When you think about it the memory crypts by concept alone are like a graveyard, and the cabinet beasts are like some kind of tombstones. Lifeless tissues manipulated to contain the memories and experiences of beings far gone, in ways that we are unable to fathom. Well the last time I checked graveyards didn't have giant scissor birds protecting large plant like beings with the qualia of the deceased, stuck in cabinets. But there is still a comparison to make, like graveyards the memory crypts are a grim and dark mark on the world, a constant reminder that even the cycle is not eternal, since the ones once roamed the world found a way to depart from it, leaving stories and memories never to be experienced again, inserted into bio-engineered tissues purposed to this and this alone. Perhaps the cabinet beasts vividly dream of it, the same life over and over again, but I highly doubt it. They are like the physical bodies of those who ascended in a poetic way, since while ascending there isn't a body left behind, but their earthly possessions are. Maybe it was their way to store memories of specific individuals, knowing well after ascending that only their superstructures and the leftovers of their civilization will be left, a general look on their culture and accomplishments as a civilization but not enough detailed about their day to day lives. So they left physical traces that are even not part of their own, with the memories of faceless individuals, in hope to bring their memories to rest but not entirely forgotten, placed in grey boxes scattered around, like tombstones. Buried under the shadows casted by one of their greatest achievements, where they used to live before.

are people seriously not understanding that the whole point of colin's arc this season is him trying to be something he's not??

like sure the brothel scenes are a little weird and jarring but like they're meant to be??? because he's not actually that into it, he's just trying to do what all the other men his age are doing so he can fit in??

the writers aren't trying to 'turn him into anthony or simon' or make him a rake because that's what we're used to - HE'S trying to turn HIMSELF into anthony or simon or basically any of the other guys who this comes naturally to; who enjoy sleeping with lots of different people somewhat emotionlessly and don't get lonely because of it (and no judgement to that it's just not him)

he literally kisses Pen ONCE and absolutely loses his mind over it because its obviously never felt like that for him before. that moment is his 'oh so that's what that's supposed to feel like' moment and that's how he knows he's in love with her its literally so good???

i understand people feel like its rushed but honestly to me it feels perfectly in character for him to discover the solution to his loneliness he's been searching for all this time and immediately dive into it headfirst. that moment right at the end of ep4 where he asks her to marry him is the most authentic colin i think we've seen all season. he's sweet and funny and playful and passionate and impulsive - he's finally stopped trying to be someone he's not and now that he knows who he is and what he wants he's all in.

for some reason i haven’t seen a SINGLE person talk about the fact that Daisuke was in Swansea’s bed when he had to kill him. Swansea put the kid somewhere where he thought he’d be comfortable & that he could keep the most convenient watch over him until he had to kill him.

If we want to look into this further, you could also tie it to Swansea’s death and how he effectively severed any form of rest or peace for himself by having Daisuke’s body lay in his own bed, serving as a reminder of what he’s done in possibly the only place he could have gotten rest.

I think it’s funny but also very wholesome that Josh Hutcherson was open about how he’s bicurious/flexible.

This moment always shutters me to pieces like you just can see on his face that he knew what's gonna happen to her and he got so worried by that knowledge that he would lose his last dear person to him, a person that was by his side since his childhood and he just can't do anything about it. It's so sad...

Like during this moment he sees that no matter what he does or says she wouldn't obey his order and would do like she wants and he just let's her go with quite heartbreaking expression.

And even later on when she was already gone Gilgamesh calls out to her just out of habit but when he remembers that she's not with him anymore he tries to change the subject and be as nonchalant as possible.

And when Fujimaru and others are trying to ask him about Siduri he at first avoids the subject but then gets irritated and defensive when he gets pressured.

And it's basically the same reaction that he had when Hakuno tried to ask him about Enkidu.

At that moment he felt the same feeling of guilt for not being able to save a dear to his heart person once again.

And still after all these years he still remembers her fondly and no doubt he misses her as well, just as much as he misses Enkidu since Siduri took quite an important part in Gilgamesh's life

Standard shonen endings have rotted some people's brains. I've seen so many dudebros disappointed that Izuku didn't at the very least "bag his girl" as some sort of reparation for losing his quirk. And so much Ochako slander for "ghosting" Izuku for 8 years for being quirkless (not true btw, leak mistranlastion) because she wasn't explicitly Izuku's endgame love interest in typical shonen fashion. I even saw a tweet doing crazy numbers (70k+ likes) suggesting that Izuku should've gotten with Hatsume because at least she spent 8 years working on his suit....? Ask yourself why you feel like Izuku needed a canon love interest post-time skip to be happy. And then ask yourself why you hate women and view them as the MC's "much-deserved" reward for saving the day.
