#I'm rereading the manga and I'm dying all over again

So I've been rereading skip beat from the beginning for the first time in uhhhhh almost 10 years and I'm going inSaNE over characterizations and development that I have to write it down

At this point I'm only at the Heel siblings arc so I haven't gotten to the Guam or Saena arcs which are very big for Kyoko and Ren's character development and healing which I haven't reread since those chapters came out

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Nakamura for basing Kyoko and Ren's childhood struggles and trauma on very real things that aren't often, if at all, dealt with in anime/manga and also writing them with utmost care (Not only do the traumas inform their personalities, but their healing arcs aren't just a one and done thing!! It's a very slow process) Like starting with Kyoko, her single mother neglected her so much that she was raised by a family friend. On top of that, nothing Kyoko did was ever good enough for her mother, and both of these things are so apparent in Kyoko's character. She attaches herself to fairytales and magic as an escapism and because she relates to stories like Cinderella. She literally cannot function if she messes up and no one criticizes her. She can't properly acknowledge her own talents and beauty without it being attached somehow to fairytales; she never quite believes shes good enough. Similarly, she didn't want to bother anyone with her troubles, so she always dealt with them alone/in private spaces. Pretty sure she also has lowkey abandonment issues. And this is all parental trauma!! Things she already has before the series starts and she gets so utterly heartbroken she swears off romantic love entirely so she can never get hurt the same way again.

(I don't think I'll ever get over how Kyoko told all this to Kuu and he was literally like I'm adopting you. Your mine now. Sorry I don't make the rules ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And Kuu going home to his wife like hey we got a new kid 😂 Like Kyoko freezing up when she made mistakes and then Kuu showing her love instead of reprimanding her makes me go 🥹😩💖✨😭💝 Kyoko getting all fluffy from head pats🥹🥹 But on the downside she literally can't bring herself to call him dad unless she's in acting mode sjdfhsf)

When I really consider it, I wonder if Kyoko really loved Sho as a person or like.... the idea of him. Like he was just a convenient guy via proximity bc Kyoko needed someone to be her "prince". We haven't been shown exactly why she fell in love, but it would explain why she stuck with dedicating herself to him despite his terrible personality and knowing he never saw her the same way. It's portrayed like the concept of hatsukoi in anime where its ✨pure✨and innocent✨It seems very idealistic. Whereas Kyoko's love for Ren is more mature. She sees every aspect of Ren and doesn't sugarcoat it, she sees him as he is (she does him up on a pedestal but partially bc she admires him but also as an extreme measure to protect her heart and hide her feelings imo)

And REN. trauma to the max. He had to deal with the hardships of making a name for himself when his parents are already famous, extreme racism from being biracial, his friend/mentor dying from an accident he unintentionally caused???? Like boy hates himself so much he's literally disassociating 24/7 he needs a fucking therapist. I get how being Ren has helped him in some capacity but he needs a professional asap. Though deep diving into this is so interesting because Ren/Kuon compartmentalized his issues and the parts that he hates about himself so much he created its own persona ("Dark Kuon"), to the point he's rarely ever just himself. And he buried it so deep that as soon as he cracked the lid open, those emotions just spilled out. He can't even allow himself to be happy, and when he does feel truly happy, his automatic response is acting nonchalant,,,,,,,,,,,, he didn't even realize he was doing it at first 😢

Also the symbolism with Ren's watch makes me go a little feral. I don't remember if it's originally his or Rick's but it obviously stopped when the latter died and Ren keeps it as a reminder of what happened and why he went to Japan. It's a weird item since it grounds him but also represents his heavy trauma, and I think having those two things in one kinda showcases Ren's unhealthy coping mechanisms (like grounding himself to something traumatic isn't... great...). But that scene where he realizes he took it off and he has a moment of whether it to keep it on as Cain Heel or not??? *clenches fist* it was so good. (To recap it, he had his watch so he wouldn't lose himself in the role of BJ and then forgot it in the bathroom after an unexpected trauma response) Ren narrates his thoughts as choosing between Rick or Kyoko but interpreting this, he's choosing whether to keep himself stuck in his past trauma or move forward and let himself be happy AKA stick with unhealthy coping mechanisms vs try something healthy and rely on people he trusts. Kyoko essentially becomes someone Ren grounds himself to 🥺 He still needs therapy though lmao. He's so mentally unstable in this arc,,,

As I'm writing this I'm seeing a parallel between Kyoko and Ren and how they both had an experience that completely and utterly broke them, and it was this that pushed them onto their current paths in showbiz. And they likely would never have met each other again if those things never happened (they had to lose themselves to find each other?? 😭). It's so funny to me that Ren is all like ThEiR fAtEs ArE iNtErTwInEd with Kyoko and Sho when you have to consider the fact that him and Kyoko meeting again was like. a chance in a billion. It was fate 😂

KyoRen is such a poetic ship to me. The fact that they're different people when they meet and don't recognize the other. How Ren starts falling in love AS SOON AS HE REALIZES KYOKO IS THE SAME GIRL HE MET (Ren being gray/demiromantic.... more at 5). Kyoko lowkey starting to crush on Ren when she witnesses a bit of his real personality. These two things happening around the same time??????? And Ren being SO afraid of being Kuon, his true self, because of his bad qualities, but Kyoko pulling out the good qualities without him fully realizing it?? (I'm 100% referring to Kuon being a mischievous little shit and I live for how he teases Kyoko) tbh they treat each other differently from other people without even realizing it lol. And Kyoko being surrounded by toxic and possessive men pursuing her, and Ren being anything BUT. Like my man is a gigantic green flag. He recognizes that he can't seriously pursue Kyoko bc she's a minor and he really tries his best to only be a friend and mentor in her life and keeping her trust and never crossing her boundaries despite the stereotypes of men being "unable to control themselves." Y'all take point this should be the standard at minimum☝️

I have to talk about Sho bc this boy is so fucking toxic but he makes such a fascinating character. As much as I hate how Kyoko got heartbroken in the way she did, I think it was necessary so that she could leave Sho's sorry ass and cut him out of her life. Seriously,,,, he took advantage of her and used her as a servant. she literally dropped out of school, moved to a different city, and took on two jobs for the sole purpose of helping his career and then he threw her away like a used rag (JUST THROW THE WHOLE MAN AWAY). And then he has the audacity to fall in love with her smh. Anyway the fascinating part about him to analyze is how he's so possessive of Kyoko. Like she was a mere fly in his life, but she was always his. Until she wasn't. And I think those twisted thoughts kinda morphed into feelings for Kyoko. Ig in a way he still cares about her, but it could never hide how toxic he is. Anyone who's like I don't care how this person thinks of me as long as I take up the biggest space in their heart is egotistical and narcissistic. BUT he and Kyoko bickering like siblings will always be funny. Like epitome of two people who've lived with each other for way too long so they know how the other ticks and also get on each other's nerves 😂😂Sho does makes a good foil for Ren though. Like he's basically everything Ren is not: immature, temperamental, possessive, vain, the list goes on. His only redeeming qualities as a character is providing good drama and humor and being an example of what Ren isn't.

Skip Beat is really a story about healing and learning to love yourself and letting others love you and Nakamura is such a good story teller 🥺

You didn't really answer my qustion though. What can you name that should be edited out? For example: which warlord do you cut out? Which arc they brought do you feel is unneeded and should be taken out? I promise I'm not being mean or snarky, it's just I've heard the 'too many randoms' all over, but nobody can actualy point to an actual character they find should be cut out so it kinda sound like 'just make it better'. And unless wiki is wrong, Tama is Koruzumi, not Kozumi - the fact you mixed it up kinda shows it didn't really matter, though I would argue it is important from narrative perspective of showing Koruzumi were not 'evil by blood' despite all names one being villains. Also: Zoro's lineage was also released trough SBS and I don't see people break up about it? Again, I'm just honestly curious about what you think.

my point is not invalidated because I misremembered a name, and Zoro’s lineage is another thing that either should have been in the manga or not been a thing at all. If Oda wasn’t going to do anything with it, he should have kept the connection between he and Wano be through Kuina. The Zoro lookalike characters during Yamato’s flashback only set up expectation in the audience that wasn’t followed through with. I understand that Zoro doesn’t give a fuck, but if that’s the case then don’t make it a thing in the first place.

But to answer your question let’s look just at Wano. The Nine Scabbards should have been reduced down to a more reasonable number. I love them both dearly, but you could easily combine Dogstorm and Cat Viper into one character. Raizo doesn’t do much after Zou, so replace him there with someone else—I’d say Izo, since that’s the character who could have used some time with the main cast to make their ridiculous death more impactful. You could say after Marineford they were trying to get back to Wano and stumbled upon Momo and the rest while traveling. Shinobu can handle being the main ninja character, and no Raizo means you don’t have to have earlobe guy so now there’s no meaningless 25 chapter fight.

With Izo reintroduced thusly, there’s no reason for Marco to show up at all. In fact, he has a built-in reason for not showing up by protecting Whitebeard’s homeland. This will require some rewriting of the arc, but imo he ended up taking away too much valuable hype from more important characters to really justify his presence, so get him out of there.

It was clear Oda was having a hard time finding a purpose for Drake, and Hawkins, and Apoo. Of those three, you could easily get rid of Apoo and not lose anything. Have a quick flashback of him dying epically in the Kidd Pirate Alliance battle against Kaido. It would have been a better showing than he gave in the arc itself.

And that’s just off the top of my head. I haven’t done any rereading of Wano since that chapters were released. If someone went over the arc more carefully there would be more (like, does Carrot really need to be there? Do any of the other Zou characters?) I really think you could get the Scabbards down to 5 characters if you tried, but I’d have to figure out how that would fit with the rest of the story.

My problem with One Piece isn’t the number of arcs, it’s that the arcs themselves are too long. Enies Lobby was epic in scale and had a lot of different factions to account for, but it didn’t take three years to get through. Theres going to be some ballooning in size as the crew has gotten bigger, but even that could be worked around. Have more tag team fights like on Thriller Bark, for example, so the enemy crews don’t have to have so many people. Reduce the roll of side characters and give their feats to the Straw Hats who haven’t gotten enough love after the time skip. There’s lots of things Oda could have done, but he hasn’t.

... now this, took a minute to answer in some ways. There a lot of ships I like, so this was really easy and hard to answer at the same time. Some ships it was an immediate yep yep and others I had to go '... but is it a fav of all time, though?" But I think I got it narrowed down.

So here we go, fav ships of all time from any media, no particular order. I didn't get any specific no. to do so I'll just list a handful until I can't think of any others. (Anyone who comes across this that sees a ship on here you don't like and feels the need to say something about it, stay in your lane this ain't about your opinions it's about mine.)

The main FMA ships

Arakawa Hiromu, nigga, you cooked. Imma just put the FMA ships as one and leave it there because if I do it separately, we'll be here all day. But if you wanna see me diving into why I like these ships in a manic ramble, here's a post I made on that here. The romance in FMA is literally a category and a discussion all on its own that I can go about on for hours. FMA has the best romances in shounen so anyone who has consumed FMA will know what I'm talking about. Like, whenever anyone tries to use a manga being 'shounen' to justify shitty romantic writing, I point at FMA's brilliant riding. An animanga's demographic is not an excuse for terrible executions in romance. EdWin, RoyAi, LingFan, AlMei and all the side ships drank and left no molecules.

NaruSaku

Toxic shippers, again, stay in your lane, I don't feel like dealing with y'all any day. I have been shipping this shit for years, always have, always will. Ignore the fact I ship Sakura with literally everyone from the Akatsuki to Hinata to Sai to Shikamaru. (Y'all I used to look up Kisame/Sakura fics, unironically TAT). (Same for Naruto honestly, I've shipped him with Sasuke, Ino, Temari, Tenten, the list goes on and on.) The way Sakura goes from finding Naruto annoying to almost dying multiple times to keep him safe, I will never EVER be over that. Naruto's love going from puppy to something as passionately red as the thread of fate itself. The MinaKushi parallels. I have a lot (and I mean a lot) of ships in Naruto pertaining to these two, but NaruSaku is my absolute favorite. Like it was literally confirmed that Sakura got over Sasuke and then it got retconned for some bullshit. Saying it with my whole chest, argue with a wall, it should have been them. I won't dog any other ships, but yeah, it should have been them. 699 chapters of Naruto being in love with one woman, I sing the praises everyday.

SakuHina

Hinata's prince charming is literally Sakura. I have a whole ass fic I am slowly, painstakingly writing about what Naruto would have been like if Hinata had a crush on Sakura the whole time. I just think they're really cute together, have amazing chemistry and balance each other out. I didn't expect to like SakuHina as much as I did but here we are.

Kyoru

I mentioned it before in another answered ask but Fruits Basket was my first manga (if you're curious what my first anime was, it was Yu Yu Hakusho) and Kyoru was probably my first OTP. There are two characters I think upon so many rewatches and rereads that were prime game for who Kyo and Tohru could have ended up with had things been different (which, I do really ship as well. Multishipper here guys) but I'm not mad about the endgames that we got. From start to finish, Kyo and Tohru's relationship is beautiful and you can feel how strongly they feel for one another. It's like, wow, Takaya really gave us one of the best ships in shoujo and didn't even apologize for it.

Klance

Red + Blue = True. They had chemistry, supplemented for what the other lacked and we really don't need to have me diving into the bs that was VLD. That show wasn't even out long, my god, it was a mess.

NeuviFuri

Should I explain to you the romanticism of Hydro x Hydro? Oof how I love them. A Genshin ship after my own heart, truly. But if anyone is trying to against MiHoyoverse (I was here from the Mihoyo days, leave me alone) in terms of seeing who ships NeuviFuri more, we all lose. They literally paid people to do an ice dancing program in NeuviFuri cosplay, paid a guy to make a companion piece to Furina's song from Neuvillette's perspective and several other animations concerning their relationship in some way. But the Mihoyoverse shenanigans aside, it's the build up of 400+ years of working together, the care they still have for one another and yes the complementary abilities and color palettes. Not enough time in the day to talk about them, I don't think.

Almost thought I wouldn't have a gif for them, then I remembered THEY GOT A MOVIE. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is one of my favorite books in the world. I have reread it once a year religiously since 2017 when I first discovered it. This is such a beautiful novel and relationship and if you haven't had the pleasure of reading it or the sequel, please do yourself a favor and buy it or rent it from your local library. It's just, the way Ari has been in love with Dante for so long and didn't even realize it but it's so, so clear to the reader because of just how he talks and describes him? I don't even want to go to deep into this one just in case there's someone here that hasn't read this book because it deserves to be read and experienced blind. Just, just please y'all read it.

favorite series of all time: fullmetal alchemist

brotherhood, if we’re talking anime, but the manga is still the superior version no matter what. best art, best story, best characters, best fight scenes, best EVERYTHING: the pinnacle of what shonen should be. fma made me want to pursue visual storytelling and quite honestly changed the course of my life. could talk about it forever. cannot recommend it enough. riza hawkeye best character forever and ever.

second favorite series ever: ouran highschool host club

once again, the anime is decent but the manga is where it’s at. ohshc subverts classic shojo tropes while also playing into them and i love love love it for that. i recently reread it and was delighted to find that it still holds up for the most part. makes me scream with laughter and i cannot choose a favorite character (mouri best host tho). it was also just super ahead of its time. hilarious while also being heartfelt and genuine. greatest love confession scene in the history of the world.

maomao MAKES👏THIS👏SERIES, i love her SO MUCH. this series has taken over my life. i watched the anime over and over and when i got tired of that, i read the manga over and over, and when i ran out of that, i began READING THE LIGHT NOVELS which i NEVER DO. i read nearly all of the light novels over the course of a week while i was super sick and coughing my lungs inside out, but it was a good time. i still actively read the english translations of the light novel chapters they come out and it honestly makes me week every time. also gaoshun is my favorite character and i would marry him SO fast.

if i had to describe this series in one word, it would be nostalgia. that may be because it was the second series i ever read as a kid, but it also just FEELS like blurry summer days and childhood friends you’ve nearly forgotten about. also manga natsume is way more fine that anime natsume. i can’t believe they changed his hair color >:(

detective conan

…or “case closed” as they call it in the united states. i have a lot of contempt for series that drag on for forever in the sake of making money but lemme tell you, early conan was GOOD. it was gory and dark and sometimes kinda scary but it was also a little goofy and cheesy. throwback to the early volumes when conan rode a large dog to rescue a kidnapped girl and also held the hand of a dying woman covered in blood as he told her his true name. you don’t get stuff like that anymore because the show’s demographic is getting younger. but i miss the days when people were getting decapitated via roller coaster. i stick with it for sentimental reasons because i’ve watched/read it since i was a tween. i also own the first 80 volumes of the english manga and named my cat Osaka aftwd heiji hattori. also kaito kid sucks and i hate him.

ANYWAY, i have a LOT of anime/manga opinions but i don’t feel like getting into them rn. here is but a taste of them.

also, the first series i ever saw was called “hikaru no go” and i just think it’s funny that i’ve never met another soul who has heard of it and yet my childhood library in the middle of nowhere had the entire series. i think i own two of the volumes because i lost them, paid a fine, and then found them again. good time.

Re: Chapter 29 of The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins: Seven sins, seven family members omg! I didn't see it coming even though it was kind of there in plain sight.

What happened to Sota must be key to understanding the car accident. My theory is that he died around 2 years before the accident. The manga keeps flashing back to a point 2 years in the past and I think this is around the time that Tsubasa suddenly stopped playing football and started withdrawing from Nakajima. I would have to reread some earlier chapters but I did get the sense that in some of the >>2 year pre-accident flashbacks that there was another person who was purposely not shown (Sota) but not in the ~2-years pre-accident flashbacks. Other flashbacks to this time period always show everyone being miserable: it lines up with Minako finding out about Kakeru's affair, and I think also shows Shiori withdrawn and glued to her phone. There's also a moment when Tsubasa asks if they can visit the planetarium next year and Minako snaps "there's no way we can go", which I initially attributed to the affair fallout, but it also makes sense if she didn't want to revisit a place the family went with (recently deceased) Sota. Sota dying around that time might also explain why Shiori started seeking out older men, perhaps trying to find something of her older brother in that guy.

I think all the photos in the album were taken by Sota, which means that Sota has been to Fukui too. Now maybe (and this is a bit of a reach) that trip was 2 years before the accident and that's when/where he died and this caused the rest of the family fall to pieces. As Tsubasa's flashbacks to the (2nd) trip to Fukui (car accident) include everyone getting drugged from the drinks brought by Kakeru/drugged by Minako, and Minako said "[Tsubasa] will never need to listen to [her] ever again" .. I think that the car accident Fukui trip was intended as a group suicide caused by the family's 2-year festering pain over Sota's death. That's why Tsubasa learning the truth behind the car accident will change everything.

But that seems waaaay too dark for a WSJ manga so idk! Maybe all the focus on stuff going wrong 2 years before the accident has nothing to do with Sota and he was there during the car accident, (maybe died during that accident). This manga already showed many times that things aren't always as they seem so maybe I'm completely wrong here and the truth is much less dark.

Oh mygod okay hi there so i messaged you yesterday about how I found your story Friday night and I finished reading the rest of ch5 thru 8 last night and today! And!!!!! caramel dynamite supernova by deadwriter16 is fluffy and adorable. We love izuku "kacchan's amazing" Midoriya in this house (￣∇￣) they're so whipped and in love with eachother GOD.

The Night We Met by majjale ripped my heart out and tried to put it back in the place (emphasis on tried). It's so heartbreaking to see izuku dying over and over again and katsuki can't do anything about it. I actually didn't understand the ending at first but everything became clear once I read the sequel.

Our Way Out by Ana_Writes is one of my first fics that I've read on ao3. Anas' writing style is very unique. I remember being in awe when I first read it. Also ponytail katsuki is superior!!

colors of a ghost by ladyofsnails was my first ghost deku story. I remember reading it when there was storm outside (which gave it more creepy & scary vibe???).

So Much Worse Than A Phantom Limb by s_the_queen is incredible. Swags' ooc ochako is the only ooc ochako I'll accept. I love how supportive mina, kirishima, kaminari, jirou, asui and ALMOST whole class were. Also bakumomo friendship y'all!

I feel like A Split Second by jesskrt is kinda like origin to Spideydeku. It's inspired by that scene in spiderman where that girl fell off the building & Peter tries to save her but couldn't.

As soon as I saw the summary of Lubēre, Libēre by empressvika I knew it would hurt. So of course I read it. I like how in this fic deku is the one who's struggling to identify his feelings and not katsuki. Because I feel like that's canon in the manga.

wrinkled oranges, pigeons, and other sweet things to call your significant other by sapphicflower is that bittersweet fic that makes me feel mix of different kind of emotions. Old bkdk makes me feel so sad? And happy??? At the same time😭 I feel happy because they did grow old together but at the same time it's sad but not in the bad way. Like when you realize that your sibling grow up and you feel nostalgic kind of way.

The Tale of the Red-Eyed Demon by Seeress is one of my first bkdk fics I've read. And it's amazing. Honestly anything by Seeress is a piece of art. I would recommend all of their fics.

How to Train Your Useless Dragon by Mikacrispy is the fic I never knew I needed. As you can guess its inspired by How To Train Your Dragon. I love how author combined HTTYD and MHA universes together. Definitely worth reading.

I got many new ideas and theories when I was rereading the manga so ima just drop them all here. It’s about the Immortals, the Demon Kings and the possible roles that everyone could have in the war arc.

I will warn you that this analysis/theory is even longer than the last one, so just so you know jaja.

(I had posted this before as a reblog when I realized it looked so ugly and that it diverted the attention from the new information I wanted to share, so I deleted the old reblog thingy and posted it again as its own post. I'm still learning how tumblr works and I realized with this thing that I like my posts to each be their own thing).

I said that I didn’t want Mephisto’s Devil *star* Punisher to be the one that killed Satan but I will have to retract from that statement just a bit. I don’t want it to be the only thing that kills him, but I want it to be the last shot they have to fire in order to defeat him.

Just like Nauhaus explained:

The Devil *star* Punisher is a demon ego obliviator, meaning that when they shoot Satan with it, it will cause him to forget his own ego, to revert to the baby version of him that Yuri faced when she was a kid and back in the laboratory in the very beginning before he learned everything he could.

This is great, since now he can’t harm anyone this way; and here can come Mephisto and maybe Shemihaza (Shiemi), and seal him in a special capsule thingy that freezes time and space within it, letting him alive but not being able to move, grow, have contact or develop in any way (I made up this last part, I have no idea what Mephisto plans to do after they shoot him with that thing).

Anyways, is just to not let him go around posessing other people and causing mass destruction and death, or another Blue Night.

This is the best alternative they have, but for doing that they need to lower his defenses and expose his heart first. (How do I know this? Magic ._.).

2. Which is where I come again with my Immortal theory thingy: we have fire (Karura-Ryuuji), water (Hachirotaro-Yukio/Shura), and earth (Uroboros-Shiemi??).

I have given it a bit more thought and if we are already have three of the four elements in the mix (fire, water and earth), why not throw the fourth element (air), to have the avatar in there?? To make things more balanced??

Now, you may think, “but Lily, we barely know how Uroboros looks like and who will use him, from where are we going to get the air demon and its master???”

Well, that’s pretty simple, we have them right here:

According to Homare, they are the highest level demon kin of Azazel, king of Spirits.

Yukio and Lewin are the ones that have a contract with them, unofficial and official contracts respectively; and when it comes to the requirements for them to be Immortals, it mostly depends on having this cycle of death and rebirth. I went to good ol’ trusting wikipedia to look up some info on them, and found this:

Indra is associated with the sky, lightning, weather, thunder, storms, rains, river flows and war. He rules over the much-sought Devas realm of rebirth within the Samsara doctrine of Buddhist traditions. (Another connection to Ryuuji there). (Samsara is the beginningles cycle of repeated birth, mundane existence and dying again).

Vayu is the god of air, wind and breath of life. On the east asian Buddhism he presides over the northwest direction.

Now, who is Vayu and who is Indra in the manga panel? I’m guessing that the one from the right is Indra (the one flying on lightning) and the one on the left is Vayu (the one flying on clouds), but who knows, I’m basing my theories out of some panels I found on ch. 122, and the info I wrote here, so maybe you can make something more out of it.

Ok so, they are two high level demons that seem to come in pairs, have elemental affinities to wind, rain and lightning, and are in some way related to the aspect of death and rebirth.

Now, who is the other exorcist that has dual demons with elemental qualities that relate to air, spirit and light..?

Izumo.

Izumo controlling these two would be awesome, a bit too much maybe, but awesome as well. She can already summon Uke and Mike without her summoning papers (she still uses them later, I guess for a sense of security and stability), and idk how easy it is to pass a contract between masters, but Lewin could easily aid Izumo in controlling them, Shura aids Yukio, Tatsuma could appear here (hopefully), and teach some last minute fire bending-imean fire controlling abilities to Ryuuji and for the last element, earth, it will be more complicated, but I got a small idea on who could it be.

3. Here is where things get a bit complicated from all the mess of charts, elements and demon kings:

First we have the Diagram of Demonic Elements, in which the five main elements that exorcists can use when summoning demons are: fire, rot, spirit, earth and water.

We know the following:

Fire is being covered by Karura-Ryuuji/Tatsuma.

Spirit would be covered by Vayu & Indra-Izumo/Lewin or Vayu & Indra-Yukio/Lewin (for current contract efficacy).

Water would be covered by Hachirotaro-Yukio/Shura.

Earth could be covered by Uroboros-Shiemi/Amaimon or Uroboros-Shiemi/Nauhaus.

Rot could be covered by many options but the main ones would be: Nine Tails-Izumo/Astaroth/Neuhaus or Impure King(???)-Neuhaus/Astaroth (this option is the less likely, but oh well).

We know that Astaroth is currently with Satan’s fraction but if you remember from the 10 year anniversary character spread, he was one of the characters facing to the right (Satan’s side, the one in the paperbag), but his face in which he posseses Reiji Shiratori (the dude from ch. 1), was actually looking at the reader (meaning that they are neutral, so he could be swayed to turn with the True Cross side, after some talking and confrontation).

(Same shit with Amaimon, Dog Mephisto and Shima, we gotta look out for these dudes, they may betray us in the future, or they already did with their whole “I’m your enemy/Ima play with your feelings/I will cause you to have some character development and make the plot move forward” thing -.-).

Also, where tf is Takara?! Shouldn’t he be joining the exorcist forces with him being a high rank?? I know that the last time we see him is when he’s with Tsukiko (Tsukumo), when the artificial gate to Gehenna opened and everyone started seeing demons, I guess he was protecting Tsukumo (the bare frickin minimum but oh well). And I also find it curious that his head and his puppet occupy two places on the spread, meaning that whatever is posessing the puppet, has a will of its own, and Takara himself is another thing. This dude is suspicious as heck.

(A small parenthesis here, is that Kuro also has two places as well, I guess is because one is the demon cat sidhe (Kuro), and the other one is the physical body of the cat that is being posessed by Kuro, the demon sidhe).

(I know this is a bit outdated since Yukio already turned with the True Cross, but he's the only exception here, everyone else remains the same).

Also, I’m thinking that Astaroth is going to be the big boss that the gang is going to battle against (Ryuuji, Izumo, Koneko and Shima), since he hasn’t made any big movements for the duration of the war and the gang already has a lot of experience fighting against necrotic and rotting enemies (the Impure king, the chimera zombies, Nine Tails, Gedoin).

In this fight is where Ryuuji recovers his flames with Karura and everything starts to come together, ohyis baby.

So, after a good fight, they may persuade Astaroth to join them, or he may posess someone (prolly Neuhaus, for the element compatibility), so they can use his powers against Satan to lower his body defenses, since we don’t have a rot demon that is an immortal and has death and rebirth abilities, if we are taking the Nine Tails out of the equation, since I find it harder for Izumo to control her over Vayu & Indra, but is still a good option.

Also, Neuhaus should be dead already from using and being exposed to the Devil *star* Punisher and the crystallization of Armumahel this entire time, that’s why I think the one that should be making the shot is Yukio, since he’s immune to the effects of the black flame and any flame whatsoever.

But we know that Neuhaus has a personal grudge against Satan for killing her wife and unborn child as well as scarring him for life, so he won’t let go of the weapon even if his life depends on it (so all this is telling me that he will die or smt).

4. So, anyways, to wrap things up:

I’m gonna proceed to show how the accumulated energies and powers of the demon kings may side with the True Cross to weaken/expose and subsecuently defeat Satan once and for all.

(It will be “Demon with Master in Contract/Teacher to Help Control Them”).

We have Satan’s mirror and almost equal which is Rin himself.

For the Sool, we have Shemihaza being Shiemi, and Armumahel being Yukio/Shima/Lucy (is she still dead??? omy I hope not). But both Sool are on the side of the True Cross.

For the King of Light, Lucifer, is kinda confusing, we got Uke & Mike, Vayu & Indra, and even the Nine Tails (since foxes are kin of spirit and light), with Izumo/Lewin or Yukio/Lewin being their masters. (Something is telling me that Lucifer will join the fight by directly posessing Angel, since he’s a clone of Lucifer as well as being in the Paladin position. Lucifer is slightly less powerful than Satan, so comparing him to Shiro being posessed, Angel has better chance to last longer as Lucifer’s vessel) (Also, will Angel die or sacrifice himself to contain Lucifer and this may free the position for Rin to become the next Paladin? I wanna know what happens) (We could even have Angel controlling Lucifer but that would be too far fetched lol or could also give the opportunity to Lucifer to have a life without pain and suffering ._. we may never know).

For the King of Time, we got Mephisto himself, if he doesn’t pull a betrayal out of nowhere, some scheme that may doom everyone or make some sketchy deal with some main character, then everything should be fine, sigh, this dude stresses me out so much.

For the King of Spirit, Azazel, we got Vayu & Indra (almost Immortals(???)), with Izumo/Lewin or Yukio/Lewin again, we could also add Nine Tails or Uke & Mike to the equation I guess, since they are all spirit and light demons, ugh, someone send help.

For the King (Queen) of Fire, Iblis, we got Karura (an Immortal), with Ryuuji/Tatsuma.

For the King of Water, Egyn, we got Hachirotaro (an Immortal), with Yukio/Shura.

For the King of Rot, we may get Astaroth himself, or in the worst case, the Nine Tails will have to be his substitute with Izumo/Neuhaus being her masters.

For the King of Earth we got Amaimon himself, whom I strongly believe Shiemi has a strong grip on him. Or Uroboros (an Immortal) (???), with Shiemi/Amaimon, but I’m not sure about that one.

For the King of Insects we got Beelzebub himself as well, he made it clear that it would be a pain if Satan won the war, so he will cooperate.

Konekomaru would be the main strategist for everyone to defeat Satan in the fastest and best way possible but idk how that will work out in the short time we have left.

With all this, we can see how the Baal and Sool all have their forces with the True Cross, which I’m guessing we will need in order to expose Satan’s heart and then shoot him with the Devil *star* Punisher to make him forget his own ego and destroy him right then and there or capture him and have him secluded somewhere with maximum security (like one of Mephisto’s alternate realities). Since Satan is like the fusion of every Baal and Sool, that’s why my insistence of having everyone fight together, aside from the fact that I want to see everyone kick a$$ with their powers and abilities, ohyis.

Anyways, this is all the new stuff I thought of, again, is all a theory jaja, some ideas I got and kept appearing and became bigger and bigger as I kept writing, uff. I rlly want to see how the story develops and I hope it lasts longer than them reaching the correct position and shooting Satan with Mephisto’s weapon.

One thing that strikes me (and I'm sure you'll go into more depth about it in your re read) is how Road called themselves (Noah) sacrificial lambs for the Earl. It makes me wonder if towards the end of the war there will be some greater meaning to this. Like Road and the other Noah must offer up their literal lives on this Earth in order for Adam to complete his task. Okay this is going a little beyond what we have in canon. But what if we have different dimensions/timelines going on here? -

2 It has been theorized Allen has been to or known about futuristic looking apocolypses. Which means, unless all this took place in the literal pre flood past already, there might be records of alternative realms the bookman are aware of. Perhaps collecting info from other realities in order to help save their own? There has also been the question of where the akuma souls really go and if it will one day be explored in more detail. Perhaps since Allen and the other Noah may all die in this -

3 they're mean't to go to the realm where whoever god is? Since Adam declared war on dgm's god or whatever that being is. Maybe the problem is Adam has to figure put how to stop his Noah family from reincarnating so the memories/soul can pass on and finish the war in wherever the Innocence originated from. Destroying the Heart and then offering themselves upon the altar is just the first step. Which is why Allen, being a noah might have to be killed alongside the Noah and why the Noah are so -

4 determined (despite any issues with Nea) to cut off his Innocence and invite him into the family. Allen is a necessary part to both the Heart and Adam in order for them to complete their goals. For Adam he needs Allen to die w/him. For the Heart it needs Allen to live for it. It's possible Allen will end up dying but have to go to thhe realm where the Innocence god is alongside the Noah but fight the Noah's there so their reincarnation ends for good and their goals of not accomplished.

Okay I admit we have... nearly not enough information about it so far and i really don’t know @.@ even theorizing seems even more far fetched to me.

There is also the question of what is the purpose of the Akuma - the Earl is clear that there is more to their purpose than what we let on. We know yet that the Noah have no problem torturing and destroying some of those souls as well. 

There is the question of where akuma souls go when they’re destroyed by Dark Matter and when they’re destroyed by innocence, there is a clear salvation/distress dicotomy in between them, but apparently the Akuma exists still further than as weapons.

As for why there would be sacrifice....

I personally tend to beleive it’s a cicle - of the Flood happened before already, it will happen again, and there are perhaps parts of history that remembers. I tend to believe it more easily than different timelines all together bc it would be a lot to swallow as a new info. The Bookmen perhaps would have more info in general though. And I believe Allen somewhat managed to see a previous world destruction - or a future one? Something connected with the flow of life.

“Destroying the Heart and then offering themselves upon the altar is just the first step.” i think it’s a very likely ending. As far as we know, this script had repeated itself over and over again. There is one great flood recorded in the records, but it seems like this battle had gone on and on and on. And I think the previous Earl showed that he was tired with this same cicle repeating, with him giving up his form and separating himself in two. So I would be inclined to believe the Noah are trying to break the cycle, eventually by finally bringing it one last time to an end.

In the Text, the Flood was about rebirthal. It was about God whipping off the Earths all that was unworthy, that had strayed away from the path, and the Nephilim (the offsprings of humanity and angels), and only chosing Noah and his family to create an ark to secure what he wanted to be preserved from the Flood: mainly a pair of each animals. After the Flood, God showed regrets and didn’t want anything like that to happen ever again, and hoped Noah’s family will set up a new future.

Now in the manga, if we associate to that, we would have therefore a Noah family set into protecting what’s worth protecting, and letting the world’s abomination to be destroyed - including people with “angel matters” (like innocence?). 

It would make the Akuma the animals being spared by the flood, which i personally find really strange with how the Akuma seems very tortured by the way they are being, how the souls are suffering. If that’s their view of preserving, there is a twisted catch. And the secret of the Akuma...doesn’t feel to me like it could redeem that. (like if the souls suffering where the people who tried to defy god and call for their loved one, fine, but the Akuma’s tragedy is that the souls suffering never asked for it. Why would they be considered more worth saving than souls who loved so much they could bring people back to life?)

The manga says, from the Order’s POV that the Earl wasn’t satisfied with the way God finished the work, and that there was more to clean on Earth. 

But from the Noah’s sides, everything about God is... a mess. And blurry. And very hard to understand when they mean “The Order’s god” and Their own God. Tbh even if i hope my reread helps me understand it i keep blacking out when they get mentioned because i am missing the key pieces to put those together.

But I do believe it’s likely there is an attempt into breaking the cycle - if so, it would be by destroying the Heart to stop it from coming back again, and destroying the full Noah family in order to stop them from reincarnating. that’s one possible outcome.

The other possible outcome is a more simple, the Noah were humans after all. The gene of Noah is passed down into every humans and any humans can awaken the gene. The reasons why those 12 specifically did is still up for debate. But perhaps being chosen is itself a sacrifice, as you have to sacrifice your humanity in order to push to the destruction of humanity.

Last but not least, would the Noah manage to destroy humanity all together with the new Flood, there would be no way for the gene to actually get passed down again. If the Noah manages to pull on their flood, there will be no possible way for them to be reincarnated. Even if they don’t get sacrified in the process of starting the Flood, they will be by the only fact that if they manage, they will not be able to come back later on.

So the aspect of sacrifice can come in multiple shape and form and we’re far from having any answers about that. It could be just as much about killing them, as it is that they are giving their lives away by being Noah, as it is that if they manage their goals, all of them will never come back.

As for whenever they’ll try to reach for God or not... I don’t know. “God” is too ambiguious in that manga for me to know. I don’t know what to do with God’s mentions nor how it would play latter on orz

so yeah that’s definitly not my comfort zone there but... i really don’t know. I hope we get to learn more but so far.. yeah.
