Chapter Twelve - Banished from your sight on the day of Queen Margaery's nameday celebrations, Jon seeks comfort in the Godswood.
This is pure wish fulfillment, okay?
Ch 13
Jon finds himself in the Godswood of Highgarden, kneeling in the dirt, his head bowed. You have dismissed him for the day as you will be spending the whole of it with the queen preparing and primping for her nameday feast this very night.
The Three Singers lay before him, so intertwined it is as if they are one. Their blood-red leaves do not stand so stark against the landscape as they do in Winterfell. The lush gardens surrounding it blend so seamlessly, Jon loses himself in the view of it, mesmerized by the sway of the flowers and leaves in the wind.
Ghost lies beside him, stretched out in the sun, tongue lolling out happily.
Jon prays for strength, for the safety and health of his family, for his own health, for yours and Margaery’s. He prays that the Gods give him the strength to continue on the path Ser Jaime has set before him. This stilted, honorable path that he must follow so not to shame himself or you. But it is torture, the distance he must hold you at, the way he must keep his eyes from you, must keep his hands to himself even in private moments. Though he has lessened the private moments, and in turn you have sought solace in the queen. At least you will have a strong relationship as good-sisters, Robb will arrive and Jon can present him with an already bonded family, an apology for not being able to come home, not being able to stand by their father—Robb’s father, his uncle’s side, when he was accused on treason.
Ghost’s head rises, his ears swiveling, and Jon pivots towards the intruder, not even needing to get to his feet to draw his sword.
“Whoa, peace, friend, I have not come to harm you.” A tall man, older, around Lord Stark’s age, with dark brown hair that fell to his shoulder, and piercing eyes. Though Jon could not tell the color with the sun at the man’s back. He was well muscled, the body of a man who had trained and fought hard for decades, the strength of his form clear. He would be a beast in armor, a terrifying sight to behold, Jon is sure. His skin is tanned, not like Lord Martell’s but perhaps a few shades lighter, and he is dressed in finery, a sword strapped at his hip.
“Apologies, My Lord.” He says, bowing his head in the direction of the older man, and getting to his feet. “I shall leave you to the Godswood.”
“No, stay, I would enjoy the company.” The man says, giving him a crooked smile, a scar running through his upper right lip.
Jon returns to the ground and the man sits beside him, his eyes on the weirwoods. “I often find only Godswoods can offer me the solitude I need when I am tormented by my own thoughts.”
“My Lord?”
“I am not a lord, have not been for many years. We are both knights, let us address each other as so.”
Jon nods, staring at the trees as well, wondering why the man wished for him to remain if he wanted solitude.
“You are wondering why I asked you to stay, and perhaps how I know your mind weighs heavily upon you.” He says, his voice accented, Dornish perhaps? Jon is not quite sure.
“Aye.” Jon says, scratching between Ghost’s ears.
“I have seen many a young man kneeling in a holy place wondering if his course is true.” He says a hint of sadness in his tone. “It helps to share your burdens.”
“I do not think that is wise…” Jon says, eyeing the man out of the corner of his eye.
The man laughs. “Who will I tell, I do not know you, you do not know me, but we are both knights, sworn to uphold our codes. Your words will not leave this place, I assure you.”
There is something about the man that Jon finds strangely comforting. He has carried the weight of his decision for moons now, and it is slowly suffocating him until one day he fears he will wake up and no longer be able to breathe.
He lets out a slow breath. “I am in love with a noblewoman, and I know she loves me, but I am not worthy of her.”
The man hums in acknowledgement.
“But her father has allowed us to court as he feels even with my...strange parentage I am worthy of her hand, but it must be kept a secret.”
The man shifts his weight, stretching out one leg. “Why, if her father finds you worthy?”
“Because…there are things out of mine and her control, things that could tear us apart, and I believe he wishes to spare her the heartbreak but I—I…”
“Slipped up, overindulged, made an error?” He asks in a wry tone.
“Yes, but I did not go too far, I restrained myself, but now…now I must pull back even further, and it saddens her.”
“And her sadness in turn causes you sadness.” The man supplies, nudging Jon with his shoulder. “It is a good man who is saddened by his beloved’s sadness.”
“And now her aunt wishes her to dance with suitors, and I cannot interfere, but I do not think I can bear the sight.” Jon grabs a fallen stick and stabs it into the ground, feeling a bit childish.
“Might I tell you my own tale? Perhaps you will gain some wisdom.”
“Of course, I would be grateful for any advice.”
“Wisdom, not advice, I would not advise following my course of action.”
Jon can see the man’s eye color now, a dark gray, nearing purple.
“When I was younger, a bit older than you, I was in a frighteningly similar situation, though it was not unknown circumstances that kept myself and my lady love apart, but my closest friend. He was convinced that they must be wed, his assurance bordered on obsession, near madness, but I said nothing because he was my friend, I trusted him with my life.” The man sighs and runs a hand down his face.
Jon swallows hard, stick still in hand, staring at the hole it had made as if it will give him answers, a way to react to what he believes he is being told. You have always said he was intelligent, he believed it, he always thought himself intelligent even as a boy, but intellect was no shield against this kind of revelation.
“I continued to meet my love in secret, I adored her, would have laid my life down for her if she asked, but I knew she never would. Then my friend snapped, and we did a horrid thing, and in my cowardice, I did not break away and take my love to safety, I kept her with us. Against all odds she still loved me, I had dishonored her many times before, and she began to show, I thought this would dissuade my friend, that he would see sense…”
“But he did not.” Jon says a sinking feeling in his gut. Was this man truly who he believes him to be? How would he even be here, and why, why now?
“No, he did not. He thought to have the child born then taken away so that he could seed her. It sickened me, sickened her, but the gods intervened. Neither I nor him got to keep her, got to live with and love her. My cowardice, my devotion to my friend, got her killed.”
“I see why you said not to follow your example.” Jon jests grimly.
The man laughs, it is watery, hoarse, and the sound of it pierces Jon to the bone. “Do not be a coward, boy. No code is worth the life of the woman you love.”
“Did she love you, at the end?” He is afraid to hear the answer, afraid his father is a monster.
“Yes.”
“And the child?”
The man he is sure is Ser Arthur Dayne smiles sadly at the thick roots of the weirwoods beneath them. “Blood is proof of our devotion, she bled for our child, and so did I.”
“Her bones are in the crypt of Winterfell.” Jon says quietly, testing the waters.
The man says nothing, only gets to his feet, squeezes Jon’s shoulder, and walks away.
For a moment he is a child again, a pit in his chest, fear tugging at his limbs, a desire to reach for and call out to the man he is sure is his father surging through him. Against his better judgment he gets to his feet and runs, Ser Dayne—his father turning, his instincts still as honed as the legends said, and braces himself.
Jon embraces him, burying his face in his father’s finery. Jon is tall, but his father is taller, the top of Jon’s head reaching his father’s neck, and he breathes in the scent, finding it oddly familiar, though he knows he could only have smelled it nearly a lifetime ago.
His father wraps him in his arms, burying his face in Jon’s curls. “I should have fought harder, my boy, my son, I did not wish to abandon you, I swear to you.”
Jon bites his tongue to keep the tears from falling. “Lord Stark was good to me, he treated me as a son, I was not beaten or starved. I have siblings who love me, who think of me as their own.”
His father’s tears hit his shoulders, his body trembling. “That is good, he promised my sister he would take care of you. My household guards, they told me that when they came to retrieve my body, they thought me dead, but I could not let the Stranger take me. Not when I did not know what had become of you.”
“What did she name me, is Jon my true name?” It has been a question long on his lips.
“Yes, yes, I would never begrudge her the naming of her child, nor would she let me. She wanted you to have a strong Stark name, to set you apart from all the other Dornish boys, she told me. She was brilliant, strong-willed, and witty, she never ceased to make me laugh, even near the end.”
His father pulls back, drinking in the sight of him, his voice trembling. “You look so much like her, apart from your eyes, she was so happy that you had my eyes.”
Jon blinks away the tears, willing himself to be strong, he will need to digest this information, he will need to find you, and tell you what has occurred.
“And you are so strong, look at you, Oberyn did not lie, you inherited my strength. And I have heard that you are a skilled swordsman as well, you have done so well, my son, I am proud of you.” His father says, cupping Jon’s face with calloused hands. “I am sorry, I should have sought you out sooner, but the reports said you were thriving, that you were happy, and then you were taken to King’s Landing, and I could not show my face there. Too many people would recognize me, Robert would have me killed, and Oberyn said you had found love. I could not take you from that.”
“Then why are you here now?” Jon asks, overwhelmed by his emotions, his mind a blur, his heartbeat in his ears.
“Because I asked him to be.” Tyrion steps out of the shadows, and Jon nearly jumps out of his skin.
“Lord Tyrion?”
“I know, a Dornish man working with a Lannister, it is a sight to see, but you cannot say much my son, considering you wish to wed his daughter.” His father says, releasing his face and turning towards Tyrion.
“Come, let us bring this happy reunion inside.”
Jon sits beside his father as Tyrion fills him in, this plan has long been in the works, since his parentage was revealed.
“It took some convincing, your father did not think you would wish to see him.” Tyrion says, inclining his head toward Jon’s father.
“Does Lady y/n know of this?” Jon asks, unsettled by the very fact that you are not in the room while pertinent information is being revealed.
“See, I told you, besotted. ”
“You did.” His father chuckles.
“I will inform y/n of this development when we break fast in the morning, she should be able to enjoy one more night of merriment before meeting her future good-father.” Tyrion says.
“Is it official, then? I may have her hand?” He glances between Tyrion and his father.
His father claps him on the shoulders, then kisses both his cheeks. “Yes, my son, we have come to an agreement, you will wed your pretty lioness.”
Jon is floating, his mind clear, the joy that will alight in your eyes, the smile you will shine upon him, the way you will throw your arms around his neck and embrace him excitedly, it is all he sees. He gets to his feet, knocking over his chair in the process, “I must tell her; she will be overjoyed.”
“No one will be telling y/n anything tonight. We cannot tip off my sister.” Tyrion orders. “You just remain as you have these past few moons, it will be safer for her.”
His jaw muscles twitches, he is sick of waiting, especially now that his father is here, that he could be claimed, his title of bastard shed like snakeskin. “Why must we hold back, King Tommen loves Lady y/n, he would marry us tonight if we asked.”
“Calm, Jon, I know the Dornish sun burns in your veins as it does mine, but you must trust us, soon all you have been promised will come to be.”
Jon forces his jaw to unclench and nods. “I will hold my tongue until morning.”

Goddamn Wheelers!
Hopper was bothering him. That wasn’t necessarily unusual, Hop had been particularly hard to shake since he decided to adopt Steve into his little family. But this was a whole ’nother level of insanity. He’d been wiggling his eyebrows at him and making obscene hand gestures at him all morning and Steve was just trying to eat his breakfast in peace.
“Why do you keep looking at me like that?” Steve blurted out. The entire table stilled at his eruption and looked between him and Hopper. Hop just sipped at his cup of coffee, cool as a cucumber.
“Who me? I’m just wondering why you didn’t introduce us to the girl you’re seeing.” Hopper told him, his expression remaining relaxed and cool.
Joyce, El, and Will turned surprised eyes towards him. Their interests were piqued. Meanwhile, Jonathan looked like he wished he could be literally anywhere else.
Steve’s eyebrows scrunched. He was not seeing a girl and he had no idea why Hopper thought he was.
“I’m not. Why do you think I am?” Hopper’s eyebrows raised.
“Yes you are! I saw you two in your car last night. Why didn’t you bring her in?” He asked.
Steve just shook his head. “Why are you so interested in meeting who I’m dating? I’m an adult, I can handle myself!”
“Why are you so embarrassed about telling me you and Nancy are back together?” Hopper yelled at him. Jonathan grimaced and tried to escape but Joyce grabbed hold of his arm to keep him there.
“Nancy and I aren’t back together!” Steve shouted in response.
“I know you are, I saw you guys making out in the driveway. Who else has hair that curly?” The air stilled as Steve’s face flushed in horror. Oh god, Hopper saw him making out with Eddie Munson. Oh no.
He was in too deep now to backtrack so he took a deep breath and looked Hopper in the eye. “... Eddie. I’m dating Eddie Munson, not Nancy Wheeler. Is that okay?”
Hopper’s face broke out in a smile. “Why wouldn’t it be okay?”
“Because he’s a guy and I’m a guy. We’re in a queer relationship. Are you okay with that?” Steve was speaking quietly, cautiously. He couldn’t wrap his head around Hopper’s reaction.
Hopper huffed out a laugh. “Of course I am. Honestly kid, you could be screwing Bigfoot himself and I would accept it as long as it meant my kids weren't dating a Wheeler.”
Steve saw Joyce and Jonathan look at each other quickly and El shyly glanced at Will. The kid was gripping his fork with a death grip and his face was pale.
“Um, Hop?” He muttered.
“Yeah kid?” Hopper still had a wide smile on his face, he looked like he just won the lottery.
“I uh, I have some bad news,” Will stammered. He glanced at Joyce who nodded at him in support.
“There’s literally nothing you could say in this moment to bring me down. I’m thrilled!” Hopper laughed. He looked over at Steve who shot him a small smile. Oh boy, if what he thought was coming was coming, Hopper wouldn’t have that smile on his face for long.
“I’m gay…”
“Will, thank you for telling me that and I will always accept you,” Hop told him.
“... and I’m dating Mike Wheeler.”
All joy fell from Hopper’s face and left behind was the most devastated expression Steve had ever seen. In fact, Steve couldn’t tell if it was a glare of the light or a tear in his eye. As quickly as it appeared, the sadness was replaced with inordinate rage.
“No! Absolutely not! Goddammit, Will! You’re better than this, what does he have on you? Some sort of leverage or blackmail or Upside Down voodoo? I’ll take that kid out.”
"He's been my best friend for my entire life and I really like him!" Will defended.
"Jesus Christ, why are you kids so attracted to that family? All of you now. That's just-that's ridiculous! I guarantee that violates some kind of bro code!" Hop ranted, waving his arms around heatedly.
Perhaps Eddie was rubbing off on Steve in more ways than one because he decided to cause some problems for his own amusement. "Jon is thinking about getting back together with Nancy."
He wasn't but seeing the outrage on Hopper's face was worth it. He opened his mouth to rant at a scared looking Jonathan but Joyce cut him off.
“Alright kids, time for you to go! Have fun today, be safe, listen to Steve!” Joyce ushered them away from the table and out the door.
Steve, Will, El, and Jonathan practically bolted from the house. They could still hear Hopper screaming about “no good Wheelers” and “that fucking toothpick” and all sorts of other insults as they climbed into the Beemer.
“Uh Steve?” Jonathan asked him.
“Yeah?” Steve asked, looking over at him.
“Are these the seats you were making out with Eddie on?” Steve looked back out the windshield and tried to hide his blush.
“Don’t ask questions you don’t want the answers to.”
He drove all the way to the Wheeler house for DnD with groans of disgust and fake gagging filling his ears.

JONATHAN SIMS
PITIFUL WET RAG OF A MAN MOTHERFUCKING JONATHAN SIMS.
GOD DAMN BELOVED WIMP ASS STATEMENT GATHERING ,SAD BACKSTORY, LACTOSE INTOLERANT VIBES, AVATAR OF THE NERD, BLINDEST EYE PATRON OF THE CENTURY, KIDNAPPED FOUR TIMES IN 100 EPISODES MOTHERFUCKING JONATHAN SIMS
YOU CAN KEEP CRINGE LIKING MY POSTS I ENJOY THE NOTES I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
WHY DOES HE ALWAYS END UP IN THE MOST FUCKED UP SITUATIONS , EVER SINCE HE WAS A CHILD ??? NO WONDER HE ENDED UP AT THE ARCHIVE, OBSESSIVE ASS AUTISTIC CODED BITCH
THIS LIMP WRISTED SAD PATHETIC MAN HAS SUCH A VISCERALLY POSITIVE EFFECT ON ME, NOT EVEN IN THE ROOM NEVER SEEN THIS MANS FACE, AND I KNOW HE HAS THE WORLDS MOST DEPRESSED COLLEGE PROFESSOR YOU WANT TO HELP WITH HIS COMPUTER VIBES
If i wanted to get into heaven and god said I had to recant all that I’ve ever said about him being adorable and wanting to wrap him into a bundle of towels like a kitten, I’d simply go knock on hell’s door, they at least might accept my pitiful man loving ways. Almost a full ass lesbian and I would marry this man just for the sake of protecting him from the horrors.
If I have to deal with one more person insisting I have a crush on the voice actor and showing me his picture, I will start digitalising myself to escape their bullshit no good hearing and reading comprehension and I will slow down their internet connection out of spite
i dont even know why i love him so much. he reads messed up stories but i am just obsessed because i am projecting.
he better have some more fucked up backstory episodes bc if I never get to acquire more lore on him I will just have to write it myself
I hope he gets some affection and love soon cuz if he doesn’t I’m going to make him
paypal.com/IFuckingLoveJonSims
Almost all the episodes have him in them and its still not enough. vaguely see something that reminds me of him and I black out and lose my train of thought for the next 20 minutes
I’ve been spoiled about the ending, but I won’t let that stop me from hoping he gets the peace and love he deserves, i love denial and ignoring canon
I'll lovingly squish jon and his sad pitiful little archivist body will simply crumble to pieces when faced with how much I love him until all that's left is one final statement recorded on his trusty tape recorder titled MAG 201 “A Jon Stan” written in curly-q handwriting on top
im not breathing im hyperventilating at this point
i hope theres a date given for when he’s resuscitated or appears as a cryptid to haunt people so i can make it a reminder on my phone
once a year i will see it and will do so many little things to pay respects to the man who recorded hundreds of fucked up little stories and still couldn’t escape his destiny to became one himself.
(very much inspired by the Jurgen Leitner rant : https://jurgen-leitner-rant.neocities.org )

TMAGP EP 17 REACTION (SPOILERS)
CELIA GIRL WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT DO YOU MEAN AGAIN WHAT IS IT WITH YOU AND WAKING UP ON VEHICULAR ROADWAYS
So she woke up in Oxford that's what I'm hearing. Does girlie go dimension hopping in her sleep but wake up in random places bc of it???
The way Celia said "absolutely" just gave me butterflies also Sam MOVE Alice is right you're like a baby foal now let me show you have to rizz up a milf-
Celia girl what is GOING ON
MAGNUS STATEMENT???? HEY HEY NOW WHAT THE FUCK. WHO HAS THE FILES WITH ALL THE MAGNUS INSTITUTE EXPERIMENTED PEOPLE. I DONT HAVE IT BUT MAYBE WE COULD MATCH THE SUBJECT NUMBER TO A NAME
it is kinda concerning to me that after Celia talks to Sam that we get a MAGNUS statement
BIG SOFT LOOKING GUY WHO STUMBLED OVER EVERY WORD???? BOOKISH LOOKING GUY WITH SERIOUS MILES???? WAIT NO WHAT THE FUCK WAIT WAIT WAIT YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS. JONMARTIN???? IS THAT YOU????
Going away for a while???? Lonely-coded lmao and also me-coded
Magnus Institute Outreach Centre??? What the fuck??? They're like. Pretending to be a help center or like. A real institute???
Harcourt House? Sounds like a rich manor or something. A friend of Lady Mowbray's perhaps?
THE OTHER MYSELF???? IM SORRY WHAT THE FUCK NOW????
Meeting a successful version of yourself GONE WRONG
Oh my God wait WAIT IS THIS GUY'S OTHER VERSION FROM A DIFFERENT UNIVERSE??? IS THAT WHY DETAILS ARENT LINING UP FOR THEM????
Holy shit. Holy shit what the fuck. What the FUCK. Oh my God. So this is. This guy is literally just a fucked up person. Like. Dear God.
Oh my God it's his dad. Okay well. If the dad was a shitty person...I mean I don't condone it but I can see why that might have happened?
"Your world and mine are pretty similar" What does that mean????
This kind of reminds me of the statement in TMA season 4 where that woman keeps killing people because she's a good person and donates to charity and can make a difference and deserves to live. I wonder if this was the way she thought in the beginning. Although, she was killing innocent people. This guy killed a sadistic murderer.
OH MY GOD CELIA DEFINITELY REPLACED THIS UNIVERSE CELIA. HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. OKAY I DONT KNOW IF SHE KILLED HER BUT SHE DID SOMETHING TO REPLACE THIS WORLD'S CELIA.
This...Kinda also parallel's Not Sasha replacing Sasha and no one knowing it. It's just that Celia isn't actively trying to harm people. At least she seems to feel guilty for replacing this universe Celia??
JMJ ERROR AGAIN?? but I thought we just found our in universe jmart as well.
Gwen's a tech girlie???? Also Dyhard shippers are being fed this ep lol
Ethernet PROTOCOLS??? Lmao I'm kidding I'm kidding
OH DYHARD SHIPPERS ARE REALLY BEING FED HUH MY GOD SKDHAOJFDB
I REALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO SAY. SO WE MIGHT HAVE AN IN UNIVERSE JONMARTIN. AND THEN CELIA MAY HAVE MURDERED THE IN UNIVERSE VERSION OF HERSELF TO REPLACE HER. GIRL WHAT THE FUCK. I really hope she didn't murder her but maybe it's like...possession? Body sharing???
Also I realized that the possible jonmartin sighting is from another universe not the one that we're in. But that's so funny to me because in SOME universe, Jon had to go to COURT MANDATED THERAPY
So from what I understand, this guy is from a third universe, not the TMA or TMAGP universe, and he managed to stumble into the TMAGP universe. I'm saying this bc I hope that in some other universe, jonmartin have a chance.

Thought I’d try loveblogging so uh tmagp 15 here we go! (So sad my podcast app was broken and it took me like three days to fix it)
—————
“I SAID BABIES WERE COOL” dw Alice me too. Acted the same why when I found out one of my coworkers had a kid.
The writers need to stop picking on small businesses. I need to see parts of large corporations get fucked over. Do better.
Oh this is so “nondescript meat aka human meat core
Ohhhh the tone in his voice as he killed them. It reminds me of Jon’s voice in S5. That horror and disgust and horrible satisfaction.
I was right about the meat thing.
Oh I’m sure Celia isn’t as scared because she’s dealt with disgusting little fuckers who kill stuff before. Like come on Mowbary’s literally just as self assured as any other avatar type.
Luke’s is the epitome of a bassist.
THE WOMAN’S POETRY THING STARTED WITH A TAPE RECORDER CLICK. AND THEN WENT ON ABOUT SECOND TIMES.
Ok but I wonder if the woman is from the tma universe, specifically from the eyepocolypse, and ended up coming over as well. She could be either an avatar who’s lost the fear, or someone deeply scarred from the fearscape she was in because both could be incredibly bad for a person. Very vast coded though. This could mean that multiple people have entered in various ways from the tma-verse, all suffering in their own way.

Unsolicited tmagp rant no one asked for part 3 (hang in there guys this is a very all over the place one):
So. Idea. We know someone, presumably the OIAR, is listening. They’re able to tap cellphones and things too, not just listening through the office computers. It definitely could be the OIRA, they do seem like a likely suspect, they’re a government branch, they’d have the power, but what if it’s not them?
It’s not unreasonable to say the OIAR is connected to the eye, if the fears work the same in this universe (I’m running on the assumption they do) the it makes sense. Cataloging supernatural statements, sounds familiar. But we don’t know how long the recordings been going on. My thinking is that it’s Jon, maybe Martin? And Jonah, who is the most likely Augustus. So we’ve got two eye avatars in these computers, how do we know it’s not them listening in and tapping the phones and everything? We don’t know how much autonomy they have currently, I don’t think Jon (Chester) would choose to listen in, but maybe he’s making an exception since it’s a new universe? Or it’s involuntary, that he’s not able to control it, just needs to watch.
There’s also the case of Colin. He knows something for sure, whether that’s mainly paranoid driven conspiracy theories or actual information is yet to be seen. But it’s not hard to figure out whatever is going on is connected in some way to FR3-D1. Now the fact that Colin is sneaking some time on the computer in episode 10 is pretty telling. He knows he’s that messing with them could raise suspicion, seeing as he asks Celia to not tell Lena. He was using the work computers specifically so he needs to access something in FR3-D1’s program presumably. If he’s poking around in that code, digging through stuff he knows he shouldn’t, it makes me wonder if he knows about Jon, Martin, and Jonah(?). Because this man is thoroughly obsessed with this system, has spent nearly two years trying to figure out how it works. The voices have been reading out statements for a year.
I think the big thing about how much he’s noticed has to do with whether or not Jon and friends are actually coded in. Ofc with eldritch powers and stuff it’s possible they’re just there, consciouses stuck in there by spooky magic stuff. But to me at least, having their brains coded into this computer on its own is scarier. Think back to tma 65. About how you just couldn’t code someone’s mind into a computer, how the one story of a man who tried ended up stuck and awful and in pain. “The angles cut me when I think.” And I’m terrified that’s what’s happening to my boys right now, that they were somehow coded into this, and in pain because of it.
So if that’s the case and they have actual code there’s no doubt in my mind that Colin has seen that. And of course he’d know it’s not right, even if he doesn’t know for sure what it is. He also said that a YEAR ago (around the same time the voices would have started) he figured out it was “written with some kind of propriety German source code,” further supporting the idea that Augustus is Jonah. I also find it interesting the use of “propriety” here, maybe I’m looking into it too much, but a code isn’t something I’d describe like that. But the thoughts or brain of Jonah Magnus or something? I’d describe that as propriety. But if that is why it was in German, then they can affect the code in some sense, again, likely written in. He read what that code said, and if it said anything about Jonah, he would have seen it. He’d combed through this whole system enough to see something was written in German for god’s sake, IF THEY’RE CODED IN HES SEEN IT AND HE KNOWS.
I also find the interaction with Sam a bit weird, obviously, but I don’t mean the paranoia about being watched. When Sam brings up the email, he brushes it off. “If you’re going to get this worked up over a weird email, you’re going to freak when you see the real stuff.” I initially assumed he meant the statements by “real stuff.” But he doesn’t actually deal with statements. He could definitely mean the OIAR and how they’re (maybe) surveying them all. But just because the branch they work for is terrible and spies on them, that’s not really a good reason to brush off a weird INTERNAL email so quickly. Okay.
The OIAR is probably awful and evil. But they’re not gonna start sending emails from their servers from people who don’t officially exist. If I (someone who knows next to nothing about computers so don’t take my word for it) heard that there were internal emails being sent by someone not apart of the company, my rational assumption would be hacking, or some sort of security fault. But that’s not even a possibility to Colin, he accepts it’s weird without even thinking, and just says that there’s worse things. So if he’s not worried about it being hacking, I’m ready to guess he knows the emails are coming from the little computer men. So this isn’t a new thing. And I wonder if Jon tried sending Colin something before. So if a weird email is normal to Colin, and he knows where it’s from, then that’s probably what he’s referring to as “the real stuff.” Because the real stuff to him is computers, nothing else, to the point he dumps therapists cause they’re not tech savvy enough.
The bit in episode 1 is clearly suspicious too, “Best Colin can figure, something broke and whichever genius made the program ran some redundancy through the sound card.” BUT THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS. It was such a bad reason, that even Alice and Sam (who don’t have much knowledge of computers as far as I know) saw through it. Knowing Colin there’s no way in hell he’d come up with that theory and just be content to leave it be, and not spend all his time trying to figure out WHY. It was a lie, it has to be.
Now that was a very long and chaotic ramble, so uhh, to sum it up for folks who are smart enough not to read this, I think It’s Jon, Martin, and Jonah listening in and tapping phones, not the OIAR. And I think Colin knows they’re stuck in the computer, and is choosing not to tell anyone.

Sorry but “seven” by Taylor Swift is so miwi coded
“Love you to the moon and to Saturn” these boys are/were NERDS! They would eat this up!
“I think your house is haunted. Your dad is always mad and that must be why” can’t you just imagine little seven year old Mike going home and wondering why Lonnie is so mean? He doesn’t have the best home life either, but it is certainly very different from Will’s.
“and I think you should come live with me and we can be pirates. Then you won’t have to cry or hide in the closet.”
AHHH SCREAMING JUST IMAGINING WILL AND MIKE PLAYING PIRATES! Also, we know Lonnie was an ass, and definitely caused some fights with both Joyce and Jon, so I can imagine Will hiding in the closet away from the violence and just drawing. (Plus the obvious reference to the closet AKA gayyyyy)
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

It has been 22 years since 9/11; I was 15 years old in second period art class when a kid, who'd been running down the hallway, opened the door and announced a plane had hit the World Trade Center, and then ran off down the hall, leaving everyone confused. The principal advised teachers not to turn on televisions for us when this was happening, leaving us in further confusion as he tried, feebly, to carry out the rest of the day. We were dismissed before lunch, before fourth period ended.
There are people who are able to legally drink that weren't born yet when this happened and let me tell you, the actual event was fucked up but what happened afterwards, the decisions made in the wake of this fucking event, are a big reason why everything is so fucked up now.
I remember the color-coded terror threat chart, explained by Tom DeLay, who would become a minor internet meme just because of a weird photo of his face. I remember the phrase "known unknowns" in regards to justifying the invasion of Iraq. The "yellow cake" uranium. Being assured that there were weapons of mass destruction. Shock and awe. Bush in a flight suit in front of that "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" sign. The 2000's was the decade of neo-conservatism and 9/11 was a glorious and golden opportunity to have what America had lost with the fall of the Soviet Union; an ideological enemy that hated us because of how great we were. A perfect vessel to pump patriotic sentiment into the public. And it worked... kind of. Not so much for us younger people, those of us who were teenagers or in our 20's. You have to understand that we were at a point where Jon Stewart, the host of the Daily Show, was considered to be some sort of beacon of truth. We would rather get our news from a satirical news program than the actual news, because Stewart would at least recognize the absurdity of it all. A lot of artists did. Green Day's American Idiot is considered to be their most important album and the whole thing was a protest album. I've always had a soft spot for Radiohead's Hail to the Thief for the same reason. Counterculture was dark and bitter and cynical and brooding, and often incredibly edgy, flying directly in the face of the propaganda about how great America was. Counterculture was more queer, more atheist, dressed in black and online, making memes about 9/11. 9/11, this day that was supposed to be symbolic of the nation's greatest modern-day tragedy since the assassination of John F. Kennedy or the bombing of Pearl Harbor, was being photoshopped to make it look like Hulk Hogan was taking down the Twin Towers through sick wrestling moves. 4chan seems to have since been infected with reactionary brainworms over the course of the 2010's, but in the 2000's, counterculture wasn't conservative. It was making conservatives upset. We saw destruction and mass human death played on repeat over and over and we grew numb to it. Desensitized. We saw the obvious emotional ploy that was being used as an excuse to inflict even more violence and oppression on people on the other side of the globe. We reveled in shock sites, in edgy jokes, in transgression, in scaring the normies.
The young men who fall into the alt-right rabbit hole, who might not even be old enough to remember 9/11... I can't help but wonder what they think of it. Because they still want to be edgelords, but now to own the libs. To work in service of the very same people that we were trying to piss off 20 years ago. Trump spoke on 9/11 about how now, the Trump Tower, which had once been the tallest building in Manhattan, was now back to being the tallest building in Manhattan. He's a completely different breed from Bush, Cheney and company. Completely self-interested. Not even bothering with the pretext of things like conviction or truth. Truthiness incarnate. Embrace it. Feel it. Be it.
I think back to a few years ago, I posted a doge meme with the child doge in front of the Twin Towers, with a joke about how great the future was going to be in the coming decade. I had a teenager try and educate me on how insensitive this was. They hadn't even been born yet and I snapped at them that the meme was a real sentiment, that all of us who were old enough to remember essentially watched our futures explode on television, over and over, in a fireball of jet fuel.
This went stream of consciousness again. It always does. It's hard to summarize 9/11 and its aftermath in a cohesive way because we're still living in the shadow of it. COVID-19 is now the big historical event that traumatized us all that we will have to reckon with for decades to come, and how it affected young people growing up at the time. The new scar on our collective psyche. But 9/11 will continue to be that formative scar. Before that for me, it was Columbine, but only because the aftermath did directly affect me. Before that? Princess Diana's death, the Oklahoma City bombing, and the O.J. Simpson trial, and of all of those, the bombing was perhaps the most actually impactful on us. Before 9/11, it was the largest terrorist attack on the United States, carried out by a far-right racist retaliating against the FBI firebombing a compound because a pedophile cult leader with a bunch of guns refused to give up and used his child brides as human shields. That'd be Waco, by the way.
There was another bombing of the World Trade Center that happened in 1993. It was much smaller, using a bomb inside a van in a parking lot underneath; it's the reason Biggie rapped about "blowing up like the World Trade." Osama bin Laden was also behind that one but that wouldn't be fully realized by us until 1996. It only killed six people. It was considered a failed attempt; it was supposed to take down the entire North Tower. It didn't come out of nowhere. The CIA knew that this was in motion since Clinton was in office, and this ball got rolling because of training the United States offered to resistance fighters in Afghanistan against the Soviets in the 80's. I remember the shock I felt first seeing that photo of Donald Rumsfeld shaking Saddam Hussein's hand, knowing about the Gulf War and living through the War in Iraq. All these puzzle pieces are scattered on the floor and my brain is making connections between all of them as I try and fit them together. I'm looping red string around push pins and asking who Pepe Silvia is, except it's not a conspiracy, it's just me trying to fully grasp this event that happened in my lifetime, before I was an adult but after I'd started paying attention to the news regularly and had developed an interest in politics. Just as I was forming my own political beliefs. 9/11 and its aftermath has informed so much of who I am politically, and what my values are. George W. Bush is my Nixon, and yet, somehow, things got so much more cartoonishly worse as I entered my 30's that I was in denial about it until COVID. Trump's presidency felt like a clown show. How on earth was I supposed to take this man seriously? This motherfucker made the neoconservatives appear restrained and reasonable by comparison, and those motherfuckers are actual war criminals.
I can only really tell people who are too young to remember what this era was like what it was like. It's hard to explain if you weren't there in that moment. We're seeing Y2K nostalgia become a thing, which fits, because of the 20 year minimum big nostalgia cycle, as those whose childhood was 20 years ago are now young adults. And some of those adults were born after 9/11. They never knew the world before it. I knew, but I was a child and couldn't really fully grasp it. The 90's felt very distinct from the 2000's, with it's very open cynicism and even nihilism in the very first years of a society with no Soviet Union.
If only we knew how bad things really would become.

hey!! all of your hatchetfield stuff is so cool omg, i love ur account. i was wondering, if like,, the entire hatchetfield side of tumblr performed npmd, which blog would u cast as each character ? XD
Aww, tysm! <3
Idk if I know that many accounts but I can try 😅😂
Ruth - @jewishruthfleming for obvious reasons. Partly the name but also because you feel very Ruth-coded to me Olive <3
Richie - @androgynous-sack-of-flesh-3 gives me "sit at the back of the class and has a million internet friends but will not speak up in the classroom" vibes. Idk how true the weeaboo aspect of Richie would be, but the other stuff for sure.
Steph - @marvelmaniac715 idk why, I just feel like you'd fit Marvel. Steph is very opinionated and open about it, and she gets to tell Jon Matteson to grow up. She's the main character that interacts with him the least iirc. Have fun!
Pete - @lilacthebooklover you have the energy of Pete being terrified to walk down a certain hallway, but as soon as you're trying to meet up with someone you care for you'll go through hell or high water for it.
Grace - I hate to say it, but me 😅 I'm not an uptight bitch like Grace, but I am a Christian who's never had a crush before, so I can imagine some weird things going down when that happens. Also, Black Book. I get funky powers. And the most chilling line of the show at the end. Who wouldn't be excited for that? (I know it's the ensemble that sings it and not Grace but can you imagine just being in the middle of that? So cool!)
Detective Shapiro - @queermarzipan the line "ON THE GROUND BITCH, I'M A COP!" feels like something you'd say. It gives me big "yeh prove it asshole, we're the army" vibes and something about those lines fits your chaotic energy.
That's all I've got anon! Sorry I couldn't add more, I don't know anyone with enough jock energy to fill Max.
If anyone tagged here has more they want to add on, feel free!

On the Grand Northern Conspiracy
Somehow I have been thinking a lot about the Grand Northern Conspiracy, an ASOIAF fan theory that posits that in AFFC/ADWD the lords of the North and Riverlands are plotting to install Jon Snow as King in the North. Well, no time like present to write a comment.
TL;DR I find it extremely implausible and would very surprised if TWOW featured anything even resembling that. It's a far-fetched conspiracy theory.
First of all, as other people like @turtle-paced have pointed out, there are lots of barriers to communication between the supposed conspirators and no evidence that they could coordinate their actions. Now, there is evidence in Arya's ASOS chapters that the Brotherhood Without Banners has contacts to the Riverlords and one wonders if Jaime Lannister in AFFC is being deliberately steered to Brienne, but that doesn't mean the Northerners can do the same.
Second, where is the set-up for the Northern lords using Stannis like that? Late Walder Frey is amply established as a traitor, opportunist and oathbreaker two books before the Red Wedding, there is no foreshadowing at all for Mormont, mountain clans etc. This isn't Game of Thrones, spectacular betrayals do not come out of thin air in ASOIAF. In this context, it's worth noting that foreshadowing in ASOIAF usually takes the form of a few unambiguous meaningful events, not a lot of very ambiguous little things that can interpreted in multiple ways like the infamous "Corn Code"
Three, Jon Snow does not work very well as a fulcrum for such a conspiracy. Ignoring for a moment that nobody has bothered getting his buy-in for such a plot (what if he deems it dishonourable and sleazy and ices out all the participants?), there is no indication that any physical copy of Robb's will survived the Red Wedding. Remember, the various lords and ladies are referred to as its "witnesses", and most of them are now prisoners of the Freys. Look at it from a character's perspective: Two lords who somehow survived the Red Wedding, claiming that Robb wanted to make Jon king. Why would anyone believe them? Especially Jon Snow, who knows in ADWD that Robb was killed by his own men, he has no reason at all to trust Maege or Galbart. And without the will, Jon Snow would just be an usurper and deserter from the Night's Watch.
Narrative-wise, I don't see much foreshadowing of Jon being king in the north in the main series - all so-called "foreshadowing" I've seen are ambiguous allusions or far-fetched interpretations. I see no thematic or character purpose, either - I tend to think that R+L=J, the three dragons and his assassination lead into him being a dragonrider and fighter against the Others. In my opinion, the political side of the Northern storyline is Sansa and Stannis' job. And there is plenty of potential conflict around them without the need for a king in the north scheme.
But the big sticking point is that the actions of many of the supposed conspirators don't fit with theory. Just to cite a few examples:
Lady Stoneheart is not crowning Jon with anything but a noose, not in a million years, there is no evidence whatsoever that she's anything but a revenge zombie.
Wyman Manderly is entrusting Rickon Stark to consummate Stannis loyalist Davos Seaworth, which makes no sense at all if he planned to betray Stannis later - why would he risk Rickon becoming Stannis' hostage?
We have no reason to believe that Barbrey Dustin is lying about not liking the Starks - for one thing, Dustin troops are noticeable by their absence for the War of Five Kings, true to her word. She'll probably jump ship if Roose falls, but that's not the same thing as becoming a Stark restorationist. In fact, I could see her supporting Stannis to take the Starks down a peg.
People keep citing Lyanna Mormont's defiant letter to Stannis as proof of Bear Island not being truly on his side, but not only is she (as Jon points out) not in charge of House Mormont, we later see Alysane marching with Stannis. She almost certainly is in contact with Maege given her comments to Asha about her family; I doubt that this is a right hand vs left hand situation. I am not even sure that she has much of a retinue, either - the problem with Rickon above may exist here too. Finally, recall that in AGOT Maege challenged Robb, telling him that he was so young as to have no business giving her commands. The Mormonts don't let anyone boss them around, that doesn't mean that they are Frey Lite.
In short, this theory requires lots of poorly foreshadowed OOC behaviour to enable a rather pointless political ploy that doesn't fit the narrative very well.

Late live episode due to me panic baking!
The Magnus Protocol - 29 Keyed in spoilers below.
Oh Sam is alive that’s nice poor Celia for tripping over her.
Samama “it was a Bentley” Khalid.
It was searching for something? It wanted information about the Institute.
Do you think that ERROR was what the old man was creating?
God this is traumatising for Sam.
Celia I need you so bad you don’t understand.
Ah the ladies are arguing love that.
CHESTER. FUCK.
missing Norris
Hm Homicide. Wonder what that’s about
Currently sat on the floor behind the door to really create the desperate atmosphere ( art shit is all over my bed)
Yeah how does this turn into a homicide sweetheart?
Oh they’re old and inlove. How is there murder.
The music. Oh nice new words
“Odemknout své srdce”
Sigh this is a code isn’t it.
DID SHE KILL HIM.
The key to the lock?
Nevermind lock gone.
“Unlock your heart” I see.
Hm Chester so much passion and character in Open. This is a damn journal.
Ah the wooden door has the key.
My brownies are nearly ready damn.
Lock room? It’s the lock museum why am I confused.
Strange -> Simple.
Aha. Why is there the noise of moving a locked handle ahaha what.
Sharp lock with blood nice
Their lock was in the Lock Museum. And the simple one was bloody. Hm
Picked up the lock and then obviously everything went to hell.
Oh so they translated it.
Oh so to get out is to kill the other.
‘Unlock your heart’ meaning to kill your loved one to escape.
Oh so he just died from slipping.
Oh!
No he begged for help.
The fear here was their death. And using their love to seal both their fates. Nothing really to guess.
The key unlocks anything after they sacrificed their love. She believes it can remove her grief.
FUCK
Brownies are ready :3
Oh Chester is losing the Jon-ness
When she killed Stanley her love for him left as she unlocked her love. Sweet
ALICEEEEEEEEE MY LOVE
TEDDY OH MY GODDD TEDDYDYYYYYYYY
Oh

What is it???
ALICE DYER YOU AAAAAAAA
wh
Oh Sam
For fucks sake Sam
Alice dyer the woman you are
Teddy yk we love you dearly
ALICE DYER THE WOMAN YOU ARE
ALICE
“I can’t let you pass without a ticket :|”
ALICE
ALICE MY LOVE
Alice what’s going on
Alice dyer
ALICE
WHAT THE FUCK
WH
WHATS
NO
ERROR DID YOU NOT PAU FOR A TICKET WHAT THE FUCK
ERROR. oh that’s it’s. NICE!
Well time to get my burning brownies
Hm.
So those were some episodes
My brownies didn’t burn they were still gooey after 30 minutes in the oven which is nice (not)
So Sam passed out the prior episode and survived which we all can yippie at that. Passing out and having no control of your body is very traumatising and for Sam to instantly panic and decide that dealing with ERROR was his priority is. Concerning. But god he is going to do the exact same thing as Jonathan. Celia not wanting for him to go alone but while also hating the idea of even entertaining ERROR at all seems like an accurate response. I feel like people experiencing the horrors together feels more relevant in this rather than TMA but still all the inescapable horrors happen alone anyways. I had something i was meant to add one but ill mention it in another post
The case the case the case. Chester read it thanks Jonathan for that. Two old lovers went to their most important place of travel where Stan proposed and they had locked their love on the bridge. They then went into a ‘Lock Museum’ and gained an ivory key and looked at all the locks there. A saying was found Unlock your love which referenced the act of killing your lover and setting your love for them go to escape. We can assume she didn’t love him after escaping as she said she “wouldn’t miss him”. Nothing too alchemy themed here really and it was just a case about two lovers who had to sacrifice the other to escape the horrors oh it’s Jmart again of fucking course. No words after that fuck you Chester. Bring back Norris 2024.
Alice my love you care so so much you have such a big heart and you’re such a little shit. Nothing wrong with Alice truly. Alice seems slightly bitter about Sam’s new adventures in the OIAR, enough to express it to Teddy who HAS MYSTERIES OF HIS OWN???? What’s up with his new job is it like tha Magnus institute from the hit podcast The Magnus Archives????? Whats that about Teddy boy what’s going on. But realistically I’m assuming he’s having trouble keeping a job after leaving the OIAR. I wonder if it has to do with the horrors that lurk. Maybe he’s having troubles in his jobs so he has to turn to the OIAR? Would make sense. Also Dammit Alice truly cares she heard Sam was going on that train and decided to really leave her lovely pint. and last but not least ERROR IS ON THE TRAIN????????? Either a) Error paid a very, very expensive ticket. Or b) jumped the metro like a boss. Either way, way to go Error way to go.
Now after an hour of listening taking a break and screaming online my brownies are still NOT DONE!!!!!!

Levels of being canonically gay:
Character is undeniably gay in the text (Captain Jack Harkness, Oberyn Martell, Klaus Hargreeves, Colin Hughes, Clare Devlin, Max from Black Sails)
Character is explicitly gay but some people will miss it (Will Byers, Keeley Jones until season 3)
Character does gay things and feels no need to process their sexuality about it (anyone Russell T. Davies has ever written, Tony Stonem, Cassie Ainsworth, book Daenerys, Rhaenyra?)
The character doesn’t know if they’re gay, I don’t know if they’re gay, but we’re both wondering about it (Karma Ashcroft from Faking It. This category was created solely for her)
Character is gay by Word of God (Albus Dumbledore, maybe Matt Boyd from AFTG)
Character is gay only in off-handed jokes (Eleanor from The Good Place, Clara Oswald, Stiles Stilinski, Lily Aldrin)
Character reads as queer to queer audiences, whether or not author intended it that way or accidentally borrowed queer-coded tropes (Black Sails’s Jack Rackham, Michel for the original run of Gilmore Girls, Jamie Tartt, Jaime Lannister, Dean Winchester, Susie Myerson (LISTEN, I’M ON SEASON 2 SO JUST ROLL WITH IT)
Why Does He Describe Men That Way (Jon Snow talking about how pretty Satin is while literally in the middle of battle)
Character is gay only through intentional queer-baiting (i don’t have the balls to fill this one in, but you’re definitely thinking of one)
*Note: these levels aren’t perfect. Some characters fit into multiple categories, depending on your interpretation or what point in the story arc something happened. Stiles Stilinski could belong in at least 3 of these categories.
There’s also the people who are imperfectly queer. Willow Rosenberg calls herself a lesbian, but had meaningful romantic relationships with men and possibly would have been bisexual in a show written more recently.

Hello Kim ! I love that you're a Sansa fan, I was wondering what your favourite Sansa quote is? And why do you think she is so hated compared to characters like Jon, Dany, Arya, etc ? Thank you xx
Thank you for asking about my favorite child! It's hard to narrow down a quote as my absolute favorite. I love it whenever she's sneaky about manipulating idiots like Joffrey without ever dropping her armor of courtesy. "He is a fool, you're so clever to see it! He'd make a much better fool than a knight" about Hollard, and "“They say my brother Robb always goes where the fighting is thickest. Though he's older than Your Grace, to be sure. A man grown” are perfect examples.
They're also examples of why so many fans dislike her. She's too subtle for them, and too nuanced (maybe the most nuanced character in the series?). The dislike started when she was framed in the very beginning as Arya's foil, when her motives were easy to read: marry the prince and live like in romantic stories of chivalry. Now we're all obviously supposed to be frustrated with her, as we would be if our little sister or daughter fell for such an obvious douchebag but had a head too full of fairy tales to listen to reason. That frustration doesn't mean we hate them; in fact, it's usually so frustrating because you love the little twits. Yet because Sansa was set up as a foil to Arya, the underdog tomboy to cheer for, most viewers projected those affectionate feelings onto her and Sansa was left as the antagonist.
In season 2, we get nonstop action, with Arya, Jon, and Dany slicing through folks and burning them....and Sansa just seems to sit there sad and mealy-mouthed in King's Landing? Weak!
So many fans were attracted to the pageantry and sensory overload Game of Thrones gave them, and to take the time to understand someone as quiet and diffident as Sansa appeared was just not going to happen.
Ultimately, Gillian Flynn said it best:  “I like strong women” is code for “I hate strong women.” People watched GoT and decided for a woman to be equal, she had to commit violence, just like how men assert their masculinity. This hurts both Sansa and Arya in the show, I think. Sansa, with her subtlety and traditionally feminine interests, combined with the self-centered streak she showed in season one because God Forbid a teenager be self-centered especially since Arya isn't, was deemed too weak and annoying. Arya is the badass little ninja, but in the books, her descent into her darkest impulses because of the hell she's been through is...Not Good. Not empowering. She's a child. Sansa is a child. But because the way Arya survives and loses much of herself is cool and masculine-coded in the show, it's okay to rally around her. With Sansa, it's weak.
Unfortunately, a lot of Sansa fans go too far in the other direction, which I think is important to note. I've said this in another post, I know, but I just gotta repeat a distinct memory from when the show was at its height. More people were getting into Sansa, and her popularity was rising. Someone dared post their artwork of Sansa in armor and holding a sword. The reaction was ridiculous. "You're missing the whole point of Sansa's character if you give her armor and a sword!" First of all, Sansa is the most adaptable character in the series. Much like Elizabeth I, she would absolutely do that to boost morale at the very least. Second of all, people love to put women in boxes; to quote Succession, a lot of fans can't "hold a whole woman in their head."
Sansa is an example of "safe" femininity; she'll always be good and sweet and pure, a nice escape from mean women like Cersei, butch Brienne, tomboy Arya. Suddenly all the women just become these traits and aren't allowed to grow past them or learn to love other things. Maybe Sansa does learn to pick up a sword willingly, and finds out it's...kinda fun! Empowering, even!
No, there's nothing wrong with loving to sew, sing, and dream of romance. However, there is harm in internalizing that as the only things women can and should do. There's just something so infantalizing about the treatment of Sansa by some fans: "Our little Sansa always behaves like a lady".
I love Sansa because she isn't always likable. She has a lot of internalized misogyny, and she takes it out on Arya. She's so self-centered in her desires that she tells Cersei about Ned. She's also a child who we can safely assume was more strongly discouraged not to end up like Arya than, say, Arya was. This is her arc. I hate that it happens because of trauma, but her growth stems from Ned's death because it shows that deep down, this child wants home and family more than pagaentry. But because she couldn't say it with a sword, fans missed this.

Something happened to Gwendolyn that made her start working there . We know that at the time of the series, TMA happened a while back given that the AIs have been around for a while .
Is she… is she the only one who really knows what’s happening ? Is that why she wants the position, for security ? If so, then she’s a lot more like Jonah than we thought …. I think they’d get along well enough, outside of the obvious resentment she’d have …
They can leave their jobs, though I’m not entirely convinced whatever his name was is actually gone… they wouldn’t just introduce a character to dump them so this feels like a Junko moment to me .
It feels like everyone is trapped one way or another.. and the way the guy with the Scottish accent seemed so… annoyed at the idea of a vacation ? Or,,, how do I put this… doubtful ? There’s definitely something there .
Everyone seems much more hateful towards Lena than people were towards Elias… like they never especially liked him but they got along fine enough. So what gives ? Why are they acting like that?
My guess? Lena is actually going to be a lot more helpful than we’re guessing, and Gwendolyn is going to be a lot more harmful - though probably not outright evil, simply doing what she needs and getting others hurt from that.
I wonder what’s up with Sam . He doesn’t seem to have as much protagonist energy as Jon did but he is the only one who’s really going to be spending time around the AIS . Hm .
Also, something I don't know if you know, according to an ARG for TMAGP before it released, we found out that the Magnus Institute didn't investigate the spooky stuff like in TMA. Instead it investigated something about gifted kids? Gerry apparently was a patient/employee something there.
I don't think Gwen Knows anything about the other dimension, but I do think she's 1. Had a traumatic experience, likely supernatural and 2. Focused on working up the corporate ladder.
Yah, I definitely think we'll hear from Teddy again, especially considering we're not confined to a tape recorder but anything electronic.
Colin (Scottish guy, I think) definitely seems like he's falling victim to the Eye. He's probably proud of his coding abilities and doesn't like to let go of a project until he's satisfied. He's overworked and trying to code something years out of date into an app. Also facing the Eye. Not good odds.
I saw a good post describing Lena as "Elias in middle management." I think she knows about the Horros but is far more preoccupied with how much paperwork it creates. Feels a bit early to make any hard judgments.
Here's my thoughts: Sam is the only one who's curious enough to look into the Statements/Incidents. He's the only curious one so the Eye can latch onto him and draw him in. He's the only one to actually listen to the text to speech when it comes on. He wants to look deeper. He cares. He's curious. And that's exactly what will lead him to investigating the Fears.
