hi beloveds  !  this is an official hiatus notice from february 1st through 9th since Tania is coming to visit me for a week.  this may come as a surprise but   i have a full queue to run in my absence.  if you recently sent me anything,  the majority of everything should be coming out in the upcoming days.  i will pop up to collect drafts and or to scream about random cute things that happen,  probably.  other than that,  i will not be on the dash at all so please know that i am rooting for you in the background.  i will go back to my normal routine the week of the 10th.  take care of yourselves  !  ♡♡

Went to the doc's office (which involves ~20 min of walking and another 20 or so of buses) and picked up some paperwork I need to get my student loans put on hold

It's not even 4 pm yet. I still have so much day and stuff to do with it

in the lab yesterday i brought in a sample of raspberry essence for the test we were doing (superoxide scavenging assay) and oh my god that thing started a chain of addiction

first it was the lead demonstrator, he came round and sniffed it. and then showed it to a couple of the other demonstrators. every 10 mins or so (it was a 3hr lab) a demonstrator came round and asked for the 'wine gum sample' and they showed it to MORE demonstrators. and eventually other people in the lab started to get curious and came round to smell it. and all these people kept coming back to smell it again like they were getting a hit ?????

at the end of the lab when i was about to dispose of the samples (we cant take any back out of the lab bc of contamination) one of the demonstrators stopped me and asked me to put the raspberry essence in the lab fridge for next week. what

Really funny you ask this rn since I am. Quite literally in the middle of waiting for my cookies to finish baking!

I've made a lot of goodies, but I honestly think my red velvet cheesecake brownie thingies take the cake. Those were damn good.

I posted a picture on the gram and I had people I hadn't talked to in forever begging me for some LMAAAOO

Though I am fond of just simple butter cookies! Easy and turn out great every time. Waiting for them to finish baking currently.

the one issue i do have with tumblr is that you are all so darn far away so when i bake too many cookies i can't just leave those on the shared kitchen table with a little note that says 'please take one, they have bananas and dark chocolate in them. and they are both delicious and too many <3'

y'all, having limited disabled parking in front of my building has fully turned me into a karen. idec anymore. i'm thru playing nice and letting people get away w illegally parking in one of the 3 spots in front of my building. the only spots w hash marks and a curb cut. i took pictures and called the fucking tow truck myself this time. honestly i'm not even sure that's being a karen!! that's you getting what you deserve for taking a VERY limited resource away from disabled people. idk.

AND they have a resident sticker so the apartment knows who it is. reported them to management too. i'm a tired boy and pushing uphill thru the other end of the parking lot in the cold, JUST to reach a curb cut?? yeah no that's not gonna work.
