The Next Step
Ingrid Engen x Mapi Leon
Mapi sat on the balcony of her apartment, staring out at the Barcelona skyline. Normally, this view calmed her, but tonight, her thoughts were anything but calm. She had been with Ingrid for three wonderful years. Three years of laughter, love, and building a life together. She knew Ingrid was the one—she’d known it for a long time.
But proposing? That felt monumental. What if it was too soon? What if Ingrid wasn’t ready for marriage? The fear of rejection gnawed at her, no matter how much she tried to shake it off.
“I need advice,” Mapi muttered to herself, pulling out her phone. She fired off two messages: one to Alexia Putellas and the other to Esmee Brugts.
---
The next day, Mapi met Alexia at a cozy café near Camp Nou. Alexia, ever the team captain, got straight to the point.
“So, you’re finally doing it,” Alexia said with a grin, stirring her coffee.
Mapi sighed, leaning her elbows on the table. “I think so. I mean, I want to. I’ve wanted to for a while. But what if it’s too early? Or what if she doesn’t want to get married at all?”
Alexia raised an eyebrow. “Mapi, you and Ingrid are soulmates. Everyone can see how much you love each other. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.”
Mapi hesitated. “Still, what if I mess it up?”
“Keep it simple,” Alexia said. “Do it somewhere meaningful, somewhere private. You know Ingrid—she’s not about flashy gestures.”
---
Later that evening, Mapi called Esmee. The young Dutch player had become like a little sister to both her and Ingrid.
“You’re really going to propose?” Esmee asked excitedly. “Finally! I’ve been waiting for this.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Mapi said, laughing nervously. “But do you think Ingrid even wants to get married?”
“Are you kidding? She adores you,” Esmee said. “And you’ve been together for three years. That’s not rushing anything.”
Mapi smiled, her confidence growing. “Okay, so where should I do it?”
Esmee thought for a moment. “You’re going on holiday to Portugal soon, right? Do it there. Somewhere beautiful and private. Maybe at the beach?”
Mapi nodded slowly. “Yeah, that could work.”
---
A week later, Mapi and Ingrid arrived in Portugal for their much-anticipated vacation. They spent their days exploring the charming streets of Lisbon and relaxing on sun-soaked beaches. Every moment felt perfect, but Mapi’s nerves grew as the day of her planned proposal approached.
On their second-to-last evening, Mapi suggested a sunset walk along a quiet stretch of beach. Ingrid happily agreed, her hand slipping into Mapi’s as they strolled along the shore.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, Mapi stopped. She took a deep breath, her heart pounding.
“Ingrid,” she began, turning to face her girlfriend.
Ingrid tilted her head, her expression soft. “What is it?”
Mapi reached into her pocket and pulled out a small box. Dropping to one knee, she opened it to reveal a simple but elegant ring.
“I’ve known for a long time that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You make me better, you make me happy, and I can’t imagine a future without you. Will you marry me?”
For a moment, Ingrid was speechless, her green eyes wide with surprise. Then, tears filled her eyes as a radiant smile spread across her face.
“Yes,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “Of course, yes!”
Mapi slipped the ring onto Ingrid’s finger, and they embraced, the sound of the waves crashing around them.
---
The next morning, Mapi posted a photo on Instagram: the two of them on the beach, their hands intertwined, with Ingrid’s new ring prominently displayed. The caption read: She said yes. My forever.
The comments section exploded almost immediately.
Fans from around the world flooded the post with congratulations, their joy palpable. The women’s football world buzzed with excitement over the engagement.
---
When Mapi and Ingrid returned to Barcelona, they were greeted by a surprise. Their teammates had organized a celebration at a local venue, complete with decorations, food, and even their parents in attendance.
Mapi’s jaw dropped when she walked in. “You guys didn’t have to do this!”
Alexia grinned, raising a glass. “Of course, we did. It’s not every day we get to celebrate a León-Engen engagement!”
The night was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and plenty of dancing. Ingrid’s parents beamed with pride, while Mapi’s family embraced Ingrid as one of their own.
As the party wound down, Mapi pulled Ingrid aside. “I still can’t believe you said yes,” she said teasingly.
Ingrid laughed, wrapping her arms around Mapi. “How could I not? I love you more than anything.”
Mapi kissed her softly, her heart full. She knew this was just the beginning of the next chapter in their storya story of love, commitment, and a future they couldn’t wait to build together.

Prompt: Rat | @moonwater-microfic | Words: 562
"You can't tell anyone, Remus," he implored.
Remus nodded, growing concerned. He could count on two hands the number Regulus had called him by his first name in the time they'd known each other, and each time it was always something quite severe.
"Are you okay-"
"There's a rat in our common room."
Remus stared. Whatever he was expecting… it wasn't this. Surely by fourth year Regulus knew people brought pets with them.
His bewilderment must have shown in his expression.
"It's none of ours, it just comes in and snacks on crumbs, or lurks in corners. It's disgusting. I swear it came up on the train or something. It makes me want to-" He mimed something resembling vomiting.
Remus shrugged lightly. "Maybe it's Peter."
Regulus' eyes widened, before his face broke into a grin and he was engulfed in unusually raucous laughter. It was moments like these that Remus could see him and Sirius for the brothers they were; their shared laugh. Not that he'd tell them that.
"I can't believe you," Regulus said, composing himself again. "Why would you say something like that? I thought you were friends."
"We are," Remus agreed. "But really, if you're worried about it why not… feed it to a snake, or something?" He paused at the expression on Regulus' face. "You don't like rats, do you?"
"They remind me of the basement at home. I only went down once but the door-" he shuddered, visibly paling. "No, not a fan. Anyway, where am I supposed to get a snake from?"
Remus' brows rose. "You mean you really don't have a pet snake in your common room?"
Regulus blinked. "Why would we? I mean, do you have a lion?"
"Of course not, but then my house isn't called Roarin either. I just thought-"
"You're an idiot sometimes." He'd file that away under his very short Slytherin love language list.
Remus' lips quirked. "Get a trap, and we'll take it out into the forest. Or give it to Hagrid."
Regulus began to look uncomfortable again. But then, resigned, he nodded. "Fine. I suppose I'd better go. Got an amateur extermination business to plan, apparently."
"Amateur?"
"I'll call myself a pro when we've got rid of this one."
"Well… try not to kill it." He turned to walk away.
"Why not?"
"Just… don't. For me."
His heart skilled at the softness in Regulus' eyes as he turned to look back at him. "Why would I do anything for you, Lupin?" Ah, back to Lupin again.
Remus grinned, "Because I'm an idiot, remember?"
Two hours later, Remus was back in his own common room again still reeling in the memory of the way Regulus' face had collapsed into a free, soft laugh. It was beautiful, there was no other word for it.
He'd barely put a foot on the step up to his dormitory before he heard the voices coming from above.
"-BROTHER TRIED TO KILL ME, SIRIUS! Fucking hell James, I'm not doing that again. Next time, one of you sneak in."
"I'm pretty sure they'd notice a giant stag- Hey, Remus. You're back. Pete nearly got snuffed-"
"I told you to wait 'til he wasn't there. Regulus always hated rats."
"Moony, next time you see your boyfriend-"
Remus sighed. Maybe he should have said please try not to kill it.
He really was an idiot sometimes.

DPxP5 - Skin-Deep Beauty
Ann has always been hyperaware of how people look at her.
Disapproving looks from teachers and peers. Smirks and ogles from boys. Jealous glares from girls. Stares from Kamoshida. Curiosity from Ren. Worry from Ryuji. Admiration from Yusuke.
She wasn’t naive enough to think that Amity Park would be much different. So walking through the halls that first week, she doesn't pay them much mind.
The nerdy crowd in awe. The jocks scouting their new ‘prey’. Double-takes from just about every underclassman at the school.
Most of it is due to her odd company - turns out the son of a family of ghost hunters, a hardcore eco-goth, and a self-proclaimed lady’s man/tech geek have a bit of a reputation. All outcasts in one way or another. Something that she and the others from Shujin easily connect with. They decide to stick together as a band of seven by the end of that first day. And eventually, eyes fall off of them.
Only one crowd was unfazed by her company - or rather, incensed by it. The popular girls - or the 'A-listers' as Sam liked to call them, with all the sarcasm and derogation she can muster.
From what she's said, they’ve barely calmed down since freshman year. Cheerleaders, dating the bullying jocks, obsessed with their looks and new trends, catty and shallow bullies in their own right… They're walking stereotypes, honestly.
And Ann can feel the insecurity in every glare. It’s almost comical.
Still, she barely gives them a passing glance. And advises Sam to do the same. After all, she's dealt with worse.
A comment that gets a look of curiosity and concern to her host sister's face, but she doesn't press the issue.
Eventually, Ann is caught by herself at her locker before lunch one day. And approached by the little clique.
“Heeyy~! Ann, right?” The head of the group of girls - Paulina - calls over, her tone sickly sweet. "You should totally sit with us at lunch today!"
Ann gives the girls a polite smile. “Sorry, I promised to sit with my friends today. Maybe tomorrow-?”
“You’re joking, right?” That blunt interruption makes Ann pause, her polite smile dropping a bit. “Those losers are your ‘friends’? Come on, you’re way too good for them.”
Ann’s expression twists a bit. “Excuse me?”
Paulina chuckles a bit. “No, I get it! New school, new people, new country - you don’t know how things work here! So let me tell you; you’re settling for the bottom-feeders. I mean, what can they give you that we can’t?
That gets her to scowl, a spark of anger in her eyes as she turns toward the girls. “For one, actual friendship. I’ve known most of that group for years, while I’ve known you for five minutes. And already you’re putting them down to try and make yourself look better?”
Paulina actually looks shocked by that response, blinking for a moment before she matches that scowl on Ann’s face. “I’m doing you a favor, newbie!”
Ann scoffs, fighting the urge for her eyes to roll back into her skull. “Yeah, right. I’m not interested. Not today; not ever.”
The girls scoff right back, offended. Like she should care. The blonde in the group - Star? - she growls something about her ‘regretting that’ before the group finally walks off in a huff.
Ann sighs, mumbling to herself in Japanese as she finishes up at her locker. Just venting remaining frustrations to herself. Once she finishes at her locker and bumps into Sam on the way to the cafeteria, there’s a smile back on her face, eager to chat up her host sister to forget that little encounter.
Sam doesn’t tell her that she heard the whole thing from down the hall. But she certainly smiles wider as Ann walks with her to lunch.
(And as promised! @galaxy-turtle-genesys )

Feeling the squeeze on his arm, he looks over to Stefan, ensuring he didn't find a potential snack of his arm. The light pressure remained constant. He strokes along his scaly back to show his appreciation. "It's fine. There's no way you could've known. I keep my cards close to my chest, so if anyone's to blame, it's me." He feels a little bad for bringing down the mood, but what was he going to do? Lie? She'd end up finding out the truth eventually. "Please, really. Don't worry about it. I appreciate you wanting to lift my spirits, but this is kind of 'normal' for me. Emotions are... difficult... for lack of better phrasing. I don't feel things like I should." He struggles for a moment, trying to find a way to explain his predicament. "It's like there's a wall between me and my emotions. I don't even notice them unless they're strong enough. Like now. The subject was somber, but I'm still numb to it - save for one brief moment." A pause. Outside of his general norm, he's actually taking the time to carefully choose his words. "If you make yourself responsible for how I feel, you'll likely drive yourself mad. I don't want to be the cause of your grief. I need you to understand that I have heavy baggage of my own, and I don't just mean my illness. Moments like this are bound to happen. It's part of the healing process." He looks at her, concern written all over his face. "I don't ever want you to think that it's your fault when these conversations happen. If you want to be close to me, these things are going to come up. These kinds of conversations need to happen." "I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't think that."
He wasn't able to find much information on short notice about Like Doves, but from what Alli said, it wasn't too bad off. Between his medical knowledge and her animal handling expertise, they should be able to figure something out. He stands at the door to Alli's room, bag of medical supplies in tow. In normal Jiro fashion, he doesn't even bother knocking. She was expecting him after all. Why would his unannounced arrival be an issue? "A brought a variety of supplies in case something else comes up." He gives a sideways glance at Kithy. They had been trying to get some kind of blood sample from it, so he had to be prepared for any given opportunity. "So, where is our little patient?" - @ask-jiro-kirisaki
"Jiro?! You should really knock before entering a ladies room!"
Alli playfully pouted before losing face and bursting into a short giggle. She motioned for Jiro to come over as she slowly pulled a blanket off a cardboard box. The box- presumably a makeshift cage, sat on top of her messy vanity littered with makeup and accessories.
"I've been keeping Daniel- that's what I've been calling him- in here. You can take a look at him, I gotta get a snack for Kithy."
Alli disappeared into her bathroom and returned with a deceased eel in her newly gloved hands. She placed it in the clear plastic tub that Kithy was sitting in and watched with motherly awe and he devoured the long fish. She gave him a few strokes on the head, the anamalous octopus letting out somewhat of a cooing sound, before turning back to Jiro.
"What's the verdict, doc?"
She giggles once more at her own joke as she stands beside Jiro and peers into the box to make sure "Daniel" is still behaving cooperatively.

Apple wrapped up this finale so good it was beyond my expectations ! Like you're telling me than in 6 ep, they put all the major drama in the last one and it didn't even feel awfully rushed and poorly handled ? You're telling me they managed to tightly pull all the threads together and paint a nice, logical, beautiful picture where everybody got a satisfying end ? You're telling me Apple was a 10/10 all throughout, no let down, no slow down, no meh-down ? Just awesome ?
Are you telling me that this show is perfect ?
Yes. I think you are...At least I am telling that !

"You'll come back," Manon said.
It sounded like more of a threat than anything
Dorian smirked. "Would you miss me if I didn't?"
Manon didn't reply. He didn't know why he expected her to.
He'd taken all of a step, when Asterin clasped his shoulder. "In and out, quick as you can," she warned him. "Take care of Narene." Worry indeed shone in the Second's gold-flecked black eyes. Dorian bowed his head. "With my life," he promised as he approached her mount and grasped the dangling reins. He didn't fail to miss the gratitude that softened Asterin's features. Or that Manon had already turned away from him.
A fool to start down this path with her. He should have known better.
The hours that passed were some of the longest of Manon's existence.
From anticipation, she told herself. Of what she had to do.
Abraxos, unsurprisingly, found them within an hour, his reins sliced from the struggle he'd no doubt waged and won with Sorrel. He waited, however, beside Manon in silence, wholly focused upon the gate where Dorian and Narene had vanished.
Time dripped by. The king's sword was constant weight at her side. She cursed herself for needing to prove-to him, to herself-that she refused to let him go into Morath for practical, ordinary reasons. Erawan wasn't at the Ferian Gap. It'd be safer. Somewhat. But if the Matrons were there … That was why he'd gone. To learn if they were. To see if Petrah truly commanded the host there, and how many Ironteeth were present. He had not been trained as a spy, but he'd grown up in a court where people wielded smiles and clothes like weapons. He knew how to blend in, how to listen. How to make people see what they wished to see. She'd sent Elide into the dungeons of Morath, Darkness damn her. Sending the King of Adarlan into the Ferian Gap was no different.
It didn't stop her breath from escaping when Abraxos stiffened, scanning the sky. As if he heard something they couldn't.
And it was the joy that sparked in her mount's eyes that told her.
Moments later, Narene sailed toward them, making a lazy path over the mountains, a dark-haired, pale-skinned rider atop her. He'd truly been able to change parts of himself. Had made his face nearly unrecognizable. And kept it that way.
Asterin rushed toward the mare, and even Manon blinked as her Second threw her arms around Narene's neck. Holding her tight. The mare only leaned her head against Asterin's back and huffed.
Manon hadn't dwelled long on what she'd say.
And as the three hundred Ironteeth witches filed into the hall, some coming off their patrols, Manon half wondered if she should have. They watched her, watched the Thirteen, with a wary disdain.
Their disgraced Wing Leader; their fallen Heir.
When all were gathered, Petrah, still standing in the doorway where she'd appeared, merely said, "My life debt for an audience, Blackbeak."
Manon swallowed, her tongue as dry as paper. Seated atop Abraxos, she could see every shifting movement in the crowd, the wide eyes or hands gripping swords.
"I will not tell you the particulars of who I am," Manon said at last. "For I think you have already heard them."
"Crochan bitch," someone spat.
Manon set her eyes on the Blackbeaks, stone-faced where the others bristled with hatred. It was for them she spoke, for them she had come here.
jacket, then hoisting up her white shirt. Rising in the stirrups to bare her scarred, brutalized abdomen. "She does not lie."
UNCLEAN
There, the word remained stamped. Would always be stamped.
"How many of you," Asterin called out, "have been similarly branded? By your Matron, by your coven leader? How many of you have had your stillborn witchlings burned before you might hold them?"
The silence that fell now was different from before. Shaking shuddering.
Manon glanced at the Thirteen to find tears in Ghislaine's eyes as she took in the brand on Asterin's womb. Tears in the eyes of all of them, who had not known. And it was for those tears, which Manon had never seen, that she faced the host again.
"You will be killed in this war, or after it. And you will never see our homeland again."
"What is it that you want, Blackbeak?" Petrah asked from the archway.
"Ride with us," Manon breathed. "Fly with us.
Against Morath. Against the people who would keep you from your homeland, your future." Murmuring broke out again. Manon pushed ahead, "An Ironteeth-Crochan alliance. Perhaps one to break our curse at last."
Again, that shuddering silence. Like a storm about to break Asterin sat back in the saddle, but kept her shirt open.
"The choice of how our people's future shall be shaped is yours," Manon told each of the witches assembled, all the Blackbeaks who might fly to war and never return. "But I will tell you this." Her hands shook, and she fisted them on her thighs. "There is a better world out there. And I have seen it."
Even the Thirteen looked toward her now.
"I have seen witch and human and Fae dwell together in peace. And it is not weakness to do so, but a strength. I have met kings and queens whose love for their kingdoms, their peoples, is so great that the self is secondary. Whose love for their people is so strong that even in the face of unthinkable odds, they do the impossible."
Manon lifted her chin. "You are my people. Whether my grandmother decrees it so or not, you are my people, and always will be. But I will fly against you, if need be, to ensure that there is a future for those who cannot fight for it themselves. Too long have we preyed on the weak, relished doing so. It is time that we became better than our foremothers." The words she had given the Thirteen months ago. "There is a better world out there," she said again. "And I will fight for it." She turned Abraxos away, toward the plunge behind them. "Will you?"
Manon nodded to Petrah. Eyes bright, the Heir only nodded back. They would be permitted to leave as they had arrived: unharmed.
So Manon nudged Abraxos, and he leaped into the sky, the Thirteen following suit.
Not a child of war. But of peace.

From TV Tropes:
Implied Love Interest:
Initially even Sora and Kairi were this, getting plenty of Ship Tease to make it obvious they'll end up together, but nothing beyond subtext happening in the No Hugging, No Kissing series. By the end of Kingdom Hearts III, Sora and Kairi are taken well past implied, as they not only finally get around to sharing that Paopu Fruit, but are depicted holding hands in public more than once — for the uninitiated, in Japanese culture any form of public physical affection is generally considered the realm of serious couples.
Reading Kairi's TV Tropes page last night for the first time since Kingdom Hearts III came out, was a lot of fun.

I got my arm stuck under the sofa today while trying to extricate my cat because he's too arthritic to get out from under the sofa by himself.
so we were both stuck.
Gotta admit it's kind of a fitting end to an an otherwise crazy-train banana-pants weekend. I'm so glad I'm using up my vacation time to have some quiet days at home this week lol. Hopefully I'll be able to get some Star Trek things done.

Did somebody say Bill shouldn't be allowed to swear? I think somebody said Bill shouldn't be allowed to swear. Thanks to that, have these retooled The Good Place jokes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The "powers that be" can refer to either the Theraprism staff, the Axolotl, or just. Ya know. Disney in general. Or all three! Whichever you think is funniest. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The "party" Bill's referring to is Weirdmageddon, of course. He was quite the ashhole to everyone back then.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ford has probably gotten pretty good at the 'tune out your psychopathic ex with dank memes' challenge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It must be very cathartic to be able to make Bill shut up whenever you want with just the press of a button. I'm sure Ford doesn't abuse this ability at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, sure, 'Not now,' he says, before he immediately backs out of the newly-made hole in the Theraprism wall. 🙄
Don't worry, Bill doesn't get far.
also yeah i know this one doesn't have an attempted swear - i just wanted to use the joke because of the massive stink-eye involved in it because it makes me laugh
⬇️ More goofs beneath the brief ramble if you wanna skip it lmao⬇️
Why is Ford even there, you might ask? Well, he either decided he preferred to watch Bill suffer in person over being distantly and repeatedly harassed with the same evil desperation book for the rest of his life, or he got roped into some kind of contrived community service for 1.) all his many counts of interdimensional thievery, and 2.) his ignoring all the very clear warnings to NOT summon Bill in the first place (which I like to imagine is also illegal). Theraprism staff were just like, 'Wait, this guy matters to Bill? Ooh, we can USE that! It might be the only thing that can help him want to get better!' It is not considered that throwing Ford at Bill so soon after Weirdmageddon could instead make them both WORSE - in new and altogether special ways! :D
Anyway, I'm calling it the Community Service AU, and I am most likely not going to do anything else with it beyond appropriating these silly Good Place jokes. So, feel free to adopt the concept if y'all wanna??? Just make sure that Bill is still not allowed to swear, no matter what, full stop. It's gotta be a real linguistic corkblork of a situation for him, is all I'm sayin'.
Finally, have these bonus Good Place jokes, but with Handyman!Bill this time:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
'Opposite tortures' doesn't sound so bad...at least until it's an all-powerful chaos entity known for torture saying it.
you may think i forgot mabel's cute pink cheeks but the truth is that i did in fact forget but then immediately stopped caring which makes it okay, SHHHHHHH
And, finally:
Tumblr media
lmao this is shit
True facts, if you cram Season 1 Eleanor Shellstrop and Michael into a singular triangle shape, they turn into Bill Cipher. This is science, look it up. Or don't, and just trust the source that is me, bro.
Anyway, I should be in bed, y'all have fun with these, I guess. Tune in after like a week or so and maybe I'll have an addendum to my comic about how Bill was drawn naked for karaoke night. Because him actually being naked was not the only thing I considered as a plausible explanation. XD
Also if you see any inconsistencies or errors in any of these comics, No You Do Not :D
Also also, reblogs are rad as hell and I appreciate every single one, just don't repost, please and thanks. Every time a repost is made, an artist somewhere cries. :,)

the past is still the past, the bridge to nowhere. - Should Have Known Better, Sufjan Stevens.
despite everything you have said, done, lived, despite the pain you’ve been through, you can’t go back, hoping to change anything.
It will always make you more miserable. The great things are done, many other are coming ; we mustn’t be stuck with what we cannot change. Be hopeful, do not mourn what you can’t act upon.
Look forward to accomplishing great things, and if not, look forward to contemplating nature. and life. you’re alive !!!!! you have loving people around you to spend time with. Give out more than what you can take.

can I request house wardens + leech twins with a reader who doesn't eat enough bc Crowley doesn't give them enough for food, and they end up really ill and collapsing or something. I'm cravin some fluffy comfort rn, pls and thank you 🙏
I got you🫡🫡 as someone who's been through an eerily similar situation, I really liked this request
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ another crowley moment™️
type of post: headcanons characters: riddle, leona, azul, floyd, jade, kalim, vil, idia, malleus additional info: romantic or platonic, reader is gender neutral, reader is yuu, mentions of food and not eating
Tumblr media
Riddle wouldn't even have to like you to rush to your side. but he does like you, which makes it all the worse
after checking your vitals, you're in the infirmary. he's got doctors for parents, after all, and he knows that malnutrition is bad
he should have seen the signs...
with exams coming, he's been so busy, and he assumed that you were just tired from studying
but he can feel guilty later. right now, he needs to focus on you getting well again, and not killing Crowley
(then, of course, he'll look for some legal statute or clause that he can threaten Crowley with so you're fed properly)
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
Leona noticed you'd been acting a little weird lately, but watching you collapse still puts him in shock
luckily, Ruggie and Jack are nearby to help you to the infirmary, so Leona can focus on hunting Crowley down like an animal
there are very few times where Leona is particularly grateful for his status, but this is one of them. just one word on how his family will be hearing about Crowley's neglect, and the old bastard is begging him for forgiveness
even after that, Leona still sends Ruggie with snacks and drinks to Ramshackle
and if you ever scare him like that again, you'll regret it (lovingly)
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
the news of you collapsing during flight lessons reaches Octavinelle rather fast. no one is particularly surprised, since Floyd had mentioned how easily you'd been bruising lately just the night before, but everyone is certainly worried
Azul is the first at your side, asking you all sorts of questions, worried sick. Jade has to remind him to give you space to rest, since you look exhausted (had you always had those dark circles? how could Azul have not noticed?)
now, Azul and the tweels could easily find a way to pressure Crowley, but they know better than to trust him
from now on, you'll be eating in the Mostro Lounge, free of charge
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
perhaps Kalim was just oblivious, because he really didn't think anything was wrong until you were suddenly on the floor in front of him
sure, you'd been a little moody lately, but he figured it was just a thing you were going through. and besides, you know that you can talk to him about anything... right?
Jamil hurries to check your pulse, and shouts for him to get the school nurse- which is jarring, because Jamil never shouts
when you explain everything to Kalim later, he feels... terrible. he should've known- no, he should've asked
Kalim insists you stay at Scarabia while you're recovering, and makes sure you have the most enriching, delicious meals money can buy
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
Vil knew it was bad, but not this bad. if he had known you were on the verge of collapsing, he would've taken a firmer approach to getting you to eat
you're going to worry him to death someday, you know that?
after he's done verbally eviscerating Crowley, he'll insist on joining you at every meal. he'll eat at Ramshackle, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, if that's what it takes
he's subtle about it, at least
if he notices that your plate feels empty, he'll just take some food from his and put it on yours. gracefully, elegantly, without a word
you'll come home one day to see your kitchen stocked with vitamins, supplements, and apples (courtesy of Epel)
<3 and a note that says he'll treat you to dinner whenever you want
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
never scare Idia like that ever again. he wasn't even with you when you collapsed, and he STILL nearly had a heart attack
listen, he knows he's not a great role model when it comes to nutritional eating, but you have got to tell him these things. he would've had Ortho go get takeout! or something!
typical Crowley behavior, SMH. what does he think you are? a rabbit? even the school horses get treated better...
no way that Idia is going to even bother with that old fart, anyway. you want something? he'll get it for you. you don't even have to ask, he'll just send food to your place (and have Ortho check your vitals more often but shhh)
*ੈ✩‧₊˚
I would not want to be in the room when Malleus finds out about this
not even the building. you know what? I'd steer clear of the whole island, because it will not be pretty
when you collapse in front of him, it feels like he's dying, too. the panic sets in, and he sends Lilia to look after you, and Silver and Sebek to escort you to the infirmary, and then he casually threatens to smite Crowley. obviously
if the students and staff of NRC thought Malleus was scary just being Malleus, he's terrifying when he's mad
(rest assured that you will be getting ten times the amount of food from now on)
it's thunderstorms for days after, but he never leaves your side
