after being off of social media for a week and only going into the public when you needed the essentials you finally decided it was time to look at your social media. you and Joseph had both been helping each other come to terms with what had actually occurred. you had both been violated and it was still a shock that someone had posted that footage without your knowledge and it disgusted you that you still had hardly any idea who it was except that it was a man and he was paparazzi.

you had deleted your social media apps because you knew you'd be tempted to look again and you honestly didn't want to face this just yet, but you knew you had to. there were so many celebrities that had been outed by the paparazzi and you hated that they could get away with it but you were going to allow it to happen to you.

you were going to find out who posted that video, where they got the video from and deal with this professionally. Joseph had gone out, finally, because he had to go see some of his mates and then go see his mum and dad for the first time after the video was released. you and Joseph were lucky. both of your families had reacted somewhat well to this incident. they had obviously been on your side 100% and were shocked to even hear about the video- luckily none of them had seen it but they understood the general gist of it due to so many comments being made about it in the media.

all your social media apps had downloaded and you finally logged in to them all and were shocked to see how many notifications you actually had. your twitter and instagram especially had millions and millions of comments and posts defending you after some of the horrific comments made about you and you couldn't believe the amount of support you were getting.

there were accounts made in support of you, so many comments made under your instagram posts and twitter posts and you just couldn't help but get emotional. never in your life did you feel so loved by your fans and you couldn't believe it.

you first looked through your most recent instagram post which had the most comments under it- you were shocked. boys, girls and adults were all there appreciating you, your body and how well you were coping with this scandal. the main comments you read were:

this girl is so strong! imagine you were just doing what normal couples do and then you get degraded for enjoying yourself. she's so much better than me because i would be throwing a fit. this shows how professional she is. love her!

could never imagine what to do in a situation like this but we are all on your side y/n. no one deserves to be publicly humiliated and slut shamed. ignore the haters bby you looked good ;)

y/n isn't a slut for having sex! Joseph isn't a God for having sex! of you have this narrative in your mind then you are crazy😟

y/n is a true celebrity- she's done the right thing. she's taken herself out of social media to deal with this the right way and it's so commendable!

seeing Joseph write a statement on instagram even though he doesn't run his account just shows how much love be has for her. he's defending her and ignoring the fact that he's being praised. he's a true boyfriend and the two of them together are *chefs kiss*.

reading y/n's statement actually broke my heart. the fact that she apologised for being publicly shamed is so fucking sad. no one should ever feel like they have to apologise for that. we love you y/n!

the comments continued and you couldn't believe it. Joseph had posted on instagram and spoken out about it? Joseph didn't really like social media so his management team ran his account but hearing that he posted just for you melted your heart. you checked his instagram and saw the little black post with a long paragraph with it. you read it and felt the tears which had already filled your eyes streak down your face:

we all know why i am making this post, its because me and y/n were exposed in the worst way imaginable. to be real with everyone that didn't hurt me. the worst thing was seeing the effect it had on my beautiful girlfriend y/n. y/n is one of the strongest people i know and seeing her so heartbroken and embarrassed broke me. me and y/n have been together for two years and i've never ever seen her like this. the disgusting amount of comments that were made about her body, her looks and just her in general shocked me because i never knew how brutal some of you could be. seeing her be slut shamed and seeing her scrolling through the crazy amount of hateful comments and seeing the hurtful look on her face broke me even more. how come she gets slut shamed when we were both doing the same activity. y/n is the kindest being on this earth- not once have i ever seen her lose her temper with a fan or someone in her family and seeing people be horrible to her was so hurtful. please remember to be respectful and kind - Joe

after reading this you knew. you knew Joseph was the one for you and you would never ever leave him. he was the purest soul on this earth and he went onto social media and posted this just for you. Joseph truly was the best boyfriend in the entire world and you honestly wouldn't know what to do without him.

Joseph was with Wesley, his best friend, in some random pub which was practically surrounded by paparazzi who were bombarding him with questions. questions about you, questions about how he's feeling about just all around invasive questions that weren't going to be answered. Joseph and you both loved your privacy. your relationship wasn't a secret- obviously- but it was private.

you both only posted each other when you felt comfortable and that was final. practically everyone who knew you and Joseph had seen the video except your family. people who didn't even know who you and Joseph were had seen the video but watched with sympathy as they realised you were publicly humiliated and were exposed without your knowledge.

"how are you doing mate?" Wesley said as he took a sip of his beer. Joseph sighed and rubbed his neck before fiddling with the ring on his finger. "i'm alright mate. i mean my dick is out in the world which is one thing i didn't think would happen this year but what can i do?" he tried to joke, but Wesley didn't laugh.

he was just as disgusted that you'd both been publicly humiliated and he felt sorry for his friend who was obviously embarrassed at the fact his body was on display for the world to see. "have you guys found out who's done it yet?" it was a no. you had absolutely no idea who had posted that video and the police were still trying to track it down.

"nah mate. no clue. all we know is it was someone from the paparazzi which i don't think there's much we can do now anyway. it's out there, millions and millions of people have seen it so. i don't know, i just feel so bad for y/n. she's had a lot more backlash then i have and it's really affecting her. she's closed all the curtains in the house so no one can see inside and she's also looking at new houses because the paparazzi know where we live and she doesn't want that"

Wesley sighed. the paparazzi and hate had really broke you. "it's scary mate. they're all outside now photographing you. you can barely catch a break. i don't know how-" Wesley was cut off by by three girls, all around the same age coming up to the table where they were sat.

"excuse me, we just wanted to come up to you and say how sorry we are for what's happened to you and y/n. it's horrible to be publicly humiliated like that and what the media is saying about you both is terrible" Joseph and Wesley looked at each other and then back at the girls. Joseph was uncomfortable. very uncomfortable.

he knew these girls were just trying to be nice but to be approached when he least expected it just have him anxiety and he didn't know how to react. "oh, urm. thank you, that's really nice of you to say" he said, scratching the back of his neck. it was an obvious sign he was uncomfortable.

"that's okay. it was nice to meet you Joseph" one of the girls said, smiling sweetly at him before they all walked back to their table. "well that was very awkward" Wesley said with a small smirk on his face. "even hearing people talk about it makes me uncomfortable. maybe i should apologise-" "no mate, i was just joking. you handled it fine" Joseph hated that this happened to the two of you.

even seeing tabloids in the news and posts about it on social media just made him wanna crawl up into a ball and never come out. after the encounter with the three girls, Wesley decided it was best to change the topic of conversation. to be realistic there wasn’t much to talk about apart from the tape so they didn’t stay at the pub for much longer.

the amount of paparazzi outside of the pub had almost doubled when they both decided it was best to leave and Joseph’s anxiety was through the roof. “cmon Joseph you can do this” he whispered to himself as he put on his sunglasses before walking out of the pub with Wesley right behind him but he walked the opposite way to his car, not even getting to say goodbye to his best friend because of how many people there were surrounding him.

they walked out of the pub with the flashes automatic starting, they were almost blinding. “so Joseph how’s y/n?” “are you embarrassed?” “are you and y/n still having sex?” “are you going to break up with y/n?” “is y/n doing bad Joseph? we haven’t seen her” “is it upsetting that you don’t know who’s posted this video?”

the amount of questions added on with the flashing lights gave him a headache. the questions were just invasive and he couldn’t handle it anymore. he was at his car when one question in particular made him snap “Joseph how does it feel being associated with such a slut like y/n? i mean, we never knew she was like that so she most definitely is sleeping around with different men. does that bother you Joseph? that maybe your size isn’t satisfying your girlfriend? i mean, y/n isn’t that pretty and i’m surprised you’re still with her, she’s a slut” “also how do you feel about people talking about you and your body? is it affecting you in any way that people are calling you small?” Joseph wasn’t one for violence but in that moment he’d never wanted to punch someone more.

he couldn’t believe it, for the first time he’d snapped at the paparazzi and he couldn’t help but feel relieved. he finally stood up for you in person instead of over the phone on an instagram post.

you didn’t even realise Joseph had got home until you felt his hand on your shoulder, stroking it softly. “hi sweetheart” he kissed your forehead and then walked around the sofa so he could sit next to you. “hi Joey. how was Wesley?” you asked, placing your phone next to you so he could have your full attention.

“he was good. paparazzi are everywhere. i had a disagreement with one of them which you will probably see later” he laughed making you smile at him. “why? what were they saying?” you were always curious and this time was no different. he sighed, looking over at you with a sympathetic smile on his face. “just horrible things about you sweetheart. you don’t even wanna know. i think maybe we should look for a new house-”

Joseph was interrupted by both of your phones were buzzing with phone calls, messages and social media posts. you picked up your phone and saw it was Tom calling you. you looked at Joseph who nodded for you to answer it. “hi Tom, is everything-” “they found him! the police found out who posted your video and he’s been taken into custody. they are trying their best to erase the video off of the internet but that may take a bit longer but they’ve got him y/n.” your eyes filled with tears as you heard the news.

he’d been caught. the tears which filled your eyes fell down your cheeks silently as you carried on listening to Tom talk. “they found a full tape of you two on his hard drive and he was going to threaten you with posting the whole thing but they got him in time. the hard drive has been broken so no one can see the tape” you felt relieved. Joseph wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you into him. “that’s great news Tom, thank you” Joseph said before they said their goodbyes.

“they got him baby” Joseph whispered, kissing your forehead as you sobbed. you didn’t realise how much this had actually affected you and the wait just made everything worse. “i told you they would didn’t i? we don’t have to worry about it anymore” he said as you kissed him passionately. he’d stuck with you through this whole situation and you were so grateful for him. “you handled it so well love, you should be really proud of yourself” he kissed you again, you just couldn’t describe the feeling you felt with this tape not being accessible now. you were grateful, grateful that this whole tape was gone and it couldn’t hurt you anymore. now all you needed to do was try ignore what people were saying and focus on you and Joseph, that was the lost important thing. him.

“He came out of nowhere.”

You stare up at the holographic screen.

You’ve been back for barely a week, and there’s something new on the horizon. From out in space, a genocidal maniac has made himself known.

He calls himself Thanos. The last survivor of a planet whose civilization fell long ago. And he’s hunting for stones that can apparently control every part of the universe.

You’re lucky the team received the warning in time. Thor, Bruce Banner, and the remaining Asgardians had narrowly escaped the titan, and fled to Earth to warn you of the danger.

The god had asked a few questions about your wings, as fascinated by them as you were about the magical hammer he carried.

Despite what the others said, you quickly realized that Thor wasn’t dumb, not even dense. Just unaccustomed to modern life. Much like you and your boys.

Okay, maybe he was a little bit dense.

Alongside them, another addition had arrived in the form of a sorcerer by the name of Stephen Strange. His demeanor reminded you of a certain genius.

But there wasn’t time to worry about much other than preparing for the coming siege. There wasn’t time to warn the governments of the world. You needed to suit up. Quickly.

“What’s his objective?” Steve asks, one hand on the small of your back and the other entwined with Bucky’s flesh hand.

“He’s a plague,” Bruce rasps. “He invades planets. He takes what he wants. He wipes out half the population. He sent Loki.” He points to the rather greasy reformed god, who frowns.

“So this is it,” Tony hums. The billionaire is oddly composed, silently calculating. “What’s our timeline?”

“No telling. He has the Power and Space Stones. That already makes him the strongest creature in the whole universe. If he gets his hands on all six stones, Tony…”

Strange cuts in. “He could destroy life on a scale hitherto undreamt of.”

You wrinkle your nose a bit.

“Did you seriously just say ‘hitherto undreamt of’? God, you sound like my grandfather.” you ask.

“Are you seriously complaining about how I talk when you’re 100 years old?”

“Physically, I’m about 30, so-“

Bucky sighs. “Joacă frumos, păpușă [Play nice, doll].”

Tony speaks before you start arguing with the sorcerer again. “If Thanos needs all six, why don’t we just stick Mr. Sparkles’s stone down the garbage disposal?” he asks, gesturing to the Time Stone held in the amulet.

“No can do,” the man retorts. Wong, another sorcerer explains.

“We swore an oath to protect the Time Stone with our lives.”

Tony shrugs. “And I swore off dairy, but then Ben & Jerry’s named a flavor after me-“

“Ok, boys, how about we table this conversation for a time when we aren’t in danger,” Nat snaps.

“Ok, look, Thanos has the biggest army in the universe, and he’s not gonna stop until he gets… Vision’s stone.”

You nod. “Then we have to protect it.” The android, from his place staring out the window, disagrees.

“No, we have to destroy it. I’ve been giving a good deal of thought to this entity in my head. About its nature.” He pauses, stepping towards Wanda. “But also its composition. I think if it were exposed to a sufficiently powerful energy source, something very similar to its own signature, perhaps-“

Vision leans close to the girl. “-its molecular integrity could fail.” You knew what he was asking. All of you did. But no one wanted to say it.

“Yeah, and you with it,” Wanda chuckles, disbelieving. “We’re not having this conversation.”

“Eliminating the stone is the only way to be certain that Thanos can’t get it,” he presses.

“That’s too high a price.”

Your chest aches as the android gently takes her face in his hands.

“Only you have the power to pay it. Thanos threatens half the universe. One life cannot stand in the way of defeating him.”

“But it should,” Steve says. “We don’t trade lives, Vision.” You rest a hand on his arm, nodding when he looks to you for support.

“Captain, 70 years ago, you laid down your life to save how many millions of people?” Vision queries. Despite being a robot, his voice is laced with uncertainty. Fear. “Tell me, why is this any different?”

Tony, Bruce, and Peter look up from where they were discussing.

“Because you might have a choice,” the doctor says. “Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays. JARVIS, Ultron, Tony, me, the stone. All of them mixed together, all of them learning from one another.”

Wanda takes a sharp breath. “You’re saying Vision isn’t just the stone?”

“I’m saying that if we take out the stone, there’s still a whole lot of Vision left, perhaps the best parts.”

“Can we do that?” Nat asks.

Bruce shakes his head. “Not me, not here.”

Peter, as quiet as he’d been, raises his hand. “I know someone! And somewhere.”

You raise a brow. “So do I.”

“Shuri,” both of you say.

“How do you know her?” Bucky asks. The teen sheepishly shrugs.

“She started sending me advice on how to fix my suits from Instagram.”

FRIDAY’s voice echoed over the speakers. “Boss, something’s entered the atmosphere in lower Manhattan.”

Tony curses under his breath. “Shit, okay. We’ve gotta split up.”

“Okay, normally I’m all for your plans, but that seems like a horrible idea,” Sam says.

“We don’t have any other choice. You go to Wakanda, Thor and his crew can head into space to recruit any help we can get, and we’ll stay and handle this,” the billionaire says, gesturing to himself, Peter, and the sorcerers.

A knot forms in your gut. “And if it’s Thanos?”

No one responds. It’s a real possibility that none of you want to think about.

“Then we’ll hold him off until you get there.”

The quinjet has never flown faster. A quick call to T’Challa and Shuri meant that you were rushing off the plane the moment you arrived, before the princess grabbed Bucky, Steve, and you.

“Come with me. I have an upgrade for that outdated arm of yours,” she calls.

“Is there time?” the brunet asks. Entering her lab, dozens of doctors hurry over. Bucky grabs yours and Steve’s hands, unsure of how to navigate this.

“It’ll be okay,” Steve assures. You nod, following as they lay him down on a table.

They’re unbelievably quick as they work, a hologram providing a view into everything going on. Within minutes, he’s gone under and they’ve started removing the heavy titanium.

Shuri herself carefully implants a new base for the arm, which clicks into place with little trouble. That’s when you see the arm.

It’s gold and black, crafted with careful detail but still bulky enough to balance out. You lift it gently, finding the weight to be much lighter than the old one. Vibranium.

Doctors take the arm from you with knowing smiles, precisely but swiftly locking it in place.

When he sits up minutes later, you hold your breath.

Flexing the new hand, Bucky stares in awe at the prosthetic.

“I… I can feel again.”

He reaches for you and Steve, and can’t believe it when he can truly feel your wings with his left hand. The sensation isn’t perfect, but he’ll take it over the cold, unfeeling HYDRA arm any day.

“What’s it like?” Steve asks, holding Bucky’s face with one hand.

“Perfect.”

A voice calls from the door.

“As cute as you three are, we’ve gotta hurry.” Nat holds up a projection. “Tony says Thanos isn’t in Manhattan.”

The rest of the group is hurrying in behind her, guiding Vision onto the operating table as Shuri prepares for a much more difficult procedure.

“The structure is polymorphic,” she comments.

Bruce nods. “Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially.”

“Why didn’t you just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?” You don’t understand what they’re saying, but by the look on Bruce’s face, she’s made an excellent point.

“… Because we didn’t think of it.”

The girl purses her lips to hide a smile. “I’m sure you did your best.”

Wanda and Shuri begin to discuss the complications of the procedure, but you wander to the window. It’s too perfect. The sky is dappled with clouds and Wakanda is going on as normal as possible with the impending disaster looming on the horizon.

Right on cue, Sam’s voice rings through your earpiece.

“Hey, Cap, we got a situation here.”

You watch as a vessel crashes into the protective shield that surrounds the city, blowing up and leaving no damage.

“Don’t start celebrating yet. We got more incoming outside the dome,” Rhodey groans.

Fire blazes into view as more ships crash into the earth. You feel your heart rate increase.

“It’s too late, we need to destroy the stone now,” Vision says. The look on Wanda’s face is enough for you to shake your head.

“Get your ass back on that table,” you press.

T’Challa nods. “We will hold them off.”

Steve turns to the anxious Sokovian. “Wanda, as soon as that stone’s out of his head, you blow it to hell.”

“I will.”

You soar above dozens of hovering vehicles as the aliens approach the barrier. It’s hard to get a clear view of the enemy, but below you, you can clearly spot Bruce in the Hulkbuster and Nat, Bucky, and Steve on a carrier. Beside you, Rhodey and Sam scope out the area.

One small disadvantage of your abilities. Flight comes naturally. No tech. No heat scanners or AI. No extra help. Just your powers and your wings.

At the tree line, one huge alien and one smaller one stop. The Wakandan forces fall into formation, and you watch from the air as Nat, Steve, and T’Challa go to face the two.

No surprise, it goes horribly. The crash-landed ships open, and you can make out hundreds of ugly, dog-like aliens barreling through the forest.

You land next to your boys just in time to hear Bucky mumble, “What the hell?”

“Looks like we pissed her off,” Nat mumbles.

“They’re killing themselves,” Okoye whispers in horror. She’s right. Only a few make it through the barrier before being immediately killed. The rest are sliced by the force field.

Bucky shoots down some and Bruce fires lasers while the Wakandans take out the rest.

At your side, you twist your hands. It’s been months since you’ve used your powers. Partly out of fear, but also as a way to forget all of the memories that came with them.

While you worry, one alien makes it through Bucky’s rain of gunfire, jumping towards you with a slavering mouth full of yellowed teeth.

Quick as ever, you swing out your hand, and the burst of light is so potent that it disintegrates on contact.

“Well, good to know that that still works,” Steve says, arm still raises from where he went to defend you. Twin shields are mounted on his wrists, with razor-sharp points.

“Cap, of these things circle the perimeter and get in behind us,” Bruce begins. “There’s nothing between them and Vision.

“Then we better keep ‘em in front of us,” Steve replies.

“How are we supposed to do that?” you ask. It’s not like you can tell them where to go.

T’Challa swallows. “We open the barrier.” He lifts a hand to his earpiece before you can protest. “On my signal, open North-West Section Seventeen.”

“This will be the end of Wakanda,” a man you don’t quite recognize says.

Okoye doesn’t hesitate. “Then it will be the noblest ending in history.”

Glancing to Steve and Bucky, then back to the barrier, you inhale sharply. “To the end of the line?”

“To the end of the line.”

12. What’s the most embarrassing moment of your life so far?

Oh geez, I mean as a person I tend to have 0 shame anymore so embarrassment doesn’t get to me as much lmao, but if I had to pick a moment where I was truly embarrassed then it’d have to be any sort of coughing fit in a quiet meeting/assembly… I did it once at secondary school during a serious lecture and could not stop coughing.. everyone was looking at me and it was just awful😩 I also fell over in a bog on a school trip but that’s a whole other story lmao, but again I wasn’t embarrassed really cus I knew how funny it must’ve looked haha

13. What fictional character do you identify with the most?

Now this one I know instantly!! I’m a mix of Kirishima and Bakugo from mha! I’m more kiri in the sense that I’m super energetic about a lot of things and supportive of my friends in all kinds of ways, but I also struggle a lot with feeling inferior to my peers and have major trauma/mental health problems lmao… same can be said for bakubro with the mental health stuff, but I also have similar anger related issues (not as extreme as his) but still can get snippy or short tempered real easy - especially when getting someone else to do something and they do it wrong lmao, I’m more a ‘get it done myself’ kinda person like him! I also think a bit like Hiccup from HTTYD with the tinkering mentality and sarcastic honour aha!

I officially have a new favorite Seokjin and it's this one right here! I'm so down bad for him as a beautiful bimbo vampire, you have no idea! Especially considering he doesn't age and he referenced Twilight in that one Run Episode. Like how do we know he isn't one?

Their first meeting had me hollering! Like it's so rare for me to laugh out loud reading fics, but I was genuinely cry laughing - especially when OC had her little breakdown about not being good enough to get bitten. I can't tell if I'd react the same or just run for my life, but I'm glad she struck up a conversation with him. And then Jin freakin out over the fact that she's twenty-seven (as an almost 27-year-old who feels old at times, this oddly comforted me).

And then for the story to unfold from there! Like Jin just going to her place when he gets exiled from his clan (poor bby) and just sort of barging his way into her life as his roommate? That's so Jin of him, I can't explain. I love the morbid sort of reality that Seokjin just received an exile and death sentence and he's just chilling on her couch watching Love Island, I can't explain how that made me smile.

The way they became friends was so sweet and wholesome but also full of the right amount of crack that Seokjin would bring to any relationship. Like him sending the flowers for V-day and OC giving him sheets, but then also her helping him after he got drunk from the blood bank. It's strange, but also tender, and it made my heart melt.

The vampire lore was too good here! I feel like it had the perfect amount of being believable but also ridiculous enough to fit with the vibe of the fic. Like Seokjin becoming a twitch streamer to afford blood, but then also the inevitable reality of aging and whatnot while he remained immortal. I kind of like that you kept it open ended about what they decided for the future and focused on them falling in love in the here and now.

All this is to say that the humour here was top-notch (which I've come to expect from reading your work)! The sex scene genuinely had me screaming so hard, but I also liked that they had a cute happy ending with them and their little found family :) Now I will actively be searching for a vampire Seokjin irl, ty!

I def do not own ☠️☠️☠️☠️ so I’m very lucky to have gotten my academics paid by scholarships, so my mom has been kind enough to help top off the rest (which is mostly rent) for these 3 years (in college my housing was part of my scholarship!!! good days). But I try to gather as much as it as I can. I had 2.5 months in my job last summer which I was really well paid so that paid for at least like 10 months of the 36 months. My job also gave me an advance to pay for stuff between graduation and first day of work (may-oct) so that is paying for another chunk of months. But I’m veryyyyy lucky to have a mom willing to basically empty out her life savings for me to get through these 3 years (and in an apartment that does not make me want to die). I will pay it all back (I have a detailed spreadsheet of every cent she has given me for education/living since HS) 🥰
