You don't have to read this fellas Something perfect: A bubbling stream nestled away in the bushes, a rabbit or two hopping and snuffling along the overgrown banks. Sunlight is pouring through the canopy like sap, pooling on the floor in warm patches. A young deer sits just behind a tree, a bush pressed against its speckled side. Or: Sitting in a flowery field, leaning against the trunk of a thick, mossy tree, reading your favorite book as bees fly around, landing on the dew-spattered flowers and collecting pollen. Or: Laying in that same flowery field, moon overhead, gazing at the magnificent stars. Crickets chirp in the distance. Or: Sitting by the fireplace, reading a 200k+ fanfiction with amazing grammar and plot as rain pelts down on the tin roof above. Or: Sitting next to a river, watching the eels dance around like ribbons in the wind, slick bodies twirling around each other effortlessly. Here it is calm. Here all is well. ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOU- ok ok no stop you ruined the moment

I was thinking of an Avatar-esque sequel scenario where Mae joins the Eagle Clan as a spy for the humans, which leads to her going through the clan's coming-of-age ceremony to raise her own eagle!

She'd have a heck of a time climbing up those buildings, and I imagine it'd take most of the day for her loll ^^;; But Noa would be with her the entire way to make sure she's safe, and he'd be very proud of her once she gets her egg :'''D

I really like that they made Jor-El speak Kryptonian and Clark unable to understand him. The whole "aliens speak English" thing that happens in every goddamn media has bothered me all my life. Ik sometimes Clark just gets zapped in the brain for insta-second language but that always felt like a cheap shortcut.

Jor-El had a lot on his mind when he set up that magic spaceship okay. The world was ending and he was trying to do as much as he could before time ran out so he could be there for his son. He was rushing. He likely didn't consider Kal would be raised with a whole different language and not know any Kryptonian nor have anyone to teach him.

I want you to know that your art is very important to me, and I'm very invested in all of the characters I have seen from you. Also, the discussion about Finnish and other languages having gendered words or not has been the last little push to get me to start learning Finnish which I think is fun.

Mariner's story line this episode being about her seeking out domesticity and community was fascinating to me. Especially considering she starts the episode by complaining that she'd rather go to a (presumably fairly regular) Taquito Night with her shipmates than go on an undercover mission that's objectively pretty exciting and unusual compared to what the Cerritos normally does.

I've said before that Mariner gives "homebody who's idea of home just happens to be high energy space adventure", but damn this episode really leaned into that in ways previous episodes haven't.
