After almost 2 years on the backlog I finally put together the MG Heavyarms EW! Such an incredibly fun kit to put together it really brought back my love for mastergrades in general. Definitely a pain in the ass to pose the belt for the minigun just would not cooperate but fuck if we ball. Still beyond pleased with the end result! Now to build Calibarn or Schwarzette next? Or maybe Big-O?👀

The Big Bad Bat that never smiles.
That’s the picture Barry had in his head when thinking of him...
It had been a few months now, since this “Justice League” had become an actual thing. And Flash was still not sure if it was reality or just a fever dream.
Of course, before they truly decided to gather all together to protect this Earth, Barry knew about his “colleagues”. Duh. Who, in America, never heard about the mighty Superman ? The Goddess of Truth Wonder Woman ? The fearless, and fear inducing Batman ?
And here he was, amongst those legends. Was it making him a legend too, to have been selected to be one of the founder of this “little” team ?
Barry just couldn’t admit that. What he could admit, though, was that it felt very nice to be part of something like this initiative !
It also felt nice that he wasn’t alone anymore. He had the support of people who were like him. “Different”, and with a purpose to make the world a better and safer place !
Well, up until now Barry was mainly focusing on Central City, but hey, some of his colleagues only had one city too !
And now, they took it further, leveled up in the protective business, and became, Barry would like to say, kind of like a family !
Ok, maybe not just yet, but at least they were all good friends.
Well, “all”. Not quite.
There was one who still refused to partake in their gaming nights for example, or in any discussions that weren’t work related. There was one whom Barry never saw smile, not even a little twitch at the corner of his mouth ! One who, it seemed, had no intention to bond with his new partners.
Yes. Batman kept himself guarded from everyone else, which was odd to Barry because he heard that the bat sort of was the one who had the idea for this little world saving team.
Flash just couldn’t figure out what was the deal with that man ! And Batman wasn’t letting him come close at all. Not reacting to his jokes or anything. While they were hilarious ! The only time Batman seemed to care about what Barry had to say, was when he was starting to speak forensics.
There was one person though, who seemed closer to the bat than all the others. Well, actually make that two. Two persons.
Superman, and Wonder Woman.
Almost as if they knew who Batman really was. Maybe they did ? After all, they’re really the one that started this little hero club.
And so one day, Flash, sitting in the common room of their brand new space headquarters, was staring at Batman (who was making himself a cup of coffee) and without giving much context, he turned to Clark and Diana (who were...arm wrestling ?) and asked :
"Have you ever seen him, ya know, smile ?"
“Huh ?”
Superman turned his head toward Barry, and this two second loss of focus allowed Diana to throw him down.
Quite literally. For a split moment, unfocused because Flash addressed him and his Ma’ always told him that ignoring people was impolite, Clark released a little pressure in his arm, and of course Diana took advantage of this to strategically put all her force in, and slam the mighty Superman down.
Barry gave a worried look towards Batman. The last thing he wanted, was for him to come over and see what the ruckus was about. But, still at the coffee station, he just looked at both meta humans, frowned, shook his head, and left the room, visibly grumbling something under his breath.
With a sigh of relief, Barry turned back towards them, and as Clark was getting back up, giving an annoyed (and slightly vexed) look at Diana, who was showing him her most beautiful smug expression, he asked again :
“I was wondering, have you ever seen him smile ?”
Massaging his wrist, still a little sour about his defeat, Clark asked, a little absentmindedly :
“Who ?”
Flash, looking around, lowered his voice and said :
“You know...his name rhymes with cancan ?”
There was a short pause, before Diana says :
“...A lot of our names rhyme with Cancan.”
“But only one of you never smiles !”
“Oooooh, you’re talking about Batman ?”
Flash shook his head positively, looking around nervously one more time to make sure said Batman wasn’t there. Diana smiled widely (not a rare occurence in her case) and turned to look at Clark knowingly. And Superman laughed heartily, of his clear and a little childish laugh, and said :
“No. No I don’t think I ever did...Wait, actually, there was that one time when-"
"Wonder Woman. Superman. Flash. Hello."
The big bad Bat himself was right next to them, and Barry couldn’t help but wonder how the hell did he arrive so fast ?!
Bruce was looking straight at Clark, staring intently at him, and why was he ? It made the man of steel uncomfortable, especially when- Oh. Oh but of course. That one time Clark saw Batman smile was when...
After a short awkward silence, Clark spoke up again :
“No. No I never saw what, um, what you asked me I saw. Diana ?”
“Nope, never.”
Batman nodded, which mortified Barry as he realized that he knew what they were talking about, and left once again. And from this day on, The Flash couldn’t help but wonder...What was it, that made the Batman smile ?
Because given the “trinity”’s reaction, it was clear both meta-humans saw him do that once...His curiosity intensely piqued, Barry kept this info about Clark and Diana knowing in the corner of his mind.
************
Of course, no one would expect such a thing from the Batman. Who, in their right mind, could guess that the stoic, always so serious and harsh hero had a...
Yes.
Even now, faced with the fact this was reality, Barry couldn’t quite believe his eyes ! It was just so surreal ! And he had a costume, too !!
Out of nowhere, the man he had tried to make laugh or smile for years came out of the zeta tube with a little boy, who couldn’t be more than nine years old, and acted as if nothing happened !!
Understandingly so, everyone but Superman and Wonder Woman, stopped what they were doing and stared at them.
Green Lantern is the one that said what everyone was thinking but didn’t dare to ask :
“What the...Who’s that, Batman ?!”
The sudden exclamation didn’t seem to phase Bruce much, but the little boy stiffened and sort of hid behind Batman’s cape, looking shyly at everyone from behind it. They were all staring at them. It was a little scary.
Bruce turned to Hal, and calmly and matter of factly said :
“My son. D-Robin.”
Which made everyone but Clark and Diana unable to stop their : “WHAT ?!”. And to little Dick, it was quite something to witness all his favorite heroes freak out like that, and looking in total shock.
That’s when Bruce, clearly annoyed, and a little mad as he noticed his usual extroverted boy looking unsure and shy, and hiding behind him (and no one made his kiddo feel like that without repercussions !), said :
“Get a grip, everyone. You’re making him think you’re all completely nuts. It’s embarrassing, I brought him up here because he was excited to meet all of you, and now you’re acting like mad men.”
The big bad bat then squatted down to put himself at the boy’s level and asked, his voice taking a complete different tone, one that Barry never heard him have.
“Are you ok, buddy ?"
No one was quite sure what was the most shocking. That Batman had a kid, or that he just took the softest voice ever to talk to said kid, and showed an entirely different persona ?
The young boy nodded, and Bruce turned back towards everyone, putting a reassuring hand on his son’s shoulder.
“Please, handle yourself better in his presence. You’re intimidating him.”
Barry had a thought about how odd it was, that this kid was intimidated by him and his friends, while apparently totally ok with Batman. Because in his eyes, Batman was the most intimidating guy he ever met ! Yet that boy seemed to cling to his cape for dear life, as everyone kept staring at him.
The worry in the boy’s look, and the “mama goose” stance Batman suddenly took, made Barry snap out of it first and, smiling, he said :
“Well, welcome to the Justice League of America’s headquarters, Robin ! Want a tour of it ?”
And this warm feeling that irradiated from Flash seemed to unlock something in the boy, and, smiling widely, he shook his head yes enthusiastically and slowly walked out of his father’s shadow.
That’s when the zeta tube emitted the sound it does when someone comes through, and someone nobody saw before came from it. She was wearing an unknown costume, and her sudden appearance and the fact she was a stranger made everyone take a fighting stance ! Everyone, but Batman and his son.
“Hey mom ! Flash is gonna show me around ! It’s Flash !! The real one !”
Wait...”mom” ? Did that...mean...SOMEONE ACTUALLY MARRIED THE BATMAN ?!
************
It was quit a shock, the day everyone discovered that Bruce had a family.
Granted, it was all fairly recent as he only met you a few years back, and Dick had been adopted only a little bit more than a year ago (he only recently started to call you mom, after certain events happening (you can read about it in this story : clickclickclick), and wasn’t quite yet calling Bruce “dad” but it was just a matter of time, really. In Bruce’s eyes, the boy was most definitely his son, now).
But what was the most shocking of all, was how whenever you or the boy would be around, it felt like they were discovering another Batman !
Whenever Dick said something smart, he would praise him. Whenever his look would cross yours, his expression would become incredibly soft (”lovesick puppy” was not words Barry thought he’d ever associate with “Batman”). It wasn’t particularly a noticeable difference for the untrained eyes, but it was most definitely there.
His “soft” expressions were all very fleeting. But someone like Flash ? He definitely saw them.
The Batman was still this serious, stoic and unwavering man, but as soon as they all discovered he had a family, he became a little more human.
His “legend” wasn’t broken by the fact he could feel emotions, on the contrary. Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Green ARrow, Black Canary...Everyone. They just realized what Superman and Wonder Woman discovered a while ago now.
There was two Batman.
The working one, the superhero, the unforgiving one, who was strategic and pragmatic.
And the family man.
And as he observed those two Batmen, Barry realized more and more that they weren’t actually two different persons like it could seem to certain people. They were just different facets of the same man. Two sides of the same coin.
Of course, Flash should’ve known. Just like in his day time work, just like in forensics and such...Things weren’t always that simple. People, weren’t that simple. Real people weren’t “one dimensional”.
His theory was confirmed one day when you said that Batman could most definitely be a total jerk towards you or your son (or Alfred), in his “dark moments”. And that you fully accepted it, because you did not love him conditionally.
Because you understood him, and that in your opinion, nobody was perfect. Hell, you admitted, with a little laugh, that you could be very obnoxious at times...And if he could forgive your bitchy moments, then you could most definitely forgive his dark ones.
Especially when you knew why he was like that.
Sometimes, Barry felt jealous, that Batman found such an understanding and loving wife. But then he just had to take one look at how said Batman was looking at you, and he realized that both of you were lucky.
************
It turned out that Dick wasn’t a shy kid at all. He just got a little overwhelmed at first, to be stared at by Earth’s mightiest hero. But as soon as he relaxed himself and finally opened up, he was a rather talkative little dude.
Full of energy. And all of a sudden, Barry truly understood why Batman could look so fondly at his boy, or at you.
The kid clearly was a little ray of sunshine. Although, if we believed you and Bruce, he could sometimes throw terrible fits of anger and...Well, once again, people were more complicated that they can first appear to be. It’s not because you have mostly a joyful nature, that you’re always that way. And Barry could see this whenever Dick would partake in missions.
The boy was serious too, and resembled his father a lot in those moments.
However, he was still mostly very extroverted and curious while at the League’s headquarter, and Barry could see how the arrival of such a burst of light in Batman’s life could brighten him indeed.
It was difficult, to look at you and Dick and not smile.
Barry wondered, if neither you nor Dick came into his life, how Batman would be now. Probably still cold and seeming unemotional. Maybe even worst than what they experienced so far ?
There actually wasn’t a doubt in Barry’s mind, that you and your son’s presence in the Big Bad Bat’s life radically changed him.
************
Flash could see there was something wrong with Bruce when he came up the League’s headquarter that day.
He was much grumpier than usual. And when Barry joked :
“Gee, where’s your boy, I think you need to cheer up.”
Batman gave him the most murderous look he ever saw, stood up, and quietly left the room, leaving behind him a very cold and scary atmosphere.
You got up from the zeta tube barely two minutes later, looking both distressed and annoyed, and ask Flash where Bruce was.
Still sort of in shock, Barry gave a timid gesture towards where the Bat went, and watched as you went there in a hurry.
Later on, Barry would learn that Bruce and his son got in a fight, which resulted in his beloved boy leaving to join the Teen Titans, and ah, all of a sudden, everything made sense to The Flash.
************
Jason’s first introduction to the League was quite different from his older brother’s. The Leaguers were less surprised, and therefor more welcoming immediately.
Jason was a shy kid, who would often whisper things in his dad’s ear before doing it.
Like for example, the boy didn’t dare, at first, asking Flash how fast he could truly run. So he went to Bruce, and asked him, murmuring in his ear and hiding his mouth. Which made Batman, THE Batman, stand up from the computer on which he worked on, and walk with his son towards Barry.
“Go ahead, ask him, don’t worry, I’m here.”
He said, pushing Jason a little forward. And the boy was playing with his hands nervously, before he dared to ask :
“Howfastcanyoureallygo?”
And the fond smile Batman had as he stood there, behind his son, silently encouraging him, made Barry feel like he was understanding him more and more. Smiling, The Flash answered :
“Well, what’s sure is that I’m not going as fast as you asked this question !”
Which made little Jay widely smile and chuckle. Just like Bruce discovered, Jason could be a little “wild” yet “reserved” at first, but it only took a little push for him to become an overly enthusiastic little boy, eager to please and to learn.
It was obvious Jason had a tough childhood, which make him afraid to bother people and be in their way. Which sometimes made him want to be fiercely independent. It was obvious that Jason didn’t have an easy life up until now...
And that he was embracing fully this new chance at being happy and having a family. He’d follow Bruce like he was his shadow. He’d cling to you often. He’d talk about his older brother Dick regularly.
Little Jason was home with you all, and it was a heartfelt thing to witness for each members of the League.
It was yet another proof that Batman most definitely had a heart.
************
Years passed, and nothing much changed.
Batman was still good old himself, with that softer change when you or his sons were around (fortunately, things with the first Robin, or “Nightwing” now, as he called himself, greatly improved, and although Dick stayed with the Teens Titans still, him and Bruce were speaking again. Of course they were).
He was still that man who had difficulties to say “thank you” (yet he improved on that front), who was strategic and pragmatic, but now, the members of the League knew better than to judge him just for that.
His children came from times to times to the League’s headquarter, mainly to hang out with their dad, as it was extremely rare they’d take part in League’s mission (Batman was surprisingly protective of his children).
You’d come up too, a little more often, actively participating in monitoring the universe. And you and the Leaguers became fast friends (he’d never admit it, but the Bat surely wasn’t always happy about that).
And whenever you or/and your kids were present, Batman most definitely seemed to be in a better mood.
And things seemed to go normally, albeit for, you know, the moments they had to save the World and sometimes almost died during so !
But yes. Everything as more or less normal up until...
************
For months, the League didn’t see much of neither you nor Bruce.
When Bruce came back up, the news he lost youngest his son was known by all of them, but of course, they knew better than to mention it.
Barry knew he wouldn’t smile again in a long time, if he could ever even smile again.
You and Dick were still there. But you lost a son too. Dick lost his little brother. And if the only people that could always turn Batman’s frown upside down were sad and hurt too, how could he get out of that dark pit ?
It didn’t feel right, to not see your nor Dick ever smiling either.
It felt, when Jason died, that this nice and warm new family Bruce build for himself, that his new chance at being happy, sort of crumbled.
Yes. You, him and Dick were still here and alive. Were still supporting each others. But there was nothing worst than to lose a child. A brother.
Once again, it became clear to Barry that the Batman moods truly became tied to his family. And it didn’t surprise Flash when the man threw himself, mind and body, into his vigilante activities even more...
For a long time, they did not see you, nor Bruce.
And when Bruce finally came back to League’s affair, it didn’t seem like you’d ever come up again...Or like he would smile ever again.
************
And then one day, a while after Jason’s disappearance, Batman came up accompanied once more.
It was neither you nor Dick, but someone they never saw before.
A little boy, who claimed to be “Robin”. One more that the Batman adopted.
And once again, Barry could see a slow shift in Bruce’s mood.
Ever since Jason died, it felt like something irreparable broke in the man. It felt like he was regretting ever coming close to people again, putting you, his children, in danger.
As if he thought he was cursed to lose everything he loved...
Ever since Jason died, things have been very difficult, in your family. You and Bruce had each others, but the pain was often too grand to handle and it was difficult to mourn your lost son...
Bruce felt it was his fault, you felt it was your fault, neither of you blamed the other...It was a vicious circle. In those years, you almost broke up because of how everything was tough.
But in the end, your love got only stronger, and you realized that without the other, you could’ve never come back from this dark times.
The arrival of a new kid most definitely helped, too.
The first that came out of this sad funk that surrounded everything was Dick. Nightwing. Barry noticed, he went back to be a little more cheerful again, and didn’t fully turn like Batman was.
It was thanks to Tim. Thanks to being a big brother again, and having to set an example. Something he didn’t quite do in the beginning, with Jason, as he felt jealous at times...One of his greatest regret. He wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.
The first time Tim came up the tower, he ran into it and started to ramble about everything, asking questions faster than anyone could answer, and touching everything on his way !
“Wooooow look at that it’s the best telescope I’ve ever seen !! Hey Green Lantern is it true my dad beat you multiple time and that without your ring you’re nothing ? It’s what he said...OH HEY ! Uncle Superman, how are you today ? WOOOOOW you guys have cookies here ?! -bites into a cookie- Mm, not as good as Alfred’s...AH WHAT’S THAT ?! Hey hey, Black Canary, how high can your voice get ? Oh wow what is that, what does it do ? OH HI AUNT DIANA !! Can you breathe in space ? If I went in space without a spacesuit I would freeze and all my blood vessels would explose. Sounds like a painful death right ? Woooow daaaad look at that !!”
And that was it. Right there. The first smile Flash saw the Batman have in a very long time, as the man looked at his son running everywhere and be excited about everything.
It was very easy to understand that this new Robin, little Tim, was an extremely smart child. Curious of everything in a way his brothers weren’t, as he needed detailed explanations about stuffs, not just a simple answer.
It appeared as he was understanding even complicated notions, and would even give his opinion in the matters !
Later on, Flash would learn that at first, Bruce refused to take Tim as the new Robin. Because he still had parents (albeit shitty ones), because he didn’t want another Jason to happen, because...Because he couldn’t have his broken once more.
But the boy was persistant. And he crawled his way in in Dick’s heart first. Then yours. And finally Bruce’s, who just couldn’t resist. Especially when the boy lost his biological parents too...
When Tim was on the Space Station, you’d be most often there too. It seemed like ever since you lost Jason, you became even more protective of your sons. Like you had difficulties letting them out of your sight.
Tim didn’t seem to mind. His parents never cared enough about him...So it felt nice, to be loved in that way.
Quickly, this new little Robin brought back a certain balance to his new family. Of course, no one would ever forget Jason. That’s one of the reason why there was a glass case filled with his costume throning in the midle of the Batcave.
Jason was unforgettable. The love you all had for him, even now that he was gone, would never die. But the mourning was finally reaching its last step.
Acceptance.
And in big part, it was because of that young and smart new Robin, whom the League immediately loved. And were quite thankful for.
After all, they were Batman’s friends. His pain and struggles, over the years, reached them too. They could understand the pain of losing a loved one. Martian Manhunter, who lost his family, for example, truly was empathetic.
And slowly, without realizing, all of them sort of got used to dark, cold and harsh Batman being soft around his family ! It didn’t feel right, that he would only be dark, cold and harsh...
That day, that first day Tim got up the Headquarter and got overly excited about everything. That day Batman was again seen with a small smile on his face. A smile he couldn’t hush or hide...
It felt right again.
************
Cassandra emerged from the zeta tube, getting a piggy back ride from her older brother Dick, a calm day at the League’s headquarter.
She wasn’t very talkative, but she had an aura that was both impressive and sweet. Just like Jason, Barry could see that this young child went through a lot...But it didn’t seem to dim her light.
It didn’t take a genius to know she went through years of abuse. That her life most definitely hadn't been easy. Maybe even worst than young Jason’s...
Later, Barry would indeed discover the reason why she didn’t speak much, and would be heartbroken for her...Except.
Except he slowly witnessed her evolution.
How having a family, a loving and caring and protective one, made her bloom.
From that first time she came through the zeta tube, on the back of her brother, who then proceeded to give her a piggy back ride all across the Headquarter, to now...
Flash slowly witnessed her change.
She was quiet at first, but interested in everything. She would listen to whatever ramblings her brothers would tell her, or to her father explaining things.
She was probably the one that they sheltered all the most, even you, who were usually a rather chill mother. It felt like you all tried to catch up for the lost years where all she felt was pain, mental and physical, and fear.
“You. Flash.”
She once said to Barry, and it was the first time he heard her spoke, so he got a little excited and exclaimed :
“Yes I am !”
Before going on on rambles about things, of which Cass’ reply was pointing at him, laughing, and saying :
“Funny.”
When her father came to tell her it was time to leave, Cass pointed at Flash again and repeated “funny”, which made Bruce...Laugh ?!
Sure, Barry saw him smile and he thought that once, he heard him chuckle at a joke you made (but he wasn’t certain), but to hear him full on laugh like so ?
Once more, Flash was faced with the fact that Batman really was a man. Whose family would uncover the best part of him. The kind and warm part. Barry would only wish though, that this confirmation in his feelings wouldn’t be at his depend.
Because clearly, Batman was mocking him, right now. But at the same time, the Big Bad Bat turned to him, smiled at him, and...winked ?
That day, Barry felt that Bruce truly was warming up to him. That maybe, just maybe, he was letting more than just his family in.
And when he ruffled his daughter’s hair, and confirmed Flash was one of the only funny one, it took Barry a while to come back from it.
************
Cass made incredible progress in her speech, helped by her family. She loved to come up the tower and often asked anyone who was up there too to tell her stories of their missions.
She loved stories.
She’d listen and give them detailed feedbacks about their way of telling stories, and every single time, it’d warm everyone’s heart. But the heart her presence warmed the most was definitely the Batman’s.
************
One day, a man wearing a red helmet and a leather jacket came up with Batman. He walked in, looked around as people were sort of staring at him, wondering if Batman had adopted yet another kid (who was  grown ass man..), and he said :
“Wow, didn’t change one bit. Lame.”
When he took his helmet off, he still had a mask under, and...
“Jason ?”
Clark is the first one that recognized him. And as Barry turned around, looking curiously at this person he thought to be a stranger, he realized...It was most definitely little Jason Todd ! Except, he wasn’t so little anymore.
Actually, he was taller than his older brother, Dick.
Barry recognized that slightly mischievous spark Jason always had in his eyes, as if he knew something you didn’t (Jason was the one most similar to you, always quick to have a sassy come back and make clever jokes).
“I’m back bitches.”
The shift in Jason’s personality was quite an obvious one, but somehow, Barry knew it was all for show. That deep down, the man was still that little boy full of enthusiasm and curiosity that worshipped his father and mother.
In fact, Barry quickly understood that Jason’s reason for this so called shift in his personality, was how much he loved his parents, how much he trusted them, and how Bruce not killing the Joker felt like a betrayal. How much it hurt him.
Yet. Yet “Red Hood” was back in his family now.
Barry couldn’t help but think about how incredibly strong that boy (man) was. Able to overcome such pain and feeling of betrayal, to forgive his father. To try and understand his point of view, and why he did what he did.
The Flash was certain that you were for something in this new recovery Jason went through, but also the Bat himself...It was clear Bruce had lived years feeling guilty and regretful. And now he had another chance, and he wouldn’t let it go.
His persistance in showing what Jason meant is what brought him back. The love you gave him, is what brought him back.
Jason was finally home again.
************
When Damian first came up the Justice League’s watchtower, he seemed unimpressed and like he did not care about whatever was happening.
But Barry hung out with Batman long enough to now “feel” when someone was protecting themselves behind a shield of arrogance.
And that little boy ? That little boy clearly took this trait after his father. And Barry wasn’t fooled anymore, by this icy sort of exterior.
Behind Damian’s eyes, he could see curiosity, and wanting to ask many questions, but not asking in fear of appearing too childish. Behind Damian’s eyes, eyes that clearly already saw too much for their age, Flash could still see the kid he wanted to be.
Barry’s first impression of Damian was right. As confirmed when you emerged from the zeta tube, and the boy rushed to you to give you a hug, and then excitedly tell you everything he saw on the Space Station.
When Damian took your hand and made you run along with him because he wanted to show you something, which triggered this small and fleeting smile Batman would have whenever his family would be around, Barry knew.
He knew that there was more to Damian than that pesky arrogant child who acted like nothing touched him personally. And he was right.
Damian had an odd and painful childhood, raised by people who warped his vision of the World. But with yours and Bruce’s love, with the protection and love his siblings gave him, he “healed”. There was, often, a glimpse at the child he was supposed to be.
And just like with his father, this “glimpse” would only be triggered by him being with his family.
************
Barry’s suspicions where confirmed the day Superman brought his son, Jon, up with him. Here was another proof Damian was, in the end, just a kid.
He first took a smug look because he came up there first, but then excitedly showed his friend around, and the two boys went off and had typical kids’ conversations.
Like wether the mega-computer could play video games, or who was the strongest in the League (at first they didn’t agree, both saying it was their fathers...until they settled on “Aunt Diana” being the best).
Damian could still, sometimes, be a little arrogant and such (just like his father), but there was a clear shift when he was surrounded by his loving family.
************
Barry might’ve never realize how you were truly the corner stone of the family up until tragedy took you away from them (in this quite old story : clickclickclick).
Batman quitted the League, and your children were lost.
It’s only when you disappeared, that he could truly have a grasp of the importance you had in this family. Without you, things could be drastically different for sure. And your loss was felt by everyone.
The League’s members were your friends.
Diana, Clark, Hal, Barry himself, J’onn, Dinah, Oliver...
They all felt the loss.
You had also became a vital member of the League.
And when you were gone.....
Barry felt his heart regain color, when he heard about what your sons’ went through to get you back. And when you came up to the Headquarters, a warm welcome is what greeted you.
Batman didn’t even try to hide his smile, or, for the first time since everyone discovered he was married, didn’t shy away from PDA.
Flash does not think that there was one moment when Bruce didn’t at least hold your hand. And when at least one of your children would cling to you. No matter how old.
Yes. It became truly apparent that day, that you were the center of it all. The sun around which they all gravitated. But without them, you also had no purpose but to burn out all alone. You were all linked, forever.
There was no you without them, and them without you.
************
It was clear Duke wasn’t quite used yet to all the craziness that came with becoming a vigilante.
When he arrived at the League’s headquarters, he was rather shy and reserved, and Barry saw his “what the fuck ?” face often as Damian and Cass showed him around headquarters.
Both Damian and Cassandra were born in a specific environment which made it easy for them to assimilate how everything was absolutely nuts. It was the same with Dick, Tim and Jason. From a very early age they were thrown into that world !
But Duke ? Sure, he was used to all the shenanigans that happened in Gotham. But he had a pretty normal childhood. So things could often appear completely crazy or him ! He really tried though, to slowly get used to it.
It was actually quite adorable, to see both Cass and Damian explaining things carefully to a Duke who was trying to assimilate everything. Their bond was obviously strong, it didn’t take a genius to realize that.
Bruce had brought Duke up for a particular reason, which was : getting to know other meta-humans and talk to people who went through the same things he did.
His talks with Superman and Flash himself seemed to help the boy a lot, to grasp and understand his feelings. It wasn’t easy, to suddenly discover you were different. To suddenly have to control abilities you never had before.
From afar, you and Bruce kept a close eye on what was happening, making sure Duke was alright and comfortable. And clearly, the boy was actually having a really good time here, finally able to talk with people who truly understood the struggle and loneliness that could come with being a meta human.
It seemed to Barry, that this newest member of “who manages to make Batman smiles without trying or realizing it” club was on the right track to become quite the hero.
************
Sometimes, Barry would notice that, when he wasn’t doing something “work” related, Batman’s face would suddenly soften and relax, and a small smirk would appear.
The big bad bat, in moments of calm, not working on the computer or anything, for example as he made himself a cup of coffee, would suddenly let go of that icy marble-carved expression, and give place for a brief expression full of fondness. Of course, it would always be very fleeting, but it was definitely there.
Barry liked to think that in those short moments, Bruce was thinking of his family. That he would catch a glimpse of the loving and sensitive man hid under the scary costume.
And Barry was right.
************
The big bad Bat that never smiles (unless with family).
That’s the picture Barry has now when he thinks of him.
As he was looking at the baby Batman was holding in his arms, and proudly showing the League members, Flash was reminisced of his first impression of the man, years and years ago.
Cold, harsh, arrogant, “need no help and doesn’t say thank you”. How Barry was almost sure that “The Batman” wasn’t actually a real man at all. He never showed emotions, never showed weakness or anything, was entirely focused on his work.
But the truth was, and it was clear at the expression of his face was one full of fondness and love as the baby cooed at him, that Bruce was actually like any other man.
It’s just that, in the League’s early days, he didn’t have another chance at having a family yet. In the League’s early days, he was wary of making strong connections, new friends and what not, afraid to lose them and feel the pain to continue on leaving without a loved one.
However, as the years’ went by, Flash saw the changes. Thanks to you, to his children. How he trusted his friends of the League’s more. To the point of bringing up his one month old son to present him to them.
When there was a time Bruce used to scold little Dick for using his real name at times, it was difficult to imagine what things would become.
Yes. Over the years, Barry realize he greatly misjudge the Batman.
He was not that cold, unfeeling and unemotional man. He was the opposite. It just took him taking a chance at being happy again to show it. It just took a loving family once more, for him to smile.
Of course, when they weren’t there, Batman still had that scary persona. But now. Now Barry new better. Because he saw the fondness and love on his face.
The softness that even the Bat himself, didn’t realize was painting his every feature.
The End.

Here we are, a new story haha. Sorry if it’s meh, I’m really slowly getting in a new writing rhythm, and writing  about the Bats again. I hope you still liked it ! :) I honestly have no idea why I ended up going with writing mostly in sort-of Barry’s POV ! But I hope you liked that...Haha I posted it RIGHT in time, it’s 11:53 pm, I said I’d post it at the latest on Monday, pfffeew what a ride.
As usual, feedbacks and reblogs are extremely welcomed. Like, really beyond appreciated. Thanks in advance, and see you soon with a new story <3.

━━━━━━━━━━☆
"You know, I never thought you were weird."
You extended out your hand, reaching out to the poor boy beat down to the ground. He looked up to you with sadness in his eyes and defeat in his inconstant breathing. He clasped onto your hand and you pulled him up from his misery. The two of you stood on the soccer field alone, and the sadness in his eyes were washed out with relief as he embraced you, crying into your shoulder.
When Bachira pulled away, you noticed the snot that ran down his nose was tinted red, mixed with blood, and you yelped in surprise, pushing him out of the soccer field with you. He laughed at your concern as the two of you made your way towards his household.
Holding his soft hand, you maneuvered around his home as you've been there several times, towards the bathroom where you were to take care of Bachira. You set him on the edge of the sink, directly in front of you, and brought out the first-aid kit stowed away in one of the cabinets of the bathroom.
Sighing, you thought to yourself, "I wish Meguru didn't have to go through all of this. I'm here for him, and I hope he knows that." You looked up at his innocent face, dabbing the wounds inflicted by his teammates with water, washing away the dried blood. He flinched when you began treating his wounds with alcohol, and to calm his nerves you placed a hand over one of his, tightly gripping the edge of the sink on which he sat. Bachira watched your face, intently focusing on tending to his wounds, and he could feel his heart racing, not from the adrenaline of the game the two of you just played, but from how you cared for him and how you were always there for him, despite all the names he'd been called for playing independently and strangely on the field.
Bachira Meguru wanted to say he was in love with you. Though he wanted to laugh at himself for being in love at only age ten, he knew that these feelings that he had for you were real. The monster in his heart whispered in his ear, telling him so. He knew that you, too, had a monster within yourself, caring for him like the gentle spirit it was. While Meguru's own was wild and reckless, consuming his whole being, yours was there to pull him up before he sank deep into madness. He wanted to say he was in love with you because he knew you felt the same.
"Good game out there," Bachira said instead, breaking the comfortable silence. The hand on his own moved up to pinch his mouth shut, not letting him speak anymore.
"Don't talk, Meguru. Some of the dirt on your cheeks might get into your wounds." He hummed, agreeing to your command.
"You're pretty skilled at your age, (Y/N)-chan. Are you gonna be a nurse when you grow up?" Bachira asked, irking you as he agreed not to speak just seconds ago. You were a passionate lover, and it got on your nerves that Bachira didn't follow what you just advised, creating the chance that he might infect his own wounds.
"Meguru, please."
He gave a single, short nod.
When you finished, Bachira hopped off of the sink and gave you another hug, wrapping his arms around you to the point where it felt like he could touch his own shoulders. Letting go, he thanked you, and as you acknowledged his gratitude, you made your way towards the front door, leaving.
That's how it always had been: you would play soccer with Bachira and his teammates almost every day, no matter the weather or the time, and typically by the end of the game he was beaten up by whoever because of his playing style. You thought it was cool—impressive, even—but apparently his teammates didn't think so. After everyone had left, you'd lift him up from wallowing in the grass with his tears and the monster in his heart to accompany him and bring him home (sometimes on your back) to tend to the injuries he'd gotten. It was a painful routine for you to follow, but it was all you had to do to stay by Bachira's side. After all, you loved him with everything you had.
Seven years later, you were there when Bachira opened up a letter inviting him to attend a training camp called "Blue Lock." Thinking it was a mere training camp to better his skills in soccer, you thought it was something that would last a week, or probably even two, but you didn't realize that the last words he would tell you for several years were "Make sure you've got something warm for me when I come back!"
It was the first time since forever when the two of you went separate paths, and even as you continued on in high school and into university, Meguru never left your mind. You wondered if he still remembered you, as soccer would be the only thing running through his own mind at an intense training camp like Blue Lock. You have heard of boys dropping out of the camp every few weeks ever since Bachira left, and though you didn't want to admit it, you wished that he would come home to you, holding him in your arms as he cried to you about his ruined dreams. It was an unpleasant thought that sat in the back of your mind, taunting you about your selfishness. It was ironic that despite how generous you were with caring for Bachira, you were completely selfish with keeping him to yourself. Perhaps that was the effect love had on you, though you weren't so sure if he was still in love with you, too.
He was. He knew he was, and always will be in love with you as much as he was in love with soccer. He missed you everyday he was in stuck in Blue Lock, and he would constantly tell the friends he made about his love. One night, Isagi Yoichi asked him as they laid in bed about who you were, and the former might as well have called Bachira's description of you his bedtime story because he rambled on for hours on end about you. The lilting tone in Bachira's voice was reason enough for Isagi to know how much you meant to the boy.
There was a knock on the door, several years since Bachira left for Blue Lock, and you let go of the book in which you were studying for medical school to open the door. In front of you was Bachira Meguru, weary and tired. Right away he fell into your arms, and his whole weight dropped on top of you. You wrapped your arms around his torso, and he exhaled deeply. From over his shirt you could feel his toned muscles that he grew from undergoing the extensive physical training.
Bachira pulled away from you, and upon seeing your face, he smiled just as he did when the two of you were children. "It's nice seeing you again, (Y/N)-chan. I missed you." He pinched your cheek with his calloused fingers, to which you whined. He laughed heartily at the exchange, and held your hand as he dragged you out of the house.
"Meguru! I was studying!" The two of you talked as if he never left.
"You can do that later! Let's go out!" He exclaimed, pulling you to his side.
Flustered at his words, you stuttered out what seemed like a question. Bachira simply laughed at your response. He took you towards the nearby beach of Chiba, and as soon as your feet touched the sand he collapsed onto the soft surface, beckoning you to do the same. An uneasy silence, unfamiliar to how it was in the past, rested over you two as you watched the calm waters in front of you.
"So, how was Blue Lock?" You asked, hoping to get some answer of the mysterious program. You had so much to ask him and to tell him after all these years. You turned your gaze to Meguru who still stayed watching the quiet waves.
"They didn't want me. I was playing against real monsters, (Y/N)-chan. More than the monster in me. In you." Bachira turned towards you and poked your chest. The both of you chuckled a bit. He sighed, then fell onto the sand, lying down. You did the same, and you were both looking up at the afternoon sky. "I don't know, (Y/N). I went to Blue Lock to find someone who could play with me, and don't get me wrong, I found people, but..." He paused.
"I also went to improve and get better. Like everyone else there. And I guess I just wasn't enough."
Frowning, you felt a pang in your heart and the initiative to reach out to him again.
"Don't say that, Meguru. You're amazing at soccer. You're always impressing everyone on the field, making everyone seem like a fool."
Bachira turned to face you, and you to him. "You really think so?"
"Of course. You're an amazing person, Meguru,” you told him with absolute certainty in your voice.
“I love you, (Y/N)-chan.”
“I love you too.” A pause. “Wait, what?” You sat up in the sand to look at Bachira, who lay beside you, smiling giddily up at you with a slight blush painting his cheeks. His hands were rested behind his head.
“I said I love you. And you love me, too.”
“I also missed you,” you added. Bachira noted how you never denied your loving him.
“I missed you, too. Did you know I never stopped talking about you one night that everyone on my team kicked me out of our room and I had to sleep in the bathroom that night?”
You laughed. “Did you really?”
“Yes! And it was so cold in there, too. No one gave me any blankets or anything!” The both of you laughed as you extended a hand to reach out to Bachira, helping him sit up on the sand. He never let go of your hand, and instead he clasped his fingers between yours. You both watched the intimacy of his actions, and you were slightly afraid he could feel the sudden warming of your hand.
Looking into his golden eyes, you could sense a seriousness about him. “You know, I wasn’t kidding about what I said,” he told you.
You had a feeling you knew what he was talking about, but you wanted to confirm it. “What did you say?”
“That I love you,” Bachira said.
“And I love you too,” you replied, pushing him down with you on top. Laughter rang in the air as you cupped his cheeks, shaking with his giggling.
“Shh, Meguru,” you said, leaning down. You gave him a soft kiss on his lips. Pulling away, he looked at you like you were his everything, as he placed a hand behind your neck to bring you down for another kiss. Whispers from others on the beach floated around you, some laughing at how ridiculous the two of you looked. Meguru opened his eyes to look in their direction, his insecurities from back when he was younger awakening.
“Meguru, don’t pay attention to ‘em. Who cares if they think we look weird? I’ve told you this before, but I don’t think you’re weird. I don’t think we’re weird!”
“Pssh, when did you tell me that?” He asked, before you leaned in to kiss him again.

Nightmares
(Pre-story note, I originally posted this on DeviantArt back in 2016. I would love to write again and share my ideas with people. This is technically my first fiction so it may be a bit rough around the edges so let me know how you feel, any criticism welcomed!)
[Lee: Naruto - Ler: Kakashi; platonic]
———–
It was another usual day of training for squad 7, Naruto butting heads with Sasuke and Sakura getting on the blonde’s case. “Alright everyone that’s enough training for one afternoon.” Said Kakashi exhausted from Naruto constantly bickering with Sasuke. “Aw man! But I’m not even tired yet!” Naruto argued. “Hmph, you look pretty tired to me.” Retorted Sasuke sarcastically. Naruto was about to go at it again but was interrupted by one annoyed Sakura. “Naruto why don’t you just give it a rest already?!” She stressed. “Man why’s everyone always on HIS side?” Naruto pouted. Kakashi sighed at his squad while putting away his latest romance novel. “Well I don’t know about you three but I’m starving so how ‘bout I treat you all to some lunch to reward your recent hard work?” Everyone’s face lit up at the offer, Naruto’s in particular. “Alright! Can we eat at Ichiraku’s? Please??” Naruto asked eagerly. “Why does it always have to be Ichiraku’s?” Sighed Sakura. “Because Ichiraku’s is the best!” Stated Naruto like it was the most obvious fact ever. I really don’t mind where we eat.“ Added Kakashi. "I guess there’s no choice.” Said Sakura. “Whatever.” Said Sasuke not really caring where he ate either.
-Some Time Later-
*Sluurrrp*
“…ahh! That hit the spot!” Exclaimed Naruto satisfied with his third bowl. Sasuke casually wiped his mouth as Sakura finished her bowl. “Nothing beats Ichiraku’s ramen!” Said Naruto. “Here’s what we owe you.” Said Kakashi handing over the ryo. “Well I’m heading home everyone, thank you for luch Kakashi sensei.” Said Sakura readying herself to leave. “Alright then see ya, stay safe.” Kakashi said as he waved her goodbye. “Well no use for me to hang around here so I guess I’m off too.” Said Sasuke while hopping from his seat. “Thanks for the food Kakashi.” He said as he walked out of the ramen shop, Kakashi nodding in response. After a few minutes passed Kakashi began to lean back onto the bar, a bit lost in thought while Naruto patted his stomach satisfied. Kakashi’s eyes had begun to wonder and eventually ended up on Naruto’s stomach. “Hmm, the nine tails.” Kakashi thought to himself.  "Wonder how that seal has been holding up.“ "Eh, something wrong sensei..? "Naruto asked curiously. "Hmm? Oh, it’s nothing.” Kakashi said while looking fowards. “Well… actually there is something Naruto.” Naruto sat up at full attention. “What is it?” Kakashi paused for a moment. “I was wondering about your seal.” Naruto looked at him a bit confused but then realized what he meant by “seal”. “Oh, it’s coming along OK I guess…” Kakashi looked at him with a questioning look. “Just OK? He asked. "Well…” Naruto started. “Do you want to talk about it in private?” Kakashi asked with a hint of concern. “Sure I guess..” Replied Naruto a little anxious. “Alright, let’s head back to the training grounds then.” Said Kakashi. They both got up and thanked Ichiraku for the meal then left for the training grounds.
Some time had passed since they went to eat for the sun was starting to set and the sky was quite orange. “So, what seems to be the problem?” Asked Kakashi as they both got comfortable on the grass. “Well, ever since that fight with Haku I’ve been having these weird dreams.” Said a Naruto, sounding a bit uncertain. “Weird dreams?” Asked Kakashi. “Not really dreams … they’re more like nightmares.” Naruto said looking tense. “Tell me Naruto, what happens in these nightmares?” Asked Kakashi. “Well it’s hard to explain but I would wake up in a cave, but I’m still asleep and some reason it just stinks so bad in there.” Explained Naruto. “And I would try to find my way out but I keep running in circles but then I’d finally find a straight path that always leads me to a cage.” Said Naruto. “A cage?” Asked Kakashi worried. “Yeah, a giant cage. It’s so weird but like there’s always some kind of monster in the cage calling my name, telling me to come closer… it’s just so creepy.” Said Naruto staring into his legs. “I wish the nightmare would stop but it’s been happening every night ever since that fight.” Naruto said with a hint of sadness and defeat. Kakashi put his hand on his shoulder to try and comfort him.
“Maybe I should take a look at your seal.” Naruto was a bit suprised by the suggestion and eyed his sensei with a bit of confusion. “Oh, uh alright.” Kakashi motioned for Naruto to stand. “Alright, remove your jacket.” Kakashi pointed out and Naruto did as instructed. “Ok now what?” Asked Naruto, admittedly a bit nervous but also curious. “Now I need you to come closer so I can examine the seal.” Stated Kakashi. “Right.” Said Naruto as he moved close enough for Kakashi to examine. “Alright I’m going to lift your shirt up a little.” He lifted his shirt revealing the seal, Naruto held it in place to make it easier for him. Kakashi then proceeded to lightly trace the seal markings. “So it seems nothing’s been changed yet, that’s a relief.” He thought to himself while continuing to examine Naruto. While thinking to himself he was snapped back to reality by Naruto suppressing what sounded like… giggles? He looked up at Naruto to see a large smile across his face. “Hmm” He mused. “What’s wrong Naruto?” Asking curiously, already having a pretty good idea. “It kind of tickles when you do that.” He replied. “Tickles, huh?” Asked Kakashi a bit mischievously. A thought came to him, giving him a cruel idea.
“This might be a bit fun.” He thought to himself, a playful look in his showing eye. In an instant, Naruto found himself in a headlocked position, bringing him to his knees. “K-Kakashi sensei?!” Stammered Naruto, uncertain of what just happened. Instead of replying, Kakashi simply glided his free hand over the seal. “Ka-hah kashi-heheheh sen-henseiheheh!!” Kakashi simply smirked and increased his pacing. “N-no! Stah-hahaha sto-hop! Pleasheheheseee!! Why are you, hahahahah!! Doing-hing thi-hiseheheh?!”
“I’m simply testing that seal of yours.” Kakashi replied casually. “Nohoho! Na-hahat like this!!” Kakashi just shruged and began to pick up his pace while tickling a bit harder. Bwahahahah!! Nahaha! St-stohahahap! Hahahahaha!“ As the tickling continued Kakashi decided to take a different direction. "Ahahahahahahaha! W-what’re youhohoho-” He cut himself off with a squeak as Kakashi assaulted his pits next. “AHahaha!! Nahahahahahah! It’s tohohoho much! Plea- *squeak* don’t!!” Kakashi hearing Naruto’s squeaks continues the rough house on his pits. Ah-HAH!! IS THIS REALLY HELPING?!“ Screamed Naruto. Kakashi being entertained and not wanting to let up, devised a new idea. Kakashi let up on the headlock, immediately after Naruto nearly doubled over on the ground from the extensive "inspection”. “I-is is over?” Asked Naruto catching his breath. “Nope.” Kakashi simply replied.
Taking advantage of his student’s exhausted state, Kakashi pulled Naruto into his lap, grabbing both of his wrists. “No… heheh no!” Naruto began to realize his situation. “Come now Naruto, it requires a great deal of inspection to make sure one’s seal is holding up.” Kakashi said trying to sound serious but coming across as a bit cheeky. “Besides, I’d say you needed bit of cheering up having such nightmares.” “But I don’t need to be cheered up, I’m fine!” Naruto forced an almost painful smile on his face. “Mmmm I don’t buy it.” Said Kakashi as he suddenly drove his finers into Naruto’s left ribcage, this of course driving Naruto into hysterics. “MUAHAHAHA!! N-HAHA NO!! KAHAHA KASHIHEHEHEH!!” “Yes?” Kakashi said speaking over Naruto’s laughter. “STAHAHAHAHAPAHAHA!! PLEAHAHAHAHAHA!! Naruto screamed. “Hmm…” Kakashi mused while doing a spider crawl motion on his right rib. “YOUHORHOR KILLEHEHENING MEHEHEHEH!!” Kakashi looked at Naruto faking a shocked expression. “So it seems I am.” Kakashi decided to let up on the poor boy and Naruto took this time to breath some much needed air.
“Heh..heh… that was awful” Naruto breathlessly exclaimed. “I’m sure it wasn’t that bad.” Kakashi smiled, Naruto’s wrists still in hand. A good few minutes passed by while Naruto caught his breath, he was about to question why he was still being held captive in his sensei’s lap only to be swiftly cut off with a loud and wet sound. Naruto taken by complete surprise (and tickly sensations) shrieked. “NAHAHA-BWAHAHA AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I C-CAHAHAN’T TAHAHAKE THIHIHIHIHISSSSS!!!” Naruto unable to form sentences right suffered through what seemed like endless raspberries.  Five long minutes later Kakashi finally let up and Naruto was a gasping mess, his face had reddened with the amount of harsh tickling and Kakashi could see tears taking form. “Well looks like I DID go overboard…” Naruto looked at Kakashi angrily, or would’ve appeared that way if there wasn’t a huge smile plastered to his face.
“You… you-hoo jerherherk…” “I try.” Smiled Kakashi. A few minutes go by as Naruto’s coloration finally returned back to normal and was finally able to get up out of Kakashi’s grasp. “Man, that was still a really jerk move!” Puffed Naruto at Kakashi. “Hmm I wonder what Sasuke and Sakura would think of this?”  Mused Kakashi. “WHAT?!! YOU’RE NOT TELLIN’ THEM ARE YOU?!” Panicked Naruto. “Calm down Naruto, I’m just pulling your leg.” Kakashi said, letting out a small chuckle. “Right…” Naruto said, still a bit embarrassed about it. “Naruto..” “Wh-what is it?” He asked. If anything actually does happen with your seal come and tell me, ok?“ Kakashi said while ruffling Naruto’s hair. "Yeah ok.” Kakashi made up to Naruto with some more ramen later that night for the extensive “examining” and Naruto didn’t really mind.
-Later that night-
Naruto had just gotten home from his second ramen run with Kakashi. “Man, finally home!” Naruto said exhausted from prior events. “What a day…” He said to himself as he plopped down on his bed, too exhausted to shower even, to be infact he was happy to go to sleep for he didn’t feel afraid of the nightmare anymore.

So please enjoy and leave a comment, reblog, like, if ya feel friends!
Also sorry for the crappy title and play on word heehee. Oh and this is SFW!
Fandom: Final Fantasy 7
Paring: Sephiroth x Cloud Strife x Zack Fair
Summary: Today has not been a good day for Sephiroth and to make matters worse the power is out. His lovers seeing their dear Sephy upset decide to remedy that and in the process make a new discovery.
~
It was a stormy day, pouring from early morning and continuing. The weather matching that of the General’s foul mood.
Sephiroth sat in his home office reading over reports regarding monster infestation around Midgard. Noting how most were escapees from Hojo’s labs. Frowning, he continued to read until the lights started flickering, he looked up only to be bathed in darkness, with the sound of the power shutting down.
‘This day couldn’t get any worse.’ Sephiroth thought as he withheld a sigh as he sat in the darkness of his office.
Today was overall not a great day, mainly due to seeing Hojo for a health checkup and examination. It only made his mood worse just remembering the encounter.
Every time he visited the doctor, with much reluctance and disdain, he always had something negative to say about him over his lovers. Reminding him that love is something beneath him, that he was not capable of it or happiness, that he didn’t need them. Drilling into him that he himself could not be loved and wasn’t loved because of his station and what he was. Then proclaiming that only he understood him. Sephiroth tuned out the mad scientist words and blocked them but sometimes the cruel word would get to him. After each checkup, being around the doctor always left him emotionally and mentally tired. As well as insecure and frustrated that he allowed the man’s words to affect him. Sighing he leaned back in his chair at least he was home alone, and his lovers hadn’t seen him yet.
“Seph!” Boomed a voice.
“We’re back!” Followed by another cheerful voice. “Oh, the power is out here to.”
Sephiroth sighed with a smile and quietly made his way into the living room. “Welcome back Zack, Cloud.” He greeted warmly seating on the couch. “How did today go?”
Zack grinned and threw off his jacket making his way to the silver haired general. With mako in his blood he could see in the dark just fine. The mako treatment enhancing his vision. He leaned down kissing the his lips before leaning back and pecking his forehead.
“Fine! Spikey is a natural with materia.” He grinned. “We would have practiced more if not for the storm knocking out the power, so we’ll continue tomorrow.” He moved to their bedroom deciding to change into comfortable clothes.
Sephiroth smiled as he received another greeting kiss from the blond before he followed Zack and changed into dry clothing. He heard a Cloud curse followed by Zack’s laughter. Most likely the blond ran into something or Zack was being a pest. They joined him on the couch, Zack sitting on his left and Cloud on his right. Both proceeded to sandwich the man, Zack laying against the arm of the couch with Sephiroth leaning against him and Cloud on top of the general.
“So how was your day?” Cloud asked playing silver hair by twirling it around his finger.
“It was… tolerable.”
“Hm?” blue eyes blinked in question. “So not a good day?”
Sephiroth frowned. “I didn’t say that.” He squeezed Cloud making him squirm with a giggle.
Zack snorted. “You didn’t have to.” He kissed his neck. “Aggravation is practically oozing from you and you’re tense.” He kissed his neck again and Sephiroth scrunched up his shoulders.
“Sooo what has our Sephy-kins in such a foul mood.” Zack grinned.
“Zackery…” Sephiroth warned against the nickname.
“Hmm?”
“Hojo…” at the mention of his name lightning and thunder boomed and flashed. Cloud snuggled more into the general.
“Even the weather hates that guy.”
“Tch figures it would be that spectral eyed bastard…Your mood makes sense now.”
“Can an accident happen to him.” Cloud muttered. “Ya know, The fatal kind?” Sephiroth chuckled running fingers through blond hair.
“If only spikey, if only.” Zack rested his chin on Sephiroth’s shoulders his hands wandering from his shoulders, sliding along his sides to wrap around his middle. He paused when he felt the general tense up, slightly moving his fingers he felt him flinch. Zack withheld a giggle and rubbed his cheek against the other. He smiled when the affection was returned. “One of these days karmas going bite him right on the ass.” Zack grumbled.
“What did he do?” Cloud gently cupped his face tracing his jaw line.
“He’s usual examination and prattling…about…” Sephiroth released a relaxed sigh shaking his head. “Nonsense…Nonsense I know that I should not allow to be a passing thought.” He frowned. “But still…”
“Its overwhelming.” Cloud finished; he understood the negative affect the mad doctor had on his general. Hell, pretty much he and everyone in Shinra, from cadets to the upperclassmen and soldiers, were terrified of the man and hated him at the same time. The disregard Hojo had for others, and living beings in general, was sickening. What Cloud disliked the most was how the doctor would make Sephiroth feel, despite hiding it so well. He and Zack could always see the difference in his behavior and how he carried himself. He wouldn’t show his weakness or vulnerability around his soldiers, but he and Zack were the exception. The reassurance he needed.
Cloud leaned up pecking pale lips. “Are you okay now?”
“Yes.” He smiled rubbing Cloud’s cheek. “I’m fine.”
“Hmm,” Zack hummed. “Doesn’t sound like you are.” He stated nibbling lightly at the pale neck.
“Za-ack!”
Both blond and brunette blinked at the sound that left past those lips. It was small and quiet but there was no denying it.
The general giggled.
Zack being a tease went back to nibbling on his neck and lightly tracing his ribs. He felt the general lightly squirm as small grunts left him.
“Spikey I think I found a way to make our dear Seph feel better.” No one needed lights to hear and see the grin on Zacks face.
Cloud perked up. “Oh! I wanna help!” and he wiggled down and sat on Sephiroth’s hips and began to lightly pinch his sides. Cloud giggled when their lover began to squirm even more while trying to suppress his laughter and trying to stop their hands.
“Cl-Cloud don’t e-encourage h-hi-him!” he stuttered out. When the pressure increased low and soft chuckles began to leave him. “Z-Zahaha!” He clenched his mouth closed, small snorts and grunts escaping.
“Oh no no that won’t do.” Zack wiggled his fingers more and Cloud attacked his tummy with vigor.
“Hahaha!”
Zack and Cloud gaped at the wonderful reaction they received soaking up the deep, yet velvety laughter of their beloved general. The sound was free and as if it was never let out before and held in restriction. Sure, they heard him chuckle, but it was always low and quiet, even in the comfort of their home, he still seemed shy and restrained.
But this time they are going to change that.
“Gods!” Cloud whispered in awe he wished the lights were back on just to see his expression. He bet a million gil he looks just as beautiful as he sounds. And who would have thought their general, lover, the demon of Wutai was ticklish. It never occurred to him to even do such a thing, but here he was.
And he loved it.
Sephiroth was struggling more as Zack, or Cloud? Hell, someone’s hands were wiggling against his ribs and moving up toward his…. Oh gods! “Nonono! Stohahap!” He chortled out and even yelped when he felt Zack nibbling the side of his neck. “NOT THEHAHAHAHA!” he felt fingers poking around his armpits and he arch forward to get away from the feeling only to arch back into Zack when he felt pokes to his stomach and pinches to his hip. “CLOUAHAHAHAHAHA! ZACHAHAHA!” squirmed between them.
“Yes!” They chimed grinning.
“NO-AHAHA-N-NO MORE!” He managed to laugh out.
“No more? But Sephy-kins why should we stop?” Zack teased while leaning to nibble on his ear. “Especially since you seem to be enjoying yourself.” The silvered haired man could do nothing but laugh shaking his head when Zack blew into his ear.
“But I guess we could stop.” Both paused, Sephiroth thanked the Gods on high as he was able to breath. Laughter toning done to chuckles his body still tingling from the torture.
“Shi-Shiva’s blessing…Ple-ease t-tell me you both are done…With this torture.” He panted out.
“Don’t know…What do you think Spikey?”
Instead of answering Cloud pokes a finger right into his navel with a loud, “Boop!” then he vibrated his finger.
“PFFTTAHAHAHA!” An undignified snorting laugh left from Sephiroth as he yelped and bounced. It didn’t help that Zack started up again and fingers dug into his hip.
The reaction made his two lovers crackup themselves, Cloud collapsing back on top of Sephiroth and Zack laying his head on his shoulder both laughing hysterically. Despite not being tickled anymore the general threw his head back laughing free along with them. It felt nice and the tight pressure he felt within in him was gone.
Leaving him with relief and ease.
The lights came back on, Zack and Cloud could finally see the state their lover was in. pale cheeks covered in a rosy red hair splayed out around him in a silver halo, but most of all was the soft satisfied smile on his face. It held all the pureness that made their hearts melt.
“Now do you feel better?” Both asked.
“Mn…Though once I catch my breath.” He eyes ever warm and glinting with mirth and regarding the two. “You both will be sorry.” Sephiroth chuckled as his face was peppered with kisses.
“It was Zack’s idea.”
“Wha! You helped to!” he frowned. “You’re just as guilty as I am!”
“I was nicer though.”
“No you weren’t!” The two bickered bath and forth go so far as to calling each other childish name.
Sephiroth chimed in. “You both were terrible.” Cloud and Zack stopped arguing and turned their gaze on the general. “You have two choices: Try to escape from my wrath. Or the two of you can decide among one another who goes first.”
“So we are in trouble.” Cloud stated with a shy cute smile making the general return it softly.
“Very much so.”
“Even when we made you feel better.” Zack added with a sensual smile.
“Yes.”
“Fair enough… but Seph you forget the third alternative.”
“Third?” he was sure there was a third. He tilted his head at Zack. “And that is?”
Zack grinned mischievously and attacked again with vigor. “We still aren’t done finding all those delicious spots!” Sephiroth tried to stop him yet could do nothing but laugh. He jumped with a snort when he felt hands squeezing his knees. Ifrits hell! He didn’t even think he could be ticklish in such a place or at all!
“YoHAHAHAH both hahaha arehahaha goiinnggg toohoh nonono hahaha!” Cloud laid between his legs tickling the inside of his thighs now. “
Cloud teased by cooing. “Wooow! Didn’t know you could be ticklish here!”
“Oh that is a fun place!” Zack commented vibrated his fingers on his hips.
Sephiroth couldn’t take much more and finally pleaded for mercy the two pausing in their onslaught but leaving their hands where they were.
“Are we still in trouble?” Zack whispered into his ear.
The general there still laughing lightly at the tingles and teasing. “Ye-hahaha okay okay nonoohoho!”
“Do you plan to spare us and no retaliation?” Cloud asked while giving light and teasing nibbles to his stomach.
“Yes hahaha!”
“Hmm, I think he is lying about that one spikey.”
Cloud snickered leaning up and kissing the general’s chin. “I know, if you do get us back I don’t mind.” He smiled sweetly. “It will be fun… I look forward to it.”
“I agree with spikey we should do this again! I mean we can already see you are sexy. But if I had known tickling you would open new horizons, I would have done it sooner!” Zack babbled. “We should have had a camera for pics and video!”
Sephiroth let out a laugh as the brunette babbled on though he had to admit he didn’t think he could enjoy such an act and be undone like that by his lovers. At first, he felt insecure and awkward but seeing and hearing the enjoyment from his lovers he did not mind. He also found himself much relaxed and free of the tension.
He was brought out of his musings when Zack spoke and sat up. “Hm?”
“Want me to start dinner?”
Before anyone could answer the lights went out along with the rest of the power again.
“Welp there it goes again.” Cloud said. “Soooooo now what?”
Zack threw his arms around the generals middle snickering as he flinched and began to struggle. “Don’t worry Seph you get a break for now…I say we just chill.” He got comfortable snuggling in the couch more.
Sephiroth grabbed the couch blanket and draped it over them and with the general still sandwich between them the three continued to talk until eventually drifting off to sleep wrapped in warmth and love.
Sephiroth never felt more secured in his life.

Tumblr media
the softness of the sheets felt like clouds as if swimming through in a dream. the sun had shone brightly than it ever did in the previous decades. birds were chirping, already showing off their voices and they probably annoyed the sleepers early in the morning.
it sounded like peace had come. after the battle with the neighbouring country, a pact was made that the two lands would not fight anymore; for it was to lessen the number of souls lost. the consensus was still to be processed and discussed. but at least they wouldn’t expect wars in the upcoming years.
eunwoo stood by the room, where the other members of the 097 crew sat in silence. he looked to the distance of the now spring’s horizon. the long winter was gone, and the memories from that day forgotten. rather, they chose not to remember, or in fact maybe just you and jaehyun. it scarred them so much that if one brought it up, for sure there will be tears; and if one started, it would definitely be a chain reaction to the rest of them. you both were part of the 097 crew after all.
“every time a new morning comes, i’m reminded how grateful i am to be alive.” yugyeom broke the silence.
bunch of cringed breaths and comments came from the rest.
“ew. since when were you this positive?” bambam asked so disgustedly. “it’s so not like you. at least that’s not how i last remembered you.”
“i am changed man.” yugyeom smirked, earning several pillows thrown at him. “ow! what was that for?”
“for being a changed man!” mina scoffed. she laughed soon after the boy responded with a pout. the windows were opened for fresh clean air. it was warm, and everyone in the core had their thick clothes hidden away; for the cold days were still far ahead into the year. since that day of the battle, the system remained the same, and new users kept coming to the core for refuge.
a soft groan and a shuffle from the bed alerted the rest of them. it meant a sign of going into the conscious. a smile on one’s face was contagious and it made everyone to do the same. their wait was long but it was worth it in the end. eunwoo looked to the person on the bed, and chuckled in relief.
“who opened the windows? it’s chilly.” a voice spoke, still drowsy from being awake. it was someone everyone hadn’t heard in a long, long time. they laughed at the unexpected first words from their weak, frail friend.
“hi. welcome back, jaehyun.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
jaehyun ate like he had never eaten before. the trays of finished food stacked on his side had built up a pile since he woken up. his team stared at him in awe and in shock. “i knew jaehyun’s a big eater but i’ve never seen him this hungry.” mingyu crossed his arms.
“compliment or not, i stand by the fact i’m still a big eater than all of you combined.” jaehyun munched on his food. “you mastered the jae-yook recipe, mingyu. i approve of this.”
“is it just me or i feel like i’ve seen this happen before? this exact same scenario.” mina mumbled as she rubbed her temples.
in a soft whisper, seokmin leaned in towards mina. “remember y/n acted the same when she arrived to the core? i officially call them the ‘happy hungry duo.’”
“oh so that’s why!” mina whispered and covered her lips in excitement as she tiptoed.
a sound from the trays, bowls and utensils fell onto the ground, startling the rest of them. they looked at jaehyun, who now stared at his friends. “y/n..?”
the dimpled boy’s eyes grew larger, closing his eyes and holding his temples as little fragments from that damned night came to a close in his mind. “and i’m alive? agh..”
“slow down there, jae.” eunwoo patted his shoulder. “what are you-”
“i was dead, eunwoo.” jaehyun sighed, “she was the last person i saw..”
soft beeps indicated on the monitor that his blood pressure was rising. mina held his hands in attempt to calm him down. “jaehyun, wait-”
“where is she? if i’m back here at the core, then she should be too, right?” the tip of his ears quickly turning crimson red, his body trying to get off the bed he was on. “i have to see her.” he removed the dextrose injection from his forearm and got off the bed, quick enough for the rest of them to not be able to catch him within their reach.
jaehyun stumbled and wobbled in his pj’s, pacing through the brightly lit hallway. his heart stammered in heavy beats in each pound. he helplessly looked through slim windows attached to the doors, hoping to see your face behind in any of those rooms. he ignored some of his friends who greeted him for his awakening. his legs dragged to every room, head throbbing whenever you didn’t show up.
eunwoo and the rest ran to catch up to him, only to see the young boy stood so still. the sun rays made him glow, making all of them wonder.
“y/n.” your name left his lips when he finally spotted you in front of his eyes. “y/n! i’m so gla-”
“wheein..” your hands tugged on the older girl’s shirt, startled with the sudden entrance. your little frame hiding behind hers, and the ash grey markings from your forearms to the fingertips stung a painful memory in jaehyun’s head.
“y/n, it’s jaehyun.” she whispered to you, caressing your shoulders.
the boy in front walked towards you, a little closer this time. you looked at him with a questioned face and knitted brows. you gulped as you blinked several times. “w-” your lips quivered. “who are you?”
jaehyun’s heart dropped low. soon his eyes clouded quick, remembering the outcome of the power he possessed. he never thought it would take a toll on you, that he had to be alive in order for it to actually work. but right now, everyone else heard and witnessed,
that you had forgotten him.
“what?” he let out a pained chuckle as he asked with a wavering voice. “y-you don’t know m-me?” his fingers curled as his attempt to hold your hands had failed.
“s- should i know you though?” you asked. you tilted your head to one side, averting your eyes from him. wheein felt the tight grasp of your palms onto her arm where she sensed fear and confusion. “i’ve never seen you before..”
you saw him step back after your honest response. his reddened ears alerted his friends. jaehyun’s breathing became heavy and his eyes bored into yours like you’ve done something wrong. eunwoo and mingyu held the shocked boy as he tried to get closer. “let go.” he demanded in a whisper.
“jaehyun, you’re scaring her.” mingyu said, even if he knew that that will hurt the boy more. “give her a-”
“i said let go!” jaehyun’s pricked with tears as his friends restrained him when he tried to free himself from their hold. the tall boys held him back. you jolted at the volume of his voice, your body almost hiding completely behind wheein.
“she can’t forget me! my powers shouldn’t have-” hiccups and tiny sobs were heard and you snuck a little peak from behind wheein. “it’s only me.. h- how is this possible?”
eunwoo bit his lips. “we’re not sure, jae.”
you noticed the red markings on the boy’s wrists. the force and pressure put onto him from eunwoo and mingyu’s hands. you felt bad. even if you didn’t know the brown haired boy, holding him down just to have a normal conversation with you was mean. “maybe you have mistaken her for me?” you asked, making jaehyun look at you. “if she’s here, i can help you pass the message.”
jaehyun took a step closer to you. he saw your eyes; filled more with life compared to the last time he saw them. yet he felt empty, because your eyes shined brightly without him in them. he sniffed as he tried to find the words. “y-yeah, we can try that.” a curve at the ends of his lips showed a small smile, making the rest of his friends smile too, in hope.
the rest of them watched intently in complete silence. their hearts and minds internally screaming at the fact both of their friends conversed as if they were strangers. however they too, were confused how jaehyun was forgotten by someone he was very close with, someone he considered to have the same identity with him.
“so what do you want to tell her?” you pursed your lips to wait for an answer.
“can you close your eyes?” he asked, and you did as you were told. “i.. wanted to tell her-..” he stumbled slightly at his words as he grabbed your right hand. you then felt his large but warm hands just underneath of your palms. although you wanted to question him of his actions, he didn’t seem to mean any harm. so you just let him be. “i wanted to tell her this.”
jaehyun began signing, and to his friends’ surprise, it was their first time to ever see such a new technique. he felt your flinches and the shaken limb. but he continued signing and his friends were anticipating the result with pained and worried hearts.
when he was done, he let go of your hands and tilted his head up high, not wanting for tears to fall. he covered them with his palms, sobbing quietly like a child. seokmin immediately saw how jaehyun bit his lips like they were about to bleed.
eventually jaehyun broke down and his sniffs were becoming frequent. he didn’t want you and him to be like this. he hated the fact that you forgot about him, just him. if that’s what the universe had decided, he had no choice but to accept this harsh reality. he exhaled and hiccups came out of his lips.
“crap i hate seeing these things..” eunha turned around with crossed arms.
“oh gosh tell me about it..” mina cleared her throat.
with heavy hearts, the rest of them stayed and watched jaehyun cry. they let him be in his own world and moment of acceptance. mina soon started to tear up, followed by the rest. though they felt extremely helpless, they could only give silent support to the heart-broken lad.
a little while later, jaehyun, who still had his head up high then felt his chest being leaned upon. he dropped his hands when he saw you huddled so close to him, just like you did when you both were back in the warehouse.
even with eyes closed, you knew your tears were dampening his shirt. as if your heart wanted to come out, it hammered so quickly that it became harder to breathe. flashes and fragments of memories of jaehyun came flooding right to you when he signed. you remembered him and it was painful to see him alive and well now.
instinctively but thought with care, your fingers curled into a fist, hitting him slightly on his torso and chest with the sides of your hands. you let out tiny sobs and they soon turned into wails. large hands immediately were wrapped around you, and that was when you stopped hitting.
“i.. hate you..”
jaehyun didn’t breathe for a second. you were actually conversing with him, where you remembered him. his heart skipped a beat. “is that the first thing i hear after-” jaehyun asked but was cut off.
“that time y-you said the plan will work, you promised you won’t die, you promised that i won’t kill you but i did. i felt you pass away in my arms. why did you lie-” you said in one breath.
“the plan did work, y/n.” jaehyun cupped your face, wiping your tears with his thumbs. “we defeated the enemy.”
“but you died. i felt you pass away in my ar-” you cried, not caring how you looked as you sniffed like crazy.
“i’m alive though.” he said and that made you speechless.
your head didn’t come up with words to reply him. “i hate you..”
loud voices, several lines of vicious profanities and heavy footsteps echoed the hallway. your heads shot up to two young men holding papers as they entered the once silent room. “oh my- chanyeol, gongchan, please mind the langu-” wheein hissed at their sudden entrance.
“we figured it out.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
you sat back comfortably on your bed, still light-headed from the sudden remembrance of memories of jaehyun. he sat just beside you as you all waited for the gongchan and chanyeol’s start of their research.
jaehyun felt his stomach churn at their short silence. he wondered and always had a lot of questions unanswered when he woke up from his coma. the shuffles from your legs made him look at you. his eyes widened and later softened at your ash grey forearms and held them in his hands. “they’re like how i last remembered..”
you held back tears. “might be permanent if there’s no solution.” you sighed, feeling circles drawn onto your palms.
“there has to be a way.” jaehyun’s grip tightened.
flips of pages soon caught attention to everyone. eyes locked to gongchan and chanyeol who readied themselves for a precise and concise result. for everyone, their hearts were the only thing they hear. “well, jaehyun and y/n had woken up.. quite sooner than we all had predicted.”
“just get to the point.” wheein crossed her arms. “they still need time to recover.” she tilted her head to the side as to point to where you and jaehyun were.
“right, okay you two.” chanyeol coughed as his eyes directed at you. “whilst we battled that day, we saw a mass of of dark light rays from the warehouse, equivalent to a volume of an explosion smoke. then it was followed by a white light. although we knew that it was both of your doing, we didn’t know what triggered it.”
“they did mention something about a plan-” seokmin said, his fingers pointed elsewhere.
“the plan was to make y/n use her marked powers and kill the enemies-” jaehyun interrupted.
“in which i killed you too even if i didn’t want to.” you said bitterly as you rubbed your temples.
“but her powers was said to lure everyone to death. why weren’t we drawn to it?” mingyu asked.
“exactly. also it doesn’t explain why jaehyun’s powers triggered as well when he was said to be ‘dead’.” eunha lifted a brow in question.
“can i continue? you all interrupted me.” chanyeol said, gesturing that he should be the one talking. “gongchan and i thought the reason why jaehyun ended up the way he is now, and y/n only forgetting him was.. the theory of yin and yang.”
“the philosophy of dualism concept?” eunwoo asked, earning a thumbs up from the older lads.
you tried to understand but nothing seemed to get to you. jaehyun on the other hand, also had a confused look in his face.
“we know that the yang is light, affirmative, full of life, strong; where as the yin is the dark, negative, death, weak. but in that thought, there’s still bad in the good, and good in the bad. with them together they create balance. we applied that concept to the powers of a marked, with the both of you, and we found that it’s exactly the same.” chanyeol explained in a simple manner.
“your powers are of life and death right? jaehyun can bring a person back to life, that’s the good. yet the effect is the lost of memories of a person, that’s the bad in the good. for y/n, she lures people to death without any control which is, of course, the bad. y/n said she feels guilt and sympathy as it triggers, and that’s the probably good in the bad. we also think that there’s more meaning to the ‘good’ in her. we just don’t know what it is, for now.” gongchan paused for the others to comprehend.
“we concluded that y/n might’ve realized something, causing both powers to activate. hence, when the yin and yang converged, it created life and this really explains why jaehyun is alive now.” he closed his file he was holding.
you sat there and was speechless at the facts and information they had gathered and researched. eunha and mina hugged you, and you couldn’t help but tear up at the revelation. the days of being alone were ending. the battle’s done.
“so no one’s gonna bother to answer why we weren’t lured into y/n’s marked powers?” mingyu asked, breaking the silence.
“i think it’s because she realized the good before her power was unleashed.” gongchan said, he walked towards you and tapped your head. “somehow, that part of her protected us all.”
“i think i know.” eunwoo snapped his fingers, making everyone look at the doe-eyed boy. “guilt and sympathy are just par, not a hundred percent ‘good’. y/n, when you first arrived you were against everything we do here, but once you hung out with jae, you gradually changed.”
“and your point is?” gongchan asked, clasping his hands together as he leaned on them.
eunwoo stayed silent, and a small smile visible after a second, “she was able to love..” giving jaehyun a quick glance. “..and with that realization, it merged with jae’s powers, that’s the good in the bad. so it protected us all.”
the rest of them saw your face turn red, and your eyes frantically looking everywhere. meanwhile jaehyun too, slowly turned red at the sudden comment.
“oh yeah, one more thing.” chanyeol spoke as he headed for the door. “because of the convergence, you both are ceased to be marked.”
the three leaders left for your group to catch up. you took a pillow and hid yourself from everyone, making eunha and mina tower over you with hugs as they squealed at the possibility of you liking jaehyun.
mingyu and seokmin too, teased jaehyun for having redder ears. they asked if he’d done something to make you fall for him. he kept denying, however he was transparent to everyone in the room.
the rest of them quarrelled with each other, defending and proving a point to whoever had possibly confessed first. eventually a bet was made.
so.. we’re not marked anymore.. you told yourself.
“but i could hear your thoughts?” jaehyun cleared his throat.
“stop hearing my thoughts- wait, why are we still absolutes?” you asked.
your question made everyone look at you.
“well my guess is that.. boreum did erase our powers as an absolute but they died before the convergence happened. maybe it backfired?” jaehyun sat beside you and grabbed the pillow to uncover your face. “so yeah, we are still absolutes.”
“oh my gosh, do you know what this means?” eunha whispered to mina, and mina gave a giggly laugh.
“oh yes,” she whispered to eunha’s ear, “absolute babies!”
“do you think it’ll happen?” seokmin joined in.
“absolutely.” “absolutely.”
the latter three giggled at you and jaehyun’s response to their thoughts. upon saying that, he let out a small chuckle that was so contagious, making you smile as well. his dimples showed as he leaned in closer to you, attempting to close the gap in between. you planned to give in, but you hit his chest gently.
jaehyun scoffed, pretending he was hurt so much at the force. “ow what was that for?” he asked and rubbed his chest.
“that’s for breaking your promise, dimples.” you chuckled and his lips agape at the nickname you gave him. he then felt his collar being pulled in closer and he smiled, feeling warmth on his lips. it was warmer than the winter. you giggled as you pulled away. “and that’s my answer to your signed confession.”
jaehyun held your hand. he realized the ash grey marks on your forearms now slowly faded and he smiled because it wouldn’t haunt him anymore, and that you were back to normal.
“okay, here’s 10 bucks, you two.” eunwoo handed the cash to mingyu and seokmin in defeat of the bet they had come up with, the other two overjoyed with their win.
“tsk, jaehyun didn’t man up when i thought he would.” eunwoo uttered in a low voice.
looking at the positivity in the room, he smiled at his group. he thought that you and jaehyun- were just people who haven’t encountered each other and walked in their own ways in the years before. you shared everything in common except for the time and place. sometime in the past, your stories might’ve happened simultaneously. yet you both didn’t know the other existed because you’ve never crossed paths. and because you both didn’t, one couldn’t continue without the other.
“do you love me?” you hugged jaehyun’s arm, your head leaning on his shoulder. he just chuckled at your child-like question.
“with this beauty?” he kissed your cheek, and he felt most satisfied than he had ever been in his life..
“absolutely.”
now that you both did find each other, and at this very moment, the both of you were finally in balance.
and that’s what matters.

No Regrets Part 15
Tumblr media
Will today be the day we meet Mia and Daryl’s baby?! <3 😊
It’s been a minute since I posted ANYTHING. Hi, human trashcan here! How are ya? My blog should be renamed THE HUMAN TRASHCAN hahaha! Anyways, I hope to get back into my requests soon. I just missed No Regrets and my other stories (and the other story idea brewing in my brain that I am trying to resist writing until I get through at least SOME of my one shot requests haha) and my birthday was March 4 and I call this AUTHOR’S CHOICE. So, thanks for your patience! I love you all 😊
It had been nearly twenty-four hours since Mia went into labor. Several hours had passed since her water broke and not even the warm bath had soothed her pain. Maggie helped Mia dry off and got her dressed, having to stop every minute to help her through another contraction. Once Mia was dressed, Maggie had brought her back into the bedroom where Rick could be more help. He’d spent the last few hours rubbing her back, bringing her water, everything Daryl would’ve done.
“I don’t think I can take this,” Mia panted.
“Alright, we can’t wait anymore,” Rick said, “We’ve gotta get you to the infirmary, Mia.”
Mia nodded, “You’re right. You’re totally right. Let’s go.”
She pushed through every contraction as Rick and Maggie led her out of the house. This was a pain she’d forgotten all about until now. She’d been through this before but considering her son had died, she wasn’t feeling too confident, which created more stress, which created more pain for her. It felt like the infirmary was at the complete opposite end of Alexandria with how long it took to get there. It was like the closer she got to it, the farther back it went.
“This…is so much worse than when I was in labor with my son,” Mia groaned, “I think this one might be trying to kill me.”
“Well, it is Daryl’s child,” Rick teased, “I’m just surprised it’s not kicking its way out.”
“Very funny,” Mia muttered. Denise was startled as the three of them burst into the infirmary but she was quick on her feet, bringing Mia to one of the bedrooms so she could have her privacy. Mia was thrilled to be off her feet and she had a moment of relief from the pain, “I just hope Daryl is alright, wherever he is.”
“You’re in all this pain and you’re hoping Daryl is okay,” Maggie chuckled. She sat beside Mia’s bed and pushed her hair off her forehead, “You’re one of a kind, Mia. I’m sure he’s doing just fine. Trust me, he’s made it through much, much worse. One of our people accidentally shot him once back in Georgia, at my dad’s farm. And that was after he got knocked over my dad’s horse and got an arrow in his side. He’s been through so many things that should’ve killed him. He’s bulletproof.”
“I hope so,” Mia murmured, “What if something happened to him out there though? I mean, I don’t even have a picture of him.”
“Hey, you just worry about having this baby, okay?” Maggie said, “Don’t get all worked up.”
“You’ll stay with me, won’t you?” Mia said.
Maggie smiled and nodded, “Of course I will.”
The contractions only got worse from there. Mia spent the rest of the night in agony, the contractions causing her to vomit at one point. But every time, she was told that she wasn’t ready to start pushing yet. And the more she heard that, the more frustrated she became. By morning, she was crying angry tears. “Why won’t this thing come out?!” Mia exclaimed. She was sitting at the edge of the bed as Rick stood in front of her, a tight grip on her hands. He let her squeeze his hands as much as she needed to despite how uncomfortable it was making him, “It’s been…god…forty-eight hours, right? Two days! Two days I’ve been at this!”
“You’re doing great, Mia,” Rick said, “Won’t be long now. Maybe your baby knows Daryl isn’t back yet and it won’t come out without him there.” Mia groaned, squeezing Rick’s hands once more, “Oh god I don’t even care anymore. I just need this to be over. Last time, I had an epidural. I didn’t even know it could get this intense. Thank you for trying to humor me though.”
“Anything I can do to help,” Rick said, “I’m really sorry, Mia. I shouldn’t have let Daryl go.”
Mia laughed, “Don’t be. I realize that I haven’t known him as long as you have but I’ve known him long enough to know that he would’ve left anyway even if we held him down or locked him up. He wants this place to be safe just as much as anyone else. He wanted this place safe for us.”
“Yeah,” Rick sighed. It was another hour of intense labor, Rick holding Mia’s hands while Maggie tried massaging Mia’s back. None of it was really easing Mia’s pain but the thought was nice. Rick certainly had more important things to do but he stayed by her side. If Daryl couldn’t be here, then Rick was second best.
Mia pressed her lips together, lowering her head, “Oh god…I feel like…I feel like I need to push.”
“I’ll go get Denise,” Maggie said, rushing out of the room. As she walked out, Aaron poked his head in.
“What is it, Aaron?” Rick asked.
“I’m sorry to interrupt but we need you, Rick,” Aaron said.
“Can’t it wait?” Rick said, helping Mia lie down on her back, “Mia’s ready to deliver. I don’t wanna leave.”
“Rick,” Mia said, releasing her tight grip on Rick’s hand, “Just go. Handle the problem, whatever that is. I’ll be fine, okay? I’ve got Maggie, it’s gonna be just fine.”
“I’ll be back as soon as I can,” Rick said. He rushed off with Aaron, passing by Denise and Maggie on their way out. Maggie frowned, “Where’s Rick going?”
“He’s needed somewhere I guess,” Mia replied, taking a deep breath, “But I’ll be fine.”
“Alright, Mia, your body knows what to do,” Denise said, “So when you feel the need to bear down, do it. Okay? Are you comfortable?”
“Not particularly,” Mia said, “But it’s the labor. I’m comfortable on my back for now.”
“Perfect,” Denise said. She put some gloves on and sat at the foot of Mia’s bed, opening up Mia’s legs, “Whenever you’re ready, Mia.”
“This better be important, Aaron,” Rick grumbled, “Mia’s already having to go through this without Daryl.”
“That’s the thing,” Aaron said. He led Rick up to the top of the gates, pointing to the massive truck parked a few feet away, “See that? It’s Sasha and Abraham and Daryl. They’re back but we have to get this horde out of the way to get them through the gates.”
The horde surrounding their walls hadn’t thinned out even a little bit, “Maybe we could lead them towards another part of the wall, clear the gates that way. Just enough for them to get through.”
“Hey!” Daryl called out. He’d attracted the attention of a few walkers but a majority were still focused on Rick, Aaron, and the others that were on watch, “Everyone okay in there? What about Mia?”
“She’s fine!” Rick shouted back, “We gotta get you in here fast though! She’s having the baby!”
“Right now?!” Daryl’s voice became slightly frantic. He dropped to his knees so he could look through the passenger side window. He and Abraham spoke amongst themselves and then Abraham slid a rocket launcher out the window. “What are you doing?!” Rick exclaimed.
“Handling this right now!” Daryl yelled back. He turned to one of the abandoned cars, one farthest away from the trees and he fired. The car burst into flames and exploded. The massive horde quickly turned to follow the flames, Rick and Aaron being able to easily pick off the rest that didn’t fall for it, “Hurry and open the gate!”
Daryl scrambled to get back into the truck as Abraham started it back up. Eugene and Rosita were standing at the gates and they quickly slid it open. Abraham sped through the gates and they quickly shut up the gates before the walkers could notice. The walkers did quickly notice and the horde made their way back to the wall just as Eugene locked up the gates.
“Holy shit,” Rick said, rushing to meet Daryl at the truck, “Daryl! She’s at the infirmary! Go!”
Pushing actually eased the discomfort of contractions and her body was actually doing a lot of pushing on its own. Denise and Maggie’s encouragement was definitely helping but after two days of labor and no sleep, she was so tired, she was lucky her body was doing most of the work.
“Come on, you gotta keep going,” Maggie said, “You’re doing so great, Mia. You’re almost there.”
“I miss the days of epidurals,” Mia murmured. Mia pushed again, letting out a small grunt.
“I’m seeing something here,” Denise said, “Just keep doing what you’re doing, Mia.”
Footsteps rapidly approached the door, though Mia didn’t think much of it as she figured it was Rick coming back from whatever Aaron asked of him. The door burst open and a very sweaty and bloody Daryl stood there, his blue eyes wide and his body tensed up, “Mia?!”
Mia gasped, “Daryl! Daryl, you’re here! What happened out there?!”
“We’ll focus on that later,” Daryl panted. He rushed to Mia’s side and grabbed her hand, his free hand rested on her round belly, “Let’s focus on having this baby for right now. I can’t believe I almost missed this.”
Mia felt another urge and she started to push again. She started to feel a burning sensation between her legs and she let out a cry. Denise patted Mia’s leg, “I know it hurts but don’t stop. The baby is starting to crown. Mia, give me your hand.”
Denise took Mia’s hand and Mia’s jaw dropped when she felt a head of hair on her fingertips. Denise beamed, “There’s your baby’s head. Daryl, you wanna see?”
Daryl leaned to the side to get a look and Mia was expecting him to freak out or express disgust but he simply turned to Mia with a warm smile, “You’re almost there, Mia.”
The burning only got worse and Mia squeezed her eyes shut as she pushed again. At that point, she was blocking out everyone’s voices, even Daryl’s. She just wanted her baby out and in her arms. With a loud groan, she pushed one last time and the pressure released. She opened her eyes as silence filled the room. Her heart pounded against her chest. Denise hadn’t looked up yet and Mia started to tremble. Had history repeated itself? Was she totally unable to have a healthy baby?
Finally, she was given the wonderful sounds of a crying baby. Denise finally looked up and lifted the tiny baby for her to see. Mia instantly burst into tears as Denise laid the bloody baby down on her chest. The baby cried until it was laid on Mia’s chest and it calmed down, though it still squirmed.
“I can’t believe it,” Mia breathed heavily, “You’re here, you’re here, you’re here.” Daryl leaned over Mia to get a look at the baby and he stroked the baby’s head gently with his thumb, “I’m so glad I didn’t miss this. I’m sorry I was late.”
“You were here for the most important part,” Mia said, “And you’ll be here for the rest of our lives. That’s all that matters. I’m just glad you’re okay.” Mia lifted her head and kissed Daryl’s lips tenderly, “I love you. I love you so much.”
“I love you,” Daryl mumbled against her lips.
“Here, I’ll clean up the baby for you,” Maggie said. After Daryl cut the umbilical cord, Maggie carried the baby off to clean it up.
“Congratulations you guys,” Denise said, “You’re parents to a beautiful and healthy baby girl.”
HI GUYS! Okay, so, I know the middle part rushed a little bit but I wanted to skip the whole tower comes down and walkers get in because it would just prolong the process and I….I got just a LITTLE lazy. BUT I think it worked out because the baby girl is finally here! Leave your ideas for names in the comments!! 😊 THANKS FOR READING

Deckerstar — don’t hide away 1/1
Summary: An overdue moment shared in the rain between Chloe and Lucifer in the aftermath of his reveal.
Ratings: General Audiences
Words: 666
Warnings: Post-reveal. Post-3x24. Language.
AN: Greetings readers, old and new! Welcome to the latest installment of The Devil's Lucky Number series, in which all my OTPs deserve a moment in the rain—à la Elizabeth and Darcy in Pride & Prejudice (2005) style.
But mostly based on this prompt posted on the exceptional @luciferprompts blog—
Post-reveal: Chloe hasn't spoken to Lucifer for some time, and Maze lets slip Lucifer's leaving for good. Chloe rushes over to the Penthouse but all she finds is a very surprised and disheveled Devil. (He was never leaving.)
Hope everyone's having a good Easter so far!
Title from the Billie Eilish song come out and play.

She fucked up.
And the Heavens sought to reiterate this by choosing today—of all days—to unleash a mutinous downpour.
Thanks, she snarked upwards. You’re hilarious, a real class act.
But even that was half-hearted, for she knew that at the end of the day—
She had no one to blame but herself.
Lucifer executed his promise to give her space, and she internally vowed not to let the gap between them yawn to a chasm too discordant to bridge.
Except days turned into weeks turned into a month; as the hours stretched—so did her fears.
Not of him… never him.
No, Chloe was afraid of herself—of the magnitude with which his revelation did nothing to alter her truth.
She loved him.
With every beat of her battered, human heart—she loved him.
And therein lay the problem.
What could she, a mere mortal, offer him? This divine creature of—loathed he was to believe it—inimitable goodness and light.
That she could admit to herself just how fucked she made the situation only proved how weak she was.
Because more than anything, she was afraid to lose him.
Now thanks to that weakness, the causatum of her worst nightmares was unfolding.
Unless she made it in time.
“Lucifer!” she called just as his wings flared behind him, the feathered appendages soaked but gleaming against the gloom of the twilight deluge.
“Detective?”
She hardly registered the angry pelt of cloudburst against her skin as she stepped onto the balcony and into his gravity.
“I’m sorry,” she cried. “I shouldn’t have avoided you for so long and you—” she clutched desperately at the lapels of his jacket. “You don’t have to hide, not from me. And I should’ve told you sooner and now I’m too late because you’re leaving—”
“But I’m…” he shook his head bewilderingly. “not… going… anywhere…?”
She gaped. “You’re not?”
“Goodness, no. For better or for worse, Earth is my home. And there are—” he gave her a pointed look to which she blushed, “—those I would rather endure the trials of humanity for than to ever be without.”
He sniffed disdainfully.
“Whatever gave you that impression anyway?”
“Maze—”
And there it was.
Her erstwhile roommate had been relentless in her pursuit of a forgiveness Chloe hadn’t been so forthcoming in bestowing. Yet she had to credit her perceptiveness despite the deceit, that the ultimate catalyst for reconciliation would be the threat of his permanent exodus.
“That little demon,” she murmured.
Though perhaps she was forgiven, after all.
“But what are you doing out in the rain?”
“Oh,” the euphoric shine christening his dark orbs and tinting his expression with effulgence was infectious. “But I just love it! It was so dry in Hell that I can’t resist basking in it every time. Besides,” he stretched his wings, “roomy as my bathroom is, it’s still ill-equipped for any proper grooming so I took advantage of the torrent. If I ever forget how inconvenient these blasted things are—”
And so she remembers—down to the infinitesimal fibers of her soul—how to love him.
Because it was Lucifer, and he had never been anything but who he was—enough.
And even after her aberration, his gaze upon her—scaturient with a four-letter emotion she was sure they were well on their way to acknowledging—remained unchanged, and this is how she knows.
She, too, was enough.
“So, you’re staying?” her grip on his jacket loosened, only to graze the strong slope of his shoulders.
He grinned crookedly, arms snaking around her waist.
“Till you desire otherwise.”
“Not possible.”
“Suppose,” he hummed, breath a cold mist before him but his body deliciously warm pressed against her shivering figure, “I’ll just have to live with that.”
“How awful,” she teased hoarsely, knees weak with relief. “To be stuck with me.”
“And yet,” he sighed, sealing what little abysm remained between them.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
AN: I have... mixed feelings about this lmao. This was a whopping 1k in its genesis. Not for any plot reasons really, but just cause I love my flowery language XD So if the pacing is that tiny bit off, you know why.
Tbh, I'm more excited for the installment after this but that's for another day hahaha.
But how did you guys find it, is the better question. Let me know! And if you have any requests, don't hesitate to hit me up here!
See you guys in the next one ;)

Previous Chapter / AO3
5. Spring
The snow was melting, the air warming up as the green grass started to peak back through, the bright flowers that surrounded the castle beginning to show signs of life again. Spring was coming back which was a huge relief to Aqua who couldn’t stand the cold winter months.
The kids had been getting cabin fever too; despite the vast castle they lived in she knew all too well sometimes it never seemed big enough when all you wanted to do was be outside. It was even worse when she was unable to travel between the worlds as much as she used to. She found herself much looking forward to the warm weather when sitting outside was an option again.
The grass was a little damp, but the sun was shining overhead and most importantly Aqua only needed to wear a loose sweater over her clothes to stay warm enough while she was sitting down enjoying the first nice day in what seemed like ages.
The familiar clang of sparring was never too far away as she was sitting just outside one of the training grounds. She knew she didn’t need to watch over the kids, they were more than capable of fighting on their own but Aqua welcomed any distraction. The castle was big, and there weren’t that many people who lived there but it always seemed a lot emptier when Terra was gone.
Kairi landed on her feet near where Aqua was sitting, sliding slightly on the cement before pushing back off to go after the opponent. Kairi swung her keyblade around, making perfect aim in that way that she did but Sora was there to block her. She jumped back again, reaching a hand up to wipe some of the sweat from her forehead.
Sora called out something for her as he crouched back down, usual grin on his lips but what he said Aqua couldn’t quite hear. Whatever it was worked; Kairi took off again, this time landing a spell close to where Sora was standing, nearly knocking him off his feet. He recovered with a proud smile, but wasn’t going to let her win that easily.
Aqua couldn’t help but feel her chest feel light at the sight of them. It seemed like ages ago when it was her sparring, trying to figure out a way around Terra’s strong attacks. He was much more of an intense fighter than Sora was, and Aqua was trained much longer than Kairi ever was but the heart of it was the same; two people who only wanted to see their partner improve and excel.
Aqua leaned back slightly, placing one hand behind her in the grass as the ache in her back started to get a little too strong. She rested her other hand on the top of her stomach. It had almost become habitual since everyone who needed to know knew, and since, well, she couldn’t hide it anymore even if she wanted to. She very well probably would’ve run out of clothes that fit her at this point if she didn’t have Kairi who was more than happy to bring clothing back every time she left their world. Not to mention the accumulating mass of baby clothes and toys that only seemed to get larger every time Aqua went into the nursery; which was probably mostly from Ven and Lea who still seemed to be in a battle over who could be the best uncle.
A smile pulled at her lips as she absent mindedly tapped her thumb against her stomach. She had been so afraid at first, afraid of what to do, what people would think, what they would say but she found she had the best support system she could ask for. Kairi and Sora were more than happy to bring back anything Aqua would ever ask for (and more) without a single question; save for Sora who’s genuine curiosity sometimes got the best of him. Ven jumped at any opportunity to help Aqua with anything she needed, which she found comforting when Terra wasn’t home. Riku and Lea were always a little more hesitant, like they were unsure how to handle all of this but Riku was the first one to offer to help Terra with whatever they were asked to assist with when she couldn’t go, and Aqua often found teas or food already made with her name on it in a scribbly handwriting she knew to be Lea’s.
She sighed as she glanced up to the sky overhead. A part of her wished she could see Terra and Riku coming back even though they still had an estimated few days away. The world was a very different place now, but she couldn’t help but still feel that ache of worry whenever anyone of them left their world. There was always a threat, and there was always a need for them, which is why they continued to do their jobs but she didn’t always like it.
Sora let out a surprised cry making Aqua look back to the training grounds. He was rolling off to the side, the ground scorched and still flickering with fire next to him. “That’s not fair,” he said as he jumped up to his feet, though he sounded more impressed than mad. “Lea always teaches you the good stuff.”
“It’s plenty fair,” she laughed, moving to take a defensive position as Sora started to charge after her.
Kairi blocked him, making him jump back and swing into his next attack.
Aqua wondered if they knew how similar they were to her and Terra when they were younger. She was half tempted to bring it up just to see the looks on their faces.
She wanted to ignore the slight sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach but it was hard. As much as she was grateful Terra had no problem stepping up for her when she was unable to do her job any longer, she wished he didn’t have to leave so often. Next to her he was the oldest master here and Riku had the most seniority so they were gone the most. Ven wanted to go this time, but opted to stay back probably more for Aqua’s sake than anything. Though the last time she checked both Ven and Lea were still sleeping their morning away.
She knew it wasn’t easy on Terra either. She saw the way he tensed whenever an assignment would come in, hoping it didn’t specifically request him or her so he could give the lead to one of the other kids. He didn’t like leaving her any more than she liked him to leave, despite the fact she still had months to go before she was close to being near the due date. While the past was firmly in the past, Aqua couldn’t deny being separated from him made her nervous, now more so than ever.
She sighed as she looked back up at the sky one more time just in case.
Still nothing. She didn’t know why she was surprised. Apparently her attempted distraction wasn’t doing as much as she wanted to. It was hard without his ever familiar presence, his low voice never too far away, his comforting hands laced over her stomach as she tried not to fall asleep leaning back against him on the couch.
It was a surprise; the sudden pressure on the side of her stomach, the almost weightless feeling of motion that made her breath catch in her throat. “Oh,” was about all she could manage at that moment, hand fluttering down to where she felt the movement but it was enough to get the attention of both Sora and Kairi.
“Aqua?” Sora said, his voice questioning. “Are you okay?”
She nodded, mainly because she wasn’t sure if she spoke any words would actually come out. She kept her hand pressed to the side of her stomach though there wasn’t anything else. Did she imagine it?
Her answer apparently hadn’t been satisfactory because when she looked up Sora was hurrying over to her with Kairi on his heels.
“Is something wrong?” he asked again, this time leaning over so his hands were on his knees, forehead furrowed. Kairi stood next to him looking like she wasn’t sure if she should be worried or not.
“No, no,” Aqua breathed. “Nothing’s wrong.”
“Then what is it?” Kairi asked.
“I just…” Aqua tapped her fingers lightly against her stomach, but nothing. “I thought I felt the babies move.”
“Whoa, really?” Sora’s tone changed completely from worried to eager as Kairi clapped her hands together, an excited gasp coming from her lips.
“What did it feel like?” she asked, leaning over Sora slightly.
“I felt a sort of push against the side here,” Aqua said, tapping the spot again. “And almost a turning sensation, it’s hard to explain. But I can’t imagine what else it could’ve been.”
Sora let out a whistle, looking to her stomach and back up to her face. “Not doing it again?”
Aqua shook her head. “No, doesn’t seem so.”
“What were you thinking about beforehand?”
“Sora,” Kairi giggled, reaching over to push at his head slightly. “I don’t think it works like that.”
“Well, why not?”
“Oh, I mean, I was just thinking Terra,” Aqua answered, no reason not to tell them.
Sora clicked his tongue, gesturing towards her. “See I bet that was it, they miss him too.”
The sentiment from Sora’s tell it like it is voice made Aqua feel a rush of emotions, nearly making tears prick at her eyes. Simple maybe, possibly implausible but the thought their kids even as small as they were recognized who their father was and when he wasn’t here was enough to make her want to cry.
Aqua gasped when she felt the same pressure against her, this time a few more pushes against her stomach.
“What is it?” Kairi asked, voice sounding a little enthralled. “Did they move again?”
Aqua held her hand out for which one of them wanted to take it first. Sora tried but Kairi reached Aqua first and he seemed to be okay to let it go.
She placed Kairi’s palm down on the side Aqua was feeling the most movement from. There was no sharp motion at the moment but she could still feel the almost weightless motion them adjusting. Kairi’s forehead furrowed like she was afraid she was missing something but that elated grin was back when she felt what was probably a kick.
“Oh, wow,” she breathed. “It’s really there.”
Sora, who seemed to get impatient in the few moments he was left out, nudged his hand under Kairi’s. She rolled her eyes but moved her hand so he could get in better.
“Did they stop?” he asked, looking up to Aqua.
She hummed. “Sort of. I can still kind of feel them moving but I-oh!” This was going to take some getting used to.
“Hey!” Sora exclaimed, a smile similar to Kairi’s on his lips. “That was a strong one. Good kick, baby.” He tapped the spot once before leaning back on his heels. “Well, they’re definitely you and Terra’s kids.”
Kairi leaned down a little closer to where Sora’s head was. “Do you think they can hear us?”
“They should,” Aqua said, moving her hand to where his had been a moment ago. “Even if it’s just a vague sort of noise to them.”
“Do they recognize how we talk?” Sora asked.
“You mean, like being able to tell you apart?” She felt another sharp movement but otherwise it seemed to be settling down.
“Yeah, like would they recognize us by our voices?”
The curiosity and genuine excitement in both their eyes made Aqua feel like she was going to cry again, though she was aware that was probably more due to her hormone level than anything. She didn’t know what she deserved to have people who cared so much for her and her children who weren’t even born yet, but she was thankful every day these were the people she shared her home with.
“They can probably recognize tones, especially ones they hear a lot,” she said, absently mindedly rubbing the side of her stomach even though the motions had settled down to nothing again. “So they’ll know mine the best, and Terra’s probably after but I spend enough time with Ven and all of you that I don’t think you’ll ever be strangers to them.”
Kairi sighed, happy smile on her lips. “I can’t wait to see them.”
Aqua hummed; she didn’t think she needed to vocalize she felt the same.
“Well, in that case we’re gonna be buddies,” Sora said, pointing his finger at her stomach. “So that you guys know that I’m actually the best uncle. Don’t tell Ven or Lea, it’s our secret, babies.”
Kairi rolled her eyes, reaching over to tap at Sora’s head. “You boys are ridiculous.”
“Easy for you to say, you don’t have any competition!”
She was already laughing when Sora pushed himself back up to stand. He didn’t look mad, he never was mad at her. It was so familiar it struck a jab at Aqua’s heart. She could almost picture the surprised look on Terra’s face when she told him she could feel the babies moving, the way it would melt into that warm smile, the glisten in his eyes that she had gotten so used to these past few months. She missed him; she wished he didn’t have to go this time.
“Why don’t we go wake up Lea and Ven for lunch,” Aqua said instead.
“Can we wake them up any way we’d like?” Sora asked. He was always a sweet boy, but that mischievous look him his eyes came out, especially when it came to his friends.
“You didn’t hear yes from me,” Aqua said, bracing on hand against the ground to help catch her balance enough to stand up; it absolutely wasn’t as easy as it used to be.
Sora held out both his hands for her which she took with a grateful smile. Once he was satisfied she was on her feet, he quickly took off after Kairi who was already walking back to the castle. He must’ve said something to her, because she reached over to push him while she laughed.
Aqua followed behind them, looking once more at the sky. Still nothing. With a sigh she looked back up to the castle, at least she wasn’t alone, the kids kept her plenty company.
“Just in time for lunch?”
She paused on the walkway, turning her head to look behind her only to see Riku heading up towards her. He had his hands rubbing together, like there was nothing more appealing than eating at right this second though really he was probably just happy to not be working anymore.
“Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes,” she said, though when she glanced behind him Terra wasn’t there. “Everything go okay?”
“Yeah,” he said, waving her off. “Just fine. He’s coming don’t worry.”
She wondered when Riku was able to read her so well; he probably took after Terra more than she ever noticed. Even still the relief she felt was more than a little welcome.
“Did they notice?” Riku asked, point towards Sora and Kairi who were almost to the castle door now.
“Not that I know of. If you hurry you’ll get the pleasure of waking up Lea and Ven too.”
Riku snorted, but he waved as he broke into a jog to catch up with his friends. Aqua looked back down the path again but this time Terra was walking up. She waited for him as she felt a smile pull at her lips; even though he wasn’t even within touching distance just knowing he was home was enough to make everything feel back in place.
“Hey,” he said, coming to stop in front of her. He looked like he was going to say something else but she threw her arms around him before he could, landing her head against his shoulder.
She felt him breathe out a long breath as he put his arms around her too, hand resting on her lower back and chin propped up on her head. “I missed you,” she murmured into his clothes, even though she felt like it was an obvious statement.
“Yeah, I missed you too.”
Aqua could feel the brush of his lips against the top of her head though she didn’t move, opting to take in the reassuring warmth of his body, the familiar scent she always associated with him. Her eyes fluttered shut. “Riku said it went fine.”
“It was fine, no need to worry like I know you did.”
She tilted her head up to see him looking down at her, knowing smile on his lips but before she could actually tell him anything she felt that same weightless sensation as before.
“Everything okay here then?” His forehead wrinkled in that way it did when he was the one who was worried but didn’t want to admit it.
She reached a hand behind her, pulling at his till she could place it on the side of her stomach. His hand was bigger than either Sora or Kairi’s and much more familiar. Instinctively he rubbed his thumb against her but stopped short when he felt what she did, that same pressure against her stomach.
His eyes flickered up to her, the slight look of disbelief evident in his face. “Is that…?”
Aqua hummed as she nodded, her hand still over his. “Yeah, welcome home.”
His laughter was a little choked, but she got to see that smile of his. Aqua really had no idea how aware they were at this point, how much they could actually recognize Terra’s presence or his voice or if they were just reacting to her being a strange mix of elated and relaxed now that he was back, but they were moving more constantly than before.
“Clearly from all of us,” she said, reaching her other hand up to brush some of his hair from his face.
He leaned into his cheek into her touch. “Glad to be home.”
Before she got a chance to say any more he tilted his head down to kiss her. It was soft in only a way Terra was. For all his size and strength, he was the gentlest person she knew both with her and with the others. Aqua couldn’t help but lean into him more as she kissed him back. She missed this, she missed him.
The kids could wait a little longer for lunch.

Your best friend Dongmyoeng, was always cheerful and energetic. You too, considering that's how you guys became best friends in the first place. But with Dongmyeong, you always find yourself exhausted after the day ends.
You guys first met during elementary school. You were once known as the shy and quiet girl in your class. Constantly getting attention only because of your family background. And also there's your older brother, Hyungu, who was fairly famous for being considered as a musical genius at a young age and was also fairly famous around the campus.
"Hi, I'm Son Dongmyeong, pleased to meet you guys!!!" an overly energetic guy in front of the class suddenly rang one day during a sunny Wednesday morning on your 3rd grade.
"Now class, I want you all to be kind and be-friend Dongmyeong here, ok?" the teacher said, delighted of the overflowing energy of the said kid.
"Yes, Ma’am!” You heard your classmates say, to which you followed awkwardly.
"What was that? Y/N’S a weirdo~!" A girl sitting in front of you suddenly teased you once more.
You were once again on the brink of tears when the transfer student suddenly greeted you.
"Hi~!"
"H-huh?" Words suddenly so hard to come out of your mouth.
"The teacher said, I'd be your seatmate for the rest of the school year." He gladly said showing his bright smile to you once more. But in both awkwardness and shyness, you couldn't answer him. Instead, you chose ignore him and faced the other way.
/"Hey, Y/N, let's go eat lunch together."
/"Y/N, I bought the magazine I told you about."
/"Ya~Ya~ Y/N, why is your hair so long?"
He both annoyed and teased you; you couldn't help yourrself but to hate him.
“Hahaha, that's so weird!" you laughed aloud at your older brother as he tried to bathe his poor dog.
"Sh-shut up, you haven't even washed your hair for 3 straight days." He said as he struggled on his dog.
"Hyunnie, it’s Christmas break, let me be. I feel so lazy washing my hair." You once again laughed.
"Waah, so Y/N doesn't wash her hair?" You heard a familiar guy behind you. You instantly froze and couldn't face the guy. 'Please don't let it be him' you silently wished.
"Myeongie. Perfect timing, I really really need your help." Hyungu said that made you want to burry yourself 6 ft. below the ground.
...and that whole day, you couldn’t even bring yourself to come out of your house, no, your bedroom because of embarrassment.
"There, all done." You heard Hyungu shout downstairs, to which you sighed relief to.
"Haha, thank you, really Myeongie.” You heard Hyungu laugh.
"That's ok, Hyung. By the way, where's Y/N? I haven't seen her come out ever since I arrived." You heard him say to which you froze.
"Haha, that brat? She's upstairs, probably on suicidal stage because of embarrassment." Your older brother joked.
"Haha, why? I find it cute though." Myeongie said that made you blush.
‘No, no. Y/N, you should stop eavesdropping now.' you convinced herself as you decided to continue reading Kimi Ni Todoke.
Later that night, you heard Hyungu knock on your door. You lazily opened it, and got back to your comfy bed.
"What is it?" you said, now back on your phone.
"Myeongi said he wanted to you to be his History partner for your upcoming reporting next month." He straightforwardly said, you almost couldn't believe what he actually said to you.
"Wha-what?" You said, now attention purely on him.
"I meant what I said." He coolly said, turning his back on you, as if he was Uchiha Sasuke or something. Probably on high mode again, you joked.
"Do it, if you don't want embarrassment befall you at school." He now said, to which you now doubt if he was truly her brother or was some kind of character he plays on some mobile games he lately became addicted to. "Or, you could try hearing my new compositions." He grinned from ear to ear. Now, that was your older brother, alright.
"Sure, sure." You laughed.
"..and Y/N? You’re older brother wasn't joking." Hyungu suddenly said taking you aback.
"O-ok..." You answered knowing full well you’re clearly defeated by both Hyungu and Dongmyeong at this point.
...little did you know that guy would change your, from a timid little girl to a hyperactive girl you really were. That Dongmyeong could actually bring out the real you in front of everyone. He was able to get that nervousness you get when meeting new people out your chest.
Though, behinds his playful antics, he had that beautiful talent you truly admire of; his singing. The first time he told you he was planning in joining the band Hyungu was forming, you laughed. And with laugh I mean, rolling on the floor laughing your heart out as your eyes starts to water due to laughing too much.
Yes, that's how you truly couldn't believe he could actually sing. Well, how could you? YOU’RE also cheerful and playful, but you couldn't sing. You COULDN'T even sing an actual song properly without someone (usually your circle of friends) laughing at you and force you to stop singing whenever they would sing in a karaoke. Heck, you can't even read notes properly like how your older brother does it. Well, you guessed, it was really as what they say—don’t just the book by it’s cover.
Actually, scratch that; you can't even read notes properly like how well your family does it. Yep, that's right, you grew up in a family loving music. Both your parents was in a band together when were in their school days. Even now, though your parents are now loyal servants of the law (your mother being a lawyer, and father being a respected police officer) they still can't deny their love for music.
Of course, your mother comforted you about your singing, saying some things like 'you ARE a great singer and just needs a little boost and practice to enhance your skills'. But, even though your mother told you that, you still couldn't possibly believe her words,
What? Just because your mother says your beautiful, doesn’t mean you really are.
Yeah, exactly, that's why your singing really helped you lower your self-esteem a little. Just a little bit. Just a teannie meannie little tiny bit, as you would jokingly say once Dongmyoeng asked you about it. After all, you can always use it as a joke to make your friends laugh.
...just like how Dongmyeong would always make you laugh; through his silly personality. He would always make sure your happy and smiling.
"And now, we will be picking the top 2." you heard BoA say through Yerim watching PD101s2 on your smartphone.
You guys were now on your bedroom on a slumber party for Yerim’s cousin, Rima who will be transferring to the city to start anew as a trainee at a famous company.
"Is that Producing?" Rima said, as she walked over where Yerim was.
"PD101s2?!" Your eyes gleamed in delight at the thought of seeing your best friend on TV--well not exactly TV as it is on the phone—reader, you get it-.-
"Ye-yeah..." Yerim said, avoiding your gaze.
And as you approached them, both Rima and you noticed Yerim slowly hiding your phone.
"What's wrong?" You asked your best friend.
"J-just..." Yerim said and averted her eyes from you.
"What suspense is this?! Just give it. It's hers anyway." Rima laughed and took Yerim phone from her cousin. However, as soon as she got a hold of it, she suddenly had the same expression as Yerim.
"Wh-what?" You laughed and took back your phone.
And as soon as you got a hold of the phone, you almost regretted taking it.
Scanning the people on the 60 chairs, you trembled and you could have swear your eyes were beginning to water.
'No, why is there no Dongmyeong?” you thought as you bit your lip, and lightly tapped your right foot in confusion on what to do.
Though, before you could think properly again, your feet suddenly moved on their own and took you to a route you—let’s just say, very familiar to.
...on your phone, you could hear BoA' words .
"Trainee Park Jihoon!"
Just giving you more energy than you needed to run.
-
"Son Residence"—It read.
You wasted no time and entered the house as if it was the most normal thing to do.
"Y/N?" Dongju called you from the kitchen.
Dongju was Dongmyeong’s twin brother.
You were no stranger from the family at all. The family treated you as their own, as you to them. You were like a family member that entering the house was like going home to your own. You wouldn't knock as has been so comfortable with the family.
"Dongju..." You greeted as you try to catch your breath.
"Well, this is a first..." his twin laughed as he continued, "You never visited this late at night before."
"Where’s Dongmyeong?" You asked as you tried to catch your breath.
"What are you talking about? He's still in P*j*, remember?" Dongju laughed as he accidentally glanced over the your phone, Park Jihoon saying his 'Thank You' speech.
Dongju’s expression changed and his voice turns into worry.
"He's upstairs." He said and looked upstairs to Dongju’s room in worry. You quickly thanked Dongju before you quickly ran upstairs to where his bedroom would be.
You knocked on his door three times.
*Knock*Knock*Knock*
There was no response; instead, you heard the noise of his TV inside.
"National Producers, please take care of us~" you heard the whole trainees said.
Scare and worry surrounds you as thoughts of Dongmyeong probably committing suicide got the better of her. All possible scenarios on your mind.
And with that in mind, you quickly opened his door, thanking the Gods it wasn't locked.
"Dongmyeong!” You shouted as you opened the door.
When you opened the door, fear filled your at the thoughts that your fears might come true.
Darkness filled his bedroom, the only source of light being his TV as IP101s2 plays. Dongmyeong was on his bed, sitting half of his body laid sideways, watching Producing with life seemingly have left his eyes.
“Dongmyeong!” you once more yelled as you approached him.
“Ah! Y/N~” he greeted you with a smile. READ: tried to smile.
“I-I thought you were trying to kill yourself.” You said in between her heavy breathing, as she slowly walked towards him.
“Me? Committing suicide? Why would I do that?” he laughed like his usual self. But that smile quickly  dropped when he saw your phone playing and quickly pulled you by the waist and hugged your whilst he sits, burying his face on your tummy.
He’s actions surely puzzled you, but you quickly shrugged it off and tried to comfort him, hugging him back at the process.
“When did you come back? Why didn’t you inform me?” you suddenly bursted. As far as you knew, only the eliminated trainees are allowed to come back home. In addition, it hadn’t been clearly stated from the program that he had been eliminated. So, why? Why would her best friend hide this important thing from her?
“Geez! One question at a time!” he laughed, still hugging you. “I like hugging you like this~~” he sighed, almost feeling contented.
As much as you love him being a cutie, you shouldn’t at this moment. You weren’t having any of this uwu, when you clearly know he was just trying to change the topic.
“Dongmyeong!”
Dongmyeong was acting like his usual self again. However, that smile quickly dropped when he saw his best friend’s phone.
“So you’ve watched it?” he now laughed awkwardly as he averted his eyes from you.
You knew this look too well. Regret, sadness, and…guilt. Dongmyeong was never like this, well at least not in front of everyone. So far aside from you and his twin, no one saw him like this, Dongmyeong told her once after he failed the music class he loves so much, due to bribery at his middle school. Of course, You saw him a couple of times like this too, even before they were in middle school. But this time, it’s a little different.
“I’m sorry, I failed you.” He said bitterly as he looked down, seeing his still injured leg. He got it after getting injured recording the music video for the show’s theme song, ‘Nayana’. Even though he only got the rank F for his lack of dancing skills, he tried his best in dancing the theme song. Even though he didn’t get as much screen time as the center, he tried his best in dancing. And the result? He’s injured leg. He danced too much, that he accidentally gained a very bad injury.
“Failed?” you said as you pulled away from his hug and held his chin upwards making him look up your way.
You hated seeing him like this. Blaming himself for everything when he clearly didn’t do anything wrong.
“Hey, listen to me, Myeongie.” You said as he looked at him in the eyes. “It wasn’t your fault, you got eliminated. You did your best in all of the missions given. You were amazing out there.” You continued, finally letting the pride go for your friend. You said the compliments you’d rather die than let him know of.
“Y/N, but I still failed! I failed you, my family…” he trailed as he hugged you as how he hug you earlier. “I failed MAS.” He self-pitied.
“Who cares? Who cares if you failed? Dongmyeong, you almost lost your leg just to chase that stupid dream of yours!” you also started crying.
“Hey! It’s not a stupid dream!” he retorted.
“Not stupid?! You even tried to dance, Dongmyeong! Everybody in class knows you can’t dance, yet you still went there; just to promote MAS!” you yelled that made the lad wide-eyed. “You don’t know how worried I was when you left. How much I wanted you not going there. I didn’t want you to go. F*ck, I didn’t even know how long you were going to be there! But, all for that dream, that dream…” you paused, droplets of tears forming. “If I had known this would happen, I should’ve stopped you…” you now cried, making you surprised. Suddenly, she heard Dongmyeong burst out laughing.
“What? Why?” you asked completely puzzled.
Dongmeong suddenly pulled you closer and hugged you tighter, trying to hide his face. READ: blushing face.
But all of a sudden, he stopped laughing and look sideways, his face still not clear because of the dark surroundings. But thanks to the light the TV radiated, you could make his face clear. His happy face and his ears gleaming red.
“W-what?” you stuttered, suddenly embarrassed of your actions. Dongmyeong once again buried his face on your stomach, this time around, added to your embarrassed.
“S-stop! If your laughing at my belly—ugh!” You blushed. Well, you couldn’t deny it. You certainly have belly fats, but you swear it’s not that big.
“What should I do?” Dongmyeong suddenly said and looked up at you, he’s face now clear red.
“What?” You answered confused, now blushing at how cute Dongmyeong looked.
“My heart’s beating so fast for you, right now.” You confessed as he once again buried his face on your stomach as he pulled you closer into a tight hug.
“Dongmyeong?” You say his name out of confusion. Though you already got a clue on what he meant, but without much knowledge, you couldn’t do anything, but to wish it were true. Because if it is, you’d gladly say you felt the same. Not for the 2 months that he was gone, not the years of being with him, but for the eternity of being with him, as cliché as it may sound.
‘On the other hand, why would he even like me?’ You thought.
“I love you, Y/N. But with what you’re doing right now, I might fall even harder.” Dongmyeong confessed, his face flushed. “Stop it.” He even added as his face became even redder if that’s even possible.
“Prove it.” You were so dumbfounded, you couldn’t even find any words to say. You only muttered the actress’s line that you heard on an advertisement on Dongmyeong’s TV that was left on throughout the conversation.
Though you said those words without thinking, you almost regretted saying it. READ: almost.
Dongmyeong suddenly put his hands behind your neck, moving you closer to him and kissed you.
Because of the great shock, you couldn’t move or do anything. You couldn’t even kiss him back.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…” He quickly apologized when he pulled away from you and you didn’t kiss him back.
“Why are you sorry?” Suddenly, a wave of esteem rushed towards you and started teasing him.
“You don’t love me back, and I kissed you.” He awkwardly answered you, avoiding eye contact as he slowly let go of your waist and kept his hands to himself.
“And what makes you think that?” You said as he stuttered once more.
“U-uh…” he tried to answer but words don’t seem to come out of his mouth.
It was as if he became mute in front of you. As a result, you couldn’t take his cuteness and couldn’t stop teasing him. So, you brought your face close to him, and without any second waiting; kissed him.
~OMAKE~
Exhausted because of all the crying, you couldn’t fight your sleepiness and fell asleep on Dongmyeong’s bed. Though you were now on dreamland, Dongmyeong still couldn’t get a blink of sleep because of the confession that happened a while ago. His gaze on you, full of love as he adjusts your bangs to see a better view of your pretty face.
Unconsciously, Dongmyeong started replaying the events of that night. He couldn’t believe it and it only made his smile get bigger, his cute dimples pretty visible at this point.
“I-I thought you were trying to kill yourself.”
Dongmyeong suddenly remembered what you said a while ago, and it only made him fall even harder.
Flashback (5 Years Ago)
“Y/N, stop that noise this instant!” You heard one of your classmate yell one time they were on cleaning duty.
You didn’t even know what you did. You were only singing—oh right, many people hated your singing.
You smiled to yourrself, trying to forget how hurt you felt at that time. You laughed, not showing how hurt you felt. Or more like you didn’t want to show how embarrassed you were that time.
While laughing it out, you and your classmates suddenly heard a pretty voice at the back. It was pretty visible by their expressions that almost all of them was surprised. It was Dongmyeong, singing soulfully as ever.
“You should sing like Dongmyeong, here.” One classmate laughed.
“Aren’t you two like super friends? Why don’t you learn from him?” another girl laughed.
Now, you were truly embarrassed. You were now being compared with someone who could sing. Like they would do to you and your older brother. And now, you were being compared to her best friend, Dongmyeong?
-
“Hey, why don’t you try singing?”  Dongmyeong said all of a sudden when you guys were going home together after the cleaning duties for the day.
The two of you, after the happenings during 3rd grade, gradually became close even to the point if going home together. It was with Hyungu at first, until he started middle school and was forced to take the bus to attend classes. Nothing like in elementary school where everything is in walking distance.
“W-what is that, all of a sudden?” You said, taken aback by his words.
“Just try it.” He smiled.
“I-I don’t want to.” You said, clearly embarrassed.
“Why not?” He said, pretending to be clueless.
“Are you mocking me?” You said in a deadpan tone. “Myeongie, seriously? You heard what those girls said, right? I’m bad at it.” You continued looking up at him silently cursing at how much he’d grown over a short span of months. Like last time she checked, she was taller than him! She could remember how she bullied Dongmyeong when the new school year started. And now, the guy’s grown inches! ‘Damn puberty!’ you thought.
“And you’re going to believe them?” You said that snapped you back to reality.
“I-I-uh…” You suddenly stuttered.
“I know you want to be an idol.” Dongmyeong suddenly bursted out, making you blush in embarrassment.
“Wh-what—“ You said, words doesn’t seem to form. “H-how?” You tried once more and thankfully said the key words.
“I saw you trying to dance AKB’S choreography.” You said, looking back at her grinning. As for you, your face was now burning hot.
“Wha-that’s baseless…” You tried to reason out.
“And KARA, SNSD, Wonder Girls…” He said confidently, your face getting deep shades of red. “And…should I add 2ne1′s I’m the best?” Dongmyeong continued teasing his best friend.
“Alright, alright! Now, so what?” You yelled in embarrassment.
“I’m saying, if you can’t sing in front of others, I will.” He said, making you stop and look up at him, dumfounded.
“W-what?”
“Hyung wants to form a band, right?” He also stopped.
“Uh-huh?”
“He invited me, months ago about this, but I just declined him.”
“What are you getting at?”
“I’m going to join him, and be famous for you.”
“What do you mean, for me?”
“I’ll be famous…and when that day comes…”
“will you accept my feelings?”
END OF FLASHBACK
Arranging your bangs, Dongmyeong kissed your forehead and looked at you lovingly.
“Idiot, why would I commit suicide, if you’re there. Why would I want to die, when I’m with you? I promise, I promise, I’ll be a star, a singer that you can be proud of calling yours. I promise, I’ll fulfill my promise.” Dongmyeong smiled at you lovingly.
But sudden a phone call interrupt his little admiration for you. It was from Hyungu again. It was Hyungu’s 10th call that evening and Dongmyeong knew fully well what this about. So to confirm things, he answered. No, it wasn’t about you. You had slept a couple of times in his house. This time, it was different.
“Hyung? Yeah, I’m joining The Unit…”

Hello my lovelies! So this is a one shot that I got the idea for a couple months ago, but never really made a priority to write until New Year’s Eve (I can neither confirm nor deny whether there was alcohol involved in the creation of this story haha). This story isn’t at all what I envisioned it to be and I’m not really too happy with the end result, but I knew that if I rewrote it anymore or kept trying to revise it, I would probably never end up posting it hahaha...
I don’t want to go into too much detail up here, or it will ruin some of the fun of the actual story, but I will say that this story is a little different from most of my other writing in a few different ways.
If you want to ruin the surprise and figure out what this story is about BEFORE you read it, you can always skip to the Author’s Notes at the end...I wouldn’t recommend doing that, but I trust you all to make your own decisions...anyways, without further ado…
“Let’s Not Talk About It”
As the next performer of the night walked onto the makeshift stage, everyone in the pub--myself included--cheered loudly to welcome them to the stage.
Maneuvering my way through the various crowds of people gathered in front of the bar, only half-paying attention to where I was going as the performer on stage introduced himself, I was stopped in my tracks when a hand gripped my shoulder unexpectedly.
“Oh! Sorry about that!” the woman who had clearly had too much to drink slurred as she removed her hand from my shoulder after steadying herself.
“It's okay. ‘Scuse me, ma’am,” I replied as I tried to squeeze my way past her on my way back to my table.
Huh, there’s a lot more people at our table today than there usually is…
Shrugging, I pulled out the only empty seat at the table and sat down beside Finn.
“Nice of you to finally join us!” Chop joked as all conversation stopped and everyone’s focus turned towards me.
“Sorry, you know how crazy the pub can be on Open Mic Night,” I chuckled.
“I went ahead and ordered your usual drink for you!” Finn said with a smile as he slid the glass in front of me a bit closer.
“Thank you!”
The gang and I sat laughing and drinking while the final performer of the night finished their set and received uproarious applause from everyone in the pub. The “Open Mic Night” held at the pub on the second Wednesday of every month was always one of the most popular nights at the pub and was a long standing tradition since the pub first opened. For the past year, the gang and I have always tried to make it out to the pub for Open Mic Night to support local talent and have a drink, a tradition that I’m proud to say I’ve never broken!
When the last performer cleared the stage, the patrons of the pub immediately returned to their usual activities and the usual music that flowed through the speakers of the pub resumed but it was soon overpowered by the increasing volume of various simultaneous conversations nearby.
“Does someone want to put on some tunes?” Finn asked as he pulled a twenty pence coin from his pocket and held it up in the air between two of his fingers.
“Yeah, of course,”
Reaching for the coin as I stood from my seat to put on music on the jukebox, like I always do, I was surprised to hear another voice speak up from the opposite side of Finn from me.
“Actually, do ya mind if I get this one?” the girl asked as she grabbed the coin from Finn and walked away from the table before I could fully register what just happened.
“Oh, uh, sure…” I mumbled as I sat back down in my chair after standing awkwardly for a few moments too long.
Who is she? And has she been sitting here this entire time?
“Ugh...I wonder which Backstreet Boys or Spice Girls song she’s gonna put on the jukebox”
I reached for my drink and gulped down nearly half of it in one go.
Beside me, Finn chuckled lightly and I flushed with embarrassment at the realization of how loud my comment had been.
“I don’t know...she and I were talking a bit earlier and her taste in music seems pretty alright,” Finn said with a nonchalant shrug as he angled his body towards me.
“Better than yours?” I asked, know exactly what buttons to press to get a rise out of Finn.
“Hah, as that’s even possible!” Finn replied with a surprised laugh.
“Better than mine?”
“Not a chance,” Finn replied with a wink as he lifted his glass to his lips and took a long drink of his lager.
Even as Sabotage by the Beastie Boys--which admittedly would have been the same song I would have selected if I had been the one that walked up to the jukebox--began playing through the speakers of the pub and the latest addition to our table returned to her seat beside Finn, I simply could not wipe the smug smile from my face.
***
Conversation at our table resumed and before long, Chop’s crude humor had everyone crying with laughter as Izzie smacked him and chided him for being so brash. Despite hearing Chop tell the same joke he has been telling anyone that will listen to him for nearly the past month on the opposite side of the table, it was hard not to be aware of the sound of the girl beside Finn giggling and the way that he turned his chair to be seated closer to her as they were talking amongst themselves.
I’m not jealous, really I’m not…
It’s just rude to exclude someone from conversation when they are sitting right next to you, you know?
Chop kept telling his jokes.
Izzie and the girls kept giggling and squealing when he would say something particularly Chop-esque and earn high-fives from the guys included in the conversation.
Finn and the girl beside him kept chatting and their chairs kept getting closer and closer until it they had very nearly separated themselves from the rest of the table and conversation entirely.
And I kept drinking and tearing at the corners of the beermat in front of me that had become soaked through from the condensation on my glass and the various drinks that had been spilled on the table throughout the course of the night.
I had long since finished the last of my drink as well as the two refills Chop had brought over for me in the last hour, but when the girl beside Finn reached over to him and touched his shoulder as the two laughed, I reached for the nearest glass of who-knows-what and gulped that down all at once as well.
“I’m gonna go get another drink,” the girl that had been monopolizing Finn’s attention for nearly the last hour said as she stood from her chair.
She laid her hand on Finn’s shoulder in a not-so-subtle gesture that a less observant person would not think twice of, but I had seen this happen time and time again and I knew better.
“Does anyone else want anything?” She added before looking straight at me and waiting until I silently shook my head before turning her attention towards Finn as she raised her eyebrow in silent question.
“No, I’m fine love, thanks!” Finn said with a wink that caused her to giggle as she walked away from the table and towards the bar.
Ah! Finally…
The tension I didn’t realize I had been holding released almost instantaneously as I breathed a sigh of relief that turned into a scoff at the sight of Finn checking out the gang’s newcomer from where she stood at the bar.
“What was that for?” Finn asked with a chuckle as he returned his chair to its initial position evenly spaced between me and the now vacant chair beside him.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” is what I said, but the beermat that was being torn to bits as I stared down at the small pile on the table that was forming suggested otherwise.
“Aw, come on...Don’t tell me you’re jealous of her…” Finn said as he angled his body closer to me in order to speak quietly without drawing the attention of the rest of the gang.
“‘Course not”
Be casual about it...That way it will seem more convincing and this conversation won’t have to be dragged out much longer.
“Good, because I may be chatting with her right now,” Finn paused for a moment and looked around before moving in closer to me and dropping his voice low enough that I could just barely hear him, “but you’re the one who is coming home with me tonight.”
DON’T BLUSH, DON’T BLUSH, DON’T FUCKING BLUSH!
I refused to look up from the spot I was focusing on in fear that Finn--and everyone else in the surrounding area--would see the blush on my face, but when Finn nudged me with his shoulder, my head reflexively lifted in response.
Which was a huge mistake.
As soon as Finn locked eyes with me, he gave me a wink and his signature crooked grin, and any attempts to hide the bright pink blush from creeping into my cheeks went out the window.
Before I could think of something to say to wipe the knowing, triumphant smirk from Finn’s lips, the girl returned to her seat beside Finn with her drink in-hand.
***
To my pleasant surprise, the new girl joined into the conversation that Chop was having with most of the people at the table and I was only half paying attention to the amount of space remaining between hers and Finn’s chairs.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” Finn asked quietly as he leaned close to my ear to speak to me directly.
“Yeah, I think I’m just getting tired…”
“Do ya wanna leave?”
“No, I don’t want you to leave if you still want to stay...I’m fine to keep hanging out with the gang for a while longer,” I replied with a small smile, but it was clear to both Finn and I that I was only saying that for his benefit.
“It’s no trouble, really…”
“Oi, what are you two whispering about over there?” Chop asked with a mischievous grin as the rest of the people at our table turned towards Finn and me as well to figure out what Chop was talking about.
“Sorry gang, but it’s getting late and I think we’re gonna start heading out now!” Finn replied to no one in particular before standing from his chair and gesturing for me to do the same.
A chorus of “aw okay bye” and similar comments resounded from the rest of the gang that was seated around the table.
“It was nice meeting you...both of you!” the girl beside Finn replied with a small smile as we both nodded and returned the sentiment before walking towards the pub door.
I began walking down the familiar path to Finn’s house that we had followed more times that I could remember, but I soon heard the sound of Finn clearing his throat a short distance away from me.
“Do ya mind if we take the long way back to mine tonight?”
“Uh, no. I don’t mind,” I replied as I turned around and matched my pace to walk alongside Finn.
As we walked in a comfortable silence, the muted sounds of our shoes against the pavement one of the only things that could be heard, it was easy to tell that Finn had something on his mind that he was trying to determine how to bring up in conversation.
“So…” I began with no intention of continuing to help let Finn know that this was his chance to start a conversation.
“So...what did you think of Chloe’s mate?” Finn asked with a slight edge of apprehension in his voice.
“What was her name again? I don’t think we were formally introduced…”
“Oh, right! Her name is Rachel, well technically ‘Rae’...that’s what she goes by anyway...”
“Ah, Rae, I see. She seems...nice...I guess…”
Yeah, that’s good! Keep your response neutral and dismissive so Finn doesn’t press further...
“Yeah, and she really knows her music!”
“Yup...”
“She seems to get along with all of the gang really well, too!”
“Mhmm...”
“Do you think Chloe will be bringing her around the next time we go to the pub?” Finn asked quietly after a few beats of silence had passed between us.
“Uh, maybe...I don’t know…”
“Well I really hope so. I just, well...please promise you won’t laugh at me,”
“Of course I won’t laugh at you, Finn...”
“Thanks...I don’t know why, but I think I really like Rae...I don’t know if she’d be interested or not, but I’m thinking about asking if she wants to grab a drink with me sometime...like just the two of us?”
Finn posed his statement like a question and it took much longer than it should have to realize that Finn was no longer walking and he was currently looking in my direction as I slowed to a halt, waiting on me to give my opinion about asking Rae out.
As soon as the words left Finn’s mouth, it felt like I had been punched in the gut and my heart dropped. I’m not so daft as to pretend that the mutual chemistry and interest between Finn and Rae wasn’t there, but hearing Finn say it out loud was infinitely worse than I had ever anticipated it would be.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Finn was still standing beside me and looking closely at my face to gauge my reaction.
I quickly released the breath that I didn’t realize I had been holding and plastered as genuine-looking of a fake smile as I could muster on my face before responding.
“That’s awesome, Finn! I’m really glad you got on well with her...she seems really...great.”
“Thanks Archie,” Finn replied with a wide grin as he draped an arm over my shoulder and we began walking together while entwined in this awkward embrace, “I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you in my life. You’re more than just a mate to me...you know that, right?”
Finn stopped walking again and I looked over to see that all traces of joking and drunken playfulness were gone and he looked surprisingly sober and serious.
“Of course I know that, Finn,” I replied with a hesitant gulp, “obviously I’m your BEST mate!”
“A best mate? Are you kidding me? I love you like a brother, Arch!” Finn replied with a grin so wide and child-like that it was now easy to see the effects of the numerous drinks he had had throughout the course of the night.
The beginning of Finn’s statement made my heart flutter slightly in a way that I’ve only known Finn to be able to do since we first became friends when we were children; however as soon as the addition of “like a brother” reached my ears, it was nearly impossible to hide the sudden drop of my smile from Finn.
Like a brother…
Finn loves me...like a brother.
Finn removed his arm from my shoulders and began walking ahead, making jokes about how he was going to challenge me to a race back to his house where we had planned for me to spend the weekend with him while his dad was out of town for work.
I saw the distance between where Finn was walking and where I still stood growing further and further, but with my mind focused elsewhere, my feet moved sluggishly on their own accord and Finn went on ahead none the wiser.
***
The remainder of the walk to Finn’s house had been quiet--well, I had been quiet, but Finn had been giving his constructive criticisms for each open mic night performer and telling stories of what had happened before I joined the rest of the gang at the table in the pub.
“Are you sure you’re alright, mate?” Finn asked as he unlocked the front door of his house and stepped aside while holding open the door for me, “You’ve seemed a little bit...off, I suppose, since after you finished your performance at the pub earlier…”
What I wanted to say was just on the tip of my tongue, but as I looked over at the innocence and genuine concern in the eyes of my childhood best mate, I knew that this was neither the time nor the place for this conversation.
“Uh, yeah, I’m fine...I just have something on my mind, I guess,”
“You can tell me anything, you know that, don’t you Archie?” Finn asked with the same seriousness I had seen on his face during our earlier conversation, “I want you to trust me and I swear I won’t judge you…”
“Yes, Finn, of course I know that...but for now, let’s not talk about it...it’s getting late and I could really go for a cuppa!”
“Anything for you, Arch!” Finn replied with a wink as he locked the front door behind us and walked towards his kitchen.
THE END!
@eveerez @i-dream-of-emus @bitchesbecrazy89
A/N: Okay...so, as promised, the plot for this story is basically my reimagining of how the first time Rae is introduced to the gang when Chloe invites her to the pub could have gone differently if her and Finn hit it off right away (this story also assumes that Archie might have at least a tiny crush on his best mate, Finn, but let’s be honest...Finn is glorious so how could anybody NOT love him hahaha)
I recently went back to watch MMFD from the beginning and it brought up a number of different questions that I had never thought about, the show never really goes into detail about, and/or I have never really read any fanfiction about...AND SO THIS LITTLE STORY CAME TO BE!
So as I mentioned, this fic is a little different for me because: 1) I’ve never written a first person story, but I needed to keep the narrator unknown until the point in the story where I wanted their identity revealed to help build some suspense and drama and 2) I’ve never written about a pairing other than Finn/Rae within the MMFD fandom (let alone a “Gay friend low-key pining after straight best mate” pairing). If I’m being honest, I really do not think that 1st person writing is my strong suit and I do not intend to write in 1st person anytime in the future until I have a prompt that requires it or until I’m more comfortable writing in the 1st person, but yeah...this was kind of fun because I was drawing on a little bit of life experiences because I causally fall in love with friends all the time and I don’t think anyone will ever be good enough for my friends because they only deserve the best, so even if Archie isn’t actually in love with Finn, he still loves him enough that he is jealous when Finn starts talking to a pretty girl seemingly out of nowhere.
I hope I didn’t ruffle any feathers with this fanfic (and if I did, well, sorry not sorry to be honest) and I don’t mean to imply that Archie was in fact in love with Finn in the show, this is just more of a “what if?” to get people to think a bit, I suppose.
My rationale when writing this was essentially: what if when Rae is introduced to the gang at the pub she hits it off with Finn and from the get-go he likes her. In the actual show, Archie is not sitting with the gang when Rae is first introduced, so if he were to join the gang and suddenly everyone has taken a liking to Rae, he could be upset. But what could be more upsetting than seeing your best mate (who you may or may not have a little crush on) interacting with some random girl that suddenly joined your group and threw off the balance of your friend group?
With that in mind, I wrote this story to explore how that night could have gone differently if Archie felt a bit jealous when Finn was chatting with Rae, which if you want to apply this to other events in the early episodes of MMFD S1, this could also explain why Archie could have asked Rae out and tried to get along with her, if he was jealous of the attention Finn was giving her or if he knew that Finn liked Rae and Archie wanted to make Finn jealous...I don’t know...it’s just an idea haha
I also thought back to when Archie first came out to the gang in S2 and Finn already knew or had a hunch that he was gay, which made me wonder: how long has Finn known? Once it was revealed in my story that Archie was the first person narrator I tried to drop subtle hints that Finn may already know what’s up or feel that Archie is a little jealous but he wants to be a good and supportive friend, which is proof that Finn is the #1 Best Boy, end of story.
I hope you enjoyed this story! I’m going through a little bit of a writing inspiration dry spell, so if you have any prompts that you’d like me to take on or whatever, feel free to send me an Ask or what have you letting me know! As always, thanks for reading and until next time: Stay awesome, my friends! :)

Hi! I know you wrote the model au a while back and it was so good, and I hope I’m not asking for too much but I’d love a part 2 for it when you have time, where they’re doing like a couples photoshoot or something with Mikael and now they can’t stop kissing each other and everyone’s too endeared to be frustrated with them
ahh this was so much fun to write!!! i took a lil inspiration from the interview magazine shoot and i’m p sure that’s half the reason you even sent me this in the first place so i hope you enjoy it hahaha
Part 1
*
In general, Isak likes modelling. Sure, it can get alittle bit repetitive at times and sometimes standing in the same few genericpositions can be kind of tedious but, as a job, it’s a pretty great oneconsidering how well some shoots pay.
Not to mention, he can’t really hate it when it’sreason he found his boyfriend.
He also reallycan’t hate it when he gets to do shoots with said boyfriend.
The photoshoot that had brought him and Even together– the one that will forever be seared into Isak’s memory – had been one of themost popular campaigns the brand had launched in years. Isak doesn’t think theycan credit the massive rise in jeans sales to just him and Even but he’s gonnatake the praise for it anyway.
After that shoot, job offers had come pouring in forboth him and Even alike and Even seemed stupidly proud of the fact they had aBuzzfeed article written about their “natural connection” after the initialpictures were released. (Though that’s nothing compared to Magnus’ glee when heposted a picture of the two of them on Instagram and confirmed to the worldthat they were, in fact, an item.)
Despite the job offers, though, it’s rare that theyever really work together. The world is still heteronormative as fuck soninety-nine percent of the partner shoots Isak does are with girls. He doesn’tcare that much – it’s no different to what he’d been doing before – but hecan’t help feeling a little giddy when he arrives on Mikael’s set today andfinds Even already waiting for him.
As soon as Isak is within touching distance Evenreaches out for him and pulls him in for a hello kiss, humming contentlyagainst his lips and giving Isak a broad smile when he releases him. “Halla.”
And fuck if Isak still doesn’t melt under Even’s gaze– it’s his eyes! They’re too affectionate! “Halla,” Isak replies, mouth curvingup in a grin as he hooks a finger in Even’s belt loop to keep him close.
Mikael looks between the two of them before rollinghis eyes. “Can you save the coy looks and bedroom eyes for the shoot please?”he asks dryly before looking over Isak’s shoulder. “Hi Eskild.”
“Hello Mikael, at least someone acknowledged myexistence,” he says with a pointed – albeit completely lacking in heat – lookin Even’s direction.
“Hi Eskild,” Even drawls, offering him a charming smileas he drapes an arm around Isak’s shoulders.
Mikael shakes his head at them and directs hisinstructions to Eskild. “Dressing room’s already set up and hair and makeup arewaiting. Even could’ve gone in already but he wanted to wait for Isak.”
And then Mikael rolls his eyes for the second time inas many minutes. Maybe he’s been spending too much time with Isak?
“Takk! We’ll be on our way,” Isak says, trying forcheery but the most he manages is flashing a quick grin before he grabs Even’shand and hauls him away. It’s mostly to get them both out of the line of firebut maybe also a little bit so he can kiss Even out of sight.
“They really are waiting for us in hair and makeup,”Even mumbles against his lips a few minutes later where Isak’s got him pressedup against the wall. “They’re probably pissed.”
Isak sighs, pressing one last hard kiss to Even’smouth before releasing him. “Fine, come on. Let’s see if they can do somethingabout your face.”
Even gasps, mock affronted. “Just for that I’mtelling them to shave off your prince curls.”
“You wouldn’t dare,” Isak calls over his shoulder, purposely swaying his hips as he saunters away just so Even will grab onto himand tug him close as soon as he catches up.
“Tease,” Even mutters, pressing a smacking kiss toIsak’s neck before sliding his arm around his waist again.
Something tells Isak it’s gonna be a good shoot.
*
Hair and makeup probably takes far longer than itshould’ve and they both keep getting reprimanded for talking to each other whenthey’ve been asked to remain still but Even keeps making faces at Isak in themirror, Isak can’t help it that he keeps laughing.
Eventually, when they’ve both been primped andprepped, they’re delivered back to Mikael. Mikael grins in approval when hespots them and beckons them over.
“Alright, so here’s a little rundown of today’sshoot,” he says, hopping down from his photographer’s chair and setting hiscamera aside. “I know last time was all about sensuality and creating sexualtension which-“ Mikael stops, clearing his throat and widening his eyesexaggeratedly. “You two clearly had that down.”
Isak rolls his eyes but it’s mostly to hide the facthe can feel himself flushing under the layers of concealer and powder cakinghis face.
“This one’s gonna be a little different though,”Mikael continues. “I feel like we should use the fact you guys are a couple toour advantage. That’s not to say I want you to put your relationship on displaybut I think we can use the intimacy you have with one another to createsomething soft that can still be really powerful, you get me?”
“So you just want us to act how we normally do aroundeach other?” Even clarifies.
“Pretty much,” Mikael shrugs. “I’ll give you generaldirections but mostly I want you to do what feels natural. Touch wherever youfeel you should touch.”
Even waggles his eyebrows at Isak at that and Mikaellets out an exaggerated huff.
“Oh my god just go stand in front of the camera, would you?”
“Got it, boss!” Even says cheerfully, taking Isak’shand and leading him over to the white backdrop.
“Okay, wait. Keep holding hands,” Mikael calls, peeking out from behind his camera to adjust the lens. “Lean back against thewall. Yeah- okay, stand a little further apart so your hands are the centralfocus. Good. Now look into the camera.”
It’s a little unnatural. Mostly because Isak isusually never this far away from Even when they hold hands but Even’s palm iswarm in his and it helps Isak relax his posture.
Mikael spends a few minutes snapping pictures, changing the angle, getting them to look in different directions, but when hefinally speaks again Isak breathes a sigh of relief. “Alright. Change it up.Move closer. Whatever feels right.”
Mikael’s hardly finished speaking before Even tugs onIsak’s hand, reeling him in and pecking him on the lips.
“Even!” Mikael chastises.
“You said do what feels right!” Even argues back, smirking at Isak and touching his thumb to Isak’s chin.
“Stop antagonising him,” Isak says, huffing a laughand leaning one shoulder against the wall, angling himself closer to Even andcurling his fingers in the fabric of his shirt.
This shoot is for a different clothing line so they’reactually fully dressed this time. Isak can’t help mourning the time they wereshirtless if he’s being honest.
“That’s good, Isak!” Mikael calls. “Tilt your head upa little for me.”
And that’s possibly the worst suggestion Mikael couldhave made because as soon as Isak lifts his chin he knows what’s about tohappen. Isak tilting his head is, and always has been, his universal sign forasking for kisses – he’s honestly surprised Mikael doesn’t know that by now. Soas soon as he and Even lock gazes they barely last thirty seconds before Even’swetting his lips and Isak’s eyelids are drooping and they’re closing thedistance between them with a lazy slide of lips.
“Guys,” Mikael says, deadpan this time and lookingterribly exasperated when Isak chances a glance at him.
“We’ll stop!” Isak promises.
Mikael looks like he doesn’t trust him as far as hecan throw him but elects to continue regardless.
“Okay just- alright, lean your foreheads against eachother but don’t fucking kiss!”
“Now you’re just teasing us, Mik,” Even retorts butobediently presses his forehead against Isak’s.
The tips of their noses are touching and Even isstaring at him so intensely Isak has to physically swallow down the desire tokiss him.
“You’re so fucking beautiful,” Even murmurs, so quiethis lips barely move, and Isak lets out a groan, briefly squeezing his eyes shutto try and clear his head.
“Stop making me want to kiss you.”
“You always want to kiss me.”
And well, he’s got him there.
After an agonising minute or two, Mikael finallytells them to take a break for a second while he consults with the assistant photographer.
As soon as he does Isak drops his head onto Even’sshoulder and lets out a breath as Even’s arms come up around him. It’s only thesound of a camera shutter going off that makes them pull apart a second later.
“That looked really cute,” Mikael says sheepishlywhen he realises he’s been caught.
They cycle through a few more poses and manage tosneak in three more kisses before they’re instructed to change outfits and whenthey come back out Mikael immediately directs them to sit on the floor.
Their legs overlap of their own accord before Mikaelgives them instructions and Isak doesn’t miss the smirk on his face when heopens his mouth to speak. “Alright, Even can you put your hand over Isak’s kneeand put your head on his shoulder?”
It’s a comfortable position and they both settle intoit immediately. Isak can’t help pressing a quick kiss to the top of Even’s headbut Mikael doesn’t even bother admonishing him for it this time. He just keepsclicking away on his camera.
It’s about ten minutes later when it really all goesto hell.
They’re standing up again and after Mikael directsIsak to stare straight into the camera he asks Even to kiss Isak’s cheek.Which, really, what did he expect would happen?
Because Even does kiss Isak’s cheek. But then hekisses it again. And again. And again until Isak can’t maintain his seriousexpression anymore and breaks into a smile, eyes crinkling at the corners as alaugh bubbles out of him.
And that’s all the incentive Even needs before he’s hugginghis arms around Isak’s middle and kissing any other part of Isak’s face he canreach. Isak gives up on trying to be professional and lets himself laugh, shouldersscrunching up as Even’s kisses tickle his jawline.
“Oh my fucking- you know, what? Whatever! Keepkissing,” Mikael says, sounding so far beyond done but also the teeniest bitfond – he’s their biggest fan, really.
Even follows Mikael’s instructions like a man on amission, finally spinning Isak so can slot their lips together. Isak gigglesinto his mouth, hands lifting up to curl into Even’s hair.
“Mikael’s never gonna wanna work with us again,” hesays when Even tries to kiss the corner of his mouth.
“He’ll live,” Even replies carelessly, eyes twinklingwhen he meets Isak’s gaze right before their smiles press together once again.
Isak lets himself gets lost in kissing Even then. Theshoot and the cameras and all the people watching fade away until all Isak canfeel is Even’s hands on him and the tingle in his lips. It doesn’t matter howmany months it’s been since they first got together, Even’s lips will neverstop lighting a fire inside Isak. Even in their familiarity, they burn.
It takes about fifteen minutes for them to realiseMikael has given up on them and the room has been deserted.
After a moment’s deliberation they decide to just takeMikael’s advice and keep kissing.

What should I do
This came out of me wondering how Zarc felt post canon. I guess a companion piece to I’m Sorry.
Also merry Zarcmas.
Yuzu opened her eyes and to her shock she found herself in a silent white void, floating aimlessly. It had been a few months since she had returned to existence after Yuya’s duel with Reiji and since then every day had been ... well crowded. While Serena, Rin and Ruri tried to be as quiet as possible, having three people in her head hardly allowed for peace and quiet. But in this void she couldn’t hear any of their voices, which unnerved her. As she continued to float a man started to come into focus, she felt her stomach twist into a knot as she saw his green and silver hair. Yuzu looked through her pockets for her duel disk as Zarc got closer, after minutes of searching she gave up looking as Zarc sat right in front of her. She instead raised her fists to defend herself in case he did something while he gave a mild smile when he saw her.
“What are you doing?” Zarc said with an amused tone.
“Defending myself in case you do something.” Yuzu calmly replied as Zarc’s smile grew a bit.
“I would say I’m offended but you really have every right to be nervous.” Zarc said as his amused smile turned into a sad one, shocking Yuzu.
While Yuzu had heard from Yuya and Reiji that Zarc had given up on destroying reality, she had trouble believing it. Especially since the last time she saw him, he had taken over Yuya’s body, turning it into a draconian monster and was obsessed with killing everyone. But the more she looked at Zarc, the less she saw the devil that she had faced before and more someone who was just lost. And despite her caution, Yuzu just couldn’t leave someone like that alone even if he was the cause of their troubles.
“Zarc .... where are we?” Yuzu carefully asked as she tried to float away from him as much as possible but he could still hear her.
“In your dreams.” Zarc answered as he continued to stare down.
“Dreams? Is this even real?” Yuzu asked if she wondered what she ate.
“Huh?” Zarc said as he lifted his head, startled. “Oh!  Wait, no, while we are in your dreams, our meeting is undeniably real. While I don’t have the full extent of my powers as the Supreme King Dragon, I can still visit people’s dreams when I want.”
“Visit? Have you used this power before ..” Yuzu tensed as she felt her fists tighten.
Zarc started to smile again once he heard her. “Don’t worry, this is the first time I’ve used this power. I haven’t used this to torment Yuya.”
Yuzu gave a sigh of relief as Zarc start to laugh. “You really love him don’t you?”
Yuzu turned to face Zarc as her eyes were wide open. “What are you talking about?”
“Well I mean the very first thing that popped into your mind when I told you about this power was if Yuya was safe.” Zarc said as he gave a mischievous smile.
“I JUST DON’T WANT YOU TO MESS WITH MY BEST FRIEND!!!” Yuzu screamed with all her might as Zarc’s hair moved a bit from her shouts.
“Yuya’s a lucky guy either way.” Zarc said as he gave a sad smile as Yuzu’s eyes widened in shock. The more she saw Zarc’s smile, the more nostalgic it seemed as she remembered the countless times Yuya had given a similar smile when he tried to pretend things were fine when they obviously weren’t.
Yuzu shuffled awkwardly as she couldn’t find the words to say. After a few minutes of silence, she killed the silence with a question. “Zarc ...... why did you decide to visit me?”
This time Zarc shuffled awkwardly as he kept silent before finally speaking. “I want you to tell me about Yuya.”
“what?” Yuzu asked.
“It’s hard to explain.” Zarc said embarrassed as he scratched his head.
“We have all night. Try.” Yuzu stated as she starred down Zarc.
Zarc sighed. “My dream is ... was to have a duel where the audience, my opponent and even our monsters ... everyone would enjoy. A duel that would make them all smile from the bottom of their hearts ....” Zarc said as his voiced started to trail off. “But we all know how that ended up.” Zarc finished as he gave a cheerful smile. Too cheerful. “But Yuya ... he was able to do it. And I ...”
“You want to know why ... don’t you?” Yuzu finished Zarc’s sentence with sympathy in her voice.
“Bingo.”
“But why me?” Yuzu asked which confused Zarc. “Why didn’t you just ask Yuya?” Yuzu finished.
Zarc gave a smile. “Yuya probably doesn’t fully know why he succeed when I failed. But you would, you’re the person that understands him most.”
Yuzu felt her face heat up once she heard his words. “what are you ...”
“while teasing you about Yuya would be fun, that will have to wait.” Zarc said with a smug smile.
“HAHAHA“ Yuzu sarcastically said. She then took a deep breath to calm herself before she answered. ”What do you want to know then.”
“Ray said that Yuya was my desire to make people smile given form. Does that mean ... Does that mean Yuya was always kind, was he always pure?” Zarc asked with urgency in his voice that Yuzu could guess why.
“If you’re asking if Yuya was always happy-go-lucky. The answer is sadly no.” Yuzu sadly stated as the memories flowed back. “After Yusho disappeared, Yuya ... was rarely happy. He really missed Yusho while everyone called Yusho a coward or insulted him, calling him a son of a coward. Yuya pretended to be fine, always smiling, always laughing ... But it was obvious that he was always crying inside.”
“This happened for three years?” Zarc asked, horrified.
Yuzu sadly nodded her head in response.
Zarc’s expression worsened before he shook his head. “What about rage? Yuya never felt mad RIGHT?!” Zarc asked with a shocking intensity that scared Yuzu a bit.
“Yuya got mad plenty.” Yuzu calmly said as she felt her frustration rising.
“no but ..”
“You of all people should know this! It was because Yuya could get mad that you could take over his body!” Yuzu yelled as Zarc starred at her, eyes widened.
“If people were hurt, if people mocked him, if people who were important to him were in danger. Yuya would and did get mad. Yuya wasn’t perfect, he wasn’t an angel. He was just a person that wanted to make everyone happy. So please stop trying to simplify him as one!” Yuzu yelled as she defended Yuya.
“Then why?” Zarc said before he clenched his jaw shut.
“What?”
“WHY DID HE SUCCEED THEN?!” Zarc roared. “How did Yuya succeed when I failed?! What did I do wrong? What did he do right?! If Yuya wasn’t a saint, then how could he keep fighting despite the pain, and failure when I cracked. Does that mean that if I kept going. I could have succeeded.” Zarc monologued as he buried his face in his hands.
Yuzu stared in shocked at Zarc. She stared as the Demon Duelists, the man that had stolen Yuya’s body, the man that nearly destroyed all of reality seemed to shrink into a little boy. Unable to say a thing, Yuzu continued to watch as Zarc remained silent.
“I ... I don’t hate Yuya for his success.” Zarc struggle to say behind his hands which caught Yuzu’s attention. “I really don’t hate Yuya. I’m actually proud and happy that Yuya succeed, that he can make everyone happy with his dueling. ..... But the more I think about his success, I can’t help but feel this pain in my chest at my failure. ..... I can’t help but wonder if I did something wrong and ... that hurts.”
“Zarc ... “Yuzu said full of sympathy.  “but would you feel better if you learned that you could have never succeed. That your dream could only be done by a saint, that you were doomed to failure?” Yuzu asked.
“Yes! ... no. ... I don’t .... I don’t know!” Zarc yelled as he threw his hands to the side.
“Zarc .....” Yuzu said fully of worry as she started to reach out for him.
“I know that this is all  .. pointless.” Zarc said as felt his nails digging into his palms. “This visit, these questions! It’s all just self-satisfaction. Nothing I do matters anymore. Even if I learn why I failed, how is that going to change past. I still went mad and tried to kill everyone.” Zarc gave a small smile before he did air quotes as he said “tried” again. “I succeed. Ray might have stopped me but in the end, my rampage caused the end of the original dimension and everyone that lived there.”
“Leo survived.” Yuzu said hopefully.
Zarc’s face twisted into a scowl. “Don’t kick me when I’m down, Yuzu.”
“Sorry., I wasn’t thinking.” Yuzu apologized as she nervously scratched her face.
“The people that I wanted to entertain and laugh with .... By my own hands, I made their lives a living hell filled with fear and tears before I erased them from existence.” Zarc finished as his head fell.
“Zarc ...” Yuzu said as he touched his shoulder.
“The worse part of it is I can never make up for it. I can’t try again, that would mean stealing Reira’s body. But is just living my life knowing that I fucked up so badly that I became the exact opposite of what I wanted enough? Is that a fit punishment?! I erased millions from existence and my punishment is just guilt? How is that FAIR?!!!!” Zarc screamed as he stood up for the first time as Yuzu floated backwards. “What should I do?” Zarc said as tears started to fall.
As Yuzu silently stared at Zarc, she felt a slight pressure on her shoulder. She quickly turned her head as she saw a woman in her early twenties or late teens standing next to her. She had reddish hair styled in two huge pigtails at her sides and purple eyes. The more Yuzu looked at this woman, the more the woman’s face looked familiar, it was her face just older. Yuzu’s eyes widen as she realized she was starring at Ray. Ray smiled at Yuzu as if she could read her mind before she started walking towards Zarc.
“Zarc .... you don’t have to torment yourself.” Ray said with a soft tone.
Zarc immediately turned to Ray as his eyes widened in shock. “How did you ...?” He asked in confusion.
“I’m pretty sure I can do anything you can do.” Ray said with a small smile which made Zarc chuckle.
“Probably. You did kick my ass twice.” Zarc replied with his own small smile.
“Zarc, I heard everything. You don’t have to keep torment yourself.”
“Why not? Because of me, an entire dimension is gone.” Zarc somberly stated as he clenched his fist in regret.
“It wasn’t entirely your fault. You didn’t split the dimensions into four. I did.” Ray countered.
“That was to stop me.” Zarc shook his head in response.
“No matter my intentions, I still caused the Original Dimension to split into Standard, Fusion, Synchro and Xyz. This isn’t your fault alone.” Ray said softly.
“It was my rampage that start it. All because I fell to peer pressure.” Zarc said bitterly.
Ray gave a small smile. “And because of my desire for my dad to live. He almost restarted the apocalypse.”
Zarc and Yuzu looked in shock at Ray’s word.
“What do you mean?” Yuzu asked confused.
“When reality was being split, I kept my dad alive. Instead of trying to saving reality or as many people as possible ... I just kept my dad safe. And because of that .... He started the Arc Area Project that nearly destroyed all of reality.” Ray answered with a bitter-sweet tone.
“That’s not on you. You didn’t mean for it.” Zarc countered. “I wanted to kill everyone! You wanted to save them!”
“Does it matter? I still fucked up.” Ray finished which left Zarc speechless. “But I don’t think everything that happened was all bad though.” Ray continued as she patted Yuzu’s head which left Yuzu speechless.
“What are you....?” Zarc asked.
“I won’t deny what you did was wrong but in the end all of reality is now in peace. The duel spirits included.” Ray looked at Yuzu as her face softened.
“That was never my intention! I tried to kill everyone!” Zarc argued.
“Because we drove you to that.” Ray again countered. “Zarc, you snapped because our dimension, because we wanted more blood-lust. You becoming Supreme King Dragon, the devil, isn’t all your fault. Like my baby brother said, It’s all of humanity’s fault that you were created.”
Zarc lowered his head so his eyes couldn’t be seen. “Why?” he mumbled.
“Huh?” Ray asked.
“Why are you being so nice to me. I ... I stole everything from you. Your future, your family, ... your life.” Zarc asked as he balled his hands at his side into fists.
Ray give a small smile as she stared at Yuzu. “Because I wondered if I messed up too.”
Zarc lifted his head to look at Ray in confusion.
“Zarc ... before you had your accident, before you had your fame, I was a huge fan of yours. I wanted to duel you but after your accident and your change in dueling style ... I avoided you. I avoided you when you most needed help. I thought I couldn’t do anything but .... after seeing what Yuzu did .. I couldn’t help but wonder if I had tried to reach you, if I didn’t leave you alone ... maybe you would never have become the Supreme King Dragon. Maybe things would be different because no matter who you are or become, you always wanted to make everyone happy. And I ignored it till it was too late.” Ray said with regret.
“What should I do then?” Zarc asked.
“Wait.”
“Huh?”
“Zarc, while humanity is doing fine now. That doesn’t mean it’ll always be like this. When humanity starts to take the wrong path, show them the errors of their way,” Ray said with a smile. Ray then paused as she mulled something over and added "PEACEFULLY!” forcefully at the end which made Zarc laugh.
“So I’m just going to wait inside of Reira in the odd chance that humanity fucks up again as I review my mistakes?” Zarc said with a sarcastic tone.
“Yep.” Ray instantly said.
“But that’s pretty boring” Zarc said with a fake whiny tone.
“You’re the one that wanted punishment.” Ray said as she raised an eyebrow.
“Hahhahaha. That is true. I guess this is fitting enough.” Zarc said with a smile, a genuine smile that made Yuzu smile too. “Yuzu, thanks for listening to me bitch and moan.” Zarc said as he focused on Yuzu.
“No problem. Just don’t make a habit of it.” Yuzu said with a smile.
“At least once more. I still have to tease you over Yuya.” Zarc said with a cheeky smile.
“DON’T YOU DARE!” Yuzu roared which made Zarc and Ray laugh.
“But seriously .... Look after him will you?” Zarc said a serious tone which shocked Yuzu to silence. Unable to say anything, she simply nodded as Zarc smiled in return.
Zarc then looked at Ray once more. “Thank you, Ray. As odd as this is. I’m glad you’re my archenemy. Couldn’t have asked for a hotter one.” Zarc said with a big smile as he disappeared before Ray, with a face as red as her hair, tried to yell at him.
Yuzu felt a soft palm on her head as she realized that Ray had again patted her head.
“Thank you for talking to him, Yuzu.”
Yuzu shook her head. “No I didn’t help much. But I’m glad that he’s at peace. I think he deserves it.”
Ray smiled. “I think so too.”

Undeniably Important Chapter 8: Logan’s Notepad
Hey everyone! Got some exams out of the way. I’m doing alright, but glad to be done with the brunt of it all. SUPER stoked for new Sander’s Sides video, but Thought I might write while I’m waiting. Part 3 of Surgery should be coming out within two days. And then After all the prewritten chapters of UI (Name curteous of @remmythepegasis) have been posted on tumblr, I’ll start continuing on this fanfic. Love you guys and I hope you enjoy! Btw, this is a HUGE chapter and might take a little over 10 minutes to read. Lol.
Hint: Time is important in this story...
Chapter 1 – Chapter 2 – Chapter 3 – Chapter 4 – Chapter 5 – Chapter 6 -- Chapter 7
"Well, theres not much to tell." Princey looked down at the ground with all the eyes on him. "We were, acting civilized for the first three minutes. We both had different ideas so we didn't really fight over clothing. That is, until we grabbed a hold of that grey shirt." Roman motioned upstairs. "It was an accident on Anxiety's part, *cough* I beg to differ *cough* but it was unintentionally tossed on top of your tall dresser Thomas."
Thomas nodded letting him know he was still listening.
"I climbed up the dresser to grab it, but the dresser couldn't stand upright with me holding onto the side of it. Thus, I fell backwards. If Anxiety hadn't...saved me. I might have been squashed."
Gasps were heard in the room, mainly from Patton.
"Anxiety you saved Roman!? I'm so proud of you kiddo!" Patton had finished his potatoes and there were literal stars in his eyes from pride.
"Ugh." Anxiety rolled his eyes. "Look, I only pulled him out of harms way."
"Another reason deduced that you are more than just Anxiety." Logan looked Anxiety's way who only avoided eye contact with the Logical trait.
"Well. I'm so glad that the Outfit War went mostly okay. It's alright Roman. I'm sure Anxiety won't make you wear anything too embarassing. Right Anxiety?" Thomas gritted the last question through his teeth.
"Psh. We'll see. He shouldn't be concerned, remember? I do have fashion." Anxiety smiled victoriously.
"That's still worrying." Roman growled.
"Now Anxiety, don't go choosing an outfit thats inappropriate." Patton advised. "Make sure all privates are CLOTHESed off."
"Oh my god Patton! Pffff!!"
"Patton your not helping my nervousness!"
All Logan did was sigh.
"Hahaha!! Alright you guys. Always a pleasure to talk with myself. Joan and the others are coming to pick me up at 4:30 pm. What time is it now?"
Logan checked the stopwatch. "11:16 am."
"Great! We all got some time to kill. I guess-"
"Oh wait!" Logan interjected. "This is yours." Logic held up the stopwatch so Princey could see it.
"Hm? What? Oh yes!" Logan's interjection startled Princey from his humbling daydream and he caught the stopwatch in mid air as the Logical trait passed it to him. Roman snapped and the stopwatch dematerialized in his hands.
"Oh and don't forget the coat rack, tape, and sharpie I brought up." Logan reminded him.
Roman irritatedly glared at Logan and snapped. A small light illuminated from Thomas's room, confirming the leave of the items used for the Outfit war. "Your welcome." Prince slightly sneered at Logic.
Thomas looked at the other traits. "Ca-can I talk now? Because I'm really tired of people cutting me off." He glanced at Logan who looked at the ground guiltily. The other traits looked at each other and didn't interject. "I can? Great! Again thank you and I really have nothing else for you guys. So, I guess be ready by 5:00 or however you guys come with me to dinner. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this."
"Do not fret over it too much, Thomas." Roman assumed a fanciful pose. "It's nothing for you to be concerned about, but I must go, because I need to remove all my clothes from my living quarters and dump them in Anxiety's room. So...toodles." He wasn't very enthusiastic about this at all and began to sink down.
"Wait Princey, I'm coming too. To make sure you don't hide anything." Anxiety began to sink down with Roman.
"Hide anything?! Are you suggesting that I would cheat?"
"No, but I am going to help carry your clothes so you don't 'accidently' cheat."
"Excuse me count dracula! But I am a knight and and a noble and I always play fair!"
"Sure you do. Thats what you said when you snuck $10,000 behind my back the last time we played Monopoly."
"Okay! Okay. You're right. Ugh, can I at least keep my underwear in my room?
"What would happen if I said no?"
"Oh come on!!"
"I'm just kidding...Sorta."
Their banter faded as they sunk out of Thomas's apartment.
"Well, this was fun! I just hope Anxiety doesn't do anything too horrible to Roman. Anyways I'll see you all later. Oh, Logan you might want to check your desk. Bye kiddos!"
"Bye Patton!" Thomas waved to him.
"Desk?" Logan was confused for a second. Then it hit him. "Oh no..." His gaze shifted to the right at the bottom of the banister. His notepad was no longer there. He reached his hand over and felt around the area where it was. No luck. Then he checked his pockets. No luck there either. His first deduction was that Patton had took it. At this thought, the shade of white Logan's face went was almost equal to that of Anxiety's foundation.
"You alright Logan?" Thomas worriedly asked.
"Ahem. Yes Thomas I am quite alright. Well its time for me to go. I will see you tonight. Byeeeee!" Logan tried to regain his composure as he left in a hurry.
"Goodbye?" Thomas was genuinely confused.
As soon as Logan materialized in the mind palace he ran to his room and closed the door behind him. He was going to scower his desk for his missing item when he noticed it was cleaner than he had left it this morning. Someone had definitely been in his room.
On top of his now clean desk was a card with Patton's hand writing on it and series of small giftboxes. To the right of these was his notepad he was missing. Logan sighed in relief seeing that he was now in possession of it again. But, it still troubled him to think that Patton might have looked through it. He pushed the thought aside and returned his attention to Patton's series of gifts.
Logan couldn't help but give a small smile at the elder aspect's generosity. Even when Patton knew Logan could never actually understand or give something back in return, he was still willing to give. It was one of the few times that Logan wondered what it would be like to have emotions. If he did have feelings, would he be able to give something heartfelt back that meant something to Patton? These series of thoughts were troubling his mind, so he began to open Morality's presents to further avoid more absurd assumptions from entering his brain.
3 minutes earlier...
"...Oh come on!!"
"I'm just kidding...sorta."
Roman and Anxiety teleported inside of the mind palace. Princey faced his room with a reluctant look on his face. "Well. If you can believe it I'm actually glad you came to help me, because we have a lot of loads to carry."
"How much clothes do you have?"
"All the clothes. I have all the clothes."
"Obviously."
"Alright well you better help me. I'll just place it outside your room and then you can figure out what to do with it from there." Roman half strutted half sulked to his room from the hallway leaving Anxiety only a small amount of time to put his plan into action.
If there was another thing besides his name that Anxiety had been keeping from his fellow sides for a long time, it would be his area of control over the mindscape. One of these areas is duplication, where he takes one item and duplicates it making two of that same item.  Anxiety had not had enough practice with this power to tell if there was a difference between the real and the fake, but he figured it wouldnt matter much because no one would be suspicious. Or that Logan wouldn't be supicious, to be exact.
Anxiety quickly took out Logan's notepad, made sure no one was looking, and duplicated it by using both hands to pull the copy out of the original. Both notepads were still the same size, had the same marks, and were wrinkled in the same places.
"Perfect..." Anxiety muttered under his breath as he put the real notepad back into his pocket. He turned around to go put the copy in Logan's room when he was met face to face with Patton who had his hands full of presents and a card. Both traits were equally surprised to see each other and the states that they were in.
"Jason Toddler! Are you coming?" Roman called out from his room.
"Yeah. I'll be right there. Patton wanted to say something."
Roman audibly sighed. "Okay."
Both Morality and Anxiety broke eye contact and ran into Logan's unlocked room. Their next conversation was full of whisper shouts.
"Patton what are you doing here!?"
"I could ask you the same thing kiddo."
"I'm returning Logan's notepad. He dropped it."
"Thats funny considering the fact, that you were just holding two notepads in your hand. Did you steal it from Logan? Thats not very nice."
"Patton! I-er-ugh fine! I did, but don't tell anyone else about this, especially Logan."
"But, Anxiety its not right. How would you like it if somebody took something of yours?"
"Look. Here it is!" Anxiety winced slightly as he held up the fake notepad. He hated that he was lying to Patton, but he had already gone great lengths to take it out of Logan's possession. He couldn't stop now. "I'm just putting it back." Anxiety set the notepad on the far right of Logan's desk confirming his words.
"But what about the-" Whoosh. Logan had just materialized in the mind palace cutting Morality short. The increasing thumps of footsteps confirmed Logan's approach. The two intruding aspects shot each other panicked looks as Anxiety teleported out of Logan's room and back into the hallway, leaving Morality to arrange his presents on his own and escape in the nick of time.
Anxiety and Morality stood out in the hallway as naturally as possible as Logan ran into his room and shut the door.
Anxiety sighed and looked Morality. "Don't tell anyone about this." He glared sternly and walked off towards Roman's room, but stopped suddenly. "Please. Please don't tell anyone."
Morality sighed sadly. "Okay."
Anxiety kept walking. "Coming Princey."
"Finally! Here's my clothes since you were so keen on making sure I didn't cheat." All of Roman's clothes began flying from outside of his room and bouncing off Anxiety's room door. Had Morality been in a better mood, he might have laughed. He tried to focus on what Logan's reactions to his presents might be as he tried to get his mind off of his edgy son. His thoughts weren't enough.
2:15 pm.
Anxiety had been in the comfort of his room for a whole hour without getting interrupted. He was changing and making himself and his makeup look more presentable especially after everything he had been through today. This included the Outfit War and moving all of Princey's clothing to his room. Speaking of clothes, the pile stacked almost as tall as the ceiling itself. And all the colors just seemed out of place in the dimly lit, dark room. They almost hurt Anxiety's eyes just to look at them.
After he was finished with getting ready, he plopped on his bed and scrolled through tumblr for the umpteenth time. He put his free hand in his pocket lazily when he felt something rectangular. Logan's notepad! He had completely forgotten about it. With his curiosity rekindling again, Anxiety put his phone down and pulled out the real version of Logan's notebook and began to flip through it.
Most of the pages had been taken up, and it seemed as if there were different sections of the notepad set aside for different purposes. The first section held a ton of random facts and trivia. Typical of Logan. The second section was filled with questions that when answered they were scratched out. Anxiety spent some extra time in this section looking for questions pertaining to him. He spotted one.
What is Anxiety's real name?
It wasn't crossed out, thankfully. But no where else in that section could he find a question that pertained to his role in the mind palace so, he moved on.
The third section was full of Tic-Tac-Toe, connect the dots, and other strategic pen games. These were apparently all of Logan's attempts to defeat himself. Anxiety was more freaked out by this than impressed, so, he moved on again.
The fourth section were doodles. Doodles of mostly dogs. Just page after page of dog doodles. So many dog doodles that Anxiety had began to wonder if Patton had stolen it from Logan himself. Anxiety checked Logan's handwriting to clarify and sure enough, Logan was the owner of all these dog doodles, not Patton. He flipped through each page carefully until he got to something that stunned him. It was a doodle of Patton playing with a dog. It wasn't a bad drawing either. It looked just like him.
Anxiety turned the second page. Another doodle of Patton playing with a dog. And a third. And a fourth. Each one better than the last. Until he got to the 17th page. There was a picture of just Patton and it looked so realistic. Anxiety had no idea Logan could draw that good. He was speechless.
He carefully turned the next page to see another page full of doodles, but these doodles were hearts. Anxiety could tell it took Logan a very long time before he was able to draw a heart right, but once he did, he drew them everywhere. The last page of the section was another doodle of Patton, sitting inside a heart with a big smile on his face. This slightly melted Anxiety's dark heart, as it made him think of the Fatherly aspect and how good he had been to all of them.
He turned the page and found himself in the next section...except...it was very repetitive. And humorous.
"The prince is stupid."
"El principe es estupido."
"Prinsen er dum."
"Princeps stultus."
Just the same phrase in a multitude of languages for about six sheets of paper front of back. Anxiety laughed and took a picture of each page on his phone. Maybe he'd use one or two.
The next section was vocab words. They were devised into categories of Learned and Needs Learning. Most of the words on Logan's lists made Anxiety laugh so hard that he was having trouble keeping himself quiet. Just imagining Logan trying to pronounce and use all these slang words drove him into a fit of giggles. He finally decided to move onto the final section of the notepad: THEORIES.
This is what Anxiety was initially aiming for. He began to flip through the pages looking for what exactly Logic thought about him. Let's just say...Anxiety got more than he bargained for.

Favourite Scenes in Skip Beat!
huhu first time to post and I am trying my best to blog and sorry also for the grammar hehe..*
Stage 1:
When Kyoko finally realize that Shotaro is using her, she plans to take a revenge by entering LME showbiz company and be a top actress. (REVENGE IS SWEET but NOT FOR TSURUGA REN...)
Stage 2:
Sawara-san finally accepted Kyoko to join LME, even though she has 3 days left until the audition.
Stage 3:
The results are out... and too bad she didn’t pass the audition. When she met up with Sawara-san and asked why didn't she passed the audition. The reason is that she lack the feeling of "love".
Stage 4:
(OMG, this scene hurts me so much I feel sad for Kyoko... huhu) When Kyoko didn’t pass the audition, she works at the gas station and by coincidence she met Sho because his van ran out of gas (HAHA!). Kyoko was sure that their eyes met but she asked “You don’t recognize me?” he replied “I’m sorry...I can’t remember all of my fans’ faces” (he thought that she is another fan of his).
Stage 5:
Sho and Ren were in the same building because they have a meeting to attend to. When they coincidentally met each other, Sho kick something purposely to block Ren, (actually Sho is picking a fight with Ren...HAHAHA!) but Ren coolly understand him, and told him “to clean up the trash that he made”. (REN IS SO COOL! I FELL IN LOVE!!!)
Stage 6:
Cute but funny scene: Ren carried Kyoko all the way up to the venue when her ankle was sprained.
Kyoko challenged Ruriko-chan by acting a traditional rich japanese girl and the tea ceremony.
Stage 7:
When Tsuruga Ren reach his hand out to Kyoko, she finally realized that she loves acting and wants to be a top actor/actress like Tsuruga Ren.
Stage 8:
The family problem of Maria (Granddaughter of the President of LME), where Maria flashback her story when her mother died and when her father blamed her for letting his wife come home immediately because of her birthday.
Stage 9:
Kyoko agreed to act as the elder sister, but when she started saying her lines Maria began to talk back. (The scripts story for this episode relates to what happened to Maria before).
Stage 10:
Every time Kyoko feels sad or she misses Corn, she looks at the stone that he gave her. The scene where she drop the stone, and when she reached the lower level of the building, she couldn’t find the stone anywhere, but Ren found the stone and asked her if this is her’s.
Finally Ren remembered that she was the little girl that he met before in Kyoto.
Stage 11:
(This scene was so funny) When Kyoko was dressed up as “Bo” or the chicken mascot, she challenged him to play badminton where Sho is weak at that sport, but the good thing is that Sho doesn’t know that Kyoko is in that mascot.
During the commercial break of that variety show, Sho began to think why that chicken has a grudge on him, so to let him find out who is in that mascot he tries to take of the head but Kyoko resisted it, but Sho really want to know who is inside of that chicken mascot. When Sho trying to get the mascot’s head off, they trip and fell down, but on purposely he touched the chest part of Kyoko because he said “I prefer glamorous and sexy women, whether I am pushing them down or vice versa.” and he also said “I thought the actors who wear these stuffed animal costumes were mostly men. I suppose women who put these on must be plain and boring.”
(DAMN! Sho needs a hit but good luck with that she will kill you soon or maybe now.)
Stage 12:
No matter how cold Ren is in real life, the girls can’t help but fall for his charm. It is already past 9pm and Kyoko needs to go home but he saw Ren passing by but she was day dreaming about Ren. Ren is actually a nice guy and she feels relaxed when she talks him but only in Bo’s costume.
After her day dreaming about Ren, Ren was actually looking at her and he smiled (the smile that everyone falls for) but Kyoko pretend that she didn’t see that and walk away but behind her, Ren is actually chasing her. When she was almost near the girls restroom, he stopped her and she freaked out and screamed because maybe he might do something to her but he was only teasing and that made her cry at the end. (awwwww  so cute and funny! >////<)
Stage 13:
This is the first time that Kyoko and Moko-san teamed up together for the commercial audition called “Culalu”. Now they are trying to get the spot and by getting that spot they will mostly improve their acting career.
Stage 14:
When the other group stole their commercial concept for the 2nd round audition, Kyoko had a idea of another concept that is even more emotional, and in result they have won the spot for the commercial.
Kyoko made a first friend already and that is Moko-san.
Stage 15:
My favourite episode that Ren and Kyoko will spend more time together!!! She will be the substitute manager of Ren because Yashiro-san is sick. Now every schedule of Ren she will be there to accompany him.
The President was trying to call Kyoko, but she was too busy with Ren’s schedule. When Ren is driving to his another meeting place for his schedule, that time the President called Kyoko because he has a good news for her. The good news was that the President payed the high school tuition fee and the entrance exam fee for Kyoko so that she can go to High School.
(harthart! >///< I ship them so much!)
Stage 16:
1st fav scene: When Ren fell down on top of Kyoko because of his high fever.
2nd fav scene: Kyoko left the drama shooting venue because she is actually buying some nutritional food and medicine for colds.
3rd fav scene: Kyoko was changing the cooling pad but suddenly Ren woke up because he remembered all of the memories that he had with Kyoko when they were little. Then.....Ren called Kyoko by her first name like he said “Thank You..Kyoko-chan” (AHHHHHHH!!!!!!! SO SWEET!)
4th fav scene: Ren found Kyoko sleeping at his table because she was tired from taking care of Ren and got tired from studying too much, but when Ren woke her up and he smiled....Kyoko had a weird reaction (this scene was so funny seriously.)
Stage 17:
Coming from her school, she went straight to the company and suddenly Ren called her. He congratulate her for debuting her first commercial with Moko-san.
1st fav scene: When Ren complimented Kyoko that she looks good in a school uniform.
2nd fav scene: Ren was about to give Kyoko a 100 points stamp because Ren thought that she did it for his sake but actually she only did it because of her job, and that is why he gave her a -10 points stamp.
 (awwwww...ren it’s okay...hahahahaha)
3rd fav scene: Sawara-san called Kyoko for a moment to say that there is an offer for her and that she gets to participate in the promotional video of Fuwa Sho becuase his agency producer saw her commercial video and wants to hire her.
Stage 18:
Fuwa Sho finally met “The new Kyoko-chan”
1st fav scene: When Kyoko was all ready for her dress up in the promotional video, she went to the set and everyone was surprise that she looked different from her normal self (I call that a hidden beauty...yeah!), even Sho was shock of her beauty.
2nd fav scene: Kyoko and Mimori-chan finally acted together for the music video but when Kyoko is acting Sho can’t stop staring at her and his music is played background and especially his heart is beating so loudly.
3rd fav scene: Finally Sho and Kyoko will be acting together. Although in the first place Kyoko planned something ahead that is by strangling him, but when the camera starts Kyoko strangled him like he cannot breathe anymore and all of the staff are freaking out.
Stage 19:
This is the first time that Kyoko had a trusted friend and that is Moko-san and the reason why she called her because she was asking for help, because she cannot think about anything on how to solve her acting problem with Sho.
1st fav scene: When Kyoko asked advice from her friend, she imagined that Mimori-chan was actually Moko-chan like she began to think that  “I don’t want to lose my best friend because of one guy” and that is when she cried in front of Sho for the first time.
During the shooting, Sho was shock because Kyoko was crying and for some point he was worried about her. Like he wants to ask why are you crying? He began to think that the reason why she was crying is because of her mother.
When Sho was about to fall, the producer told him to close his eyes but he accidentally forgot it because he was concentrating in Kyoko’s crying face. The shoot ended and when the producer asked Kyoko why was she crying, she told her the reason and Sho sighed for relief.
2nd fav scene: Earlier when Kyoko had a problem with the acting she called Ren first but it was only a voicemail. Now, the shooting for the music video has ended and Kyoko changed her normal looking self, Ren called her and asked why she left a voice message that is not finished. Just by hearing his voice Kyoko was happy and the other reason why he called her is because he was worried about her.
When she was about to tell what happened with her work, Sho suddenly snatch her phone and told Ren that she was shooting a music video with me and that made Ren very angry.

Genocide, together: Ch3
In which Sans gets some LOVE and meets a flower he is not friendly to.
@rahafwabas
A-are you still ok with this?
 I dunno, enjoy!
It wasn’t surprising for Sans to find himself outside his and Papyrus’ house, about to walk down to Grillby’s. He had been in the exact position many times whenever the kid had reset. But everything was different now. He wondered vaguely if he actually…
Heh.
He stepped through the snow, footprints imprinting in the ground. Once he reached the lights of Grillby’s he pretended to open the door, then, predictably, Papyrus appeared.
“Sans!”
Sans turned around, and sighed and put on a fake smile, “Sup, bro. How’s it hanging?”
The taller skeleton stood over him, “What’s hanging is that you’re late! Your sentry had been unguarded for 2 minutes now! And the puzzles haven’t been recalibrated yet!”
“It’s no problem, Paps. I think they’re fine just the way they are,” Sans hand put his hands in his pockets.
“No they’re not! I need you at your post! There is not time for lazing around! Undyne… Sans? Brother, are you alright?”
He snapped his head up, “What?”
“Are you ok Sans? You look a bit unwell,” Papyrus said in concern. Sans blinked. He rubbed his arm and chuckled.
“Nah, Paps, I’m just still … bone-tired heheheh…” Sans laughed at his pathetic attempt to lighten the mood.
“By God, Sans—“
“Heheheh, guess you’re still icy about my jokes. Hahaha!”
“SANS!” Papyrus said in irritation.
Sans put up his hands passively, “Ok, ok Papyrus, I’ll stop. I’ll meet you up ahead, ‘K?” Sans then started to walk the other way and Papyrus gave a sigh.
“Time and space shenanigans… Sans will be at the post before I get to mine…” Papyrus looked down to the ground. Sans really did not look good, even if was just a moment. Sans is a person who would hide it behind laughs and jokes.
He really did worry about his brother. But he re-assured himself by telling himself that Sans had a great brother to take care of him and give him all the love and brotherly care Sans wants and needs. After all, he was the Great and Amazing Papyrus! Who wouldn’t want him as a brother?
Feeling a bit better, he strode proudly to beyond Snowdin and through the mass amount of snow and trees.
SLASH! SLASH! KERAP-BANG!!!
Chara breezed through the Ruins, not a monster or ghost was safe from them. It was still exhilarating to see their faces before they crumbled to dust before them. It never got boring. How funny life is, to be like that. How funny death is, to be what it is.
What they didn’t expect was a few differences popping up further and further they went. They called up Toriel, just for fun, and they heard things that was unusual. Chara listen carefully to the words, cocking their head, listening to Toriel’s worries, and unnerved feelings.
She mentions the white puppy, saying that it was hiding in a closet, whimpering. Another, which she did not make clear of was her worries of something terrible will happen very soon and to stay in the room she left them in. The last thing they said was to call if anything was to happen to them.
Chara hanged up. They flipped the hidden switches and smiled. They passed a trembling frog that watched them pick up a toy knife from the ground. It summoned wobbly white flies in pathetic attempt to protect itself, but Chara just slashed the knife and the flies disappeared and the frog fell to the floor, bursting into dust.
Sans played with a ketchup bottle on his table, spinning it in a circle, wondering again if he really did agree with this. To kill everyone. That would mean Grillby, Alphys, Undyne… Papyrus… he gripped the bottle so tight, the cap popped off, leaving a huge mess of tomato paste dripping down and sinking into the wood. Sans noticed the mess and left it alone.
It was then he noticed a monster in the distance, Ice Cap wandering around in circles, looking for someone to admire his hat.
“Heeeelllllloooo????? Anybody around? I got a new hat! Somebody look at my hat! You can look but you can’t touch, but still…”
Sans suddenly felt something swirling violently in his chest, in his soul. He needed something. He needed. He wanted to… something, he couldn’t place it. What was it?... Then, in full realisation that he had felt this before, he had watched the kid kill everyone, even playing with their minds before putting their life out like a candle. His feelings, his anger… his wanting to put every inch of hurt and death on them. He wanted to kill them. But he knew his was technically impossible. With them having the power to reset and reload whenever they wanted.
Right now, it was the feeling of wanting to hurt again, to kill, to turn them into dust. It was there, it was there, but he didn’t know where! The kid. The kid. He was going to be like the kid. The human. Frisk. Chara. The murderer. He was going to kill everyone with them. Everyone. Why did he want that? Why? Was it because he had nothing better to do? Was it because he given up on this world? Hell if he knew.
He stepped out of his station and towards the monster. He was going to kill everyone. With the human.
Ice Cap turned around to see the skeleton in front of them and started to sigh in relief and babble about his new hat.
Everyone.
Ice Cap faltered, seeing the look on Sans face and he started to look scared.
He may as well start with him.
*Sans LOVE had increased!
He watched the monster fall, the dust dampening in the snow and breathed a heavy sigh. The feeling had submerged, but it was still silently begging for more. It wants more to do. Anything but sitting there in that same old chair and look at the branches of trees above or fall asleep.
He walked a bit farther; he found more monsters hanging about. His white eyes flickering around, looking around if there were any additional cameras Alphys could have installed today, but there was no need to worry. Sans kept away from them, he didn’t want to be seen away from his post, let alone be caught impaling a monster with a bone.
He got to kill about four more monsters before he felt he was getting a bit cocky. The last one was a bit of a messy one; he was making a lot of noise and he was pretty sure the camera could pick up sound. Sans was thrown off by this and almost felt a bit guilty of what he was doing, but the barbaric feeling in his chest just got stronger and he finished him off with a large, blue bone in its chest.
He went back to his station and crossed the bridge Papyrus created to “trap” humans. But he made the poles too far apart to stop anybody. The kid shouldn’t be long now. He reached the door and stopped his hand just in time before it knocked. It would be stupid to knock. The old Lady wouldn’t be there. He sighed. He had very vague memories of the very first of the resets. He can just remember meeting her somewhere with Papyrus, Undyne and the rest of them. But it was mostly blurred out. But what he can really remember was this stirring feeling in his chest when he saw her for the first time. It was a nice feeling.
Now that he thought about it. When he was talking through the door with her, that feeling was there too. Sharing jokes. Sharing stories. Sharing laughs. Same warm goodbyes before he had to leave. And the promise. He remembered that quite clearly. How her voice was serious and pleading, to take care of any human that was to pass. He had broke this promise a hundred times over.
He made himself walk away from the door. He had to wait. The human will come. Just give it time. Sans gave a small sigh and he turned around and jumped. There in the snow, was a flower that was certainly not there before.
“Howdy!” The flower said in a high voice, “I’m Flowey! But I don’t have to tell you that, do I Sans?” All of a sudden, the happy voice turned into somewhat of a mocking drawl.
If Sans had eyebrows, they would be raised. This flower. His eyes narrowed and he sent a sharpened bone to impale it, but the flower just wacked it away with a vine.
 “Hey, buddy… H o w  a b o u t w e  d o n ‘ t ?” Flowey said.
Sans tried to skewer the flower again, but found himself hastily dodging an oncoming vine with spikes sharp as knives. It rebounded and wrapped around the surprised skeleton. Angry and the flailing rage in his chest spiralling out of control, he struggled uselessly. He tried to summon a Blaster, or even some measly bone attacks, but nothing happened. After a minute or two, he knew it was useless and he stopped moving.
“Look here Trashbag, I don’t know what Chara had said to you to make you like this, but I don’t like it, although this is highly entertaining. This is quite an interesting route we have here. The human, persuading the pun-loving science guy with a job to Judge those who have to be judged. An interesting concept indeed, it makes me wonder why I didn’t do it before. Probably because it was a stupid idea. But I am not the one who will pay the price for this.”
Sans had nothing to say, and Flowey took the silence as a sign to keep talking.
“Do you know the funniest thing about this is? Have you guessed it yet? That’s right! It’s you.
“You, the one who fought against them so many times, fighting against what you just fallen down on your knees to. And I thought your so weak attachments to this world were funny enough.
“I’ll be watching this from afar Sans. I wonder how this predicament will turn out… Would you really kill everyone with the human? Even your dear baby brother? Or will you revert back to who you once were, watching the human kill everyone? And be the coward you are, just watching it happen?”
Flowey let go of Sans and he plopped down, looking more emotionless than before. But the glowing rage in his chest was quite a sign it was time for Flowey to depart, before the Smiley Trashbag tries to attack again.
He winked at Sans, “Guess I have to find out! See ya real soon, buddy!”
And with that, he sunk into the ground again, leaving Sans quite alone. But the loneliness that was in the still air was not around for long as the door was open and a small head peeped out. Sans turned around. Chara caught up to them.
“Hey there, I’m not late, am I? I was just a bit—hey!” Chara examined Sans and saw that dust was strewn on his clothing (and the fact there were some bones sticking out of the ground made it more obvious), “You cheater! You started without me!” Chara pouted.
Sans smiled, “Hey, kid. Took you long enough.”
Chara huffed, but gave a smile, “Eh, I guess that’s okay, if you left some for me. We have to do this together.”
Sans shrugged, “There’s still monsters about, but all of this is making me kinda hungry, ya keep doing what you want and I’ll catch you at Grillby’s?”
Chara felt their stomach growl at the last word. They were kinda hungry, since the fact they were a bit busy killing everyone to eat… and they do like keeping Toriel’s pie for a special occasion.
“Whatever you want is fine with me, partner,” they started to walk away, when they were a distance away, they shouted, “Oh! And! I want fries! Remember that!”
Sans blipped to his house and changed into a new (and slightly wrinkled) jacket and blipped again straight to Grillby’s with a double order of fries in mind.
