A prequel to the canon. A story of young love, teenage rebellion, and a fledgling angel trying to define himself in the shadow of his father. OR: Why did Lucifer start a revolt in the first place?

Snippet:
“She was wholly, utterly, unavailable to him. To touch her would mean to lose everything—his status, title, maybe even his family. For once he had to control his desire, and it only made him want her more. He watched with desperate agony as she moved under the water. . . He wasn’t even supposed to be in the garden.”

Lucifer (TV) 1.13 AU
When Lucifer was just about to follow Chloe to her confrontation with Malcolm, Maze caught up with Lucifer and wanted to come along to watch his back. He refused, insisted on going alone, and ordered her not to follow. She obeyed, but warned him not to underestimate the human.
Of course, like the idiot devil he is, he ignored her warnings and got himself shot. Needless to say, Maze is not happy about it.
In the aftermath of this mess, they have a confrontation. Maze coldly informs Lucifer that he has forced her to break her vow to protect him, and she will not allow him to do this to her again, and for that reason she is moving out, quitting work at LUX, and the only contact Lucifer will have with her from now on is an e-mail address for emergency use only. She will continue to watch his back and protect him, but from now on it will be on her terms, and her terms only.
Unfortunately for Lucifer, "on Maze's terms" means with brutal efficiency and absolutely no regard for the police cases he and the detective are trying to solve. The first time Maze intervenes, Lucifer and Chloe are about to be killed by their murder suspect and half a dozen of his henchmen. Within a few moments, all of the bad guys are taken out with extreme precision by a sniper who escapes unseen, leaving behind only his rifle. On their next case, they go to confront their suspect only to find that he has apparently committed suicide by hanging himself, after writing a suicide note where he confesses the crime. Lucifer immediately recognizes the somewhat unusual knot the man used to make a noose as Maze's handiwork.
As more and more of their cases conclude with their suspects being murdered, suffering mysterious accidents, or committing suicide, Chloe gets suspicious and Lucifer is forced to contact Maze and try to get her to stop plastering their path with corpses. Her idea of complying with his wishes is to make sure they don't find the corpses, which means that their police cases officially remain unsolved.
Lucifer once again contacts Maze, this time ordering her explicitly to leave their suspects alive and present for the law enforcement to deal with. He is deeply apprehensive of just how Maze will react to that order.
His apprehensions are more than justified. The next time he and Chloe find themselves confronted by their suspected murderer and his two accomplices, the lights go out, the sounds of three necks being broken can be heard, and when the lights go back on, the men are lying on the ground. They are still alive, but paralyzed from the neck down due to the vertebra which were broken with absolute precision.
Of course, Chloe now realizes exactly what - or rather: who - has happened. And she is also certain now that those other mysterious deaths and disappearances had the same cause. Now Lucifer has to deal with his pet human being extremely pissed off, and determined to hold Maze accountable for her actions, and his demon almost certainly just waiting for a chance to make the detective's life hell.

Summary:
The street is empty. There is no human explanation for Lucifer to have moved that quickly. Or for the red of his eyes as he’d argued. Or for any number of the things Lucifer does, except the explanation he’s always given. Every piece of evidence she’s ignored for years suddenly becomes too heavy to deny.
Lucifer is the Devil.

when you met me
This fic exists because @stvrklight linked me this prompt from @luciferprompts and was like "can you imagine??" and it turns out I could. I meant this to be wayy whumpier than it is because I am Soft and weak, and it's more of a H/C vibe instead. Post-season 4.
Rating: Teen Word Count: ~10.5k Pairing(s): Luci/Dan Summary: Nobody seems willing to talk about the fact that Lucifer obviously didn't disappear for three months to go on vacation. Dan really shouldn't be the guy who has to do something about that, but here he is.

Before There Was Light
Rated: G Wordcount: 11,957 One-shot Pairing: Mild Lucifer Morningstar/Chloe Decker
For @luciferprompts : AU where Lucifer turned into a child, with no memories of his rebellion or hell or his time in Los Angeles, possibly leading to Chloe babysitting while Amenadiel and Maze try to find answers and a way to transform him back
This prompt sounded fun and I just went with it. I’ve yet to see a de-aged Lucifer fic. Was going for fluff, kind of got angsty and possibly cracky. I tried. Not sure who submitted, but I hope it’s at least kind of what you had in mind (even if Amenadiel and Maze are more in the background)

Guilty
Tumblr media
She did it. She killed him and sent the Devil back to Hell. She poured the liquid of the vial in the cup of wine, he drank it. He died. She pours it again now. And again. She kills him again now. And again. And again.
[Also in AO3]
Chloe is scared. She's scared, and she tips the liquid into his wine glass and ruins everything. Some part of her wants to stop. Her hand shakes. She knows she'll regret this, she knows it in her bones. Yet she has no control. She tips the liquid into his wine glass. (Again. And again. And again.)
"Oh," she hears from the elevator. She turns - she thought he'd been in the bedroom - and he looks different, sad and broken-
"No, Detective, no. You don't belong here. You don't belong here at all."
“Lucifer,” she manages to say, breathless. “I’m sorry, I-”
“Chloe,” the intensity of his eyes freezes her hand as she is going to pour the liquid in the wine glass, “this isn’t real.”
“I fucked things up, Lucifer,” she has tears in her eyes. “I’m sorry. I’m so so sorry.”
She only hopes he knows she isn’t only referring to the fact that she did send him to Hell. Or that she had lied to him, countless times. That she had used his feelings for her to strike when he was most vulnerable. She had betrayed him.
She realized it too late, and the guilt literally ate her alive.
Chloe blinks, her hand gripping around the skull vial. She knows she has to stop her hand, stop trying to poison Lucifer, stop killing him -
But she pours it. Again.
The other Lucifer approaches her and grabs her shoulders, shaking her.
“Snap out of it, Detective! You shouldn’t be here.”
“But I do,” she bites her lip, looking down at the full vial in her hand. She pours it in the cup of wine. “I do. I do. I killed you. I’m sorry.”
“Detective, don’t be silly!” he smiles despite the desperate look in his eyes. “I’m immortal. You just… shortened my vacation. I will come back, uh, eventually.”
He grimaces, but it is enough to trigger her again. She pours the poison in the cup, looking away from this other Lucifer. Why isn’t he drinking it? Why isn’t he looking at her like his heart broke as he falls down? She - She stomped it down, that day. She felt it. The moment he stopped breathing was the moment she knew she made the wrong decision.
The next only good choice she made was letting that perp shoot her. It didn’t matter. She had already failed everyone important in her life. Trixie didn’t matter, Dan didn’t matter, life didn’t matter.
She was in Hell, and she deserved it.

Anniversary (Lucifer Prompt Fill Ficlet)
@starpanda42 I hope you like this little guy. Your @luciferprompts prompt could certainly support a much longer story!
“Chloe and Lucifer aren't interrupted after their kiss in Quintessential Deckerstar. They start their relationship for real, and things are going well. Years pass - perhaps they even get married. Except Chloe still doesn't know Lucifer is the Devil. And Lucifer isn't aging...”
Anniversary
It was their tenth anniversary. Chloe was getting ready for the night out. She didn’t know where Lucifer had made the dinner reservation, but she knew from past experience that it was unlikely that getting dressed up would be a mistake.
They’d married nearly two years on the dot after they’d started dating, and they’d been some of the happiest, craziest, most wonderful years of her life. But the timing of her anniversary also had her looking back at how close it had come to never being. How close she’d come to marrying a man she didn’t love…a man who turned out to be a monster.
It has been the morning after her first night with Lucifer when her phone had lit up. At least a dozen calls all with the gossip that their lieutenant had been arrested trying to murder one Dr. Amenadiel Canaan. That had led, one thing to another, to the revelation that Marcus Pierce had been the Sinnerman himself. As far as she knew, he was still serving his several consecutive life sentences.
Chloe brushed these thoughts away, as she did every year. All was well that ended well.
Lucifer knocked on the front door like it was a date and they hadn’t lived together for more than a decade. It was a little routine of theirs by this point. A holdover from a time when he’d been trying to figure out courtship. She checked her hair one last time and grabbed her jacket.
When she opened the door, it was like a blast from the past. Over the years, she’d convinced him to dress down a bit day-to-day and that she liked a bit of curl in his hair. But when he dressed up, he still wore a perfectly-tailored suit with perfectly-coifed hair. These occasions brought home to her how little he’d changed over the years. The lucky bastard.
He had the stunned look on his face that he always got when she dressed up. Like he’d never seen something so beautiful. It never failed to make her heart beat fast. And, in this case, forget the increasing number of grays her dye covered over. Even with her fiftieth birthday just on the horizon, she knew she cleaned up nice.
The restaurant was…extremely trendy. They made a splash as they always did when she was out with Lucifer. The maitre d’, then the waiter, then the sommelier, then the chef, then the owner all came over to make a fuss over their anniversary. She gave Lucifer an obligatory eye roll, but she knew he knew that she’d mellowed to this kind of thing over the years. That it was their anniversary and she was with him was all that really mattered. It didn’t hurt that the food was excellent.
Near the end of the evening, she excused herself to use the restroom. She tapped her foot while she waited for a trio of twenty-somethings who were monopolizing the sink space to touch up their makeup. A woman closer to her own age met her eyes with an exaggerated grimace at the girls. Once they’d cleared out, she and the other woman washed their hands side by side.
“Congratulations on your anniversary,” the woman said as she dried her hands.
“It’s that obvious?”
The woman shrugged. “I take it your handsome husband knows the owner? Anyway, he’s quite a catch,” she said throwing Chloe a knowing look. “Gives me hope for women our age…”
Chloe gaped as the woman left. She was younger than Lucifer. If his driver’s license was to be believed—and Chloe did despite his insistence on celebrating a ‘re-birthday’ on a different date—he’d just turned 53. Even if the smug bastard barely looked 40 if you squinted.
She was still thinking about it when she sat back down at their table.
“What’s your secret?” she asked. Adding, when he tilted his head in question: “How do you stay looking so young?”
He frowned at her. “No secret. As I’ve told you maaaaany times, I’m immortal, love.”
“Right. With two ‘m’s.” She laughed. “Seriously, though, you’ve got to share someday. Because I know it isn’t exactly clean living.”
He just shook his head at her and asked her if she wanted dessert. With that tone that implied there was dessert and then there was dessert.
Later that night, she lay next to him in bed, looking up at that face she loved so much. “I can’t believe you. That you’re the Devil. I just can’t do it.”
“I know,” he said, brushing her hair back from her eyes with a smile. “You need the eggs.”
The End
(And of course he makes her an omelet in the morning.)

1.05 AU
Maze takes out the whole biker gang, including the woman. (And almost punches out Chloe, too.) Lucifer congratulates her, praising her fighting skills. She brushes him off brusquely and stalks away.
He follows her, hurt about her behavior, and she points out angrily that if his recklessness gets him killed, he will end up back in Hell (like his daddy wants), only without her there to watch his back, because she will be stranded up here on earth. She leaves him standing there, staring after her, shocked and worried as he realizes that he hadn't thought of that.
Later, after he and the detective have solved their case, he finds Maze at Lux and they have a long overdue talk. It ends with Lucifer giving Maze his coin so she will always have a way to return to Hell.

Summary:
Lucifer presses his palms to cool stone and pushes himself upright. “I wish to see the damage done to Hell myself. Gather an escort.”
She bows and retreats from the balcony.
He hasn’t walked the streets of Hell for ages. His word from the Palace has always been enough. But that was before. Before a demon attempted to hold the throne, before they started to slip through the gate, before the realm itself began to decay.
Perhaps it's time the demons be reminded just who it is that resides among them, whether he’s of Hell or not.

                                                          ____
"--all...bulance!"
"Sir, c'n y-...ove?"
"Th's doesn't...ook good."
Noises and words made a breakthrough in the darkness and pierce his skull, which already seems to be pierced with pain given the blood he tastes in his mouth and feels on the tip of his nose. But these aren't the biggest breakthroughs.
Further down. Down his shoulder.
The left one. Breakthrough by impalement.
His left eye - the only one that doesn't prefer thick blood to the smooth darkness of the previous fall - follows the visible metal before the jacket, the shirt, then the flesh preceding the leather of his seat. The long pile is a straight line between Devil and lorry. The other pipes have, at least, spared what's left of his convertible. All scattered on the ground, across the wheels of another car, too.
He has time to notice that its mustard-yellow hue is the worst hue to choose for a car before a shadow blocks what remains of his sight since his 'Cyclop' condition. "--ifer."
A hand under his chin touches his throat soon after.
He frowns the only eyebrow that doesn't risk to split open on more blood for puzzled expressions. The hair around the face, half of a profile... not mustard-yellow. It's blonde. Familiar, recognizable blonde. "De'ct've?"
He hasn't finished groaning the last letter that his head is falling backwards, his heart pushed by pain to the bottom of consciousness. It's a global explosion. Everywhere and nowhere at the same time. It remains in his shoulder, it winds around his left leg for a long time, which he's surprised not to have felt before that moment.
The Detective's voice grows quieter. "D'on't… m've! Stay...s'ill, okay? Help's...n the way, Lucifer."
Move?
Who's bloody moving here?! He's not. He has to move to breathe, though.
"Slow...b'eath. Slowly," Chloe encourages him from—
From where? Where is she? Her voice sounds from everywhere. Noise is everywhere.
What is she doing here?

She fucked up.
And the Heavens sought to reiterate this by choosing today—of all days—to unleash a mutinous downpour.
Thanks, she snarked upwards. You’re hilarious, a real class act.
But even that was half-hearted, for she knew that at the end of the day—
She had no one to blame but herself.
Lucifer executed his promise to give her space, and she internally vowed not to let the gap between them yawn to a chasm too discordant to bridge.
Except days turned into weeks turned into a month; as the hours stretched—so did her fears.
Not of him… never him.
No, Chloe was afraid of herself—of the magnitude with which his revelation did nothing to alter her truth.
She loved him.
With every beat of her battered, human heart—she loved him.
And therein lay the problem.
What could she, a mere mortal, offer him? This divine creature of—loathed he was to believe it—inimitable goodness and light.
That she could admit to herself just how fucked she made the situation only proved how weak she was.
Because more than anything, she was afraid to lose him.
Now thanks to that weakness, the causatum of her worst nightmares was unfolding.
Unless she made it in time.
“Lucifer!” she called just as his wings flared behind him, the feathered appendages soaked but gleaming against the gloom of the twilight deluge.
“Detective?”
She hardly registered the angry pelt of cloudburst against her skin as she stepped onto the balcony and into his gravity.
“I’m sorry,” she cried. “I shouldn’t have avoided you for so long and you—” she clutched desperately at the lapels of his jacket. “You don’t have to hide, not from me. And I should’ve told you sooner and now I’m too late because you’re leaving—”
“But I’m…” he shook his head bewilderingly. “not… going… anywhere…?”
She gaped. “You’re not?”
“Goodness, no. For better or for worse, Earth is my home. And there are—” he gave her a pointed look to which she blushed, “—those I would rather endure the trials of humanity for than to ever be without.”
He sniffed disdainfully.
“Whatever gave you that impression anyway?”
“Maze—”
And there it was.
Her erstwhile roommate had been relentless in her pursuit of a forgiveness Chloe hadn’t been so forthcoming in bestowing. Yet she had to credit her perceptiveness despite the deceit, that the ultimate catalyst for reconciliation would be the threat of his permanent exodus.
“That little demon,” she murmured.
Though perhaps she was forgiven, after all.
“But what are you doing out in the rain?”
“Oh,” the euphoric shine christening his dark orbs and tinting his expression with effulgence was infectious. “But I just love it! It was so dry in Hell that I can’t resist basking in it every time. Besides,” he stretched his wings, “roomy as my bathroom is, it’s still ill-equipped for any proper grooming so I took advantage of the torrent. If I ever forget how inconvenient these blasted things are—”
And so she remembers—down to the infinitesimal fibers of her soul—how to love him.
Because it was Lucifer, and he had never been anything but who he was—enough.
And even after her aberration, his gaze upon her—scaturient with a four-letter emotion she was sure they were well on their way to acknowledging—remained unchanged, and this is how she knows.
She, too, was enough.
“So, you’re staying?” her grip on his jacket loosened, only to graze the strong slope of his shoulders.
He grinned crookedly, arms snaking around her waist.
“Till you desire otherwise.”
“Not possible.”
“Suppose,” he hummed, breath a cold mist before him but his body deliciously warm pressed against her shivering figure, “I’ll just have to live with that.”
“How awful,” she teased hoarsely, knees weak with relief. “To be stuck with me.”
“And yet,” he sighed, sealing what little abysm remained between them.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
AN: I have... mixed feelings about this lmao. This was a whopping 1k in its genesis. Not for any plot reasons really, but just cause I love my flowery language XD So if the pacing is that tiny bit off, you know why.
Tbh, I'm more excited for the installment after this but that's for another day hahaha.
But how did you guys find it, is the better question. Let me know! And if you have any requests, don't hesitate to hit me up here!
See you guys in the next one ;)

Deckerstar Soulmate AU Prompt
Tumblr media
I promised myself that I wouldn’t post anything about this until I was at least a third of the way or so through, but I’m so excited about this new fanfiction project of mine that I just have to share at least some of it with potential readers.
So, thanks to @luciferprompts I found a soulmate AU prompt where Lucifer has Chloe on his wings and Chloe has Samael. I have always wanted to write a soulmate fic. Initially, I wanted to do one in the Doctor Who fandom, but since I’ve become so ingrained in the Lucifer fandom recently, I was so excited to find this prompt and make a start on the planning.
Anyway, I’ve finished the prologue and started chapter one, so I just wanted to share a tiny bit of what I’ve written with you.
Here goes:
bear with, it’s still in the drafting stages
In the beginning God made the first humans. Each had a Mark on their body that read the other’s name. Since they were the only two humans in existence, their choice of soulmate was limited, but they still chose to be together rather than be apart. Neither knew that their name was on the other’s body, for neither had yet grasped the concept of written language. In time, they would come to understand, and they accepted that this was meant to be, but that they were not bound in ways that some might think. If their circumstances had been different; if their options had been wider, then they might never have found each other, the other’s name never appearing on their skin: for a Mark only become visible once the two people had crossed paths with their counterpart one way or another.
So yes, God made humans with the potential to find a true soulmate, whether that soulmate be a romantic partner or a friend. In fact, all beings with a soul had the same potential. The only difference was that a being needed to have unadulterated Free Will in order for the potential Mark to come into fruition; thus, no angel had ever born a Mark.
Except one.
Hope you like! and hopefully, I’ll be posting some proper chapters on AO3 soonish
