ft. Gladiolus, Ignis, Noctis, Prompto, Sephiroth, Reno, Zack, & Cloud
tags: nsfw, smut, gn!afab!reader, established relationships, masturbation, oral, size kink, strength kink, comfort/loving, creampie, rough sex, biting, breeding kink, i tried researching lmao
Gladiolus: The Clasp
Anything that lets him show off his strength! He likes being your big, strong protector and using his body as a tool to his advantage. He's so much bigger than you, his shadow often dwarfs your own, a reminder that he will always keep you safe.
Instructing you to wrap your arms tight around his neck, he smiles when your eyes meet his. Slick cock sliding against your hole, bumping against your sweet spot, he pushes into you slow and deep. With your legs around his waist, Gladio grips you tightly, groaning as he bottoms out inside of you.
He is so strong and his stamina is something to shudder at. If you want to top him, he's all for it! He just really enjoys you handing over the reigns and letting him not only show off but to please you in every way that you deserve! Gladiolus loves being able to fuck himself into you when you're pressed up against the nearest wall, laughing at how your little hole clenched around his thick cock. He nips and kisses at your throat, eager to feel you cum around him. It makes him absolutely ache.
Ignis: Missionary
For the most part, Ignis likes to keep things pretty simple and routine. That's not to say he doesn't enjoy other positions, but missionary gives him the best view of you. He loves being able to dote on you, to see your reactions close-up, and learn what exactly makes you tick.
When he's feeling especially needy, he makes you hold your thighs to your chest with his hand. His intense eyes fixate on where his cock meets your hole, transfixed on the way your body so eagerly sucking his tip in, begging to pull him in deeper.
His voice gets really husky when he's close, his accent thick, almost growling out of pure lust. Ignis lives to praise you, intertwining your hands and begging to cum together.
Noctis: The Butterfly
Being the one on bottom can sometimes make him really shy, so he prefers to be on top! Noctis is a service top through and through. If he's really tired but still really needs you and wants you both to get off, Noctis is pretty partial to the spooning position. It's just sooo easy for him to slip into your hole from behind. Letting his hands rub and stroke any part of your skin he can reach, littering the back of your neck with hickies, panting hotly, eyes trained on how well you take his cock.
When he has a bit more energy, he loves using the butterfly position! With your ass hanging off the edge of the bed, your legs propped up on his shoulders. He's sweet, stroking the soft skin of your thighs, losing himself completely; rutting into your hole with even, smooth thrusts.
Noctis isn't super vocal, mostly soft grunts and pleased sighs, but you can easily tell when he is feeling really good. How his head tilts back, mouth open in a low groan, and his blunt fingernails dig into the meat of your thighs. He lovessss the sound of the freaking bed beneath his thrusts and loves being able to make you feel good too!
Prompto: Cowgirl
Honestly, he's good with anything!! Sweet baby just prefers to be able to see your face! Prompto needs it like he needs air to breathe. He's certainly not opposed to positions like doggy, being able to jump himself into you from behind is great, it can just make him feel disconnected if he's not able to see your face or your reactions.
He wants to know that he's doing okay! That you're not in any pain or discomfort! Sex with him will be loving and fun. And while not opposed to quickies, Prompto would rather be able to take his time with you. He doesn't like calling it fucking, because that's not what you two are doing.
Prompto gets really whiny and whimpery. He's a very vocal man. Unable to control his soft moan when you sink down on his cock, cheeks ablaze, his hands flying to grip your waist firmly. It not only helps keep you balanced when you ride him, but also helps keep him tethered to reality. That you're real and this is really happening. That he gets to make love to you.
He also doesn't mind helping you carry the burden by keeping your thighs parted in his strong grip, thrusting into you from below in a cowgirl's helper pose. Last thing he wants is you sore in a not fun way :((
Cowgirl allows him to look at your face all he wishes with his back resting on the pillows. At any moment if you're too tired or if your leg starts cramping, he'll flip you two over (without pulling out if he can do so), and lie you back against soft sheets. Missionary is also pretty great too.(:
Sephiroth: Doggy-Style
Biter. He is possessive, a biter. A claimer. There's something so hot about having you face-down on the bed, white-knuckling the sheets as Sephiroth pounds into you from behind. He has a massive creampie kink and he's not gonna stop filling your hole until he is completely satisfied.
He's gonna fuck his cum back inside of you with his fingers, spreading his seed all around your hole. Nipping at your shoulder, he slams himself into you, using his strong weight to keep you pinned to the bed relishing in the sounds of your desperate moans and the bed wildly creaking; the headboard snapping against the wall hard enough to chip the paint.
If you're lucky, perhaps he'll decide to breed you, whether or not you're physically able to carry his child or not. He's gonna make you take every load you have to offer.
Reno: The Tight Squeeze
This man exudes switch energy and he's pretty versatile when it comes to the bedroom! Before doing anything, he loves oral. Reno thinks it's so fucking hot when he works his tongue over you, lapping over your sweet spots. His fingers dig into your thighs, keeping you pinned to the bed. He's messy, sloppily making out with your most intimate parts. He's gonna make you cum on his tongue before he even thinks about sinking his cock inside of you.
Moving you into the position he'd like most, Reno lies you down your tummy. Pressing his weight against your back, his hands rest on top of yours. Kisses soft like butterfly wings press along your shoulder; loving and sweet. Slowly he pushes himself inside of you from behind. Your legs remain straight while his legs are slightly spread, framing the backs of your thighs. Every thrust is sensual and deep, molding you to the shape of his thick cock.
Zack: Speed Bump
It's a lot like doggy style but has you lying down on your tummy with a pillow beneath your hips. The last thing Zack wants is for either of you to accidentally strain a muscle when trying to make the other feel good.
Warm hands stroke your back, settling down at the base of your spine just above your buttocks. Weepy cock slides between your cheeks, getting you nice and wet for him, his hips dropping a few inches lower to sink himself into your main hole.
It depends on his mood but he can be loud or he can be more quiet, letting subtle whimpers fall from his cute, kiss-bitten lips. His mind feels like putty, only able to focus on grasping handfuls of your ass and thrusting you backwards onto his dick. If he's not careful, he's gonna cum all too soon.
Cloud: The Rocking Horse
Not really one to have a preference, Cloud can be pretty fluid. One day he might prefer missionary to doggy-style, and then another he'll lose himself with you sitting on his lap facing him with his cock buried as deep as it can go. He's rather smug with how you gasp and whine at his neck, stroking your naked skin. Cloud adores the close skinship, just being able to snuggle close.
He likes how intimate it is. Allowing him to hone on how warm you are. Every clench of your hole around his cock and soft, breathy whimper. He definitely doesn't mind taking things slow especially after that initial first stretch of his cock rubbing along your walls. He gives you all the time you may need to adjust. With his hands on your waist, Cloud slowly rolls his hips against yours holding you close. A featherlight touch traces patterns over your body, marking an invisible map.
It's also the easiest way for him to pull you into a kiss. Sex needs to be slow and intimate for him sometimes. A breather. He wants to be able to take his time, to touch you all over, because he knows sooner rather than later; you always end up milking his cock so, so good. He's also a big fan of cockwarming.

noctis x fem reader whos the maid for the caelum family and they sneak around in the garden and smooch eachother up ...
“prince noctis, you must get back inside — i’m sure your father’s waiting—“
“nobody else is around, it’s fine,” he said, his hands instinctively finding their way on your hips — just like how they did all those days before. “you can relax, y’know.”
lashes fluttering closed, you let out a small hum as you muttered complaints against his lips, “you’re not exactly supposed to be out here.”
a small peck before you pulled away, laughing at how he chased you with his eyes still closed. “but i am, aren’t i?” the way you scoff is almost melodic to his ears, it’s not exactly a no, he thinks — that’s your version of saying, ‘just a bit longer’. your hands, now abandoning the metal gardening shears and instead finding their way against noctis’ shirt, the dark fabric crinkling between your fingers.
“i’m just saying—“
“so don’t say,” he leans in again. you swear you can taste the sugar of dessert on his lips even from all the times you had warned him not to today, saying he’d spoil his appetite for later. they’re warm against yours and so is the hand that comes to gently graze upon your jaw. he parts for just the slightest hint of air to mutter, “don’t even think,” kiss, “it’s just,” another kiss, “you and me,” another kiss.
only then, does he pull away — tapping a finger against your forehead when you gaze at him again and boy, do you make it hard not to fold whenever he sees you look at him like; a dazed glint in your eyes and a small pout on your pretty pink lips.
“always teasing me, huh?”
“we don’t exactly get many moments together, i like to take my chance when i can,” is all he says.
you lift a finger up at noctis, watching as his cerulean eyes follow the digit as it makes his way in the middle of his face before fixing a messy strand of dark hair. you huff, “go back, noctis.”
“and leave you all alone?”
“quit it.”
he brings a hand to your face again, lashes fluttering as his eyes flit from your lips back up to your eyes. “one last—“
“noctis—!”

Proposal
pairing: noctis lucis caelum x (female) reader word count: 406
just some short fluff for my fav boy of all time♡
In the glow of the moment, you find yourself smiling at the scene unfolding before you - Noctis, the true king, seated on the throne, flanked by Iggy, Gladio and Prompto, all in good health.
Your heart swells with joy, for everything has unfolded precisely as planned. Ardyn's malevolence is finally extinguished, and Insomnia is slowly but surely starting to get rebuilt. "Rise", commands your king, and you obediently ascend from your bow. His closed-eye smile beckons you closer. Without hesitation, you carefully ascend the stairs, stopping just before the last pair of stairs, locking eyes with your king.
"Y/N", his voice, a gentle caress, utters your name. "Yes, your majesty?"
His blue eyes meet your e/c ones in a silent exchange of affection.
He motions for you to come closer, to stand at his side. Realisation dawns - you’ve never been this close to the throne before. The only audible sounds are the echoes of your footsteps and your unsteady breath.
There you stand, before the king, feeling the weight of his authority. The urge to kneel seizes you, but a pale hand stops you from doing so, gripping your wrist. "Don’t… please", Noctis pleads, looking into your e/c eyes. Surprisingly, he rises, taking your hands into his. Your body tenses at the unexpected touch.
Staring into your eyes, he gently places his right hand on your cheek. "I have everything I could wish for - friends… maybe some exceptions…, home and the throne." Lost in his eyes and soothing voice, you can only nod.
"Yet, there’s something I've yearned for, chased for as long as I can remember." He releases your hand, lifting your left hand with his right, pressing a tender kiss on it's back.
"Please… be my queen."
A heavy silence envelops the room after Noctis's heartfelt proposal.
Your eyes widen, nerves fluttering in your chest as the weight of his words sinks in. The gravity of the moment hangs in the air, and for a brief second, time stands still.
In that pause, emotions swirl within you, and then, a tear escapes, tracing a path down your cheek. Unable to contain the surge of feelings, you find your voice, a soft yet resolute whisper, "I would love to."
Noctis's expression softens, a mixture of happiness and gratitude swirling in his eyes. Gently wiping away your tears, he nods, sealing the unspoken promise between the two of you with a soft kiss.

Overcoming Distance in Love P.A.
: ̗̀➛ Freeing oneself from long-held desires x
⚠ Genre/warnings: self-insert gen-neutral reader, situationship to lovers idk i just love prom and he deserves this sm, slight nsfw (heated makeout), pinning, atp cindy4life lol, this is so damnn
✎ Reading time: approx. 16min
₊˚ʚ It was as if the months apart had never happened, the chemistry between you still as strong as ever.
₊˚ʚ Prompto pushed himself away from the garage wall and began slowly making his way towards you. Each step he took was measured, his eyes never leaving yours.
₊˚ʚ Suddenly, it was as if a dam burst. All the pent-up emotions, the months of silence, the questions left unasked, came rushing out at once.
The night was quiet, and the stars above were the only witnesses to your departure. The journey to Hammerhead was cold and lonely, the silence only broken by the crunch of gravel under your shoes.
You made your way along the path, the lights of Hammerhead growing closer with each step. The thought of leaving the group behind weighed heavily on your heart, but you had made your decision.
As you finally reached the base of Hammerhead, Cindy, who was working late into the night, noticed your arrival. She looked up from her project, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of you alone.
"Well, now, ain't that a sight," she remarked in her soft drawl, taking in your state. "What're you doin' here this late and by yourself, darlin'?"
"i left the guys."
Cindy's curious expression quickly turned to surprise. "Left the boys, huh? Ain't that somethin'. What happened there, if you don't mind me askin'?"
"just- realised i never belonged."
Cindy's brow furrowed at your words, a hint of concern in her eyes. "Never belonged? What makes you say that?"
"At the end of the day, we girls can't afford to stay with the boys." you chuckled.
Cindy raised an eyebrow at your chuckle, a puzzled look on her face. "Why's that, darlin'? Nothin' wrong with a girl hangin' with the fellas."
"i caught feelings." you said, gripping onto your belongings.
Understanding dawned in Cindy's eyes as you confessed. She looked at you with empathy, seeing the pain behind your words. She took a seat on a nearby crate and patted the spot next to her, gesturing for you to sit. "Come on, sit down. Let's talk."
You hesitantly joined her, sitting on the crate and placing your belongings beside you. The night air was still and quiet, the only noise coming from the faint sounds of machinery and distant crickets.
Cindy looked at you, her voice soft in the moonlight. "So, you been likin' one of the boys, huh? Can't blame ya, they're handsome fellas. Which one was it, if ya don't mind me askin'?"
"Prompto" The thought of him sent tingles down your spine as you spoke his name out loud.
"Ah, Prompto. He's a good kid. Real peppy, always crackin' jokes. Can't really blame ya for falling for him."
She paused, her eyes studying your face, "But somethin' tells me it ain't as simple as just likin' him, is it?"
You played with your bracelets as you spoke nervously, a bit worried for Cindy's judgement of the situation you put yourself in.
"I felt like my feelings could potentially ruin the group dynamic so i left, realising I don't belong."
Cindy chuckled with empathy, "Sounds like a bit of a mess, darlin'."
"But it ain't your feelings that's ruining things. You have a right to feel the way you feel.
Cindy shifted slightly, turning to face you directly. "You ain't ruined nothin' by likin' Prompto. That's just how the heart works, can't always control who you fall for."
"it's fine! I'll get over it..."
Cindy could sense the resignation in your voice, and it tugged at her heartstrings. "It's not gonna be that easy, darlin'. Feelings like that don't just go away, especially not overnight."
You held your head up, looking at her sheepishly. "That's why I came here to ask you... If i could stay here, work, get my mind off of them?"
Cindy's face brightened at your request. "You wanna work here, huh? Well, we could always use an extra pair of hands. Plus, keepin' busy is a good way to keep your mind occupied."
She patted your back with a warm smile. "Sure, darlin'. You can stay and work. I'll teach you the ropes, and before you know it, you'll be a regular mechanic here at Hammerhead."
"thanks"
Cindy gave your shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "No need to thank me, darlin'. We all need a fresh start sometimes, and that's what Hammerhead's all about. New beginnings."
╴╴╴╴˚ೃ ╴╴
Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. You found solace in the rhythm of the garage, the familiar hum of machines and the hum of the desert night lulling you into a sense of peace. Your days were filled with the scent of oil and the occasional banter with Cindy and Cid, the gruff yet affectionate owner of the garage.
The work was challenging at times, but you found comfort in the routine. The distance from Prompto and the guys allowed you time to process your feelings and come to terms with your new life. Despite the occasional pang of friendsickness, you found a sense of belonging in your new role at Hammerhead.
Over time, you adapted to the garage life, your hands becoming calloused and greasy, your laughter and skills familiar to the regular visitors of Hammerhead, who welcomed you as one of their own.
But every now and then, thoughts of Prompto and the group would creep into your mind, like a faint whisper in the wind. You pushed them aside, reminding yourself of the reasons you had left in the first place. Still, the ache in your chest was undeniable, the memories and what-ifs lingering like a bittersweet perfume. It was a constant struggle, balancing the tranquility of your new life with the lingering pull of the past.
As the familiar sound of the Regalia's engine echoed through the air, you looked up from your work on a nearby car, your heart skipping a beat. It was the chocobros, here for some vehicle upgrades.
Noctis led the charge, followed closely by Ignis, Gladiolus, and... Prompto. Seeing them all again, so casually together, sent a pang of nostalgia and longing through you.
Hiding your feelings behind a neutral expression, you quickly tried to push down the emotions welling up within you. You feigned distraction, continuing to tinker with the car in front of you, hoping they wouldn't notice your internal struggle.
Cindy, however, had a keen eye for reading people. She noticed the flicker of emotion in your eyes as the group approached. She sidled up beside you, a knowing look in her eyes.
"You all right, darlin'?" she whispered, her voice low and understanding. "They can't see it, but I can."
"I'll be alright." You said, wiping oil grease from your cheek, giving her a reassuring smirk.
Cindy gave you a supportive smile, patting your back gently. "You've got guts, holdin' it together like this. 'Course you'll be alright. Just remember, I'm here if you need to vent, scream, or just a shoulder to lean on."
The rest of the group had been engrossed in their conversation, oblivious to your momentary struggle. Prompto's laughter echoed in the background, causing your heart to clench slightly as you tried to focus on your work.
The urge to run towards them and hug them all while spilling so many sorry's went through your mind for a split second, but you knew that won't do.
The guys approached the garage, peeking in at your figure working on some badass vehicles.
Everyone had noticed the transformation. With your new outfit, your voice resembling Cindy's Southern drawl, and your mannerisms changing to match hers, you had become a bit of a chameleon, blending into the environment of the garage.
Noctis, Ignis, and Gladiolus glanced your way, their eyes widening slightly as they took in your appearance and demeanour. But it was Prompto's reaction that caught your attention.
He stood there, stunned for a moment, his eyes wide as he stared at you. The gears in his head were clearly turning as he tried to reconcile the 'new you' with the person he once knew.
He seemed to be at a loss for words, the familiar banter and jokes that usually flowed effortlessly from him were nowhere to be found.
As the group settled in and started discussing the upgrades they wanted for the Regalia, Cindy smoothly took charge. She launched into a friendly negotiation with Noctis, Ignis, and Gladiolus, while Prompto lingered in the background, his eyes still resting on you occasionally.
You, however, tried to keep your focus on your work, pretending not to notice his glances. The sounds of the garage faded into the background as you tried to keep your hands steady and your mind clear.
Every so often, you'd catch a glimpse of Prompto in your peripheral vision, his eyes meeting yours before quickly averting them, looking a bit flustered. The air between you both was heavy with unspoken emotions, an invisible thread of tension stretching tight.
Cindy, ever observant, noticed the silent communication between you and Prompto. She suppressed a slight grin, her eyes flickering between the two of you as she continued her negotiations with the guys.
As they finalized the details with Cindy, the conversation wrapped up, and they began to prepare to leave. Prompto lingered a moment longer, his eyes still on you, his expression a mix of longing and hesitation.
The group sauntered out of the garage, heading toward the nearby restaurant, their voices carrying on the warm evening air. Cindy watched them go, then turned to you with a knowing smile.
"You sure you don't wanna join them, darlin'?" she asked, her tone gentle but laced with encouragement.
"it's better this way."
Cindy nodded understandingly, her smile turning slightly bittersweet. "I get it, darlin'. Sometimes, what you want and what you need are two different things."
As you continued to work on the car, your thoughts were a tangle of emotions. Seeing Prompto and the guys again had stirred up feelings you had been trying to suppress, and their departure left you with a mix of relief and a strange pang of emptiness.
Your heart ached with an unspoken longing, a silent plea for just one more moment, one more look into his eyes. The familiar banter, the laughter, the bond you used to share - it all seemed like a lifetime ago.
The hum of the car under your hands was a temporary distraction, but it couldn't drown out the persistent pull in your chest, the deep-seated desire to see Prompto again, to hear his voice, to feel his presence.
The hours ticked by, the sun slowly descending towards the horizon. The guys finished their meal and emerged from the restaurant, their voices echoing through the still night air as they discussed their plans for the night.
Your eyes found Prompto amongst the group, his face illuminated by the soft glow of the sunset. His gaze roamed over the garage and, for a moment, seemed to linger on you.
Your heart skipped a beat as you saw Prompto's gaze fall on you for a moment. Reflexively, you ducked your head, using your long bangs and ponytail as a makeshift shield, hoping he hadn't noticed you watching him.
The sound of the guys' footsteps approaching sent a jolt through you, your senses hyper-alert to every sound and movement. You could hear them saying their goodbyes to Cindy.
Noctis sauntered over to you, an intrigued look in his eyes. He leaned against the hood of the car you were working on, observing you quietly for a moment before finally speaking.
"You've changed a lot, haven't you?" he noted, his voice nonchalant but his eyes studying you with a mixture of curiosity and concern. "Still sharp, even in a new shell," he commented, his tone holding a hint of pride. "You're good at adapting."
You couldn't really speak up, although you felt like there was so much to say. You nodded in confirmation, getting back to work.
Noctis watched you silently for a moment, his expression a mix of confusion and a hint of frustration. It was clear he had more to say, but you had already shut him down. He gave a slight shrug, realizing that pushing further would be futile.
"Take care."
The guys climbed into the car, the Regalia's engine roaring to life as they pulled away from the garage, disappearing into the night.
The silence that settled over Hammerhead after they left felt deafening. The hum of the garage, the occasional rustle of the desert wind, and the beating of your own heart were the only sounds left in the stillness of the night.
The thought of them driving off into the night, continuing their adventures without you, stung more than you cared to admit. But you shook the thought away quickly, reminding yourself of the reasons you had left in the first place.
You turned your attention back to the car you were working on, determined to bury yourself in the familiar rhythm of the garage work. The sooner you lost yourself in the work, the sooner you could forget about the ache in your chest.
╴╴╴╴˚ೃ ╴╴
The days were filled with the hustle and bustle of the garage, and the nights were spent catching up over the dinner table with Cindy and Cid, listening to their stories and sharing a few laughs.
Time had flown by in a blur of car repair and tire changes. The days had been long but filled with the fulfilling sense of accomplishment and routine. 11 months had passed since you had left the group, the pain of separation slowly fading into a dull ache you had learned to live with.
The nights were the hardest, when the silence of the garage seemed deafening, and the memory of Prompto's face would surface in your mind, unbidden.
The sound of the Regalia's engine roaring into the garage was a welcome yet unwelcome intrusion one day. You looked up from the car you were working on to see Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto stepping out of the car, looking a bit weary but no worse for the wear.
They looked more seasoned, their faces sporting a few more scars, but their eyes were still filled with the familiar determination and bond they had shared since the beginning of their journey.
Noctis, Ignis, and Gladiolus greeted Cindy and Cid with some casual banter, their voices familiar and almost comforting. Prompto lingered a bit behind the rest, his eyes scanning the garage until they landed on you, as if time was repeating.
Your gazes met, and that familiar rush of emotions washed over you both. The weight of the past six months hung heavy in the air, a silent conversation passing between you both through the brief exchange of looks.
A mix of surprise, relief, and something else you couldn't quite put your finger on flickered in Prompto's eyes, but it was gone in an instant as Gladiolus said something, drawing his attention away from you.
You returned your focus to the car, pretending to be busy with tuning, but your heart was racing in your chest. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Prompto stealing furtive glances in your direction.
Every glance sent a jolt of electricity through you, reminding you of the chemistry you had shared before you left. The silence between you both felt heavy, filled with unspoken words, emotions, and a thousand questions.
You returned to your work, but the ache in your chest grew more insistent.
The evening descended upon Hammerhead, bringing a gentle coolness to the air. The stars above glittered like diamonds against the inky black canvas of the night sky.
The sound of footsteps in the garage startled you, breaking the peaceful silence of the night. You looked up to see the unmistakable silhouette of Prompto, framed by the dim light spilling in from the outside.
Prompto stood at the entrance of the garage, his lean frame casually rested against the door frame. His eyes were fixed on you, studying you intently. He didn't say anything for a moment, just watched you silently.
The air between you was thick with unspoken words, a thousand emotions swirling in the silence. Prompto's eyes were unreadable, his expression a mixture of curiosity.
You couldn't breathe, you couldn't speak.
Your heart stuttered in your chest as you met Prompto's gaze, and suddenly, you found yourself at a loss for words. Your mouth felt dry, your thoughts a tangled mess. It was as if his presence had sucked all the oxygen from the air, leaving you in a state of breathlessness.
You tried to say something, anything, but no words came out. You stared back at him, your eyes wide, your heart thudding loudly in your ears. The silence between you was deafening.
Prompto's gaze had changed. His eyes shone with a new, more masculine air, his once boyish features now sharpened and matured, giving him a more rugged and handsome look.
His blue eyes were like twin pools of shimmering water, seemingly drawing you into him. You noticed the freckles that sprinkle his tan skin like stars on a night sky. His hair was messy yet attractive, falling effortlessly in shaggy layers around his face.
You noticed this change as he looked at you. His gaze was no longer the playful and innocent gaze you had grown to know.
His gaze held a confidence that hadn’t been there before, and it sent a shiver down your spine.
Prompto seemed to sense your inner turmoil, the way your breath hitched and your eyes widened. His gaze softened slightly, a flicker of concern crossing his face.
Prompto pushed away from the door frame and began slowly making his way towards you. Each step he took was measured, his eyes never leaving yours. With every step, the distance between you seemed to shrink, the tension building silently.
As he closed the gap between you, you could see the myriad of emotions playing out in his eyes. He came to a stop just a few steps away from you, his hands shoved in his pockets.
"h-hello again..."
Prompto's expression softened further, a hint of a smile playing at the corner of his lips. "Hey."
His voice was soft, almost hesitant, as if he was trying to gauge your response to his presence. He looked at you quietly for a moment more, his eyes searching your face.
The air was filled with a mix of uncertainty and anticipation, both of you teetering on the edge of something unspoken.
For a moment, neither of you spoke. You just stood there, watching each other. Prompto's eyes held an intensity that sent a shiver down your spine, and there was a vulnerability in his expression that you had never seen before.
Suddenly, it was as if a dam burst. All the pent-up emotions, the months of silence, the questions left unasked, they all came rushing out at once.
Without a word, Prompto closed the remaining distance between you, his hands reaching out to grasp your arms. He pulled you towards him, his grip firm but gentle, his eyes never leaving yours.
You stumbled slightly as he tugged you closer, your body colliding against his. His breath was warm against your face, and you could feel the rapid beat of his heart mirrored in your own chest.
He stood there, holding you tightly, his eyes roaming over your face, tracing the contours, studying your expression. His fingers started to rub small soothing circles on your skin, sending small frissons of electricity down your spine.
The kiss was sudden and intense, his lips claiming yours with a desperate hunger. It was as if months of pent-up frustration, longing, and unspoken words were poured into that single gesture.
Your mind went blank for a moment, surprised by the sudden contact. But then, a wave of desire washed over you, and your body responded on instinct. Your arms reached up to grip his shirt, pulling him closer, as you returned the kiss with equal fervor.
His hands moved from your arms and settled on the sides of your face, holding you as he deepened the kiss. It was as if the months apart had never happened, the chemistry between you still as strong as ever.
The sound of the boys calling out for Prompto shattered the moment, reminding you that the outside world existed.
Reluctantly, you both pulled away from each other, your breaths ragged and your eyes slightly dazed.
You looked into each other's eyes, both of you trying to regain your composure, the passion of the kiss still lingering on your lips. Prompto looked torn, his gaze reluctantly moving towards the sound of the guys' voices.
You could see the struggle on his face, the desire to stay with you and the pressure to return to the group. He gave your hand a gentle squeeze before letting go, taking a step back, putting some distance between you again.
Prompto gave you a small, almost rueful smile, his eyes locking with yours. "Yeah, I'll make sure I do more damage to the Regalia during our trips..." He said, indicating they were all here because of his little mischief.
He glanced back over his shoulder at the direction the guys' voices were coming from. "Duty calls," he said reluctantly, a hint of disappointment in his tone.
Taken by surprise, Prompto stumbled back towards you, his mouth forming a small 'o' as you pulled him in for another kiss. The unexpected gesture caught him off guard, but after a moment, he melted into the kiss, his arms encircling your waist as he held you tightly.
When you pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours, his breath still a bit ragged. "Wait for me?" he asked, his voice a soft whisper.
"like i always do."
Prompto's breath hitched at your words, and for a moment, he just held you tighter, his eyes searching yours. A mixture of emotions flickered across his face - surprise, hope, and a touch of disbelief.
He closed his eyes and let out a slow exhale. "Damn it," he muttered as if he was both frustrated and relieved. "I can't leave now knowing you need me, can I?"
Prompto pushed you against the garage wall, his body pressing against yours as he captured your lips in another fervent kiss. The cool night air was a contrast against the heat between you. His hands explored the curves of your body, his touch leaving a trail of fire in its wake.
The world around you seemed to fall away, the only thing that existed being the two of you, your bodies pressed together, your breaths mingling in the dark. His lips left kisses against your neck, tasting and teasing, igniting a fire that you thought had died months ago.
The moment was interrupted by the sound of footsteps followed by a collective gasp. You looked up to see Noctis, Ignis, and Gladiolus staring at you two, their mouths hanging open.
They stood there, completely taken aback by the sight of you and Prompto locked together against the garage wall. You both froze, your eyes widening in surprise and slight embarrassment at being caught.
Noctis was the first to break the silence, a shocked and almost comical expression on his face as he looked between the two of you. "What the hell?" he blurted out.
Ignis and Gladiolus were both speechless, their eyes wide as they tried to process what they were witnessing. Gladiolus whistled low, breaking the silence with a low, appreciative "damn."
Prompto pulled away from you, his hands still holding onto your waist as he turned to face the others. He looked sheepish and a bit guilty, a flush creeping up his cheeks. "Uh, Hey guys..."
Noctis pinched his nose and you pushed Prompto lightly towards them. "You gotta go."
Prompto gave you an almost pleading look, as if he didn't want to leave, but seeing your insistence, he reluctantly let go of you, a hint of disappointment in his eyes.
Noctis, still looking utterly bewildered, just shook his head slightly, mumbling something along the lines of "I can't believe this." Ignis, chuckled at the prince's comment.
Ignis and Gladiolus had similarly surprised expressions on their faces, though Gladiolus just looked amused and somewhat impressed. He clapped a hand on Prompto's shoulder as they started walking back to the Regalia, Prompto throwing one last glance back at you before disappearing into the night.
The ache in your chest was replaced by a feeling of affection as you anticipated your next encounter with Prompto, envisioning another good memory to cherish.

“ ...make up for all the time we spent apart and keep you so full of me that you’ll forget what it’s like not to… ”
Noctis loves the way your legs lock around his waist even tighter in response to his promise. It reassures him that you want this as much as he did.
That you want him as much as he wants you.
Despite being left to raise your son alone (albeit with help from the gang and everyone else) for all these years as he fulfilled his destiny, it soothes the king’s weary heart to know that some things never change.
Although both of you were a little older, a little more damaged than the young adults who had to carry the weight of the world upon their shoulders, Noctis is relieved to have you clutching him as tightly and desperately as he did to you.
He’d long lost count of how many times he came into your greedy hole that seemed all too happy to receive his cum. With Aelius tucked in bed, it was time for mommy and daddy to get to work and give the boy the baby siblings he’d been asking for.
And because Noctis had most of his son’s childhood to make up for, how can he deny his heir’s wish?
If anything, the King of Light knows for sure that his own old man is probably smiling down from somewhere in the big sky at his earnest efforts to expand your little family.

Huh, maybe he should convince you to do it on the throne one of these days—

The Tent
Okay this is a change from dbh LOL
So im figuring out how to write for these characters, and its going to be harder because its 4 people so PLEASE forgive me.
Warnings: Tents, enclosed spaces with 4 boys
Chocobros x reader (can be taken as platonic)
Im sorry for any spelling errors or plot holess
SORRY IF THIS HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You woke up
And then wished you didn't.
It smelt like sweaty socks and boys.
Someone had shoved your back into their front, and was snoring VERY loudly. Another person had his socks in your face, sprawled out over what looked to be Noctis himself. So the case of the smelly socks was solved, that had to be Prompto. You didn't see anyone else in your line of vision, but guessing at how strong and muscular the arm around you was...
Gladio had turned you into his own personal teddy bear.
You gently tried to roll out of his grip, but he grunted and held on to you with a stronger grasp. You sighed and searched for another way out, you need air and to be away from this tent.
You briefly wondered if tickling Prom would wake him up so he could help, but you didn't really want to touch his feet.
So you sat, starting at the tent walls and daring to breathe through your mouth.
You thought about falling asleep again but whenever you tried, Gladio's snoring woke you up just as you were on the cusp of the dream realm.
What a terrible way to start your morning.
Finally, FINALLY you heard someone stir. You turned your body as much as you could in Gladio's grip and saw Ignis's hair over a massive leg.
"Ignis!" you whisper-yelled, hoping to get his attention. He turned around, sleep very much apparent on his face, and looked the entirety of the tent until his eyes caught yours.
"Miss Y/N?" He mumbled, raising an eyebrow at your position, Gladio crowding your back and Proms feet in your face. You had also felt Noctis was really close to your knees, you could feel his hair whispering against your skin. It was ticklish and uncomfortable.
Ignis huffed out a laugh, and you proceeded to beg him to help you.
"Why of course, Dear Y/N. However, I believe Gladio is going to kill me in his sleep if I remove you from his hold. I can help with Prompto and Noct however."
You sighed, sad he wouldn't even TRY not to get killed by Gladio. You watched him as he harshly rolled Prompto off of Noctis, and you were briefly worried that he would awake.
He just snorted and continued sleeping.
Ignis next went to Noctis to gently move his head away from your leg. Of course, Noct slept like a corpse so he didn't even notice. You took your chance to thank him, and ask a favor
"Can you leave the tent flap open I need air please."
Ignis nodded, and exited the tent, leaving the flap open. You started to bask in fresh air and morning light, but then the world turned upside down.
Gladio was rolling over, treating your body like you were an actual teddy bear.
He was now slightly under you, both arms surrounding you with the literal strength of a Titan.
And you were suffocating in his chest.
In ANY other scenario you would have been like "nice" . But in this one you could not breathe. And that was a problem. So you started gently saying his name.
Gladio groaned, but stayed asleep. You tried wrestling your arms out from his iron grip, but no use.
So you did the only thing you could think of.
Loud enough for him to clearly hear you, you poked the bear
"Ooo this book of gladios looks so good, im going to read it while eating chips and wipe my fingers on the pages and fold the edges to mark where i am. Surely he wont mind"
Suddenly you were shoved as his eyes shot open and he released you, sitting up to look around huffing.
"NO THATS MY COLLECTORS EDITION!" you breathed and rolled over as he looked around and found his book by his belongings.
Then he turned to you, brows furrowed and irritation clear on his features for 1. being woken up and 2. having his most prized book threatened.
"What the hell was that for?"
You moved onto your back and stuck your tongue out at him
"You were suffocating me in your pecs, I had to get free some how"
His anger faded into an embarrassed smile, and then a smug smirk.
"A lot of girls would pay real money to get suffocated in these pecs."
You rolled your eyes as hard as you could and he let out a hardy laugh, which accidently woke Prompto.
He snorted as he awoke, leaning on his elbows before asking "uh whats slo funmny?" and then promptly fell flat on his face, going back to his dreamless sleep.
You and Gladio stayed quiet before looking at each other and chuckling quietly. Gladio winked at you and turned to leave the tent. You watched his huge shadow as it moved across the tent, and then it disappeared.
After a couple of minutes, you heard Gladio and Ignis in the camp talking, and saw an opportunity to get more sleep. So you found your original spot and comfy sleeping bag, and settled in.
(A couple hours later)
You woke up, blinking your eyes slowly, feeling that you had gotten a good rest. You looked around and saw the Prompto had seemingly left, and you didn't see anyone else so that must mean Noct left too.
You closed your eyes again, resting them for a moment before you felt something moving around your front. You jumped and accidently smacked your elbow against the something. And that something groaned.
You looked down to see a mess of black hair nuzzling into YOUR blanket.
"Noct?" You leaned on your elbows and he looked up at you sleepily before groaning out a response
"you have the good blankets."
and then he was gone. But luckily, you had help to wake him back up.
Ignis had heard your surprised yelp, and knew it was time for Noct to get up. He had been chatting with Gladio and Prompto about how to pay for more car renovations, but that conversation could be put on hold.
Ignis grabbed a pot and one of his spatulas, before leaning down into the tent flap.
And then he started hitting them repeatedly together.
He saw you cry out and put your hands over your ears, and Noct just sat up slowly and glared at him.
Ignis smirked and left the tent when he saw Noct leaving, and you followed shortly after.
You watched Iggy put his utensils away and you went straight for the middle of the circle of chairs you all had put together the night before. Noct had just slumped down his camping chair when you started talking.
"Why do you guys love piling on me so much when we sleep? Like I wake up and your all over me."
You stood stalk still and waited for a response. You heard groaning and looked over to see Noct open one eye and looking at you.
"Smell nice and warm"
and then he was asleep.
Ignis sighed and walked over to shake him awake and you turned to see Gladio and Prompto nodding their heads. Gladio was the first to say something.
"I think he's right. Your a little babe space heater." You flushed, and he and Prompto laughed seeing your face.
"Yeah and you uhh, kinda smell a lot like roses." was Proms response, and now you watched him go red. Gladio slapped him on the back and Ignis chuckled quietly, continuing to try and wake Noctis up.
So your consensus was to buy more blankets, and an air freshener.
Fair enough.

Your happiness had always been fleeting when it came to him.
Memories playing behind your eyes became commonplace in your newfound routine that they melded into an unlikely and oftentimes unwelcome companion. They followed and nipped at your heels frequently, constantly, that they might as well have been your missing shadow. To some extent, perhaps they were. You didn’t remember them being so tormenting, however, with reminders of his easy smiles when you were given the opportunity to rest or the flashes of his figure walking in your peripheral. Even on your own, it was impossible to travel someplace his boots hadn’t touched when they tracked all the way to the ruins of an archipelago. It was almost embarrassing how many times you fought off the habit of switching into the proper stance for a link strike, only for a daemon to fall and leaving you to be the only one present.
Removing any and all emotional impulsivity, especially on the battlefield, to maintain a clear head and a single-minded focus on the safety and reign of your prince was a demand given by the Crownsguard. Namely on the battlefield. You, however, wore your scars and now-faded daemon-born wounds with pride, contrary to the exasperation that dripped off the mental image of your instructor. But now, past the age where the light shone bright, things were vastly different that you weren’t allowed to be lenient. You knew that biting back the cause of the blur in your vision and the ache in your chest would only develop into a bad habit. You went through with it, anyways, knowing fully well you couldn’t convince yourself to break it. Or maybe you weren’t ready to, not just yet, and each passing night was another you spent reinforcing it.
It was a coincidence that you were on your way back to Hammerhead when your phone buzzed. You considered, if only momentarily, outright ignoring it, but the hypotheticals swarming your imagination decided otherwise. You shifted your weapon, heavy and sticky with pungent gore, into your opposite hand to smuggle the device from your pocket and answer it with a measly greeting. Maybe it was the creeping exhaustion getting the best of you, but you allowed yourself to hope. To be a little reckless. The knowledge you’d have another mission kept your feet from dragging before; Talcott’s news had you sprinting like your life depended on it. All consideration flew out the window, stealth long foregone. Looking back, you refused to believe it was some sort of angle from the divine, not when they’ve done nothing to earn your good graces.
After ten years of indulging in it, you liked to think that you had a good grasp on that bad habit of yours. And yet each memory associated with Takka’s Pit Shop hit you so violently that you nearly stumbled through the doorway and fell flat on your face as unceremoniously as one could imagine. Almost. You were better than that. Your heels dug into the concrete and you steeled your expression before the tears could bubble, steeled your heart and shoved it a little further into that little box you couldn’t stop it from peeking out of. Taking one impossibly heavy step after the other, you waded your way through the swamp of memories as if they weren’t dragging you deeper and deeper into your own self-inflicted agony. It proved to be a sudden reminder of why you tended to avoid the restaurant.
Past the countless crates of dwindling supplies and parts and the tables covered in potions and weapons, it was almost exactly how you remembered it. The grills and stoves were covered in fine layers of dust, yet reeked of grease and meat that simultaneously burned your nose and prodded at your hunger. Only one of the many booths were occupied by actual people, but indistinct chatter and the clatter of dishes wandered through one ear and out the other. The outline of Takka’s figure hovered behind the counter, offering the menu and new hunts to your group between requests for ingredients. The familiarity of a forgotten routine hit you like a back-strike from a daemon and you suddenly became ten years younger, unburdened by the responsibility stained deep within the material of your uniform, of your title as a Kingsglaive.
Shared glances were your only welcome and returned greeting as you dropped into the seat beside the Shield, accepted by the mix of confident anticipation hovering around you all and the suffocating silence. Reminiscing on how much time had passed sounded like an actual nightmare so you didn’t bother, but your body soaked in the feelings that came with it like a sponge. You could reach out and reassure yourself that the four of you were still here, after all this time. Gladio’s comfortably and most likely instinctively arm curled over the seat behind your neck, but the space next to you was terribly, uncharacteristically empty. You could still feel the phantom of his leg hooked over yours so casually as dark hair poorly hid his burning ears, or how he leaned against you like a pillow while he picked his vegetables off of his dish and plopped them onto yours.
You half-expected someone to speak up, for Prompto to say something positive in an attempt to lighten the heavy mood, though it never came. You could see his jaw, framed by facial hair, working towards verbalizing whatever was churning back and forth in his head that never came. Ignis’ fingers drummed over the table in a slow rhythm that could have been mistaken for boredom or giving himself something to do, but it was an action you knew exposed everything his expression did not. Gladiolus, meanwhile, tossed less than subtle glances out the window and over your head every few seconds, frowning when the subject of his attention was nowhere in sight. It was when the front gates squealed, loud and sharp, that everyone sat straighter and rose to their feet in an instantaneous reaction.
He maneuvered so smoothly around Talcott’s truck with long strides and even steps that he might as well have been gliding, strands of black bouncing with each movement. He eventually stopped and stood tall before the four of you, taking everyone in with a breathtaking fondness. Prompto beamed and tugged on your sleeve with poorly restrained enthusiasm while Ignis spoke on everyone’s behalf on your other side. Countless words fumbled along your tongue, but none of them became coherent enough to meet your lips as your heart fluttered in your chest. The advisor’s, however, were a million years away and only grew farther as the world shrunk in on itself. Your friends faded into faint presences and the dangers stalking in the darkness went with them until the only ones remaining were you and him.
The reunion between you and your prince had always been a figment of your dreams; other times of your nightmares when the fear of being too weak to witness his return crept up your spine and soaked deep into your bones. You refused to let the hope of it all slip through your fingers, however, no matter how steadily or how much time passed because you knew he would come. It was destined, but the part of you that kept scuttling back after being kicked to the curb pleaded to whatever Astral would listen that even a sliver of his motivations would be to return to you. For so long you prepared the words, the actions, of what you would when you could reach out and touch him, but now they had become so distant. Not because you lacked the confidence or had forgotten them—they were so meaningless to someone so untouchable.
The man before you wasn’t a stranger nor was he your prince, but you knew it was him deep down all the same. He was dressed for the part, you would give him that, with dirt and ash staining the same clothing you last saw him in, down to the slash in his coat from the monster Ravus had become. You expected him to remained as young as he was back then, you realized in that moment, but he wasn’t. He was so much older, so much wiser, than the prince you were helpless in pulling out of the Crystal. His hair was much longer and brushed almost entirely out of his face and fluffy in its own flattened way, and his eyes still sparkled like stars in the night sky, yet held a strange sadness and longing beneath enlightened wisdom. Yet that smile and the soft rumbling of his voice was so familiar that it hit you without a shred of doubt.
The man before you was your Noctis, yet all of the delight bubbling within you was gnawed and spat on by an inexplicable, gut-churning dread.
Your king took the lead and you all fell into step behind him, beside him, in a routine you believed had become long forgotten, as if no time at all had passed. It was almost too easy when your steps, once heavy and losing their sense of direction, regained that airiness and purpose until you didn’t care where you were led. If he was there, you knew everything would be alright. You would be alright. The words tumbled so effortlessly from your tongue and your very soul quivered when a laugh rumbled from deep within his chest, a smile cast your way over his shoulder that was so genuine and utterly handsome. Though the solemness of his questions was distinctly palpable, the answers seemed to replace it with something considerably more hopeful and resolute that spread among those within Hammerhead.
You hated how you could remember that single night out of the hundreds as if it was burned into your memory; engraved and carved into your skin until it left gnarly scars you could never hide beneath clothing or smiles. The relief and joy settled into worry and then dissipated into dread and heartbreak so quick it was a wonder if you ever felt that way to begin with. The clatter of silverware had fallen into silence as Noctis spoke—or rather, tried to. The campfire illuminated his face in a gentle orange light that you considered picture perfect in that moment, each word stumbled over like a fawn using its legs for the first time. His gaze refused to linger on any of his Kingsglaive for more than a few seconds and hesitance tinged every part of him. It wasn’t born by the responsibility forced upon him, but it was certainly the catalyst to revealing it for everyone to hear.
The savory aftertaste of the meal so tenderly crafted lost its flavor within seconds as silence permeated the night sky until the crackling of the fire filled it in. Your respect for Ignis and your self-restraint were the only reasons you didn’t let his belongings clatter to the ground. Your king continued to speak between commentary from your friends, voice soft and resolute, yet finished with another stab to your heart that was barely being held together with duct tape and glue. Everyone was so...so accepting. Hurt, you could see it too well, but they were all so strong. Why? Why did they have to be that way? Why did you have to be the odd one out again? Why wasn’t anyone saying anything to stop him? Why weren’t you? You weren’t sure who nudged you or when the attention shifted onto you, but you swore to follow him and would always be there. That much was the truth; your trembling smile was not.
It isn’t healthy to be strong forever. Let yourself be “weak.” Someone told you that once upon a time, but who? Nyx? Cor? Cid? Aranea? Perhaps someone from back home, before you were considered an outsider? You didn’t remember and it didn’t matter. Not when that advice felt so insignificant and worthless. Everybody was visibly crestfallen, yet twice as adamant and determined. Inspired, even. Everyone but you. Why were you the only one struggling? Why couldn’t you be as strong and composed as them? You didn’t want to struggle. You couldn’t. The daemons within the Crown City would kill you and you were sure you would have because your mind happened to slip elsewhere if it wasn’t for the potions on hand. Maybe the Chancellor would toy with you and your insecurities like some kind of puppet if you weren’t careful.
When you sat down in the underground shelter, the anguish you had kept locked up for so long, had slipped out and made itself known. The panic was quick, pumping through your veins like adrenaline, and you shot forward. Your fingers curled around and pierced into soft skin and the small part of yourself that somehow remained stared back with eyes too bright and emotions too vivid. Then you squeezed until your joints hurt and your muscles rippled. The little you, the lost and hurting yet helpful part that bore your face of ten years prior, choked and gasped for air as their eyes fluttered and rolled back. They desperately scratched at your wrists and writhed while their mouth moved, but only puffs of hair that sounded suspiciously like a name came out. You pushed them down with your remaining strength, slammed the top, and nailed it shut.
As you stood at the crossroads of the beginning to the end, you hated the man before you. The acceptance radiating off of him burned far greater than Ifrit’s flames as he gazed upon the four of you within the minimal light the Citadel welcomed. What few interactions you had with His Majesty had become yet another haze in your memory, but Noctis had never looked more identical to his late father. He stood tall in an outfit he would have once squirmed in and complained about until his voice ran hoarse, and you couldn’t see, let alone sense, any of the uncertainty the Noctis of ten years ago wore on his sleeve. You refused to believe that his eyes—damn him and that fondness, knowing he’s walking into his own coffin— lingered on you longer than it had on the others; you refused to give yourself that sort of hope.
As he ascended the stairs and the rain rolled down his back, everything in your body demanded you to stop him; to run after him; to abandon the oath you swore yourself to in favor of a much more selfish, personal one. But how could you? Why would you? Everyone, yourself included, dreamed of the day that you could be able to bask in the warm such an attain a victory that once felt so distant. That would defeat the purpose of standing beside him all this time and aiding him in reclaiming the Citadel, after all. The single person capable of driving the Starscourge from Eos was finally at the precipice of doing exactly that, and you would stop that? For what, feelings that he was never aware of? Feelings he could may have become enlightened about to be aware of, but went unspoken and undeveloped? You’d damn the world in an endless darkness and misery for that?
Yes, a small part of you whispered. The other: No. He wasn’t even yours and now he never would be because you were too cowardly to say something. Once upon a time the only concern among more day-to-day tasks was that he was your wayward prince and you were trying to create a place for yourself in a city that spat on your very existence. You were never sure where to start when it came to delving into something deeper with him, but it never mattered. You were his friend and he was yours, your light, and that was enough, but you wanted more. You still wanted more. Then his engagement to Lady Lunafreya was announced, an arrangement of peace, and it all tumbled downhill. The Oracle deserved better than to be caught up in your tangle of feelings and the conflict it would create if you vocalized them. So you didn’t.
A low, gravelly moan reverberated through the air behind you while elongated talons scraped against the concrete covered in splatters of a materializing violet liquid. Alongside your brothers in arms, you turned your back to the staircase and gave attention to the daemons that crept from the darkness of which they were born from at your feet. Your fingers curled around your weapon a little tighter than absolutely necessary as your battle-instincts jumped into action. Soon enough, you couldn’t even hear his footsteps. Whether it was from the pelting rain or the steadily growing distance, you didn’t know. You didn’t check. An obnoxious and utterly distracting heat pooled at your eyes and seeped down your cheek, but you furiously blinked them away. You took aim, bent your knees, steeled your weeping heart, and attacked.
The light that blessed the world again was meaningless, or maybe that was just you.
You fought hard for a chance to see this day. You fought hard for a chance of survival against the odds that seemed ever stacked against you. You fought for a fruitless ideal that manipulated itself until it warped into a painful truth, and yet your so-called victory hardly felt like one at all. It was undeniably better than failure, but just barely. Thousands of people were dead, the survivors traumatized and left to pick up the pieces, the gods nowhere to be found, and the world was but a remnant of what it once was. The light was terrifyingly warm as it crashed over you in waves and while it beat the cold shadows and warded off the reminders of what once lived with, it was tormenting all the same. It caressed your marred skin like white magic and the bitter part of you wondered if this was some half-assed attempt at an apology from the Astrals.
Insomnia had seen better days and it would only be with time that it would regain its lost glory, even if you didn’t spearhead the recovery and rebuilding process. Ignis had too much faith in you and your leadership qualities, or maybe he was just trying to direct your focus elsewhere. The entire city was in shambles, with so much debris and torn clothing scattered about haphazardly that it would take an extensive amount of time and work until the streets alone were relatively safe for public use. The looming buildings you recalled once marveling and gaping at were carved in half, shops you loved destroyed, and monuments but a memory and facet for historians to drool over, but it still claimed the sleek magnificence only the Crown City possessed. Not even the distance between it and the haven you were staying at could change that.
You knew you were only twisting the knife until the wound became self-inflicted and infected, but you couldn’t look away no matter how hard you tried. Insomnia seemed to have a newfound respect for you, horribly enough. A whisper of a thousand voices at once beckoned you to return to the space you carved for yourself there, but your boots simply dug into the dirt. Perhaps there was a place for you there, if only by your friends’ sides, but without him would it still be home? You weren’t ready to face your friends, not just yet. Just a little more time you stopped keeping track of. You long lost count of how long it had been since you stepped in the throne room and left as a group of four, but your hand became accustomed to having your weapon at your side rather than some otherworldly arsenal. You weren’t sure how to feel about that yet.
Was it wrong for you to wish that he was still sleeping in that Crystal? There was no changing the inevitable, but delaying it wouldn’t do any harm, would it? You would still be able to dream in beautiful ignorance and motivate yourself to get up with a purpose. Maybe then you’d be able to face your friends and be able to look them in the eye without the stab of poison and shame pumping in your veins. No, Noctis wouldn’t have wanted that and you were sure he would have been disappointed if he heard you now. He gave himself up to give the world a chance and free it from the beasts that inhabited the darkness and reigned over this twisted fate. Maybe in the grand scheme of things, your hurt was just a small price to pay for it. Who knows, he could be happily married to Lady Lunafreya in the heavens or whatever afterlife awaited them.
With a severe lack of elegance, you dropped onto your rear and tossed your legs over the cliffside to dangle over the waves that crashed several feet beneath. The scenery, once quite gorgeous and perfect for Prompto’s numerous gallery of photographs, blurred into a million hues of blues and greens and greys until they meshed into the most hideous combination of colors imaginable. You lowered your head as your lips quivered and your chest ached as if it was crumbling in on itself. You sucked in a breath between your teeth as your throat burned and constricted until it hurt to let out even the most meager of exhales. You furiously wiped at your eyes and the wetness that stuck to your lashes, but it had little effect when the rough leather dragged across the raw skin and only seemed to make things progressively worse.
And then the world shrinks. You’re alone. Your home is gone. Your friends are gone. Your prince is gone. Your king is gone. Your family is gone. You’re weak. You’re desperate. You’re hurting. It hurts. Everything hurts. It’s all you can feel. All you can sense. Noct, where are you? Prompto? Gladio? Iggy? Help. Please help. You’re bent over. Your hands are shaking. You can’t stop. You can’t breathe. You can’t breathe. You can’t breathe. You can’t-
Soft fur and a smooth cloth rested beneath your palm and a fuzzy snout nosed your hand, as if guiding you through the motion you hadn’t realized you had been repeating in the first place. Something smoother than leather but rougher than a concerningly dry leaf glided across your cheek again and again until lines of slobber remained. A weight sat heavy in your lap while dull nails dug into your thighs, all without the pain or discomfort that would have (and should have) come with it. A dark grey that wasn’t quite black engulfed your vision and two tall ears flicked when your uneven breath brushed over them. The world, albeit slowly, gradually, almost unwillingly, expanded around you until the haven and the clear sky with dancing clouds returned. Everything still hurt, but it was a distant feeling when amber eyes stared back.
Amber eyes watched you with such poignant and overwhelming empathy that it ripped another round of tears out of you without so much as your permission. The emotion in his eyes was far too human for comfort, too understanding and relating, but you couldn’t help but lean into it, lean into him. A curled tail slowly wagged behind him and thumped against your knee, inadvertently or not directing your attention to the rhythm it created. His patience was nothing short of divine and he didn’t so much as draw away as you sobbed and clung onto his fur and waited for the world to piece itself back together around you. He whined and nudged your jaw when your attention drifted or the panic set in with a violent and insistent return, simply watching with the most kind eyes you had ever come to know.
You liked to think that Umbra’s presence and constant appearance in your life was meant to be a comfort. He was, there was no doubt about that, but you also wondered if he was meant to be some sort of gift from a god who just so happened to take pity on you. You were a simple human with no fancy title or bloodline, yet the Messenger chose to walk beside you, care for you as though the roles weren’t reserved. You fed him, accompanied him, kept him from walking into a trap meant for game, and though you knew none of that was really necessary, he indulged you. He rode in the sidecar you attached to your bike, laid with you beneath the stars, assured you were fine and okay and safe when you eyed the shadows moving in your peripheral, and became an unsuspecting rock in times like now.
Sometimes you forgot that the Messenger had lost not only Pryna, but a best friend and beloved companion of his own in the late king. You had heard little from Noctis about him, how he and Pryna had been around since his childhood and time in Altissia. He, too, had lost friends and possibly many more that spanned even more before you were even born. Your home was decimated, your king resting alongside his ancestors and his wife, and your idea of normal was on the brink of being nonexistent and barely coming back together to form into something that bordered on sad and pointless. It may have been if it wasn’t for Umbra. You curled your arms around him and let your tears pour. You curled your arms around him and as he rested his head on your shoulder, something dripped onto your shoulder in return.

— You lost! Show it! — Gladio shouted right next to [Reader's] ear.
— You cheated — she gasped, clutching the wooden sword.
— All's fair in love and war!
— We're not at war, we're just doing training exercises — the little girl replied.
She wasn't happy with the sparring result but she kept her promise. She rolled up her sleeve, revealing the tattoo on her forearm. The black line formed an ornately written "Farewell"
— I was hoping for something better.
— Do not get smart up. You don't have the skill yourself yet.
— It won't be easy to find a soulmate with something like that. I hope my skill will be better.
The girl didn't want to admit it but she was thinking exactly the same thing. Many people were given simpler instructions. She has always dreamed of a timer or a red thread. They didn't require much attention. Meanwhile, she was given a word that anyone could have said to her.
— Maybe I'll hear my soulmate say goodbye to someone? Or will this be a slogan describing our entire relationship? You know... we'll be such a nice couple that we won't want to be apart?
***
[Reader] stared at the three friends who had come to the training ground. She was glad Noctis wasn't with them.
She thought no one would come here in the middle of the night. She had been able to avoid meetings over the past few days but it seemed like that wasn't the case this time.
— I don't want to talk to you.
She swung her sword, practicing the sequence.
— Listen, you can just sit here for me but he doesn't want to go anywhere without you...
Gladiolus didn't finish his sentence because Prompto kicked him in the ankle with all his might.
— How can you say such things to a girl? — Prompto was outraged. — Sorry, I have to send a text message quickly. — He took out his phone.
Ignis looked at the other two and sighed. He adjusted his glasses. He felt the need to do this whenever he got irritated.
— Why are you avoiding the prince?
— Damn it! We all know why. We are not making idiots of ourselves.
King's Shield was tired. He wanted to put the whole trip behind him. Altissia was far from Insomnia. They had a long journey ahead of them and he felt like he was babysitting Noctis instead of preparing for it.
The prince insisted that he wanted to see [Reader] at his wedding to Lunafreya. He proposed it to her and she awkwardly excused herself and they haven't seen each other since.
— Wait... so we know why she's avoiding him? — Prompto frowned in concentration.
It took him a few seconds to understand what Gladiolus was talking about.
— Aaah... That's what you mean... — He tapped his forehead lightly.
— Let's end this circus. You're coming with us. Even the king said it was a great idea.
— He didn't give me an order.
[Reader] knew she was arguing like a little child but she had a hard time hiding her reluctance.
— Stop being so selfish! — Gladio knocked the training sword out of her hand.
He did it easily. He surpassed her in terms of physical strength. Not to mention his skills were next level.
He froze the moment he saw her face. The moonlight helped him see tears in the corners of his eyes. She turned her head to wipe them gently.
He felt guilty.
They had been friends since childhood.
— Damn it! — He pinched the bridge of his nose. — I'm sorry, okay? I'm just... fed up with it.
Ignis didn't say anything. He looked at him reprimandingly and Gladio realized that he was in for a good sermon. Ignis took an embroidered handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to the girl. She accepted it gratefully.
— It's not your fault... none of you... Let's be honest, neither is it Noctis's fault. But so what? Should I be a bridesmaid at a wedding I don't want to see? Watch someone I've been in love with for so many years get married? Congratulate my rival with whom I never stood a chance? I want Noctis to be happy but... that doesn't mean I have to watch it all.
The girl felt all the emotions she had been carrying since the announcement of the engagement slipping away. Grief gripped her heart and the words stuck in her throat. Her fingers tightened around Ignis's handkerchief. There was a deafening silence, broken only by the night chirping of crickets.
The friends looked towards the entrance. She followed their gaze.
He stood there.
— We'll leave you two alone — Prompto suggested.
He hoped [Reader] wouldn't find out that he was the one who notified Noctis via text message. Otherwise he would be in big trouble.
— I think we need to talk — said the prince.
— You didn't overhear everything? — she asked bitterly.
Blue eyes stared at her intensely.
— I want you to tell me about it properly now.
— NO. — She sat down on the stone wall. — Do you know why? Because it doesn't make sense. I won't change anything.
— You know...
— I know! You are responsible for Lucis... And you will be king one day... And you love Lunafreya... And we need this marriage...
Noctis looked at the brightly shining moon above his head.
It was as if in its light he could no longer hide anything.
He felt he had failed as a friend.
He knew for a long time. He just never wanted to let that thought come to the fore. It was easier to push it to the bottom of his mind and tell himself it was just a delusion. He was afraid to face a feeling he didn't reciprocate.
— [Reader], if you had told me earlier...
She felt a pang in her chest. He had no soulmate skill. Fate didn't decide for him. He chose Luna of his own free will.
— I wouldn't change anything. You love each other and I want you to be happy but please — she took a deep breath — don't make me go there. My heart can't bear it.
In her imagination she saw a beautiful bride. Blond curls were tied up in a high bun and the white dress rustled with every step. The Oracle held a bouquet of her favorite blue flowers as she looked for her fiancé.
Her fingers gripped the stone tightly.
He could give an order if he wanted.
— Then stay... but promise me our friendship won't end like this.
The prince felt that the thread that had connected them for a long time was breaking. He wanted desperately to save it, even though he felt it was over. All the years they spent together were gone.
— I promise that I will come after the wedding, together with your father, when I get myself together a bit. — She headed towards the exit.
— Farewell — he said with a slight smile.
She glanced briefly at the tattoo that had been with her for many years.
She didn't answer him.
***
— What is it about? — Noctis asked.
Ignis entered the room with a newspaper in his hand.
— Read it.
The Fall of Insomnia , said the headline. Gladiolus read it aloud, feeling growing anxiety.
— Is this some joke?
The prince wanted to tear out the newspaper and make sure he had heard correctly.
— There was an attack. The Imperial army has occupied the capital — Gladio continued. — The Treaty Room flashed brightly. Explosions were also heard. When the smoke cleared, the king was found... dead. — Gladio looked up.
— No... But... Wedding... Altissia...
— I know. That was the plan but... all the headlines in town can't be wrong.
Ignis looked at Noctis with regret. There was no way there could be a mistake.
The boy felt his heart beating fast and a cold sweat break out on him.
— Liars! — he shouted. — We have to check that.
— Shall we turn back? — Prompto assured.
— Yes.
***
— Betrayal! Protect His Majesty!
[Reader] managed to kill three opponents before she fell to the ground. Lights flashed all around and a loud explosion deprived her of hearing.
She put her fingers to her chest in surprise. A red, sticky liquid flowed from the deep wound. She tried to make a sound but was interrupted by darkness.
***
— Maybe these will be the last words you hear from him? He'll see you and decide it's time to say goodbye or something — he laughed.
— Gladio, I'm going to kill you!
— I'd like to see you try — said the new, short, dark-haired boy.
He poked his head out from behind one of the pillars and curiously walked to the middle of the training ground.
— I think it's time for me to introduce you to the spoiled prince. Noctis Lucis Caelum and his titles that I don't feel like listing...

༻laundry day
—"gonna shrink your shirt"
noctis lucis caelum x reader
Synopsis: Loving Noctis is like wishing for rain on a hot summer day. Irritating and Pointless.
Tags: [Words: 1,129], pining, angst, set before the game, reader is gender neutral
a/n: fun fact i finished writing this while waiting for my laundry to dry LMAO
“Pom, what are you doing?” You take the lollipop out of your mouth and gesture towards the house of cards Prompto was building on the floor of the laundromat.
“I’m trying to keep busy.” Prompto mutters as he carefully places the next card on the tower.
The laundromat smells like chlorine and despite the slight breeze you feel whenever the fan hanging by the door turns your way, your skin feels sticky from sweating so much.
It was a hot summer day and Ignis decided that today was cleaning day at Noctis’ apartment.
“This room is not fit for a Prince, let alone the soon-to-be King.” Ignis had said in his ever so posh voice.
You and Prompto couldn’t weasel your way out and were included in the cleaning regime since you were already hanging out at Noct’s place. You guys weren’t doing anything in particular—just sitting in front of a fan while playing King’s Knight on your phones.
The four of you spent the day scrubbing Noctis’ apartment down floorboard by floorboard, top to bottom. Your feet are sore and astrals know you need a shower.
When you guys were done with that, Ignis prompted things to go by quicker if the four of you split up. Ignis and Noctis went grocery shopping while you and Prompto were on laundry duty.
“The fact that it’s not even our OWN laundry we’re waiting for.” Prompto leans back on his hands with a groan.
A high pitched beep plays from the dryer and you jump off of it to unload the first batch of clothes.
When you open the dryer, a white piece of folded paper falls out onto the floor.
“Oh, hey. I guess Noct left something in his pockets.”
You pick up the note and start to unfold it when a hand snatches it out of yours.
“No!” Prompto clears his throat.
“No!” Prompto clears his throat.
Your eyes widen and you furrow your brows in confusion as Prompto starts to walk away from you.
“Psh, this is just…a list of princely duties.”
Prompto sings the last part as he folds the paper up again.
You nod your head, suspicious. Prompto tries to avoid your eyes.
“Prompto, what’s that?” You say slowly.
“Nothing!”
You stare the blonde down until he shrinks his shoulders.
“You’re not gonna wanna read it.” Prompto mumbles.
“Try me.” You say, walking up to him and taking the note from his hands with your thumb and pointer finger.
It’s a letter from Noctis addressed to you.
Your heart skips a beat and you bring the note closer to your face.
You skim through it, brushing past him telling you about his engagement to the Oracle and how he’ll be leaving Insomnia to be wed to her because you didn’t need to cry over that again.
What sticks out to you is the line in the smack middle of the letter.
‘The truth is I’ve liked you for a long time.’
‘I’ve liked you.’
‘I like you.’
You zero in.
Because Noctis is Noctis and he holds his feelings in until they implode on himself, he rambles on for a couple of paragraphs about his feelings for you, but you skim past that, too.
Because how could he? How could Noctis confess now of all times?
You pale as you lower the note.
“I told you, you shouldn’t have read it.” Prompto sympathizes, pouting.
“Did you tell him?”
“No, you told me not to.” Prompto says as if it was such a sure thing.
You fold the paper up, putting it in your own pocket. The letter has reached its receiver.
You and Noct have always had this kind of tension in your friendship. Lingering touches and words that could mean more than platonic. It’s a tricky type of thing. Something you don’t want to break. You and Noctis were both cowards, afraid of tipping the boat and drowning, because what if it didn’t work out? What if these feelings were a phase and once you both got into a relationship it would lead to regret?
For a second, Noct’s letter, his words, made you feel like maybe this was something worth feeling, but ultimately it isn’t. People are dying in the never ending war and in order for it to end Noctis has to marry the oracle. It’s what the king decided.
That’s why the letter was crumpled at the bottom of his dirty cargos.
It’s why you’ll bite your tongue and stuff it in your own pockets.
“But this is a good thing! Isn’t it!” Prompto smiles in hopes of cheering you up. “Noct likes you, you like Noct.”
You give Prompto a sad smile before wincing.
“Prom,” You say his name solemnly, “This doesn’t change anything.”
Prompto’s smile dies and he sighs.
“Yeah, I know.” Prompto says after some silence.
You take Noct’s clothes out of the dryer, put them in a basket for Prompto to fold, and start on the next batch.
The dryer springs to life again and you heist yourself back on top
You gnaw on your lollipop stick for a bit.
“When are you guys leaving?” You mutter out.
The question makes Prompto pause, but he resumes folding.
“In three days.”
You nod once, slowly.
It’s sunset when you and Prompto walk out of the laundromat, and with only a few steps there’s Ignis and Noctis.
Noctis—with his stupid spiky hair, and his adoring blue eyes, and his red-bottom combat boots that look way too big for him.
It feels like you’re seeing him with new eyes even though he’s always been like this. Now, it’s different because you know he sees you, too.
Prompto eagerly greets the two and teases Noctis about how long it took for his laundry to dry and how great of a friend he is that perhaps it calls for a royal favor to which Noctis mutters out a, “yeah, right.”
“I can’t wait to get back home.” Noctis groans and rolls his neck back.
He shoots you a teasing smile, but it’s different from all the other ones now that you know what you know. You see the hidden glint in his eyes behind his bravado and your heart aches for a future you can’t have.
You give him a small smile back, heisting the laundry basket up before making your own complaints.
The truth is he never planned to confess to you and neither will you.
Whatever you and Noctis have now is all you’ll ever have—
You know that.
He knows that.
Loving Noctis is like wishing for rain on a hot summer day.
Irritating and pointless.

“Ahh…an—!”
You sighed to yourself as you forced your eyes to keep from rolling back.
Blondes always made the prettiest of sounds. You hummed against him, pulling another beautiful moan from his flushed, red lips.
You glanced up at him, finding that those straw-colored lashes were concealing those beautiful eyes of his.
That wouldn’t do.
You back off of him, calling his name. “Prompto.”
Finally, he graced you with those beautiful baby-blue-sky eyes.
"You've got to stay quiet." You nodded to the side, gesturing to the open hall. "We're in public, y'know?"
He nodded and went to close your eyes, but you stopped him. “Ah, ah…keep your eyes on me.” He flushed even harder, giving you another nod before placing a hand over his mouth.
“Ah
You smiled. "Good boy."
You flattened your tongue, giving him a wide, long swipe. Curled your tongue around the head and flicked the very tip. Then dipped your tongue in the slit as a bead of slick spilled from within. And your kitten licks kept him on the edge.
If his hisses and whines were anything to go by, you were doing a pretty good job.
This happened for a long while before he finally spoke up. " P-lease ..." God, the way he whispered it had you dripping. The whole ordeal did.
You contemplated playing with him for a little while longer but decided to grant him mercy. You devoured him with more vigor, even using your hands to speed along the process.
But just as he was about to fall apart, several clacks of heels echoed from around the corner.
"My, my, the prince was in such a foul mood today, wasn't he?"
"He was. I've heard it's because of the engagement."
"Supposedly, the girl is of Solheim lineage, which makes her a powerful ally to the kingdom."
"How peculiar. No matter, it's simply a political matter, nothing more."
"And you are happy for such a reason, I wonder why?"
Their group burst out in a fit of giggles that faded further down the hall.
God, you hated it here. There was always someone saying something behind your back. Something about your status, your engagement with the prince. They’ve even gone as far to say that you’ve fucked every guard, that one surprised you just a bit considering you made sure to cover up your previous sexual escapades.
You removed yourself from him, readjusting both your clothes until you looked presentable enough to emerge from the dark corner.
“Wha—huh?” Prompto stuttered, obviously unaware of those women's babbling.
“It’s nothing. I’ve just decided that I don’t want to finish this here… or alone.” You smiled at him, the gaze hiding another deep desire behind it. “I think you deserve to be worshiped.” You stepped closer to him, lips right against his ear.
“By a princess and prince.”
Then you were out of his space again, holding back a smirk. He looked so pretty looking this red.
“I’ll go inform his highness. We’ll have someone to fetch you later tonight—”
“Actually…he just texted me and, uh, wants to see me now.” Prompto was staring at his phone in disbelief.
You took a peek and weren’t surprised to see the prince’s leaking cock sent as one of the attachments.
You hummed, “I guess he’ll be seeing both of us then.” then gave Prompto a kiss on the temple. “Let’s continue where we left off, yes?”
“Won’t that end in…” He gave a wobbly smile.
Of course, Noctis will be mad if the two of you walk in and continue your activities without a second glance, however…
“I don’t care. I told you that you’d be getting worship, so he’ll either join me or be good and wait” You smiled at him, “But I’m sure he’ll be more than happy to oblige.”
You stepped out into the light, “Well then, I’ll head off first to change. Please get him as riled up as possible, beloved.”
Prompto watched as you disappeared down the hall, then brought a hand up to his forehead.
“Those two will be the death of me, I swear.”
Listen, if I ever write a part two for this because maybe this is connected to the other one, I don't know yet. Prompto's genitals will be revealed (pretty sure I know what I'm gonna do, keep in mind that he's not human wink wonk).
Anyway, eat up.
Again sorry y'all got this so late, Tumblr

Brain and Heart
Ignis Scientia x reader
Warnings: Fluff, rejection
Requested by @batsandbirdsposts
Tysm for making this request! I hope you like it!!! (I’m sorry it took so long 😭)
————————————————————————
Stepping outside, you stared out at the sky full of stars above. Even if they couldn’t deliver any comfort tonight, you needed this moment to clear your head.
Then you heard the soft crackle of the fire. When you turned your head, A small luminescent campfire glowed at the center of camp. Ignis was sitting next to the flame.
His features were softened by the glow of the fire. A soft streak of light highlighted his face. His hair was disheveled, contrasting with his usual spiked pompadour.
He looked content… almost ethereal, like some sort of celestial being. You approached slowly, to not startle him, “Hey there, Specs.”
He didn’t look surprised when he caught sight of you and simply said, “Care to join me?”
As he gestured towards the ground, you walked towards him and sat next to the small patch of grass he was patting.
Ignis shifted into a more comfortable pose before breaking the silence with his eloquence. “It’s not like you to be up so late…” Looking directly at the embers of the campfire, he continued. “Is something troubling you?”
“I could ask the same,” You tried to give him a smile despite the abrupt awkwardness in the silence.
For a short moment, Ignis said nothing. He kept his gaze firmly planted on the embers as they rose into the air. “It’s been difficult to fall asleep lately…” His voice softened, then so did his eyes as he looked at the sky.
A sigh left your lips as you ran a hand through your hair. “Same here… Something’s been on my mind.” You swallowed hard, almost too afraid to admit it.
You fiddled with your hands in your lap, staring at the fire alongside him.
His gaze drifted from the stars, towards you, and settled on your face. It seemed as though he wanted to say something else but he refrained. He merely kept his eyes on you, a silent plea for you to continue.
So you did, “It’s about Noct…” you paused, taking a deep breath. “How much I care about him.”
Ignis observed your face, his eyes boring into yours, which somehow brought you comfort. He sighed quietly, “I think we all feel that way…” He glanced at the flames dancing in front of him.
After a few moments, his voice returned to normal, sounding distant. “Perhaps you shouldn’t dwell on your feelings… But don’t forget who you are. We will never lose Noctis, but we should not hold onto him so tightly.” A faint hint of concern shone briefly in his eyes. “We all love him…” Then he added in a softer tone, “even if he has trouble showing it in return.”
That statement gave you pause.
“That’s not what I meant-“ You said, trying to explain your point of view to him. But then you realized that you weren’t even sure what you meant. “I just… wish things were different.”
“You wish he would’ve chosen you instead of Lunafreya? You have feelings for him, do you not?” He interjected with utmost speed and punctuation.
You shook your head vehemently. “Not really. I mean, yes. Of course, I do. But that’s not the point.” Iggy’s glass fogged up with surprise, but it was only faint. “What exactly is the point of this talk, (Name)?”
“I don’t know…” You replied truthfully, looking anywhere but at him. Silence descended on the two of you again. You leaned backward until you were laying flat on your back, staring up at the black sky. You felt yellow all over, going stiff from the anxiousness.
Neither of you spoke until Ignis broke the silence once again. “Do you love Noct?” His emerald gaze fell upon you once more. The question caught you off guard not because of its nature, but because of his tone when he asked. He sounded anxious.
It sent a shiver down your spine, making you want to curl into yourself even further. You wondered if you should lie. “Well… I… uh…” Words wouldn’t come to you. Cottonmouthed, all you could manage was a defeated sigh. “Yes, I love him…”
At that simple answer, Ignis visibly relaxed, although you could tell the tension in his shoulders wasn’t entirely gone. “I see,” he muttered softly.
The fire was beginning to die out, getting dimmer and dimmer. “And yet, you do not pursue anything. What happens to the relationship between you and him if you keep waiting?” The fire cast eerie shadows over both of you; the flickering light made it seem like the two of you were facing each other.
You slowly rose back into a sitting position. “I want to tell him, I do. But…” You paused again. The words stuck in your throat.
“But I don’t think it would go well.” You balled up your fists against your leg, looking at the ground sheepishly.
Ignis draped an arm around your shoulder and pulled you close to him. “A confession isn’t guaranteed to change the circumstances. All one can do is hope. That hope may be futile, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be attempted.”
You leaned your head against his shoulder, shrouding yourself in silence for yet another long moment. “How do you get to be so wise, Iggy?”
As expected, a warm chuckle escaped his lips. “Human nature I suppose.” He squeezed your shoulder gently before releasing his grip, “Though I’m not as knowledgeable as I seem.”
He turned his head slightly and looked at you. Although it might have looked innocent, it held the slightest trace of worry within it. “There are times when people need encouragement to make their way forward. And I am always here to assist.”
His expression softened, turning gentle.
You smiled weakly in response. Just after a while, he stood up from the ground, looking down at you and offering his hand. “Get some rest. Tomorrow might bring with it many chances for you.”
The next day, you woke up with a heavy feeling inside your chest. The sun shone brightly through the tent flap, painting everything orange and yellow.
It was a new day, and you were brimming with confidence thanks you Iggy’s encouragement.
Leaving the tent, you immediately searched for Noctis. Though he wasn’t at the camp when you searched around.
Noctis was sitting near the lake’s shore, holding a sword in the palm of his hand as he watched the water. He looked like he was roughed up pretty well; no doubt he was training with Gladio all morning.
Seemingly lost in thought, the prince had a vacant look on his face as though he was thinking deeply about something. Every so often his hand would run over the blunt end of the blade before looking at the lake once again.
His features were hardened by the reflection of the lake on his skin, shielding the scenery around him in a soft blue dye. His eyes were narrowed with a cold expression that gave you butterflies just by looking into them.
Hair disheveled, and skin covered in bruises, Noct managed to look as majestic as ever.
After a few moments of watching him silently, you took a deep breath and decided enough was enough. “Hey, Noct.” You greeted him in a cheery tone as you approached him.
At hearing your voice, Noctis looked up and blinked. “Hey,” he managed in an exhausted tone. There were dark rings under his eyes; not having gotten enough rest either. And didn’t seem to be in the mood to talk.
“Gladio beat your ass again?” You chuckled softly with an amused smile tugging at your lips as you crossed your arms.
Noct only scoffed and rolled his eyes at the comment, planting his sword on the ground. “Only cause he’s a monster. All about ‘power’ and ‘strength’… Stuff like that…” He groaned as he stood up, rubbing the hell out of his sore neck.
Stepping away from the rock you were just leaning on, you moved closer—leaving enough space between the two of you. “I could give you some pointers if you wanna try again-“ At the utterance of your suggestion, he cut your words short.
“Yeah right. I’m done.” He interjected almost comically, sitting on the grass and then falling onto his back. “I don’t think I can take any more of this.” He threw his arms out, causing the grass under his arms to rustle.
A small laugh escaped you as you sat beside him, looking up at the clouds in the sky, which appeared to be forming a perfect circle. “It’s only for a little while longer,” You turned to him with a hopeful look in your eyes.
“Once you get married…“
Suddenly the air was taken from your lungs. Your body went rigid as the words registered in your brain. “Married…” You repeated much quieter; your mood turned sour.
Noctis seemed to sense your sudden shift, as his gaze shifted towards you, softening as he studied your reaction.
For a brief moment, you saw confusion and uncertainty flash across his face before he completed your statement. “Yeah… Once I marry Luna, we’ll have an advantage over the empire.” He raised a brow at you as if you weren’t already aware of the fact.
You swallowed hard, trying not to grimace from the embarrassment you felt at the moment. “Right…” You managed to breathe out, clearing your throat. “Then you’ll be leaving… With her?”
Noctis raised both brows and leaned in your direction. “Of course not. Where did you get that idea?” Even though he didn’t sound annoyed, but rather curious, it still caused you to shrink down a bit inside.
You looked away, avoiding his curious gaze. “Nothing... just wondering…” An intense amount of heat flowed to your face, making you sweat.
Silence engulfed the pair of you again, and tension continued to grow stronger by the minute. It didn’t help that tears were beginning to spill from your eyes, yet you didn’t know why.
“What’s wrong?” He prodded, scooting closer to examine you. However, you were afraid of what might happen if you looked back at him.
You sniffled, “Because…”
Your head hung low from the embarrassment you felt. Taking a moment to wipe your eyes until they turned dark and puffy, you sucked up every ounce of courage you had left, forcing out:
“Because I love you.”
Noct’s hitching breath was uncomfortably audible, “What?” He was taken aback by your words. His body went stiff as he sat there wide-eyed and genuinely surprised,
“You love me?” He repeated a soft utterance of your words, leaning back on his palms and continuing to look at you. “Like, really love me?”
You only managed to nod your head. A few more minutes of silence passed before you began to curl up into a ball.
“I know it makes no difference when I tell you,” Your eyes stayed fixed on the grass in front of you. You couldn’t stand to even imagine the look in his eyes anymore. “But I wanted to.”
He sighed, running his fingers over the grass as he stared straight at the lake, “I always saw us as just friends. You, me, and the guys…”
Visibly uncomfortable with his choice of wording, Noct searched for a better term for his feelings. “I like you all the same.”
“As friends…” You returned in a gloomy tone.
“No, more than that…” He shook his head and waves his hand out in front of him like he was denying your statement. With a frustrated grunt, he forced out the only thing he would think of:
“I love you as a family!”
It didn’t hurt as much as you thought it would. The word “family” hit you right in the feels and almost brought fresh tears to your eyes, but the heartache was soon replaced with a wave of relief.
“That’s the only way I can say it,” Noctis showed a hint of remorse for making you feel upset. “Sorry…” His apology was genuine, though I necessary since he wasn’t at fault for anything.
“I’m sorry for getting all mopey…” You uttered in a quiet tone, calming yourself down until your breathing was even again. “I knew what to expect and shot for it anyway,” You laughed softly, wiping your tears on your sleeve.
You felt pathetic crying over something like this, but Noct was surprisingly understanding.
He stood up from the grass, offering a hand to you. You accepted it, allowing him to pull you up off the ground.
After brushing yourself off a bit, you glanced back up at Noct and saw that his arms were outstretched. An invitation for a hug—something he rarely ever did.
You took the chance, hugging him tight. Closing your eyes, you used the time to lean into him and let your bodies sync in both pulse and movement. You sighed,
“Thank you for listening.” You mumbled into his shoulder, holding him tighter with a tender embrace. He patted your back gently, saying nothing before pulling away.
You could tell by the expression on his face that he probably wanted to say something else but decided against it in the end. “You gonna be okay?” He asked awkwardly.
You nodded, “I think so.”
Walking back uphill to the haven, you noticed Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis packing up the camp as they prepared for the next voyage.
As they spotted you walking toward them, they waved excitedly, “Yo! You’ve been gone for a while now. Did something happen?” Prompto inquired, dropping everything as he faced you.
“Was just talking to Noct over there…” You pointed behind yourself, continuing to walk towards them.
As Ignis stepped away from his makeshift kitchen space, he stepped towards you cautiously. “How did It go?” He whispered, placing his arm on your back and leading you away from the earshot of the others.
“Guess.” You groaned, leaning into his touch; eventually pressing your forehead on the upper part of his shoulder.
“You knew what would happen and told me to talk to him anyway. You set me up.”
Though your tone was more playful than hurt, a small part of you regretted even confessing to Noct in the first place. If only Iggy never talked you into it.
You felt his hand travel up your back, slowly making its way to your head—where he stroked your hair softly. “My apologies… it is simply impossible for someone to predict what will happen in a situation such as this.”
His eyes seemed to smile at you, yet you could hardly tell through the tinted lens of his glasses.
Sighing, you closed your eyes tightly, feeling your stomach churning... “I knew how it would turn out, and still told him like an idiot…” You felt nauseous.
Ignis gave a soft chuckle, “Well… I’m sure he won’t hold it against you.” His tone was hopeful and gentle as he squeezed your shoulders lightly. He always tried his best to make you feel better.
You nodded absentmindedly. “Still sucks though.”
Ignis, still holding you close, brought you to his cooking space—he hadn’t finished packing it all up just yet. “It will get easier once you get used to it. If you need to talk, you know I’m always here.”
Your lips curved up a bit as you felt a warm feeling enveloping your chest. “Thanks.” You mouthed, stepping away from Ignis and taking a seat on a log.
He stopped in his tracks when he saw you sit down, anticipating your next action behind a blank stare.
“Gonna join me, Specs?” Tapping the space on the log beside yourself, you gestured at him expectantly. Ignis looked over at where the others stood, who were doing well on their own, before nodding and following your instruction.
As soon as he was seated, you reached over and grabbed his hand, squeezing it slightly. When you released it again, he looked down at his fingers and smiled faintly. The two of you sat together without saying anything, just enjoying a platonic moment of intimacy in silence.
The calm breeze gently blew through your hair, bringing with it a cool feeling, making you sigh content.
Once again you leaned against him, resting your head on his shoulder. It did feel like Ignis was the only one in the group who truly understood you. You could tell him anything so easily and he would listen with or without reply.
He would just listen with patience and understanding. That alone made you believe he cared about you, which made it easy for you to trust him more and more.
With his hand wrapped around yours, Ignis continued to rub soothing circles on your wrist, hoping that it would calm your nerves a little more.
You closed your eyes, humming softly under your breath and letting out a long breath.
The two of you remained in silent comfort and warmth, enjoying each other’s company while being able to do nothing but enjoy it.
When the others started to make their way back to join you at the camp, neither of you made any move to get up.
Instead, Ignis kept looking at you and smiling fondly as he watched you relax further into him. His hand squeezed yours again as he turned his head to look up at the sky.
Your breathing was growing softer and eventually, you fell asleep right on his shoulder. With a soft chuckle, Ignis continued to hold you against him while uttering quietly to himself:
“I love you, (name).”

hi!! could i request ignis with a reader who's super flirty? i just think iggy is so attractive and want to know how you think he'd react to being told that lol
the crickets around you chirped in tune with the inner melody playing in your head, a soft song muttered under your breath and a tap of your fingers left you satisfied while you watched ignis work. his back was facing you; his sleek, dark grey button-up hugging on him while he made another dish. after the day you guys had, he couldn’t help but make some more food per your request— especially since gladio and you had gathered some herbs nearby. observing the man in front of you some more, you stared at him with no shame. after all, it wasn’t everyday that ignis didn’t gel his hair.
the brown color of his hair now parted with an acacia orange as it accentuated even the tiniest strands of hair. pieces of it covered the back of his neck and what you presumed was the front of his face. silently, you prayed for some water to come his way so you’d see more of this side of him. he looked so content, ignis always did when he was cooking.
you couldn’t stop the next words tumbling from your mouth. “have i ever told you how pretty you look with your hair like that?” even through the distant crackling of the camp fire and the chattering of gladio and prompto talking about only astrals know what, your voice cleared its own pathway throughout the faint noises and wiggled its way into ignis’ head, hoping his soon heating cheeks would be covered with an excuse of the fire.
he still faced away from you, hand languidly stirring the pot in which contained a stew from whatever ingredients were able to be gathered in the seas surrounding the galdin quay, provided to you guys by noctis’ skilled fishing. ignis cleared his throat, swallowing thickly before responding, “thank you, although i wouldn’t have thought that ‘pretty’ was the right word to describe a man such as myself.”
getting up to help him clean up, you watched him out of the corner of your eye; his glasses glinting with the warm glow of the nearby fire. you hummed mindlessly, almost dismissing his claim. “nonsense, anybody can be labeled as pretty.” and to that, he chuckled—brushing off his pink ears. “i suppose.”
letting out a giggle, you made ignis’ heart flutter once more. his head turned towards you, an amused smile resting on his face. he admired the way the auburn flames lit up your face as it highlighted your features; he sunk in the way your eyes crinkled when you beamed, along with the way your shoulders shook with your soft laughter. looking back at him, you pointed at his face. you paused a bit, turning your attention back to cleaning the cutting boards and cutlery which had been used by the brute of food known as noctis. always such a messy eater, you recalled. even gladio ate cleaner than noct did.
blinking up at him, you huffed again, “c’mon iggy, you know it. you’re even heating up— at the truth, might i add.”
hearing the familiar nickname laced with your sweet tone of voice fall from your lips made his heart beat a little louder— ( even if he’s heard it plenty of times before from his friends, hearing it from you felt different. almost strange. )
he scoffed amusedly. “it’s quite hot out here if you haven’t noticed.” blaming his pink cheeks on the vennaugh haven you lot had made yourself comfortable in, he brushed off your comments as you rolled your eyes at him with a mumbled, “whatever you say, iggy.”
“don’t start with that now.”
“what? what’d i do this time?” you grinned, tilted your head at him with a tone intertwined with feigned coyness. he sighed, shaking his head. “oh,” you said, dragging out the vowel perhaps longer than you needed to, “you just don’t wanna give into my super charming character. i get it.” putting your hands up in a defensive manner, you pushed more. he groaned, eyes still focused on the pot. “yes, quite the charmer.”
you scoffed dramatically, “why did that sound sarcastic?” he hummed in denial, shaking his head at your silly questions. “admit it,” you said, “you’re just salty i made you blush.”
“you did not.”
“i did, too.”
and before you could keep going on with this foolish game of who’ll crack first, a voice cleared their throat behind you. the two of you turned your heads only to see noctis with a hand on his hip and cocked head. ignis and you exchanged a glance as you both paused your movements. noctis grinned lazily as he teased, “what’re you guys talking about?”

Prompto
this man is so grateful to you
like you are his saving grace
we all know this little dummy will find his way to fall in a ditch and hurt his arm by accident
without you, he'd probably be dead LMFAO
he will always walk up to you and in the cutest little voice be like... "y/n, I hurt my arm again"
and you'll just jokingly sigh and fix him right up
he always asks you about how you do it and all that and finds it really cool that you are able to fix him up with herbs and stuff
and when you cook for him??? he would never tell iggy, but he loves your cooking more ;)
also the fact that you're good with animals makes chocobos love you which means they are always just around you and that makes prompto love you more <3
Ignis
BRAINROT
you two definitely were the enemies to lovers troupe
like you were competing
you both could cook and take care of the others so it was immediate competition
you were always pushing each other around in a kitchen or whatever
but then you realized it was easier for you to deal with stuff as a team
and ofc you fell in love <3
he thinks you are very talented and honestly, when he's hurt, he will come to you and always feel bad lol
like he will feel like a burdan
please remind him that he isnt <3
he will love to learn how you use your herbs and stuff <3
overall, he just loves how amazing and talented you are and is so thankful about how you help the rest of the group
Gladio
this man trusts you with his life
he is always getting beat up and needs you there by his side to help
he appreciates it a bunch
and you'll always call him a big dummy when he gets hurt and then get straight to working on him, but that always makes him blush
make him ramen
please
like homemade stuff
please stop this man from eating cup noodles
but yeah, he is always getting hurt so to watch you work on him and help him out means the world to him
Noctis
this man gets too embarrassed to tell you he's hurt, so you always have to spot it
omg what a child
you will always get on his ass about that and he'll just be blushing as you work on him
ignis gets mad because you are super nice about Noct being picky and will make him food he enjoys instead of trying to make him something he doesnt like lol
you will baby him a bit because he is the king and he needs to be protected <3
he gets blushy when you do and act like he doesnt like it, but we all know he does <3

hi !! I saw your requests are open, so I was wondering if you could do a Ignis Scientia x gn or male reader where the reader has stress related anger issues and gets really upset sometimes, and is afraid Ignis will leave them for it even if they don't mean to act that way? it's completely okay if not and take your time !
a final fantasy request? sign me up.
☆ stress, insults and tears.
ignis scientia x male reader [he / him]
sypnosis: above.
the lowercase is intentional !
"i hate you!" [name] yelled out, tears streaming down his face as he looked at ignis. "leave me alone!" he said before running off to the bedroom and slamming the door.
ignis sighed as he saw [name] storm off. he knew that [name] was going through a stressful time due to the work that has piled up on him recently, and he wanted to help. yet, [name] was closing himself off and being frustrated with everyone and everything. ignis had only asked [name] if everything was okay, but [name] just stormed off. he knew [name] didn't mean what he said, he just wanted to help.
ignis didn't yell, shout or insult [name]. he understood what [name] was going through. but of course, ignis still wanted to help. he had seen [name] go through stress periods multiple times throughout their relationship, and he was willing to do whatever he could to help. ignis wanted [name] to know that he wasn't alone, that ignis was there to help. so, whatever it would take to get [name] to know that, he'd do it.
of course, ignis did what he knew best. cook.
the brunette made his way to the kitchen to start making something. he decided something sweet would do the trick and save [name] from some tears. ignis was going to make some chiffon cake. it was warm, light and fluffy - bound to be something that both ignis and [name] enjoy.
ignis mixed some eggs, flour, sugar, oil and cream into a bowl to get the cake mixture. it already started to look and taste good. ignis really hoped that [name] would enjoy eating it as much as he's enjoying making it.
ignis placed the batter into a special mold before placing it in the oven, waiting patiently for it to cook. the aroma wafting from the oven was making him drool, he was so excited for how the cake was going to turn out.
meanwhile, [name] was still in his and ignis' room. he was sobbing to himself, breaking down after all of the stress that had been piled up on him. he didn't even realise the smell of the cake ignis was making. but, once he'd get a taste, his mood would definitely be lifted.
after around an hour, ignis pulled the cake out of the oven. he carefully took it out of the mold before cutting a piece for himself and [name]. he then placed the plates on a tray with some coffee and tea before making his way to the bedroom.
ignis knocked on the door gently. "[name], can you please let me in?" he asked, his voice nice and gentle to not alarm his boyfriend.
[name] immediately perked up as he heard ignis' voice. his sobbing subsided for a moment as he let out a quiet sniffle, wiping his face with his sleeve. he then gets up off of the bed to open the door.
ignis is there outside of the door holding a tray with two plates of chiffon cake, a selection of teas and coffees alongside some cups. [name] stands there in shock, he wasn't expecting this. he thought ignis was going to be mad at him for yelling and saying such insulting things.
"i made this for us, we can eat inside the bedroom.. i'll clean up later. i just want to make sure you're comfortable." ignis says in a gentle and soothing voice. it's evident that he really cares for [name], and [name] appreciates that so much. he starts to tear up again as he nods in response to ignis' suggestion.
the couple then walk into the bedroom and they sit down on the bed comfortably placed in the middle of the room. ignis hands [name] a plate with the cake on it before preparing [name]'s favourite drink.
[name] sniffles a bit before blinking to try and make the tears go away. he takes a bite of the cake and he immediately melts. it's nice and warm and fluffy.. it felt like he was eating heaven. whatever ignis cooked tasted like heaven, really.
"ignis.." [name] started after he finished his bite. "why.. why did you do all of this?" he asked, thinking that ignis hated him for what he said earlier. "i was so rude and you still went out of your way to bring me cake and a warm drink.. i don't get it.." [name] whispered, a small frown forming on his face.
ignis listened as [name] spoke, nodding along. "i did it because i care. i know that you get stressed sometimes because of work and just life in general, so i wanted to do something to make you feel better." ignis replied, placing a hand on [name]'s thigh whilst caressing it gently. "i should've not pushed you so far to answer.. i just wanted to know why you were so stressed out. i'll keep it in mind next time to not bug you so much, i understand it's annoying." the brunette chuckled slightly, hoping to lighten up the mood.
[name] just frowned even more, if that was even possible. "don't.. don't you want to leave me? i get angry over nothing and say horrible things to you but you still act so politely. i don't understand." [name] sighed, a few tears welling in the corners of his eyes. "and this isn't the first time this has happened! why are you still with me?"
ignis just leaned forward and placed a kiss on [name]'s forehead, trying to soothe him. "i'm not leaving you because i know you don't mean the things you say." ignis begins, still gently caressing [name]'s thigh. "plus, i love you too much to leave you. whether your stress makes you angry or sad, i love you either way. it also means that i get to help you overcome your struggles." ignis hums, kissing [name]'s cheek this time.
"i.. i still don't understand but i love you too.." [name] replies, feeling somewhat weak now and in too much of a vulnerable state. "i don't want you to leave me.. but i'm scared that you will one day because you'll realise how much of a freak i am." [name] mumbled, taking another bite of his chiffon cake.
ignis pulled [name] in closer, not caring about the tray on the bed or the liquids that could potentially spill. "[name], you are not a freak. this is normal, i want to help you. you're not alone." ignis whispered, kissing [name]'s forehead. "i'll never leave you, your flaws make you, you. and i love all of you." ignis gives [name] a light kiss on the lips, wanting to let his boyfriend know how much he cared for him. "i could never leave you."
[name] slowly nodded, a few tears running down his cheek as he continued to eat the cake. he didn't want to respond to ignis verbally in that moment, so he just nodded. he felt so warmed knowing that ignis actually cared. ignis' kind words were exactly what [name] needed.
"promise me you'll actually talk to me and tell me what's wrong?" ignis said, stroking [name]'s head to be as close and as intimate with him as possible in that moment. "i don't want you to think you're alone, because you're not." ignis continued, pressing more kisses all over his boyfriend's face.
[name] nods again, looking at ignis with a small smile now. "i promise.. i'm sorry that i close myself off so much, it's just.. hard." [name] whispered, sighing as he finished talking.
"it's okay, i know what you mean." the brunette replied, speaking softly and gently throughout. he cared about [name] a lot, and it pained him when he saw his boyfriend hurting.
the two men then spent the rest of their day eating cake, drinking some tea or coffee, laughing and kissing. it was fun, and [name] finally felt stress free.
☆ author's note: i hope you like this anon! please keep requesting, i love writing for people. to my mutual who requested the p2 of the wolf in sheep's clothing im so sorry that i keep delaying it!! i just have no ideas of what to write :( when something comes into mind i'll get to work.
