So um, some news, mostly good for yall-

The bad first- my dom and I have been taking a break from 24/7 Power Exchange and sex and there's not a clear timeline on when I'll be feeling up to it again though I know I will eventually.

He took a breath, breathing in sea air, filling lungs he felt grateful to have. He'd tell her. When the time was right. Today. He'd tell her today. Mauve wasn't the type to like flowers. She loved dry wit and affectionate kisses. What could he do? He stared at himself in the mirror, thinking hard. Did he have to do anything? Why not just walk in and tell her? He set his jaw, tearing his gaze from the mirror and striding out of the room. He walked into their quarters to find her sobbing, clutching herself, nails digging into flesh. He froze, smile slipping off his face to be replaced with horror and fear. "Mauve?" She whirled, eyes wide, attempting to hide her previous sobs. He crossed to her in two strides, wrapping her in his arms. "What's wrong?" She sucked in a breath. Her entire body felt rigid, tight with anxious energy. "I can't stop it. I can't fight it." His brow knit. "Fight what?" "The pull. The..." She ripped herself from his grasp, backing away to the window. Outside was a beautiful day; the sky a clean, clear blue. She paused. "What keeps me wandering. I can't fight it anymore. I have to go." Kelsier felt his heart stop. Mouth dry, he took a step forward. "Go?" She nodded, looking away. Long hair tied back in a tail, her face red with sobs, she was still gorgeous. He swallowed. "You can't leave. You can't leave me." "Kelsier...I can't fight it." She stepped forward, arms raised into fists which she pressed to his chest, looking at him with an intensity he'd never seen of her before. "I've tried for years. I don't want to go." "Then don't." She hissed through her teeth. "I HAVE to go, Kelsier. Aren't you listening? I cannot remain on Scadrial." He grabbed her by the shoulders. "No!" The tears returned, leaking down her face. His own emotions swam, the whiplash of terrific joy replacement by terrific anguish reeling. "You aren't listening!" "We can fix this!" "WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS!" She yelled. "Kell, I don't want to leave you. I'll lose myself, wandering the Cosmere. I know I will. But I can't...fight this power." "I'll lock you up." He whispered. "Until we can fix this." She turned her gaze to him, violet, almost clear eyes haunted. "You'd cage me? For how long, Kelsier?" He hung his head. No. He'd never do that. "What can I do?" She looked at him. "Help me get to the perpendicularity." Her voice came out as a whisper. He gazed at her, eyes heavy with despair. "I wanted to tell you I loved you, Mauve." Her eyes widened. "I love you and need you here." She kissed him. A wonderful, passionate kiss. Her hands pressed into the backs of his shoulders, one of his wrapped in her hair, the other pressed to the small of her back. "If I could control this..." She said, smoothing back stray hair and tucking it behind his ears. "I would." He gave her a small smile, taking her hands in both of his own, kissing them. "I know."

It's possible I'm reaching a bit here but I find it interesting that, in their boss fights in bbs, Xehanort manipulates the rock and dirt of the graveyard, while Vanitas utilizes the actual keyblades left behind. For one, it's foreshadowing for the characters they're about to fuse with: Xehanort using earth, Vanitas doing a sort of jetstream aerial attack, the preferred element of Terra and Ventus respectively. But also, they're literally each using half of the world against out heroes. Vanitas is the Keyblade, and Xehanort is the Graveyard.

what if barry gets so good at reading snart throughout their relationship that if he walks into a room and a snart that isn't His -from another dimension/timeline or the wrong part of the timeline (aka pre-barry)- is there, he will know IMMEDIATELY that this isn't His Leonard Snart

In seriousness tho, it felt like discount dishonor titles. It reminded me of how I made Tigerstar do that to Stormpaw and Featherpaw, but like... that was because of bigotry against halfclan cats and the hatred he was stoking in BB!TigerClan. Not just because he's mean.

I do hope that like, comes across. Dishonor Titles usually exist to publicly shame or even dehumanize the cats they're put on, as a method of social control both for the dishonored and for the Clan. They're not just schoolyard bully name calling LMAO

So normally we only get fullblown, extended and dedicated flashbacks for heroic characters in One Piece, the characters who we're meant to root for. The literal only TRUE exception we've had to this rule was Big Mom's flashback. Even fucking Doflamingo's flashback was tied to Law and Rosinante's

So the fact that we haven't gotten a single fucking GLIMPSE at Crocodile's backstory is?!?

Like sure, we haven't gotten like a Moria flashback, but you know, he literally told us all we needed to know himself, AND we got to see glimpses of him in the Wano flashbacks. Arlong didn't get a flashback of his own, but he did get to cameo in Fisher Tiger's flashback. And Rob Fucking Lucci got a flashback that was 6 whooping panels long

BUT CROCODILE?? Not only do we know almost Fuck All about his story, but also have never gotten as much as a glimpse at it? But his backstory has been HINTED and TEASED at multiple times??

Like. I am SURE the "Full Backstories for Heroes Only" rule is going to get broken again, but with Imu and Blackbeard already there just BEGGING to have their beans spilled, can we even be sure Sir Fucking Crocodile is somehow going to become A Villain So Dangerous To The Narrative that he ALSO should also recieve a Full Fucking Backstory?? For his Nefarious Schemes?? AT THIS POINT??

Yeah that's exactly what I meant in the tags. I like the idea of the Berryheart family having Sparkledog hair with the distinct striped raccoon tail bang.

This sort of thing, if you know you know.

What gives me pause isn't this not being "a fun family," but more that I want to make sure the Rowanstar Family's two-striped mane remains distinct. This is essentially a mane with a more "localized" stripe, if you get me, so I fear it would have overlap with BB!Heartstar's mohawk.

Plus, this lineage really "starts" with Snowbird and her brother Ratscar. Since Snowbi is so influential to the tree and Ratscar is so important to BB!Blackstar's expanded redemption arc, it's especially important that whatever trait that defines this family is particularly distinct.

I want it to IMMEDIATELY define the family at a glance so "the viewer" sees, in the design, that a particular cat is (or is no longer, depending on family tree changes) a member of this group.

Hmm... maybe that's another point in its favor, though. I could have Spireclaw cut his bang off to symbolize that he's disowning his mother, when she threatens Fringewhisker.
