If I had a quarter everytime I was in a fandom and there was a decorative animal named benson, I’d have two quarters. Which insnt a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

Okay, I see a good 50% of people saying that what Matt did was scary or just wrong, and another 50% saying that’s just this siblings act, clearly you don’t have siblings.

I’d like to clear up one thing before I get my thoughts out: No, I do not have siblings. But yes, I know that siblings hit each other and fight.

I’m not going to defend nor “cancel” Matt. Instead, I’m just gonna say that we should have expected this. Here’s what I think:

I think Matt, like a lot of quiet and anxious kids, grew up to have anger issues. And I say this because as Nick said in the past, “In reality, the shit that Matt says that’s mean to me, I don’t even feel comfortable putting in the video! Cause people are going to be like: “Matt’s so rude to Nick”. If I kept what Matt said in the video—“ cut off by Matt telling him to keep it in the video. And what happens when Nick keeps it in the video? Fans come at him saying “Matt was so rude to Nick”, “That was terrifying”, no shit he probably has anger issues!!

Matt is a 21 year old grown man acting like this. It’s immature, especially throwing the gifts and acting that way after only being GRAZED by that calendar.

However, I will say that Nick and Chris know Matt better than we do. Nick made a video with the caption “flinch if you have trauma”, clearly mocking the situation, signaling that it isn’t that serious. You can tell that he’s faking it because A. I’m pretty sure the original video with the sound was satire or just really cringey and everyone else was doing the same thing and being sarcastic, and B. His smile tells that he’s mocking it.

Here’s a hint: If the person who was hit was joking about it, it’s probably fucking fine.

Yes, I do see red flags in what Matt did. However, I also know that it may have been a joke that went too far. The triplets probably discussed it after recording. Considering that Nick uploaded the unedited clip on instagram in the group account, I’m going to guess that they either had a fight about it, he’s being petty, or he thought it was fucking funny.

And when you go back to listen to clip? Yeah, it’s kinda funny.

I guess all I’m saying here is that I believe that it’s good we’re recognizing this as a fanbase, but I also believe that we are too much in their personal space too. Matt doesn’t need to come out with this big apology video with tears and a ukulele explaining how sorry he is. But I ALSO think that maybe he and the triplets should consider watching his anger issues if they haven’t already…

Oh and speaking of c.ai my biggest fucking pet peeve is bad grammar and the “…” instead of a normal period. STOP BEING EDGY. Also for bad grammar I’m mainly talking about using “was” instead of “were”and vise versa. Like that is second grade grammar. And it’s cringey, no offense 😬

And I’m not talking about using it everyone once in a while, I mean using it EVERY DAMN SENTENCE.

Am I the only one that feels like it’s not that hard to write a fanfic or even a c.ai bot that is gender neutral? Like there are SO many fanfics and especially c.ai bots I want to use because they have a good storyline with good grammar, but then it’s ruined for me because I no longer identify as female.

That’s how Y/N type of stories are supposed to work anyway. It’s not that hard to just write “they” instead of “she.” Y/N literally means Your/Name. Y/N doesn’t have a specific look, gender, or sexuality because they are a group of people (the audience) as one character.
