I’m genuinely so fucking sick of the “you all would have loved it if it was Eddie who made that comment” take.

First of all, Eddie wouldn’t have made comment then, bc he knows how hard it is for Buck to talk about his emotions, & is REALLY good at giving him the space to talk about them, even if he does make jokes, they’re not out of pocket (the coming out scene, anyone? Breaking the tension with a joke & still being supportive without making a joke of his feelings.)

Secondly, even if Eddie DID make that comment, I’d probably still roll my eyes, but I’d be more willing to accept it. Do you wanna know why???

Who was the person that knew the details of what Buck was talking to his therapist about during their emergency session before the Buckley’s visit? Who is the first one they show at Buck’s side when he gets stuck in the warehouse trying to pull Saleh out after learning about Daniel?? Who is the one who was pacing downstairs in the station & making sure Buck was okay after the warehouse, and the one who warned him about his visitors??

Who was the one praying at Bobby’s bedside, right next to Buck in the hospital?

(I’ll give you a hint, it’s not the dude that’s had 10 minutes of fucking screen time that everyone forgot about post s1.)

It wouldn’t have been the same bc TOMMY AND EDDIE ARE NOT THE SAME. They are not on the same level of knowing Buck & understanding when to make jokes & what jokes to make. Your best friend, partner & co-parent of 6 years and the man that you haven’t even called your boyfriend yet are not on the same level of familiarity.

I get that you’re pissed that Tommy is being compared to Buck’s previous love interests (which would be the case, even if he wasn’t just as shitty & uninterested in Buck as a person as they all were) but if you genuinely think that he’s anywhere near Eddie’s level, EVEN PLATONICALLY, then I fear that you have been watching another show entirely, & I encourage you to watch more than just s7, bc that’s the only explanation I can come up with for why this fuck ass take exists.

As someone who hasn’t finished the second season of Gravity Falls yet (I’m halfway through) but has heard things, what if the reason Bill was fighting so hard to get Ford to join him again is because in another timeline he succeeded so knowing that there was a chance he tried getting Ford to join him hoping it would work in the canon timeline as well

Idk tho I figured an all knowing deity like Bill could probably peek into different timelines (since he knows maybe?? That the twins die in every other universe)

We all know Timmy is Wanda’s mama’s boy but we need to keep in mind he’s still Cosmo’s kid too and that Cosmo would love him just as vehemently as Wanda

#fairly oddparents #not that anyone has portrayed him different #certainly not distance he loves Timmy he probably says it the most in the show and in fanon #but still- watching New Wish there felt like there was a disconnect with Cosmos character-like he wasn’t as well defined as he was in OG #that’s in part due to them toning him down from being an idiot plain and simple but I feel like it wasn’t fitted with something else it was #simply taken away #just to say he didn’t have as much of a presence to me in New Wish as Wanda did and I crave spinning Cosmo around in my brain #I want to see Poof being his Dad’s Boy yknow and I want to see cosmo doting and I want to see when he gets like. parental rage for the sake #of his kids #yknow? Yknow? part of him feeling detached in a new wish has translated into him not wanting to get as close to Hazel as he did Timmy-#to try and play it more like godparents are supposed to- just a presence for a couple months #but also because like. he got SO attached to Timmy and he’ll never regret it and he’d never do anything different #but idk. if it were me I wouldn’t have the capacity to go through losing my godkid again after becoming that attached #that’s not even mentioning that they don’t HAVE to be in hazel’s life the same way they were in Timmy’s because Timmy was going through #neglect and Hazel has loving family and friends all around her at all times- her blocks are mental #in that way cosmo and Wanda just have to do the Typical Godparent Job of aiding her- not becoming people she desperately needs in life #which also bleeds into why I think Peri was having such a. difficult time #godparents aren’t supposed to be attached the way his family was to Timmy and that how he learned it #but his first godkid is Not Easy and lends immediately to the issues Timmy was having where he HAS parents he HAS things (though . Unpopular Opinion: Every time a black female character (especially if this black female character is dark skinned) enters into a relationship with the popular fan-favorite white male character usually one of three things happen a. the black female character is now headcanoned as a lesbian (never bisexual or queer or anything that would leave the character with the possibility of still entering into a relationship with a man) b. white male character is now shipped with other popular fan-favorite white male character/other white female character (the popular fan-favorite white male character is usually headcanoned to be bisexual and when he is, shipped with a woman that woman is always white) or c. black female character (and sometimes their actresses) is now being talked about as if they are the devil himself.

Wanting characters to explore their sexuality is fine but I always find it odd how this always happens when one member of the relationship is a black/blackish woman. *forgot to mention the suddenly polyamorous relationship the three (black female, white male and white male/woman) characters are now without a doubt in*

(The only thing I’d add is that they don’t just do this when the woman in question is with a white man, see Namor and Shuri and the backlash some shippers got for shipping them).

You aren’t the only one who has been noticing this trend.

I say trend loosely because really just a new stereotype to add to the bunch😒

It would be one thing if it was a want for actual representation, but every time now like clockwork. as soon as they see a Black woman who looks like she’s going to have a romantic arc with said popular fandom man, boom she must be gay😑

Hell, it’s getting so bad that these shows/movies are automatically just writing their Black women characters in that way.

If people can’t see how this can be harmful/dangerous, that’s cool, but anytime you want to paint all of a group a certain way and won’t show them in any other setting, that’s how you end up birthing new stereotypes.

This isn’t creating diversity. It’s limiting it(once again).

It’s so all or nothing with our media representation. Black women don’t want to be shown as one thing(which seems to go right over most people’s heads).

We just want the same opportunities as everybody else and not to be put into one or two narrow boxes of acceptable characterization that doesn’t threaten the status quo(aka you can't have Black women looking desirable especially not when there is an available white woman right there next to her).

i’ve got a question to ask out of curiosity about the eah community’s general consensus

since the books and the show have different continuities and also within the world of the supplementary Ever After High media, the books themselves differ in continuity depending on series/author, i have a feeling this answer could vary depending on one’s bias…

i’m not adding an “other” option because you’re crazy if you think they met in infancy/as toddlers or if you genuinely believe the beginning of canon in the show (start of legacy year) is legitimately when they first meet.

#my answer is complicated #on one hand i don’t think they only meet for the very first time at the start of high school #but at the same time #i’m not convinced they had spoken to each other outside of exchanging a few words every so often before then.#if you have to ask me though i’d dodge the question #and instead tell you how i’d say they first learned of each other’s existences at different times in life #apple knew raven existed before raven knew apple existed #because while snow white is very much about engraving their story and destiny into apple #the evil queen is more concerned with raven being evil in general.#so i’d assume she’d be less concerned with telling her daughter about how the queen of ever after has a daughter she’s expected to poison #and more concerned with telling her she should be the catalyst to anarchy.#i said too much but basically i think apple knew raven existed by the age of like 3 or 4 #as opposed to raven who probably only learned about apple by 5 or 6.#their first face-to-face encounter most likely happened in spellementary school #but what do i know?#eah #ever after high #raven queen #apple white #raven and apple #poll #ramble

Times are desperate. All of my friends in town are busy so I have resorted to asking my educational therapist if the client she once mentioned that likes kpop would be free. This kid is 14, but apparently she does stan OnlyOneOf so why not. I’m not gonna let this ticket go to waste. It’ll also probably be a good experience for me if I end up chaperoning a 14yr old and a great experience for her if she ends up getting to go to a concert with a young adult fellow fan instead of a parent or guardian.

Me, chaperoning a young teen at a concert???? Not something I ever thought I’d do but it may happen. For her sake, I hope it’s possible because I’m 100% sure she’ll have the time of her life.
