main route, to a narrower path to the right. They had only traveled a few meters before Jacob swooped down over a dark heap half-hidden by the undergrowth.
His heart contracted when he realized that heap was a person, and his breath just about left him completely when he saw her face. Amber was pale- too pale. Her arms were limp at her sides, legs bent before her while the rest of her body slumped listlessly against a tree. Chunks of her hair were caught on the rough texture of the trunk, leaving bits to hang down over her head. Her eyes were closed and her face slack. If it weren’t for her shallow breathing, Ryan would have assumed her to be dead.
She might be if he didn’t act quickly. He rushed to Jacob’s side, instantly taking her wrist to check her pulse. He could feel it fluttering rapidly under his fingers, her skin hot and clammy to the touch. “What happened to her?” He checked over her figure, looking for any external indication of what could be causing this. When he found none, he reached to pull back her eyelids, noting her wide-blown pupils blacking out her already dark eyes.
“I don’t know,” his companion’s voice was hardly a whisper, unable to take his eyes off of his sister’s still form. “She’s only been here for a few minutes. I heard her calling for me, but my connection cut off. She was like this when I found her.”
“We need to get her to the medical center,” Ryan glanced over at him. “There’s not much I can do out here without knowing what’s wrong.” He placed his hand on his friend’s arm to ground him back to reality. “She’s alive,” he told him once they made eye contact. “For now. I’m going to need your help to safely move her. Can you do that for me?”
Jacob gave a shaky nod and rose to his feet. It was then that Ryan noticed the small book lying untouched by Amber’s side. He lifted it, hardly glancing at it before tucking it into the pocket in his robe. If it was important, they might need it later. He then braced an arm under her knees, waiting for Jacob to adjust his grip under her arms to begin lifting. His other arm went to brace her hips, and together, they hoisted her up.
They set a pace to the main trail, careful of their footing. Moonlight lit their way, the sound of their breathing, and the rustle of long dead leaves from last fall under their feet filled the air, occasionally broken by the snap of a fallen twig. Ryan was still barefooted, internally wincing at the small rocks and sticks underfoot and the mud sticking to him as they went. He just grit his teeth and continued on, adjusting his grip on Amber as he walked, nearly sideways from his positioning.
Behind him, he knew Jacob was only half present, his eyes glazed over as he stared unseeing at the path ahead of them. His hold on his older sister was firm to keep her from falling, her head propped onto his shoulder. Ryan got the sense that he felt as though touching her was forbidden, as afraid for her as he was, he ensured that he looped his arms around her rather than using his hands at all. Mixed with his shock and worry were mannerisms of carrying a lit dynamite stick. If they were in any less a dire situation, Ryan might have had a laugh at his predicament of having to carry around the sister who wanted him dead.
Ryan breathed a sigh of relief when the large clearing came into view. It was still too early for anyone besides border guards to be about, meaning no prying eyes or potential run-ins with Jacob’s father.
His arms were beginning to ache under Amber’s weight; luckily, their quick pace would have them at the door to the medical facility within minutes. Without his hands freed, Ryan turned and slammed his shoulder onto the door to announce their presence. Seconds passed, long and silent, and Ryan could only look back at his friends with bated breath.
It was Danielle who opened the door, her gray eyes flying wide at the sight before her. The girl ushered them inside, directing them to the nearest cot in the otherwise empty center. They deposited her, rather haphazardly, down onto the flat surface, her head lolling back until Jacob reached to support her neck.
“I need a blood draw,” Ryan ordered as he reached behind the cot to attach their vital monitoring devices. “Check for any toxins that might be causing this.” He moved to adjust her position, elevating her head slightly as he checked it over for any impact he may have missed in the dark. He only found light scrapes beneath her hair, likely from the tree.
He grabbed the small flashlight on the side table next to him, once again checking her eyes. There was no response, even under the direct light. Ryan released a rushed breath, placing the light back as Danielle appeared beside him. He straightened Amber’s arm, feeling the jumping tremors in her otherwise still muscles as he held it tight for the needle to enter smoothly.
Her breathing was still shallow, but there was a tiny twitch in her cheeks as Danielle pulled the needle back. Ryan released a mental sigh of relief at the confirmation that she was not entirely unresponsive. To be safe, he hooked her up to oxygen. He rounded the cot, barely glancing at Jacob who still stood, arms hanging uselessly at his sides. “Hold her arm,” he directed him.
He scrambled into motion, his hands hovering over her arm for a split second before he replicated Ryan’s earlier grip on the opposite side. Jacob’s golden eyes sought his, asking silent questions that Ryan couldn’t begin to answer.
He slipped the IV into her vein, once again noting Amber’s flinch of discomfort, though there was still no sign of her regaining consciousness. Ryan stepped back, his lips pursed as he checked her over again, listening to the fast, but steady beeping of the heart monitor.
Jacob was still holding onto her, his face ashen and twisted with unconcealed despair. He slowly lowered himself down onto his knees at her side, bowing his head down to press against her hand. “Will she be okay?” His muffled voice was cracked but rang out steadily as his friend tried to keep his composure.
“I don’t know,” Ryan breathed out, watching him gently press his sister’s hand in his.
Jacob raised his head, his glassy eyes meeting his. “What do we do?”
“We wait.”
