Isekai, the act of transporting a person from earth to a different planet, world, universe, usually of a novel or a video game. It was a childish concept that you haven't bothered and never intended to look into, until you got 'isekaied' yourself.
Unlike what your younger siblings have told you, instead of beautiful vast magical worlds filled with sub-human species and a logical storyplot, you ended up in the most boring case scenario, a fairy tale. Specifically, the "Red Riding Hood" children's book that fell out of the shelf and onto the ground next to you while you were at a bookstore.
As any normal person does, you picked up the book, hoping to put it back to it's original spot, but got your body sucked into the pages instead. To be fair, it could've been worse, so, so much worse. You luckily didn't become the new Red Riding Hood, instead, you became the older brother of the Red Riding Hood.
It's not as bad as it sounds, like, you have a loving and caring family of both parents and an adorable younger sister, as well as a grandmother who you occasionally visits for the first 18 years of your life. What more could you ask for?
The life of your younger sister, that's what you could ask for. Even if they're technically not real, you couldn't help but care for them, care for the years of family meetings, the little happy moments, the vacations, even something as trivial as a meal together. And yet, imagine how your heart sunk in once you heard your mother tell your sister to deliver the cookies to your grandmother tomorrow after hearing rumors of the hunter being on break on the same day.
It made your anxiety levels go wayhire. Your sister's and your grandmother's life depended on the hunter after all, what would happen to them if there's no more hunter? Will they die under the wolf's hands? Can you even escape this book if they die?
.
.
.
Would you be trapped here forever then? What about your family outside of this? Would they even still remember you after 18 years? Worse, what if they just, hate you now?
Why should you even leave this place if that's the case?...
You crawled onto a ball on your bed, hugging onto the soft pillow in search of even a little bit of comfort. This place wasn't real, none of this is, your world was simply a scramble of words combined together by some random old man hundreds of years back, hell, you weren't even supposed to be here, why would you care if your supposed 'sister' and 'grandmother' dies?
Yet you found yourself restless. You had an idea on what to do, god knows if it'll work, but... It'll never hurt to try, right?
You throw your pillow away and change into warmer clothes, turning off the lights before sneaking out of the house through the window, heading directly towards the bright tavern in the middle of the town.
Tumblr media
"Brother, why are you not eating? Do you not like it?" The voice of your sister knocked you right out of your thoughts, scrambling to take a bite out of the sandwich she made for you.
"No no- it's good, it's good, I'm just thinking about what I need to get for groceries." Your sister barely bought your excuse, barely. You can still see her crossing her arms and pouting in the corner of your eyes. She was glaring at you for a few solid minutes, as if trying to pry the truth from you. With a huff, she leaned back against the chair and muttered under her breath.
"Remember to buy some candy for me while you're at it then, I'm gonna go now. I don't wanna leave grandma waiting." You let out a mental sigh of relief, ruffling your little sister's hair. "You're just as childish as ever." You chuckled.
Before you sister leaves, she jumped into your arms to give you a hug causing a small smile escapes from your mouth. Your hand reached up to pat her on the head, if you had to be honest, you don't know if you regret your deal with the hunter or not anymore.
Tumblr media
"Shit... If I knew slacking off would get you on my dick, I would've taken so many vacations."
The hunter chuckled, leaning in to place a loving kiss on your forehead. You pushed his head back to give him a glare, well, as best as a glare could be with the blindfold covering your eyes. You barked, gritting your teeth as you tried to kick him in the stomach.
"Shut the fuck up and just get it done with already. This deal was only for my family, bastard. Bet you can't even get anyone else to get into bed with you without forcing them into shitty deals-" Your words were cut mid way when he firmly slapped you across your face, his other hand gripping your ankle and hosteling your leg onto his shoulder.
You hissed in annoyance, yet a part of you felt pride for successfully pissing the hunter off. You can only assume what his face was like right now, is he glaring down at you like a lamb in the slaughter or is that stupid smug smirk on his face away? You didn't even have time to guess twice before he shoved his fingers into your mouth with a firm "Suck."
You held yourself back from laughing when you got your answer immediately, this guy was pissed as fuck. You decided to comply anyways, sucking on his fingers and making sure to bite them lightly as you pulled back.
"Sweetheart, did nobody teach you to not play with fire?" His hand wandered down to thrust his fingers roughing into you, his other hand gripping onto your chin to muffle your noises with a kiss.
This fucking bastard didn't even give you a warning before he turned you into puddy over his fingers, you bit onto the bottom of his lips, but instead of him pulling away, he continued on, ignoring the way you clawed onto his back as if you were trying to murder him.
Your hands reach up to try and remove your blindfold out of annoyance, leading to his hand snapping up to hold your wrists together, the other one pulling out of you to unbuckle his belt. "Good boys don't disobey their orders, sweetheart." He chuckled half-heartedly.
That scratched you in the worst way possible, but before you could even react, he thrust the tip of his dick into you, stealing all the air out of your lungs. "Fucking! Ugh- Warn me!" Your nails dug onto your palm, you felt like all your body strength just disappeared into thin air.
You didn't even have time to complain about it after he thrusted fully into you, huffing at the sight of your body shaking like a leaf under him. It was adorable how your attitude went away as soon as he entered, but to be fair, you would probably be more horrified when you realized his dick made a small bump on your stomach.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" He chuckled, placing a kiss on your forehead as he started moving at a fairly gentle pace. He freed your wrists to grip onto your hips, leaning forward to place comforting kisses on your neck. "Come on, let me hear those beautiful noises of yours, sweetheart."
You bit the bottom of your lip to the point of drawing blood, your hands gripping onto the bedsheets underneath to the point of your knuckles turning white. Despite your efforts, some small muffled noises still managed to escape your throat, which was enough for him to speed up his ravage with a satisfied grin.
"You're truly so, so adorable, sweetheart." He groaned, hugging you and burying his face into your collarbone. Your hand moved to grip onto his hair to try and push him away, but it barely felt like anything to him due to the lack of strength in your body. Your antics didn't last long anyways, you were already a cock-drunk moaning mess under him, and at this point, he thinks he likes you better this way.
Those thoughts made him bite your neck roughly as he threw away all self control he had, prioritizing on chasing his own pleasure instead. You wouldn't have complained if you didn't get overstimulated from that, you already came a few moments beforehand, and he didn't even give you a break from abusing your sweet spot even more.
You couldn't be bothered to try and stay quiet when you felt like you would break under him. As a warm feeling filled your stomach, you felt lightheaded as you closed your eyes, trying to calm yourself down from the climax.
He pulled you into a hug, his hand patting you on the back of your head as he pulled out and rested you on your side. Before you drifted off to sleep, you felt a kiss on your cheek as he muttered something you couldn't make out.

Actually, I probably should've mentioned this earlier but you probably shouldn't be reading this at all, the chefs might come after me if they know I'm divulging their secrets, but the world has a right to know. Plus, OP started it, if you're going to start telling on them you have to go all the way or you're giving them even more power, and believe me, you don't want that. ~
The couple's bad mood was not simply slept off and it's ruining your vibe.
You and Mandy are getting ready in their en suite bathroom while Hamzah and Martin speak in hushed tones in the bedroom. The bathroom door is open, and every so often you look at the space over your shoulder in the mirror and make eye contact with Martin from the bed. He looks away immediately, not at all subtle. It's like a game at this point, seeing how many times you can catch him in the act.
"Is he gonna do this all night," you mumble, applying your mascara after yet another match of eye-tag.
"We could just close the door," Mandy offers. She pays no mind to the childish behavior behind you, straightening her hair without sparing him a single glance.
"You're so right," you say and get up to shut it yourself.
Once your makeup is pretty much done, you decide to start getting dressed. You turn the music on her speaker up and give yourself a once-over in the mirror, holding different outfits beside your body to see what you want to wear for the night.
"I don't know what to wear. Wanna match?" you ask, placing your chin on top of her head to stop her movements. She nearly clamps your neck with the straightener. "Hey!"
"Sure," she laughs. "Grab my suitcase, please."
You put your clothes back down and step out of the bathroom to bring her suitcase in. You shimmy it out of its place by the TV stand, not missing the way the boys go completely silent until you're gone.
"Top zipper, the satin blue dress," Mandy instructs.
You hand it to her and sit by your own bag of clothes to rummage through it. You find a top and skirt set in a similar baby blue color then hold it up for her to see.
"Yes, no, yes?"
"Yes, definitely."
You apply your lip combo and take a few silly photos in the mirror with Mandy, your made up faces clashing with your baggy tees. One of the better photos are posted on your Instagram story for fun. When you finally get changed—you guys had a dance break to some y2k club classics—you put your heels on and realize you need a little pregame.
When you walk into the bedroom this time, the boys are leaned against the headboard and on their phones, mindlessly scrolling. You go by Martin's side of the bed and poke him repeatedly until he looks up.
"Do you happen to have the penjamin on you?"
"That depends," he says, putting his hand in his pocket. "What's the magic word?"
You roll your eyes. "Please?"
He pulls the little device out of his pocket and presents it to you in his palm. When you go to grab it, he makes a fist and holds it above his head.
"Please who?"
"I'm not calling you Daddy," you scoff, prying his fingers open and snatching the pen from his grasp. He barely puts up a fight. "That's Hamzah's job."
At the mention of his name, Hamzah looks up and seems like he's about to say something to retaliate but freezes. His gaze drags down your figure and you blush.
"Maybe it's not his job," Martin says smugly, "since you made him speechless."
Hamzah snaps out of it and elbows his friend in the side.
“It would be your girlfriend's job if you weren't being petty right now."
You wince at the sullen expression that washes over Martin's face.
"Right."
All you can do is watch as he clambers off the bed and walks out of the room. You lean against the wall and slide the balcony door open with a sigh.
"He can't seriously be that mad," Hamzah says. "I was kidding."
"He can dish it, but he can't take it," you say, too used to his behavior. "And he's extra sensitive right now, so."
"Well, they better not ruin our night with that stuff." Hamzah crosses his arms.
"I won't let them."
"Yeah?" Hamzah snorts. "What're you gonna do about it?"
"Um." You take a hit and blow the smoke outside. "I'll think of something if I need to step in."
Hamzah laughs at your empty threat and you smile. You take another hit before offering the dab pen to him.
"I have a feeling I should be sober for tonight."
"Boring," you sing out. "It'll be fine. C'mon, feel my peer pressure."
You wiggle your fingers at him and he shakes his head, laughing lightly. When he silently puts his hand out a few seconds later, you cheer. The room fills with the loud music from Mandy's speaker as he takes his first hit.
"So," you begin, already feeling slightly heady. "What were you guys whispering about earlier?"
"I shouldn't say."
"Really?"
He nods. "It was partly about their fight. Partly the trip. And you."
"Me?" You point at yourself with raised eyebrows.
"Yeah." He shrugs. "I can't divulge the details."
"That's bullshit."
"I never ask what you guys say about me."
"Hey—I don't—what?" you stutter, unable to come up with a defense.
"C'mon," he says, tilting his head. "I'm not that oblivious."
Your eyes narrow. You've never once considered that this cupid thing Martin was pulling on you could have gone both ways. You don't know if you're relieved for him stepping in to push his friend closer to you, or annoyed that he's even meddling in this whole thing. It makes you wonder if Martin knows what happened by the time he and Mandy returned to the beach last night.
"Speaking of details." You clear your throat. "Do you even know what club we're going to?"
Your attempt at changing the topic is weak, but as per usual, Hamzah rolls with it to save you any embarrassment.
"No clue. Martin keeps his trip itinerary locked in his notes."
The conversation devolves into a bunch of what if's about the night and jokes that are only funny because you guys are high. When Mandy finally comes to join and sees the state of you two, you offer her a hit.
"What? No drinks?" She frowns.
"Hotel alcohol is like twenty bucks a pop! This is the next best thing."
"Ugh, fine. Give it."
With the three of you thoroughly blitzed, you collect Martin from the living room couch and make your way out of the hotel. He doesn't speak for a majority of the walk, and you think that's the longest you've ever heard him be quiet in a group setting.
Despite it being nearly 10 P.M., the air is pretty humid and forgiving on your exposed skin. The other thing about it being so late already, is that the club is absolutely chock-full of people when you enter. The dance floor of strangers are nearly toe to toe in proximity, and you wrap your arm with Mandy's to avoid getting separated in the crowd. The boys immediately beeline to the bar for drinks, but you don't let that stop your journey. You maneuver your way to the front of the stage and only let go of each other once you've found a bit of space to dance in.
The DJ nods at the two of you and you turn to raise your eyebrows suggestively at Mandy, who pushes your shoulder and continues dancing. You get lost in the beat, swaying and bouncing with the vibrations traveling through your limbs. The strobe lights illuminate your sweaty skin and you swear the energy in the room has you feeling higher. You begin grinding on each other and throw your heads back to laugh, trying to catch your breaths in between a multitude of bodies.
"Hey!" Mandy places her arms around your shoulders to catch your attention and you take it as a sign to grind on her. "I'm going to grab drinks.”
"No!" You turn and put your hands over hers. "Don't go!"
"I'll be right back!" She grins and squeezes you before letting go to disappear into the crowd.
Alone, you turn back to the stage and throw your hands in the air. You close your eyes for a moment, the pounding beats making a home in your brain. You're sure your ears will be ringing when you leave.
You wonder if Martin's drunk himself into a coma yet and knowing him, you know how easy that could be. You only hope this outing tonight doesn't make him do anything he regrets. Then you remember he’s a twenty-five year old man and you’re worrying about him while you’re supposed to be having fun. So, you shut your brain off and let the beat carry you.
When Mandy's back, she has two drinks in hand and Hamzah in tow. She hands you a cocktail and you graciously sip from your first alcoholic drink of the night.
"Where's Martin?" you ask.
"Bar!" she shouts over the music.
You shake your head. "Make up and make out already!"
She jabs your side and you giggle, swatting her hand away. Hamzah's doing something reminiscent of a frat flick, looking slightly out of it. You assume he's already done some shots and is way more intoxicated. So, being an empath, you finish your drink to get closer to his level. When you're done, you hand the empty cup to Mandy and wink at her. Your hand envelops Hamzah's and you pull him deeper in the crowd so you can dance together.
"I don't—I can't dance," he complains, nearly tripping over his own feet.
"C'mon, it's easy!"
You begin by swaying your hips, raising his hand in yours to guide him into a rhythm. He tries to follow along, shuffling around like a newborn deer. It's a funny sight, but you don't want him to stop if you tease him, so you bite back your amused smile. He slowly gets less self-conscious and continues on in his own way with the flow of the music, even twirling you around once or twice, laughing all the way as you narrowly avoid knocking into people. His eyes never leave you, like he's constantly thinking of his next move to impress you.
After letting him freestyle some more, you pull him close and wrap your arms around his shoulders. He falters at the change in pace and his hands fall at your hips. Your hands rest at the nape of his neck and he shivers at the way your fingertips grace his skin. The rapid strobe lights nearly blind you, but you hold eye contact.
"Was that so bad?" you ask, tilting your head to the side.
"Yes," he says sarcastically. "I hate dancing."
"But I like your dancing."
You sway with him, careful not to step on his toes in your heels. Close up, you can nearly feel his breath on your face. You take a moment to admire his eyelashes and the way his eyes are slightly bloodshot, willing him to break the eye contact. He leans in closer.
"I like your dancing more."
You can't help but grin. His expression mimics yours.
"Yeah, well," you start, bringing your thumb up to trace the side of his jaw, "I like you."
He ducks down and captures your lips in a kiss. It takes you by surprise. You hadn't spoken a word about your kiss since last night, and you were beginning to think you made a mistake by acting on your impulses. Evidently, he doesn't seem to mind it as much as you'd worried.
The tip of his nose presses against your cheek as he shifts his head to deepen the kiss. Though the room is warm, this makes you hotter than any amount of dancing could've done. His palms squeeze your hips and your fingers rise to play with his curls. They're soft to the touch, just as you suspected. You tug lightly as the kiss gets more insatiable.
"Ouch," he mumbles against your lips, barely loud enough to hear. You snicker and tug it again, making him pull away. "I said ouch."
"I know," you laugh out. "Sorry."
"That funny?" he questions. You nod, grinning at his playful irritation. "See how you like it."
His hand trails up your back until his fingers are at your scalp and he gently pulls on your roots. Your head moves back with his action and your lips part, exhaling a shaky breath. His eyes widen. He does it again. You reach up to kiss him again.
It's hotter this time, in both senses of the word. Your skin goes alight with a blaze even the coldest shower couldn't reduce. You drape your wrists over his shoulders, your beaded bracelet pressing into him the same way his is imprinting into the sliver of bare skin below your top.
Realizing you’re standing in place in the midst of a lively dance floor, you break from the kiss and turn so your back is against his front. You pull his arms around your shoulders and sway, deliberately pressing yourself against him. You enjoy hearing the way his breath hitches next to your ear, always needing to find a new way to tease him. You know if you could have it your way without seeming too desperate too soon, you’d be doing more than just dancing.
“I like you, too,” he says, clutching you closer to him. “I forgot to say.”
You turn your head and nearly kiss his cheek because of how cute he is. “Thanks for clearing that up.”
“And I really like your dancing.”
His suggestive words spur you into grinding on him more, anything to get a reaction out of him, and it works every time. The two of you keep going this way until your thighs are burning and you’re out of breath. If it weren’t for the visual reminder, you would’ve forgotten that you came here with other people.
A couple feet away, you spot two familiar heads weeding through the crowd and slowly drawing nearer. You step away from Hamzah, who looks at you with an unreadable expression on his face. Before you can explain yourself, you come face-to-face with Mandy. Martin stops a bit away.
“Can we leave?” she rushes out.
Her mascara is running and her nose is red. Martin looks disgruntled, his eyes never staying in one place as he scans through the crowd. You grab her hand and nod. The four of you spot the nearest exit and leave promptly.
“What happened?” you ask once you’re out in the open. “Are you okay?”
“Can I stay in your room tonight?” Her eyes stay on the ground.
Your heart drops. “Of course.”
The walk back to the hotel is uneasy and fast-paced. The boys walk behind the two of you and you can hear Martin’s one word answers to everything Hamzah says to him. Your heels click and clack, barely providing a distraction from the hundreds of questions swarming your mind.

You turn your head to look at him over your shoulder, your eyes meeting his. "You could say that. Everything that could go wrong today, did." You sigh, leaning back into his touch.
Joel's lips quirk up in a small, sympathetic smile. "Want to talk about it?" He asks, his voice low and soothing. "Or do you just want me to rub your shoulders for a bit?" His hands continue their ministrations, then pause for a moment on your shoulders, and he leans down to press a soft kiss to your temple. His hand slides down to cup your breast, thumb circling your nipple. "I'm going to take such good care of you," he promises, his voice thick with desire. "I'm going to make you feel so good, princess. I swear."
He leans down and captures your nipple in his mouth, his tongue swirling around the sensitive bud. His hand massages your other breast, fingers plucking at the nipple. You had never liked Heeseung, and he had never liked you either. It all began when you were both freshmen in university and were invited to a spring break party at a frat house. After consuming almost 6 shots of alcohol, you felt dizzy and rushed to the bathroom to vomit. Unintentionally, you left the door slightly open, and Heeseung, recording the entire incident, uploaded it to his social media account, which nearly all of your school followed.
"excuse me, what?!” you exclaimed in disbelief. As a new school year started, it marked your third year in university. You were on your way to your lockers to grab your belongings when Heeseung suddenly appeared, nonchalantly leaning against the lockers, resembling the stereotypical high school crush.
He simply folded his arms against his chest and repeated the question bluntly, “Be my fake girlfriend for the entire semester.” No ‘please’ or anything, just a short and direct order. Even you had to admit he was extremely hot—black hair, sharp and distinct features, muscular figure—but you definitely hated that attractive face of his due to the incident.
You crossed your arms and gave Heeseung a once-over, adopting a contemplative expression. "Why do you need a fake girlfriend?" you repeated, your tone laced with skepticism.
“Simple.” He simply shrugged as he pushed himself off from the locker and took a couple of steps towards you, closing the distance between you two. He leaned down slightly so his eyes were leveled with yours, “I’m sick and tired of my parents asking if I have a girlfriend. It’s exhausting lying to them all the time so I need someone to pretend to be my girlfriend for a few months, and they just happen to fall for you.” He spoke with as if you were nothing more than a mere tool.
"Why not tell them you're too busy with your studies?" you quipped, followed by a sarcastic chuckle. "Oh wait, I nearly forgot—you've been suspended twice! Who would believe you're too swamped with academics?”
He rolled his eyes at your comment and continued talking, his voice laced with annoyance, “My parents don’t care about my education. They only care about my reputation and what others think of me because they’re so damn arrogant and stuck-up. In their eyes, a good reputation requires a girlfriend, and that’s all they care about when it comes to me.” He was starting to sound frustrated, but not because of you, just his parents.
You scoffed at his response, rolling your eyes in disbelief. "Do you honestly think I'm going to agree to be your fake girlfriend after that humiliating video you recorded and posted of me?"
“Ah, yes. That.” He let out a short, cynical chuckle as he ran a hand through his ebony hair. “I completely forgot about that.” Bullshit, you thought. “Listen, all I’m asking for is that you be my fake girlfriend. It’s not like I’m asking you to really date me. It’ll literally just be a few months.”
You gestured towards a group of girls nearby, a hint of sarcasm in your voice. "Why not ask one of those girls over there? I'm certain a bunch of them would be absolutely thrilled to have you merely glance in their direction."
He glanced over to the group of girls that you were gesturing to, and in all honesty, you were probably right. They always swooned over him whenever he passed them. Any of them would be dying to be Heeseung’s girlfriend, fake or not. But he looked back at you, a hint of annoyance in his eyes, “There’s a reason I asked you and not them.”
“I have a type and none of them matches it.” Heeseung stepped even closer to you so your bodies were almost touching. He tilted his head as scanned you up and down while speaking, “You’re pretty, smart enough. And no offense, you’re not the most popular girl here, but you’re certainly not unpopular.”
"So, you're saying you have a crush on me?" you teased, a smirk playing at the corners of your lips.
He rolled his eyes once again, “No, don’t flatter yourself, y/n. As I said, you’re just my type.” His hot, breath was now fanning over your neck and he was close enough that you could smell the scent of his cologne, a mix of musk and sandalwood, surrounding the air.
“No”
“Excuse me?”
“I said no”
Now, it was his turn to roll his eyes. He scoffed in disbelief, “You’re rejecting me? You honestly think you’re in the position to reject me?”
You feigned fear, mockingly exclaiming, "Stop, im shaking!" Then, you added with a scoff, "Oh, wait, let me guess—no one has ever turned you down, right?"
You were spot on. No one has ever rejected Heeseung before, nor do people ever dare to. Girls are always chasing after him, and boys are either jealous of him or intimidated by him. He’s never heard the word ‘no’ before, but hearing it now from your mouth was quite intriguing and somewhat entertaining.
“Not a single one.” He responded with a small smirk, his eyes flickering to your lips. He was now extremely close to you, the distance between you was only a couple inches away now. “No one’s ever rejected me before, but I suppose there’s a first time for everything, huh?” he teased.
"Just leave me alone, Heeseung," you mutter, slamming your locker shut and stalking away, your irritation evident.
He easily caught up to you and placed his hand on your shoulder, spinning you around to face him. “What? The great y/n is already giving up?” He leaned in closer. “I thought you’d put up more of a fight.” His grip on your shoulder tightened, but not enough to hurt you.
“I won’t ask again,” He began whispering in your ear, “Be my fake girlfriend for a semester, and I’ll never bother you again for the rest of our lives.” He was now pressed against you slightly, pinning you against the lockers and trapping you.
"What's in it for me?" you countered, locking eyes with him. "And don't say 'I'll never bother you for the rest of our lives.' That doesn't interest me."
A hint of amusement flashed in his eyes at your reply and he chuckled, “Always the smartass, aren’t you?” He leaned down, his breath fanning over your face, and he tilted your chin up so you were looking at him directly. “Name your terms then.”
You pretended to ponder, tapping your finger against your chin, and then declared, "A shiny new MacBook Pro would be pretty nice."
He raised his eyebrows in slight surprise, he didn’t expect you to ask for an item so quickly. He had thought you'd ask for money. “A MacBook?” he questioned before a small smirk spread across his face, “That’s all you want?”
"Oh, and a brand-new car would be great. A Tesla, maybe?"
A look of utter disbelief briefly crossed his face, “Are you just naming out expensive things in hopes that I’ll give in?”
"I mean, you're loaded, aren't you, Lee Heeseung?" you pointed out.
He had to admit you weren’t wrong. The Lee family was extremely wealthy—a huge estate worth millions with a large family business that brought in thousands a day, all passed down from generation to generation. “True. But don’t you think you’re aiming a bit too high here?”
You folded your arms across your chest and chimed in a sing-song tone, "Well, looks like you won't be getting a fake girlfriend after all~"
He let out a sigh, feeling slightly aggravated. Part of him had to admit, he liked your stubbornness. It didn’t come as a surprise though, you had always been the one person who wasn’t afraid of him. He had to take you seriously now though. “Okay. I’ll buy you a new MacBook pro and a Tesla. In return, you have to be my fake girlfriend for the whole semester. Deal?”
Your eyes widened, taken aback by his unexpected acceptance. "W-Wait, are you serious?"
“Does a deal mean I’m not serious?” he said, a hint of sarcasm lacing his voice. “Yes, I’m serious.” his intense gaze met yours once again, “It’s a yes or no you dumb fuck.”
"Deal!" you responded enthusiastically, extending an open hand towards him for a handshake.
He chuckled, finding your eagerness amusing. He took your outstretched hand and gave it a firm shake, sealing the deal with a smirk on his face. "Then it's official, you're now my fake girlfriend."
The following day, while at school, you received a text from Heeseung, asking to meet at the library after classes to discuss the details of this agreement. You readily agreed, tucking your phone away and making your way to class. Sure, enduring time with Heeseung, let alone pretending to love him would annoy the living fuck out of you, but hey, you were at least getting something out of the arrangement.
He was already in the library by the time you arrived, sitting in a secluded corner away from the rest of students. He glanced up as soon as you approached the table he was sitting at. "Sit." he commanded, gesturing to the chair across from him.
He leaned back in his chair, one arm resting on the back of the chair and the other on his knee. He studied you closely, taking in your every trait. “I have a few rules for this fake dating thing.” he finally spoke, his tone authoritative.
You let out an exaggerated eye roll and placed your arms on the table, leaning forward. "Do tell?”
“First rule: we have to do everything any real couple does in public. Holding hands, going on dates in public, the whole thing.” he spoke, his voice firm, “You’re my fake girlfriend now, so you can’t just sit there with that shitty look on your face when I’m around you. No one can suspect a thing. Understood?”
You raised a skeptical eyebrow and questioned pointedly, "I thought this fake girlfriend deal is just about appeasing your parents. Why do we have to act like we’re together outside of your house too? Won’t they think it’s odd we’re suddenly together? I’m pretty sure the whole school knows we hate each other by now.”
“Trust me, I know what I’m doing.” Heeseung replied, shooting you an irritated look. “Parents who’re too stuck-up and obsessed with their reputation like mine love seeing couples acting affectionate. Plus, we need the whole school to start seeing us as a real couple, not just my parents. It’ll be more believable that way.”
You tilted your head in bewilderment and inquired, "And what are you going to say when people approach us, curious about our 'relationship'?"
“We’ll just tell them the truth. That we started talking to each other at some point and found out that we weren’t as different from each other as we'd thought.” he spoke with a nonchalant tone. “But of course, I’ll have to make up a story of how I confessed and how we got together, but other than that, it’s pretty much believable.”
You hesitantly continued, your gaze shifting to his fiddling hands and the pen. "And... what about things like kissing, pet names, and all those things... how are we going to handle those?" You spoke in a sheepish tone, a hint of excitement and nervousness evident in your voice.
He smirked slightly at your flustered expression and leaned back in his chair again, one arm placed back on the back of his chair. “I don’t care what kind of pet names you call me, but I don’t want you to call me my actual name. And for kissing…” he spoke quietly, “if I have to kiss you to make all this believable, so be it.”
You let out a sigh, mentally preparing to navigate the next three months with a fake boyfriend. This was going to be... interesting, to say the least.
“There’s one more rule.” he spoke, his gaze now flickering to yours again. “During the three months of this deal, you belong to me. Meaning: no dating, no relationships, no going on dates with someone else. You’re mine now, you got that?”
His words struck a chord within you, causing your heart to skip a beat. Yet, you quickly reminded yourself, *No, y/n, snap out of it. You despise him, and he feels the same about you*. You reluctantly agreed, albeit with a protesting groan, and sunk into the couch.
He suppressed a smug smirk upon seeing your reaction to his words. Despite your protests and eye-rolls, he could see the way you tensed up when he spoke those words. He wasn’t an idiot, he could tell, the effect he had on you, whether you were willing to admit it or not.
You had just walked into the school building and instantly, you heard the whispers and murmurs among the students as you made your way to your locker. It was like time had slowed down and every eye in the hallway was on you.
“Is that y/n?” one boy whispered to his friend.
“Damn, she looks pretty today.”
“But why does it look like she’s in a bad mood?” another boy spoke quietly.
Meanwhile, Heeseung was leaning against the lockers at the end of the hall, flanked by his two best friends, Jake and Sunghoon. They were having a conversation when Sunghoon’s eyes suddenly fixated on you, as you walked towards your locker. He nudged Heeseung's arm with his elbow, pointing at you.
“Hey, look,” Sunghoon whispered. “Isn’t that y/n?”
Heeseung’s eyes flickered over to the direction Sunghoon was looking at and he nodded. “Yeah, it’s her. She looks pretty today, huh?” a small smirk spread across his face as he watched from afar.
“What are you guys looking at?” Jake spoke up, craning his neck to see what had grabbed Heeseung and Sunghoon’s attention.
Sunghoon tilted his head towards you. “Just our little y/n over there, trying to play it cool but she looks pretty annoyed.”
Jake let out a small chuckle. “She always looks annoyed these days.”
“I mean, can you blame her?” Sunghoon asked, “She always looks like she wants to murder someone.”
Jake chuckled and nodded. “Agreed. She’s just naturally bitchy, I guess.”
Heeseung, however, was still quietly watching you. His eyes never left your figure as you continued on to your locker and began to open it.
“She's hot though.” Jake commented. “I'd ask her out if it didn't seem like she'd tear my head off.”
Sunghoon laughed. “She's out of your league anyways, man.” he teased.
Jake rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want,” he replied, jokingly punching Sunghoon’s arm. “I know she’s out of *both* our leagues.”
“Is there even any guy that she likes?” Sunghoon wondered aloud. “I don’t think I’ve ever even seen her hanging out with a guy.”
Heeseung's gaze flicked over to Sunghoon at the question, a small knowing smirk playing at his lips.
Jake looked over at Heeseung. “What about you?”
Heeseung’s smirk grew slightly at the question and he shrugged nonchalantly. “What about me?” he replied, his tone nonchalant.
Jake’s eyes widened a bit in surprise. “Oh, come on, don’t tell me you like her.” he said in disbelief.
“I never said I did,” replied Heeseung, still maintaining his casual demeanor.
Sunghoon’s eyes narrowed suspiciously. “You didn’t deny it either though…” he pointed out, giving Heeseung a look.
“You know me better than that, don’t you?” Heeseung said, shooting Sunghoon a mocking look and rolling his eyes. “Yeah, sure, she’s got a nice body and she’s pretty, but she’s got the personality of a cactus. I’m not *that* masochistic.”
Sunghoon and Jake both chuckled at his response.
“Damn, man, that was a good one.” Sunghoon commented, lightly slapping Heeseung’s shoulder. “You’re right though, she’s probably not worth the headache.”
Heeseung pushed himself off of the locker he was leaning against and took a step forward, still keeping his eyes on you. “You know, there’s actually something I wanted to tell you two.” he spoke casually.
Sunghoon and Jake exchanged a curious glance before looking back at Heeseung. “What is it?” Sunghoon inquired.
Heeseung shifted his stance, his hands now in the pockets of his pants. “Well, I’ve been seeing y/n.” he replied, a small smirk dancing on his lips.
Jake’s eyes widened in surprise. “Wait, what?” he exclaimed, clearly not expecting that answer.
Sunghoon, on the other hand, let out a scoff of disbelief. “You’re joking, right? There’s no way you and her are a thing. She hates your guts!”
Heeseung chuckled at Sunghoon's reaction. “I’m dead serious, though.”
Jake still looked like he was processing the information. “But..how is that even possible? You guys have hated each other for three years now!”
“Things change, I guess…” he replied, shrugging his shoulders. “We actually started talking a few weeks back and… well, started spending more time together. She’s not as bitchy as I thought she’d be.” he added, a smirk on his face.
Out of the blue, the question left Jake's lips, curiosity getting the better of him. "Have you guys... you know, fucked?"
Sunghoon burst out laughing and playfully slapped Jake on the back of the head. “Don’t ask him that, man!”
Heeseung rolled his eyes at Jake’s question, but a small smirk tugged at his lips nonetheless. “What, you want details?” he teased.
Jake’s expression turned sheepish. “No, no, I was just wondering.” he quickly retorted, his cheeks turning a hint of pink. “It’s just…I never thought something like that would actually happen between you two.”
“Yeah well, it did...” Heeseung replied, his smirk growing into a full-on grin. “And just wait until you see how different she is when it’s just the two of us.” he added, the hint of pride evident in his tone.
Heeseung fished out his phone from his pocket and typed a quick message to you, sending it off.
*‘Meet me in the janitor’s closet on the third floor during lunch. I need to talk to you.’*
As he put his phone back in his pocket, Sunghoon noticed the screen and raised an eyebrow. “Texting y/n?” he asked, with a mocking tone.
Heeseung rolled his eyes again. “You’re damn observant, aren’t you?” he retorted sarcastically. “Yeah, just asked her to meet me later during lunch.”
Jake, never one to back down from teasing his friend, proposed, "Why don't you bring her to eat with us? We want to get to know your 'girlfriend' better, at least that's what you're telling us... But let's be real, no one truly believes that you two are actually together." Sunghoon, equally skeptical as Jake, nodded in agreement.
Everyone was well aware of the animosity between the two popular students, Heeseung and y/n. Jake's and Sunghoon's doubts about their supposed relationship echoed what many others had assumed.
Heeseung rolled his eyes at both of their teasing comments. “Alright, alright, settle down.” he replied, a small smirk on his face. “I’ll ask her, but I can’t promise what her reaction will be.”
You responded firmly, steadfast in your refusal. "Absolutely not," you shook your head vehemently, your expression reflecting your firm rejection. "I'm already enduring the farce of pretending to like you, and there's no chance I'm subjecting myself to lunch with you, let alone two others who are practically copy and pastes of you!"
Heeseung let out an exaggerated sigh, feigning disappointment. “Aww, come on, you’re no fun.” he replied, a hint of amusement in his tone. “You’re gonna have to meet them eventually, so you may as well do it sooner rather than later.”
Heeseung watched as you began to protest and couldn’t help but smile to himself at your stubbornness. “Come on, it’s just lunch. I’m sure you can handle it.” he persuaded, taking a step closer to you.
You internally grappled with the idea. It's just three more months, you told yourself. Can I really endure him? With a reluctant sigh, you finally relented, "Fine, I suppose it won’t be too bad."
Heeseung hid a triumphant smirk as he heard you finally cave. “That’s my girl.” he teased, stepping forward again and gently lifting your chin with his index finger.
Your body involuntarily tensed up as the sound of his voice echoed in your mind. "That's my girl…" The phrase played on a loop, causing a ripple of unease to ripple through you as you trailed alongside Heeseung towards the table where his friends awaited.
Jake and Sunghoon, who were still sitting at the table, looked up as the two of you approached. Jake’s eyes widened with surprise as he actually saw you walking next to Heeseung, while Sunghoon simply raised an eyebrow skeptically, silently questioning if the sight was real.
Heeseung placed his hand on the small of your back as you approached the table, a smirk on his face. “y/n, meet Sunghoon and Jake. Sunghoon, Jake, y/n.” he said casually, pulling out a chair for you to sit.
Sunghoon and Jake could only stare up at you, still trying to process the fact that Heeseung’s supposed ‘girlfriend’ was actually here and sitting right in front of them. Jake’s mouth was hung open slightly and Sunghoon just silently studied your features.
Heeseung noticed the boys’ awestruck expressions and let out a low chuckle, pushing your chair in as you sat. “Boys, quit staring like that. You’re making her uncomfortable.” he teased, taking a seat next to you.
Heeseung's attempt at making it seem like he cared fell flat, met with your sharp retort. "It's alright, Heeseung," you bit back, irritation lacing your words. "Save your pity, I don't need it." The tension between you two was palpable, and it was undeniable to anyone observing the situation.
Heeseung let out a scoff at the sharpness in your tone, an annoyed smile on his face. He reached beneath the table and placed his hand on your thigh, squeezing it lightly, a silent warning for you to keep up the act.
Sunghoon and Jake noticed the subtle interaction between the two of you and exchanged a glance. Sunghoon’s eyes narrowed as he watched Heeseung’s hand rest on your thigh, while a smirk tugged at Jake’s lips.
“Are you sure this isn’t just some elaborate prank?” Sunghoon finally spoke up, his eyes still fixed on Heeseung’s hand on your thigh.
Heeseung chuckled in response, his hand squeezing your thigh once more in warning. “I can assure you, this is real.” he replied, his eyes challenging Sunghoon to question him further.
Jake’s smirk grew wider at Heeseung’s response and he leaned forward slightly. “But the real question is, how’d you manage to pull *her* of all people?” he asked, referring to you with a nod of his head.
"I'm not some toy you can toss around." Your words were sharp and biting, a steely edge to your voice as you fixed a defiant glare on Jake. "I have my own mind, my own thoughts and feelings. I'm not some plaything for you to manipulate."
Heeseung’s grip on your thigh tightened slightly in warning, but his smile never wavered. “Damn, you’re feisty. I like it.” he commented casually, a hint of amusement in his tone.
You internally seethed, feeling the weight of the situation settling upon you. Could you truly maintain this act for three months, with everyone watching? Yes, you'd harbored a secret crush on Heeseung before the whole fiasco with the vomiting video, and seeing him present a facade of affection towards you now only made you feel like gagging.
Sunghoon noticed the tension between the two of you yet again and chuckled quietly to himself, shaking his head. “I still don’t believe it.” he commented, the skepticism obvious in his tone.
Heeseung rolled his eyes in response to Sunghoon, his hand still resting on your thigh. “I already told you, it’s real. We’ve been seeing each other for a while now.” he replied, his gaze challenging Sunghoon to dispute his words.
“Sit here y/n,” Heeseung said, a commanding gesture. Heeseung patted his lap and motioned for you to take a seat on it. Seemingly unfazed by the fact that it was in the middle of the school day and they had an audience in the form of his friends.
Your eyes widened slightly at his direct instruction, your mind racing with thoughts of how ridiculous the situation was. Did he really expect you to just sit on his lap like it was normal?
Sunghoon and Jake, on the other hand, watched eagerly, expecting you to refuse the demeaning act.
Heeseung’s smirk grew wider as he saw your eyes widen, a silent challenge in them as he patted his lap once more. “Come on, it’s not that difficult. Just sit like the good girl you are.” he urged casually, as if it was completely normal for someone like you to sit in his lap.
Jake and Sunghoon couldn’t hold back their laughter any longer and broke into a fit of chuckles. “Yeah, come on, good girl.” Jake mocked, clearly enjoying seeing you squirm under Heeseung’s command.
You reluctantly rose to your feet, shooting Jake a withering glare before complying. You perched yourself awkwardly on Heeseung's lap, your expression a mixture of resignation and annoyance, silently praying that this moment would pass quickly.
Heeseung, however, didn't miss the silent pleading in your eyes. As soon as you sat down, he wrapped an arm around you and pulled you closer, his grip just a little tighter than was necessary.
Jake's chuckle turned into a genuine laugh as he saw the way Heeseung manhandled you into sitting on his lap. "Damn, she really is your good girl, huh?" he teased.
Heeseung shot Jake a warning glare, not appreciating his taunting tone. "Shut it." he replied, his voice stern. But a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he pulled you even closer, his hand resting on your hip.
Sunghoon, who had been quietly observant during the whole scene, rolled his eyes at Heeseung's display. "Possessive, much?" he muttered under his breath, but not quietly enough for you to miss the comment.
Heeseung's eyes narrowed at Sunghoon's snide remark, but he didn't respond. Instead, he slid his hand slightly higher up your thigh, his touch deliberate and possessive.
Before you could stand up, Heeseung's firm grip on your waist halted your movements. He issued a direct statement, "Let's skip class." Your eyes widened in disbelief, the words ringing in your ears. "Skip class?" you echoed, shocked at the audacity of his suggestion.
Heeseung just smirked in response, his demeanor unapologetic. "Yeah, skip class. I want to spend some time alone with my *girlfriend*." he retorted arrogantly, the word 'girlfriend' dripping with sarcasm.
Heeseung, surprised, suggested skipping class, and you admitted, "I've never done that before." The thought of ditching school alarmed you, as it was a departure from your usual disciplined routine.
Heeseung chuckled at your confession, a hint of amusement in his tone. "Never? Really?" he teased, his hand still resting on your thigh. "You're missing out, it's freeing. Come on, live a little."
With a sarcastic tone, you retorted, "And yet you act like a high school dropout," before reluctantly agreeing to skip class for the remainder of the day.
Heeseung rolled his eyes at your sarcastic remark but didn’t deny it. “Damn, you’re a smartass.” he chuckled, amused by your attitude. “I can’t wait to have you to myself for the rest of the day.”
He glanced over to Sunghoon and Jake, who were watching the interaction intently. "We're skipping the rest of the day. Don't try to stop us." he informed them, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Jake smirked and raised his hands in mock surrender. “Damn, you’re really getting serious. Go have your alone time with her.” he jeered, clearly enjoying seeing Heeseung so possessive over you.
Sunghoon just rolled his eyes, but wisely didn't comment on the situation. He just observed silently, his eyes flickering between you and Heeseung, studying your every move.
Heeseung just chuckled in response to Jake’s comment before turning his attention back to you. "Let's go." he said, gently squeezing your thigh before patting it, signaling for you to stand up.
You reluctantly obeyed, standing up from his lap and silently vowing to stay as far away from him as possible. Heeseung rose from his seat, grabbing his bag in the process, and made his way over to you. Without warning, he slung an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer to his side.
Jake and Sunghoon chuckled again at his possessive gesture, clearly enjoying the show. “You two lovebirds have fun.” Jake called out with a smirk.
Heeseung just rolled his eyes at Jake’s comment and led you towards the exit, his arm still firmly around your shoulders. As you both left the cafeteria, he pulled you a little closer and whispered in your ear, “Don’t you dare try to run off on me.”
You gritted your teeth at his warning but didn’t respond, knowing that it would only lead to more trouble. You allowed him to guide you out of the school building, your thoughts racing with a million different escape plans.
Once you both were outside, Heeseung turned to you, a smirk on his face. “Now, I have a proposal for you. We have several options for how to spend the rest of the day, but I’ll let you choose.”
He paused for a moment, studying you silently, before continuing. “We can go get some food, maybe do a little shopping, or…” he trailed off, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. “We can do whatever you want. But on one condition.”
You raised an eyebrow, silently bracing yourself for whatever condition he was about to set. “What is it?” you asked, trying to keep your voice steady.
He chuckled at your cautious tone before stepping closer, his hand moving to rest on your hip. “All I want is your undivided attention. No trying to run away or ignoring me. You’ll have to stick with me for the rest of the day and do whatever I say.” he replied, his voice dripping with authority.
You agreed, albeit hesitantly, with a slow nod. "Alright, I suppose I can do that..." you murmured, before changing the subject. "Speaking of which, when are we supposed to meet your parents? This whole fake dating charade is meant to convince them that you're in a relationship, right?"
Heeseung chuckled and nodded at your question. "Yeah, you're right. We'll have to convince my parents at some point. But don’t worry, we have some time before that. They’re away on a business trip right now, so we don’t need to worry about them just yet."
Surprise washed over you at Heeseung's revelation. "Business trip?!" you exclaimed. "Then why are we going through the motions of being all lovey-dovey if your parents are out of town for business?"
Heeseung smirked at your outburst before answering your question. "Because, my dear fake girlfriend, it's better to start early." he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "We can’t just suddenly be all lovey-dovey once they come back. We need to make it believable."
Internalized frustration simmered within you as you emitted a sigh of resignation. "I just want to go home," you confessed, your weariness evident in your exhausted tone.
Heeseung chuckled, clearly amused by your predicament. "Ah-ah, no going home. You agreed to spend the rest of the day with me, remember?" he reminded you, his hand gripping your hip a little tighter.
A mumbled invitation escaped your lips, "You can come over, I suppose..." Though your words were delivered indifferently, a hint of reluctance crept into your tone.
Heeseung raised an eyebrow at the half-hearted invitation, a smirk plastered on his face. "Oh? You're actually letting me come over? I almost feel special." he teased, a hint of mockery in his voice.
He took a small step closer to you, his grip on your hip still firm. "But I get to decide what we do at your place, got it? No arguments, no complaints. You'll be a good girl and do as I say." he told you, his tone leaving no room for debate.
Heeseung’s smirk only grew wider as he saw the resignation etched on your face. He knew you didn’t want him anywhere near your home, but you didn’t have a choice. "Great, then it’s decided. We’re going to your place." he stated before grabbing your hand and pulling you along.
As you guys walked to your home, Heeseung occasionally glanced over at you. Your expression was a mixture of resignation and annoyance, and he couldn’t help but find it amusing. He found it hilariously ironic that the person he had always hated was now stuck with him for the rest of the day.
Once they arrived at your house, Heeseung immediately made himself at home. He kicked off his shoes and made his way to the living room, flopping down on the couch with a sense of entitlement. He patted the spot next to him, signaling for you to join him.
Annoyance flickered across your face as you observed his lackadaisical approach to removing his shoes. Irritated, you placed his shoes neatly by the entrance before proceeding to take off your own.
Heeseung had been watching you as you took off your shoes, and he couldn’t help but chuckle at your particularity. “Ever the neat freak, huh?” he teased, a smirk on his face.
He patted the spot next to him again, his smirk never faltering. “Come on, sit down. I don’t bite.” he quipped, clearly enjoying seeing you out of your comfort zone.
You hesitantly made your way towards the couch and sat down next to him, making sure to keep a respectable distance. Heeseung just chuckled at your attempt to maintain space and grabbed your arm, pulling you closer until you were flush against his side.
"Ah-ah, no escaping from me now." he teased, his arm wrapped around your shoulders, trapping you against him. He leaned back against the couch, clearly satisfied with your discomfort.
"Now, since we have a few hours to kill, I have a few ideas on how we can spend our time." he said, his hand idly stroking your shoulder.
Frustration crept into your voice as you snapped at him, your cheeks tinged with red. "Enough, already!" you exclaimed. "There's no one around; you don't need to keep up the act."
Heeseung just chuckled at your outburst, his smirk growing wider. "Ah, but where's the fun in that?" he taunted, his hand moving up to gently caress your cheek. "Besides, I like seeing you all flustered and uncomfortable."
He leaned closer, his breath fanning against your ear. "And who knows, maybe I just enjoy having you this close to me." he teased, his tone low and sultry.
His hand moved from your cheek to your hair, gently twirling a strand between his fingers. "You know, you're actually quite cute when you're all annoyed like this." he whispered, his voice laced with amusement.
He sat back against the couch, pulling you with him so you were practically laying on his chest. "But don't worry, we have the whole day to spend together. We'll have plenty of opportunities for me to drive you crazy."
Heeseung's hand continued to caress your hair, his touch strangely soothing. For a moment, he seemed almost gentle, his arrogance temporarily replaced by this unexpected tenderness.
But the moment was short-lived as his smirk returned, his voice dripping with arrogance again. "So, how about we watch a movie or something? I’m sure there's something on TV that'll keep us entertained for a bit."
He reached for the remote and flicked through the channels, eventually landing on a romantic comedy. He glanced down at you with a smirk. "King the land sounds good huh?."
As the movie played, Heeseung's hand never left your hair. He continued to absently toy with the strands, his attention half on the movie and half on teasing you.
Every now and then, he would drop a sarcastic comment about the movie, or make a snide remark about how the couple on screen reminded him of you and him. His touch remained light and almost comforting, a stark contrast to his usual obnoxious demeanor.
A mischievous smirk tugged at the corners of Heeseung's lips as he observed a scene playing out on the TV. "You know," he remarked, a hint of humor in his voice, "that actress kinda looks like you."
He glanced down at you, his hand still lazily caressing your hair. "Don’t worry, you're much cuter than her." he teased, a smirk still playing on his lips.
The situation was becoming unbearable. You reached your limit; you couldn't continue pretending to love him and enduring his touch. Frustration boiled over, and you abruptly stood up, your emotions taking control.
Heeseung's smirk faltered for a moment as you suddenly stood up. He hadn't expected such a sudden outburst from you. He leaned back on the couch, his head tilted to the side as he regarded you with intrigue.
The words erupted from you, a mix of anger and resignation. "I can't do this anymore!" you exclaimed, your hands clenching into tight fists as frustration surged through you. "The deal's off. It's over."
Heeseung's amused expression faded, replaced by a brief flicker of surprise. He had not expected you to concede so easily. He sat up on the couch, his eyes never leaving your face as he studied you silently.
Heeseung's surprise quickly turned into a smug grin, his arrogance fully returning. He stood up from the couch, casually making his way towards you. "Oh, come on now. You’re just giving up so easily? Where's the fight in you?”
Your true feelings finally burst forth, the pent-up emotions overflowing. "I just can't keep up this act anymore!" you exclaimed, your voice tinged with frustration. "Spending the entire day pretending that I don't loathe every second of being around you... it's too much!"
Heeseung chuckled, his arms now crossed lazily across his chest as he leaned back on the couch. "Loathe every second, huh?" he remarked, his voice dripping with smugness. "I can't say I'm surprised, considering how much you've always hated me."
A sarcastic scoff escaped your lips as you crossed your arms, a defiant look in your eyes. "Please, enlighten me, Heeseung," you retorted, your voice laced with irritation. "Why do you think I despise you so deeply?"
Heeseung's smirk widened as he reveled in your irritation. He chuckled softly before responding, his voice dripping with nonchalance. "Oh, I don't know, maybe because I uploaded that embarrassing video of you puking your brains out at that frat party back in our freshman year."
"That's exactly what I want to know!" you shot back, your anger and hurt seething beneath the surface. "What made you humiliate me that day? What prompted you to upload that video for everyone to see?"
Heeseung shrugged, his expression unrepentant. "It was just a silly prank, that’s all." he replied nonchalantly. "I didn’t think you’d take it so personally."
A bitter laugh escaped your lips, and you stepped back, creating a physical distance between you and him. "Wow," you said, shaking your head in disbelief. "You really are a heartless jerk."
Heeseung’s smirk didn’t waver, and he took a step closer to you. "Oh c’mon, it’s not like it was the end of the world." he taunted. "Besides, it was pretty funny to see you all green-faced and puking your guts out.
A firm demand left your lips as you gestured towards the front door. "Get out," you directed, your tone leaving no room for argument.
Heeseung’s smirk faltered for a moment, his eyes narrowing at your firmness. He paused for a moment, his gaze locked on you, before a taunting smirk returned to his lips. "And what if I don’t want to?" he challenged, taking another step towards you.
“Then I'll call the cops and accuse you of harassing me!" Your eyes narrowed, your anger and determination evident.
Heeseung chuckled, his arms still crossed, not intimidated in the slightest. "And what makes you think anyone would believe you?" he countered, a hint of smugness in his voice.
Frustration and exhaustion consumed you, pushing you to the edge. "I'm done," you murmured, your voice filled with weariness as you retreated to your bedroom.
Heeseung's smirk faded as you retreated to your bedroom, leaving him standing alone in the living room. He watched the door close behind you, a flicker of something inexplicable crossing his face before he quickly masked it with his usual arrogance.
He stood there for a few moments, the silence deafening. He didn't know what to do next. He had expected you to cave in, to give him what he wanted. But he hadn't expected you to stand up to him, to outright kick him out. The look in your eyes had been different, more vulnerable, almost... hurt.
He gritted his teeth, his mind whirling with a mix of irritation and something else he couldn’t quite identify. He was not used to people not giving him what he wanted, and he hated that you had just stood up to him like that.
He considered knocking on your bedroom door, to go in there and confront you, to demand an explanation for your behavior. But something held him back. Maybe it was the memory of the hurt look in your eyes, or maybe it was his own ego refusing to stoop down to that level.
He took a deep breath, trying to calm the inexplicable turmoil within him. He glanced around the living room for a moment, realizing that there wasn't anything else for him to do here. After a few moments of internal debate, he reluctantly made his way to the front door and let himself out.
The next few days were tense and awkward, as both of you avoided each other in the hallways and classes. The only interactions you had were brief glances filled with silent anger and resentment.
Heeseung's usual air of arrogance was even more pronounced, and he made no effort to hide his irritation whenever you happened to be in proximity to each other
Heeseung, leaning against a locker with a scowl on his face, is approached by Sunghoon and Jake as they walk up to him.
"Hey, what’s with the sour face?" Jake asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
Heeseung just grumbled and rolled his eyes, clearly not in the mood to talk.
“Did you and y/n break up or something?” Sunghoon asked, looking at you talk to a couple of your friends from far away.
Heeseung’s scowl deepened as he watched you interacting with your friends.
"Yeah, something like that," he muttered, his tone laced with irritation.
Sunghoon and Jake exchanged surprised glances after hearing Heeseung's words. They hadn’t expected that.
"Wait, seriously? You and y/n?" Sunghoon questioned, sounding skeptical.
Heeseung's jaw tightened as he remembered the incident that had started all of this. It was that stupid party three years ago that had caused him to upload that stupid video, and now it was coming back to bite him in the ass.
"Yeah, we were supposed to be fake dating, but she just called it off."
Jake and Sunghoon looked surprised again, eyebrows raised in surprise.
"Why did she call it off?" Jake inquired, curiosity piqued.
Heeseung grunted, his irritation resurfacing. "She said she couldn’t keep up the act any longer and that she despised me too much."
Sunghoon and Jake exchange surprised glances again.
"Damn," Sunghoon muttered. "I didn't know she hated you *that* much."
Jake chimed in, his tone serious. "I think you should apologize, dude," he stated bluntly. "What you did to her was messed up."
Heeseung rolled his eyes, his usual cockiness returning. "Why the hell would I apologize? She should be thanking me; her popularity skyrocketed after that whole puking incident blew up on social media."
"Are you kidding?" Jake retorted, his tone laced with disbelief. "You uploaded a video of her puking her guts out for the whole school to see, and you think she should thank you? Seriously?"
Heeseung shrugged nonchalantly, his expression unrepentant. "Hey, it’s not my fault if she can’t handle a little embarrassment. Besides, we were both drunk that night. She was drinking just as much as I was, if not more."
Sunghoon shook his head, disappointment evident in his eyes. "Man, you’ve really got some messed up ideas about what constitutes a ‘prank.’ You humiliated her, Heeseung. That’s not something you do to someone you care about, even if it’s fake dating. You need to apologize to her and make things right."
Heeseung let out an exasperated sigh, his irritation building. "First of all, I don’t care about her one bit. And second, why do I have to apologize when it was her own stupidity that got her into that situation in the first place? She’s the one who downed all those shots and ended up puking. Not my fault she can’t handle her alcohol.”
"Dude, that's completely irrelevant," Jake interjected, his voice firm. "It doesn’t matter how much she drank or how she ended up puking. What matters is that you deliberately chose to film her and upload it online, without her consent or knowledge, for hundreds of people to see. That’s a shitty thing to do, no matter how you spin it."
Heeseung let out another annoyed sigh as he looked at the disapproving faces of Sunghoon and Jake. He knew they were right, but he didn't want to admit it.
"Fine," he grumbled, his tone reluctant. "I’ll apologize. But I’m not going to enjoy it, and I’m not going to mean it."
Sunghoon and Jake nodded, but their expressions remained skeptical. They knew better than to get their hopes up.
"Good luck," Jake said, a slight hint of sarcasm in his tone.
Heeseung shot him a glare but didn’t respond. He grumbled under his breath and walked away, making his way towards where he knew you would be.
He found you with a small group of friends, chatting and laughing. You hadn’t noticed him approaching yet, and for a moment, he paused, watching you from a distance. There was something about the way you smiled and laughed that tugged at some unknown part of him, but he quickly shook it off, reminding himself that he didn’t care about you.
He took a deep breath, mustering up his usual arrogant facade, and took a step forward, making his presence known. He cleared his throat, catching your attention.
You and your friends turned to look at him, your expression immediately turning cold the moment you saw him. You tried to suppress the anger and hurt that bubbled up inside you every time you laid eyes on him.
Heeseung’s heart clenched at the look on your face, but he quickly masked it with his usual cocky smirk. He stepped forward, his eyes locking onto yours.
“Hey, can we talk,” he began, his tone nonchalant, betraying none of the conflict within him.
You and your friends exchanged wary glances. It was unusual for Heeseung to ask to talk to you, especially in front of an audience. You felt an uneasy feeling settle in your stomach, but you couldn’t deny your curiosity. You nodded, reluctantly stepping away from your friends to talk to him.
Once you were a few steps away from your friends, far enough for them not to overhear the conversation, Heeseung spoke again. His voice had a hint of strain in it, as if he was forcing himself to speak.
"I need to talk to you about something," he said, his tone serious for once.
There was no room for discussion as you made your stance clear. "If you think you can just waltz up and apologize, forget it," you stated firmly. "I don't want to hear it."
Heeseung’s expression faltered for a moment, momentarily taken aback by your firmness. He hadn’t expected you to be this adamant, but he quickly recovered and masked his surprise with his usual haughty demeanor.
"Oh really," he replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "You’re just going to reject my apology without even hearing me out?"
Your eyes rolled in annoyance. "You've got thirty seconds. That's all you get," you conceded, reluctantly granting him a brief opportunity to speak.
Heeseung’s eyes widened slightly at your ultimatum. He didn’t expect you to give him a chance to speak, but he wasn’t going to waste it. He took a step closer to you, his face suddenly serious as he looked into your eyes.
Without warning, Heeseung reached forward and grabbed your face, his hands cupping your cheeks as he pressed his lips firmly against yours in a sudden, unexpected kiss.
Your eyes widened in surprise as he kissed you, the suddenness of his actions catching you off guard. Your body tensed involuntarily, the shock of the kiss coursing through your body. But as much as you despised him and his arrogance, your heart couldn’t help but skip a beat at the feel of his lips against yours.
A few students around them let out soft gasps and coos as they noticed the unexpected kiss. It was quite the sight to behold, especially considering the tension between the two of you that had been simmering for years.
Heeseung ignored the reactions of the people around them, his focus solely on you. When he finally pulled away, his eyes searched your face, trying to gauge your reaction.
You were still in shocked state and speechless, your mind still reeling from the unexpected kiss. Your chest rose and fell rapidly as you tried to catch your breath, your gaze firmly fixed on his face.
"Heeseung," you began, your voice barely above a whisper. "What the hell was that?"
Heeseung let out a sigh, his hands dropping from your cheeks. He took a step back, giving you some space.
"It was my way of apologizing," he replied, his voice low. His gaze flicked over your face, watching your expression carefully. "And my way of making you listen to me for more than 30 seconds."
Your brows furrowed, your shock quickly turning into irritation. "Is that your idea of an apology?" you questioned, your voice laced with disbelief. "Kissing me without any warning or consent?"
Heeseung noticed the slight flush on your cheeks and the way your breath hitched briefly during the kiss. Your reaction didn’t go unnoticed by him, and a hint of a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.
"You seemed to have enjoyed it, and you didn’t pull back,” he pointed out, a slight edge in his voice.
You blushed, feeling embarrassed that he had noticed your slight response to his unexpected kiss. You quickly composed yourself, trying to maintain a stern expression.
"That doesn’t matter," you retorted, your tone firm. "You can’t just kiss someone without their consent and call it an apology."
Heeseung watched as you tried to mask your reaction to the kiss, amused by your obvious effort. He took a step closer to you, his gaze locking onto yours.
"Oh really? Well then, should I give you another one?" he teased, his voice low and slightly seductive.
Your heart skipped a beat at his words, and you found yourself unable to resist as you whispered a soft, almost reluctant, “Yes.”
A sly smirk tugged at Heeseung’s lips at your response, and he didn’t hesitate to step closer to you. His hands came up to cup your face again, his palms warm and firm against your skin.
Without another word, he leaned in and captured your lips in another kiss. Despite the initial surprise, your body responded instantly, and after a moment’s hesitation, you melted into the kiss, your lips moving against his in a surprising display of reluctant want.
“Ew-“ Jake and Sunghoon watched with a mix of shock and confusion as you abruptly ended the kiss as they appeared out of nowhere. "I thought you were supposed to apologize, not make out!" Jake exclaimed incredulously.
Heeseung pulled back, his expression a mixture of irritation and slight embarrassment at being caught by Jake and Sunghoon. He shot them a glare, annoyed at their interruption.
"We were in the middle of something," he retorted, his tone sharp.
Jake chuckled, a smirk on his face. "Yeah, we could see that," he commented, clearly amused by the situation.
Sunghoon, on the other hand, looked between you and Heeseung with a slight frown. "So, did he apologize or not?" he asked.
Heeseung let out an exasperated sigh, his irritation resurfacing. "I was trying to," he grumbled. "And then the situation got a bit... distracted."
Jake let out a snort of laughter as he glanced at you, your cheeks still tinged with color from the unexpected kiss.
Heeseung leaned down, his breath warm against your ear as he spoke in a low tone, ensuring his words were for your ears only.
"We’re not done yet," he murmured, a hint of a smirk on his lips.
Your face flushed with embarrassment as the new nickname slipped from your lips, a mix of surprise and reluctant endearment. "Stop it, Hee..." you protested, shoving him away gently.
Heeseung chuckled lowly at your reaction, his smirk only widening as he saw the blush on your cheeks. The nickname slipped out so naturally from your lips, and he couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of satisfaction.
"Nope, not a chance," he replied, his tone filled with amusement. "I like the sound of it. You’re stuck with it now."
Over the next few days, the school was abuzz with the talk of you and Heeseung's unexpected public display of affection. The kiss he had given you in front of everyone was the talk of the school, and his friends constantly teased him about it.
One evening, Heeseung couldn’t shake the feeling that you were avoiding him. After not seeing you in the halls after classes, he decided to look for you.
He searched the school and finally found you sitting by yourself in a secluded rooftop area, looking out into the darkening sky. Heeseung approached, footsteps soft against the gravel, and stood a few feet away from you.
"You’ve been avoiding me," he stated, his tone tinged with a hint of annoyance. He leaned against the fence, crossing his arms as he observed you from the corner of his eye.
You turned your head to look at him, your expression neutral. "So what if I have been?" you replied, your voice cool and even.
You turned your head to look at him, your expression neutral. "So what if I have been?" you replied, your voice cool and even.
Heeseung’s jaw tightened slightly at your nonchalant response. He hadn’t expected such an indifferent reaction from you, and it irritated him even more. He pushed off the fence and took a few steps towards you.
"Why are you avoiding me? Because of what I did?" he asked, his voice sharp. He was standing only a few feet away from you now, his eyes locked onto your face, trying to decipher your expression.
Frustration and hurt bubbled up within you, your voice tinged with pain. "After that kiss," you spoke, your words thick with emotion, "I actually believed that you might have feelings for me. But I see now that it's just another game to you, isn't it?"
Heeseung’s jaw tensed as you spoke, your raw emotional response catching him slightly off guard. He hadn’t expected you to believe that he had feelings for you, especially after all the years of animosity between you.
"It’s not a game," he managed to grind out, his voice laced with a hint of defensiveness.
He took a step closer to you, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. "The kiss was genuine," he admitted, his gaze fixed on your face. "I didn’t do it just for fun or as part of some game."
He took another step closer, the gap between you now small. He reached out, his hand gently lifting your chin, tilting your face up to look at him.
"It just happened," he said, his voice softer now. "I wasn’t planning on it, but I couldn’t help myself."
He studied your face, looking for any sign of your reaction. He was struggling to understand why he had acted so impulsively, why he'd wanted to kiss you so badly.
"You just... you looked so captivating in that moment," he mumbled, his voice low.
His hand was still under your chin, his thumb gently brushing against your skin. He realized how close he was to you now, his heart racing for some inexplicable reason.
"I just did it, without thinking," he murmured, his eyes intently fixed on yours. "And I don’t regret it."
Your voice trembled with vulnerability as you sought confirmation. "You don't...?” You whispered, desperate for reassurance, the words hanging heavily in the air.
Heeseung’s grip on your chin tightened slightly as he responded, his voice firm and unwavering.
"No," he said, his tone resolute. "I don’t regret it at all. It felt right."
He took another step closer, his body almost touching yours now. His eyes searched your face, his gaze intent.
"It felt right," he repeated, his voice softer now. His hand slowly slid from your chin down to your cheek, and he cupped your face gently, as if he was afraid you’d pull away.
Heeseung’s gaze held a hint of something—an emotion that you couldn’t quite place as he looked at you. He was still holding your face tenderly in his hand.
"Do you have plans tonight?" he asked, his voice soft. "I have some studying to do. Want to join me?"
A laugh threatened to slip from your lips at the surprising invitation. "You, studying? That's a first," you teased, your words filled with disbelief.
Heeseung rolled his eyes, a small smirk playing on his lips. He knew that he wasn’t exactly known for his diligent study habits, but he had some studying he needed to catch up on.
"Oh, shut up. I do study sometimes." he retorted, his tone light.
Heeseung's smirk widened as he picked up on your entendre, his eyes sparkling with mischief. He took a step closer, his body now nearly pressed against yours.
"Trust me, you'll enjoy this kind of studying," he murmured, his voice low.
With that, Heeseung leaned closer, his lips hovering only inches from yours. He could feel the heat radiating off your body, and his pulse quickened.
He didn’t know what had gotten into him, but all he knew was that he wanted to be close to you, to feel your touch, to hear your voice. And right now, studying seemed like the perfect excuse to get what he wanted.
The nickname slipped from your lips once again, your voice tinted with unexpected familiarity. "Not right now, Hee," you echoed, the term of endearment rolling off your tongue almost effortlessly.
Heeseung's chest tightened at the sound of the nickname on your lips. It was just a slip up, a moment of weakness, but it sent a wave of something through him that he couldn’t explain.
He pushed closer, his body pressed against yours now. His hand moved from your face to your waist, holding you firmly against him.
"I think we should skip the studying," he murmured, his voice low. "I have something else in mind."
Heeseung pulled out his phone and typed something quickly into it before looking back up at you.
"Texted you my address," he said, his voice cool and casual. He took another step back before giving you a brief smirk. "Don’t be late."
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving you standing there with your heart racing a little faster than before.
You stood there momentarily surprised, watching as Heeseung sauntered away. Your mind was still spinning from his sudden invitation, the unexpected nickname still lingering on your lips.
Without hesitating any longer, you fished out your phone from your pocket and saw the notification from Heeseung—his address. A part of you knew what he had in mind, and you couldn’t deny the thrill that ran through you at the thought.
As you rode the bus to Heeseung’s place, your mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. It still felt unreal, the fact that you were on your way to your sworn enemy's home with who knows what kind of intentions.
The butterflies in your stomach were becoming more prominent, and you took deep breaths to still your heart. It was only a study session, nothing more. At least, it’s what you told yourself.
After a few more minutes, the bus came to a stop and you stepped off, looking around to make sure you were in the right place. You spotted Heeseung’s apartment building up ahead, and quickened your steps.
As you approached the door to his unit, you hesitated for a split second before knocking. The seconds ticked by, your heart rate increasing with each passing moment. Finally, the door opened, revealing Heeseung in a casual hoodie and sweatpants.
His gaze was intense, his eyes roaming over your figure in a way that made you feel even more flustered. He stepped aside wordlessly to let you in, and you walked past him into the apartment.
The air felt thick with tension, and you couldn’t help but feel a thrill of excitement mixed with nerves as you stood in his space, wondering what the night would bring.
His gaze sharpened as he looked you up and down, his eyes lingering on your figure with an intensity that made your heart race.
“You're here,” he said as he closed the door behind you and locks it, the sound echoing in the silence of the mansion.
As soon as the door was locked, Heeseung turned to face you, his eyes dark with a fierce hunger. Without a word, he closed the distance between you, his hand reaching out to grab the back of your neck and pulled you in for a forceful kiss.
His other arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you even closer as he deepened the kiss, his tongue pushing past your lips to claim your mouth entirely. He walked you backwards until your back hit the wall, pinning you there with his body.
"Fucking yell y/n,” he muttered, hooking his fingers in your waistband, tearing your pants down roughly as he kicked them aside along with your shoes.
He stepped back briefly to take in your half-naked form, his chest heaving. He then reached up to remove his own hoodie, revealing his chiseled torso.
His heart was pounding in his chest, his breath coming out in ragged gasps. The sight of you standing there, nearly naked, drove him wild. He closes the distance again, his calloused hands running rough against your skin.
“Heeseung, I-“ His movements suddenly still as your words reach his ears.
His eyes met yours intensely, a mix of emotion crossing his features - desire, possessiveness, and something more tender he didn’t want to acknowledge.
"Shut up," he whispered against your ear, his breath hot and heavy "Just..."
He hooked his arms under your thighs and lifts you up against the wall, wrapping your legs around his waist. He stepped out of his sweatpants, kicking them aside, leaving him in just his boxers.
Heeseung then pinned you against the wall, his hips pressing against yours intimately. You could feel his hard member poking at your thigh. "Tell me to stop," he whispered against your neck, his teeth nipping at your sensitive skin. "Say the words..." His hands trailed up your sides, his thumbs brushing against your breasts, making you let out a quiet gasp.
His breath catches at the sound of your desperate whimpers, feeling your nails digging into his back.
"Please..." you moaned, arching against him. "Heeseung... I can't..." His self-control is barely hanging by a thread as he listened to your pleading.
His control finally snapped at your pleading, and he captured your mouth in a brutal kiss, one hand tangling in your hair while the other slides between your legs. "Is this what you want?" he growled against your lips, touching you intimately through your underwear.
He broke away from your mouth just long enough to pull down your bra, exposing your breasts. His head dipped down, capturing one taut nipple in his mouth, swirling his tongue around it while his hand continued its steady rhythm between your legs.
"Mmh, so good... Heeseung, please... more... " You gasped out, your head falling back against the wall as he sucked on your sensitive nipple, your hips bucking against his hand. "Inside... I need you inside..."
His chuckled is dark and husky as he hooked his fingers in your underwear, slowly dragging it down your legs. He kneeled down, spreading your thighs over his shoulders. "Lift up," he ordered, his breath hot against your most intimate area. “Wanna taste you princess..."
Heeseung pulled your hips closer, his tongue finding your center. He licked slowly, deliberately, savoring your sweet taste. "You're so wet for me..." he groaned, adding pressure, his tongue swirling around your sensitive bud. "Tell me... tell me how much you want it..."
He looked up at you with hooded eyes, maintaining eye contact as he continued his teasing movements with his tongue "Tell me..." he says, his voice is low and commanding "Tell me how bad you need my cock..."
He pushed one finger inside you, then another "This what you want?"
"Please... Heeseung, yes... I need you... your cock..." You whimpered, your hips involuntarily pressing against his fingers "I'm so close... please..." You're completely lost in pleasure, no longer caring about anything but his touch "Touch me..."
He removed his fingers, standing up and quickly unbuckling his belt. "Shut up and spread your legs." He demanded, pulling out his hard, thick cock. "I'm gonna fuck you so hard you won't be able to walk straight."
He positioned himself between your spread thighs, rubbing his thick head against your soaked folds teasingly "Heeseung... Please… want you to fill me up!”
He growled at the sound of his name falling from your lips in desperation, finally thrusting inside you without warning.
He filled you completely, stretching you out as he buried himself inside you. He wrapped his arms around your thighs, pulling your legs up against his chest as he pounded into you, hitting deep spots that made you scream and claw at his arms "Heeseung! To- to big!"
Shut up,” he hissed, his face a mask of concentration as he continued to pound into you, his hips slapping loudly against yours.
He wrapped his arms around your legs, pulling them over his shoulders, getting impossibly deeper as he continued to stretch you out.
He paused his thrusts, his face twisted in a cruel grin as he reached down and forced your mouth open.
"Take it." He spat into your mouth, the bitter taste of saliva mixing with his own saliva as he held your head in place, making sure you swallowed it. He groaned at the sight, brushing his fingers over your cheek. “Such a good girl for me, yeah?”
You nodded your head in response, bucking your hips up, but he doesn’t move. “You didn’t answer my question princess.”
“I-I’m a good girl for you..” you muttered embarrassingly as Heeseung chuckled at your flustered expression.
He wiped his thumb across your lips, smearing his saliva mixed with yours "Taste good? Now open your legs wider. I'm not done with you yet,” He let out a low groan, thrusting deeper and harder, his body slapping against yours with force "You feel that?"
"Hnnngh... f-fuck... it's so deep..." You whined, your voice strained and high-pitched as he hits your deepest spots with every thrust. Your legs shook from the intensity, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes from the overwhelming pleasure and slight pain.
He smirked darkly at your whimpers, continuing to pound into you mercilessly "You're shaking already? I haven't even gotten started yet..." he teased, reaching up and pinches one of your nipples, twisting it slightly.
His free hand wrapped around your throat, squeezing tightly as he continued to thrust into you. "You like it rough, don't you?" He hummed, his face inches from yours. His grip on your throat tightened, cutting off your air supply as he fucks you harder and deeper.
"Heeseung... mmph..!" you responded, too cock hungry to think straight. His hand tightened around your throat, cutting off most of your air as he continues to pound into you forcefully. "You're almost there, aren't you? Those pretty eyes are rolling back..." his voice dropped to a threatening whisper.
His free hand reached down between your legs, his fingers finding your clit and rubbing it viciously as he continues to choke you. He looks into your bulging eyes, enjoying the sight of you struggling to breathe. "Look at me while I strangle you. You so good under me y/n…”
"Look at me... yeah... that's it...” he groaned, rubbing your clit faster while maintaining his grip on your throat, making sure your orgasm builds quickly "Cum for me... let me feel you squeeze my cock..." He groaned, his voice both demanding and seductive.
Aghh... c-can't... breathe..." You managed to choke out between gasps, your vision starting to blur at the edges. His fingers on your clit were driving you crazy, pushing you closer and closer to the edge even as he cuts off your air supply. "Hnngh..."
Heeseung smirked at your breathless whimpers "Just give up... let go..." he said, his voice turning husky. "Cum all over my cock while I choke you... show me how much you want it..." His fingers sped up on your clit, putting more pressure.
His hand on your throat tightened even more, his fingers digging into your neck as he continued to rub your swollen, sensitive bud furiously. "You're getting close, aren't you?” he chuckled, your legs shaking as your nails dig into his back.
He finally relents, releasing his grip on your throat and letting you gasped for air as his other hand keeps rubbing your clit at a frantic pace. He leaned down to press his lips against yours, muffling your screams as he forced his tongue into your mouth, swallowing your cries of ecstasy.
Finally, he broke the kiss just in time to watch your face contort in pleasure as you hit your climax, his fingers still working your clit. "There we go... cum all over my cock like a good girl..." He praised deeply, continuing his thrusts as your inner walls clamped down on him.
Youd body shook uncontrollably as waves of pleasure washed over you, your eyes rolling back as you let out a silent scream. "Heeseung! Feels so good...!" You clawed at his back desperately, your nails digging deep into his skin as you rode out your intense orgasm.
He chuckled darkly, his fingers slowly pulling out of your hair and stroking your cheek tenderly as he continued to thrust in and out of you, drawing out your pleasure. "Shh, baby. You're gushing all over my lap. Look at me." He demanded softly.
You managed to open your eyes and look up at Heeseung, your face flushed and covered in sweat as you panted heavily, still feeling the aftershocks of your orgasm. "Hee-seung..." You whispered his name, your voice hoarse from screaming.
After pulling out, he coated his fingers with your mixed fluids and brought them to your lips. "Taste how good you feel wrapped around my cock..." He commanded softly, but firmly.
"Take it all..." He maintained eye contact as you obeyed, slowly sliding his fingers into your mouth.
"Such a good girl..." He praised softly, watching as you dutifully cleaned his fingers. He leaned down, capturing your mouth in a passionate kiss before pulling back. "So pretty..."
Heeseung studied your face closely, his expression unreadable. He was still coming down from the high of your encounter and was struggling to keep a poker face.
"Hey," he said finally, his voice low. "You're unusually quiet. Are you alright?"
You took in a deep breath, trying to steady yourself. "I'm fine," you replied, but you still found yourself unable to meet his gaze. The aftermath of what had just happened had caught up to you, and you were struggling to process all the emotions coursing through you. But you were not ready to deal with that just yet.
"Just tired," you mumbled, shifting to sit up to put your clothes on, your legs wobbly from earlier.
Heeseung watched as you attempted to stand on shaky legs, a small chuckle escaping his lips. "You sure you don't need a hand there, princess?" he teased, pushing himself off the wall and heading over to you.
He grabbed your shirt that lay discarded on the ground and knelt down in front of you. He gently lifted your arms and slipped the shirt over your head, his touch surprisingly gentle. His hands lingered on your hips as he helped you pull the fabric down over your body.
Heeseung's unexpected act of pulling you into a tight embrace caught you off guard. "What are you doing, Hee?" you asked, a hint of surprise in your voice.
He spoke softly, his head buried in the crook of your neck. "I realized I never gave you a proper apology," he murmured.
"I'm sorry, y/n." The genuineness in his voice was undeniable, his remorse palpable.
He pulled away slightly, his hands coming up to cup either side of your face. His eyes met yours and there was something different about his gaze, a vulnerability you'd never seen before. "I'm really sorry," he repeated, his thumbs gently stroking your cheeks.
You were taken aback by the earnestness in his eyes, and for the first time, you felt as though he was laying himself bare before you.
"I..." You didn't know how to respond. You had never expected to hear anything like this from Heeseung, let alone this level of vulnerability. "I... I accept your apology," you mumbled softly, still processing everything.
Heeseung's shoulders seemed to drop in relief at your accepting his apology. His hands slid down from your face to rest on your waist, pulling you closer to him again.
"That's a start," he said, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips. He leaned in, his forehead touching yours. "We've got a long way to go, you and I."

All Aboard
❄️❄️Midnight's DCA December Day 27❄️❄️
Once again, Pom, your brain is massive, this was a LOT of fun, i saw the words 'magic' and 'fae elements' and the pot started boiling over ashjadk, anywho, please enjoy!
Prompt: second request >:3c (but no pressure!!) I havent read all the other folks yet to see if there was a Polar Express/Train ride type oneshot. I feel like train conductor/surrealism vibes would be a delight, with holiday magic and spritely, fae elements sprinkled in. Maybe getting lost on to the destination--or the train getting stopped due to a snowstorm. (Very Nana, if you watched that anime haha) Perhaps, yn is in clear emotional distress bc of smth happening interpersonally leading up. Texting, phones, drama. Do they even want to go home…? … (Will they go back home? >:)) mweheh.)
Word Count: 2811
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
The train whistle blares loudly outside, starting to roll down the tracks. You watch out the window as the station begins to fade away, sighing as snow hits the pane every so often. You check you phone again when it buzzes, another message to add to the pile. Another half-hearted apology you're guessing.
You're about to look in detail when you stop, cursing yourself and shaking your head. You got on this train for that exact reason, to avoid having to speak to them. You weren't going to give in, you just, needed a break. To go somewhere, anywhere really.
Your ticket was for home, and the idea of being back in your apartment sounds better and better by the moment. You sink back in the seat again, already liking the sound of being back in your own bed with your own food and your own life. You never should have come here, should've listened to your friends, they'd been right all along.
You feel a headache coming on, either from the stress, or the exhaustion of crying so much. Or even, the nagging of your friends as they brag and say they told you so. Which, they did, but you didn't need to hear it again. At least you had a day or so. The trip back was long, requiring you to get a sleeper car, where most of your belongings resided currently, save for the book sitting beside you, along with your sketchbook.
You'd been wanting to do a bit of reading, or drawing, anything to take your mind off things, but after receiving that text you just didn't have the heart for it.
"Everything alright over here, friend?"
You glance up, seeing a well-dressed man standing to your right. He was tall, blond, and wore a sun-themed mask over his eyes, which are also covered with a white shade. His smile is warm, kind.
You straighten up a bit, feeling self-conscious all the sudden.  "Oh, yeah. Just fine. Sorry, do you need my ticket?"
"Yes please!"
You hand it over to him, and he punches it, promptly handing it back to you. "There you go! Is there anything else I can get for you? Perhaps a snack, or a drink?"
"No, I'm good, but thank you... Sorry, what's your name?"
The man bows slightly. "You may call me Sun. And you, friend?"
"Oh, my friends call me Nick/N." You smile.
Sun tilts his head, his smile seems, strained for a moment. Then—"Welcome aboard, then, Nick/N. We hope you enjoy the ride!" For good measure, he takes your hand, pressing his lips to the back of it for a moment before releasing you.
"T-thanks." You say, watching as he walks off, going over to where the other conductor stands.
You take note that he's wearing a moon mask, with red covering his eyes instead. They exchanged a few hushed words with each other, and when they look over to you, you avert your gaze again.
You didn't pay attention when you booked this train, just got on the first one you could, you wonder if it's themed in some way. It would make sense anyway, why else for the masks?
As you settle in for your ride, the conductors come by multiple times each to check on you. During this you find out the other is named 'Moon', which, pretty on the nose you'd say, but you have to guess it's all part of the act.
Regardless, you find them to be friendly, very chatty, almost too much so. They're constantly offering you something to eat or drink, and if you hadn't brought snacks you'd take them up on the offer. Even then, they try encouraging you to pick something from the train's menu.
"Surely you deserve something better than that, crumbling thing, Sunshine."
"Or something sweet to wash it down, maybe a glass of wine?"
You take another bite of your granola bar. "Nah, this is good enough for now. And I'm not much of a day drinker." You unscrew your water bottle lid, taking a sip. "Appreciate it though!"
"If you change your mind, simply let us know, Starlight."
That was another thing, the nicknames. At first, they used yours that you'd given, almost constantly addressing you in conversation. It was like they were waiting for something to happen. But when it didn't they'd switched to the celestial-themed ones instead.
It was all so, incredibly, interesting.
In the evening, you're sketching in your seat when your phone goes off again. You frown upon hearing it, looking out the window momentarily. It's dark, but you can make out that it's snowing incredibly hard now. You're surprised the train is still able to get through all this—
"What are you drawing, Sunbeam?"
You jump, finding the two of them are across from you. Sun leans over the back of the opposite seat, elbows resting on the top edge, while Moon lounges across the seat itself.
You feel embarrassed now. "Oh, nothing important." You don't want to admit that you're drawing them, that would be utterly humiliating.
You couldn't help it, despite their, overtly friendly behavior—to the point you'd grown slightly suspicious—you found the two to be alarmingly charming despite it all. There was an air about them that was enticing, drawing you in and making you ever curious.
Moon tsks. "Now, now. Don't leave us in suspense. I'm sure anything you create would be lovely."
"It's true, though maybe not as lovely as them, wouldn't you say?" Sun rests his head in his hand, small smirk on his lips.
Moon nods, waving his hand. "Not even a question, of course."
Your ears are burning at this point. And, compelled by their outward flirting you hold out your sketchbook, head ducked to maybe hide some of your awkwardness.
"Just take it already." You mumble. "And go easy on me, please. It's been awhile..."
Eager hands snatch up your book, and they bicker over who gets to hold it. You giggle at the exchange, and they finally settle on each holding one side as they flip through.
As they go, Sun whistles, and Moon hums in agreement, it only serves to fluster you more.
"You made all of these?" Moon asks.
You laugh. "Well yeah, most of those are from months ago. They're, okay, I guess."
"Okay? You have talent, Starshine!" Sun states, waving his hand to the page. "I've never seen a hu-anyone create like this. It's impressive."
You have to cover up your face then, it's on fire. "Please, stop. They're really not—"
"And you drew us?" Sun exclaims.
"They drew me better looking."
Sun huffs. "No, look how they got my jaw perfect!"
They delve into arguing again about who is sketched better and you just about can't take it anymore when your phone starts ringing.
All three of you snap your attention to the device.
When you see the caller ID, your heart fills with dread.
Instead of curling up from being flustered, you curl up with fear, groaning. "Why can't they take a hint..."
As the phone continues to ring, you get ready to pick it up from the seat, either to answer or to decline the call.
You don't get the chance, as Sun asks you a question. "Friend, is this your signature here?" He's pointing to a page of your sketchbook.
"I, yeah. It is." You don't know why you didn't hesitate with that answer, too stressed to think, currently.
You don't notice the shared look between the two, slight grins on their faces at this information.
Your phone is still ringing, so you finally grab it, debating on what to do.
"Do you want to talk to them?" Moon asks you.
You sigh, then laugh. "God no. Not at all. But..." You trail off, and shake your head. "Maybe I should hear them out. Even if I really don't want to deal with them right now."
Your thumb hovers over the answer button, ready to press it—
"Y/n. Don't answer the phone." Sun's words are firm, but there's still a softness to them, almost remorseful?
You don't know, because one moment your phone is in your hand, the next it's not. You... aren't sure why but, it's probably fine, right?
The rest of the evening proceeds like everything is normal. Neither of them calls you by your name again, sticking to their nicknames. You're not hungry, so you don't eat dinner despite their pestering about it not being good for you. And you retire to your bed after a late night filled with chatting. The two of them must have very little work to do as conductors, if they can spend so much time with a single passenger like you.
Speaking of, was the train always so empty, or had people just slowly been getting off without you noticing? You yawn, and as your head hits the pillow decide that you'll worry about it tomorrow. Besides, you should be home by the end of the morning anyhow.
When you wake up the next day, you notice that there's a distinct lack of movement happening. You must have stopped at a station. You stretch and hop out of bed, deciding that after the day you had yesterday, you deserve to walk around in your pajamas for a bit.
You go over to the dining car, incredibly hungry, and expecting people to be boarding. What you find is an empty car filled with piping hot food and—
"Is that a hot coco bar?" You ask to the open air, starting to salivate at the thought.
However, before you even consider food, you decide you need to figure out what's going on. Walking over to the window, you see that the snow is piled high all around the train, almost up to the window. You must have hit a drift in the night, meaning you're stuck until the can clear the tracks.
Normal people would be concerned about this information. But either because you don't care when you get home—as long as you're not there—or because you've developed a strange lack of care for most time related things, you don't mind in the slightest.
With a shrug, you go over and grab a plate and start piling it high, someone's got to eat it, right?
You also grab a large mug of hot chocolate, adding many marshmallows and tons of whipped cream. You sit down, ready to dig in, when you're spooked as you realize Moon is sitting across from you, chin resting in his hand with a smile.
"Good morning, Starlight. Sleep well?"
You nod. "Yeah. You sure know how to make an entrance, don't you?"
"We pride ourselves on it." Sun says with a chuckle, in the seat behind you, you realize.
Looking up, you see he's in a similar position to Moon, small smirk on his face as he observes you.
"Seems so. While you're both here, what's going on with the train?" You raise a piece of toast to your mouth. "Unless I'm wrong and you two aren't good at your job."
You take a bite, and have to sit up again, eyes wide. The bread is perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of butter. It tastes like heaven.
You're too caught up in taking another bite to catch what Sun says.
"Oh my god. This is the best toast I've ever had in my life." You finish devouring it, wiping your mouth and looking back up to him. "Sorry, can you repeat that?"
Sun chuckles, hands shifting to hold your face. "I said, we're snowed in. It will take some time for the tracks to be cleared. Potentially several days."
"Oh, really?" You reach down blindly for more food, and feel your plate be scooted closer to you. You thank Moon briefly and snatch up a piece of bacon, which also tastes divine. "Bummer."
This seems to surprise the masked man, eyebrows shooting up above the mask's edge. "You're not concerned?"
"Nah. To be honest, I don't have much of a place to go back to. A cold apartment in a shitty building on the wrong side of the city." You finish your bacon, grabbing another piece. "Not to mention how my friends are going to be getting on to me about how they were right and I was wrong and on and on and on and, man this food is delicious, like how do you guys have such a good cook for a train?"
Sun looks away from you, and sitting straight you see Moon's looking to him as well. You however, are too busy indulging your gluttony to care. Every single bite is amazing, like, the best breakfast you've ever had.
You're about to take a drink of your hot coco, when a hand grabs your wrist.
"Wait." Moon states, then sighs.
You raise an eyebrow, waiting.
He looks behind you to Sun, and glancing back you see he's frowning, but nods.
He comes around the seat, and sits across from you with Moon. After removing the coco from your hands, he clasps one of yours in both his own.
"We haven't been truthful with you, Sunshine. At least, I believe that's how your people say it." His grip tightens for a moment before relaxing. "It wasn't by accident that you boarded this train."
You furrow your brow. "Well, yeah, I bought the ticket."
"It wasn't the ticket you were supposed to. We, ensured you would board this train specifically." Moon states, sounding, ashamed.
Sun continues for him. "You see, we're not from your world. We come from somewhere else, somewhere long forgotten to most of your kind. Many of our own like to play tricks on you humans, for entertainment and such. We prefer to help."
"The train is designed to find those in need of it." Moon waves to the rest of the car. "The lost, the lonely, the hurting,"—he glances at you for a moment—"It gives them a place to heal, to learn, to change in some cases. Then, when they're ready, the return home, none the wiser to the time that's past or what's truly occurred."
You notice Sun's cheeks are tinged pink under the mask, up until now you don't think you've seen either of them be so bashful. "Though, we've been, 'keeping tabs' on you for some time. Besides the gloomy aura you had we found you to be—" He bites his cheek, and mutters his next words. "Very attractive."
"Getting you here became a bit of a game for us." Moon admits, also blushing now. "As was getting you to share your name, and eat our food. Most never stay on the train long enough to do so. Or at least, they don't think they do."
Sun finally looks back to you, hands still holding your own. "But we wanted to tell you before you took a drink, as that would, bind you to us. But not to the train! You can leave whenever you like, of course. But, you deserved to know our intentions, regardless of whether you would even consider feeling the same or not."
He releases you finally, folding his now fidgeting hands into his lap.
You take a moment to take everything in, reviewing in your head to make sure you understood everything they've told you.
Once you've determined that yes, this is actually happening, you speak.
"So if I drink this, I'll stay here... forever?" You point down to the cup, still steaming.
"You could still leave whenever you wish, but essentially yes—Oh my stars."
The two can only stare, mouths agape as you chug your hot coco in one go. When your finished you sigh, taking your napkin and dabbing your mouth.
"Man, that hit the spot. I'll be getting more of that later. Anywho,"—you start to dig in to the rest of your plate—"It might take me a bit, but which one of you wants dibs on first kiss? If that's your thing, that is."
"I-"
"Me." Moon blurts.
At this, Sun blusters, and you snicker to yourself as they begin to debate back and forth on the subject. You glance out the window at the snowy landscape, taking in how, enchanted it feels now that you fully understand the situation. It's certainly not what you expected to happen when you boarded this train, but you're certainly not complaining about the outcome.
Maybe you'll change your mind, and one day depart from this place and the two fae you've somehow acquired. But as of this moment, spending your days with two magic beings vying for your attention, a warm bed, good food, and helping others?
That's a pretty good deal to you.
Best Christmas present you've ever gotten, by a long shot.

Ik the cosplay event is the only funny light-hearted moment we got from this trio in the otherwise traumatizing first episode but (I woke up in the morning and suddenly this came to my mind) - Lu Guang cosplaying may be a metaphor for something else too, it may have another significance.
Even if I don't talk about the meta-narrative of RanXi chronicles, Lu Guang cosplaying itself is a kind of 'meta-performance' of life. He impersonates someone who he may want to be (being together with a safe and sound Cheng Xiaoshi) not who he actually is. He is the coser of his own existence which got lost in the repeated loop of history, he performs, he conforms to the pre-written script BUT he is trying to re-write the history too. Let's take a look at the lyrics of Flash by Gorilla Attack :
Hmm, I can't believe that you were here I know I can't do it There's no chance to rewrite Our story ended long ago Trrr The time is coming now Blank I wake up blushing my- Just a loop A bored 'n loop Should I do this now 'til the end? Into the story As just an extra You are the reason I live But you don't remember me? Oh, can I be with you? It feels like comedy Contemporary dance Please lock me up with too many tasks to do Let me lose them off completely Always looking away Flash me, flash me Gotta get the power to rewrite I just wanna deny, I just wanna rewrite, yeah Clash it, clash it What a wondrous nightmare I just wanna deny, I just wanna rewrite The only thing that I got, just like a little lamp I gotta go in one-way smoke Resist the lifeless scenario Become the person The person I wished for that day The room like a coffin, too bright A groove that I lost faraway Blanket, I need a blanket Not a synthetic one Notice the regret engraved so hard Crying, don't let me go anywhere It is not 目に見え, fly out Babe, you don't see me Your shadow that only I got That only I got Flame out, flame out I don't care about it anymore Now I can fly Only I can fly Rush it, rush it You're just making sure I'm alone But I have the power It was undercover Flash me, flash me Gotta get the power to rewrite I just wanna deny, I just wanna rewrite, aye Clash it, clash it What a wondrous nightmare I just wanna deny, I just wanna rewrite The only thing that I got, just like a little lamp I gotta go in one-way smoke Resist the lifeless scenario Become the person The person I wished for that day Ah-ah That only I got That only I got
This is very tough for Ne to choose a single most favourite song from Link Click but Flash is a song that has an extremely special part in my heart. This song too is about someone who is desperate to re-write a history as someone who is constantly taking part in the history.
See how the first few verses actually start with the admission that "there is no chance to rewrite, our story ended long ago."
Then the denial strikes in with the raging desperation.
The only thing that I got, just like a little lamp / I gotta go in one-way smoke/ Resist the lifeless scenario/ Become the person/ The person I wished for that day
I know that the little lamp can be a general metaphor for hope but since it's our guang-guang I'm not gonna ignore the significance of his name here.
Also there is something about being and becoming. Even though it's a performance that's self-indulgent (!), there is an attempt to strike a delicate balance between hope, stubbornness and disaster. Now how successful that attempt is...
Idk man, it may be a side effect of reading too much Shakespeare and thinking too much about meta-theatricality and existentialism but anyway, I wanted to share this morning's enlightenment so yeah.

hiiii mags !!
(anon here b/c i'm not as brave as i thought i was 😅)
first of, i'm sorry to break your chain of silly little goofy prompts, they've all been heartwarming & got me giggling & kicking my feet :D howeveerrr, i know you write more sensitive topics and the big guy™️ is pretty comforting for me. now you can take this in any direction you want— angst, fluff, do whatever your heart desires, girl!— but i was wondering if you could do a gender neutral reader x schlatt who was in a past abusive relationship? maybe the reader has certain quirks like they flinch or overapologize because of past memories.
(is this the most self-indulgent ask in the history of asks?? okay, maaaybe... but like, yolo! right?)
and if you don't mind, if 💌 anon isn't taken, then allow me to fill that spot up for ya!
thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this! MUCHHH love girlie!!

hi anon !! i apologize for how long this has taken me, but i hope this appeases you. i know how it feels so if i can give just a smidge of comfort, that makes my heart happy :>
summary : with a bruise that still stings, you try to navigate what is supposed to be 'normal'. as does he, with open arms and an open mind.

the soothing voice of chet baker rang through the kitchen, you waved your hands around to the smooth sound. watching as schlatt was attempting to figure out the instructions on the box of penne pasta. his eyes squinting as he tried to rack his head on just how long he really needed to have it boiling in the pot for. you sigh and place a hand on his arm as you leaned in to read the directions with him, he was making it seem a lot harder than it probably was. looking at him, all you could think was 'poor soul'.
"you've got the right times, don't think about it too hard." you softly giggle out, poking his arm before you let go of him. "gonna pop a vein if you keep that face." you added, playfully toying with him. he dropped the box to the countertop, causing a loud clash to be heard, looking over to you with a grin. he wasn't met with a matching smile on your face though, instead he saw for a split moment a genuine look of fear on your face.
you quickly fix your face and cross your hands over one another, knowing you shouldn't have reacted like that to such a small thing. "sorry- it was the box wasn't it?" he muttered, raising his hand up to your shoulder to gently rub his thumb along. you bite on the inside of your cheek and try your best to keep your face fixed, "we need, olive oil. yeah." you stammer out, turning to the stove and grabbing the bottle to gently pour onto the pan. he watched as you desperately tried to distract yourself, his hand dropped back to his side as he watched you.
he looked at you for a moment longer before grabbing the box of penne and looking over the instructions again. he took a few quick glances at you as you evened out the oil onto the pan, he could easily see that he accidentally upset you. even if it was an accident, he desperately wanted to fix it, somehow at least. he looked at the box one more time before quietly placing it back down this time.
he walked behind you and leaned over slightly to gently kiss the temples of your face, letting his hands softly lay upon your shoulders. he could feel how tense you became, it ached at him. "i love you." he whispered into your ear, sending a shiver down your spine. you slow down your stirring and come to a complete stop to turn your head to face him more, "i love you too." your voice quivering ever so slightly. his kisses traveled down your cheek, moving the hair by your ear to gently kiss the nape of your neck.
"just focus on the pan, sweetheart." he said barely above a whisper as he moved his lips off of you, moving your hair back gently. you let out a deep sigh, the uneasiness slowly going away. moving your hands back to stir the oil, as you seasoned the pan as well. his hands gently massaging your shoulders as he watched you, leaning his cheek against the back of your head. he couldn't comprehend how someone could hurt someone as delicate as you, when he saw you nothing short of a fairytale.
he let his hands slowly move from your shoulders, instead wrapping his arms around your torso with a sigh. "it looks really lovely already, baby." he muttered, kissing the side of your head, in hopes that he was doing something right. you move the pasta mix into the pan, pouring it gently as it sizzled with the oil. you were trying so hard to not mess anything up, especially not with him watching. you felt more on ease as time went on, it did feel nice to have him wrapped around you.
"any seasonings you want?" you speak out of thin air, embracing the warmth from him behind you. you could feel his cheek move along your head, assuming he was shaking his head to the question. "just the usual, i'm not picky." he replied, rocking you slowly as he stood. "anything you make is good, sweetheart." he adds on with a smile, his voice low and soothing. you lean your head against him and weakly grin as you gently stir the pasta mix, maybe it was going to be alright.
there had been other kitchens, other meals, other hands. hands that didn’t hold so gently, voices that didn’t soothe but seared. you thought you’d buried it all, hidden it deep enough that it wouldn’t resurface, but sometimes all it took was the wrong sound at the wrong time. he didn’t say anything as the silence stretched, his chin resting lightly on the crown of your head, waiting. he had learned not to push, not to pry. "just some garlic, never hurt anybody right?" you snicker out, the nervousness still evident in your voice. it was embarrassing for him to see you like this, you only wanted him to see you in your light; not the darkness that someone before created.
he shrugged and squeezed you softly, "i'm not a vampire, so you're safe with that." he started, chuckling to your comment, "for now." he added on jokingly, even letting out the stereotypical 'mwah hua hua' after. you let out a soft laugh, the kind that still felt unusually foreign on your lips, almost like a language you were relearning. the tension in your shoulders eased just a little as you reached for the garlic cloves, their papery skin crackling under your fingers. you glanced back at him, catching the playful glint in his eyes as he leaned into his ridiculous vampire impression, his grin as cheesy as you imagined it.
“for now?” you teased, raising a brow as you placed the garlic on the cutting board. “should i be worried you’re gonna start craving my blood instead of dinner?” you added with a smile. he gasped, a hand flying to his chest as though mortally wounded. “darling, i’d never! though…” his voice dipped theatrically, “if it means i get to bite that lovely neck of yours, i might reconsider.” you rolled your eyes, but your smile lingered this time, small but genuine. “then you’d better help me mince this garlic, dracula, before i revoke your invitation to this kitchen.”
he laughed, moving to your side with ease, his presence steady and warm. “course, course,” he said, grabbing a knife and making a show of twirling it lightly in his hand before chopping the garlic. for a moment, the air felt lighter, the weight on your chest loosening its grip. his effort to make you smile wasn’t lost on you, and you found yourself grateful. not just for his humor, but for the way he didn’t try to fix you. didn't view you as some sort of project that he'd see fit as. instead, he let you exist, fractured edges and all, and somehow that felt more healing than anything else.
“you’re getting better at this, you know,” he said after a beat, nodding toward the stove. the garlic was sizzling now, releasing a rich aroma that mingled with the bubbling oil. “at cooking?” you asked, pretending not to notice the way his hand brushed against yours as he slid the minced garlic into the pan.
“at trusting,” he said softly, his eyes meeting yours. you froze, the words cutting through you with their quiet truth. it wasn’t the kind of compliment you were used to. there was no flattery, no sugar coating, just a simple acknowledgment of the effort you’d been pouring into rebuilding yourself; and it felt nice. nicer than you imagined it being. he sliced the last bit of garlic and rubbed the excess from his palms, softly grinning as he kept his eyes on you. letting his hand raise up slowly, in fear that it might startle you, so he could gently caress the side of your face.
"just stay like this, okay?" he sighed out, letting his thumb run along your temple. "this is more than enough for me." he added on, before leaning over to kiss you on the forehead. "more than enough." he concluded, looking right into your eyes as he was mere centimeters from your touch. you swallow the lump in your throat as you could feel the tears welling up in your eyes, but it wasn't sadness. rather relief. relief that you finally felt safe.
"i love you." you shakily state, your lip gently trembling. you could feel the waterworks making their way, and so could he. even making him gear up a few tears of his own, he couldn't help it. knowing just how hard it was for you on a daily basis, but he wouldn't stray from you. he was just fine right here with you, in moments like this. whether it was crying because he accidentally raised his voice, holding you through the shakes when you had a night terror, or just singing you to sleep.
he was fine with all the moments in between the so called 'good', he just wanted to be there period. "i love you too, more than you'll ever know." he replied, trying his best to cut away the tears. grinning softly as he wiped under your eyes, "it's the garlic- swear." he snickers, making you laugh with him and shake your head. "onions are what makes you cry." you reply, feeling the heaviness get lighter in your chest. "shh shh, let me have this one." he defends with a giggle. taking a deep sigh and gently caressing your face.
"you're so- good. i'm so sorry anyone has convinced you otherwise, sweetheart." he stifles out, a tear escaping his eyes as it fell slowly down his cheek. you nod and raise your arms up to pull him into a hug, you needed this more than ever. closing your eyes as the sound of the sizzling pan and chet baker's soothing trumpet soared through the room. schlatt began to slowly sway you to the rhythm, kissing the top of your head softly.
"i just love emotional pasta nights, really do." he jokes, making you swiftly poke your head up and shake your head with a smile. a real smile. "as long as you're there, i love them too." you mutter barely above a whisper. tilting his head down and kissing you, leaning your chin up delicately and basking in every second of it. he knew it'd be a long road, but he knew he had enough love in his heart to withstand it.

I saw in these days some moots’ posts that talk about the good and bad things that happened in this year, and the expectations that are hoping to achieve e in the new year.
I wasn’t sure to do this myself, even because there are a lots of things that have happened this year and most of them are not positive at all. But I’ve decided to take this “leap of faith” and share my 2024 with you, and to thank all the people that stood at my side until today.
If you want to read my little rambling, then here’s everything under the cut.
Let’s start by saying that this is probably one of the worst years I’ve had since the pandemic broke out, if not the worst. I’m struggling to over come a neverending sadness, anxiety and panic attacks, and this effects my mood swings between overstimulation and exhaustiation, often leaving me crying unexpectedly. I have done a lot of damage to myself, both physically and mentally, and I struggle a lot to get out of it.
This year, university has been overwhelming, and I’m at risk of missing my March graduation and facing extra costs as an off-course student. I’m exausted and I’m considering dropping out to focus on the job I’m currently doing, which saldy there is no contract guarantee.
On the other side, relationships have been challenging as well, and now I’ve left alone and broken. I don’t trust people on a romantic side anymore, and if I should ever stay with someone again, it would be a hard process.
This year I had to give up a lot of things, including two events I was eager to attend to meet my favorite actors. Now those events are gone, and I’m still devastated and heartbroken. I had to renounce to enroll into an acting school I hoped to attend this September, but I couldn’t and this caused me another wave of distress.
I've tried to shake off these negative feelings by at least staying positive here, enjoying all the little things and conversations we've had here, and not putting my burdens on anyone else. But after months of bottling up my feelings, I exploded and now I feel trapped by my negative emotions.
This has led to my various in-offs on this site over the last few months, but I still haven't found the inner peace I was looking for. I still feel like an outcast in the fandoms I belong to, and I always feel that I'm unwanted and unwelcomed.
However, I would have been an ipocrite to say that there hasn’t been positive things this years.
I won the “Ticketmaster battle” (as I like to call it) and I’m going to see the Imagine Dragons live in June. It’s my very first concert and I can’t wait to see them perform.
I’m going to attend some acting courses in a little theatre near the place I live. It wouldn’t be the same of the one I wanted to attend, but I would like to see it as a small step to achieve my dreams and what I want to do in my life.
And most of all, I have met here lots of friends with whom, some more some less, I’ve forged a strong bond that goes beyond the simple like and reblog of our things here on Tumblr. I love you so much, thank you for sticking with me and being the little lights in this year of pure darkness. I know I’ve been terrible in following your contents later and being a whining mess in private, but know that I appreciate all of your advices so much and I tried to use them: there are some days the sadness is literally unbearable, but it’s thanks to you that I’m still here and alive today.
I don’t want to make plans for the New Year, because every time I do them they either don’t happen or it happens the opposte of what I’ve planned, but I just want to focus to give love and attention to the only person that needs it right now but always been denied: myself. I want to use this new year to heal and to come back to the person I was before this mess, and I hope I could be here to tell you about my “redemption arc”.
With this, I would like to wish to all the tagged moots (but also the other moots and friends that follow me, because I know I will be a moron and forget some of you) a happy new year. Hope you can live a new year full of adventures and satisfactions and to achieve everything you want to achieve in your life. Hope we can be here all together to talk about all the good and bad things that will happen in this 2025.
I love you and I’ll always carry a piece of you in my heart forever. 💜

Way Out of Line
TWO
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beneath my perfume and make-up I'm just a baby in disguise. And though I know that it's wrong to be alone with him that "come on look" is in my eyes.
Character: Keith Toshko from Barbarian (2022) played by Bill Skarsgård.
Warnings: 18+, NSFW, heavy themes.
Notes: Happy New Year!
I wobbled in from the entrance door into the hallway while crying like a kid.
“Mom!” I shouted with a broken voice, probably sounding even more like a child. “Mom!” My ankle hurt so bad I didn't want to go further into the house; the pain was too much.
“Mom!” I screamed angrily, but instead of her coming out to the hallway, Keith peeked out from the living room seeing my tear-stained face. His nose and cheeks were red, and I could see his chest move up and down heavily under his gray hoodie. It was obvious he had been out running. I wished I could say I also had done that and that was how I hurt my ankle, but I had just walked to the garage to turn off the Christmas light in the yard. Keith looked at me with furrowed brows. He looked a bit uncomfortable, and I wiped away my tears, embarrassed. Of course he would see me like that.
“Eh, your mom is in the shower. Your dad is on an important phone call… Can I help you?” He asked a bit nervously. “Have you slipped?”
I nodded and looked down at my foot. I still wore my low Converse, and I tried to hold my foot up the best I could.
Keith came up to me, cleared his throat, and gave me a doubtful look. “Um... Hold on to me so we can walk in. I can look at it.” I looked at his face, then down at his arms. I didn't know where he meant I should hold him, and a tingle flew around in my belly. Keith gave me his arm, but after just the first step, I cried out in pain. I couldn't put pressure on my foot at all. Keith scratched the stubble on his neck and looked down at me while I tried to control my tears. I was embarrassed of my tears, but pictures from the day before were also haunting me. I had shown my breasts to him, just like that, and I didn't know what he thought about it.
“Can I carry you? Is that okay?” He said, waking me up from my shame. I didn't know what I felt about it, but I nodded. I couldn't walk, and I wanted to leave the hallway.
Keith crouched down so he could have his arms under my bum, then he lifted me straight up. It wasn't the most comfortable lift, but it was better than nothing, and he carried me to the kitchen and sat me down on the counter. Without giving me a look or saying anything, he started to take off my Converse and then the sock on my hurt foot. I looked at his long fingers doing it smoothly and softly so he wouldn't hurt me, then he laid my white ankle socks next to me, like it was a prized item. It was silly, but in that moment it all felt so erotic, how smoothly he touched me, how slow he had pulled off the sock, and then how he had let it glide between his fingers before laying it on the counter.
“I will just get a chair,” he said in an authoritative way, like he was a doctor examining me. It didn't take many seconds for him to get one of the white kitchen chairs before sitting down in front of me where my feet hung freely.
“Let me know if it hurts. Okay?” He said and gave me a serious look. I nodded, preparing myself for his touch, but instead he leaned forward gripping in the back of his hoodie, so that he could pull it off. A few seconds later, I could see his smooth, broad back before he pulled down his white t-shirt that had followed the motion. I swallowed hard, seeing the naked skin in my head even if he had covered up. He startled me from my thoughts when he took my foot in his big hand and moved it from side to side. I winced and made a sobbing sound, and he looked up at me in worry.
“Is it okay?” He dragged his hand over my shin, over my fuchsia-colored pajama pants. I nodded a little but then remembered what he had said earlier.
“It hurt when you did that.”
Keith nodded, and carefully he pulled up the leg of my pajama pants.
“Can you hold it up, please?”
I pulled it up to my thigh, where it was easier to hold, and then I looked down at Keith, who still held my foot in his wide palm while the other hand moved up my ankle, up to my shin. I could feel his long, soft fingers over my newly shaved legs, and for a short second, I was thankful that I had shaved them the day before. I winced again when he pushed the sole of my foot against his hand.
“It's just a sprain, nothing to worry about.” He smiled and let me go, then pushed himself back in the chair.
“A-are you sure?” I asked with heated cheeks. He nodded and dragged his hands over his joggers. When he did that, they got tighter over his crotch.
“Yeah. You know, your dad and I studied at college together. Medicine, I just dropped out after three years.
“Why?” I was interested, but my eyes just wanted to look at how his pants hugged a big bulge.
“I think I was a bit young to know what I wanted, and then I started playing with a better band and... Yeah,” he shrugged his shoulders with a smile. “Do you have a bandage I can bind your foot with?”
I nodded and pointed to the bathroom out in the hallway.
“In the cabinet in the bathroom.”
Keith walked away to get the bandage, and I took some deep breaths while I was alone. Once again I thought about how I had let him watch my naked body, but he didn't seem to think about it at all. When Keith came back, I lowered my gaze in embarrassment, but he didn't seem to notice and instead sat down on the chair again and started to bind my foot. I looked at his big hands intensely.
“What instruments do you play?” I asked, after realizing how elegant his hands were.
“Trumpet and the piano.” He looked up at me with a smile and stood up. “Can I carry you somewhere? I guess your dad can find you some crutches later on, but I can help you in the meantime.”
I smiled sweetly and giggled. I couldn't hold it back when I looked at his big, dimpled smile and thought about getting carried around the house by him. I could see Keith's smile change, and he looked at me with hooded eyes under his prominent brow bone. I didn't know how to read it; I just knew he looked sexy.
This time he lifted me up bridal style. It was much more comfortable, and doubtfully I laid my arms around his neck. His neck was warm and slightly sticky from sweat, but it wasn't unpleasant at that moment; it was even a bit hot.
“Couch?” He asked and looked at me with raised brows.
“Yeah, the TV room, thank you.”
He carried me easily through the house and then sat me down on the light beige couch smoothly. I couldn't contain my giggle because I hadn't been carried like that ever in my life. Keith smirked a little, and to my surprise, he sat down on the other side of the couch. He stretched his legs out under the coffee table, his hands behind his head, and he made a pleased sound. I looked at his bulging biceps but also the sweat stains in his armpits. I didn't know why he lingered, but I saw it as a good sign.
“I should shower…” he said, as he dragged his hands through his hair, so sweaty it stayed slicked back.
I nodded, but still he remained next to me. I didn't know if the silence was uncomfortable or not, but he didn't seem to think so because he sat quietly looking between the ceiling and my feet.
“I'm sorry for—” he stated, but it was then my mom came into the room, dressed in leggings and an oversized button-up. I could see how she looked at Keith in his sweat-stained t-shirt and greasy hair. I knew what she was thinking, and so must have Keith, because he stood up quickly.
“Sorry…”
He towered over my mom even more than he did over me, and she looked up at his staggering height but then also down over his chest. I looked at her intensely when I realized she looked at him the same way I did. I hadn't even had the thought about my mom looking at another man other than my dad, but her blushing cheeks said something different.
“Of course you should sit down if you need to…” She said with a warm smile at him, but then she looked towards me.
“Honey! What have you done with your foot? She came up to me and played with one of my French braids.
“I slipped in front of the garage. It's like a skating rink there!”
My mom looked at me with worry as she patted my cheek lovingly. Behind her I could see Keith move uncomfortably, scratching his neck. It felt like I suddenly became younger in his eyes and how he may have realized I was quite a bit younger than him even.
“Did Keith help you with that?” She asked me but looked towards him like I couldn't answer for myself. He gave her a tight-lipped smile, and then she looked towards me again. She still played with one of my braids.
“Have you said thank you?” She looked at me sternly, and I scoffed but then realized I hadn't thanked him. I looked down at my lap, too embarrassed to say anything.
“It's okay… Um, I must take a shower.” He faked a laugh and then left the room. I still stared down at my thighs, so I didn't see him leave the room.
“Didn't you thank him?” Said my mom, upset and so loudly I knew Keith had heard her. I really was a child.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas. Let your heart be light. Next year all our troubles will be out of sight…
My mom's and dad's friends always came over on Boxing Day. There were two couples of the same age with the same sort of life. One of the women had tried to play matchmaker with her son and I, who was one year older than me. I had dismissed it as best as I could because he looked like a guy who probably got wedgies in high school. I also participated in those dinners out of old habits. I had sat on the end of the table for as long as I could remember. I helped my mom in the kitchen but became distracted because my dad and Keith stood by the cabinet where my parents had their spirits. It was obvious they talked about the liquor, but I couldn't understand much because of how little knowledge I had. Keith was almost a head taller than my father and dressed in a black tee. Why he was friends with my dad, with thinning hair and a goatee, was a mystery. Discreetly I looked at Keith's ass in his loose brown chinos. He had worn loose-fitting clothes every time I had seen him, but something told me he didn't have anything to hide. When he turned around after my dad had asked him to get some glasses from the glass cabinet in the dining room, our eyes met for a few short seconds. It was he who turned his eyes from me, and it made my cheeks heat in shame. Was it because I hadn't said thank you earlier that day? Did he see me as a young girl because of it? A girl without manners? I looked down at the onion lying in front of me, stared at it like I could make it cut itself, just by my shame.
“Honey? Are you okay? Is it your ankle? Maybe you should sit down a bit?” Said my father who helped me to a chair. “Baby girl, you must take care of yourself.” I looked up at him and nodded in self-pity. It was just then that Keith stood just behind him, playing with a gin bottle between his hands. I looked at him in horror, so much that my dad turned to look at Keith.
“It's okay to cry, girlie,” my dad said, believing I didn't dare to show my pain for Keith. It was partially true; I didn't want to be that girl, that woman, crying all the time, but I also was ashamed of how my dad babied me. He was Keith's friend, and now I would just be his “baby girl.”
Keith left the room again, and I looked down at my foot tiredly.
“Mom, can you help me to my room?” I asked with a sigh. “I'm tired,” I said it to have a reason to not help. My dad would fix crutches for me the next day, but for the day, I needed their help to move around the house. My mom helped me up the stairs, but then I jumped on one leg to Jason's room, which for the week was mine. The door being closed confused me, and I furrowed my brows. My mom must have closed it so Keith wouldn't see my mess. I could be sloppy with putting things away, but it was rare that guests were on the upper floor. For a second I brushed it away and stuck to the explanation that my mom had closed it, but when I saw that the bed was neatly made, I felt irritated. Mom never went into my room without permission, but now that I slept in Jason's room, it seemed like she had forgotten I wanted the same privacy. I wanted to have a childish tantrum and mess the bed up just to feel like I had the power over the room again, but while wobbling in, I saw a small gift box lying on the fluffed pillow. It was wrapped in red glossy paper with a neat white bow on top of it. I looked at it with surprise and excitement. I loved a gift from whoever it was, but the excitement and happiness grew when I saw the simple white card next to the gift.
Merry Christmas, and thank you, Jacqueline, for letting me crash in your room.
Keith
I lifted the card before I touched the gift and looked at his cursive handwriting closely. I even dragged a finger over it and then pushed it against my chest. It was silly, but I was too excited to not act like a fifteen-year-old. Before I opened the gift, I sat down on the edge of the bed, and then I slowly opened it to taunt myself. Under the red paper was a jewelry box from a brand I recognized. I knew they sold it in town, and I imagined Keith walking into one of the boutiques, picking out something for me. He had picked a pair of silver earrings, hoops with small pink saltwater pearls. They were pretty, even if I rarely wore silver. The brand wasn't overly expensive but not cheap either. I could guess he had paid something between 80-100 dollars for them, and that was a lot from a person you've just met. I tried them on, and with the lack of a mirror in Jason's room, I used my phone to look at myself. They were really pretty; he had good taste, and I giggled to myself. It must have meant he was interested in me.
He's all I want, just for me. Underneath my Christmas tree. I'll be waiting here…
×××
There was always an uneven number of guests at the Boxing Day dinner. Even if my parents' friends also had children, they had never been part of the dinner like I was. It was a bit weird probably, but my parents always said it was because I had much better manners than the other children. There had always been three couples and me, sitting on the end close to my parents, but this day we were suddenly an even number, and instead of sitting on the end, I sat opposite our new guest, Keith. He blended in with the couples much better than I did, even though I've known them most of my life. The difference was that they treated him like a grown-up, and he could participate as one too. He talked about politics, history, and nostalgic things from the 90s and the millennium comfortably. He could joke in an intellectual way and taste the wine elegantly. I looked at him with big eyes while playing with the earrings he had gotten me. It was when we had eaten up the main course that he really looked at me, the first time that night, and smiled.
“You don't drink?”
“No…” I played with my hands nervously and looked at his dimple instead of his eyes. “I'm in a sorority, and we don't really drink.”
Keith nodded a little and leaned back in his chair.
“What do you study?”
“Um, English and drama.”
“Oh, really? So you're an actress?” He smiled playfully and took a sip of his red wine.
“A little.” I shrugged my shoulders with an embarrassed smile, even if I had been in theater since I was six. He continued to smile; he had lowered his chin, and it really changed his smile, it looked seductive. I wondered if someone saw how he looked at me, but it didn't seem like it because they continued to talk and laugh.
“I'm going to take some fresh air,” he said and held up two fingers in front of his full lips. “Do you want to keep me company?”
I looked at my parents when Keith smoothly lifted me up from the chair. My mom gave us a quick glance but just smiled friendly when Keith said we would go out for some air. They didn't react at all to the fact that a grown man carried me in his arms. Keith succeeded with some struggle to open the door to the patio and put me down on a bench. I regretted that I hadn't taken my chance to really enjoy being in his arms, maybe touched him a little. Instead, I had worried about my parents and didn't have the courage to move my hands around his neck, not even an inch.
Keith dragged a hand through his already messy hair and pulled up his shoulders while digging in his pants pocket after his cigarette pack.
“It’s cold; should I get a blanket for you or something?” He asked and gave me a worried look. I smiled and shook my head; I didn't want to bother him even if it was cold. I wore a tight knitted dress in black I had picked out to look more sexy that night than I did the day before, but there wasn't much warmth in it. I tried to sit femininely and elegantly on the bench, but it was hard with my ankle and the dress that just wanted to ride up. Keith leaned comfortably against the railing and lit a cigarette. It was obvious he was a habitual smoker, and I looked at him in fascination. I couldn't understand how he could make a thing I hated look so good. I hated smoking, of course because of the health issues with it but also because I thought it was unhygienic, but now I looked at his long fingers holding the cigarette delicately and his pouty lips taking deep drags. It was sexy. He looked dangerous and seductive.
“I guess you don't smoke either?” He said with a little smirk, and I smiled with a blush back and shook my head.
“You have much more discipline than me…” He laughed softly, and so did I, even if I didn't get what was so funny.
“Um…” Keith looked more serious after having taken a deep breath and scratched his forehead with the thumb on the same hand he held the cigarette in. “I want to say I'm sorry for yesterday… It was… It was awful behavior of me to intrude on your privacy. I know… I know you're a nice girl, and that was all my fault.”
He looked at me sincerely but lowered his gaze when he was forced to flick the ash off his cigarette. I looked at him shocked, then disappointed, but tried to mask it with a small smile. It didn't sit right with me how he said I was a nice girl and that everything was his fault. It felt like he didn't believe I had a sexuality, that I was only Dr. George Bailey’s little girl. I thought I had invited Keith into seeing me as something else other than an innocent girl, but clearly he had chosen to see it in another way.
“It's okay.” I said it lightly like it was nothing, but in reality, I could feel the tears push behind my eyes. It was a weird way of being rejected, and I didn't know if I could do anything about it.
Keith smiled a little, took one more toke, and let the smoke seep out into the dark winter night.
“I'm happy to see you're wearing the earrings…” I hadn't let the fake smile go, so I just continued to grimace and nodded a little. He put out his cigarette in an ashtray on the side of the stairs, probably put there by my mom just for him, then he walked up to me.
“Should I carry the princess again?”
I laughed, even if I mostly felt sad and disappointed. He lifted me up in his strong arms again and walked into the house. He smelled like his cigarette, but it didn't bother me at all; I wished I could taste it from his tongue too.
×××
Keith stayed with us over the whole Christmas but he was more of a nightly guest because he had work the days leading up to New Year's Eve. I didn't see him much, and I guess that wasn't anything strange when he worked as a musician. He probably had concerts and gigs stacked on top of each other. I just met him in the hallway a few times, and we said hello to each other politely. One day he even did a little bow to me, and it made me laugh because he looked so silly. He smiled big at that, so happy and proud he could make me laugh so easily, but then our interaction was over, and I could hear him leave the house again.
I couldn't deny that Keith was there as my father's guest anymore. He was a grown man and had probably just got caught in the moment when he watched me from the door opening. I had been a silly girl, showing him my naked chest, and he hadn't been able to look away. It was embarrassing how I had started to believe it meant something, and seeing his polite smile just made me want to run away from home, so I did. Or I didn't really run away, but I left the house early on New Year's Day to be with some girlfriends; lucky for me, my foot had also healed. I needed to get away from Keith and stop being so self-conscious and nervous all the time.
My four girlfriends and I had my friend Farah’s parents’ house to ourselves and ate a creamy pasta and made chocolate cake for dessert. Our tradition had been the same since we were fourteen, and since we were seventeen, we had been stealing some whiskey from the bar and mixing it with coke to drink by midnight. This was the first year I drank more than one glass, and I could feel my head spin while my friends talked about guys and sex. I didn't have much to say on the subject, so instead I drank, and when I stood up, I felt my knees get weak and my eyelids heavy.
“Are you okay, Lapin?” asked my friend Martina with a giggle when she saw me lean against the wall. Lapin was a French nickname they had heard my mom call me in my teens, and it had stuck with them.
“Yeah…” I said with a giggle and glided down against the wall, down to the floor, so my short skater dress ruffled around my waist.
“Is it your phone that’s ringing?” I opened my eyes to see where she was pointing, and she did point at my phone  buzzing on the coffee table.
“Yeah…” I said tiredly and giggled. I closed my eyes again. I just wanted to sleep.
“It's your mom.” I nodded tiredly, but when she started to read all my missed phone calls, I looked up at her. Three calls from Mom, one from Dad, and one from an unknown number that had also sent a message.
“‘Are you okay, Jaqueline? I can pick you up if you want to.’ It's from Keith. Who is Keith? Your uncle?”
His name made me sober up, and I stood up with wobbly legs.
“No, it's my dad's friend…” I said but moved excitedly, like he was much more than a friend to my father.
“Okay…” she said, confused, and looked at Farah, who shrugged her shoulders. I took my phone from her hand, where she sat on the black couch, and I squinted to see the screen and Keith's message. In drunken courage I called him at once.
“Hey. Jaqueline, where are you?” He answered after four signals.
“Hey…” I giggled and took a deep breath to try to sound more sober. “I'm at Farah’s… Just celebrating…”
Keith chuckled lowly, and it made me giggle. My friends sat and looked at me amused because that wasn't how they behaved when they talked with their dad's friends. I didn't notice it, though, and just continued to drag my fingers over my black nylons like I was a bit turned on.
“Are you drunk?” He asked, amused.
“No… Tipsy.”
“Mhm. Should I pick you up? I haven't been drinking.”
“Okay, but…” My tone changed when I thought about going home. “Mom and Dad will not like that I’m… tipsy. They don't like that…”
“We can try to fix that, okay? But it's better you're with me now. Okay?”
“Okay.” I giggled again, then gave him the address before hanging up.
I was too obvious with my big smile, pink cheeks, and seductive ways, so my girlfriends understood Keith wasn't just my dad's friend. When they asked, I couldn't stop myself from gushing about his looks, height, and smooth voice. I spoke like he was a handsome movie star, even if he was just a separated jazz musician. In just a few days I had started to see him as the perfect man and could see him becoming my husband and how I would give him three healthy children. My friends giggled as naively as myself and helped me fix my appearance and gave me glass after glass of water to help me to sober up. I didn't mention to them that Keith was married, but silently I wondered if they would have acted differently hearing that small detail. He was separated, and they didn't react because he was 17 years older than me.
All of them looked at him with big eyes when Farah had opened the door for him; he walked in to stand by the door to shield himself from the cold outside. He had a dark blue bomber jacket on, and he looked a bit tired. He often looked tired, but now it was more obvious than usual.
“Are you girls okay? I hope you've had a good night… And not have been drinking too much,” he said with a smirk and looked mostly at me while I struggled to put on my converse gracefully. I wondered if he might have seen my panties while I was bent with my head down, but at that moment I was too unsober to care; it even felt a bit exciting if he did.
“Have you been bare-legged the whole evening?” He sounded worried, and when I finally stood up, I saw his brows furrow.
“Yeah,” I lied. In reality, I had accidentally ripped my tights when I pulled them up after having been at the toilet.
“It looks awfully cold.”
I nodded a little as an answer, then turned to my girlfriends to say goodbye. They gave me amused looks, and I knew what they were thinking. Keith actually was so hot as I had said, even if he was much older than any guy we had dated. He played with his car keys while waiting, and he looked manly in that calm way that only a real man did. He acted self-confident but relaxed, even a bit like how I expected a dad would act, patient and friendly. I brushed that thought away fast and then followed him to his metallic gray Volvo. Of course he had a Volvo. He opened the passenger door for me, and I jumped in, holding my short black dress down so it wouldn't lift by the cold air.
I looked closely at Keith when he started the car and easily moved out from the small parking place. He drove expertly, and I was surprised by how hot I thought it was that he could drive so smoothly with just one hand on the steering wheel and one laying on his thigh.
“Have you had a good night?” He asked and smirked a little while looking at the road in front of him.
“Yeah… How was your night?” I was honestly curious and looked at his side profile. His nose was upturned in an innocent way, and his lips so full he had a real pout in profile.
“Good, like it usually is.”
I nodded until I thought about what he was saying.
“Have you celebrated at our place before?”
“Yeah, for... five years, I think. But you have never been home?”
I continued to look at his profile in shock. I had never known he actually had been present in my father's life. I looked down at the hand he steered with and saw the gold band sit a bit loose on his ring finger.
“So you and Dad... Have you always hung out?”
“Back and forth.” He moved his head side to side. “But we try to get a lunch in or a beer when we can. Why?”
“Just wondering!” I said quickly and looked out from the window. Keith didn't say anything to me, and we were silent for a while.
“It looks awfully cold…” Suddenly I could feel soft fingertips over my naked thigh and looked down to see his long fingers dragging carefully over my naked skin, but just when I started to enjoy the feeling, Keith pulled away his hand with a groan.
“Oh fuuuck..! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that. Shit, I wasn't thinking!” I saw in the corner of my eye how he was panicking and dragged his hand over his face and neck. He stopped when he realized he had lost some of the control of the car, and he straightened up in the seat again.
“I'm sorry, Jaqueline, I shouldn't touch you like that. That wasn't okay,” he said as he looked at the road. I didn't know if he looked at the road so intensely to not lose control again or if he didn't want to look at me. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to say it was okay and brush it away; I wanted him to continue.
“Should we take a turn so you can sober up before we meet your parents?” He said it thoughtfully, but I could still hear regret in his voice. I couldn't understand why one second touched me and the next second stuttered apologies. I couldn't understand, but I was becoming irritated by his mixed signals.
Happy New Year, Happy New Year. May we all have our hopes, our will to try. If we don't, we might as well lay down and die. You and I…
×××
I wanted to give my parents just a quick goodnight, but my mom stopped me before I had even reached the stairs.
“I have told you so many times to pick up when we are calling!”
I scoffed because I always picked up when they called; she just made it sound different now when she was angry at me. “Why do you have that phone if you will not use it??”
“What? It happened once! I always answer!”
“Why didn't you answer tonight then?!”
“I don't need to tell you that! I'm a grown-up!”
“Not as long as you live under this roof!”
I groaned, irritated, and stomped up the stairs to Jason's room and threw the door closed. I had been the easiest child, the politest teen, and was now a classy young woman, but my parents saw every mistake I made as a catastrophe and gave me a hard time for every mediocre grade and every bad word. It was irritating, but I had learned to swallow it, just like I knew I would do then too.
I sat on my bed writing a thank you message to Farah when there was a knock on my door. I didn't want to open it, but I knew that would just make things worse, so I stomped to the door and opened it sourly, but my expression changed fast when I saw Keith look at me with big worried eyes. He scratched his neck and pulled on the plaid shirt he had over his tee.
“Can I come in?” He looked over his shoulder to see that we were alone, and I moved away from the door quickly so he could sneak into my room before someone saw him. Behind the closed door it looked like Keith relaxed a bit, and so did I, even if he made my face go numb and my heart fluttered in my chest.
“I just want to see if you're okay. She really took a go on you.”
“Oh,” I smiled, surprised, and laughed, embarrassed.
“It was stupid of me to not answer.” I shrugged my shoulders, trying to play it all down because I was embarrassed Keith had heard us.
“It can happen to us all. Um... I'm actually here because of one more reason… “ He moved his feet nervously and pushed down his hands in the pocket of his black jeans so low I could see the elastic of his dark blue boxers. I looked up at him, doing my best doe eyed look because it felt like he maybe wanted to say something I actually wanted to hear. He laughed a little nervously while he looked at me playing with my long hair.
“I just… Fuck…” He laughed again, and I could see how he gave my naked legs a fast look. “I don't know why, but… I don't know, I feel like I do stupid shit around you and—” he stopped talking when I moved closer to him, and with a beating heart, I pushed my body against his. He breathed heavily and pushed himself even closer to me with his big hands on my waist.
“Baby girl…” he said with an almost pained voice. It was my father's nickname for me, but it sounded different when it came from Keith's mouth. He dragged his hands back to the small of my back and down over my ass. I didn't do it on purpose, but I moaned by feeling his hands on me, and he bit his lip with heavy eyes.
“Fuck, girlie… Fuck…” He dragged his hands up to my waist again and gave me a serious look.
“I'm married. I’m almost twenty years older than you, and you are one of my best friends’ daughters. I think you hear that it is an equation that doesn't add up? I can't do this...”
Normally a rejection from anyone would make me retreat and drown in shame at myself, but for some reason his rejection made me want to hold him tightly to me, so I did. My arms around his neck locked, and I pushed my chest even closer to him. He made a sound I couldn't read, as he looked up at the ceiling. For me it was strange behavior, and I looked at him with big eyes.
“Jaqueline…” he said with a pained voice, but I just stood up on my toes.
“Please, just kiss me. Please?” I begged with a whiny voice that got him to look at me. His hands moved sensually over my back and then down to my bum again. He took a hard grip around my cheeks, and then he finally leaned down to kiss me. I had just kissed one boy in my life, my high school boyfriend. Keith was the second boy, I mean man, that had kissed me, and it was something totally different. I thought I knew everything about kisses; I thought I knew people were exaggerating when they said they got weak in the knees, how they wanted to crawl in under the other person's skin or at least their clothes. I had never felt that, but when Keith's lips brushed lightly against mine, everything I thought I knew disappeared. When he separated my lips with his and let the tip of his tongue tease mine, I felt it tingle in places in my body that had never tingled before. He deepened the kiss and made my sex pulsate, and I wanted to come even closer and explore everything about him. It felt like I was in a hurry, and carefully he pulled away from me and chuckled lowly.
“Hey, sweetie, you can take it slow, okay? Slow down.” He played with my hair while I could feel the blood that had travelled to my groin move up quickly to my cheeks while he smiled teasingly.
“You can follow me, okay? I can teach you.” He smirked, and it made me embarrassed and also a little irritated that he spoke to me like that, but I forgot that quickly when he kissed me again.
We two who've paddled in the stream. From morning sun 'til night. The seas between us roared and swelled. Since the days of auld lang syne…

It’s over.
It’s finally over.
I’m free.
Had my final appointment at the cancer clinic today.  It was a pelvic exam and colposcopy to make sure that I was all healed up inside after the hysterectomy and that there were no traces of any abnormalities.  I’d been anxious about the appointment for WEEKS.
It wasn’t my surgeon who saw me, it was one of her associates, but she was so kind and understanding and empathetic that I felt good about it going into the procedure. The procedure itself was super un-fun given how one of the symptoms of menopause is vaginal dryness/atrophy.  All the lube in the world didn’t make that speculum go in any easier and it hurt like hell, but once it was in place it was fine.
After a thorough look and feel and a LOT of anxiety on my part, the doctor pronounced me fully healed and fit to return to all activities.  She said that there is no need for them to see me again, that this is it, but that if I have any concerns come up or any questions in the future or issues related to any pelvic health, to give them a call back and they’d take me back on without question.
That said, though, I never need another pelvic exam.  I never need another pap test.  I never need to deal with all of the menstrual bullshit again.  I can bid cancer goodbye and good riddance.
It’s actually, finally over.

Love the ending (and ONLY the ending) of Dark Phoenix bc it means Charles and Erik don't just get to be old together, they get to grow old together
They get to watch the lines and the wrinkles form on each other's faces; they get to see all of the events that shape those lines, like the way Charles gets a permanent crinkle between his eyebrows from sighing at the prankster students and the way Erik learns to smile so often that he gets proper crow's feet
Charles gets to see Erik's hair go grey, and then white, and he gets to run his fingers through that white hair even when his hands are gnarled and veiny and shake a little bit
They get to play thousands of games of chess together, day in and day out, night after night, until they have difficulty remembering all the rules and they're not as good at planning strategy as they used to be
All of the mutants they help, they get to watch grow up together; they get to see those mutants get married and have children and then they get to see those children grow up as well and neither of them ever has to feel alone again because in finding each other, Erik and Charles started a community that provides them both with more family than they ever imagined having
And eventually they get to die together, within days or weeks of each other, and be buried side by side after having lived the best years of their lives that same way

sorry my post is just to complain but guys i literally hate adobe after effects. i can not explain to you the mental torture and how LOW it has brought my mental health because I *need* to use it for my post production class because it's "industry standard". ADOBE After Effects has made me write off the entire film and video production industry as a turn off and I never want to do it ever again.
The amount of times this has crashed on me where I lost everything? 5+ hours of work? 8+ hours of work? It's my fault for not saving sometimes but I also have auto-save on. it didn't save anything so im just left with nothing.
You want a trip to burn out town really quick? Use adobe after effects in an academic setting where you have no choice but to use this program.
I have never in my life TOUCHED a program SO TERRIBLE that it made me never want to do anything about that form of art/media EVER AGAIN
