Regarding Stolas and Stella......... I would have so much more sympathy for people who like Stella if they didn't try to make Stolas the bad guy.

Cus like... YES they ARE both victims of a fucked up system.. But they are NOT equally bad people fuck off with that.

The difference between them is that Stolas tried to make the best of a hopeless situation while Stella decided to make him the scapegoat of her anger.. Is Stolas perfect? No, no one said he was, but in WHAT WORLD does his actions justify being abused??? I will NEVER agree with you on that.

I BET Stella has a lot of grievances about Stolas specifically. Even before the cheating. Especially because he was "weak".. But that doesn't mean that their situation is HIS fault. It doesn't mean that he deserves the way she treats him...

I'm all for wanting more from Stella as a character. I'm all for finding out more about her motives and I'd love to find out why she's the way she is.. But that won't make her actions better, it just won't. So stop it.

Watching people argue about whether Astarion is actually pan or if he's supposed to be gay but "takes what he can get" when it comes to attraction to women and I present to you: the aforementioned guy I dated for a while that passed easily as a woman and chose to do so often but still identified as male, who liked to perch in my lap and bat his eyelashes, who was an experienced Dom top, who was so camp there was absolutely no question about his experience in gay male spaces.

Who was also pansexual.

I saw someone say something like you can find hundreds of guys like Astarion on grindr and also you'll never guess where I met this dude.

Things to be aware of with this manga:

This is a short manga of six chapters. It doesn't cover even the entire childhood arc, let alone the whole novel.

Some lines are taken directly from the novel, while others were similar but not identical, and others were changed to fit manga style dialogue bubbles.

Not everything in the manga is 1:1 with the novel, but it's all pretty close.

About a year later, on the Internet, I come across a transwoman who added a unique message to the crowd refuting this professor. Oh, I wish I remember who this woman was, and I wish even more that I could do better than paraphrase her, but I remember her saying something like this: “Well, of course I feel sexy putting on women’s clothing and having a woman’s body. If you feel comfortable in your body for the first time, won’t that probably mean it’ll be the first time you feel comfortable, too, with delighting in your body as a sexual thing?”'
