AHHHHHH
#this post brought to you by: me#i. applied for a preapproval letter for a mortgage yesterday. and spoke to a realtor to start finding me houses#i want to move several states away which further complicated things. but the houses there are CHEAP#like under 100k for a 2 bedroom move in ready#anyways i got approved for 80k with a 20k down payment. and im FREAKING THE FUCK OUT#and because i got that pre app letter i have a loan officer calling me today to talk#and we literally work at the same bank so i can SEE that hes active and hasnt read my message#even though its been 45 minutes. KEVIN MESSAGE ME BACK. IM NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO FOCUS UNTIL I DO THIS CALL#AHHHHHHH S C R E A M. it might happening!!!! i might be finally.mov8ng out in a few months!!!#i mgiht be a HOMEOWNER by the end of the year#i have been saving money for this since i was. 16? 17?#ive had a good well paying job since i was 18.#AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH#once i have a house then i start job searching in that area. and start getting really serious about LEAVING my very good job#which is soooo scary. this job was supposed to be my lifelong career. but then everyone fucking moved to other states and left me behind#so theres no point staying here.#i might never have this kind of job security again.#but also my realtor said that theres a lot of bank jobs in that area so maybe itll be easy to find something#on the fence on if i tell my parents that im Making Moves right now#on one hand its hard to not talk about it becuae im STRESSED TF OUT#but on the other hand when i tentatively mentioned the state i want to move to#richard started yelling and swearing el oh el#might be better to wait and avoid the tension as long as possible?#but also i dont know how they can stay angry when its literally my best option#the other places where my friends live either have 0 opportunity and high housing prices. or are even moe liberal than where im going#idk. why do half of my problems come down to “my parents will be mad” like im a 12 year old or something. shit fucking sucks#this is why i want to get out of here#also it feels weird and bad to talk to my friends about how stressed i am about buying a house when all of them are stressed about#not being able to make rent or something. my problems feel like a brag in a really odd and shitty way. but hey!#if this works out maybe ill start being stressed about how im going to make my mortgage payments! :') yay!

anyway she's on her way back now and it's sunny again. I did get to have the easier but more important of the two conversations beforehand tho, so I have a better idea of what the plan is with the money for the time being.

This post doesn’t have a thesis but, it’s an observation I have that cost-of-living does not go up linearly with improvements to life, it multiplies. Sometimes by huge amounts.
Like are you an adult living with your parents who aren’t charging rent? Maybe your costs are just food mostly. Would you like to move out? That’s reasonable. Except now the cost of living is rent (probably 2-4x what your monthly food cost was or more) and all the utilities.
Are you tired of renting and want to own a house? Thats reasonable. Except that costs an entire down payment, and now property tax and mortgage. And if your sink breaks the plumber’s visit is $150, and materials are $150 and cost of labor is $150. And that’s just the sink. If it’s something worse it can be several months’ worth of what used to be your rent budget spent instantly.
Do you own a house that’s a little dated and weathered and would like to do some renovations? That’s reasonable. The kitchen renovation is $30,000. The bathroom renovation is $20,000. Expect “unexpected” costs to build up along the way.
Do you own a house and want to start a family and give them the best life? Thats reasonable. College across 3 kids is going to be bare minimum $500,000. You’d hate to saddle them with all of that debt so you better start saving now. This saving needs to somehow come out of a budget which is now supporting 3 kids’ worth of food, clothes, daycare, school supplies, sports supplies, family vacations (if you’re lucky enough for those), dental work, braces, medical checkups—

#so I'm losing one of my sources of income at the end of the month cause the barn has to downsize and move to a smaller property#it wasn't a huge amount of money to earn in a month but it gave me a little breathing room on top of my other small but larger pay check#and i'm losing it right as student loan payments are starting up.#I was going to dump all of that into that which was going to cover the expense plus extra#and I would have the money from the other barn I could use to live and save some since I basically have no living expenses rn#since i'm living with my parents and I don't have to panic about money while I give myself one last push to get a job in animation#before I try and do something else cause I have been in a holding/transitional pattern for like a year and a half#and I don't really want to remain in there for much longer cause my mental health is kinda getting worse the longer it goes on#and the more I'm stuck in this house with my parents as well as the pain in my hands and wrists increasing#I just feel trapped and this makes it worse because I have like 100 left over after paying for the student loans and general expenses#so I'm undoubtedly going to use some of that for like basic shit#but if I want to save at all even like 50 a month so I can get out of here i'm just going to not be able to do things and enjoy life#like I already have a fair amount saved but I don't really want to dip into it at all#and I brought up trying to find another barn to work at to my dad but he shut it down really quickly like#'now you can use the extra time to work on finding an animation job' which like thanks#but I have little breathing room with the money i'm earning#and I feel like shit and that I'm trapped with no way out cause working on anything rn feels like a herculean task

you live like Cinderella, used and abused by your so-called family, forced to work all day and live in the barn like a rat. you clean up after them every moment, doing all the chores and cooking all the meals. you're tired, so tired of the punishments that meet you for stepping slightly out of line.
one day, it goes too far. with a broken arm, you hobble back out to the barn, intent on one goal: to get revenge and escape this place.
there's a village witch, you see, who everyone detests. they throw food at her when she comes to the village and taunt her as she buys her groceries. you find your way to her house after dark, and knock on her door. when she sees you, it's as if she expected you, and she has a small stack of ingredients ready.
mix them together over a flame and chant these words, she says. this spell will fix what ails you.
you chant the words and stir the mixture. then, as instructed, you pour it out onto the floor. the whole barn turns red, bright red, and you wonder if you've made a mistake by listening to that old witch.
he appears in a puff of smoke, skin as crimson as the dawn sky, with a spaded tail that flicks like a cat's. he has many horns along his crown, and a snakelike tongue darts out as he regards you.
for what purpose have you summoned me? he asks. but all you have to do is show him your arm, and he understands.
he rains down punishment upon the family, turning their house to ash, sending his fire nymphs to chase and beat them. when the true monsters are burned and bruised, he aims to kill, but you stop him.
that's good enough, you say. you've had your revenge. but you see, he's infuriated at how you've been treated. he wants to end this, to bestow the final blow, but you convince him to let them live with their punishment.
then what else can I do? he asks. where will you go next?
you'll wander, you figure, until you find a new home. at least now you're free.
then I will wander with you. he's not ready to return to the other realm yet, not while you still need his help.
together, you abandon the village before anyone can discover what you've done. deep in the woods, though, there's nowhere to sleep except the circle of the demon's monstrous arms.
I promise I won't use my claws, he says, welcoming you into them. here, ensconced in him, you feel his cock emerge from that pocket at his groin. he doesn't move to use it, but you find you want him to—this creature who saved you, who has helped you without asking for payment in return. he's marvelous, powerful, and strange. perhaps this is how you might reward him.
you spread yourself and slowly, sink down on that massive crimson cock. he groans as you take all of him, soaking up his need, coasting on a river of your desire. you begin at your own pace, until his lust grows overwhelming—and then he throws you down to the forest floor, his eyes wild and red. now he fucks you harder, claiming you, owning you. you're mine now, he mutters, bringing you to your finish over and over again. he will eat your pleasure until there's nothing left, drowning in it.
when you're finished, you sleep; but soon he grows hard again, his craving for you having taken over. when you've restored your strength, he fucks you again, demanding that you never leave him. whichever realm you choose, he'll stay by your side.

PAYPAL | AMAZON WISHLIST | KOFI | GOFUNDME
So we were (thankfully) able to cover most of the charges that came out on the first and pay our storage units. We have two more loan payments coming out on the 10th but I'm not as worried about those as I am the larger loans I have. I make $1200 a month, and I might be able to get help with the two I just made payments on, but the loan I have to make the first payment for on August 3rd is $550, and that's going to wipe me out and I have to have $1000 saved by August 18th to more into temporary (but more stable) housing.
I probably will continue to pay one of the two smaller loans if I can pay one of them off, or pay the largest loan if I can pay the smaller two off, but either way I want to make payments on them to knock what I owe down/pay them off completely, so any help at all would be utterly amazing. And any help raising the $1000 for housing in August would be much appreciated.
EDIT: You guys. We might have an apartment soon! I got an email Friday afternoon from one of the complexes we were waitlisted at, and they want us to come in and do the move in packet. I need to come up with $75 for the application fees, plus $525 for my mom's current overdraft/Speedy Cash loan payment and $445 for my current overdraft/Speedy Cash loan payment, and I need to knock down at least the two smaller loans, but yeah. I am so excited!
$585/$3500
EDIT 2: My daughter just got diagnosed with Covid. Her symptoms are pretty mild, thankfully, and she's on Paxlovid for it, but yeah. We need ideas for getting stuff for her to eat since her throat hurts so much and my food stamps card has disappeared (I have yogurt smoothies and bottled water, and she can suck on cold applesauce packets, but that will only last until Thursday), and any help I can get covering overdrafts and the loan payments on the 10th would be much appreciated as well so I can get us food while i wait for my replacement card.

Moving day S.R x fem! reader

Overture- Reader is moving into a neighborhood where a serial killer is hunting down women living alone, so when the FBI shows up on her doorstep she gets assigned protective custody from one Dr. Spencer Reid
*Includes references to season 1 episode 18 "Someone's watching" but this is season 3 or later
You were finally getting space away from your family, you’d finally saved up enough. You were able to actually buy a small house, as a mortgage payment ended up being cheaper than rent. You may be living it up in a two bedroom now, but you were no heiress. Movers were out of the question, you rented a small moving truck and set out to do a 24 hour moving day. You’d painted, picked up all of your second hand furniture, all of your packed boxes, and changed the locks. You’d just finished moving the first set of boxes inside when a black suv pulled in behind you in the driveway. An older gentleman came out and made a beeline towards you, with a man that looked like he could be his son trailing behind him.
“My name is Agent Rossi, and this is Dr. Reid, we’re with the FBI. We’d like to ask you a few questions.” You’d lived here a minute and a half and federal agents were knocking on your door. Your mother would have a stroke if you told her, so you focused on the younger guy who was about your age instead of letting your mind spiral with the possibilities of why they’re here.
“Sure, what can I do for you?” Your attention was pulled from the Dr. Reid, who’d yet to speak, when his colleague spoke up again.
“Can we come in?” The last thing you wanted was strangers in your house, but they had badges so you felt like you couldn’t realistically say no. Plus they could at least help you unload a couple of boxes while they talked.
“Sure, but everyone needs to grab a box first, I’m on a bit of a tight timeline.”
“Understood.” They each grabbed a box, and you did a small internal celebration that they grabbed the boxes of books you’d been dreading carrying inside. You grabbed one of the smaller ones, full of clothes instead. Once you arrived you sat down on the arm of your couch, gesturing for them to sit on the two chairs you’d picked up earlier that day.
“Thank you for getting those, I appreciate it. What can I do for you?” The younger man spoke up for the first time since he’d been there.
“We were hoping you could answer a few questions for us about the neighborhood.”
“I’m sorry, I don’t think I can help you. Unfortunately the moving boxes aren’t really for decoration. I’ve lived here for less than a day.”
“We actually think you could be in a unique position to help, because you haven’t lived here long. You would be more acutely aware of the behavior of your neighbors because you aren’t used to it.”
“Alright, then by all means, ask away.” The younger man asked almost all of the questions, with the older Agent Rossi taking diligent notes in his notepad. He started with questions of your interactions with your neighbors, but then shifted to the crime that brought him there. Someone had been targeting young women who lived alone in the few blocks surrounding your house.
“Would you be comfortable coming to the station to be put in protective custody?” You’d say yes in a heartbeat if it was any other day. Especially if it meant being in Dr.Reid’s orbit. You weren’t big into dating, yet there was something–compelling about him. But this was quite possibly the busiest day you’d had in the last year.
“No, I’m sorry but I can’t. I’ve still got boxes to unpack, furniture to put together, I can’t just pick up and leave.”
“Understood. Give us just one second.” Agent Rossi chimed in, pulling Dr. Reid aside while you checked your phone. Well, mostly staring at the homepage while eavesdropping on their hushed conversation. They were terrible at whispering.
“Why don’t you stay here with her? You can help us over the phone if we need it, and she fits the victimology.”
“I don’t know if that’s a good idea. She’s a little bit distracting. Maybe you should stay with her.”
“That’s exactly why you should stay with her, have you seen the way she looks at you? I swear she wouldn’t even notice I was here if I didn’t talk first.”
The young man eventually relented, although he still seemed a bit pouty about the whole thing. Then Agent Rossi turned his attention back to you, and you pretended not to have been eavesdropping on the whole thing. You couldn’t tell if he was buying it.
“How would you feel about Dr. Reid offering you protective custody here? You could go about your business, Dr. Reid would just keep an eye out for you.”
“Yeah that’d be fine, if he’s ok with it? It certainly won’t be interesting, you know, unless someone does decide to kill me.” He paled for a second before realizing it was a joke. You nudged him with your elbow, and then he finally let out a shaky exhale. Not really a laugh, but you’ll take it. Agent Rossi just gave you a smile and pat Dr. Reid on the shoulder.
“You kids have fun.” Then when the door was mostly closed behind him, he opened it back up to say “Not too much fun.” before laughing to himself all the way to the car. You pulled the tape off of one of the boxes before unloading some of your books onto the shelves you put up that morning.
“So Dr. Reid, what favor did you owe him to get stuck with me? Did you lose a bet or something?”
“You–uh, you can just call me Spencer, and why would you think I wouldn’t want to be here?”
“Why would you? I mean, it must be exciting being in the FBI and all, if it were me I wouldn’t want to babysit a fully grown adult.”
“It’s not babysitting, and I’m happy to be here.”
“Well that’s very sweet. But you're about to regret every life choice that’s led you to this point.” His face stiffened with confusion at that before you laughed teasingly.
“We have to move my mattress out of that truck. Since you’re here, I’d love to get out of dragging it on a tarp outside.” He actually laughed at that, and you were grateful you could get an actual laugh from him with that stupid of a joke. Maybe you had a chance with him after all.
You’d just managed to get the mattress on the boxspring in your room, barely. You crashed down onto it in celebration and exhaustion.
This is the fruit of our labor, and for that I thank you. I think this calls for a drink.” You jumped back up and bounced to the kitchen, with Spencer trailing slowly behind you, still trying to catch his breath. You continued talking to him down through the hallway. “I’m not big into actual drinking so I don’t have any alcohol, but I have water, orange juice, and coffee I think.”
He breathed a sigh of relief at the fact you’d stop going for a second. Before unloading your mattress you unpacked 3 boxes, and unloaded 6, while he could only struggle to keep up. You even found the energy to make conversation while you did it, and he was panting by the end, attempting to talk and lift. He’d never struggled to talk before. Every once in a while he needed to take a break from helping you to help the team, with them calling for whatever random information he could give, yet he was still lagging behind you with every trip back outside.
“Coffee sounds amazing.” He figured the coffee maker was already set up, with the energy you had, you'd have to have more than he did. And he had 4 cups this morning.
“Coming right up!” His relief at your pause in momentum was short lived. You made your way back to the living room and started shifting through boxes again.
“What are you looking for? I thought you wanted to take a break.”
“The coffee maker, it’s in one of these boxes, I just can’t remember which one. I mostly use it when I have guests.” You peaked his interest with that, there was no way that you just had all this motivation. It was humanly impossible.
“Do you usually order yours? Or do you have a preference for energy drinks?”  Then you found the box holding the coffee machine and cut it open, laughing just a little bit to yourself at his interrogation-like line of questioning over something so simple.
“Neither, I’m just not super into it. All of this annoying is 100% natural.” You plastered a cheesy smile on your face as you turned to him, coffee pot in hand. He just furrowed his brow in confusion.
“I don’t think you’re annoying, but your relentless energy is interesting.”
“Well thank you, Spencer. I don’t think I have creamer, but I definitely have sugar, so I hope that’s ok?”
“Sugar is perfect, thank you again.”
“Of course, thanks for helping me with that mattress, and you know, the whole bodyguard thing you’ve got going on.” You got down one of the mugs you’d recently put away, before passing it, filled with coffee, along with the sugar to Spencer.
“I’ve got to return that truck as soon as we get everything out of it, but I can pick up some food on the way back? And I’ve got movies in one of these boxes. You’re welcome to pick something, I like everything in there.” He chugged the coffee in his hand before moving with you toward the door.
“Sorry, but protective custody only works when I’m close to you. So as long as you’re still ok with it, I’ll go with you. Also there’s no way I’m letting you pay for dinner after intruding on your space all day.”
“Alright, then we’d better get started, the sun’s setting soon, and I hate the idea of driving that thing at night.” He gave a short nod and followed you out. You got the rest of the boxes, returned the truck, and picked up your car from the lot. When you went to pick up dinner Spencer, true to his word, insisted on paying. You sat on the floor and ate off the box your coffee table came in, deciding to put it together another day. When you cleaned up and finished unpacking your boxes of books and dvds you told Spencer he could pick a movie. He chose the one sci-fi flick from your collection, and you were not at all surprised.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
You weren’t quite sure when it happened. When you had moved to the couch, when you had offered to share a blanket with Spencer, or when you ended up falling asleep propped against his arm, the energy you had all day finally exhausted. The movie was long since forgotten when his phone rang and he answered in a whisper, not realizing the ringtone had already woken you up.
“Hey Morgan, what’s up?”
“Hey kid, we found him, so you’re free to go. Unless of course, you’d like to stay.” You could hear the teasing tone in his voice even through the phone.
“What are you talking about?”
“Oh forget it, Rossi already told everyone. Look, we’re not leaving until tomorrow morning. Just be at the station at 5 to pack up before we go, now go and make me proud.” You assumed he hung up with the way Spencer let out a long sigh before putting his phone back in his pocket.
“Everything ok?” You mumbled out, alerting Spencer to the fact you were awake and continuing to stay propped against him for your own benefit, before leaning up to stretch and be able to look him in the eye.
“Everythings fine, we found the person we were looking for, so we’re headed back to Virginia in the morning.” There was an air of sadness to his response, so you thought back on what the other agent said.
“I know you probably have to get back, but it’s late and you’re welcome to stay here if you like.”
“I really couldn’t, it’s not only an imposition, but really inappropriate. There’s this concept called transference, essentially it’s where you project affectionate feelings onto people who are helping you, or hold some position of authority. I can’t possibly take advantage like that.” He shuffled to get up from your couch, straightening his clothes and grabbing his things to put them in his leather bag.
“If you don’t want to, that's totally fine, but I wasn’t in danger. It was realistically babysitting more than anything, no one came after me, and nothing bad happened. Also, no offense, but I don’t really think of you or your friend from earlier as ‘Authority’. You’re like my age, and it’s not like you’re cops or anything. You’re federal agents, which is cool and all, but I’m not a murderer, so it’s not like I’m intimidated by you. I like you, but I’m not intimidated by you.” He couldn’t quite form a response, and his thoughts were swimming with the fact that he’d been assigned protective custody by himself twice and he ended up in this situation twice. I mean what are the odds. You were nothing like Lila though, with her he felt nervous all the time, but it was so easy spending the day with you.
“You like me?” You feigned exasperation, with an over dramatic eye roll, and a cheesy smile.
“Yes I like you. It wasn’t exactly an accident that I fell asleep on you, and continued to stay there after your ringtone woke me up.” He allowed himself a shocked smile, he wanted to keep his emotions neutral so as not to pressure you, but he couldn’t contain this.
“Could I maybe get a response? I’m feeling a bit vulnerable here.”
“Sorry, yes of course I like you. I mean, have you seen you? You’re quite possibly the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I’ll stay if you’ll still have me, but I’m sleeping on the couch.”
“What a gentleman–” Just as you were about to tell him that sleeping on the couch was a terrible idea with his height, his phone rang again.
“Reid.”
“Hey Spence, there’s a problem. We aren’t getting that break after all, and we need to get going now. We’ll brief you on the plane, but we need to go. Now.”
“Alright, I’ll be there soon. Thanks JJ.” He looked at you reluctantly after he hung up.
“I have to go, but I really want to see you again. Would–Would that be ok?”
“Of course it would Spencer, I’m just a phone call away.” You pulled out one of the post-its you were using to label boxes and scribbled your number on it.
“Also at the very least, you know where I live.” You laughed, and he did more of a shaky sigh while shaking his head at you. You opened the door for him, and said your goodbyes, wishing him good luck on whatever it was he was about to do.
You didn’t need to wait by the phone long, with him calling you to set up your first date that evening. It was a short drive from Quantico to your house, so he was hopeful about his new relationship. He just hoped this would be the last time you needed protection. He’d be there, and he just hoped that was enough for now.

Chills Right to the Marrow Part 20
part 1, prev part
Wayne’s not so sure how he can do this anymore. The bills are piling on themselves and it’s getting to the point where it’s challenging Everest. It was stupid to check the cost of his stay at the motel. It was stupid of him to be driving his car this much when he can just walk to the hospital each day. It’s only a little way down the road. It could have kept him from filling up his gas tank for another week.
It was stupid for him to do a lot of things, but here he is. Sitting in front of his notebook and splitting his paychecks up into pieces. Taking more out than he should to pay off the motel a little so the bill goes down. Knowing that he can always have a payment plan with the hospital. Take a loan out or something.
All because a house he’d always dreamed of moving into opened up. All because he, stupidly, wondered if he could make just enough to afford the down payment. The mortgage. And he probably could of, if he had somewhere to couch hop instead of paying for this room. If he asked for just a little bit of help. He could have stretched it just thin enough.
There were grants he could have applied to. People willing to donate money to those in need after the earthquake. Anything to give himself a raft to float on. But Wayne’s always been stubborn enough to try and build one on his own. Know he’s drowning because of it.
He does the thing he always did when needing to forget about the world. Burn through a few cigarettes and wish they were cans of beer. Maybe something a little stronger. Question the viability of his vices and his reliance on them to forget. All while trying to remember the point of all of this to begin with.
When the last one in the pack hits the stub, he crushes it into the ash tray. Trying to hold back the damn from breaking. To keep his tears where they need to stay. Inside with his fears. Even if he’s alone, in a room he’s struggling to afford. Even if he could really, truly break in the comfort of solitude.
And if he did, no one needed to know.
All he wanted was a home for Eddie to walk into after the hospital. A room that looked like his back in the trailer with band posters and books pooling of the shelves. Random little figurines and Knick knacks that were so priceless with meaning, but worthless other wise. The acoustic that Wayne saved up to buy, and the electric that Eddie took up dealing just to be able to think about affording.
All he wanted was to be a good father to his kid. To provide the most basic necessity. A safe home with food on the table. A space where Eddie could escape his problems and just be himself. Wayne couldn’t even provide that right now.
His boy was struggling to find himself again, while Wayne’s struggling to stand on two solid feet. He needed the home just as much as he wanted to provide it.
The next day, Wayne pulls himself to the hospital even though he just wants to sleep. Wants to listen to the pull in his back to just give himself the rest he needs. Knowing that he’s going to haul himself off to work and try to get in some overtime.
But here he is, sitting in the hospital room watching Eddie sleep. Just like he has been. The same damned cycle that doesn’t seem to end. Only improving slightly to provide a false sense of security.
It’s starting to get really predictable.
The seat next to him fills, Steve sitting next to him. “Hey. How’re you doing?”
Wayne doesn’t have the energy to lie or tell the truth. So he just shrugs. Steve huffs in agreement.
“Yeah, that tracks.”
They in silence until Wayne asks a question burning on his tongue. “How does it feel to look at a bill and know you can just pay it? Without having to take away from something else?”
“It doesn’t feel like anything,” Steve responds after pausing to think.
“That must be nice.”
“It was.”
Was. Wayne takes surprise to that. “I wouldn’t expect you to have to worry about stuff like that.”
A pained smile finds its way to Steve’s face. “There’s a lot of things you wouldn’t expect about me.”
Wayne doesn’t say anything, trying to give Steve the space should he decide to share more. A few weeks ago, Wayne would have probably lashed out at him. Thought that he was just looking for pity from someone who had nothing left to give. But he’s been more willing to listen. To see beyond his assumptions.
To let someone, he wouldn’t initially think of, let him know that this isn’t a problem only he deals with.
But instead, Steve goes back to silence. When he does speak again, it’s to pull the conversation back to Wayne. “Is something bothering you? Is that why you asked?”
Wayne grunts. Not believing he’s about to share money problems with the son of one of the richest men in Hawkins. Someone who grew up with every luxury there was. Not thinking about the other side for a second. But here he goes, sharing one of his deepest insecurities to open, listening ears.
“I’m just worrying about the bills starting to pile up, that’s all.”
“I’m sure that really stressful. At least Eddie’s hospital bills should be taken care of, that should give you some relief.”
The rest of the room becomes a stark silence. A rush of confusion coming to Wayne’s head. “What?”
“Has his bill not been taken care of?” Steve looks shocked, and angry.
“Not the last I checked.” Wayne starting to wonder if he’s even checked at all, or just went straight to assuming. With all the chaos, it was hard to keep track of the days. What he did in each of them.
Steve stands, rather abruptly. Swearing under his breath. “I’m going to go make a phone call. I’ll see you later.”
Wayne nods goodbye as Steve leaves the room. Glad he shared what he did, even if he was hesitant to. Now he might have a fighting chance to pay his debts. Now he might have a chance to get a house for his boy to go home to.
For himself to go home to. It’s enough hope to make him want to cry again.
Time passes at some undetermined speed. The minutes on the clock slowly ticking by. Creeping toward the time where Wayne has to leave to be able to get to work on time. Wondering if it’s worth it to head back and try to get some rest before he goes.
But he waits. Patiently waits for something to happen. For Eddie to open his eyes and remember him. Say something in his direction other than swears. Say something that he actually means.
It’s later in the afternoon when Eddie starts to stir. His eyes blink open and stare blankly at the ceiling. Realizing all at once that he’s stuck in this fate. Look so defeated while he tries to do something as simple as raise his head.
It’s like he’s back to being newly born and learning how to do things on his own. Anger and sadness being the most reliable emotions. Rampant frustration knowing that he’s capable of more, but just can’t.
Wayne steps in when Eddie grips the handrails and tries to pull himself into a sitting position. Places a hand on Eddie’s shoulder to stop him while he readjusts the bed. Making sure Eddie’s pillows are still comfortable.
Eddie leans deeply into the bed with a silent thank you in his eyes. Hands falling in his lap, gently twitching and starting to fidget. If Eddie was wearing his rings, he’d be spinning them around his fingers.
“I’m sorry, I don’t have a book or anything to read to you,” Wayne says to fill the silence. Not quite knowing what to say. “It’s just me today.”
Eddie stares at Wayne like he’s searching for something. Mixed with a knowing sadness behind it all. He knows what he did, Dustin said as much the other day. He’s starting to remember more and more. New and old pain coming back to him all at once.
It must be exhausting.
“That’s ok,” Eddie breathes. Barely a whisper. It’s the first thing he’s said to Wayne that he actually means.
“You just missed Steve,” Wayne says cautiously. “Still don’t fully understand how the two of you ended up hanging out over the break. Or became what I’m assuming is some level of friends. If what he says is true. But I guess people change right, otherwise he wouldn’t be givin’ you the time of day let alone visiting you this often. Turned out to be a nice kid.”
Wayne’s just talking to get some kind of reaction. Filling the space with nonsense just to be good company. So Eddie doesn’t feel so alone anymore.
“I’m doing ok,” he continues. Making sure that Eddie knows not to worry about him. “You know me, just working at the plant. Tryin’ to get some overtime. Like normal. I’ve been stayin’ at this motel down the road so I can be here if anything happens. Don’t have to drive across town.”
Eddie takes a deep breath. Mouth opening as words start to form. “I’m sorry.”
“For what, you did nothing wrong.”
Tears gloss over Eddie’s eyes. The pain releasing itself in the only way it knows how. “I ran. I’m sorry.”
Wayne sits on the edge of his seat, getting as close to the bed as possible. “Listen to me, you have absolutely nothing to be sorry for. You were scared, you ran, we all do. I don’t care what happened in that week. I don’t care what happened yesterday, or the day before. What matters now is that you’re here, and you’re getting better. That’s all that matters to me.”
“But,” Eddie chokes. Breathing in deep. “I yelled at you. I’m sorry.”
“You were scared. You’re in pain. I know you didn’t mean it. It’s ok. I didn’t go through all of your teenage years without getting screamed at, I know how to take it.”
“I want to go home,” Eddie says, voice breaking.
Wayne wants so much to be able to give him that. Wants to lie and tell him it’s waiting for him. But Eddie’s going through enough already, he doesn’t need the lies. The truth might not be the nicest to hear, but it’s better than the feeling of a revealed lie. Wayne didn’t need to add anything to Eddie’s pain.
“Yeah, I do too.”
They sit in silence until Wayne has to go to work. Stands from the chair and wishes his back would just act like twenty years ago again. Says his goodbye to Eddie and makes his way out the door.
“Love you, Wayne,” Eddie says to him before stepping outside of the room.
Wayne turns back to look at Eddie practically falling asleep again. “Love you, too, Eddie. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
note: a little earlier this week cause I'm going on vacation. chapter now posted on my ao3 as well.

Hello! I hope you're doing well and I'd like to thank you for being the rad trans uncle of Tumblr. I'm in a fuckin' crimson state that's quite unfriendly to trans people and I'm afraid I won't be able to leave until 2028 at the earliest. Might I ask if there's anything you'd recommend doing? Anywho, I hope the leaves were great where you are! Peace!
It's been weird, but I'm glad to be here. :) As for recommendations, well, while you are not in a great place for trans rights, thinking ahead towards a move a few years down the road *is* good. Stuff you should be considering:
Get your finances in order.
Start with making a budget (I like the tool YNAB), tracking your habits, and looking for places to reduce spending. I know that can mean squeezing blood from a stone, but even saving up gas money for a cross-country trip can move up your moving timeline.
You also want to start planning your moving expenses. For example, buying boxes, using a moving service, cost to service your car, calming meds for your pets, etc. Just make a spreadsheet and keep adding as you think of things. Have a rolling total and track against your savings.
Lastly, get your credit score in order. A free service like Credit Karma is fine, but as you get closer to having to apply for rent or a mortgage, sign up with each credit agency and pull your report. Get caught up on any delinquencies asap and do not miss any payments from now until you are moved - missed payments take the longest of ANYTHING to fall off your score.
If you've changed your legal name, make sure it matches with all the credit bureaus. If you feel responsible with credit, ask for a credit line increase every 6 months - that will help with your debt ratio if you are currently trying to pay down a balance. Plan a credit score timeline with a hard stop at least 2 months before you apply for a loan/rent -- after that, no more making any big purchases or applying for new cards. Try to have no more of 10% of your total credit line actually on your cards by the end of your timeline. Aka, if your line of credit is $1,000, you only want $100 on the cards.
2. Start paring down your stuff
Gt crafty hobbies? Stop adding to your stash. Stop it. Start getting rid of broken things, clothes that don't fit, stuff you don't see yourself using, or stuff that is cheaper to sell & buy at your new place, rather than pay to move. If this all feels hard, put the items you're questioning in a box now, and then open it next year and see how you feel. Don't buy anything you wouldn't want to move.
3. Start your research
Make lists of towns that look promising. See how their local government works. Check the local reddits and facebook groups to get the vibes. Make lists of "must haves" and "nice to haves" at the state, city, neighborhood, and even house level. Get an idea for what the cost of living will be in your new place. Decide what your deal-breakers will be.
4. Work on your job skills
Four years is a lot of time to improve yourself for a good salary hike. It's a lot of time to get marketable for remote jobs, which will broaden your opportunities to live where you want. If remote work interests you, start looking at job listings and note the requirements. Make a plan to be qualified within 3 years.
5. Make a bucket list of things to do in your current state
There must be some good things about your state. There were in mine. Afford yourself grace and do some fun things that you might not have the chance to do again when you move. Hang out especially with local friends and family you care about.
6. Keep an eye on what's happening wrt trans rights.
Follow trans pundits and your local trans rights orgs. Get in the habit of learning what's going down in your municipality, down to the school board level. Be prepared to have to adjust your moving timeline if shit hits the fan.
7. Stay on top of your healthcare and legal stuff
No passport yet? Apply now. Forgetful about getting your HRT renewed? Set reminders and work hard to stay on top of everything. As you get closer to moving, research healthcare options in your new home and get appointments lined up asap.
8. If you're selling & buying a house, be prepared for it to take nearly a year
Seriously, it can take forever for everything to work out. Work with realtors in your new state who specialize in remote sales & relocations. Start repairing your current place by year 3 and start packing months in advance of the final move.
tldr; Treat the next 4 years like you're at college and your degree is Getting the Hell Outta Dodge. Plan as much as you can with to-do lists and spreadsheets, with some kind of monthly goal at first, then weekly and daily goals as your move approaches. It can feel overwhelming, but knowing *now* that you are going to move means you can plan as much as possible and reduce the amount of panic-decisions.
Good luck!

Suvi is *by far* my favorite character in WBN. Like I get Ame and her idealism, and I get Eursulon and his passion, the Fox is hilarious and a fantastic foil.
But Suvi. My god Suvi.
I’m on my first relisten and she’s magnificent at every turn.
Children’s adventure and she stays inside. Does as she’s told. Doesn’t go out in the dark. Cleans up the bathroom! Waits. Alone.
She makes it in time—Grandmother Ren calls her my granddaughter and I am slain. Casts identify on the house!
Immediately says yes to helping Ame find the sword. No question. She doesn’t have to. But she does it.
Leaves a coin for the family and helps with the damn laundry! Do you know how practical that is?!
Immediately solves the being stuck problem for Eursulon. Terrifies that horrible little man with a Wild One under his boot. She rescues the music box, no question. Eursulon is free.
And Emliss.
Emliss.
Terrifying.
She ends Emliss, the Chalice, the shadow. The thing that *kills* Ame in a single turn.
The *indignity* of having to pay a hustler (FINLEY) for her mother’s coat lining. Yeah, okay, Eursulon went and made it all right (bet he never pays her back). But Ame talking about payment when she doesn’t even have money?!
Who fights for Suvi? Who defends her? Who thinks of her?
Ame making assumptions about the Citadel. (yes yes we get it institution bad we know what we’re listening to) But come on! Ame has no knowledge at this stage, just judgement!
Will Gallows. The Ace of Wands.
They never get the sword without Suvi in that room. Ice in her veins. Ice.
Who asked for “I’d like to count you among my friends.” Eursulon has the string in his pocket, but Suvi is the one who bargained for it.
Don’t even get me started on the Chantry and Morrow. I’m not doing it.
She gets them SAFE.
Resolves problems and defends her people with confidence and conviction.
She doesn’t deserve that dressing down from Steel. She doesn’t.
And Ame vanishes.
Off to talk to a murderess goddess that would end Port Talon in a heartbeat.
Of course Suvi goes to rescue her. Immediately! NO QUESTION. You think a search party would have found Ame?! With Orima of the Reaching Green as pissed as she was? HA. (but yes she’s thinking of Steel she doesn’t want to let Steel down not again not Steel)
Three days of walking and walking and walking.
(okay but Aabria having Suvi lose it is freaking brilliant and just absolutely incredible role play absolute perfection what a way to lean in)
And then Steel. Again.
Larger than life.
With the yelling. And the power. And the telemet.
Calls her a princess (dismissive) questions her like a prisoner (her adoptive mother really) and knows about the King of Night (suspicious).
And then.
Naram.
The Wild One heeds a call. The Witch arbiters consequences.
Our Wizard saves the godsdamned day.
She doesn’t run when it’s the derrick that’s at stake. She gets it. Even though she’s said awful things (you get what you get what a LINE trap a spirit and you get what you get bet she feels that way about Eursulon she trapped him she deserves it).
Suvi’s brilliance is not about what she says it’s about what she does. Galani mentions Orima and Suvi immediately moves.
Suvi’s quick thinking saves Port Talon.
Actually saves Port Talon.
She’s the one that does it. She’s the one that leads Orima to Naram. The reaching green and its *stranglers* and its indifferent cruelty to those in its way. ON THREE HIT POINTS.
And then Steel has the AUDACITY to act disappointed. (it’s not at Suvi not really but still).
Impossible odds.
Complex character choices and she carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. Always thinking, strategizing, anticipating.
SUVI.
Love Suvi.
She makes the right choice. Every time.

Nother idea: Wayne & Eddie coming home from a long ass day, tired & stressed, both of them arriving at their trailer at the same time. Both of them taking a deep breath knowing that they'll have to clean up & prepare dinner but both are exhausted. But when they come in their trailer is sparkling clean. The floors swept & mopped, dirty clothes put into the wash, clean clothes folded neatly on the couch in piles for both Eddie and Wayne. Their trailer smells clean & fresh, they turn towards the kitchen & see Steve humming quietly to himself along with the radio on low as he pulls fresh made supper from the oven, on the counters are baked goods cooling. Wayne & Eddie realizing that Steve not only cleaned up their home but he prepared them easy to reheat meals, cleaned up their space bc he knew they'd be exhausted & both of them like the trailer to be clean, but neither had time. So he did it because they are his family & he loves them & wants them to feel safe and cared for in their new home.
MY LOVE! So I kinda ran with a somewhat different background plot, just because it kind of felt like I needed to show that Steve ain't slackin'. I also moved this one ahead of another request because I needed to write Wayne in a sappy way after chapter 2 of demon Steve. Steve was born to be a housewife with guidance counselor tendencies and I don't make the rules. ENJOY! - Mickala ❤️
-------------------------------------------------------
Eddie felt the exhaustion fully hit him as soon as he put his van in park.
He’d been working more overtime over the last month to save up for the down payment on the house he and Steve fell in love with.
The government money helped, but it mostly went to medical bills and a new van when his old one had become government property.
Wayne told him to keep as much of it saved as he could. “You never know what life will throw at ya,” he’d said.
Steve had been working a lot too, but was focusing on his classes at the community college, trying to set up a better future for both of them.
It meant that Eddie was pulling a lot of the financial weight right now, that Wayne was doing as much as he could for them so they could actually save up, but it would all be worth it.
Wayne knocked on his window and he blinked his eyes open again.
When had he even closed them?
Eddie opened the door and stepped out, groaning at the ache in his knee. It still wasn’t 100%, probably never would be as long as he was doing physical labor, and today had been particularly rough at the shop.
“Alright, bud?” Wayne asked him, hand on his shoulder.
“Yeah. Just tired,” Eddie replied.
“You and me both. Let’s go relax a bit.”
But relaxing wouldn’t be on the table until they fixed dinner and cleaned up a bit and Eddie knew the faucet had been leaking when he left this morning and they didn’t need a leak like that running up the water bill, so he should probably try to fix it before bed.
He let Wayne go in first, as always, knowing he’d take longer going up the porch steps.
He could handle walking just fine most of the time, but stairs were a bitch.
He nearly walked right into Wayne when he walked through the front door, the older man standing stock still right in the entrance.
“Wayne? You good?” Eddie asked, his mind suddenly filtering through any number of terrible reasons for his sudden frozen demeanor.
And then he could smell it.
Cookies.
Someone was baking cookies.
And then he saw it.
The living room was completely cleaned and organized, magazines stacked neatly on the table, no crumbs on the couch or carpet, the weird mud stain from Eddie’s boots no longer on the rug by the front door.
He heard the record player going, though the volume was low enough that he could also hear Steve singing in the kitchen.
“Looks like your boy’s been busy,” Wayne smirked over his shoulder at him.
“I don’t-“ Eddie started to say.
“Eds? Wayne? You guys home?” Steve called from the kitchen.
Before they answered, he walked around the corner with an apron on, his glasses perched on his nose, and a beaming smile on his face.
“I just put the lasagna back in the oven to heat up a bit for you. Had to wait for the cookies to come out,” Steve said as he walked towards them.
He wrapped his arms around Eddie’s neck and kissed him on the lips quickly, then pulled away to give Wayne a quick side hug.
“I made some lemonade that should be nice and cold by now. You want some?”
Eddie and Wayne blinked at him, surprise at what was happening rendering them speechless.
“Is everything okay?” Steve’s tone shifted to concern, the smile dropping from his face as he took in their stillness.
“You cleaned?” Wayne asked.
“And cooked?” Eddie asked.
“And baked?” Wayne added.
“My afternoon class was canceled and Keith said he wouldn’t approve overtime for me, so. I came home?” Steve still looked concerned, like he was waiting for one or both of them to start yelling at him.
“Where’s your car?” Wayne asked.
That was a great question. Eddie just realized it wasn’t in the yard, which was half the reason he’d been shocked to see Steve here at all.
“Oh! Max needed to go to therapy. I was already in the middle of baking so I told her she could just use it as long as she was back by eight.”
“So you’ve been cleaning and baking and cooking all afternoon? For us?” Eddie asked, biting back as much emotion as he could.
He was tired and overwhelmed with love and he knew he would start crying if he didn’t contain some of it.
“I just wanted to take care of you guys and take care of our house. You worked all day and I had some free time to do it,” Steve shrugged.
Wayne collected himself first, moving toward Steve and squeezing his shoulder.
“Thanks, son. You don’t know how much I appreciate ya doin’ all this,” he said, voice slightly choked up.
“It’s no problem, Wayne,” Steve replied, face red.
“Mind if I go grab a shower first?” he asked Eddie.
“Fine with me,” Eddie responded.
Wayne nodded once, smiling at them both, and walked to his room to grab clothes for after his shower.
Steve looked up at Eddie shyly.
“Lasagna will be about 20 more minutes if you wanna grab a drink,” he said quietly.
Eddie smirked.
“Some of that lemonade sounds nice,” he played along, knowing exactly where this was going.
No matter how tired or sore he was, he wouldn’t turn down the chance to get his hands on Steve or have Steve’s hands on him.
Steve led him into the kitchen by his hand, tugging him along as he excitedly explained that he’d found the lemons at a farm stand on his way home from work yesterday and considered using them for a cheesecake, but decided this would be better.
Eddie smiled at him fondly, just happy that Steve is happy.
“I’ll get you a glass, just wait right there,” Steve said, pushing him against the counter gently.
But Eddie didn’t let him pull away yet, fisted his shirt and pulled him against his front.
“Eds!” Steve yelped as they made contact.
“I’m sure the lemonade is perfect, but I want a taste of you first, sugar,” Eddie mumbled, leaning down to press his lips against Steve’s.
Steve melted against him, letting Eddie’s tongue past his lips and letting out a low moan when Eddie’s hands squeezed his ass.
“What’re you doing?” he whispered against Eddie’s lips.
“Touching you,” Eddie answered before kissing the corner of his mouth, his cheek, his jaw.
“Wayne though.”
“He’s already in the shower. We got a few minutes.”
“We can’t do much in a few minutes,” Steve said, trying to stifle another moan as Eddie’s fingers untied his apron and slid to the front of his jeans to undo his button.
“You underestimate how hot it is to see you like a little housewife, sweetheart,” Eddie chuckled.
Steve slapped his arm.
“Not a housewife.”
“No? You sure seemed happy about cleaning up and cooking for me,” Eddie said as he slid his hands into the waistband of Steve’s boxers.
“Eds,” he gasped, but didn’t stop him as he wrapped his hand around his half-hard cock.
“Get me out, Stevie. Don’t have much time,” Eddie groaned.
Steve did as he was asked, but still seemed hesitant.
Eddie paused.
“You wanna call it?” he asked.
If Steve truly didn’t want to, he knew what to say to stop, and he knew Eddie would stop, no questions asked.
But he shook his head, biting his lip to contain a whimper as Eddie looked down at their cocks and spit.
“Gotta stay quiet, still. Don’t wanna be caught,” Eddie whispered as he leaned in to kiss him again, keep his mouth preoccupied so he didn’t give them away.
He knew Wayne would be at least another 10 minutes, but they both liked the idea of having to stay quiet and be quick.
And quick it was.
They both came in barely two minutes, Eddie riled up from Steve just being Steve, Steve being riled up at the fact they were doing this in the kitchen.
“I just cleaned this floor, you better not have gotten anything on it,” Steve smirked at Eddie as they buttoned themselves back up.
“Promise I’ll clean it up myself if I did.”
“You better. Gonna go shower next?” Steve tied the apron back up, walking over to the fridge to finally get the lemonade.
“Yeah, I’m pretty sore today. Hot water will help.”
Steve turned to him with a furrowed brow.
“You should’ve said, baby. You need some Motrin or something?”
“Nah, maybe after I eat. Got a dose of you to help,” he winked obnoxiously.
“Alright, keep it in your pants,” Steve said as he poured a glass for Eddie and a glass for Wayne.
“You’re the one who had it out a minute ago!”
Steve just gave him a dead-eyed stare before handing him his lemonade.
“Get out of my kitchen.”
“Sir, yes sir!” Eddie saluted.
He took a few sips of the lemonade as he walked towards his bedroom to grab clothes.
It was delicious, as he expected.
Just like coming home to Steve every day.

Tumblr media
"I see that you're making yourself at home."
You lean your head against the terrace's threshold, looking at the man helping himself to the drink cabinet with the manner of accommodation only the lord of the house would possess - which he's not - but your eyes are trained on his deft fingers mixing a sweet alcoholic concoction. As predicted, he's quick to shoot a remark to refute your chaff.
"It's what they would've wanted for us, no? We're keeping an eye on their home. Last time I checked the drink cabinet was a part of it."
And you were oh-so kind as to turn down any other kind of payment, you think to yourself, not sure if you want to let the words slip out and accidentally stroke his ego. Not when you want to play with said kindness for a little longer.
"Don't worry, I'm making one for you as well. I saved you the most coquettish glass I found around here too."
"It's appreciated."
Jin catches your gaze briefly before making himself appear engrossed with working the shaker. You'd chuckle if it wasn't successfully impressing you.
"What about you, sweetheart? Are you not enjoying it outside?"
He makes it easier for you, instantly clocking your lingering around the door clad in your pink bikini and how it might not be linked to you simply wishing to watch him prepare the cocktails.
"Mm, I was actually just about to come ask you to help me with something, if you don't mind."
Jin smirks, adding the finishing touch to both glasses in the form of two perfect slices of lime he previously cut.
"Of course I don't mind. Let's take these outside, I was just about to join you."
You smile back and turn around, feeling the sun's veil rest hotly on skin as soon as you step out of the shade. Jin follows, not flinching even when he sets his big, sturdy feet bare on the scorching tiles. He takes the few steps leading to the corner of the terrace occupied by a pair of wooden beach lounges and leaves the cocktails by the small table in the middle.
"Let me guess. You were putting sunscreen on but there's this spot you just can't reach, so you need your boyfriend's hands to the rescue."
You snort at Jin, sitting down on the soft cushioning of the lounge. "It's not that, but I like your imagination. I'll keep it in mind when I get to the sunscreen. First I need to decide where I want to lay, so…"
"Okay, let me move the lounge for you."
Bingo.
"Ahh, you're a saver! Wait, let me show you where I want it."
Rejuvenated, you jump to your feet, walking to a somewhat distant spot of the spacious terrace, looking pleadingly at Jin.
"There? Alright, give me a second."
"Yes, the garden is visible from there and I think it's even lovelier from above. We should walk around it properly later… I think I spotted a few fig trees too, and those flowers that I was telling you about…I still don't know what they're called…"
Letting only a murmur in reply, Jin rolls up his red shirt's sleeves just a little higher to be sure, and gets behind the lounge to push it to where you are.
"Jinnn, get rid of that shirt already. I thought you wanted to sunbathe with me?"
Your plea falls on deaf ears for the duration of the task, but the Jin Grandet you know won't just ignore an undressing request like that. So he makes a show out of dusting off his hands once he's done moving the lounge and reaches to the uppermost button on his chest. "Yeah? Someone's getting impatient to see me naked?"
You already regret asking, but the roll of your eyes is more of an exaggeration than anything.
"Anyway, thank you. It's perfect."
You keep your eyes on Jin as you lie down, retrieving your sunglasses from the top of your head to put them on and make yourself comfortable. The way the seconds drag on agonizingly slowly is killing you, but you know you have to time it right before you speak again, "Actually, Jin…"
"Yes, sugar?"
"I think the sun is too much for me here…" You adjust your sunglasses that now do a great job at subtly ogling Jin's freshly-stripped-down torso. "I wonder if you could possibly-"
"Don't get up."
Oh, that's perfect. You offer Jin a polite little chuckle as you settle back into the beach lounge and leave it to Jin to drag it across the terrace along with you.
He makes it look so easy, pulling it to the more shady parts of the terrace once again. His sturdy backwards steps are slowed down enough to make you indulge yourself in the moment, the way he towers over your back and throws a shadow across your body.
"What do you say about… right here, under the straw umbrella. It lets through some sun."
"Hmmm." You linger on the thought, without paying much mind on it in the first place. "Turn me around, maybe?"
"As you wish."
Jin changes position, going to the feet of the lounge now. When he enters your vision, you see that the sun did wonders with the mini-workout you put him through, quickly turning the efforts into beads of sweat forming all over his toned torso. He's glorious when he leans down to grab a hold of the lounge, letting you fix your eyes on him from above. He knows you're staring, even with the shades on, but whatever.
He's done with your request all too soon. The beads of sweat start running down his body by the time he straightens himself back up, and his height looks even more impressive when you're so close to the ground. The sun creates a soft halo over his chestnut head when you follow his fingers carding through his hair.
"Jin," You start, not even pausing to wonder when your breath has become as rasped as if you were the one doing all the hard work around here, "I think I'm still a little hot."
"Sure you are. Clenching your thighs shut like that, I imagine it's not helping much.
The sudden realization hits you with a shudder, and your legs part open. Jin invites himself in, sinking one knee down between yours before you can grasp a sense of the situation.
"I…"
"What? Don't tell me you don't like it here either."
You turn your head to the side as Jin leans in closer, leaving your neck open for his kisses. There's nothing delicate about them; he can't be patient any longer, roughened by your little games - and you take all the credit for making him like that. While playing coy of course.
"Mm… I think I'm beginning to enjoy myself here."
Jin's teeth graze your skin and he can't help himself letting them linger right there; imprinting their shape on you as he bites your shoulder playfully. He is quick to travel south, making good use of your exposed skin due to the bikini, until his cleavage kisses spread all the way to the thin strap connecting the two triangular patches of fabric over your chest. You look at Jin bewildered and he has the audacity to hold your gaze as he catches the strap between his teeth and yanks your bikini up.
Your breasts bounce free and a gush of indecency creeps through you. Surely there must have been less animalistic ways for your boob-crazed boyfriend to undress you.
Not that you feel like scolding him. Even if he ends up tearing your bikini apart, at the very most you'd smack his cheek before accepting that you'll have to sunbathe topples for the rest of the day. You're quite the opportunist. If that were the case, you're sure you'd use it to your advantage, putting Jin's self-control to the test while secretly seducing him. He wanted to be with someone who matched his sexual energy, he's not allowed to complain now.
While you think of all the could-have-been's, Jin takes a more simple approach at exploring his desires, by putting his face where he likes it most.
"Think 'm beginning to enjoy m'self here as well."
You can tell, if not merely by knowing him all too well, then by the lustful haze in his eyes. His tongue licks a wet stripe across your left breast until the hard nipple is caught between his plush lips, and he sucks on it. That little spark alone sets the pit of your belly on fire and your legs can barely remain still, so you tentatively wrap one of them around Jin's torso. He humps the crevice of your thigh twice and you mewl into the back of your hand, stuck between wanting him to keep sucking and humping you and wanting him to do more. Gradually the latter prevails as it's barely enough for you.
"Jin…"
"Nngh," a guttural sound rolls off Jin's throat the moment your hand trails down to grasp his length through his white shorts. He lets go of your chest, leaving it glistening with saliva, and sits up between your parted legs, caressing one of them all the way to your knee then palming the ball of it, readily, as if about to rearrange you any moment now for a nice fucking. "Tell me something."
There's question in the tone of your voice even if the sound you produce reminds more of a needy moan. Your fingers toy with the ties of your bottom piece, waiting to see if Jin bashes your hand away in favor of unwrapping you himself. But whatever he's going to ask about seems to be more important, so you try to listen.
"What was that all about? You didn't care about sunbathing, did you?"
The delicious bulge in Jin's shorts is very distracting, especially when he times his question with getting rid of them. You wouldn’t want to miss the moment his cock springs out.
"Haha…" You begin, your lips suddenly feeling dry, and you only pick your speech again when you're satisfied with the display of Jin's length sitting up against his abdomen, hot and hard and all yours. "Sue me. You're just so sexy when you work up a sweat."
"So that's what it was. Couldn't think of any other ways to make me work up a sweat?" Jin receives his answer but keeps looking at you, considering something. He gives his cock a nice pump, bottom to top. By now you've come to absolutely loathe the piece of fabric covering you where you're the hottest, and you take matters into your own hands - but Jin's larger hand intervenes, halting your actions as he instead goes for your hip, nudging you to get up.
You stare at him puzzled but comply, letting him switch your places as you find yourself straddling him on the beach lounge.
"Now," he pulls the ties undone on your left side, "Let's see you work up a sweat. What do you say?", then he mimics his actions on the right side, letting the fabric fall and expose your glistening heat.
You suck on a breather, an almost painful throb manifesting between your legs with Jin's request for you to ride him. Had he said that a few minutes ago you'd throw a tantrum, as in your head there hardly was a sexier outcome of this than you lying down being taken by Jin as sweat runs down his body. But for how nonchalant he appears to be, Jin is quite cunning at times. He turns the tables in the one moment he knows you won't be able to refuse him.
And truly, he doesn't need to ask twice. Now completely bare, it's so easy for you to get into position and make sure the tip of his cock kisses your folds ever so titillatingly as you lean in to plant your lips against Jin's. Your right hand finds its way between your legs, enjoying the discovery of your wetness coating the angry-red tip already. Your fingers slip inside your heat, and the promise of something bigger replacing them in just a second makes your toes curl as you prepare yourself.
"C'mon, sweetheart. Guide it in yourself."
Jin's whisper is so raspy as the air of it caresses the side of your face that you have to remember to keep breathing, and you withdraw your fingers. The emptiness inside you calls with another agonizing throb and it's only emphasized by the feeling of Jin in your hand. As you wrap your fingers around his hardness, your slick envelopes him, and you make sure to spread it all over the tip as well. Jin places his sturdy hands in the folds of your knees as they rest on both sides of his abdomen, gently encouraging you. You want to kiss him one last time before your breath is completely stolen, so you do that - but you don't drag it out too long, for neither of you can hold back much longer.
You guide the tip of his hardness inside yourself, and as it catches onto your entrance your walls instantly squeeze around it with a vice-tight grip. Relaxing is harder when you're on top because gravity wants to do its own thing, and you're desperate - but somehow you manage to take it all in, nice and slowly. Jin is huge. You're sure you're never going to get used to it.
"Fuck." He swears, fingernails biting into the paper-thin skin of the crease of your knees, and it sends shivers down your spine. It makes you move up on Jin, and then all too soon fall back down. The feeling is overwhelming, but you can't help wanting more. So you repeat the motion; once and twice and then the wet sounds of you fucking yourself on Jin's cock reach your ears, so you know you've fallen into that lustful dance.
Jin reaches up and grabs a hold of your bouncing breasts, because of course he does, and it enhances the hot feeling inside you. His cock fills you up so nicely, as you drag yourself up and down his length, that you feel like your body moves on its own chasing after the pleasure.
"Do it faster," Jin instructs, and you change position, letting your legs fall to the tiles as you grasp the headrest of the beach longue for purchase without pausing for a second, "Yeah, just like that. Fuck, you feel so good."
The new angle makes it so easy to bounce up and down on Jin, and you take maximum advantage of that, destined to fuck him until the thirst of both of you is clenched. Moans spill from your parted lips, and you chant his name oh-so easily as you feel your orgasm approaching.
Jin's hands leave your breasts only for them to settle on your waist instead. He easily slows you down without using much of his strength, and you whimper at the loss of the delicious build-up he deprived you of. But you're proud to see him just as worked-up as you are.
You use the moment to place some playful kitten licks on his collarbones. The salty taste of his skin all but turns you on more, and you're quite drunk on him. Without noticing, you’ve started grinding down on him again, impatient as you are.
Jin groans and supports your naughty acts, thumbs digging into your hips. He flashes you a wanton look before taking the reins, thrusting his pelvis up.
"Ahhh!!" The moan rips out of your throat, and you don't have room to collect more air before Jin starts earnestly fucking into you from below.
"You're gonna cum all over me? Let me feel you get so tight?"
"Ahhh-Yes, yes- Jin- oh God-"
The sounds of skin slapping against skin and the powerful thrusts make you lose control, and before you know it you're soaring; a powerful orgasm whips through you and your walls clamp down on Jin's cock, hard. Your head is still in the clouds when the telltale groan of Jin following you comes to your ears, and you moan as the hot mass inside you is rapidly removed, making your juices leak out with a small gush. The sensation of hot ropes of cum spraying on your naked skin all but heightens the tingling that still courses through your nethers, and Jin's erotic face is a rewarding sight through your own lens of pink haze.
"Aww…" You let the tiredness in your limbs settle in along with the afterwaves of pleasure as you slide your body down against Jin's, the mixture of your fluids trapped in between. "This calls for a bath."
Jin's hand maps the width of your sun-warmed back, caressing you softly.
"It does. We've yet to check out the water pressure of their showerhead."
"J-Jin!"

30 day fluff challenge: day sixteen
"i want to stay up with you"
Evan yawns as he stretches out on the bed of the truck before snuggling closer to Tommy on the inflatable mattress.
“You don’t have to stay awake,” Tommy tells him, running his knuckles up and down Evan’s tricep. “The meteor shower isn’t going to start for another hour or so and I know you just came off shift.”
Evan shakes his head, nuzzling up into Tommy’s neck and biting down gently. They’ve barely seen each other this week after both picked up extra shifts. They’re working towards a down payment on a house, and while they both have savings, neither of them are necessarily interested in dipping into that for the purchase. As they’ve discussed, between medical expenses, the need to have a savings at any given time due to the nature of their work and the injuries it causes, and other future plans, the logic of starting a new savings specifically towards a home makes more sense. Still, that doesn’t mean that being apart doesn’t suck.
“I’ve missed you,” Evan murmurs to him as he finds the space beneath Tommy’s ear and sucks softly on it. His boyfriend groans softly, presses his hand harder into the space on the center of Evan’s spine.
“You’re missing the sunset,” Tommy says after a minute, teasing.
“Missed you more,” Evan mumbles against his skin. He slides a hand underneath Tommy’s hoodie, brushing his fingers over his boyfriend’s toned abs. He’s not in search of anything—just wants to feel the landscape of his muscles beneath his fingers.
“Should we get a cat,” Tommy muses. Evan huffs softly, knowing his boyfriend is trying to distract him from settling in. He leans back, resting his head on the curve of Tommy’s bicep.
“Are you seriously asking me about us getting an animal together? Or are you just trying to distract me?”
Tommy shrugs, but smirks at him. “Both can be true.”
Evan rolls his eyes, but shifts down so that his head is in the juncture of Tommy’s armpit.
“What happened to the discussion of a dog,” he asks, fingers still moving lazily over Tommy’s abs.
“We do not have the availability right now for a dog,” Tommy counters. “But a cat is a step up from something like a bird while also still being able to mostly take care of themselves. I think you’d like a black cat.”
“Of course, I would,” Evan states, a smirk crossing his face. “I already have one.”
“Hey,” Tommy retorts. “I don’t complain about living with a venerable golden retriever.”
“Venerable,” Evan comments. “Meaning respected. Proves my point entirely.” Tommy tilts Evan’s chin up, and when their gazees lock, Tommy is glaring at him, even though there’s a smile on his face.
“You’re ridiculous,” he states. “Yes, baby, I would love to get a dog, once we actually have a house. But I mean now.”
Evan shrugs then, looking out at the sunset. “I mean yes, a black cat would be a nice fit in your place until we move.”
Tommy nods then. “Cool. I was looking at some rescues, and there are some options.”
Evan looks back up at him, incredulous. “I thought I was the one taking us over hurdles like it’s the olympics.”
“Just thought I’d match your energy,” Tommy replies, scrunching his nose at Evan before leaning in and pecking him. Evan nuzzles their nose after, and then settles once more on his chest. It’s quiet for a bit then, and Tommy stares at the sunset for a bit before looking down when he swears he hears Evan snore. He lets out a chuckle, which seems to disturb him.
“Still awake,” Evan murmurs with a voice so laced with sleep that it’s obvious he had nodded off.
“Sure,” Tommy laughs.
Evan sighs, lifting his head again to look at Tommy. “I want to stay up with you.”
Tommy’s expression softens then, staring at Evan with utter adoration.
“Alright,” he murmurs after a long moment, reaching for his pocket. “You wanna see the cats?”
Evan just nods in response.
