I think stepping into an actual church is ok, it's basically a big stone house but the stones are very fancy. Touching the actual artifacts are what would be harmful though, like the holy water, icons, crosses and anything silver ! Then again it's a mythical creature and it's story is open for any interpretation really :)

Machete could never be anonymous he's so uniquely pointy. Like for real no one else is drawing dogs like him. His snout looks like it came from a gargoyle of some kind and not Generic Dog Artist #7 and i mean this in a very very positive way. He's really distinct and that's a big part of why I like him so much

The Black Smoker Beast can be found roaming the spreading ridges in the depths of the oceans. Hydrothermal vents support a lot of life, so I wanted this creature to look a bit more friendly than my other geology monsters! The enormous, chimney-like structures are absolutely awe-inspiring and I hope I did them justice. I really wanted the beast to have such a chimney for a shell, and gave it the iron armour and red skin of the volcano snail, and white/red whiskers based on the tube worms that make their home at black smokers. Lots of fun again painting with acrylic inks.

the side windows look to be adam and eve. adam’s getting his junk yanked on by a demon, which reminds me of the priest michelangelo had beef with who gets his dick bitten by a snake in the sistine chapel’s last judgment fresco (which I included to the left here lol)

big dragon satan in the middle looks like he has a bat winged pope atop his head. unclear exactly which one because of the resolution, but I would have to assume it’s popia since he’s not really featured on the other stained glass, and because of the dracopia costume. the old stained glass was a memorial for papas past. this stained glass is a monument to popia’s greatness. look at what he can do with the power of a fuck off huge satanic dragon by his side!!!

Seville Cathedral rooftop tour, was the best tour and Jose Marie did a splendid job. This was once a mosque the Muslims built out of brick in a octagon shape. After many years of ruling the Catholic and Jewish population went against them and the tide of time changed to catholic rule. An earthquake happened so they tore down the mosque and built this cathedral. The cathedral's construction started in 1401. It is the largest gothic cathedral in the world. It took 70 years which is quick for back then, not that it was completely finished. They are still working on the decorations of the inside. Did you know that the gargoyles are drains? When it rains they let loose all that water that is pooling up on those roofs. We went to many parts of the rooftop, climbed many different staircases. I see the cathedral in a different light.

The rooftop tour is only about 20 people at a time and only done a couple of times a day, so you must book in advance. This was one of the best things that I did on my vacation.

Niche observation perhaps but, does Leo give anyone else major Jesuit vibes? He is clearly Catholic coded (at a Catholic cathedral) and wears a clerical collar but does not go by 'Father' or any other ordained title. (He's clearly not a seminarian at this point in his life.) Jesuits tend to be the only ones I know who do this - but that's very much an American thing I think.
