first of all damn. like damn. they really did it. those crazy sons of bitches did it. they ended this beloved show in a way that was cathartic, happy, full of tension, and did all the characters justice. my faith in star wars has been restored. i am so happy

In the begging, everything was a little bit awkward. Sweet, but awkward. Of course, that is to be expected when someone first starts dating, and three people at that! But alas, you all worked through all of the nervousness and became even closer than before!

Sometimes, being in a relationship with three people can be a bit chaotic, but luckily, you’re all masters of talking things out. Trust is one of the most important things in a relationship you know!

Luz and Amity has sort of a “sun and moon” thing going on, with you being their eclipse to balance it all out. Perfect relationship in every way!

When it comes to comfort, these girls are the best! First of all, they are both such good listeners and they give the best advice when you need it. Although, sometimes people don’t really want advice or logic when their feeling blue, and in that case, you’re girlfriends are ready with as much cuddles and words of affirmation as you need! Supportive gfs <3

Speaking of cuddles, Luz and Amity both give such good hugs, their heavenly fr. Even though Amity can sometimes be a bit awkward about it (her body just goes stiff as a board), it’s always so wholesome and sweet. Usually, Luz is the big spoon with either you or Amity in the middle, or you guys are all just huddled up in one big messy pile. Eda and King always finds it so adorable whenever you guys fall asleep together on the couch, and you can trust that they take a bunch of pictures too.

Amity often gets really flustered around you and Luz, which usually results in a lot of teasing. Her tomato face can just be too cute sometimes, and trust me, you get to se it A LOT!

Now, when it comes to the rest of the gang, they all support you guys so much! They think it’s so cool that you guys have a relationship, and even though they tease you about it from time to time (especially Eda, while Hunter mostly gets annoyed from all your lovey dovey stuff), they truly think that what you guys have is the sweetest thing ever. Oh and Hooty is your biggest fangirl, I’m not even joking.

Luz and Amity can be protective AF! Don’t get me wrong, they don’t really go around and get jealous of everything and stuff, but if anyone, witch or human, says anything to upset their girl, they’re really gonna get it.

Kisses with these two are usually fast and sweet.

Luz normally just goes in for a quick peck before turning away with pink tinted cheeks and a small smile, acting like nothing happened.

Amity on the other hand looks at you a bit before slowly leaning in. Afterward, she quickly retrieves, face completely burning up and her eyes as wide as plates. (Sort of like when she kissed Luz’s cheek in that one episode)

When you got sent to the human realm, it was a hard time for everyone, but with the love and support from each other, you all managed to make the best of it and have a wonderful time together.

Camilla absolutely loves you and Amity so much, she is such a sweetheart!!

After some quality time spent in the human realm, you and the others, along with Camilla, finally managed to return to the Boiling Isles. And as we all know, even more challenges were lying ahead.

When things seemed dark, you, Luz and Amity always stuck together, and supported each other the whole way, never ever letting you or each other feel like they were alone in this.

In the end, you all helped each other so much with developing as a person! With all of the love and encouragement, everything turned out just fine, and these girls couldn’t be happier! Ever since this whole crazy adventure started, you’ve all gotten so much closer together, and really formed a special bond. To be able to be in a relationship with you like this is the best things to have happened to either Luz or Amity, and they never want to let that go in the hopes to someday be able to put a ring on it.

ahh this is such a hard question 😭 the gaming channel is my ultimate comfort content I have a legitimate problem where I don’t watch any of the tv shows or movies I want to watch I just rewatch dnpgames videos I’ve already seen 20 times and I could list like 50 different videos all with their own reasons BUT I will force myself to choose for the question (I’m going to do one from pre hiatus content though and one from after bc those are two entirely different eras/lifetimes to me I think it’s only fair)

-dan lost his voice so we’re playing charades: just an s tier video if we’re being fr, first of all dan losing his voice is just what makes this video bc it adds an element that’s not in other gaming videos, the silliness of it all 🙌 dan continuing to yell at phil with his voice half gone, phil being king of comedy once again with his guesses (boob king)

-also the first fnaf video will forever be a favourite, I started watching them earlier that year bc of a friend that showed them to be and was obsessed with fnaf and the sound that the coffee mug made when it spilled is just one of those dnp things I can hear in my head it’s all very nostalgic

me and lions objectively correct mystreet character ranking (not clickbait fr fr)

So let me explain the ranks here a bit and why characters are in certain places:

S Tier: Characters that have a solid foundation or general character arcs that both me and Lion liked they’re story and character was enjoyable from beginning to end.

Lucinda is the only S tier character because she managed to remained both consistent character throughout the show. And while she doesn’t have a general arc that really doesn’t make her character any less likable. She’s just a silly little guy that activates the neurons.

A Tier: characters that we found really strong and compelling but have one really big glaring issue from putting them in S.

Rowan is here simply because he was really enjoyable, a genuine healthy father figure, and was just super cool to watch. His problem: lack of screen time.

Zianna has the same problem as Rowan her importance to the plot overall is also a factor.

Zane and Kc have the problems of both certain parts of there stories leaving us feeling icky. Like Zane becoming an over protective incel that sees aph as an object, or KC’s shipping shrine and canonically being a stalker.

B Tier are characters that we liked but just simply couldn’t peek are interest character wise due to one reason or another.

I’m gonna try and speed run the rest of these so:

Garroth: same problem with Zane but worse his obsession with aph even with or without the inclusion of mcd feels unearned and generally problematic. He’s goofy though and has a solid character arc with his brother

Eric and Terry: goofy and likable but nothing much outside of that also besides Rowan they are the only good parental figures in the show. (Eric is higher because he has more screen time)

Daniel: he’s voiced by ross has an interesting character concept, he’s the only werewolf character that didn’t frustrate me personally at some point. He’s just not all that important.

vlyad teony and GF captain: all interesting characters that weren’t in the show enough.

blaze: making in here on charm and charisma alone. (Also because our friend June fell in love with him, you can imagine his reaction to season 6.)

Brandon: mainly here because Lion said so.

C tier is mostly for the meh characters that we didn’t feel super strongly about for the most part.

Travis: didn’t have a decent enough character or story to really make us care in anyway. While pm seymour gave it their all it wasn’t really enough to keep us engaged.

Laurence: he has like one or two really good moments. And some laughs. Didn’t keep me or him engaged, especially after he just vanished.

from Ivy to kai: all these characters have really likable personalities and stories but they all generally had the one thing in common where they just weren’t in the show enough or there character took a direction we agreed wasn’t all that good or interesting.

Ivan: he serves his purpose as a one off villain. That’s all.

White haired girl: she just exist for a bump in the road in Aarmau.

Aphmau: none of her arcs are interesting, her personality isn’t consistent and when Jess does stick to a personality for her it’s generally not that likable.

D Tier: where hitting characters that both of us generally felt were lacking or straight up didn’t like.

Sylvanna: this may shock some of you but I’m going to be brutally honest, half of the reason y’all like her is because you HC her as being overprotective because Aaron is a groomer. Now let me be clear that’s not a problem, however that doesn’t change the fact in the actual show, it’s written more like an emotional incest situation. If Aaron being a groomer was “played straight” as it were she’d be much higher. But the canon reason of her overprotective (at least the reason were given initially) is that Aaron does a better job at taking care of Aph. It’s not because she actually fears Aph is in danger as we come to learn. It leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Nicole: didn’t like that Dante was the one punished for their break up. They even mention later that she was being unreasonable. But Dante was at fault don’t get me wrong. But she also wasn’t in the show a hole lot and from what we see of her, just didn’t stick out to us.

Michi: plot device in character form, she could’ve been so much better if her character wasn’t watered down to “Aarmau Speed Bump”

From Kacey to Nekoette: all characters that felt shoved in for plot purposes and didn’t have enough personality to make up for it. They all range of for being added for stupid reasons like another conflict or fan-service. Some of these are even combinations of those reasons plus they just have some really unlikable moments that rubbed us the wrong way or even worse did not help the plot at all by being there.

Katelyn: I’ve made it extremely clear I don’t like this character and she’s at the very bottom because I believe her offenses are worse than most characters before but don’t deserve hell tier. She technically “works through” her fantasy racism and other problems just not in a compelling or even satisfying way. Even her reasons just didn’t justify her actions for us.

HELL: characters that did morally deplorable things therefore we did not like them on principal. ONTOP of being poorly written because in this series they go hand in hand.

Rachel gaslit her son and told Melissa to get Aaron home by any means necessary and that was implied to be the blackmail Melissa got from Michi. She generally invaded his privacy and almost ruined her son and an innocent girls relationship because of toxic traditional family values. (I believe she would’ve done this with or without the ultima curse, remember, that all what I just wrote was something written before that was even conceived.) and then does a 180 when season 5 hits. We all laughed and played crab rave when she was publicly executed.

Elizabeth abandoned her kids don’t care if that part wasn’t her fault because she was sealed away because again that was written before season 4-5 (we also see Zack abandoning his kid so like it’s implied she did it before she was sealed away anyway.) Also allowed a literal demon to do experiment a on her daughter. She doesn’t get any satisfying conclusion to her villain arc and she’s part of the post credit cliffhanger.

Zack cheated on his wife and abandoned his child after experimenting on her and was Michaels right hand only to grow a conscious after the literal child abuser tells him to produce a spine. Was not in the show enough to be a “I love to hate” kinda character.

Garte and Derek are both on the list for basically the same reason neither of there characters end in a satisfying way. Dereks just worse because he directly abused Aaron verbally.

Emmalyn is here because me and Lion took her as a stand in for ghost sense they are the same character. And she SA’s Zane. Ghost also confuses the plot heavily. And made the story so hard to follow in season 6. She actively makes both the story worse both inside and out.

Ein stalked and mind controlled multiple characters and was both indirectly and directly responsible for multiple innocent peoples deaths. There’s more you could say about him but he’s just not a compelling villain. His plans are not his own, the plans he does come up with only work by chance. He’s basically if you took Michi and cranked her up to 11.

Micheal is a really bad uncompelling villain outside of MCD besides killing people and world domination or whatever. He does nothing interesting with the time he’s given.

Balto and Aaron are both different flavors of pedos. Balto tries ask aph to prom, like even if bruh was just doing it for power; what the fuck. Even if was compelling he wouldn’t be any higher.

Gene is also a pedophile and gets Ein to take pictures of her when he graduates college, which is a shame because he actually does have a compelling story but because of how problematic his flaw is we couldn’t rank him any higher.

Aaron has been talked to death about so I won’t repeat what’s been said a hundred times over. But pedophillia, mass genocide, and a general inconsistent characterization is everyone’s main problem.

Ace: Our friend Ace was in call with us, we gave her one chance to save a character from a lower tier.

Melissa: originally in hell tier for enabling her parents and taking black mail from Michi, and just not having a spine when it came to the abuse of Aaron and that part of her character being sweated under the rug as she hardly had any consequences for gaslighting him. Even going so far to say they’ve changed and have gotten better when they clearly had not. Emotionally manipulating him at almost any chance she had. The reason why she rescued her and not her other choice Aphmau is because Ace is a lesbian.

I have a conversation like this with my friend today where we asked each other silly shit about our biases and we legit talked for hours about it. I wanted to share some questions with you 💗

OH LOVE THISSSSS 😭🫶 my sister and I always talk about our biases for literal HOURS and it’s actually insane how long we can talk about the simplest little things pertaining to them. Thank you for asking these ahhh these were so fun to answer!! Here are the most condensed answers I came up with (bc let’s be real I could write paragraphs about this man😮‍💨☝️)

1. I love love LOOOVE Jisung’s natural hair, either black or a lighter brown. I always tell my sister his natural hair reminds me of a Korean Flynn Rider (the smolder and everything😭) and I think it suits his prominent eyebrows so beautifully and he just looks so boyfriend!! Second fav is the silver/blonde hair… he literally looks like AI with silver hair like he does NOT look real 😧🫶 Jisung definitely sits on my personal list of top 10 best looking idols and he also looks UNBELIEVABLE in person. Pics for reference but there were so many to pick from omg I had a field day on Pinterest fr

2. I’m obsessed with Run!!!! I think it’s such a fun song to listen to while I work or run errands or something. It has such a unique beat and it just feels very Jisung to me. Also I know it’s not technically a solo song but huge Muddy Water enthusiast too specifically for Jisung’s part 😵‍💫🤌 I died hearing it live at the Maniac tour he is SO talented

3. THIS WAS HARD…. I’m gonna go with the Maniac fancam for Show Champion OR the S-Class fancam for Mcountdown. I love when Jisung knows he looks good and just exudes confidence and talent like the Maniac one, he’s so sexy fr ☹️ the S-Class fancam is one of my fav outfits he’s ever worn I just think it’s so unique and the whole vibe of it feels so space-like 🪐☄️ fun fact I actually tried to buy his exact vest SO many times but they were always out of my size so I ended up getting Felix’s Psychonaut vest instead (by the same brand) their stylists should’ve gotten a raise for those outfits fr

4. I love both so so much but I’m very partial to his rap! I think he has one of the most unique voices amongst 4th gen in terms of rap and he just has such an effortless and smooth flow. Such an ace in so many ways and his rap really solidifies that for me every time I hear it. He also sounds exactly the same live and it’s so clear he’s just naturally gifted when it comes to his rap !!

5. Honestly it sounds like a copout but I have to go with Rock Star era only because he seems so HAPPY??? I know 5-star was a pretty rough era for him and we barely heard from him + it was clear he was maybe going through something (Jisung my beloved ☹️) but it was so good to see him smiling so much this comeback and just joking around with the members again and enjoying his stages. Happy Jisung is the best Jisung 🥹 also his stylists did NOT hold back with the fashion like we got slutty little Jaist™️ for so many stages and his outfits were all so god-tier

6. Ahhh my favorite question 🫶👼 and I have to go with a resounding no unfortunately 😭 I would LOVE to say we’d make a great couple but honestly I think Jisung and I are too similar in so many ways and we would get sick of each other pretty fast. 2, 9, 18 from this ask game

2. Labyrinth Runners! This is honestly a pretty random episode but I’m obsessed with it for many many reasons. Mostly being Gus characterization. We get it in other episodes (Looking Glass Ruins, Something Ventured Someone Framed) but I didn’t really relate it as much? (I was the youngest in all my classes, which Gus mentions in SVSF but just due to a late birthday, I didn’t actually skip a grade.) But OH MY GOD, Gus’s whole thing on worrying about friends with ulterior motives got to me. He’s so me fr. Plus, Hunter got a found family! They have Luz, Amity, and Willow! My babies have a support system! Also, the whole Amity and Willow subplot was nice because I could tell they wanted to talk about it more but they made it work with the shortening. They made Amity like the perfect mix of her condescension we see when she’s introduced along with her desire to change. Also, there’s so many little ship crumbs within a found family friendship episode so it’s very fluffy and nice and sweet. I did miss Luz but I kinda love “what’s up with the other guys” episodes in shows. 9. There’s some pretty clear indication Hunter would’ve stayed at the Owl House, so I think we would’ve got that. There’s a few subplots I think they’d touch on, like with the Bat Queen’s whistle and the Galderstones. Probably a lot more silly bonding episodes to work on character dynamics. I think there’d be at least one subplot (other than the Hollow Mind one) of Raine Darius and Eber. 18. Mostly the redeemed antagonists. Here’s a little list:

Amity: She just seemed like she was there to add drama but by Covention I had a feeling there was more to her. I didn’t see her becoming a love interest at first but discovering the mean girl was actually a disaster lesbian won me over. Lilith: I was pretty suspicious of her but I didn’t think she cursed Eda at first. When I found out she did, I wasn’t really that mad because I felt we’d get an explanation soon. I was just kind of annoyed at her for picking fights with kids a lot. I think around Keeping Up A-fear-Ances, when we see that most of her rudeness and childishness isn’t actually from a place of malice and she does care for King and Luz I liked her. Hunter: Kind of a more basic story. I kind of expected another Kikimora but then he wasn’t another Kikimora. Yay. Mattholomule: I honestly still don’t like him. It’s just an affectionate hatred now. Little weasel rat man. Skara: Idk why I didn’t like her at first but I didn’t. Maybe she was mean to Willow? At some random point I saw art with her or something and decided she was just a silly little guy.

It’s me and the online teachers against the world. Fight meh, (pls don’t, I ain’t intrigued enough for it)

• I love my little pony (if you couldn’t already tell) which has been easily going on for most of my life and never will stop (most lesbian show ever). Continuing on, I adore and know most of the episodes IF I can physically remember ( i DONT have good memory) , and rewatched each episode atleast twice..even when I’m busy. I would talk for hours on end and rant about it! Lol! ( I was born to watch this show ).

•MOSHI MONSTERsZZ, I have the encyclopedia and everything, I loved playing the game and trollling on there to scare everyone and wish I spent more time on it. I used to have figures of them and I personally also dreamt to become one of them as a kid! The series itself helped me interest into reading any kinds of silly stories too (LOVREE ITT). However, it was an on and off story, that’s why I didn’t spent so much. More obsessed now!

•Pokémon!! Gonna catch them alllll!, yes, I had the collections and when my dad brought me all them cards, i couldn’t help but pack them up read through trying to actually get them all! I would talk about it all day (if I ran out of ideas of mlp) running to school to interest others kids (most people were OPPS against this fr..) but that didn’t stop me from watching or playing!! :D Fixation since 2011-idk lol.

•Plants vs zombies..what a time. I remember how I kept this away from everyone, even my parents and uncle (mostly dad). Another one that’s been happening most of my life aswell. However, I got upset when they changed the game itself..I cried cus WTFFFF..they updated it to a basic level game and was no longer interested in it. I LOVE playing the old demo tho fr, best thing ever, just like everything else cus I die when change. I loved it since the DS version was out ( Jan 2011 ).

Hullo! I thought I’d start out by introducing myself My name’s Milo, I’m trans and non-binary and use they/them pronouns. I live on unceded Gadigal land, in so-called Sydney, Australia. I’m youeatdogchow on Instagram, and youeatdogfood on Tiktok (yes I’m on booktok), and I’m also on Goodreads, Storygraph, and Bookworm Reads. If you hadn’t guessed, I read a lot of books… like a lot… most of my free time is spent reading, and occasionally cycling through other various hobbies I never stick to (thanks ADHD). My current hobby/hyperfixation is learning how to play the harmonica, but I’ll be honest I’m not doing too well. I also get asked a lot how I concentrate on reading so well in light of my ADHD, and while I wouldn’t be able to do it so easily w/out medication (🙏 god bless u ritalin), I’m also autistic and reading is w/out a doubt my main special interest, and never fails to make me feel better and brings me back to baseline when I’m feeling dysregulated and overstimulated. And it doesn’t hurt that I work in a bookstore part-time, which fuels my dedication. I’m also a mental health support worker, and I’m in my third year (nearly fourth) of a Bachelor of Social Work at uni. I love it, but it’s definitely a slog. I’m taking a little half-year gap year fr the rest of 2023, and what inspired me to start this blog was that I’m missing studying and writing papers, and bc of this many of my latest book reviews on Goodreads, etc, have turned into what are essentially small essays. So I thought why not start a blog where I can just shout my essay-length opinions on books into the void that is the internet, and hope someone out there appreciates them.

But anyway, moving on. I generally read anywhere frm 70-90 books a year, and I mostly read non-fiction, w one or two fiction books thrown in every other month when I feel like switching it up. My nonfic choices used to predominantly be socio-political nonfic, and often around topics of policing and prison abolition and similar, w some history books thrown in, but in the last half year I’ve branched out a little, and have been reading more books on science and biology, and particularly on what someone once called “hopeful environmentalism” (an example would be Robin Wall Kimmerer’s ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ or Merlin Sheldrake’s ‘Entangled Life’). So I’ve been having fun w that!

Some of my favourite books are ‘Tomboy Survival Guide’ by Ivan Coyote (absolute all-time fave!), ‘Born to Run’ by Bruce Springsteen (maybe this seems like an odd choice but I’m a diehard Bruce fan), ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ by Robin Wall Kimmerer, ‘Inflamed’ by Rupa Marya and Raj Patel, ‘The Monster’s Bones’ by David K. Randall, ‘The Feminist Bookstore Movement’ by Kristen Hogan, ‘Are Prison’s Obsolete?’ by Angela Y. Davis, ‘Prison Writings’ by Leonard Peltier, ‘No More Police’ by Mariame Kaba and Andrea J. Ritchie, ‘Entangled Life’ by Merlin Sheldrake, and ‘Blood in the Water’ by Heather Ann Thompson, among many others.

Some other things about me: I have terrible taste in movies; most every book I read is serious and academic and sometimes even heart-wrenching, and I cope just fine, but I can’t handle serious tele and movies, and mostly just watch ridiculous and silly comedies. My favourite movie is Charlie’s Angels (2000) and Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz were definitely my gay root. I also went through an obsession w the show Our Flag Means Death, and I know when season two comes out (!!!) my obsession will def skyrocket again and it will consume me. I also have a 1308 (as of 01/09/23) day streak on Duolingo learning French, but honestly I do one lesson a day and it goes in one ear and straight out the other, so I can passably read French but can’t speak a lick of it. Also, as mentioned, I love Bruce Springsteen. I’ve seen him in concert once (best night of my life), but I have two Springsteen tattoos, and I’m always in the top .01 per cent of Springsteen listeners every Spotify wrapped, and I take my Bruce dedication seriously. I also love collecting cassette tapes (my collection is small but growing), and I have an old 1972 National Panasonic portable cassette player/recorder that is one of my most treasured possessions.

It’s seconds later that he regrets this choice and is being rugby tackled to the floor.

To say that Jacaerys Velaryon is ecstatic as you mutually walk out of the venue would be an understatement to say the least, tossing his floppy hair out of his face and grinning like a madman. “I’m just saying that if a tornado came flying at me I wouldn’t be asking about some petrified lizard.” The bell of your laughter rings in mellifluous delight. A giddy grin tilts on your face which sends him to scoop you up and spin you dramatically. “Oi!” You laugh until he settles you back down. His sweet brown eyes stare down into yours, two gentle, familiar fingers tucking the back of your neck so he can angle it toward him. He rests your foreheads together, breath intermingling with yours. “Do you want me to show you?” He lets his tongue dip to glisten his lips while a mischievousness twinkles your pupils. “That depends,” You tilt your head and let your sight wander over his face. “You gonna write me another song?” He smirks and the hand that keeps your head moving in tandem with his, wraps your hair through those long lithe digits. “I’ll write you every song in the world.” Jace breathes into your mouth and lets your plush lips delve through the cracks of his. Jace descends onto you like the world’s hungriest soul, passionately smacking his wet kiss to you in feverish delight. It’s instantaneous that your hands find purchase in the already ruffled brown curls that crown his head. They nestle against your fingers and kiss up your palm while their holder slips a quick swipe along your lower lip. 

Neither of you like the feeling of cold air wedging between you when you part but it’s necessary if you ever want to dive in again. His embrace doesn’t falter, free hand now clutching your side. He smirks unabashedly. “Someone’s eager.” Jace quips. A sigh tumbles like a thread from your mouth, half-hearted. “Aw come on,” He rubs his nose in swift strokes against yours. “You’re telling me you don’t wanna do that again as much as I do?” He leans a little closer, hopefully to resume but a short giggle stops him. 

“Sorry, we have a party to get to.” You state pointedly and pat his cheek before surging past in playfully quick steps. He sighs and watches you jog to Baela’s side, murmuring something to her to issue a loud laugh of her own and a sling of her arm around your shoulder. He’s almost jealous of her. Cregan slams a rough hand on his back as it always is and Jace almost jumps at the contact. Jace lolls his head to look at his best friend and sends a pointed look. Cregan raises his palms in surrender. “I asked you to stop doing that.” Jace groans but he’s still smiling. The northerner scoffs. “You love it.” He teases, eyes shining. Jace raises his brows. “And what if I thought you were…were some attacker!” He spurts, glee running over his tongue. “What if you came up to me and I just oof,” He mimes elbowing his friend in the nose only to wince and groan as Cregan’s laughter bellows, snatching the limb in his hand and twisting it behind his back. “Then we haven’t got anything to worry about, have we?” He teases. A thick amused silence passes them and Cregan drops Jace’s arms. Their feet shuffle in tandem as Jace settles his gaze back on you. 

“Have you asked her yet?” Cregan asks, running his fingers through the curls of his hair, much thicker than Jace’s own which the drummer can’t help but envy. Jace shrugs. “Not yet.” He flushes bashfully and looks down. Cregan quirks a brow and rakes a hand through his friend’s hair and tugs to raise his sights on your form again. The younger’s expression instantly softens. “I will, I will!” Jace exclaims with a childish edge and all too charismatic smile. Cregan scoffs. “You’ve been saying that for the past three months.” Jace’s hands bury in his pockets and he shrugs again. “Yeah but I just feel weird, you know?” Cregan frowns at him. Jace sighs. “She hasn’t said it back.” He mutters. Cregan points a finger at him. “Yet.” He corrects. Jace rolls his eyes. 

“Yet.” A plush pink lip wedges between the Targaryen’s shiny teeth. “I just thought she would have, you know? And it’s fine if she doesn't love me yet I just don’t want to lose her or I don’t know. I know I’m all or nothing but this time I just want her. I don’t care how.” Cregan’s sharp eyes look soft as they scan Jace’s bashful face. “You really like this girl, don’t you?” He asks softly. Jace nods. “Then let’s get you to this party.” He smirks, slapping a hand on his shoulder again and rearing him forward. Before they can get too far though, you and Baela are giggling to each other and your beaming smiles turn on them. They both lose their breath for a moment. “We’re going to pick up Helaena first.” You direct and before either can protest you narrow your eyes and twitch your nose. “No funny business, she’s our friend.” Both boys roll their eyes. “She’s also a green.” They state but Baela tuts at them. “Shameful.” She declares to you and spins around, playfully skipping ahead. “Shameful!” She yells the word this time. You chuckle as her hand tugs yours along. 

“I’m telling you the man is obsessed.” Baela giggles, whispering in your ear. You roll your eyes. “He’s my best friend.” You argue. “So?” Baela bounces her head in front of yours gently. Another burst of childish giggling bubbles through you both. If you hadn’t known better you would’ve thought you were both drunk. Your arm wraps around Baela’s waist while her arm hangs off your shoulder. Her fingertips twitch up slightly to play with some of the strands of your hair. “So, I think he’d sooner gut himself like a fish.” You snicker. “He probably thinks I’m some little sister.” You sigh somewhat wistfully and Baela gives you a look. You roll your eyes. “I still like Jace.” You assure, grinning mischievously. “Good because I don’t want my new step-sister in law getting swept off her feet by someone else before the nuptials are complete. A week left by the way, get your wedding dress.” You choke on your breath while she cackles at you. “I’m kidding.” She remedies then purses her lips with a shrug. “For now at least.” Your fingers are quick to pinch her side. She yelps and turns on you with mock offence. “How dare you.” “Your fault.” You sing, biting back the chuckle attempting to escape the gap between your teeth. She shakes her head slowly with a cheshire smirk. “Oh, you’re gonna get it!” She squeals and her fingers are quick to tickle you. 

You jump into the passenger side of the car before she can attack you. She huffs and slides into the opposite side, feigning sturdiness before pinching your own side. You share a glance with one another and shake your heads. A sigh drains from between both your lips but the smiles remain. You actively ignore when Cregan knocks on the window. “It can wait!” You yell out and Baela sticks her tongue out at them both. Baela revs the engine when Cregan and Jace finally bid their goodbyes and leave you be. “Where’d she go?” You ask, letting your eyes roam the street. “Aegon wanted her.” Baela winks and chuckles at the wrinkle of your nose. “You couldn’t have worded that any other way?” “What?”  “Or just not have winked you freak.” She scoffs at your retort and continues driving down the road. Her sights rake over the various parks or establishments Helaena may have been dragged to.

Aegon sighs as he lays awkwardly across the swingset, his head dangling backward and legs bent to the floor. The middle of his spine settles on the seat. He jumps however when a familiar voice sounds. “I thought I’d find you here.” Helaena’s soft words utter as she draws closer. He sighs, not entirely all that surprised. He hates that she always manages to find him. “I wish you didn’t.” He snapped coldly. She doesn’t flinch, all too familiar with an angry Aegon. “You need to apologise.” She says and seats herself on the floor beside his swing. His eyes water, burning red already. “No.” He spits. Helaena sighs and rolls her eyes. “It’s not like she knows anyway.” He grumbles and throws his hands up for a second. His eyes widen in realisation as he plummets to the ground, wincing. He should have thought that through. Helaena snickers but he doesn’t comment. The only good thing Aegon has ever thought he was good at was laughing at himself…well that and loving Y/n. “I don’t regret it.” He states softly–too soft. hIs sister nods. “I know.” She whispers. He bites his lip and sniffles.

“Why does loving people hurt?” He asks, finally looking at her with his big doe eyes. “I don’t like it.” Helaena smiles sadly and reaches out to squeeze his hand. “I know.” She sighs. “But I don’t think loving is for us. I think it’s for them.” He almost questions the wistful glance in her eyes but bites back the remark when her brows harden. Sometimes he really hates this sibling telepathy schtick. Aegon grumbles to himself and looks up at the sky. “Sometimes,” He licks his lips. “I look at the stars and I feel nothing.” Helaena’s brows thread together. “What do you mean?” “I mean,” He pauses to sigh again. “I look at them, at their sparkling and glimmer and all I can think is they’re a few boring rocks.” Helaena shuffles and sends a hard look. “Aegon–” “But she loves them.” He breathes the words as though they were a revelation themselves, not something he had known for years. “She thinks they’re as beautiful as I think she is and all I can say is that she’s right. Gods I don’t think she could ever be wrong.” Silence wraps them in a warm blanket against the frozen air that encompasses them. “I think you should tell her.” Helaena murmurs. He looks at her like she’s grown an entirely new organism. “What?” He scoffs. “No.” “Yes.” She groans. “She cares for you and if you don’t tell her now, she may never know.” “She doesn’t want me.” He continues to argue. “She wants someone like Aemond, smart and snarky or Jace, stupid and gentle. Not me, if she ever came to you and told you about some guy like me and I wasn’t your brother you would tell him to get lost.”“Yes but–” “Exactly.” “But,” She emphasises. “You are my brother and I know you.” She squeezes his hand. “I know that you would sooner cast yourself off a cliff than hurt her.”

They are interrupted by a sudden holler, turning to see Baela running over with her arms outstretched. Helaena sighs and Aegon cackles. “Your groupies are waiting.” He tells her and makes a shooing gesture. Reluctantly Helaena stands and approaches the girl who immediately tackles her in a bear hug so strong it nearly sends them both to the floor. “We missed you!” Baela sings. “Yeah yeah,” Helaena tries to hide her grin. Eventually Baela is scraped off of her by an all too familiar presence. You smile and wave and suddenly he can’t think of anything but that smile. He returns his own instantly and all too rehearsed, waving back weakly. “Bye Aeg! You did great today, love you!” You call as you collect your friends off the floor and drag them back to the car. A metal crank turns the bile in his stomach to rush up his throat. 

You sigh as you clamber into the backseat so Helaena can sit next to Baela. The key turns and Baela whistles to herself. Helaena grimaces but doesn’t say anything so you take it upon yourself to poke Baela’s neck. She reels and yelps but the sound of Helaena’s sweet giggles makes it all worth it. When Baela seems to grasp the situation she forms an ‘oh’ and has the decency to appear bashful. “Sorry, Hela.” She murmurs awkwardly as she settles her palms on the wheel and pulls the car back. “Forget sometimes.” Helaena waves it off but you can tell the words bring a glimmer to her eye. “It’s fine.”  She smiles and rolls her fingers across the aux cord. “Can I pick?” She asks and you both nod in response. Helaena still isn’t the most talkative around you both but she’s tranquil and against your own casual demeanour and Baela’s passionate sparks your little trio works. The journey to Alyn and Addam’s place is short but filled with unusual chatter and laughter. Baela sighs deeply and interlocks her fingers with a smiling Helaena. “It’s times like these that I remember why I had a crush on you last summer.” She murmurs with a twinkle in her iris. Helaena coughs abruptly as Baela snickers and lets go. A gentle pink heat surfaces up Helaena’s face and ear but her friend takes no notice. You share an amused glance with her and stumble out of the car. 

Walking through the bustling crowd is both exciting and overwhelming. Your eyes widen considerably as they flicker over the sea of people, hoping to see a familiar face. You jump when two warm palms lift you by the waist. You yep at the suddenness while your friends attempt to scold Jojen who merely rolls his eyes and huffs. “You’re no fun.” He tuts. “Or they don’t have a death wish.” Bran Stark quips, his palms rolling himself toward her with a knowing smirk. “Y/n.” Jojen says, beaming like a puppy. You look at him expectantly. “Jace is looking for you.” You nod and glance with furrowed brows and pursed lips. “Where is he?” You ask to which he points at nothing. He frowns. “Oh.” Again you jump but this time because of a cold hand newly holding yours. You look up into blue eyes, not brown. “Dance with me.” Aegon blurts but before you can answer his rushed words and infiltrating gaze, Jace is equally eager to take you by your other hand. He slims his lips as he stares equally fierce at you. “Actually Y/n came with me tonight so I think that’s my job.” He states quickly. Baela snorts and folds her arms. “Both of you do it.” She prompts with a teasing expression. “Yeah,” You agree. “Why not.” Your smile is tight but you don’t want to separate another argument between your lover and best friend. Before either can continue, you’re tugging them into the living room and between the smothering close bodies. You don’t think you’ve ever seen either of them more uncomfortable with Aegon’s stiff pg motions and Jace’s heated stare. What has gotten into them? Your soft palms lift to twist the two men around in little twirls which Jace smirks at and Aegon attempts to stop. Jace unravels his hand from yours and settles it on your hip, his other matching your left side. He leans to your ear, using his nose to brush back your hair. “I need to talk to you.” His murmurs, hot breath eliciting shivers up your spine. Your eyes lose inhibition and you nod sharply, following him as he tugs you upstairs.

The muffled music sounds from downstairs as you sit on the soft bed. Jace surprisingly doesn’t shut the door which triggers both relief and disappointment in your next exhale. His hands cup your face and he kisses you with a new fervour, one that sends his tongue battling yours. His teeth knock against yours every so often, his fingers wrapping in your hair. He grunts into your mouth, a shiver coursing his veins. “You know what you do to me.” He groans into your mouth. He kisses you deeper. “You have to by now.” One hand released to cup your neck. “I love you, I love you,” He kisses wet trails down your neck, earning a gasp which he positively beams at. His soft gentle oak eyes look up at you. “I lo–” Your almost-boyfriend is suddenly interrupted by a stumbling blonde, skipping toward you both. You gasp and grasp the older boy’s hands, Jace almost forgotten. “Aeg? Aeg, are you alright?” You ask. This wasn’t the first time he’s lost all care for himself in public. He grumbles and slumps on the floor. Your alarmed eyes meet Jace’s. “I need you to get some water, can you do that?” He nods hesitantly and rises to leave, casting an anxious glance your way. You sigh and sit beside him. “Are you alright?” You ask again and he nods weakly, head lolling onto your shoulder. “You’re disappointed in me again aren’t you?” He asks, voice both vulnerable and slurring. Your brows pinch. “I’m never disappointed in you, Aeg.” He whines in response, baby blue eyes look up at you as his lip wobbles. “But you don’t call me Aeggy anymore. Why won’t you call me Aeggy?” Your lips part in surprise. “I didn’t think you’d noticed.” You whisper, fingers combing his slick hair. You frown. “Why do you put this stuff in it? It’s gross.” He barks a laugh and smiles, eyes softening every moment. 

“I love you.” He murmurs, your best friend’s eyes flickering to your lips. All of your bones tense as quickly as water can fall. “What?” You cough out. “I love you.” Aegon leans a little closer. “No you don’t.” You argue quietly. You shake your head slowly. “No, you don’t.” His serene expression breaks, hurt fleeting as infatuation replaces it. “I do.” “No, you don’t.” You snap. “Because if you did then you would have told me before. You don’t love me. Not after I’ve spent twelve of fourteen years in love with you. No, Aeg,” Your voice rises and quickens like as if you were fighting against quicksand. “No, you don’t.” You notice the irritation in his eyes. “Would you please just listen to me for once.” Then he seems to catch onto your final words and his eyes bulge. “Wait, what? No, no, no, no, stop. Wait, that’s not.” His head pounds painfully and he winces. “Wait, just wait.” You don’t have a chance as Jace bustles inside and latches two hot fists to scrunch up the fabric of his uncle’s shirt. Aegon growls low and grasps him by the hair. “Fuck you!” Jace yells as they tussle. You stand up sharply. “Stop it!” You scream at them both but they don’t hear you.

You take it upon yourself to grapple both of their ears between your fingers. “Never have I had to shout at either of you like this!” Their eyes both drop to the floor and they release the other. You release a heavy breath and swallow. You regain composure and soften your voice. “Both of you are going to go downstairs. Jace, have you drank?” He shakes his head. “Then you’re taking Aegon home.” He opens his mouth to protest but your glare quickly silences him. You sigh in relief and leave, slamming the door shut behind you. You rush down the stairs in time to see Rhaena and Helaena singing Cyndi Lauper on the karaoke machine. You shake your head, approaching Baela with wet eyes. She knits her brows and cups your cheeks. “Are you okay?” She asks. You shake your head, a sniffle tickling your nose. When she spots the frustration in your eyes she nods and gestures to Helaena. Your lip wobbles. “When did Rhaena get here?” You ask, smiling softly when you feel Helaena wrap you in a thick knit poncho. “Don’t know, she came with Luke and Daeron apparently.” Helaena tells you. You nod and laugh at Baela’s unimpressed grumbling.

When Jace arrives at the Targaryen estate he all but shoves his uncle to the door, knocking harshly. Aemond winces at the obnoxious sound and clambers out of his bed, rubbing tired eyes. He takes slow steps however, he’s not about to let some shithead control how quickly he answers just because they’re impatient. He’s grateful that his mother  has gone abroad for the week. Aemond sighs at the image that greets him. Jace instantly turns his back on them, he doesn’t want to piss Y/n off more than he already has. Aegon grumbles and doesn’t take kindly to when Aemond tugs him up. “We need to do something about that kid.” He grimaces and meets his brother’s eye. “He’s an arsehole.” The jibe isn’t anything unsaid before but the taller of the two takes note of Aegon’s aggression. He scans his brother who settles sharp eyes on him. An unspoken alliance issues in the thick night air.

Sometimes he really loves this sibling telepathy business.

me when it’s time for locus:

Fr the amount of lore I have stacked up in my brain for this man... all 3 of you who read these posts better be ready to do some scrolling because I am rotted in the cabeza. 

Here’s some feverish rambling about one of my favorite rvb characters (of all time):

- Locus is a changeling, courtesy of my most genius moment in this AU 2 years ago. At the time I was only watching bits and pieces of DS9 whenever my mom had it on, but I got enough to immediately know it was perfect for him. Like Odo, Locus is one of the hundred baby changelings who got sent out into the galaxy with no memories. But I think he probably floated in space for a long time before landing anywhere, so he is decently old physically. 

- As continued, Locus followed a similar path to Odo, but instead of landing on Bajor, he crashed onto Cardassia in the wild lands, where he lay for a very long time. Until one day, he was found by a Cardassian military group - which included Felix and Siris. Since the equivalent of the Halo Great War would be the Dominion War, that’s when this is set. At first, the Cardassians just think this is a mildly interesting slimy sample, but when set near their weapons, they find that it can transform into them. All of a sudden Locus becomes very important to the Cardassians, even more so when they discover he can change from one weapon into another. And that’s what they think he is at this point - some kind of shapeshifting weapon. This is also why they call him Locus - I’m twisting canon a bit, but I’m gonna say that a particular type of phase rifle that they use is a “Locus” model. 

- Eventually, one day as the squad is sitting around talking, they start to prompt Locus to change into one of the soldiers. To all of their utter shock, they discover he can do this, and is in fact a sentient, living creature. But they are in a war after all... and he is still a weapon. (can I get a you are nothing more than a suit of armor and a gun?) Locus becomes an unofficial member of the military squad, who manages to survive in ragged numbers. He’s used both as a soldier and as a physical weapon/armor, which as he’s known nothing else but these Cardassians, he accepts as a fact of life. After the war ends and Cardassia is ravaged, his story would proceed much like it did in canon - he joins up with Felix and Siris, working as a mercenary on distant worlds. I’ll talk more about Siris once I draw him, but at some point Felix and Locus end up working together without him and eventually make their way to Chorus. Which I’ll talk more about when I draw Doyle and Kimball. Goddamn the thoughts in this head.

- Just as Odo has limits to his shapeshifting, I wanted to give some to Locus as well. He does still have to periodically rest in his liquid state, because I think that’s very funny. But his main weakness is that he’s an incredibly good shapeshifter, able to mimic people and things down the smallest detail - he’s just an incredibly terrible actor. He can look like your friend, but if he opens his mouth he cannot convince he’s them. So Locus mostly does spying/background work, which makes Felix desperately he - the “people person” - was the one who could shapeshift instead. 

- Locus’s weird little obsession/mancrush with Wash is one of my favorite little details about him, and when you can literally turn into someone I think that leaves some very fun doors open. Just to explain that ridiculous second extra drawing I made. 

- During the equivalent to seasons 11/early season 12, Locus is fully presenting himself as a normal Cardassian, and he and Felix are riding on basically the same backstories they use in the show - old war buddies turned rivals, etc etc. I think Felix would spin himself as a soldier who was forced to do terrible things during the war, but is trying to redeem himself by helping out the rebels (who are Bajorans in this AU). However Locus, as he is wont to do, just plays himself as an ice cold mercenary who is neutral to either side of this conflict. 

- As time goes on during the late season 12/season 13 equivalent arc, Locus does spy work, frequently disguised as a Bajoran or a Human. He begins to favor these forms (as he grows more and more conflicted about himself), something that Felix absolutely hates. Post-season 13, he would rarely change into a Cardassian again. His scar is something that he keeps, though - originally he gave it to himself because the leader of the original military squad (the suit of armor and a gun guy) had the same scar, and Locus saw him as an authority/father/mentor figure. Post season 13, he keeps it a reminder to himself and to keep him in check. 

- God I can talk about Locus for hours. I’m so fond of changelings. Can I get a hell yeah for any pronouns Locus? Changelings are literally The gender fluid.
