Okay so Iā€™m just watching Scottā€™s P.O.V of Limited Life and now Iā€™ve seen Skizzleā€™s compliment towards him. And heā€™s absolutely right about Scottā€™s energy but thatā€™s not what this post is about.
This is the third compliment at least so far what I know- that Skizz has went up to a member and just said the nicest things- likeā€” is this his plan to win Limited Life? To suck up even if heā€™s absolutely right and his words are true- is it his plan to get on the members good side and not be killed by them or form some protection by them?
Because honestly that maybe the most smartest thing Anyone could have done. Like Skizz is a mastermind behind flattery, bro could bribe someone into giving something to him by just saying the most kindest things ever!
I actually kinda hope it isnā€™t a plan and Skizz is genuinely going up to the members of the Limited Life Series and saying this cute kind stuff out of his heart.
I am going to watch his P.O.V as soon Iā€™m done with Scottā€™s.

bigb is usually so resistant to putting his trust in one person, one group. this session he was still paranoid that skizz and tango might turn on him, that this task might make the entire server every person for themselves. but when it came down to it, he was defending his boys and he was there for him. when he was paranoid and alone, he went to go find skizz. in the end, he stated multiple times that skizz was the only person he could trust. he didn't team up with anyone else after skizz died, he just hid. even if he never wanted to admit it or fully believe it, the heart foundation was his family too

what i think some people don't realize about skizz is that. that guy is NOT pg. i mean technically he is? but... honestly. he's like sausage. it's subtler but once you notice. he does Not stop making innuendos and dirty jokes like. ever (over-exaggeration but still)
and then there's the podcast. take this post from @theworstbiscet
for those wondering yes he fucking did. body language and the exact length of the bleep noise? yeah he did.
imp & skizz podcast is a *prime* location for Concerning, definitely-not-pg clips from skizz
also just wanted to share this quick animation from the lovely @colliewolf because a) i can't find the original clip and b) collie's art is amazing and you need to see it !
i'm going off the top of my head so here's two more! though i don't have the time or energy to find the clips, we also have-
"I can't beat off four people at once!"
(this was physically painful to type) "Get in the butt! Are you in yet?"
what the Fuck is his idea for the poe poe office. why is that so. dick shjaped

ok so. forgive me for a second but i've been abnormal about skizz and ren since the hiatus between third life and last life and holy shit this season is already not helping.
let's talk about skizz, ren, undying loyalty, and golden apples, shall we?
so the thing that you need to understand about skizz is that he is loyal to a fault. impulse literally says this exact thing about him in limited life, and skizz himself says himself: "you know me and my factions, i never turn." the second thing is that the first person their loyalty manifests for in third life is ren. he and ren run into each other on the second night when ren is getting accosted by mobs outside skizz's door and skizz gives him a place to stay the night. ren decides to trade skizz for his leather, for the upcoming enchanting buisness, and gives skizz a golden apple in exchange. skizz thinks this is wildly more than he deserves but is very thankful. skizz doesn't say it here, but this is the moment he swears his loyalty to ren.
throughout third life, he is willing to do or get basically anything for ren. the two of them literally die together to the tnt trap. when ren dies on the alter and everyone thinks martyn betrayed him, skizz is the first person to get there in the morning. he's in half broken gold armor and borrowed tools from bigb and he still tells ren "get behind me", still tries to protect him from martyn. when skizz is on red, he goes a bit crazy, but he channels that bloodlust into protecting ren. he kills jimmy in the red desert, he kills cleo when she tries to attack ren, he chases down impulse when he betrays dogwarts and dies trying to kill him.
when skizz dies in third life, he's got an unused golden apple in his hotbar. after he dies, he remembers the first time he met ren, etho, and martyn, and he spends quite a bit of time on his memory of ren and ren appears in his first memory of etho. after he dies, ren wields a blade named in his honor.
skizz spends third life loyal to ren- he dies for him and he dies with him.
in last life, ren and skizz end up on completely different sides, and it very quickly gets bad because when ren becomes boogey, he kills skizz. he lures him into a trap. he tells skizz he loves him. skizz literally says "i am broken hearted" when ren kills him. ren holds no regard for the relationship they used to have and yet skizz cannot help but compliment ren's skill with the trap, outright says he can't be mad at ren.
and then it only gets worse because skizz tries to storm ren's tower with impulse after they've gone red. and that! doesn't go well! and while skizz is retreating, while he is eating the golden apple in his hot bar, ren shoots him dead.
and that is the last time they've spoken. two years ago.
because skizz isn't in doublt life. and ren isn't in limited life.
and when skizz's time comes in limited life, he ensures he doesn't have a golden apple in his inventory this time. this time, he hands the apples off to his teammates, where he knows they will go to good use. and then he hands etho a diamond fucking axe (red winter is coming) and asks him to execute him for the sake of their alliance. ok! sure! fill ren's role more explicitly, why don't you!
and that first session of secret life genuinely only made it worse. when skizz is talking to tango and cleo about their alliance, skizz says he wants to give leadership over to someone else: "i want to be more of a soldier than a leader this time." cleo says she'll fill the roll of leader- she doesn't take orders well - and then seals their alliance by giving tango and skizz a golden apple each. because of course she does.
and well, we all know that didn't really work out, so that's one person off the list that skizz can fill the dogwarts shaped hole in him with, so then he goes to bdubs. he says he'll lay his sword at bdubs' feet. he says he'll win bdubs with his loyalty. he calls bdubs "my leige", jesus christ dude, you couldn't be less subtle unless you straight up called him ren's name.
skizz has been (whether accidentally or on purpose is up to you) trying to recreate the experience he had with dogwarts, and particularly what he had with ren, since the moment dogwarts fell. he can't have it with ren because he missed his only chance in last life, so he'll fill the void with whoever he can. his fellow soldier. ren's successor. ren's new kingmaker. anyone. and it's never gonna work. i need ren to come back for like, 900 reasons, but i especially need him to come back so skizz can have a shot at making it to spring.

Secret Life if everyone had only one life
Most health losses remain the same as they were accidents: mobs, heights and generally being a little dumb.
Scott never stops Jimmy and Scar from talking as Jimmy has done severely better in this continuity never being out first, maybe he even joins in the conversation for a while before walking off.
With Third Life being completely different Scar never gives Grian the cactus monopoly as that has no significance. Perhaps he gives him sugarcane as Double Life has taken Third Lifes place as the birth of Scarian? Thinking about it Scarian would probably be referred by fandom as Bamboo duo or Panda Duo having been created in Double Life.
Session 1 remains basically the exact same for everything else mostly, same for most of session 2.
Martyn still goes to the Nether and is killed by the piglin, he is the first player out of the game.
Session 3 is where the changes start...
Joel doesn't reroll his task for a hard one as failing would basically mean being extremely close to being out, so he sticks with the deja vu task...which he likely fails as its a task that realistically I can't imagine someone being able to do at all without luck... This means he doesn't die failing the bucket clutch.
Jimmy still dies to the drowned and is out second, the big dogs never happen for obvious reasons. Gem still dies to an enderman while trying to do her task and is the third player out. Lizzie still dies to a skeleton on the water slide and is the fourth player out.
Martyn Isn't there to guess Tango's task so he likely succeeds, he gets 3 hearts and 7 items.
Grian's session 4 task is different as there are no yellows, the same is applied to all tasks that are based on the green-yellow-red life system from here on out, each of them has been slightly changed. In this case he simply needs to convince anyone that singing is his task, which he succeeds. This is easier as it allows for more people to be target but harder since It's harder to be sure you have fooled them without them calling you out as a yellow life...so it evens out. He still joins Cleo and Etho later.
Martyn is also not there to make Scar's life more miserable as he can't cause him to fail, Scar succeeds getting 6 hearts and 4 items.
Etho also never gets his task from Martyns suggestion so aHa Etho never happens.
The same that happened to Grian applies to Skizz, Skizz likely fails either way.
Lizzie is out so she also never makes the paths which means movement across the server is technically more difficult. Also Scotts task is likely failed without Lizzie.
Importantly, without Gem and with everyone having only one life they can't risk the dragon is likely never slain and Bdubs fails his hard task losing 10 hearts.
Without Gem there is also no tower off so no questionable mounder towers, Mumbo never climbs the now Gemless Scotts mountain to judge which is tallest and never falls to his death in the process.
BigB's task is different as stated before, so he probably doesn't betray the heart foundation. No trust issues this time around.
Tango and many others also never lose lifes because there are no red life tasks. Cleo race against Gem is also not a thing which means Cleos task is to simply get people to hand their doors.
Joel can't use Jimmy or Lizzie to target Scott (aka basically two of the few people willing to) so he likely fails his task.
Bdubs is still pushed in the zombie pit by Scar, Mumbo still falls in lava, Skizz still dies to something as his health is extremely low and BigB still dies while fighting the wither. They are fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth out respectively.
With only one life Grian likely doesn't run in front of the wither to press the button, he doesn't die yet... however he does likely have extremely low health so he probably dies against the wither anyway. He's the ninth player out. (Or eight if he dies before BigB)
Scott has the charisma to still complete his task without Gem, so he does. Scott also has 1 heart, he probably dies even without trading his life to Martyn.
Gem is already out of the game, there is no boogeyman/zombie apocalypse in session 7 so ... nobody dies, not even Tango who is never killed by BigB's dog as BigB is out and is later also not killed by the non existant zombie army.
There's also no Angel Jimmy as Grian is out of the game and can't get the task.
At this point in time there are 7 players left in the game: Pearl, Joel, Impulse, Cleo, Etho, Tango and Scar.
Everyone also has very little hearts each as there have been no respawns... Which means when that creeper explodes next to Pearl...she probably doesn't survive it, tenth player out, 6 to go... Knowing Joel erratic behavior gets worse without his teammates he's likely to accidentally kill himself sometimes soon... 5 left.
The last 5: Impulse, Tango, Cleo, Etho and Scar. I can see Impulse and Tango working together... Seeing the weird competition between Scar and Heart foundation I think Tango and Impulse target and kill Scar, 4 left...
Cleo does the nice vs naughty thing, I don't think she gets to kill anyone but I think someone kills them in response... Maybe dogs if she's accidentally punched... 3 left.
With Impulse working with Tango I think they work together to kill Etho putting him in third leaving those two to fight for the win as the finalists... I think Impulse has a higher chance to win...just slightly, the difference isn't that severe, but I think in this case Impulse wins.
The winner of secret life is Saturn.

Okay, the people who are saying The Bad Boys are a disaster waiting to happen... are correct but not for the reason theyā€™re saying!
Ā They are not going to betray each other! They are one of the least likely to betray each other!Ā
Ā First of all, Joel is NOT a lone wolf, the exact opposite in fact! He was only alone in 3rd life. In Last Life he was planning to team up with Scar but he ended up going red life first so he COULDNā€™T be teamed with anyone. Even then he killed Grian specifically so he could have a friend! He was in the middle of the red life packs in Last Life and Double Life! In Double Life he literally wore a shirt with Ethoā€™s face on it! In the most recent session he protected Grian faithfully! Heā€™s really loyal, heā€™s just feral about it. Least likely out of The Bad Boys to betray.
Ā  Ā The only time Jimmy betrayed anybody was The Southlands but there were a lot of extenuating circumstances. He wasnā€™t really close to anybody in that group other than Grian and Martyn but Grian hung out with Mumbo most of the time and Martyn had promised to betray the group with him. When he stole the life he thought Martyn would leave with him! Maybe help him escape! He didnā€™t expect Martyn to betray him! He only betrayed The Southland b/e he though the odds were on his side. Also the larger the group the easier it is to not feel guilty betraying them, itā€™s less personal. The Bad Boys are a group but not a big one, and I would definitely say heā€™s close to Joel and Grian. Also The Bad Boys have more of a group identity than The Southlands. B/e theyā€™re The Bad Boys and The Southlands was more of a loose collection of people who all knew they were going to betray each other eventually.
Ā  Grian is probably the most likely to betray the others but still unlikely. He has a tendency to be loyal to one person specifically regardless of anybody else he teams up with that season. With 3rd Life, it was Scar, Last Life Mumbo, and Double Life BigB. Those are also the ones he ends up killing. He doesnā€™t really follow this pattern in Limited Life since I canā€™t say heā€™s closer to one Bad Boy over the other (Though maybe Joel?) But honestly he makes it pretty clear in his own POV when heā€™s planning to betray his group and he hasnā€™t shown any signs of it yet.
The groups most likely to betray each other are as follows(ranked most to least likely)
Ā  1. T.I.E.S
Ā  2. The Clockers
Ā  3. Bad Boys
Ā  4.Ā  Mean Gills
Ā  5. Nosy Neighbors
Ā  Ā I put T.I.E.S above The Clockers b/e I feel like anybody in TIES could betray each other (like Etho, Tango, or Impulse and Skizz) at any time, Bdubs is the only one I think would betray the Clockers right now. Cleo has A Thing about betraying your day 1 ally and while Scar WOULD betray his group, he doesnā€™t like being alone and would only do it if he knew he wouldnā€™t be.
Ā  Ā  Despite everything I typed here, The Bad Boys are still themselves and are unpredictable.
Ā  Ā Honestly the Mean Gills and the Nosy Neighbors are both pretty much tied b/e Scott and Martyn are both too pragmatic and BigB and Pearl are both too one unit. I put Mean Gills as 4th b/e we all know Martyn only joined Scott b/e Ren wasnā€™t there and the other groups had already established themselves. Heā€™s also honestly the most lone wolf out of everybody in the server.

OUROBOROS
Set after session 3. I am so normal about them lol
Now that it isnā€™t going to kill him, Etho grabs his snail and runs to a small corner in his copper home. After all of that, he needs something to hold, as well as the sweet metallic sting that emanates from his walls, to ground him.
He doesnā€™t know why heā€™s freaking out like this, but itā€™s probably the cows. The cows that he killed. The cows that burned Tangoā€™s house down. The cows that sent Scar on a goose chase, exacting revenge on the wrong people. Yeah, itā€™s the cows causing Etho this whole hullabaloo.
He can hear Bdubs complaining in his own stone mausoleum of a house next door.
(Earlier, he had caught wind that Bdubs hadnā€™t done anything remotely ā€˜toughā€™ to the Bam trio, and it got him points on that silly board of theirs. Wasnā€™t it Bdubs who had suggested they target them? Him who brought up the idea of being the Tuff Guys in the first place; placed himself as leader? Bdubs who, completely out of character, had said that alliances meant nothing?)
Etho tries to block out the noise, take in the feeling of grass underneath him, the residual smell of smoke in the air. In front of him, his snail moves in circles, unsure where its directive has gone. Back to the cows. Unfairly, he had killed them. Unfair is the wrong word here- cruelly? Definitely cruel more than unfair; unfair means he did it to an advantage on his part. Etho wasnā€™t doing it for the advantage, he was doing it for-
(Last season, he wouldā€™ve been doing it for Grian and Cleo. Season before that, for Skizz and Tango and Impulse. Before, beforeā€¦)
The muffled voice of Bdubs makes itself clear for a single moment: something about sick satisfaction. Heā€™s either complaining about Grian, or heā€™s yelling at the man himself. If anyone talked back, Etho couldnā€™t hear it. The snail is still going in circles.
(Funny, how the brain will focus on the things you donā€™t want to hear. Funny, too, how cyclical everything is, when it involves him. Funnily enough, his mind conjures the snake eating its own tail, the one with venom dripping from puncture wounds.)
Etho grips the grass underneath him and lets go, once, twice. The past few days havenā€™t seen a drop of rain, which means everything had turned a weird, dead yellow just before this session. A hollow huff forces its way out of his chest, body naturally laughing at the patterns in everything. The snail, for the first time, expresses a layer of depth more than directive and changes direction, heading towards the door. He watches it go towards the parched fields.
Etho breaths in, holds, breathes out. Pushes himself up onto unsteady feet, holds onto the oxidizing wall for support. Pushes off of that too. Listens once more- Bdubs has stopped shouting, and now the gentle quiet of nature has returned to the air. The weight that was sending him spiraling has left him, along with his need to question why.
(Because it had taken all of 10 minutes for him and Bdubs to get into their first argument of the season. Because he keeps thinking about horses, and cows, and snails and snakes biting their own tails until they choke. Because once upon a time, he had half-promised some semblance of protection, and it literally blew up in his face. Because neither of them know how to be without the other, it always goes bad for both. Because Etho cannot stop reviving something that has been dead for years.)
He opens his eyes, and walks away, towards the family he was promised.

Ok, so starting with Jimmy, my thoughts are mainly based on the animatic and less of Jimmy as a character. Essentially I view him as the person who tries to die in order to save the ones he cares about, and he does over and over again. (I view him as doing this in order to show the inevitability of death each season to try to get his allies to not be complacent in the games) But the part that I think is interesting that no one seems to talk about, is that he fails every time. In third life, his death caused Scott to die trying to avenge him, in Last Life, Martyn died trying to make a deal with a watcher to save him, Double Life doesn't work as well, but you could say that his death caused Tango to die of grief. Then in limited life, Jimmy dies in the exact way that Grian is going to die, but his warning is completely useless and Grian dies in the exact same ways anyways. (I headcanon that this made him finally realize that his deaths were meaningless and the "curse" ends). My thoughts on Pearl started later and kind of build off these thoughts with Jimmy (also kind of based on the posts bigb enthusiast and mapleejay made on nosy neighbors canary in a coal mine). Pearl in Limited Life and Secret Life is desperately trying to be the "canary", using her death in order to save her allies and let them win. In limited life she does this literally with BigB, repeatedly giving him her time. However, she fails as a canary, she outlives the coal miner. Then in Secret Life she has new allies and makes the same promise to them, that she will do anything to get them to win. But then again they all die before her. But then there's scar. Pearl desperately clings to the idea that Scar can be the one that she saves with her death, she makes him an honorary mounder, and then tries to sacrifice herself to him before the final fight but he refuses. Then they win the fight and are the only two left. (next part is mainly headcanony) So then Pearl is left here in the same position Scott was, able to finally sacrifice herself to let her ally win. But Scar doesn't give her time, he immediately betrays her, because he was never a mounder, that was just Pearl desperately needing someone to save. And so she is killed by Scar unable to save anyone
You and I have completely different interpretations of what a canary is (partially why I don't generally vibe with canary Jimmy), and also who Life!Jimmy is, but this is really cool!
For me, Jimmy isn't a canary because, and I'm not saying this to be mean but it's true, his deaths are kind of meaningless. Or maybe not meaningless, but they don't teach anyone anything other than people are going to start perma-dying. This may be a deep pull, but if you watch RPDR or Survivor, there's always a moment when the first person has gone home and someone says, like, "Well it's gotten real now" because even if you know someone has to go first, it's still a hard thing.
Jimmy isn't dying on purpose, and his deaths are ultimately meaningless once the actual blood bath starts and people start killing each other vs his deaths which are accidents or to mobs. Maybe crow is a better bird for him honestly, or raven. A bad omen. The tragedy of Life!Jimmy is that, well, he just keeps getting screwed over by small mistakes that kill him. Letting go of shift for a second or looking an enderman in the eye or not choosing the right path to avoid a warden. He's the universe's punching bag.
Pearl is very specifically a canary in Wild Life because her deaths are warnings. Don't shift near edges because the hit boxes are wonky and you'll fall, don't try to put a shield up because you'll eat your weapon, the snails can instamine blocks and leap over one block gaps. She's not dying on purpose, but her deaths are meaningful. She will be useful, in life or death. She must be. I don't really see Canary!Pearl for the other life series. Yes, she sacrifices herself to give BigB time, but if that's canary criteria, so are Skizz and Scott.
I also don't necessarily see what Scar did as a betrayal. There's two of them left, only one can win. Pearl expressed repeatedly that she didn't want to win, she wanted one of the other Mounders to win. By making Scar a last minute honorary Mounder, she has a duty to lose to him. Yes, she technically didn't sacrifice herself, but I don't think she was fighting to win. Someone who's fighting to win doesn't tell their opponent about the zombie behind them. They don't ignore the golden apple in their hot bar. Hell, she only even got one hit in on Gem because she wanted to step away and let Scar beat Gem himself.

Wild Life - Episode 3 Recap
Welcome back to another episode of Wild Life!
I had to post this week's recap a bit later than usual, but, for once, that does mean that all perspectives will be included in the initial post! That means that all videos should be linked right at the start, and all the stats should be accurate, barring anything I've outright missed. It was quite a bit harder to keep track of the lives this session, and so if you think I may have anything wrong, please just let me know!
With that in mind, this week, we had...
Wildcard #3: The Immortal Snail
This week, the server faced an interesting conundrum: each of the Life series-members would have to face their own immortal snail. It cannot be killed, it cannot be trapped, and it will find them no matter what.
GeminiTay (6 lives, +3 places)
Smajor1995 (6 lives, +6 places)
SmallishBeans (6 lives, +6 places)
Bigbst4tz2 (5 lives, -2 places)
Grian (5 lives)
LDShadowLady (5 lives, +1 place)
ZombieCleo (5 lives, +8 places)
EthosLab (4 lives, -5 places)
BdoubleO100 (3 lives, -8 places)
ImpulseSV (3 lives, -4 places)
InTheLittleWood (3 lives)
MumboJumbo (2 lives, +4 places)
PearlescentMoon (2 lives, +4 places)
Rendog (2 lives, -2 places)
Solidarity (2 lives, -2 places)
GoodTimeswithScar (1 life, -6 places)
Skizzleman (*1 life, +1 place)
TangoTek (1 life, -4 places)
*Important note: Skizz had a bit of an odd situaiton near the end of his episode that I'd like to acknowledge, since I now know that I misunderstood some of the rules this season and so I figured this may be helpful if anyone else has, too. After Skizz turned red (and around 43:05 in his perspective), Scar drowned while trying to escape from him. Skizz also claimed the kill in the in-game chat (as seen, for example, in Grian's perspective, around 42:11), so I had initially assumed this should have meant Skizz was to gain a life from causing Scar's death by drowning. However, by the end of the session, it's shown that Skizz is still red, which I thought might have been a mistake. I've now seen that Skizz has explained this situation in a comment under his video: even though he is allowed to kill any other player as a red, he is only able to gain a life back if he takes out a dark green player. Since Scar was light green when he died, Skizz can still be credited with the kill, but he wasn't going to gain any lives from it. In Skizz's exact words: "I just had to get it done because I thought he smoked me unprovoked!" I hadn't realized that the reds were playing by this rule when it came to regaining lives this season, so I thought it might be a good thing to explain here, ahead of the next session next week!

tell me about your life series aa au šŸ™
I'm so glad you asked!!
Let's begin with who I think could be a defense attorney
Mumbo
Gem
Scott
Scar
And of course, it's not an AA au if the defense doesn't have their weird girl co-counsel!
Mumbo gets Lizzie! I absolutely adore their dynamic (from what we get to see) and it is very reminiscent of Apollo and Trucy (for me). Lizzie would fake hold herself hostage and Mumbo would cry because he was worried abt her.
Gem gets Impulse! Again I love their dynamic. Gem is probably the one who screams defense attorney to me most, and considering her relationship with Impulse it seems fitting he supports her in court.
Scott gets Jimmy! Flower husband fans will be pleased. To be completely honest, this pair up was more a matter of these two being the last ones in their respective categories, but I think it offers an interesting dynamic. The cool and collected with the more wild co-counsel. Typically the defense is very uncool and never collected. This one is giving Kay and Edgeworth if u squint (a lot).
Scar gets Bdubs! Fun fact, Scar was originally also a co-counsel, but the idea of him and Bdubs on defense together was too good an opportunity to miss. Bdubs 100% is giving weird girl energy. His thing is moss. All the weird girls have a Thing (Maya is spirit channeling, Trucy is magic, Kay is thievery) and Bdubs's Thing is moss. I haven't figured out my other "weird girls" things yet tho. I am open to suggestions.
Now for the prosecution we have
Grian
Etho
Cleo
Joel
Pearl
I think the vibes here aren't as strong as the defense but they still make sense.
Grian might be the weakest on this list. I know he often gives himself the label of detective, but he just didn't seem the type in the AA universe. The reason he's on prosecution is because he is stubborn and impulse enough to accuse the most likely subject and stick with that till the end (ignore the Jangler incident in s6). Also all of Edgeworth's sprites give Grian. Grian fits the Edgeworth sprite gallery to a T
Etho just feels like a prosecutor. He's smart, prepared, calm, and smug. I could see some Blackquill parallels here. He would also bring a bird to court that might attack you.
Cleo is another that just feels right at the prosecutor's desk. She is witty and sarcastic. It would be difficult to persuade them. Cleo also loves a bit of corruption, a past time for most prosecutors.
Joel is abbrassive and head strong. He is SO Franziska Von Karma. He would attack in the middle of court. He would attack the judge. He would call you stupid in the exact mannerisms of Franziska's "fools". Joel is sooo an overconfident prosecutor who is actually so fun and beloved.
Finally, Pearl. She was especially hard to place. I had trouble deciding between defense or prosecutor for her. In the end I settled on prosecution, but I think it would be fun if she had a Godot situation. That is, she was a defense attorney but switched after some traumatic incident (maybe she worked with Scott before!). Pearl can be calculated when she needs to be and crazed when she wants to be. She would provide an interesting opponent. Especially given her connections to most of the defense attorneys.
Now for our detectives:
Bigb
Tango
Ren
Skizz
Bigb somewhat aloof but silly. He let's the defense into crime scenes because they gave him a cookie. He often works with Grian, who likes Bigb too much to scream at him abt anything. Bigb is also prob like Ema Skye with her snackoos.
I could see Tango similarly to Gumshoe. He often works with Pearl and Etho (PET Mail), and he trusts them to prove someone guilty if they really are. He also gets along with the defense attorney's well, so he lets them investigate, as long as they promise not to tell his superiors.
Ren is giving Gumshoe in a much more "pathetic wet cat" way. He is underpaid. He is running around constantly. He is too tired to stop the defense getting in. He often works with Cleo. They have a similar dynamic to Edgeworth and Gumshoe.
And Skizz. He is excited to do his job. He gets along with everyone. He lets the defense in because he trusts that they are doing the right thing. He doesn't think it's fair if they don't get to investigate!
And finally, the judge
Martyn. I can't explain why, it just is Martyn. Somehow it makes the most sense. Martyn.

Some Tango, rancher and Etho (!?) thoughts as I finished up Tango's POVs for 3rd, Limited and Secret Life
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it is near empty in this skull of mine so bear with my poor analysis skills if you can call it that. This is walls of text that I'm not expecting anyone to fully read but it's nice to get my own thoughts in order for the future, somewhat!
ahem Tango thoughts
Tango's loyalty KILLS ME. Similarly to Impulse in 3rd Life he recognizes the value in allyship but struggles to maintain any concrete ones, and then goes from a double agent to someone playing all sides, but even so, whoever his allies are at a given moment, unless he's been severely wronged by them, he's straight devoted to them. He seems to switch on a dime in 3rd life going from team to team, but that's not because of lack of care and he puts his best foot forward for them anyway. He wants to be trusting of and trusted by Etho even after their alliance strains, he was quick to defend the Crastle and offer reassurance to Cleo even after declaring the Crastle to be his enemies, he fought against Dogwarts alongside Impulse, refusing to back off even when it became certain death after Impulse died, etc
He might have a tendency to die stupid deaths but he did seem to have his value recognized unlike Last Life, where he was allied with the same people for almost all of it. He sacrificed a lot for team BEST to ultimately get no more than a pat on the back. I already made a post about this but I'm not gonna shut up about it!! The way he kind of gets tossed around begrudgingly when he's very rightfully upset about Dbubs killing him, and others just keep joking about his anger and treating him as dispensable, ahh it saddens me. Skizz WAS nice to him but even he, in the end, came over to try and threaten and intimidate Tango once he was red. Reds in Last Life took the breaking of any previous alliances seriously, as did Tango once he was also red, but even so
Then ofc Double Life <3
And in Limited and Secret Life he seems to have his value largely recognized again and is able to secure good teams, to whom, again, he's SO loyal to. He always has been, ever since 3rd Life and even in Last Life after the boogie incident. I don't think he ever wronged his teammates in ANY substantial way. He very openly made a deal for Scar to kill BDubs and that's probably the worst he's done, and even then, not like Scar did a very good job... But Tango is also someone who often talks big game (eg "oh just wait until I'm red" etc) only to not be very fatal to anyone. He threatened BDubs a lot but ultimately, hardly harmed him
Tango's devotion is undying and he really wants to trust people. He'd rather put up with team BEST making fun of his rightful anger than leave or harm them, and he's quick to join back up with the Crastle because he wants people by his side. He makes himself a good asset to prove his trustworthiness, if even subconsciously, because he certainly trusts whoever he manages to settle with first. I was kind of surprised at how much faith he had in team TIES as he was being hunted down by the entire server for being the last green name. He hardly ever doubted them and wasn't afraid to immediately come out of hiding upon finding them (and ofc then sacrificing himself for Skizz)
Tango's response to combat is VERY often to cower away somewhere. Maybe he's just being cautious but nevertheless his immediate reaction tends to be to back away, and he's admitted many times himself that he just hesitates. I think this has happened a few times but in LimL in particular he called Etho out for fleeing combat when the Bad Boys attacked them and the Clockers, even though Tango did basically the exact same thing. As if he doesn't even always realize when he's cowering off to the side? But seeing the ways that he usually gets himself killed, yeah! Understandable! Lol. And yet when things get dicey, he more often than not goes against this nature to abstain. Third Life, instead of fleeing from a battle against 3(4?) people once Impulse dies, he goes back in and dies. Last Life, he takes one for the team by charging at a minecart (though granted, in the moment he didn't seem to think it'd kill him, he did charge in without much thought). Limited Life, he refuses to disengage and gets himself killed in his pursuit of Scar instead of eating to heal from his half a heart of health and Secret Life.... oh ho ho
Tango's not as literally sacrificial as Skizz or Scott, and he might not be very good at protecting his friends due to his tendency to abstain from combat (because he's not much good at it so again, understandable) but he's very firm about who his friends are and man, does he do his best. 9/10 times he makes a good effort at best (lest we forget, the man has gotten very few legit kills across all five seasons) but then there are times like when he physically put himself between Etho and Martyn in LimL when Etho called for his help, even when it looked like Tango was trying to maintain distance from the confrontation. And Secret Life...!!!
First of all, got half the server to support him in the last session by giving him hearts ofc, very nice, very cute, very deserved. But secondly, I will not stop thinking about him going against Scar's deal. He was so very adamant about not hurting, let alone killing Skizz and very begrudgingly accepted Scar's offer for a heart in exchange for him swiping Skizz once. Only for Tango to start attacking Scar later, proclaiming that he could never betray Skizz. My condolences to Scar but fuck yeah, king shit!! He showcases his loyalty again but also just straight up initiates combat and goes at it for a bit. Like many times before he just gets kinda feisty as things get closer to the end, I suppose! Even when he doesn't really have many hearts to spare. I'm here for this
I have thoughts about Etho and him specifically too but thats below
Rancher thoughts
Firstly just some rancher moments that I'm sure all the rancherers already have seared into their brains but I'm noting them for me because I've seen them for the first time now:
Jimmy in LimLife, all bad boy, hits Tango and then immediately turns around to apologize to his rancher
When Tango gets blown up by Joel, upon returning, Jimmy bombards Tango with questions about how it went down
And it stuck out to me because it reminded me so much of the way Jimmy tries to inquire Tango about the amount of hearts he dealt to him in Secret Life (and ofc Tango being all indirect with his replies which ends up sounding like some strange off-brand flirting). Also Tango intentionally running into Jimmy's TNT and then sticking around him instead of fleeing. Also also "I like seeing Tango's reaction when he sees me, it's nice, he makes these weird sounds". That entire ordeal in session 5 is such gold
When Skizz is doing his affirmation thing with Jimmy in LimL, Tango and Impulse eavesdrop and Tango jokes about how embarrassing that was and that he needs to throw up right to their faces. And the way Jimmy had absolutely zero hostile reaction whatsoever. Even when it quieted down and he thanked Skizz, Skizz referred to "those idiots" and Jimmy's all "what idiots?" lmao. But then maybe he was just too taken aback by Skizz's kindness (of course he's also in on the jokes and doesn't always play up the upset factor, but I mean, it WAS his rancher very loudly voicing his disgust), which breaks my heart just a wee bit after all the kindness he got from Tango just one series prior, the same Tango who barely partakes in all the jokes going around at Jimmy's expense. But then, it's not like he made any direct jabs at Jimmy, I don't think he ever has but I might be wrong? And was playfully disgusted by the corny interaction in general, including Skizz
Ok I knew of this one but Jimmy interrogating Tango when his task was to talk to Torchy, but also I just love it so much that Flower Husbands is kind of in the mix too with Scott telling Jimmy to do the thing, for Jimmy to then attempt to do the thing, then defend Tango to Scott's face, to then attempt to do the thing again and get it completely wrong even though Scott knew exactly what Tango's task was and gave Jimmy all the pieces
Pearl giving Tango a pity flower only for Jimmy to immediately walk over and accidentally pick it up. Reminds me of when the same happened with baked potatoes in DL
I don't actually have a lot to add here for the rancher stuff, except that I think it's neat how the nature of Tango's alliances aligned? Which I just went into detail about but I think it's poetic that it went from Tango struggling to find one sure alliance, to Tango being in a mostly stable alliance but his worth largely unrecognized, to assigned soulmate ranchers, where Jimmy gave him all the affirmation in the World, even as the others made fun of them, and then Tango having very dependable alliances since then. Something something the way Jimmy rightfully supported Tango, seeing him for all his worth, and then Tango not having to settle for (much) less since then. That's just the way things happened to go but hey, I don't know about you but I see fanfic material and stuff about Jimmy leaving a mark on the course of Tango's Life series, or something
Going back to the Skizz affirmation thing for a moment too, I think it's also neat to compare how good he is at voicing intricate affirmation vs, well, Tango. Jimmy seemed so very genuinely touched by Skizz's kindness, something he obviously isn't subjected to a lot, except for Tango in Double Life with all his ornately worded "Great job!"s and "You're awesome!"s. That's just the thing that I love about ranchers sooo much that they're hardly ever graceful in what they do or say, more just bundles of strong emotions than anything, but they mesh oh so perfectly
suddenly Etho thoughts
Unrelated to ANYTHING but Etho's so cute!! Like ok, what else is new but ahh, just stuck out to me, probably because Tango keeps getting allied with him one or another way for half the seasons. I grinned so widely each time he went around "team meeting, team meeting!" or "banana!" in his small voice, and for me, nothing so far has topped the moment of him running into the TIES group, yelling for someone to help him craft some powered rails
Ok anyway it was SO nice to see his undying loyalty towards Tango in LimLife after what happened in 3rd and Last Life. It reminds me so much of his heartwrenching loyalty in Secret Life where he absolutely refused to give away his teammates' locations even as the success of his task depended on it. In the manhunt in session 4, the one person who saw Tango, completely vulnerable before he could continue his escape attempt was Etho, and the WAY Etho doesn't have immediate vocal reactions like so many of the other lifers do and can just stay silent is soo. I don't know man. It works wonders to make him intimidating but then there's also moments like this, the way he stays totally silent on more than one occasion so as not to risk betraying his teammates, and when he does speak, it's to give false information or whatever it takes to protect them. And just as with Cleo and Grian, in LimL with Tango, he was defending the last remaining green/s! That adds absolutely nothing lmao just an observation that I felt the need to point out
In Secret Life Tango and Etho also team up somewhat at the very end, at which Tango says "I'll carry you, as usual" which is a line that tickles me. Like, true, Tango has done a lot for Etho in their previous alliances but in LimL, it felt a lot more balanced, if not the other way around altogether. Again, the manhunt!! Not that Etho's attempt to misguide the others helped at all, but it's the sentiment that matters... Etho had Tango's back all throughout LimL and that makes me so happy. deserved

someoje said to come to you over this so. CANNOT get over gemtho. they're literally so cute wtf
its so stupid because like there are a billion reasons why this doesn't work relating to their compatibility and personality and all that shit but at the same time like
???? Im just saying they'd be cute kissing each other in that tunnel and cuddling and etho is so laid back and serene and its the exact opposite of gems frantic energy and they kinda rub off on each other (figuratively) as in etho makes gem more chill when they're both just going about their day or exploring and when gem wants to Commit various felonies and crimes and end up in jail etho will go along with it because he will forever deny it but he imagines a life with her every night when he goes to sleep in his house and in bed in the dark apart they feel a part of them missing so they do their best to walk together in the light
h
ive just realised this is hardly a question. my interminable yapping will not cease but I do still want to get the point across so.... what makes u ship it :3333
i would actually really disagree with the lack of compatibility thing?
i think that gem is outgoing but still introverted, and she really loves talking to people and making a lot of friends, as well as helping out those friends! we see this with skizzā€™s terraforming, building the pathing infrastructure near cherry mountain, and with her letting etho take whatever he wants from her base! but at the same time that she is helpful, she is not a people pleaser. sheā€™s assertive and funny. she goes up to her friends chests and takes stuff out bc ā€œthese are mine now actuallyā€ but she has the ability to do that bc sheā€™s so charismatic and easy to love!
and this plays very well with ethoā€™s general awkwardness to the point of nigh agoraphobia at some points. (i hc c!etho as selectively mute bc he just. doesnā€™t/canā€™t talk if he feels socially anxious. he accidentally built up a persona of cool and aloof despite being the wettest cat alive.) i am very new here but i think the first time they spoke to each other for an extended period of time was while gem was teaching him how to fight. and bc gemā€™s charisma comes from being adaptable to situations but still maintaining her personality, she was able to teach etho a lot (counter-critting, stopping sprinting in order to crit, crit combos) and they both very clearly enjoyed it a lot! etho and gem were laughing and talking basically the whole time, and i think thatā€™s where their dynamic of mutually teasing each other as a way to show affection started. gem didnā€™t treat etho like someone on a pedestal they could never reach, and she also didnā€™t expect him to be amazing right away. she let him be fallible and we know that all of the ppl etho is close to do the same things. every duo etho is a part of has a strong dynamic of mutual teasing. him and bdubs, him and cleo, him and joel, and more recently him and tango. with tango though that relationship is pretty new and so a lot of their interactions are just focused on redstone.
and i donā€™t think gem is that feral or frantic? she gets very absorbed into her projects and she likes being silly with it. she also Commits to the Bit. but i donā€™t think, at least this season, sheā€™s very off-the-wall. again, iā€™m new here, and iā€™ve only seen gemā€™s perspective of her s10 videos and the hide and seek one, so i am still new to her character/persona.
i think one reason ppl may think of her as feral is because of the way she interacts with specifically etho. and also the ā€œgeminislayā€ nickname. but sheā€™s more than that nickname. in all of the clips of them in decked out, she is at max energy and is constantly punching/fighting etho, but theyā€™re both giggling like schoolgirls the entire time. she doesnā€™t do that to other ppl though, so itā€™s not just her general personality. itā€™s her cute aggression instinct. sheā€™s infatuated with etho so naturally her reactions to anything he does are going to be exaggerated and over the top. but sheā€™s not always seized by that cute aggression instinct, sheā€™s absolutely able to hang out with etho while at a lower level of intensity. etho though does sometimes instigate bc he also thinks sheā€™s adorable. he hit her like 6 times as they dug the tunnel, iā€™m not convinced that all of those were accidental.
and etho isnā€™t laid back and serene, heā€™s earnest and silly and intelligent but also very uncomfortable in most social situations. the recent clip of him literally being a wet cat while asking beef for shulkers (he wants them nyeow!!) is a bit of an insight into how he is actually very silly! his little ā€œoh schnappersā€ is also a good example. he just doesnā€™t always show it or show that he cares bc he doesnā€™t know how to do it in a way that isnā€™t awkward, and the feeling of awkwardness is like his least favorite feeling in the entire world.
sorry all that to say: they are incredibly compatible and iā€™m making them kiss. sillies.

6, 16 for the life series asks
6. if you had to make a completely new alliance out of players that haven't teamed up before, who would you choose?
ok i think about hypothetical life series alliances all the time. my Ideal life series alliance is skizz, bigb, and jimmy. technically skizz and bigb have teamed up before but, let's be so real, not really? i would also love to see mumbo and skizz team up because i'm obsessed with the like four glimpses we've had of their dynamic (again, they have technically teamed up when they were both red in last life but like... did they really?)
16. are there any mechanics/gimmicks you'd get rid of, if given the choice? if yes, why?
i really had to think about this one, and honestly? i don't think so! i guess maybe the random number of lives from last life? but i feel entirely neutral about that gimmick, so. third life's gimmick is classic. the only part of last life i don't really like is the boogey (blasphemy i know) but i like the boogey in liml! double life soulmates are iconic point blank. i know i'm the minority but i loved liml's gimmicks, and secret life has been nothing but fun so far! truly, the only mechanic/gimmick thing i feel strongly about is that i would kill to see life giving come back the way it did in last life and to possibly extend to resurrecting Dead Dead players, and that is the exact opposite of this question, lol.

Ranchers
When I see Ranchers art I immediately know that it's most likely you/hj
No but, you draw your characters incredibly shape-y with no two characters having the exact same body type. You exaggerate certain features in a character's body which is incredibly serotin inducing.
You also excel at drawing faces, you have the exact opposite of same face syndrome and I absolutely love that. Character expressions are also something that you do beautifully.
You have a very specific sort of lineart that is just *chef's kiss*
I- I swear I draw more than ranchers... I swear.........
Well that's three for three mentioning expressions. Tbh I've gotten that compliment in the past and I never really got it? I def do my best on expressions but I never thought I was especially amazing at it I'm kinda curious what it is about them.
I love drawing different body types even if there's certain types I'm either bad at (very fat men) or really hate (buff men) but I try to draw them for the sake of characterization! I love character design, I love thinking about every little aspect of the character and what it can say about them. It's fun, like putting together a puzzle. I assure you I have thought way too hard about every design choice.
The face thing thouh I'll give you a secret! I treat (most of) them like a picrew, I have a couple sets of each type of feature and most my characters are mix and matches of them! Pearl and Jimmy have the same jaw and mouth and nose, while Lizzie, Gem, and Hermes all have the same anime eyes, as example. I do often give key features something unique, like Grian and Impulse's eyes, or skizz and joel's jaws. Also when designing faces I find a lot of people don't usually bother with making the ears distinct unless it's making them pointy or so on for inhuman characters, but for Jimmy and Joel I make sure to give their (human) ears a very large, round shape, whereas with Joe Hills I square them, and for Stress I hide them to make it less clear how human she really is. Especially in fantasy ears are very important to characterization I find.
Oh I went on a bit of a ramble oop

it's like the only times Scott has died is because he let them (except for Grian's kills)
impulse's shaky "you are the nicest guy ever"
I think I wanna try to keep count of Scott's kills- i'll be inaccurate though
there's so much happening
they did chase him down
omg god it was everyone
scott is shmovin
just turn it into a challenge arena
"why'd your voice go high Joel" "cause I'm scared scott" that is so funny to me
oh I didn't even notice that Joel killed scar. somehow.
SCOTT KILLED JOEL 4. TIMES. INCLUDING THE FINAL KILL.
9 kills total this ep (i think) 4 of which were joel
that was. a lot.
rip bad boys. so while if Grian wins, it will be a bad boy win- i do not care.
but ah now. i kinda hope the mean gills win. i wonder how lore will happen if Martyn wins. considering last season Scott gave the win to pearl (even if they both technically won bc soulmates)
i also hope ties win.
this, surprisingly, has been like the most loyal season.
tbh i don't care as long as someone i watch wins bc that's a team win. but also very excited to see who wins, even if it isn't someone i watch.
time to watch empires now. so many villain arcs

I know I just said I wanted to see other people predictions but here are mine!
Etho/Bdubs start off/get basic materials together again. They do this every season whether they team up or not. It's basically a staple for Bdubs to explain what if happening to Etho while they chop wood. If this does not happen I will riot.
Everyone makes fun of Tim. Like there's just no way this doesnt happen.
Cute Ranchers moment mayhaps? For all the girls and the gays that got left in the desert during the crossover? I think it's what we deserve.
Joel teases Etho whenever they hand out. Boat boys act literally the exact same towards each other which is annoying the crap out of everyone and being just generally shitbags
Tango dies in the most ridiculous way possible, everyone makes fun of him (I'm talking berry bush, im talking suffocation, like really really stupid)
Scar might also die in such ways ^
Skizz tries to reunite the BEST team for like 5 seconds before giving up
Ren and Martyn do a thing together. They have done it literally every season its like the Ethubs starting thing. If Ren and Martyn don't do something stupid together it's not a life series.
Jimmy.... doesnt die first! Someone else dies and he is literally the happiest mfer around (he dies immediately after, but at least it's not first)
Scott and Grian really try to get him killed first and are upset it didnt work
life series scripted jokes
weird Martyn lore and the return of the ah-ha! for a bit when they first get a spyglasses
Someone dies from falling off a cliff
Someone dies from an Enderman
Someone dies from the most gut wrenching betrayal, I feel it guys season 4 if gonna have the worst one. (It'll probably involve Bdubs, he has a tendency to do that in these things cough cough)
Impulse going absolutely bonkers for no reason, Skizz is his hype man. (Bdubs kills him again).
I want a Skizz or Tangotek win. Yaknow what... I just want a Dadā„¢ļø win. I want the winner to be one of the Dads.ā„¢ļø so that they can make funnt jokes about it
^ realistically though, I'm predicting a Cleo or Etho win, I think they have the most chance if they can kill Grian, Joel, and Scott early.
