Hiyori: Sighing again? Jun-kun, just how many times can you sigh in a day before you're satisfied?

It won't be my fault if your happiness flies out the window! But of course, with me around, I'm sure it'll be in no hurry to leave ♪

Jun: What's your point, exactly.

Jun: ...Oh, it's that thing about happiness escaping whenever you sigh, huh.

Well, since it can hang out around you instead of gloomy ol' me, won't my happiness be pretty happy about that~?

Hiyori: Since it can hang out with me... What, now you're thinking about your happiness's happiness?

We have work as Eve after this, too, so sort yourself out!

Jun: ...I'm sorry. I'll do my best to get myself together when it's time to work.

Hiyori: You've been in this state for a while recently, Jun-kun, and I know you'll switch gears during work, but...

I'd much rather you straighten up and stop moping each and every time we have a spare moment in between. Aren't you tired of being so stuck in your own head?

Jun: It's harder to stay out of my head, y'know~...

Sigh... Maybe I really was kinda outta line with what I said to Ibara, wasn't I?

Hiyori: Good grief. I've long lost count of how many times I've heard you say that by now!

"Maybe I said something outta line~" this, and "Maybe I sounded all full of myself~" that.

The moment something leaves your mouth you can't ever take it back, so you have to take responsibility for what you say, you understand?

Jun: You've got a point there...

Hiyori: Goodness. Well, you've never disagreed with Ibara in this way before, Jun-kun.

I was so intrigued when it happened and looked forward to seeing how it would turn out, but now all your indecisiveness has me rather fed up, honestly.

Hiyori: ...Jun-kun, all you did was share your honest opinion. There's nothing wrong with conveying your feelings, okay?

You were able to say it precisely because you're you, and Ibara's sure to have had his own conflicted feelings on it already.

Jun: ... You're right. If he hadn't, he wouldn't have got up and left like that.

...But still, I didn't make him mad at me, did I? What was up with his attitude back then?

Hiyori: Who knows? I for one certainly don't understand what he's thinking.

After all, even though we're continuing to have a decent amount of work separately as Adam and Eve, we also still have work all together as Eden.

Actually, hang on. We're all living in the same dorm, so if it's truly bothering you so much, why don't you just go talk to him about it?

Jun: Um, well... I mean, we barely look at each other when we're working, let alone talk...

But he's going about work as normal without seeming fazed by it at all, so it's got me wondering if I'm the only one so hung up over this, and —

Ugh, I'm such a mess! What the fuck am I supposed to do?!

Hiyori: Come now, Jun-kun, watch your language.

The fact that you're the one so worked up over this rather than Ibara is really rather amusing, though ♪

Jun: It's not funny, y'know~

... I mean, whenever we have any issues or complaints about anything, we've always just told Ibara, right?

And he'll hear us out, and manage to find some middle ground everyone's happy with, yeah?

Even when dealing with someone as self-centred as you, he'll still always stop to consider things and figure out some kinda compromise...

Hiyori: What was that? I do believe you just said something absolutely uncalled for?

Jun: (completely ignoring him) Man, that guy's actually always doing incredible stuff for us~

Back when we were filming that MV, too... It was thanks to Ibara's honest pep talk that I had the confidence to tackle it head-on.

Hiyori: And back then, I was the only one left in the dark!

Jun: I've apologised over and over already, haven't I? I've already told you I'm sorry for clamming up and not talking to you 'bout it...

Hiyori: You have. Well, I'll stop being all sullen about it, and this time I'll get myself just a touch involved in your little interpersonal problem so you can't leave me out again.

Jun: Um, you were right there with us listening to our convo, so there's no way you'd be left out of this, though...?

Hiyori: Look, it feels different, you understand!

It seems that since then, Ibara's come up with some plans for a new direction to head in. You know how he is. Jun-kun, you ought to move on from this, too.

What Ibara wants to do for Chocolat Fes is for our sake — for Eden, isn't it? It's a wish of his that you may even call a long-held aspiration, really.

That's why Nagisa-kun and I voiced no opposition to his plan. But Jun-kun, you were the only one who pushed back on it.

Jun: …………

Hiyori: I'm sure you can look within yourself to understand why exactly you said something like that, yes?

Jun: ... It just seemed to me that Ibara wasn't completely down with having to work COMP into his plans, I guess. It felt like he was kinda ticked off about it.

And being the kinda person I am, I just... couldn't stand the idea of shit getting in the way of something he's so passionate about.

So without even thinking 'bout it I just went and said I was against it... Then I got a lil' out of line with the things I blurted out after that.

In the end, I wound up getting called annoying.

Hiyori: ...Well, you're a warrior of love, after all. Once you noticed the internal struggle Ibara was battling with, you simply couldn't leave him be.

Jun: Whaddya mean, "warrior of love".

Hiyori: ....Hehe ♪

Back then, I certainly picked up on the feelings you just described, Jun-kun.

But to me, I would guess that the reason why you were able to speak your mind to Ibara is because you have a different perspective on Valentine's Day from him.

Jun: A different perspective of Valentine's Day...?

Hiyori: That's right. I mean, at the time you called Valentine's Day a "tender event filled with love", didn't you?

Unlike Ibara, you don't see it as a battlefield to conquer. Wouldn't you call that a difference in perspective?

Jun: Um... sorta...?

Hiyori: The fact you could say something like that surely means you have an ideal image of what it looks like, no?

Hiyori: Now, I'd like you to tell me all about it. What would a typical Valentine's Day look like to you?

It was just an ordinary school day, doing English in maths, chit-chatting in VA, and sneaking phone out in Science. Yes, very typical.

Your friend, Chaeryeong decided to bring you to her dance studio after school. You were never really into Kpop. You were more like a "Twinkie" who seems intimidating to others. However, you and Chaeryeong knew each other since forever, she knew the real you.

Sometimes, she felt like you just hanging out with her and her sisters is not enough. She wanted you to have more friends and join more activities but you just said it's fine. She was hoping bringing you to the studio will help.

Entering the studio, you sat down at the back.

"You're not going to join?"

You looked up at her. "Nah... I can't..."

"Well, okay. I hope you will change your mind though..."

"괜찮아..." (It's okay...)

She nodded and went to warm up.

You started scrolling your phone until you heard footsteps, and you looked up. A cat-eyed girl ran in, hands on her knees, breathing heavily.

"Hi... I... I'm sorry I'm... late-"

She looked at you and froze, with her eyes wide open. You started to worry, 'Is there something on my face? Do I know her? Oh my God-' Your thoughts were cut out by your best friend, "Oh right, Y/N, this is Yeji unni, she is from school. And Yeji unni, you know Y/N." She said with a smirk, the cat-eyed girl started to blush and looked away.

'Oh, she is from school.' You thought.

You caught her staring at you a few times through the mirror's reflection, she looked away quickly.

'Cute' You thought.

They started the practice when Chaeryeong's sister, Chaeyeon finally arrived. It was not the first time you see the Lee sisters dance, but Yeji, she is something else. The way she looked at you through the mirror when she was dancing gave you chills. It's like her glances can kill.

'Oh wow.'

When the practice ended, the four of you stayed because the Lee sisters suggested a get-to-know-each-other-more gathering. Well, they ordered chicken, you can't say no to chicken.

As you guys were waiting for the food, Chaeyeon suddenly pulled her phone out, "Have you guys listened to the latest Blackpink song yet?" 'Blackpink? As in black and pink???' The three of you said no. She signed and played the mv. It was like just Kpop at first, but when you listen to it the second time, you started to get addicted. The Lee sisters knew you way too much, "Y/N si, do you wanna learn the dance?"

"What- No-"

"We saw you nodding your head to the music, also the rap part!"

It's not a secret that you like raps but the girl with bangs just did so well and you're obsessed already.

"Come onnnnnnnnnnnn, you love to danceeeee."

Chaeyeon said and Chaeryeong pulled you up. Even though you acted like you didn't want it, you were glad your friends knew you that well. All of you picked your parts and started to learn the dance.

Chaeyeon saw you were struggling and got behind you to help you with the moves. Little did you know, someone was watching the both of you.

"Ohhhhh, okay. I got it now, Chaeyeon unni. Thank you."

"It's okay, haha." She said as she petted your head before hugging you.

Yeji watched with a pout, "Are you jealous, unni?" Chaeryoung teased. "Wha- No-" The cat-eyed girl got flustered again. Was it love at first sight? No. You were the "Twinkie" of the school which amazed her, you and the Lee sisters are best friends, it's hard not to notice you.

"They look good together..." She mumbled.

"THE FOOD IS HERE!!!" Chaeyeon screamed.

"Yah, unni! We're just right here." You said as you rub your ears.

"Awe, I'm sorry, my poor baby." She said as she hugged you and kissed you on your forehead.

Yeji pouted again, not knowing how to react. She wanted to get out of here and cry, but she can't. It'd be weird, and she wanted to get to know you. Maybe not as a love interest, but at least being friends would be nice. She held herself together and sat down on the floor with you all and ate.

Three had turned to four, now that Yeji knew that you and Chaeyeon are just good friends made her relieved. You four hanged out even during summer, and Yeji finally dared to ask you to hang out with her, just the two of you.

"So."

"Yeah?"

"Where are we going?"

"Oh right, sorry haha. We're going to the carnival!"

"Wait, really?" You've been talking nonstop about the carnival but the Lee sisters were just too busy to get there with you while Yeji wanted to impress you by showing you that she did listen.

She nodded.

"OH MY GOD, I LOVE YOU!" You screamed as you threw yourself onto her to gave her the best hug she's ever received. She hugged back softly, cherishing every second of it.

You and Yeji had grown extremely close in the past few months. The Lee sisters had been teasing the two of you being wives as you two weren't separated from each other.

"I think I'm losing my best friend to Yeji unni..." Chaeryeong said dramatically while having a hand on her chest, faking a pain. "I'm losing my baby too! Oh, this is so sad!" Chaeyeon said as they pretended to cry together.

"You guys... We're literally just here..." You said as you held Yeji closer.

"And you two are cuddling in our living room!"

"It's cold, and she is soft," Yeji said as she snuggled into you more.

"Get a room already!"

'These two... Aish...' Well, you love your best friends. Even when they tease you.

With all the teasing, this had made you wonder what would it be like if you two are actually something. It would be... Nice? It's quite hard to picture as you've never imagined anything like that. A few months ago, she was just the shy girl you didn't know, and now, she's one of your best friends that you're cuddling with on Christmas Eve.

"What are you thinking?" She asked and you snapped out of your thoughts.

"Nothing just got distracted."

"Awe, okay."

You wondered why she was so shy the first time you met her. And was she... Blushing? But that also brought you back to how she dances. How her body moved so smoothly, and those glances. They're just wow.

Was it love at first sight? Probably not, but you definitely had a little crush on her when you saw her dance.

These thoughts kept you up all night, wondering what would it be to date your best friend, holding hands, cuddling, and going out, as a couple.

It was the game season, Yeji invited you three to the game. You've never watched her play before so you were very excited. On the other hand, she was as nervous as hell. She wanted to impress you but she also didn't want it to be too obvious.

"You're gonna do great, I just know." You said to her with a smile before hugging her.

She really needed that kind of support at that moment, from her "future" lover.

"Y/N..."

"Hm?"

"Can I get something if I am the MVP of the season?"

"Sure, is there something in particular that you want?"

"Yeah, but I will tell you once I am the MVP."

She's always so determined, and you love that about her. It's one of her charms.

"Mhm, okay. Well, good luck!" You gave her a peck on the cheeks, not thinking about her awkwardness.

The cool air hit the baseball player's face yet her cheeks were still burning. 'But no, Yeji. You have to get your head in the game.' She thought to herself.

The day before the last game. She was practising hard. Seeing her so serious always amazed you in all the ways. You decided to bring her lunch as she probably forgot to eat due to being so focused on practising.

"Hey there, champ."

She stopped and looked at you with a smile. That smile you adore. So pure and just pure happiness to see you.

"Hey!" She said as she wiped her sweats away.

"I brought lunch!"

"Ah, this is why I love you more than the Lees."

It's not like they don't bring her lunches during practice. It's just someone who has a favourite.

It's the final game. Yeji tried her best to get as much point as possible. And her posture looked so good. Seeing her efforts really impressed you. You also started to wonder what was that something she wanted.

"Hwang Yeji! Hwang Yeji!"

"SHE WONNNNN Y/N!!!" Chaeyeon screamed.

You waved happily to her and she waved back.

You guys met at the changing room after everyone was gone.

"So, unni. What was that something you want? Is it a shirt? Or you want me to treat you-"

"You." She stopped you.

"It's always been you. I just want to hold you and kiss you as my girlfriend. I'm in love with you, Y/N."

Oh... That's why she acted so awkward sometimes...

"I mean I get it if you don't feel the same, but like I can't hold this any longer. Before actually knowing you, you were this cool kid that everyone secretly admired. But after knowing you, you actually have a soft side. A loving side. You're so much more than just your looks. I am so in love with you..."

"Yeji... I think I'm in love with you too... I love how you put so many efforts into everything. I love your smile and your eyes. I adore them."

She looked down after hearing that.

"Please never hide your eyes, I know how you feel insecure about them, but they're so pretty, so unique, so... You. You're you and I love you for that..." The two of you stared into each others' eyes, slowly lent in. When your lips touched, there were like fireworks inside your stomach. Your heart was skipping like crazy.

The kiss was soft. You pulled away and rest your foreheads against each others'. You both closed your eyes with a smile, just enjoying each others' company. Until one of you finally decided to break the silence.

"So... Y/N..."

"Yes... Unni?"

"Do you... Wanna maybe go out with me?"

"Of course I do!"

You hugged her tightly and she hugged you back. You still didn't let go for a while. "Y/N? Are you okay?" "Mhm" "We've been in this position for a while now." "I know." You held her as if it's your last.

Ensemble Stars! Event Story - Radiant ☆ Hot Holiday Party / Holiday Party

I’m back from vacation and finally ready to write about this event! Though unfortunately I didn’t get much time to participate much and thus missed getting my 660K reward this time TWT TWT (Bye bye Koga~ TWT) Sorry this gets so late in posting up, I’m still not used to writing long chunks of text after a long while~ (Have to do it in parts over the days)

But still, this event story was fun to write about and it was quite a heartwarming one and a nice way to wrap up the year with a new year party! (+ abit of doki doki moments? >///<) Even though it’s late wishes from me, Happy New Year!

As always, the summary of the story can be found below. Translation may not be 100% accurate due to my poor Japanese skills~

Prologue

Early one morning when Kaoru was going into the classroom, he found Chiaki squatting near the door and almost bumped into him. Chiaki, surprised that Kaoru was actually caring about him (when Kaoru was just questioning why he is squatting there ^^;), said that it’s rare that Kaoru cared for him since he was always all “I’ll help out girls who are in trouble but guys? No thank you.”

Kaoru replied that even though helping guys will not be a priority to him over girls, he’s not that heartless to not care about fellow classmates, and that makes Chiaki all happy that Kaoru actually treated him as a friend and went to hug him. But Kaoru started complaining that he doesn’t want a hug and will rather they have the distance of “normal friends” XD (And I used to think the two of them are like BFF when I read they are friends on the website last time, but apparently it seems like one-sided relationship from Chiaki most of the time ^^;)

The two of them went on talking about the aftermath of SS, and that even in the winter break, Trickstar still has lots of things to work on and thus, was still quite busy. Chiaki said he wanted to help out Trickstar and “me” even though he was from another unit, to which Kaoru suspected that Chiaki has “motives” for wanting to help out, suggesting that he may be using this chance to shorten the distance between him and “me”. Chiaki quickly dismissed the idea, saying that “our” relationship is not like this at all and wished that Kaoru would stop misunderstanding all male/female relationships as romantic instead. (How come I feel that Chiaki is one who would stop all rumours immediately when it comes to scandals… Its good but the way he dismissed it straight away feels abit like rejection to me ><”)

Kaoru couldn’t understand Chiaki’s perception either, saying that he finds it more amazing that a male and female could be just platonic friends. (I do kind of agree with Kaoru, but that’s because it’s quite rare. It’s definitely possible since I have friends from the opposite gender, though not a lot ^^;)

Chiaki went on to talk about the reason that he’s coming back to school on the winter break (Kaoru actually forgot it was winter break so he came to school for no reason XDD): To organise a “Bonenkai” (End of Year Party) for Ryuseitai to reward them for their year of hard work, especially because the guys did a good job at the Eve Eve Live and Starlight Festival. Chiaki initially thought a barbecue party will be good, but seems like it’s not suitable for Shinobu (who has a small appetite) and Midori (who doesn’t want to eat too much meat in case he grows big again ^^;) (Ahh…. The tastes of the Ryuseitai kids are hard to capture! ><”)So Chiaki now has a problem as he’s not sure where he should organise the Bonenkai that is suitable for Ryuseitai.

Kaoru suggested that Chiaki could go look for “me” since “I’m” a producer, “I” should know what everyone’s tastes are like and would be able to help to suggest a venue that’s suitable. However, they do not know where “I” was and “I’m” not contactable too. Even though Kaoru was glad that his distance with “me” had shortened over time (to the point “I’ll” praise him when he works hard and puts in effort), but he feels that it’ll be too rude to make a visit to “my” home to find “me”, and that “my” impression of him will drop to the bottom of the ocean if that happens ^^; (At least you know exactly where you stand Kaoru…)

In the end, the two of them head off to “my” classroom to search in hope that “I” might be there. (The way Kaoru calls for me always make me feel like he’s a horror game criminal, asking me not to hide anymore ^^;) Turns out luckily “I” was there, and after listening to Chiaki’s problem, “I” suggested a restaurant that even Kaoru agreed that it’s a good venue, even though he didn’t have the chance to really enter it as he has only heard of it when he was looking for good dating spots last time. (Oh Kaoru~ That’s how you do research~)

In the end, “I” ended up tagging along with them when Kaoru extended an invitation to “me”. He’s happy that he gets to go on a “date” with me, even though after that he amended what he said as he understood that it’s best to be friends… (Yeah right, as if Kaoru is not planning to move up onto romantic relationships~)

(Chiaki is too cute here being naive to the Kaoru’s “friendship” XD He even complimented that he enjoyed seeing the “friendship” blooming between “me” and Kaoru ^^;)

Chapter 1 - Chapter 2

On the way to the restaurant, Chiaki and Kaoru noticed that the new year decorations have already been put up onto the streets since new year is fast approaching. Kaoru doesn’t seem to have a very nice memory of new year, since his family is always very busy during this period of time, to the point even receiving money doesn’t make him any much happier (Then you should give your money to me Kaoru, I’ll be very very happy! XD)

Chiaki mentioned that he wants to improve himself in the new year, by changing his habit of hugging people since Kaoru sort of nagged him on it that him hugging even females will make Chiaki become unpopular XD (But Chiaki clarified it’s not that he wants to be more popular but because he kind of realised that it’s inappropriate to hug the opposite gender randomly ^^; I don’t know why does it take THAT long throughout his life to notice that…) He did warn that it’ll take a while for the habit to drop off though since it’s a habit cultivated by years… ^^;

The restaurant was great and so Chiaki was all happy ready to reserve… when they realised that there’s an MV filming schedule on the last day of the year, and so it’ll crash with the “Bonenkai” plans. Chiaki was disappointed and was planning to shift the date for the “Bonenkai” elsewhere when “I” said “I’ll” figure out a plan and asked him not to worry~ (I wondered too what is the plan though at the time of reading this~)

Chapter 2 - Chapter 3

Chiaki decided to gather everyone in Ryuseitai together to announce about the “Bonenkai” though at that time he hasn’t received any updates on how “my” plans would be regarding this matter.

Tetora thought it’ll be regarding a new work and was hyped and excited, as he hoped that it’ll be a “manly” one, but Kanata was feeling very stressed and didn’t want to work as he’s being banned from “submerging” for the time being. (It was freaking winter time and Chiaki said that Kanata might die if he ended up sleeping in the cold fountain water like how it was in the Eve Eve Live event story.) Midori got depressed once he heard “I” was involved, resigning to the fact it must be a new work…

And he got depressed to the point that he wanted to “fly” and went on to open the AV room window O.O” (Woah Woah… Why is Midori suddenly becoming suicidal?! OAO”) That made everyone panicked as Chiaki tried to calm Midori down by saying it’s not a new work so no need to get all depressed to the point of jumping because of it. (But I can definitely understand Midori’s feeling of wanting to slack and rest the rest of the year away… ^^;)

Just then, Chiaki received a text message from me, revealing "my” plans, which was to change the location where the MV to be filmed to the restaurant, so that we’ll be able to have both the MV filming and the “Bonenkai” together at the same place on the same day ^^ In fact, Chiaki was so happy to the point that he made a note that he shall hug “me” as a “Thank You”, and Midori has to remind him again that his hug will count as a sexual harassment XDD (Since I thought Chiaki you said you wanted to change this bad habit of yours!)

(It’s cute how Shinobu is all grateful to Chiaki thinking about all of them and organising this event and finding a place that suits all of them, and he went and jumped into Chiaki’s arms, giving him a big hug >////< Ah… That scene is so precious~)

There’s an additional note in the 2nd part of the text message which Chiaki missed out just now though, which is UNDEAD will be filming together with them on the same day at the same venue, and that “I” wished that the two units will get along together. Everyone seems fine with the arrangement, especially for Kanata, since he mentioned it’ll be a good chance to meet up with Rei again.

Chapter 4 - Chapter 5

Koga met up with Adonis at the cafe that Adonis usually frequent, so Adonis was feeling kind of uneasy and wanting to hide, to which Koga suggested him to hide behind him if he really feels that uncomfortable. The funny thing is Adonis was being too honest as he replied that even if he wants to, Koga’s won’t be able to hide him completely if he went behind him XD

The reason why Adonis was feeling uncomfortable, as since he’s a frequent customer of that cafe, he felt like he’ll be recognized straight away by the owners and he’s not sure what reaction he should give when they mentioned about Adonis bringing his friends over. (Turns out it’s not just Koga who is there, but also Kaoru too. Apparently the whole of UNDEAD are meeting there that day, but Rei hasn’t arrived yet.) (And seems like Adonis frequent this cafe so often that the owner will say “Blueberry parfait?” whenever they see him, I guess Adonis always ordered that XD)

Kaoru was just silently looking at both Adonis and Koga interacting with each other, thinking that they get along so well that he finds that he’ll be disturbing them if he intrudes ^^; (Kaoru can definitely join them if he wants~) He thought that his past self would have definitely checked whether he himself is having a fever since if it was Kaoru in the past, he would never had such thoughts about enjoying his time with his juniors (since they’re all guys), but somehow he likes how he’s feeling right now.

Kaoru revealed that his favourites are pancakes, especially with lots of maple syrup. Koga can’t stand it though as he doesn’t like sweet stuff, which is kind of a disadvantage to him as most of the food sold at the cafe are sweet ^^;

It’s nice that Koga is gradually having a better impression of Kaoru nowadays, as Kaoru has been attending lessons and practices, and also does his practices and work seriously. (Since Koga is actually a very hardworking person, it must have taken quite awhile to change his impression, since I bet he has always thought that Kaoru was a slacker… ^^”)

Their food arrived, and even though the pancakes are tasty to Kaoru, he felt that he’s missing someone who could have made the pancakes even tastier. And that leads to Koga misunderstanding that the person that Kaoru misses was Rei (since he hasn’t arrived yet), and thought that Kaoru likes Rei. (I bet the “like” Koga is referring was romantically XDD) That makes Kaoru pissed off since he dislikes guy so that misunderstanding just sounds so wrong to him ^^; He clarified that the person he misses was “me” since Kaoru feels that eating sweet treats with just a bunch of guys is just lacking, eating with girls definitely sound sweeter ^^;

Talking about Rei, guessed who appeared in a coffin right outside the cafe? Turns out that “I” was pushing the coffin that Rei was in all the way from the school to here, since Rei was still very sleepy in the day. The other members complained though, with Kaoru saying that it’s very not gentleman-like of Rei to get a weak girl pushing a coffin while he himself enjoying a nice nap in it, and Koga asking “me” not to be so nice to Rei since it’s not a girl’s job to push a coffin around. (But then I think it shouldn’t be anyone’s job usually to push a coffin around actually though…)

Kaoru tried to feed me a mouth of pancakes, but I’ve rejected him. (Aww… Poor Kaoru getting rejected again ^^;) Koga noticed that Kaoru tends to get more excited when “I’m” around. (Well Kaoru’s energy level increases or decreases depending on whether there are any girls around XDD) (But it’s nice that even Koga is willing to give a mouthful to “me” since “I” seems to be more interested in his pilaf rather than Kaoru’s pancakes XD)

Kaoru tried again to get “my” attention by asking “me” to sit next to him on the sofa (since the other side is quite squeezy with Adonis and Koga), but his advances got blocked by Rei as he invited himself to just sit next to Kaoru much to his dismay. (lit. ”No no, why is Rei sitting next to me? I called for “her”, not for a guy!)

It was initially supposed to be a meetup discussion talking about the day when UNDEAD is filming MV with Ryuseitai on the same day but turns out everyone is more into eating in the end. Oblivious Adonis is just dishing out food to “me”, asking “me” to eat more meat XD

Chapter 6

The two units decided to meet up at the restaurant venue a few days before the filming date, and it was decided that all of them will meet up outside the restaurant and then enter together.

Midori ended up arriving earlier than usual, and while complaining it’s cold and he wants to go into somewhere warmer. He found that Koga has already arrived and was even sneezing in the cold weather. However, Midori is quite shy in nature and was feeling awkward since he has no idea how he is going to communicate with Koga. (Seems like this is a recurring scenario whenever Midori meets someone new that he isn’t close with. The last time I read was with Keito right?)

Koga noticed him too and the two started to talk, with Koga mostly initiating the conversations (which greatly helped Midori). Funny how Koga keeps calling Midori ノッポ (which I went ahead and search what it means and it literally just means a tall person, similar to how we call a short person “chibi”). And poor Midori gets all sad since he doesn’t want to grow big in the first place.

Seems that Koga ended up being quite a nice guy, as he noticed that Midori seems cold, and went ahead to buy him a can of hot coffee to keep him warm when he himself is feeling pretty cold too. Midori got really touched by his actions since Koga is being a good senior taking care of him, when Midori isn’t even his unit member~ (My respect for Koga seems to rise alot after reading this part +W+)

The two started talking about “me” afterwards with Koga mentioning how “I’ve” pushed Rei’s coffin to the cafe, and turns out that was the same scenario that happened too later on when they saw “me” pushing the coffin with a sense of fierceness… (to the point that I’m giving out the aura of wanting to kill someone OAO”) The others gradually arrived too later on, and everyone went into the restaurant to have lunch~

Chapter 7

After a wonderful lunch, Chiaki got everyone’s feedback on how the food and venue is and seems like everyone is very satisfied with it! Thus it was decided that they’ll have the MV filming and Bonenkai on the same day at the same restaurant later on in the week.

Tetora was feeling that he lacks table manners as he expressed difficulty in choosing which utensils he should use. In the end, he copied from other diners and just use from outside to inside. (Good thinking there Tetora! *thumbs up*)

For Shinobu, everything seems to be new to him, from eating with people he doesn’t know too well, to eating at a restaurant~ (Seeing him so excited makes me just want to bring him out to enjoy all his “first times” exploring the real-life world~ <3)

Chiaki wanted to accompany “me” back to school as “I” still have things “I” need to settle there. Kaoru ended up tagging along too somehow, saying that it’s good that he gets some exercise after all the food. He made fun of being able to see “my” tummy though, which angered “me” (and even saying that fat girls have charms doesn’t work and even makes “me” angrier XD Why are you saying that Kaoru?! XDD) Chiaki is surprised that Kaoru is actually not in good condition (in dealing with girls) today as even Chiaki knows that talking about a girl’s weight is a NO-NO topic. (Kaoru you really should have known better, and here I thought you were an expert on girls… Orz)

Though Koga was worried that Kaoru is tagging along with “me”, but since Chiaki was there he thinks it’s okay to leave me in good hands. (If it’s just Kaoru and “me” Koga would stay and accompany me) In the end, Koga and Adonis decided to go walk around the streets together O.O” (How come that kind of sounds like a date suddenly? XD) Rei went back to sleep some more, and the Ryuseitai kids ended up all going over to Midori’s house (which was nearby) to hang out~ (I want to join them too~~ *Envy Envy*)

Chiaki, Kaoru and “me” finally arrived back at the school gate, but Chiaki stopped and doesn’t leave afterwards. Kaoru thought that Chiaki wanted to head into the school and tried to stop him, saying that students without school uniform aren’t allowed (since they can’t really prove that they are students from this school? … Isn’t there student ID?)

Turns out what Chiaki is staring at was a snowman outside the school gate. It seems to be missing something warm, so Chiaki ended up wrapping his own scarf around the snowman to keep it warm ^^ Kaoru actually compliments Chiaki, saying that he seems to be doing a good job being the justice side, which kinds of embarrassed Chiaki as he felt shy when he’s being complimented by his friend instead of him announcing himself ^///^

Kaoru wanted to go on a date with me as promised by me on “Howl” event. However, I seem to be very busy so there isn’t a chance to go on any dates… ^^;

Chapter 8

Finally, it’s the last day of the year~ Midori was glad that Chiaki actually arrived first this time so he doesn’t have to go through yet another trauma of talking awkwardly with his seniors, though Chiaki hoped that Midori would work hard to try to communicate better with others ^^

Midori is still quite good at dissing Chiaki though, saying that his stupid laughter would ruin the atmosphere of the restaurant (Ouch!)

UNDEAD was the first unit to start for the MV filming, everyone seems to be doing well though Rei questioned Koga’s motive for going all the way up to the audience during the filming, as it reminds him of a dinner show.

(Koga noticing Kaoru winking at “me” in the audience was quite funny as well, as “I” was waving excitedly back at him like how a parent would when visiting his/her child in class XD So Kaoru has become my son now? XDD)

Next up is Ryuseitai’s turn! As Chiaki was afraid that the members would get conscious and nervous because of the camera filming them, he suggested to them to look at the food they like while performing so that they would relax abit more.

Midori thinks it’s hard not to be conscious of the cameras when he already knew that they’re filming him, but during the performance, he started noticing Tetora is behaving much more relaxed and happy and wondered how he does that… until he found that he was staring at roast beef XDD But it’s good influence though since that leads to Midori being distracted from the cameras and noticing the omelettes instead +W+

Tetora is actually doing a good job leading both Midori and Shinobu during the filming, suggesting to them what they can all do together to make a fun performance using the plates ^^ (I can definitely feel that Tetora will make a great leader in the future~ +W+)

Chapter 9

Once the MV had finished its filming, it’s time for the Bonenkai party!

Koga started to reprimand Adonis for taking too much food since Adonis was afraid that someone is going to fight and snatch the food so he took alot to make sure he has enough XD (Poor Adonis, him fighting in the family for food with his sister must have given him such a strong trauma OAO”) When Koga told him that it’s a buffet so the food will be refilled if it runs low, Adonis thought he might have taken too much and wanted to return the meat back to the buffet table, shocking Koga (and me too… Returning food after you’ve taken it is a no-no, Adonis!) In the end, Koga was all too happy to teach Adonis some new table manners XD (Finally he has yet another chance to show his knowledge again XD)

Tetora is being appointed as the cameraman by Chiaki, and thus wanted to go around taking photos of the Ryuseitai members. He found Midori first, but Midori doesn’t really want his photo to be taken (since he said he already got taken alot during photo shoots =w=“), and instead wanted to blend into one into the wall. (Midori… stop trying disappearing acts TWT TWT~) He suggested to Tetora to go around taking photos of other members first, which leads to…

Them finding Adonis stuffing Shinobu with meat XD Shinobu started squealing that he doesn’t like meat that much and the amount of meat is too much for his liking that he won’t be able to finish it. Poor Shinobu, he does want to grow abit bigger and knows that in order to do that, he should eat alot more, but due to his small appetite, he can’t eat too much either D: (Personally I think that even if he eats alot, it’s not guaranteed that he’ll grow big and tall… Perhaps growing towards the horizontal direction is more possible ^^;…)

Continuing on from Shinobu, Chiaki can be found complaining to Kanata that he doesn’t want to eat eggplant when Kanata asked him to eat more vegetable XD (Chiaki and his dislike of eggplants XD)

Rei joined them and mentioned he was drinking a cocktail, which shocked both Chiaki and Kanata. Chiaki immediately puts up a front by saying no alcohol is allowed for people who are underaged (but Rei is not underage right…? How old is him anyway?), and was even prepared to fight him in order to stop him. Rei has to assure everyone that it was a non-alcoholic cocktail in the end to prevent himself from being punched XD

As it seems like everyone is busy, Tetora still thinks that it’s best to start taking photos of Midori first. Midori wanted to quickly get it over and done with by doing a simple “peace” sign to Tetora’s camera and wanted to slip away by saying “Bye Bye” already XD However, Tetora caught him back again and insisting that Midori needs to practice to get used to camera, and got him to take a “selfie/wefie” with him~ (So that’s how Tetora and Midori ended up with a photo together)

Epilogue

Kaoru ended up slipping away from the noisy party into the balcony area to get some peace and quiet, and “I” ended up joining him too as I was going on a break too.

Kaoru asked how was his performance today and was glad that “I’ve” praised him. Though for him getting praises from girls made him happy, he’s more grateful for the praises I had for him now since it’s from a producer’s point of view.

Since it’s almost towards that time that the third years are going to graduate, Kaoru talked about deciding his future, what he planned to do upon graduating. He mentioned about all his family’s kids will definitely go to university, but living like how his elder sisters and brothers… is not something he desires to be. But he quickly changed the subject, saying that he doesn’t want to be a downer and wanted to talk about something girls will like.

But that just makes “me” all shock and speechless, since “I” probably don’t really understand what he means. Knowing how naive “I” can be, Kaoru warned “me” not to be caught by bad guys, for example, someone like him XD (He said it’s hurtful yet he still nominated himself… Orz)

Kaoru talked about how much the relationship and distance between him and “me” had changed over the year, from initially “I” was always on guard towards him that seeing his face has “me” running away, to being able to talk like this face to face in close distance. However, he feels that “we” aren’t really friends yet, but he still felt happy about it since he thinks it’s best that “I’m” aware of him, though it still hurts if I dislike him.

Suddenly, it kind of switches into otome game mode (what am I saying, this is an otome game right? XD), where Kaoru started saying things like such “things” happening when a guy and girl are alone in the night, and asked to receive his reward for working hard… And the thing, “I’m” actually not rejecting his offer or resisting him O.O”

The mood got spoiled though, when Chiaki suddenly appeared while looking for us, and he got embarrassed since he’s caught in a similar situation again after what had happened in “Secret Acts” event. But somehow, even Chiaki sensed that something is off as what had happened is different from the atmosphere where I hugged Shinobu, as that was a heartwarming scene but this… doesn’t seems to be? OwO”

Chiaki wondered whether the two of us are in a relationship but felt the atmosphere was too embarrassing for him so he tried to excuse himself yet ended up bumping himself in the head XD (Poor Chiaki, he seems suddenly in a lost and confused mind upon “what” he has witnessed O.O”)

Kaoru teased Chiaki for panicking just like that and said it’ll be hard for him to get a girlfriend if he always panics over relationship skinship. (But Chiaki is very alright with skinship that’s not romantic relationships wise though…?) He even teased about the fact that Chiaki wanting a girlfriend making him a bento, to which Chiaki rebutted that’s his freedom onto what kind of dream scenario he wants, and got shy when he said he’s just very not used to such topics regarding romance. (Aww~~ Chiaki seems to have a shoujo heart but yet very naive about romance in general~ Guess he never actually think much about it when interacting with opposite genders? OwO)

Unfortunately, as Kaoru said, he and “I” aren’t in a relationship, and that he was only just showing “me” how he can be when he’s in serious mode, that he can eat “me” up if he wants to. (That sounds so…. sexually dangerous, Kaoru OAO”) “Me” realising danger, quickly hide behind Chiaki for safety, which reminds Kaoru of how it is like in the beginning again. He clarified that our relationship are just friends of friends, more like people who know each other but somehow it may drop to even below acquaintances after what Kaoru has did ^^;

In the end, all three of us decided to return to the party. But “I” ended up holding onto Kaoru’s hand, and feeling apologetic that “I’ve” made him seems like a bad guy again. Kaoru doesn’t mind it though and said it’s alright.

And… that’s the end?! No~~ Why does it end like this without letting me know what exactly did they do on the balcony? OAO” Now this will always remain as a mystery in my heart TAT TAT My guess is since Chiaki said it’s similar to what he saw last time, I assumed it’s a hug? But most probably instead of “me” hugging Shinobu last time, it’s more like Kaoru hugging “me” romantically? I wished they would reveal what it is some time in the future, so bad of Happy Elements to let me get so curious~ >////<

As much I’m still pretty much quite neutral to Kaoru (felt abit attracted to him but he’s really the flirty type of guy that I usually stay far far away from too ^^;), but this scene, really gives the feel that Ensemble Stars can be an otome game~ <3 (I do want to date all the members +W+)

Chiaki is really cute there with his otome side showing, and how “unlucky” for him to see such scenarios twice… Are they trying to get his jealousy side revealed or make him realised that he has feelings for “me” or something? XD (Cause’ sometimes that happens in otome games/shoujo manga)

All the members from both Ryuseitai and UNDEAD are cute and fun~ I do find myself quite fond of UNDEAD’s interactions with each other so with Ryuseitai, it’s double the fun for me to read all about them~ Really really really enjoyed this story for a number of reasons~ <3

PS: All that’s sad for me is I have no cards this time to show because I didn’t get any 4* card this time~ TWT TWT Maybe next time, when I try for the revival events when this gets posted up there~

WINGS

The Trailers

Begin I included the links here because I save myself time explaining what happened, and it doesn’t take long to watch them anyway!

“The realms of day and night. Two different worlds coming from two different poles, mingled during this time” - Hermann Hesse, Demian.

The two different worlds are the innocent, the good world and the dark, evil world. They are described in the book as the main character, Emil Sinclair, encounters evil in the way of stealing something under the pressure of another boy from school, Kromer. This is intensified by lying to his parents, ultimately leading to the mingling of the good and the bad in his own home. This is because he always saw his home as a blissful and innocent place. Where mother and father and his sisters would only practice honesty and good things. This was broken by him after he stole and lied to his parents, also lacking in school and becoming interested in the evil world he wanted to avoid so badly. Demian, the guy he meets and becomes interested in, shows him that the evil world might not be bad, because “If god made all the good things, he had to make the bad things too. So either god is both, good and evil, or as much as we praise god we have to praise a devil, too”. He reasons it with “We should praise and find everything holy, the whole world, not just one artificially divided half”

In the trailer Jungkook sees the burning piano, a connection to Yoongi, and a bird flashes before his eyes alongside a glass breaking. The bird is referenced in another trailer by Namjoon as well, meaning that the trailers all connect because ultimately, all of them are in the same situation. The bird is drawn by Emil Sinclair because its depicted on a sign above his house that he doesn’t quite recognise anymore because its old and was painted over several times. He sends the picture of it to Demian, since he uses painting as some kind of self-discovery method, who responds with what Namjoon will quote. “The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who wants to be born needs to destroy a world first. The bird flys to god. The god’s name is Abraxas”. The quote will be further elaborated on when it’s mentioned in the trailer, but just so you know the context of it.

Broken glass usually means broken expectations or disappointment. Since the glass is breaking in front of the bird it could symbolise that Jungkooks expectations broke, and so he was able to fly, like the bird. “Expectations“ in this sense is the thoughts Seokjin fed them, making them believe that they would stay together and be happy in their blissful innocent state forever.

“The time before sunrise is the darkest” is displayed. So after BTS has been going through their innocent times and now discover the evil they should at one point overcome this and proceed with accepting the evil since, as Demian said, both the good and the evil have to be praised and considered holy. He basically says this world needs both. And so does every human. So before you overcome the evil and accept it, it’s going to be bad. Because obviously you never encountered it before, coming from a state of innocence. Before you grow up, it’s the darkest. And for Jungkook it is dark in the room he is sitting in.

The painting he picks up looks a lot like Yoongi. But some also pointed out it looks like Taehyung or even another member. What I tell you is: It’s not important who it is. But it’s most likely Yoongi, seeing as it catches in flames and burns as Jungkook cries. However, it’s not important because in Demian Emil Sinclair paints a picture of a girl he saw once. He believed he loved her and wanted to keep the image of her. However, after a while he saw other people in the painting, eventually recognising it’s Demian he painted.

It’s a way of coping with himself, it’s a way for Emil to grow up.

In the End Jungkook hold the image of the bird. The bird is himself, the bird is everyone growing up.

“My parents house made up one realm. This realm was familiar to me in almost every way. Mother and father, love and strictness, moderate behaviour and school” - Hermann Hesse, Demian

The realm that is talked about is the good, positive world I talked about in Jungkook’s trailer. In LIE we can see the painting of a blue forest. The blue forest is symbolic for a pine forest, inspired by the Japanese region called “Aomori”. It’s called blue because of the blue appearance of the pines looking at them from far away. You might wonder what that has to do with BTS. If you look at HYYH: The Notes, Taehyung’s note from May 22, Year 22 states that they were walking by a pine forest, which was located at the sea they were at all the time. This is where he heard Seokjin on the phone, but that is a topic for later. The forest picture represents the time they were together.

Afterwards, Jimin is shown pictures (Symbols used in WINGS) as if asking if he knew what they were. However, he said he didn’t know them. Looking at the notes again, Jimin’s note from September 28, Year 20 he states that he was at the hospital and that it was the first time he lied. He told the doctor “I don’t know a thing”. The robotic hand might symbolise the doctor, and the first picture is the symbol at the end of Jungkook’s trailer. So he says he doesn’t know Jungkook. The second symbol was used in Jimin’s own trailer, so he doesn’t know himself or things associated with himself either, apparently. A card is then shown after Jimin is in his bed. It says “eva”. Another symbol that is taken from Demian.

In the novel, “Frau Eva” is Demians mother and is a symbol of parental, romantic, and self-love for Emil, which makes her a symbol of love altogether, no matter in what form. After the First World War breaks out, Emil meets Demian who delivers a kiss to him from Frau Eva. After that, Emil finally knows his path. He doesn’t need Demian anymore. Eva, in Jimin’s case, could be Hoseok as the pill reference afterwards is a clear sign for it as well as Jimin reaching out to an empty bed, swinging the pillow at it like he did with Hoseok in RUN. Also, the street sign that says 2.1km is a reference to Hoseok, who walked him home when they first met (Jimin’s note from August 20, Year 19).

You see Jimin falling back into the bathtub, into water like Taehyung did in RUN MV before. And we also saw Jimin struggling in water in the Japanese version. That symbolises uncertainty about the future - which fits with growing up because as you grow up, you will face uncertainty which in this case is Stage 2, the conflict between good and evil. Another very very obvious symbol is the apple falling into water, into uncertainty. The apple symbol is a reference to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. They are allowed to eat from every tree, apart from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Once again, evidence of them being in Stage 2 of growing up, especially since he takes a bite. Jimin standing in the water in front of the blue forest means he is still in the old days in his mind, but in reality he’s standing in uncertainty -> conflict. The white “walls” lifting up means that the pure innocence around him is now coming to an end, it’s getting darker. (Reference Jungkook’s trailer: “The time before sunrise is the darkest”)

“Show me the way, Stop me, Make me breathe”

“I’m locked inside of me, I’m dead”

Both quotes show a sign of despair and fear. Fear of the unknown, maybe even of himself due to the uncertainty. He then turns the camcorder to the picture, possibly implying to just keep looking at the past time in order to find out. The strikingly white walls could imply how fake the environment is, a fake world of innocence and good things that is long gone because he already surpassed Stage 1.

“It was the first fissure in the columns that had upheld my childhood, which every individual must destroy before he can become himself. Such fissures and rents grow together again, heal and are forgotten, but in the most secret recesses they continue to live and bleed.” - Hermann Hesse, Demian.

This means that everyone must destroy the innocence of childhood to truly become themselves. As you grow up, this seems to be repaired and you regain some kind of innocence, but truly, as it remains bleeding, you are never truly “innocent” again. But nevertheless, it’s a necessary step, because Innocence is Stage 1 and to grow up, you need to let go and proceed to other stages as well.

In the trailer Taehyung is seen vandalising, just as he did before with Namjoon. On the wall “Abraxas” is written and painted and Taehyung is trying to cross is out, it almost looks like he’s trying to stab it - a reference to Seokjin as we will see later. The light he shines in is green, to be more exact emerald coloured. Emerald is a colour that stands for youth. As we see with HYYH youth = innocence. However, Taehyung encounters evil as he is vandalising and arrested. This is his way of portraying the good and evil conflict. Taehyung already reached Stage 2 as well.

When his personal data is taken he is asked for his parents. He replies he doesn‘t have any. Parallel to this, he gets beat up while in his white coat. The coat represents him reminiscing his childhood, which is why the mother painting is seen in his eyes (presumably another indication of “Frau Eva” - the symbol for love in Demian) and he is beat up, symbolising his father. Evidence for hs father abusing him and not just his mother can be found in Taehyungs note from December 29, Year 10.

The empty phone booth represents Taehyung being alone, not able to call Namjoon this time as he did in Butterfly. The white puppy represents purity and innocence. It doesn‘t stay long with Taehyung and leaves when the bars come falling down over him. Just as in real life when the situation at home came crashing over him (as seen in the trailer) and he lost his purity. Him standing alone in black and white clothing and a glass shattering once again symbolises broken expectations - maybe about growing up, about his family, about himself.

“Here are only whales who talk wrong things”

He tells the officer to let him make one call in the end. Maybe he tries with Namjoon one more time.

“There are numerous ways in which god can make us lonely and lead us back to ourselves. This was the way he dealt with me at that time” - Hermann Hesse, Demian.

In the story, the quote is continued with “It was like a bad dream” and describing how sometimes, on your way to the princess (implying the end of a game) you can get caught up in dark alleys. “I can see myself: crawling along in my odious and unclean way, across filth and slime, across broken beer glasses and cynically wasted nights, a spellbound dreamer, restless and racked.” This sounds a lot like Yoongi, who seems to be stumbling across the street in the trailer, being lonely while at the same time accompanied by the ever reoccurring whistle of Jungkook. He also plays Begin on the piano. This is how he had become lonely, through being reminded of Jungkook the whole time. It seems like Yoongi’s way of being lonely was still being heavily connected to his past, making him hyperaware of his lonely present. The same goes for the piano that is burning and the car that is crashing into the shop. Everything reminds him of Jungkook and his mother, who died in a piano fire. (Yoongi’s note from June 25, Year 20) The whistling in the distance might symbolise his ever so troubling and busy thoughts (Yoongi’s note from June 15, 2022). The red scenery at the piano - Red is often a symbol for love and longing for something. The love doesn’t have to be a romantic love, but love in general. It shows that the piano place means something to Yoongi, itself stands symbolic for most likely Jungkook and his mother. Also, the bathtub appears in Yoongi’s trailer just before he runs to the shop. It shows that there is a connection to Jimin, as we will see in Blood Sweat & Tears.

“If I took another way or looked behind, would I be different now?” This quote is most likely connects to his mother. In HYYH The Notes Yoongi states that back then, during the fire, someone asked who’s still in the house, specifically even where his mother is. He said twice that there is no one in the house. Would he be a different person if he saved his mother? Would things have gone differently, would he still be innocent? REFLECTION https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzxjM-82RW8 “The other realm, however, overlapping half our house was completely different. A loud mixture of horrendous, intriguing frightful, mysterious things, including slaughterhouses and prisons, drunkards and screeching fish wives, calving cows, horses sinking to their death, tales of robberies, murders and suicides.” - Hermann Hesse, Demian. This quote can be found right at the beginning of the book. The comparison between the other world, the pure and good world, is obvious. The good world is his own house. He says “This other, second, world could be found all around [...] but not in our room, where mother and father were. And it was good that way”.

In dark lightening, you can see the container they stayed in during RUN and partied. It’s a throwback to the old times, but now overshadowed by the dark and troubling world. Namjoon receives a letter with the picture of the bird Jungkook put in an envelope. As explained in Jungkooks trailer, Emil drew this picture and sent it to Demian, unconsciously hoping for but not really expecting an answer. Jungkook sending this picture to Namjoon indicates that he searches guidance and answers through Namjoon. The bird that is drawn is a sparrow hawk who is coming out of a dark globe. It symbolises a young male finally coming free from the restraints of his parental home. Finally becoming more independent and willing to face both worlds, not just the familiar and safe one. Namjoon tattooing the image onto himself might mean that he wants to acquire the characteristics of the sparrow hawk. Hawks in general are a sign of strength and war. War fits, because Demian is playing at a time close before the First World War. For BTS, the war might represent the war between the good and the evil, once again just evidence for Namjoon having arrived at Stage 2, just like everyone else. He burns the picture, as it is not infinite on his skin and drops it into a drink, which he proceeds to consume. He collapses onto the floor, the drink made him weak. It’s unclear to me what the symbolism of this is, but I assume it has to do with the weakness that comes as you encounter the evil. The sudden mingling of those two worlds makes you weak, once again this could refer to the darkest time just before sunrise.

“I can see someone in the mirror” After this quote appears, things write out on his arms, like stories that are being told and mainly red, blue and yellow colours spread. These colours are significant in other videos as well, like Euphoria, DNA, FAKE LOVE. Once they have a clearer meaning, I will elaborate on those. Anyway, Namjoon looks at the mirrors that surround him, a sign of him needing to face himself and to see him as the person he is, not some made up conception he hopes to be. The mirrors crash and a red firework explodes. Fireworks are generally something positive, however, they bring joy only for a short amount of time before the sky turns back to darkness. This could exactly be what Namjoon is feeling. The colour red once again symbolising love and longing for something or someone. The mirrors crash and now, despite the myth of “7 years of bad luck”, broken mirrors are more likely to symbolise that the person who is in front of them (Namjoon) is not able to see themselves. A pressuring sound accompanies the scene and Namjoon closes his eyes and ears. It’s like the rest, they are stuck with the good times, but after all they are alone and have to confront themselves after a while. The phone rings in the distance and Namjoon runs intuitively. However, he cannot open the booth since it’s locked - he, and whoever is on the other side of the phone, are still alone. When the picture pans out “LIAR” is sprayed onto it - a clear indication to Taehyung having called him to save him from the police station. But Namjoon couldn’t pick up, he couldn’t save him like in the old times because both of them need to start relying on themselves. “Liar” because Taehyung’s expectations to Namjoon were shattered as seen in his trailer, symbolised through the broken pieces of glass.

Her gaze was fulfillment, her greeting a homecoming. Silently I stretched my hands out to her.” - Hermann Hesse, Demian. This quote is about “Frau Eva” that I talked about before in Jimin’s trailer. Frau Eva is Demian’s mother and he gives Emil strength, just like Demian does. But on top of that, she represents love to him - parentally and romantically, so just love itself. Knowing from the Highlight Reels that Hoseok lost his mother due to her leaving him from an early age, this fits as Hoseok lacks a motherly figure. This symbol is important for the end of the trailer. The doctor’s note board says that Hoseok has “Munchhausen Syndrome”, which is a mental illness that makes a person act like they have a certain mental or physical illness that they don’t actually have. The illness is connected to strong emotional difficulties.

It also says that Hoseok’s mood is anxious and (?), irritable. Thought process: illogical and retarded. The plan for him: Placebo. Placebo is a treatment that is mainly based on the expectations of the patient. It’s usually a non-medicine substance used (like sugar) but the patient thinking it will make it better often really makes them feel better in the end. So he takes a pill and everything goes crazy for a second, and something is flickering just for the tiniest bit on the wall.

To me it looks like two people, potentially Hoseok and Jimin. Which means that the placebo makes him reminisce his past as well. After he collapses he seems fine and he can leave the room he was kept in. That in itself doesn’t make sense, so it is assumed that he leaves the room in his unconscious state, as if he’s dreaming it and not really doing it. This theory can be supported by the fact that when he steps out, everything is stark white just like with Jimin. It has the same meaning, everything being fake.

“The sky is blue, the sun is shining”

Clearly a statement implying that everything is “fine”. It could indicate that the placebo worked. He takes a bite off of a chocolate bar, a symbol of his childhood and smiles while looking at the picture of the blue forest - the blue forest representing the pine forest they always walk by. The theory can be confirmed by the sea sounds in the background, proving that the picture represents the pine forest at the sea they were at. Hoseok already encountered evil but just as the rest, in his thoughts he is still in the innocent times, the good times. This is his conflict between good and evil. When he walks away from the picture, it changes. It changes to the same symbol of a mother holding a child, it is signed with “EVA” - see the theory about Eva made in Jimin’s and Taehyung’s trailer. It means that in the past with the boys he finds comfort, contrary to his conflicting feelings when looking at the time of Year 10 (Hoseok’s note from July 23, Year 10). “The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born needs to destroy a world first. The bird flys to god. The god’s name is Abraxas” - Hermann Hesse, Demian.

This is the quote I mentioned before. It’s Demian’s response to the painting of the bird. It means that the bird, so the young adult, needs to destroy the known things before he can move on. He has to destroy the world he knew in order to experience and grow from new things. In this case, looking at the stages again, in order to move on from Stage 1: Innocence, you need to destroy the innocent world you knew by taking a step outside of it. Everyone did this so far by encountering the evil. In order to move on from Stage 2: The Conflict between Good and Evil you need to accept that there is evil in the world and in your life, you need to accept it in order to destroy a conflict. BTS didn’t do this yet, and they won’t do it soon either. Seokjin is the reason for it which will be very evident in future videos. In the trailer, the apple in front of Seokjin once again represents the knowledge of good and evil. As I said in Jimin’s trailer, its a symbol from the garden of Eden, and they weren’t initially allowed to eat from it, they weren’t allowed to know about the good and the evil. There is an earpiece in his ear he takes out, it seems like what he is hearing is stressing him out and it could potentially be a symbol of running thoughts. He let’s the apple fall to the ground, saying he doesn’t want knowledge about the good and the evil. Notice how he is dressed in white from the part we see? Innocence. He wants to remain innocent. The flower he takes a picture of are white lilies - another symbol of purity. He captures them in a picture in an attempt to capture them permanently, because as everything else, the purity will die, the lilies will die. (annotation: everyone needs to die doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to die physically. In the case of the flower yes, but in the case of “everyone” dying can be seen as starting a new chapter in life. This is a theory called “initiation” where you experience death and rebirth throughout life. This theory is also hinted at in Demian, where a tree lying on the ground is described as “He isn’t dying, he’s waiting” meaning he’s waiting for rebirth, a new chapter in life) No matter how much Seokjin captures purity and no matter how much he tries to keep his innocence, there is a dark shadow falling over him.

“No dream” When we see Seokjin going into the room he mimics Yoongi snapping the lighter. He goes and sets the lilies on fire. What we notice now is that he isn’t dressed in white completely, his pants are black. Seokjin isn’t innocent, and neither is he evil. He is the incarnation of both, Seokjin is Abraxas, the god of good and evil. As I mentioned before, Demian says in the book everything, the good and the bad has to be praised. Emil is interested in this statement and seeks guidance from others and talks about this topic. He is taught about the god abraxas who embodies the good and the evil - god and devil. Abraxas is the figure Taehyung striked through in his teaser. When Seokjin walked into the room, the door was in scratches. It symbolises Taehyung as every member is symbolised in Seokjin’s room. It further supports Seokjin being Abraxas, because the scratches are specifically placed on his door.

While the petals burn, a symbol that is repeated numerous times throughout the whole series, Seokjin seems like he is dizzy and in pain. This is the first time we see how he feels after burning the petals. He opens the blinds and sees himself, but it’s water. Something rumbles. The water is like a mirror, reflecting him physically and spiritually. When he touches his reflection and it disturbs, he disturbs time as well, because obviously time isn’t reflected how it is anymore.

“We laughed and cried a lot, but it was all beautiful”

The quote talks about the times when they were still together. There are no further explanations needed.

After he burned the petals they are seemingly gone and he stands up to walk out of the door which is covered in scratches.  Doors in general symbolise an exit, obviously, a way out, apart from if they are locked, which isn’t the case for Seokjin whatsoever. Doors are also a common symbol of portals or a new beginning. Him walking out could indicate him walking out into a new beginning - for himself? Or possibly for the other members?  

What I think is that Seokjin uses the flower petals to manipulate time and to make things undone or change them. In INU everyone seemed like they were dying. Again, while it looked like a physical death it could have just symbolised a huge difficulty they faced at that time (Jimin - emotional instability, Hoseok - the need to take medication for something he presumably doesn’t have, Namjoon - no way out of poverty etc.) and the final loss of innocence as the „death” of Stage 1: Innocence. However, afterwards everyone seemed to be fine in Butterfly and also mostly in RUN - apart from Jungkook, which is important to know for later. Looking at Seokjin’s room, he possesses all the symbols of the other members’ trailers, which could conclude that he took those away from them in order for them not to encounter them. By burning the petals he changed the faith of the others, as we will see in its complete form in LY: Her Highlight Reels. The wallpaper of the floor outside of his room is covered with the symbol of Abraxas, another indication for Seokjin being him. At the end of the hallway is the bird picture. He leaves it and the the 6 polaroids are shown.

Each polaroid represents a member. From left to right: Namjoon, Hoseok, Jimin, Yoongi, Jungkook, Taehyung. The symbolism for each is explained in their own trailers. Again, capturing those in a picture might mean that he tries to make them infinite as the mirror is not broken, there is still a secure source of love for Hoseok, Jimin didnt bite into the apple, the piano isn't on fire, as well as the painting of the bird which is not a tattoo and the scratches of Taehyung are a reminder of when he rebelled when he was young. He wants these things to stay. And maybe he was able to make them stay. First Conclusion WINGS: Everyone surpassed Stage 1 of growing up and is currently encountering Stage 2. However, it seems like Seokjin, who symbolises Abraxas, doesn’t like it. That is because once they surpassed the stage of Innocence, their separation is inevitable in order to grow. Their days together are over once the evil enters their life, it’s a natural thing in life. Seokjin desperately holds onto their memories, which is why he tries to change their faith, he tries to prevent them encountering the evil in hopes of reuniting. Burning the flower petals is his way of travelling time, as is the window and the curtains, where he can see the faith the ultimately changed.

My top10 favorite korean albums of 2017

This year was filled with interesting korean music. I'll soon pick my favorite songs of the year but first I made a list of my favorite albums. Because there were so many singles released that I loved, both lists are bound to be different even if there will be some coincidences.

Honorable Mention. Red Velvet- Perfect Velvet For me, this album is the best Red Velvet has released. I just find this album to be complex and with the exception of Attaboy I liked every song. I thought the songs have a lot of layers. Apart from the title Peek-a-boo, Kingdom Comes and Moonlight Melody are a most listen.

10. Jonghyun-The Collection “Story Op.2″. I made this list before Jonghyun passed away so I struggled whether I should even mention him or maybe place him higher in the list but I think both things would be just a reaction to what happened. Having said that, this album is great. Lonely, the title, was a bit weak for my high expectations of Jonghyun’s music. Now the lyrics seem to have more depht than I first thought but maybe I’m just over thinking it. The songs are based on the stories he talked about in his radio show. Thinking back maybe he also wrote them because he identify himself with those feelings. Then again maybe that would be reading too much into it. Every song is worth listening to. Love Is So Nice is such a delight to listen but Let Me Out is a masterpiece.

9. BewhY-The blind star. For me BewhY is one of the most amazings korean rappers, when I listen to his flow I just find amazing how he creates the kind of rhythm I’ve only heard in american rappers yet he has his unique style. This album shows just that. The only song that I was not that excited about was 9ucci Bank which was the title. I just didn’t love the hook, Dok2 was amazing though. The stand outs for me were Red Carpet, Where Am I ft Gaeko and My Star. However the whole album is worth listening to.

8. IU-Palette. IU has broken all kind of records in sales and charts in Korea throughout the past few years. I've known of her for a while of course and to tell you the truth even if I think she has a pretty voice and enjoyed a couple of her songs I never thought she was that good. Why? Well outside of kpop the music I listen the most is indie/folk and that's exactly IU's style. So every time I listen to it I think it's pretty but nothing new. Without reading about her likes and dislikes in music I can tell she listens to a lot of what I listen to, people like Lucy Rose, Feist, Birdy and London Grammar. In Palette I still see a lot of those influences but there's definitely some interesting songs and the album has a cohesive feel even if she plays with different genres. Her title Palette is inevitably the best song of the album. Not only the lyrics are about being 25 and I can definitely relate but also the song is catchy and just when you begin to think is a bit repetitive GD does his thing and lifts the quality of the song. Love the artsy MV. In Ending Scene and Full Stop there's so much emotion in her voice that it's inevitable to pay attention, they kind of make me think they would be great OSTs. Can't Love You Anymore with Oh Hyuk has a more edgy feel.

7. Taemin-MOVE. This album starts with a bang and keeps surprising you with every song. I didn’t love the songs that were added for the repackage (they’re good, I just prefer the others) but for me the first version of this album is pretty much perfect. The pop, dance and r&b mixture in this eclectic album blew me away. Apart from the sexy chill single Move, check out Love, Heart Stop, Rise, Thirsty and Flame of Love.

6. Zion.T- OO. Zion T’s voice is so unique that it’s impossible not to notice. Of course I’d heard Yanghwa Bridge but didn’t get into Zion.T until this year. I really do think he’s a genius songwritter. Every song in this album has some element that feels new. The Song, the title, is just an easy to sing along song with a great hook that’s totally addictive. Cinema, The Bad Guys and Complex (ft. GD) are my favorites of the album.

5. Bobby-Love and fall. People who have followed me this year won’t be surprised by this choice because I shared my thoughts after I first listened to this album and I just loved it. I wish it did better on the charts. I still don’t know why it didn’t when the album is so good. BOBBY, who has done a heavy party hip hop style ever since his appearance in Show Me The Money, did a 180 for this album and showed a softer side. To a lot of people’s surprise it turns out he can sing and his voice is unique. What I’m most impressed about is his song writting skills. The whole album is amazing. My favorites are Runaway, Alien, Tandae and In Love.

4. EPIK HIGH-We've done something wonderful. This album took me by surprise. I always check out Epik High's stuff and it's always cool. I was once again expecting something great but I didn't imagine just how much I would love this album. Every song has amazing lyrics. They're hip hop is in most cases supported by great vocals (Lee Hi, OhHyuk, IU, Kim Jong Wan, Lee Suhyun and Crush). My absolute favorite song of the album is Home is far away ft OH HYUK. Here come the regrets ft Lee Hi, Love Story ft IU and NO THANXXX ft MINO, Simon Dominic and The Quiett.

3. GD-Kwon Ji Yong. I keep describing GD’s music just by saying “well is G-DRAGON there’s nothing else to say”. This album is only five songs, one is an intro, another is an outro so I know it’s weird to still put it in third place when there was so many albums that are so amazing this year but for me it still stands out. As expected every song is a bop but his title Untitled, 2014 is just the definition of a perfect ballad. The amount of feelings that song has is contagious. It’s even more impressive among the hip hop songs in the album. The other song I absolutely love in this album is OUTRO (Divina Commedia).

2. Zico-Television. Last year Zico had such a great year and this year was no different. Had a bunch of very interesting collabs but his mini album Television is just incredible every song is just so on point. I find Genius(Behind the Scenes) and Artist to be fun. Fanxy Child ft Fanxy Child is just cool and Dean’s hook is just too much to handle. She’s a baby is just beautiful (love the MV by the way). However is ANTI that blew me away. The lyrics, G. Soul’s vocals and that heavy beat left a big impression from the very first time I listen to it.

1. EXO- THE WAR: The Power of Music. I’m totally biased when it comes to EXO. I know that. I still can confidently say there’s not a weak song in this album. Every song has its own flavor but somehow feels like they belong in the same album. This album mixes pop, dance, r&b and hip hop. I love every song from THE WAR album and I can’t bring myself to choose a favorite: is Forever better than Kokobop? Is The Eve better than Diamond? Is What U do better than Going Crazy? Is Chill better than Touch it? However when the repackage came out things changed. Sweet Lies for me is head and shoulders above the rest. I loved everything about it. Boomerang and Power are also great addition to THE WAR thus completing the 12 track repackage called The Power of Music.

ik no one asked me but personally i feel like the ONLY reason why the light novels even exist is because eve originally wanted to shift focus off of rei and onto tobi in knk but didnt know how to do it properly without like messing up the story or something ( even though i am fully convinced eve does NOT have this stuff written down and is literally just making it up as he goes ) so he just decided to write a spinoff series instead thats basically like an oc insert au fanfiction for knk,,,

this is not to make fun of eve though i PROMISE,,, i feel like hes just like a little kid showing off his first ever oc hes made that hes totally obsessed with and were all just the parents and family members that just need to nod and go along with whatever hes talking about / aff / lh

Oks so first of all dw bestie I know you are not making fun of him I know you are voicing your opinion and I think you are right actually he’s showing off his angsty emo OC kdkekdkkd

Now the truth is idk about enough about the manga or light novel industry so I honestly can’t say how the novels came to be tho what you say may be right. To me it feels more like he wanted to do more with Tobi and expand more on him in knk but bc knk has a story that has to be followed there are some restraints of what he can show and where can he show it so yeh it would make sense to make a spinoff or a different series that can get into that. Like I said idk enough about the manga/light novel industry but I believe it’s cheaper to write them in novels rather than a manga so ig he had the opportunity and took it y’know?

As for the feeling of “Eve going along with whatever at this point” I agree completely with you bc i remember when the manga was first announced (yeh im that old I saw this shit come out) it was promoted to be a manga with Mah characters that’s why the Mah characters even appear in the first cover…this is speculation but I feel like they were supposed to appear earlier or something but were pushed aside in favor of Tobi THO it’s kinda complicated to say bc rereading Nagi’s arc i noticed that, even if there’s some inconsistencies in it, it feels like there was some planning and feels for the most part cohesive. I remember I complained a lot back in the day about it bc it didn’t make sense but now that the arc is completed it does! The current arc tho….I’m not so sure like it makes sense too for the most part but so far so many things are left unexplained that it makes me wonder if he really wrote down at least some of it or if he texts Newo at 2 am to tell them the idea he had so they can draw it 😭😭😭

The time line is kinda messed up to me it’s been 3 years after all so if someone can help I would appreciate it very much, anyway my theory is that yeh Mah characters were meant to appear earlier and that Tobi was actually meant to be a character early on too but just got way more popular than Eve expected. Going back to the time line knk was released on April 15th 2020 and Tobi appeared a month later on May 15th 2020 HOWEVER the int MV came out exactly 7 days after that chapter on May 22nd 2020…so like I said I could have the time line messed up bc it’s been years but like i remember that chapter coming out and me and a lot of people being excited about him appearing but technically his MV wasn’t out yet like I feel we all knew him and that so I wonder if it was bc around that time Eve started to promote him a lot? I know that the reason why int even exists is bc Mariyasu made a mini MV of the song I think and people liked it so much both them and Eve went with it but yeh…just wanted to point this out bc if it was popularity based if they put him bc the MV was insanely popular then it would make more sense that the character of the MV came before the one in the manga and that the MV’s influence put him there but he came before??? Idk besties if someone can help me with this one…

Anyway yeh I just feel like Tobi got too popular and was the one appearing in fanarts, official arts, merch and all that stuff and with time Eve just…probably started seeing him in a different light and started caring for him more. Like I said idk anything about the manga industry but I also think that when it comes to Rei it has to be harder to do something with him bc I assume the magazine has some ownership over him I feel Eve can’t use him as freely but that also wouldn’t explain the Tobi case bc even after knk and the int novels came out that could put some restraints on his usage he still was marketed as he always has been so…I really don’t know all I know is that most we have on Rei that is not knk is a few promotional drawings made for the magazine and that one drawing Taiga did for the app that was just dropped there and disappeared into the ether when the app died

It’s really sad bc Rei as a character has potential…we could had a soft boyo that the more he learns about his missing memories and the more fucked up things he experiences the more he changes as a person and the more he loses himself. The very famous phrase “find me before I eat myself” from int I always interpreted it as “find me before I lose myself” and like idk how to explain it but it fits not only Tobi but Rei too???? Like it works???? The fact that his memories are fucked up and his past is fucked up and everyone he loves is getting fucked up is perfect to use in this concept and Eve is not doing anything with it. Like literally Rei has no personality other than being friends with Yukito, not knowing shit about anything and lowkey not liking Tobi that much and like that’s all I can think about him and it frustrates me! He can be more! He can do more! But no! It’s just Tobi! It’s only Tobi!

Anyway I won’t make this any more longer I think I ranted enough so yeh you are completely right anon he just likes his angsty emo OC a lot and we’ll have to nod and go along with it

1. serendipity - bts (jimin)

this...was so beautiful i remember when this came out ! i was so happy and surprised?! also my boy...! the first vocal line member with the intro 😭😭 this song is truly great and the video is so pretty all of it really makes you feel... emotions

2. eclipse - loona (kim lip)

i’ll never get over this song ! i didnt listen to it till july i think? and everyone always had that one picture of kim lip with the circle of light thing around her head everywhere and would talk about this song and i was like huh ... but when i did listen to it i UNDERSTOOD. right when shes like..i feel sparks.... wow.. easily one, of if not my favorite song from 2017 the sound is a sound i LOVE and like this is a song for the gays the frequencies are for our ears lmao. the video? beauiful. kim lip dancing solo in that place? revolutionary. her outfit she’s wearing when she’s dancing with her backup dancers the black one piece one ??? fashion icon. her voice was so ..pleasing to me. everything about this was truly 👌🏼 exquisite.

3. im serious - day6

i didn’t really get into day6 this year 😓 and i know they relased every month and i did listen to more of their songs but something about this one i really loved more than the rest. i don’t have much to say about this other than i really loved this song a lot its a really fun easy going ..kind of song i guess ? the music video was nice too theyre like on the beach ☺️ fun summer times

4. palette - iu ft g dragon

this song !!! i heard good things about this when it came out and then iu did gd’s rap in the live stage and i was like wow ....queen. this song ..again ! is so beautiful and it makes me cry ?? fkc 😭 idk it makes me feel better but also sad and gdragons verse is cute to me too when hes like i just turned 30 idk lmao its a very pleasing song really really nice the music video is cute (again lmao) the lyrics are really nice

5. red flavor - red velvet

did they perform this first at smtown concert ?i can’t remember but thats where i first saw this and UM ! immediate fav red velvet song (okay well idk if its my fav fav but it’s my fav title track at least) idk its just so ??? fun ??? and people say it sounds like a back to school commercial lmao but 😤 its so happy and like a perfect summer song like i was really happy about this song its so :~) fresh

6. baby don’t like it - nct 127

please...the best song. this has everything i wanted....mark..taeyong... haechan doyoung and taeil ! i cannot remember listening to this at all i just remember my life ..i leveled up ! its honestly one of ...if not my fav 😆 nct song listen its not bad at all idk if anyone says it is but im just letting u know... i thought i loved mad city but baby dont like it obliterated that ty & mark duet (?) like its dead and GONE this song and the lyrics are an experience lmao thanks taeyong also um doyoungs angelic lil solo part ? i can hear god

7. my first and last - nct dream

hmmm when did i listen to this 🤔 maybe like in may or smth idk i just now i was late because like ? i didn’t really care to listen ...BIG MISTAKE this is such a good song lmao thanks children the choreo is so cool ?? like theyre legends !

8. gashina - sunmi

please!! i was excited for this bc like...wonder queens i love you um i listened to it a little late though i think? and at first i was like..uh...hm BUT i love this song so much sunmi u are my queen also every outfit she wore ? iconic

9. week - chungha

ahhhhh :”( this is my favorite song of hers it was so ..AGAIN beautiful but really its so calming and soothing...lmao and some ppl were asking for a pop song when this came out i think? but like >:( appreciate this lovely song please ! also just we need chungha to be successful 💫💞😘 also i just wanna mention the why dont you know performance with taeyong....yea

10. dont wanna cry - seventeen

okay kings ! lmao i didn’t expect this from them :o as a title ... i havent stanned seventeen for a long while already and their last couple comebacks/ title tracks i didnt care for ? so i was like not gonna listen to this or smth sdjkhas and i think my friend played it for me or i listened for her smth idk but this !!! also this is so sad 😭 just what i like & seungkwan @ 1:49 (and 2:32) ... the EMOTION ! i was really surprised with this tbh and its such a good song

11. signal - twice

idk how anyone can hear this song and say its bad no offense... it’s so good and the dance is good...queens i listened to this a lot more in the first half of the year then kind of forgot about it rip... but i loved it so much like its so funnnlisten its not their worst title track !!!! its one of their best !!! ..me about all (minus 2..) their title tracks but like...trying to let u know !

12. happy - wjsn

i liked this a lot more than i wish... so i was very... :~) happy. this song is relly good idk what to say...thank u space queenies for branching out and inventing happiness on top of astrology and space. their lil pompoms...they also invented those ...ngl ive read the lyrics multiple times and i think they confuse me. but lmao this is such a good song its really fun also did eveyone see them perform cant get you out of my head....legends

13. spring day - bts

A SONG. this is one of the most beautiful songs...and that live stage...UM !!!! every time i hear this song or they perform it....wow...... im crying as i type really hm i think at first i kinda was enjoying not today more ? but then the live stage really changed THAT...we dont deserve her also hobi singing in the live versions !!! we’re blessed ...when tae says ..youre my best friend...i felt that

14. move - taemin

STOP ! when i saw taemin was coming back i was like oh...cool... cool but i didnt watch the mv kJHDSJK BUT WHAT I DID SEE was people were posting him performing...ON THE RUNWAY...I WAS LIKE WHAT THE HELL ?! levels man levels.. anyways so i was watching the clips and WOW ... A SONG the dance versions he released that was really cool and i saw a lot of posts about him talking about the song n stuff that were rlly cool too.... imma stop there ! his little leg kick is iconic
