Mineral worms are one of the species of worms that inhabit Earth, being the largest known worm species. They can grow to be a maximum of 16 feet in height and can measure anywhere from 100 to 130 feet in length once they reach adulthood.

They do start out as small as earthworms when they first hatch. A single collection of eggs can be in the hundreds, hatching many baby mineral worms. Though, usually only a few of them make it all the whole to adulthood.

They usually travel underground as they search for minerals, but occasionally go closer to the surface for moisture from rain.

When a mineral worm is turned into a train, their vital organs are kept intact such as their mouths, brains, nerves, and stomaches/digestive systems which allows them to power the train via consumption of the minerals they would typically eat.

They are still able to sense the world around them and can even still create sounds that are now called hissing or a shrill roaring sound of the train.

catharsis (artist statement under the cut, read before reblogging)

i started this drawing to fill a niche. i’ve seen plenty of fanmade (and now canon) material of bill’s statue being vandalized or beat up on, but never so far as to damage it to the point of being unrecognizable. there were some very strong and specific feelings that drove the making of this piece, but ultimately they boiled down to my own personal need to see bill’s statue utterly destroyed by the one person who deserves it the most.

my coloring process was very dynamic- i didn’t have a set idea in mind for how i wanted the colors or lighting to look and most of my artistic decisions were made intuitively. by the end i’d subconsciously decided to set the scene to be very early in the morning, which is more fitting than i originally thought it would be; that and ford’s sweaty clothes and skin convey (i hope) that he’s been out in the woods alone all night, with the privacy to rage, yell, cry, whatever he needs to do to get his pain out as he turns what is left of his abuser into dust.

i don’t often write long statements like this to go with my art, and some of the above commentary i normally might have put in the tags, but in this case i wanted my thoughts and intent to be inseparable from the art itself. also forgive me if my writing sounds a bit disjointed, sometimes i have a hard time putting my thoughts into words

Can’t stop thinking ab Frak feeling guilty over introducing Ras teachings to Arin and then at some point admitting it to the team resulting in Sora now fighting/arguing with him (she’s not handling this whole situation well ok) and maybe even in the heat of the moment Frak reminds Sora of how she had lied to him and this just turns into them having tension and fighting until Lloyd suddenly snaps at both of them and it catches everyone by surprise including Lloyd himself and everybody then feels like shit because Frak upset Lloyd the green ninja and thinks everyone hates him and Sora is not used to Lloyd snapping like that and Lloyd hates himself for the way he reacted and holy shit it’s a mess -
