My one hope for season 6 is that they deal with Argos’ eyebrows.
You think I’m kidding but I’m totally not.
I’ve seen people clown on his inhuman eyes or purple skin but I literally don’t care I just need them to use a darker shade of green for his eyebrows. Because compared to his skin, his light green eyebrows are quite hard to make out.
Like, in this shot right here, you can’t see his eyebrows.
And this might be a personal thing but eyebrows in animation are one of the best ways to show facial expressions.
Actually, scratch that, give him some eyeliner while you’re at it. And alter the shade of the sclera to be lighter than the iris, OR make the iris MUCH brighter (this is what fanart often does). I LOVE the dark sclera but in the daylight (Like Felix looks stunning in every single frame of Emotion, and still looks good in a large majority of Representation, but as soon as you slap his character model under the light of the sun, something feels off) or in zoomed out shots, he looks super… bug-eyed? Like it’s not super clear where the sclera begin and the iris ends? None of the other holders with altered eyes (Ryuko, Chat Noir, Ladynoire, etc) have this problem it’s just him. And his eyes so cool, I just want them to be like…. Visible?
I might make an attempt at an Argos redesign but I already REALLY like his design, he outserves literally everyone. there are just like, a few small changes I’d make for the sake of versatility? If that makes any sense.
#miraculous ladybug#miraculous season 6#felix fathom#argos#not a salt post#literally just me rambling#argos is still one of the best character designs in the show#bro is DRIPPED OUT#especially compared to everyone else who just wears spandex and god I hate spandex#I just think that a majority of scenes in miraculous take place during the day#and Argos’ character model was made to look the best under the fancy lighting of emotion#and without that lighting he looks slightly off#I’m not a character designer or anything but I’ve made MANY magical girl ocs so I do have some experience with hero costume designs#and I think that with everyone getting a new character model in season 6#this is a perfect opportunity to at LEAST fix the eyebrows because it literally makes me so upset#just make them darker than his skin I am on my knees#this is literally the reason why people use eyebrow pencils in real life#literally just give him a green eyebrow pencil im begging on my knees

Here’s my Hogwarts Legacy OC.
And here are some impressions of the game. I like it fine by the way.
Here are HL friends in Persona style btw.
I bought this game on sale recently and so far have been enjoying it. It’s a fun enough game even though I was never obsessed with Harry Potter except when I was like seven.
Here are some of my thoughts, some good and some a bit critical I guess.
1. Good but not memorable
Maybe because I was never obsessed with Harry Potter series the way some people are, I found the game decent but not memorable (e.g. Zelda or Persona level). It’s decent; in other words, it’s a bit bland. I don’t have any particular complaint about the game mechanics, but I don’t have anything particularly nice to say either. The exploration is fun enough. The battle can be a bit repetitive but overall okay. Collecting trinkets and doing puzzles can be amusing. But none of this all comes together to leave a strong impression. I think it’s a decent RPG for weekend fun though, especially if you’re a Harry Potter fan. That it’s not too memorable also means that it’s average a.k.a. you likely won’t have to ragequit this game. The gameplay is pretty easy, so it would be perfect for casual gamers who don’t want no Dark Souls taking over their weekend.
2. Character design matters
In an RPG, having a good character design matters. This is partly due to the fact that I don’t really enjoy the “realistic” rendering that so many western games employ, but I found the overall character design less than charming. Customizing my own character feels so much less fun when it’s hard to find a charming build. I’m sorry, but why does every option for my character make her look like she’s thirty-five? I feel like a damn PhD candidate in Hogwarts already without my character looking like she’s thirty-five years old. By the way, I also considered making a male character, but the male characters look equally old and not that charming. I think it’s partly the hair. Almost every hair option makes your character look thirty-five.
The NPCs don’t fare much better either. Yeah, they’re nice and I find Natty pretty cute. But that’s about it. They all have their stories and stuff, but something is just lacking.
It’s not like I want anime character design either. A style like Arcane would have been awesome.
3. I feel like a Mary Sue
I’d say being a Mary Sue might be better than being an emotional support character for dev’s Mary Sue, but it still feels weird to me. Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing too much Atlus games recently and in their games, everyone’s out to kill you. I’m not used to characters fawning over me. There are many moments including when you’re taking a class that you’re blatantly praised for your abilities. The Ravenclaw boy gushing about how you must be a part hippogryph during your flying lesson is one of them.
Everything about the plot makes you a Mary Sue as well. You’re this mysterious new kid with ancient magic powers who excel at everything. I know it’s somewhat necessary in an RPG, but this game makes you feel like you’re playing some “Modern Girl in Hogwarts” game. I don’t hate it that much, but it still feels weird.
4. Missed opportunities
I’ve played old EA Harry Potter games and loved them, but I don’t know if it was a good idea to make an original Hogwarts game a solo exploration game. To me, one of the charms of HP series is the focus on the friendship and the adventures of the trio. In HL, you’re alone most of the time. I know a lot of modern players don’t deal well with turn-based games, but I think an original Hogwarts game that is turn-based where you can build your party of Hogwarts students would have been quite fun.
I also feel like there are a lot of missed opportunities with the school life content. Cramming in classes and having afterschool adventures would have made it feel more like life and Hogwarts where you’re not a graduate student.
Here, so you can get stressed thinking about crammed scheduling!
For an open exploration game, I’d rather have preferred something like Fantastic Beasts where you’re an adult. The game taking place in 19th century London would have been awesome. You’d be a recently graduated wizard who’s working both in wizard and muggle world solving some crime or something. This could have also made a better opportunity for the stealth element in the game as you can try to be discreet around the muggles.

I think the thing that keeps me hooked on Encanto and Bruno is the implications of a mentally ill person in this setting.
Like he is all but confirmed mentally ill, and it’s not a curse, it’s not a metaphor, it’s not even PTSD or Cinematic Crazy Disorder, he has OCD. He has real person OCD, we know his compulsions and can make pretty good guesses at his triggers and obsessions, it is OCD. In a lot of fantasy we know that surely mental illness must exist, because presumably these people have brains and brains are where mental illness is stored, but we don’t often receive confirmation that it does exist. Even when characters start showing signs of PTSD, mileage varies on accuracy, and it often gets hand waved as normal trauma instead of clearly being a disorder that could potentially require a doctor’s help to treat. They have yet to state in canon that Bruno has OCD, but they put it into the script, they built it into his character, and they didn’t even go for the usual Has to Have Everything Neat and Tidy variety that we see in media, instead they’ve made a point to show his compulsions and generalized anxiety. This isn’t Detective Procedural OCD, it’s Based on My Aunt OCD.
And that more than anything has me thinking about the structure of this society and this family. I find myself writing mentally ill OC’s for this fandom more than for others because it feels more organic in the Encanto verse than it does the Buffy verse. I spend more time wondering about Alma and her family history, does she have a cousin or siblings that are like Bruno, or does she just assume he’s like that because of the magic? It seems obvious to me that the Madrigal family tends toward anxiety disorders, and after the comics I’m more convinced Bruno is autistic as well as having OCD, how long until some doctor comes to town and is like “Oh, hey! You guys all have mental illnesses!”? It’s the 50’s in the movie, so knowledge of this stuff ain’t great, but Mirabel would be 89(?) today, her grandkids might have been diagnosed, her great grandkids would definitely be the right generation to receive a diagnosis. Oof, but we saw when Encanto first came out that some people consider mental illness to be a White Thing, so how does the intersection of racism and colorism affect this? Does the great grand kid that looks like Pepa have an easier time getting anti-anxiety meds than the great grandkid that looks like Félix?
I should actually probably take my ADHD meds or this is going to get long.
I’ve been weaving Adelaide into more stories because she was originally designed as a vehicle for Camilo to have heavily autistic kids and grandkids, but ever since writing Juan I keep thinking about the experiences of two autistic kids in a rural village that doesn’t know what that is yet. And I want to play with that! Like he doesn’t struggle with facial expressions so he would fly under the radar, but she does struggle with proper emoting so she doesn’t. On the other hand, he went through a very showy phase that got him labeled annoying, but she’s a girl, and quiet, and society likes that. He has a good relationship with his family, so he has mentors and friends; but she has a bad relationship with her family so she has a found family and when Bruno comes out of the walls she would cling to him because he is an Adult that is Like Her. His special interest is math and math is useful so he gets plenty of opportunities to play with it, her special interest is stars and that’s cool and all but stars are not a job. How do people in rural 1950’s handle sensory issues? How accepting are people of those with mental illness when they don’t realize that’s why little Romero is like that?
And what about the downsides of untreated mental illness? We see through Bruno how isolating that can be, but I inherited my broken brain from my mother and she has taught me all the ways NOT to handle it. How many people in Encanto are self medicating because they have bipolar disorder and no clue that’s what’s happening? I read that folks with autism or OCD can often get swept up in fundamentalism because the rigid Right vs Wrong world view presses all the right disorder buttons for them. So how many of the most heavily Catholic people in town are mentally ill?
Oh my god and schizophrenia! I read that hallucinations and delusions can often reflect the culture surrounding the person with the disorder. So! In Encanto, a paradise that’s surrounded by a super violent conflict (because this is taking place in Actual Real World Colombia in the mid-20th century), what does that look like? Do they have aural hallucinations where they think they can hear distant sounds of screaming? Do they have delusions that they’re keeping the miracle alive by never letting their candles burn all the way down? How does the culture of the Encanto affect people with schizophrenia?! How are those people treated?!
I know it’s a Disney property, so obviously they’re not going to release a series that does a deep dive into what mental illness in the Encanto looks like but ugh! I have so many questions, do I really have to write all the answers myself?! Rude. I mean, I’m going to do it, if I have the time and energy I am one hundred percent going to write a story about being a mentally ill person in a magic rural village. But still!
Stay tuned for a longer story about Adelaide than I’d ever planned to write, and a stream of consciousness about how Julieta’s gift should affect PTSD. If I get around to it.

Amias Meeting The Wagners
A/N: Dolly forgive me if I got his character wrong I get insecure writing others ocs. But hope you guys like it! This is pretty messy, it was written quickly in the span of like 3 days
Amias belongs to @silverdecepticon93 @dollyreblogs
“Sawyer! What in God’s name is taking so long?” Anja banged her fist on the bathroom door.
“You know, for claiming to be a good Catholic girl, you sure say the Lords name in vain a lot.” Sawyer snapped at his sister as he focused on his hair in the mirror.
“Oh, shut up! Can you hurry, I have to get ready too, you know?” Anja huffed in annoyance.
Sawyer rolled his eyes and opened the door, rushing past his sister and teleporting to his bedroom. He collapsed onto the silk sheets, staring at the ceiling. He took a few deep breaths, trying to regain his composure.
His boyfriend was coming over to meet his family for the first time, and to say he was nervous was a total understatement. He knew his Vater wouldn’t approve, as soon as he mentioned the name ‘Potenza’ he had scowled. He knew Anja despised Midas, but she had agreed to ‘act civil’ (though Sawyer knew that condescending tone anywhere, she would definetly not act civil).
His fur stood on end when he heard the doorbell ring, and he teleported downstairs. Unfortunately, Tommy beat him to it (curse speedsters), and opened the door.
“SAWYER YOUR BOY-oh, there you are.” Tommy noticed his half brother behind him and shoved more of his pop tart into his mouth, getting crumbs on the marble floor.
“Must you?” Sawyer sighed in disapproval.
“I must.” Tommy grinned, more crumbs falling from his mouth. Sawyer couldn’t believe Tommy was already embarrassing him, and making a mess on the floor he had just cleaned. He shoved him aside and opened the door all the way to face his boyfriend.
“Hi, Amias.” Sawyer smiled up at him.
“Ciao, mio caro.” Amias smirked back as he stepped inside and peered around. “Lovely home.”
“Thanks-“
“Is he here?” Luna and Cerise poked their heads around the corner in timid curiosity of the new stranger.
“Oh my god, are you Amias? I have heard so much about you.” TJ waltzed in from the kitchen when she overheard Tommy yelling at the top of his lungs. She grabbed Amias’ gloved hand and shook it firmly, grinning at him. “You’re Italian, right? I love your food.”
“Oh my god.” Sawyer pinched the bridge of his nose as his older sister continued rapidly shaking poor Amias’ hand. He shooed her off of him, and she went back to the kitchen.
“Don’t say the Lords name in vain.” He heard the mocking tone of his sister somewhere behind him.
“Anja, please...”
“Hi, Anja.” Amias grinned cockily at her, already knowing she disliked him.
“Hi, jerk face.” She sneered down at him from the top of the stair case.
“Anja! Tommy! Come help set the table!” Their mother called from the kitchen. Anja teleported out and Tommy zoomed away, leaving Amias and Sawyer alone in the foyer.
“They seem...spirited.” Amias chuckled.
“You haven’t seen anything.” Sawyer grumbled.
“I deal with chaotic idiots on a daily basis, I think I can handle one dinner with your family.” Amias shrugged his coat off and hung it on the rack.
“Whatever you say.” Sawyer shrugged, and led him to the large dining room. Anja shoved Amias as she passed him to set down the plates, glaring at him as she did so. Sawyer narrowed his eyes at her in warning, which she didn’t care too much about.
“Hello, Amias.” Sawyers mother walked in, setting down a bowl of mizeria before shaking his hand. “I’m Wanda.”
“Lovely to meet you, ma’am.” Amias said politely.
“You boys sit.” She gestured to the chairs, before leaning towards Sawyer. “Your father is in a good mood, I made sure of it.”
“Mulțumesc, mamă.” Sawyer kissed her on the cheek quickly, before sitting down next to Amias, who had already made himself at home. Cerise walked in, which made Sawyer feel on edge, because she could bite or yell at any moment. He tensed up as she sat in the seat next to Amias, and glared at him when he glanced at her.
“Do you want to see my collection of bird heads?” She asked after a few moments of silence. Sawyer groaned and slumped in his seat, now officially embarrassed.
“Um...no thank you.” Amias stared down at the small child.
“Okay.” She nodded casually, as if she hadn’t asked the bird owner if he wanted to see a box of decapitated bird heads (which she unfortunately did actually own).
Amias looked at Sawyer and raised an eyebrow in questioning.
“Ignore her.” Sawyer mumbled. “Trust me.”
“She doesn’t actually have bird heads, right?” Amias whispered.
“...sure.”
“Oh god, did Cerise ask you if you wanted to see her box of eyelids?” Sawyers uncle, Pietro asked when he walked in and saw the mix of horror and confusion on both boys faces.
“Unchiule!” Sawyer groaned in even further embarrassment. Amias’ jaw dropped slightly and he moved his chair slightly closer to Sawyer when Cerise grinned up at him.
Everyone finally entered the dining room, setting down dishes of food and glasses of beverages, having their own conversations as they filled their plates. Anja sat across from Sawyer, though her judgmental gaze was fixated on Amias. Sawyer kicked her under the table to tell her to stop, but that only made her more angry and kick back, accidentally hitting Amias instead. Sawyer grimaced when Amias winced in surprise and shock of the small girls strength.
“Anja, cut it out!” Sawyer hissed at her.
“I didn’t do anything.” She shrugged, looking away as if she was innocent.
“So Amias, Sawyer says you’re from Italy?” Kurt asked, despite his clear distaste for the boy. Sawyer was thankful he was at least trying to make nice with him, unlike his dead sister.
Amias went on a ramble about Italy, which Sawyer has heard just about a million times, but he still found himself listening. Dinner went smoothly after that, TJ asking question after question, and Cerise thankfully didn’t ask Amias if he wanted to see anymore dead animal collections.
Once everyone finished dinner Pietro, Wanda and Kurt cleaned the table and began doing all the dishes, so Sawyer tried to escape with Amias upstairs, but his siblings wouldn’t allow that to happen and bombarded Amias with even more questions.
“I don’t get it, why are you dating him?” Luna asked Amias.
“Because I-“
“Yeah, don’t you know he snores?” TJ asked.
“I do not!” Sawyer snapped at her. He in fact, did not snore, that was actually Tommy, but TJ didn’t believe him.
“You so do.” TJ scoffed.
“Yeah, why do you have to date MY brother? Go find someone else.” Anja said.
“Well-“
“You’re a villain right?” Cerise asked.
“Yeah I-“
“Cool. Have you killed people? How many?” She grinned.
“I don’t-“
“Aren’t you friends with a bunch of heroes though? I’ve seen it on the news.” Billy asked.
“I suppose-“
“I like your outfit, is it designer?” Tommy asked. “You know those shoes will give you back pain in 40 years?”
“I don’t think that’s-“
“Oh they will. Trust me. Ask anyone who actually knows fashion.” Tommy said snobbily.
“I’m quite sure I know fashion.” Amias huffed.
“I don’t think so.” Tommy mumbled.
“Okay-“ Amias stood up to fight him, but Sawyer tugged him down. He glared at Tommy, who snickered and sped up the stairs. The tension was broken when Anja brought in a tray of tea, everyone thanking her. Then she “accidentally knocked over” a glass and it spilt on Amias’ shirt. His white shirt.
“Oh, whoops.” She winced, sarcasm dripping in her voice. “Oh gosh, I’m sorry. Was that expensive?”
“It was.” Amias said, pushing down any anger.
“That’s it.” Sawyer grabbed his sister and teleported outside to the balcony. “Anja! What the hell?”
“It was an accident!”
“Clearly it wasn’t!” Sawyer gestured inside, where their mother had cleaned the shirt with magic.
“Oh, what’s gonna happen? He’s gonna melt? It’s just tea.” Anja put her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes.
“You said you would act civil! That wasn’t civil! You’ve been a total asshole all night!”
“Look, I just don’t see why you have to date him! He’s bad! He’s a villain! He turns people to gold! What if one day he turns you to gold? Then you’re dead!”
“He’s not going to!”
“And how do you know that?”
“Because he loves me!” Sawyer glared at her. She exhaled sharply in frustration, looking through the windowed doors at Amias, now awkwardly chatting with Cerise.
“Look, I’m just worried.” Anja sighed. “I don’t even trust our own mother because she’s a villain. I’m starting to not trust you either.”
“What?” Sawyer stared at her.
“You’ve been doing some bad stuff, no one knows what side you’re on!”
“I’m on my side.”
“That’s not a side.” She huffed. “One day you’re helping me and the girls save people from being robbed, the next you’re the one robbing! Why? You don’t need to, we have plenty of money.”
“I don’t know.” Sawyer looked at the ground, not having the courage to look her in the eye.
“Well you should really figure it out.” She mumbled. “I’ll go apologize, okay? I’ll stop.”
“Thank you.” He sighed.
“I love you, you idiot.” She grinned, playfully punching his arm.
“I love you too, you moron.” Sawyer smacked her lightly across the head, messing up her curls.
They went back inside, Anja saying a very quick apology to Amias before excusing herself to help in the kitchen. Sawyer finally got Amias away from his siblings, stepping out into the porch and shutting the door, making sure they weren’t listening in.
“So?” Sawyer grinned awkwardly. “What’d you think?”
“That Cerise is quite obsessed with dead things. She just told me about a haunted doll she owns.” Amias chuckled.
“Yeah, we’re getting her checked out.” Sawyer nodded.
“But seriously, they were great.” Amias reassured him. “It was fun not being able to get out a full sentence all night.”
“Yeah, everyone around here always has to have their two cents in.”
“Hey, it adds a little drama. Like Tommy trying to tell me I have no fashion sense.”
“He has no room to talk, he wears crocs.”
Both of them shuddered at the very idea of crocs. Both boys spun around when a twig snapped, and Sawyer grabbed a baseball bat that had been lying in the rose bush. They saw Tim Drake behind them, going towards the side of the mansion.
“Tim? What are you doing here?” Sawyer asked, lowering the bat as they stood up straight.
“Um...nothing?” Tim said.
“You would think for being a super spy, you’d be better at sneaking around.” Amias grimaced at him.
“You’re sneaking in to see Anja, aren’t you?” Sawyer raised the bar again.
“What? No.” He shook his head quickly. “I Uh...I came by to say...that Uh...”
“That’s what I thought. I am so telling dad! Bye Amias!” Sawyer grinned, turned and kissed Amias on the cheek, then ran inside. “Dad! Guess what?”
Amias turned back to Tim, glaring at him.
“Screw you, man! That was supposed to be a romantic moment!”

101 DRAGON AGE QUESTIONS | not accepting
for the sake of reducing the number of ooc posts i’m answering these all in one and just @ing the people who asked the questions! thank you for them all!
if you sent me one of these btw and rbed this meme yourself and i didn’t send you something, please let me know! i want to send you things back and must have missed you reblogging the meme. this includes non-mutuals.
1. How did you get into Dragon Age? | asked by @kaaras-adaar & @dreamerlavellan
Sort of by accident, actually. It was the summer between my freshman and sophomore years in university (2011) and summertime is generally a time of inactivity and depression because I cannot tolerate the weather here. My dad happened to own Origins and I picked it up because??? Fantasy? RPG?
Starting the game I saw you could play as a dwarf, who have been my favourites in fantasy since a child as The Hobbit is among my favourite books. Then after that I fell in love with the worldbuilding for dwarves and Gorim, my first actual Dragon Age love. I was more or less hooked after that. DA was actually not my first Bioware game, I was obsessed with Jade Empire as a kid so like Origins appealed to me immediately despite being far less fun to play than literally any other Bioware game I’ve ever played. The characters and world more than made up for it.
I beat it relatively quickly and my dad bought Dragon Age II which had come out earlier that day, actually against my suggestion because I’d heard it wasn’t good. And in this instance my dad forgetting something I said turned out for the best because I ended up enjoying DAII more in some respects. While it took me a while to join the fandom as a content producer I was a consumer and certified DA trash from then on.
2. Have you finished all three games? | asked by @kaaras-adaar
Kskjdfs yes. I’ve beaten each at least 4 times, but probably more like 8. The only thing I haven’t played are some of the Origins DLC because as much as I enjoy my replays I am so ready to be out by the end of the game (and I have the worst luck with Awakening bugs) and I also don’t have Sebastians DLC b/c his never goes on sale individually and I refuse to spend more than like $4 on him.
3. How long did it take you to finish the series? | asked by @kaaras-adaar
I honestly don’t know. I think it took me like a week to beat Inquisition without 100%ing it, I’d say my first playthroughs all probably took about that long. I tend not to do everything in my first playthrough. Like shard collecting didn’t happen until round two, etc.
7. Favorite DA:O backstory? | asked by @dreamerlavellan & @fatefaulted
I’ve played through all of them and I enjoy them all except Cousland, but my favourite is Aeducan. I enjoy the politics, the culture, the aesthetic of Orzammar. I love Gorim Saelac and the surprising amount of depth to this character who is designed to be thrown away after the prologue. I love how it ties you to the Darkspawn threat in a bigger way than any of the origins accomplish. I love how it ties you to the Orzammar plot later in the game, and playing Aeducan first is probably one reason why I adore that branch of the game. It’s a good origin that establishes its world really well and has great characters to boot.
11. Share a pic of your favorite OC from any DA game. | asked by @dreamerlavellan
I just want to share pics of my girl and Solas’ future husband.
Ian Lavellan, non-Inquisitor written by @theshirallen
Thora Cadash, dwarven Inquisitor and default Inquisitor for this blog written by... me lmao.
22. Favorite DA2 party combo? | asked by @fatefaulted
My main Hawke is a mage Hawke, so this party is horrendously imbalanced, but: Varric, Merrill, Isabela. They all just like each other and I think that’s neat. Although in act one my favourite is probably Carver, Merrill, Isabela / Varric. Unfortunately the game doesn’t want me to have a warrior in my party.
24. Favorite main-story quest from DA:I? | asked by @kaaras-adaar
It’s hard to pick between In Hushed Whispers and In Your Heart Shall Burn. I love seeing the red lyrium’d companions and the dark future of Thedas, and speculating on what happened in the intervening year. I love reflecting on what it must do for the Inquisitor to see that and have it be undone. I think it sets up the rest of the game really well, and in ways Champions of the Just doesn’t do quite as well.
In Your Heart Shall burn is a simpler quest but I think the power and emotions in the quest are so raw. Playing this the first time was riveting and I was on the edge of my seat. The triumph of closing the Breach, the strangeness of your first encounter with Cole (whose appearance at the gates is another reason I prefer IHW tbh, I think it’s more tension building than Dorian’s), Corypheus, crawling through the snow. Capping it off with The Dawn Will Come and the journey to Skyhold idk, it’s just such an emotional high point in the series that every time I replay I get goosebumps.
25. Favorite DA:I place? | asked by @fatefaulted
It’s a tie between the Frostback Basin and the Emerald Graves. I love the lore in both, as elf trash I prefer the lore in the graves especially if I can include the Din’an Hanin into that category. But the Avvar lore and Ameridan is also Very Good, and while I adore the giant trees of the graves the Frostback Basin clearly was able to have more resources poured into its design, and as a result the different sections of the map have so much more character.
A close runner-up is the Hinterlands, as I think the quests there are fun and it feels like home. I enjoy returning to it. Which is good, b/c I’ve played through it... a lot... I think loving it might be a coping mechanism, but also I love the vibe of the early game that’s best captured in the Hinterlands.
32. Favorite DLC mission overall? | asked by @fatefaulted
Trespasser is up there with Shivering Isles as my favourite DLC ever produced. Its hits every emotional beat I think it needed to hit, set up the next game with greater detail and intrigue than the initial epilogue, and I’m honestly dying to get to replay it again on Thora despite what it does to my nerves. The first time I played it I could feel my heart beating faster like wtf me.
37. Blood magic: yes or no? | asked by @hopewrought
Would I use it myself? No. Morally I think it can be reprehensible but also neutral, much like any other magic in the game. In certain characters I think even if used for good it may encourage unhealthy habits, but I think it can be learned to be engaged with in better ways.
59. Who was written really poorly? | asked by @theshirallen you can’t hide behind anon I know it was you
Oghren fucking Kondrat. When I think about the reasons Origins is my least favourite game he is among them. With Oghren there was a really good chance to portray an alcoholic abuse victim, suffering from severe mental health issues, and still mourning his wife, with the respect it deserves. Instead he just... is a gross sexist dwarf and his alcoholism is mostly played for jokes. And then he comes back in Awakening and... continues to be a gross sexist dwarf whose alcoholism is mostly played for jokes.
There could have been some really interesting stuff with Oghren, the Warrior caste of dwarves I think would suffer from issues similar to qunari warriors, where when they can no longer fill the purpose society has dictated they must serve, what then? They can’t do anything but fight. There could be comradery with Sten, or perhaps Zevran or Alistair, or any of the companions who have had the path their lives took dictated to them by societal forces they had no say in (even if they are happy with that direction). There are snippets of good stuff in here, the line “let us show them our hearts, Warden, and then show them theirs” is one of the best of the good-byes the game offers us imo. It’s a shame about what came before.
Like there are other characters, such as Sera, who I think were done dirty by their writers, but Sera at least got some growth in the DLC and there were attempts to address criticism of her character. Oghren in Awakening was just kind of a take two of an already poorly-done arc.
60. Who do you wish had been given more story? | asked by @hopewrought
I wish Briala had more, like that she had some impact on the story in universes where Gaspard isn’t crowned with her as his puppetmaster. She and the elves reappears in that but not if you reunite her with Celene or exile her, and I think it would’ve been neat. I also wish she’d had a chance to interact with Solas in some small way given how many parallels were drawn by one of his own agents during Masked Empire.
I also wish we had more about dwarves in general in 2 and Inquisition. We get some great lore in Inquisition that was set up in 2, but with our only dwarf companion being Varric, who honestly has a relationship with his race that at times is comparable to Sera’s, it pulls a few of its punches. I really think they have dwarves set up to be important players in the next game, with their architecture featuring heavily in the dev diary, buuut no dwarves to be seen. So who knows. Just give me dwarves in the next game who aren’t Varric Bioware pls. Let me kiss one maybe.
61. Favorite NPC? | asked by @kaaras-adaar
I’m not going to count advisors even though they kinda are NPCs and I’m going to answer one for each game so uhh...
Origins - Anora
DA2 - Feynriel
DA:I - Krem
Bonus - Lord Woolsley, the only unproblematic DA character
63. Best story moment? | asked by @ghilannainguideme
It’s a tie between the journey to Skyhold and the talk with Solas at the end of Trespasser and the resulting disbanding of the Inquisition (if you so choose). I really can’t separate them because I think the reason Trespasser works so well is how it calls back to the very beginning of Inquisition and that moment with Solas in the snow. It’s triumphant and sad, something’s ending, the fellowship is breaking, but you know all of you will continue to work towards a better world apart.
In DA:O I think it’d be saying good-bye before the final battle and in DA2 I think the moment where you can tell the Arishok he was right to take in the elves who killed that guardmen is good. Probably one of the reasons why I think Hawke-Arishok work so well as a protagonist-antagonist combination.
81. Favorite fanfic? | asked by @ghilannainguideme
I don’t read a lot of fanfic, actually. Save what I read on here, which I do count, but idk if other people do.
My favourite writers to read are @theshirallen, obviously. Joly wants to tweakIan’s personal quest but I think the version they have written now is still very good and you can find it here. I love reading Peace’s stuff and find their smut especially spicy in the best possible way, you can find a Merrill/f!Mahariel piece here! Gaia doesn’t write on Tumblr much these days, but she wrote a wonderful Tug/Sketch (the companions from Leliana’s Song) that you can find here.
I follow so many talented writers and I can’t list them all but here are a few I can fire off real fast: @theshirallen / @ghilannainguideme / @seahaloed / @sabraelin / @valorcorrupt / @mercysought / @hopewrought / @ofrevas / @skyheld have all moved me with their words at some point, be it in fic or rp.
82. Favorite fanart/fanartist? | asked by @ghilannainguideme
Again I just can’t choose jsdfks.
The easiest way is to just link my Solas fanart tag. Obviously this favours Solas artists, however, so also here’s a link to thedaswlw where there’s a boatload of amazing fanart all of wlw.
Of people I’m mutuals with I know @abracafockyou, @kaaras-adaar, @dalathin (currently inactive but I gotta link them), and @syntharts are all very talented artists. I’m also a big fan of destinyapostacy, nipuni, elbenherzart, starscollected (on twitter), and many more.
97. What’s your favorite DA mod? | asked by @ghilannainguideme & @hopewrought
I’ll chose one as many as I want to apparently from each game again, b/c why not?
DA:O - I have to admit I find this game hard to mod because nothing can really salvage the gameplay or look of the game. I need Better Dwarf Model so I don’t have to look at the odd dwarf proportions in the game (the women have arms for days). Mostly I have armour mods. I like Grey Wardens of Ferelden so I can match Alistair in the final batte and have everyone in uniforms in Awakening. I do like Kirkwall Exports because I can put Zevran in the robes of the notorious pirate tho. I haven’t used this mod yet but I also love this mod I retweeted this morning.
DA2 - Again, I don’t mod 2 very much. You could probably make some kind of chart for correlating my enjoyment of a game versus my urge to mod it, with the more I love a game means I want to mod it more. With 2 I enjoy the combat and overall design of the characters more so I mostly use a couple of tweaks, my favourite is Ishs Scarf for Merrill which just adds a cute blue scarf to Merrill and hides the fact that elves in this game have weirdly long necks. Oh and a mod to fix the weird hand dirt.
DA:I - Equal Opportunity Solas mod, I bought the game again on PC just to use it. Being able to play Solas/Ian for screencaps was everything tbh. Other mods I enjoy are More Banter, which while I have better luck with banter it is nice to be able to count on it. I installed it this latest pt and I have heard location comments that have never triggered before. Black Hair for Everyone has changed my life because finally Thora doesn’t have grey hair. No Dirt Buildup is also amazing, as the dirt can cause some really weird blotting on PCs that’s especially noticeable on dark-skinned Inquisitors.
99. Where would you live (Ferelden, Orlais, Free Marches etc?) | asked by @heysales
Probably Ferelden. It is fantasy England and hey if I make it past Inquisition maybe nothing will ever happen there again. Somewhere in the Free Marches might also be chill. Not Kirkwall. Maybe Starkhaven? Honestly tho I just want to live in the Frostback Basin. Have a spirit friend. Shake hands with nugs.
101. If you could meet your Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor, what would you say? | asked by @dreamerlavellan
If I met Thora I’d tell her I’m proud of her. She’d be confused, but that’s ok.

OC Masterlist
Quick intros for my OCs as I’m going to write about them and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Rosalia Scarlett Dawn AKA Rose-
My main girl, healing powers, the MCU version of her was recruited by SHIELD right after she got her first PHD after she was caught studying alien biology, takes her a while to become an actual superhero as her healing powers were hard to convert into anything that she could put on the field, with help from her anti-hero/ villain nemesis who she has had sexual tension with ever since they shared a dorm in medical school but then she became unethical and ignorant of the people around her ergo turning into a bad guy. Rose is usually good and wholesome but she has a dark destructive side that was awoken after her nemesis used her powers on her. Rose is selfless to the point of not taking care of herself because any time spent not helping people with her powers is time wasted in her eyes and she tends to take medical cases that no one else can, usually pertaining to other powered people, aliens, magic illnesses, etc.
Roses Intro Sheet - SHIELD & Hydra
Andromeda Starling-
Roses endgame girlfriend, shapeshifter, in the MCU she accidentally used a Hydra spaceship to escape the planet as her parents were both scientists involved with that kind of thing. She didn’t really think it through and she ended up on a skrull refugee planet where she crash landed and had to be enhanced to save her life. She’s not good at teamwork and tends to be a loner as she’s afraid to get close to people. She hates being bossed around and work with other people. She can do most on her own just fine. She hates having to admit she needs help with something. She’s a pretty decent pilot and prefers swords over guns. If she likes someone enough to become attached, she get’s very protective and even a bit clingy but that rarely happens.
Andromeda’s Intro Sheet - Andromeda Portrait - Simple Lesbians - B&W Portrait
Adisa Crow AKA Doctor Plague-
Roses nemesis, she was subtly jealous of Roses powers so she secretly tried to recreate them, instead the outcome gave her powers that could reverse other’s powers against them and make normal people ill. She became a virus in every sense of the word and even tech malfunctions around her. But her powers affect herself a little, making her go a little crazy over time and more willing to do fucked up things in the name of science. Yes she wears a plague doctor mask that helps her powers not affect herself. Her powers also heighten her negative feelings and only give her relief when she uses her powers on other people as it hates being restricted. She’s given up on being free of it and has embraced her role as a super-plague. It’s actually kind of sad really...
Adisa Crow Portrait - Nemesis Tension
Phoenix AKA Maat (Matt) Ramses-
Necromancer goth mom, grew up an orphan with the sorcerers of Kamar Taj as her parents were wakandan sorcerers who died protecting the reality and the ancient one sensed her magic potential, however she wasn’t great at the normal magic that they tried to teach her. She had to steal forbidden books about necromancy to really get a hold of her powers. She left the sorcerers and found others like her, connected to death, and she made a family. but eventually she would have to investigate her roots in wakanda and it may not be pretty. She inherited her parents relics, a gold sword with a hilt of wings and a gold helmet based on the helms of the egyptian pharaohs. Maat didn’t quite work as a vigilante, she just was drawn to people that needed her help and she literally can’t stop herself from intervening when humanity can be so terrible. Anyway she hates cops and abusers and rapists and all that and she does her best to help the people that they hurt.
Phoenix Portrait - Open Helmet Idea - The magic relics
Diana Schmitt-
Trans girl mutant who can control and melt metal and glass, making her own weapons on the fly and using debris to her advantage. Her left arm and her right leg were frozen off by anti-mutant extremists and she makes herself prosthetics with her powers made of glass shards that she can use and layers of different kinds of metal with the outside being gold because she likes the aesthetic. She’s covered in scars from the torture and from her own forging projects. She loves making things and does her best to be positive and kind to other people but trauma is still trauma and superheroes aren’t known for going to therapy. She has PTSD and gets triggered by excessive cold and dark places. She has to learn to confront her pain and move beyond it, while also going to therapy and stuff.
Diana Portrait - Pride Month Portrait - Early Intro Sheet
Guinevere Kaimana-
literally a mermaid who spent several decades under the water as a hermit and has water powers and electric eel levels of electric powers. (until she’s at her most powerful but still not more than like some thunder in a tropical storm, she can’t like summon lighting to strike people or anything.) In the MCU she’s a mutant who left after her mutation out of fear of rejection and in my fantasy version of my OC universe she’s a pirate mermaid princess. She figured out how to temporarily turn her tail into a tail shaped skirt and tattoos on her legs similar to fishnet tights. She can’t stay human for very long and when she’s human she has to be fully hydrated or she could die. She has an enemies to competitors to friends to lovers with Diana and it’s a very slow burn.
Gwen Pride Portrait - mermay
Alexandria Iriklitis-
Superhero therapist with a magic voice. Her singing can manipulate the emotions of anyone that can hear it, even through recordings and microphones and stuff, and eventually she can use it to control objects around her through levitation and even destroying the area around her if she’s emotionally charged and loud enough (which happens when she goes temporarily deaf and thinks that she can’t responsibly use her powers anymore.) She has to be very careful with her powers as music is already made to affect peoples emotions but with her powers, any miscalculation can be destructive. Someone may have bad memories of a happy song and elevate those bad feelings. So she usually depends on non-lyrical songs and her own improvisation skills. In my fantasy OC universe she’s a magic bard that’s drawn to chaos and flirts with everyone because she’s a bard. She tries not to use her magic voice to make people do things they don’t want to do, she tries to not rely on it to get whatever she wants.
Alex Portrait
Artemis Dawn-
Roses non-powered sister who is a SHEILD agent that struggles with living in her sisters shadow. They go through an arc of repairing their relationship and get to the point of being very close and killing for each other. Artemis specializes in sharpshooting, martial arts, and disguises. She uses makeup and clothing and wigs to completely change her appearance to a point where even the people that know her best won’t recognize her. In the fantasy AU universe she dresses up as a man to become a knight after being shamed out of her princess status. She’s a badass and deals with a major inferiority complex and has to prove that she’s just as good as her superpowered sister. When hydra takes over shield, she has to save her sister from their clutches and causes Roses first power burst that kills the hydra agents by forcing their bones to grow together to turn them into grotesque body horror statues. Fun. Artemis has a cold hard exterior but softens up around her sister and it confuses her colleagues to no end. Not many people knew she could smile outside of a role.
Artemis Portrait

Harvest Moon & Story of Seasons: To the Ones I’ve Loved (and Have Crushed On, In Some Form or Another)
This will be under the cut, because there are a LOT of games to address!
Cliff: More Friends of Mineral Town/DS Cute
One of my lovetime faves from the series! I related to him, what with us both being shy and needing help a lot from the people around us. Look at how cute he is when he blushes!! Whenever I play DS Cute, he’s always my first option.
(He also likes grapes. Always a good choice.)
Gray: More Friends of Mineral Town/DS Cute
I...have complicated feelings for Gray, honestly. On one hand, he’s never stood out too much to me, for some reason. He’s a fun enough character- a gruff grandson of the local blacksmith, who softens up over your relationship with him- but he never caught my eye as someone I’d wish to chase down as much as, say, Cliff.
But at the same time, I have many fond memories of calling him “Uma Boy” (because of his hat) and it’s cute?? It has “childhood friends to lovers” vibes that still makes me hesitate when I want to say I- supposedly- have no interest in him...
Karen: Friends of Mineral Town/HM DS
While I prefer her art design to this one (the one with her two-toned hair), I adore this bachorlette regardless! A part of it her design, but the other part of it her assertive nature... After all, when I’m not looking to grow together with someone, I’m looking for someone who will help me come out of my shell! (Even if I must be dragged out, which Karen would certainly do.)
Marlin: DS Cute
Gosh... I remember overlooking a lot of bachelors back in the day. I was admittedly kinda shallow as a kid, so I easily looked over plenty of fine guys in favor of the “prettier” ones...ignoring my vague interest in the girls. However, in my endless attempts to see all heart events (cheat codes, babey!)....I ended up really liking Marlin. More than I thought I would.
He’s sickly, but determined to make it on his own. Hating that he’s babied, but acknowledging the fact that being sick is kinda scary for the family who looks after him, his elder sister, Vesta (owner of a popular farm in Forget-Me-Not Valley), and their hired help, Celia.
He blushes cute, is cute, and though I never married him in game, I did consider it. He’s doing his best and is so damn supportive...
Celia: HM DS
Speaking of Celia-!! Talk about one of my earlier girl-crushes! I had feelings for her that I could never pin down, because I didn’t hate her or anything, but I didn’t quite....friend-like her, either. Apparently, it’s because I’m panromantic af. Who would’ve guessed?!
Anyways. She’s cute, oblivious like me, and just as hardworking as Vesta, with all the kindness to look after Marlin w/o taking away his agency and wanting to help others.... Basically, I’m saying that if I F/O any one of these two, the other is coming with. Farming power throuple.
Flora: HM DS
(Belated sidenote that HM DS and DS Cute are the same game, but Different Gender. Natsume was slow on that one for a long while.)
Flora was yet another one of those ladies that I liked, but didn’t know it was because I was actually p gay. Whoops! Anyways, you see this lovely lass working on site with Carter (an older bachelor, for those who have a Type for older men). They’ve been working on this mine site, because...I think there’s some archeological finds down there? It’s been a long time since I played, so I don’t remember much!
....However, strong woman in a tank top and shorts make me a happy, fluster gay and her hair looking as fluffy as it does only intensifies it. (Ah, to lovingly brush off the dust and mud from her face from a long day at work... Clean her glasses for her while she cleans up... [dreamy sigh])
Skye: DS Cute
(oh god, I wrote his name as Skype accidentally, oH NO) Another bachelor I really liked during the early days....though for a long time, it was a toss up on if I Liked him or liked him [to pair with an OC]. While I did eventually pair him with an OC (Claire, the blonde MC option for DS Cute), there’s still a fondness in my heart for him...
And a plot twist, now... His “chick beam” ain’t gonna work on someone who’s not a girl~!
Muffy: HM DS
She’s just....cute. And hardworking. Flirty. The girl at the bar not only helping serve up drinks (to the best of her abilities; she’s learning), but a fun time! Definitely a bit of the stereotypical femme, but good gosh, I’d never want her any other way. Literally the only problem I’d have is I get uncomfortable around drunk people (past issues, fear of potential addictive personality, and drunk ppl are usually Loud People).
Otherwise, I’d love to be supportive of Muffy, her dreams, and how damn cute she looks!! (And relate to fears of getting our hearts broken, but oooohhh it’s got fic potential, that does.)
Keira: HM DS
This lovely lady is not only one of the early-day, special bachelorettes, but mute, as well! Her voice was taken away by the Witch Princess and (with no in game way to get it back for her) she communicates by writing on a board.
....Basically, I want to learn sign language with her and create a peaceful house with her and maybe a bunch of cats. Purrhaps.
Jamie: Magical Melody
(I was no longer able to get sprites/icons from this point forward, sorry!!) This game. Is so difficult...and go figure the one I like the best is the hardest possible spouse to woo! Complete the game, ship out at least one of EVERY crop, have owned one of every animal (at some point), and etc. Oh. My goddess. THE AMOUNT OF WORK TO MARRY SOMEONE YOU CAN’T EVEN KEEP!!!!
....Yeah, uh. All that work and the game resets. No post-marriage bliss for the PC and Jamie. (Who is apparently genderfluid.) I.....augh. In the end, it’s not even their nearly-toxic, tsundere personality that drives me up the wall.... It’s the fact that I can’t marry them and have it stay that way unless I want to write a bunch of fanfiction about it. :/
Meanies. Making me write out all this stuff myself...
Ray: Magical Melody
I feel sorry to say it, but I will: When I learned the game wouldn’t let the player marry Jamie permanently, I sought out someone else...and found comfort in Ray. He’s a well-known fisher and- apparently- has a timeslot on the TV for talking about fishing, too.
It’s a very fish-based lifestyle, but I guess that’s why I play as a farmer, right~? We can bring some variety in to the meal table! (Also, he’s a shy guy. What a cutie~)
Chase: Animal Parade
The reason I got into playing this game....and then everything else solidified my reasons to play forevermore! And to this day, Animal Parade is my favorite HM/SoS game of all time. (Literally the only thing that could’ve made it more perfect would be changing hairstyles/colors... Oh, and gay marriage. Gimme that too, pls.)
ANYWAYS, this asshole is tsundere as hell and a prickly pear, but.... If you can fight past it to befriend him, he’s pretty fun and....I guess dedicated to his work, is the best way I can phrase it. He’s still very much not too “soft” even after marriage (though he can be pretty damn cute), but... Basically, imagine Gordon Ramsey in a dating sim, complete with a redesign. Pretty accurate description of Chase.
I ship him more w/ an OC I have than myself, buuuut he’s still precious to me. In a dorky, tsundere way. (Also, I think about the OC I ship him with all the time... That whole save file was me being dedicated to marrying this man, from the name of the farm to the crops I sold. Goodness!)
Wizard: Animal Parade
The husband. Of all time. Not just for his looks, but also his sweet, quiet, gentle personality. Wizard (who’s real name is not revealed until you marry him) speaks in many ellipses.....some longer...than others.... But he’s also a stargazer. Oh, and implied to be long-lived. Y’know. Things to break your heart with.
I simply cannot put into words how much I adore him. I originally played this game to marry Chase (as I mentioned above), but it was Wizard who stole my heart. He’s been on my F/O list ever since and it’s there he’ll stay!
Harvest King: Animal Parade
One who actually used to be on my F/O list, but I removed him because I thought feelings had faded.....haha, fool. Nobody escapes the king. (Or, well, Harvest God, but y’know. Translation avoiding mentions of “god” and all.)
Honestly, I didn’t know how to feel about him aside from “I like his design” for a long while. He’s got a lot of elements that are aesthetically pleasing to me, but w/o good characterization to back him up... What’s left? (Plus, him not living at home with the PC kinda sucked. Was being a single parent really gonna be okay with me...?)
What ended up breaking my heart and reviving it all at once was his 20 heart line. “After you are gone… I shall love what you loved… I shall sing the songs that you sang.”
He is immortal. He must stay atop the mountain, only able to watch...sneak away, perhaps, when he can. He sees the inevitability of the PC’s death...and fuck. It hurts in the most bittersweet way. To imagine him, alone, years upon thousands of years after they are gone.....and yet, remember them so well. Perhaps still distantly watch over what becomes of his family line...
To love this man is to experience the love and pain of mortal/immortal couples, and- truly- know what the phrase means: “To love and have lost is better than to never love at all.”
Harvest Goddess: Animal Parade
There are many incarnations of the Goddess throughout the HM/SoS series, but this one from AP is a forever fave from me. Her design is gorgeous on so many levels (the looping braid, the ombre in her hair color, her outfit, the wing-like extensions on her back, the large hoop bracelets, etc), her face looks so kind and.......breathtaking beyond words--
And much like Wizard and Harvest King before her, she has a name she can only share with you after marriage. And having that detail be a part of her marriage ceremony is what hits a little harder, I feel. It feels so much more personal to have a name that isn’t just “Harvest Goddess” to call her. (I’m pretty sure some of the other games have done this, too? But again, I personally prefer this iteration!)
....If I ever were to ship with her, I honestly feel like I’d have to do an OT3 w/ Harvest King. He’s a prickly bastard and Harvest Goddess here would likely roll her eyes at him many a time, but... Considering their understanding and eventual love of mortal life, I’d say they could reach an agreement someday.
Toby: Animal Parade
Gosh. Another character I didn’t think much of until later... I wanted to do an LP of Animal Parade and- for the occasion- got obsessed with a new OC to focus on; I named her Elise and framed everything after her around musicians and songs. (Because her name was a reference to Fur Elise.) Of course, I then had to think of who she’d marry....
Toby was not only an option for her, but quickly caught my interest as easily as he caught fish. Though it might’ve helped that he reminded me of another, old anime crush!
Anyways, much like he appears, Toby is a laid back young man. He spends his days happily enjoying his hobby- fishing (he isn’t employed, despite his family owning a business)- and soaking up nature. His heart events reflect this, musing about the tranquility of nature and enjoying the silence and relaxation of fishing. (There’s also a few occasions where he opens his eyes... The color of them is SO pretty!)
And if you marry him? Traditional Japanese wedding attire. He looks so handsome in it~!
Candace: Animal Parade
I just....really like shy girls. And Candace especially makes me feel SO MANY warm fuzzies. Has high social anxiety, but prefers her time be spent in her family’s shop, Sonata Tailoring. She’s a talented worker, and with her grandmother’s help and sister’s guidance, it’s become quite the fashion hotspot! (Well.... Perhaps it’ll do far better after the PC helps heal up the island some more, y’know? The place isn’t doing so hot without help from the Harvest Sprites!)
ALSO, I really, really love her big hair and outfit... Her big braids look so soft and she looks incredibly cozy in her cardigan... Honestly, the cardigan, button up shirt, and skirt alone work together to put together the image of someone shy, yet warm in both personality and in being! (...But I bet her fingers get cold... Gee, suppose I could do something about that...?)
Precious. 100/10, would love to kiss her cheek softly and make her blush while snow falls outside, but we’re in my warm home with a big puppy and the fireplace going.
Vaughn: Island of Happiness/Sunshine Islands
Heehee, tiny. Anyways, meet cowboy husband! Fond of farm animals, his work (delivering farm animals to the island)....and that’s about it. Not really too thrilled about other people, but his whole arc is about warming up to you, anyways, so. It’s one of those, fksjfkls.
He’s REALLY cute, though.... I wish I had more memories w/ him, but I lost the OG file where I married him and we had a kid, so. Heck. :)
William Terry Louis Andrew Carrick Jonathan Dredge Hams Redding Rodger Southwark Alnwick Plymouth Junior Regison III: Sunshine Islands
Yes. Yes, I did need to write out his full name. I married this man and if I have to process that this is my husband’s full name, you do, too. (Seriously, why did they make his name so long?!) This man’s long name aside...
Not only is he your typical rich boy (complete with Big Boat), but he’s also....a prince! Bet you woulda never seen that coming... (And yes, he does have a white horse that he rides around occasionally.) I know I’m roasting him, here, but he deserves it. A little bit. Maybe. Totally not because I can still feel the distant effects of this man flustering me in the past...
(He’s so charming and he has some misguided moments, but goodness, he is just Pure of Heart, Dumb of Ass. I love him.)
Lily: Sunshine Islands
Visiting treasure hunter, adorkable, and with a way of finding her next great adventure. She’s so lively! And lovely! Maybe she should look into a mirror and find out the great treasure of all is herself!!!
Okay, that was pretty cheesy.
Regardless, she’s a delight, I love her character, and any jealousy I might’ve had towards her in the past? Gone for deep feelings of, “Let me love you and let’s create the greatest treasure collection of all~!”
Angelo: Grand Bazaar
I remember Angelo not quite being my first choice when I got Grand Bazaar. He seemed adorable, and having another artist around is always a plus, but... I simply wasn’t sure if I should go through with it. Would he impress me that much?
...In the end, he did. I remember being with my cousins when I stumbled into his final heart event, freaking out and hurrying to write it down! (I had a habit of writing down the dialogue to every heart event I witnessed. I have some of them still, to this day!)
He’s far more of a well-rounded artist than I am, but I think that’s just another thing to love about him. Well, that, and a difficulty handling people when he needs them to stop! (It’s relatable, is what I mean; telling people off- even if you really need to- is hard! Especially when it’s a kid!) He’s just....a ton of fun at the end of the day. And that fluffy hair...... You know I love it~!
Emiko: Grand Bazaar
I never got to meet Emiko, to my memory. I didn’t play Grand Bazaar a lot, nor for too long, as the learning curve for the bazaar was steep. (I wasn’t much one for learning recipes, and then they wanted me to learn how to peddle my wares?! And sometimes, it went by so fast!!! It was super overwhelming...) However, she’s a special bachelorette, so getting to meet her at all would’ve been a surprise/struggle for the me who fought trying to learn the bazaar alone...
Looking on her here and now... She. Is. Adorable. Hard to woo, but a secret shrine-area behind the waterfall? The last heart event is letting her see the world for herself...? I love that so much. Getting to re-experience the world through a new view is something I treasure dearly, and Emiko is just that...along with being super adorable. I harp on it because it’s true!!
Maybe someday, if I try the game again with more success... I’ll play as a guy just to court Emiko.
Cam: Tale of Two Towns
Literally the reason I bought this game in the first place, LMAO! He looked really cute and hearing that he worked at a flower shop? How could I ever resist?! The scene was set up for adorableness and potential romance (based around flowers) and so I was eagerly swept away~!
And he does live up to that sweet, charming air...while also being a bit social anxious; how relatable!
Kana: Tale of Two Towns
I haven’t played this game in forever, but if there was anything to ever remember about it..... Kana is a himbo. This man works with horses, so he is strong. Respects women. His dummy part kicks in because this man rarely thinks of anything else except horses (we stan this man and his hyperfixation). You can befriend him with gifts of horse treats.
Marrying this man is marrying him AND getting a free horse-sister out of it (her name is Hayate) and with arms like that? What a dream come true, on all sides.
Nori: Tale of Two Towns
Local seamstress and assistant to her grandfather at his seed shop. Honestly... She kinda reminds me of myself. Although while I’ve quieted down in some ways, I’ve stayed lively in others! I mostly just need friends around to bring my energy up, instead of producing it fresh, myself, ehehe.
But seriously... Her kindness goes above and beyond, perfectionist anxiety is relatable, and it just...sounds nice to put together a life with her. Helping others, helping each other, helping ourselves. Wow.
Reina: Tale of Two Towns
The botanist who- much like someone else- hyperfixates on her work until the world around her is white noise. While it is a shame to feel like you’re not being listened to and your S/O is lost in her work... Honestly, the thought of learning about plants from her has me losing it. Also, a home filled with perfectly cared-for plants? MAJOR serotonin.
It’s like.....the ideal cottagecore couple, just with more farming involved. (Personally, for me, the image of cottagecore has always been small, personal gardens and not the sprawling estate of land-for-crops (and animals!) that HM puts out.) One of us will be making cute journals...or maybe it’s both of us? She does aesthetic research journals and I do cute, personal ones? With poems and such?
UGH. Just call me a simp and get it over with.
Sanjay: A New Beginning
Do I even have to say it? How fast I fell for this man? Because I shouldn’t. I’m incredibly predictable with my tastes and they will likely never change.
Anywho. Butler to Amir (another potential bachelor), but all I wanted was this soft-hearted, gentle man who looks out for everyone, is incredibly kind and friendly, and loves tea a whole bunch. His long hair, put into a braid.... [sighs dreamily] How ever am I going to cope...?
I never did finish ANB, but I want to! Because this man is SO HANDSOME and I wanna put a ring on it. (Sorry, Amir! You might need to employ someone else! Thanks, bye!)
Inari: Trio of Towns
This one came from a recommendation, one I wasn’t at all expecting...and now I’m “stuck” with this one. And don’t want them to let go.
They remind me of two previous spouses already on the list: Harvest King/Goddess and Jamie. The latter for their gender being undefined until marriage (where the game will then either dress Inari up in masculine marriage clothes or feminine marriage clothes, to be the opposite gender to the PC). The former checks out in that- like them and many other special candidates- Inari will not live at home with the player. It breaks my heart, but the reward itself is seeing this lovely fox deity learn how to love, to be willing to put their heart on the line, and even have a child.
I couldn’t be happier to be introduced to this game in such a way. Consider my first save slot dedicated to you, darling kitsune~! (And a spot for you on the F/O list sometime soon, too!)
Yuzuki: Trio of Towns
“I won’t fall in love with another bachelor,” I lied, lyingly. “I will just be in love with Inari. Nobody else.” A fool, I was. Predictable, as all times before. I read a little too much into a character....and suddenly, a proposal comb is being slapped into my hand. Dammit!
Being the fan-favorite occasionally helps my interest in certain characters, but what always gets me in the end...is that personality. Oh, and does Yuzuki deliver... Not only is he a kind, supportive man with his own business, but said business is making hairpins! His grandmother usually helps model them, but more and more during your romancing does your PC model for him, instead. (Literally the first piece you model he made SPECIFICALLY with you in mind, oh my god.)
But wait! There’s more! Being a model that knocks him breathless...and shows a surprising bit of ego. (Not a bad thing, but definitely not a vice I was expecting from him!) So many cute lines. Goodness.
....I admittedly just watched the heart/flower events, so I’m SOFT.
#Aki speaks#THIS GOT SO UNCONTROLLABLY LONG OOPS#I had more crushes than I thought....#and then I thought a LOT of girls were cute...#ugh I wish the older games#let you gay marry.....#like....I'll be a dude to marry a cute wife#but also consider this: Make It Gay#Make It Even More Gay#MFoMT SoS remake added in gay marriage#so I'm THRILLED about that#but KEEP IT COMING MISTER#LET'SA GO; MORE GAY SHIT PLEASE#anyways#I also love the new era of customization#one step at a time#to a more glorious PC.....and I love it#still think HM peaked at AP tho#literally tweak a few things and it's Perfect Forever

In case anyone was wondering where the hell I went over the last week or so... I’ve been making some new characters! I’m in a weird place mentally right now, and when that happens I always end up with new OCs. These are my magical girls!
This is another concept set in my “comboverse” universe, which I’m not sure I’ve actually talked about on this blog before—the general gist of it is that in 2017, an alien mothership larger than several US states crashes down to Earth, gouging a huge gash into North America and awakening the magic lying asleep in the core of our planet. The aliens are largely apologetic, but stranded on Earth due to the collapse of their ship’s engine. Meanwhile, the raw energy (both alien and Earthen) released upon impact runs wild, mutating people... and sometimes giving them superpowers! The powers granted by this impact can run the gamut from standard comic-book-style superpowers, to elemental powers that warp the bodies of their users, to... well, this! I’m still evening out the wrinkles here in terms of how to explain transformations, but Comboverse is my melting pot of ideas, everything is in comboverse.
But anyway, I’ve made this team of gals. They transform in order to defend their home city from magical and occasionally extraterrestrial threats, as well as from other transforming magical girls. I haven’t named all of them yet but I’m working on it...
From left to right in the top image: Tide, Bloom, Heart, Bounce, Mirror. And the bottom image is, of course, the Mirror special.
Tide has the power to control water, as well as perform some limited shapeshifting—in theory she can become anything, but in practice she can save 3 or 4 hotkeyed transformations, and it takes an hour or two of concentrated practice to activate a new form (and deactivate an old one). She’s the team strategist and Calm One.
Bloom has “nature magic,” which I’ve vaguely defined as control of plant life and communicating with animals. She can also heal plants and animals to an extent, but her healing powers don’t extend to humanity, unfortunately. Bloom is the youngest team member, and 10/10 most likely to fight the universe for looking at her funny.
Heart is the team leader and has emotion powers. She’s like Cupid, but with more than just romance—she can enchant people into being really angry or sad or scared or happy, and her abilities get stronger when she’s surrounded by intense emotions. When she runs loose she can build herself a feedback loop of power, though she can only “weaponize” one emotion at a time. I might also give the emotions power buffs a la Princess Peach in that one Mario RPG, but I’m not sure yet, that might be too OP. Heart is self-absorbed on the border of being an Actual Legitimate Narcissist, partially due to the internal reflective focus needed to use her powers well, but she’s pretty self aware and actively tries to not be awful.
Bounce’s power is called “bounce,” the basic idea is that she accumulates kinetic energy in her body and then releases it to jump high, deflect off of things, and deliver extremely powerful hits. She’s a combination tank/DPS, kept in check by the fact that she’s still only a little tougher than a normal human and if she takes too many hits to build up energy she can get seriously hurt. She can also make other objects and surfaces bouncy for a short amount of time. This is her main method of building up the energy she uses to attack. Bounce is the peacemaker of the team, despite being pretty tough and the only one trained in actual non-magical combat. Karate might be the reason she doesn’t act like Bloom.
Mirror has the power of versatility. Her default transformation does nothing but give her a costume and a slightly higher defense stat than mundane humans. But when Mirror interacts with other girls’ powers, her transformation changes. Each unique person whose power she interacts with unlocks a new, different transformation, which can only be triggered by taking a hit from that power. The transformations don’t necessarily have any association with the power that triggers them—some of them are clearly related, but many of them aren’t at all. Mirror is the newest addition to the team, and is generally lacking in ambition despite her best efforts. She doesn’t really know what to do with herself.
Mirror’s main team transformations, pictured left to right:
+Bounce: the power of flight! plus some limited telekinesis, as much weight as she can lift with her own body strength.
+Heart: fire magic! This one’s pretty straightforward.
+Bloom: dirt magic! specifically, manipulation of soil, metal, and crystal, but she only manipulates what already exists. she can’t create it.
+Tide: light and sparkle and fireworks! this form doesn’t have much in terms of damaging moves, but it’s very good for distractions, diversions, and signalling to the rest of the squad.
The main downside to Mirror’s powers is that, well, in order to trigger a real transformation she has to get hit. The team doesn’t have a healer, so they have to be very strategic about how Mirror is deployed. I might change Mirror’s nickname, it doesn’t fit quite right but I can’t come up with anything better yet.
I’m still working on a narrative for these guys, but I like them a lot, and designing them was a lot of fun. I’ve sketched out ideas for five villains to oppose them, each based on being some kind of foil to one of the gals either magically or personally. Heart’s villain turns people to stone, preventing them from 1) being manipulated by Heart’s powers and 2) paying attention to Heart... Tide’s villain is a magical idol singer who cheated her way to fame, which pisses off Tide (who is a gigging musician barely scraping by). Mirror’s villain is the aggressively ambitious dragon to the big bad, who knows exactly what she wants out of life and is going to get it or else.
#taz talks#comboverse#magical girls concept#idk what to tag this as#i may or may not never speak of it again#i just wanted to share what i’ve been up to since i’ve been so MIA

we stan Please Save my Earth!! I always get so happy when i find a fan lol anyways did you read the sequel? i wanted to, like so so much because i've heard good thing about it but the change in the art turn me off, it is so bad?????
Yaaaaay, always good to find PSME fans! : D (This is primarily an Akatsuki no Yona blog, though.) I did read the sequel (Boku wo Tsutsumu Tsuki no Hikari, which takes place 15 years later) and although it has wonky art, I did enjoy it. I’m also four volumes into the sequel to the sequel, Boku wa Chikyuu to Utau, which takes place another 4 years later. My feelings toward both are a little complicated, so I’ll discuss Boku-Tsuki first (and I’ll also answer your other questions behind the cut, since this will get long!):
I love PSME so much that OF COURSE I love having more of it and seeing what the characters are doing when they’re older (though I’m sad that characters like Rin’s mom and Boon never made appearances! Tamura himself only had one scene, haha). It’s a very different story at first, which a fun focus on the children of a few of the old characters (plus some other kids they meet). I liked the kids’ relationships and perspectives a lot, with the PSME lore as background. I was hit and miss with how the old cast wound up, and it inevitably has colored how I look back at them in the original. However, I found the last arc (which spanned a few volumes) pretty… I don’t know. The phrase that comes to mind is a Chinese idiom, “pulling up sprouts to make them grow faster”, which means “spoiling by excessive enthusiasm”. It started to feel like Rin, Alice, Mokuren, and Shion were getting strangled by excessive drama/development. It’s like their characters were no longer allowed room to breathe. And it was during this arc that Hiwatari noticed that it was started to become a different story, which was why she abruptly asked her editor if she could conclude the series and start a new one under a different title. That makes sense, because Boku-Uta takes those changes a lot further. With this one, I feel it’s really overindulging in extra background development, which takes away from the mystique of the original. It’s also…. just weird. Like, Hiwatari writes weird stuff, that’s why she’s so beloved because her stories are so unique. ^_^ I’ve read a lot (but not all) of her other works, and I loooooved stuff like Global Garden because–although the art style was wonky–I’ve never read anything quite like it. Well, except for PSME–it’s funny how it uses so many similar themes but plays them in such a different way.
But with Boku-Uta, it’s like her publishers just stepped out of her way and said “you know what, you have such a fanbase that people will buy it no matter what you write, so go ahead, add more magic cats.”
So, like, I really want to like this one too, but I find it difficult to. I do really like the continued developments of the younger generation which Boku-Tsuki focused on, but other than that, I find it difficult to enjoy. I read Volume 4 around 2am in an airport and just felt angry by the time I finished because some of the new plot twists just felt so stupid. XDSo, in conclusion, yes, Boku-Tsuki has a lot of merits, but it’s going to change your experience of PSME, which is why I can understand why a lot of PSME fans didn’t like it or choose not to read it. Boku-Uta is a natural progression from the ending of that one, so if you choose to read Boku-Tsuki, keep that in mind. But hey, I AM such a big Hiwatari fan that I know I’m going to buy every volume of Boku-Uta anyway. Maybe it’ll redeem itself in my eyes, it still has some interesting elements keeping me going. Okay, on to your other PSME Ask: “sorry, i just found this tumblr so i’m going to ask a lot of PSME questions lol: favorite characters and why?“I love this question. : D Ironically I was just talking with a friend about this the other day since she’s borrowing the manga from me, and I didn’t really know how to answer it. As stated before, my perceptions of the characters has been affected by reading Boku-Tsuki.So like… just because they get the best development, how can I NOT love the Rin-Alice-Shion-Mokuren quatrad?? I keep going back and forth over the years between who of those four is my favorite. While reading the manga for the first time while I was a teen I think I usually leaned more toward Rin and Alice, but now maybe it’s Shion and Mokuren?? I don’t know XDDDAs for OTHER characters, though, part of what I love about it is that there are so many good supporting characters, especially beyond the basic seven kids and their past lives. So here are a few that come to mind to write some thoughts on: Haruhiko: I haaaaaaaated him with a passion as I was reading the manga because he was so whiny and helpless, UNTIL I got to the volume when he confessed everything to Alice, Jinpachi, and Issei, and it was like a switch was flipped and he became one of my favorites because of how much courage he had. You know how he really lightens up and gets comfortable talking with Alice later on? That’s the sort of person he remains in the sequel, which has made me like him even more. He’s mature and mostly at peace with his past, but not totally, and he can recognize that about himself without it taking over. But he’s not totally mature either—you know that scene when he fakes having heart trouble and then gets Alice to stop? And how he makes that “What did you think I was going to do? I’m not Shion!” joke right afterward? That’s the sort of nasty side of his personality that I love too. Looking back at the start of the series now, I see that he was courageous and understanding all along, he just had an extremely weighty situation to deal with. Mikuro: I can never see him the same way again after the sequel (in which he’s a major character). XDD It’s clear that he’s always been a pet OC of Hiwatari’s, but the cool, hard-boiled original character designs for him are nothing like the adult he’s become. He tries so hard to play it cool, but the guy’s a helpless dweeb sometimes. I always found it exciting to learn more about his EPIA life. An extra one-shot (Things Accidently Left Behind, I think it’s called?) gives a lot more backstory for him and introduces more of the EPIA characters, who I enjoy. (Fun fact: Remember his friend Tomoko who was briefly mentioned? She winds up marrying his brother Hokuto. XD Mikuro winds up in a complicated relationship with an American psychic named Pamela, whom I also really like, she’s a hoot.)Mode: I loved her as soon as I met her (and although I’m okay with how she was used in the final arc of the sequel, I sort of wish she could have been left as-is too). She was, through and through, such a good friend, but I like her sense of responsibility as a caretaker too. Lazlo: How can I not love Lazlo!!? The sob story gets played up a little TOO much and I think it was effective as-is in the original (like, we didn’t need to know that he and Kyaa got into the car accident while bringing home a toy for Shion to try to make him smile). In fact, it was Lazlo who made me realize that I have interest in being a foster mother someday. Rin’s Mom: She’s got such a rough job, seriously. She had a break-down, which I don’t blame her for, but I love the courage and understanding she shows after that. She’s the mom who Shion always deserved. Hajime: Always a favorite. XD But I also love that he’s not a huge influence on the story either, his mission has always been to support and take care of Alice, even if that means being critical of her decisions. There are a few extra chapters in Boku-Tsuki discussing Rin & Alice’s early parenting years, and they’re told from Hajime’s POV (he wasn’t exactly happy with the shocking situation), which I really enjoy. Daisuke/Hiiragi: He’s not as big a favorite now (because in some ways he and Jinpachi grew into lame adults XD), but I always liked him and found it funny how despite being the leader, he basically has no influence and is the least important of the seven. XDD It was liking him in a sort of feeling bad for him kind of way. The Lians: Part of what’s so cool about PSME is the development of the Homeworld, and I thought the role of the Lians fleshed out that world really well. Seeing Shion’s different relationships with them (they’re all doing their best, but the older one clearly has more of a way with him) was a nice touch. Plus, I just like and respect nuns in the first place, so that influences my view of them.
Tamura: When I first read/watched it, I didn’t like him much because I thought he was too nosy and I just wanted to focus on the younger cast; the yakuza subplot was a turn-off at first. But looking back on it, Tamura is a such a great and unexpected driver of the plot for a shoujo manga. Nowadays if I rewatch or reread it, you’ll even hear me squeal about seeing Takeshi again. XDDIssei & Sakura: They are such a stinking cute, girly married couple in the sequel, and now it’s hard to ever see them the same way as in the original when I could just appreciate how their deep friendship took shape. If anything I didn’t want them to get married because that felt trite and like a Pair-the-Spares trope and it made it seem like that was the only possible result of a deep friendship between a girl and formal-girl-now-guy-on-purpose-due-to-failed-romance. BUT!! Boku-Uta does provide a nice insight on that, which I appreciate, and which explains why the other three are singletons (being from the Homeworld, they have a different wavelength from regular earthlings, which is why they harmonize well together (as do Rin and Alice), whereas Daisuke, Jinpachi, and Haruhiko can’t find partners to be in the same harmony with). But to back up a bit, Issei’s subplots was one of my favorites in the original. That scene when he “releases” Enju’s soul to go out and love deeply again was so sweet. : DSo like, I pretty much like EVERYONE due to deep attachment for the series, though my thoughts and feelings change over the years. These are just the thoughts coming to mind at the moment. XD

FIRST OFF, my apologies answering this several days late….i’ve been working all week and been too worn-out mentally and physically to respond…SO!! i’m doing it TONIGHT!!
time to ramble about my OCs !!! (under a cut bc There;s a Lot)
So I’ve had this one bunch of characters kciknig around in my head since i was in elementary school, based off of a bunch of character designs i made in LittleBigPlanet (one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE VIDEO GAMES growing up, my best friend owned it and we played together whenever i came over to visit), and eventually grew into their own Characters
They don’t really have a solid universe/story of their own?? I usually just kinda…throw them into the “world” of whatever video game/movie/piece of media I’m currently hyperfixated on and try to imagine how they’d react lmao
Alex started out as a generic self-insert “~Mary Sue~”-type whom I lived vicariously through by imagining her doing all the stuff I thought was “cool” as a kid (I remember at one point she was actually a 700-year-old sorceress w/ a magic obsidian arrowhead necklace and a tiny pet dragon and also ruled over a pocket dimension built from the bones of a giant evil dragon that she defeated in an alternate universe?? fucking wild)
now she’s an autistic lesbian gal (just starting university!) who loves thrift store fashion and magical girl anime and outdated memes, drinks way too much coffee, tries to make friends with almost everyone she meets, and wants to become an animator someday
Buzz is the kinda nervous/skeptical one who ends up getting dragged into Crazy Shit against his will half the time. super sweet and empathetic, the kind of dude who cries over Dove commercials n shit, wants to be a nurse or an actor (he was big into theatre in high school)
(he’s also trans and bi)
RJ is a “I make jokes to cover up how deeply insecure I am” memelord dudebro type who wears a shitty “420″ snapback ~ironically~ and drinks too many energy drinks and responds to everything with “ayyy” and fingerguns
back in my earliest imaginings of him he was kind of a gross egotistical fuckboy who hit on every girl he met and tried too hard to be funny and shit?? but over the years he;s started drinking his Respect Women Juice and is now making an effort to be a genuinely decent person who wholeheartedly supports his friends
(I recently decided he’s bi too bc Why The Fuck Not)
Carly is..easily the weirdest out of all of them dsgdshgfd..I based her design off of my character’s “main” costume in LittleBigPlanet (I really wish I could get a screencap of it/recreate it somehow so you guys could See)
So she’s a fucking. she’s a catgirl. not the “hot anime chick w/ ears and a tail” kind, literally just a humanoid cat. a redheaded (furred?) cat who dresses like a punk and gets high on catnip and WILL kick your goddamn ass if you so much as think abt making a “nya” joke in her presence
i ended up w this running joke where she’s constantly mistaken for the resident nonhuman “species” in whatever universe the four of them are stuck in (for example, in Undertale she’d be a monster, in the FNaF universe they’re convinced she;s one of the animatronics, etc.)
kind of rude n sarcastic, but also the resident Mom Friend who combats Alex & RJ’s stupid impulsive gremlin behavior and Buzz’s Dramatic ass but goddammit she fucking cares about them so much and if anything were to happen to them she’d kill everyone else in the room and then herself
((Also, fun fact: for a while she had a backstory where her ‘other’ childhood friend drowned while ice skating and stuck around as a ghost bc she was tied to Carly via a “best friends forever” necklace, and had a “”long-lost”” sister named Nicole (who was also part-catgirl and a champion boxer who beat the shit out of people)???))
#my ocs#eclectic-spaghetti#asks#ask meme anything#kind of#thiss is really sloppy bc im Tired and also i posted it too early so im retroactively editing#whoopsie

the character creation tag !
thank you @honiewrites for tagging me :)) i’m doing this for ATLAS GRIFFIN from my main wip THE GRAVEYARD HEIR. this is a long post so beware haha
[ i ] what was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.?)
either name or appearance
[ ii ] did you design them with any other characters/OCs from their universe in mind?
i created atlas with his surroundings in mind; mainly the kingdom and land he discovers but also with his allies blythe and malachai
[ iii ] how did you choose their name?
i wanted something related to map-making but also that would relate to his character. atlas was the greek titan who was condemned to holding up the celestial heavens for eternity, and atlas my oc holds a pretty heavy burden on his shoulders once he enters the world of craya.
[ iv ] in developing their backstory, what elements of the world they live in played the most influential parts?
atlas’ backstory takes place in the real world—our world so his isolated childhood and growing up around the funeral/death business were both very influential in his character
[ v ] is there any significance behind their hair colour?
not really, no
[ vi ] is there any significance behind their eye colour?
nope
[ vii ] is there any significance behind their height?
sort of- atlas is 5’9 which is sort of short in his world so it goes to show that height does not equate to mightiness
[ viii ] what (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story?
i always felt alone when i was younger, it didn’t matter how many people i knew in a room or if i shared a conversation with someone, so i relate to atlas in that way
[ ix ] are they based off of you, in some way?
most of my ocs are self-inserts in some way, they all have a little bit of me in them :)
[ x ] did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?
i made atlas with the intent that he would always be asexual, i just didn’t know the term for his sexuality when creating him
[ xi ] what have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: Writing, drawing, edits, etc.)?
i’m not very skilled with drawing or edit/graphic making so i’d say those
[ xii ] how far past the canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story, if at all?
i’ve got some au’s in my head but i haven’t written any of them down besides little jot notes tbh
[ xiii ] if you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be?
he doesn’t have to be witty all the time to be a lovable character
make notes of every personality trait that comes to me while writing
[ xiv ] what is something about your OC that can make you laugh?
how he discovers this other dimension/kingdom— he gets sucked in like a vacuum !!
[ xv ] what is something about your OC can make you cry?
his romantic subplot bc it’s saaaad
[xvi ] is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story?
can’t think of one so,,,, no
[ xvii ] what is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC?
his magical abilities (teleportation and dimension hopping yo!!!) another one of his powers looks like the gif at the beginning of this post!
[ xviii ] what is your favourite fact about your OC?
atlas loves spending time with his siblings: he has two six year old siblings that are twin girls and he has tea parties and dress-up days with them all the time :))
i’m tagging anyone who wants to do this tag!

Spica: Alpha Virginis (pt.3)
Genre: action/adventure, fantasy, angst, romance Warnings: post-apocalyptic Characters: Leo (VIXX), Beth (oc), Lucy (oc) Word count: 2,009 Story type: series (completed)
part 1 / part 2 / part 3 / part 4 / part 5 (final)
(A/N): Reposting my series from AFF onto here!
///
Leo wondered if perhaps he’d been too harsh with Beth, but he couldn’t control his reaction, it was reflexive. His eyebrows furrowed as he burrowed his face in his hands, opting to swallow his pride and apologize to her before the guilt ate him alive. Slowly shutting the door behind him, Leo shuffled over to the couch, only to see Lucy under the towel instead. She’d left her dress folded on the coffee table, his eyes widening as he wondered if he drove her off. Had he scared away is only friend? Perhaps it was for the best, he thought, but he couldn’t will the agonizing pain of loss away.
A slight breeze caught his attention, making him realize the sliding door was left open. On his way over, he noticed her perched once more on the shabby railing, only this time she was facing outward. Leo rubbed his neck awkwardly, clearing his throat to quietly announce his presence, She looked back at him, hopping over the railing back onto the balcony.
“I’m sorry,” they said in unison.
“Wait, why are you sorry? I was the one who acted like an ass,” Leo muttered in slight shock.
“Because I made you uncomfortable, and that was not my intention, Leo. Not in the slightest. I haven’t had someone to talk to since I got myself kicked out, and I was so scared you’d hate me and—” Leo stepped closer, embracing her waist with one arm and wiping the tears she had yet to notice falling with his other hand.
“Taekwoon,” he exhales softly, making Beth second-guess if she was hearing things. “If it makes you feel any better, you can go ahead and call me Taekwoon,” he whispered, staring at the floor. “Because I’d be damned if I lost my only friend too.” Beth almost couldn’t believe it; she knew that with the past he had to be carrying the weight of on his shoulders, this small gesture meant the world. Out of sheer excitement, she hugged Leo by the neck, almost dragging him to the floor with her. “Whoa there, angel,” Leo chuckled, leading her back inside as he shut the rickety door. “You can take the room, I’ll sleep on the couch with Lucy.”
“Oh no, Leo, I couldn’t… You keep the room, it’s fine. Wait, you named her Lucy?”
“I insist.” He felt odd hearing her still refer to him as Leo. Perhaps a small part of him hoped she could accept him and his part, as he had yet been able to do. Or perhaps he was unable to admit to himself that he wanted to hear her angelic voice whisper his birth name. After all, it has been so long since he’d even heard it aloud, maybe he was tired of being “Leo”. He wanted to feel again, to live again, he didn’t just want to survive day in and day out, poker faced. “And yes,” he couched, “I named her Lucy… like Lucifer,” Leo whispered the last bit as Beth snorted loudly.
“You named her after the devil?! Poor baby~” she cooed.
“No, I named her after a fallen angel. Because before I met you today, she was the only friend I had since the last one who died.” Beth stayed quiet for a moment before walking over to Leo, who was leaning on one of the couch’s arms.
“I am so sorry for your loss,” she held his hands in her much smaller ones, feeling genuine sorrow. And for the first time since he’d picked up the alcohol during mourning, Taekwoon let himself cry, burying his face into his elbow. Beth shushed his sobs softly, pulling him to the floor with her this time, bringing him close so his head rested on her shoulder. “It’s ok, I’ve got you Leo, it’ll be ok,” Beth whispered, to which he shook his head. “Taekwoon then, luv?” To which he nodded.
“I-It’s been far too long since I’ve heard that name… since I allowed myself to feel anything other than emptiness,” Taekwoon admitted after he’d calmed down enough to speak. “I missed it, honestly. I’m sorry I snapped at you earlier, I just… I panicked. All these feelings came rushing back and I’d kept them away for so long, it hurt and I didn’t want to feel. But my name, it reminds me of friends, of family,” and his voice cracked. Beth pressed a soft kiss onto his forehead, over his bangs.
“It’s perfectly fine to feel, you know that? And with all you’ve been through, god you’re strong if you’ve survived this long. How many years has it been?” she asked.
“Three, going on four, I believe,” Taekwoon sniffled.
“I’ve been on earth five months and I’d already thought of giving up! How do you do it?" Taekwoon chuckled softly, feeling humbled at her praise, thankful she was trying to cheer him up. Blowing his nose on a dirty towel, unconsciously he huddled closer to Beth as he went on about his family, about Nathaniel and the rebellion, and retelling his life story until he’d fallen asleep in her arms. She smiled, grateful that for the first time in a long time, she was actually able to help someone other than herself out.
Beth regretted neglecting her angel duties, but she was young, dumb and rebellious then. She’d grown a lot in the past five months, but meeting Taekwoon made her realize perhaps they were destined to cross, and perhaps they had a lot to teach one another after all. And with that thought, she fell asleep at his side, exhausted.
Taekwoon awoke with a stiff neck and sore back, but pleasantly warm. He slowly blinked himself awake, realizing the warmth came from the angel beside him. Taekwoon slowly watched her awaken, taking in every detail of her body’s movements with a secretive smile.
“Good morning,” Beth sounded almost as if whining, speaking through her yawn.
“Mornin’ Angel,” Taekwoon replied as he rose and stretched. She said nothing as she took in how all his muscles flexed, quietly enjoying the view. She did, however, raise her brow at his word choice, almost laughing but too tired to actually do so. “I’m going out to catch us breakfast—”
“I’ll go with you! Anyway um, angels don’t really eat. We sleep, to rest and replenish our energy, but that’s about the extent of it. So just worry about yourself and Lucy,” Beth grinned at Lucy’s wagging tail as she crawled over.
“Alright, I guess. But you’re going to need shoes, and some clothes. We can look through the other apartments before we head out.” Taekwoon threw on a jacket, heading out with the girls in search of belongings for Beth. After some trial and error, one apartment’s closet seemed to have clothes that would fit a young woman, to which Beth was more than pleased.
“Ooh what’s this shirt? Guns N’ Roses? Edgy yet cute design, I like whatever this is. You humans are fascinating with your attire and whatnot. Oh, and SHOES! ..are these what you call, ‘boots’?” Beth asked in fascination, taking everything in with childlike wonder. Taekwoon watched with mirth, knowing well they were practically grave robbing while to her this was like a suburban tourist’s first trip to a big-city mall.
Together, she and Taekwoon carried a pile apiece back to his apartment, he’d thrown in some clothes he’d found for himself along the way as well. It deemed much easier to find shoes for Beth than for himself, though most were unusable in their scavenging state, such as heels. He briefly recalled she could fly and felt rather daft, but surely sandals had to be much comfier for her to wear around at home, right?
Home? What was he thinking, that place wasn’t a home, and she didn’t even belong to this world, why should he assume they’re be staying together. With Lucy and Beth, Taekwoon has had begun to feel at home in that dreary apartment, but how long could that last? Shaking his head, he set down their haul, getting ready to hunt, because he was famished.
“Wait a second, um Taekwoon…”
“Yeah, Beth?”
“I’d like to offer you something as a token of my thanks.”
“You really don’t have to do that, you know,” Taekwoon responded, feeling giddy at receiving something from her nonetheless.
“Oh, trust me, you’ll like this.” Beth pulled out a pair of men’s sneakers, perhaps a bit big, but he was immensely grateful, regardless. But before he could even open his mouth, she spread one of her wings, wincing as she plucked one of her feathers.
“Beth, what are you doing?!” Taekwoon took a step towards her, concerned.
“I’m fine, it just feels like a scratch would to you. Besides, it’ll grow back.” She handed him the feather, asking him to close his eyes and trust her. She watched his long lashes flutter shut, licking his lips anxiously. “It is said that a feather from an angel’s wings can grant a wish. However, this is only true if done voluntarily by the angel.”
“Can I use this to see my family?” Taekwoon blurted, almost immediately, his narrow, catlike eyes looking at her with intense passion.
“I can’t teleport you or anything, I don’t have that kind of power,” she said reluctantly.
“But can I use it as a sort of magic mirror? Just to know how they’re doing, please?” The pleading tone of his voice was sincere and loving; Beth felt her heartstrings tug in the truest of ways. Most mortals would have wishes for food, or shelter even, but all he wanted was to see his family one more time.
“Just hold it tight within both of your hands, and close your eyes while you think of your wish. Th feather will turn into something that fulfills your wish.” Beth watched as he closed his eyes once more, the feather transforming into a makeshift mirror of sorts between his hands. She walked over to him to ensure the mirror was working, also wishing to sneak a peek. She’d feared the worst when he begun to shed a few tears, glancing into the projected view. His parents sat at a table, with one of his older sisters in the living room. He’d assumed the other two must have passed away, until one walked in holding a baby boy, the man he presumed to be her husband following suit.
Taekwoon watched until the mirror turned back into a feather, slowly dulling to gray until it was nearly black, no longer any magic running through it. He clutched it to his chest as he let out a breath he wasn’t aware he was even holding while watching his family. “I’m assuming one of my sisters either didn’t make it out, unless she moved out…” he tries to convince himself. “But everyone else is alive and well and… I have a nephew,” Taekwoon exclaims in disbelief, “I’m an uncle! Oh my god I still can’t believe this, I’m so happy right now. Thank you so, so much Beth.” Without realizing it, he’d lifted and spun her around with ease, forgetting about the hells of his own situation, drunk with the knowledge of his family’s well-being.
Beth was marveled at the sight, never having seen him so elated. She knew once she saw him this way that she would do anything to make him feel this way again, though she knew not why? Was it because she liked helping people… or were feelings for this human beginning to blossom? She shook the thoughts away, knowing a human and an angel could only be star-crossed lovers.
Taekwoon, finally setting her down, caught himself just before he was about to lean in and kiss her, awkwardly coughing as he pulled away rapidly. He nearly tripped over himself in his rush to escape, which she watched in confused amusement.
There was a new pep in his step that day as they headed off in search of what could possibly pass for breakfast.

I saw that u like being asked questions about your ocs so I'm giving it a go! Ho many universes do you have set up for all your characters as a whole or do they all exist in the same at once?
Oh, I have several universes set up, each with various characters. For the longest time I would just make random characters without a story or anything so I had a lot of random ones just kinda floating in the ether. XD ; But after a while I started making stories and taking the characters I made and inserting them in, and that sorta worked! Now that I have several stories, I tend to make characters specifically with those universes and the stories in mind, which honestly makes things a lot easier.My oldest surviving universe is the Robo-N one, which is kind of a cartoony, ridiculous futuristic universe. It's mainly intended to be a weird comedy superhero sort of story with some heart thrown in! It's currently on hiatus though since it needs some work, but I still wanna do something with it someday. Characters include the titular Robo-N, a cybrog girl who wants to save people from various monsters and baddies but ends up delivering pizza instead most of the time, a malfunctioning android named Chester, and R.Bunny, a genius bunny who changes color and wears a tie (and is often stuck having to repair Chester, much to his aggravation). Then there's the Kilroy universe, obviously- I actually repurposed a lot of earlier characters for that one, like Trevor, Spencer, and ST1X, and... well, Kilroy himself! Originally he was an incidental character if anything that got killed off before the beginning of the original story idea he was in, but I ended up liking him too much. XD ; I could go into detail about that if you want but I might save that for another post cuz I don't wanna go too off-topic. Anyway yes this universe is a bit more grounded than the Robo-N one. It's kind of retro-futuristic, with lots of elements from different time periods. It takes place in a world that used to be more of a fantasy world a long, long time ago but the magic had largely faded since then, replaced mostly with technology. While the people generally don't believe magic is a thing anymore, it still exists- it's just a pretty rare thing to come across. And finally, the other big one I have going on is A Tutorial for You and Me, my visual novel that I'm working on! It's sort of a surreal universe with all sorts of creatures and is basically the weirdness of Robo-N dialed up to 11. Everything works on an internal RPG sort of logic since the whole thing takes place in a broken game with missing characters and inaffective controls. Basically, this is my one universe thats kind of an excuse for me to make all sorts of out there character designs and still have them fit. XD ; But yeah, this is the story that Note belongs to! Since you're unable to complete his tutorial for the game, you two are basically stuck together and have to go on an adventure through the rest of the game to see if there's a way to fix it. So yeah, genre-wise its kind of a goofy adventure/mystery. I hope that sums it up pretty well! I admit I've made AUs of my own stories too but if I talked about all those we'd probably be here all day. XD ;;

@writing-prompt-s Instagram post and I couldn’t find if it was posted here and there are too many characters on Instagram and honestly as shitty as my writing is, It is more worth posting on this blog. I was debating putting it on my other blog but If I want a separate posting for my art then it has to extend to all of it right? If I build a chair I’ll also let you know lmao.
More interactions from the in-between of the Lost Century ark with my Woodworking OC. I did not mean for this to be fanfiction for The Adventure Zone but here it is. This is also my first time writing about an ace character, and not being ace myself I am open for any criticism on this.
This is tied to my belief that we have many soulmates, not just lovers but plutonic soulmates as well.
S/O To Grammarly for mostly having my back. Please enjoy!
You had not thought about the birthmarks for years. Halfway through your schooling, you had come into being asexual. Partly because of extreme disinterest in what you had come to know as sex and partly due to the sheer anger you received from partners, male or female or otherwise. No one had even been named these names before. At least not where you were from.
You admit to yourself that having the birthmarks be black was unusual, and the clear lettering hard to dismiss. For all you knew, perhaps your parents tattooed you as a newborn…
Regardless, it was a non-issue and allowed you to build more trusting relationships with friends who overlooked the anomaly and to work on your woodworking on your off time. This allowed you to become well known in the area as you were quick, dependable and rather cheap, normally only asking for the cost of supplies back for clients who could not afford a lot, like older retired folks, single mothers, and schools.
This lead to work in homes to design trim and counters and so forth. Then finally to your own shop, with a few apprentices working under you.
The two names had not come up much at all until… “Lup, I love you dearly but if you keep carrying around that Umbra Staff I am going to have to break it in half one of these days” you hear a feminine laugh from the other person as you see two tall similar looking elves, perhaps twins, walk in. Your heart beats fast looking at the two as the one called Lup speaks up “You’ll have to pry it from my cold dead hands Taako my dear” you can’t help but yelp, as you learn both of their names, quickly diving below your elegantly crafted countertop. After a moment you look above you to see the two hovering over you and you faint.
When you come too you see that the one called Lup is holding a cool cloth on your forehead. “I-I’m sorry!!!” you shout as you sit up quickly causing her to drop the rag. She laughs and shakes her head “No it’s alright. I am confused about why you fainted bu-” you interrupt her “Y-you…. Your name is on my back!” you quickly scramble to quickly take your shirt off as Lup calls out Taako. He comes rushing back in but quickly turns around “Oh my Pan! Lup what is she doing!” before either of them can speak again you hold the shirt on your front and flash them your back. “I… I don’t know what it means but… You’ve been on my back since I was born." You jump slightly feeling a hand grace your back, only twitching slightly when you feel a warmer one touch your back moments later.
"Miss... May I cast something on you?" You hear Taako say behind you. You nodded lightly burring your head into your shirt to hide your embarrassment feeling than a bit of electricity around your birthmarks.
"I sense some arcane energy but hardly something that was done recently. I can't figure out what spell was used to make this. Did you say since birth?"
"Y-yes. At least this is what my parents have said. Honestly... I've never known anyone with your names before so... I was unsure if it actually meant anything"
You could feel the two staring at each other and then back to you for a few moments, every one feeling like it was taking a lifetime. Finally, Lup spoke up.
"This is fucked like I am super spooked. One of the villagers told us to see you and now I know why she was being such a nut about it at least."
Taako laughs "I know right? Listen, half naked... Person... Please put that shirt back on and me and Lup will be out in your main area to speak with you once you have chilled for a moment."
That day you spoke with them for a while, taking an order to help them make some things for the ship, one of their big friends called Magnus came in and eyeballed some of your smaller crafts, eventually buying a small bird. You think he called it a duck? Perhaps this is what they called it where the strangers came from.
Over the next few months as midsummer had passed you grew close with the crew, doing some odds and ends for them and letting them know where the best places to go was. They eventually confided in you that they were trying to stop the world from ending. You chuckled it off but saw how serious they were. Eventually, you were going back to see Lup every day. and if you couldn't come Lup would come find you, often lazing around you as you did some carvings. You had never felt so close to a person, not even your friends or your family.
It happened one day. You were working on something for Lup as she had admitted that their one year was coming to an end and she mentioned not normally being able to stay for a year. You decided to craft her a case for her Umbra Staff that she had. You remembered she had mentioned it being out in the open and not having a designated area for it.
With that finished and the last of the Magical Varnish, you had used to stain the wood a pinkish purple you ran it back to the Starblaster. suddenly, the world started to look gray and a chill ran through the air.
You recalled this is what the crew had warned you about. Your heart skipped as you ran faster to get to your friend. If it was truly the end you wanted to make sure that she got her gift.
While running you notice the sky grew black and what seemed like black goo dripping from the sky. Eventually, you made it the crew finishing up packing and you saw Lup with Taako. You waved to them both, Lup running to you Nervously "H-hey, this isn't a good time you need to get to shelter, we found the light but It is still-"
Between panting you push the crafted box into her hands. "I-if I am never going to see you again... I wanted you to have this... I... made it..." You closed your eyes and tilted your head down. Lup inspecting the box gently, chuckling at the joke written inside of the top part.
"Y-you really didn't have to do this." she paused "This never gets easier.... Hold on." Lup ran over to Lucretia and handed her the box nodding and coming back to you. "Taako, you want to back me up. We should have time to get this idiot back to shelter" She says with a laugh patting your shoulder. You smile warmly at her and Taako gives you a thumbs up "Also-fucking-tautly, she crafted me this bitchen enchanted wooden knife set last week and well we want to make sure as little of you is dead as possible."
All three of you start running back downhill to your shop, you see in the distance some of the black of the sky touching down near your home and you look back at Lup and Taako who make nervous glances at each other. You see your students run out with a hatchet and a saw, it seems like they were working before they ran out to see the commotion. Suddenly one is struck by a beast that crawled out of the blackness and you see him lay on the ground. You scream out as you get closer, ramming your body full force into the second one about to hit your other student. He shambles back.
"Get your sister! Go get back in the cabin Boy" He obliges and picks up the younger girl as best as he could before running and shutting the door. Lup and Taako have taken care of some of the monsters, but more keep coming. To protect your own land you grab the hatchet your apprentice was using and start hacking into the monsters.
You seem to be making a dent and you turn around to tell Lup and Taako to just go, to get back in your ship when-
"Abrica-FUCK YOU" One of the monsters steps away from you, completely missed by Taakos Magic Missile... Which then lands in the middle of your chest.
Time stops, your heart beats and you see his face contort, he sees the mistake too late and this is your only comfort at this moment. You then fall sharply back onto the ground, Lup cries out and rushes over "I'm all out of Magic slots, Taako do you have anything? Please stay with us, you were so close." Lup takes you into her lap and fans your face, embracing you trying to keep the monsters at bay.
Taako, in shock, whispers "That... That was my last spell Lup." he quickly checks his pockets and the curses under his breath before also coming to kneel beside you. You feel your vision fading and your heavy breathing. "Are... My students ok?"
Lup nods teas now rolling down her cheeks. You blink a few times. "You need to get back to the ship..." She shushes you and Taako speaks "Don't worry about it, we will be pulled back with it soon. Listen, I am so so-" You lift your hand up to his face, interrupting him "T-Taako, please... Don't let this eat you up. I don't hold any grudges. I am just glad... I got to say goodbye. To both of you."
You feel a hand in yours and it squeezes tightly, Lup gently embracing you as you shiver.
You open your mouth and take a breath to say something, only to slip into unconsciousness while your friends turning into streams of light and disappear until all you see is darkness.

was trying to think of a way to divide up ocs on toyhouse so i don’t get too embarrassed about them yesterday but then it turned into just trying to list like every character i’ve ever made the vast majority of them i’d never put on toyhouse lol. but this was fun for myself even though i definitely forgot chracters and even whole stories from when i was younger
kinda old (definitely need updating they’re from when i was 17/18 and haven’t done much in recent years but nonetheless are my most recent ocs and i would probably like to do something with them someday still):
all the alienated characters - raul and michael primarily, also side characters like their relatives (lennie, joaquin, marcell, maybe also shinsuke, natalia, nina, naomi, hana, leela, etc) and friends (still need to name them lol) etc
justicia (less set on doing her story any time soon compared to alienated, but still theres something to it i might want to work with someday)
pretty old (like i was 16-17)
gf debate characters (this is actually older than a lot of the ones i list as even older in this list but i kept working on them til i was like 17 so they hold up better even if i don’t want to finish making their story anymore) - isaac, micah (micah is literally kinda from when i was 12 lol but i brought her to like 3 different stories and she was a boy in the first one too so shes basically not that character anymore), and then side characters like mirabel (originated in same story at 12 as micah), ayçin, anna, micahs mom and her wife, micahs cousin (another one from that old story) etc
those ocs that literally none of them have names or barely personalities i only ever did character sketches and basic concepts but its like a ghost story thing i was gonna do - 12 y/o baby butch protag, the ghost girl, baby butch’s trans girl cousin, cousins trans guy friend
really old (characters from when i was like 14-15 that did not really develop much from there. most of these are characters i have had fun with and maybe drawn since but are goofy and don’t hold up in a lot of aspects and most of them i’ll probably never pick up for stories again)
football lesbians - monica, wanda, and rania
pigeon magical girls (technically maybe i actually finished a very abbreviated version of their origin story for a school art project when i was 15 lol but i planned to do more back then and now i dont want to) - zehra, ronni, the pigeon, probably not amy and zoë that was just a cameo for myself of ocs from when i was like 11 lol
naomi’s story (this one i might actually want to do something with someday, i wrote a short story about it plus a bit more, but i have to make some serious changes i don’t really think i thought of some of the implications of some stuff in it before) - just naomi and the ghost basically. not to be confused with naomi in alienated who is michael’s sister they are not at all the same person
assorted characters that never really had a story - mels and cvijeta, charlotte (thought about putting her in football lesbians. she does basketball but. jock wlw you know)
really really old (characters from late middle school, like 13-14)
uhhh that wizards story. it never had a name idk. i still kinda like them though tbh even if i’ll never do anything with them anymore - tess, ali, nataline, brandy, mo, remora, cnidarian
really really really old (characters from the middle of middle school, like 12-13. at this point my recollection of what came before what might be kinda off tho)
that fae folk in pennsylvania and ohio story - emilia, ilana, micah (first version! lol), mirabel, that boy that i just hate and don’t remember the name of and resent making a character that had a crush on micah, micahs cousin, darling/angel (a faerie that just went by terms of endearment as if they were names), uhhh the second group of characters in a different more rural town i tried to write that i dont remember the names of
haunted victorian house story - benji, aisha, elizabeth
updated onex arget (fantasy world i wrote about a lot when i was in elementary school) story - nai, rieae
idk this story never had a name and barely a plot beyond ivy and victor becoming friends and venting to each other - victor, ivy, miles, maitê
forks and spoons (story i improvised with my little cousin who was like 8 at the time lol) - florimundi(?), i’m forgetting literally all 3 of the other characters names lol (maybe reese and victor for two of them??? but maybe not bc those are also other very old characters that idk if i reused the names of)
theo and ted - theoni and theodore (aka theo and ted!), oh also that guy they meet who wears like. a trench coat iirc
super old (characters from the later half of the 6th grade and early 7th, like 12ish)
really dumb story about a closeted trans person with did getting transformation powers - i actually dont remember the main character and their main other alters names anymore, i remember the other character they had a crush on stephan though
all those characters in bands that i never actually could settle on a story for beyond a variety of interpersonal drama. very inspired by the webcomic jenny hanniver tbh - avery, mark, etti, adrian, xavier, pepper, uhhh theres literally So Many more of them and also so many i dont remember the names of anymore but just for some that come to mind. that periwinkle colored hair in a bowl cut character that always wore a beanie who was in avery’s band whos names on the tip of my tongue (maybe that was etti and the character i’m calling etti was called something else?? maybe victoria? maybe andy? maybe andy was an entirely different 3rd character?? idk. actually yeah i’m positive bowlcut character was etti rereading this), xaviers ex-boyfriend who was obsessed with homestuck (lmao), that guy with red hair i accidentally directly ripped off the design of some jenny hanniver character, that goth guy with braces and glasses (maybe he wasnt in this?), that screamo band with 2 lead singers, that guy with brown hair that said he was straight with an exception (msfdkjghhsfd god), that person with the emo haircut in flame colors, this literally is not even all the characters lol
extremely old (largely from 6th grade, like age 11ish. weird period of time where i suddenly wanted to write about romance but thought it had to be straight but then very quickly was like ‘wait actually nvm i have a laptop now and think i’m bicurious i’m only gonna write about gay people)
gsa story (this might have been the summer before 7th actually but it feels distinctly before the other stuff in the last category so idk maybe just my whole impression of when i made things for middle school is off) - emmy(?), allie(?), noah(???), some other kid, i think noah(?) or the other kid got reused to be the guy i regretted making a part of that faerie story who liked old micah lol, maybe more kids, their teacher
idk that kid with blue hair and black eyes with white irises and his sister
middle school lesbians - leah and cass
lesbian who works in food service and there were weird references to comic books but filtered through me referencing an obscure emo humor youtube channel that made jokes about comics i’d never read - amy, zoë, amy’s straight best friend i dont remember the name of??
tosca (this wasnt straight romance but it was like the last thing pre me always having lgbt main characters) - idk. there were two characters i drew like once. theres nothing to note about this except wanting to make it is what made me learn about webcomics
that story i posted the first chapter of on quibblo about a hippie girl (somehow in 2010?? dont ask me) and an emo boy liking each other before abandoning to never write about cishet romance again. didnt even get to the romance part lol - i forget her name. maybe it was april? maybe it was florimundi and i reused it later for another character, nix, reese (her goth lesbian best friend. thank god for reese)
first attempt at straight romance. also about like. idk. fantastical powers in clouds in providence rhode island - selia, shay, cassandra, selias other friend i forget the name of??
ancient (literally elementary school ocs. obviously theres a lot of grades covered here but its just my memory and ability to reference this is so loose idk if i could even try to accurately divide it further)
shadow magic - mezzaluna, her aunt tabby(?), alexa
a, j, & j (barely counts i didnt do anything with them. those are the only characters also)
arine (some of these characters might not be arine characters and just from other onex arget (fantasy world i wrote a bunch of stories in and made a shitty conlang for and stuff) stories but i just dont really remember) - lia, lias sister, dibujurm, that other fantastical creature who was friends with dibujurm i forget the name of that kinda looked like calcifer from howls moving castle but fuzzy not an actual fire (maybe isigo??), emiaelaesa, that obnoxious prince (i think the story was called arine bc that was his name?), the prince’s servant, there absolutely were more
the musical adventures of shiri and don - shiri, don, some evil villain and his henchmen
rosington (there were like no characters besides her. weird junie b jones rip off with nonsensical humor to everyone but me)
that tree prophecy story (maybe set in onex arget?) - nico, emi (?? maybe not her name), their uncle (i forget his name, maybe lester?), their uncles shipmates, that fortune teller
idk some kid that goes on a scavenger hunt to solve a mystery on vacation in like bermuda or something where he meets some quirky girl character who helps him. thats all
i had some characters that started out as me trying to draw characters from the book hoot by carl hiaasen but for some reason then turned into my own ocs and looked nothing like those characters were described and also basically had nothing to do with them in personality and action beyond name after a while. - beatrice and napoleon. this was in a phase where i got a ‘how to draw anime’ book and napoleon straight up looked like a yugioh character his hair was ridiculous
those fake siblings i made up and lied to a substitute teacher in kindergarten about me having 6 siblings because of for absolutely no reason even though i only have one sibling irl
imaginary friends i shared with my brother and then made stories about - theres so many of these, the most important though was chick-chick-chick. who was a very small chick who wore a top hat. and then he had a family(?) of infinitely smaller chicks (chick-chick-chick-chick, for example) the more “chicks” you added to the name

what are the stories/projects you work on or involved with?
EDIT 2019: FOR AN UPDATED LIST, GO HERE!
Oh gosh, it’s been a bit since I did a rundown of them… (I need to update my project lists tbh… ugh..) I’ve been working really hard on consolidating my characters and stories these last few years so I’m rightfully proud of my progress.. Even if no one can tell yet but me!! >8//);
Despite how many we have, only a few of them I seriously want to bring to completion and/or publish first and foremost. The rest are really just for fun until I/we feel like they could become something bigger. Also, Dye has involvement in most of my stories whether it be a full collab or just helping!
It’s a long post… so, BELOW THE CUT WE GO!
Collaborations
(with @dyemelikeasunset)
Ocean of Cycles: Our 4th Collab- Dye’s world-building project that I have the honor of helping flesh out. While we have our OCs and want to make it RPG ready for others to play in for fun, and we think making a book of the completed world-building someday would be fukken awesome, it’s largely a stress relief and creative outlet for Dye and I, so we’re not in a rush nor can Dye’s schedule allow for full-time work on it. Like Dye, I would like to do mini-comics about their adventures myself as well!!
Picture This Imagine That: (sorry this art is 4yrs old… T//w//T) Our third collaboration; Started small but became our means of reconciling our identities and coming out. After we came out some years ago, we put this one down to handle real life stuff and grow up a bit- but we do still fully intend to draw and publish their stories, we just took it offline and pulled back to a much more relaxed pace until it’s actually ready.
Solaris: Our second collaboration. Originally an Avatar: The Last Airbender fanstory, transplanted into an original universe. I’d really love to bring this one to life as a comic, but the plot hasn’t been finished yet! We love this one to bits though and I’d consider it a likely choice down the road sometime.
White|Outlines: Technically our first collaboration, a soft slice of life about troubled supernatural teenagers. My branch in the same universe/highschool as Dye’s SalaDays story (No, the SD cast doesn’t really interact with mine) I made this because Dye used to have the world open for RP, but we’ve long since closed it off. (That’s more geared toward OoC now) I don’t really have plans for pursuing this one outside of for fun!
Unlucky: A fun slice-of-life meets shounen kind of story set in a tightly knit chinatown. Dye helped create the bulk of this verse for a lot of homeless/floating OCS, like Quinn and Airi from my old beckoning cat magical girls team, Jake and Evelyn from anirangers, Tyberius and Farah from wwp’s “D’Amatos” godfather-parody show… stuff like that. It’s a bit more on the world-building side right now but I hope to draw things for it soon.
I also play around in or help with some of Dye’s more solo works like Kingdoms or Romaine Hearts, as well as a few offline projects that aren’t super involved/developed yet.
Magical Girls:
(yes it gets its own section)
Forecasters: My lovebaby of a story, featuring weather magical girls. My only active personal project that I want to make into a full blown webcomic right now. It’s 99.7% offline atm, I started this in 2013 after we put down PT. There’s still a lot to do, but I’m really excited about this one. It’s like my self-imposed college final project and/or legitimate story pitch I guess? I wanna post promo art for it so bad but I want at least the first two chapters drawn before that so bear with me…
Starless: Alien powered magical girls. Created from old (2008) tokyo mew mew OCs! The story’s been a bit ambiguous lately but I am very fond of this one and would consider it one I’d like to complete/draw for someday if the plot lets me WRITE IT lmao. Dye is helping me by adopting some of the characters!
Minor MG Stories: (click the link in the last bullet to see pics of these)
“Book Keepers”: Literature theme college magical girls, collabed with Dye. Currently just a loose idea with really fun fleshed out OCs, but not a super high priority.
“Candyland”: NEW! Candy themed magical girls. A tentative title for a bunch of OCs I’ll be posting soon enough so I guess I’ll add them now. Some of them are old af, some are super new. They’re just an early concept and a bit of a style-experiment.
Cheers!: Drink-themed magical girls. A very old team I don’t really plan on doing anything with right now, just currently trying to redesign them to my liking.. -stares holes into them- LET ME LOVE YOU
Cosmic Club! another design prompt with no story.. YET…. I love them and they seem v popular so it’s possible! We’ll see how it goes.
Even more magical girls over here in this list but are all in a similar ‘concepts only at this time’ status (Lucky is on this list but is no longer a magical girl series)
My Projects:
Shards of Moon: A fateful fantasy epic about birds and songs. Formerly Anathema, the first fully fleshed out “serious” story I wrote… It was terrible! It was merged with another story that had no characters, so all my oldest OCs live here now. I’m very very fond of this one but I’m letting it percolate very slowly. It’s a far off goal for now, but it is shaping up to be a story I’d like to tell.
Sleep Tight: About a little girl and her boogeyman and conquering fear. The second story I wrote in high school. This one needs… a lot of rework and a bit of gutting- I haven’t decided the direction I wanna take it yet, but I don’t mind waiting. (I mean, look at what happened to Shards of Moon- I was so sure I’d trash that whole story and its characters.)
Superglue: I have like NO new art for this one yet lmao.. Young superheroes dealing with past actions they ran away from. A third high-school story that has changed so dramatically it’s not even remotely similar to its first version. It’s basically a baby story with old re-homed OCs in it because I felt sorry for them. ;w;;; I don’t know how far this one will take off yet but yeah
Others:
I’m gonna get ta’ play in @caiterprince’s universes with Dye too, including the WIP Magical Girl Academy as a means to flesh out more magical girl designs (Eden is the most familiar, but I’ll have more soon), and a few cameos in Plainer in Hindsight and Weaver’s Debt eventually
Fancharacters like my SU gemsonas, my ponies, and my Tokyo Mew Mew OCs are purely for fun. If I want to write an original story about the characters (which has happened, see Solaris and Starless) I’d transplant them first.
I have a few other concepts laying around- placeholders like “fairyverse” or “spacewitchverse” where I throw similar-theme homeless OCs but don’t have a single story idea for, it’s just.. there. for now. So I won’t bother going over those.
AUs (like elf gfs Band AU) don’t really count as separate unless they become canon. (i.e. what happened with Solaris)
If anyone’s really curious on the development of my worlds and ocs, I honestly highly taking a peek through my sketchdump folder on my DA. (start at the bottom, its infinite scroll) You can find pretty much everything I’ve ever conceptualized in these. I started to sort dumps by story- there’s actually quite a bit of storytelling / oc growth nestled in there if you’re into that sorta info-binging. I-I think it’s kinda fun tbh…. I do apologize in advance for any slurs or problematic wording you may find in the oldest dumps, I’ve been cleaning it over the years but might’ve missed something.
That’s about it for now! (-sweats violently- no more pls i have… too many children.. -wheezes and lays down-)
