𖥔 ࣪˖ summary: you and Enzo are in the same event, meeting each other for the first time, and of course the paparazzi wanted a few shots with you both. Which later led to conversations between the two of you.

𖥔 ࣪˖ note: he looks rlly good in that pic doesn’t he.. but apart from that I hope u guys enjoy this. this is in spanglish bc I just think the dialogue in spanish fits the guys better. also I’m not rlly good with writing imagines. this would be like my first time I publish one so I’m sorry if it’s ass lol. btw i’m sorry if I get anything wrong i’m not uruguayan or argentinian, but I do speak spanish.

Enzo couldn’t keep his eyes off of you. It’s not that he had staring problems it’s just that you looked amazing and he just couldn’t believe he was in the same place as you. It was an important event and you both were lucky to find yourselves in the same place.

“Ya dale ve a presentarte boludo.” Juani stood next to Enzo. He had partially slapped Enzo on the back of his head making him snap from his gaze. “¿O te le vas a quedar viendo como loco todo el evento?”

“Callate” Enzo laughs as he glances your way. The cameras flashed on you as you posed and smiled for the pictures. You looked gorgeous.

“No en serio. O te presentas vos o lo hacemos nosotros.” Fran’s voice made both of the boys heads turn his way.

“No me va a pelar.”

“Yo creo que ya lo hizo. Mira.” Juani chuckles racing his brows as he darted at Enzo.

Juani had seen you staring their way with a feeble smile painted on your tinted lips. They all payed attention to how you looked forward to the cameras, giving them all a smile with a wave as you walked the opposite direction.

“No, no. Que viene acá.” Enzo panics. “Que hago.”

“Presentate.” Matias gives him a dull push.

By the time you had reached them, the guys stepped away and began to make their own conversation, leaving Enzo and you alone. Enzo turned around to the guys. He just hoped he wouldn’t mess anything up. After all, it was his first time meeting you.

“Hola mucho gusto, Y/N L/N. Te vi desde lejos y quise venir a saludar y a decirte que vi la Sociedad de la Nieve, y debo decir que me encantó.” You gush with a small smile as you hold your eyes on the man. You extended out your hand for him to shake. Which he did, but he also gave you a small kiss on the cheek. You hoped your lipstick didn’t leave a kiss print.

“Enzo Vogrincic. Muchas gracias. Es un gusto conocer a gran estrella como vos. yo soy un gran fan tuyo y.. te ves muy hermosa.” He was trying so hard not to seem like an idiot right now.

“Ay que lindo. Gracias.” Your lips carved a smile at his praise. You yourself made an effort not to blush. “Tú también te ves guapo.”

“Guys! Look this way!” A paparazzi called for your attention.

“¿Te gustaría tomarte algunas fotos conmigo?” You request motioning towards the cameras.

“Sí , sí. Claro.” He gestures for you to follow first. He somewhat helps you fix your dress as you walk away. As you both find your pose his hand lands on your lower bare back. And of course as the gentleman he is he instantly withdrew his hand. “Perdona.”

you let out a small chuckle telling him it was okay. He partially thought twice but he placed it back in its place when he felt your own hand on his back. Enzo just wanted you to feel comfortable around him. As he didn’t want to weird you out on your first meeting.

“You guys look amazing together!” A paparazzi exclaimed trying to get as many pictures concurrently.

“Hm, creo que les encantamos a los paparazzi” Enzo jokes making you look up at him with a smile. There will absolutely be pictures of that pose.

“Al parecer sí.”

“Vamos, si queres te puedo presentar a los chicos.” Enzo’s hand rested inside the pocket of his dressing pants in a nervous manner.

You of course agreed with a hum, stepping away from the center and walking towards where the rest of the cast was. Enzo tried on guiding you while he motioned the guys with his hands to walk over.

“Chicos, Y/N. Y/N estos son Matias, Juani, Fran, y Agustín.”

“Mucho gusto.” You greet each of the boys. “Buen trabajo que hicieron en la película.”

“Muchas gracias.” They all reply in unison.

“Sos una actriz increíble me veo todas tus películas.” Juani comments making you give him a warm smile, and bringing your hand to your heart.

“Ayy re lindo.”

“Bueno pero y si entramos ya? Cómo que tanto flash me está mareando.” Matias’ eyes shoot a double blink. He also brought his hand to his right temple giving it a small massage.

“Concuerdo.” Enzo nods.

Everyone walked inside the event. First thing that met the group were the LED lights that colored the room and the huge amount of tables that had glasses and champagne on them. Not to forget the decorations. Every single one of you turned your heads to admire the whole room. Enzo who didn’t waist no time hurried himself to pull up a chair for you. That made you release a smile.

“Gracias.”

He himself sat next to you as the boys filled around some of the seats around the table. Juani grabbed the bottle of champagne making a foolish face towards Fran, creating a bit of laughter between the two. Matias and Agustin didn’t last in joining their conversation, and also in taking silly pictures of each other.

“Entonces, Enzo. Cuéntame de ti.” You tried to make a conversation to reduce the quietness between the two.

“Uff.” He raised his brows letting out a chuckle. “Que no se puede saber ya.” He comments making the two of you laugh, you yourself racing a brow tilting your head to the side for a split second. “Pero pues tengo 30 años. Me fascina el teatro. Me encanta tomar fotos, la música”

“Wow. Tenemos cositas en común eh.” He looks at you with a warm smile and a glint in his eyes from the small nudge you gave him. “me encanta la fotografía, también me gusta el teatro y amo la música. Tengo un record player y me encantaría poder ir a una disquera y comprar más discos. Y debo de mencionar que nunca me vas a cachar sin mis audífonos en mis días libres.” A small chuckle escapes from Enzo’s lips at your remark.

“Ese soy yo con la fotografía. Voy a todos lados con mi cámara.” He motions towards his camera, which you hadn’t even noticed. “Si queres podemos ir a una disquera que vi por ahí cuando me estaba paseando.”

“¿Me estás invitando a salir?” A playful smile crept upon your covered lips as you watched how a nervous look arose on his face.

“Bueno.. como amigos obviamente.” He quickly adds.

“Te estoy jodiendo. Claro que podemos ir.” He laughs in relief as he sets his arm on the table staring at the ground. “Sirve de que tomas algunas fotos” You add motioning towards his camera.

“¿Me darías tu número entonces?”

You watched how Enzo took out his phone from his pocket, unlocking it before setting it between the two of you. Your hand reaches for the phone, giving him a small glance with a slight smile. You start to look for the contacts app before you began on typing your number in his phone.

“toma. no me nombres nada malo por favor.” You joke as you watched him create your contact.

“para nada, linda. No quiero que me odies.”

Enzo was starting to come out of his shell, letting out a pet name was somehow a small way of him showing he was getting comfortable around you. He just hoped it didn’t mean too much for you to shut him out. On the contrary though.

You softly giggled and somewhat blushed at the pet name. “odiarte no creo.” His eyes turned their all divided attention to you as he finished his typing and locked his phone again before placing it back into his pocket.

“Pues espero que me podas responder el mensajito.” He murmured as he got closer to you for you to be able to hear him.

“Por supuesto que te contestaré.” You point towards him. “Me encantaría ir a esa disquera y si se puede me puedes tomar algunas fotitos.” He smiles as he receives the silly wink you gave him.

“Claro. Sí. Sería un gusto.” He rests his hand on his chest. “Si queres te enseño algunas que tengo en mi celular.” You nod liking the idea as he takes out his phone again looking for his gallery and the folder where he kept all of his pictures.

“Podes deslizar a la izquierda.” He gives you his phone which already had the first picture set.

“Oh wow.” You were amazed by the simple yet amazing quality pictures he has taken. Some were of cats, buildings, him in black and white. “Son hermosas Enzo. Si no la hubieras echo de actor la hubieras echo de fotógrafo.” You laughed along with him.

“Es algo simple. Es uno de mis hobbies.” He murmurs next to you as he also looked at the pictures.

“Pues eres muy talentoso, de verdad.” You place your hand on his shoulder, your eyes leaving the picture with a light smile as Enzo didn’t tear his eyes off you.

“Y/N! oh my God here you are!” you recognized the voice making you look behind you, and Enzo finally looking somewhere that wasn’t your face.

You found the person the voice belonged to. “Oh, Maddie. Hi.” You chuckled. “I’m sorry I got a little distracted.” You turn to look at Enzo and then the boys.

Maddie’s eyes scanned the whole table as her strawberry tinted lips were opened a jar with a smile. “Hi. Madelyn Cline.” She greeted as everyone waved at her. Her eyes went back to you as she gave you a smile with a knowing look. “It’s okay you can totally stay here. I don’t mind.”

You looked at Maddie then back at the boys and at Enzo. He was quick to speak. “Te podes ir si queres. No hay problema.” He shrugged and the guys filled in into his request.

“Bueno. Disculpen. Pero fue un gusto conocerlos a todos y ojalá podamos un día volvernos a ver.” Each one of the guys got up from their seat and kissed you goodbye as they agreed with you, including Enzo. “Enzo un gusto.” Your hand rested on his arm for support and his on your waist as you leaned in to kiss his cheek.

“Un gusto linda.” He decided to use the pet name again for a last time tonight.

You turned your back on their table leaving with Maddie as a small smile stayed on your lips. You did hope to see all of them again, especially Enzo. There was something about his vibe and talking to him that made you feel at peace. Like you enjoyed his company.

And you honestly couldn’t wait to get his message.

i dont rlly think eithef them are fully at fault or fully blameless, its just a big mess of miscommunication and insecurities lol. stol has now realized his own faults in this and tried to kinda make up for it but since blitz hasnt fully yet (but hes on his way, hes at least reflecting and stuff) its all still a big mess. very interested to see where it goes tho :]

“Stop moving around, you’re going to make your injuries worse.” You said with a snicker, hovering over the sinner, your knees on either side of her torso. Rahu groaned in irritation, large, scarred hands planted firmly on your waist, the side of her face—well, mask resting gently against your chest. Your white coat discarded somewhere, alongside your skirt, leaving you in only your shirt, and undergarments. “Damn you. You’re a spy, aren’t you?” She sneered, narrowing her silver eyes at you.

“Oh my, such bold accusations.” You smirked, smug, and cocky, all the while staring down at the sight before you. The usually stoic, Rahu reduced to nothing more than a flustered mess, your lipstick marks stamped across the skin of her neck, down to her collarbone and chest. “Don’t think i can’t see the way you keep gawking at me.” You started, and Rahu’s grip on your waist tightened, you felt every single twitch, and movement of her fingers. “But for the longest time, i’ve wondered what was going through your head when you look at me. Was it hatred, anger, disgust?” You slowly leaned forward, coming face to face with the sinner, trailing a finger down her chest, down her torso, all the way until you reached her bandaged abdomen, before pressing down lightly but firmly, earning a low hiss from the sinner.

“But now i know…all along, it was lust.” You let out an airy laugh, to which Rahu glared daggers at you, the feeling of your finger trailing down her body sent multiple shivers down her spine. “You just love running your mouth, don’t you?” Rahu sneered, hate and desire burning up inside her, deep in her core. Your expression twisted into one of mock disappointment, your eyes narrowed at her, yet the shit eating grin on your face gave away the amusement you felt. Rahu flinched slightly when she felt your hand running through her hair, gaze locked on her eyes, and her awfully cute sharp glare. “Dirty mutt.” You scoffed, before grabbing a fistful of her hair and yanking her head back, which earned a sharp gasp from her. “Didn’t your last owner train you better? guess not. No worries, i can always straighten you out—”

Your sentence was cut short by a stinging sensation , followed by silence, a deathly silence, only being broken by a sharp hiss. “Don’t you dare mention her. Not with your filthy mouth.” The hand that left your waist and struck you, now has a firm, almost painful grip on your wrist. When you finally recovered from the strike, whipping your head back to stare at her, piercing silver eyes glaring back, the same ferocity, and hostility as when you first met her in that glare. Your grip on her hair tightened, and a mocking laugh left your throat. “You actually have the nerve to hit someone from Paradeisos?” You hummed, amusement written all over your features, you couldn’t help another small laugh as you let go of her hair, instead bringing your hand over to wrap around the pale column of her neck, much to her dismay, before pushing her down on the hospital bed by the throat, with enough force to make the sinner let out a choked grunt as her body hit the mattress beneath.

Rahu’s whole body tensed, including her ever tightening grip on your waist and wrist, before she managed to straighten her expression. “My apologies, it was a nervous reflex.” She said sarcastically, to your amusement, but that soon turned to surprise as you felt her hand that was rested so firmly on your waist moving to slip up your shirt. “Hm, you seem quite eager, despite the fact you seemed very upset a moment ago.” You teased, making a mental note not to bring up her previous commander again in the near future, before your grip on her neck tightened, just the tiniest bit. Rahu ignored your comment, focusing on feeling the soft skin underneath her calloused, and scarred hand. The sinner’s hand would eventually brush her hand underneath your bra and knead the tender flesh, causing you to inhale a sharp breath. “You’ve been waiting for this, weren’t you?” You laughed, mocking, despite the growing heat in your core.

Rahu groaned through her mask, deep and husky. “You talk too much in all honesty.” She commented, to which you wanted to snap back with a witty comeback, but the feeling of her fingers brushing against your erected nipple made you clam up. “Let me have you.” She whispered, causing heat to raise to your cheeks, she smirked at this, hidden under her oni mask, seeing your reaction only urged her further, only filled her desire to see what other expressions you’d make. Your breathing became labored, heavy shaky as you answered her, finally putting an end to this tension, finally giving in to your desires. “Haa—fine.”

More happens but I want the story to like end where the reader and Jason are crying together in the pouring rain and Jason realizes that he now has a loving dad that would do anything to ensure his and his brothers safety. And like the reader brings Jason back to the manor and everyone else is thinking to themselves like damn, (y/n) really is the best thing to happen to this family, literally the damn glue. Or something… like if (y/n) wasn’t there to save Jason he could have been dead… again.

“you’re distracted,"

suna’s voice cut through your thoughts, his sharp eyes looking at you from behind his phone screen as he saw you staring at your camera. it wasn’t accusatory - more of an observation. you hadn’t even realized you were staring off.

“i’m not distracted,” you muttered, looking away, trying to sound casual. but suna wasn’t buying it. he puts down his phone and easily pulls your camera to have a view of what you were looking at.

or who. well, he kind of figured it out.

“is it because of lev?” suna’s voice was blunt, as usual. you felt your heart skip a beat.

“what? why would it - what?” you sputtered, feeling your face flush. suna simply smirked, like he had known all along. the worst part? tadashi was right there, too, and now both of them were staring at you, waiting for an explanation.

“so, you like lev,” suna said it so matter-of-factly, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

you groaned. “okay, yes. i like lev. can you stop looking at me like that?”

yamaguchi, who had been silent this whole time, chuckled softly. “well, that explains why you’ve been acting weird lately.”

“how do you even know - ugh, never mind.” you gave up arguing, sinking into the couch in defeat. it was out now. no point in denying it.

you sigh. how did you get yourself into this?

it all started at the nekoma vs. inarizaki volleyball match. you weren’t there as a spectator, but as the official photographer for inarizaki’s team - documenting every spike, every block, every dive for the perfect shot.

you first met alisa, who eventually became your best friend. she approached you after seeing you taking photos at the game and asked if you had any photos of his brother. lev was just her giant, awkward, but lovable younger brother, someone who could easily slip into the background of your mind - until he didn’t.

it was alisa’s birthday party that changed things. everyone was having a good time, and as the night wound down, alisa had asked lev to take you home. what you didn’t expect was the conversation on that ride. lev, with his typical awkward but sincere tone, had casually mentioned how he’d seen some of your photography - especially shots from the match.

"your photos are... cool. i really liked the one you took of me blocking. it made me look awesome." his grin was infectious, and you remember laughing. something about his genuine excitement over a simple photo tugged at something inside you.

from then on, you couldn’t help but notice him more. every time you hung out with alisa, lev would always be there, tagging along. it was a slow shift, but you started catching yourself watching him at matches, following his movements with your camera more than anyone else. suddenly, lev wasn’t just alisa’s goofy younger brother anymore. he was lev - someone you found yourself thinking about more than you wanted to admit.

but how were you supposed to confess to him? and what if alisa found out? she might think it’s weird, and the last thing you wanted was to mess up your friendship with her.

“so, what’s your plan?” suna asked, his tone teasing, though his eyes glinted with curiosity.

“my plan is to not mess up my friendship with alisa first, and then maybe figure out the lev part,” you admitted. you hated how exposed you felt under their scrutinizing gazes.

“you should probably tell alisa before she figures it out herself,” yamaguchi suggested gently. “it’s better coming from you than her finding out later.”

suna nodded in agreement. “yeah, might want to get that out of the way first. unless you like unnecessary drama.”

before you could respond, the door slid open, and kenma walked in, headphones around his neck. “what are you guys talking about?”

“y/n likes lev,” suna said casually, like he hadn’t just dropped the most personal bomb in front of kenma.

“suna!” you nearly leapt out of your seat.

kenma raised an eyebrow, giving you a once-over. “alisa’s brother? huh, interesting.”

“it’s not supposed to be public information!” you groaned, burying your face in your hands.

“well, i couldn't really care any less,” kenma said, shrugging. “but it would be funny to see you rejected if you will be.”

your head snapped up at that, eyes wide in disbelief. “kenma!”

you looked up, startled by his bluntness. “you could at least pretend to be supportive, you know.”

kenma gave you a flat look, not a hint of sympathy. “supportive? i’m just being realistic. i don’t see the point of dragging this out. if you want to confess, go ahead, but don’t expect everyone to sugarcoat it for you.”

“so what, you think I’m going to get rejected?” you shot back, feeling a mix of frustration and nerves bubbling up.

he tilted his head slightly, clearly unfazed by your reaction. “i’m not saying that. but you’re acting like it’s the end of the world if he doesn’t like you back. it’s not.”

“kenma,” yamaguchi chimed in, sensing the tension. “you don’t have to be so harsh. y/n’s just trying to figure things out.”

“i’m not being harsh. i’m being honest,” kenma replied with a slight roll of his eyes. “she’s the one making this way more complicated than it is.”

“see, this is what i get for telling you guys anything,” you muttered, leaning back in your seat, feeling the pressure building from their differing opinions.

“it’s just how kenma is,” suna said with a grin, clearly enjoying the banter. “he’s got a point, though. you’re making this bigger than it needs to be.”

“but you guys make it sound so simple,” you argued, glancing between them. “it’s not that easy.”

“that’s because it kinda is,” suna said, reclining back again. “you’re the one making it difficult.”

later that night, you called tendou to vent about how your so-called “secret” was now public knowledge. tendou, always the mischievous one, wasn’t surprised when you told him what happened.

“suna found out? classic,” tendou laughed through the phone. “but hey, at least now it’s out there. no use hiding it anymore.”

you sighed. “yeah, but now i’m stuck figuring out what to do next. everyone says i should tell alisa first.”

“they’re right. alisa’s your best friend. she’ll understand. and as for lev, well... you guys are getting closer, right? i think at the least he'll understand,” tendou said, his tone light-hearted, but there was a sincerity underneath.

“thanks, tendou,” you muttered, feeling a bit more reassured.

“anytime. and hey, just go for it. you’re y/n miya. you’ve got this!”

the next day, you found yourself wandering into your brothers’ room. you didn’t really want to tell them about your crush on lev - not directly, anyway - but maybe they could give some advice on what to do, since they would know how it feels to have a younger sibling.

“oi, what’s with that look?” osamu asked, noticing your hesitation as you stood awkwardly by the door.

“nothing,” you muttered, walking in and flopping down on their couch. “just... need some advice. for a friend. they wanted help because you guys are big brothers.”

“oh? advice from the great miya twins?” atsumu piped in, his voice laced with his usual teasing.

“yeah, like.. what would you do... if... you say, one of your team members likes me?” you look at them, hoping they wouldn't laugh at you.

they both stare at you and their eyes slowly turn judging. osamu scoffs, "wow. didn't know you could be so shameless.”

you rolled your eyes, "it's not like that!" you whined. "just... i was just wondering, as big brothers... how would you feel if two people who were close to you unexpectedly liked the other, or something."

you fidget your fingers and look down to the ground. you slowly look up back to them and see as they exchanged glances before osamu raised an eyebrow. “you like someone, don’t you?”

you blinked, startled by how fast they figured it out. “w-what? no."

“yer actin’ all weird,” atsumu said with a smug grin. “and yer terrible at hiding things.”

you groaned. “i’m not hiding anything.”

“sure you aren’t,” osamu smirked, sitting down beside you. “so, can i guess who it is?”

“it’s no one,” you quickly deflected, not wanting to make it worse by bringing lev into the conversation. “i just need advice for a friend... okay?”

osamu chuckled. "okay, whatever, i won't say i think it's the little brother of one of your best friends, but," you look at him annoyingly, but afraid to confirm it anyway. he takes a deep breath,

“well, whoever it is, just don’t overthink it. if ya like ‘em, make sure you tell them. whatever happens will happen anyway.”

“and don't worry about their sibling,” atsumu added. “i'm sure they'll be happy to see two people close to them possibly get together. whoever they are."

you rolled your eyes to hide your embarrassment, but you couldn’t help feeling a little grateful for their advice. "yeah, okay. i'll tell them... i guess."

when you leave, the two exchange another glance and shake their heads with a smile. their little sister was growing up, though nothing has changed.

with a newfound determination, and a long self-pep talk, you made your way to alisa’s house, nerves bubbling up inside you. you knocked on the door, and when alisa opened it, she greeted you with her usual warm smile.

“y/n! hey! come on in,” she said, stepping aside to let you inside.

you stepped into her cozy home, the scent of freshly brewed tea wafting through the air. the living room was just as inviting as ever, and you felt a mix of comfort and anxiety clashing inside you. as you sat down, your heart pounded in your chest. you needed to say it -there was no backing out now.

alisa flopped onto the couch beside you, tucking one leg under the other. “so, what brings you here?” she asked, glancing over with her usual easy-going tone. “you’ve got that serious look on your face.”

you opened your mouth, but the words wouldn’t come out right away. “i… uh…” you stumbled, wringing your hands together. you had to rip the bandaid off, no more dodging it. “there’s something i need to tell you.”

alisa’s expression shifted slightly, curiosity flickering in her eyes. “sure, what’s up?”

you took a deep breath, the air catching in your throat. “it’s about lev.”

you could see her brows raising just a little. but she didn’t say anything, waiting patiently for you to continue. the silence between you two felt heavy, and the words you’d rehearsed so many times suddenly felt too big to say.

“i… i like him,” you finally blurted out, your heart racing like it would burst from your chest.

alisa blinked, her gaze softening as she processed your confession. her silence stretched for a beat longer, and for a second, you feared the worst. but then, she smiled - a warm, reassuring smile that immediately eased some of the tension in your body.

“that’s cute,” she said, her tone casual, like it was the most natural thing in the world.

your breath caught in surprise. “you… you’re okay with it?”

alisa tilted her head, her expression turning playful. “why wouldn’t i be? y/n, it’s not like you’re confessing a crime or something,” she teased, laughing softly. “i’m happy for you. really.”

your chest loosened with a rush of relief, though doubt still lingered. “so… you’re not mad?” you asked, still feeling the need for reassurance.

alisa rolled her eyes, but in the affectionate way she always did. “why would i be mad? honestly, it’s really sweet. i don’t mind at all,” she said, her voice calm and reassuring.

you let out a breath you didn’t realize you’d been holding, feeling the tension melt from your body. “thank you, alisa. i was kind of freaking out about telling you.”

alisa waved a hand dismissively, brushing off your concern with ease. “you don’t need to worry about stuff like this, y/n. really. lev’s just lev - you know how he is,” she added with a soft laugh.

you smiled, feeling a sense of ease wash over you. it was comforting to have alisa’s support, without any pressure or expectations.

just as you were about to reply, the front door clicked open, and you froze. footsteps echoed down the hall, followed by lev’s familiar voice calling out, “alisa, i’m home!”

alisa grinned and shot you a quick look, raising an eyebrow like she knew something you didn’t. your pulse quickened as lev’s tall frame appeared in the doorway. his eyes landed on you, and instantly, a wide grin spread across his face.

“y/n! didn’t expect to see you here,” he said, his voice bright with surprise.

alisa gave you a sly look as she got up from the couch. “well, i’ll leave you two to it. i’ve got some work to finish upstairs,” she said, winking as she headed toward the staircase. “don’t let him get too full of himself, y/n!” she called over her shoulder, leaving you alone with lev.

lev plopped down next to you, still smiling like he didn’t have a care in the world. your heart raced all over again as you turned to him, the weight of your confession looming between you like a giant unspoken truth.

lev leaned back casually, his bright eyes settling on you. “so, what’s up?” he asked, his voice light and unaware of the emotional storm brewing beneath your calm exterior.

you fidgeted slightly, glancing at your hands before looking back up at him. the room suddenly felt warmer, the space between you growing more noticeable. “oh, not much… just wanted to catch up,” you said, trying to ease into the conversation.

lev grinned. “catch up, huh? you’ve been busy, haven’t you? i haven’t seen you at the last few matches,” he teased lightly, nudging you with his elbow. “i thought you were avoiding me or something.”

you chuckled, shaking your head. “no, nothing like that. i’ve just been… thinking a lot.”

his playful expression softened a bit, picking up on your shift in tone. “thinking about what?” he asked, curiosity laced in his voice.

your heart pounded in your chest as you felt the moment drawing closer. you glanced away for a second, gathering your thoughts. “just… things. you know, stuff that’s been on my mind for a while.”

lev sat up a bit straighter, sensing something more serious in your words. “oh, sounds heavy. what kind of stuff?” his voice was still gentle, but his attention was fully on you now.

your stomach twisted with nerves, but you knew you had to say it. you couldn’t keep dancing around it forever. the words felt big, but there was no running away from them now. you took a deep breath, your fingers curling into your lap as you finally looked at him again.

“lev… i’ve been thinking about... you.”

his brow furrowed slightly, confusion flickering in his eyes. “me?”

your pulse raced as you nodded, your voice quieter now. “yeah. i… i like you, lev. i’ve liked you for a while.”

the words hung in the air between you, heavy and vulnerable. lev froze, blinking at you in surprise as if trying to process what you’d just said.

“wait, what?” he asked, his usual confidence faltering for a moment as he stared at you, wide-eyed.

“i like you,” you repeated, your voice steady but your heart pounding. “i’ve liked you for a while now.”

lev stared at you, wide-eyed, before a slow, sheepish smile spread across his face. “that’s... that’s crazy because... i like you too.”

your heart stuttered. “wait, you do?”

he nodded, cheeks turning a little pink. “yeah, i mean... remember when i told you how much i liked your photos? that was kind of my way of trying to get close to you.” he let out a soft laugh. “i admired what you did, sure, but... it wasn’t just that. i liked spending time with you. i liked you.”

you blinked, the realization hitting you all at once. “so all that time, you...”

“yeah,” lev admitted, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. “i just didn’t know how to say it. i figured if i talked about your photography, it’d be easier than admitting i liked you.”

you felt a warmth spread through your chest, the tension dissolving as a smile tugged at your lips. “wow, i had no idea.”

lev laughed again, his grin turning a bit wider. “yeah, i didn’t really make it obvious, did i?”

you nudged him playfully, your heart lighter now. “not at all, you dork.”

he laughed with you, his expression softening as his eyes met yours. “but seriously, i’ve liked you for a while, y/n. i just... didn’t know how to say it until now.”

your heart fluttered as you took in his words, feeling a warmth that spread from your chest to your cheeks. you couldn't help the smile that formed, a mix of disbelief and relief washing over you. “well... you’re saying it now,” you replied, your voice softer than before.

lev looked at you, his eyes bright, and for a moment, the world outside seemed to blur. it was just the two of you, sitting there, both feeling the same weight lift off your shoulders.

he reached out, hesitating for only a second before gently taking your hand in his. “so... does this mean we’re, you know, together?” he asked, his usual confidence replaced with something more vulnerable, more genuine.

you laughed softly, squeezing his hand. “i think so, yeah.”

a wide grin spread across his face, lighting up his features. “that’s... that’s amazing,” he said, his voice brimming with excitement. “i won’t mess this up, i promise.”

you smiled, shaking your head at his earnestness. “you won’t,” you reassured him. “we’ll figure it out together.”

he looked at you with such affection that you felt your heart skip again, and before you could say anything else, lev leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. “i’m really glad you told me,” he murmured, his voice low and sincere.

you felt warmth rush to your face as you looked up at him, your fingers still laced with his. “me too,” you whispered back, feeling lighter, more at ease. everything felt right.

as you both sat there, hands intertwined, you couldn’t help but feel that this was the start of something good - something that felt real and yours.

nooo not weird at all haha, i had plans to share more ab it once i was done w kickoff but i dont really mind sharing a bit now (will literally always take up any chance to talk ab it it’s an impulse i cannot resist)

basically i met this guy like halfway through my freshman year of college at a frat event, it was a bit different from kickoff dynamic in that we started hooking up pretty soon after that, just a casual thing, but then the pandemic hit and so he went back home to live w his grandpa/family in new york (i live in cali) once campus shut down and stuff. obviously we couldn’t hook up anymore LMFAO but we still talked a lot and i think it was during this time of just talking to one another that i really started to catch massive feelings for him :”)

i went through some bad anxiety during covid, struggling a lot w my career and if i still wanted to pursue the things i thought i wanted (i think a lot of college students went through this w the pandooski) but he would always be there for me and would stay on facetime calls w me if i was struggling to study, he’d cheer me up w pics of his tibetan dogs lol, just reallyyy sweet ugh when we were long distance i rly saw a side of him i didn’t before and i think that’s what made me fall for him

i confessed to him first, similar to reader in kickoff, n told him we could do long distance until he moved back here. but then he hit me with the “i’m sorry, i can’t date you, i’ve got commitment issues”. in his case, he had a long-term girlfriend in high school for four years who he also was dating into college (before he met me), but he found out she had been cheating on him for a long time w not just one but multiple of his friends 😭 so..he said he has really bad trust issues, and that he really wanted to try to date me, but he just felt like he couldn’t

i was really hurt, obviously, but i think in hindsight maybe it was a responsible decision on his part to not throw me into a mess of a relationship w him, one he knew he wasn’t ready for. but at the time, i just thought that it was bc i wasn’t good enough to change his mind. anyways, he asked if we could still talk and be friends, and i said sure bc i didn’t really want to lose him. i figured i could just wait for him (and i told him that i would)

yeahhh well the waiting was way more fucking painful than i thought. he flew to cali once to visit me when flights were sort of resuming, which is just fucking insane because you’ll fly to see me but you won’t date me 😭, and i told him that it’d be the last time he ever sees me! and it was :”) maybe it was an impulsive decision by me, but idk. yknow when you get stuck in a limbo for what feels like forever that you make a decision just for the sake of making one (it was such a short amt of time in reality, but it felt like forever) he made a comment to me in our last conversation about how he really wished he didn’t have to be someone i had to wait on to change, and that really fuckin stuck w me lmao i cried so hard the drive home from the airport. i think all the “what-ifs” kinda sunk in at that moment

ch7 of kickoff was basically me trying to get inside the head of the guy from my situationship, and see what it’s like to have fears hold you back from wanting to experience something for yourself, something that could be beautiful if you would just give it a chance. i felt like if i wrote it from that angle, i’d have more understanding of my situationship (i dont have commitment issues myself, tbh i’ve never rlly understood the concept. like, i’ve been fucked over by ppl in my life too but i’m never one to punish the next person for it. dealing w my situationship was really hard because of this, i would get really frustrated, but writing ch7 from gojo’s character’s perspective made situationship guy’s feelings make more sense to me, i think, there was a sense of closure in that)

but anyways, i was in love w him for sure. like, possibly infatuated. there was a time where we got into a big argument about something and i think i legit i cried myself into a fever 💀 it was all so crazy and powerful, the feelings, i’ve been involved w n dated other guys since but of course none of it really compares. idk, i guess there are just some people that can make you feel that way, there’s really no use in understanding why.

this sounds so sappy, lmaoo i swear i truly am “over” him in that i hardly think of him that much anymore, n tbh i don’t think of him specifically all that much while i’m writing kickoff, but there are moments where i can’t help but bring those feelings into the story.

there’s a line in ch8, near the end of the bed scene, where reader has a thought like

“You feel so safe with him, and yet you also feel scared, because you like him so much that you would let him ruin you if he wanted to.”

yeah. that’s basically how i felt about him.

- He has work and he’s very busy so he’ll have to leave soon but he wants to make it up to you because he wasn’t being professional; he makes the effort to at least chat or have breakfast with you before leaving which you don’t mind since you’re busy as well

- He usually doesn’t do hookups since he’s busy, doesn’t want to lead anyone on and knows he’ll get attached too easily so he rlly dk what happened, he was lonely but ayayay this is a mess. He does his absolute best to make things less awkward for you

- This scenario would actually be so wild bc if you wanted to do it again while sober I don’t think he’d say no LOL as soon as you had breakfast/chatted he started to like you even more I think and remembers last night being really great so

ALKAID / LU CHEN (路辰）

- SCENARIO: You’re his classmate and more importantly, his film dealer. You’ve been selling him film and camera repairs for a pretty good price compared to how high the quality is from a small shop that doesn’t get too much traction because it’s more of an antique shop but you do offer more. He was usually standardly polite and short maybe with an extra question out of curiosity here and there before becoming a regular over time. You eventually started tacking on a few more comments and questions than necessary but not so many that it’s noticeable, chatting him up a bit im class as well until you started actively seeking him out, being curious about him and you two became friends. Since this is an edit I’m gonna say like Ayn, you’re probably already in a situationship by the time you hook up but unlike Ayn you haven’t kissed yet (he’d at least ask you out or vice versa before kissing i think) You were over at his apartment to study and help bathe Sparkle; just generally hang out and after a PAINFUL amount of tension building with playful comments and little touches so much so that you ended up kissing him and one thing lead to another !!

- You wake up first but likely go back to sleep and he wakes up during that time tbh. I feel like his home is cozy as hell not to mention Sparkle climbing up and cuddling with you

- He let you wear his clothes to bed since yours got messy and he noticed that you were shivering, freezing from wearing. Well. Nothing. So he let you borrow something and his entire face is red including his ears an neck, it’s quite a view— both you and him

- He ghosts his thumb over your features, his gentle touch almost unnoticeable as he notes each unique thing about you as if trying to identify different stars in the sky

- You had already cuddled up to him in your sleep and he lays in bed with you in his loose embrace for an absurd amount of time until he decides his heart has had enough and gets up to make you both breakfast, you stirring a bit in your sleep in the process

- He kept trying to find an opportunity to get up before but you clung to him so he couldn’t find it in himself to leave you gn but when he did eventually get up he just kissed the crown of your head and gently pulled your arms off of him, then laying you down

- His bed head is just his normal hair honestly and he doesn’t move too much, just snores a little bit and slightly drools

- He’s embarrassed the rest of the day, his usual charismatic persona failing on him when he needs it most and he’s a bit nervous not knowing if you’d felt the same as him or if it was just lust. Though all that is quickly nipped in the bud when you give him a kiss on the cheek and confess properly, holding his hands in yours

- Deciding he’s wasted enough time being a dork He offers to take you on your first date in a nearby cafe since it was pretty impromptu but he still says it with a helpless smile and slight blush. On this date he def took pictures and has them pinned on his wall; they’ll quickly become some of his most prized photos

CLARENCE / SI LAN (司岚）

- SCENARIO: You two went to the same high school all four years and maybe even the same middle school at some point but you never really interacted because he was busy with schoolwork and so were you so you really never felt the need to bother him. Little did you know Clarence had the biggest crush on you since you met and after being acquainted through the student council you became friends. Upon growing closer and some worrying about how little he relaxes later and you mayyy have accidentally made out with him a little in the council room after hours 🥺 then took it back to your apartment 🥺🥺 and ended up sleeping together 🥺🥺🥺

- He wakes up first and just stares at the ceiling. how did this happen oh my god. Not in a bad way but oh my GOD. -Clarence

- He’s so embarrassed by last night especially with his own behavior. Just remembering the sounds he made and the words he said has him reeling; he must’ve told you he loved you 100,000 times

- he just stays completely still hoping you’re still asleep and once you wake up he shuts his eyes so fast kind of trying to pretend to be asleep but with how tightly his eyes and lips are shut you know he’s awake

- You give him a little kiss on his eyelids and lips and he knows he’s caught; he blushes but then kind of just lets a small exasperated smile wash over his face; he really doesn’t know what to do

- His bedhead is basically the same as his normal but more messy around the bangs also he snores a tiny bit but thats pretty much it

- He’s pretty happy and normal when he isn’t thinking about the specifics of last night’s events

- He even goes ahead and makes breakfast for you and him as well as his cats (they’re probably the ones who woke yall up lol)

- He doesn’t do hook ups and he’s liked you so long so he reaalllly realllllllllyyyyy hopes you’ll consider getting to know him more and let him take you out on a couple dates because even if his hands are clammy the whole time he’d be so happy

WILLIAM / CHEN ZIHAN (陈子涵）

- SCENARIO: You two have always been best friends with no question of whether or not your feelings were platonic. Well he had no question. You on the other hand had been crushing on him for a while now but didn’t want to ruin the friendship. That was until college. He started noticing you more and your qualities: how you’ve matured and how you’re there when no one else is, so his feelings have gotten a little bit more than just platonic. He justified it as appreciation and normal friend things all the way up until you two suddenly decided to “test out” what kissing and making out would be like. Platonically of course. Since neither of you had ever been in a serious relationship. The sex part was just testing too, trust 🙏

- You wake up first but that doesn’t stop him from having an existential crisis when he wakes up

- You’re excited although a bit nervous from anticipation honestly since you already knew your feelings were not platonic but you didn’t know what he’d think so instead of worrying you just poke his face and admire him sleeping

- His bedhead is crazy, some of his hair sticks up and he has a pool of drool under him. He snores too— finally getting to release his feelings has him K.Od it was tew good

- You go to make breakfast or shower or something and he’d probably wake up during that time bc he doesn’t feel your warmth anymore

- Like Clarence, Liam wakes up perplexed and embarrassed and he’s worried he may have crossed a line doing what he did last night since you were supposed to be just friends! He’s freaking out so bad! come back he needs reassurance 😭

- When you get back he’s so apologetic and is just so nervous around you until you broach the subject, reassuring him that you don’t mind what happened

- After you sort out your thoughts on what happened and have a loooong talk about it you’re pretty much back to being normal and you even hang out for a bit longer, watching some movies and baking together although he does still blush and fumble his words around you a little

- He’s scared to tell you he would rather be yours than be your fwb (friend with benefits) bc this is his first hookup but considering he’s been your best friend and crush for so long you feel the same way so you end up dating pretty soon after

King Ohger Drinking Headcanons

Made a little list earlier in reply to @stickers-on-a-laptop but then got carried away in my free time at work and did a whole bunch so. Have fun! I love liquor and spirits (in like. A ooh yummy this is cool bartender way and not in a I love getting drunk way) so this was honestly rlly fun to write!

Character headcanons below the cut with some little stories hidden inside lol

⁃ Gira isn’t accustomed to drinking, he’s young and was used to being at the orphanage all the time anyways. When he does drink with the kings he either opts for something nonalcoholic like a glass of sparkling cider or whatever someone hands him. Kaguragi likes to mess with him and give him cocktails that he SAYS aren’t alcoholic but… definitely are. (Kagu learned the hard way the first time he messed with him like this that Gira is a lightweight and ended up taking care of him overnight in Shuggodam’s castle. The only person who knows is Douga since Gira doesn’t remember and Kagu refuses to admit he felt bad about the incident or that it even happened)

⁃ Yanma - drinks watered down bud light ass beer for the longest time. He doesn’t like it, but it’s what his mentor drank and he thinks it makes him look cool. That, and it’s cheap. This is all he drinks until Himeno buys everyone a round of her favorite cocktail of the week and he realizes he REALLY likes sweet stuff. He orders fruity drinks all the time “for shiokara” but if you watch carefully they’re always sharing it and he never finishes more than one shitty beer anymore. Kaguragi hasn’t told him abt craft beer and ipas yet but he knows it’ll rock his world. Absolutely forgot to add that if Yanma DOES order a cocktail for himself openly it’ll always be a jack and coke.

⁃ Himeno - Drinks fancy cocktails all day everyday. They’re usually very sweet, sometimes extra dry depending on the mood, and she loves anything with champagne, but despite how they look they’re always a higher percentage than anything the other kings are drinking. She also loves a good wine and savors any sommelier knowledge she receives from Sebastian, Cleo, Elegance, and of course Jeramie. Her dinner parties are always coupled with tasteful optional drinks planned to fit the meal. At least once she has a drinking contest with Kaguragi and absolutely drinks him under the table to everyone’s surprise (except sebas)

⁃ Rita - Rita also doesn’t drink much, as they aren’t a fan of being drunk around others and certainly don’t enjoy the mood that comes with drinking alone, but once they’re closer with the other kings (especially Himeno, as she and Morphonia get Rita to try all kinds of new things together) they branch out into drinking here and there. More often than not, you’ll find Rita at a king celebration nursing a glass of sake, a Smokey whiskey, or some very expensive vodka on the rocks. Don’t knock it till you try it in the cold of gokkan.

⁃ Kaguragi - Kaguragi of course drinks anything hand crafted from Toufu. His favorite are the Nigori sake and Daiginjo Junmai sake made from the Suzume’s tears rice. Of course, he’s also a big fan of mead! He does enjoy a good craft beer on the occasion, and will often drink whatever Himeno is serving at her dinners, even if it’s not his usual taste. He’s just happy to be included and have an opportunity to mess with the others a little given he has the highest tolerance out of anyone other than Himeno and Suzume and finds himself getting more tipsy while the others are already fully drunk.

⁃ Jeramie - Jeramie LOVES wine. He’s been drinking it for a long time and even has some bottles that he found in his mothers things that he’s never opened (that in my heart him and Gira share at their wedding). He tends to drink a rose or any white wines as he’s cautious of spilling red wine onto his suit, but he does love a nice sweet red blend too. Whenever he goes wine shopping in the different kingdoms he brings a bottle of his favorite reds to Himeno as a gift.

⁃ Racles - Big baby with alcohol. Never drank much due to fear of letting down his guard around others. Will drink whatever Suzume gives him but mostly refuses drinks from others even after the end of the story. When he does drink, he loves Suzume’s Nigori sake or a small glass of orange blossom mead. He does his best to be the “DD” for Gira (or whoever else needs it really but he always says he’s only there for Gira) Is a very loving and silly drunk the few times he has been and always gets snuggly with Gira (familially obviously), Suzume, and Kaguragi. Gira gets a bit embarrassed but always welcomes it happily, and suzu and kagu LOVE the attention and a chance to mess with him.

⁃ Douga - douga doesn’t like to drink a lot since he works a lot, but Gira tries to make sure he and his family are invited to celebrations where douga may partake in the occasional light beer (typically whatever Kaguragi brings bc he knows it’s always good). He used to drink a decent amount when he was younger so he tries to gently help Gira make sure he isn’t gonna over do it… Gira does accidentally anyways frequently lol

⁃ Kogane and Boone obviously don’t drink alcohol but Gira still makes them Shirley temples all the time as a treat (my sister used to make them for me when we had sibling sleepovers and watch mean girls so this is mostly for me lol)

⁃ Shiokara usually drinks fruity cocktails because he enjoys sour stuff and sodas, which he now usually ends up sharing with Yanma while he poses like he’s still drinking just his shitty beer. Shiokara is also a lovey dovey drunk, but no one is surprised since he’s also like this when he’s sober. Shio is also often a caretaker after parties, even if he himself is drunk, and finds himself helping with clean up and getting people home hydrated and safe, despite usually needing a place to crash himself (hopefully into yanmas arms-)

⁃ Sebastian doesn’t drink super often as he’s worried he wouldn’t be able to keep up appearances as an older gentleman, but when he’s with just the kings or just the ishibana squad, he doesn’t mind letting the veil drop. He’s unexpectedly a bit of a flirty drunk, but knowing this he’ll usually remove his makeup before drinking just so he doesn’t accidentally creep anyone out. Even regardless of that he’s still very aware and occasionally charmingly over-careful about people’s boundaries. He usually drinks whatever he is helping to prepare for Himeno as it’s what’s available, but his favorite is Spumante champagne.

⁃ Cleo - Cleo is a conniseur of all things ishibanan, her favorites being cocktails made with crème de violette and/or white chocolate crème liquor. She doesn’t get drunk often unless she’s having a girls night with elegance and Himeno (and sometimes sebas), but when she is she somehow ends up very quiet and only speaks to either give the wisest advice you’ve ever heard or something just completely unintelligible to anyone but her.

⁃ Elegance doesn’t drink pretty much unless Cleo does, so they’re about on par there. They like to share drinks with each other on occasion so they can try everything sebas and the chef came up with for a meal or party. The first time she drinks with the other kings however they learn that she used to be a bit of a partier when she was younger and always has stories to tell about this time. Yanma (and sometimes Kagu) like to challenge her to arm wrestling but they pretty much always lose. Yanma definitely always loses.

⁃ Morphonia may have started drinking when she was a teen (just for shits n giggles) but she still has a laughably low tolerance. She tried once to drink whatever Rita’s drinking but that night… did not end well. Not that she didn’t appreciate being waited on by Himeno and Rita themselves. She’s honestly a fan of the light beers Yanma never seems to finish, and she thinks the fact he won’t admit he hates them is funny, so she drinks them for him whenever he leaves one open. I don’t think Yanma ever notices it’s her drinking them, lol. She loves to party, but she’s a very chill drunk, and definitely prefers an edible to a glass of anything.

⁃ Kuroko - will typically have the first glass out of any bottle opens for Kaguragi, mostly for safety, but he tends to enjoy the same as him other than will prefer to have beer more often than any spirit. Doesn’t drink a lot because he likes to stay on guard for Kaguragi (though he usually doesn’t need it lol)

⁃ Suzume CAN outdrink Kaguragi, and is pretty evenly matched with Himeno, but often prefers to pretend to get drunk so she can pull pranks or gossip or do whatever scheme she has her heart set on. She also loves a good Suzume’s tears nigori sake, and will occasionally partake in an edible when offered by morf. The few times she does get genuinely drunk, she almost seems exactly the same and lucid?? People are very confused by this lol

⁃ Gerojim, like other bugnarak, have “strange taste” when it comes to liquor. His favorite drinks, on the rare occasion that he feels comfortable to partake, are VERY light absinthe cocktails with a lot of sugar, a bugnarak-made kelp liquor (yes it exists irl), and buganarak algae beer (which also exists, tho very little of it lol. A French brand made some in 2022 and it’s BLUE). Despite his size, he is definitely a lightweight, and is very careful about how much he drinks as alcohol tends to have a bit of an aphrodisiac-like effect on bugnarak and gerojim gets very embarrassed about his behavior during previous fun-times. (note: this is based in studies showing that rejected male flies may turn to alcohol when offered combined with a cursory glance at articles about alcohol creating pheromone signals in fruit flies as well. No promises that this is perfectly accurate but I think it’s fun LOL)

⁃ Dethnarak tends to avoid alcohol, as he both doesn’t enjoy most of it but also is uncertain as to the effect it may have on him in larger quantities.Some worm-descending bugnarak are incapable of getting drunk and find health benefits to drinking it, and others are highly sensitive to it and can do major damage to their nervous systems when partaking. If he drinks at all, it’s usually a glass of expensive smoked mezcal tequila on the rocks. (See again cursory google search at the effect alcohol can have on earth worms, also the joke of worms being in mezcal lol)

⁃ Iroki, Nephila, and Karras have girls nights in hakabaka whenever they feel like having a little fun. Given its hakabaka, they can really have whatever they want, but iroki tends towards a very sharp Namazake sake like she drank made from the rice grown by the dybowskis, nephila a deep dry red wine like an aged Cabernet Sauvignon, and karras a nice bourbon brûlée like she’d have to keep warm and cozy in gokkan. They get as pleasantly drunk as they wish, no matter how much they drink. Their nights are always fun and maybe… occasionally involve some spice.

⁃ Akka likes a good IPA and will often bring a case of somethin new to try to hang outs with the nkosopa gang. He doesn’t drink a lot in general and tends not to get drunk just by preference.

⁃ Mayuta LOVES coming up with new fruity and sour cocktails with shiokara, but also really loves a good IPA like Akka since he keeps bringing them to hang outs. She gets tipsy at parties but isn’t crazy about being drunk either. She just likes to have fun :)

⁃ Asuba drinks a lot of seltzer drinks, basically whatever nkosopas version of white claws and trulys are. He’s happy to drink whatever Yanma and shio are supplying as long as it’s not his shitty watery beer, though. He likes a good party and drinks a decent amount while gaming with the rest of the squad. He’s definitely a goofy/clumsy drunk, telling a lot of jokes but tripping over his words and himself.

⁃ Bonus: Grub! - grub kinda drinks whatever’s put in front of him and has a surprisingly high alcohol tolerance. A lot of people think he’s a bit of a pothead but he doesn’t actually smoke or do edibles as he’s not a fan of feeling high. He can be a bit of a sad drunk, so he’s grateful to have a higher tolerance to keep himself in check, but he’s still a big softie caretaker at heart and will help clean up after parties with shiokara if he’s sober enough to do so, otherwise he tends to fall asleep easily past a certain point and he’s a VERY heavy sleeper lmao. His favorite drinks are margaritas and lemon drop shots, anything sour!

i had a really long convo with my friends about this but it really seriously feels like ppl get rhys and fionas characterization switched up HARD. this is bc of the u choose the path thing but also a heavy hand in the misogyny and racism (and general way ppl tend to approach pandorans due to being effected by how jack talked about them . This has been talked about on my side a bit but I tooootally agree, Both of their characterization gets switched up BAD and it’s absolutely insane, both Fiona and Rhys are good people, but flawed. Flawed, but good people, and it gets constantly jumbled around in the fandom. I feel like a lot of people have a really hard time grasping that “choose ur own adventure” protags still have a core personality set, especially telltale. I always use Lee TWGD as an example, because sure you can portray him as either very very confrontational, or more soft spoken and sweet, but in the end of th edgy he still killed someone. In the end of the day he still ALWAYS cares about Clem. It’s not any different for those two idiots, they still have their respective arcs and the such.

I feel like Fiona gets a lot of shit specifically BECAUSE she’s snarky and she. speaks her mind. And god forbid a POC/Black coded woman do ANYTHING. Jack really messed up ppls views on Pandorans but the look into Sasha and Fi’s life is literally just more, HEY, they’re people!! Maybe don’t listen to the GENOCIDAAAAL [big arrows pointing to the word] MANIAC. It’s thrown right at your face. People take wtv the fuck Jack says way to seriously when he lies. So much. All the time. And I don’t get why no one takes it with a pile of salt constantly. When really she does just have a heart of gold, most of her being mean is literally just playful banter like hello. Sasha’s meaner than her by a mile but Fi still gets slaaandered for it. And even tho Sasha does have her really mean moments I will defend her to the grave with strangers bcus “hating her” without a valid reason gets veeerry racy really quick and as a black person it really does rub me the wrong way sometimes. So much mischaracterization everywhere. It’s a weird mix of a patriarchal, misogynistic, racist deal with EVERY character in The Group and I’m just… how do you manage to mischaracterize everybody from a game that’s all story.

And the point I made in a post somewhere about how Rhys is written differently than a LOT of men in borderlands and ppl have ran with it and decided hey this guy actually sucks. Or hey haha this guy can’t do anything. He’s completely out of his element on Pandora, of course he’s stumbling somewhat but bro is brave as hell for that shit. He’s a completely capable dude, yes he cares about Fiona and Sasha and Vaughn. Yes they care about him. I feel like people also get it twisted because of Fiona and Rhys in the intros, but people gotta remember that they’re acting like that because the game was episodic and we weren’t rlly allowed to know that they’re super buddy buddy. That’s one gripe I have w the game is that they made Fiona seem like she HATED his ass in some of the future settings in the beginning of episodes and people took it way too literally. Please I beg they’re besties,,, you’ve never boxed with a bestie before??? Either way it’s obvious that it’s blown out of proportion especially after Rhys’ whole arc concludes. You’re supposed to be like oooh he’s like that cause we couldn’t know. You look at Fi and you’re supposed to like daaamn she really cares about him/them they were all just split apart after extremely traumatic events. [I’m gonna stop here with this point cause it’s starting to be a run on but people do not talk enough about how traumatic both Helios’ crash, the wreck, and Gortys’ first fight was for all of them.]

I’ve talked extensively with a friend about this too but Tales had a looot of budget issues during its making cause of Telltale nuking itself, and the game was meant to have more time. ALL of them were!!! I always think about maybe if they all got more time they’d be treated this way less. But yknow,, whatever I guess.

AND THE VAUGHN THING UR SO CORRECT GOD. I think she really help him crawl out of his shell for a lack of a better term, both the sisters tbh I feel like they’re a very rare and cute friendship pairing and I need to see more of Sasha daring him to do shit like in the Chimera dome. They all care sooo deeply for each other and people even manage to miss that like god. One of Rhys’ core traits if you don’t make him abysmally evil is loyalty. LOYALTY. Fiona hasn’t had many, hell if any friends since tales started, She is SUCH a caring person of course she’s gonna ride or die for her friends. Like that one scene on Helios where Rhys can ask her not to leave, And she’s like “If I wanted to leave, I would’ve done it a looong time ago.” There’s so many points in the game I could,d bring up that show how great all of them are, Fiona, after knowing him for not too long at all, tries to convince Vaughn to be brave, and that he can survive Bossanova’s race. Yes, she had to do that so they wouldn’t die, but she went out of her way to say it in a way that was reassuring enough. That’s sweet. If she didn’t care about them she wouldn’t have played cards on the roof with Rhys, or play bunkers and badasses with the boys, or I don’t know, let them LIVE IN WHAT IS ESSENTIALLY HER HOUSE FOR A YEAR. /ref ep.3 of tales. I’m being dramatic, of course there are factors that didn’t let her kick them out. But, my point stands.

That wasn’t meaaan that was playful reassurance, she’s telling him she’s THERE FOR HIM. They all care sooosososo much. If none of the, cared about each other, any “betrayal” wouldn’t mean that much. People get hurt like that because of their bonds and yes, YES I’m being opinionated but they’re like the found family ever, god. Fiona is fucking amazing and she wouldn’t put up with anyone if she didn’t either have to, or care, and after a certain point it’s very obvious that it’s not the first one.

Pyro:

-clueless but considerate

-when he sees you struggling they try to help however he can

-pryo sees the world different from her view so whenever she sees you hurt or bleeding she believes that your period is a real life devil stabbing you

-yes ik it’s sorta weird but this is how I imagine pyros mind handling things

-usually he’ll punch the air as you lay on the floor or chop the wind believing they’re saving you

-you tell them to relax ! Explaining your menstrual cycle yourself to him in the simplest terms

-you give pryo a small list of what you need and he agrees

-he gets all the things you need in the…maybe more violent ways by killing the workers at the market in retaliation or not getting the stuff for free

-you know she loves you tho <3 and he tries his best!

Sniper:

-a respect full lad, but he doesn’t help much

-he doesn’t really know how to and he could care less

-“Dontcha got arms? You can get this yourself, mate” he says as he focuses on his rifle

-instead you insist he gets you things so he can visit you more often and hang out

-Spy him in the head after he saw Sniper ask if he was okay

-“YOU FOOL!” Spy says as he points to snipers chest and pushes him back a little

-“What the bloody hell is wrong with you, mate?!!” He says in retaliation

-spy gives him a lecture about being considerate to a woman and respectful blah blah and sniper reluctantly agrees

-Sniper legit tries but never gets the hang of it, he helps out in all sorta ways but it’ll always be wrong

-Months go by like this and Sniper always dreads when it’s your cycle because he feels bad he can never be the best for you

-“I can shoot at attah things” Sniper says as he shoots off the head of a Scout “but I cant finish the shot at this thing, doc.”

-Sniper begged Medic to come up to his camper to talk about it, reluctantly Medic listens

-Medic also teaches him how to be proper (spy also helps too lol) but after hours and days of training it’s no use

-Sniper will always tell you how much he loves you when he messes up at it and that he’ll try again next time, so rlly it’s the thought that counts <3

Engineer:

-Engi is already a sweet man and he’s even sweeter when you’re on your cycle

-he understands despite not having any experience with it before and he’s a wonderful listener

-he gets you everything you need no matter what, he gets them quickly!

-Engi will try to make devices to stop your cycle (all of them failing) but when you’re in bed with cramps he’ll sketch and write about a new design

-“it’s okay, pumpkin. This one will work I have a good feeling-!” He says as he kisses your cheek

-he feeds you southern dishes and foods in bed <33

-“uh ahuh-..uhm hello, darling..” Engi says nervously, he’s sweating like crazy and his entire face is red
