That's a really cute idea! (I also really love the "Dadow" tag, Shadow's the ultimate dadform xD). I feel there could definitely be a timeline/universe where that happens (if Shadow isn't sealed away by the humans), Shadow being immortal and all.

Doodle of a headcanon, people usually say Silver is Shadow's or Sonic's descendant, but personally I think he was created as a way to deal with Iblis. I think one of Eggman's descendants would have been the likely one to do it. I go more into it in my personal 06 rewrite, that I might work more on at some point, but in it both Silver and Blaze's powers are connected to Solaris, which is why Silver can travel through time and despite changing the past still continues to exist.

Not final designs yet, but a work in process, feedback is welcome. While most of the Shadow the hedgehog rewrite bosses get destroyed by Shadow (the 3 new black arm generals, Black root, Black gale and black wyrm) or are existing characters, I am playing with the idea to make two of the new bosses stick around after the game story. Sonic has reoccurring rivals/villains, so why shouldn't shadow?

The Gold shadow android in boss battle still looks a lot like shadow, but being the one android with more advanced AI out of the latest line it would eventually wish to change its looks a bit after the game.

The purple colour in its design changes depending on the kind of chaos drive or emerald it absorbs. Its power is limited to the amount of fuel it has, so chaos drives is just a matter of outlasting it, but if it has a chaos emerald it can go much longer.

I actually have and idea for how a story re-introducing him would go, involving Omega ofc because I love him, but I'm holding off saying more a little longer because I'm still working some stuff out. His current working name is BOLT Black arms artificial chaos I want to reintroduce him in a story where Shadow returns to the ARK to deal with a gun team going missing there, it's up to Shadow to stop it. I don't really have a name for it. Black doom dying left this guy with a feeling of loss of direction now that it actually is in control of its own actions and not controlled by pure programming or an evil alien overlord, making him return back to the default of guarding the ARK for now- but it's also now a more advanced creature than it was before. In principle the artificial chaos were a weapon against forces such as the black arms, so being both is definitely a confusing time for it. Only Shadow and the other Artificial chaos would be able to communicate with it, but maybe Tails can figure something out- if Shadow asks him for help and it's Shadow, soooooo, they might be in trouble.

Doodle of these kiddos, I have many headcanons about their connection and their connection to Solaris, I like to dabble on it sometimes.

This is based on a scene from the 06 rewrite, where Blaze recalls befriending Silver. While everyone was afraid of Blaze because of her flames which led to her isolating herself, despite her going out of her way to combat Iblis and save people, Silver continued to seek her out in order to befriend her. Being together allowed both of them better control of their powers, though they never understood why. (p.s. They have a strong bond, but that can be seen as either Platonic, sibling like or romantically, I usually avoid saying it's one thing or the other in writing for Sonic, like in the games, leave it open to the player.)

Coloured an older AU sketch, when I did a lot of the redesigning for my AU I was really into the sonic movie style so that's why all the eyes are separated in these older sketches xD

This AU was meant to explore my personal headcanon that Sonic is one of the "miracles" created by the 7 chaos emeralds to serve as a guardian. The AU was meant as a SA3, that connected all the lore from the games (+ a little from the movies etc.) prior to forces (which I have still not played xD) with each other into one final story. The character you see here is Zephyr, Shadow and Sonic in this drawing are seeing a vision of the past, because long story short Zephyr and Sonic are sort of the same entity in a long convoluted way, so they don't exist at the same time. Zephyr's design is based on the mural from angel island and Sonic, Shadow & Silver. Zephyr is very chaotic, not necessarily a force of "good", his fur becomes a lighter and a darker colour depending on his emotional state. Zephyr's chaos energy takes the form of wind and lightning. He usually wears a red long skirt around his middle and 2 long white ribbons around his upper arms, but I didn't draw those here. Zephyr is NOT on good therms with the black arms, Black doom found it very ironic and took satisfaction in how Gerald based Shadow on his old foe, seeing as Shadow was gonna help him do what Zephyr and the other chaos guardians prevented. Black doom also absolutely had a heart attack when he first saw Sonic. On the flip side, if Zephyr had met Shadow, it is very likely he would have treated Shadow as a case of: kill on sight.

You can view Zephyr as similar to chaos 0, this AU also had a Solaris 0, which actually became something I used for the 06 rewrite I also did later, Solaris having been a guardian of the sol emeralds, more on that eventually.

So I had an idea, for a sonic AU: Black Arms infused Maria.

She still gets shot and sends Shadow to earth, but this time she just doesn't stay dead due to the Black Arm cells (from Shadow's blood) she's been infused with by her grandfather. Gerald did this in a last attempt to cure her as he feared GUN would soon come for him and his research- he was right of course... The cells mass multiplying to save the host have changed her body, slowed her aging significantly. Spending a large part of the last 50 years hiding away from GUN after escaping their facility thanks to the commander (once he reached a high enough rank to even discover she was there), she doesn't really look as kindly upon humanity any more. Even though the commander claims Shadow was never found ( and likely dead) she is is searching for him endlessly, becoming very science savvy in the process and gaining full control over her grandfather's creation, the artificial chaos.

She can sense Shadow is alive, the black arm part of her sharing a connection with him. However, this connection also extends to Black doom and when he returns to earth he becomes aware of her. Unlike Shadow this human "child" is far more susceptible to his mind control and influence. Shadow in turn might not fully remember everything, but he feels a strong bond with Maria, in more ways than just his lost memories could explain which confuses him. Since she's on the side of the Black Arms, going against them will become a lot harder for him. Hopefully Sonic and/or Rogue manage to get through to him, or earth will have an issue. Outside of Black Doom messing with her head her goal is to live with shadow on the ARK, away from the humans that could hurt either of them. Black doom offering a way for them to be able to live on earth itself without the threat of humanity coming after them (after all of humanity have become part of them- he meant as food, Maria thought he meant like she was, infused with their essence) did plant some ideas in her head however, even after their defeat, maybe she'd take a page out of Eggman's book and want Marialand, using her grandfather's memory altering tech to create a way to keep people in line.

ShtH rewrite new boss concept, black arms corrupted artificial chaos. This new boss is found on the ark, at the end of the mission that involves a certain Croc and a computer room. Being a late game boss fight it has multiple phases/forms, this here is only the base form.

Seeing as Black doom claims that the artificial chaos are part of Gerald's legacy and like Shadow belong to them I figured he might try to "improve" upon them by making them part of the black arms.

I mentioned Rouge in yesterday's doodle, I did this paint/redraw of a sonic X screenshot but semi-movie version forever ago. I still really like it though! Original screenshot below.

A doodle of them, I'm really curious how the story will be handled in the 3rd movie, all I can hope is that it's gonna be more like the sa2/heroes/shth shadow and not the idw/forces shadow, but we'll have to see. (I also hope Shadow, Stone and Rouge interaction will be as great as I'm imagining.)

Sonic prime s1 part 3 (s3), sonic superstars and sonic frontiers final update? I'm so excited for free time! I still don't know if I should get superstars on switch or pc though, my pc is so temperamental atm, the toasty kind.

I've been putting off playing frontiers until this final update came out, it's been so hard to resist!

That looks really amazing! I love it.

I want to work on my Sonic AUs in the future again too, this was an Amy redesign for one of the fangame concepts I made, mixing elements from her classic and modern design, ofc with the back quills

I especially liked the gameplay concepts regarding her hammer, powered by chaos drives that gave it various abilities, like using it for a power swing combo, ground shockwave, a charged bounce to go extra high etc.
