The Every Day Action Recycle-Ball was amazing! Such an amazing, successful night of fundraising for an absolutely deserving organization!! The food was great, the venue was beautiful, the company was magical! And it was all for a wonderful cause!!

Oh boy, that was fun!! I have a good few ideas for Mayuri getting ready in the mornings fics now. Wild trip that was.

Making Ashisogi Jizou and the ear pieces took me back to childhood. I tried to do pharaoh hat but gave up mid way because it looked awful. I will do a better job if I ever feel brave enough to go to comicon dressed like this 🤣

Don't get me started on partner and his socks, because I cannot.

Paint was soooo much fun to apply, although there are white smudges all over my house now... I need Mayuri's proprietary recipe for a paint that doesn't melt when you touch things.

I have a video of the whole process, which took me about half an hour, I might post it once I edit it.

Also, the freedom of knowing nobody can see you blush was amazing, helps with social anxiety a lot.

On the subject of Ashisogi Jizo, several notes:

1. You can't sit on a normal chair without having AJ's hilt poking you in the throat or stabbing yourself on the little spikes.

2. Walking is surprisingly comfortable, but do not attempt to run. DO. NOT.

3. Pommel is very handy to rest your arms on.

4. Everyone referred to it as 'my penis' for the entire night. Ie. 'don't point you penis at me.' and 'will you take your penis off so you can sit normally!' It is now my HC that that's how everyone refers to AJ in SS behind Mayuri's back.

Having Urahara in my kitchen was sureal. Also his hat fit me perfectly, coincidence? I think not.

Why do I look shorter than Toshiro here? Not sure, I swear I am tall...ish. I just wanted to show you the back cos I had to paint it, and it came out not bad!

Had to drink water via trans straws not to mess up my lipstick (I swear it's water, I don't drink alcohol. Also, I'm pretty sure that amount of vodka or whatever clear alcohol would be incompatible with my life) .

And, last but not least, convo between my mum and my partner because her answers made me laugh.

Thinking about Seth and his glasses

What's everyone thinking? Are the glasses just a costume piece? Does Essek actually need them?

At first I assumed the former, but all of a sudden I'm compelled by the later. Essek Thelyss, who spent the vast majority of his life under the enchanted skies of Rosohna, now on the run and faced with the sun every day. I know Matt hasn't made a big point of the drow's sunlight sensitivity in Exandria but damn. Picturing an Essek who's spent the past several years squinting against the sun even under his favorite gifted parasol as he runs around all of Exandria.

I can definitely see a world where Essek legitimately needs those glasses
