It's been a long time coming, and the project is still underway, but I've reached a decent length of progress to introduce my ongoing fan project, my Cry of Fear fanfic series.

👉 We Fear the Cry of Monsters 👈 is my (admittedly shippy) continuation of the Cry of Fear good ending, mashed up with a little Afraid of Monsters! I've nurtured this concept for a few years through concept arts and now that it has a written body, it's gaining some traction on AO3 so I wanted to share it in another place where it can be seen by more fans who enjoy mystery, angst, and maybe a little conflicted romance along the way.

"In a season with record rainfall, Simon re-enters the world of therapies among indulgence to new treatments in the hopes of regaining control over his life, even in his lifetime hospital sentencing. Grey Anderson, a fellow inmate, Simon's childhood companion Sophie, and mentor Doctor Purnell all aid him in this journey. But reality gets dicy when a man from his past finds Simon's hospital room and climbs in through the window one night... It's a story of revisiting trauma, learning to trust, and holding faith in the worth of one's own life. Whatever the cost."

Please come have a look if you think you might be interested. I'm a huge fan of horror/psychological stories/symbolic macabre/beautifully dark and suspenseful material, and I draw most of my inspiration from dreams and music.

#tumblr polls #hrmm... a little poll perhaps.. about a subject I find interesting.. since this image came across my facebook today #still really not feeling that well. no longer shaking violently and such but I still feel weird and weak much more than usual #They did say my markers for like infection or inflammation were elevated but that they werent sure of the cause so hopefully #it's nothing too serious. they did also say a lot of different things can cause that thing to be higher than normal but didn't go into spec #fics of what. maybe some of them are relatively benign or something. I still havent felt much back to normal since #I got really sick that one time though. I feel fine on and off but then little bouts of feeling weird and sick happen. hrmmm #ANYWAY.. looking for small ways to be productive. such as little doodles on evil ipad or editing game videos #or posting polls or cat pictures or some other like not very labor intensive things #I WISH I COULD FOCUS on writing HHRGGhh... I need to finish my game.. it would be so freeing.. a project that's been looming #over my head for like 5 years even though througouht that 5yrs I've probably spent a total of 3 months working on it lo.. ANYWAY #I still partially really cannot beleive that people CAN see stuff in their heads. There's always part of me that's thinking like. well mayb #e everyone DOES see the same exact thing but we just describe/conceptualize it so differently that we think we're talking about #different things when we're really not. But I have been assured by people I've talked to about it that they can GENUINELY really see #stuff in their heads like as vivid as an actual picture in real life or something. And the other senses are neat too. Like for exmaple I #can hear in my head much better than I can see imagery. I still CANNOT hear vividly like as if I were listening to actual music out loud..#but I think it's developed more than my sight. AND interesting how this varies the creative process. a friend I was talking to on the phone #said they write by literally just watching stuff play before them like a movie. where my process is COMPLETELY different. AND that affects #the content/what details we focus on as well as our individual styles of writing have differences that can be traced back to that.. hrmm

I never realized how batshit insane it is that in order to get the Epsilon fragment, The Director tells Alpha that Wash died.......AND THEN THEY GO STICK EPSILON IN WASH'S HEAD

was trying to figure out why I feel so Wrong rn and I think it's because I didn't follow my usual daily routine like At All and now my brain is freaking out. woke up at a vastly different time, had entirely different tasks throughout the day, took a nap at a weird time (to make up for the fact I had about 3 hours of sleep last night), zero human contact for the past 15 hours, and ate different food from usual (various leftovers from social events/thanksgiving, instead of cooking for myself like normal). and before I really realized that these were all things that were Bad For My Brain I was just wandering around my house like "why do I feel like garbage?? I've literally been outside so much today my brain should be happy"

ANYWAY here's to me not remembering I have issues with unstructured living because my days have been so similar for the past 4ish years that I straight up Forgot that things being too different too fast makes me crazy ✌️

ITS BEEN REALLY COLD TODAY. AND I HAD TO BREAK INTO MY NEIGHBORS' HOUSE #(was not breaking in; I was trying to take care of their dogs since they're out of town)#(but their door code AND their garage door code weren't working #and I didn't have a physical key to use #so I had to push my way in through a back door that'd been blocked by a pile of boxes taller than my head #and squirm into their garage in order to get inside and take care of the dogs)#(was a very stressful way to spend my early waking hours)#i ALSO had to drive to the AIRPORT this morning which SUCKED. had to drop off family #which like I'm happy to help but also airports suck so much ass I hate them #anyway. today was sort of shitty #but mostly I only have myself to blame #did not structure my day well enough

it's so ironic that chronically ill people are stereotyped as lazy, because absolutely no one out there wants to do things more than those of us who've spent years languishing in bed. i've been feeling a little better the past few months and the only damn thing i want to do is cook and clean and be productive. being productive feels like a fucking drug, no matter how exhausted and sore it leaves me. even when i have to rest, i'm lying in bed dreaming of what i can accomplish next. fuck but i am desperate to do things.
