First Light - an IgNoct one shot
Title: First Light Fandom: FFXV Pairing: IgNoct (Noctis Lucis Caelum x Ignis Scientia) Rating: Mature (Established Relationship - NSFW - Making Love - Feels and Angst - Minor Angst with a happy ending - Ep Ignis V2) Word Count: ~2,425 Prompt: Their moments after daybreak in the alternate ending
Summary: Noctis returns from the Crystal, and sets out to finish the fight with his friends by his side.
A/N: Here is my gift to amula6812 over on twitter for the @ignoctgiftexchange. Please enjoy!
---
Wood crackles as little sparks of fire leave the pit, the fire continuing to burn, their only source of light in the immediate area. Noctis can smell the fire, feel its heat, feel it providing warmth in this never-ending night that he’s awoken to. The smell of the fire is comforting - that smell can never change, no matter the circumstances. He may have been away for a long time, but smelling this fire - it takes him back to what brought them here in the first place.
Turning his head, he sees the tent nearby, the runes glowing as they’d made camp just outside the gates back into Insomnia. Tomorrow is going to be tough. Tomorrow is going to be the day he’s been both looking forward to and dreading at the same time.
Tomorrow, this all comes to an end.
But not the way the Astrals have told him it has to end. No. He refuses to believe that the only way out of this is through his own sacrifice. While he isn’t afraid to die, he doesn’t feel that that’s a fair fight and the only outcome to this madness with the first Lucis Caelum - Ardyn.
He grabs a stick and pokes at the fire, not yet ready to go to sleep. He has too much on his mind. Looking over at his old home, there isn’t much to see thanks to the everlasting night. But he knows that it’s there, and he knows that it’s time to go and reclaim their home. He should go to sleep, but it evades him, as he’s too anxious about what’s to come tomorrow. Plus, he’s been sleeping for ten years. If there’s anything he doesn’t want to do right now, it’s sleep.
“You shouldn’t be out here.” Noctis turns his head, and sees Ignis has left the tent and is coming over to sit near him. “You’re supposed to be asleep, Your Majesty.”
Noctis turns his head away, wanting to hide his smile as it seems like it’s in bad taste, considering what they’re about to go through. “You know why I’m not in there, Ignis.”
“Yes, I do.” His longtime companion sits down next to him. It’s been go go go since he’s returned from the Crystal, and while he’s been hoping to have a moment alone with his Adviser, this isn’t how he pictured it would be. As if sensing his thoughts, Ignis stands up and offers him his hand. “Come with me.”
Following him takes him to the area where they keep their chocobos. Ignis hops onto his, and Noctis decides that sure - a night run would be better than staring at the fire, going over each and every scenario on what may happen in the fight tomorrow. He clicks his heels against his chocobo, and they take off, heading back towards Longwythe.
They come to a stop at the motel, Noctis looking at Ignis who isn’t meeting his eyes but he doesn’t have to. Noctis hops off of his chocobo, tying his riding companion to the post, and then follows Ignis to the motel, where he pays for a room and then leads Noctis to the end of the building, entering their favorite room at this particular Three Z’s.
Ignis points to the single bed, to which Noctis gives a firm nod and heads to sit on the edge of it. Ignis kneels down in front of him, and painstakingly begins to undress him. First, his shoes are removed. Next, his socks. Noctis stays still, his breathing becoming a bit more labored as he feels the touch of Ignis’ fingers on the black button up shirt he’s wearing. It’s been so long since they’d done this part of their routine, it almost feels like the very first time.
Lips brush against his jaw, Noctis tilting his head back as Ignis helps to push his upper body down onto the bed. “Relax, Noctis.” Ignis’ voice sends a thrill through his body, his hands curling into loose fists as he struggles to do as he’s told. “It’s me. No one else is here to bother us.”
“I know.” The words come out in a quiet whisper. But he knows that Ignis has heard. “Ignis, I…”
A finger touches his lips. “No. Not right now. Later.”
Noctis nods his head, and feels Ignis’ lips touch his chest, kissing a pathway down to where his pants are still on. Ignis soon takes care of that, leaving Noctis as naked as the day he was brought into this world. Noctis stares at his lover, who takes off his own clothes and then returns to where Noctis is laying on the bed. He wants to keep his eyes open, wants to stare at the man who’s made his days so much happier throughout his life - he’s afraid if he closes them, then this will be it. And he doesn’t want that.
Ignis’ palm cups the side of his face, his fingers brushing his beard. Facial hair. Facial hair he never knew he could grow until he was out of the Crystal, and felt it on his face. The facial hair that now hides the fact he no longer looks the way he looked before going into the Crystal. How time has done its number on him in the only way it knows how. It feels strange at first, but then he slowly grows to like it as he feels Ignis’ breath against his lips, unaware of when he brought his face closer to his own.
“No thoughts tonight, Noctis.” Ignis whispers. “Only you and me.”
“You and me.” He returns, gazing into his eyes. “S-Show me how it was, Ignis.”
“I will, Your Majesty.”
Lips touch his with a soft kiss, but then the kiss becomes more as Ignis seals his lips over his own, and skillfully pushes his tongue into Noctis’ mouth. He moans into the kiss, as Ignis’ hand begins to work him open, well-oiled fingers doing their job of making him ready. And within moments, Ignis is pushing the tip of his cock into his body in one fluid motion, Noctis’ head tossing back with a loud, encouraging moan. They haven’t been intimate like this since the night before he was supposed to get the Hydraean’s blessing, and then, it had been rushed. Hurried. Frantic. As if they knew things were going to change after the blessing.
Now, though - now Ignis takes his time, making sure that Noctis is taken care of. All Noctis can do is moan, pushing his hips down to meet each slow thrust of Ignis’ hips. The bed creaks, the sound of Red Iron Giants can be heard roaming the world outside. But that doesn’t matter. No, what matters in this moment is how good it feels to be connected to his lover once more.
Noctis comes without any warning, but Ignis doesn’t relent. Ignis brings him right back into full hardness, Noctis’s arms now wrapped around Ignis’ neck as he clings to him. He moans his name, over and over, tears spilling from his eyes as everything feels right. Everything feels perfect. Ignis makes him come again, and then he listens to his sweet cries as his lover finds his own peace, Noctis groaning as the steady warmth of Ignis’ release flows against his inner walls.
Ignis pulls out, the two of them groaning in unison at the lost connection, but within seconds Ignis is by his side, returning his lips to Noctis’, showering him with more kisses and touches. He feels at peace, and knows that no matter what happens tomorrow, at least he’s going into this final confrontation with the knowledge that he’s able to be with his lover one final time.
“Tomorrow-” Noctis begins, but then stops as Ignis’ finger returns to his lips.
“No, Noctis. I won’t allow it.”
He gave him a watery smile, overcome with emotion as he stared at him. “Very well, Ignis.” They stare at each other for a few more minutes, and then Noctis closes his eyes and rests his head against Ignis’ chest. “Can I say I-”
“I love you too.” Ignis replies, brushing a kiss against his forehead. “Now sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a very long day.”
“You won’t leave me, will you?”
The fear is evident in his voice. Noctis can’t hide it. He doesn’t want to hide it, as if there is one person that will always know his true emotions, it will be Ignis. Ignis Scientia, who became his best friend at the age of four, who has been by his side through many milestones in his short life. Ignis, who held him as he cried about his first crush in school, and who kissed away the sadness of when Noctis couldn’t go to the first dance in high school because no one had asked him. Ignis, who had held him close after the death of his father, making love to him to remind him that he will be there for him.
“Never, Your Majesty. I will be with you, no matter what.” Ignis holds his gaze, Noctis feeling the truth coming through loud and clear. “Now, sleep. We’ll head back to camp early in the morning.”
Noctis closes his eyes and does fall asleep for a few short, blissful hours. The warmth of Ignis’ body next to his has always made it easier for him to sleep, and tonight is no different. When they wake, they head to the shower and take one together, finding the time to share a few more intimate moments together before their long day has to begin.
Back at the campsite, both Gladio and Prompto are awake, drinking coffee around the fire. “Everything okay, Your Majesty?” Prompto asks, as Noctis sits down with them.
“Everything is perfect, Prompto. Are you ready to head into Insomnia?”
“Let’s go kick Ardyn’s ass!” His best friend declared, making Noctis smile. Yes, today would be the day that they kick Ardyn’s ass, and make him pay for what he has done to their lives.
Insomnia is bleak. Noctis wants to cry as he sees the state that his former home is in. But knowing that if he puts an end to Ardyn’s life, then this will take away the daemons is a comforting thought. The day is long, as they come under attack over and over. But his friends hold him up as they make their way to the Citadel, where Ifrit is waiting for them, waiting to show them the true power of Ardyn Izunia.
The fight is difficult. But with his friends to help him, Noctis finds the strength to go on the offense attack. They make quick work of Ifrit as a team, and rather than go alone to face Ardyn, he turns to his friends and stares at each of them. “I know you may not think you’re ready for this fight, but you are. Come with me, and let’s end this together.”
“Yes, Your Majesty!” All three of his friends reply.
Ardyn isn’t easy to defeat. They wind up taking the fight from the Citadel out to the streets down below, his friends one step ahead. Ignis is constantly healing him, shouting at him that he can do this. Gladio is blocking each blow from Ardyn with his Shield, yelling at Noctis to finish the job. Prompto is shooting his guns, making Ardyn dance as Noctis swoops in from behind and unleashes his Armiger attack at the best moment possible. As his Armiger attack hits Ardyn, he watches as the first Lucis Caelum meets his end, the black ichor coming from his eyes now disappearing as his body is lowered back to the ground, the final fight over.
They won.
Together.
He approaches the former first King of Lucis, and sees Ardyn has a smile on his face. “Thank you, Noctis.” Ardyn continues to smile as his body disappears in the wind, the magic that had been keeping him alive for two millennia now gone.
“Noctis.” He turns to look at Ignis, who is pointing towards the east. “Look.”
The first rays of dawn can be seen cresting over the horizon, the first time in ten years. Noctis steps closer to Ignis, and then feels his knees begin to weaken. Ignis catches him before he can fall, his arms around his body as they both kneel on the ground. He can hear both Prompto and Gladio sobbing, and while he can feel his own cheeks damp with tears, he can’t hear himself crying.
“We did this.” Ignis speaks softly into his ear, as they continue to watch the sunrise together for the first time. It reminds him of the first time they’d stayed up all night, sitting on the roof of the Citadel to watch the sunrise together. But this - this is a defining moment in both of their lives. “You did this, Noctis.”
“You guys were a big part.” He hiccups a sob, his tears now flowing freely. “They told him I had to die. They said that to bring the sun back, I would need to die with him. They were wrong, Ignis.”
“They were.” Noctis turns towards him and falls into his arms, crying hard as Ignis hugs him close. “You did what needed to be done, Your Majesty. Now the world can heal, and we can live our lives.”
He clings to Ignis, the very essence of his own love pouring out through each sob that wracked his body. The world is getting brighter by the second, and by the time the sun is fully shining down on them, he is surrounded by his close friends. His friends who had set out on one journey, and wound up on a very different path than what they’d set out on.
“You guys are the best.” He stares at each of his friends, smiling as complete happiness consumes him. He reaches for Ignis, who comes without a second thought, and the two share a kiss as the sun kisses their skin, bathing them in its warmth for the first time in a very, very long time.
It would take a long time to get the world back to how it used to be, but Noctis doesn’t care. What matters most is that he’s still here; the Astrals were wrong. With the strength of his friends, they had returned the light to the world of Eos. Reaching for Ignis’ hand, they all stand together, his fingers clasped with Ignis’ as they stare at the rising sun; together, as it is meant to be.

Prompt!! Because christmas is for family (by blood or choice, fortunate or unfortunately)-- Ace making spice drinks or just generally looking after and being looked after by his husband and/or his glaives and/or Ardyn and it being bittersweet but good? And just generally them being warm and not hurting for once??
Ace is busy, he has been busy for the past week; dealing with nobles who want a say in what Ace can and cannot do. Busy dealing with the aftermath of the death of Iedolas and his Council and the way Ravus and Luna seem adamant that Ace is now family and should be visited at least once a month.
It’s not that he isn’t fond of them - Ace will reluctantly admit he is - but he wishes that their visit hadn’t been for business.
All this is to say that Ace is exhausted and while Ace will be the first to admit that it’s rare that he gets a chance to just stay in; he will also admit that when he does get a chance to stay in - as he is now - he feels a bit aimless.
There is only so much to do around his apartment while all of his friends and family are out at work or school in Selena’s case. For a moment Ace debates leaving to do some shopping but a glance at the temperature reading on his phone burns that idea up quickly.
It’s minus forty-five degrees celsius outside and Ace is from an island where they rarely got any snow at all. Despite the fact that his past life was accustomed to the cold Ace can now surely say that he hates the cold.
He spares a moment to hope that his friends manage to keep warm on their way home before he sighs and flops backward on his couch.
Blueberry - the Messenger that refuses to leave Ace alone - appears on his chest, digs a paw into Ace’s stomach causing Ace to wince as the cat does a small circle on Ace’s torso before settling down and blinking slowly at Ace.
“Was that necessary?” Ace asks, raising an eyebrow. Blueberry doesn’t respond, just looks down at Ace as though he’s expecting something.
Ace sighs and reaches up to run his hand down Blueberry’s back. Blueberry starts purring and Ace can’t help the smile that crosses his face.
Slowly, with the warmth of a cat on his chest and the snow falling softly outside as the wind howls it’s horrible song, Ace falls asleep.
-
Ace wakes to the door opening and closing, the sound of many feet crossing the threshold makes him open his eyes and he finds Tredd grinning down at him.
“You’re adorable,” Tredd says gleefully as Ace blinks the sleep away, “I got pictures.”
Ace goes to lunge for Tredd only for the cat on Ace’s chest to dig his claws into Ace’s chest and past the fabric of his sweater.
Ace stills, and Blueberry gives him a look.
Tredd cackles and dashes away, Ace can hear the ‘aww’s’ coming from the kitchen and he can’t help but glare at the cat on his chest.
“You don’t need to be here,” Ace says to the cat, “And I need to get up.”
“You don’t,” Nyx disagrees as he comes with a blanket to toss over Ace. Ace protests, thinking of Blueberry but Blueberry is gone as quickly as he came and Ace is now covered in a terribly warm cream colored cable knit blanket.
Nyx grins at Ace, an echo of the troublemaker he can still be etched in his smile.
“You’ve have a busy week,” Nyx says, leaning down to press a kiss to Ace’s forehead, “Just sleep, the rest of us will take care of dinner.”
“If you let Tredd cook I’m kicking your ass,” Ace informs his husband as sleep drags his eyelids back down. Nyx laughs as Tredd protests from the kitchen. Tredd’s love for almost burnt food and too much spice even by Galahdian standards is well know in their group of friends.
“We wouldn’t dare,” Nyx promises, eyes crinkling with a smile, “Now rest.”
-
Ace wakes up again to find his Uncle sitting on the floor beside in front of the couch and he can’t help the smile that comes to his face at the sight.
“Nobody burned down the apartment,” Ardyn says, gold eyes fond as he glances at Ace, “I suppose you taught them better than that.”
“I didn’t teach them anything,” Ace disagrees, “They’re all good people.”
“Because you gave them a chance,” Ardyn says, “Because you offered them a home.”
Ace thinks of the traitors they could have been and his heart aches.
“A single action can change anything,” Ace says and grins tiredly at Ardyn, “It did for me.”

Book One: Gold (Prompto x Reader) Chapter V
Once back in Lestallum, the group reported to Talcott and Jared about their finds. As they were about to leave the Leville, Noctis experiences another headache. In order to dissect the source of his headaches, they decided to take a closer look at the Disc of Cauthess from the outlook. When they arrived, they ran into two familiar faces.
"What a coincidence," the auburn-haired man smiled eerily at the group.
Gladio crosses his arms. "I'm not so sure it is."
The man strolled up to them, leaving his spiky-haired companion behind. He came to a stop in front of (Y/n). "Oh, my. You must be the lovely maiden my dear companion spoke of. A pleasure to meet your acquaintance, my dear." He bowed politely before trying to reach out and grab her hand. However, Prompto reached out and pulled the girl away from him before the man could touch her.
"You know this guy?" The spirit whispered to the blonde.
"We kinda had a run-in with him in Galdin Quay," Prompto answered.
The auburn-haired man was unfazed by the marksman's reaction and decided to back away, changing the subject in the process. "Aren't nursery rhymes curious things? Like this one: "From the deep, the Archaean calls... Yet on deaf ears, the gods' tongue falls, The King made to kneel, in pain, he crawls.""
Prompto, who now stood in front of (Y/n), asked, "So how do we keep him on his feet?"
"You need only heed the call. Visit the Archaean and hear his plea." He spun around to face them, his smile never wavering. "We can take you."
Prompto looked around at his friends. "We in?"
Noctis was unsure of the men and didn't trust either of them. "I don't know."
"We take a ride..." The sharpshooter began.
"...but watch our backs," Gladio finished.
"Fair enough," Ignis said.
Noctis agreed with his friends. "Let's do it."
(Y/n) hadn't been paying attention to their conversation. Her golden eyes were focused on the familiar spiky-haired man who she had met yesterday. She never got his name, but there's no way she could forget his appearance. She was torn from her thoughts when Prompto shook her shoulder. Looking away from the emerald-eyed man, she stared into the blonde's cerulean eyes. "Huh?"
"You okay?" Prompto asked. He glanced at the man who had yet to speak, then back at the girl. "Isn't that the guy from yesterday?"
"It is..." She was even more suspicious of him than the auburn-haired man. She didn't trust either of them, but respected the boys' decision to allow them to be their escort for a short time.
The auburn-haired man smiles and begins walking toward the car park with his companion by his side. "I'm not one to stand on ceremony, but such an occasion calls for an introduction. Please, call me "Ardyn." And this..." He gestures to the man beside him. "Is Callyx. He's a dear old friend of mine. Come with us to the car park. That's where I left my automobile. She's a dear old thing. Pales next to your Regalia, but she's never let me down. So we take two vehicles-a convoy of sorts. Shall we?"
When arriving at Ardyn's car, the auburn-haired man turned to face the group. "All set?"
"Let's get this over with," Noctis sighed.
"Allow me to do the honor of assigning your driver... I choose you!" Ardyn pointed at the raven-haired boy.
"Fine by me."
"I do have one final request," Callyx spoke up with his smooth voice. His emerald eyes focused on (Y/n). "Your car will be cramped with five people. The lady should ride with us."
"No way!" Prompto shouted. "(Y/n)'s staying with us."
"Yeah. We're not gonna let her go with you two," Noctis replied.
"I only wish to speak with her on our drive over to the Disc." Callyx lifted his t-shirt up a little ways to reveal the jade gemstone embedded in his abdomen.
The spirit gasped at the sight. "You're a guardian, too?"
He nodded. "Yeah."
"But your eyes..."
He smirked. "Contacts."
"Oh..."
He took a step closer to her, alerting the royal retinue. Prompto went to pull the girl back when Noctis moved to stand between the two spirits. Callyx noticed how tense the four boys were and raised his hands in surrender. "I'm not going to hurt her. There's something important I have to discuss with her."
"Then do it here and now," Gladio said with a faint growl.
(Y/n) broke free from Prompto's hold and stepped around Noctis to stand directly in front of Callyx. "What's so important that they can't hear it but your friend can?"
"Because I trust him and not your friends. If you don't ride with us, you'll never learn the truth about what the empire is planning."
Her mouth opened and closed. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't think of anything. If the information is important and the only cost was riding in their car, she would do it. "Fine. I'll ride with you."
"What?" Prompto gasped.
She casted a reassuring smile towards the blonde. "I'll be fine, Prom. If we can learn what the empire is doing, I'll ride with them."
"Are you certain of your decision, (Y/n)?" Ignis asked.
"Yes."
"B-But..." Prompto began.
Ardyn, however, interrupted him. "You drive your car, I drive mine, and the maiden comes with Callyx and I. With that decided, let us be off."
Prompto stared in shock, watching (Y/n) climb into the backseat of the red car alongside Callyx. He bit his tongue, deciding to hold himself back after seeing her resolve. Reluctantly, he got into the Regalia with his friends. Like a child, he pouted as he watched the red car leave the parking lot.
Outside of Lestallum, the two automobiles sat side by side. Ardyn glanced toward the boys inside the Regalia. "Just to be clear, this isn't a race, it is a chase. You're not to pass me. Lose sight of me, and you'll lose your way. And no tailgating. An accident would spoil the trip."
Noctis, who was behind the wheel, groaned. "All right, all right. Let's hit the road already."
"As you wish. Drive safely, now."
(Y/n) casted Prompto one last smile before they took off. After being a few minutes on the road, she looked over at her fellow spirit. "So, Callyx, what did you wanna tell me?"
The emerald-eyed man glanced at Ardyn for a split second before sighing. "How familiar are you with the conduit?"
"The first time I heard about it was from Noctis. Besides that, I know nothing about it."
"Well then, I guess an explanation is in order." Callyx combed a hand through his spiky black hair. "Centuries ago, there used to be seven Astrals. But all that changed when the seventh god disappeared. No one knows why and most of Eos has forgotten about him. The mighty Brahma, the creator of the universe, vanished without a trace. However, the conduit is rumored to be the only person who can hear and speak to Brahma. They are also the person the Astral has chosen to embody his power and act as his vessel in order to aid the True King."
"And what does this have to do with the empire?" (Y/n) inquired.
"The only beings possible of being the conduit are spirits. Humans are frail and unable to embody the power of an Astral. Our people are being targeted by the empire. They're slaughtering guardians left and right to prevent Brahma's return. I'm only telling you this because you need to know how much danger you are in. If you want to protect yourself, you need to find a safe place to hide. Leave those men and find a place to-"
"Oh, I don't think so," (Y/n) interrupted him. "Have you forgotten? Guardians are meant to protect those that gave them life. There's no way I'm going to leave Prompto to save my own skin. I care too much about him to leave him behind."
"You wouldn't be the first spirit to latch on to a human..." Callyx crossed his legs. "Then again, by the look on that boy's face, you mean a lot to him. Guess I'm kind of jealous."
"Is that all you wanted to tell me?" She sighed.
"Yeah..."
The conversation died. (Y/n) rested her arm on the door, cupping her chin with her palm. She glanced out at the passing scenery, admiring it to distract her from the two men in the car with her. She prayed to the Astrals this road trip would end soon.
A little ways behind the red vehicle was the Regalia. Noctis kept a good distance between them and Ardyn's car to prevent an accident. While the prince, Gladio, and Ignis were chatting away about the two mysterious men, Prompto stared at the car in front of them. His fingers tapped against his knee repeatedly, his leg shaking up and down. His right arm rested on top of the car door with his hand clenched in a fist and resting against his cheek.
When Gladio noticed the blonde's lengthy silence, he glanced at him. Seeing the sharpshooter's gaze locked on the car in front of them, he chuckled. "You that worried, blondie?"
"Of course I am!" Prompto yelled. "(Y/n)'s in a car with two weirdos! Not to mention, one of those weirdos tried to hit on her yesterday!"
"You're freaking out over nothing."
"Wha-no!"
"By the way (Y/n) carried herself in the grotto, I do believe she is quite capable of handling anything or anyone who dares cross her path," Ignis stated.
"I know she's strong, but that doesn't stop me from worrying about her..." Prompto muttered. He managed to look away from the car they were following and pulled out his camera. He scrolled through the various pictures he's taken of (Y/n) so far, admiring her beauty from every angle.
After spending 15 minutes scrolling through pictures, Prompto lifted his head and realized they were pulling over. He glanced around in confusion as they pulled into the Cauthess Coernix Station.
Noctis pulled the Regalia up beside Ardyn's car just as the man got out and asked, "What say we call it a day here?"
""What say" we continue on to Cauthess?" Gladio retorted as he and the other boys climbed out of the Regalia.
"The Archaean's not going anywhere."
"Neither are we, under your stewardship," Ignis replied.
"So we make camp...with Ardyn," Prompto groaned.
"Hell no," Noctis quipped.
"Might as well get the tent up," Gladio said.
Oh, I'm afraid Callyx and I have never really been ones for the outdoors. We shall foot the bill, so let us stay at the caravan over yonder," Ardyn stated.
(Y/n) turned her head towards the male spirit standing beside her. "You're a hunter. Don't you camp out a lot?"
"Yeah, but it doesn't mean I enjoy it," Callyx explained.
"That's... Okay, yeah. Good point."
"Will all of us even fit in the caravan?" Noctis asked.
"Only one way to find out," Ardyn smirked before walking off with his friend.
Once Ardyn and Callyx were gone, (Y/n) sauntered over to the boys. She placed a hand on her hip with a frown. "Can we talk somewhere in private?"
"Oh, no," Prompto gasped. He rushed over to the (h/c)-haired girl and grabbed her arms, shaking her back and forth. "What did they do to you?! Tell me, (Y/n)!"
"H-Hey, take it easy, Prom. They didn't do anything to me." She grabbed his arms to stop him from shaking her. "I just wanted to share with you all what Callyx had to say."
"Then shall we make for the caravan?" Ignis suggested.
"That'd be good."
They entered the caravan. Noctis and Prompto sat on the small wooden bench while Gladio and Ignis decided to stand. (Y/n) closed the door behind them and leaned against it. Wishing not to beat around the bush, she jumped straight to the point. "The empire's hunting down spirits and killing them."
"What?" Ignis gaped in shock.
"What do they hope to gain from that?" Gladio inquired.
"This conduit you heard about from the marshal... It can only be a guardian. Whoever this conduit is has the ability to hear and speak to the forgotten Astral and act as his vessel," she said. "By killing spirits, the empire hopes to stop Brahma from returning."
"Hold up," Noctis spoke up. "There's another Astral?"
"Brahma, the creator of the universe. He's known as the forgotten Astral. Not many know about him, but apparently the empire does."
"Can we really trust this information?" Gladio questioned.
"I...I'm not sure," she confessed. "I don't trust Callyx, but he genuinely looked worried about it when he spoke to me."
"If he is telling the truth, does that mean...?" Prompto gazed at the girl, worried for her safety. "Does that mean the empire will try to kill you?"
"Well..."
Noctis stood up. "Let them come. They're already crawling up our asses anyway."
"What more could they possibly do?" Ignis asked.
"We'll deal with any imperial bastards that cross our path just like we always do," Gladio claimed.
"Yeah!" Prompto cheered. "All of us are a team."
"Team?" (Y/n) parroted.
"Unless you wish not to be," Ignis stated.
"No, it's just..." She rubbed a hand up and down her arm. "I never expected you three to accept me so easily."
"We were all skeptical at first, but you proved yourself in the cave. I thought our whole groove would've been messed up with you around, but you proved me wrong." Gladio patted her on the shoulder. "You fit right in, short stuff."
"Sh-Short stuff...?" She glanced around at the boys before examining her appearance. "Am I really that short?"
"Well... Yeah," Prompto answered. "B-But that's okay!"
She looked away, unamused. "Ugh..."
(Y/n) excused herself and left the caravan. She wandered towards the rear of the convenience store before setting her gaze on the Celestial Crescent. She tilted her head in curiosity when hearing a faint mumbling.
...ui...
She blinked in shock when she could make out a portion of what the voice was saying. "I'm going crazy..."
"What're you talking about?"
(Y/n) tore her gaze away from the darkening sky and looked at Callyx, deciding to lie. "It's nothing, really. I thought the colors of the Celestial Crescent were changing for a second, but my mind was playing tricks on me." She didn't trust him even after he shared information about the empire.
Callyx took a quick glance at the sky before looking at the (h/c)-haired girl, his hands hidden behind his back. "Do you ever hear voices whenever you gaze upon the Celestial Crescent?"
"If you mean the voices in my head, then yes."
Callyx chortled. "That's not what I meant."
She put on a friendly façade. "I know. I'm just messing with you. To answer your question-no, I don't hear voices. Am I supposed to?"
He shook his head. "Not unless you're the conduit. Brahma's consciousness resides within those cluster of stars. He searches for the perfect vessel to regain his physical body, only speaking to the spirit he deems worthy."
"Do we have any idea what'll happen to the conduit once Brahma takes control of their body?"
"Who knows? Maybe they become an empty shell, maybe there are no side effects whatsoever." Callyx suddenly outstretched one of his hands to touch her shoulder, but he stopped mid-way when a familiar bubbly blonde came bounding over calling the girl's name. "Guess I'll give you two some time alone."
Prompto eyed Callyx suspiciously as he walked past him. When he was out of sight, he walked up to (Y/n). "I was kinda getting worried when you didn't come back. Everything okay, (Y/n)?"
"Mhmm," she hummed with a smile. "Everything's peachy."
"I thought you might've been worried about this whole conduit thing. I mean, it is kinda scary the empire is going around and just killing spirits. Are you sure you're doing okay?"
"Really, I'm fine. No need to worry, Prom."
Suddenly, Prompto wound his arms around her and hugged her tightly. He pressed his cheek against her (h/c) hair, frowning sorrowfully. "Y'know, you might be a better liar than me, but I can tell when you're really worried about something, (Y/n). You scrunch up your nose and furrow your brows. I find it kinda...cute."
She sighed, burying her face into his chest. She wound her arms around his torso and mumbled, "I am scared. Scared for my people, scared for me. There aren't many of us, which makes it even more frightening. I'm also scared I'm putting you and the others in even more danger."
Prompto hugged her smaller frame as tight as he could without hurting her. "Hey, don't worry 'bout us. We can handle ourselves. There's no way the empire could defeat us! And..." He nuzzled his nose in her hair, inhaling her gentle scent. "I-We won't let anything happen to you. I know you're supposed to be the one protecting me, but I wanna protect you too. If you were to vanish, I...I wouldn't know what to do."
A warm, gentle smile blossomed on the spirit's face. "I'll never disappear, Prom. Whenever you need me, I'll be there. Even when you don't need me, I'll be by your side. You're stuck with me forever."
Prompto smiled widely. "I wouldn't have it any other way." He fell silent for a moment before clearing his throat, arms remaining tightly wound around (Y/n). "Hey, u-um... After we're done with this Disc business, there's something really important I wanna tell you."
"You can't tell me now?" She inquired.
"Of course not! It's, uh...really important, but I still need a day to...come up with the right words. Think you can wait?"
"Do I really have any other choice?"
"Nope."

alyss-spazz-penedo
If. If she's Iggy's MOM, does that mean him and Prompto are raised as siblings/cousins? Megara brings Iggy along when she has to Braincell "Uncle Verstael" bc she's not leaving a baby alone at home and unfortunately Science(TM) waits for nothing, least of all common sense. On Prompto's side, Glaucus was NOT prepared when Besithia whipped up a baby for him and has only a passing idea how to parent, so those first few months especially were full of panicked back-and-forth
alyss-spazz-penedo
with the only baby-worthy member or his Retinue, and chibi!Ignis was a great help in babysitting lil Prompto. Later, when Prompto comes to visit Science Dad, he and Ignis also get to hang out and stuff.
alyss-spazz-penedo
....wait, if she's the mom, who's the DAD? Bc for Ignis to take his mother's name, presumably the father isn't in the picture or they never got married. Or is also... named... Scientia? (If the dad is LITERALLY ANY MEMBER OF GLAUCUS' RETINUE, I might die of laughter. Or secondhand embarrassment.)
Me: .... well considering I really like the idea of her being Iggy’s mom let’s roll with this hypothesis. XDD.
... Yes, yes they WOULD. Actually Megara does not have bby Iggy when she is unceremoniously recruited, since Iggy is only two years older than Noct and she’s recruited at some point before Regis’s canonical road trip. But she DOES have bby Iggy eventually and two year old Iggy is thrilled to watch over tiny bby Prompto with his Mama while Glaucus has a Crisis in the corner. Glaucus is so, SO grateful for Megara’s presence in his life after Prompto happens because on one hand YAY PROMPTO LIVES on the other I HAVE A BABY WHAT DO I DO WITH IT. Megara, who has lived with these clowns for years by this point, doesn’t even bat an eye at the fact that Besithia MADE A BABY and that Glaucus has insta adopted him and is just like “this is your feeding schedule this is your optimal sleep schedule this is how you change a diaper thi-” While Ardyn coos in the background because he adores kids with every fiber of his blackened soul.
Also this means Ignis is also a tiny Mad Science bby, because Obviously Ignis, as a little prodigy that he is, is going to take an interest in anything that interests his bby cousin Prompto and science is a challenge to him. He’s not as much of a science nerd as Prompto, especially not after he’s introduced to bby Noctis and his brain kicks fully over into Mom Mode but he definitely knows enough to get by and chime in when Prompto goes on a tangent.
I have yet to decide who the dad is. If the dad is not a one-night stand, then the dad either takes his wife’s name (because mafia boss wife trumps patriarchy) or-
And hear me out.
Besithia is the dad.
NOT IN THE WAY YOU THINK.
But like- think of the glorious chaos, of Glaucus’s MELTDOWN if, while he’s off somewhere doing his saving the world business and it’s just Megara and Besithia and suddenly Besithia’s lab time is interrupted with Scientia coming in and going, “I want a baby.”
And Besithia very, very slowly sets down his lab tools and ....
Stares at her.
In a quiet befuddled sort of way that indicates he thinks he misheard her but cannot for the life of him come up with an alternate version of what she might have really said.
And she crosses her arms and repeats, “I want. A baby. Of my own.”
Besithia squints, because they’ve known each other for years at this point and he KNOWS she knows Glaucus’s rules on the Cloning Of Human Beings and that she is also not interested in any of the group sexually because they’re basically all her pet idiots, “...I’m fairly certain there are websites for that,” Besithia says slowly.
And the queen of the underworld rolls her eyes, “I do not want to spend the next two or three years dating a male who may or may not work out as a husband, not with the complications of my ‘job’. Nor do I feel like risking a one-night stand or fling, especially not with the people who know of my work.”
Besithia continues to squint, but there is an idea sparking in his eyes, a glimmer of understanding for what she wants, “I can’t clone babies. It’s against the Rules.”
“No, but I am a perfectly functional woman and there are known, legal medical procedures for this. I’m just coming to you rather than a hospital because I don’t want news to get out to the underworld. I’d rather they run themselves in circles trying to figure out who the father is. It will keep them busy.”
Besithia fully turns around in his swivel chair and props his chin on his hands, “If Glaucus finds out about this, you’re taking the blame.”
“Agreed.”
“And I’m going to need time to get the equipment and an adequate male sample.”
“Understood.”
Besithia nods slowly, an manic look blooming that would have disturbed her years ago but now is just normal to her mind, “Any preferences on the donor’s appearance?”
“I like green eyes.”
“Noted.”
And so she wanders off and Besithia gets equipment and bribes someone at a proper hospital for the things he needs and by the time Glaucus checks in from wherever he’s been, Megara is in like- her second trimester and the underworld is losing its mind trying to figure out who the dad is (because if the dad is Glaucus then they are all screwed and they know it). And Glaucus stiffens, mentally checks his calendar, then slowly relaxes because ah yes, Ignis. Then a moment later he’s confused, because who’s the father?
And Megara looks perfectly calm and blasé as she answers, “I don’t know, ask Besithia, he’s the one who picked out the sample. Though it was my idea so don’t be too upset with him.”
And far away in another part of the city Besithia gets a chill up his spine and swears he can already hear Glaucus screeching his name.
That doesn’t stop him from accidentally creating bby Prompto 2 years later but hey.

Noctis
Would help you cover your back if you want,
Like wrapping himself around you if you were in a bathing suit.
But he loves every inch of you.
He won’t force you out of your comfort zone,
But it does hurt him to watch you sometimes.
Wants you to see how beautiful you are,
But he knows that won’t happen until you’re ready.
Prompto
Goes shirtless first.
Tries to make fun of himself so that you feel better.
If that doesn’t work, he tries other “fun” methods.
Might steal your towel or shirt,
Compliments you nonstop.
He just wants to see you smile.
If you tell him to stop,
He will.
And he’ll apologize profusely.
His coping mechanism is to make things fun,
And that’s how he tries to make you feel better.
Ignis
So tender, so loving.
He kisses your back
And all down your arms,
Every time he sees you start closing down.
Tells you that he loves them because he loves you.
You are a masterpiece of art: an ever changing being with a picture created by the gods on your skin.
He really is a flatterer.
Gladio
You are his night sky.
Traces constellations on your skin.
May name new ones and keep them to himself.
Light fingers running over your skin.
He smiles and tells you that it’s alright if you want to change,
But he loves you the way you are.
Ravus
Doesn’t know what to say to you.
Hates the way you treat yourself, though.
When you start closing down,
He flinches and pulls you close,
Kissing you hard.
“You are the image of perfection the way you are.”
Luna
Understands better than anyone else.
Runs soft fingers between freckles, all over your skin.
She’ll treat you tenderly,
Even if you won’t treat yourself that way.
“The radiance of the stars is painted on your skin. You are MY starlight.”
Nyx
Gets frustrated by how you see yourself.
Wants to show you off.
Tries to convince you that no one else minds your freckles.
But that really doesn’ work.
Finally, he has an idea.
You come home one night,
He’s waiting at the door with a blindfold.
Everything is romantic and fun as he puts it on you and leads you inside.
As you are lead through your home, he starts to speak:
“You know you’re my everything. You’re intelligent, funny, and beautiful.
I know it’s hard for you to see that, though. So I want to help. On Galahd we had a saying, ‘flowers bloom together.’ It means that flowers all bloom at the same time and that they need each other to bloom, so I wanted to show you other flowers.”
He takes the blind fold off to reveal a homemade art gallery.
He’s found pictures and artwork of other people,
That now adorns your walls.
Works showing the beauty of a variety of skin types.
From freckles, vitiligo, scars, eczema, and many more.
Before you are pictures of people like you.
People that are beautiful, are living their lives, are represented in ways only celebrities were before.
Nyx isn’t sure if this is what you needed,
But he wanted to show you a garden of wonder,
One that you are a part of.
Ardyn
Is not ok with how you treat yourself.
No one treats his love like that,
Even them.
But he just can’t convince you that you’re beautiful!
So he goes back to his roots.
He’ll find stories to help you feel better,
Like birthmarks being scars from your past life.
He weaves a tale just for you:
You are the reincarnation of one of the minor gods: Heaven’s Painter.
This god was tasked with painting the night sky over Eos.
Your past self painted ideas for the heavens they had on their skin.
Places where they wanted to put stars, constellations they could have created.
But they died before they could complete their work.
Now, you are here, a picture of the god that once lived.
Your freckles are what remains of astral paint and how the heavens could have looked.
A being with more beauty than even the night sky could hold.
While the story may seem far fetched,
You love’s words are filled with sincerity.
Because to Ardyn,
You are simply divine.

Static Radio - Whumptober 2020 Fic
Entry number 13 and 21 for Whumptober 2020: Breathe In Breathe Out and I Don’t Feel So Well/Chronic Pain
Title: Static Radio Fandom: Final Fantasy XV Pairing: Prompto/Noctis Rating: T Trigger Warnings: Major character death, coughing up blood Summary: After Noctis defeated Ardyn and took the throne, Insonima has been working hard to build itself back up. There is always work to do for everyone, from citizen to Crownsguard. Trying to be the king of a kingdom in ruins was a hard task, a busy task, which is why Prompto couldn't really catch his best friend to talk to him in private. To tell the now-king that his best friend was dying.
Cross posted to Ao3
Prompto hunched over in a corner of the Citadel, covering his mouth with his elbow as he coughed loudly, the force causing his entire body to shake. He was already running late for the meeting he was supposed to attend and this wasn’t helping. After the second round of lung-scarring coughs wracked through his chest, he took a moment to try and compose himself. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve, purposefully ignoring the dark red stain that was now setting into his jacket. His jacket was black so no one would notice. After forcing himself to breathe normally he straightened his clothes and went back to panicking about running late.
“When are you planning to tell Noctis?” Prompto was rudely awoken from his daydreaming by Ignis’s soft tone. He blinked, looking around the meeting room. Everyone was filling out already so clearly he’d checked out and missed the last half hour of the meeting. And now it was just him and the advisor leaning against the desk in front of him.
“Tell him...what? Exactly?” Prompto knew he was playing dumb and it would get him absolutely nowhere. If anyone could figure out what was going on with literally no information, it would be Ignis. The older man let the tension hang between them, a silent sigh.
“About your condition. This has already been going on for months. You’re on a strict timeline.” The blond wanted to frown. Some day, just once in his life, he wanted Ignis to be wrong about something. But, as always, he somehow put together all the pieces of a puzzle that no one else seemed to even notice was there just yet. How a blind man managed to figure out something was physically wrong with him was completely beyond his comprehension but he knew better than to try and figure it out. Ignis could do anything he wanted it by stubbornness alone.
“I’ll tell him. Just, the right time hasn’t come up yet. Don’t worry about it.”
“How could I not worry? It is none of my business but Prompto…”
“I know, I’ll tell Noct. Just, gimmie some time.” Prompto knew time was the one thing he didn’t have. And clearly, the advisor knew it as well but he said no more. With a small nod, Ignis excused himself, leaving behind enough doubt in his wake that it didn’t even seem like he left. He was right (he was always right). Time was running out if he was going to tell Noctis. But how did one tell their best friend they were dying?
Normally Prompto would spend his afternoon training, working, taking pictures, or maybe going out drinking. There was a lot left to do to rebuild Insomnia and even the rest of the continent beyond that. But today wasn’t one of those days. Instead, he just went home, half collapsing onto his bed, still in his jacket and shoes. His home was little more than an apartment with a bed, shower, and a fridge but he really didn’t need anything else. Especially not now. Not when every bone in his body felt like it was shattering to pieces under his skin.
By the time he hit the mattress he was so exhausted that he wasn’t sure if he could even shift into a better position. Every day was getting harder and harder. It hurt to walk, sit, stand, breathe, exist. He was good at hiding it, of course, hiding things was the one thing that Prompto had managed to completely master. Hiding his feelings, hiding his pain. He didn’t want anyone else to worry. But now the pain had transitioned into something a whole lot worse. Thinking of it seemed to remind his body that his lungs were still in his chest and he rolled onto his knees, a sudden string of coughs ripping through his lungs. Since no one was watching he didn’t bother to hide, Prompto just let the blood splatter onto his mattress.
Once the forceful need to cough had finally faded he ended up coughing more, blood clogging his throat. Ignis was right, he was running out of time. He’d already tried potions and magic, nothing made it any better, nothing took the pain away. Prompto even knew why, he just pretended that he didn’t. He wasn’t wounded or ill, he was breaking down. Magitek soldiers weren’t cloned to live long lives. They were supposed to be created and then demonized so quickly it didn’t matter how long their bodies could survive. He was just reaching the end of his shelf life.
Even for Prompto, who had retained best friend status even through ten years of separation, it was hard to get time with Noctis alone. There was always something. And no one could blame him for that. He was rebuilding an entire kingdom, one brick at a time. So when Noctis was running late he couldn’t really hold it against his friend. Instead, he just waited, watching. He’d chosen to meet at the fountain, a landmark for most people, but to them it was special. As teenagers they’d spent a lot of time here, goofing off, talking about school, talking about life. It was where Nocits told him about his marriage to Luna; it was where he told Noctis about how lonely he was sometimes, jealous, that Noctis had so many people who loved him. It seemed like a fitting place to talk.
While he was sitting there, just watching people walk by, a piece of trash was blown by the wind. It hit the gunman in the face who let out a huff, grabbing the plastic with a little more force than necessary. It was an empty chip bag. He almost yelled about people littering a city they were still putting back together when he noticed the bottom of the bag. It had a date stamped on it, the best by date. Prompto ‘hmmed’ under his breath. He was no different from a mass-produced bag of chips. Except he was sticking around way past his best by date.
“Sorry I’m late, what did you want to talk about? I hope it’s qu...Prompto? Are you okay?” Noctis hurried up to his friend, the tone of his voice trailing from rushed to worried. He’d know that whatever Prompto wanted to talk about was serious, he wouldn’t have suggested meeting at the fountain otherwise, but there was clearly something wrong. He looked pale, haggard, in a way that the king had never seen before. And he’d seen his friend chased by daemons, climbing a mountain, running for his life, and kidnapped and tortured by Ardyn.
The blond let out a heavy sigh before lifting his head and smiling at his friend, even if it didn’t meet his eyes. He tossed the empty bag over his shoulder, letting the wind carry it away.
“I’m fine.” The lie deflated before it even left his mouth. “Okay, I’m not exactly fine. But that’s why I wanted to talk. Um…” He bit down on his lip, trying to sort out of how to say this. He should have decided that ahead of time but good ideas were never his strong suit.
“Ya know how when stuff gets mass produced it’s not necessarily very high quality?” Prompto offered what seemed like a change of subject. Noctis slowly walked over and sat next to him on the edge of the fountain. Just like when they were in high school.
“Yeah. Prompto…”
“Well, if you remember, I um. I kinda…” Blue eyes looked up and met the king’s looking back at him. He wanted to just leave off there, let the rest stay unsaid. The look, the pity in Noctis’s eyes said that he knew where this was going, he understood. But he didn’t stop Prompto, he let him continue. He wanted him to continue. He needed to head the words.
“I’m dying, Noct. I’m breaking down. It’s been over a year and it’s just getting, well, bad. Like real bad. And I-” Prompto felt himself get cut off by a sensation against his mouth. It took his brain much too long to register that he was no longer talking because he was being kissed. It took even longer for his brain to catch up on why this was such a bad idea, but he ignored that part of his inner monologue and just kissed back.
“I’m not going to let you die.” Nocits spoke but Prompto barely heard it through the blood rushing by his ears. He could still feel the cool lips against his, the scratch of Noctis’s stumble against his cheek.
“We, you, um, what just happened?” The gunman looked around, almost expecting someone to jump out with a video camera. But nothing happened. A few passers-by were giving him an indecipherable look but that much was to be expected. The king had just kissed him. Suddenly. In public.
“Prompto.” Noctis took one of his hands, intertwining their fingers like lovesick teenagers. “I’m not going to let you die. I want to know why you didn’t tell me before but I’m sure you had your reasons. I’m going to fight tooth and nail for you, you know that. So come on. I’m sure we can figure something out.”
For a few short seconds Prompto just blinked. He’d thought about this conversation all night. He’d planned out what to say, not that he’d remembered any of his plans once he started talking, and he had tried to prepare himself for Noct’s response. He was prepared for sadness, anger, disappointment. Not for a kiss. Not for the king to look him in the eyes and promise to try and find a way to help him.
“Noct, I mean, um, thanks?” He couldn’t help but smile. It didn’t matter how much it hurt, how much he spent every day wanted nothing more than for it to end because then he could go back to bed, none of that mattered. Not compared to this. To Noct smiling at him, holding on just tight enough that it said ‘I’m not letting go’.
Just as Prompto stood up so they could walk back to the Citadel together he felt it. The familiar tickle. It started as nothing more than an annoyance but blossomed into a full-blown need in only a few seconds. He pulled his hand away from the king’s long enough to cover his mouth as he started to cough, hacking loudly as his entire body trembled with each breath. He felt droplets of blood splatter across his fingers as black dots started to appear in his vision. He couldn’t stop coughing.
“Come on Prom, you’re okay. Come on, breathe!” Noctis helped him kneel on the ground, his entire world out of focus. All he could pay attention to was the burn in his chest and the wet droplets against his hands. He had to hold on, just a little bit longer. He wasn’t going to let himself die, not after Noctis, not after he realized that he might actually have a chance.
“Come on, Prom, breathe. You’re okay just keep breathing. We need help, can someone get us help!” Noctis yelled to the people around them, a few of which were quickly running off. Hopefully to get someone. The king felt his friend fading in his arms. He was coughing less and less, but not because he didn’t need to, but because he was passing out.
“Prompto!” Noctis lifted the other man in his arms, just as he saw some of the new Crownsguard rushing over. Maybe they couldn’t save him just yet, but if they could just keep him alive then they would have time. They just needed more time.

Nature’s Balance (Ardyn x OC) Chapter 2
Vedrixia leaned against the Regalia in the blistering Liede heat. The car had broken down just a short while into their journey. Each member of the retinue looked as if they would soon melt into the interior of the Regalia, or in Prompto’s case, the tar of the road.
Gladio sighed as the fifth vehicle passed by without stopping, “I think we can forget about hitching our way there. Thought people were friendly outside the city.”
Piping up from the driver’s seat, “You can only go so far on the kindness of strangers,” Ignis said.
Vendrixia shed another layer of her Kingsglaive uniform, “Well, we’re going to have to figure something out before we all have to take a potion to save us from heat stroke.” She threw an arm across her eyes, attempting to block out some of the sunlight.
“Looks like we’re just gonna have to push her all the way,” said Gladio with a slightly revived energy.
“But I’ve already pushed myself,” Prompto began with an air of theatrics. “To the brink… of death!”
Vedrixia nudged his shoulder with the toe of her boot, popping off the back of the car, “Come on, up with you. The sooner we get this thing rolling the sooner we can get to some air conditioning.”
With that, Prompto was quickly on his feet.
“You too, Your Highness.”
Noctis merely grumbled, inciting Gladio to use a bit more force with the young prince.
He slapped him on the back, “Oh, get up.”
The four of them began pushing the Regalia with Ignis in the driver’s seat and the boys quickly began their usual banter.
“Let’s hope this isn’t some kind of omen.”
“Gladio, do me a favor,” the young prince said.
“What?”
“Push this thing by yourself.”
“All by myself?” He continued as Vedrixia chuckled quietly.
“You won’t even notice if we just let go,” Prompto chimed in. “Besides, my hands are killing me.”
“You rather I kill you with mine?” Gladio quickly retorted.
Vedrixia felt like the tension was getting to be a bit too much, “Hey now, you had better not get any blood on my boots. I just polished these so if you’re going to have a quick lesson in natural selection, I suggest you take it to the side of the road.”
“I concur,” Ignis commented from the front. “Cor did just send the Regalia to be waxed and surely would not appreciate and blood spilled on her.”
Noctis and Prompto both groaned.
This was going to be a long trip.
~~~
Finally making it to Hammerhead, each member of the party was thoroughly exhausted. Ignis and Gladio were both stretching their legs, walking around the Regalia while Prompto and Prince Noctis laid haphazardly on the ground. Vendrixia, on the other hand, was sprawled out in the backseat of the Regalia with her feet propped up against the passenger door.
“Hey there!” A high pitch, accented voice sounded from outside the vehicle. Vedrixia raised her head just in time to see Prompto stumbling to his feet. He looked as though he had never seen anyone of the female gender before. “Y’all sure kept a girl waitin’!”
The barely-clothed blonde glanced around their group, “Now which one’s the Prince?”
Noctis popped up from the other side of the Regalia behind Vedrixia’s head as she took her cue to straighten up and exit the vehicle.
“A-ha! Hello, your Highness!” The blonde said, popping a hip out. “Congrats on your wedding!”
“Not hitched just yet,” Noctis replied, scratching the back of his head.
“Lady Lunafreya’s groom-to-be, here in Hammerhead,” She said in awe.
Ignis joined in the conversation, “Apologies for taking so long.”
“You’d best be savin’ your apologies for Paw-Paw,” She said seriously.
Gladio rounded the car, “Well that makes you…”
“Cindy,” Finally, a name, Vedrixia thought. “Cid’s grease-monkey granddaughter.”
A crackling voice sounded from within the shop, “Roll ‘er in while I’m still young!”
“I suspect that’s Cid?” Drix asked Cindy. She gave a hum and nod of her head.
Cindy’s aging grandfather made his way to the group, “Didn’t yer daddy tell ya? She’s a custom classic, not some beat up ol' clunker.” His expression was enthralled in reminiscence and nostalgia. Cid’s gaze shifted to the young man, “Prince Noctis.”
“Uh, yeah.”
Vedrixia scoffed at the boy and crossed her arms. The lack of respect the young prince could exhibit was astounding to the Glaive. She had received many slaps to the back of the head from Cor due to ill-timed sass in her youth. Being seven years older than the prince, she knew he had a lot to learn in a very short amount of time.
“Prince,” Cid shook his head, indignant. “Like they took your old man and kicked the dignity out of him.”
That certainly caught the Prince’s attention. “What?”
“You got a long way to go, son,” Cid began grimly. “And that slack jaw’s gettin’ you nowhere fast. She’s gonna take a while, y’all get ‘er in and run along.”
Cindy watched as her grandfather made his way back to the shop, “Y’all heard him! Let’s get moving.”
~~~
Vedrixia walked around the outpost, kicking rocks and cans. She sipped on a can of Ebony she purchased with the little gil she brought with her. Vedrixia knew she would need a caffeine boost if she was going to make it the rest of the afternoon without biting off the young prince’s head.
Vedrixia had just picked up a stick to swirl around in the dirt when- click.
Whipping around just in time to be stunned by the flash of a camera, she rubbed her eyes and soon saw shocked Prompto that knew he had been caught.
“Sorry,” Prompto laughed nervously. “I hope you don’t mind me taking your picture, Ms. Astaroth. I like to take photos on our trips for… memories… and stuff…” he trailed off, looking everywhere but Vedrixia out of embarrassment.
Vedrixia laughed lightly, “That’s alright.” She smiled warmly at him, “Your reputation with a camera has made its way around in the Kingsglaive, so I expected nothing less.”
“Oh,” He sputtered, hanging the camera back around his neck. “I didn’t know.”
Vedrixia turned her attention back to her stick and dirt, “Yep. And you can stop with the “Ms. Astaroth” deal. We’re going to be here for a while so we might as well call each other by our first names. Not to mention, it makes me feel old.” She grimaced and stuck her tongue out as if the mere thought left a bad taste in her mouth. “You can call me Vedrixia, or Drix if you prefer. And that applies to you as well, Ignis, Gladio,” she spoke louder to the two boys sitting on the bench.
“I suppose you’re right,” Ignis said, pushing up his glasses in the most dignified manner. “This has been a most inconvenient delay.”
“Yeah, and this “inconvenient delay” is making me stir crazy,” Gladio ran his hands along his face, stretching his legs out.
“I may be able to amend that shortly, I must go discuss our dwindling funds with Noctis,” Ignis said, rising to his feet.
As Ignis went to go find Noctis and Prompto busied himself with taking photographs, Gladio decided to strike up a conversation with Vedrixia.
“So, Drix,” He began, testing out the nickname. “How long have you been a member of the Glaive?”
Drix stood up to face Gladio pacing along with her stick in front of him, “Let’s see, this will make…” She drew out the word, counting in her head, “Eight years? Although I trained with Cor for four years. He wouldn’t let me join until my nineteenth birthday. Something about it being too ‘dangerous.’” She scoffed, chuckling lightly at the thought.
“Nineteen, huh? So that would make you…”
“Twenty-seven,” She answered. “I’m practically ancient!” Drix said in a dramatic voice, raising a hand to her forehead as if she might faint at any moment.
Gladio hummed in agreement as he looked away, never appearing fully engaged in the conversation.
“I don’t know why the King thought we needed a Glaive to come with us,” He said suddenly. Drix stopped her pacing, sensing the conversation was about to take a sharp turn.
She chose her next words carefully, “I don’t fully know either. Cor didn’t tell me any reason to need extra security, aside from it being the Prince’s wedding, of course.”
“Well, if Cor didn’t give you any extra reason to be here, it sounds to me like you shouldn’t be here at all.”
And there was the guard rail.
Vedrixia clenched her fist and opened it back again, shutting her eyes and breathing deeply. Don’t piss off the Guard, Cor will ream my ass. Don’t piss off the Guard, Cor will ream my ass.
After thinking over her mantra several times, Vedrixia responded, “I can assure you, Gladiolus, that while neither of us may be aware of why I am here, I can assure you the need exists, otherwise King Regis would not have requested my presence. Furthermore, I promise you that whether or not I know my reason for being here, I will perform my duties as a Kingsglaive to protect Prince Noctis to the fullest of my abilities, whether or not you find a need for me.” As her defense went along, Vedrixia had slowly begun to stand at Glaive Attention. Then, she noticed a faint golden glow coming from one of her clenched fists. Deciding she had elevated her blood pressure to the point of hallucination, Drix gave Gladio a curt nod and went to find Ignis and the Prince.

Stylish Starcourge
“Prompto!  Noct!”
Prompto lifted his head from his phone whilst Noctis stayed focused on playing King’s Knight.  Stella skidded into her twin’s bedroom, her eyes glinting with joy.
“I just saw the Chancellor of Niflheim!”
“Yeah?  I had to sit in meetings for three and a half hours yesterday with the creep staring at me from across the room.”
“Prompto,” Stella said as she ignored her brother and sat between the boys.  “His coat is so cool!  We have to borrow it for some pics!”
This made Noctis lift his head from his phone.  Prompto went pale and shook his head.
“No, Stells!” he said, and Stella pouted.  “I still have nightmares from when we stole Luna’s brother’s coat!”
“Yeah, he wasn’t very happy about that,” Noctis said as he lowered his phone.
“He was fine,” Stella scoffed.  “He thinks I have good taste.  And we had a laugh about it at breakfast.”
“Really?” Noctis raised an eyebrow.  “Ravus laughed?”
“Close to a laugh.  He wasn’t unhappy to sit next to me.  Even said the offer to go to Tenebrae was still open after the negotiations are done.”
“Yeah right, he hates us.  Can’t stand being in a room with me.”
Stella turned to Noctis.  “Maybe if you started growing up and taking these political situations seriously, he might warm up to you.  Also, it can’t hurt for you to use more dressed up words when talking.”
“First of all, you have practice pretending to be interested in boring crap and second, you want to steal the Chancellor’s coat.  Maybe you should take politics more seriously.”
“We’re getting off topic.”  Stella turned back round to Prompto.  “Come on! Please!”
“But he’s the Chancellor!  We could ruin things!”
“He’s not going to threaten to invade Insomnia because a fashion curious princess questioning her gender identity wants to try on his coat and hat,” Stella scoffed.
Prompto shook his head.  “Sorry, Stells.  I don’t want another heart attack.  I like being alive thank you very much.”
“It’ll be fine!  I literally saw him laughing at a meme twenty minutes ago.  He has a better sense of humour than Ravus.”
Prompto shook his head again and Stella turned to Noctis.
“Noct…?”
“Nope.  I would like to stay at least a hundred feet away from the weirdo.”
Stella pouted and pushed herself to her feet.  “Fine!  I will do this by myself!”
“What?!”  Both boys sat up straight.
“Stells, no!” Prompto shouted as Stella stormed out of Noctis’s room.
“STELLS, YES!” she yelled before running down the corridor.
 ---
Stalking the Chancellor wasn’t easy with Prompto and Noctis actively trying to stop her.  They knew most of the passageways in the Citadel so Stella had to be very careful in where she was going.
Things didn’t help when they told Ignis and Gladiolus of her plans. Soon, there was added security around the Chancellor just to make sure she didn’t even swipe his hat.
Needless to say, Stella was a little moody by the time four o’clock rolled around.  She was pretty stubborn, and she knew the security wouldn’t be called off until she was caught.  She was also getting a little peckish.
She was ready to give up but then…
“Gentlemen, I must say I have had a long day enjoying your company.”
Stella spied the Chancellor conversing with his bodyguards. He looked amused, glancing up at the grate she peered through.  She moved back a little, hoping she hadn’t been caught.
“But I must retire to my quarters.  Please forgive an old man, but I do need my beauty sleep.  I’m sure you understand.”
Stella’s heart skipped a beat as the security murmured their farewells and the Chancellor went into his room.  She crawled through the vent and slipped into the passageway that was right next to the bedroom.
She pressed her ear to the secret door and listened to the jovial hums inside.  A door closed and a shower was turned on.  Carefully, she pried the door open.
She grinned as she spied the coat and hat draped across the chair next to the bed.  She tiptoed across the room, snatched the garments and took off back through the passageway.
She spent a good fifteen minutes finding an abandoned corridor, shifting the surprisingly heavy coat on her shoulders.  She placed the hat on her head and took her phone out, snapping a selfie of herself.  She squealed a little as she took a few more and lowered her phone to examine the pictures.
Her smile slowly faded when she saw in the background…was the Chancellor approaching her.  She spun around and nearly dropped her phone when she saw him a few feet away from her, arms folded and an amused smile on his lips.
“Well, well,” he purred.  “It certainly suits you.”
Before Stella could speak, he took her hand and pecked the back of it.
“Ardyn Izunia,” he said with a small bow.  “At your service, Your Highness.”
Stella swallowed as he pulled away.  She took a deep breath, grinned and took the hat off.
“Stella Lucis Caelum, Chancellor,” she said as she bowed dramatically to him.  “At your service.”
Ardyn chuckled as Stella placed the hat back on her head.  He took his phone out.
“Now, I must take some pictures of you,” he said as he stepped back. “If you don’t mind.”
Stella’s eyes lit up and she nodded.
“Of course!” she exclaimed as she fell into her first pose. “It’s the least I can do for someone with impeccable fashion sense.”
Ardyn laughed again as he started taking pictures of her.  Stella spun around, bowed and tipped the hat, her smile wide and bright.  When he lowered the phone, he beckoned her closer.
“Now, a few selfies.  If you don’t mind.”
“Course,” Stella giggled as she approached him and stood next to him.
Ardyn wrapped an arm around her shoulders and took a selfie with them side by side.  Stella blinked when he kissed her head and took a selfie of the pose.
“Wonderful,” he purred as she pulled away from his grasp.  “Now, as adorable as you are in my coat, I do need it back.”
“Sure,” Stella nodded as she took the coat off and handed it to him.
“Oh, but you may keep the hat.  As a memento.  To celebrate…the beginning of a beautiful relationship.”
Stella blinked as he put his phone away, shrugged his coat on and bowed.
“It was a pleasure to meet you, Stells,” he said as he held her gaze. “I hope to see you a lot more in the future, now that we are going to be close allies.”
Stella nodded mutely as he walked away, humming under his breath. She took his hat off to look at it and smirked.  She turned on her heel and ran up to Noctis’s bedroom.
“Look what I got~!” she sung, bursting in with the hat back on her head.
Noctis, Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis turned around and stared at her with wide eyes.
“STELLS!!!”

frit, in the Hesperia!verse, is a total /troll/ - such as Ardyn can only dream of - when it comes to Iedolas. /Especially/ after it comes out that Crown Princess Imperial Heir Hesperia Ifritsdottir is /alive/.
oh absolutely. just. That’s his daughter now, Iedolas, if you touch his daughter Ifrit will murder you brutally and plunge the world into endless light.
(The sun is a flame source after all, who says Ifrit has to light night fall?)
Don’t test him, Iedolas. Don’t do it!
Ifrit is the biggest troll, and it’s with minimal coaxing he gets Hesperia to burn down Imperial bases by summoning him or even just calling flames down from the sky. Leaving just enough evidence to tell the Imperials that ‘Ifrit was here’ but not enough to convince anyone else that he was there.
(I always picture Iedolas and co. Finding out Hesperia is alive when shaky video recorded by a dying MT shows her sitting on Ifrit’s shoulder as he destroys the base around them. Before that they thought her dead, burned to ash by Ifrit’s inferno.
They were wrong.)
Ifrit voice: I am going to make them run in circles looking for us.
Hesperia: Kay, I’m gonna go and raid that bakery.
Ifrit: You do that.

Book One: Gold (Prompto x Reader) Chapter VI
The next morning, (Y/n) wandered into the convenience store. She offered to do some shopping for the boys and stock up on supplies for their dangerous trip ahead. She looked around at the items on display, wondering what all she should buy with the gil Ignis gave her. While staring at a few potions on the shelves, memories from the past filled her mind. She remembered the time when they were only 12 and Prompto was living with his adoptive parents. They didn't know about her due to the blonde keeping her hidden in the gemstone whenever they were around.
When his parents went to work one day, they left a sick Prompto behind. She took it upon herself to take care of him while they were gone. She was forced to head to a nearby store for some medicine and was gone for almost an hour due to not being familiar with human remedies. By the time she got back, he was crying. Tears were streaming down his face as he wailed at the top of his lungs. A sniffle came from him every now and then. She learned he was crying because he couldn't find her and thought she'd left him for good. The spirit reassured him before showing him what she bought at the store to help with his cold.
Suddenly, (Y/n) was torn from her thoughts when Ardyn strolled over. She tried to ignore him, but it was futile when he blocked her from grabbing some potions. She kept calm and did her best to be nice. "May I squeeze by and get some potions?"
"Why, of course." He stepped aside. "My apologies, (Y/n)."
She grabbed a few potions and elixirs, ignoring the man when she noticed he was staring at her. She headed to the counter and paid for the items, but she was once again stopped by Ardyn when he blocked the entrance of the store. She looked up at his face, seeing his somewhat unsettling smile. "What?"
"I must say, young Prompto truly is fortunate to have you by his side," he said.
Her eyes narrowed. She wasn't sure what made him say such a thing. "And what brought this up?"
"A mere observation on my part, is all." He sighed dramatically. "Oh, if only Callyx was as dedicated."
"Maybe it's not him, but you. Now if you'll excuse me..." She pushes past him to exit the convenience store and returns to the caravan. She handed the curatives to Ignis, who thanked her.
Once they were all ready to ship out, they left the caravan. Noctis begrudgingly spoke with Ardyn inside the store to tell the man they were ready to leave. Callyx told (Y/n) she no longer had to ride with them before entering the red car alongside his auburn-haired man. The girl didn't complain and sat in between Gladio and Ignis in the backseat of the Regalia. Noctis started the engine once everyone was inside the car.
Like the day before, Noctis followed a safe distance behind Ardyn's car. After leaving Cauthess Coernix Station, Gladio glanced at their destination that loomed in the distance. "Whoever thought of tapping into the Meteor's power was a genius."
Prompto glanced at the Disc. "Can you even go near that thing?"
"They harvest fragments found nearby-pieces that broke off when the Meteor fell. Almost fell, I should say, for the Archaean caught it," Ignis explained.
"And he's still there, holding the thing up," Gladio added.
"Guess he never misses leg day," Noctis commented.
"Or any day for that matter," Prompto said.
"His unceasing toil and the Meteor's might form the tenets of worship for the locals of Duscae," the advisor stated.
"Makes you wonder what it's like down there at his feet," the shield voiced his thoughts out loud.
"Speaking of gods, that Callyx guy seems to know a lot about an Astral that's supposedly forgotten," Noctis said.
"It's possible Callyx has access to ancient texts that mention Brahma. He did tell me a little more about the seventh Astral," (Y/n) chimed in. "The creator god's consciousness resides within the Celestial Crescent."
"You mean that cluster of stars you told me about?" Prompto asked.
She nodded. "Yeah. Callyx even asked me if I was hearing voices coming from it."
"Are you?" Gladio inquired.
"Well..." She clasped her hands together in her lap. "I'm...not sure. I think I hear a voice, but I can't say for certain."
"Eh, don't worry about it, (Y/n)," Prompto said. "Let's tackle one all-mighty being before worrying about another."
"Couldn't agree more," Noctis stated.
Ignis, after a couple minutes of silence, spoke up and discussed another topic. "So you know, it's hot where we're going. Will the camera fare all right?"
Prompto lifted up his camera, examining the device. "As long as I avoid open flames, it should be okay. I think."
"We don't have a spare if it breaks," Gladio said.
"Leave it in the car?" Noctis suggested.
"Oh no, I'm taking it. Not every day you get up close and personal with the Archaean. I'd kick myself if I missed the photo op," Prompto replied.
"Spoken like a true photographer," the brute remarked.
"As they say, "Better to try and fail than never to try at all"."
Noctis grinned. "Look at you."
"Well, they say that, not me," the blonde said.
"Well, you just do what you gotta."
"But in all seriousness, try not to break it. It was expensive," (Y/n) chimed in.
"I'd never break it! It's very precious to me, especially since you're the one who bought it for me," Prompto stated.
"You bought it? With what money?" Gladio questioned, glancing at the girl sitting beside him.
"I used to work in a small boutique in Insomnia. It was run by a spirit like myself. I worked hard for every yen I spent on that camera." The guardian leaned back in her seat. "She was the first spirit I met. Callyx is the second."
"Wow. Are spirits really that rare?" Noctis asked.
"Yeah. It'll take some serious dedication on the empire's part if they want to wipe out all the spirits on Eos."
The group, once again, fell silent. Noctis kept his attention on road to ensure he wasn't too far or too close to Ardyn's car. Prompto glanced into the backseat at (Y/n) before looking towards Ignis. "Hey, Iggy. Can your glasses take the heat?"
At the mention of his glasses, the strategist adjusted them. "Well, I don't see why they shouldn't."
"Even if they couldn't, he'd still be all right," Noctis commented.
Gladio nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Iggy's eyes ain't that bad."
Prompto was flabbergasted at the news. "Oh, really?"
"My vision is passable without corrective lenses," Ignis explained.
"Then why not take 'em off sometimes?"
"Well..."
Noctis snorted with laughter. "You don't get it, huh?"
"Ignis likes his world to be crystal clear," the shield said.
"Indeed. I've never been one for ambiguity," the advisor claimed.
"Ah. I think I'm getting the picture now." Prompto sat back down, turning to face the front.
"What if they were to break? Do you have a spare pair?" (Y/n) questioned out of curiosity.
"I'm afraid not," the bespectacled man answered.
Drawing closer to the Disc of Cauthess, Prompto has one more question to ask the strategist. "Hey Ignis, how's it feel being away from the wheel?"
"Positively frightening," Ignis responded honestly.
Noctis glanced at him in the rear view mirror, eyes narrowed. "What're you sayin'?"
"That I'm no stranger to His Highness' driving habits."
"'Preciate the confidence."
"Wait," (Y/n) sat up slightly. "Is he really that bad of a driver?"
"Morosely, yes," Ignis replied.
"I mean, he can't be that bad...can he?"
"Trust us, short stuff, he's the worst driver you could ever meet," Gladio said.
"I'm not that bad!" Noctis shouted.
"But you admit you're bad," Prompto cackled.
The prince rolled his eyes. "Ugh..."
After another minute or two, they arrived at the Cauthess barricade. It was sealed tight with imperial troopers watching the perimeter. What shocked the group the most was the lack of hostility from the enemy soldiers.
"We're here," Ardyn chirped.
"Better not be a setup," Noctis commented.
The auburn-haired man glanced over at him. "Have I given you reason to doubt me?"
"You don't exactly inspire confidence," Prompto answered.
Gladio was in agreement with the blonde. "Yeah, not very straightforward."
"Neither of you are," (Y/n) mumbled, eyeing both men in the car beside the Regalia.
Ardyn looked away from the group and shouts over the wall. "Hello! It's me! Be so kind as to open up!"
At his lighthearted command, the gates open. Prompto gasped in shock at how easy it was for the man to gain access to the Disc. "Wow, that worked?"
"I may not look like much, but I do have some influence. Aren't you glad we came together? Your audience with divinity lies ahead."
"You're leaving?"
"I drop you at the Archaean's open door, and with that, bid you farewell."
As Noctis drives the Regalia through the open gates, (Y/n) spared one last glance toward the red car. Her golden eyes locked with Callyx's emerald ones for a split second before they were too far apart to see each other. Even with his stoic expression, she could sense something much more sinister under the surface.
"I've met some weirdos..." Gladio mumbled.
"I hope we never meet those two again," Ignis remarked.
"Whoa! Little harsh there, don't you think?" Prompto asked.
"There's something off about those two..." (Y/n) muttered.
"Glad we agree," Noctis said.
The prince continued to drive the car down the dirt path until they came to what appeared to be a dead end. The five hop out of the Regalia and located a narrow pathway to the side. They follow the path and eventually stumble upon a stone sarcophagus. Prompto recognizes the design and asked, "Is that what I think it is?"
"Didn't expect to find a royal tomb here," Ignis expresses his own bewilderment.
Gladio elbowed the prince. "Would be a shame not to grab that power, eh, Highness?"
"Let's grab it and go," Noctis blandly stated.
As the raven-haired boy walks up to the sarcophagus near the ledge, (Y/n) heard a voice again from above. It was the same one she heard yesterday. Looking up at the sky, her golden-slitted eyes focused on the Celestial Crescent. She felt as if someone had put her under a trance. Unconsciously, she walked forward a few steps and came to a halt when the disembodied voice addressed her.
You...the...
"Are you...Brahma?" The girl whispered.
Vessel...mine...
(Y/n) was still in a dream-like trance when the ground begins to shake dramatically. She managed to keep her balance while all the boys weren't so lucky. Prompto and Ignis fall down while Gladio and Noct just barely manage to keep themselves upright. "Here we go again," Prompto said, bracing himself.
"This one's huge!" Gladio bellowed over the loud rumbling.
That's when Ignis notices the ground beginning to crack underneath Gladio, Noctis, and (Y/n). "Get away! Quickly!"
The spirit's gaze was still locked on the sky. She failed to notice the danger and hear the painful cries of the prince as he was overcome by another headache. She reached out a hand towards the sky just as the ground beneath her feet crumbled. She gasped when feeling a plummeting sensation in her gut, snapping out of the trance as she began to fall. The sound of Prompto shouting her name echoed in her ears.
(Y/n) feared for her life, but her fall was short-lived. A hand wrapped around her wrist and ceased her quick descent. "I've gotcha!" Her savior shouted. Looking up, she saw it was Prompto who grabbed her.
"Prompto..." The guardian whispered.
"Just hold on!" He shouted. Using his strength, he struggled slightly to pull her up. When he managed to pull her up onto solid ground, he sighed in relief. "Whew... That was close." He wiped the few sweat droplets off his forehead before gazing towards the girl. "Are you okay, (Y/n)?"
"I'm fine thanks to you," she smiled.
Just then, the Meteor begins to rise before them, revealing Titan. The Astral who has been holding the chunk of space debris on his back for many years makes his presence known. Prompto and (Y/n) stared in awe and fear at the sight of the mighty god. They both flinched when the Archaean's booming voice resounded out.
"So this is Titan..." The guardian mumbled.
Prompto, remembering Noctis and Gladio had also fell, peers over the ledge to check on them. He shouts when seeing they were both on a lower ledge. "Noct! You okay?!"
Ignis stood by the blonde and was relieved to see the prince and his shield were in one piece. "Thank heavens you're safe. Is there a way back up?"
"No, but there's a path. Gonna see where it leads," Noctis replied.
"You three try to get down," Gladio said.
The strategist nodded. "Very well. We'll look for a way. Be careful, now."
"You, too," the prince retorted.
"What? We're going where?!" Prompto shrieked.
"No time to dawdle," Ignis spoke up. "We must make haste."
(Y/n) wandered a little ways from the crumbling ledge and spotted a narrow, rocky path nearby. She noticed it went out of the way, but it was the only route leading down. "What about this path?"
"It's our only option," the advisor said.
"Then down we go!" Prompto cheered.
The trio wandered down the path, watching where they stepped. It was narrow and littered with jagged stones. Prompto slipped a few times due to being distracted by the rumbling caused by the Archaean. Luckily, (Y/n) caught him every time he stumbled. She sighed when he nervously laughed and thanked her every time.
They continued to listen to the Astral slam his mighty stone fist into the cliffside. They weren't able to see what damage the Titan was causing, but they were able to deduce who he was trying to reach-Noctis.
Ignis, Prompto, and (Y/n) soon arrived at a dead end. They looked around for another path, but they couldn't find one. When they walked over to a cliff, they saw a path below. Carefully, they slid down the small rocky slope and land on the path. As their feet landed on the ground, they spotted the Archaean's fist strike across the way. Ignis ushered them to move quickly.
All of a sudden, (Y/n) heard a faint humming. She looked around before glancing upward. Flying overhead were imperial drop ships. Seeing the empire had arrived, Ignis pulled out his phone and tried to get ahold of Noctis. When he managed to get ahold of the prince, he was relieved. "You're safe. Good. Listen, imperial troopers are near."
Morosely, that was all the advisor got to safe before the signal was lost and the call dropped. "Bloody hell," he hissed, shoving his phone back into his pocket.
Prompto was about to ask Ignis about the call, but his attention was drawn to their left when he saw movement in his peripheral vision. "(Y/n), Iggy, we've got trouble!"
The advisor and spirit looked in the direction the blonde was. Their eyes widen when seeing Titan's open-palmed hand heading straight for them. The girl was the first to react. She shoved Ignis and Prompto to the ground just as the Astral tried to grab them.
When the Archaean's hand wrapped around (Y/n), she cried out in pain at how tight the god was gripping her. She could barely breath and only managed to gasp as Titan retracted his hand.
Prompto heard her painful wail and scurried to his feet. "(Y/n), no!" He summoned his pistol and aimed, but he was afraid of hurting her if he pulled the trigger and missed. He watched helplessly as she was dragged away by the god.
The guardian squirmed in Titan's grip. She lifted her head just as she realized she was at eye level with the Astral. She winced the moment the Archaean's booming voice echoed out. She couldn't understand what he was saying and could only stare into his eyes. Feeling the god's grip lighten, she gasped when she could breathe again.
Suddenly, her attention was drawn away from Titan when she heard the voice in the sky speak to her.
Chosen...one...
My...vessel...
(Y/n) blinked in surprise. "Brahma, are you the one talking to me?"
Yes...
You...are...my vessel...
She shook her head. "Please, don't choose me. I-I wouldn't even know what to do as the conduit! There's no way I could become your vessel!"
You are...worthy...
Child...of Pneuma...
Heed...my call...and do...my bidding...
Fear not...
I...shall...guide you...
(Y/n) gasped in pain, shouting at the top of her lungs when she felt an intense heat radiate in her chest. She clawed at her chest, the gemstone on her arm pulsating with a brilliant golden light. Blood trickled from her eyes and nose. She released one final bloodcurdling scream before falling unconscious. Her body went limp in the Archaean's hand.
Before the Astral could place the girl down, Noctis appeared out of thin air. He warped and struck the god's hand, forcing him to drop the guardian. The prince caught her and grabbed his sword. He warped them down to the ground near Titan's feet where Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto were waiting.
Once landing safely with (Y/n), that's when Noctis saw her bleeding eyes and nose. Prompto rushes over while Gladio and Ignis provide protection from the Astral. The blonde carefully took the girl's body out of the prince's arms and pulled her into his. His heart was racing with worry after seeing the blood and seeing she was unconscious. He quickly picked her up and carried her away from Titan as Noctis parries the god's fist. He gently placed her down on the ground, glancing between her and the others. Seeing they needed his help, he reluctantly left her side to rejoin the fight.
As the royal retinue continued to fight against the Archaean, more imperial drop ships arrived. The group was ready to deal with the empire, but they were relieved when Titan swatted away some of the ships before they could attack. With the imperials now disposed of, they continued to deal damage to the god.
Eventually, Noctis built up enough energy to activate the armiger. He dealt blow after blow before performing a joint attack with his companions. They dealt heavy damage, causing the Astral to lose his balance and fall to a single knee. After attacking, Ignis then hurls a Blizzard spell at the god's arm. "The game's up!"
Gladio and Prompto follow the advisor's lead and hurl yet more Blizzard spells at Titan's arm. "You're out!" The blonde shouted. The Archaean's left arm freezes from the elbow down.
"It's over!" Noctis swings his sword down into the arm, shattering it all the way up to the elbow. Titan then collapses. The prince turns around to face his friends. "Hey, we all still here?"
"Yep, still here," Gladio replied.
"If a little battered," Ignis added. "How is (Y/n)?"
Prompto gasped, eyes widening as he ran over to the girl. Noctis, Gladio, and Ignis stood behind the marksman as he tended to her. He fell to his knees beside her and used a potion. He wasn't sure if it would help, but he knew it wouldn't hurt to use one. Prompto cups her cheeks in his palms and wipes the blood off of them. He stared at her with a saddened expression. "(Y/n)...?"
He received no response.
Ignis checked on her and was able to tell she was physically fine on the outside. His only concerns were her bleeding nose and eyes, which could be a result of internal injuries. He assisted Prompto by helping him put the girl on his back. When seeing she was safely onto the sharpshooter's back, he stepped away.
Just then, the tremors resume. The ground shook violently. The group's gazes fell back on to Titan. "What-what is it now?" Noctis asked.
Ignis' eyes narrowed, watching the Astral closely. "What is he doing?"
"He's winding up!" Prompto shouted. His grip on (Y/n)'s thighs tighten and he took a few steps back, readying himself to run.
"For the big one!" Gladio bellowed.
Titan roars, his booming cry echoing all around the royal retinue. Gold lights begin to emanate from his body, some of which coalesce around Noctis, showing him the god's memory of Luna standing before the god. Once Luna fades, he watched another memory of the god fighting a cosmic being. Titan, although bigger than the cosmic being, fell to his knees after being defeated.
When the god's memory fades, Noctis blinks in surprise. "That was...Luna. You spoke with her. That's why... But what was with that other memory?"
Titan and the Meteor suddenly discorporate in a powerful flash that sends all the imperial ships in the vicinity crashing to the ground. Lava spews from the earth as the Disc of Cauthess crumbles around the boys.
"Doesn't get much worse than this," Gladio commented. The four find themselves trapped.
Suddenly, an imperial drop ship descends to their location. Ignis grew tense as the airship closed in on them. "The empire! Now?"
The drop ship's door lowers, revealing Ardyn and Callyx. The auburn-haired man smiled at them. "Fancy meeting you here!"
Noctis and the others stare at the two men in stunned silence. Callyx crosses his arms with a sigh. "Maybe they didn't hear you."
Ardyn continues. "It occurs to me I never formally introduced myself. Izunia. Ardyn Izunia."
Ignis was shocked at the revelation. "Imperial Chancellor Izunia?"
"At your service. And more importantly, to your aid."
None of the boys move, instead offering only uncertain stares. Prompto glared up at the two, remembering what the empire's plans were. He couldn't believe Callyx was working for the empire knowing they were hunting down and killing spirits.
"I guarantee your safe passage. Though you're always welcome to take your chances down there," Ardyn spoke up. He glanced around at the faces of the royal retinue after receiving no response. "Buried among the rubble, is it?"
Ignis looked away from the chancellor and guardian, eyeing the prince. "Dying here is not an option. We have no choice, Noct."
Noctis met his advisor's gaze. "I know."
Reluctantly, the boys board the airship. As the hatch closes behind them, Prompto placed (Y/n) down. He then sat down and pulled her body into his arms. He rested his head on top of hers, ignoring Ardyn as he tried to speak to the others. He closed his eyes, holding her tightly against him.
It wasn't long before Prompto's eyes flew open at the sound of approaching footsteps. Looking up, he saw Callyx and glared at him. He watched the emerald-eyed guardian kneel in front of him. The moment he tried to touch (Y/n), Prompto summoned his pistol and aimed it at the man's head. "Don't touch her."
Callyx retracted his hand before raising it as a sign of peace. "I only wanted to check on her. What happened?"
Prompto lowered his pistol slightly, but kept it aimed at the spirit. "I-I don't know..." He looked down at the girl slumped against his chest. "Why're you working with the empire? Aren't you the one that said they were killing spirits?"
"I made a deal with them a short while ago. They allowed me to keep my life in exchange for loyalty. I'm using my position to warn any guardians I come across. (Y/n) is the first guardian I've met outside the empire."
"Won't they kill you once they learn you're protecting other guardians?"
"Most likely, but I'm willing to risk my life to protect my people."
Even at Callyx's declaration, Prompto didn't trust him. He dispelled his pistol and chose to remain silent. The spirit walked away after taking the hint and rejoined Ardyn and the others.
Now alone, Prompto buried his face into (Y/n)'s (h/c) hair and whispered, "Please wake up soon..."

According to Plan -- Ardyn Izunia x f!Reader
I know I’m cutting it a little close, but here is a small one-shot I did for Valentine’s Day. I wrote this really fast, so I’m sorry if it seems a little rushed and is rather short. Anyway, Happy Valentine’s day everyone! ^^
Summary: Ardyn wishes to ask you out on Valentine’s Day and plans a surprise evening for the two of you. Of course, the date does not go as smoothly as he had hoped, but at least everything went according to plan.
Ardyn Izunia was a man who loved surprises. He wouldn’t deny that he always had a flair for dramatics- a trait which had only grown more pronounce as time marched ever onward. However, it was more through his obscene and rather dedicated strategizing that his plans often resulted in his preferred outcome. And while his ostentatious antics did add to the effect; the greatest satisfaction was the resulting reaction of his intended victim afterward- be their astonishment one of joy or outrage. Yet none compared to the reactions he received from surprising you.
It was certainly childish of him to spend endless amounts of effort, time, and resources- something Besithia had voiced to him about on multiple occasions through several enraged voicemails- but it was worth it. He would watch your eyes brighten in shock, taken aback by whatever gesture he had thought to bestow upon you. But the twinkle of delight that always shinned from your (e/c) iris’ that was quickly followed by a quirk of your lips into a pleased smile, or perhaps even a laugh that beheld the warmth of a spring day made him wish to see that expression for all time.
And today was the reason why he had spent the last month and a half avoiding his paperwork in order to strategize this surprise for you. No matter what happened, everything will go according to plan….
“Happy Valentine’s Day, (f/n)!”
You smiled in delight at the box of pastries from Biggs and Wedge, “what’s this for?”
“Think of it as a thanks from us for repairing the ship,” Aranea answered with a grin.
“Plus, all the chocolates were sold out because of the holiday, but we thought you’d like cakes better.” Biggs added as Wedge nudge him in the ribs as a warning.
You laughed, “thank you very much. How’s the old girl running, by the way?”
“Better than ever thanks to you. So, I have to ask, what does Zegnautus’ Head Engineer have planned for the Saint Valentine’s?”
“At the moment, nothing. I’ll just be taking off early and having a night-in.”
“Really? I’m surprised no one’s asked you for a night out.”
“No, no one has. I even suggested to everyone if they wanted to have a movie night at my flat, but everyone said they have plans.” you answered with a wry smile.
“A night in sounds better than traveling to Lucis over night for inspections of Niflheim bases and dealing with Calligo.” The Imperial Dragoon rolled her eyes after stating the Brigadier General’s name, causing you to laugh.
“Well then, perhaps these will brighten your day.” You replied, moving to your desk and withdrawing three small boxes of chocolates. “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
“You’re the best Miss (f/n).” Biggs grinned happily.
Wedge inclined his head toward you, a small smile breaking across the stoic soldier’s face. “Thank you, (f/n).”
“My pleasure,” you beamed happily at your three friends.
After Aranea, Biggs, and Wedge left for their deployment; you continued with your repairs alongside your staff as time ticked by ever so slowly. By the time it was 14:30, you were more than happy to call it quits for your employees while you gathered the final paperwork of the day to submit for review. Already the members of your personnel were discussing their agendas for the evening amongst each other as others hurried to contact their significant others to inform them of an early day. Even though you had spoken about it to Aranea in jest, it was not a lie when you said that all of your co-workers seemed to be busy with the romantic holiday.
Unfortunately, you were so caught up in your own plans for the evening that you missed a stumbled slightly, causing the papers within your arms to soar through the air and across the corridor. Muttering a quiet curse, you bent down to retrieve the fallen papers and had managed to collect about half when a hand came into your field of vision, holding the other missing papers. “I believe these are yours,” a soft-baritone voice spoke politely to you; one you recognized.
“Thank you, Chancellor Izunia.” You replied with a grateful nod as you accepted your papers.
The red-head politician gave you a charming smile. “Not to worry, my dear- it was the least I could do. Though if I may ask; what was it that has your head so lost in the clouds?”
“Oh, I was just reviewing my plans for this evening is all.”
“Is that so? I take it you and your paramour have something special planned for Saint Valentine’s?”
You shook your head with a small laugh, “I’m afraid it is just me this evening with my collection of movies.”
“Truly? I’d have thought you would have duels fought for your hand, my dear. Any man would be a fool to bypass a lovely lady such as yourself.”
Heat began to flood your face as your cheeks became tinted by a dusting of pink blush. “You are too kind, Chancellor. But, what about you? Is there a sweet maiden who you intend to dazzle this evening?”
Golden eyes met your (e/c) eyes with an intensity that sent chills down your spin as a smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. “Perhaps…provided she says yes to my request.” Ardyn answered as he stroked his chin in thought, “I may be too late- for it seems she already has a previous engagement with a series of motion pictures.”
Your eyes widened a fraction as you processed who it was the Chancellor was speaking of, causing your pink cheeks to darken into a brilliant crimson. “Perhaps you should ask her. You never know until you try…”
Ardyn’s smirk only grew larger at your words. “Would you be willing to join me for an evening out on the town, Miss (l/n)? Let’s say, 18:00?”
“I would be delighted, Chancellor Izunia.”
It was only 10 minutes till 18:00 when a knock sounded at your front door, causing you to smile as you hurried toward the entry way. Placing your hand upon the door you opened it to reveal Ardyn Izunia, your companion for the evening. Gone was the grey long-coat, dark-green pinstriped trousers and steel-toed boots; replaced instead with a navy-blue suit with a matching navy tie and a crisp, white collared shirt. His short wine-red hair still rested in an untamed and wind-swept manner, though it seemed to go well with his formal attire. His vibrant amber eyes drank in the sight of you in your ivory ankle-length gown with blue flowers along the hem that looked as if they were water-colored onto the fabric itself. His mouth held slightly agape with you taking his very breath away.
“Hi,” you greeted him kindly, trying to fight the blush that began coloring your cheeks.
“And a good evening to you, my dear.” He answered, bowing courteously to you, “these are for you.”
Moving his left arm from behind his back, Ardyn lifted his hand to offer the bouquet of flowers which you hesitated to accept for a split second before taking hold of the flowers. “Thank you, that's very kind of you- achoo!”
“Are you alright?” Ardyn asked, concern coloring his tone.
You nodded, “yes, I am fine I just- achoo! I’m sorry, it’s just that I’m- achoo! achoo! I’m…I’m allergic to this flower…achoo!” you sniffed your nose slightly.
Ardyn froze in place as he stared at the bouquet in your hands, his left eye twitching in disbelief ever-so slightly until the expression vanished instantly behind a wry smile. “I sincerely apologize, Miss (l/n); it was not my intention to cause you discomfort.”
“Don’t worry, it’s not a severe allergy and I appreciate the gesture. I’ll just- achoo! Put these in a vase and…get some allergy medication, then we can go.”
Quickly you scurried toward your kitchen to place the flowers away and locked up your flat before returning to Ardyn’s side, graciously accepting the arm he offered to you with a smile. Once the two of you exited the lobby of your apartment complex, he led you to his magenta convertible and politely opened the door for you, gesturing with an elegant sweep of his hand to the passenger seat. “After you, my dear.”
“Thank you, Chancellor.”
“Now, now, Miss (l/n); there is no need for such formalities. Please, call me Ardyn.”
“Very well then, provided you call me (f/n) and not Miss (l/n).”
“With pleasure, my dear.”
The first destination Ardyn drove the two of you toward was an opera house, much to your surprise- though it did explain his request that you dressed formally for your outing. Yet it wasn’t the venue or activity of choice that surprised you the most, but rather the gentlemanly-behavior that Ardyn displayed. While he was famously charismatic to all within Zegnautus Keep, many often saying he could charm a beggar out of their last gil; it was rather curious to see the eccentric Chancellor in a more casual environment. And it was certainly disarming when he tossed you a devious smirk that made a slight flutter alit in your heart.
“That was wonderful, I can’t wait for the next part.” You spoke with giddy excitement as the Intermission began and the two of you exited your private box within the theater and into the lobby. “I have to say, for my first time at the opera it is quite spectacular.”
“I am pleased to hear you are enjoying yourself, (f/n).” Ardyn replied.
You nodded, “very much. It’s very kind of you to bring me here Ardyn, thank you.”
“I can think of no one more deserving,” his words caused you to smile in delight.
Unfortunately, the romantic moment was short lived as the two of you retrieve a few delicacies from the provided refreshments. Just as you were moving to retrieve a glass of champagne you felt a cold sensation down the entirety of your back and gasped as the material of your dress became soaked from a liquid. The scent of fruit and alcohol permeated the air as you tried to process how to clean the champagne that had spilt down the back of your dress. “I am so sorry miss, please forgive me. It was an accident!” the waiter cried in alarm at the consequence of their clumsiness.
“That remains to be seen,” you heard Ardyn spoke in a quiet tone that held an edge that was sharper than any blade.
“Ch-Chancellor Izunia…” the waiter muttered aloud in horror, as if they were staring at the devil himself. “I apologize for this inconvenience.”
“If you truly wish to earn some shred of forgiveness for your bumbling incompetence, perhaps you ought to retrieve some towels for my companion.” Ardyn glowered at the young waiter who looked like he’d rather be eaten by a behemoth than face the politician’s wrath. “Am I clear?”
“Y-Yes sir, right away sir!”
You watched the poor worker flee from the two of you as Ardyn glared after the young man as he collected what few serviettes rested beside the refreshment table and offered them to you. “(f/n), I must apologize- it was not my intention to have you doused in champagne.”
“I work as an engineer in Zegnautus Ardyn; champagne is not the worst substance that could have spilt on me. It’s…not ideal, but I am alright. Besides, I am certain you terrified that poor waiter more than enough.”
He sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair, “you are far more forgiving than one typically is in your situation (f/n).”
“Well, just because some alcohol spilt on my dress, that doesn’t mean I’m still not going to enjoying my time here Ardyn,” you said kindly.
“Oh, an optimist. Such a rare creature I seem to have stumbled upon.” His teasing words caused you to laugh, the sound bringing a warmth to the chill in Ardyn’s heart.
When the waiter returned with the head of management in tow to apologize for the mess and inconvenience, they caused. Even though Ardyn suggested they return to your flat so you could change, you refused to do so. The two of you were still rather irritated as well as annoyed about a preventable accident, but you supposed that it could always be worse.
And much to yours, as well as Ardyn’s horror, your date with the Chancellor would soon turn from bad to worse the moment you entered the elegant restaurant. The hostess, upon recognizing the Chancellor as he had his arm linked with your own, led you to your reserved table immediately. Even though it was Valentine’s Day as well as dinner-time, the establishment was relatively empty and you assumed that it was likely the price range that deterred so many people.
“May I ask you a question (f/n)?” Ardyn spoke suddenly, pulling your attention away from the menu you were perusing through.
“Certainly, you are more than welcome to do so.”
“Are you enjoying yourself?”
You frowned slightly as you pondered his words, letting your eyes meet his own before you answered his question. “Is there a reason that I would not?”
“Taking into account that your gown was damaged by spilt champagne and I gifted you with illness-inducing flowers, I assumed this evening was not the most enchanting.”
You chuckled, “well, it has certainly been an exciting evening with the past few...mishaps. But the pleasant company more than makes up for it.”
He chuckled, “I agree whole-heartedly.”
It wasn't much longer that your food soon arrived and you stared in awe at the elegantly designed entrée, causing your companion to smirk. As the two of you began your dinner and continued your banter and conversations throughout the course if the meal, you couldn't help the blush that colored your face every time his golden eyes met yours, or how his voice sounded sweeter than honey, or the laughs the two of you shared as you exchanged amusing anecdotes. However longer you spoke with Ardyn, you soon began to have a difficult time focusing on him with how hot you were getting. You blinked a few times to adjust your eyesight but nothing seemed to change. A slight sheen of sweat began to appear upon your face and you felt cold yet on fire simultaneously- and your discomfort soon became apparent to your companion. “(f/n), is something wrong? You do not look well.”
“I'm alright, it's just a little hot is all; and rather cold too.”.
Ardyn frowned, “what do you mean? (F/n), what's wrong?”
“It's just that I feel a bit nauseous and I can't focus or-" your eyes soon widened afterward as you immediately stood up and tried to hurry to the bathroom only to fall backwards as Ardyn moved to catch you.
“Call an ambulance!”
Ardyn rested his chin atop his laced fingers as he kept his gaze locked onto the linoleum floor of the hospital ER. His jacket was resting in his arms while his tie was undone and his sleeves rolled to the elbows, showcasing the bright orange visitor wristband around his right wrist. You finished adjusting your dress and emerged from behind the changing curtain and replaced your hospital gown atop of the bed, ready to sign yourself out. Upon noticing your presence, Ardyn stood up and hurried out of the room before you could even speak, causing you to sigh.
When the two of you approached the help-desk, the nurse sitting there smiled cheerfully at you and offered you a clipboard. “I just need you to sign here ma’am, and then I can discharge you.”
“Of course,” you answered, taking hold of the pen and writing your name down with a slight flourish.
“Thank you very much ma’am. You and your husband have a pleasant evening and Happy Valentine’s day.” The nurse replied, collecting the paperwork once more.
“Oh, we’re not…never mind.” You sighed as the two of you exited the hospital and proceeded to Ardyn’s car.  You rubbed your arms to help against the late evening chill, to which Ardyn gently draped his jacket upon your shoulders as the two of you continued the walk to his car. He wordlessly opened the door for you and you climbed inside as he entered the driver’s side of the vehicle and drove the two of you back toward your flat. The drive back was silent and as the two of you arrived at the entrance to your flat, you took hold of Ardyn’s hand; halting his movement causing the two of you to stop on the sidewalk in front of the lobby entrance. “Ardyn, there’s something I want to tell you.... I just wanted to thank you, for the lovely evening.”
He laughed at your words, though the smile didn’t reach his eyes. “Thank me? After this disastrous evening, which ended with you being emitted into the hospital due to food poisoning, you wish to thank me? I planned the perfect outing for you for a month and it was all for naught!”
You blinked in surprise, “you…planned this? For me?”
Though Ardyn continued on his rant, having not registered the words you had spoken. It wasn’t until you placed a gentle hand against his cheek did, he give pause and turn to face you. Your (f/n) eyes twinkled in delight as your lips pulled into a sweet smile, an expression of happiness and gratitude. It was then within a matter of movements you placed your lips against his in a soft kiss, “thank you for the surprise Ardyn, I loved it….Happy Valentine’s Day”
“Your welcome. Happy Valentine’s Day, my dear.”
Even though the evening was faced with a multitude of challenges, he had to admit that everything did go according to plan.

Note
last one I promise: ffxv but in space?... OK I'll admit I'm starting to run out of ideas. have a nice day and good luck with school!
holy fuck i went way more crazy with this than I planned. so have fun. Keep in mind, y’all, this is a space au–things are defo different than the actual plot. also: happy ending
FFXV IN SPACE HC
The Regalia is a small prototype ship made for small trips to and from space stations and moons
Noctis’ father is the leader of a massive space colony circling a dimming blue star
Their space colony is running out of resources and energy as a result of a longstanding war with The Empire, a corporation that grew too powerful back when space travel became big and now aims to take control of every colony, resource, and inhabitable planet in the galaxy
so Regis sends Noctis and Co out on an expedition to build alliances and find potential resources that the Empire had overlooked
Noctis is a drifter who doesn’t want to take over his dad’s colony
Gladio is a soldier, a bodyguard in training for the leaders of the space colony. His family has always worked closely with the colony’s founders, so he was raised to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors and to protect Noct
Prompto is a lower level settler of their space colony
He ran into Noctis during their school days and latched himself to Noct like a leach (Noct never minded and even grew to like Prom)
Ignis is still an advisor, albeit a SPACE ADVISOR
He is well versed in most, if not all, of the known alien languages and settlements (he spent so much of his schooling learning languages that he dreams about learning them–granted they’ve become more of nightmares by this point)
He guides Noctis on their mission to find resources and build alliances, giving advice such as “Do not try to navigate that asteroid belt” and “stay far from the Black Hole of Ostenbar–many civilizations were lost there”
Granted that advice is always ignored, but hey, it’s the thought that counts!
One day on their expedition, he mentions rumors of a ship called The Oracle–a ship that opposes the Empire
Supposedly, it started out as a simple rescue ship that grew bigger and bigger and soon became a massive self sustaining ship that travels around the galaxy helping those in need
Noct and Co. realize that it may be their first step towards building alliances and aim to find The Oracle–it’s their first tangible mission
The Oracle, if you hadn’t already guessed, is run by Luna
She and her brother, Ravus, inherited it from their family
The Oracle had many run ins with the Empire as a result of its good deeds, and Ravus grew tired of the pain inflicted on both his people and his inheritance due to those assholes
He knew he could never deal with the Empire directly, especially while handling The Oracle, so he left the ship in the hands of Luna and ran off
He fell in with a group of good-natured space pirates and now raids the Empire’s smaller ships with his small, growing fleet and gives the resources he obtains from them to those who need it–kind of like a robinhood of sorts
(I’m expecting some SpacePirate!Ravus spin offs in the future–i’ll even take the transcript of pirates of the caribbean except with ravus and in space)
anyways
Ardyn is a strange deity who was once worshiped on a more primitive, jungle based planet
His planet is hot, humid, and full of bright, colorful creatures. Some of them are poisonous and deadly, and others are docile and harmless
His people made beautiful buildings of stone with carved designs and everything they made was otherworldly and beautiful, there wasn’t a single item of theirs that wasn’t art in one way or another
They made the most beautiful songs and their language was magnificent and elegant; it was as though their voices were woven from the stars
Keywords? Made. Was.
The Empire found him one day and found his immense power very beneficial
They captured him and his worshippers, turning the worshippers into slaves and science experiments while they used torture and abuse to control Ardyn before turning him into the High Commander or the Empire
They brainwashed him into thinking it was Regis’ colony that had done him wrong, and he has it out for Insomnia Space Colony ever since
It takes a metric fuckton of cycles for Noct and co to finally find The Oracle, who is very willing to join the Insomnia Space Colony cause (my god is that a mouthful or what)
Sidenote: Cor is pretty high up on commanders from Noct’s colony, so he was out conducting business with other settlers at the far end of the galaxy
After the destruction of Insomnia Space Colony, he managed to get hold of Noct on The Oracle and relay the news
It leaves Noctis and the others crushed
They end up lost for a little bit, uncertain what their goal should be from then on
One day, however, The Oracle receives an SOS call from that same dimming star that Noct’s colony had orbited
The Oracle takes them there, and they find many, many survivors
The Oracle takes those survivors on board without a single word, and as Noctis sees the remnants of his people’s suffering at the hands of The Empire, he swears to bring an end to those fuckers as long as he lives (cue his new reason for living)
ANyways
Noct and co.’s favorite pit stop is a small colony on an asteroid called Crash Comet
It’s run by Cid, an old alien friend of Regis’ and his granddaughter
It’s the nicest gas station, diner, and mechanic outside of their solar system
They visit it regularly, especially after Noct learns how to fly the Regalia (he can’t avoid those asteroid belts even when he tries)
Gladio once asked why Prompto was with them on their expedition bc he genuinely had no idea why the kid was there
Gladdy was there for protection, Ignis was their walking, talking adviceman, and Prom? He had no idea
Prom lowkey didn’t know either, but he just held up his old lil camera and said some BS about being their historian
In reality, Noct really just brought him bc he didn’t want to be stuck in a tiny spaceship with Ignis and Gladdy alone, besides, he knew that Prompto always wanted to see the galaxy outside of their colony
They have many run-ins with Ardyn and The Empire–it always ends in a massive chase scene through the stars, a disappearance in a hectic asteroid belt, and another trip to Crash Comet
Noct, Iggs, Gladdy, and Prom have a blast on their space adventures
At least, up until their colony is destroyed
Still, they meet aliens from all walks of life and eat strange alien food at strange alien gas stations on the edge of the galaxy and make friends everywhere
They make alliances as they go, building up their own army of settlers, colonists, space pirates, and aliens alike to rise up against the Empire, with The Oracle heading their fleet
Prompto takes so many pictures that he ends up with a massive database of things ranging from aliens, planets, stars, flora, fauna, selfies, weird poisonous glowing bacteria–you name it, he’s got it (after their adventures he actually finds scientists and alienologists asking him for his pictures for research and references; our boi makes bank on his pics!)
Ignis tries every single different cultured cuisine he can get his grubby lil gloved paws on and he will eat ALL OF IT. he has been poisoned by the clashing chemical makeup on more than one occasion (but he still won’t stop)
Noctis hates trying new culture foods, like he goes for some of it but if Ignis tries to feed him one more Glockinshnid’esiria throat casserole, he’s going to vomit
Gladio towers over a lot of alien species they meet, but he also looks like a penny next to some of them (he lowkey feels insecure about it)
Gladdy likes to trade work out regimens with some aliens
He once tried working out with the very gruff, muscled Kleeverprongs, a species known to eat the muscles of their dead to become stronger and who begin weightlifting at 3 months old (he threw his back out and couldn’t walk for a week)
Prompto tries to steal small alien pets but Ignis threatens to throw him out the back of their cruiser if he so much as looks at one more Puffelzingor.
He once hid a small mouse like rodent in his shirt for three weeks, but it escaped and ate through one of Ignis’ prized pots (it’s one of the more expensive ones that can handle stardust and the harshest of acids)
Ignis hasn’t forgiven him yet. And he probably never will.
Sometimes Noct and Co. cross paths with Ravus
Ravus usually screams about them being the ones who got his sister tied in even further with the bloody empire and being the biggest thorn in his ass
There was one time where Ravus was thought to be dead in the middle of space, and none other than Noct and Co. rescued him (he had lost an arm and been abandoned by accident. Space pirates aren’t very bright sometimes)
He was less aggressive towards them afterwards, especially because he was stuck with them for about 2 and a half cycles (roughly 3.67 months) because the nearest welcoming outpost was at least a good hundred stars away
ANyways plot stuff:
So, throughout their journeys and travels, Noct and Co. slowly learn about some of the Empires more hidden histories and ties with differing colonies
They learn more about Ardyn, how he was essentially a tool used by the empire
THey actually travel back to the planet that Ardyn had been worshiped on and end up learning even more
At first, they thought he had just been a leader of some strange planet, but when discovering he was essentially a god? Oh boi, they were faced with a big moral dilemma
Noctis still wants to bring down the Empire, but now, he also wants to help Ardyn and Ardyn’s people
Gladdy is against it, of course, saying that Ardyn had still done terrible things and was still a terrible person who should pay for his actions
Noct mostly disagrees. He thinks Ardyn needs to pay to a certain degree, but to him, it was more important that they at least try to free his people and attempt to get the truth out there
He argues that it really wasn’t all Ardyn’s fault, that he was nothing more than a pawn who had been manipulated and lied to for nothing but selfish reasons
He doesn’t want to help Ardyn, necessarily, but he does want to make things right
It was truly at this point that his friends began seeing the leader that Noct truly is
Noctis and Co. were never really able to convince Ardyn as much as they tried; he was past the point of simply believing things
Still, he made a deal. A snarky deal with a smirk and teasing tone to his voice, but the look in his eye had been enough to give them hope
He told them, that if they were able to find his people and set them free, he just might be willing to strike up some sort of deal that would work out for both of them
Cue montage
The space bros go through hell and back trying to find out what happened to most of the worshippers
They break through and destroy so many Empire outposts and institutes that they probably single handedly cripple part of the Empire
Even so, with how hard they work to find out where the worshippers were, they had to ask for help
They asked both Ravus and Luna for help, as well as some of the more trusted allies they had made through their journey
In the end, they find that most of the worshippers had been killed. They manage to rescue those who had survived, and bring them to Luna’s ship for safety
They’re beaten and bruised with fearful eyes and they spend most of their time praying–it’s all they can do at this point
It’s heartbreaking, and it truly reminds Noctis and his friends that they weren’t the only ones who had lost their home
Luna and Noct both promise the worshippers that they would be brought back home when it was finally safe, but no one knows when that will be
The next time Noctis crosses paths with Ardyn, there is no snark in Ardyn’s voice–only the serious tone of a man who had lost everything
He demands that Noct bring him to his people, his voice harsh and sharp as he snaps. His eyes are furious and his stance is dangerous but Noct remains calm and tall, his eyes cool as he talks Ardyn down
Ardyn agrees to go with Noctis alone, he agrees to relinquish his weapons and trickery–all he wants is to see that his people are safe
The others aren’t happy, the air is tense in their cruiser as they return to The Oracle. Gladio silently fumes and Ignis is ready to pounce any second.
But Ardyn makes no moves. He waits, his heart still, his eyes sharp–he could be walking into a trap, and he knows it, but he doesn’t care, not if his people are there
Luna is respectful when Ardyn boards her ship. She doesn’t show any ill will despite what he has done–she knows he had been tricked, and she knows that all that really matters to him are his people. She respects that.
She leads him to the worshippers, and the second his eyes fall on them, he smiles–truly smiles
He feels relief, hope–glee
They look just as stunned as he is, their eyes wide and sparkling as they drop to the floor and bow
He only tells them to stand, speaking in an old, dead language that even Ignis doesn’t know
He asks them questions, touches their cheeks, their shoulders, their hands… He’s so gentle and careful, no one else can believe it
As they finish answering, he thanks them with a warm, soft voice, promising he’ll get them home safe–that they will all go home safely and that he’ll join them, that they will rebuild their beautiful civilization once again and no one will ever hurt them again
He turns and looks at Noctis, his eyes full of cold murder as his fury burns. He asks when they’ll launch their full attack–because he wants in. He quietly vows that he will bring down the empire–every last ship, even if it kills him.
It only takes a few more cycles for everything to be ready.
There are at least a thousand ships that come forward to help fight. Their alliances hold true to their words and promises and join The Oracle, bringing their own smaller allied ships and friends with them
Ravus brings at least 200 ships full of space pirates with a new, shiny arm at his shoulder
Noctis contacts older allies that his dad had made, as well as the hundreds of new ones he’s made through his travels–and those allies bring their own, as well
Luna has age old promises that are being fulfilled, her oldest contacts coming forward from the deep recesses of space to help fight the Empire
Even Ardyn pulls some strings, pulling a few of the Empire’s allies over to their side–after all, many of them had been loyal to Ardyn alone, in the end
With the Empire spread over so much of space, it isn’t a clean, straightforward war (then again, most aren’t)
The war lasts 81.7 cycles–nearly ten years. Strategies are stretched, lives are lost, people were worn down, but Noctis never wavers
In the end, the Empire crumbles–losing far too many of its ships and colonies, especially as the civilizations it took over rebel and fight back.
Eventually, there is only the head colony left–and Noctis’ side easily corners it.
Noctis isn’t alone when he approached the leader of the Empire. Ardyn goes with him, his losses just as valid as Noctis’
The leader begs. He cries, yells in desperation, falls to his knees and simply weeps–asking for Noctis to have mercy.
Noctis is cold as he responds, simply staring down the old man. He’s gotten what he wants–the Empire’s downfall. Yes, the leader needs to pay for his crimes, but he doesn’t care much for the logistics of that–so deciding punishment falls to Ardyn.
The details don’t matter too much–the Empire fell, Noctis was able to rebuild his colony around a new star, The Oracle was free to help the civilizations that had been under the Empire’s control, Ravus and his space pirates became the police of sorts–protecting people from unsavory sorts in space, and Ardyn was able to return to his home with the remainder of his people
Space was free again, its planets and civilizations free to return to run their lives as they pleased
Edit: Things I forgot to mention™
Arenaea is space’s local lesbian space pirate whose fleet was actually hired by Ardyn somewhere down the line
She was actually notorious and was a big rival of Ravus (they crossed paths on more than one occasion)
She’s lost a couple digits and a foot, as well as an eye in her pursuits but replaced them all with cybernetic implants (her eye can actually see in infrared, very handy in space)
Her cyborg foot has a built in high heel
She’s one of the most dangerous enemies and one of the best allies to have
No one crosses her and lives to tell the tale (unless she wants them to)
Insanely good strategist and is one of the best allies Noct has in the war
You can hear her loudly walking down the metal bridges of ships when hunting down mercenaries and criminals, her cybernetic foot and high heels clanging loudly (she likes to scare them--she could move quietly with no effort at all)
Anyways so weapons right
LASERS LASERS LASERS LASERSSSS
Ignis’ weapons are duel blades ofc, however, they’re HEAT DUEL BLADESSSS
With a click of his thumbs he's got some lasers shooting down the edge of his daggers and ready to burn the guts of his enemies as he stabs them (it’s pretty good at cauterizing wounds so his slices and jabs are well placed for instant death)
Gladio??? Yes, he still uses those massive as two handed swords. No one can rip that away from him
However
They, too, have laser capabilities
He keeps two laser pistols on either side of his belt for when they’re fighting in smaller quarters
Y’all haven’t lived until you’ve gotten a mental image of sweaty gladio with burn wounds from laser rifles and holes in his tanktop shootin a couple of laser pistols with his beautiful manbun-ponytail thing and 10-year gap hair chillin out there, mouth turned down into a scowl as his sharp eyes aim
He also has a couple of electric cybernetic gloves that stun enemies with a single punch
Now. Noctis? Listen. He doesn’t use lasers--too much of a hassle
Our boi has a few cybernetic implants, kay?
Y’all ever played mass effect? His magic is basically like the biotics of mass effect
In other words, he still has magic, it’s just sci-fi magic!
His swords are made out of the sharpest metals one can find, and they glow because 1) I say so, and 2) they were forged from radioactive materials and stardust from the heat of a dying star because that’s how we do things in S P A C E
NOW PROMPTO
HOOO BOI MY LORD SO MANY LASERS
S O  M A N Y  L A S E R S
He’s got a laser rifle, he’s got a laser sniper, he’s got bullets that electrocute, bullets that explode, bullets that burn, grenades that stun, grenades that blow up, grenades that disintegrate only organic forms (helpful in space ships tbh)
He has a good trusty ole missile launcher type of weapon that launches concentrated laser ball missiles at shit
Also he’s far sighted.
Anyways; prom is always making modifications to his weapons (and gladio’s pistols) and is always the one to repair or alter the spacebro’s weaponry
He once smacked Noct for trying to fix a sword and somehow damaging its mechanics
Prom actually makes some serious cash fixing weapons at outposts and such, he also buys cheap weapons and bulks them up before selling them for like three times his buying price
He’s actually the most well-off out of them further down the line and he’s the one who brings in the credits throughout their journey because he’s the only one with some sort of income
Also i forgot to mention
Noct loses a leg in the war and gets a cheap prosthetic to tide him over until the end; then he gets a hella cool cyborg leg like Arenaea
Ignis does NOT go blind, however, he loses an eye in a fight with some space pirates who try to raid The Oracle and ends up with an eyepatch for a while
Later on, he gets his own cybernetic implant eye--it’s a lot like Arenaea’s actually
It glows red and the metal covers the area around his eye completely, reaching around towards the side of his head and disappearing beneath part of his hair
Ravus’ right hand pirate is an android
Gentiana is also an android
Cor punches Ardyn in the face the first time they meet during the war--yes, he does know that Ardyn is on their side, now
Cor was the one who found many of Ardyn’s worshippers and brought them to The Oracle
Also Cor is a cyborg

Random Besithia-centric Future’s Blurry HCs
I’m having fun picturing the differences between Glaucus’s Besithia and canon Besithia like whoo-
-Does in fact develop moral fiber from repeated exposure to Ardyn and Glaucus and from Glaucus’s iron-tight rules on What To Not Do. Sure, it’s got a lot more grey area than most people’s, but it’s THERE and he does in fact follow it religiously. If something is over his little mental moral line he WILL NOT CROSS, even if his line is several yards farther back than most people’s so to speak.
-Is unaware he has moral fiber now for a while.
-Is extremely insulted the day he realizes that he just went on a professional ethics rant that would have made him the laughingstock of a Nif college. That this means he has MORALS that aren’t just following Glaucus’s rules for his own continued wellbeing.
-Stomps over to Glaucus, flops down like a spoiled child in the nearest chair and hisses “You- YOU. You have INFECTED ME.”
-Glaucus just blinks at him, vaguely bemused and concerned until Besithia flings his hands in the air and wails, “I HAVE MORALS NOW. I hate them. They get in the way of Science™ but I can’t ignore them anymore!” Then he gets up and stomps away leaving a wheezing from laughter Glaucus and a very confused Regis behind.
-Is ironically the Team Little Sibling despite Titus being Actually Younger. Why?
-He keeps wandering off and getting into trouble for Science™.
-Is 100% the type to do the Iroh quote of “delicious tea? Or deadly poison?” And then follow it up with “I must analyze in the lab” because he’s not looking for the tea he’s looking for something deadly to experiment with.
-Will go off and Poke the nearest Deadly Creature just to study and record the response.
-Titus is forever growling over the Science Idiot. They fight like cats and dogs but whenever Besithia goes to do something Dumb for Science™, Titus is right there on Glaucus’s heels to rescue him.
-Will go on science rants for hOURS. It’s actually the best way to keep him distracted/contained to one area and out of everyone’s hair.
-Ardyn still has zero idea what is coming out of Besithia’s mouth most of the time, but by the time Prompto is born, Ardyn has perfected the art of picking out the keywords in the rambles and then parroting them back when Besithia starts to wind down in an agreeably questioning tone that sets Besithia off again. So like, Besithia will be complaining on why the Vaccine No Worky yet, needing to vent over his frustrations, and Ardyn will wait until Besithia has stopped for a few seconds to breathe before parroting, “The gene sequencing?” and he may have no idea what that means but it seems to be important because off Besithia goes again for another hour.
-At this point baby Prompto’s earliest memory of his science dad is going to be all the Science Rambles that lull him to sleep.
-I’m having a hysterical time picturing G!Besithia and the others learning of the canon Besithia’s shenanigans SOMEHOW and G!Besithia is just.
-H O R R I F I E D.
-LIKE.
-He’s been studying the Starscourge for YEARS at this point with the express purpose of curing it, he’s seen all the nasty stuff it does and learned the Importance of Anti-Infection Protocols and YES, he’s always had a minor obsession with daemons, but Glaucus got to him early enough that the obsession turned away from “would like to make them and be one” to “would like to know them inside out so I can absolutely demolish them with a vaccine and prove how awesome I am”.
-And then he learns of another him that ... that thinks INFECTING MACHINERY is a good idea? THAT CLONING HUMANS AND MAKING THEM INTO MIASMA TO POWER MACHINES IS A GOOD PLAN???
-WHERE IS THIS TRAVESTY OF A SCIENTIST. LET BESITHIA SHOOT HIM.
-And while this is not gonna be canon, I am still picturing the moment of pure dysphoria Glaucus feels watching his Besithia rant about the stupidity of canon Besithia, about how there is no assured way of keeping the MT units from malfunctioning and turning on people, how no suit would be completely airtight as well as combat mobile so that means infection is LEAKING EVERYWHERE on a microscopic level, and also it’s so STUPID to go to all the resources and trouble of cloning humans only to infect them into miasma JUST USE MAGITEK CORES IT’S SO MUCH CHEAPER AND WON’T INFECT ALL YOUR SCIENTISTS AND CITIZENS AND PERSONNEL BY THE SIX WHAT WAS OTHER HIM THINKING-.
-Nobody tell this Besithia that canon Besithia wanted to turn HIMSELF into a magitek core. This Besithia may genuinely blow a gasket from screaming in impotent fury at the stupidity.
-*faint screaming in the distance as Besithia flees to the depths of his lab to swear without Prompto overhearing* IF YOU ARE A GIANT METAL PLAGUE WORM HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PERFORM MORE EXPERIMENTS. AND WHO IS GOING TO RUN MAINTENANCE ON YOUR GIANT, EXPENSIVE, HIGHLY PRONE TO MALFUNCTION WORM FORM. MORON.
-Is addicted to bad anime. Especially bad science fiction anime. Will happily spend hours mocking and nitpicking the science of the world-building until someone forgets to enforce his sleeping schedule and Glaucus shows up in the morning to find Besithia surrounded by about two dozen cans of Monster, electro-static hair, 2 AM bags under his eyes, cackling like a drunken lunatic over the Impossible Sci-Fi toy he’s just recreated.
-Has invented a lightsaber.
-Gave it to Titus as a birthday present after pulling five all-nighters post the Star Wars movie night that gave Besithia the idea. Glaucus was Not Happy™ that his Murder Child now had a LASER SWORD. Has since been forbidden to make another (still made one for Glaucus for his birthday too, but that was it, Cor was So. Jealous.).
-Has also come up with plans for a warp gate, but after Glaucus heard about this and the fact that failure of the warp gate would fracture the planet, has since been banned from finishing the project and all his notes were confiscated.
-Is very attached to his Idiots. No touchy. People who mess with his People tend to disappear. Glaucus would suspect scientific experimentation and abduction, but he oversaw the building of the lab and knows there is no secret room to put them.
-Still. Glaucus has his Suspicions™.
-Can, Has, and Will come up with all sorts of horrible ways to kill people who mess with His Idiots. Do not think he is a nice person to everyone. It’s only to his Idiots and their respective families/loved ones/lovable pests. Everyone else, as far as Besithia is concerned, can either leave him alone or Perish in some excruciating, science way.
-Is, in general, a really wacky mix between lovable science moron and deadly terrifying mad scientist. Depends on where you fall in his levels of attachment.

Hey, hey, hey, hey...so with the Dawn Of The Future novel announced, it means that those NoctLuna babies from the picture? Probably cannon. And Noctis and Luna’s wedding? Hella cannon.
But was the discussion on what Luna’s last name going to be ever solved?? Because I remember it being a thing awhile back so yee, here I am, bringing up old things.
I can actually safely say that Luna’s name probably wouldn’t have changed at all, and in fact, her daughter’s name would have been the only one that’s different!
Reasons why??
Well, after learning of Sylva’s name actually being Via Fleuret and with Aera as Mils, it’s safe to say that Fleuret is the name that gets passed down, and I have reasons to think that the middle factor of the name, such as Nox, is actually the last name of the father!
So since Sylva apparently didn’t change her name while Ravus and Luna both share the same “Middle Name”, it probably points to it being the Fleuret way of taking on the father’s name, But since the Oracles are all females, they had to retain a set name for their house,
So comes the solution of giving the child the father’s last name to come in front of the Fleuret, so not only can the father’s legacy somewhat carry on, the Fleuret name continues!
But what does this have to do with Luna and the Lunoct babies????
So, unless Ravus fathered a baby girl who happens to have Oracle powers, I believe that the unnamed daughter will eventually become the Oracle in her mom’s place! So it’s likely her name will go as _____ Caelum Fleuret? But as for the son?? I believe he’ll have the full name of Lucis Caelum since the crown will most likely be passed onto him since his sister is already designated a task. In this sense, both lines will be able to continue.
Luna is most likely to keep the Nox Fleuret as her mother kept her name as well, just given how Sylva has a different name than her children!
And since y’know, I love Ravyoli and felt the need to put a thing in here on him, I’m actually pretty curious if he would continue that tradition with his kids? Or would they take on his full ‘Nox Fleuret’? It’s something to think about!
Also, with the Fleuret name being passed down and how the Queens don’t alter their name when it comes to marriage, it pretty much solidifies that Tenebrae has been run by the Queen Fleurets for as long as Aera at least!
It also somewhat makes me believe that after Ardyn and Aera, the Oracle and King lines were no longer allowed to mix, not only is there now only one person to carry on the bloodline, there’s also a name and title to be passed on as well, and with the marriage of a Lucis Caelum and a Fleuret, if that couple happened to only have one child, or all sons and no daughters, one of the names would have died out and the bloodline might have become less pure as a son would not be able to pass on anything truly ocular. As Ravus shows that, while he is gifted with powers unexplained, he lacks the needed abilities to become the Oracle.
Sooooo, this feels really messy and all that, so sorry, it’s not one of my more sounder theories, although I do believe I'm at least somewhat correct with the names !!!
Another thing I mentioned in the past is that the Fleuret’s could have only had girls up until Sylva when the world was basically unraveling around them and the God’s were “Nah fam”-ing away, given how they address Ravus in some standpoints. Gladio, who the heck refers to someone as a Son Of Tenebrae? I don’t see you being referred to as a son of Lucis. Perhaps through the blessing of the Astrals? The only reason why I think this theory would hold any weight is because of the chance of the Oracle line fading away, since only girls could be the Oracle. After all, not everyone can have more than one kid, and unless a girl is born, the Oracle’s are through. So perhaps by some miracle of the Gods, they made it so that the deciding factor for having a girl was strongest and would be the most common occurrence, if not the only one. Given that both Luna and Ravus are the last of the Fleurets Thanks Ardyn , a birth of a boy, especially as a first born, in that time might have meant a bad omen, and worried the people of Tenebrae until Luna was born. Not only would that lend to Ravus’ ‘OH LOOK AT HOW POWERFUL I AM, I COULD BE CHOSEN’ complex, but it would also show the signs of the end of the era for the Fleurets.
But idk, maybe that’s just me grasping at straws. Weirdly enough, I remember in game that a random passerby mentioned Ravus as the first son of Tenebrae, but I can never find it anywhere- was it patched out because it didn’t coincide with other lore? Or was I just hallucinating? I honestly don’t know why I remember this so vividly.

The chocobros and Nyx reacting to their S/O teasing them to get what they want (i.e. food). Thanks!
So, I’m reading this as teasing like the puppy eyes, pet names, and the whiny voice sort of thing so you can get your way. I also normally think of it in terms of getting food, lol. I hope that’s what you wanted…Enjoy! ❤
If you’re wondering where I’ve been for the last few days…well, I’ll post about that in a bit ;)
Taglist: @idiotflowerex, @laststory1013, @sayaoqueen, @jophinabean, @mysme-already

Tumblr media
Noctis
You put on that whiny voice and those puppy dog eyes…
At first he’s taken aback,
“What? Why are you doing that?”
You want some of his fries.
And he blushes because he finds it all adorable.
His mouth contorts into a pout and he looks away.
As he pushes his plate over so you can have some.
But now you know…
Now you know his weakness!
And he knows he’ll never be safe again!
But honestly, he’s ok with that. Because you’re so cute!
From then on, he just laughs when you start.
Sometimes, he really doesn’t want to give it up,
“NO! Not now!”
But he’ll sigh, knowing you won’t stop until you get what you want.
His food will never be safe again.
Prompto
You want to see the picture he just took,
But he doesn’t want to show it to you, yet.
“Prooommmm…”
The eyes, the voice, his name…
It’s a deadly combination!
“AWWW! Don’t start that!! You know I can’t! Just…”
And then he gives in, holding the camera out to you, looking away, with a fake pout on his lips, cheeks rosy.
But he loves it.
You just look so damn cute when you do that!
He gets a photo of it at one point, and he can’t even.
Can’t even form words.
Sometimes he’ll try to get you to stop by kissing you,
But you’re persistent.
And he would give you anything in the world, anyways.
Ignis
Believe it or not, cuteness is this man’s downfall.
He’s not as open about it as Prompto is,
But if it’s cute, it’s already got his heart.
Would heroically save his chocobo.
So when you start to tease him, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for you.
You’re always begging for the first bite of food as he’s cooking.
The first time, he gets a slight blush to his cheeks and a shy smile.
Gives in easily.
After that, he’ll smile as you start and silently give in,
Or make a big deal out of it if he wants to tease back.
“Must you?” With a dramatic sigh.
Or “You know you don’t need to do that.”
But he thinks it’s absolutely adorable.
Besides, there’s part of him that loves seeing you beg.
Gladio
Stands triumphantly the first time you try it because he’s “immune”!
Thinks that because Iris did it so much that he can handle you doing it.
He’s so wrong.
Nope, he still drops everything when Iris starts it.
Now he would drop everything and more just to get you something you desired.
No, he’s not done with this book and he’s not sharing it…
Okfinehereitis
If you and Iris double team him one day for kicks,
He practically screams.
“This is not ok!!”
His heart skips a beat when you use those eyes on him.
He’s totally a switch and those eyes make him want to do all the things at once.
Nyx
No…this guy is immune.
He can laugh at the puppy dog pout.
And if you use pet names on him, he just uses them back.
He’ll do the routine right back at you and put you both in a fit of laughter.
Of course he’ll give you whatever you want,
But it’s not because of your teasing.
He remembers his sister using similar tactics on him.
It brings back memories that now taste bittersweet.
But it does tell him about how close your relationship is,
And how silly you can be with each other.
Yes, he’d do anything for your smile.
Ravus
Will pretend it doesn’t affect him.
Thinks it’s unbecoming if you do it in public.
Whispers “Stop…”
But it does make him blush.
And on his pale skin, his cheeks look like roses.
Tries to cover it with his hands.
You likely find it adorable.
Luna used to get her way like this, too.
Especially when they were kids.
So she has to giggle when she sees you do it.
But with you, Ravus’s mind goes to…inappropriate places.
If you’re alone when you start teasing him,
Ravus will get an utterly handsome and mischievous grin on his face.
“Must you,” he’ll ask, before stopping the act with a heated kiss to you lips.
You’ll soon be pinned to the wall.
Yes, you’ll still get whatever you desired,
But so will he.
Luna
She is surprised the first time you do it to her.
Youngest siblings never expect their tactics to be used against them.
Her wide eyed face is set with a blush.
And she’ll give you whatever you want without even thinking.
“This must be why it worked on Ravus…” she’ll think.
But it’s so cute on you!
She can’t form the words at how cute it is!
She’ll laugh from then on, always giving in to you.
Sometimes teasing you with a curt, “No.” before giving in.
If you do it to her in bed, though.
A fire hotter than Ifrit’s will be lit within her.
She has to give you whatever you want,
She has to hear you say her name like that, again.
It brings out sides of her you never imagined.
You’ll get more than you ever imagined when you tease Luna.
Ardyn
Oh, how he loves this.
He’ll love to make you beg for things.
It’ll bring that mischievous smile to his lips.
He’ll pretend like he doesn’t hear you at first,
But it’s like music to his ears.
“Oh, come now, love, you can do better than that!”
Yes, he’ll give in, but just to you.
But you have to work for it.
You’re the only person he’d actually give something to.
Cor
Will sigh…
He’s too tired for this.
But…six it’s cute!
He’ll smile as he gives you what you want.
But, it gives him ideas for later.
“Now, now, don’t you think that would work better if we were alone?”
He’ll hush you by running his lips tantalizingly close to your neck.
It really becomes a game of who can tease who the most.
