4. A piece you wish got more love

Probably most of my content that isn’t TF related! Would love more interactions on my OC/Sona and other fandom content, especially my BG3 art right now, but I also understand as someone who’s interest based why that stuff usually doesn’t perform well djxndjdj

A lot of people follow an artist for one particular thing and when they don’t make that particular thing, people usually aren’t that interested unless you followed an artist for their style or something (is my assumption anyways djdjdjdj)

But I will say the non TF content that I think was really well received was my Spidersona <3 I got a wonderful fanart piece for her and I’m so happy people loved her design cause I was also really proud and happy with how she turned out. 16. How do you motivate yourself to draw?

I’m honestly still figuring that one out lol

I usually only draw when I want to since I’m not an artist who relies on commissions or the like to keep myself afloat. But I’ve also been hitting an art funk as of late and while I do want to draw, it’s been really hard to draw cause of the skill I want to incorporate in my drawings now. It either takes me longer or I end up hating the process because of how long it takes or because of how hard it is. So that effects my motivation heavily because all the cons stated above is what makes me not want to draw 😅

I’m currently trying to find a balance of what makes me happy while drawing and how to make my art look good to myself again since I’ve been hating it so much. I’ve been looking into different techniques, learning more in depth lighting and shading techniques and need to do more anatomy studies as that’s getting rusty again and I’ve been getting lazy cjxndjdj

All in all, I still draw when I want to, but I think the big motivating factor is wanting to see the end product. I just want to be able to finish the WIPS I have and the visions I see in my head and get them out into the world so others can see them too. I wanna say that I finally made that thing or actually did it!! That’s probably my biggest motivating factor right now. But we’re still figuring it out 😊

33. Have you taken a lot of art classes?

I took a handful as a kid, got to play with pastels once, made clay art, learned photoshop, learned to paint, a whole bunch of stuff! My parents have always been very supportive of my art and really helped foster a lot of that so I went to plenty of classes through out my childhood and teen years.

When I was in college, the last classes I took were all for my bachelors (which I dropped out of later on cjcjdjfj). I think the most helpful one was my life drawing class though. I’m gonna do one of those stereotypical artist things where I *highly* recommend you take a life drawing class if you want to learn more about anatomy or different techniques to implement into your art. They’re so good for growing your skill massively in a short period of time. My first drawings we did for gesture drawing look horrid compared to my later studies!

Always always always take a life drawing class if you’re able!

What’s with all the boblin the goblin stuff:

Boblin the goblin is the mascot for a fan project for another fandom that I’m no longer actively apart of. This isn’t for any particular reason or anyone’s fault, it just lost a lot momentum and I lost motivation. I’m still apart of the discord for it and do still hold a lot of love for the project, I just haven’t been active on discord or in the project in many months. (I won’t be naming this project for many of the same reasons as I won’t link my main blog, except with less paranoia and more basis involved).

This blog was supposed to be a bit blog in celebration of boblin, even though it ended up only making one post. I didn’t want to waste this sideblog as I already have too many, but I still think that it’s a fun relic of my earlier days on tumblr, so that post, and the blog looks will stay the same.

Same as it Ever Was (Eddie Munson x Reader)

I don’t know how many times I have to repost this story but I will continue to fight to be seen on this page, no matter how many times I get shadow banned. Let’s talk about how I’m treating stories featuring Eddie. He is a comfort character, I can say he is my ideal boyfriend. If I’m having a hard day and laying in bad sulking, I think about Eddie wrapping his arms around me. And thanks to my new job, it was built in the 80s and has that 80s aesthetic (because they’re too lazy to change it up. To keep it anonymous, it’s an entertainment center, with an arcade, bowling, roller rink, mini golf, go-karts, and laser tags (also bumper cars but no one like bumper cars), it’s a place to host a kid’s birthday party. It is the perfect setting for a Stranger Things/80s story. So let’s just cut to the fluff and expect more stories more related to my job. I hope you enjoy

Once in a Lifetime - Talking Heads

That night was…weird, that day as a whole was strange. You were cuddled up with your boyfriend Eddie, messing with his mop of a perm like always, but you didn’t look like your typical, happy self, you looked…somber. Eddie knew he didn’t want to see his Precious ball of energy so sad and tired, that’s not a good way to end the day. He pressed.

“Why the long face, sweetheart?” He asked, cupping your cheeks, squishing them a bit, making you do a fish face. You exhaled, softly laughing. You started to smile again, and a sigh of relief came from Eddie. “Seriously though, what made you so down, babe?”

You sighed, leaning into his chest, still toying with his hair, your other hand toying with one of his rings. You would fiddle with his rings if something made you anxious, and judging from how slow you were turning it around his finger, it was something that made you feel…indifferent? “I don’t know…it’s just been,” there was a long pause, trying to find the right words to say. You let out a deep sigh, “it’s been a weird night…before I came over.”

Eddie tilted his head, he combed through your scalp, placing his chin on the top of your head. “Was this about your parents,” he asked, you nodded slowly, “was this about us dating?” He asked again. There was another pause until you shook your head. 

“I mean, technically it was about us, but not like, negatively,” you stood up, breaking Eddie’s embrace, “during dinner, I told them about our date to the movies, about how we got an intense sugar high from all that soda and we were laughing like a bunch of drunk idiots.” you laughed a little louder, recalling you two getting weird looks from the movie-goers, but you didn’t care.

Your laughter faded and your smile was gone, remember what happened…after. “I told them everything and there was…nothing. Not a ‘glad you had fun’ or any snarky comment, just…silence. It felt so off because dinner is never like that. We’re always talking about what we did that day, we have something to add to the story but just…nothing.” you felt tears trying to come out.

Eddie though had a fast reaction time. Without another word, he pulled you into a tight embrace, he could feel his shirt getting wet from your held-back tears. He tried to calm you down by rubbing your ear, his rings grazed your skin, giving you a chill.

“Do my parents hate me now?” You asked a bit choked up.

He bit his lip, figuring out how to word his answer. “Honestly…no,” you looked up at him, tears staining your skin, “my advice, don’t think about it too much. Maybe your parents had a bad day and just…don’t want to talk about it. We all those days. Maybe tomorrow, things will go back to the way they were.”

“God I hope,” your speech was muffled by his shirt, gripping onto it so hard making him lean closer to you, you both started to chuckle, “for now though, I think I’ll stay here for the night. My room is going to get so hot I’m probably going to have to strip naked.” You giggled.

“Hmm, I think I won’t mind you still getting naked.” He purred into your neck making you squeal in excitement. That night ended with so much girly giggling, a night to remember. Your moments with Eddie, when it’s just the two of you, alone in his room, are something you always cherish.

this was originally going to be a much longer proper meta about crowley’s crowleyness and how it relates to the fall and fandom perception of him that i was too lazy to finish, but fine lol. ill try and summarize 

form shapes nature. crowley, like all the other angels was made with intrinsic qualities to do a specific job. rather generously given attributes that other angels (and demons) categorically don't have. and given an important position in the Grand Design process, i assume, given he has at least some  knowledge of it they don't, and talks about that as if it were a personal discussion [''you said you'd be testing them'']

now fandom tends to make the assumption that ''asking questions'' alone  got crowley booted because that's *one* of the rationalizations he gives for his fall. but ''asking questions'' isn't inherently wrong. it would be unfathomably sadistic to design something with that ability,  for a purpose,  and then punish them for it in and of itself??

or people assume that he must have resigned in moral protest after asking questions and finding out Heaven was shit or something. but the dude is 100% not invested in philosophical concerns or debate about the nature of Right vs Wrong, he’s an amoral douchebag. that's kind of the point.

another idea you see floating around fandom is the idea that he was totally lying and there’s another reason he actually fell. i don’t think he’s *lying* per se. he’s downplaying and omitting some stuff, because abrogating responsibility is what crowley does, but there’s no real reason for him to lie- particularly in the scenes where he’s most emotionally vulnerable about it.  and his story is overall consistent when you piece it together.

it’s not a mystery. he gives a bunch of different rationalizations but only one story of what actually happened. put ''asking questions'' in context with the rest of the narrative he gives.

‘’I never asked to be a demon. I was just minding my own business one day and then, looky here, it’s Lucifer and the guys, they say, hey, Crowley, my man, we’re just on our way to discuss the whole job conditions and career advancement thing, so, okay, the food hadn’t been that good lately, I’d got nothing on for the rest of that afternoon, next thing I know I’m doing a million-light-year freestyle dive into a pool of boiling sulphur.’’

‘‘lucifer and the lads started a union’‘ is the catalyst for the war / the fall. he has no reason to be lying about that, in this scene, he’s completely sloshed mid-existential crisis and wailing in a bar about it.

but he is downplaying / omitting some context there. how much foreknowledge of ‘’lucifer and the guy’s job conditions and advancement thing’’ did you have, then, crowley?

and... think about it. what is the exact thing crowley *would* do, if his buddy had a goal and not the means to attain it, eh?

identify the need, ask questions, clarify the objective... etc

that’s his job description, that’s what he does, what else would he be doing in that situation.

now from *his* perspective, those actions would be neutral-- he is not, himself, personally invested in the ‘’career advancement discussion’’ (still isn’t, in the present), it’s not *his* proposal or his objective, nothing to do with him, just minding his own business really, just tagging along, just asking questions...

heaven disagrees- he betrayed the position that he held, what he did was in service of the wrong team, and that team lost. so. 

bam. boiling sulphur for you, champ.

now he has one point of contention with the whole situation and its not moral or philosophical or anything like that. it’s that the consequences for being on the wrong team weren’t stipulated in advance. he never *asked* to be a demon, he didn’t *mean* to fall, nobody said *that* would be the consequence of fucking around.

and-- because of that, he’s not sure at what point he actually fell, or how to define what that even means. he’s not sure if it was a gradual process or sudden,  himself, because he has no reference point for where it *started*, only where it ended. nobody said where the line was, exactly, before he crossed it- and he’s still not getting answers.

that’s why the apparent contradictions in his story-- he has bits and pieces of a sequence of events he can’t quite piece together into a cohesive narrative, himself. and he’s the exact sort of person that would go batshit trying to resolve the missing links in a chain of cause an effect, an engineer brain. which is why he gets stuck ruminating on and angsting and protesting about it, because he needs it to make sense.

he wouldn’t do that, if he’d just quit in protest one day-  there’d be a clear line of cause and effect, if he’d had what he felt was an informed choice in the matter.

your basic narrative is right there though- he fucked up. naive of the consequences or not, he sided with the Ra Ra Let’s Overthrow God guys and got punted to the basement for it.

Been thinking about that post (which I’m too lazy to hunt for now) thats says fictional characters are not real people: they are characters that drive a narrative.

I’ve been away from the Rick and Morty fandom for a few years and I’m just getting back into it and some of the takes I see on the tag are unrelatable to me. Namely people saying things like “I’m so done with Rick because he did this awful thing.” And...I don’t get it? Like, it was immediately obvious from day one that he is a bad person.

In the very first episode he gets so drunk he builds a neutrino bomb and threatens to drop it on the city. He gets his grandson to shove megaseeds up his butt to smuggle through customs because he doesn’t want to do it himself. He’s manipulative and selfish (and fun to watch). As the narrative progresses we learn that he is a deeply traumatized man that has to learn to love people again after tremendous loss, and while learning to do that he is still an awful human being with too much power who uses that trauma as an excuse to be really shitty to other people. But, every time he does something bad I don’t think: “this character has personally wronged me.” He’s a vehicle that drives the story, not a real person. So, I dunno... it’s odd to me when people get angry about his shit behaviour.

I’m not saying I don’t relate to fictional characters. I relate to the struggles with mental health, as I was an awful person in my twenties who hurt people through my actions, whether I realized it or not. I got treatment and therapy. So I like watching Rick slowly get there while kicking and screaming. I want to see this character grow and fail and grow and fail again. R & M would be a boring show to me without that conflict.

Jo walked into the attending’s lounge and was relieved to see only Meredith sitting at the table and eating a snack. She let her shoulders sink, not bothering to hide her exhaustion like she did around everyone else as she walked over to the couch. She crawled into the pillows head first and curled up. It had only been a few weeks since she found out she was pregnant, and in that time, she was throwing up sometimes several times a day. However, every time she tried to lay down, her heartburn and indigestion flared up, and she realized she had to pee again. It was a no-win situation and Jo was exhausted.

“Rough day?” Meredith asked, although Jo only responded with a groan.

She rolled over and turned her head out from the pillow as she looked over at Meredith. “I feel like shit. All I want to do is puke and sleep. I have no idea how I made it through the past week, let alone how I'll manage the next seven and a half months. Please tell me if this gets better?”

“What gets better?” Meredith said, standing up and walking over to her. “What's going on, Jo, are you all right?”

Despite Meredith's deep look of concern, Jo could only smile. “Alex didn't tell you?”

“Tell me what?” Meredith asked, raising an eyebrow at her. 

Jo was surprised. She thought for sure that Alex would have spilled the beans by now, but he hadn’t. Luckily for her, she didn't have to explain it as Alex came into the room.

“Hey,” Alex said, he had a smile on his face that quickly dropped as he knitted his eyebrows together when he took in Meredith’s worried look. “What's going on? Is everything okay?”

“I think I should be asking you that question?” Meredith asked, crossing her arms and raising one eyebrow at him. 

Jo just smiled from her spot on the couch as she sat up and looked over at Alex as he looked between them. “You didn't tell her?”

Alex had a look of oh, before he smiled and walked over to sit next to her. “Well, you asked me not to.”

“What is going on!” Meredith demanded, glaring at both of them, despite how they just smiled.

Alex looked over at her, silently asking for her permission and Jo just nodded.

“We're having a baby. Jo’s pregnant,” Alex said, smiling up at Meredith before he looked back at her. 

His eyes seemed to sparkle with the same excitement he always had when he talked about their baby. He was so excited to be a dad, and Jo loved watching him get excited about every little baby related thing. Even if he did go overboard on buying baby clothes. 

“Really?” Meredith asked, her face lighting up as she smiled.

“Yeah,” Jo and Alex said as they smiled too. 

“Well congratulations you two,” Meredith said, coming over and wrapping them both up in a hug before she pulled back and punched Alex's arm. “I can't believe you kept this from me.”

“Ow,” Alex rubbed his arm as he hid behind Jo’s shoulder. 

“Don't be mad at him,” Jo said, smiling over at Alex before looking back at Meredith. “I just wanted to keep it between the two of us for a little while.”

“I get that,” Meredith said, looking over at Jo with a softer smile. “And to answer your original question, it does get better. The second trimester is a lot easier.”

“Thank you, Meredith,” Jo said, reaching out to pull her in for a hug as Meredith wrapped her arms around her.

She remembered what it was like when Meredith was just Alex's friend. Jo always felt like she was on the outside of their friendship. She wasn't sure what changed, but she remembered what Meredith said about not wanting to see Alex get hurt. She guessed that things changed once Meredith realized that Jo wasn't going to hurt Alex. Jo loved that Meredith was her friend now and that they had the opportunity to work together on the mini livers and form a friendship of their own. She couldn't wait for their baby to meet their Aunt Mer and she knew Meredith would love their baby too. 

“Alright, well, I have a surgery,” Meredith said, pulling back. “But Jo, peppermint tea and ginger ales helps with the nausea, and if you ever need anything, I'd be happy to help.”

“I will thank you Meredith.” 

“Yeah, thanks Mer,” Alex said as they both watched her slip out of the room.

Alex pressed a kiss against her shoulder before he moved to get up as well. “Alright, well, I got to take a shower. One of the babies peed on me.”

“Ew and you sat next to me with your pee stained shirt,” Jo said, wrinkling her nose as she sat back.

“Relax, Jo, I jumped back in time so that it only landed on my pants and my shoes,” Alex said, looking down at his feet as his sneakers squeaked on the floor while he walked over to the bathroom.

“Okay,” Jo said with a yawn as she curled up on the couch again. “Can we get pizza for dinner?”

“Yeah, we can get whatever you want,” Alex said as Jo looked up to catch his happy smile as he stared at her, and she returned his smile with one of her own before he slipped into the bathroom. She heard the water start running as she closed her eyes. She only intended to rest for a few minutes, but before she knew it, she was fast asleep.

Jo smiled as she drifted into consciousness with the feel of Alex's lips against her cheek. His lips placed feathered kisses across her face and she felt his hand on her belly over their baby. She reached down to squeeze his hand as she hummed and opened her eyes. Alex pulled back, his face only inches from hers as a smile spread across his features. 

“Hey, Sleeping Beauty, are you ready to go home?” Alex asked as he leaned in and kissed her lips. Jo moaned as she wrapped her arms around his neck, keeping him there just a little while longer before he pulled back.

Alex slowly pulled himself away from her, but not before leaning in to kiss her forehead again. His hand on her belly was the last bit of him to leave her before he got up. He went over to the cabinet and got their bags and her clothes out of their shelves. Jo allowed herself to be lazy as she slowly woke up, especially now that it was harder to get up right away with her nausea. She watched Alex move around the attending’s lounge and smiled as she remembered their conversation with Meredith earlier.

“What?” Alex asked, catching her eyes and her smile. 

“Why didn't you tell Meredith that I'm pregnant?” Jo asked as she watched him just shrug.

“You asked me not to,” Alex said as he packed up his case folders.

“I know, but I just thought that you'd let it slip or that she'd figure it out. When I asked you not to, I just wanted it to be our little secret for a while, but I think I’m ready to start telling people,” Jo said as she slowly sat up and waited to see if her nausea would pop up as she put a hand on her belly. 

“You told Link, didn’t you?” Alex asked, glancing up at her with a knowing smirk.

“No,” Jo said, immediately denying it as she crossed her arms and pouted. “He figured it out after I made a bad excuse as to why I couldn’t go out drinking with him.”

 Alex let out a laugh as he finished collecting their things. “Ready to go home?”

Jo nodded and leaned back against the couch with a nod. She didn't want to get dressed. If she could, she would go home in her scrubs and crawl in bed just as she was. She looked at the clock and realized she hadn’t been asleep for very long and she couldn’t wait to get in the car so she could fall asleep again. 

Alex came over and smirked at her before he sat down on the coffee table and reached for the hem of her scrub top. She let him strip her out of her scrubs and only fought him off halfheartedly when he tried to pull her shirt over her head. He finally relented and let her dress herself, but arranged her jeans so she could just step into them, and he dragged them up her legs. Jo relented and finally let him help her, if only because she was about ten seconds away from falling asleep again. 

“And don’t think I’m too tired for pizza,” Jo said, as Alex helped her into her coat.

“I’ll be sure to pick it up on the way home, regardless of whether you're awake or not,” Alex said, his eyes soft as he stared at her, and she bit her lip to keep from yawning.

Soon enough, they were both dressed and ready to go home. Jo leaned into him as she closed her eyes and let him guide her out of the hospital. As they walked, Alex had one arm around her, placing the other hand on her belly over their baby where everyone could see.

Definitely Three Nights. My only fic w/a sad ending (which is why I wrote Three More Nights b/c I couldn’t handle having a sad ending. I had to fix it.)

I honestly couldn’t say. I’m here to have a good time and to make sure all my favs also have a good time, so I’m always actively trying to give them the happiest possible endings.

Yes. It was kinda funny b/c out of all the fics, it was “Me” a 5k deathshipping one shot that is one of my least popular works. But like...I don’t really think they were *trying* to steal it so much as homage it? But they were too young and unskilled to know how to rework something properly, so it was almost an exact copy of my fic. I tried to go over it and show them how to rewrite parts in order for it to be more original (Like, you can give YM piercings, just don’t give him the exact same piercings. You can have YM play with his hair/clothes/presentation in order to explore his identity, but pick different things that are more unique and how *you* would imagine YM being as his own person, instead of just copying exactly what I did).

Lots! I love colabs <3 The last one I did was Conspire With You, but there was also A Way Home, and I’ve co-written a few things with SuperSteffy. Please support all the other writers who worked hard on these fics with me! (kudo-bomb the hell out of them)

I can’t...choose one. Thiefshipping and Deathshipping were my first favorites, but like...damn, Kingshipping and Trapshipping have honestly ruined me. And Arrestshipping...Euroshipping...Rustshipping...Boundshipping...LISTEN!!! If it’s any combination of Seto/Atem/Yugi/TKB-YB/Ryou B/YamiMa/Malik it’s my favorite, okay? I’m a dragon who hoards ships. Especially polyships. I will literally froth at the mouth at any combo of those 7. Now let’s move on to the next question before I add more characters to the list........

14 - what’s a wip that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

That demon/angel au I was working on years and years ago. A shame, since I think there was a lemon that spilled into 3 chapters in that and it’s what Bakura deserves, but the plot was just...meh. 

15/16 - writing strengths and weaknesses

Strengths: Dialogue, sometimes imagery, projecting the right trauma/personality traits on the right characters in a way that can make scenes relatable/authentic. 

Weaknesses: I can be lazy with some plot points b/c it’s fanfiction, and I’m only here to have a good time, so eff it. And I will absolutely “sum up” certain chapters in order to finish a story at 80% potential. Anons used to get on my ass about this, and some commenters too, but I refuse to repent of my hasty ways. I write a lot of stories, and sometimes it’s better to get 3 80% stories out instead of one 100% story (for me. absolutely nothing wrong with ppl who want to write their best all the time. Like, mad respect to those peeps). Anyway, the ppl who complain are 100% accurate, right, and valid, but again, If you call me out on this I’ll just shrug at you and remind you of my commission prices b/c I’ll be happy to personally tailor a story for any angry anon-- if they want to put their money where their critique is *blows kiss*

Depends on the context and how it’s used.

I honestly love so many of my stories. I honestly re-read my own stuff all the time for comfort/self-care. I especially love a lot of the more intense, emotional pwp one-shots. It’s extremely difficult to pick one, but let’s go with humor and link

Gotta love Bakura’s monster **** And the interaction involved with writing that story made it so much more fun. I really miss the days where you could slap a vote on tumblr and get a lot of responses, and dammit I miss Abby throwing random things into my ask box (like Bakura’s monster ****)

we as consumers (the ones who only read) are most at fault here i think bc the writers always ask and the ones with beautifully written 5k words almost beg for readers to interact/reblog so it spreads and gets to other people(i am at fault here too im a social anxiety ridden person) and because of this lack of interaction the "shitty" or plain or whatever gets more interactions... on other side there are also lazy ass people that don't wanna read 5k words (their loss lol) and stick with the plain ooc shitty cookie cutter stories, the ones who get the spotlight unfortunately...

For the five hundred and fifty two years I've been on this site I will say there was a definitive switch between supporting content creators (of any media) and now expecting things to be spoon fed them in the simplest way without feeling an obligation to return the favor with even the meager of feedback. I wouldn't say it went down hill when Tumblr did it's purge bc honestly it was going downhill before that. It was like one month people were excited to share their hyperfixations and fandoms. And now no one wants to do anything bc of the cringe worthy puritan culture that has swept through most social medias. This focus on likes only, popularity and being a god send famous person is just so fucking weird to me. Anymore anyone is so afraid to even entertain the idea that they would consume something "unsanitary" and then get in trouble for it that it's reached its way to the creators. Many have stopped bc of hate. Many have stopped for fear of hate. Just as many have stopped bc its just not worth it anymore. It's frankly sad bc now "trendy" things are the only thing that sells. Tik tok reaction crap, daddy kinks, uwu sub babies, etc. This very tiny box of what's "ok" has doubled down on so many people just straight up quitting. These things that have been deemed "acceptable" while other things get demonized.

And this goes for non sexual items too. Wanna write best friends au? Unrealistic, bull crap, "never happens". But twelve dozen people wanna write a mafia au? Great, brilliant, "totally plausible". A lot of people complain about the sexual factors of fandoms but honestly fluff is just as looked down on unless it's exactly how this mass decided it to be. It use to be in fandoms you could find so much. Oh my god there was so so so much you could find. If you thought of it, you could find it. But now its the same idea regurgitated fifty times. I get people enjoying what they enjoy (I for one enjoy friendships and mutual pining and such) but the fact that everything else gets shoved to the side bc the majority doesn't "want it" and then others are "too afraid" to engage frankly means more and more writers are going to leave and not come back. And it's sad really bc so many writers are wonderful and great but no one wants to support them. I understand being anxiety riddled. I didn't start posting even online half a decade after I started writing. I kept everything on a note app and interacted with no one when I did get brave enough to post online in the small fandoms I was in. So the anxiety thing I get but at some point you have to decide if it's worth more to lurk and watch your content creators and friends leave. Or to support them and others.

Make entirely new blog. Give no defining traits to yourself. Don't even have to talk to anyone if you don't want to. But reblogging (with proper tags) means a million different things to artists of all kind. You don't even have to leave a comment. Simply reblogging something and making sure it can be spread through proper tags in the fandom means the world to creators and it's so small but keeps us going. I do it here on my blog all the time. I'm not an avid reader but I adore art and reblog the crap out of characters I might not even like. Just so that artist knows "hey, someone saw this and they want more people to see it bc its amazing"

This isn't meant to be mean spirited or a lecture but frankly Tumblr is going to loose a lot of its media and its sad to watch it go down the drains. But on the brightside ao3 is still wonderful and a heavenly place to post fics! The traffic is wonderful and to any fic writers who haven't signed up for it I really suggest it. All the fandoms I've posted in so far have been really engaging and lots of people even comment which is just such a serotonin boost. If you haven't started cross posting on ao3 I highly suggest it

6. List your OTP from each fandom you’ve been involved in.

I'm kind of odd in that Death Note is the only fandom I've ever really participated within to any extent! I am usually too lazy to actually dive into fan content and shipping with most of the other media I enjoy, or I don't end up with the same unresolved feelings and curiosity about the series that I did with this one after finishing it. My OTP for this one is Lawlight for sure! HOWEVER thinking back to my teens, I totally would have been into The Vampire Chronicles fandom back then if Anne Rice had actually allowed people to write fic about her characters, lol. I would have loved to see some sort of Louis/Lestat/Armand OT3 triangle going on, they were my faves by far, and I loved all three of them together in various ways...

9. What are the best things about your current fandom?

I've met some of the nicest and funniest and smartest and most talented people here! I've learned so much from so many, and they always make me laugh and think and inspire me creatively from afar. Tag Fact #3 -  I’ve come to realize I’ve always been a fan artist more than I thought. so here is a timeline of influences that shaped my childhood to now. from nostalgic times, to sad changes, to great loss, to strange rises to fame and phases, to stepping stones and finally a laughing place. all the things that make up your favorite fan artist Tag.

1. Rayman (bumped into this in the year of 1999) was actually the first fandom (with crossovers) I bumped into when I was 9. although the internet wasn’t available at the time it was still fun to dwell in home amusements. I remember the storylines and the OC’s I made but they’re kind of embarrassing and it’s probably a good thing there was no internet. I’ve done fanart and comic crossovers of Rayman with Calvin and Hobbs and Nights Into Dreams, spinoffs of Sonic the Hedgehog OC’s, Yoshi with Pikachu, and the Pokemon/Digimon craze with OC’s and other Nintendo comic shorts. but the drawings and comics are long gone and disappeared in the garage in a backpack due to suspecting my sister’s dad accidentally throwing them away. years later towards the year 2018 (now 28), we decided to move to North Carolina and it was my chance to find them again. unfortunately the backpack was gone just like I suspected (my main stuff), but for some reason I found my Pokemon/Digimon fanart, a good batch of Super Mario drawings (vaguely remember doing these), my sister’s drawings and some other neighborhood kids’ drawings in a dirty box. I was partially happy I found something at least but it was the backpack I wanted the most. sometimes I regret not looking for the backpack (’cause I was too busy being a kid) but it’s alright, noone needs to see that shit anyway, ha ha. anyways, I recall being a fan of Rayman from 1999 ‘til 2002.

2. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (bumped into this in the year of 2003) my second fandom I bumped into when I was 12 going on 13. at the time, my sister and I both liked the Sonic The Hedgehog Franchise based on the Battle remake and ended up making our own secret fanart club that consisted of only us two members. she liked Sonic (and that was her boyfriend, ha ha) and I liked Knuckles (and he was my boyfriend, ha ha) and we were crazy in love about Shadow’s backstory. we listened to the game’s soundtracks as we drew fanart and comics after school and man, those were good times. however, as we grew older towards the year of 2005, we ended up having separate rooms and I believe it played a part in disconnecting on the same interest. then one day, I asked her why she wasn’t into Sonic anymore and she replied, “Because I grew up.” I was sad after that and slowly observed that she was influenced by the emo culture and the new friends she’s made. I was the only member of our little club for a little longer...but eventually I moved on too. I still have some surviving fanart we did together but it doesn’t mean shit anymore since she turned out to be an abusive mother from the last I’ve heard of her. 

3. Gorillaz (bumped into this in the year of 2006). as the Sonic years were at its end, I first heard the song “Feel Good Inc” on Music Choice and seeing the first image of them as displayed on this post (except the fan-made background doesn’t count since I can’t find the original artwork). this was my third fandom and later had proper access to the internet to the website I still currently use called DeviantArt. at first I liked 2D but eventually fell for Murdoc and developed a spiritual connection towards the character as obviously seen in my old fanart and rare photos of my devotion shrines on Valentine’s Day and his birthday every year. for the longest time since being a permanent fan from 2006-2017 (11 1/2 years) I had no knowledge that it was a political propaganda band and other realizations I don’t want to talk about. I only followed them because it was a cartoon and not the bullshit behind the musical project. the world I’ve built and support for them for all those 11 1/2 years shattered the fuck out of me and I just wanted to be left alone to find myself again, somehow. activity stopped on all my profiles, the flow of fanart stopped since I now cringe from the fan service and felt I was used for my talent. I didn’t want to be reminded of it all so I took down all my Gorillaz fanart and archived them for old followers’ nostalgia but also in the hopes they’ll be forgotten in my timeline. I ceased to exist in the fandom for huge personal reasons but it’s best to not say why. I know for sure that the fandom wonders what happened but it’s none of their business. THE END.

4. Waluigi (although I knew he’s been around since 2000 during childhood, I took deep interest once I revisited the character again in the year of December 2013). as silly as this sounds, when I revisited him again, the character was so bizarre that I ended up staying up 3 nights and 3 days in a row just looking all over the internet on everything about him and the questionable “hush-hush” absence of a backstory. despite there being no backstory he slowly gained a cult following and in many ways it’s a good thing. however, since the early 2010′s tension has been building up between Nintendo and its fans about him starring in a main game but everyone hasn’t fully gotten it in their heads that it’s not gonna happen. as long as Nintendo is in control of that, the fandom will not win, I’m sorry to say. on the other hand, if it’s going to be this way, then that’s what fanart and comic projects are for. as for me, I am doing my very best to get my comic project “Waluigi Land” going. again, I apologize if it’s taking very long to get Chapter 2 going if you’ve been keeping track but aha moments need to develop before I start permanent drawing (since concepts, character design and storyline needed improvement badly). as of right now I am still a Waluigi fan and I will not quit on him.

5. Turbo from Wreck-It-Ralph (although it debuted in 2012, I watched the movie two years later into the year 2014). for some bizarro reason, I had an unhealthy obsession with this character to the point where I dressed up as him for Halloween 2014. only 2 fanarts of him and the Turbo Twins exist on my profiles, mainly because my mind was more focused on just ‘thinking about him’ or ‘being him’ rather than drawing physical drawings. luckily, this supposed alleged fandom didn’t last long a little after Halloween so I chalk it up as a very short phase. to this day I don’t know what has gotten over me about him. the only thing I can think of now is that I think it’s because the character had yellow eyes and teeth but I don’t know. now that I think of it, that little fucker was ugly as hell and I STILL don’t know what had gotten over me. one day, my brother mentioned what that was about, and I said to him, “I don’t wanna talk about it.”

6. Undertale (although it debuted in 2015, I later took interest in it in 2016). It was all about Sans and Papyrus. I couldn’t get enough of the skeleton bros. eventually Toriel and Mettaton EX became my favorites but it took a long time to draw more of all 4 of them because I had other important things to do in my life plus I was still waiting for the next Gorillaz album to revive my imaginative juices (or so I thought). I really want to have this as one of my frequent fandoms but I just don’t have time for it anymore. it’s still in the back of my head to want to draw them but at this point I still have other better interests to be in. and besides, I’m lazy just like Sans.

7. Cuphead (June 28th, 2017 was the official day I called quits on the British-based band Gorillaz due to the bullshit behind it. since that date I was lost, had no inspiration to look forward to and no cartoon guy to make me smile...but lo and behold of the same year, I took an interest in playing the game Cuphead and man...that shit was a frightening exaggerated metaphor for being on that one drug (forgot the name though) and having sex at the same time but man that was the best fun I’ve had in years. I mean, it’s like, enemies are just so happy to murder you and that scared the shit outta me. and the facial exaggeration?....I think I should stop, ha ha. anyways, the Moldenhauers saved my ass from spiraling down, they have no clue. anyways, eventually I became a permanent fan of their work so to ease the hurt and erase my past from the G-fandom I had to re-wire my brain into a different cartoon category that’s a rather more American, so anything Toon related like Roger Rabbit, Felix the Cat or another favorite that’s a western-based cartoon makes me feel better, especially my new man .......King Dice <3 <3<3<3. however, there was something about this new fandom category I still didn’t quite understand until the date March 14th, 2020. I finally understood what it was but I feel I shouldn’t bring it up. anyways, Cuphead and anything western or rubber hose is my last stop in inspiration for the remaining years of my life. many say never say never but I believe I’ve found my laughing place and that’s all that matters.

It’s the name I go by on the Internet. 😂 I hate change, so regardless of whichever fandom I’m in, I keep it consistent. (People with multiple AO3 accounts for different fandoms, I can’t even. Don’t @ me!!!) 

2. Any side blogs? If you have them, name them and why you have them

Technically @havvy-land is a sideblog but it’s just a regular blog under a different email address because the sideblog vs main blog things confuses me too much. You can’t answer asks or you can answer asks or... Yeah, I’ve been here for like a solid ten years and I still have no idea how Tumblr works. 

3. How long have you been on Tumblr?

Oh, now I have to actually figure this one out. Since April 25th, 2011 according to my archive.

4. Do you have a queue tag?

No. Because I’m too lazy to keep up a queue, but if I had one, I think I’d use “queue ball - corner pocket” even though it’s silly because you don’t really announce which pocket you’re going to sink the cue ball into because you’re not supposed to sink the cue ball......

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

My original blog was to join in all the cool kids in the Supernatural fandom -- urghegrhghhh -- and then I never really used it that much and still don’t. Started this one when I started mostly posting Queen stuff just to be able to start with a fresh timeline without having to unfollow everyone I knew on the other blog. And never really use this one either! 🙌

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

I’m so used to my avatar being Olivia de Havilland that I started answering this question that way, but over here it’s John Deacon looking like he’s done with life. Figured I should have a Queen-specific pfp for what was essentially supposed to be a Queen blog. ~~branding.🌟

7. Why did you choose your header?

I don’t think I have a header on either blog. I don’t think I know how to do that.  😂  

8. What’s your post with the most notes?

On this blog, it’s the Crystal-and-all-the-Boys post. 1400+ notes and going strong, and I’ve seen it reposted on Instagram twice. 😂  

9. How many mutuals do you have?

How many mutuals do I have that are mutuals I engage with or just happen to be mutuals? I don’t know and I don’t feel like counting -- but I appreciate that Tumblr now tells you if someone you’re following follows you back so that you can fret about people who aren’t!

10. How many followers do you have?

Over here, 820. Can’t tell you why. I assume most of them are inactive now! 

11. How many people do you follow?

I went on a purge a few months back to unfollow inactive blogs and people who had moved on from Queen stuff and were posting things I wasn’t really vibing with -- shoutout to the individual who is ALWAYS posting cool recipes because I will NEVER unfollow you, that shit is GREAT. So right now we’re down to 220.

12. Have you ever made a shitpost?

Yes! One time. And then someone started sending me postal codes and phone numbers into my inbox and I’m not entirely sure if the two things were related or not, but I figure they were trying to give me my details like “haha! I know where you live!” but while they were for the right general part of the country, they weren’t actually mine. So idk, honestly. 

13. How often do you use Tumblr each day?

How much do I use Tumblr each week you mean? Hahahaha. I open it once a day or so, scroll for a bit, like a few things and then move on. One day I’ll fix my theme so it has a scroll bar again and then use this more. She said without much confidence.

14. Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? Who won?

Uhhhhh, no? I mean, I’ve had fallings-out with people where we unfollowed each other but I’ve never had a heated Tumblr argument. “Who won” feels like a loaded question -- how do you quantify WINNING on Tumblr???  😂

15. How do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts?

If you’re going to unfollow me because I didn’t reblog something on my mostly inactive Tumblr account, there’s a good chance we’re not going to hit it off as friends anyway.  😂

16. Do you like tag games?

I don’t spend a lot of time on Tumblr beyond the occasional twenty minutes of idle scrolling but I love the feeling of “oh, someone thought of me 🥺” so tag away!

17. Do you like ask games?

This one requires a little more active participation from me, which I am obviously against 😂 but if I see a friend hosting an ask game, I often drop an anon ask in their inbox just to make them smile. 

18. Which of your mutuals do you think is Tumblr famous?
