Sorry I've been gone awhile guys, but I randomly decided to start a stupidly useless animatic no that one asked for at GODKNOWSWHAT time in the morning while I have my Finals kicking my arse. (And the fact that I'm an animation student means that most of my school-works are also animatic or storyboard based on top of my papers & presentations. WHYYY-) So yeah. Drawing for my #HHStargazersAU has been in the back burner for bit, but NOT abandoned!!! I assure you! For now, I'm fleshing out the lore of it more while I give ya'll a sneak peek of my current project as compensation. Something to look forward to I guess:

P.S. Vox is surprisingly REALLY easy to draw for me as this was my first try and I didn't even sketch! His expression is really fun for me.

Sorry ya'll I'm alive!!! I've just been taking a small break because alot happened the past week and it's been taking a toll on my headspace so I think I'm ready to jump in and do some reacts and headcanons.

August is almost over too and that's c r a z y.

Good Morning! It's been too long...

It was such a lovely weekend! The husband and I had a really good talk this weekend about some things we've really needed to talk about. He's been having a ton of anxiety which he's been attaching to crazy, small, and meaningless things like, "We have too many streaming subscriptions and we must decide which ones to cancel." Generally things in that vein. I'm like, "I do not care at all. Cancel whatever you want. It's not about this. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOU!?" Lol Turns out, he's feeling the need to make a work change and is terrified of examining that. We talked it through and have a plan now, and I swear you could physically see the anxiety dissipate. It's still scary to explore big career changes, but I think he feels confident that I support him and that we will be fine even if he takes a fairly significant pay cut. In his family, money is the ultimate sign of success, but that has never been the case for me, and I've been telling him for YEARS as he continues to advance (and thus continues to do less and less of the actual type of work he enjoys) that it's not necessary for our family's security that he do that. Now, he's facing a really huge promotion and a position that--to me--sounds fucking awful, so hell yeah I support him looking for something else. Money's cool. Happiness is better.

Work is going well. I have several clients doing some AMAZING things and I'm so freakin proud of them. Look at these little cards I got for my notes to them! Love them so much!

Chapter 2: Poison in Your Mind

Can I have Hiro for the ask game?

I'm usually drawn to brightly colored engines like Percy or Molly, but god, I can't take my eyes off Hiro.

1. Much like Arthur, Hiro has never had an accident prior to coming to Sodor, though Hiro's wasn't as bad as Arthur's. He just derailed a few trucks when the points were set against him.

2. Hiro's post HOTR visit was only supposed to be for a little while, but then Henry had an accident and Hiro volunteered to help out for a while. Then, when Henry was repaired, Murdoch had an accident, and then Gordon once Murdoch was repaired and so on. Luckily, Hiro took it all in stride.

3. Hiro is the only engine who spends as much time in Henry's Forest as Henry himself. In fact, Henry's the one who showed him the place (And silently scoffed when he learned Thomas had taken Hiro to Misty Island)

4. This man tells so many stories when he's not working. He doesn't have as many as Edward (Rusting away in the woods for decades will do that to ya) but he tells them way more often than the older engine. Someone even suggested he write a biography.

5. Hiro doesn't mind silence or being idle, but he hates it with a passion when he's alone. Thomas and the others have picked up on it and try not to leave him alone unless he asks them to.

Writers Block

Okay, so I'm trying to write part 5 of "Shell-Shock" and I've gone through about 4 different beginnings and none of them are working for me. Something just isn't flowing with the beginning.

However, I know what scene I want to incorporate into part 5, so that's what this is.

Below is going to be an excerpt of one of the scenes I'm trying to get to. I just need to figure out how to get to it.

Wage suddenly found herself throw back against the wall. It felt like all her nerves were on end, itching and tingling in every fiber of her body. She took in a breath that had been lost upon impact, staring up with wide eyes into blue ones. "Wh-What are you doing!?"

Lou took slow steps toward her, a dangerous look in those glowing iris'. "You're delusional if you think you can just bail out now."

"Lou," Nolan had his hands out; brave enough to touch the blond, but not stupid enough to commit. "Let's just take a step back and think about this, alright? She's not actually leaving."

"Speak for yourself," Wage spat, her body still held against the wall by some unseen force. "Not my circus," she glared at Nolan, "not my monkey," she panned her glare to Lou. "I'm done tryin' to fix this possessed puppet. Let the factory do somethin' if he's such a problem."

"Oh no," Lou's upper lip curled up in a sarcastic smile. The itching feeling in Wage's body multiplied as he stepped toward her again. She squeezed her eyes shut a little from the discomfort, but she couldn't move. "You said yesterday that you'd help. You can't just toss me to someone else just because you're tired of trying."

The orange doll grunted. The sparks around Lou's hand elicited a brighter glow in their frenzied state. "I'm not gonna wait and get myself killed just for your sake!"

Lou was right in front of her now, noses almost touching. Her eyes widened just a tad. Just enough for him to know she was afraid of what he would do. What he could do. He felt -- like a strange sixth sense -- the electrodes of her microfibers moving faster as her heartrate increased. It made his pupils dilate and everything around him suddenly seemed to bombard his awareness. Every atom that comprised the world could be felt. The way they moved and bounced against each other. How the solid atoms of the walls shoved and pushed just to keep the matter solid.

He felt the atoms the comprised himself pushing against those of the floor. How they never touched, but somehow repelled each other by a magnetic field.

The blond came to just enough to register the rapid movement of electrodes from the surrounding dolls. Nolan's was strongest given his proximity. About two feet away from what Lou could sense.

His breath evened out and Wage swallowed as his pupils dilated back to normal. The glow of his iris' didn't die out. Lou spoke softly, threateningly, "You got me into this mess...now you're gonna get me out." He looked back and forth between both of her eyes. "Am I clear?"

Wage grit her teeth, jaw tight as a rush of anger from the coercive authority filled her. Her body remained bound to the wall. The energy that rippled through her got stronger suddenly and she winced.

"Am I clear?" Lou repeated, hissing through his teeth.

Wage swallowed, huffing out a struggling breath before meeting his eyes through squinted ones. "C-Clear."

Her body was released from its visible restrains and she fell to the floor on her knees. Lou didn't bother seeing the reactions of the others before turning on his heel and walking down the hall. He needed peace and quiet.
