Replica Anniversary DTIYS!

Well, it was one year ago today that I started Replica!  It’s been a wonderful experience so far and I wanted to do something fun to show my appreciation to you all!  So in celebration I want to do my very first DTIYS, but we’re going to do this one a little differently. 

YOUR MISSION: to design a comic cover for the upcoming Replica Holiday Special that is all about the birth of Casey Jr:

The year is 2028, eight years before the start of Replica.  The Central Park Colony is still going strong and the turtles now must protect an expecting Cassandra Jones from the very people they are sworn to defend. 

As far as theme that is entirely up to you!  I’ve always found comic covers to be fun because they don’t necessarily have to show what happens in the actual story. So if you want Casey Senior holding up Junior on Pride Rock, Lion King style?  That’s great. You want to do an epic pose of the turtles battling Krang while trying to defend the Caseys?  Perfect.  You want to have Casey Junior bursting out of a Krang’s stomach like a Xenomorph???  Okay weird, but I’ll accept it so long as it’s not too gory!  Also the cover doesn’t  have to be Casey centric, I just want to see what you all come up with! (Note: please no NSFW art)

I have included character sheets and some visual development as reference for how the characters will look at this point in the story (though you do not need to strictly follow it. Feel free to give it your own artistic twist).  I will also include a PNG of the logo in case you have a vision for how you want it to be incorporated. Note you don’t have to use the logo but if yours is picked as the winner I will be putting a logo in there somewhere!

PRIZES: 3rd Place: an OC of yours will get to be a bg character in Replica (note the character cannot be an AU version of one of the main cast for obvious reasons). 2nd Place: a black and white commission of one character of your choosing. 1st Place: your cover front and center in the Replica lineup (with credit of course) as well as a 1-2 character commission w/ color (please no nsfw requests for either commission). 

DUE DATE: NOVEMBER 19 (gives you all 2 months)

IMPORTANT: please use #replica DTIYS hashtag for easy search Also please DM me with your finished cover on Tumblr (otherwise I might miss it!)

NOTE: while not mandatory you’ll probably want the piece to be around the typical comic cover vertical 2:3 ratio (10x15" for example).

I’ve never done an event like this before so I’ll admit I’m a little nervous.  Don’t know if this will even gain any traction but I just want people to have good time and get creative :)

Hello!! I bring to you all a DTIYS (draw this in your style) with a twist!! I'll detail the guidelines below, its the same as whats written on the slides above!!

This is a DTIYS that can be done either as a regular DTIYS where you draw the image with your own style OR you can do the more personalized one!!

My OC (Cam) is a changeling, so I want you to interpret what he might look taking the form as your OC!! He's got limitations to how he can mimic others appearances which are as follows.

The two elements to include would be:

A CROWN (can be a physical crown, horns, a halo, stars, flower crown, etc.)

A CURL on the forehead (can be hair, a third eye, facial marks, paint, etc.)

Basically draw your OCs with those features interpreted however you'd like! It's not limited to DnD OCs, you can include ANY oc (anthro, anime, your own au oc, modern ocs, anything!!) I'd just think this is a fun spin on a traditional DTIYS!

Backgrounds: get better at drawing backgrounds

Currently making an eight paneled lighthearted comic (connverse of course)... which I will continue later in the morning after coffee.

With that last post, I take a short break from doing commissions. (More details about my commission status here.) I decided this month I'll first focus on creating designs for my Redbubble and Teepublic shops, making those personal fanarts/drawings that I've kept procrastinating, maybe do some expired connverse DTIYS.... and, what do you think of kofi requests? Unlike commissions I'll have much more freedom with the drawings and they'll be in a style that's quickly done (relatively) and very simple. The posibility of getting any is few to none so why not mix it in the itinerary, right? I'll make a separate post for more info of it.

I’ve been playing a lot of Brawl Stars lately and caved in and drew an oc/self insert, because of course I would

I tried to draw them in a Brawl Stars-esc style, I actually really like how this came out (except maybe the hands, hands suck)

I actually REALLY like their design, I hope to draw them a lot in the future

I’m still figuring out what their Gadgets and Star Powers would be, so when I figure them out I’ll edit this to include them

Also originally intended for them to be the 3rd member of the Gift Shop Trio, but then I realized they don’t have the gift shop vest, and I wasn’t going to add it over their hoodie, so I guess their not in the Gift Shop Trio anymore????

I’ve been asked a bunch and i REALLY should have done this sooner but, I can be commissioned!

It’s through fiverr and you can definitely message me if you want to commission me for something but the gigs I have available don’t fit what you have in mind.  There are different gigs up. For example, sketch requests, art in my normal style, and then art in my painting-ish style! A personal post and also #DTIYS (rules below) Why I've drawn these 4 nations from Hetalis has to do with my family background. I'm German but my family is originally from Poland or more specific from Silesia. Though it is Polish nowadays it changed nations frequently throughout history. It has been independent, Bohemian, Polish, Austrian, Prussian, German and now Polish. (Btw Prussia taking Silesia from Austria was also shown in the anime😉) For the dtiys: ❗➡️I would love to see something like this done from other people too, if you have ancestors from at least two nations that appear in Hetalia.
